Great time saver

I’ve tried a lot of apps to help organize my daily tasks and none have been as simple yet effective as this app. It’s totally worth purchasing the full version. I love how my lists can be right in view all the time but the minimalistic design keeps it pleasing to the eye.
Very Simple

I just like simple
by been-here-awhile on 2019/05/23 14:47
This app is really easy to use and it does exactly what the description tells you. A simple app to write down your to-do list or any other list you need. It's also very simple with it being back and white theme.
I love this app!
by Zsazsadarling on 2019/05/23 12:43
I’ve downloaded so many productivity apps, but this one steals the show. Easy to use, inexpensive, and very helpful! I love that you can set a timer to work on a task for 25 minutes, and I love the little quotes that pop up to keep you on track like “Nothing to see here, get back to work!” Love it and I honestly use it everyday!

Just missing a few things
by NathanChoi on 2019/05/22 00:49
1. Occasional Crash I believe it has some things to do with the syncing, but the app will sometimes crash when adding a new item into the list. Not often but enough to realize it’s the apps fault. 2. Pomodoro Timer This feature is so so so handy but it would be nice to see the pomodoro timer work properly when the phone is upright. Also adding support to the pomodoro timer for the whole list is a feature that would really help. After all, you’re supposed to finish the whole list with one timer and occasional stops/breaks. Right now the pomodoro timer is just the time with sound selection. Despite though nit-picky points, I feel like this app is my go to app for a simple to-do list. It has a very nice ui and minimalistic touch to the whole app; Which I love.
Great App!

This app is very helpful to me. You can still set goals and it’s easy to get them done, even without paying money. It is very simple and that is what I love most about it. There are also no ads!

Apple Watch
by 123456789JLC on 2019/05/21 00:26
I specifically downloaded this because it falsely states that it works on the watch, however, it doesn’t. The app does appear on the watch but it does not load. It just shows three dots over and over for an excessive amount of time (I tried to let it load for over ten minutes). My watch will be a week old tomorrow, so it’s not the watch. Definitely the app. If you are looking for an app to use with the watch, this is not for you.
Great app!

Good For What It Is
by GirlFromAcrossTheStreet on 2019/05/20 07:31
I mean for what it is, it’s pretty good. Something I love about it is how you can put it in your wigits. So whenever you swipe all the way to the right, you can se wall your tasks. It’s honestly just an online to do list. If that’s what your looking for it works great.
Name fits. Solid app
by KJMB93 on 2019/05/19 01:26
My favorite to-do list app so far. The others have too many steps involved. This is great for anyone who doesn’t want to work a full 8 hour shift organizing a to-do list.

I got this app bc I needed a notes app that had like a darkness feature, not knowing it was 2.99 premium. And so is EVERYTHING else :(
Perfect list app. For real.
by Ockieto on 2019/05/08 13:20
I never leave reviews on here, but I really like this app. I carry around 3 notebooks to track everything I have going on. Although I like writing, I have found it cumbersome, time consuming, and maybe more wasteful than I need to be with both money and material goods. I hate visually noisy spaces when I’m trying to get things done. This is so simple and so far has everything I need for lists. I subject the Done app if your looking for a habit tracker.

by sma0703 on 2019/05/07 22:14
This’s my favorite productivity app so far. I love the product concept and the simplicity of the UI. The only suggestion I have for the designer/dev team is to add the ability of creating folders so that users can better categorize their lists (especially when they have 10+ lists, sometimes it’s easy to get lost in the app).
simple and straightforward

One of the better task managers/ great interface
by The Ginger King & his sloth on 2019/05/02 18:16
I really enjoy using minamalist. The interface is really fun once you get used to it. pros: Simple & fun interface Great time features such timer, pomo timer, & countdown You can repeat tasks, location reminders, and input via voice or siri and share lists Cons: The only thing stopping me from using this as my primary task managers is having a Today view and a calendar view to see how many tasks I have due each day. Everything is based off the lists. It would be great to see what is due today on every list. Also having subtasks would be great as well as being able to comment on each task.
Love it

I never buy apps
by HG Awesome on 2019/04/25 00:15
I always use the free version of everything. But this app is exemplary. It is a work of art that functions and makes my life much much better. I love this app so much, it helps me keep my life organized. I love the upgraded version so I can sort my life into different lists. Such a nice minimal interface too. One suggestion for improvement: an alarm that signals when my timer is up so I know rather than forcing me to keep checking if I’m done.

by Jules age 10 on 2019/04/21 18:05
I was SO ready for this to be the best list app and help me not worry about my paper planner as much and be so much better than AppleNotes. I was wrong. $2.99 for premium?? Multiple lists? Wallpapers? I thought that was included free. I was hoping this would allow me to categorize my to do lists by day, time, and subject because having them all mixed together was not enjoyable. Guess that wasn’t how it was gonna be.
It’s exactly what I was looking for.
by Brace31 on 2019/04/21 07:17

