It never connects despite working WiFi and Bluetooth. Competitor products work fine on same network. This app is poorly designed and is basically hot garbage! Developers should fix these issues with app and hardware connectivity quickly.

Product: Deluxe Soother I downloaded and opened the Smart Connect app and held the power button down on the Deluxe Soother to sync as instructed, but it took several minutes for the device to connect to the app. Maybe if you add a statement like, “Connecting to device, please wait a few minutes,” as it is syncing, that would help customers understand that the device is working, that would help. Once the app is synced to the device, it is a simple but intuitive user interface, and it works well.

I prematurely bought my daughter one of these Smart Toy Bears and now that she can use it- there’s no app to use it with. How do I control the volume of it now??? I can’t find any instruction on the internet.

My man & I decided to put everything up. I’m due in 3 more weeks so we started setting everything up for our baby. I put this swing set on my registry because I’m obsessed with owls and I just loved it. Got it on my baby shower. The app seemed like a cool feature but I honestly didn’t care about it. I don’t mind hitting the buttons manually. But I decided to download the app and test it out considering the comments before the little one arrives. I don’t know if there’s a glitch or what but the swing went on full speed on its own, you lower it and it goes back to full speed within a few mins. Rocker was going crazy lol not sure that’s safe while the baby is in the chair. I’ve tested it about 10 times to see if anything would change but nope. Other then that the swing is beautiful and it works fine manually. I suggest if you buy the swing, not to use the app. At least not till they fix it, obviously something is off since everyone is having trouble with the app. Like I said, I don’t mind doing it manually but for those moms who are looking to connect to phone, this might not be it. Hoped this helped..

Yes the rock and play is on recall. But we follow the directions and belt our son in. It’s the only way he sleeps. And yet YOU TAKE AWAY THAT FUNCTIONALITY FROM THE APP?! I am appalled that you removed that.
No Longer Works For Rock N Play

We have had the Rock N Play since our daughter was born and it worked great. Now with these “safety concerns”, the app functionality for the rock N play has been removed. I can understand putting a notification on the app regarding the recall and safety concerns but, there are sod of us that follow the proper safety precautions that would like to continue using the product.

I got the device because of the “WiFi” feature. I thought it would nice to be able to turn it on and off, and change features without having to actually go in my sons room without waking him up. However, it’s connected maybe 3 times since having it, and I’ve had the device for about 7 months now. It’s not like I have a big house and I’m a ways away from his room, my living room is literally right next to his room and it doesn’t connect. It won’t even connect standing at his door. Just a huge disappointment all around.

This app frustrates me. It works well and has great features (music on the go) but just when you start to like it, it reminds you why it’s awful. Having the option of timers for the white noise and movement is great - what is not great is when the app goes rogue and decides to shut it off, waking your baby and making you want to cry. I never use a timer, only choosing continuous since using the product. However, it will randomly set a 30 minute timer, and I have no idea why. Why can’t continuous be the default setting? Please stop doing this to parents!

Looses connection daily on both smart connect items I own. The deluxe soother and Rock n play. It says my item is off when it’s on . It’s a good idea and concept but becomes really annoying with connection issues.

Love this idea and use it regularly for my infant. I like the range of settings you can do for timers (30min, 6”mins, Continuous...etc) and levels of speed and volume. My challenge with it is, it looses connection almost daily and I am having to constantly reconnect so when I often need it, it’s not available and I have to resync. Most often I push the buttons manually and with my hands full with baby and the other hand pushing buttons my phone is not near to resync. So not as smooth and useful as it could be it the app would stay connected.

So I unpacked, assembled, and was fully operational in about 20 minutes. Download was easy and the app worked as expected. No complaints. Absolutely no issue with connectivity that some others had commented about.

Haven’t put the baby in yet (she’s not due for a few more weeks) but the app connects and works great. Initially had trouble connecting but it was because my Bluetooth wasn’t enabled on my phone. After I enabled Bluetooth it connected immediately!

I used to love this app. I’ve been using it for around 3 years now. It worked beautifully until recently. There was an update and then it said there was a firmware update and now my mobiles disconnect on me within a few hours. It’s useless if I can’t turn it on for my daughter when she wakes up and just needs to be distracted. Please fix. My children love their mobiles!

Used for a few months and vibrator stopped working. Also the bluebooth connection gets worse and worse, now it doesn’t work and can’t change any settings. Garbage I wouldn’t buy this product or any other garbage they make!

This rock n play has been a lifesaver and it’s even better that it connects to your phone! Being able to set the sounds and rocking all night has been what’s helped my baby sleep for hours on end! We recommended the app rock n play to two of our friends already!

The app made me update and now it makes me manually connect (hold down the power button) to the rock n play almost every day which is not easy to do when you have a sleeping baby in your arms. It was not like this before the update. Please fix.

Thank goodness for the smart connect. It works perfectly and we can turn the vibration and music on before the baby gets in from across the room. It’s great because then he doesn’t wake up when turning everything on. Or, if he is awake it’s less time for him to see his parents so he can put himself to sleep. We seriously love this. Since we started using it, our baby sleeps in the rocker for 8 hours a night (at 3 months). It works like a charm wherever we take it.

