You tricked me! Bah
by MusicaAlways on 2019/12/05 10:51
This morning, Dec 4, my computer went straight to Firefox and open it as usual. And it opened this tune to this new private app, which gives the impression this is the NEW Firefox and you MUST “update”. BUT YOU DONT have to-it is still In the process of fixing bugs, and I’d rather check that out by googling - & meanwhile have the old regular Firefox with the option of going private. I am now ALSO BEING TRICKED into using it on my iPhone. I won’t -but I sure hope I can use the regular version on the phone and also switch back for my computer. I DONT LIKE-BEING TRICKED to use an app or version until I decide I want to. FIREFOX -CUT IT OUT. Fix your bugs and don’t mislead people.
What’s the point

It’s just a wrapper for safari that tosses ads on its homepage
Confidence in Fire Fox
by shabuneng on 2019/12/04 21:02
I’ve been using Fire Fox on Win 10 & Android for years. Since Android & MS Surface tablets no longer give me love, got beautiful G7 I tab with broadband. No doubt will be as good on iOS 13
Love the app but buggy
by disappointedinadblock on 2019/12/04 17:04
Unfortunately this great web browser has been saddled with more bugs lately, from a status bar that is unreadable to a tab switch screen that sometimes jumps around. I think this all came with the latest iOS update
Good browser but why no built-in adblock like other browers such as Brave and Edge????

Nice
by andrew-907 on 2019/12/04 03:40
I got this because safari doesn’t let me view local html files on mobile. So the Library feature in Firefox is awesome. What I’m not so happy about is that the css and JavaScript in those local html files has to be included in the file where on desktop Safari I can pull in assets from elsewhere on my SSD. Oh well. And needless to say Firefox rocks on web browsing. I’m disappointed about the chromium monopoly nowadays.

Burning Phone!
by Lan58 on 2019/12/03 22:57
It made my phone really really hot and I thought I was using an old android phone. The phone bogged down to the point it became unusable. I had to take it out of the case to cool it down which I’ve never done in 3 years. I started closing apps, I started thinking maybe my screen replacement became defective. But then I realized there was only 1 app running. Indeed! Firefox was the only active app! So, I copied the link that I was on, then closed Firefox, opened Safari and pasted-go the link. Issue resolved!; I browsed around the same site without any issues mentioned above. My guess is that Firefox was doing something very extensive in the background, such as blocking trackers, etc. Although, I had no issues with the app in the first few weeks of usage. Is it because I have a lot of open tabs? History? Cookies?
Yes.

Almost Perfect
by vulturish on 2019/11/30 09:07
Firefox is my favorite desktop browser, and i can forgive limitations to its iOS version due to apple’s restrictions (DNSCloak fixes the lack of content blockers for non-safari browsers FYI). I just have one thing that’s stopping me from switching to FF on mobile full time: Please add the ability to tap the bottom of the screen to bring up the menu, like safari has. I don’t like having to tap all the way at the top of the screen or having to scroll up in a particular way in order to get the bottom menu to pop up. I have small hands and phone screens are so big now that having to do this forces me to switch to two hands, which is inconvenient. Thank you.
Default now?
by Darwindog96 on 2019/11/30 06:48
Won’t take my password (despite being logged in on my other devices) on iPhone...and has reset my default from Safari so now I have to dig around to find out how to switch it back ... not cool Firefox

No Malware Fix!!!
by ChristopherMusic on 2019/11/28 15:00
Firefox desperately needs a fix to prevent malware pop up loops! Currently the only option is delete the entire app. The fix could be as simple as adding an out-of-app option (within iOS settings) to clear all website data (open tabs, history, data). This isn’t a Java/hacker problem, it’s a Firefox not giving users control outside of Firefox problem! Please just add data management (like Safari has) to iOS settings already!!

Best Mobile Browser Ever
by Sarat58 on 2019/11/27 04:12
I absolutely love this browser and It is my default browser on all of my devices and computers. Just one fix needed; in the dark mode, the keyboard is still light. It should be dark. Also, please change the browser icon to a white background with the fox picture in the middle.
Bugs!!!
by Random Nickname 27376467 on 2019/11/26 04:02
Have they tested it on Facebook? Sometimes pages simply don't show up. When I scroll in these situations, sometimes scraps of the page that should show appear near the top and bottom. Also, the app is unable to open app links. I have the NewYork Times app, and when I click on a New York Times link, the app should open, or at least it should be an option for me. It doesn't.

by benyamin7932 on 2019/11/25 12:02
why mozilla have not adds on?
Still needs work but better than safari.
by Jessesaint on 2019/11/24 20:48
For starters don't brag about security if you can't use stored iPhone passwords, not even stored desktop ff passwords work as they should... Issues with autofill logins. Peek and pop, literally the most important key security feature anyone should have for various reasons. Yet mozilla thinks that "copy address" is more important than a site preview. Mostly any image that works with peek becomes inverted and deletes the whole purpose. Top sites needs serious addressing, the favicons are horrendous. I much rather have letter than your blurry mess. We need the option to edit site names on the app or at least make the hyperlinks smaller. Dark mode is great, however like the desktop, it took years to patch the white flashes, hopefully not the case for the app. I wish the smart invert colors bug was addressed, just auto disable it for us, it's simple, don't be like youtube. This is definitely better than its been, hope to see more improvements in the coming year.
Notification Ads

Uses notifications to advertise about Firefox security products.
Has started sending marketing spam notifications
by G-Mo on 2019/11/24 14:01
Just got marketing spam as a notification from Firefox: “Stay ahead of hackers. Check for data breaches with Firefox Monitor”. Can’t find a way in settings to turn off marking spam notifications. I like the idea of using Firefox as a supposedly-privacy-centric cross-platform browser, but in practice I’ve ended up using Safari on Apple devices and Edge Dev on my Surface. Since Mozilla apparently thinks spamming me at 7:30 AM on a Sunday with a marketing notification is what I want my web browser to do, I’m deleting Firefox.
Not intuitive navigations

