Developer responded quickly to my concerns with the app. The updates changed my iPhone world. Happy customer. One the best apps you can get to place & rename apps. Have had this app for a number of years. Now with Home Screen integration, it’s like having a new phone. I just need more Launchers.
Wasted my money
by raj-jay on 2021/02/05 01:37
The app is such a fake. Clicking on the widget takes you back to the app instead of executing the action. Even a simple action as calling a number redirects to the launcher
Stopped working after IOS14
by Islandjoe2002 on 2021/01/17 16:21
And yes I know you can activate the “classic” version, but it just stops working also I paid for this and they said lifetime. NOT HAPPY was a good 5star app.
Seriously? This is horrendous
by Lilweezyone on 2021/01/09 04:55
So, I miss my Android especially when it comes to customizing. Thought perhaps this launcher would be halfway easy to use. I’m pretty good when it comes to computer techy stuff. This took me an hour just to even add a widget. The widget is very limited and the functionality is even worse. I upgraded thinking it may be more usable. Theres nothing even halfway usable with this app. Save your money
Great for customization and designing setups.
by Dre9827639 on 2020/12/21 19:05
As said in the title, I use Launcher to customize my Home Screen and it’s been really helpful. One detail that I enjoy is when you open a shortcut app, rather than seeing the Launcher app and the shortcuts app first, it shows a black screen. This, I think is a better transition to the intended app. It is a simple UX workaround to Apple’s current limitations on third-party app shortcuts (Hopefully Apple will fix it soon). This transition doesn’t always work for all apps, but it’s better than nothing. I’m excited to see more updates. I would really like to see my custom app icons change to the dark mode icons so that it would match the widget background (which has the light/dark mode options).
Good app

Love is an understatement

I absolutely love this app. I stumbled onto it somehow and it has made creating a display, that works for me, easy! Two things I’m not entirely crazy about, but shouldn’t stop anyone from purchasing it. 1. The launcher app opens before the app opens so there is a delay. It’s better now that Shortcuts doesn’t have to open as well, but a smidge irritating. 2. I don’t think you can get rid of the widget label “launcher” under the widget. It’s a bit of a bummer when you work really hard on the magic of your screen and then you have that pesky label there! The good - there’s so much! I’d say my favorite part is the ability to make the icons pretty dang small! It really is user friendly and the app has been stable and I’ve had no issues! The weird - I do not get the pricing structure at all! Seems many diff prices for similarly worded levels. pro version, premium version, premium version discounted, unlock multiple widgets has two price points, etc. The only thing I’ve paid for is the 1.99 option to unlock widgets. No idea how or where to pay dude more if I wanted to! The suggestion - it would be amazing if there was a way to refresh the background with one or two clicks and it would do it for all the current widgets. It’s a bit cumbersome to have to do each widget (if you have many) and on light and dark mode. Again, I’m only about a week into modifying my screen but this app has been great! Probably too great because I now have so many widgets, so little time! Keep up the great work!!

iPad Pro disappearing classic widget
by skipper5315 on 2020/12/12 20:48
Update: rebooted iPad and it reappeared correctly. Why? Operating system was not updated. Only Launcher. Was already running latest version of iOS 14. —————— After this last update my iPad Pro will not display the classic widget.
Fix it

Great app
by 'Berto on 2020/12/07 22:30
I love this app for instant access to music. But if you could expand the number of apps for the Apple Watch widget to like 100, that would be great, because the Apple Watch doesn’t let you sort music by “recently added”, so I use the launcher for that on the Apple watch.

Needs some tweaking...
by BennieMac on 2020/11/29 13:42
Most of the launchers work but the ones that do not, really do not they open to a blank page or get into a loop sometimes overall a good app just a little more tweaking And I understand I say that as if it’s easy because I’m not the one having to do it..ha ha 😁
Very nice experience
by ZeldasAwakening on 2020/11/01 18:47
This app combined with iOS 14 has let me have a much cleaner set of home screens. And the one app in particular that stopped working after it got a major update was resolved in less than half a day after I asked them if that app could be fixed! I really like many aspects of this app including being able to decide how small/large the icons should be and whether or not to show the names of each app. Very highly recommended!!!
iPad requires restart for iOS 14
by M A 4 on 2020/10/27 02:56
This app originally worked just fine in iPadOS 14, with a classic widget. Then, the classic widget said “Unable to Load.” (And the app’s new style widgets don’t support iPad.) Per the developers, restarting the iPad will make the widget load again. Thanks!

