I LOVE HOPPER Great deals all year round
Saved me a lot of money
by jeff&lou on 2019/02/17 11:12
The whole family, 8 of us, were planning on going to Maui during peak season. The prices have been incredibly high, but with so many of us going, and no option to change the date, I assumed we would have to spend the small fortune we were being charged. Hopper kept advising to wait. And then suddenly I received an alert that one airline had dropped its price $200 per ticket Hopper advised that prices will be going up, so buy.I scrambled to buy them first thing in the morning and, by the time I was done, prices on the same flight went up $100! To be fair, I was using Kayak as well, and they also alerted me so I am giving them the same review. Hopper, however, gave superior guidance as to when to buy. But I’m thrilled to have saved so much money thanks to these great apps
Best travel app ever!

Love the way how fast this baby works thanks to the bunny rabbit! Yippee!! Boing!!!

Quick simple easy. Most times cheaper then the airline will offer for the same flight.
Seat availability
by slick128737 on 2019/02/16 03:10
It says seats are available but turn out they are not when I tried to pay. It’s says to pick another flight and those same seats that were unavailable show up again. Again they were unavailable.
Love Hopper App

I have utilized the Hopper App in the past, but it really helped me book my trip to British Columbia recently. I will use it again soon!
by FLClint on 2019/02/15 17:58
In general, Hopper is the worst travel agency I have ever had the unfortunate experience of dealing with. AWFUL!! Do not use!!

Love the notifications regarding flight prices. Log in process is not good. At the moment unable to login from my cell.
by K-McNasty on 2019/02/15 13:35
IT TOOK THE HASSLE OUT OF DOING RESEARCH!! I even back tracked to see if they marked up some of their prices. For the most part they weren’t. I 10/10 recommend!!!
It really works!

This app is completely useless
by brogers1913 on 2019/02/14 23:09
I have been tracking a trip for 7 months on this app...Hopper told me to wait and now my trip is coming up in April and tickets are at the highest possible price. Don’t waste your time on this awful app.
by mayuasmith on 2019/02/14 17:47
This app is awesome! They send you all type of deals and keep you updated with the best prices. Super convenient and easy to navigate through.

Never got anywhere after trying to book about 40 different flights
by SkyRating on 2019/02/13 20:39
I started a day ago trying to book a flight and all I keep getting is “ sorry there is no seating” or “ error while trying to book your flight” so I give up and will delete this app and try another one. Also no customer service if you do have a problem. You can email them but good luck on getting a response.
Awesome. Just awesome.

by roseland55 on 2019/02/12 19:45

My flight from Tulsa to Dallas was so uncomfortable, I was the middle seat and the individual that was on the isles took my leg space and the arm rest causing the trip to be uncomfortable
Great App!

Misleading trip information
by MadReem on 2019/02/12 01:47
I booked a round trip from columbus to Vegas. When I booked there was only one flights connecting back. After checking I was made aware there would be 3 stops on the way back home. Had I known this I could of made another reservation. I did not plan on spending 12 hours traveling back. This company needs to make things more clear so people can choose accordingly.
Super helpful app!!!
by HSadventures on 2019/02/11 12:52
I love using Hopper for the fact that I can see all airlines in one place with no pop up ads and windows everywhere. It’s a very easy app to use and purchasing flights is super fast and easy.
Lucky I don’t sue
by Breagan96 on 2019/02/10 23:27
This app and its creators are lucky I don’t sue them due to the fact of the money I spent on my flight and the flight magically disappeared and I was never informed of this until I got to the airport and then THEY had to fix and rebook my flights DO NOT GET THIS APP ILL TELL EVERYONE WHOS LISTENING
by 55mikel on 2019/02/10 23:27
Do easy to use and great fares, YES
Cost me $300
by Dan from Tinder on 2019/02/10 19:54
I was booking a flight, and prices were at about $300. This app told me to wait, so I did. I got a notification a couple weeks later that the price was the lowest it would be— $600. I don’t know why I trusted this app, but I feel really stupid for doing so.
Hassle free to book

Flying on my time
by Anonymous Yve on 2019/02/10 11:48
This is the first time I am using the app and have yet to book because I am currently testing the trip watch. But my first complaint about this app is that itself. I don’t only need to watch for the cheapest flight, I also need to watch for the time of day my flight must leave and or arrive. Hooper does not provide that feature so I am basically watching a price prediction on a flight that does not work for me. So if your flight time is imperative, then the price watch on this app is not for you.
saved so much!
by Literally so lame on 2019/02/09 23:43
I foolishly waited longer than i should have to book a fight from Auckland to Los Angeles, and all the costs (for non stop) we’re getting close to $700 USD. I decided I might as well just watch the flight like it said and I am SO glad I did, because this app sent me a notification to buy on a deal for $350 USD!!!! AMAZINGGG
Great app