Good, simple checklist app
by Cooner on 2019/04/18 21:36
I always have a lot on my plate, so I maintain a detailed, long-running checklist in another app, which is great for the big picture, but gets a bit overwhelming to use from day to day. I usually end up jotting a shorter to-do list on a Post-it note or mini legal pad of the few things I need to focus on and get done. So as my creative work shifts more and more to coffee shops (love that iPad Pro!) I was hoping I could bring this into the digital realm as well. MinimaList seems to fit the bill nicely. It’s not a feature-heavy to-do list with nested checkboxes and tons of metadata; it reads like a simple scratchpad you can cross things off as you get them done. The paradigm of gestures and all the settings take a short time to get used to, but once they’re in place it works great as a simple daily checklist. I have it synced on both my iPhone and my iPad Pro and use both equally, and while I often launch the app itself, the widget is just as useful to check what’s next or to tick off items as they get done. I get the sense from the settings page that there are some functionalities I haven’t figured out yet; time will tell, but for now it does just what I want it to do. I haven’t used the pomodoro functionality yet, but I use the pomodoro method from time to time so I’ll have to check that out soon. Great app, looking forward to seeing it develop!

I just want a simple list app that allows me to have multiple lists of various things that I can easily all and remove things from. This seemed to only allow me to have one list free, when I tried to make a second it kept just asking me to upgrade to premium. I’m not paying for something that I can do for free with my notes app on my phone.

Great simple and clean with great features. However I have many tasks to complete twice, three times a day. How do I do that? I want to be able to set times for those daily tasks that I have to do everyday and those I have to do only Monday to Friday or weekends only. Another feature WiFi location, when I’m home do this, when at work do that, when I’m climbing a mountain with no service or roaming - forget about the world and don’t bother me with tasking!

Simple & Effective
by iCarlson on 2017/10/01 19:06
As a university student, keeping track of tasks, assignments, and events is incredibly important. I have a physical planner I use for my assignments and events, but I am constantly looking for a good app to use for writing down all my tasks and other stuff, like grocery lists. Other apps are either too busy and difficult to adjust to, functional but unappealing to the eye, or nearly perfect but requires a ridiculous monthly fee. I used this app once and fell in love. It only took a couple of days for me to break down and pay for the lifetime membership of around $8, which I found reasonable. (You can also pay in monthly or yearly payments (both very affordable), but I found the $8 an easier choice.) The interface is simple, but appealing, and acts similar to if I was just writing with a pad and pen. You can edit the theme, there's a timer for concentration, notifications, and you can sync with your other Apple devices, too. One thing I ask to the developers: can you please add the ability to move around the individual group pages? Sometimes I want different pages to be next to each other, but currently there's only the ability to delete them. A small fix, but fantastic app overall!
Great Productivity App
by beepboopbuuubeep on 2018/04/22 13:06
This is a great productivity app! I'm a grad student with ADD/ADHD, so my phone is both a godsend-of-information and a time-wasting-curse. What I love about this app is that it sends me a notification to setup my to do list everyday, and it syncs with my calendar so my calendar schedule populates as a task to accomplish. The issues I've had with other productivity apps is that I'll write things down and forget that I wrote them. This app works around that issue for me by displaying a notification bubble with the number of tasks I have left to complete. As you complete a task and check it off your to do list, the number goes down and until the list is complete. I hate seeing notifications, so this really helps me get my tasks complete. Also there is a "focus mode" that allows you to tap the task you want to focus on for a set period of time (5-50 minutes). When that feature is activated, the app sends a pop up message every time you pickup your phone telling you to put down your phone you should be working on your task. I mindlessly pickup my phone to scroll through social media apps or check my emails, and that reminder helps me refocus my mind on what I should be working on.
First thing on your checklist Buy this app.
by Something Clever with List on 2018/04/19 15:00
I have downloaded pretty much all the apps out there for checklists, productivity, paid ones mind you. This one is the best by a country mile. I never thought I would find something better than good old pen and pad because all the apps try to do too much. MinimaList is simple and intuitive but also packed with features. You decide how deep you go. The best feature for me and one that sets it apart is allowing me to create a reminder to repeat a task at the interval of my choosing, including custom, like every 4 days for example. GREAT for business and client follow up. Do yourself a favor and go pro up front. it’s worth the money, it’s actually a steal. ALSO the developers are very open and receptive to user insights and will have a dialogue with you about it. This app has already paid for itself exponentially since it’s helping me get things done which directly affect my bottom line. Pomodoro, GTD, whatever you productivity protocol this app works. I don’t typically write reviews but when something comes along that changes the way I do business and make money and costs less than a sandwich then I want to spread the word.
So simple!
by skoker89 on 2019/03/30 13:37
So when I say I’ve tried every task management system out there, I mean it. Currently I am using Asana (but now MinimaList) and although I love Asana for its many, many features, I’m not sure I am completing as many tasks as I’d like because I’m too busy trying to find what I’m looking for or resetting when it should remind me. With MinimaList - I’m already productive! It too simple not to be. I absolutely love the feature the notifications: it reminds you and you can snooze. Because guess what, life gets busy and sometimes you need to snooze for another 15 minutes. That feature blows every other task management system out of the water. I also love how minimalist (hence the name) the app looks! Personally, I believe the pro version is the best. I need multiple lists, and other devise access. This app, though so simple is so perfect! Thank you designers! As a note, one thing that could’ve helped when I first download was showing me where the tutorial screen is. I found it eventually but to all the new owners, there is a tutorial in your menu. Go find it, it makes finding all the wonderful features a lot easier.
Simple and intuitive
by THEDEAK7474 on 2018/02/28 17:48
I’m always on the hunt for the greatest productivity app. I’m a diagnosed ADHD college student studying drafting who also works full time and I also live on my own, so to do lists are significant in my life. Not only do I need a to do list, but I need a ridiculously simplified, easy, and attractive to do list. I need to be able to delete and edit with a couple finger motions, the UI needs to be attractive but not distracting, and I need it to work with Siri for the times I remember a task in my middle of driving. If you’re like me, this app is perfect. Also, something about shaking your phone to clear a list and then receiving an aesthetically pleasing free wallpaper feels more rewarding than any of those habit tracking rpg apps I’ve used. The only thing I’d love to have in the app would be the option for a subtask. I don’t think I’d care for having multiple levels of sub tasks (it would start to look like an outline), so just one would be fine. Being able to organize my list based on class or type would add to the clean feeling of my list rather than titling something “Math class - do your homework”
Life-changing and uplifting!