Gone, gone, gone
by drjwr on 2020/10/20 18:29
With iOS 14 there is the now-present melange of home widgets, none of which set up at all intuitively on Launcher; plus, 1) no new Launcher widget will hold multiple widgets except a large widget, which eats Home Screen space; and, 2) the old Launcher widget style, that was even usable under “customize” is gone. IOS 14 has sent one of my most used widgets — and I had the Pro version — into the unusable bin. Not the developer’s fault and I feel bad for her or him.
Allows for complicated setups. Highly recommend!
by IckPooYuck on 2020/10/17 16:04
Due to my job, I have complicated commutes to and from various job sites. I live in a city that allows for multiple options, and I have preferred routes that I like to take depending on factors such as toll roads, times of days, etc. Unfortunately, google maps doesn’t allow for preferential route options, instead trying to take you the fastest route... I like to avoid going through bad neighborhoods, or highways with known issues such as closures and potholes. Google maps allows me to set waypoints but no way to save the custom route in its own app. This app has changed all that. I created a custom route in google maps with waypoints to take me my preferred route, then got the URL to the custom map by choosing the “share” option in google maps, and entered that URL into Launcher. I repeated the above steps with each specific route that I take to various jobsites and then customized each Launcher further to only show me specific launchers at specific times. For instance, if I’m at Jobsite A, I don’t need to see an icon that launches a map from Home to Jobsite A, so I was able to set the option to only show me that Launcher when I’m physically at Jobsite A. Launcher declutters my screen by only showing me specific launchers on specific days, or at specific times, by location, or a combination of all the above. When I encountered a bug, I emailed the developer, who responded immediately and politely. He was extremely helpful and thorough in explaining the app. This app needs to be in Apple’s “must have” app list for all ios14 phones.
Still the Best!
by Lofi Digital Monk on 2020/10/14 01:43

Widget fail
by bifjamod on 2020/10/03 20:42
The iOS 14 home page widget feature does not work. If you have to resort to tech support for a basic, very simple function, then your app is broken. This app is broken. Update 10/03/20 Bumping to 4 stars because the original widgets are working again. Would give 5, but the new iOS14 widgets are useless. I recognize this is not Dev’s fault, and hope Apple opens that platform further in the future. But as is, dev should not even have bothered. The time would have been better spent improving the original widgets.
Pretty good app.
by Squeezyguy on 2020/10/03 16:02
I used to have a bad review, but thanks to some updates, its actually a pretty good app now. I recommend downloading this.
Good but still buggy iOS14
by FranzSF on 2020/10/03 05:55
Paid for new upgrade for new widgets but it’s broken on iOS14. Old widgets sometimes disappears and you have to restart. When it works it’s really amazing and convenient.
Useful again now that it's fixed in iOS 14
by soflachick on 2020/10/02 13:35
Update 10/2/20 So it seems that I was was one of the old pro users experiencing the bug where none of the widgets would appear in the app. I deleted the app in frustration then received the developer's response and decided to reinstall the app to see if it now worked. It does and, true to the developer's statement, my old pro widgets work as always 😊. I think all of us are going to have to get used to paying for app updates every so often rather than expecting our one paid update to last forever. I'm not happy about that fact but it is what it is. -------------------- Update 9/26/20 This used to be my favorite launcher until iOS 14. I updated the app and was asked to pay for pro, again. I thought it was an error as I had pro prior to the update to 14. I tried to restore purchases but that did nothing. I respect that developers have to earn a living. I do. I just think they should tell customers, up front, that they will have to possibly pay for app features, again, as they are updated. If that is clearly stated somewhere, I respect that. But to find that out when you try to use the app is not nice. -------------------- I’ve used a lot of launchers from the App Store but none have been as responsive as this app. The support team quickly respond to issues and questions. I appreciate all the ways I can customize icons in the app’s widget and how many apps are supported in this launcher. Other launchers don’t support as many apps as this one does.
No notifications bubbles
by King Uzoma on 2020/10/01 20:09
I purchased the premium. The app would get a 5 start rating if it included the notification bubbles. Or if that was a premium option.
Amazing app buy it now! You won't regret it
by Andybme on 2020/10/01 14:29
Even with a simple app Library on ios 14 this app remains top 10 of all apps installed. The flexibility of the new desktop widgets is amazing and the dev is super responsive as well. Just buy it and you won't be sorry
Confusing and frustrating
by Endless waste on 2020/09/30 03:29
Confusing because it’s awkward and poorly explained. I can’t delete blank widget in the edit mode either.
Worst redesign ever
by im1kissfan1 on 2020/09/30 03:19
Not sure who designed this latest release, but it’s totally useless. Nothing works right. Widgets don’t show for selection. Why take a well working application, completely redesign it, and screw it up? Did you code it with drunken monkeys?
Saves my sanity!
by Fos1955 on 2020/09/29 23:42
I love this app. Ever since iOS 14, Apple continually takes my icon folders and scatters the apps over random screens. Putting my apps back to where I want them has become an ongoing hobby. Launcher app allows me to create folders, arrange my apps, and they stay where I put them. Also, hats off to the developers for super fast support- in case Launcher doesn’t already have a shortcut for an app (ie my local bank), you request it in app and the developers add it. The last 3 times I’ve requested one, it was added within a minute. It’s as if someone is waiting for the requests to come in. Not to mention the new widgets that actually launch the apps I’ve added to the widget.