Fake Fares
by Jzegna on 2019/02/09 00:48
When you try to book, it tells you “something went wrong” with no explanation. My card was charged 10 times so it was not the card. Went on the airlines’ websites and the flights did not even exist. Use a trusted app instead, not the new shiny thing to do.
Hopper is GREAT!
by bmclerran on 2019/02/08 18:05
Hopper made is SUPER easy for me and my friends to book a girls trip! We were able to get the dates we wanted for super cheap!!!
Been a user for years..
by Fbarraza91 on 2019/02/08 06:55
Have booked 1 flight through this app. But I feel this app is deeply flawed in predictions. I have noticed that one day It will tell me to wait until so and so, then the next morning it tells you to “BOOK ASAP” because prices aren’t going down! I think Google Flights does a better job at predicting. I basically still have it only to get notifications for trips I’m planning but not really 100% on going. For any other trip I book through Google Flights. Moral of the story is don’t use this app to book flights in the short term. If you see a good enough fare from Skyscanner etc. just book it. I would love this app to fix their predictions and maybe add a Multi City feature and I will continue to use it.
Great traveling app!
by tyuippknn on 2019/02/08 06:28
The watching feature really makes sure I get the flight I want for the cheapest! Great traveling app!
Odd suggestion
by JayGeeEss on 2019/02/08 01:52
I recently created a search for flights from Atlanta to Seattle. As an alternate I also tried Atlanta to Vancouver and Atlanta to Portland. I just got an alert that said “Because you searched forVancouver... what about Salt Lake City? It’s only $207 RT. That’s a great deal! “ Yes, that’s a great deal but it’s 700 miles from my destination. 🤔
Saved a lot of headaches! (and money)
by blackjack843 on 2019/02/07 23:36
Hopper really saved me a lot of headaches when it comes to traveling! I recommend this app for all travelers. Just put trips on your watch list and Hopper does the work for you. This is a real dope app.

Best site I’ve ever found
by COPIUOS on 2019/02/07 14:53
So intuitive, and it seems to always find better deals than online services. Plus, it is so easy to switch dates and see the impact. I have used the tracker and it has helped me make good comfortable decisions and kept me from spending more money unnecessarily. Can’t say enough how functional and easy this app is. Other than weather apps, this is the best one I have ever used!

Predictions + prices are wrong

Push notifications not working properly
by janmangus on 2019/02/05 15:51
This app has good intentions but for some reason I don’t get notified when prices drop as it predicts. I have notifications fully enabled for the app. If I’m lucky I see the notification pop up and then immediately disappear from my Notification Center. I usually have to open up the app to discover that I missed a price drop, which is really frustrating. It kind of defeats the purpose of the app for me.
Great prices when notified
by frustrateduser_CFA on 2019/02/05 14:27
I have had great success in purchasing plane tickets when I pay attention to the notification and try to select the best times that match my itinerary. A couple of downsides is that I tried to register my device for this app and it keeps telling me that an account already exists. Therefore I don’t purchase tickets through this app and I have to go to the front page of the major airline to book. Overall great app that saves money especially when I am waiting for that trip. And if I don’t get to go because I missed it, it’s okay! I’ll have saved money and will wait for another opportunity with Hopper.
Terrible app
by Cjames9001 on 2019/02/05 14:00
Signed up for several alerts and was never alerted of a better price. Looks like the app signed me out by itself. Useless app if it doesn’t actually inform you of when to buy a flight. UPDATE: Tried this app again, bad idea. Once again got NO NOTIFICATIONS at all. Prices for my watched flight is as high as they get now. Terrible app, DO NOT RELY ON IT!’

Listings visible but no seats
by itskindoffuntodotheimpossible on 2019/02/05 05:29
The one downside with Hopper is that it shows all current flights for the day rather than either a)the number of available seats on flights or b) only flights with available seats. It’s a little inconvenient to be able to see the flights within your price and time range but not book them because there’s no seat availability.
Watch only specific airline?
by Bruceahz on 2019/02/04 19:14
It would be great if we could filter a watch for a specific airline. Sometimes finding the absolute cheapest fare is not our goal...just finding the cheapest fare on a specific airline. Or specific flight even.