Omg I loved this capability so much that I bought a Smart Connect swing..... that won’t even connect. The Rock N Play has to be re-connected multiple times a day, I hate it. Get it together Fisher Price. Using an iPhone 8s+ so it isn’t me, it’s you.

My iPhone 8+ used to stay connected but since doing the new IOS update and updating the app also I can not get the smart rock n play to connect to my phone at all. Very disappointed as it wakes baby to turn music back on when it turns on off.

We’ve used this app with no problems until the most recent update in 12/2018. Now neither my phone or my wife’s phone will connect to the rock-n-play. Fisher Price needs to fix this ASAP!!! If they can’t fix this we won’t be buying any more FP products and we definitely won’t recommend them to anyone we know.

Absolutely loved being able to control the rock n play from my phone which meant not getting out of bed & minimal sleep disruption!!! Baby slept in it every night for over 3 months. App always worked.

The app is terrible. Connection to device takes minutes each time or never connects at all. If you enjoy listening to your child scream while you try to get the app to connect to your phone, this is the product for you.

Bought this rocker specifically because it lets you play your songs from iTunes on the rocker through the app but when we tried actually syncing the app to do this it won’t work! 😑 It just plays the songs on your phone.......

Like other reviewers, the app only turns the lights and sounds on and off but doesn’t work when attempting to turn on the swing or adjust speed. Also stops all function if you try so we just don’t use it. Seems this has been an issue for a long time with this product, hopefully they fix at some point for others wanting to buy but I wouldn’t recommend if you want this swing for just the smart connection capabilities.

When you try to adjust the swing speed or volume it turns off. The only benefit of using the app for me would be to set the timer.

His would be a neat app if it worked. I have a cradle n connect swing and you cannot adjust the swing speed using the app at all. Everything else seems to work fine except the swing speed and save settings. Considering the review history on this app I don’t expect the developers to fix it, which is a shame.

It’s nice that the rock and play can be controlled by an app on the phone, however, the app seems very primitive. It would be nice if you could set the volume to your desired setting when the sound is off. Instead, if the volume was last on high, you end up blasting your baby awake when you go to turn the sound on. It just seems like the app needs more fine tuning and could use an update to be more parent friendly.

I don’t know why but I can’t control anything with the app. My phone is connected, I can see what is playing and all the settings but I can do nothing. If I want to turn up or down the volume because my other son is crying and I want to cover the sound by turning it up I just can’t. It is so frustrating... it’s too bad because that was why I purchased it, to control it with my phone.

I was gifted the smart connect swing and I was so excited to use the app because I’m a week post c-section so getting up to change a setting is painful. But I’m stuck doing so anyway because the minute I change the music on the app or switch the lights on or off the rocking stops and the rocking option on the app does not work at all.

Connection with a single phone works fine, and functionality is adequate, more adjustable than the control panel on the rock and play at least. But the interface could use some refinement, even some very simple things. Like: don’t disable the volume adjustment when sound is off (otherwise I have blasted my baby with super loud noise until I get a chance to adjust it), and let the entire control screen scroll, not just a tiny part. Also the adjustments to the timers are not very discoverable. And how are the saved settings supposed to work?

Until we lost power this worked well. However after power was restored to home, I couldn't get it to pair again. So I uninstalled the app and reinstalled, but the deluxe rock and play was no longer an option. I installed on my second iPhone and it was perfectly fine. It's the same version of iOS and the app, yet have different product options. Totally disappointing that I cannot get it to work on my primary iPhone anymore.

This dumb app never works and when it does it takes an exorbitant amount of time to execute a command. By no means should this be considered a “smart” bassinet, quite dumb actually. The bassinet by itself with manual operation of the features works fine, don’t count on the app though as it is wholly unreliable.

While the lights on/off works, the music1/music2/nature sounds on/off works, you cannot control the volume, cannot turn the swing motion on, turn it up or down when the swing is already on, and cannot set the swing timer at all. In any of the features I just mentioned that do not work, when you try, it shuts all the current settings off (lights turn off, swing stops, music/sounds stop). Disappointed.

Par for the course these days with most apps. Well thought out idea that’s poorly executed or maintained. I’m on a 6S with current iOS using 4-in-1 Cradle Swing. The app allows me to remotely turn on/off music. It will not permit me to adjust nor activate the swing/speed. All I can do is turn it off. Which is good. But, give me full functionally. What’s the point of a half functioning app.?!

I loveD this app. I find it such a convenient feature of these products. I normally used my iPhone to control everything but I recently got an Apple Watch and was pleasantly surprised when I saw this app on it. After using just once I loved the app even more. Imagine my disappointment when this last upgrade took away the app for the Apple Watch! Please bring this feature back!! It makes this app so much better.

Please for the love of all things holy, make it so that opening the app gives you primary control of the device. Opening the app to see the message “somebody is already connected” is the most useless thing. Of course somebody is already connected. Her name is my wife and she’s not in this room right now or else she’d be making the thing rock.

Can't remove a device after coupling

I coupled a device that broke and I replaced it. Now I coupled with the new one, but the old one still shows in the app and there is no way to remove it. Missing function.

The old app wouldn't push the firmware update but the new app does and that fixes any volume control issues. I love having the ability to tweak the volume, lights or mobile movement all without going into the baby's room! Huge plus! This is a great idea, product execution. A++

Had 2 deluxe models that connected, but had electrical issues. "Upgraded" to the Premium Model and now it won't connect. My Wife and I both have iPhone 7 +. Please fix this issue ASAP...lots of $$ spent for a key feature to not work.