No option to add widget

iOS 14 - Fail on iPad, Fantastic on iPhone.
by PsychJay on 2020/09/26 19:26
Did this first on my iPhone with iOS 14 and it works beautifully as I stacked 4 MED launcher widgets together for my favorite apps on the 1st Home Screen. This gave me the rest of the screen for my other new iOS widgets and an scrolling app drawer with a bunch of apps on one page. But this does not work on iPad, I only have the classic pre iOS 14 widgets available. The point was to stack them with other app widgets at the top of that sidebar of widgets on the iPad for me, specifically that portion that allow you to keep widgets stick to the Home Screen at all times. I know that Apple won’t let the Home Screen have widgets yet like on iPhone. But the classic widget has to stay below the top section of the always showing sidebar widgets and they don’t stack. FEATURE REQUESTS: 1. I would like a transparent background option. 2. Would also like a small widget size that looks exactly like 4 app category looks in the new App Library in iOS 14 TIPS/TROUBLESHOOTING: Saw some others having understandable issues with the app, here are possible solutions: 1. Pro version on iPhone doesn’t carry over to iPad (or Vice Versa) A: Yes it does, but it is not automatic. In the Launcher app Home Screen, hit the menu icon on the top left (three horizontal bars) and select “Restore Purchases”. I have had this problem on others apps in the past so I knew to check the settings for this. I just think that’s how in app purchases are handled OR the developer has code something that checks you iCloud purchases to auto apply an in-app purchase to multiple devices. However this might not be the case. See “3.” below For what might have happened. 2. Can’t reorder icons. A: Yes you can, you have to do it in the Launcher app. Get into your desired widget and hit the edit icon in the top right corner (it’s the square with pencil inside icon). The icon will get that delete x in the corners, now you can press and drag your icons around or delete them. They don’t wiggle so it’s not obvious that your can reorder them. Also on the Launcher Home Screen this same edit icon allows you to rename your widgets instead of Med 1, 2, 3, etc.... 3. iOS 13 and older Launcher Pro version purchase doesn’t carry over to iOS 14. A: See “1.” above to restore your purchase. Don’t know if it will work but worth a shot. If the developer did put in a new pro in-app purchase so users of older versions had to pay again, that’s just SHAMEFULL!!! But I don’t know if that is what it is. I didn’t like having apps in my sidebar area in iOS 13 widget area so I deleted this app and never purchased Pro before iOS 14 went live.

What a rip off
by Rockape914 on 2020/09/24 02:17
This is by far the worst app for managing widgets I have had the misfortune of downloading on my iPhone 11. It serves absolutely no purpose other than scam your money, the iOS 14 built in widget manager is far and above superior in every aspect. Navigation of the app is cumbersome and the so called instructions are an absolute joke. I just want to know how I can get my money back I wish we could give a negative star rating because a -5 would be in order. Save your money
Needs more customization
by bigbear1997 on 2020/09/23 16:12

iOS 14 update ruined it
by Salvation27 on 2020/09/22 23:52

The original & still awesome
by Pgmolina on 2020/09/22 19:19
Updating my original review. iOS 14 has made this even a better app. You cannot beat the customization on the widgets that you can do with this. 2.99 purchase which I gladly paid for (not a subscription) Like others have said, very responsive developer. I had issues setting up the new IOS 14 widgets and reached out to them. They responded very quickly. —————————— Have been using this since it was banned and allowed it back on the App Store years ago. Don’t be fooled, all others are imitations of this.
Sorely disappointed
by Max ypl on 2020/09/22 18:43
So this worked great on my iOS 14 device. I upgraded to all the features with an in app purchase. All set, right? Ya, until today when the widget was blank. NOW, they add ANOTHER upgrade to unlock new widgets. And, my old widget I set up has disappeared. Unnecessary money grab in my opinion. I downloaded this for one purpose only, to add back my favorites widget that disappeared from iOS 14. Now it disappeared from the app I bought to do this with. I don’t have time to chase these devs around.

by azuniverse on 2020/09/22 06:30
Can't believe I paid $8 for an app that essentially does the same thing as Shortcuts that is built into ios. I was under the impression that the launcher widget could launch apps directly, but it actually just opens the launcher app and then redirects to the app. Exactly like shortcuts. I want a refund.
Does what it says, but not as well as another
by fakejake on 2020/09/22 04:04
I was able to set up an iOS 14 widget quickly, customize its look and feel easily, and get it installed on my iPhone homescreen smoothly, but some of the best features of this app are locked behind the paywall. Widgetsmith does a lot of the same things, and I like the design of that app better, and it hides its paywalled aspects better. They’re not as in your face as they are in Launcher 5. Power users may get a bit more out of Launcher, but I think average Joe’s should choose Widgetsmith. It seems more purpose designed for iOS 14.
Booo hissss
by Gospel Head on 2020/09/22 03:27

No widgets for iPad
by joe the salesman on 2020/09/22 03:11
Even though they advertise this for iPad when you open it on the iPad with ios14 it says that it is not supported. You can not complete the install because it does not appear as an option to add to the Notification Center. Your “what’s new” statement says it is available in iOS 14. The]is is deceptive and I want a refund.