DONT TRUST THIS APP ,False advertising
by BbraveAmber on 2019/02/03 15:55
1st review I’m writing because I’m just upset . First y’all spy on me cause the flight I’ve planned on taking pops up on my IG feed. Says prices Will be low . I get the app & they tell me to wait for prices to drop only for them to increase 😤😤
New Hotel Features
by Team breezy 2 on 2019/02/03 13:26
I am a travel junkie and I use Hopper for flight predictions, but now I am excited to see their new feature for Hotels with some live video footage. I am using them for my upcoming trip to Miami. Please provide more hotel information such as hotel incidentals and the the sq. ft size of the room selections. I’ve noticed some of the hotels in South Beach Miami are small. Great job Hopper!
Never notified of flight cancellation
by MsBobbi on 2019/02/03 03:44
I’ve used this app many times to track reduced prices for international travel. I will never book through them again. One leg of my flight return flight from Lisbon was cancelled and I was never notified. My friend booked through Expedia and it was through her I found out the cancellation. When I called to inquire I had to tell them about the cancelled flight! To make other arrangements involves them emailing you an alternative (the person you speak to CANNOT change your flight) If you don’t agree to the rebooking they chose and sent you via email, the process starts all over. This is so inefficient, you end up with poor seats or no seats & increases your costs waiting. I’m going back to google

by Hey... what happend? on 2019/02/02 04:28
Booked a trip, but didn’t go through the initial time. Message let me know our money would be refunded. I reluctantly, but still booked the trip again and waiting to get money returned as app said it would in 24hours. Will see if we do or have to “hop” through hoops!
Don’t waste your time.
by Samwell47 on 2019/02/02 02:58
Literally only spirit airlines and American. Enjoy trying to find any other flight, especially those besides spirit at a good price. You’ll have better luck searching southwest and delta websites or going to Expedia. Useless app pushing you to fly the worst airline.
Spirit Airline
by skflurer on 2019/02/02 01:46

Saved us $600 on flights
by Kludgymom on 2019/02/01 06:16
We just saved $600 on our family of 4’s trip from Europe. We tracked several desired travel dates and started to freak out as prices soared but trusted in Hopper’s predictions. Sure enough this week we got a notice we should buy now as fares had dropped and voila- we were good to go. We didn’t purchase through the Hopper app so can’t speak to some of the reviews about fares changing during buying process, but for tracking fares and dates and when to buy, this app is worth its weight in gold!
Terrible app!!!!
by True2u5 on 2019/02/01 03:08
Was told to wait to book flight, flight went up and up and up then received a notification saying book.
Prediction is all trash
by Fnnnmhgrrgbvdd on 2019/02/01 02:23
I saw a $280 ticket but didn’t buy it, cause Hopper told me to wait. Now it’s $454, and the lowest predicted price is $404. Just deleted this trash app. Stop wasting people’s har earned money to perfect your algorithm.

I am a single woman who is spontaneous and always looking for a great deal to get out of town. Hopper is the best App I found for doing just that!
by 5678jjj on 2019/01/31 05:44
Hopper is super helpful with booking flights. The app is easy to use and allows you to find the cheapest flight
by agev01 on 2019/01/31 01:08
I’ve tried to use the predictions to purchase flights multiple times. As a preliminary matter, no notifications as to a lower price or a higher price are ever received. When I look to see price changes, they are always higher, contrary to the predictions. Conclusion as to my experience: if you keep waiting as suggested by the app, you will pay a higher price, which is in no way warned by the app itself. The purpose as advertised does not exist or at least it has never worked for me.
Truly the cheapest
by Bnchase on 2019/01/30 21:49
I’ve used Hopper a few times now and I’ve enjoyed it every single time. It’s really the cheapest I’ve found flights on! I love the feature that allows you to keep an eye on the price of a flight before booking. That way I know that I’ve gotten the lowest price possible.
by eebee26 on 2019/01/30 14:49
This app is the best! I’ve paid hundreds of dollars less than friends on the same flights/trips by using the predictions suggested by Hopper. I will use this app for every flight I need to take!

