PRIVACY CONTROL IN ALL THE RIGHT PLACES Firefox gives you greater privacy protection while you’re on the web. By default, our Enhanced Tracking Protection blocks trackers and scripts such as social media trackers, cross-site cookie trackers, cryptominers and fingerprinters. In addition to Apple’s Intelligent Tracking Prevention (ITP), setting Firefox’s Enhanced Tracking Protection to strict blocks tracking content in all windows. Also, you can easily choose to search in Private Browsing Mode. And when you close Private Browsing Mode, your browsing history and any cookies are automatically erased from your device. OWN YOUR LIFE WHEREVER YOU INTERNET Add Firefox across your devices for secure, seamless browsing. Sync your devices to take your favorite bookmarks, saved logins and browsing history wherever you go. Send open tabs between mobile and desktop. And Firefox makes password management easy by remembering your passwords across devices. Take your internet life everywhere, knowing that your data is safe, never sold. And choose which search provider you want as your default, including Wikipedia, Twitter and Amazon (not all search providers support search suggestions). ORGANIZE YOUR TABS THE WAY YOU LIKE Create as many tabs as you like without losing track. Firefox displays your open tabs as thumbnails and numbered tabs, making it easy to find what you want quickly. Pro-tip: with a Firefox Account, you can send an open tab on one device to all your others with a single tap. DISCOVER MORE OF WHAT YOU LOVE Find and share great content across your devices. Please give me the option to make the fonts size bigger so I can read them easily. Some web pages font size are too small...
Too Much Tapping
by Molybdenum trioxide on 2020/10/27 11:19
An alternative to Chrome would be great, but Firefox doesn't have a quick menu to open/close tabs when scrolling to the top of a page like Chrome does. That is the most useful feature to open/close tabs on modern devices. Instead, I have to click on a specific icon in the bottom menu, find the tab I want to close, tap to close it, and then click on another tab to load it. Chrome accomplishes this in a single swipe gesture. Please add this feature to Firefox.
Reload button missing
by DJ Bieboo on 2020/10/27 07:19
I wrote a long thoughtful review about this new update, but it was deleted. Here’s the short version: My biggest gripe with this new version, aside from some pages not loading at all, is the relocation of the refresh button to a sub menu. The new tab button was fine where it was before and has replaced the refresh button which is used much more frequently. The new update has over complicated everything and made what was a simple ui that was preferable to Safari, much less desirable. Please return the refresh button or let us customize the bottom bar with our preferred icons.
mostly just crashes
by YogaGal650 on 2020/10/27 05:01
I really like Firefox and use it on my laptop, so I was excited to finally get an app for my iPad Air. Unfortunately, a lot of the time it simply crashes about two seconds after being opened. Sometimes I can get it to actually access a page, and I can use it for a while, but the majority of the time ... no bueno. Won’t even load a page before crashing out. I tried deleting and reinstalling with no change. Bummer ... guess I’ll have to wait until they work out some more bugs.
Great
by Solaricy on 2020/10/27 04:09
No.1 - I use this bacause this has AD blocker that stronger than Chrome and Edge No.2 - This browser use Match system video player
Annoying badges on bottom left of UI for updates and dark mode
by JDH4075 on 2020/10/25 04:15
The badge is unacceptable to force users to click on “what’s new” or to not leave the block images and dark mode versions on. I will rate 4 stars if they remove these annoying badges. I will rate 5 stars if they improve reader mode.
Latest update is FUBAR.
by SomeHumaniod on 2020/10/25 04:14
Version 29.0 now crashes on startup for me despite deleting the app and doing a fresh install.
UI is broken, can’t see tabs
by jwyne on 2020/10/25 02:51
I want to like it, but there’s been something broken regarding the tabs and address bar. I scroll and they disappear never to be seen again. I have to go into the iOS app switcher and choose firefox again if i want to see my tabs. Very strange
Good but...
by Gunner Beal on 2020/10/24 13:35
It would be cool if you guys could actually let’s us see the specific trackers that were blocked. That’s one thing that I like about DuckDuckGo, it instantly shows you what it blocked.
中文版本是在恶心谁呢?The Chinese special edition is so disgusting.
by jikai-yang-qwer on 2020/10/24 08:13
It is quite hard to understand that even if I have login the AppStore with an American account, I still only have access to the Chinese special advertising edition. The worst thing is that the Chinese edition use a different account system, so I cannot find any my old bookmarks and passwords on the iPad.
It has dark mode.
by Aaaahron on 2020/10/24 02:52
This browser having a way to have smart inverted web pages makes it better than chrome (my previous default), safari, and edge. Just this feature makes this my default browser on iOS.
Useless after iOS 14.1 update
by oohwee, my nickname on 2020/10/23 23:18
This app can't even stay two minutes without crashing WITH A SINGLE TAB OPEN. iOS 14.1 screwed up this app's performance... *Please* optimize this app!
good !!
by softfuzzyman on 2020/10/23 04:01
pretty good app and i like that it's called "mozilla " bc it makes me think of mozzarella sticks lol
Good but too crowded
by Realwight on 2020/10/23 00:05
The app has some good features but it feels too crowded with features upon menus. For example the bookmarks, you have bookmark menu, bookmark toolbar, unsorted bookmark, mobile bookmark.. all my bookmarks are in toolbar and I can’t delete any of the other files, why? It’s a bunch of little annoyances that make it too saturated.
They fixed the problems
by Myob33 on 2020/10/22 22:54
The initial recent “update” didn’t reload pages as it should, but it is fixed now. I still have problems with facebook display stability, but i can use the browser and like the read mode. Also finding that even though i use firefox, ads show up on other pages based on my searches. I use firefox to not be tracked.
Bad UI decision
by SV2698 on 2020/10/22 14:22
First of all, I’ve been using Firefox exclusively on all my devices for a while, and I’m pretty satisfied with it. That said, I absolutely hate the decision to replace the reload button with the new tab button in portrait orientation. I use the reload button far more, so hiding it behind a menu is very inconvenient. This wouldn’t be an issue if I could customize the bottom bar, but I haven’t found such an option. Please switch it back or give us the customization option.
Latest update is lame
by Perezca on 2020/10/22 13:28
The latest update has broken the reload button. It now opens a new tab instead of reloading the page. What the heck????
Update crashes Firefox if not on iOS 14