I’m updating my Dec 2019 review, to let people know I continue to use this great app. It works perfectly - a real productivity enhancer. What I like best is the flexibility with which I am able to arrange my apps. The developer is very responsive to email inquiries. I would argue that Launcher is one of the greatest apps out there. I love it in every way! Strongly recommend.

Love using this. A little tricky at start up but it is the missing link for iPhones in my opinion. The longer I use it, the more I like it. Over time I’ve learned to set up many shortcuts for tasks I frequently do. I can also create more multi-step commands for Siri. It’s amazing to me how much simpler it makes many frequent actions. Highly recommended.

Because that’s what this app is!!! It’s my favorite!! I can’t remember how long I’ve had this app for but it’s been some time. I’ve had it since the days where you could add Settings buttons to it. The app does what it should. I bought the premium version and I absolutely love it!! Worth the money!! I’ve never had any issues with the app not working on my phone.
This app is amazing
by AmyB8484 on 2020/04/14 14:00
I’ve tried other similar launch apps, and usually they’ll only have launchers for some of your apps but not all the ones you want, which kind of defeats the purpose of the launcher. This one is able to launch almost every single app, and if they don’t have the url scheme to launch it directly, they can do it through the Shortcuts app 99% of the time, and it sets the shortcut up for you automatically so you don’t have to know anything about shortcuts. Also, in the rare instance you can’t launch a certain app, you can request it, and their development team is super nice and responds quickly. The buttons are fast and responsive. No bugs. At one point I thought the buttons were slow to respond, but it turned out it was only like that on my old iPhone 6, which was slow on everything, so it wasn’t the app’s fault. On a more updated model of a phone or iPad, it’s super fast. It also can do tons of actions beyond just launching apps. For instance, in another launch app I tried, I had tried to set up a launch button to go to a particular page in Settings (Keyboards), and a message popped up saying Apple didn’t allow that and they could only launch the settings app itself. But Launcher somehow lets you go to whatever page you want in settings, so apparently it is possible for them. Great quality app, and definitely worth the upgrade.

Still awesome! The latest update re-enables getting directly to specific places in the Settings app by using Shortcuts. Works really well! I put Launcher in the bottom (sticky) row of apps, and use 3D touch to get to 7 apps quickly. Really sweet! And Cromulent is responsive and helpful. Just get it!
Was Great, Then a Dumpster Fire Update
by EliotJ2 on 2019/10/30 17:49
The most recent update is a trash heap. It doesn't launch apps with Shortcuts. I followed the directions and enabled untrusted shortcuts. Not a single launcher worked. Also, the search feature for launchable apps doesn't work. All around, a dumpster fire.

Beautifully Functional App-Great Customer Service
by Rich9454a on 2019/10/01 15:40
This app has a very clean and intuitive UI. I have been using Launcher with Shortcuts to create Home Screen icons that will launch individual Google Sheets and Docs pages for a group of non-techies with one easy click. Launcher is working flawlessly. It works so much better than opening a Safari bookmark and then being prompted every time to install the Google Sheets app (even though it’s already installed) I had some problems initially when I tried using a tinyurl address instead of the Google url. Greg At Cromulent Labs was very quick to respond to my inquiry and the issue was resolved. I tried two other launcher type apps. One was very buggy and the other had a lot of options that were in some cases not obvious what their purpose was without buying and trying. Nice to have a very functional and clean app with a responsive developer.

