I need help with my Tidal app
by BlueWing92 on 2019/09/17 20:25
My Tidal app just all of a sudden just wont let me stream any of the music on here. I don’t know what’s the deal with that. But what what am I paying for my subscription and I can’t even enjoy it? Why is it not letting me play any music? Every time I try to play a song it says “ Unable to get audio stream” What does that mean?
Best source for high end sound!
by Scudman on 2019/09/17 18:23
I just purchased a new stereo system and the first thing I wanted to do was upgrade the music sources since MP3 was not cutting it for me anymore. With a pair of B&W 702s and a new Denon AVR-4500H, is wasn’t scrimping on the equipment and I certainly wasn’t going to scrimp on the sound sources anymore so when I found Tidal, I jumped headfirst and amped up to be able to get MQA files, both streaming and downloading. Ran into a little snag though and that was the iPhone wouldn’t send MQA files wirelessly so kept digging and ended up purchasing a Cobalt Dragonfly DAC and connected it to the iPhone via their lightning camera kit to allow the Dragonfly to connect via USB. I then connected it to my amp with a mini jack coming out of the Dragonfly and split to a pair of RCA outlets into an analog connection. Cooking now! Fantastic sound!! My only complaint is that a friend sent me a playlist with about 2000 songs on it and it’s too unwieldy to scroll through. I’ve downloaded all the songs via the playlist but can’t find them outside of the playlist. No new Albums or Artists show up, just the one playlist. Tidal, please fix this!
Amazing App

Sound quality
by jaykek on 2019/09/16 02:47
I can download music from youtube to a wav converter on my MacBook pro which sounds so much clearer than tidal mqa. The wav audio is so much crispier and cleaner than tidals and qobuz app. If you can bring wav audio for 24bit or just wav audio that would be awesome. 20 dollars a month for flac audio ? Its okay. But ill just stick with downloading music from youtube to a wav converter. After my free tidal subscription is over. But tidal drains my battery. Good app tho.

‘My Collection’ is really a mess
by cikobear on 2019/09/13 19:44
I still don’t understand why Tidal won’t allow us to save JUST some tracks from one album. For example if I want to add 5 songs from an album which has 10 songs, I really need to download them all and waste my phone storage for the songs I don’t even want to listen. The sound quality might be one of the best for streaming services but they need to hire someone who really understand about UI and UX. Cons: - We can’t save JUST few song from one album. - Track menu on ‘My Collection’ has no alphabetical scrubbing on the right side, I mean what if we added more than 1000 songs we really need to swipe all over to find the exact song. - We are not able to change the Playlist Cover, not even from Desktop App. - No sharing playlist features. - We need couple taps just to add songs to our collection rather than swiping. - There’s no lyric features on now playing. Hope Tidal will consider this as a review and be more better music streaming services.
CHARGING ME $75 NOT EVEN USING IT
by jesic@ on 2019/09/13 12:47
This app has been charging me 75$ and I haven’t used it once, ever since I got this phone I don’t remember if I downloaded or it was already there. It has been charging me 75$ every month since December, I didn’t notice till today, looking my bill to see why was it so expensive. I will call sprint to see why my membership can’t be cancelled. There is no refund, so I been wasting $75 since last year and I haven’t opened that app since December, thief's.
Thank you
by Playgirl Kk on 2019/09/13 11:11
All my music in one location.... I absolutely would never go back to how I streamed my music before.
Terrible cancellation practices
by TrunchableJr on 2019/09/13 04:07
TIDAL is on the fringe of refund policies (think ca. 2002 Best Buy return policies) with its draconian and unfriendly customer service attitude towards ending a subscription. I see a class action in their near future, suffice to say they have designed an app that makes everything somewhat logical except for cancelling the subscription in a timely manner - it’s gross and outdated.
Awesome audio quality
by mmmmmmmiiiikkkkkkkeeeee on 2019/09/13 04:04
By far the best quality sound. Many albums are master quality. Brings new life to classic Beatles and many other artists. Highly recommended!
I love the app and everything it offers but....
by keals1995 on 2019/09/13 02:37
I love the app the sound quality the layout the endless song choices but my biggest problem is that I’m paying 20 a month for my music to keep buffering or not playing every time I play in master or hifi mode and it’s not tidal it’s self or my service because I have T-Mobile magenta plan and plus up data and 3 service lines 2 iPhones and a cheap very low end android use for back up and the app plays perfectly fine on my android no skips buffering what so ever but on my iPhone my god I tell you it’s hell pls do something about this apple pls!!!!!!

Tidal
by Blazayblazay123 on 2019/09/12 16:46
I love Tidal. It’s completely different than all other music apps. When I originally got it the layout wasn’t as easy as other formats , but it grows on you because now I dislike all other music apps. I like how they tell you all new music that’s been released every single day and tidal members have access to a lot festivals live stream. It’s worth every penny.
Love the app BUT
by Ecoleman356 on 2019/09/12 16:30
Love Tidal, but the music is always stopping for no reason and saying its being played from another device even though no one else is using the app. I have a family of 3 and I feel as if everyone should be able to enjoy the app at the same time ESPECIALLY if you have the Family Plan. Also I’ve tried downloading my favorites and it doesn’t full add the entire playlist. I’ve tried deleting the app and reinstalling but it doesn’t help. Very frustrating....and there’s no way to contact Tidal and speak to a live person about our issues. NO BUENO...
EQUALIZER