Great features; two concerns
by Samuelitooooo on 2019/11/22 19:02
I've used Firerox for a while now and besides the couple of issues I'm about to write about, I recommend it without hesitation. Three reasons for my recommendation: 1) As of version 70, it now comes with Enhanced Tracking Protection, putting it on par with browsers like Brave (which doesn't have satisfactory sync options). 2) Speaking of sync, the desktop counterpart has improved since Quantum first came out. This is now the desktop/mobile combo for me. 3) It has small features that don't seem to appear in other browsers, including not just dark mode (even on iOS 12) but also Night mode within web pages itself, changing white backgrounds to black and black text to white. It can also block images (with a super quick menu toggle) which make some pages load significantly faster on slow connections. Nice! A couple of problems I've experienced, however: 1) When I put in a new URL and load it, mostly through loading the URL from another app, it doesn’t appear on the URL bar until well along the process of loading the page. Sometimes the pages don’t load at all and then the browser gives up — understandable — but if this happens on Firefox, I lose the URL. So I can’t even refresh or find it in History. In most cases the URL does show up but the delay is annoying when I want to copy the URL. Please fix! 2) Sync does not keep your stuff in the cloud. When you're down to one device and you don't have Sync, you're on your own! (I use Chrome occasionally to back up my bookmarks for that reason.) 3) Although Firefox gives various ways and options to open web pages from other apps, I cannot make it the default browser nor select it from the app chooser when I open links from the Mail app, for example. I find this strange because Chrome and even the Google Assistant app are options and (since I don't have either) it even allows me to download with one tap. If Chrome can do it, why not Firefox? P.S. I'm a fan of the new logo. Thumbs up.
20.2 update makes me wanna faceplam fixes NOTHING

of you ppl f-ing serious???? you made an update previously that down-right destroyed the functionality of the browser. Doesn't load webpages, websitse asks to update browser or "recommends fire fox" cuz it doesn't know how garbage firefox became recently, google images desktop version looks like i'm back in the 90's. ....this update only fixes freaking COLOR???!?!?! are you literally fraeking serious here!?!? over 2 weeks and all i got wa an update that fizes something so freaking small, maching the background color and NONE of the funcionality problems ppl are having a biiig huff about??? Wow guys. by the way, not even going to offer a way to go back to an even older update if you guys really need "more time to fix the big issues"? cuz i sure as hell don't have a way to load back previous updates on this mobile device.

Updated Nov 22nd Hard reset mostly fixed the problem, after manually deleting some stubborn data mongers. It's a curious thing; that these persistent cookies where exclusively from the major personaldata-greedy players.

Mozilla is doing great work these days.
by Sean Patrick Murphy. on 2019/11/20 06:01
I used to contribute to Mozilla back in the day and to me they are back at the top of their game. On iOS dark mode and privacy respect are worth using alone. Great job to everyone involved.
Had to switch to Google Chrome
by Chazmania on 2019/11/19 03:11
Been a long time user of Firefox, but the current update is a mess and I’ve had to switch to Google Chrome for my iPad. Google thinks this version of Firefox is the old desktop and mobile versions of Firefox 20 and presents me with the Google interface from years and years ago. Firefox Sync no longer functions and I have lost all my bookmarks and logins & passwords on my iPad. I still have everything on my old laptop, but can’t transfer them. Facebook Stories are broke and will not play and the text entry for the pop up for private messages is out of the Facebook window and I can’t see what I’m typing. Have submitted my issues multiple times through Firefox feedback and in the Mozilla support forum with no response and no fix for Firefox. Essentially, this current update to Firefox after the release of iPadOS has rendered the program useless.
Can’t see time, WiFi strength, or battery status
by Raeun on 2019/11/18 21:10
Firefox, Your app is very useful. I use the incognito mode and bookmarks all the time. I also love the way you organize my tabs but your app does have something that may eventually make me turn to a different browser. unfortunately, it is very inconvenient to use because if ever I am curious about what time it is, or if I’m wondering if I’m connected to WiFi, I have to either exit your app or open the Notification Center just to figure it out. The reason why I have to do these other steps is because your app makes it so that the information on the top of the screen are blended in to your app. If you could please find a way to make the background stick out from the bottom of the screen then this would be a great improvement in overall convenience. You could maybe make the font of the information black so it would not blend in to your app’s background or you could just make the top part of the screen black so the font wouldn’t have to be changed at all. I really do enjoy using this app and I would not want to switch to any other app. Please make this improvement so that I may stay a loyal patron of your app. Thanks for your time and I look forward to any improvements you make in the future! Best Wishes, Ryan Garcia
Pointless, nay aggravating, changes
by Ridgeback2012 on 2019/11/18 18:01
The latest update changed ergonomics and (re)moved features. Don’t you just hate it when they do that, thereby contravening one of IT’s oldest rules: never mess with a smooth running system. But then again Firefox for iOS always was a poor choice. Not as poor as the mandatory Safari, but poor nonetheless. Its most annoying ‘feature’ is that after about 30 minutes of browsing it starts to only render the top half of the page. Also, switching between tabs makes it re-render every tab as you switch back to it. And what’s this all about: “Your browser doesn’t support full screen”? It doesn’t get much more idiotic than that.
They tried.
by Joof12345 on 2019/11/18 17:37
Apple only lets them do so much on ios. I believe this is safari under the hood with tweaks... im not sure but either way nice work 🤷🏻
Really bad at handling galleries
by Namefrogfishtoad1234 on 2019/11/18 12:14
Overall a good browser, but there is something wrong with how it is handling galleries. Sites like ArsTechnica you can get stuck in a gallery, with no way out.
What is wrong?
by MetLaugh on 2019/11/18 01:34
I have an iPhone 6+. Last update for Firefox messed things up. It will not stay open. Opens for a couple of seconds then goes to black. Won’t stay open long enough to let me see what’s going on. Just uninstalled again and will reinstall but don’t think it will help. Have done that 2x with phone restart too. I hope this is remedied soon. Firefox Focus app works fine but not as flexible as regular Firefox.
Great!
by tr0mbonedude on 2019/11/17 20:49
Nice logo refresh! I like keeping my bookmarks organized into certain folders based on topics and it’d be nice to be able to sort them as I bookmark them, just like the desktop version. Nice job overall! Killin’!

Awesome app
by transformer kotouc on 2019/11/16 04:14
I’m glad I have this app - it’s actually better than safari or chrome. It works flawlessly almost all the time. Don’t get me wrong there are days it doesn’t want to work. All I have to do is close the app completely & restart it then it works. Great job on the app. 2 thumbs up
Liking FireFox overall
by DogeyDogeyDoge on 2019/11/16 04:01
Just one device left and everything will be converted! I’m really enjoying it. The app might benefit from a few more updates/touch-ups. Themes, like on desktop, would be super cool. More control of privacy, like on desktop, would also be nice.
Frustrating
by chic reveiw on 2019/11/15 13:54
Why cant I pick my favorite sites on the home or new tab page? And why do I have to reset night mode every time I open the app? Tried to import bookmarks on the desktop app and sync them to my phone but the import didn’t work. Not crazy about how search suggestions are shown in a block instead of a drop menu. Makes them harder to scan through. This really needs some work....
Extentions

Better than using google
by MEJA_ on 2019/11/15 02:35
Firefox developers: stop signing me out of my Firefox account on my phone. Every time you do this, in order to sync my bookmarks, I have to remember my password, log into my email, get your 6 digit code, etc — all to continue doing what I wanted to do until your design decision stopped me from doing my task. Plus side the updates these days don’t wipe out every tab I have open like you used to.
Broken

Firefox app needs braces. The updates are horribly bad. Crashes very badly. Firefox have gone down hill. It slow and full of glitches. Fix this broken app or take it out of the App Store. The updates have not been good in a long time. Trashy updates. This app make my phone hot and warm.
Page and URL is Cleared on Previously Open Tabs
by BrightHalo on 2019/11/14 19:52
I’m constantly finding that tabs I go back to have the URL field blank and the page itself refreshes to a blank page. What is the point of leaving tabs open if you clear their contents and URL upon re-opening? Also if I chose to open a link in a new tab and go to it is often just a blank page..