This app promises to launch every app, and if it doesn’t launch an app, they’ll contact the app developer to see if they’ll support launching. What really happens? If you ask them to add an app to their list, they send you a form letter saying “feel free to contact the developer...” What a crock. I feel completely cheated.
Love the launcher but...
by Shelllatte on 2019/07/20 20:12
I love the concept of launcher but I give it 3 stars until a glitch is resolved. I upgraded to get the extra launchers but launchers come & go. They just disappear randomly (on an up to date iPad mini 4). Swipe & everything is fine, swipe again & extra launchers are gone. Stick with the free version. I'll update to 5 stars once this is resolved in a future update.
Insanely Useful!!
by 2matt on 2019/07/16 18:23
So happy I found this app! It has a ton of functionality that makes life easier on iOS. The main thing I use it for is music shortcuts. The way you can integrate Apple Music shortcuts into it is wonderful. I also use it for Spotify shortcuts. I’ve also found the geofencing to work absolutely perfectly. This is great for surfacing things when and where I need them. This lets the widget serve as a kind of second homepage that is dynamic. Great work and highly recommended. Tons of functionality!!!
Must have app
by QNetSo on 2019/07/13 19:12
This app makes the iPhone way more usable. I originally got it on my iPad and thought it was very good. But now that I have an iPhone I don't know how you can not have this app! It allows me to leave all apps in alphabetical order in the built in launcher. And then organize them how I want in this app. Why would I do that? I like my apps grouped by function. This often means I need an app in multiple groups. Something you can't do in the built in launcher. I'm also coming from windows phone. Where all apps where in an alphabetical list as well as in groups I created. In short for a windows phone user this app makes the iPhone a lot more tolerable. The app owner also responds very quickly.
Very useful. Stable.
by DrBan3 on 2017/09/21 15:52
I’ve spoken with the dev about this previously, and he has said that keeping the Setting App in the stable was more up to the dev team at Apple. Okay... I can understand that. Though it was weird that at one point it was working on the iPad but not phone. Aaanyway, I really like the app and it keeps my home screen looking clean. If there’s one thing I’d really like to see the app dev do, is remove the redundant names of the launchers on their UI. We don’t need to see “launcher 1” “launcher 2” at the top. What would be better, instead, would be the names that the user chooses, which is placed below that particular widget. Putting that on the top would look cleaner, save space and be more useful.
My absolute favorite app
by R25s on 2017/11/05 03:50
I try a lot of apps. I'll get really excited about an app I saw on the App Store or heard about from a friend or podcast and try it. And I usually use it for a few days or even a few weeks before I lose interest because it only does a couple useful things or I realize it doesn't really do what I need. But Launcher has been my absolute favorite app from the moment I downloaded it a couple years ago. And it continues to add features that make it so much easier to do the most important things I need to do on my phone. With one swipe, I have everything I need just a click away. I can call my husband, get directions home, text my favorite people, go right to a specific web page, turn on/off my lights, Shazam a song I hear on the radio or in a store, or check Facebook instantaneously. I can set up separate launchers for work vs home. I can even set them up based on time of day so I can quickly do the things I need to do when I wake up, go to bed, and all day in between. There have been a couple times when I had trouble adding a launcher, so I contacted the developer, and he was super responsive in adding access to the app I was looking for, and every time there's an update, I find even cooler ways I can shortcut my workflows. It is so rare to find an app that exceeds my expectations. But Launcher does that every day. And it saves me a TON of time, which is invaluable.
Multiple In App Purchases Makes This Difficult To Rate More Highly
by musiccity1 on 2019/04/06 16:16
I’ve used this App for several years across multiple iPhones and iPads. As I tried to move widgets across platforms yesterday I was reminded of some shortcomings. I have purchased the app and paid for one upgrade only to be met with a second in app purchase to unlock the functionality I really need. I certainly don’t mind paying for apps (I’ve been doing this since day one of the first iPhone release), but an app like this shouldn’t have a multi tiered purchase in my opinon. This is all the more true as there are now totally free options which provide most of the functionality found here. Also, there are any number of new apps not formally supported by Launcher. This also makes this app less useful to me. If I could, I would give this two and a half stars at this point, but that isn’t an option. It certainly does provide some much needed convenience which Apple could incorporate into a native iOS release but never has bother to do so. Shortcuts isn’t remotely a competitor here. If you decide to buy, be aware of what you do, and don’t get with each tiered purchase. I suspect many will need to plunk down multiple purchases to get the real use out of Launcher.....
Thank you! To the genius developer who came up with these amazing time savers
by DJSKIP2010 on 2017/12/11 16:45
Wow! Is all the comes to mind when tried a few years ago. My iPhone broke without a warranty, And could not replace with new one for a year and a half. Decided to reinstall and try out pro version and my Wows! Are tripled at not how much smoother and quick it is, but am amazed at the large number of new and more efficient things you guys have added; especially for the magic launcher for timer. Now if my watch is dead and want to set a timer, I don’t have to double click the home button, find the app The timer is on, then daouble click to go back to my apple nusuc, Facebook, etc., I can just slide down, then left and shows timer; of which is still counting time and showing it counting inside the widget. Amazing! Thank you for saving me lots of time throughout the day, and keeping my accidents on a bike down dramatically cuz of me trying to check msgs or mess with phone more than I should be when riding on-the-go.

Great app for minimization
by pkondo on 2017/11/13 21:14
I bought this app awhile back. I had used Launch Center Pro but I have to admit that was way too confusing for me. I wanted something very simple that I could use to start an app or start a group text message. I recently bought an iPad Pro (using ios11) to replace my laptop for 90% of my needs. However, I also made the conscious decision to minimize my Homescreen as I hate clutter. I’d rather do a search for apps than fish through multiple home screens. I just set up multiple Launcher actions that help significantly with my issues. I have multiple widgets so I can quickly send both single and group text messages. No more going to the Message app and doing a search or scrolling down. I also have actions to access common items like TuneIn radio and Pocket which I would never want to put in my dock even though I use them frequently. I want my dock to be filled with mission critical apps. I love having multiple widgets which helps me organize all my actions. With this app, I’m actually able to have a 1 (just 1) Homescreen with no apps on it. All apps are either in my dock and anything else can be searched for or it’s one swipe to get to the widgets. Lastly, I also have to be honest here. I mainly wrote this review because one of the first reviews I just read panned the app based on not even trying it.
Fast Access to Important Apps
by Brad Isaac on 2017/11/17 00:37
I was hesitant at first to buy because I thought it would just be a way to tap to open an app. But I eventually found my way. And glad I did. This will offer to launch an app at a specific location or specific time. It will hide apps from the today screen based on the time or your location. For example, I was always forgetting to launch my timekeeper app when I arrived at a client's with Launcher, it now happens automatically. Forget to launch your task list for a review? Set it to launch for a noon review every day. In addition, excellent support. I emailed developer about a problem app that crashed on launch. He got back to me within 1 day with a workaround that got the app to launch!