I like the refresh button better where it was.
by Zipper man140 on 2020/10/22 01:59
I used it way more than I realized and now that it's in a menu, it more annoying to use.
Close button is on the wrong side.
by Cheesekeeper on 2020/10/21 23:45
When I try to close an open tab, the ‘x’ is on the right side instead of the left. This is incorrect, because this isn’t Microsoft Windows. The close button is supposed to be on the left.
Removed features
by xXx66SICKxXx on 2020/10/21 22:23
Why did you remove the refresh button and replace it with a button to open a new window when that can be done already?
Setting up Firefox as default browser doesn’t work.
by NTJ-43 on 2020/10/21 17:29
I have iOS14 & Firefox version 29. I followed directions & got to the “Allow Firefox to access” page. There was no choice: Default Browser App to tap. The choices were: Camera, Siri & Search. Background App Refresh, & Cellular data. Camera was off & Background App & cellular data were green. I went into the Siri & Search & all options were on green. I still don’t have any idea to make Firefox my default browser app.
Refresh opens new tab
by v_isible on 2020/10/21 15:34
Update now causes Firefox to open a new tab every time you hit refresh on a page. Incredibly annoying & now user-friendly.
Slight downgrade
by MOM GET THE CAMRA on 2020/10/21 14:57
After a recent update, the refresh button has been replaced with a 'new tab' button that changed my experience of Firefox. Before, reloading and avoiding ads was easy as cake but, after the new tab button replaced the refresh; I have to tilt to landscape view and refresh. It is still bugged and 80% of times opens a new tab instead of refresh. Please fix it or add a setting to customize our pages.
Its ok
by 907goo on 2020/10/21 07:01
Somtimes i have to re-open the app somtimes and it can get really anoying
Do not update!
by LynxV3 on 2020/10/21 05:01
The latest update messed everything up. Refresh button is now a new tab button. I wouldn’t be using this if safari didn’t constantly close out on my tabs randomly on its own. Maybe I should just do everything on chrome.
New tab pathetic problems
by Mike M26 on 2020/10/21 03:57
More pathetic problems. Now, in addition to new tab problems, when I click "refresh", it just opens a blank new tab! Why would that happen??? "Refresh" should refresh the page! Old review: I can't tell you how many times I've tapped "open in new tab" and it opens up the web link to just a black page. And no matter how many times you reload, or what website you go to, it's just a blank page. This happens all the time and it's pathetic. Please fix this. Also, I went to someone's profile page on a website and the page just constantly keeps reloading itself. As if I'm pressing the "refresh" button after every time the page finishes loading. This is stupid.
Frustration
by Another MusicMan on 2020/10/21 02:43
Note, my previous review was deleted. I support Mozilla’s mission and until recently used only Firefox on all devices (2 laptops, iPhone, iPad, desktop) and Thunderbird. The recent rounds of updates have made it unusable - more complicated to use, crashes, buttons not responding. Others have provided detailed reviews... not a good choice if seeking to start using a new browser.
Many pictures showing as negatives
by 65Bowtie on 2020/10/21 02:23
Firefox is unable to show all pictures correctly recently. Many pictures show as negative images from film. While it is not all sites or images the problem is persistent rendering the app hardly useable. I have searched high and low how to remedy this o no avail. I have faithfully used Firefox across all platforms for many many years but unfortunately must now look for a different browser to use on my iPad Pro.
Garbage
by DrkRomeo on 2020/10/20 23:05
Garbage. I have to force close the app and reopen every 10 minutes, because it freezes. The reload button opens a new window. A joke!
Can’t see trackers blocked anymore?
by Bongdoobie on 2020/10/20 17:08
Can’t see the types of trackers blocked via the shield anymore. Please restore this.
Was a pretty good browser, but now severely broken!
by Wood turtle on 2020/10/20 13:02
Last week’s update broke two big things: (1) the refresh button goes to a new blank tab instead of refreshing, and (2) the tabs no longer keep their text and icon for more than a short while. For someone who keeps several (okay, lots) tabs open all the time and refreshes to see new news, this is a big problem. Not sure how long I should wait for a fix before trying a different browser.
Refresh button doesn’t refresh instead it opens a new tab
by zedge101 on 2020/10/20 01:21
Latest update as of oct. 19 2020. When the refresh button is clicked and new tab opens instead of the page refreshing.

by qurlyjoe on 2020/10/19 15:49
After installing the latest update (29.0) the refresh window or refresh tab button in the button bar doesn’t work. Instead of refreshing the window it opens a new window with all the icons of my favorites. I have iPadOS 14.1 installed.

Buggy
by oliilo999 on 2020/10/18 23:42
I really wanted to love this app since I use it on other platforms. But this one on iOS is really buggy and slow. The “find in page” feature suddenly disappeared from the menu! Also when I hit the refresh button, it just opens a new tab! How hard is it to test your app on a platform with a limited number of devices? This is not Android!!

Reload page/ Refresh button
by Hates Ads Guy on 2020/10/18 12:55
Why has the refresh button been moved into the 3 dot menu?? I don’t understand the need for this change, that literally only adds more steps to the process.
I would give it 5 stars but
by PhouthonOurn on 2020/10/17 22:52
Only if there’s away to show tab bar all the time. This is frustrating to use. Definitely not usable.
Pocket
by Nogsurhdgv on 2020/10/17 13:42
What’s up with this pocket crap? Articles from The Atlantic? Slate? GQ? I want a web browser, not a progressive insanity sampler pack. Remove this trash or at least give us a chance to change what’s displayed on it.
Frustrating
by Fivergrr on 2020/10/17 12:03
All want is a blank screen when I open up the app. But it comes with bs that I never asked for like “pocket” and homepage sites. There is no easy way to find out how to delete all this messy stuff. It’s very frustrating when an app developer thinks they know what you want.

Where’s the Refresh Page icon at bottom of window?
by Gator5000e on 2020/10/16 17:30
Up till just recently the FF browser had a refresh icon in the bar at the bottom the app. All of a sudden it’s gone and I have a + icon in its place. How do I get the refresh icon back? That is the main reason I use FF over Safari so I don’t have to go to the top of the window to refresh the page. If it’s gone for good, I’m out.

by Rick6981 on 2020/10/15 03:26

Overall Great, but not the fastest!
by Mahmouddawood17 on 2020/10/15 03:07
We want to see Firefox the fastest browser and the most reliable browser in the world. I was using other browsers but they are not so good and have so many issues and Firefox was good in that part. The only thing is that Firefox is not fast enough and that’s the problem.

It seriously takes 3 taps to get to bookmarks?
by Real Jake McCoy on 2020/10/10 20:10
It seriously takes 3 taps to get to bookmarks? If there is a shortcut, then it is too hard to figure out. I cannot figure out a faster way. I stopped using this app 2 years ago for the same reason. Safari takes one take to get to bookmarks.

Great app, broken integrations
by Holysoles on 2020/10/09 16:03
Love using the app except for two main issues. Autofill doesn’t work like it does in Safari (no prompts) and the password manager doesnt try to autofill, when you open it you have to search for the website you’re on.
Homescreen widgets still MIA
by iuwpyq78 on 2020/10/09 06:48
Where is version 29? ios 14 was released weeks ago. Why does your website even have how to guides to get the home screen widget when they're not available yet? I spent so long trying to figure out what was wrong with my setting because i couldnt find the firefox widget.
Poor little relative of the desktop browser
by Amorphosa on 2020/10/09 02:18
1. Cannot view in the desktop mode. Many websites limit functionality in the mobile mode, e.g. Yahoo. 2. Cannot edit anything about the top sites - order, labels, icons 3. Very few changeable parameters in the settings. What you see is what you get, and no more. Today even the third tier browsers do much more.

Great app.
by Steel-panther on 2020/10/06 16:54
Works great and is fast. Just wish I didn’t have to request the desktop site every time, and it would actually force the website to give me the desktop site. Browsing is quickly becoming impossible being forced into mobile site in which I can’t see the content.
Too bad it can’t block auto play videos.