Very glitchy
by iladelph19 on 2019/11/12 20:36
I love Firefox, and have for close to two decades. It’s as much a part of my life as my children in many ways... kidding aside, the iOS app is very glitchy. I don’t know how much is tied to Apple’s terrible iOS 13 update, or how much is tied to the programming of the Firefox app. Either way, I’ve been struggling to justify staying with the Firefox app. Too often pages don’t open, or won’t load, or log in, where they seem to act appropriately in Safari - which I hate using.
Love the new logo!
by Fhtagn_Dazs on 2019/11/12 01:13
Some recommended improvements: 1. As soon the app opens, it full screen displays the old logo. Feels inconsistent. 2. Slightly thinner navigation bars (top & bottom), for more visual space and balance. 3. Adblock or Tracker blocker support? Downloaded this app when it first came to iOS, it’s definately improved since then. It’s so quick and has all the necessities. Cheers, Mozilla!

New Version 20.0 broke viewing
by 3nv1r0nm3nt on 2019/11/11 02:10
The issue regarding mobile and desktop views in beta was not fixed and pushed out to stable. Please roll back to 19. Whatever was done is causing major issues with page layouts. Take google.com for example, you can be in mobile view, do a search and the layout will be fine, but as soon as you try to search again it will put it on the horrible desktop view and you have to toggle to desktop and back to the mobile view it was already on to fix....running iPad OS 13.2 iPad mini (2019)....
Revised review: WONDERFUL!
by n_squared on 2019/11/10 16:16
Revised review: Thank you Firefox for listening to loyal users! Finally! Thank you for full bookmark editing and sync. Also, thank you for the ability to delete ALL history. Now fix the Reading List sync and add the ability to FULLY TURN OFF history and the app will be perfect! ————————- Old review: NEEDS FULL BOOKMARKS ORGANIZATION: What is the point of sync if I can’t FULLY organize my bookmarks? Why, in this day of using MANY types of devices do you insist on treating my bookmarks as separate things? They are all just bookmarks! Let me organize them exactly the same on all devices. NEEDS READING LIST SYNC: Why do reading lists not sync across devices? People would like to add an article on iPhone, then access reading list article on their Mac. What is the point of sync if nothing actually syncs? PRIVACY: Why can’t I set the browser to not save history? Why can’t I clear history easily more than one day back without diving into settings? Also why can’t I turn off the top sites? Having sites I visit very large on the screen when I open the app for all to see is not very private. I’m confused as to why a company that promotes their privacy and sync features does not do a very good job at implementing either.

Very frustrating that is does not allow me to establish a Firefox account. I used three different email accounts to create a Firefox account and in every instance the app did hot recognize the 2-way verification code/token sent to me. This error was replicated 3 times. It was very frustrating and unfortunate. Back to Chrome I guess at least I can establish an account.

Wayyyy Better than safari and chrome
by Stevisi on 2019/11/09 03:24
I have an iPhone 8 and found that Firefox was so much faster on my Apple devices than both safari and google chrome. It’s also much more secure with built in protection from threats. Highly recommend for Apple products!
Fav browser
by BadDomino5 on 2019/11/07 18:34
Firefox is my favorite browser for iOS and “iPadOS” but there are a few things that I would love to make changes to: - Just recently, Firefox for iOS has started reverting back to the first, oldest tab. I am one of those messy users who has 99+ tabs open at once. Yes, they are all relevant to my interests and do not need to be closed. Having Firefox revert to my oldest tab is annoying in that I typically just want the most recently used tab open when I open Firefox. Please make the option available to open to the most recently used tab. - Apple is ignorant in making me choose to open external browser links in Safari or Chrome. Firefox isn’t even an option. Why must I choose a browser I don’t want the link opened in? I want Firefox. Thank you.

For an app that is supposed to help with your online security, WHY is the CLEAR HISTORY buried so deep into the app. Yes it’s a good app. Like most browsers are nowadays. And yet the Firefox Focus puts the TRASH right up front. Silly.

I am really liking the privacy features but and want to make this my main browser but the god awful dark mode is implemented horribly. It not only changes the interface but inverts the website colors. So a website that is default dark becomes light. It completely defeats the purpose of dark mode. You either need to only change the system to dark and ignore the website colors or give us an option on a per site basis. Will not be using until that is fixed. Edit: so there are two settings for dark mode. There is the one in the settings which just changes the app but doesn't touch the websites. And one in the menu that affects the websites and app depending on the other setting. Would help to have this better explained. Otherwise the app is great.

Slowest app in the App Store.
by Bill2go on 2019/11/01 16:51
This is the slowest app I’ve ever used. It takes forever to open. With the high speed of today’s internet, there’s just no excuse for having to sit and wait forever for pages to open, like with this app. Even with internet speeds in excess of 50mbps, this app still loads pages like you’re on a dial-up connection. There’s not even a “refresh page” button on this app. There are many better-designed, smoother-running, faster browsers out there. Don’t waste your time on this useless app.
What happened to this Browser
by JonnyZ50 on 2019/11/01 16:29
I use it use this browser years ago, left it behind because it became too slow, I was reintroduce to it recently and was pleased with its performance. I installed it on all my devices, worked great, has that sync feature that I really love, all my bookmarks on all my devices. Awesome! Then all of a sudden it stop working with gmail on my iPad (13.2) gmail has to be loaded at standard view, with a note on top about supported browsers, only this browser is listed as a “supported” browser, that’s fishy, does not work. Now that I write this maybe it should be addressed in the HELP section, anyway had to vent. What happened?

Strong privacy protection
by PacificRy on 2019/10/31 15:40
One of my favorite browsers. I love the focus on privacy. It’s cool to see all the website trackers this app blockers! It’s also a speedy, full-featured browser. I would like to see it updated for Dark Mode, so that it matches the system settings. It should apply to both the display theme and night mode, I’d think. I’ve tried the app setting to automatically adjust based on brightness, but it doesn’t always behave as expected. Overall, awesome app!