Most trusted app
by SoulFlighr on 2019/01/30 06:06
Hopper is the first thing I check before I even think about purchasing a flight. I’m also finding that Hopper lists cheaper flights than what’s listed on every other site. In the past I’ve only used it to set alerts for flights and decide when would be the best time to purchase AND travel. This was my first time booking through the app and it was such a smooth process. Great user experience/design overall.
Great concept, horrible delivery
by drbeckyH on 2019/01/30 04:03
I read a good review on Hopper somewhere and thought I’d give it a try for my round-trip flight to Kenya this summer. I predicted that flights would not be decreasing any, so I purchased it at over $1800 several weeks ago. Last week it sent me a notification indicating that the fare had dropped to $1500. And just now I got another notification that tickets are just over $1400. I don’t know how airfare to a place on the heels of a terrorist attack with more advanced notice can be more expensive than several weeks down the road, but then again, neither does hopper!!! DO NOT TRUST THEIR PREDICTIONS.
This app is a scam!
by ChrRend on 2019/01/30 03:05
Do not use this app. Not sure where all these good reviews are from. First started watching flight and prices for good times were around $200. Trusted app and waited for a better deal. When I was notified to buy for the “best deal” prices were over $400 for horrible flight times. Don’t trust this app. In response to the reply from Hopper below: I discussed my issue with a trusted friend and learned she was watching a flight to Iceland. She was experiencing the same issue as me. Luckily she stopped trusting Hopper and booked early. I have not heard positive reviews about Hopper from anyone I know. Do not trust the positive written reviews.

Precios incorrectos...

Completely misleading!
by Stellanovella on 2019/01/27 18:31
I would recommend only using this app to watch the price of flights. DO NOT BOOK THROUGH THEM!! I have been using Expedia to book flight for years and have never had a problem. When I went to book through hopper, I went through the whole process and got an error message that my payment didn’t go through. When I clicked the help support tab it said to check my upcoming trips and to look for a confirmation. There was no confirmation, and based to what the help tab said, the payment did not go through. I even refreshed the app several times and still no confirmation. THREE HOURS LATER after I booked through Expedia and it went through right away, I get a confirmation email from hopper that my flights have been confirmed. Now I have to fight them on this. I was mislead in many ways by hopper and DO NOT recommend anybody else using this app to book flights in order to save them the inconvenience that I am dealing with right now!