Great app just one request
by Raycean on 2019/09/12 09:10
I just ended my subscription with Apple Music because I love this app and how it streams. The live music concert is a great and I love the TV episodes. The only request I would make is like Apple make the radio stations easier to get to. If I create a radio station on TIDAL once I close the app I cannot go back to the station that I created. That’s the only flaw that I see with the app, Once that is changed, this app would be perfect.
Mediocre at best
by DaddyDell117 on 2019/09/12 00:23
To start with, the recommendations are garbage. I just want to listen to the music I want, not what you think I’ll want. I have yet to find a way for it to not play “clean” versions of songs. You know how annoying it is to be on a run and to have a good Eminem song come on, and to have the whole vibe of the song to be ruined with pauses and bleeps? It’s horrible. I don’t want a clean song. It’s hard enough to differentiate the two on the player, you have to scroll down a menu to see the song in the explorer to find out with the little “E” for explicit. When I like a song, I favorite it and then put it in a playlist (so that I know I already added it). After liking a song, a pop up shows up blocking the button to add it to a playlist. So it in total takes about 5-7 seconds to add a song to a playlist. That is if it responds while in the playlist selection screen. Often times it just shows you all the playlists and you can’t select one. I’ve had to close the app and reopen it a few times in just this last session because of on screen glitches making the “add to playlist” spot unselectable at all. The music quality itself is fine. With some songs you can select “high” which does sound a lot better. I have a hard time finding all the songs I want, however. Bottom line, if it didn’t come with my phone plan, I wouldn’t have tidal at all.
Used to be GREAT. Updates destroyed it
by BJM2395 on 2019/09/12 00:15
Used to be able to reorder/rearrange songs that were playing next kind of like a quick playlist without having to create one. Made for a great impromptu vibe session. Now you’re forced to either make a playlist or choose each song individually to play them next. The update also clears your queue as you move to different playlists or albums which is aggravating if you decide to you want to go back to a quick song sequence you may have created on the spot. I initially went with tidal due to how much more they offer artists per stream. But I still need a app that works for the way I listen to music. These updates really have me considering a new streaming service because it no longer serves my music selection style.
Double charges
by Cheakyyj on 2019/09/11 19:12
Be careful how you download the app and create an account somehow it made 2 accounts on my phone and I was paying double for 2 years until I realized and they did not want to refund me
Really impressed
by nobleatl on 2019/09/11 08:16
They have a wide collection and with their deal with sprint I’ve been hooked. Only downside is some albums incomplete because they didn’t get all the permissions from labels never heard of that on no other app. But that’s the only flaw
MQA is a game-changer
by Aaron0602 on 2019/09/11 07:48
The Masters-Quality albums out through a Dragonfly Black sound incredible. My only question is what is the output resolution of the lightning to 3.5mm dongle? Is it true MQA 96/24?
Best audio but a poor app
by Shofear497 on 2019/09/11 03:52
Master and HiFi only work on WIFI. Superior audio by far. If you are an audiophile this is great. Good for a quality home Audio system. I’ve got $30k in a stereo audio system and the hifi/master audio is great. I’ve got better sources but not with as much available. Searching is poor (Apple is much better). Recommendations as poor (Spotify is WORLDS better)
Bad UX. Offline mode is terrible and broken
by octopus jones on 2019/09/10 16:13
The content is usually very good. They are missing a lot of music and that makes it tough to completely switch from other streaming services. The lossless quality is a great thing. I listen with HiFi equipment so this is a big deal for me. I do have some issues with the apps and the UX. The whole thing seems half baked. Navigating the app is not as simple as it should be. Especially in offline mode. I was on a plane recently and about half of my downloaded songs would not play. It said that they weren't downloaded even though I know that they were. When I got back to WiFi I was able to check and the app did say that they were downloaded. This is a very frustrating and serious bug. Tidal charges twice what anyone else does for music streaming and the Tidal app isn't half as good as their competition. I'm not sure what to do other than write a review since their support doesn't seem to communicate with the dev team. I really want to keep using this product but with the bugs, missing music and broken offline mode, I am reconsidering paying $20 per month for Tidal. I hope this finds you well and that you consider an overhaul of the development process.
🤩🤩🤩
by baka girls on 2019/09/10 01:21
Honestly this app is amazing you have so many songs but there are a few that I can’t find you even my favorite YouTubers songs on it ( I’ll leave your to find out since there are a a ton of songs from YouTubers in here ) well any way keep up the good work and love your app that’s it !!!!!!😁
Honest Opinion
by Kix Geek on 2019/09/09 22:22
I liked Apple Music for its simplicity and massive music catalog but something always seemed to be missing. I originally had no interest in buying another subscription based music app but after using the free trail for awhile I would happily recommend TIDAL to any and everyone. I love that once you choose a song the algorithm actually chooses other songs that compliment the flow and mood of the song you originally choose and not just play the same artist repeatedly. This has actually introduced me to some artists I did have an interest on listening to at first and other I had never heard of. Not to mention listening to music on Master quality makes a serious difference from you usual jam sessions. I have to give it to TIDAL for advancing the streaming game to the next level and hope it continues to grow.
Great service, Selection, Quality
by FixtionFXR on 2019/09/09 20:48
Exceptional quality and music selection. The search feature is rather strict and doesn’t allow for misspellings or errors. The price for HiFi is, well rather high. Be sure to apply for the 50% student discount or the ThirdMan Records promotion to lower the cost. Enjoy!
Much better than ITunes

Just a couple complaints
by quintin77777 on 2019/09/07 15:44
1) I wish the desktop app and my phone app could sync so I can pick up where I left off, but the 2 don’t seem to communicate at all. 2) The mixes play the same songs every time I listen, songs get old very quickly this way.
Really enjoying it
by precor on 2019/09/07 00:55

by @justcallmenas on 2019/09/05 13:52
Was so excited about the adding to stories feature but was disappointed when I realized there’s no audio! Update with audio please! *** On the play queue can you guys change the ‘x’ for deleting to a swipe? It’s really hard to delete a song in the queue without accidentally changing the track*** I've been using Tidal for about 4 years now?! I pay for my subscription though their website to save some money on taxes. I've seen lots of changes for the better and can't wait to see what else they do. I am really hoping they make this an online community soon! I want all users to have profiles so I can find my musical matches. I also want to see what celebs are listening too more in depth, I should mention I love the exclusive playlists! I think Tidal is great and I'm hoping to plan some business ventures with them in the future!
I give nothing 5 stars!

Menu screens are cluttered
by nillava on 2019/09/04 14:13
I feel it’s hard to navigate certain music. Unlike amazon I feel the navigation is clunky or cluttered. When I am at a stop sign I want to be able to pick and choose music quickly. If I “skip” a few songs in a row the app will buffer preventing me to pausing or doing anything else. Let me pause, so I can buffer. I go through Sprint so I am not sure if it’s the connection or what but there should be no buffering. I’m not at the hi def.

I switched from Spotify to Tidal because I get Tidal for free through Sprint. It is solid. It has a large library. There is one artist I like that they don’t have which is disappointing, and it can be slow to load music at times. I would like to see song recommendations to add to personally created playlists.

Wrong day charged
by Mrafaelz on 2019/08/30 16:27
I had a subscription for 3 months due the t-mobile Tuesdays. They charged the monthly subscription before it expires, even I was on time yet. To be clear they charged on 29th where they are suppose to charge on 30th. The answer from the team was "the charge day may vary" and they were unable to process the refund. Is that company who is trying to grow up between Deezer and Spotify? They also charged my wife and my brother in law for the same reason. Be carefull guys!
Joke of a Service
by M8Heezy on 2019/08/30 13:57
Charge multiple times a month from different platforms. I signed up for the $9.99 plan but get charged that by iTunes and then $12.99 from Tidal all in the same month. I cancelled my account over a month because of this and they still continue to try and charge me. Can’t get ahold of their support dept because they will only allow you to email them and then wait days before you get an answer, if they even answer at all.