Many issues
by SirLagsalott on 2019/07/12 18:08
EDIT July 12: Another small update, no fix for any of the issues mentioned. EDIT July 8: Several months since its introduction and many times the issue has been reported, night mode is still unusable after a few minutes and causes the entire screen to become a garbled and unreadable mess. I appreciate the additions to the developer log that I didn’t even know existed on mobile but there might be more pressing issues. I’ve used this app for years and it seems to continue to get more buggy with each release. My first and main tab is Wikipedia, and so most of the bugs I find are experienced on that site. Whenever the app crashes (which happens very frequently, especially when switching from another app back to Firefox) it sends me to a completely random page from my browsing history on that tab, sometimes pages I visited last week. Night mode is great when it’s usable for a few minutes before causing the display to show a mess of distorted lines, partially or fully destroyed images, and various parts of the page being displayed on top of each other making it unreadable and impossible to tell where you are on the page. The night mode bug has existed for as long as I can remember night mode being a feature, while the flashback-on-crash issue seems to have only cropped up in the past two or three months.
Very nice but some problems
by 🎮Not Ur Avg Gamer🎮 on 2019/06/27 00:06
I initially wrote an extremely positive review on this app but that was awhile ago and now my opinions have changed. I use Firefox for literally every device I own and have had no problems but this app is the only one that seems to have a problem. Upon shutting out the app and reopening it, if I was doing something where progress doesn’t save (e.g, watching a video, typing something, and even switching from one app to back to Firefox) the app will shutdown before I am able to recover my progress. It will continue to do so until I reinstall the app or spam click incognito until the app can get its bearings together and attempt to recover the lost progress. I’ve had this problem for months now and it becomes annoying when I need to search something but am unable to do so because of this problem. I have started to use google and even safari much more than this as it provides the same as this app and doesn’t crash every time I open a new application. I really hope this can be fixed in some future update. I’ve read some reviews and a lot of people have complained about the same bug for awhile now which means that this bug is the least of your priorities?
Great app, lame new logo
by jdidn736 on 2019/10/28 21:48
The best personal phone internet browser because of the unique and accessible way Firefox places my most used sites right under the search bar, so I can get there with a single click—and be signed in already! For sites that I don’t use as often, or for random searches, I usually use chrome due to its better speed. However, nothing can beat Firefox’s single-click common websites—sometimes I can load my gmail even faster on Firefox than on the gmail app! At the same time—actually the reason I wrote this—I really hate the new logo. It’s cheesy and unappealing; the shape of the center circle and the unrecognizable fox make the app look a lot like a cheap chrome copycat, which it isn’t. For the specific applications I mentioned above, Firefox is clearly superior to chrome and I wish Firefox wouldn’t downgrade what was once an appealing logo to copy them.
Adore it
by sorry4ever on 2018/09/04 14:16
I love this app. I have not registered yet, but I might, because I love it so much. It works beautifully and has all the features that I need. If I registered, I would have even more features, but so far I really haven’t had the need to register. It’s easy to navigate and use. What more can I say? I adore it! Another app that I use and love is Safari. Yes, Safari. I love it because of the PDF feature. With Safari it’s easy to read the articles, or whatever, I’m trying to read, because my vision is not so good at my age. I love Chrome as well because I can sync it with my PC. However, it doesn’t do PDF and every time I need to save something I have to copy and paste the link to either Safari or Firefox. All three browsers are great. And I use them pretty much equally. But I just had to give a review on Firefox because I love it sooo much!!
Very buggy, after many releases still no fixes.
by ///Zain on 2018/01/31 12:20
As much as I love the team at Mozilla, their testing team just isn’t doing good. In terms of mobile devices they do not address issues even after many releases. Many times the entire app will be unresponsive to any gestures, making you force quit the application and restarting it. Sometimes you also have to close the tab even after a restart. Second, is their copy and paste... you must hold longer than apples normal settings to even copy a link. Normally you could click once on the address bar to select the entire thing but Mozilla thinks we want to edit the middle of our link when we click on it. Another is pop up light boxes are very buggy and become unresponsive. As you’re adding new features please also keep in mind to fix your bugs. I am no longer using this browser after 3 months of skeptical transition to a new browser but it seems I’ll be heading back to chrome for now. Sorry Team @ Mozilla.
Good but too buggy
by N810dahood on 2019/07/15 08:28
I recently left Chrome because of Google’s recent policy changes and am enjoying Mozilla a lot more. But wow, I cannot seem to make a full change on mobile with this browser. This is utterly garbage and it seems this has been an ongoing issue with no fix in sight. Night Mode is awesome but it has a few bugs such as discoloring pictures. It doesn’t affect videos, only pictures. Which, makes sense on the surface because it’s changing the colors on the page, but something needs to be done to improve this. The more pressing issue is screwing with the layout of a page when you’re trying to read. Think news article or Wikipedia. It is impossible to get through the whole thing without quitting because as you scroll, everything gets jumbled up. You can’t see where things are to press them. Going back and coming back doesn’t help. It’s a mess and it needs to be fixed. This is unbelievably bad. Still, Mozilla is better than Google as a company and Firefox is a better experience than Safari, so I still use it but I need this to be better before I give it 5 stars it really deserves. One of my favorite features is being able to send tabs to my devices. You have no idea how great that is. Also, Mozilla, you guys should look into adding a password generator in the mobile and desktop version like Google did for Chrome. It’s really great and much needed.
Love it. But slow launch
by Hop on slop on 2019/01/13 04:24
Love it but takes 20 seconds to launch and sometimes even forget what I opened it to search for. Other times, I’ll end up typing in the search bar once it does load, realizing later that I replaced a previously open tab with the new session... and this is the main problem. As the app opens, cannot please show as soon as it BEGINS to launch, that their is already a webpage populated in the url, and/or a screenshot of the page it was on when last closed or exited from... or even just open on a new we page either when the app is relaunched after closed, as well as when it is just left running in the background. Otherwise, I’ll always just open safari because it already does all of the things above... quick and I’m sure to never replace a previous session.
I’m confused as to why a company that promotes their privacy and sync features does not do a very good job at implementing either.
the google issue + no customer support + Pay fee for tech snooping threw my email
by rymatta87 on 2019/02/26 20:54
I jjst I just tried to call Firefox for customer support and they actually do not have a phone number to call. Anytime I try to do any Google search or check my email with Google on Firefox browser it shrinks the tax and makes everything so large that you can actually see any of the things that are going on in your email anytime I go to use a Google search on Firefox it makes the text super large and the areas were you trying to type super small so you can actually see anything. I’ve opened the same links in safari not an issue so it’s definitely not just my desktop and I called the so-called Firefox Support number I then spoke with the person for 20 minutes getting them to remote into my account at which point they told me they could fix the issue but I have to pay a one time support fee then that lady started to trying to open up my personal emails while she was remolding into my computer!!