[updated oct 20] Almost perfect browser (feedback)
by زِيــاَدْ on 2020/10/02 00:58
Features needed: 1. Search/address bar shows possible website (like safari) 2. Ability to see the synced tabs in the order they are open in other devices and close them from one device (like Safari) 3. Ad block 4. When a link takes you to a different tab, then you click the back button to go to the previous page, if there was no more previous page, it takes you to the previous tab where the link was opened from (like safari) 5. Add history in the library homepage 6. Add a faster way of accessing the library in the bottom bar 7. Add faster way of editing the bookmarked page (like pc firefox) 8. Show pinned sites clicked on search bar (like pc firefox) Bugs: Have not tested/encountered them because I don’t use it as my default browser

Bookmarks access is tedious and not user friendly
by One of millions... on 2020/09/29 18:04
Accessing Bookmarks is unnecessarily difficult. You can’t choose which Bookmarks folder to put bookmarked websites in as you’re bookmarking a website. When I go into the Bookmarks section to move a bookmarked website to a specific folder, there is no obvious way to do it, and in fact I haven’t been able to find an option to do that at all. I am a relatively techy person, but the user interface is just not friendly at all. I love the idea behind all of the privacy, and it was nice being able to have Firefox on both my 11 Pro and my S10, but I’m going to have to stick to Safari and Samsung Internet for now. Really trying to cut as much Google use out of my life as possible. Hopefully they make improvements to the UI for the mobile Firefox app soon!
Privacy Advocates?
by DabbleinApple on 2020/09/29 04:01
During your daily use of your device, you deal with a wide variety of apps, all wanting unique and complex passwords. So you have to get a password manager and copy and paste the password so you don’t make mistakes. If it’s a shopping app, you might very well paste your credit card number. Whatever you last copied onto the device clipboard stays on the clipboard until you replace it with something else. The Firefox app, while claiming to protect our privacy, automatically reads your device clipboard upon opening without your permission. There is no possible excuse that can be given for this and it is a major violation of trust. The fact that iOS 14 now tells the user of these actions has been a major topic of discussion ever since the first Beta version came out, so they have had all kinds of time to police themselves. Until they admit the problem and fix it, copy any harmless word onto the clipboard so that you don’t pass on any sensitive information.

Crashes constantly
by JuggoPop on 2020/09/26 19:55
It only happens when I open the app. It will open, freeze, turn black and crash. If it doesn’t do that, then I can use it as expected. Happens about 50% of the time. Even after a phone reboot it “may” still happen. Very frustrating. 5 star app otherwise. Been using Firefox on all my devices and love everything about it ...when it opens properly.

Randomly reloads and freezes
by Zevox90 on 2020/09/23 23:06
I will be looking up an article or something and then the page will suddenly start rapidly reloading itself over and over again, until it just freezes and sits there until I restart the app. Extremely frustrating and seems to force me to close any tabs it decides to do this to, even though it shouldn't have to reload even once since the pages were all fully loaded at that point, it just broke and tried to reload anyway and kept reloading then froze. Whenever it happens it makes the app near unusable. Can extremely be infuriating!
Tried on iPhone 5
by 20932120123 on 2020/09/23 06:09
I really love Firefox on my Mac. Much better than Safari. However, I installed this new iPhone version and then found myself trying to like it, trying to hard. I found it installed ok and the interface was easy to understand. It was fast too. I deleted the application for the following reasons: 1. The homepage is full of JUNK! You can turn off some of it but not all. OMG, I just need a search bar, that’s it. No library or pocket stuff you think I need. Worst then safari! 2. I close the application and although my web page is supposed and is set to delete all history, when it’s reopened it’s still there. 3. No instant way to delete all history as in other browsers. 4. Not a simple interface-confusing. 5. Seems this is to much stuff and silly settings that don’t seem to work and Firefox Focus is to little. You missed!

22 Sept 2020 - no default browser option?
by Boo Safari on 2020/09/22 16:02
As of the 22nd of September, Firefox app still has no way of becoming my default browser in ios14 - yes, I know how it’s supposed to work, but the ‘change default browser’ option is not present in my settings app. Please update this as I still am being sent to safari for all my links in texts, emails et al.
Too Many Popups
by criticalcaliph on 2020/09/20 23:22
Even with the ‘block pop-up’ settings enabled I still get loads of popups. There are some popups that basically make you click on something and you cant exit them unless you delete the app and reinstall it. Even Safari doesn’t have this many pop ups.
What’s going on??
by lafera on 2020/09/20 22:03
Now, all of the sudden, I get all these frustrating ads on the right side of the search engine. It wasn’t like that before. So frustrating because I checked off all privacy options out there and after restarting the app, they appear again and again. Really?? Nobody got time for BS. DELETE
Ok browser, UI is not intuitive
by voice__of__reason on 2020/09/20 21:53
Please put search tabs somewhere else. When I click on a browser address bar it’s because I want to enter an address. Putting search tabs there is dumb.
Firefox for iOS is good, but

Firefox for iOS could be so much better. - Needs an ad blocker - Needs a widget (w/ a search box)
Decent browser, but lacks needed settings
by Coryryan269 on 2020/09/20 03:12
Firefox really lacks in the settings apartments. It doesn’t seem to have anything to help with accessibility settings. There’s no way to increase the size of website text or content
Love Fire Fox... always have!
by Zacker001 on 2020/09/20 02:07
I don’t get the bad reviews of this app. I have no problems at all with using it. I have read a few bad reviews saying there’s too much “tapping” involved for things like faves... seriously? You’re so busy that everything you do has to be one tap? If you’re so busy, why are you spending so much time on the net and giving reviews? Lol... just saying, this app has served me well for a few years now and the pc version of Fire Fox has also been my one and only... it just works and it works well!