by Fos1955 on 2020/09/29 23:42
I love this app.
Special Launcher Does Not Work
by uteasip on 2018/03/10 22:57
Using the free version I drove around several hours trying to create launchers to take me back to a previously visited location (at each of which I had created a Special Launcher which I thought would have saved the GPS coordinates of that location so I could later activate the Launcher from my Notifications and be presented with a map and verbal directions to return me to the spot. I tried both GoogleMaps and Waze. When I would leave a location where I had created a Launcher and try to get directions back to that location the app would just give me a map and directions to my current location. The concept is good and the function would be very useful to me IF it worked but it does not work and I could find no instructions to help determine if I was doing something wrong. I’d give a zero rating if that were possible because apps that don’t work just don’t belong in the App Store!
Changing my review
by Vampaliciousss on 2019/04/09 01:05
Ok. So I’m updating my review because I do see potential here. Convenient for messaging apps. Quick notes. It would be great for a calculator, etc. I haven’t purchased it. And the fifth star, well. It’s still a launcher. I’d love for it to have some widget functionality. Like instead of launching the messenger app, allowing you to view and answer messages right there. But it says it’s a launcher and it does what it says. Can’t complain about that.

This is an excellent app to allow you to put your favorite contacts (family, co workers, etc) and apps that you use most often in the same place. Now instead of finding where my apps are or punch my screen several times before I can call my wife, I can now do all those using the first screen!!! Genius idea!! It also has so many apps that are already built in or for you to choose so you can launch them from the first screen, so you should be very well covered!! Highly recommended!!
the power of launch center pro but updated often!
by kolbyk on 2017/06/27 02:40
Update June 2017: Launcher continues to amaze me. It has now surpassed and outpaced it's competitors. More so, the developer is quick to respond to issues and takes suggestions seriously. A few months ago I suggested adding location/time based alerts and guess what? He added them! This app saves me crazy amounts of time every day. It's tight integration with Workflow and other apps allows me to create a new hub for my daily work. ---- It does pretty much everything launch center pro does but is updated often.

Good staff. Know what you’re getting
by MaybeTinEar on 2018/08/06 16:25
Apple has made life hard for developers. Somehow, I think they are proud of that. It is a fault, and it hinders adoption of Apple products, though they suppose otherwise (it is not a theory they have tested out). The implication here is that you can only launch 3rd party apps that are free to install. That’s because, since apps can’t just search for apps, because apple locked it down, the developers have to manually create a link. Don’t get me started about apple not enabling mouse support, or refusing to add hdmi...
I absolutely love Launcher
by Blakejp on 2017/06/23 23:04
It has continued to grow and grow in functionality, and it freed me to arrange my home screen in the most aesthetically pleasing way. I don't need to worry about what's on the front page because every app I could possibly want to use on a moments notice is available at a swipe. Super interesting use cases from a workflow point of view keep popping up as well. Very happy to support this developer with his more than fair in app purchases. Just a supremely satisfying app - thank you!
I love it! But except for one thing...
by CCLG041994 on 2017/12/11 03:26
I tried the free version first and I must say that I love it. No app can do what this app can do. To add on top of it, it's easy to use. However, one suggestion I would put out is the ability to put the widget name where the LAUNCHER label is, maybe have some color coding too? Don't get me wrong, I love it, but in my opinion, I'd rather see the titles on top. Thank you for hearing me out! PS, I wouldn't mind paying to see that extra layer customization added of this already awesome launcher!

Life saver!
by bradtwotrees on 2017/12/28 15:50
Absolutely an essential app, this is a must-have. Even the free version is loaded with enough features to make life SO much easier. Developer quickly responds to bug reports and requests to enable an app to be Launch-able. I upgraded to the Pro version for what I feel is a very small price and am extremely satisfied. As one who has 270 apps on my iPhone, this is one of the best implemented and well behaved apps I have. Get it!
Great app and it keeps getting better!
by Mhobizal on 2017/09/16 22:59
I'm surprised at the people that are complaining to have to pay to upgrade. I do not paying for quality! I've used Launcher for almost 2 years. I love it! I just found the Apple Watch functionality today and love that too! I've only paid once so far and look forward to upgrading to multiple widgets when I need it. And yes I'm willing to pay for this!
It saves time
by ThaiUser on 2018/11/08 07:56
Apple's current way of getting things done work but isn't the most efficient way. I'm finding that Launcher helps overcome some of these problems and makes doing daily things easier and faster. I especially like the time and location based triggers. And the recent Siri triggers are great, pity Apple has worked hard to ensure they don't operate without user Face confirmations.
iOS 12, still no dark background for widgets
by Just_Me_Too56657 on 2019/04/01 09:18
I know that Appe (ugh...), forces developers to change great features to become unusable ones, just like the CPU and memory ones in this app. Having to change them to a white background makes them... Well - useless!!! Unless you want to have HUGE widgets - which I don't! Too bad they arbitrarily, allow other launchers, to use black background. (I'm using another Launcher app, just for that reason, which consumes more battery, and takes a lot of precious real estate, thanks to... Apple again, for making Widgets sizes great only for people with bad eyes. A note for the developers : please try to ask Apple to allow dark backgrounds, so you can have some of your features useable again. I hope they listen, it's ios 12, and they already (more correctly - Finally), adopting Dark Mode, themselves.