GREAT but missing one feature...
by lololololjddvh on 2019/08/30 02:25
Switching from Spotify to Tidal and I already noticed a difference in the sound quality. I’m a musician and love to listen to all types of music. My ears has been trained to pick up the slightest pitches of notes. It has everything that Spotify has but more. The one “complaint” that I have with it is the inability to create a collaborative playlist. One feature that Spotify has over Tidal but I’m sure Tidal will make it happen soon.

Direct through tidal you will pay five dollars less per month than through the iOS App Store! Apple wants a cut of the pie and a BIG ONE! I’m getting tired of apple ..

I mean the app does a pretty good job and all that. My phone carrier pays my plan for this app so I’m chilling but theirs two reasons why I don’t like this app as much as Spotify. 1. It randomly adds song to your playlist which it gets me annoyed 2. You guys should add a base booster or something like that so you can change the tones like how your allowed in Spotify. If you guys can at least add that to the app then if you this at all times but at the moment it stays like this

App Freezes - Debit Card Charged But No Product
by Swtnic1 on 2019/08/25 02:50
I’ve had Tidal for a while and was happy until my debit card was stolen and I had to update pymt. info. When I updated my info. through Apple and attempted to manage my subscription the card was charged but I couldn’t and still can’t get anything to play anymore. The message my session has timed out freezes up repeatedly. When I attempt to press OK the app sends me into an infinite loop of no music and frustration!
Great app

I questioned this app but it has been great and would recommend this to everyone

I personally don’t like the layout and it does not have 1 10th of the music I listen to. It is also hard to find the music you listen to more often. I like YouTube and Apple Music better.
Game Changing

Tidal has not only made it easier for me to find new music, it does so with a well designed interface and excellent music quality. Has changed my relationship with music. Love it.
Great for streaming on good speakers and keeping up with new music
by Bookgur on 2019/08/23 07:47
The audio quality option is great for getting a rich sound when streaming at home on quality speakers (especially for albums with Master audio). Also good for keeping music from buffering when your internet connection isn’t as good on the go by bumping the quality down to high or normal. The home page keeps me updated on new albums from artists I love and ones I haven’t listened to yet. I like that they don’t just promote whoever is at the top of the charts that week but actually tailor recommendations to the stuff I wanna hear. All in all, great streaming platform that’s giving the other streaming devices a run for their money. Highly recommend for hip-hop heads.

MQA content now available(with 1 issue). Tidal is a must have!
by Pmdagg on 2019/04/02 02:04
I have had tidal for about 10 months now and I’ve gotten the most out of what apple offered when it comes to streaming HiFi music. One thing that was a small disappointment with the iOS app before was the inability to play MQA (Masters) content. The only way to utilize MQA content was via my MacBook Air desktop app. Today I was fooling around with the app settings and noticed that Tidal updated the app in version 2.7 to allow iPhone users the ability to listen to MQA content. I assumed this wasn’t ever going to happen due to apple’s hardware. Well now this app, which already deserves 5 stars(apples problem not tidal) has made it a must have service for Audiofile music lovers like myself. Listening to Tidal MQA music on the iPhone X with my sennheiser HD600’s through apples USB camera adapter connecting with my audio quest dragonfly red finally gives iPhone users the desired music quality they deserve. There’s not an IOS app that I’m aware of that allows better than CD quality streaming than Tidal. It’s now worth every penny spent! The only problem is that not all MQA content downloads as MQA. Some so, some don’t Oh yea, if your a military veteran you can sign up for a discounted monthly offer for the top notch account that saves you $4 a month. Thanks Tidal!
Pleasantly surprised
by Iphone 007 on 2019/03/14 11:47
I’m a mastering engineer so as you can my expectations were high for sound quality. I knew the HiFi $20/month would sound better than any other streaming service but I didn’t want to pay that much right now. So I decided to test the premium version (320kbps) against Spotify’s Extreme version (320kbps) and to my surprise Tidal was cleaner, more depth, and overall changed my experience. I am now sold to Tidal until the competition decides to raise their music quality to at least match Tidal’s premium. Tidal still has some work to do to match Spotify’s features like blocking explicit tracks and better integration with other systems like Alexa. And one of the most annoying things about Tidal for me was the constant push of hip hop in your face. I got over it once I started to play more what I liked. The home screen improved a lot after that. But if you’re serious about sound quality and still hesitating spending $20 a month don’t because their $10 version beats any other $10 service.

I started selling high end audio equipment back in the 90s, to me the popularity signaled the end of the high end audio Industry and the backlash of consumers against record companies for producing and supporting music distribution mediums that wore out, or scratched easily. I should have known better that people would help move file based music into the hi-fi so many of us cling too. Supported by this trend, I signed up for Tidal with a hi-fi account. The sound quality does come through, and my Oppo application usually works with Tidal, that about where my satisfaction with Tidal ends. First UX, what year is it? Offline sorting, display of albums, vs artist and general navigation smack of early 2000s expect the availability of modern program languages reveal either the incompetence of Tidal’s product team or they have outsourced their UX to a bank. Customer support is impossible to contact. The last time I tried, their wasn’t any authentication between the app my account and their ticketing system, so each time I wrote a ticket and submitted it, I got a message saying I wasn’t authorized. I unsuccessfully emailed and took to Twitter, none of the channels replied. What a dismal and useless waste of money. I consider this a major management failure. Good luck, when you are selling for pennies on the dollar refer to this review. Make your customers happy and they won’t have to lower their gaze when people ask why they are using Tidal in public.
App review: Great but needs essential updates!
by Ing on 2019/06/15 03:33
Ok, Tidal gets a lot right... sounds great, especially the MQA stuff ... closest to analog I’ve heard thus far (HiFi tier only)... I’d give their service 4 stars, it’s the app I give 3...the app misses because there’s no easy way to search when you are in offline mode, which is a must do when trying to make sure you don’t waste data downloading hi-res files! Need shuffle within artist, better playlist controls... maybe even a toggle for making sure it only downloads over WiFi? I don’t know, I like Tidal a lot, especially after my iTunes library was messed up due to its inherently flawed “matching” system... obviously there is no matching abilities with Tidal at all, the draw for me is having a separate rental app and having my iTunes library synced from my Mac Pro without “matching” deciding to match random tracks with different masters from the album a track is originally from or screwing up my cover art... anyway, the MQA and full resolution downloads make Tidal is very very realistic and tempting alternative for the long haul for music rental. Wish the desktop version allowed downloads for offline listening too... Random missing albums are an issue too... why certain albums aren’t available is odd especially if an artist is on Tidal and the album isn’t that old...
My Only Problems
by rocavija on 2018/03/22 01:08
I've been a dedicated Apple Music user for years but I'm looking for a change so I created a trial account and so far I've been loving it! Most music streaming services are similar so there really isn't anything revolutionary about another streaming service, it's all about preference. Tidal is a great service that provides a great app, but I have three problems with the app and web browser that are making the service difficult to fully enjoy. I don't like that it's not possible to save specific tracks of an album as ONE album, instead they save as "tracks" as a seperate category. I'm a neat freak so I like oragnization and that method of seperateing between tracks and albums is inconvenient. There should be a page for albums (you can save any tracks you want from the album) and there should be a tracks page where ALL the songs in your library are shown and there should be the option to play ALL the tracks on shuffle, or in order, etc. I also don't like that there isn't an option to organize albums by artist AND release date. The first and problem is far more important to me than the second one. I hope Tidal would make this change, if they do, they'll have a subscriber for life.