A good app but could use better information choices.
by scoble on 2019/11/06 02:53
I am really liking the privacy features but and want to make this my main browser but the god awful dark mode is implemented horribly. It not only changes the interface but inverts the website colors. So a website that is default dark becomes light. It completely defeats the purpose of dark mode. You either need to only change the system to dark and ignore the website colors or give us an option on a per site basis. Will not be using until that is fixed. Edit: so there are two settings for dark mode. There is the one in the settings which just changes the app but doesn't touch the websites. And one in the menu that affects the websites and app depending on the other setting. Would help to have this better explained. Otherwise the app is great.
Horrible User Experience
by PolarBearKev on 2020/06/07 14:36
I have used Firefox on and off now for a span of seven years, and I keep checking in to see if they fixed their terrible bookmark UX, and I am disappointed every time. Let me go into detail. For as long as I can remember, the most frustrating aspect of mobile Firefox is accessing bookmarks. Too many taps!! There should be a library icon on the navigation bar at the bottom, you tap ONCE and it shows you your bookmarks. More specifically the user should be able to customize what bookmarks they want to see right up front. For me, all my bookmarks live in the Bookmarks toolbar. I never put bookmarks into the Bookmarks menu - I mean, does anyone? Second point, right now when you tap the menu and tap “Your Library” it slides up this pane which displays your bookmarks, great - however, it’s super annoying to dismiss. If you don’t land your finger exactly on the right spot and swipe down, you end up swiping something else. There should be a “Done” element or some other way to dismiss that pane other than swiping. Even tapping on the gray swipe element to dismiss would be ok. I really love what Mozilla is doing with Firefox, with emphasis on security and privacy, but their UX/UI needs some serious attention. Even the desktop browser looks dated and has issues. These things wouldn’t bother your average user that much, but as a UX/UI designer myself - it grinds my gears.
Needs some clean up.
by ShawnLe on 2020/09/14 01:46
I been using Firefox and it’s relatives such as Sea Monkey and so forth since they were first made available to the Public and in many cases in alpha/beta back than and in time on most all platforms supported officially or not. During my career I became a huge privacy advocate. That said, I have to seriously question any company/organization who professes to be a privacy supporter and who puts services in their products from companies like Google and others. It has been many years now Google stated they do or will know you better than you do yourself (anyone that uses Google services willing or not). To better understand what is meant here read Google’s privacy policy, make note to where it says they record everything created on/through their services including email received in gmail and sent from there. Additionally, it defies logic why again any company claiming to support privacy would add support to their products to track your physical location and last I checked it is on by default (geo might not exist on mobile or it is hidden). I expect this from M$ since all their spying mechanisms are on by default (windows 10) and there are many, some cannot be turned off completely. Back in the beginning of Firefox I do not feel the development team would have ever added such things.
Many issues
by SirLagsalott on 2019/07/12 18:08
EDIT July 12: Another small update, no fix for any of the issues mentioned. EDIT July 8: Several months since its introduction and many times the issue has been reported, night mode is still unusable after a few minutes and causes the entire screen to become a garbled and unreadable mess. I appreciate the additions to the developer log that I didn’t even know existed on mobile but there might be more pressing issues. I’ve used this app for years and it seems to continue to get more buggy with each release. My first and main tab is Wikipedia, and so most of the bugs I find are experienced on that site. Whenever the app crashes (which happens very frequently, especially when switching from another app back to Firefox) it sends me to a completely random page from my browsing history on that tab, sometimes pages I visited last week. Night mode is great when it’s usable for a few minutes before causing the display to show a mess of distorted lines, partially or fully destroyed images, and various parts of the page being displayed on top of each other making it unreadable and impossible to tell where you are on the page. The night mode bug has existed for as long as I can remember night mode being a feature, while the flashback-on-crash issue seems to have only cropped up in the past two or three months.
Very nice but some problems
by 🎮Not Ur Avg Gamer🎮 on 2019/06/27 00:06
I initially wrote an extremely positive review on this app but that was awhile ago and now my opinions have changed. I use Firefox for literally every device I own and have had no problems but this app is the only one that seems to have a problem. Upon shutting out the app and reopening it, if I was doing something where progress doesn’t save (e.g, watching a video, typing something, and even switching from one app to back to Firefox) the app will shutdown before I am able to recover my progress. It will continue to do so until I reinstall the app or spam click incognito until the app can get its bearings together and attempt to recover the lost progress. I’ve had this problem for months now and it becomes annoying when I need to search something but am unable to do so because of this problem. I have started to use google and even safari much more than this as it provides the same as this app and doesn’t crash every time I open a new application. I really hope this can be fixed in some future update. I’ve read some reviews and a lot of people have complained about the same bug for awhile now which means that this bug is the least of your priorities?
WHY MOZILLA WHY?
by CB hates apple on 2020/02/26 04:08
I have been using Firefox as my sole browser since 2008. They have had a fantastic and secure browser for a long time and it has been a great relationship. Apple products on the other hand are complete garbage in the usability department. I bought a Mac mini in 2014 because my hard drive went out on my 5 year old gateway laptop, within 18 months the Mac mini was unusably slow. And now for my Ipad I got this little dandy last year and I have never owned another piece of technology so infuriating in my life, the one respite was the fact that I had Firefox on it, the one program I knew would never let me down. I was asked to do a major update a couple months ago, and I figured what’s the harm Firefox has never steered me wrong. When the update was complete, lo and behold I have lost all my loveable Firefox usability. They have updated me to what is little more than a safari skin. I am permanently unable to access any of my Firefox account information. I can’t change my password because all of my information will be lost and with it still working on my other devises (pc and galaxy) I cannot afford to risk losing that information. This one star review is not for Mozilla as a company but their decision to bow to apple and its BS.
What’s happened
by DMJE04 on 2020/09/10 14:51
I have used browser on cell and laptop for years and felt safe. Now when using app scan pop up saying infected. It will not allow you to use browser even after you cleaned, reloaded app, etc. So I have permanently deleted, moved to another Brave and TOR. I have iPhone which will be last iOS for me after using iOS since first phone came out. IOS is a scam itself you pay $1000 for product that company dictates what you can and can’t load. Sends data back even if you turn off, always bug issues, virus even after multiple up dates. They can not fix because they never have. To think the people who own and lead these tech companies own stock, promote, lobby that all citizens be forced to inject their vaccination. While their pharmaceutical company who makes has 100% blanket coverage from being sued, questioned or liable even if their vaccination kills 90% of the people he takes it. Why any sane person would even think about allowing them to inject God only knows white. They can’t fix the virus in their software I am certain they can not do better with preventing viruses in the human body.
I mean....
by PunnyDes on 2020/02/05 00:19
Firefox is a good browser depending on how you use it. In the newer updates it gets really frustrating to look up images. Instead of showing you the images like most browsers would, it shows you but when you click it, it takes you directly to the website instead of letting you look at the images. You would have to click the front to see it. To me this is frustrating, as an artist, I need to look up references to draw things, this leaves me with a huge disadvantage because I’m unable to directly see the image. Firefox also seems to switch from update to update at times, well for me at least. Say there was a new update for your device, or a new update for the app, Firefox would instantly go back to its old ways, which makes me hesitant to update my iPad because I want to have the freedom of looking at an image. I would appreciate if this problem was fixed in someway.... but I wouldn’t really suggest this browser if your soul purpose for it is to look at images.
Great app, lame new logo
by jdidn736 on 2019/10/28 21:48
The best personal phone internet browser because of the unique and accessible way Firefox places my most used sites right under the search bar, so I can get there with a single click—and be signed in already! For sites that I don’t use as often, or for random searches, I usually use chrome due to its better speed. However, nothing can beat Firefox’s single-click common websites—sometimes I can load my gmail even faster on Firefox than on the gmail app! At the same time—actually the reason I wrote this—I really hate the new logo. It’s cheesy and unappealing; the shape of the center circle and the unrecognizable fox make the app look a lot like a cheap chrome copycat, which it isn’t. For the specific applications I mentioned above, Firefox is clearly superior to chrome and I wish Firefox wouldn’t downgrade what was once an appealing logo to copy them.
Firefox