I'm getting ready for my baby, due dec 14, and I got the rock n play. So far I love it! We'll see how baby likes it in a couple weeks. I'm not very pleased with the app. The instructions seem very simple and easy to follow. Download the app, select your FP item and hold the power button down on the rocker for 5 seconds and it should pair. Well, I've been messing with this for a while and it's not connecting. I've made sure my Bluetooth is on and I'm connected to house wifi. So I hope FP gets this fixed soon. It would be a nice feature to have. However, the buttons on the rocker work great! I do like the songs that are on the app that I can play for baby on the go.

This was working fine and I saw comments re the update so I didn't download it, but my phone must have updated it last night because it's now the latest version and no longer working. It's saying my Sleeper is out of range -as I'm standing right next to it. FP please fix!

When I first downloaded the app, I was excited because I thought it used WiFi to connect my phone to the sleeper. Instead, it uses Bluetooth. Bluetooth has a range of 6 feet, which entirely defeats the purpose. If I'm already going to be 6 feet away from the sleeper, I'll just press the button myself. Use Wifi, Fisher-Price.

I am getting very frustrated with the time out feature. No matter how long I set the timer for (I need continuous because once the rock n play stops moving and playing music my daughter wakes up) it turns off after only 10 minutes. This needs to be fixed as soon as possible! It's hard enough to get her to sleep, but having to do it several times a night is just ridiculous.

It disconnects and says out of range always when we need/want it especially first thing every morning. Really thought this would be great but considering every time I want to use it I have to walk into the nursery and turn it on, it defeats the purpose! When it works I like the night light setting, however as it's only controlled by the app... and the app never works, it's a downward spiral. I hope FP fixes it, but assume they're laughing to the bank on this one.

Worked GREAT until I got the iPhone7 and even updated firmware. I deleted and reinstalled app and now it won't connect at all to phone. Only plus is the music on the go that we can use in the car. Someone needs to step up their game on the updates ASAP.

Love the app but after this last update it has rendered my daughter's mobile almost useless! It says it can't connect because my device is off or out of range when I am standing right next to it watching it spinning. My issue is that my last setting before receiving the update had it time out after only 10 minutes. Ten minutes is just too short of a time for my daughter and as soon as the mobile stops she wakes up completely and we have to start the process all over again. I love the app prior to this latest update. Please fix it!!!

This app is great but the latest update has bugs. My mobile says it's timed out when it's not. For ex. It's on and running right now but says I can't connect bc it's timed out or not connected. I've reset it several times and it will work work briefly then act up again. PLEASE FIX!!!

The reason I spent the extra money on this swing was so that I could use my smartphone to control it. APP DOESNT WORK!! Not to mention, I'm on my third swing because the first two broke! First one electronic malfunction after 24 hours, second was delivered cracked and broken. Ridiculous!

Anytime we turn the music on, it immediately turns back to white noise. The app does not stay on what is selected. I have tried to select it on the mobile itself and again it changes. Just recently updated the firmware to see if that made a difference and it has not.

No longer supports the swing. We bought the swing because we were able to connect it to our iPhones and control it however the app no longer supports this. This app is terrible and a waste of space now on my phone. The swing it's self works great but thinking about selling it now that it no longer connects to the app and will buy something else not made by fisher price.

The swing was a gift to us. We loved it because of the app so we could control it without disturbing the baby. However, the swing settings in app keep disappearing!!! If we had known this was going to happen all the time I'd have chosen another swing to put on our registry instead of this one! Not impressed at all!

This app is great but the latest update has bugs. My mobile says it's timed out when it's not. For ex. It's on and running right now but says I can't connect bc it's timed out or not connected. I've reset it several times and it will work work briefly then act up again. PLEASE FIX!!!

It never connects despite working WiFi and Bluetooth. Competitor products work fine on same network. This app is poorly designed and is basically hot garbage! Developers should fix these issues with app and hardware connectivity quickly.

My man & I decided to put everything up. I’m due in 3 more weeks so we started setting everything up for our baby. I put this swing set on my registry because I’m obsessed with owls and I just loved it. Got it on my baby shower. The app seemed like a cool feature but I honestly didn’t care about it. I don’t mind hitting the buttons manually. But I decided to download the app and test it out considering the comments before the little one arrives. I don’t know if there’s a glitch or what but the swing went on full speed on its own, you lower it and it goes back to full speed within a few mins. Rocker was going crazy lol not sure that’s safe while the baby is in the chair. I’ve tested it about 10 times to see if anything would change but nope. Other then that the swing is beautiful and it works fine manually. I suggest if you buy the swing, not to use the app. At least not till they fix it, obviously something is off since everyone is having trouble with the app. Like I said, I don’t mind doing it manually but for those moms who are looking to connect to phone, this might not be it. Hoped this helped..

I'm getting ready for my baby, due dec 14, and I got the rock n play. So far I love it! We'll see how baby likes it in a couple weeks. I'm not very pleased with the app. The instructions seem very simple and easy to follow. Download the app, select your FP item and hold the power button down on the rocker for 5 seconds and it should pair. Well, I've been messing with this for a while and it's not connecting. I've made sure my Bluetooth is on and I'm connected to house wifi. So I hope FP gets this fixed soon. It would be a nice feature to have. However, the buttons on the rocker work great! I do like the songs that are on the app that I can play for baby on the go.