Bookmarks system is unintuitive
by Hyde233 on 2019/09/06 03:23
I’ve recently switched over to Firefox because Chrome’s become an slow pile of trash. Firefox is better performance wise, but is especially lacking in its bookmark system (in terms of convenience). Trying to edit bookmarks is tedious as you have to press the edit button then tap the bookmark, whereas Chrome allows you to just simply tap and hold the bookmark to edit. When you add a bookmark, you can’t immediately edit its information or even specify what folder you want the bookmark to be in (You have to open up the bookmark menu, find the bookmark, then edit from there). Chrome allows much better convenience with a small popup that asks if you want to edit the bookmark’s information every time you add a new bookmark. Bookmark syncing is also extremely delayed. Some of my complaints also apply to the desktop version.
Reasonable browser, but missing features
by eric@durhamnc on 2019/08/21 14:48
Works reasonably well for browsing, but it can be slow in loading pages. There is no way to download a pdf to your phone. (Online firefox documentation mentions a download button which simply does not exist. Elsewhere it suggests the button is hidden in customization, but the is no Customize item in Firefox for IPhone.). Bookmarks are poorly integrated into the browser as creating a bookmark is completely separated from locating a bookmark. An item called Send to Device requires signing up for and signing into Firefox Sync, which seems to defeat the purpose of sending something to device. (I guess we are supposed to understand that as “to a device” instead of “to the device”.) In short: fine but slow for basic browsing or reading Facebook, but other features are poorly integrated or unimplemented.
Update to auto-open links
by Bstep8 on 2019/03/27 18:49
I’ve been a Mozilla fan and supporter monetarily and with all of my personal and business equipment for over 15 years. Your products have always continued to improve and be my first choice. My biggest issue with the mobile app, is that it doesn’t automatically open links found in emails. It pulls up a screen that asks if I want to open the link with Safari (yuck) or download Chrome (double yuck)! So I think it would be really beneficial if the app can include that simple feature, to automatically open these links, and not ask about safari and chrome. Otherwise, I have to copy and paste links which isn’t the most feasible or efficient process.
WHAT EVEN FIREFOX
by ridiculous ginger on 2019/02/23 19:52
so I would normally rate FF with 5 stars, because I love FF, it’s wonderful and awesome and so easy, not 3, but you have gone down 2 stars because of this recent ridiculously STUPID update. And maybe, probably, most definitely, I’m making a bigger deal out of it. But come on Firefox. I shouldn’t have to click on the 3 line thing for the menu to view my history, bookmarks, and whatever else the other two options were. Why it would be removed from the opening screen where it was before I will never know. It’s not more convenient. Its inconvenient. And yeah it only takes like an extra second and why am I complaining about something so dumb but still. I spent a good minute looking for where the bookmarks and history things went. No quero Firefox. Sadly using Safari because I refuse to go back to google chrome
Love it, less taps to get to synced tabs would be nice
by La le on 2019/07/07 18:00
I use Firefox on my iPhone, iMac and windows 10 machines. Often I’m reading on the desktop and want to pick up where I left off on my iPhone. Tabs at synchronized which is nice but a few less taps/clicks to get to the synchronized tabs would be nice. The way safari does it is slick but not a safari fan. Or maybe a mirrored mode where currently open tabs between all devices stay in sync vs. individually restoring synced tabs. As I read and close tabs, those tabs are closed on the desktop, iPhone etc. That would be cool to help me with research projects where I often have many tabs open and knock them out one by one. Keep up the great work.
Some interface tweaks would really improve it
by Dani_EG on 2017/12/22 16:26
The biggest reason to use Firefox mobile for iOS is if you're using it on your desktop. Why? On iOS there's no ad blocking for third party browsers, and you can't set it as your default browser, so you'll still have to use Safari sometimes too. Firefox could make accessing your tabs across devices a lot more seamless (ok, like Safari's), but they instead hide the feature too many taps away (they do this on the desktop browser too). It's the best reason to use FF for iOS, and they hide it! Furthermore, since you can't set this as a default browser, and since you can't open links from all apps in Firefox (although some apps do, and they rock!), then Firefox should AT LEAST include a share add on for other apps that allows you to open the browser to that page, right? Instead, it's for sending a tab to a device or sending it to your reading list. Why? Do you not want us using your app? I fortunately have Opener, which I set to open links in FF, but it's still more tapping and waiting than a simple "Open in Firefox" tool would be. Seriously, Mozilla, these should be your biggest priorities for iOS users, who are otherwise trapped on a Safari.
Nice update. Improvements needed
by chemium3 on 2017/11/11 23:42
The v10 update is good. Tabs view icon is finally moved to the bottom bar; the weird margin to the right in reading mode is gone; UI overhaul is IMO good; extra love for the new icon. Now my go-to browser. Some problems: 1. Why don’t use the icons provided by the sites in quick dials? For example, now Gmail in quick dials shows a Google icon, Instagram a blue icon (the legacy one) and Tumblr a green one. 2. The new tab icon is not in the same position as the tabs view icon. You tap the tabs view switch, the tabs view opens, but if you want to open a new tab you’d have to move your finger to the right a little. Not a big thing but can be annoying sometimes.
A browser in decline
by Teelo888888 on 2019/10/29 02:43
Did you seriously make the top of the app white so that you can no longer see the clock/battery/cell signal while you’re using Firefox? I’ve been using Firefox since 2003 and there have been so many issues for the past few months on both the mobile version, iPad version (which is the most broken), and even the desktop version. I really hate to switch browsers since I’ve been using FF for nearly 20 years, but I just can’t deal with how unreliable and broken it is on almost every platform nowadays. (My theory is that this all began when FF started blocking all third party tracking cookies, things seemed to get worse immediately after that) But anyways, yeah, making the clock/battery/signal invisible on iPhone (with dark mode, if that matters) is just the latest in a series of disappoints from Mozilla.
Slowwwwww
by Josielynn on 2018/03/11 14:52
After months of trying to make Firefox work on my iPhone I'm giving up and going back to safari. It's slow to open and when you leave and come back the page has to reload. The people who say this browser is fast are using a different workflow than me. I rarely stay in the browser for long stints, preferring to hop around between chat and browsing, and the time it takes to load after leaving, no matter how brief, is infuriating. On top of the slowness getting started, there are user experience obstacles to me being able to use the browser efficiently. There are 3 menu buttons and I never press the right one the first time. Every time I navigate to my book marks it goes to the highest level, and as I like to share my bookmarks in my toolbar across devices, that's 3 or 4 levels of navigation. I like to use private browsing, but the "open link from clipboard" link never stays in private browsing so I can't use that shortcut either. The share link is my most accessed button and on safari it's not buried in a menu, but in this app it is. I'll continue to use Firefox to add to or navigate to my bookmarks, but otherwise safari is still leaps and bounds better. I really wish this isn't true in the future.