I love this app. After reading the reviews, especially from those that have poor memory and/or ADHD (like me), I decided why the heck not - pay for lifetime. Totally worth it. I used it daily, multiple times a day. Like the name fantastically implies, it’s a minimalist... list. It’s very basic in its function, with a straight-forward short tutorial at the beginning (you can revisit it if you don’t remember), and can be used as a widget, too. Not only have I gotten more things done, but even when I lose my memory, I can find great comfort in seeing that what I thought out was written already, conveniently on my smartphone widget. You can see what tasks you’ve done, how frequently, and move around notes as you want prioritized. If you have trouble getting your thoughts organized, get this now!!! This is as basic as it gets, without all the eye-rolling and frustration from what other apps promise as “simple to use”. This is it! And yes, it is 100% worth paying for lifetime.
Almost perfect for me!
by happysimplemodern on 2018/12/01 21:44
This is the only task mgmt/to do list app amongst a multitude that has ever actually worked for me. It’s simple & effective. I’m not even sure I use the pro features I paid extra for, but it’s been so helpful to me that I don’t care. My biggest frustration/complaint is that I don’t use the pomodoro feature & REALLY wish the double-tap to edit/single-tap to focus gestures were switched around, or there was the option to change that in settings. Accidentally tapping an item & having to back out of focus mode is an annoyance that interrupts my productivity flow. Swiping right to go between lists is also touchy & often results in nearly deleting tasks. The ability to move tasks from one list to another would be VERY welcome as well. (Also: Does clearing completed tasks remove them from the stats as well? I’m afraid to try it & find out! 😬) Meanwhile, keep up the great work: The developers clearly care about the app & make continuous improvements, & I always appreciate that! ❤️
Helps me get my work done and stay focused
by minsokim on 2019/02/10 19:01
I have a short attention span and I constantly forget what I meant to do. I have tried a few different task-organizing apps and sticky-note type apps, but found all of them inadequate except for this one. This MinimaList app is amazing. I’m using the free version which has been pretty good so far. It is simple, easy to use, and intuitive. I like how I can easily rearrange my task list in the order I want (believe it or not, this is not an option for some other apps). I LOVE the Pomodoro function - if you click on a task, the Pomodoro timer sets 25min during which the phone encourages you to stop touching the phone and to focus on your task. You can adjust the focus-time, and choose background sound to forest/rain/etc. This function is amazing! My productivity has markedly increased thanks to this app. I would give this app 10 stars out of 5 if I could.
Such a great tool!
by MaggieYWang on 2018/10/11 03:36
I’ve been searching for something like this for a while and tried many apps without being entirely happy about. And finally I found this - simple, easy to use, shows everything (including the specific due date even it’s 2-3 days from today. Other apps would just label them “someday” without showing the date) And it’s also genius to integrate the Pomo thing to this app and you can customize focusing time too! Sooo good for students!! THE ONLY ONE bug/complain I have is I order tasks by their due date, but sometimes the further dues get in front of the more urgent ones... and it seems the default time zone has a problem too. Not sure which time zone it currently uses, definitely NOT US eastern time... hope it can fix it quickly and let everyone choose their own appropriate time zone. Thanks!
Frustrating Gestures
by goodbyelizajane on 2018/12/24 14:03
I really wanted to love this app. The simple aesthetic and basic functionality is really appealing, and the “focus” function which allows you to use this as a simple time tracker is also very helpful. But after the 50th time deleting or ticking off tasks by accident while trying to do something else (usually pinching to get back to the list of lists), I give up. It’s too much work to keep putting in recurring tasks over and over again. It’s also not very clear when recurring tasks disappear if you don’t get to them in time. After a period of time that doesn’t seem customizable, they vanish for the current cycle and reappear for the next. The main issue is the gestures, though. Either my iPad just isn’t intuitive enough to tell the difference between different gestures, or I’m not skilled enough at it. Either way, the gesture confusion ruins this app for me. On to the next to-do app. Hoping to find the Holy Grail one day.
A Simple Job Well Done
by goodtutor on 2019/03/28 02:20
I purchased this app (Pro version, at half price) because the admirably designed Clear has disappeared and the high-powered multi-featured OmniFocus is unwieldy for simple list-keeping. The interface was mildly confusing at first, but as soon as I understood it, the app became an indispensable tool. I’ve suppressed features I don’t like or don’t use (like the task timers and the accompanying nudges to get focused) and taken advantage of features that do serve my purposes (in particular, the creation of Siri shortcuts for voice access). This app has been well thought out. I’m using it. I hope it doesn’t disappear the way Clear did. One limitation: The app syncs with my iPad, but it has no presence in MacOS. I can’t get to my lists from my computers. Is that expansion being considered?
Aesthetic & Easy to use
by xlyxiex on 2018/08/06 19:01
This app is everything a to-do list can ask to be: simple, effective, and aesthetically pleasing. It is perfect for quickly jotting down tasks as you think of them. The sleek font and design of the interface gives it a very productive and organized tone. But most of all, unless most productivity apps, MinimaList eliminates the hassle of swiping between different functions, selecting a different color tab for each task, being taken to a new page to put in deadlines every time you create a task etc. etc. Productivity apps stans, you know what I’m talking about. MinimaList is a great success, and would really really love if you could come out with a planner/calendar app of the same sleek fashion. Perhaps somewhat similar to Moleskine’s timepage?
Some suggestions for improvement
by Thomicool64 on 2019/03/24 06:22
I love how it looks. I love how I can drag down to add, swipe to cross out and shake to delete. But it’s the pinching function that I’m not too happy with. For too many times my pinching is registered as a swipe/drag, and then either a new entry is created, or I need to go down and un-swipe the item that accidentally got crossed out. It has become a little frustrating. I would really like to see a button that I can press to switch between list. If that option does not look simplistic enough, then perhaps double tapping home button to switch between lists (I don’t know if that’s a viable option since I do not develop apps). Other than the pinching issue, a great app to have!
I’m really liking it so far
by Gatorslover on 2018/04/29 19:35
BLUF: It’s simplistic design is what draws me back again & again. So easy to use & it’s clear from distractions from the get go. I might give it 5 stars if I decide to pay for it & and it’s actually worth the money. RANT WARNING: Don’t u hate it when u read reviews that brings u thru an entire life story? Example: I downloaded this app a while ago to try it out. Never used it, put it in a folder & forgot it was there, had a few life-changing experiences (blah, blah, blah), had to delete some pics & apps due to iPhone having low memory (blah, blah, blah) found it in the folder next to another pic my neighbor’s ugly yappy lap dog, decided to give it a shot and (5 paragraphs later) I’m really liking it so far. If you’re one of these kind of reviewers, Please use the Bottom Line Up Front (BLUF) method. Thank You.
Best list app out there
by bombsywombsy on 2018/11/15 17:39
I have been using MinimaList for about a year now, and I’m pretty happy with it. It's easy to read and keep track of anything you need to. I love that you can reorder the tasks, customize the colors and more, move items to different lists, etc. There is a lot of efficiency in this app and it has so much to offer. I don't use the timers, but if you have assignments or want to get a task done within a certain amount of time this app works great for that. I think the subscription for MinimaList is beyond worth it. Some things I would like to maybe see in future updates would be that you're able to type the date or time with the task or item and it would register the time instead of clicking on the designated button to input the date/time. I also wish that switching over to a new list by zooming out was easier to do. I have to try a few times every time. But I think I'll just try to get used to scrolling the edge to go to the other lists. I would very much recommend this app and I appreciate the creators for such a job well done.
Amazing. Best to-do/reminder app so far
by Hailee D. on 2018/06/29 04:23
This product is absolutely amazing. I was a bit hesitant to get it, since I noticed the premium option. I tend to never get apps with premium plans offered because usually the free-to-use versions are terrible, unusable and boring. But I don’t regret getting MinimaList at all. It’s so easy to use and even if you are not paying for the premium features, it’s still so useful and great. I love minimalism and I’ve been looking for ways to keep myself organized and away from stress. The Apple reminder app is ugly and bulky for me so I never really used reminders/lists... until MinimaList. The icon easily fits with any theme you have with your phone, you get the full widget for Siri, and it’s so simple to use. You pull down, write the task and maybe include a date, and you’re set to go. My only complaint as of now is to fix the widget bug. You can’t scroll down so if you have quite a few tasks, you can only see the top two or so. Other than that, thank the staff of MinimaList soo much for putting this together! It’s absolutely saved my schoolwork.♡