I absolutely love this streaming service! I have a very eclectic mind and listen to everything from Disney to Country to Pop to Rap, and most genres in between. One thing that I would love to see on here though is the option to search in your own playlist. I have almost 2,000 songs on my “Everyday” playlist, and it can be daunting to scroll and try to remember what number the song was. To make this easier as well, if there was a way to put artists/songs in alphabetical order from a cell phone on your individual playlist, that would be helpful. Even if a search option isn’t in the near future. I know that it is possible from a PC but I haven’t been able to on my phone. One feature that was added that I am extremely grateful for, was the “duplicate” feature. Some songs I hear on the radio, think to add them on my playlist, and before I wouldn’t know that it was already on there, but now I do! It was just in the mix of the 2,000 that I already have. All in all, I love the service/app and will (and do) recommend it to anyone that asks what I use.
5 stars is not enough!!!!!!!&
by moorejason1981 on 2019/05/06 22:44
Tidal app is what I spent most of my time on. Far as I know they have everything but Tool. I’m sure it’s not cause Tidal forgot. Tidal when playing MASTER QUALITY sounds better than any streaming app I ever wasted my time on. Not all albums or artist are in MQA. But I love seeing that (M) beside a track or by an album. I’m so glad ISO finally got MQA. I knew they was working on it and the day I could play Tidal on my new iPhone XS Max an email was sent and I been blown away by every update and the awesome interface and of course all the music you can search for. Make sure you know they spelling of the band or you may think Tidal doesn’t have it. But sure enough they do. Do yourself all a favor go on and get Tidal HIFI/MQA!!! It’s the one that cost more. Not premium that one is not the best one. It’s still good but spend a few bucks more and listen to the sound!!!!!!!!! Can’t say enough. Jammin right now!!!!!’ Tidal is hands down the best app on my iPhone to date. Thank you to everybody at Tidal!!!!!
Search Issues?
by tillyrg on 2019/08/22 13:28
This is definitely my favorite music streaming app. I love how seamless it is to access an entire album, an artists discography and the credits. I have a couple points of improvement though. First of all; the search functionality. It seems that you need to be extremely precise a in order for the app to find the song you want. For example I searched “Love happy Carters” (searching for LOVEHAPPY THE CARTERS) and the the actual track I wanted was no where to be seen. I feel the algorithm is lacking in predicting what the user is searching for. Secondly, why is the same album posted so many times in an artists discography? It seems that there are 2 explicit albums and 2 clean versions per album. There are so many duplicates it gets frustrating to scroll through. I know, first world problems. But still if feel like the duplicates are unnecessary for both the user and the tidal servers and it should be possible to remove them with ease. Great app nonetheless.
No streaming over cellular (AT&T)
by Jordaaaannnnn on 2018/07/13 14:41
Streaming music on cellular data hasn’t worked for over a month. All my friends and family with TIDAL have this same problem. I like TIDAL and have been trying to justify still paying for it, but at this point I’ve gotta switch to a different service. I reached out to customer support via email to ask how to fix this problem or how to get a refund, and it took 10 days before they responded and asked for my account info. I sent them back my info and a reiteration of the problem. It’s been 2 weeks with no response. I l want to support TIDAL, but they’re not allowing me to use the service they purport to provide (streaming music.) Since they’re not selling me a product, I suppose I’m just giving the company a monthly donation. It’s obvious that they know about the problem but haven’t figured out how to fix it. They’ve released several updates without addressing the problem that MANY users have brought to their attention. When I brought the problem to their attention via email they stopped responding. Again, I’d prefer to be a customer, not a donor. Unfortunately, as of right now, I’m a donor because TIDAL does not offer any service that can be used or consumed.
Updates
by Codith Brown on 2019/01/09 17:10
Love the app. Love the selection of music. Love the features like interviews, concerts, playlists and the ability to download content. Love the fact that this service shares more revenue with the artist. A few updates I would like to see in the future is the option to download singles/stand alone songs. The only way to download as of now is when the single is attached to an album. Also, it would be nice to close the app, reopen the app and still have my content in the same position it was in before it closed. If the app closes for any amount of time, I have to go in an find the album I was listening to all over again. Maybe Tidal can be installed directly to a device, like “apple music” is and that way Tidal can work as a mechanism of the phone instead of just a web based app. This would help with functionality a lot. Like I said, LOVE the app. I will continue my subscription. Just my two cents.
Music keeps randomly stopping
by jft.atl on 2018/10/25 00:00
Been using Tidal for a while with no complaints, mostly would like to see some improvements to app like lyrics, but I’m patient and understand it might take a second to implement..Anyways for whatever reason since I updated a version or two ago, my music will not always play and sometimes it’ll cut off. Or, if I add music to the my Play Queue it will not continue playing always. This is kinda of frustrating as I know it’s not my connection because it used to always play and I have no other data issues besides Tidal randomly cutting off. Also I would love if the search could be improved sometimes you could put the EXACT word-for-word/letter-for-letter song and artist into it, and it still will not show up as some of the top results (Example: “Money” by Cardi B does not show up when searched like “Money Cardi B”, instead it shows up her other song “Money Bag” as well as a few more results from other artists before you can find it, so its a little inconvenient)
Amazing service, great quality, just need a few touch ups
by Mclaren_7 on 2019/04/13 17:41
The service that tidal provides is top notch. After listening to my favorite music for about 10 mins made me realize how great of a product this is. And being a hifi subscriber I have to say it is well worth the money. But having tried many other streaming services I will have to say that the artist section on tidal needs a little work. On other platforms when you download music you can easily just go to the artist section and see all the artist that you listen to. On tidal currently you have to go to the artist profile, like it then the pop up in the artist section. I would just like to go to artist see all the artist I have either liked their profile or downloaded their music. And then I can see all the music by that artist that is in my library and select which album or tracks I want to hear. But overall I like how far tidal has grown in a short time and can’t wait to see where the platform goes next.
Best audio quality of any streaming app!
by Miles Sound Music Productions on 2019/05/21 17:44
As an audio professional I appreciate great sound. I have never been a big fan of the mp3 quality of streaming services. I would still buy CDs and download HI-Res files to get the best audio quality available from an artist. That changed when I discovered TIDAL a few years ago. There is no need for me to buy physical media any longer. I still purchase a CD or Hi-Res file occasionally to support the artists that I really love in some cases though. That being said, with a high end DA converter and sound system playing TIDAl, I’m not missing any of the detail in the music. In a way I feel bad that I’m not paying as much money that goes to the artist, but it has been said TIDAL pays more to the artists than the other services do. So if you really love music, pay a little extra and hear the music the way the artist intended. You will notice a huge difference and you’ll be glad you did.
Amazing AI + Human Curation
by WaveVidz on 2019/05/14 19:05
I’ve tried them all (or just about) and, as someone who refuses to listen to music on the radio because the playlists are so completely lame, I unequivocally have to say that the human and software power behind this service is stunningly good. I have never discovered this amount of stellar, new (to me) music in such a brief time, ever. The curation is fantastic with adventurous, wide ranging playlists to suit any taste while also driving you deeper into new, related sonic territory. The AI is equally impressive as it seamlessly follows up on your listening. Of the new music chosen by the service based on my listening patterns, I’d say 85-90% seriously hit the mark (vs. 10-15% for the other services I’ve tried). I find myself constantly hitting “Add to My Collection” so that I can follower later on what the hell that great tune was. And the audio quality is as good as it gets though it’ll cost you a bit more.
Favorite Music Service By Far...BUT...
by kttuggle on 2017/11/18 17:48
I love just about everything about Tidal. The expansive music library, the exclusive content, the articles, the series, podcasts, videos, live shows...I can get every single thing that I need for my music fix from this app. It’s honestly unmatched. The ONLY complaint that I have is that the “Add to Play Queue” feature doesn’t work correctly when music is already playing. If I’m trying to add an album to my queue to play after the one that’s currently playing, it inserts all of the songs into the middle of the current album’s tracklist instead of starting it after the current album finishes. It drives me CRAZY. It makes the feature essentially the same as the “Play Next” option and it only works correctly when no music is playing. Please, please, PLEASE fix this issue. It’s the only thing keeping Tidal from being a perfect app!