Predictions completely wrong and tickets more expensive than other sites
by NYC-10023 on 2018/08/31 02:16
I normally don’t write bad reviews but I think hopper deserves it. I wanted to book my flights to San Juan and was getting tickets for $240 but based on the prediction I was told to wait. For some reason I foolishly trusted this app as I watched the fares increase steadily for the next week. I had put this trip on watch and the predictions stated the prices were set to drop by $120. Luckily after a week I decided not to go by the predictions and purchased tickets for $350 - wasted a good $110 due to the wrong predictions. Finally I get a notification from hopper a week before my travel saying $450 is the lowest price and the prices are not expected to drop further. Why would hopper reflect a future price drop and then quote a high price saying that is the cheapest? I find it hard to believe that hopper would mess up such a simple prediction and this leads me to believe that they maybe selling our search and watchlist results. This is also the third time this is happening to me with hopper. They are also more expensive than other sites when it comes to purchasing tickets FYI - I also see a standard response from hopper saying their predictions are 95% accurate but they do not guarantee anything. C’mon guys at least don’t copy paste the same response for everyone
Love this app, it’s been a lifesaver
by Aloving on 2018/01/31 05:31
I have been traveling all over Asia and this app has saved me so much money. It puts all my flights and potential flights and dates and potential dates in one place and tells me when to book, when to wait and all the prices laid out together so flying and booking feels so easy, and can be done at the lowest price possible. I love that I don’t feel like I have to freak out about when I’m going to buy my flights and whether or not I’m getting the best deal because this app makes it clear for me. I also love how quick and easy it is to book a flight when your information is saved in the app. It has made my Asia trip so much smoother and more enjoyable, and made me be able to change my schedule and book when I want to, and not have to have everything planned up front, which I like. I like being able to change my dates and have a flexible schedule when I travel. The app is simple and easy to use, and so far I haven’t seen any glitches and I don’t have any complaints. Would totally recommend it for any travelers.
Prices not updated
by CSCP1972 on 2018/02/16 21:40
I downloaded this app to save money on a family trip to the Caribbean. I gave it 3 stars for the many tips given for cheapest flights. I found tickets for $461 and was ready to purchase since it stated that this was the lowest price available. When searching other sites and apps, Hopper had the cheapest price. So after filling out passenger information and going to the purchase page, a window pops up stating that prices went up $77 dollars. It then says choose different flights or continue purchase. I went back to change flights and the flights I had previously chosen were still at the $461 price! I then picked the next cheapest flight. Then it states prices went up over $100! I even restarted the app to see if prices got updated. Nope. It even has a little bunny hopping and checking for latest prices! No such luck there either. Update: The price didn’t go up if I tried purchasing one adult ticket. However, when I added other travelers including my kids, the prices goes up. Maybe it’s because of how many seats are available next to each other? It would be great if the app could let you know how many seats are left for each flight!
“Hacker Fares”—Proceed with caution!
by Schlepcar on 2018/08/02 20:29
Perhaps this app provides good info on fare trends, but my first—and what will be my last—-time purchasing tickets on this app was a bust. Tried to take advantage of their “hacker fare”, which essentially is purchasing the two legs of a round trip ticket individually on different airlines that are currently offering the lowest one-way fares. I purchased the first leg, and seconds later found the link to the airlines’ webpage for the second leg showed a higher price than app presented. Hopper does post a disclaimer warning buyers to ensure both fares are available before buying the first leg, but it was not mentioned up front. And isn’t that the whole reason we use apps like see what fares are currently available? As it turned out, I paid exactly what I would’ve paid for a round trip ticket on a single airlines website. Another annoyance was the lag time between purchasing and email confirmation. Didn’t know if my first purchase was processed. This should be almost instantaneous as it is on many travel sites. In my experience, all the Hopper “hacker fare” provided was a stressful buying experience, in addition to NOT being able to save $90 in a flight as presented by the app.
Can’t imagine flying without hoppin
by Big Nimz on 2017/09/23 10:07
I have been using Hopper for more than a year now and I can’t imagine booking airfare without using it as a prediction tool. Hopper has saved us hundreds already by giving me push notifications when the lowest price is available. And so far it’s been 99% accurate for the flights we have booked. One time we flew to Mexico. I booked the flights. Then the next day I got a notification from Hopper that the prices dropped significantly so I was able to cancel and rebook for the savings. Also helped book flights to Aruba, Canada, Turks & Caicos and Iceland so far. Just a note here. Remember that not ALL airline information is listed in search engines like this and Kayak, especially when booking international flights. Domestic airlines such as Southwest and Delta also don’t appear so remember to do research and go directly to those airline websites. For example, for a recent trip Hopper showed cheapest was $250. But we booked for $200 on an airline that doesn’t list in Hopper or any other search engine like Kayak either. ALSO. I would recommend ALWAYS booking your flights DIRECTLY with the airline for many reasons. I don’t recommend booking via Hopper, Expedia, or any third party for many reasons. Main reason is that when you book directly you can handle things directly with the airline if you have any issues. Also. Sometimes the prices are even cheaper on the airlines website. Just do your research.
Hopper is a CON factory, never book from hopper
by Sanjay pandita on 2018/01/03 14:46
Hi all, My name is sanjay pandita . The hopper conned me so that i had to pay 600 $ more for my flight. When i complained they told me i responsible for visa even if they book my flight for any stop in between. They are conning people. I work in Tata Consultancy Services and have shared my story so that nobody from my company is Conned by them . Below is hoppers standard response so be aware , be informed and be safe. They wont bother to tell you this while booking tickets. They expect you to have visas for countries you never intended to visit so in order to make money they make stops at places that make visa mandatory but we as customers wont know it till we reach the boarding counter and then them come into pictures to con us. "I am so sorry to hear that your experience with Hopper was less than satisfactory - this is certainly not the experience we wish our users to have. Please understand that visa and immigration requirements are always 100% the user's responsibility, so I sincerely hope you don't come across this problem in the future. Please feel free to reach out to our support team with any further questions or concerns. We're always happy to help!"