Love the app but after this last update it has rendered my daughter's mobile almost useless! It says it can't connect because my device is off or out of range when I am standing right next to it watching it spinning. My issue is that my last setting before receiving the update had it time out after only 10 minutes. Ten minutes is just too short of a time for my daughter and as soon as the mobile stops she wakes up completely and we have to start the process all over again. I love the app prior to this latest update. Please fix it!!!

Thank goodness for the smart connect. It works perfectly and we can turn the vibration and music on before the baby gets in from across the room. It’s great because then he doesn’t wake up when turning everything on. Or, if he is awake it’s less time for him to see his parents so he can put himself to sleep. We seriously love this. Since we started using it, our baby sleeps in the rocker for 8 hours a night (at 3 months). It works like a charm wherever we take it.

Connection with a single phone works fine, and functionality is adequate, more adjustable than the control panel on the rock and play at least. But the interface could use some refinement, even some very simple things. Like: don’t disable the volume adjustment when sound is off (otherwise I have blasted my baby with super loud noise until I get a chance to adjust it), and let the entire control screen scroll, not just a tiny part. Also the adjustments to the timers are not very discoverable. And how are the saved settings supposed to work?

This app frustrates me. It works well and has great features (music on the go) but just when you start to like it, it reminds you why it’s awful. Having the option of timers for the white noise and movement is great - what is not great is when the app goes rogue and decides to shut it off, waking your baby and making you want to cry. I never use a timer, only choosing continuous since using the product. However, it will randomly set a 30 minute timer, and I have no idea why. Why can’t continuous be the default setting? Please stop doing this to parents!

Love this idea and use it regularly for my infant. I like the range of settings you can do for timers (30min, 6”mins, Continuous...etc) and levels of speed and volume. My challenge with it is, it looses connection almost daily and I am having to constantly reconnect so when I often need it, it’s not available and I have to resync. Most often I push the buttons manually and with my hands full with baby and the other hand pushing buttons my phone is not near to resync. So not as smooth and useful as it could be it the app would stay connected.

App has always worked perfectly for me! I see all the reviews where people have problems. I have an old IPhone 5S still running iOS 10. Absolutely loved being able to control the rock n play from my phone which meant not getting out of bed & minimal sleep disruption!!! Baby slept in it every night for over 3 months. App always worked.

It’s nice that the rock and play can be controlled by an app on the phone, however, the app seems very primitive. It would be nice if you could set the volume to your desired setting when the sound is off. Instead, if the volume was last on high, you end up blasting your baby awake when you go to turn the sound on. It just seems like the app needs more fine tuning and could use an update to be more parent friendly.

I got the device because of the “WiFi” feature. I thought it would nice to be able to turn it on and off, and change features without having to actually go in my sons room without waking him up. However, it’s connected maybe 3 times since having it, and I’ve had the device for about 7 months now. It’s not like I have a big house and I’m a ways away from his room, my living room is literally right next to his room and it doesn’t connect. It won’t even connect standing at his door. Just a huge disappointment all around.

The old app wouldn't push the firmware update but the new app does and that fixes any volume control issues. I love having the ability to tweak the volume, lights or mobile movement all without going into the baby's room! Huge plus! This is a great idea, product execution. A++

I am getting very frustrated with the time out feature. No matter how long I set the timer for (I need continuous because once the rock n play stops moving and playing music my daughter wakes up) it turns off after only 10 minutes. This needs to be fixed as soon as possible! It's hard enough to get her to sleep, but having to do it several times a night is just ridiculous.

This rock n play has been a lifesaver and it’s even better that it connects to your phone! Being able to set the sounds and rocking all night has been what’s helped my baby sleep for hours on end! We recommended the app rock n play to two of our friends already!

Until we lost power this worked well. However after power was restored to home, I couldn't get it to pair again. So I uninstalled the app and reinstalled, but the deluxe rock and play was no longer an option. I installed on my second iPhone and it was perfectly fine. It's the same version of iOS and the app, yet have different product options. Totally disappointing that I cannot get it to work on my primary iPhone anymore.

I loveD this app. I find it such a convenient feature of these products. I normally used my iPhone to control everything but I recently got an Apple Watch and was pleasantly surprised when I saw this app on it. After using just once I loved the app even more. Imagine my disappointment when this last upgrade took away the app for the Apple Watch! Please bring this feature back!! It makes this app so much better.

While the lights on/off works, the music1/music2/nature sounds on/off works, you cannot control the volume, cannot turn the swing motion on, turn it up or down when the swing is already on, and cannot set the swing timer at all. In any of the features I just mentioned that do not work, when you try, it shuts all the current settings off (lights turn off, swing stops, music/sounds stop). Disappointed.

It disconnects and says out of range always when we need/want it especially first thing every morning. Really thought this would be great but considering every time I want to use it I have to walk into the nursery and turn it on, it defeats the purpose! When it works I like the night light setting, however as it's only controlled by the app... and the app never works, it's a downward spiral. I hope FP fixes it, but assume they're laughing to the bank on this one.