Great music stream app but one mistake is happening
by Aquakidd on 2018/10/06 20:32
Ever since the first couple of updates on the app there’s been a problem with the play queue you put on the right side . I put a bunch of music in the “play next” and “add to play queue”. I use the play queue a lot for new music or just a set of songs I want to use . But now what happens is once a song is finished being played the song completely disappears from the song list on the right . It never used to be like this in the past. The song used to stay in the playlist you made on the right side so I can go back and save the songs I added as playlist. If this doesn’t come back it’s going to be frustrating listening to music. If I add a buck a songs to the queue and I accidentally hit a whole album to play , all the songs I put in the queue completely disappears. In previous versions of the app the songs I put in the play queue would remain there. If there’s any way they fix that problem this app would be 5 stars no question.
TIDAL has changed the way I listen and explore
by RickRickI on 2019/01/11 04:09
TIDAL has been a revelation to me! The sound is terrific over my high-end audio system; and especially over headphones with my Firefly Red and beloved vintage Sennheiser 560iis. But best of all is that I can listen to something, then explore practically forever following threads of the performer, composer, instruments, etc. I listen mainly to classical and jazz, almost never to insanely crappy contemporary pop. I wish the track display for music being played worked better for classical - there's a lot to display in classical: Composer, piece, movement number, movement name, artist - none of the on-line services or iTunes seem to have the display adequately covered. The HD sound is usually as good as CDs played on my Naim CD player, which admittedly is getting pretty old by now. It's best over Firefly/headphones, is a little compromised by Apple AirPlay into the HiFi, haven't tried an outboard DAC yet. But overall it's good enough that I'm about ready to box up and put in storage the probably 1200 CDs that take up a huge amount of our small living space. I'm not very convinced of MQA yet. Some tracks sound really fine; but a lot of others sound "disembodied", a bit veiled, and there are others with what sound like smearing or digital artifacts. Maybe some of it has to do with the Firefly decoding?
Great quality but lacks features
by FayeRichardson on 2017/09/21 18:04
I’m really enjoying the new interface of Tidal. It’s very sleek and modern. And I love the curated playlists. It’s very easy to be able to find new underground artists. However I do have some ideas that could make Tidal a more user friendly streaming service. There should be an option to organize a playlist alphabetically and also to be able to search for a song within a playlist. Another minor annoyance I have is having duplicate songs within a playlist. I wish it would say “This song is already added”. A minor issues I have are the shuffle is usually in the same order so I’m listening to the same songs in that order whenever I listen to that playlist. I also have that same issue with artist radio. Like I already said, these are minor issues, however very useful. Would just like to see them implemented since other streaming services have them as well.
Great exclusive content
by Hawtsperrrrrr on 2019/01/09 23:21
I’m a musician myself, so I chose Tidal after researching and finding it pays the artists the largest percentage of any streaming service. I love Tidal Rising and what it does for upcoming artists and they have some really great exclusive content. Other streaming services just offer artist playlists and things, but Tidal has some very cool exclusive video content that you won’t find competition for anywhere else. My only real complaints have to do with the app itself. As a lot of users have talked about, sorting isn’t easy and it’s frustrating that you have to type EXACTLY what you’re looking for into the search to have hope of finding it. Additionally, there are a lot of duplicate albums and albums assigned to incorrect artist pages because the artists have the same name. I would hope as they gain users, they’ll address these issues.
HiFi Sounds good, but not that much better than Apple
by RockTheProject on 2019/03/19 00:36
I’ve been an Apple subscriber for several years, and I was ready to make the full switch if this app delivered on sound quality, even though I would be paying literally double what I’m paying for Apple. The verdict: I am an Audiophile, and while Tidal’s Master Quality material does sound good, it’s not actually that much better. Not only that, but most artists I listen to didn’t have the Master versions available, which resulted in most albums sounding identical to Apple. I tried it out on my home system and my incredible Bose system in my car, and was not blown away. Furthermore, the app is unbelievably laggy and glitchy. I kept having to restart the app, and even then it wouldn’t work properly most of the time. In the end I cancelled my HiFi subscription within the first hour. Bring the HiFi price down to meet Apple’s prices, and we’ll talk. Until then, Apple still has my business.
Love it
by RockyThorn666 on 2019/05/09 15:33
I absolutely love this app. I had been with Google Play Music for 5 years and I decided to try Tidal (free) for a month. It changed everything. I find myself using Tidal way more. The interface is top notch, even though in the beginning they kept pushing rap and hip hop. I wound up missing it after the trial ended and I don't myself comparing Google Play to Tidal and I yearned to get a subscription. I finally convinced my family members to let me set them up with a Tidal Family subscription. I did it and have been super happy ever since. The sound quality is amazing and the UI is superb. Eventually, the push of rap and hop went away from my home screen as I built my library and the app learned what I liked. Definitely recommend, especially if you have a great car system and great headphones. ♥️♥️♥️
Needs a little improvement
by TheNoireBeauty on 2019/01/08 12:47
The music section for children is severely limited. The app isn't configured to work on the Apple Watch. The app often signs me out and my password doesn't work so I have to reset it over and over again. I may have no choice but to cancel soon if the changes are being updated. *Update* a new update for the app has been lingering. Every time I click on it it takes to the App Store and doesn't update 😠 idk if Apple is try to make it hard for Tidal but my frustrations are mounting. *UPDATE* The app won’t connect via Bluetooth to anything! Every other streaming app works but Tidal. I could be an Apple thing. In my car I can’t plug my phone up to charge & listen to music at the same time. It’s very frustrating. The bypass was Bluetooth. I’ve tried to not charge my phone to listen & that doesn’t work either. The only way I can listen or operate the app is if I listen to it without connecting to anything.
Killing my battery
by Keith80 on 2019/05/17 14:41
FINAL UPDATE: After working with Tidal’s support team, they have given up, replying “there is nothing we can do from our end.” Tidal charges premium prices, but can’t create an app that doesn’t drain my battery from what they refer to as “a constant open network connection.” I guess I’ll check out Amazon’s new high resolution audio plans. ———————- I generally like the audio quality of Tidal, but the app is killing my iPhone battery when no music is playing. I listened to tidal on the way to work yesterday, unplugged it from my car and put it in my pocket. When I noticed my battery draining unusually quickly, I checked the battery report on my phone, and it said tidal had been working in the background for 6 hours! My commute is only 10 minutes! I can verify that it was not downloading any music or playing music while in my pocket. I have background refresh turned off globally on my phone. I hope this problem can be fixed soon, so I don’t have to manually close the app every time I use it. Also, I wish you could download songs to a laptop, not just mobiles. Additionally, it’s ridiculous that you can’t search for mqa content. Furthermore, the whole user interface is kinda of cheap for a product that’s this expensive. UPDATE: I reinstalled the app, which deleted my downloaded songs. Everything worked as expected, with no battery use in the background. Once I downloaded songs, the problem returned, even when the download queue is empty.
Good, almost great
by Luke100680 on 2019/05/06 11:51
I like the app. Missing a few features that I’ve found elsewhere. Making a playlist is too many steps. Have to add songs individually instead of being able to add mass amounts at once. Also if you download a featured playlist or album the songs don’t show up with the rest of your downloaded tracks to play. You either have option to play the album or the group of tracks. So you’d have to download the album then go back and add each track to your collection so it will show up to play with the rest of the individual tracks you’ve downloaded. Fix those few things and easily a 5 star app. As for the service I like the selection and quality of music. I got it as part of a deal thru my carrier but as of now it still isn’t user friendly enough for me to switch over as my main streaming service.