Just one example of how you can use this app: I love the Siri suggestions for apps, but find it changes often. With Launcher I can have my own, permanent version in my today widget view. Gives me quick and easy access to infrequent but important apps like Friends and Family and also estimated drive times for home and work. I use this app every day!

Unlike other reviewers I don't mind at all paying more for unique new features. I much prefer this to paying again for a new version or the nowadays all too common subscription model for content that doesn't lend itself to subscriptions. The new features are a really good idea and I bought the upgrade right away.
Love it

I’ve been a longtime user of Launcher. It’s been one of the most useful apps I’ve ever bought. There are few developers that put the time and love into improving their apps that Cromulent does. And it shows. If you are looking for a way to speed up access to apps and a variety of other shortcuts Launcher is the way to go.
My most used app
by RunJer on 2017/11/07 03:43
I use Launcher as a shortcut to make calls and send texts from Google Voice, which has no favorites integration, using GV Connect which is a launchable app. It also works great with my Apple Watch enabling me to create shortcuts for calls and launching Apple Music playlist. Setup is simple and it works flawlessly. I highly recommend it

Developer responded quickly to my concerns with the app. The updates changed my iPhone world. Happy customer. One the best apps you can get to place & rename apps. Have had this app for a number of years. Now with Home Screen integration, it’s like having a new phone. I just need more Launchers.
Love Launcher!
by TS 2019 03 09 on 2020/09/20 20:54
I’m updating my Dec 2019 review, to let people know I continue to use this great app. It works perfectly - a real productivity enhancer. What I like best is the flexibility with which I am able to arrange my apps. The developer is very responsive to email inquiries. I would argue that Launcher is one of the greatest apps out there. I love it in every way! Strongly recommend.
My 2nd most favorite app
by dugnino on 2018/07/06 20:55
I recommend the pro version which has 35 launchable apps on notification widget screen. Using Launcher, I can quickly startup any of my Pythonista scripts from the iOS notification widget screen without first having to start the Pythonista app. Launcher saves me valuable time and allows me to be more productive.
Love it, keeps getting better, listens to customers
by utrph77004 on 2017/06/18 20:47
Have to say I have paid for Pro a while back, and also given the developer more than 1 tip because he keeps updating, adding new features, and actually listens to his customers. (The time based App reminders in particular.) There are "copy cat" apps on the App Store. Don't go for them. This one is absolutely the best and keeps getting better. The "cheap" whiners on here have no idea how to support app developers. Many bigger companies have switched to subscription models, while this one has not. Kudos to the developer. This app puts Launch Center Pro to shame.
Great app
by 'Berto on 2020/12/07 22:30
I love this app for instant access to music. But if you could expand the number of apps for the Apple Watch widget to like 100, that would be great, because the Apple Watch doesn’t let you sort music by “recently added”, so I use the launcher for that on the Apple watch.
Junk
by massolteron on 2017/06/24 06:00
As with everything else Apple Watch related, this app is junk. As others have pointed out, the pricing is ridiculous and the developer should heed the comments from their stakeholders. Every response from this specific developer is a retort of defensiveness rather than listening, and appreciating. It's called quality standards; no, actually it's called customer service and if you're not ready to Open yourself up to critique forward momentum slows. Read a book on business practice and learn a few things.
Really sweet!
by BennSKirk on 2019/11/02 15:33
Still awesome!
Google Maps destinations not working
by insyzygy on 2018/11/04 22:00
I have Google Maps destinations set up in Launcher, but when I select a particular destination in the widget section, Google Maps no longer takes me to that destination; it just opens up Google Maps. Any idea what’s going on? It’s my most-used Launcher configuration.
This app is phenomenal!!!
by RyBread22 on 2019/02/23 19:43
I have only had this app for a day, but it has seriously increased my productivity ten fold!! On top of the fact that the customer support responds to your questions very quickly and efficiently. I don’t even know how I have been even using my phone prior to this app!!
Best App Purchase...
by cmtopaz on 2019/06/11 00:59
I am very pleased with what apps I’m able to add to Launcher. The convenience of being able to have a shortcut for my main apps from the locked screen without having to go into my phone and find them, is wonderful... This is an app purchase I do not regret.
I'll update to 5 stars once this is resolved in a future update.
wonderful...
by WTF_Actual on 2019/07/01 17:40
more or less an easy to use app. the icons don’t display properly sometimes IF i add them with the green plus + arrow, but do fine if i click on the app (like i’m going to edit it) and choose the check box when finished. 3 stars for that and the ugly “Launcher, Launcher 2, Launcher 3 title bars in the widget. would be 4.9 stars if i could get rid of that or replace the widget title bars with the widget’s explicit name.
Great App. So helpful for compartmentalizing.
by Imbrock on 2018/04/18 20:59
Really appreciate the app. My least favorite things are: 1)The interface, but that is just personal preference. I use the app for its functionality. 2) The Apple Watch Functions. Right now, there are just to options (call a specific number or text a specific number). I am confident the options will expand as the app continues to improve, but for now you have to look to apps like IFTTT and Workflow until more advanced launcher tasks are developed. This app packs a punch, though. Really useful one to have in your productivity quiver.