I equally use both Safari and Firefox, and am impressed at how Firefox “feels” like Safari as far as functionality. I personally appreciate apps that mimic iOS gestures, makes for a fluid experience. Most all of the gestures and function keys are similar, and that makes Firefox easy to use for me. Minus one annoyance I hope Mozilla will fix. When viewing multiple tabs, on Safari you close a tab with and ‘X’ in the upper left of the tab, and on Firefox it’s on the upper right. It’s aggravating when I am constantly reopening a webpage in Firefox because the ‘X’ is on the wrong side. It’s petty I know, but on a pretty flawless browser, it’s those little things that make it that much better.
Thank you.
Good, but Tab Interface could use tinkering
by MeleeCyrus on 2017/10/02 17:23
Good browser, but the way it handles tabs could use some work. New tabs open automatically without any type of visual feedback, so it’s a bit hard to tell right away if the page I’m viewing is on a different tab than the previous page I viewed. Also, I think it’d be better if the New Tab button was in an easier to reach spot. It’s a bit inconvenient having it on top, away from where I usually place my fingers near. Besides that, though, it’s a fine browser - especially if you use Firefox on your desktop or other devices.
Sync is Awesome
by Morebits on 2018/10/26 15:35
Recently I started syncing using Firefox sync to sync bookmarks between multiple desktop computers and it works so well I decided to try Firefox on my iPhones using sync. The Sync function works great. Reader mode, and text resize work great too. My one new feature request is when you select a bookmark to view a page, Firefox does not remember where in your bookmark hierarchy that bookmark was, and Firefox does not return you to that bookmark when you tap the back arrow (instead Firefox returns you to the top of your bookmarks, this is aggravating especially for people with hundreds/thousands of nested bookmarks).
Annoying after iOS 11 update
by ♦♥♣♠ on 2018/09/13 14:56
Let’s get one thing out of the way first: All web browsers in iOS are just Safari with different skins and few performance-unrelated functions. Apple dictates that. I’ve been using FF (in iOS 10) as a secondary browser just to keep browser cookies separate for certain things, avoiding cross-contamination of work/life which also allows for multiple account usage at the same time on one website/platform for various reasons. Mid-August of ‘18, I finally updated to iOS 11 and started experiencing a very annoying issue with FF (not sure if app updated to newer, iOS 11 compat version or it just behaves differently: while browsing a website and after using text input field several times, the keyboard pops up when tapping anywhere (not text input field) in the browser window (for scrolling, clicking stuff, etc). Same thing happens with some pop up menus. Xenforo text fields and Apple website iPhone comparison phone selection pop up menus are the latest things I experienced today. Some things are completely unusable because of this. Sometimes, reloading a page helps. I find FireFox in iOS 11 to be junk. Bad experience, major aggravation in the last few weeks, since I updated to iOS 11.
Love everything. One suggestion.
by SuperSpumoni on 2018/06/16 14:52
This is nearly perfect browsing app for me. I switched from dolphin browser to this. I was sad to give up their classic tab system but i love firefox tab system more. Love the simple swipe gestures for back forward and to close tabs too. It is my primary browser now!! One little suggestion: in new tab view setting, it'd be nice to be able to only show bookmarks, instead of rest of history and other tabs showing. I accidentally click those somtimes. Kind of like how chrome browser gives you the option to have clean bookmark icons only on new tab page.
Long run
by scarlet spatula on 2019/10/13 04:28
I’ve been using Mozilla stuff since the mid-2000s, including the initial Firefox launch, on my Macs. That level of experience might make me biased, but I find Firefox a much more comfortable UX over the clunky alternatives. I’d prefer fewer updates and no click-thrus for update info, which can feel a tad dumbed down, but such is life. Overall, Mozilla has done a good job satisfying its core users and outlasted things like rebranded Opera and Explorer for a reason. If you’re an art person like me, it meshes well. I’m not a plant or paid, just my opinion on what works for me. I like alternatives, and if Firefox keeps providing it with quality I’ll keep using it.
Great browser, company, and philosophy
by Ducktart on 2019/03/16 12:35
Firefox on iOS is a great browser. It's privacy-centric, which is an underrated feature in the Facebook age. It's the only third-party iOS browser I have found with a reader mode, which is the only thing that kept me with Safari. Pocket integration is fantastic. I love that Firefox is completely open source so I can see exactly how my information is handled and make privacy decisions accordingly. I look forward to Firefox Notes coming to iOS. It seems like there is finally going to be a good solution for syncing rich-text notes between my iPhones, Macs and Linux machines. Note: there are certain things beyond Mozilla's control that make Firefox seem slower than Safari. Apple does not allow Mozilla to use its Quantum engine. Further, Safari is granted system privileges so it stays in RAM longer, making Firefox seem slower this is not for lack of trying on Mozilla's part and is a limitation all third-party browsers face. Keep up the great work, Mozilla. Stay focused on your principles.
It’s a gr8 app to get away from safari, but...
by Infiltr8arts on 2018/09/24 17:19
Dear Mozilla Team. The three things that need fixing. 1. We need Folders for our Bookmarks, and the ability to rearrange the order of our bookmarks. 2. On my iPhone X, when I click the Address bar, it doesn’t have the pop up menu working correctly. For example, if I try to copy the web address it forces me to press once and then again I have to press and hold just to bring up the menu for copy, paste, paste and go, ect. It requires multiple clicks to do what’s usually is a one click operation. 3. It would be nice to have a favorites or bookmarks button on the main screen always, like all browsers usually have. It’s annoying to have to click a menu and then click favorites. Those R the 3 easy fixes I think could make this app a 5 Star app. It’s so close to perfect Mozilla Team. Other than those annoyances, it’s an awesome app and fast. It block most pops ups and offers private inter-netting when U click that option. It would also be nice to an option to have privacy on always. Rather than always having to click it.
Just a thought
by Curlupndyy on 2019/10/27 09:32
I’m just getting started with the app and my review is based on the philosophical point taken by the developers. I’m taking it on faith. I’ve had a problems, but I wasn’t surprised since I brought many with me. Time will tell. I see the apps given the higher rating, including another of Mozilla’s browser apps, offer Face ID. I have concerns about being eased into another technological gift that may ultimately widen the ratios between the educated evolved persons and end users. I like the idea of having time to learn well rather than superficially. Thus, keeping my independence.
Lots of good features, interface still clunky
by DavoColo on 2019/10/19 15:40
Firefox finally allows for some management of bookmarks — creating, editing, deleting. To move bookmarks to a desired desktop folder, however, requires the desktop version of FF. And items added to the mobile Reading List don’t sync at all. But some (achingly slow) progress is being made in this area. Face it, privacy is not a big goal of most browsers (especially Google Chrome, whose business model is all about surveillance of its customers). Firefox makes privacy a priority. Great job on privacy, Mozilla. Now make usability compelling enough that users don’t feel the need to trade privacy for Chrome or Safari’s superior (imho) usability.
What? No Copy & Paste
by bscoc on 2019/02/05 12:25
I’ve been a long fan of Firefox. It has been my habit to install it on every new device or workstation I use. In the past, it has just simply worked, and all the work they do to protect users and innovate interfaces has been greatly appreciated. However, Mozilla has started to sacrifice user experience for what they think are “best practices”. I think they are getting full of themselves as champions of virtue in an otherwise corrupt internet ecosystem. Case in point: why will they not allow cut/copy/paste in the iOS browser? It totally kills the functionality for someone like me who uses my phone for more than reading the news and cat videos. So, sadly, after all this time, Mozilla is loosing me and I’m back to Safari. Meh.
Annoying, feels old school in a not good way.
by assfghjklqwertyuytreeq on 2019/01/26 04:21
Why do you guys still have the accidental-text-select-impossible-to-unselect-get-outta-my-way text bug that safari introduced back in like ios 3? What's up with not being able to select where my book marks go? Just build a decent browser with the ability to permanently turn off history and I'd be happy. It's just that I never come away impressed, always just surprised that you guys are still so clueless and still building an annoying interface, albeit not as annoying as safari but light years behind Brave--well until they broke everything in December. I'm willing to suffer to not use chrome or safari, and mainly so I can use privacy badger, but you're not helping things. KISS?
Using it for DuckDuckGo
by AaKkRw on 2019/05/05 16:36
Safari and chrome are still the best browsing experience on iPhone. Using Firefox + DuckDuckGo to see how different search results get, outside of google environment. In my experience the best browser for the following things is: Reading mode: safari on iPhone, Edge everywhere else Tab/ mode switching : chrome Website experience: chrome Sync: Firefox seems to be good at it, with chrome you kind of have to wait for it to do the device sync. Text rendering on websites: Edge (if you read a lot of stuff online you should try out Edge) Battery: don’t care. anyone with an iPhone is always looking for a charging outlet always anyways. Graphics rendering: everyone is nice but Firefox leaves you wanting. Screen space utilization/ overall look/ overall UI: safari hands down, Apple is so good at making frequent actions easy. Slightly advanced user options (ex. Find in page): everyone but safari Privacy: Firefox and Edge. This is just my experience using these products.