Has more to offer than you thought
by Doubleww.com on 2018/11/08 16:34
A lot of folks ask how something this new can compete. Here's how 1. Way more music than Apple Music. All of jays albums first of all, in my mind by Pharrell is up, a lot of underground rappers too. Even if you do not like rap recognize they pay more to each artist and likely have more of you're style regardless. 2. They offer a 90 day free trial. This lets you get a feel of the app. I think I may switch from Apple and I'm 3 weeks in. 3. If you're seriously into music then consider their lossless cd quality streaming for 20 a month. That's right they have two different streaming qualities. Don't confuse it the 9 dollar a month is just as good if not better than Apple. However the 20 a month may be good for musical mentors and other musicians. Nice addition.
Keeps getting better, high cost in gear.
by JustNickVa on 2019/07/13 21:24
Update: Warning, please note in order to actually get MQA quality that you pay for, you will have to make a large investment in equipment equalling hundreds on the budget side to an excess of thousands on the high end side. You will also have to research excessively or depend on the expertise of high end audio dealers to purchase equipment capable of playing The full potential of MQA files. The service seems to get better every few weeks. Kudos to the team at Tidal that’s continuing to make this service better for all. I have made huge investments on my gear at home and I’m happy to squeeze every available feature out of Tidal to enjoy music. I rarely use my turntable or CD player any more. I was hesitant to pay the full fee at first because i expected a steady stream of advertisements, and I was pleased to find a feature rich service without advertisements. First add i see tho i will cut my service and go right back to radio, vinyl and cd.
Your UI/UX is Pretty Bad
by Tusk69 on 2018/12/01 01:32
I have a few pet peeves with your app in the area of User Interface / User Xperience: 1) You changed the album art feature for playlists, and now only 4 album covers show up for each playlist. There used to be 6. The 4 covers haven’t gotten any bigger either, you just used up less screen space and made a “four-square”. That, in and of itself, wouldn’t be so bad, except for the fact that it’s messing up all of my old playlists that used to show 6 album covers. The square cuts the covers off and often shows nothing but a blank gray square. It’s ugly, buggy, and it makes it more difficult for the user to know what/who is on each playlist (by sight). 2) Why in God’s name do I have to scroll through my entire list of Artists and Albums in my Collection to find the one I want ??? This drives me NUTS !!! And it has been a problem since I’ve been a subscriber (a year or so). Why aren’t there any shortcuts in the form of letters, so I can at least get near what I’m looking for. Unfortunately, my workaround (which is Searching for what I want EVERY TIME) is quicker than starting at “A” and scrolling through my massive collection of music when I want a particular Artist, Album, or Song. 3) The Loudness Normalization feature leaves a lot to be desired. The first 2 items are no-brainers, and they should be fixed considering I have a $25/month high-end Hi-Fi subscription. SMH...
PLEASE FIX THE QUEUE
by AaronS2000 on 2018/09/08 07:37
Love the app been using it the past three years and never switched to a different music service. Literally ALL my music is in tidal because that’s how much I love it. Never had a problem until now. I can no longer add songs with the “Add to play queue” function which is super useful (you can add songs to play after the one currently playing and it’ll keep them in there). I noticed the feature is gone and now you can only play consecutive songs if they’re in a playlist. This suuuucks because I really relied on the play queue it’s so easy to use and organize and it keeps the songs in whatever order they were played in!!!! AND you can even rearrange them and it’ll keep them in the order you place them!!!! Please fix!!!! Keep the app amazing!!!!
EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE
by localoreo on 2018/10/19 20:11
I signed up for the free trial to give it a go and loved the service itself yet I wasn’t planning on giving it a go just yet so I cancelled through my settings on my phone by going into subscriptions. I wasn’t aware of the fact that Tidal had stored my payment information and would charge me this month for a service I didn’t knowingly ask for. When I made their support team aware of this they basically said “It’s your own fault” and refused to refund me. I’m extremely disappointed with this, especially because it’s tied to Beyoncé who I love and respect. I truly wish their support becomes better for issues like this because its problematic to charge people without them knowing. Apparently from what I’ve read in other reviews other people have also claimed this problem. I am having to contact my BANK over several charges over the last few months I was finally made aware of. Tidal has taken about $40 of my money without me knowing. This is absolutely unacceptable all around.
5 stars
by Hashim Oba on 2018/01/13 17:31
Curated playlists for holidays, seasons, genres, and artists - and that doesn’t say it all becouse it doesn’t explain how clever the playlists are - for thanksgiving there were several playlists; including slow songs for family and a “turkey turn it up” with more vibrant songs to get you ready for all the football. Any song you can think of is there, all the popular videos including the old ones and many videos that aren’t so popular. It has the usual quality like apple and the others but it also has an option for lostless audio. The interface is also a pleasure to use. You get the feeling that your using a high end product that someone cared greatly about when they created it.
Updated**Been with them since the start
by @justcallmenas on 2019/09/05 13:52
Was so excited about the adding to stories feature but was disappointed when I realized there’s no audio!
Streaming Service for hip hop
by Player3363 on 2019/04/05 03:49
I was previously an apple music user. I like the dark theme, but the graphic design is just not as elegant as the ui/look of apple music. Sometimes playing music is glitchy and songs restart. Finding new music is not very intuitive and when you first download the app it feels like the app is strictly a rap music app. The search algorithm is not good. I wish I could see the lyrics to songs. I think the credits feature is cool and the songs that keep playing that are related to the song you listened too is good. I wish it had more playlists based on things other than “moods” —> perhaps based on time periods (R&B hit of 2000s). Alternative is not listed as a genre, which I kind of understand, yet hate. The app icon does not look like it’s on the same page as the current icons for ios, which makes it appear slightly unprofessional. General use just feels clunky and discombobulating. In conclusion, you can listen to music.
[Updated] My review got deleted, my question remained unanswered. This company know no shame!
by Henry Truong 89 on 2019/04/30 21:41
No wonder it’s got high rating. My review earlier got deleted and couldn’t find it anywhere. Anyway, before you input your payment please be extremely careful with the payment. There are no easy cancellation nor refund. And they charged you even you couldn’t use the app at all. I give it a try earlier. There are several errors and bugs on their website that I couldn’t find any worse descriptions. However the fact is that I mistyped email address when registered (instead of putting “.com”, I put “.con”), but somehow they got my PayPal. They charged on my PayPal even I didn’t confirm the account (because the email address is obviously wrong so I couldn’t get any confirmation for it). Got several communication with their support, they didn’t helpful at all. My question is this simple: If I registered with a wrong email address and I didn’t confirm the account through email. (Obviously, I couldn’t access that account neither). How can I still get charged? I didn’t expect them to refund the payment but at least respond to my question. I got no answer through the email. Therefore, I put it on a review earlier. Surprisingly, instead of getting an answer, my review was deleted. I don’t know how they can do it but I am not amazed when they got 4.6 star. If you deleted all the negative review, you will got 5 stars someday.
Glitchy app/service, missing or abbreviated tracks, overly focused on pop/rap and eclectic music
by LexisLuther on 2019/08/12 17:24
No Masters (MQAs) for Pink Floyd?! or many other bands of this genre. In addition, the electronic/tech/trance music selection isn’t as good or as high quality as “sounds in the cloud” of a competing provider. I’ve spent most of the evening doing an A/B test with the free tier of another service and the electronic music selection here sounds muddy in comparison. Wish for more diversity other than the pop/rap and eclectic, where the MQA masters and higher res files seem to be prioritized. The player (iPad and AppleTV apps) or the underlying service itself seems a little bit glitchy. I’ve noted stutters on a few occasions. Some tracks stop short in the middle of the song. Perhaps a buffering issue? That having been said, when I do find a track in MQA (Master) or HiRes (HiFi), the difference in quality is impressive. As I understand Tidal have focused more on MQA than any other service. I really wish Tidal success so that they can invest in improvements. I’m still on my 30 day trial... not sure I’ll continue past the trial. The current price is a bit steep to deal with a library that isn’t suited to my tastes and with issues in functionality. I’ll certainly check back in a few months to see how they’ve progressed.