Like other reviewers, the app only turns the lights and sounds on and off but doesn’t work when attempting to turn on the swing or adjust speed. Also stops all function if you try so we just don’t use it. Seems this has been an issue for a long time with this product, hopefully they fix at some point for others wanting to buy but I wouldn’t recommend if you want this swing for just the smart connection capabilities.

Product: Deluxe Soother I downloaded and opened the Smart Connect app and held the power button down on the Deluxe Soother to sync as instructed, but it took several minutes for the device to connect to the app. Maybe if you add a statement like, “Connecting to device, please wait a few minutes,” as it is syncing, that would help customers understand that the device is working, that would help. Once the app is synced to the device, it is a simple but intuitive user interface, and it works well.

So I unpacked, assembled, and was fully operational in about 20 minutes. Download was easy and the app worked as expected. No complaints. Absolutely no issue with connectivity that some others had commented about.

Please for the love of all things holy, make it so that opening the app gives you primary control of the device. Opening the app to see the message “somebody is already connected” is the most useless thing. Of course somebody is already connected. Her name is my wife and she’s not in this room right now or else she’d be making the thing rock.

Par for the course these days with most apps. Well thought out idea that’s poorly executed or maintained. I’m on a 6S with current iOS using 4-in-1 Cradle Swing. The app allows me to remotely turn on/off music. It will not permit me to adjust nor activate the swing/speed. All I can do is turn it off. Which is good. But, give me full functionally. What’s the point of a half functioning app.?!

Haven’t put the baby in yet (she’s not due for a few more weeks) but the app connects and works great. Initially had trouble connecting but it was because my Bluetooth wasn’t enabled on my phone. After I enabled Bluetooth it connected immediately!

Worked GREAT until I got the iPhone7 and even updated firmware. I deleted and reinstalled app and now it won't connect at all to phone. Only plus is the music on the go that we can use in the car. Someone needs to step up their game on the updates ASAP.

I don’t know why but I can’t control anything with the app. My phone is connected, I can see what is playing and all the settings but I can do nothing. If I want to turn up or down the volume because my other son is crying and I want to cover the sound by turning it up I just can’t. It is so frustrating... it’s too bad because that was why I purchased it, to control it with my phone.

I was gifted the smart connect swing and I was so excited to use the app because I’m a week post c-section so getting up to change a setting is painful. But I’m stuck doing so anyway because the minute I change the music on the app or switch the lights on or off the rocking stops and the rocking option on the app does not work at all.

I used to love this app. I’ve been using it for around 3 years now. It worked beautifully until recently. There was an update and then it said there was a firmware update and now my mobiles disconnect on me within a few hours. It’s useless if I can’t turn it on for my daughter when she wakes up and just needs to be distracted. Please fix. My children love their mobiles!
No Longer Works For Rock N Play

We have had the Rock N Play since our daughter was born and it worked great. Now with these “safety concerns”, the app functionality for the rock N play has been removed. I can understand putting a notification on the app regarding the recall and safety concerns but, there are sod of us that follow the proper safety precautions that would like to continue using the product.

Everything else seems to work fine except the swing speed and save settings. Considering the review history on this app I don’t expect the developers to fix it, which is a shame.

When I first downloaded the app, I was excited because I thought it used WiFi to connect my phone to the sleeper. Instead, it uses Bluetooth. Bluetooth has a range of 6 feet, which entirely defeats the purpose. If I'm already going to be 6 feet away from the sleeper, I'll just press the button myself. Use Wifi, Fisher-Price.

Unfortunately this is useless. It connects just fine but none of the controls but the lights work. Extremely annoying and it doesn’t seem like they are doing much to fix it.

Had 2 deluxe models that connected, but had electrical issues. "Upgraded" to the Premium Model and now it won't connect. My Wife and I both have iPhone 7 +. Please fix this issue ASAP...lots of $$ spent for a key feature to not work.

Bought this rocker specifically because it lets you play your songs from iTunes on the rocker through the app but when we tried actually syncing the app to do this it won’t work! 😑 It just plays the songs on your phone.......

Yes the rock and play is on recall. But we follow the directions and belt our son in. It’s the only way he sleeps. And yet YOU TAKE AWAY THAT FUNCTIONALITY FROM THE APP?! I am appalled that you removed that.

So I unpacked, assembled, and was fully operational in about 20 minutes. Download was easy and the app worked as expected. No complaints. Absolutely no issue with connectivity that some others had commented about.

Haven’t put the baby in yet (she’s not due for a few more weeks) but the app connects and works great. Initially had trouble connecting but it was because my Bluetooth wasn’t enabled on my phone. After I enabled Bluetooth it connected immediately!

I used to love this app. I’ve been using it for around 3 years now. It worked beautifully until recently. There was an update and then it said there was a firmware update and now my mobiles disconnect on me within a few hours. It’s useless if I can’t turn it on for my daughter when she wakes up and just needs to be distracted. Please fix. My children love their mobiles!

This rock n play has been a lifesaver and it’s even better that it connects to your phone! Being able to set the sounds and rocking all night has been what’s helped my baby sleep for hours on end! We recommended the app rock n play to two of our friends already!