I am the kind of person that tends to over complicate anything, especially when I have to get things done. When I use a regular planner I look at my list of things I need to do & I immediately begin to feel overwhelmed & even anxious. With that in mind, after using this app, I can definitely say that although all my tasks are listed, the design of it personally makes it very simple to complete. I don’t find myself becoming anxious but rather just motivated to strike through all the the tasks I’m done with in the app. This is also extremely helpful for me because I’m a student & I can become forgetful of my assignments. I definitely recommend this app for anyone!!
almost perfect!
by saaschoe on 2018/02/01 12:55
I love the simplicity of this app! it makes making lists and tasks easy & fun! The only thing that I could do without is how whenever you click on a list item, the concentration timer pops up, which gets annoying and frustrating considering I don’t even use it. I get that other people use it and find it helpful, which is fine I totally get it! I just wish that this feature could be accessed in a different way so that when I accidentally touch a list item (which happens often, especially because intuitively, this is how I would edit/change the list item), I don’t have to worry about the timer popping up. But other than this it’s a great app!
Best list app
by Ally R W on 2018/05/15 20:52
I honestly hated that I paid money for this app at first. You can use its basic features at not cost but of course I wanted to customize! I was pretty bummed I had to pay to upgrade so I deleted the app for a while. I’m an organizational freak and after trying several different apps (including clear, do list, stripes and many other popular apps) I always come back to this one so I finally decided to just get the upgrade. I LOVE IT. It’s easy to use, it’s helpful & the customization is so detailed you can even change the app icon! Maybe I’m a total dork for being excited about this but I cannot rave enough. My OCD is so so thankful I found this.
Perfect if you over think!
by ebur1n on 2018/08/07 08:45
I downloaded the app and after reading multiple reviews suggesting to just purchase the lifetime deal, I did. All I can say is that it’s was the right decision. If you over think a lot like I do, this app is perfect for you. I usually write extravagantly long reminders but with MinimaList I find myself writing shorter but more efficient lists. A bonus is all the neat little features the app holds. Even without membership you can access a pomodoro timer with built in sounds. With the membership I enjoy how you can change the app icon and the theme of your lists. It’s the little things that put the app above others!
Incredible Tool for Productivity
by Txvis on 2018/10/01 04:35
I downloaded this app with the intention of replacing the stock Reminders app on my iPhone with something more effective. To my surprise, I’ve found an alternative that not only functions as a minimalistic to-do list, but one that also lets you stop what you’re doing on your phone and focus on the task at hand - while also providing its own background sounds that helps you concentrate and get your work over with. I can tell that a lot of thought was put into the design of this app and it was made with good intent and is probably the only Reminders app a minimalist should keep on their phone. 10/10!
Simple and easy to use to do list app
by atheenie on 2019/02/21 02:56
It just contains all the things I want... The app is no nonsense. All the features are explained right in the app so you can hit the ground running. So often I find these productivity apps are inundated with pointless features that actually reduce my productivity. There are NO unintuitive features that I have to look up, NO logins, and also NO tree lists(I’m sure that’s not the proper term...I guess my way of saying multiple separate lists). It’s just a to do list app and it’s beautiful. Everything is really quick. I can add, cross off, or delete unwanted items really fast. I also think this app was designed with the idea that this is supposed to be a PHONE app. The app has a shake to remove crossed out items feature that’s very nice. The biggest plus for me is the fact that the app has an iPhone widget. I can cross off, add, or just refer back to items on my to do list without actually going IN to my phone. It saves me just a little bit of time, every time. And that adds up.
simple. thats it :)
by Avery 👌🏻 on 2019/01/08 00:42
I have the free version and it’s really nice. The setup is extremely simple and aesthetic. You can easily delete a task, complete a task, and create a new one. The completed tasks will still stay on the board, which is something I like for consistent things such as working out everyday. However, you can permanently delete a task as well. All in all if your looking for a simple grocery list, habit tracker, or anything else involving a list, (and you want it to be free and easy) then this is the app for you! Plus, if you don’t like the simplicity, you can always upgrade the app to add filters and such to add more pizzaz. Great app! ~ ⓧⓞⓧⓞ
As fulfilling as pen and paper.
by Larajenkinsphoto on 2018/08/12 14:54
I am somebody who becomes much better motivated if I have a list of things to help me keep organized. I am also someone who doesn’t like using the Notes feature in her iPhone for whatever reason. I love a good old pen and paper to make my lists. Because of this there have been countless target trips where I forget my list, post it gets lost, etc. What I love about this app is that I get the same for fulfillment of crossing off my items that I do on pen and paper. I become motivated to cross them off and it feels great to look back through my day and see how much I have got done. I highly recommend this app!
I love it’s simplicity
by Bleeber on 2019/02/08 03:47