Not sure where some of these reviews are coming from with unsubstantiated claims of Mozilla not respecting privacy of users. If that was and is the case then people should provide at least names of articles rather than bash this app. Firefox is by far the fasted app I’ve used. The UI is something I had to get used to but loved once I gave it some time. I personally don’t like integrating my Firefox with my phone so I can’t speak to those offerings. Lots of great features to the app and the night mode for pages is a huge plus for me because I hate viewing white screens. Wish I could add extensions but I know that’s an iOS issue. For future updates I’d love to see the ability to customize the home page to hide the bookmarks bar as well as the frequently visited pages and land me on the Mozilla page similar to the desktop and then this app would be perfect!
Adore it
by sorry4ever on 2018/09/04 14:16
I love this app. I have not registered yet, but I might, because I love it so much. It works beautifully and has all the features that I need. If I registered, I would have even more features, but so far I really haven’t had the need to register. It’s easy to navigate and use. What more can I say? I adore it! Another app that I use and love is Safari. Yes, Safari. I love it because of the PDF feature. With Safari it’s easy to read the articles, or whatever, I’m trying to read, because my vision is not so good at my age. I love Chrome as well because I can sync it with my PC. However, it doesn’t do PDF and every time I need to save something I have to copy and paste the link to either Safari or Firefox. All three browsers are great. And I use them pretty much equally. But I just had to give a review on Firefox because I love it sooo much!!
Very buggy, after many releases still no fixes.
by ///Zain on 2018/01/31 12:20
As much as I love the team at Mozilla, their testing team just isn’t doing good. In terms of mobile devices they do not address issues even after many releases. Many times the entire app will be unresponsive to any gestures, making you force quit the application and restarting it. Sometimes you also have to close the tab even after a restart. Second, is their copy and paste... you must hold longer than apples normal settings to even copy a link. Normally you could click once on the address bar to select the entire thing but Mozilla thinks we want to edit the middle of our link when we click on it. Another is pop up light boxes are very buggy and become unresponsive. As you’re adding new features please also keep in mind to fix your bugs. I am no longer using this browser after 3 months of skeptical transition to a new browser but it seems I’ll be heading back to chrome for now. Sorry Team @ Mozilla.
Sync doesn't work after phone upgrade
by shadow-1980 on 2020/04/08 13:49
Great app, my main browser in iOS. Can't solve the sync issue though: I've switched from 6s to Xs using iCloud backup and restore, and now it fails to sync. It doesn't show other devices' tabs, and the phone is not showing on other devices as well. The last sync date (in settings) is the last day I used my previous phone. I tried to turn sync off and back on (leads to app crash sometimes), log off and back on to my Firefox account. Obviously, the phone restart. Nothing. I can't delete the app to reinstall because I will lose all my open tabs and history since the last successful sync (more than a month ago) - I tried it on the other device, and without sync on the app reinstallation leads to an empty history and no open tabs. I don't know what else to do beyond hoping for a fix in the new versions. Meanwhile, I really miss sync functionally on iPhone.
Good but too buggy
by N810dahood on 2019/07/15 08:28
I recently left Chrome because of Google’s recent policy changes and am enjoying Mozilla a lot more. But wow, I cannot seem to make a full change on mobile with this browser. This is utterly garbage and it seems this has been an ongoing issue with no fix in sight. Night Mode is awesome but it has a few bugs such as discoloring pictures. It doesn’t affect videos, only pictures. Which, makes sense on the surface because it’s changing the colors on the page, but something needs to be done to improve this. The more pressing issue is screwing with the layout of a page when you’re trying to read. Think news article or Wikipedia. It is impossible to get through the whole thing without quitting because as you scroll, everything gets jumbled up. You can’t see where things are to press them. Going back and coming back doesn’t help. It’s a mess and it needs to be fixed. This is unbelievably bad. Still, Mozilla is better than Google as a company and Firefox is a better experience than Safari, so I still use it but I need this to be better before I give it 5 stars it really deserves. One of my favorite features is being able to send tabs to my devices. You have no idea how great that is. Also, Mozilla, you guys should look into adding a password generator in the mobile and desktop version like Google did for Chrome. It’s really great and much needed.
Love it. But slow launch
by Hop on slop on 2019/01/13 04:24
Love it but takes 20 seconds to launch and sometimes even forget what I opened it to search for. Other times, I’ll end up typing in the search bar once it does load, realizing later that I replaced a previously open tab with the new session... and this is the main problem. As the app opens, cannot please show as soon as it BEGINS to launch, that their is already a webpage populated in the url, and/or a screenshot of the page it was on when last closed or exited from... or even just open on a new we page either when the app is relaunched after closed, as well as when it is just left running in the background. Otherwise, I’ll always just open safari because it already does all of the things above... quick and I’m sure to never replace a previous session.
Revised review: WONDERFUL!
by n_squared on 2019/11/10 16:16
Revised review: Thank you Firefox for listening to loyal users! Finally! Thank you for full bookmark editing and sync. Also, thank you for the ability to delete ALL history. Now fix the Reading List sync and add the ability to FULLY TURN OFF history and the app will be perfect! ————————- Old review: NEEDS FULL BOOKMARKS ORGANIZATION: What is the point of sync if I can’t FULLY organize my bookmarks? Why, in this day of using MANY types of devices do you insist on treating my bookmarks as separate things? They are all just bookmarks! Let me organize them exactly the same on all devices. NEEDS READING LIST SYNC: Why do reading lists not sync across devices? People would like to add an article on iPhone, then access reading list article on their Mac. What is the point of sync if nothing actually syncs? PRIVACY: Why can’t I set the browser to not save history? Why can’t I clear history easily more than one day back without diving into settings? Also why can’t I turn off the top sites? Having sites I visit very large on the screen when I open the app for all to see is not very private. I’m confused as to why a company that promotes their privacy and sync features does not do a very good job at implementing either.
the google issue + no customer support + Pay fee for tech snooping threw my email
by rymatta87 on 2019/02/26 20:54
I jjst I just tried to call Firefox for customer support and they actually do not have a phone number to call. Anytime I try to do any Google search or check my email with Google on Firefox browser it shrinks the tax and makes everything so large that you can actually see any of the things that are going on in your email anytime I go to use a Google search on Firefox it makes the text super large and the areas were you trying to type super small so you can actually see anything. I’ve opened the same links in safari not an issue so it’s definitely not just my desktop and I called the so-called Firefox Support number I then spoke with the person for 20 minutes getting them to remote into my account at which point they told me they could fix the issue but I have to pay a one time support fee then that lady started to trying to open up my personal emails while she was remolding into my computer!!