Thank goodness for the smart connect. It works perfectly and we can turn the vibration and music on before the baby gets in from across the room. It’s great because then he doesn’t wake up when turning everything on. Or, if he is awake it’s less time for him to see his parents so he can put himself to sleep. We seriously love this. Since we started using it, our baby sleeps in the rocker for 8 hours a night (at 3 months). It works like a charm wherever we take it.

We’ve used this app with no problems until the most recent update in 12/2018. Now neither my phone or my wife’s phone will connect to the rock-n-play. Fisher Price needs to fix this ASAP!!! Like other reviewers, the app only turns the lights and sounds on and off but doesn’t work when attempting to turn on the swing or adjust speed. Also stops all function if you try so we just don’t use it. Seems this has been an issue for a long time with this product, hopefully they fix at some point for others wanting to buy but I wouldn’t recommend if you want this swing for just the smart connection capabilities.

It’s nice that the rock and play can be controlled by an app on the phone, however, the app seems very primitive. It would be nice if you could set the volume to your desired setting when the sound is off. Instead, if the volume was last on high, you end up blasting your baby awake when you go to turn the sound on. It just seems like the app needs more fine tuning and could use an update to be more parent friendly.

Connection with a single phone works fine, and functionality is adequate, more adjustable than the control panel on the rock and play at least. But the interface could use some refinement, even some very simple things. Like: don’t disable the volume adjustment when sound is off (otherwise I have blasted my baby with super loud noise until I get a chance to adjust it), and let the entire control screen scroll, not just a tiny part. Also the adjustments to the timers are not very discoverable. And how are the saved settings supposed to work?

Until we lost power this worked well. However after power was restored to home, I couldn't get it to pair again. So I uninstalled the app and reinstalled, but the deluxe rock and play was no longer an option. I installed on my second iPhone and it was perfectly fine. It's the same version of iOS and the app, yet have different product options. Totally disappointing that I cannot get it to work on my primary iPhone anymore.

This dumb app never works and when it does it takes an exorbitant amount of time to execute a command. By no means should this be considered a “smart” bassinet, quite dumb actually. While the lights on/off works, the music1/music2/nature sounds on/off works, you cannot control the volume, cannot turn the swing motion on, turn it up or down when the swing is already on, and cannot set the swing timer at all. In any of the features I just mentioned that do not work, when you try, it shuts all the current settings off (lights turn off, swing stops, music/sounds stop). Disappointed.

Par for the course these days with most apps. Well thought out idea that’s poorly executed or maintained. I’m on a 6S with current iOS using 4-in-1 Cradle Swing. The app allows me to remotely turn on/off music. It will not permit me to adjust nor activate the swing/speed. All I can do is turn it off. Which is good. But, give me full functionally. What’s the point of a half functioning app.?!

I loveD this app. I find it such a convenient feature of these products. I normally used my iPhone to control everything but I recently got an Apple Watch and was pleasantly surprised when I saw this app on it. After using just once I loved the app even more. Opening the app to see the message “somebody is already connected” is the most useless thing. Of course somebody is already connected. I'm getting ready for my baby, due dec 14, and I got the rock n play. So far I love it! We'll see how baby likes it in a couple weeks. I'm not very pleased with the app. The instructions seem very simple and easy to follow. Download the app, select your FP item and hold the power button down on the rocker for 5 seconds and it should pair. Well, I've been messing with this for a while and it's not connecting. I've made sure my Bluetooth is on and I'm connected to house wifi. So I hope FP gets this fixed soon. It would be a nice feature to have. However, the buttons on the rocker work great! I do like the songs that are on the app that I can play for baby on the go.

When I first downloaded the app, I was excited because I thought it used WiFi to connect my phone to the sleeper. Instead, it uses Bluetooth. Bluetooth has a range of 6 feet, which entirely defeats the purpose. If I'm already going to be 6 feet away from the sleeper, I'll just press the button myself. Use Wifi, Fisher-Price.

I am getting very frustrated with the time out feature. No matter how long I set the timer for (I need continuous because once the rock n play stops moving and playing music my daughter wakes up) it turns off after only 10 minutes. This needs to be fixed as soon as possible! It's hard enough to get her to sleep, but having to do it several times a night is just ridiculous.

It disconnects and says out of range always when we need/want it especially first thing every morning. Really thought this would be great but considering every time I want to use it I have to walk into the nursery and turn it on, it defeats the purpose! When it works I like the night light setting, however as it's only controlled by the app... and the app never works, it's a downward spiral. I hope FP fixes it, but assume they're laughing to the bank on this one.

My issue is that my last setting before receiving the update had it time out after only 10 minutes. Ten minutes is just too short of a time for my daughter and as soon as the mobile stops she wakes up completely and we have to start the process all over again. I love the app prior to this latest update. Please fix it!!!

My man & I decided to put everything up. I’m due in 3 more weeks so we started setting everything up for our baby. I put this swing set on my registry because I’m obsessed with owls and I just loved it. Got it on my baby shower. The app seemed like a cool feature but I honestly didn’t care about it. I don’t mind hitting the buttons manually. But I decided to download the app and test it out considering the comments before the little one arrives. I don’t know if there’s a glitch or what but the swing went on full speed on its own, you lower it and it goes back to full speed within a few mins. Rocker was going crazy lol not sure that’s safe while the baby is in the chair. I’ve tested it about 10 times to see if anything would change but nope. Other then that the swing is beautiful and it works fine manually. I suggest if you buy the swing, not to use the app. At least not till they fix it, obviously something is off since everyone is having trouble with the app. Like I said, I don’t mind doing it manually but for those moms who are looking to connect to phone, this might not be it. Hoped this helped..