Most managers keep adding on until you start spending time entering your task. I have truly owned every high end or low end planner. They require more time to operate the app than to use it. I’m only new to this but it has ease of a paper list but with reminders. I just dropped a formerly simple task manager with 8 month subscription left to use this. The other started simple but now wants to do everything with add on assistants you can buy. No wonder it fell into dis use. This is the simplest most straightforward task manager I’ve found so far. Let’s see how it goes but so far it’s good and simple.
Real Nice!
by leopardtia97 on 2018/04/13 15:47
It’s so far a very good app! Just downloaded it recently and I’m already using it constantly! The only issues I have is the timer can be invasive (I understand if someone wants to use it, but I don’t, and I keep clicking once instead of twice on accident and and have to keep exiting out of it. Not a deal breaker, but annoying. Maybe have that function optional?) and I can’t reorder anything on my lists. I press down and drag, but it just moves the screen up and down like I’m adding a new item to my list or looking at what I’ve done today, respectfully. That can be a little annoying. But overall a good app - the best one I’ve seen so far for to-do lists!
Feel like a minimalist without being one
by wolfpup98 on 2018/10/16 14:17
This app is amazing. I’ve used it off & on for the last couple years and when I do use it, I feel so much better about everything. It gives me a way to have a simplified todo list without all the bells and whistles that are often distracting in other apps. And with this, there’s one thing in my life that is clean & organized. The interface is simple, it’s incredibly easy to use, and to upgrade is so cheap. Perfect for busy mothers who just need to jot down whatever comes to mind before somebody needs a diaper change. Definitely worth it!
Everything is great, except for one little detail.
by Ruamaranto on 2018/10/08 00:14
I love this app, the new update allows me to really focus my priorities. If anyone is like me and loves using list to plan, then this is the app for you. My only gripe is that setting a due date is really fiddly. For an app that is minimalistic, this feature is not. Instead of being able to set time for the min, I would rather have options to set task in the morning, afternoon and evening. Now you can do this through their natural language feature, which is nice in its own right, but I would like a feature that would just let me do it manually.
App never even asked for a review!
by Sanna Tova on 2017/11/17 15:17
This is the first app that never asks me constantly for a review, yet it one of the few apps that I appreciate enough to give not only an unsolicited review, but to give a five star rating and look for that section where I can donate a fee bucks to make sure they can keep it available! I didn’t see a donation option, but do see online that they offer a pro and business version. I like it so much that I want to know what those versions offer! I recommend it often. It is easy to use, I haven’t experienced and glitches ever. It is fun to use and helpful as heck!
Almost love everything about it
by cheellsssss on 2017/12/01 07:30
Pros- love love how simple it is to use. Love how clean and basic it is. So easy to create tasks, rearrange, edit, and delete. Cons- to view multiple lists (or swap lists) you bring index finger and thumb in together or out. This can also delete and/or cross off items. Really wish there was another way to view multiple lists- decided not to buy this app because every so often I would delete and/or cross off item when only trying to view another list. Also, the undo feature (when an item is deleted) never brought back said item. If changes are made for the above concerns I would love to know and use this app, love otherwise!
Every Student Should Own This App
by Vettywap on 2019/01/13 14:02
I absolutely love this app! Not only does it have an incredibly sleek design, its functionality is incredible. This doesn’t have any bloat or adware attached which is a lifesaver. I can’t stand cluttered apps. This app is quick and to the point and helps you organize individual lists, see when you completed certain tasks, alerts you when you need it and my favorite feature of all: it has a built in pomodoro timer! These developers knew exactly what users needed out of a productivity app! Well done! My only question to the developers, is there any way you can implement a feature to switch between lists instead of having to exit the app and then use 3D Touch to get to the multi list function? Don’t get me wrong, I love the 3D Touch option but I’d like to be able to access other the multi list in-app instead of only through 3D Touch. (Maybe swipe down from a corner?)
Very Efficient, Clean and Helpful for a Cluttered Mind
by Wolfie_320 on 2018/11/07 00:32
I had minimalist for a while before I went premium and very much enjoyed it. It was very helpful and nice having it in my widgets. Very good for homework or shopping lists or anything else you have to do. When I got premium it was just an updated experience with customizable features and functions. I very much enjoy this app as it is efficient and easy to work (pay close attention to the tutorial instructions or take them again in settings) and I love how it works in widgets/notifications center.
Great idea, hope to be using it soon
by X3Booyah on 2018/05/30 17:50
As always, in app purchases don't work with iCloud family ask to buy. The purchase pretty much gives you the app, and without it it's really a free trial without a time limit. When my dad comes home tomorrow we will turn off ask to buy for this purchase and I will update my review and let you know my real likes and dislikes compared to Wunderlist. So far it's pretty great but THE SCREENSHOTS ONLY REFLECT THE PAID VERSION so I'm kind of disappointed as the screenshots and descriptions in the app store are white lies. The cloud syncing, dark theme and when you think about it the entire app is gone without the purchase except making a list and calendar syncing.
Better than pen & paper - and I love paper products
by sarahbmd on 2019/01/08 16:42