Great sound fidelity
by C4nnonB4ll on 2019/06/28 03:58
Overall, I have loved this app since I switched from Deezer. The quality of the sound is just more balanced and detailed than other music apps, however there are some things that bother me. There is no Metallica, hardly any BABYMETAL or Coldrain, and some bands like Sum 41 have certain albums missing which is frustrating. Some of this probably can't be helped since sometimes record labels don't allow some music to be played. Another thing which would be very helpful is if they added the option to make the songs within the playlists in alphabetical order or add a search bar within the playlist like with Deezer. That being said, I still recommend this app and everytime I show it to a friend they're impressed by the sound quality. It could just use some tweaks (AND METALLICA)
HiFi/Masters, Albums, and Tracks
by Ic3dWater on 2019/05/28 14:51
I’m on the 60 day hi-fi trial and I love it. As a music enthusiast the difference in quality from standard on Apple Music to HiFi/Masters is eye-opening. This added feature is worth the increase in price and I am more than willing to pay, bar one thing: Albums and specifically how they are added to your ‘collection’. I am a user that does not use playlists at all. When I am listening I look through my track list and decide what I want to hear and add things to the queue as needed (or just put it on shuffle). Unfortunately, when you add an album to your collection, it’s tracks do not appear under the section ‘tracks’ in your collection. Individual tracks that you save do appear in this section. This makes it a headache for users similar to myself to browse and select music across full albums and individual tracks. I have a number of friends who also operate without playlists and I know they would not adopt without this functionality.
Best of the best
by Unfunk on 2019/01/09 21:31
Hands down this is the best streaming service. Quality wise the other services don’t even compare. I love the app layout and I love the new “mixes” feature. Coming from Apple Music to tidal was a big jump as far as quality goes. I pay for tidal hifi and my daily music experience has been upgraded completely it’s no way I could ever go back. I hope tidal continues to make strides to becoming the most used streaming service. Now I rarely have a complaint but my only wish is that they would add a “shuffle all” button. Sometimes I like to listen to all the music in my library not just a specific artist/album and I don’t always wanna have to make a playlist. This would be a great feature to add just a suggestion :)
Bug?
by music lover 3335 on 2018/03/24 16:21
I’m having issues when playing Hi-Fi. When connected via Bluetooth or any other way to any system it won’t play the next track, or it will repeat the same track despite having the repeat off. I’ve tried it on my celular network and on WiFi, downloaded or streaming and it just won’t play. It is extremely annoying because when it does play the music quality is outstanding. This issue seams to go away when I switch to regular quality. Note that this isn’t that it’s loading the next track because the tidal logo doesn’t show on the album cover and it just won’t play (I’m very patient lol) only happens when connected via Bluetooth, USB or lightning to aux. Paying for Hi-Fi quality would expect to be able to listen to my music. Hopefully this can get fixed before my next payment otherwise I see no reason to pay for something I can’t use. Yes my music systems are capable of playing hi-fi.
Tidal eh...?
by TytheHippee on 2018/12/20 03:11
I am extremely disappointed and not happy with how this Lil Wayne concert was handled from a real subscriber. I voted on Atlanta to be picked for the concert and I was unable to attend. Furthermore, I rsvp’d to the concert and was not even given a new location to pick up what I rsvp’d for. Instead I was met with an short email with location and time doors. So I got through the trouble of standing in line at 6pm. All of that to get up to the line around 7:30 and discover you need a wristband and lanyard. It was never mentioned in the email what time they were handed out nor had I had any other further communication with Tidal about where to pick up tickets. I am shocked at the incompetency of the team that coordinated this event as it was unorganized. Which says a lot about the company in general. As a premium subscriber I know My time is valuable and I’d like to receive a one year free subscription to Tidal for free to right this wrong. Without it I’m not sure I can support an app that wastes my time and money.
The Best Option
by KkkkkkkkkKillahhhhhh on 2019/07/18 13:33
As an audiophile, peak sound quality matters in my listening experience. For what you pay, you get an sound that’s closer to studio quality. The playlists they curate are so perfect. If I create a radio station, it stays on track and I get to see all the songs that’s going to be played. It’s way more intuitive for the black listener specially if you like dancehall, hip hop, RnB, or rap. I’m not much of a pop or rock listener but that audience is still well catered to as well. Now it’s not totally perfect. They recently updated the interface that made it more mobile friendly. I would like to see lyrics accessible while listening. I’d also love to be able to tap through to jump to a letter in my library when it’s organized alphabetically instead of scrolling all the way through.
Almost best music service
by Sarowz on 2019/04/07 10:34
I am pretty satisfied with what it offers The most i am liking about the tidal is its interface , thats kinky blacky interface is just mesmerizing along with optimized huge library. Secondly, its quality. Almost all songs here are available in HIFI . Rather then volume factor , it emphasizes on crisp and clarity and that impress me for the second time Recently , it introduced MASTER on mobile devices as well That makes way easier to listen quality music offline and anywhere instead of messing with laptop for MASTER playback . Got another point there The only reason i am abit unhappy/disappointed is that .... tidal is offering limited Master quality albums . Even tho the albums are available in HI-RES on other music service, tidal is not doing the master job there . Being a tidal user from years , It seriously hurts not getting that specific album of my favorite artist on master quality which other services are offering ridiculously. I have like send around 100 emails requesting some albums in MASTER but idk what goes wrong there , i just keep getting the Request form which i have filled 100s of time as well . And sadly , i need to subscribe two music service for the pleasure of HI RES audio !
Tidal is the truth!
by Stud Glover on 2019/01/18 22:36
No buffering no ads no interruptions and endless music from any genre. On vacation, over seas with poor WiFi and everything I downloaded plays crystal clear through my portable JBL speaker. Turning a quiet pool area into a party scene and everybody loving it especially the older white people from different parts of the world. I can’t afford another bill but I’d spend my last to make sure my subscription is valid!!! Tidal is valid!!! Plus, I’m from the Stuy and a die hard J fan from day one so I’m probably subconsciously impartial. I work two jobs and I have 6 kids, therefore my music is a must at any given time! Love it!
by RuthyDeen on 2018/01/14 05:13
I seriously love tidal. I know there are some kinks that some would like worked out, but for me its the only music streaming app that I have stuck with. I have dropped all of the other apps after the free period wears off except this one. I think its partly do to the amount of exclusive material from artists I want to hear. And I love the selection of music. My one negative would be the search engine. I don't know what its like with other music spots, but if I don't spell something perfectly then I cant find what I want. I would prefer it was more like google. Give me a ballpark. Example: Im looking for “P!NK” but I spell it “PINK”. Then I may have a difficult time finding her music. Thats not cool but I would still give a 4.5 star if that was an option.
Best Streaming Service Available
by .$;!:82 on 2018/01/13 22:21
I’m a music engineering and producing student, and with TIDAL HiFi, you are listening to music at the frequency rate of CD (for those that don’t know, mp3 is the lowest fidelity of listening to music, so the sound quality of HiFi is impeccably better and more dynamic - the highs are higher and lows are lower, deeper bass). On the computer, there are also a handful of albums available in the master format with TIDAL Masters, and this is better than vinyl quality. I love being able to separate my albums from my tracks, too. While I wish it sorted my music by genre and also I didn’t have to add a playlist to have my tracks downloaded, it’s worth the hassle. If you care about audio quality, there really is no other way to go.
Love Tidal
by LGizz on 2019/03/20 01:05
This is a great streaming service. I’m able to find tons of music that I love from all genres and different periods of time. This is the best streaming service out and the design/layout of the app is perfect. I love the look. I would like to see Tidal allow you to play music from multiple devices while using the same account at the same time. My fiancé and I got to the gym together and we both love using Tidal while we workout but only one of us can use it at a time so of course I let her win that one. But it’ll be great to be able to use it at the same time. Thanks to everyone at Tidal for your efforts to maintain and improve the quality of the app and service. I love this streaming service. Keep up the great work!