This app frustrates me. It works well and has great features (music on the go) but just when you start to like it, it reminds you why it’s awful. Having the option of timers for the white noise and movement is great - what is not great is when the app goes rogue and decides to shut it off, waking your baby and making you want to cry. I never use a timer, only choosing continuous since using the product. However, it will randomly set a 30 minute timer, and I have no idea why. Why can’t continuous be the default setting? Please stop doing this to parents!

Love this idea and use it regularly for my infant. I like the range of settings you can do for timers (30min, 6”mins, Continuous...etc) and levels of speed and volume. My challenge with it is, it looses connection almost daily and I am having to constantly reconnect so when I often need it, it’s not available and I have to resync. Most often I push the buttons manually and with my hands full with baby and the other hand pushing buttons my phone is not near to resync. So not as smooth and useful as it could be it the app would stay connected.

App has always worked perfectly for me! I see all the reviews where people have problems. I have an old IPhone 5S still running iOS 10. Absolutely loved being able to control the rock n play from my phone which meant not getting out of bed & minimal sleep disruption!!! Baby slept in it every night for over 3 months. App always worked.

It’s nice that the rock and play can be controlled by an app on the phone, however, the app seems very primitive. It would be nice if you could set the volume to your desired setting when the sound is off. Instead, if the volume was last on high, you end up blasting your baby awake when you go to turn the sound on. It just seems like the app needs more fine tuning and could use an update to be more parent friendly.

I got the device because of the “WiFi” feature. I thought it would nice to be able to turn it on and off, and change features without having to actually go in my sons room without waking him up. However, it’s connected maybe 3 times since having it, and I’ve had the device for about 7 months now. It’s not like I have a big house and I’m a ways away from his room, my living room is literally right next to his room and it doesn’t connect. It won’t even connect standing at his door. Just a huge disappointment all around.

The old app wouldn't push the firmware update but the new app does and that fixes any volume control issues. I love having the ability to tweak the volume, lights or mobile movement all without going into the baby's room! Huge plus! This is a great idea, product execution. A++

I'm getting really sick of the firmware update pop ups when, every time I try to update, there are always errors and the update can never finish. Let's try making sure your updates actually work before you incessantly try to make us download them. Five stars otherwise.
Time out...

I am getting very frustrated with the time out feature. No matter how long I set the timer for (I need continuous because once the rock n play stops moving and playing music my daughter wakes up) it turns off after only 10 minutes. This needs to be fixed as soon as possible! It's hard enough to get her to sleep, but having to do it several times a night is just ridiculous.

This rock n play has been a lifesaver and it’s even better that it connects to your phone! Being able to set the sounds and rocking all night has been what’s helped my baby sleep for hours on end! We recommended the app rock n play to two of our friends already!

Until we lost power this worked well. However after power was restored to home, I couldn't get it to pair again. So I uninstalled the app and reinstalled, but the deluxe rock and play was no longer an option. I installed on my second iPhone and it was perfectly fine. It's the same version of iOS and the app, yet have different product options. Totally disappointing that I cannot get it to work on my primary iPhone anymore.

I loveD this app. I find it such a convenient feature of these products. I normally used my iPhone to control everything but I recently got an Apple Watch and was pleasantly surprised when I saw this app on it. After using just once I loved the app even more. Imagine my disappointment when this last upgrade took away the app for the Apple Watch! Please bring this feature back!! It makes this app so much better.

While the lights on/off works, the music1/music2/nature sounds on/off works, you cannot control the volume, cannot turn the swing motion on, turn it up or down when the swing is already on, and cannot set the swing timer at all. In any of the features I just mentioned that do not work, when you try, it shuts all the current settings off (lights turn off, swing stops, music/sounds stop). Disappointed.
If it worked when we needed it it would be great

It disconnects and says out of range always when we need/want it especially first thing every morning. Really thought this would be great but considering every time I want to use it I have to walk into the nursery and turn it on, it defeats the purpose! When it works I like the night light setting, however as it's only controlled by the app... and the app never works, it's a downward spiral. I hope FP fixes it, but assume they're laughing to the bank on this one.

The app is perfectly fine. I been trying to connect the swing to the app and getting upset that the swing wasn't available for me to pick. Not realizing all I had to do was move the other items over and the swing was next and ready to sync. I love this swing and the app

Like other reviewers, the app only turns the lights and sounds on and off but doesn’t work when attempting to turn on the swing or adjust speed. Also stops all function if you try so we just don’t use it. Seems this has been an issue for a long time with this product, hopefully they fix at some point for others wanting to buy but I wouldn’t recommend if you want this swing for just the smart connection capabilities.

Product: Deluxe Soother I downloaded and opened the Smart Connect app and held the power button down on the Deluxe Soother to sync as instructed, but it took several minutes for the device to connect to the app. Maybe if you add a statement like, “Connecting to device, please wait a few minutes,” as it is syncing, that would help customers understand that the device is working, that would help. Once the app is synced to the device, it is a simple but intuitive user interface, and it works well.