Love the app but
by mephisto9466 on 2019/10/29 09:18
Hey all. I love Firefox and I love what they stand for with privacy. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because with the most recent update they introduced an rotation feature of Firefox where if you hold the phone upside down where the home button faces up, then it rotates to a position where it’s like normal instead of staying in landscape mode unless you rotated it to where the home button was below the speakers. I would like for it to do that again where it stayed in landscape mode when the home button is above the speakers because it’s easier to lay in bed and browse.
Ummmm...No
by TRBinOR on 2018/03/18 01:37
I thought gave all my bookmarks and setting on all my devices would be cool. It wasn't. Every time I open the app I am asked to make setting changes so the app can send me notifications. Maybe its just me bit I am not sure what a browser would need me to urgently know that it needs access to my location and be able to send notifications. I have clicked ‘no thanks’ several times but it keeps asking. Getting really annoying. The other problem is that it is really slow, hangs and fails to load results. When it does load a results page it won’t load the selected item from the search page. My bookmarks ate all synced up but the browser just is not ready for prime time on my iPhone
I have been using Firefox browser since iOS 3 and now I’m having a problem.
by Kilpatrickak48 on 2019/06/20 03:12
Every time I wanna pair my phone with my computer. I’m sent a text message and link to download the app for iOS devices. I have been unable to use Firefox browser as my default browser. I only got the same message and what I searched for in the browser was not what I saw. I just got sent to the message I wanna know how to get this fixed. I have successfully got my phone and computer pairing with Firefox browser but I cannot get to shake the link to the AppStore and Firefox.
Press & hold UI change
by LAX20531 on 2019/03/19 19:14
I’m a Windows user and its helpful to have my sessions saved devices, along with the security enhancements provided by Firefox. The one missing piece I continually attempt to use is the Peek & Pop functionality for links I want to open in background tabs. An add-in add blocker is needed. Finally, why are often use commands buried so deeply within the UI? I’ve tried to mitigate my use of bookmarks since they’re duplicated and out of control, but having to perform 3-4 clicks to drill down is not effective. Can we have a press and hold on the lower hamburger bar to bring up the library? Or a dedicated icon?
No bookmark folders
by nikniknik9876567789 on 2019/06/08 01:34
I was so excited to see good reviews for this app. I've been getting fed up with ios safari, and one reason was the horrible lack of bookmark exports except through Apple's mac sync. I have a linux. Amazingly, when it comes to bookmarks, Mozilla managed to outdo Apple in lack of thought. The description for this app says "a more personal browsing experience." There is NO way to create bookmark folders in this app. All your bookmarks must go into one long, cluttered, unorganized list. For me, there is nothing "personal" about this. I'm not a robot to pick out what I need out of a giant textual mess. The only absurdly convoluted way to create something as SIMPLE and basic as bookmark folders is to 1) Create a Mozilla account 2) Get a Firefox browser on a desktop computer 3) Create your folders 4) Sync them with this app 5) Then you can place new bookmarks in those folders If (when) you need even ONE additional folder you have to do this all over again. This is a step back from basic functionality which has always existed in browsers. Amazed that this browser was created by Mozilla. The Mozilla of old is dead
Wonderfully fast!
by Msbarnes87 on 2018/07/19 08:59
I have to say, I am glad I gave Firefox a second change, and it has not let me down. Noticeably faster than Chrome, Edge, and Safari. It thinks keep improving, and the webpage loading speeds keep up the awesome work, I am fully prepared to make Firefox my go-to web browser, instead of Safari. There is only one thing that concerns me... The Wiki page for iOS Firefox states that Firefox for iOS had been discontinued. Is this the case? I would hate to fall in love with Firefox all over again, just to learn that Wikipedia states that the product is no longer. Is this true?
Good but some gripes…
by fjpoblam on 2019/03/07 17:24
Not a habitual browser. Here’s why, and some suggestions. 😴 - Mozilla/Firefox: Listen to your users! IMPORTANT! (as we say in CSS). No ivory tower. We’re here. REALly. (Get it? Real.) - Fix bookmarks. Many (probably most) use them. It’s a matter of efficiency. iOS bookmarks need to be *editable*! Rename, change URL, reorder. Then, not desktop bookmarks separate from mobile bookmarks: just...Bookmarks! And how about this: make “Top Sites” analogous to the Safari “Favorites” bar. don’t keep sticking recently visited stuff there: that belongs in History! - Give us easy access to History and Reading List. - Pocket? Complete utter waste of whitespace and broadband. I have news apps IF I want to see that guff. - You say and are proud of Firefox as a bastion of privacy? Yet Google comes as the default search engine and Facebook comes in the default pinned sites? Anethema! That’s like saying, “We stand for privacy but we can see through the window thhat you left your drawers down.” Walk the walk, folks. Make Firefox a TOOL, not just a symbol. Nuff said.
Good, getting better, still some frustrating bugs
by Kevin Reimund on 2018/03/11 22:59
I have two persistent bugs which make using Firefox difficult. First, when a tab refreshes (from memory, I think), it will only render the first page or so and the rest of the page will be dead. The entire tab is dead, even if you go to a new URL. You have to copy the address you’re at to a new tab and load the page again. Second, Firefox doesn’t seem to be able to export PDFs very well. If I’m on a PDF and I want to send to iBooks, for example, the pop up says “creating pdf” (except it already is a pdf), and fails to do anything. After, “send to iBooks” is no longer visible in the sharing menu. Opening up the PDF in Safari or Chrome gives no issue exporting to iBooks (or other apps like DropBox). I’ve found the crash rate to be comparable to Chrome. Not horrible. I like working with Firefox again (left for Chrome in ‘09), so I’m willing to stay patient with Firefox, but it amazes me that these bugs weren’t fixed months ago.
Decent but not great
by Apple is incompetent on 2019/08/02 03:30
Tried to find an alternative to chrome (start up times and typing have been laggy but maybe I have like 1k tabs open idk, anyway) and downloaded Firefox. This is specific but when I’m using google image I can’t swipe down to close the images. Safari and chrome both do this. When I’m using horizontal scrolling that’s part of a page, the address and tool bar just quiver in and out of the screen because I think it’s assuming I’m trying to swipe back a page. Just some functional problems that I would run into constantly if I were to use this browser. So for me it’s a decent but not great.
Annoying issue
by 046821680523589 on 2018/10/10 17:22
Sometimes when clicking a drop down box after selecting an option and “done” the drop down box keeps opening when scrolling down the page. For example, looking up auto parts online, it prompts me to select my year, make, model (all of these are selected via drop down boxes) I tap the first, scroll down to the year I want then click done. When attempting to select the make under its drop down box the selection for year keeps popping up. This is the most frustrating issue with the app I’ve encountered.
Almost great but needs a fix!
by WSK25 on 2018/07/22 04:01
Have always loved FF, have had it on my desktop for years. Just got a new iPad and finally decided to download the app. So, far I’m liking it, getting used to it. But while working with the Top Sites, I added 26 of them, when I finished and went to inspect my work, 10 of them got truncated because FF only allows 2 rows of 8, at least on my iPad. So, if FF could let us have the option to customize the number of rows and let us also be able to name the icon ourselves, instead of grabbing it from the url, I would be inclined to rate the app a 5.
Nothing like the computer version
by Fototico on 2018/08/12 20:59
Doesn’t support desktop mode. You are stuck with the down washed version of sites. Lousy! This is nothing like the computer version. How the hell do you bookmark a website and put it in the folder you want? I would like one set of bookmarks that is shared between my desktop, ipad, and iphone. I dislike having a folder for the desktop synced book marks separate. Also give me a real tool bar at the top. Having to tap on the tabs number to get to settings is dump. At least give people options to modify the top bar. I love the computer version of firefox. Since I installed it in my desktop and laptop years ago I have never looked back at any other browser, but this mobile version is not for me. I'll stick with Dolphin or Atomic. So far my favorite two browsers for my iphone and ipad, with Dolphin being on the lead. I really hope they change this app and improve it to resemble more the desktop version. As of right now is not good enough for me. The ONLY thing I somewhat like is the ability to sync bookmarks with my computers. But again, please don't separate bookmarks.
Impressive turnaround! Fastest browsing.
by Bawstun1985 on 2018/01/14 22:44
I had used earlier versions of this app when on a quest to find the “best” browser for iPhone. I’ve tried them all, Safari, Opera Mini, Puffin, Mercury, Atomic, Chrome, Aloha, etc. etc. Let me say - I HATED the previous Firefox versions. This new one is now my default. It just loads pages twice as fast as all the others, there’s really nothing more to say. Give it a shot, you won’t regret it. Great interface, a well-implemented night (dark) mode, and SPEED SPEED SPEED. Thanks Mozilla. A giant leap forward...