Can’t see time, WiFi strength, or battery status
by Raeun on 2019/11/18 21:10
Firefox, Your app is very useful. I use the incognito mode and bookmarks all the time. I also love the way you organize my tabs but your app does have something that may eventually make me turn to a different browser. unfortunately, it is very inconvenient to use because if ever I am curious about what time it is, or if I’m wondering if I’m connected to WiFi, I have to either exit your app or open the Notification Center just to figure it out. The reason why I have to do these other steps is because your app makes it so that the information on the top of the screen are blended in to your app. If you could please find a way to make the background stick out from the bottom of the screen then this would be a great improvement in overall convenience. You could maybe make the font of the information black so it would not blend in to your app’s background or you could just make the top part of the screen black so the font wouldn’t have to be changed at all. I really do enjoy using this app and I would not want to switch to any other app. Please make this improvement so that I may stay a loyal patron of your app. Thanks for your time and I look forward to any improvements you make in the future! Best Wishes, Ryan Garcia
Bookmarks system is unintuitive
by Hyde233 on 2019/09/06 03:23
I’ve recently switched over to Firefox because Chrome’s become an slow pile of trash. Firefox is better performance wise, but is especially lacking in its bookmark system (in terms of convenience). Trying to edit bookmarks is tedious as you have to press the edit button then tap the bookmark, whereas Chrome allows you to just simply tap and hold the bookmark to edit. When you add a bookmark, you can’t immediately edit its information or even specify what folder you want the bookmark to be in (You have to open up the bookmark menu, find the bookmark, then edit from there). Chrome allows much better convenience with a small popup that asks if you want to edit the bookmark’s information every time you add a new bookmark. Bookmark syncing is also extremely delayed. Some of my complaints also apply to the desktop version.
Reasonable browser, but missing features
by eric@durhamnc on 2019/08/21 14:48
Works reasonably well for browsing, but it can be slow in loading pages. There is no way to download a pdf to your phone. (Online firefox documentation mentions a download button which simply does not exist. Elsewhere it suggests the button is hidden in customization, but the is no Customize item in Firefox for IPhone.). Bookmarks are poorly integrated into the browser as creating a bookmark is completely separated from locating a bookmark. An item called Send to Device requires signing up for and signing into Firefox Sync, which seems to defeat the purpose of sending something to device. (I guess we are supposed to understand that as “to a device” instead of “to the device”.) In short: fine but slow for basic browsing or reading Facebook, but other features are poorly integrated or unimplemented.
Great ethics, but interface still lacking
by blauenfir on 2020/01/03 19:08
I use Firefox on desktop and it’s great, I appreciate what it does for privacy. But the mobile app is falling behind in terms of layout, it isn’t nearly as convenient or simple to navigate as the competitors. Easier access to the favorites list would bump this one up to that last evasive star—as it stands, it takes several confusing and slightly obscured links to access one’s favorites. It’s really annoying and makes the app harder to use efficiently. It would be great if the app let you use your favorites list as a default option for new tabs. So like if I open a new tab I immediately get my favorites list. Apart from that annoying feature though, great app!
WHAT EVEN FIREFOX
by ridiculous ginger on 2019/02/23 19:52
so I would normally rate FF with 5 stars, because I love FF, it’s wonderful and awesome and so easy, not 3, but you have gone down 2 stars because of this recent ridiculously STUPID update. And maybe, probably, most definitely, I’m making a bigger deal out of it. But come on Firefox. I shouldn’t have to click on the 3 line thing for the menu to view my history, bookmarks, and whatever else the other two options were. Why it would be removed from the opening screen where it was before I will never know. It’s not more convenient. Its inconvenient. And yeah it only takes like an extra second and why am I complaining about something so dumb but still. I spent a good minute looking for where the bookmarks and history things went. No quero Firefox. Sadly using Safari because I refuse to go back to google chrome
Privacy mode needs improvement.
by Fototico on 2020/03/20 06:16
I am huge into privacy. Which makes me concerned about using this app. I try to use this browser in privacy mode, but there are times that the privacy mode turns off without being obvious. There should be a setting that allows people to ONLY operate in privacy mode unless the user goes into settings to turn it off. I love the computer version of firefox. Since I installed it in my desktop and laptop years ago I have never looked back at any other browser, but this mobile version is not for me. I'll stick with Dolphin or Atomic. So far my favorite two browsers for my iphone and ipad, with Dolphin being on the lead. I really hope they change this app and improve it to resemble more the desktop version. As of right now is not good enough for me. The ONLY thing I somewhat like is the ability to sync bookmarks with my computers. But again, please don't separate bookmarks.
Love it, less taps to get to synced tabs would be nice
by La le on 2019/07/07 18:00
I use Firefox on my iPhone, iMac and windows 10 machines. Often I’m reading on the desktop and want to pick up where I left off on my iPhone. Tabs at synchronized which is nice but a few less taps/clicks to get to the synchronized tabs would be nice. The way safari does it is slick but not a safari fan. Or maybe a mirrored mode where currently open tabs between all devices stay in sync vs. individually restoring synced tabs. As I read and close tabs, those tabs are closed on the desktop, iPhone etc. That would be cool to help me with research projects where I often have many tabs open and knock them out one by one. Keep up the great work.
Some interface tweaks would really improve it

The biggest reason to use Firefox mobile for iOS is if you're using it on your desktop. Why? On iOS there's no ad blocking for third party browsers, and you can't set it as your default browser, so you'll still have to use Safari sometimes too. Firefox could make accessing your tabs across devices a lot more seamless (ok, like Safari's), but they instead hide the feature too many taps away (they do this on the desktop browser too). It's the best reason to use FF for iOS, and they hide it! Furthermore, since you can't set this as a default browser, and since you can't open links from all apps in Firefox (although some apps do, and they rock!), then Firefox should AT LEAST include a share add on for other apps that allows you to open the browser to that page, right? Instead, it's for sending a tab to a device or sending it to your reading list. Why? Do you not want us using your app? I fortunately have Opener, which I set to open links in FF, but it's still more tapping and waiting than a simple "Open in Firefox" tool would be. Seriously, Mozilla, these should be your biggest priorities for iOS users, who are otherwise trapped on a Safari.
Nice update. Improvements needed
by chemium3 on 2017/11/11 23:42
The v10 update is good. Tabs view icon is finally moved to the bottom bar; the weird margin to the right in reading mode is gone; UI overhaul is IMO good; extra love for the new icon. Now my go-to browser. Some problems: 1. Why don’t use the icons provided by the sites in quick dials? For example, now Gmail in quick dials shows a Google icon, Instagram a blue icon (the legacy one) and Tumblr a green one. 2. The new tab icon is not in the same position as the tabs view icon. You tap the tabs view switch, the tabs view opens, but if you want to open a new tab you’d have to move your finger to the right a little. Not a big thing but can be annoying sometimes.
A browser in decline
by Teelo888888 on 2019/10/29 02:43
Did you seriously make the top of the app white so that you can no longer see the clock/battery/cell signal while you’re using Firefox? I’ve been using Firefox since 2003 and there have been so many issues for the past few months on both the mobile version, iPad version (which is the most broken), and even the desktop version. I really hate to switch browsers since I’ve been using FF for nearly 20 years, but I just can’t deal with how unreliable and broken it is on almost every platform nowadays. (My theory is that this all began when FF started blocking all third party tracking cookies, things seemed to get worse immediately after that) But anyways, yeah, making the clock/battery/signal invisible on iPhone (with dark mode, if that matters) is just the latest in a series of disappoints from Mozilla.
Clean, but broken
by Stratiegery01 on 2020/04/27 06:26
Compared to running Firefox on MacOS, running on iOS is a very clean interface with most of the same functionality. The information you want to browse the web is front and center and the latest version runs smoothly. The one problem I have with it is big though, and that is the fact there is no way to organize your webpage bookmark once you’ve created one. All the bookmarks go into ‘recent’ folder with no ability to move it to another folder once it’s made. The ability to sync with other devices is fine, but I certainly don’t find it convenient/efficient to create a bookmark on my iPad, then have to organize them in batches once I’m near a desktop computer. I pray Mozilla fixes this functionality for the next version update.
Why is Firefox being sneaky after an update?? Please read Firefox Team!
by wants a hooker on 2020/02/28 12:26
To the developer's at Firefox IOS. The first thing I do when I install Firefox is to disable/switch off the send additional data tab within the Firefox IOS settings. Why is it that after a Firefox IOS update does the Send Additional Data tab get re-enabled. I could see if some or even one of my other settings gets set back to default, but the Send Additional Data switch is the only one. I expected more from Firefox and I am deeply disappointed in this type of behavior coming from your organization. This is dishonest behavior coming from an otherwise outstanding company. I've been using Firefox for PC and IOS since its inception, and strictly Firefox only. I switch all PC's in my house to Firefox so my family can enjoy your software. However when I start to see dishonest tactics like re-enabling Send Additional Data inside my IOS Firefox settings it really makes me question if your organization is really any better then Google and the mass surveillance they implement on everything they touch. Please, for users like myself who recognize when settings get changed and there is no reason for it but for your analytics, stop. Just Stop and remember why you formed the organization in the first place. Peace and Love, Loyal User
Slowwwwww
by Josielynn on 2018/03/11 14:52
After months of trying to make Firefox work on my iPhone I'm giving up and going back to safari. It's slow to open and when you leave and come back the page has to reload. The people who say this browser is fast are using a different workflow than me. I rarely stay in the browser for long stints, preferring to hop around between chat and browsing, and the time it takes to load after leaving, no matter how brief, is infuriating. On top of the slowness getting started, there are user experience obstacles to me being able to use the browser efficiently. There are 3 menu buttons and I never press the right one the first time. Every time I navigate to my book marks it goes to the highest level, and as I like to share my bookmarks in my toolbar across devices, that's 3 or 4 levels of navigation. I like to use private browsing, but the "open link from clipboard" link never stays in private browsing so I can't use that shortcut either. The share link is my most accessed button and on safari it's not buried in a menu, but in this app it is. I'll continue to use Firefox to add to or navigate to my bookmarks, but otherwise safari is still leaps and bounds better. I really wish this isn't true in the future.
I love it thank you