So I unpacked, assembled, and was fully operational in about 20 minutes. Download was easy and the app worked as expected. No complaints. Absolutely no issue with connectivity that some others had commented about.
Multiple users make it near impossible to use properly.

Please for the love of all things holy, make it so that opening the app gives you primary control of the device. Opening the app to see the message “somebody is already connected” is the most useless thing. Of course somebody is already connected. Her name is my wife and she’s not in this room right now or else she’d be making the thing rock.

Par for the course these days with most apps. Well thought out idea that’s poorly executed or maintained. I’m on a 6S with current iOS using 4-in-1 Cradle Swing. The app allows me to remotely turn on/off music. It will not permit me to adjust nor activate the swing/speed. All I can do is turn it off. Which is good. But, give me full functionally. What’s the point of a half functioning app.?!

Haven’t put the baby in yet (she’s not due for a few more weeks) but the app connects and works great. Initially had trouble connecting but it was because my Bluetooth wasn’t enabled on my phone. After I enabled Bluetooth it connected immediately!

Worked GREAT until I got the iPhone7 and even updated firmware. I deleted and reinstalled app and now it won't connect at all to phone. Only plus is the music on the go that we can use in the car. Someone needs to step up their game on the updates ASAP.

I don’t know why but I can’t control anything with the app. My phone is connected, I can see what is playing and all the settings but I can do nothing. If I want to turn up or down the volume because my other son is crying and I want to cover the sound by turning it up I just can’t. It is so frustrating... it’s too bad because that was why I purchased it, to control it with my phone.

I was gifted the smart connect swing and I was so excited to use the app because I’m a week post c-section so getting up to change a setting is painful. But I’m stuck doing so anyway because the minute I change the music on the app or switch the lights on or off the rocking stops and the rocking option on the app does not work at all.

I love being able to control the swing from my phone, especially since I have twins!! However, after upgrading to the new iOS 9 the app crashes and will not open...please fix!!!

Anytime we turn the music on, it immediately turns back to white noise. The app does not stay on what is selected. I have tried to select it on the mobile itself and again it changes. Just recently updated the firmware to see if that made a difference and it has not.

No longer supports the swing. We bought the swing because we were able to connect it to our iPhones and control it however the app no longer supports this. This app is terrible and a waste of space now on my phone. The swing it's self works great but thinking about selling it now that it no longer connects to the app and will buy something else not made by fisher price.

I used to love this app. I’ve been using it for around 3 years now. It worked beautifully until recently. There was an update and then it said there was a firmware update and now my mobiles disconnect on me within a few hours. It’s useless if I can’t turn it on for my daughter when she wakes up and just needs to be distracted. Please fix. My children love their mobiles!
No Longer Works For Rock N Play

We have had the Rock N Play since our daughter was born and it worked great. Now with these “safety concerns”, the app functionality for the rock N play has been removed. I can understand putting a notification on the app regarding the recall and safety concerns but, there are sod of us that follow the proper safety precautions that would like to continue using the product.

I coupled a device that broke and I replaced it. Now I coupled with the new one, but the old one still shows in the app and there is no way to remove it. Missing function.

His would be a neat app if it worked. I have a cradle n connect swing and you cannot adjust the swing speed using the app at all. Everything else seems to work fine except the swing speed and save settings. Considering the review history on this app I don’t expect the developers to fix it, which is a shame.

When I first downloaded the app, I was excited because I thought it used WiFi to connect my phone to the sleeper. Instead, it uses Bluetooth. Bluetooth has a range of 6 feet, which entirely defeats the purpose. If I'm already going to be 6 feet away from the sleeper, I'll just press the button myself. Use Wifi, Fisher-Price.

This app worked fine until I downloaded the iOS 9 update, it now crashes over and over or doesn't even let me open the app. I've re-started my device many times and re-downloaded the app a few times also and nothing has stopped it from crashing, please fix asap!
Swing keeps disappearing from app

The swing was a gift to us. We loved it because of the app so we could control it without disturbing the baby. However, the swing settings in app keep disappearing!!! If we had known this was going to happen all the time I'd have chosen another swing to put on our registry instead of this one! Not impressed at all!

Update App to work with iPhone 7. All the features look great if it would work. Connects but only able to turn light on & sounds/songs etc. when I adjust volume it shuts down & swing doesn’t react at all to app.

Unfortunately this is useless. It connects just fine but none of the controls but the lights work. Extremely annoying and it doesn’t seem like they are doing much to fix it.

The app made me update and now it makes me manually connect (hold down the power button) to the rock n play almost every day which is not easy to do when you have a sleeping baby in your arms. It was not like this before the update. Please fix.

Works exactly how it's intended for and will probably preserve the buttons on the rocker itself from wear and tear in the long run. Wife and I both love it.

Had 2 deluxe models that connected, but had electrical issues. "Upgraded" to the Premium Model and now it won't connect. My Wife and I both have iPhone 7 +. Please fix this issue ASAP...lots of $$ spent for a key feature to not work.

The app is terrible. Connection to device takes minutes each time or never connects at all. If you enjoy listening to your child scream while you try to get the app to connect to your phone, this is the product for you.

Bought this rocker specifically because it lets you play your songs from iTunes on the rocker through the app but when we tried actually syncing the app to do this it won’t work! 😑 It just plays the songs on your phone.......