Good app

Love is an understatement
by Austinite2009 on 2020/12/17 15:44
I absolutely love this app.

Widget fail
by bifjamod on 2020/10/03 20:42
The iOS 14 home page widget feature does not work.

I purchased the premium version of this program a few months ago. This recent update verson is asking me to pay again for premium features.
Needs more customization
by bigbear1997 on 2020/09/23 16:12
I like the widgets but wish you could reorganize the icons on the widget. Have to be very mindful of the order you add things.
iOS 14 update ruined it
by Salvation27 on 2020/09/22 23:52
This app used to be amazing. After the recent update with iOS 14, it’s now a pay for what I had for free. Only gives you 4 actions instead of 12+. Can’t believe it
The original & still awesome
by Pgmolina on 2020/09/22 19:19
Updating my original review. iOS 14 has made this even a better app.

I had the premium version of this app, then it updated to version 5 and my old widget completely disappeared. When I tried to recreate it, I wasn’t allowed without paying money. I sincerely hope this developer goes out of business for pulling this stunt. I’ve deleted the app off my phone FOREVER!!!!!!!!! I now hate this app!!!!!!!
Disappointed
by azuniverse on 2020/09/22 06:30
Can't believe I paid $8 for an app that essentially does the same thing as Shortcuts that is built into ios.
It seems more purpose designed for iOS 14.

by Gospel Head on 2020/09/22 03:27
If you don’t pay, you can’t play. You can have 3 widgets. All have a launcher logo as an actual app. You can custom any classic launcher. Not worth the 30 minutes of time I wasted.

I suspect many will need to plunk down multiple purchases to get the real use out of Launcher.....

by DJSKIP2010 on 2017/12/11 16:45

Great app to group your favorite contacts and apps together!!
by sho2k on 2019/01/04 21:28
This is an excellent app to allow you to put your favorite contacts (family, co workers, etc) and apps that you use most often in the same place.
Life saver!
by bradtwotrees on 2017/12/28 15:50
Absolutely an essential app, this is a must-have.
Great app, the longer I use it, the more I like it.
by Steven Ledingham on 2020/08/21 18:16
Love using this.
Awesome customer service
by PI3141596 on 2018/09/16 21:01
I had an issue with version 3.1.5 and not being able to load a widget with music launchers. I sent an email to support (on a Sunday afternoon!) and heard back from Greg within 10 minutes with a work-around and the news of a new version fixing this problem. Customer support like this is priceless.
Indispensable
by docwindsor on 2018/08/06 17:50
Just one example of how you can use this app: I love the Siri suggestions for apps, but find it changes often. With Launcher I can have my own, permanent version in my today widget view. Gives me quick and easy access to infrequent but important apps like Friends and Family and also estimated drive times for home and work. I use this app every day!
Great and getting better
by Sphinx711 on 2018/05/25 19:30
Unlike other reviewers I don't mind at all paying more for unique new features. I much prefer this to paying again for a new version or the nowadays all too common subscription model for content that doesn't lend itself to subscriptions. The new features are a really good idea and I bought the upgrade right away.
Love it
by Floyd1327 on 2018/09/08 14:37
*Update #2* 2 times now I’ve contacted the developer through the suggestion link, and within about a week my suggested app was actually added! Fantastic customer support and reply times! Overall very handy app with few bugs and if your favorite app can not be launched, just email them with the suggestion to add and if they can they will!
AMAZING!!!
by jayc910 on 2020/04/18 04:28
Because that’s what this app is!!!
Fabulous utility now even better with Siri Shortcuts
by bobsilver1 on 2018/10/18 18:31
I’ve been a longtime user of Launcher.
I highly recommend it
And All is good With The World
by firelance80 on 2021/02/05 02:24
Developer responded quickly to my concerns with the app.
I'll update to 5 stars once this is resolved in a future update.
wonderful...
by WTF_Actual on 2019/07/01 17:40
more or less an easy to use app. the icons don’t display properly sometimes IF i add them with the green plus + arrow, but do fine if i click on the app (like i’m going to edit it) and choose the check box when finished.