Update to auto-open links
by Bstep8 on 2019/03/27 18:49
I’ve been a Mozilla fan and supporter monetarily and with all of my personal and business equipment for over 15 years. Your products have always continued to improve and be my first choice. My biggest issue with the mobile app, is that it doesn’t automatically open links found in emails. It pulls up a screen that asks if I want to open the link with Safari (yuck) or download Chrome (double yuck)! So I think it would be really beneficial if the app can include that simple feature, to automatically open these links, and not ask about safari and chrome. Otherwise, I have to copy and paste links which isn’t the most feasible or efficient process.
Had to switch to Google Chrome
by Chazmania on 2019/11/19 03:11
Been a long time user of Firefox, but the current update is a mess and I’ve had to switch to Google Chrome for my iPad. Google thinks this version of Firefox is the old desktop and mobile versions of Firefox 20 and presents me with the Google interface from years and years ago. Firefox Sync no longer functions and I have lost all my bookmarks and logins & passwords on my iPad. I still have everything on my old laptop, but can’t transfer them. Facebook Stories are broke and will not play and the text entry for the pop up for private messages is out of the Facebook window and I can’t see what I’m typing. Have submitted my issues multiple times through Firefox feedback and in the Mozilla support forum with no response and no fix for Firefox. Essentially, this current update to Firefox after the release of iPadOS has rendered the program useless.
Love everything about this browser except...
by BaByGr00t on 2018/06/02 14:53
I equally use both Safari and Firefox, and am impressed at how Firefox “feels” like Safari as far as functionality. I personally appreciate apps that mimic iOS gestures, makes for a fluid experience. Most all of the gestures and function keys are similar, and that makes Firefox easy to use for me. Minus one annoyance I hope Mozilla will fix. When viewing multiple tabs, on Safari you close a tab with and ‘X’ in the upper left of the tab, and on Firefox it’s on the upper right. It’s aggravating when I am constantly reopening a webpage in Firefox because the ‘X’ is on the wrong side. It’s petty I know, but on a pretty flawless browser, it’s those little things that make it that much better.
Almost Perfect
by vulturish on 2019/11/30 09:07
Firefox is my favorite desktop browser, and i can forgive limitations to its iOS version due to apple’s restrictions (DNSCloak fixes the lack of content blockers for non-safari browsers FYI). I just have one thing that’s stopping me from switching to FF on mobile full time: Please add the ability to tap the bottom of the screen to bring up the menu, like safari has. I don’t like having to tap all the way at the top of the screen or having to scroll up in a particular way in order to get the bottom menu to pop up. I have small hands and phone screens are so big now that having to do this forces me to switch to two hands, which is inconvenient. Thank you.
Consistent UI bugs and slow.
by 0nXYZ on 2019/12/09 00:47
All of this applies to Firefox, both Chrome and Safari do not have these issues. Not only do I have to constantly refresh my tab just for a new page to load, when it does it is a crapshoot as to whether the html UI will respond such as drop down box values not showing up or commonly aren’t selectable. Want to order dominos or papajohns? Too bad! Firefox isn’t supported and your order either won’t go through at all or you wont even be able to get to your cart. Again, only on Firefox. It has been years and it is only getting worse. Also, Firefox likes to pretend they care about your privacy but then regularly want you to sign up for their online login service which ultimately destroys the original mission statement. Avoid indefinitely; only gets worse with time.
Sync is Awesome
by Morebits on 2018/10/26 15:35
Recently I started syncing using Firefox sync to sync bookmarks between multiple desktop computers and it works so well I decided to try Firefox on my iPhones using sync. The Sync function works great. Reader mode, and text resize work great too. My one new feature request is when you select a bookmark to view a page, Firefox does not remember where in your bookmark hierarchy that bookmark was, and Firefox does not return you to that bookmark when you tap the back arrow (instead Firefox returns you to the top of your bookmarks, this is aggravating especially for people with hundreds/thousands of nested bookmarks).
Love everything. One suggestion.
by SuperSpumoni on 2018/06/16 14:52
This is nearly perfect browsing app for me. I switched from dolphin browser to this. I was sad to give up their classic tab system but i love firefox tab system more. Love the simple swipe gestures for back forward and to close tabs too. It is my primary browser now!! One little suggestion: in new tab view setting, it'd be nice to be able to only show bookmarks, instead of rest of history and other tabs showing. I accidentally click those somtimes. Kind of like how chrome browser gives you the option to have clean bookmark icons only on new tab page.
Change isn’t always better
by azul_eyed_girl on 2020/09/16 20:56
My husband introduced me to Firefox a decade ago. The add-ons were really great for customizing my experience. The additional privacy was certainly a bonus. While I’m upset that Add-ons have been removed. Perhaps the most disappointing thing is removing my ability to print, which I need daily. He was so upset about all the changes he quit using it. I can’t understand why a browser would make such a stupid decision and make me use a third party app to print?!? It has always been there. It seems like there are not anymore competent people involved in the decision process at Mozilla anymore. It’s very sad. I hate to leave but if they made this decision error I can’t stick around to see what else they have overlooked. Thanks for the last decade of letting me have control over my experience. I hope I find a good replacement.
Long run
by scarlet spatula on 2019/10/13 04:28
I’ve been using Mozilla stuff since the mid-2000s, including the initial Firefox launch, on my Macs. That level of experience might make me biased, but I find Firefox a much more comfortable UX over the clunky alternatives. I’d prefer fewer updates and no click-thrus for update info, which can feel a tad dumbed down, but such is life. Overall, Mozilla has done a good job satisfying its core users and outlasted things like rebranded Opera and Explorer for a reason. If you’re an art person like me, it meshes well. I’m not a plant or paid, just my opinion on what works for me. I like alternatives, and if Firefox keeps providing it with quality I’ll keep using it.
This browser needs serious help. FIX YOUR ISSUES, PEOPLE.
by Quickening on 2020/02/08 11:40
I have no idea what happened. Firefox has been my go-to browser for YEARS, but now whenever I attempt to access pretty much ANYTHING on my tablet (an Apple iPad Pro, just fyi) it refuses to acknowledge my passwords or it tells me I need to “update to the latest version” to even access certain sites (like Flickr for example). Never mind that the damned thing is as updated as it’s going to get! It didn’t used to be this way, I preferred Firefox over pretty much any other browser. But it’s gotten beyond ridiculous at this point and seeing as the developers appear too incompetent to fix these issues as they’ve been ongoing for MONTHS now, I may have no choice but to download (shudder) Chrome instead. Or to transport aaalll of my saved sites and logins over to Safari. Thanks for the extra work, guys.
Great browser, company, and philosophy
by Ducktart on 2019/03/16 12:35
Firefox on iOS is a great browser. It's privacy-centric, which is an underrated feature in the Facebook age. It's the only third-party iOS browser I have found with a reader mode, which is the only thing that kept me with Safari. Pocket integration is fantastic. I love that Firefox is completely open source so I can see exactly how my information is handled and make privacy decisions accordingly. I look forward to Firefox Notes coming to iOS. It seems like there is finally going to be a good solution for syncing rich-text notes between my iPhones, Macs and Linux machines. Note: there are certain things beyond Mozilla's control that make Firefox seem slower than Safari. Apple does not allow Mozilla to use its Quantum engine. Further, Safari is granted system privileges so it stays in RAM longer, making Firefox seem slower this is not for lack of trying on Mozilla's part and is a limitation all third-party browsers face. Keep up the great work, Mozilla. Stay focused on your principles.
It’s a gr8 app to get away from safari, but...
by Infiltr8arts on 2018/09/24 17:19
Dear Mozilla Team. The three things that need fixing. 1. We need Folders for our Bookmarks, and the ability to rearrange the order of our bookmarks. 2. On my iPhone X, when I click the Address bar, it doesn’t have the pop up menu working correctly. For example, if I try to copy the web address it forces me to press once and then again I have to press and hold just to bring up the menu for copy, paste, paste and go, ect. It requires multiple clicks to do what’s usually is a one click operation. 3. It would be nice to have a favorites or bookmarks button on the main screen always, like all browsers usually have. It’s annoying to have to click a menu and then click favorites. Those R the 3 easy fixes I think could make this app a 5 Star app. It’s so close to perfect Mozilla Team. Other than those annoyances, it’s an awesome app and fast. It block most pops ups and offers private inter-netting when U click that option. It would also be nice to an option to have privacy on always. Rather than always having to click it.
Advertised features simply do not function...
by Version 3.31 on 2020/03/27 12:50
I created a Firefox account because of the ability to send tabs from one device to another. I created the account, signed in on both devices. Both my devices are on the same network (though I don’t think that should make a difference). The both my devices appear on the send options under “send to other device.” But when I send a tab - it simply doesn’t appear on the other device... This is very frustrating especially considering Mozilla doesn’t have any customer support. Just an online forum for other users to provide feedback. Mozilla’s instructions for this feature boast about how simple this feature is to use, and yet - it *simply* doesn’t work...
Annoying, feels old school in a not good way.
by assfghjklqwertyuytreeq on 2019/01/26 04:21
Why do you guys still have the accidental-text-select-impossible-to-unselect-get-outta-my-way text bug that safari introduced back in like ios 3? What's up with not being able to select where my book marks go? Just build a decent browser with the ability to permanently turn off history and I'd be happy. It's just that I never come away impressed, always just surprised that you guys are still so clueless and still building an annoying interface, albeit not as annoying as safari but light years behind Brave--well until they broke everything in December. I'm willing to suffer to not use chrome or safari, and mainly so I can use privacy badger, but you're not helping things. KISS?
What? No Copy & Paste
by bscoc on 2019/02/05 12:25
I’ve been a long fan of Firefox. It has been my habit to install it on every new device or workstation I use. In the past, it has just simply worked, and all the work they do to protect users and innovate interfaces has been greatly appreciated. However, Mozilla has started to sacrifice user experience for what they think are “best practices”. I think they are getting full of themselves as champions of virtue in an otherwise corrupt internet ecosystem. Case in point: why will they not allow cut/copy/paste in the iOS browser? It totally kills the functionality for someone like me who uses my phone for more than reading the news and cat videos. So, sadly, after all this time, Mozilla is loosing me and I’m back to Safari. Meh.