No multi city/selective airlines shown
by Noggin9788663242170006 on 2018/09/30 16:25
Great concept but 2 major flaws with flights; 1. My main beef and why it’s 3/5, no multi-city option! This is a huge let down as multiple times I’ve needed to do multiple stops but it makes you do them one at a time which drastically raises the rate or you do multiple round trips and hope the times line up. Even on the support it recognizes that this isn’t available but suggests booking multiple one ways, for example a multi city between US-Japan-Vietnam-US is approx 1,300 on google multi city search where as for follow the hopper support directions the same flight pattern is 2,100. If the multi city is added I can definitely justify 5 stars but without it it just doesn’t match old fashion google (which also has price tracking) 2.Another lesser but still decent issue. Hopper excludes certain airlines that would have cheaper rates (spirit/frontier/ect.) many times I’ve gotten updates on flights only to find a cheaper flight offered by airlines not offered on here sometimes significantly cheaper.
Great customer service!
by Ashleyy134 on 2018/03/05 07:22
Seriously, this app / its employees are fantastic, some of the best customer service I’ve had. Recently I had to cancel a flight but was able to use most of the money from the canceled flight to a new flight. I thought I had to go through the airline to rebook my flight and it was going to cost $250-$300 extra, so I called hopper really late with a quick question there was no answer but I had the opportunity to leave a voicemail so I did. This morning when I woke up, I had an email with the answers I previously asked for in my voicemail along with the option to re-book with them, 3 emails later ( super easy and fast) my flight was rebooked and it only cost an extra $87. They handled everything for me and really took the anxiety out of the whole situation. Super grateful and will definitely be recommending this app to friends, family and even strangers!
Practical. Creative Interface. Try it!
by paul4791 on 2018/03/21 15:34
I've enjoyed organizing travel since 1985. I'm old enough to remember the printed Thomas Cook European train timetable, and the OAG handbook for US flights. Today, my favorite airfare search tool is the Matrix Web interface by ITA Software. There are, of course umpteen iOS apps for finding fares. Hopper is the only innovator I've seen lately. In particular, the calendar interface, with its intuitive traffic light color scheme (green = cheap, orange = more expensive, red = expensive), is the best I've seen. It reminds me of the traveler's calendar ("calendrier des voyageurs") from SNCF (French National Railways) and Air Inter/Air France. In those days, you tried to travel during the "période bleue" (blue period) in the little calendar leaflet that was published every quarter. Today, Hopper generates such a calendar dynamically, based on current fare data. Try it! The people who created it clearly know something about travel.
Not really worth it
by kirjava87 on 2018/08/27 15:46
I have heard a lot of people rave about Hopper and helpful it is. Honestly, except to watch how prices fluctuate it isn’t that helpful. The prices on the app are incorrect than what the airlines are showing. It doesn’t specify between classes. For example flying WoW to Iceland and Ireland, Wow offers your basic fare, one that includes a checked bag and a Comfy fare. You can’t tell the difference on Hopper, plus I found fares were actually cheaper on Wow than on Hopper. Google tracked flights has been much more reliable. Hopper said BOOK ASAP so I booked... prices went down $30 the next day. I’ve noticed it also doesn’t show all available flights and it doesn’t accurately reflect seats. It kept telling me only one seat was available go to the Airlines website the whole plane was still basically available. I would only use this as one of many tools when searching for cheap fares, but I certainly wont book through Hopper or rely on just it.
App well done
by GamerEdie on 2017/11/27 17:05
Hopper is great. I like to scour for deals. I don't care where I fly or when, but there are a few trips I want to take I'd the price is right. Hopper has a feature that allows for notifications without entering a date AND without entering a specific city (just a region, like "Malaysia"). What a thoughtful design!! The only feature I wish it had was a filter to exclude certain airlines. For example, I won't fly a particular airline to Bali, no matter the cost, because it's well known for damaged aircraft, capricious departure times, and stranding passengers in dangerous places without help. Just WAY too dangerous for a single woman to travel on. Of course, this airline has GREAT prices. I wish I could remove them from my search so they wouldn't trigger a great-price alert. I'm sure I'm not alone that there are airlines some won't take, or airlines some will only take.
by accentaa on 2018/08/28 19:51
Best time saver for the best deals. No confusion about third party involvement, you get an airline confirmation # immediately, and hopper charges about $5 (I think) for their service. All costs are easy to identify - no surprises. Plus, I beat my frequent flyer hubby, with his Delta connections, out on price every time. I never go through the deep search for the best pricing anymore. It’s all right there; pick your price, dates, airline, and all the variables right there on the Hopper app. Plus you can even buy the extras at the same time (baggage, upgrades, etc.) Any limitations are explained fully as well - no surprises. They even have a spot on prediction process that suggests waiting for a better price or better buy now. As long as Hopper stays this thorough and convenient I’m staying a one-stop shopper with Hopper!
Better, still unaddressed shortcomings
by Asan110 on 2018/01/11 04:18
Have booked many flights through the app; the actual booking process is a dream compared to direct through the airlines. But searching leaves much to be desired and still doesn’t give nearly enough control over dates — in particular, I may be interested *only* in evening or morning flights in the end date of my trip, if I’m trying to avoid taking time off work. The shortest option in the ‘flexible’ section you can choose is “weekends”, but this gives me results for 4-day trips like Tues-Sat. Do you understand what a WEEKEND is, Hopper? And let me blacklist specific airlines I don’t want to fly with, not just discount airlines! Lastly, PLEASE respect my locale settings—it’s very confusing trying to book travel when my iOS calendar starts on Monday but yours always starts in Sunday.