by BlueWing92 on 2019/09/17 20:25
My Tidal app just all of a sudden just wont let me stream any of the music on here.

Hope Tidal will consider this as a review and be more better music streaming services.

by jesic@ on 2019/09/13 12:47
This app has been charging me 75$ and I haven’t used it once, ever since I got this phone I don’t remember if I downloaded or it was already there.
I am having a problem with the app

Tidal
by Blazayblazay123 on 2019/09/12 16:46
I love Tidal.
NO BUENO...

🤩🤩🤩

Enjoy!

Can’t get ahold of their support dept because they will only allow you to email them and then wait days before you get an answer, if they even answer at all.

by lololololjddvh on 2019/08/30 02:25
Switching from Spotify to Tidal and I already noticed a difference in the sound quality.

Read the Zappos book on customers
by jmarcus on 2018/11/23 18:21
I started selling high end audio equipment back in the 90s, to me the popularity signaled the end of the high end audio Industry and the backlash of consumers against record companies for producing and supporting music distribution mediums that wore out, or scratched easily.

This is absolutely unacceptable all around.

by Hashim Oba on 2018/01/13 17:31
Curated playlists for holidays, seasons, genres, and artists - and that doesn’t say it all becouse it doesn’t explain how clever the playlists are - for thanksgiving there were several playlists; including slow songs for family and a “turkey turn it up” with more vibrant songs to get you ready for all the football.