History? Cookies?
Yes.

Won’t take my password (despite being logged in on my other devices) on iPhone...and has reset my default from Safari so now I have to dig around to find out how to switch it back ... not cool Firefox
The app crashes

Firefox won’t open consistently on my iPad - it crashes several times before I can use it. Still crashes even after the latest update. It’s fine on my windows desktop, but I’ll be deleting Firefox on the iPad. It’s useless.....

It doesn't.

why mozilla have not adds on?

Thumbs up.

Wow guys. by the way, not even going to offer a way to go back to an even older update if you guys really need "more time to fix the big issues"? cuz i sure as hell don't have a way to load back previous updates on this mobile device.

by Sean Patrick Murphy. on 2019/11/20 06:01

I believe this is safari under the hood with tweaks... im not sure but either way nice work 🤷🏻

by Namefrogfishtoad1234 on 2019/11/18 12:14

by MetLaugh on 2019/11/18 01:34
I have an iPhone 6+. Firefox Focus app works fine but not as flexible as regular Firefox.

by transformer kotouc on 2019/11/16 04:14
I’m glad I have this app - it’s actually better than safari or chrome.

Fav browser
by BadDomino5 on 2019/11/07 18:34
Firefox is my favorite browser for iOS and “iPadOS” but there are a few things that I would love to make changes to: - Just recently, Firefox for iOS has started reverting back to the first, oldest tab.

Silly.

A good app but could use better information choices.
by scoble on 2019/11/06 02:53
I am really liking the privacy features but and want to make this my main browser but the god awful dark mode is implemented horribly.

I use it use this browser years ago, left it behind because it became too slow, I was reintroduce to it recently and was pleased with its performance. I installed it on all my devices, worked great, has that sync feature that I really love, all my bookmarks on all my devices. Awesome! Then all of a sudden it stop working with gmail on my iPad (13.2) gmail has to be loaded at standard view, with a note on top about supported browsers, only this browser is listed as a “supported” browser, that’s fishy, does not work. Now that I write this maybe it should be addressed in the HELP section, anyway had to vent. What happened?

Why change?
by arth.dev on 2019/11/01 08:10
There was an update now my pages open like the desktop version. Some videos dont load or open anymore because they require other things to run like java or adobe also. They dont work on ipads.
Recent update ruined this app
by Go***kYourselvesEA on 2019/11/01 05:53
After the most recent download, no videos work, and all of webpages appear as if they were on desktop view.
A good app but could use better information choices.
by scoble on 2019/11/06 02:53
I am really liking the privacy features but and want to make this my main browser but the god awful dark mode is implemented horribly.
Many issues
by SirLagsalott on 2019/07/12 18:08
EDIT July 12: Another small update, no fix for any of the issues mentioned.
I’m confused as to why a company that promotes their privacy and sync features does not do a very good job at implementing either.
the google issue + no customer support + Pay fee for tech snooping threw my email
by rymatta87 on 2019/02/26 20:54
I jjst I just tried to call Firefox for customer support and they actually do not have a phone number to call.
Love everything about this browser except...
by BaByGr00t on 2018/06/02 14:53
I equally use both Safari and Firefox, and am impressed at how Firefox “feels” like Safari as far as functionality.