If I could give this app zero stars, I would. I was excited to download it, reading the reviews I was sure it was going to save us lots of money when buying our tickets 10 months ahead of our trip. The app’s “Price Prediction” told me for six straight weeks that the price would drop significantly around November 1st. So, because of the great reviews it has, I trusted it and waited. I was never sent any notifications regarding price drops or rises after being sure all of my notifications and settings were on. The price never dropped when November 1st came and the price predictor just changed its prediction date and rates. Now, using other, more trustworthy apps, I have found that because I waited, prices are now $50-$75 higher per ticket than they were when I first began to look and decided to trust this app. I would not recommend this app to anyone. The best one I have found is “Cheap Flights” which doesn’t have a lying price predictor.
Can’t trust this app
by Mpowell411 on 2018/01/03 15:42
I recently updated this app before leaving a review. I selected to watch a flight for a while now since this is for a cruise that I have known about for months. Every time I choose to watch flights with no layovers the app says there are no flights available and I have to modify my search. However I have been on the web and have found a non stop flight through southwest which is a major airline. If it’s not able to find this and I can I’m not sure if I can trust anything this app has to offer. I love the idea behind it but I don’t like it when companies partner with other companies and only show the information they are affiliated with and pretend they are doing people a service. This is basically an advertisement for airlines who are paying them to show up in the results. You cannot call yourself a price hopper app when you don’t include all airlines.
by Sheri_Hankins on 2018/06/11 03:25
I’ve used Hopper several times to keep an eye out for great deals on flights. Recently I booked my flight back to the states through the app instead of using a different third party company. A situation came up and I needed to change my ticket, after speaking with an agent, I was told the change would cost $210 per ticket. I had purchased one ticket yet was planning to travel with my 19 month old (on lap). $210 didn’t seem bad until the agent told me I had to pay to change my daughters “ticket” as well. I decided to hold off on making a decision until speaking directly with the airline in which the ticket was with...sure enough, they only charged $210 to change both tickets. I’m pretty disappointed in the fact of feeling like they were trying to rip me off. I’ll continue to use the app but will never purchase a ticket through them ever again.
The worst experience
by Emilmem on 2018/07/24 14:53
I should have read the review before ! Hopper app is a big con application. I was planning to fly from LA to Beijing. I called their customer service million times to ask about my ticket and no one answered. My ticket said LA -> Chengdu (18hr 40min) (one stop between, but unknown Chinese City) Chengdu -> Beijing. So what I found out at check in desk of Sichuan airline is that each Chinese city have different visa requirements. This unknown city has a policy of 24hr visa free policy, but Chengdu & Beijing have 72 hr visa free policy. So depending on your first stop of any Chinese city, that city’s policy applies for your entire trip !!! Now thinking back it makes sense why there’s no help line available right away. I even called their customer service desk few days before my flight to more find out this flight, but I was receiving “ Sorry there’s no one available to help” msg. No wonder this is a scam ticket and that’s why they make it non refundable and non changeable !
One tweak for five stars!
by punifloyd on 2018/01/11 06:15
I really like this app! I just downloaded it because I’m going to spend a semester abroad in Belgium this fall, and I want to use the opportunity to travel cheaply around Europe. Right now, I’ve set up the watch function so that I can get keep track of the best deals leaving Brussels, BUT there’s one problem... the minimum number of days I can set for a trip is 4, which I get by selecting weekend. Last I checked, the weekend is 2 days, not 4! I’ll be a full time student when I’m abroad, but cheap flights to nearby countries will make it easy to see Europe on the weekends... if I can find flights that are actually for just a weekend. I don’t want to miss too much class! Please update the app so that I can watch for 2 or 3 day trips, or tell me how to apply that setting if I’m just missing something!!
Non intuitive, poor interface, incomplete listings
by Journey4Truth on 2018/01/14 22:08
Not sure why this is getting so many favorable reviews. I gave it a try but found the interface nonintuitive, some examples being: 1. Lack of a home button so I can go back and start fresh. 2. No way to view your current watchlist so I have no idea what flights are currently being watched, and when setting a watch for certain flights, I only had the option to tap X or tap Cancel, making it seem like by doing so, I’m canceling the watch. There was no way to confirm the watch was active and indeed when I go through the same flight searches I see a prompt asking if I want to set a watch again, so it appears the previous watch I set was never saved. Just very confusing and not helpful. 3. Flight prices only cover certain airlines, it contains no Delta listings for example, which is not the fault of Hopper since Hipmunk has the same issue. However Hopper should make it CLEAR what airlines they don’t cover so we can check these airlines separately. 4. No way to clear notifications: all I can do is give them a thumbs down, which appears to do nothing, so what’s the point? Overall I wanted to like this app but way too many issues for it to be of any use to me.