I love a good notebook and pen. But this is just as simple as pen and paper which is why I love it. I like it’s capability if integrating with google calendar to add reminders and/or push notifications. Paid $3 for the lifetime membership upgrade and totally worth it. Seemed like a better idea than buying another $20+ planner I have great aspirations for only to leave 10/12 months blank by 2020. At least you know you always have your phone with you!! I was always forgetting my paper lists/planners. Thanks for the simplicity!!
Perfect for me!
by PacerGal_1972 on 2018/11/20 12:36
I have a hard time with procrastination and with not focusing on one thing until completion. This app keeps my list simple, and when I’m ready to work on one task, I tap on it to enter “focus mode”, and it really helps me. You can set a timer or start the timer to see how long it took you to do something instead. I loved it so much the first day that I upgraded to the pro version - for only $3 at 50% off. Now I can separate my lists the way I need and love that when I’m focused on one task, that’s the only one from my lists this app shows me.
Almost perfect
by Cody144535 on 2018/10/31 08:15
Love the simplicity of this app, very easy to just go in and plan your day or projects using the various lists options and the built in timer is amazing. The only thing I would ask for is a way to add a recurring list option, maybe a drag and drop list for tasks that you do a lot so you’re not having to type it in everyday you do that task, like studying a subject, working on a project, working out, etc... would just be a good quality of life update. Great work regardless, hands down my favorite todo app I’ve tried so far.
It's a list app. Not neurosurgery.
by Ukthk on 2018/08/04 18:55
I've been looking for a productivity app that will simply allow me to write things down that I need to do and then I will cross them off when I am done doing them. What I found frequently were apps with elaborate UIs that attempt to implement the latest advances in human behavioral sciences to guide entire projects that sync with a calendar and suggest connections between other events and try to learn your habits to intuitively guide the app's functions using advanced machine learning algorithms and also provide you with the latest emojis. I just need to write things down and cross them off. You can pay to have some other features like sharing and reminders and custom text and multiple lists and TouchID and voice input, and some of that might be useful depending on what your scenario is. I just need to write things down and cross them off. For that, I love this app and it is great.
Love this app, needs a little work tho.
by Valorie B. on 2018/02/17 17:22
I've been using minimalist for about a year now, and while it is by far my favorite to-do list app, some of the functions have been not functioning lately. For example, the calendar sync feature works for two days after you enable it, and then it stops importing the tasks from your calendar completely, and doesn't remove tasks from the calendar app once completed. Additionally, whenever I try to manually rearrange my line items, it refuses to accept my placement, and puts the task right back where it was. Very frustrating. Hopefully these bugs can be fixed soon; otherwise a fabulous app.
Shouldn't have bothered with paid version
by Katenora on 2017/11/11 20:24
I really liked the free version of this app on my iPad, and decided to go for the paid version in order to have multiple lists and syncing lists. Upon loading it on to my phone, I could see individual tasks that I'd added to the iPad, but none of the lists themselves were showing at all. Additionally, the new lists on the iPad would show up as blank until I opened them, which kept scaring me into thinking things had been deleted. I contacted the developer and heard back quickly the first time. After my responses, I was left hanging for over a week only to get a message that largely repeated his first message. I'd already switched list apps in the meantime.
Amazing application with great developer support
by iToNeG on 2018/06/01 19:51
Love that u can create multiple list by pinching your fingers together. Can easily add task with a reminder quick and easy with shortcuts above keyboard. Great theme support, font and homescreen icon customizations. As well as widget customization in which u can mark tasks done and add more. Only thing I am not that into is the focus option where u click on task it opens a large circle where u set a time interval and u can play in app relaxing music. Hopefully in a future update we can disable that and the tap on text would ignite edit mode. Live wallpaper with task list is a genius idea. There is an auto Time detector option u can shut on and off so the application will look up your date and time setup in task to add reminder but it doesn’t seam to remove the time from the task. This application is constantly updated and I am glad to be along for the ride.
Minimalist is amazing...
by ML is Fantastic on 2018/03/17 17:55
Just like the name says, this app is very simple unlike many other listing apps that often get confusing and hard to manage. The appearance of the app is presentable and cute as well as the way it is set up. You just write what you have to get done and cross the task off when you’re done. It’s like an electronic agenda and it’s much easier to take account of than a real planner. I love it and I definitely recommend it if you’re like me and can never remember to write stuff down but are always on your phone.
Really a neat little app!
by Lowertech on 2017/10/16 22:29
This app is terrific! I quickly purchased a 1 year subscription, wanting to support the developers of such a refreshingly clean and effective tool. I have tried various reminder apps, with varying degrees of annoyance and frustration. This one not only works without a hitch once you become familiar with the basics, but it is actually fun! I have the widget set up, have synched with my Google calendar, and have synched between my iPhone and iPad (although that synching seems a little iffy at times...) I am really delighted to have found MInimaList!
Wow.