I will rate 5 stars if they improve reader mode.

by jikai-yang-qwer on 2020/10/24 08:13
It is quite hard to understand that even if I have login the AppStore with an American account, I still only have access to the Chinese special advertising edition.
Latest update is lame
by Perezca on 2020/10/22 13:28

by Cheesekeeper on 2020/10/21 23:45

Its ok

A joke!

Buggy
by oliilo999 on 2020/10/18 23:42
I really wanted to love this app since I use it on other platforms. But this one on iOS is really buggy and slow. The “find in page” feature suddenly disappeared from the menu! Also when I hit the refresh button, it just opens a new tab! How hard is it to test your app on a platform with a limited number of devices? This is not Android!!

by Nogsurhdgv on 2020/10/17 13:42
What’s up with this pocket crap?

Overall Great, but not the fastest!
by Mahmouddawood17 on 2020/10/15 03:07

by Real Jake McCoy on 2020/10/10 20:10

Poor little relative of the desktop browser
by Amorphosa on 2020/10/09 02:18
1. Cannot view in the desktop mode. Many websites limit functionality in the mobile mode, e.g. Yahoo. 2. Cannot edit anything about the top sites - order, labels, icons 3. Very few changeable parameters in the settings. What you see is what you get, and no more. Today even the third tier browsers do much more.

You missed!

Too Many Popups
by criticalcaliph on 2020/09/20 23:22

Some interface tweaks would really improve it
by Dani_EG on 2017/12/22 16:26
The biggest reason to use Firefox mobile for iOS is if you're using it on your desktop.

Long run

Meh.