In the most wholeheartedly way I can say this I was incredibly in awe of this app the first time I used it and went through the tutorial. I was speechless. The design is incredibly clean but intuitive, and the usability is top notch. It has been a long time since I remember where I wanted to buy pro instantly on an app, and I am happy to say that MinimaList has joined that club. Thank you to the development team, who have seriously created an incredible app, one that I was always searching for, but didn’t know how much I needed! Amazing!
Amazing App with one tiny gripe
by hsmfan43v3r!! on 2018/10/01 09:08
I have found my favorite app! This app is amazing and with the update I can customize it even more. This is the first app I actually paid to access more features because it’s so worth it. The ONLY problem is that with the addition of new sounds to use when in focus mode is that the rain sound loop is short that there’s a sling pause at the end of the loop that is SOOO DISTRACTING! For a focusing feature with the rains sounds in the back, it should not be so distracting. I hope they can fix that little problem so I can use my favorite sound ever (rain) to focus!
This app is life changing
by ProductivePhil on 2018/05/16 19:26
I can say from first hand experience that this app will make you significantly more productive. I used to be a procrastinator and wanted to do something about it so I tried literally every app on the AppStore before coming across this one. The difference is that every other app makes you pay for any realistic functionality whatsoever, the difference with this app is that it is still fully functional without the “premium version”. It is very simplistic and the focus mode is especially useful.
Amazing, but one issue
by JOOBYROOBERT on 2018/05/21 11:13
I’ve been looking for a productivity/Reminder app for quite some time now and I’ve been using a couple over the past year but this one blows them out of the park. Great app. The only thing is, I think a feature should be added where you can select a reminder to be on only weekends or only week days. Also, have a feature where you can set a nag me. Meaning the buzzer goes off at your choice of time, whether that be 1 minute, 2, or anything. Just like a little buzz to keep you from forgetting that reminder if it’s important.
Good, but
by Zoe_1630 on 2019/02/27 02:16
This app is very useful and I find it nice to have a list for organizational purposes. But what’s the point of having a list that you can never check off? On my Apple Watch, whenever I go to check off a completed task I exit the app but when I come back I find that my task is still there. This is very frustrating having to feel like I haven’t completed anything I wanted to for that day. On top of that, the item is still on the list in my phone. The whole reason I got the app was for on the go purposes when I’m too busy to check my phone but now I have to go to my phone to check something off. I hope you guys can find some way to fix this.
Help!

Just set up payment monthly plan, now I need to set a reminder for later on tonight but I can find no instructions at all on how to do it, or how to do anything else. It’s nice to have clean interface and simple basic functions per the description, but come on! When I open the app I expect to see some guidance, maybe a list of actions I can take - anything! In fact there is a brief list but absolutely no detail, definitions, no help at all. I am expected to be able to read the developer’s mind and just KNOW how the app works and how the user can make it work. I worked at IBM on systems of all kinds for 25 years so I am not exactly computer illiterate, but the last thing I would call this app is “user friendly”. If there is some key I need or some home screen I need to start with, maybe a developer can clue me in or steer me to where I need to go to actually use the features that the description says are available. Otherwise I will have to cancel with this bad taste in my mouth and keep looking for an app that will be friendlier to me. This one just doesn’t seem to want to interact with me at all.

I’ve tried a lot of apps to help organize my daily tasks and none have been as simple yet effective as this app. It’s totally worth purchasing the full version. I love how my lists can be right in view all the time but the minimalistic design keeps it pleasing to the eye.
Very Simple

by been-here-awhile on 2019/05/23 14:47
This app is really easy to use and it does exactly what the description tells you.

Great App!

Apple Watch
by 123456789JLC on 2019/05/21 00:26
I specifically downloaded this because it falsely states that it works on the watch, however, it doesn’t.

Great app, looking forward to seeing it develop!

by Ria Mossi on 2019/04/16 20:57
I just want a simple list app that allows me to have multiple lists of various things that I can easily all and remove things from. This seemed to only allow me to have one list free, when I tried to make a second it kept just asking me to upgrade to premium. I’m not paying for something that I can do for free with my notes app on my phone.

by 💆🏽‍♂️📣💭 on 2019/04/14 16:11
Great simple and clean with great features.
The GREATEST!!

Simple & Effective

Life-changing and uplifting!
by Lady_luck381 on 2018/06/08 00:46
I love this app.

Love the simplicity of this app, very easy to just go in and plan your day or projects using the various lists options and the built in timer is amazing. The only thing I would ask for is a way to add a recurring list option, maybe a drag and drop list for tasks that you do a lot so you’re not having to type it in everyday you do that task, like studying a subject, working on a project, working out, etc... would just be a good quality of life update. Great work regardless, hands down my favorite todo app I’ve tried so far.
It's a list app. Not neurosurgery.