Horrible experience
by mrsgrinchhh on 2018/12/22 14:11
I have used Hopper many times in the past successfully however my latest experience changed my option regarding this app. I attempted about 6 times unsuccessfully to book a reduced fare on American Airlines after being notified by Hopper that a reduced fare was available. Just got an Oops error message with no explanation why the sale would not go through after making my selections. I tried a different credit card to no avail and the last time it said that rate was no longer available and suggested choosing another flight time. Of course it did not tell me which flight was the issue. I gave up and used another app and was able to book the flights for the price I originally requested and able to get a rebate as well. I also could not find a way to contact Hopper. Total lack of customer service. Sorry Hopper, I’m done.
by TrumanHatch on 2017/09/21 06:21
Tried to book a round-trip flight through Hopper, got to the confirmation page and had a notification that said "there was an issue," but "don't worry, your card wasn't charged," so I figured it was a glitch. Tried to book the same flight, then got a notification that my credit card was declined. Turns out they had charged me Twice, and I still didn't have tickets to show for it. I called the help line, they confirmed that I did Not have tickets, nor could they give me the tickets over the phone, and they couldn't reverse the charges for 36 hours. So now my credit card is maxed out and I'll have to wait for them to delete the charges before I can buy tickets somewhere else. I wouldn't be writing this review if the help line operator had been even the slightest bit helpful or sympathetic. Terrible waste of time.
Great finding flights, terrible booking flights
by TGROW on 2017/10/10 13:13
Love this app for finding the best time to buy and researching flights. DO NOT buy tickets through them though!! I have only had headaches with trying to adjust flight plans, losing known traveler numbers (aka showing up the the airport without precheck being on there), and the worst part..... being in the last row of every single flight and leg of a flight. Every. Single. One. We booked tickets months in advance with lots of open seats, and they put us in the last row, next to the bathrooms, with no option to recline. Hopper was unable to change our seats, and since we booked through the app the airlines themselves couldn’t even change our seats when I called. I will never book another flight through this app.
Long Distance Relationship
by NattheSquash on 2018/08/20 14:01
I am in my 20s and in a long distance relationship, i waitress but while having to pay for school and other necessities, it is not easy to travel especially cheaply but thanks to the HOPPER app, there is minimal stress. You don’t have to worry about having your boarding pass, tickets etc because it is all right in your phone. They pick the best flights and cheapest, give you so many suggestions about how to find cheaper flights and explain why throughout your search. Thank You Hopper App! This is an app I don’t think I will ever delete no matter how full my storage gets 😉😅
App shockingly hard to use
by Joleeneb22 on 2018/08/29 00:21
For the life of me, I’ve never gotten the app to work in the way it was intended. The UI follows an odd, non-conventional minimalist design aesthetic which does not make adjusting filters or navigating the app intuitive. For example, I want to watch any weekend trip to San Francisco to visit a friend. In the app, you search by destination and departure, then filter your results based on a price graph. The supposed true power of the app kicks in with the ability to watch certain filtered criteria and receive alerts. However, filtering this data is shockingly limited and glitchy. When set to “weekend” the app searches “4 day trip” instead, displaying fri-tues and Thurs-mon flights. I don’t know who has four days weekends, but it certainly isn’t me. I would never consider booking through this app for this reason; I don’t think the prices it gives are trustworthy. I have also found prices through other sites, like Skyscanner, for less with the same inputs. I don’t know which airlines it includes in its searches, but it can’t be more than the competition based on my comparisons. I would like to use it for general updates and price alerts, but again, filtering is glitchy and unusable.
Inaccurate prices
by Rhee Lotter on 2018/08/23 20:11
I like that this tracks how the trends of the flight are. What I don’t like is the inaccurate pricing of this. I don’t know if they overlook budget airlines, but even if they don’t, I’ve entered flights and found flight prices on Google flights before and the lowest listing flight prices (direct, non-budget, round trip , perfectly normal flights) and the flight prices that hopper shows will sometimes be way off from the lowest listed cheapest flights. For example, a flight I had on google was listed at $380 and Hopper had it listed for over $500. Now I’m looking at a round trip flight to London for about $540 on united airlines and Hopper is showing the lowest round trip fares for the exact same date to $753.
Where's the Customer Support?
by Suzanne T. on 2018/07/26 17:18
Got good prices on flights I started tracking with Hopper 3-4 months in advance. The first flight, in June, was smooth enough, though I wasn't allowed to upgrade my seat before boarding on the return flight—even though there were upgrade options available on the airport kiosk. The reason I'm not giving 4 or 5 stars is because of today's non-existent customer support. I got a notification that the airline has changed my late-August flight times (a 20-minute-earlier departure! Argh!). Trying to contact Hopper re their policy of accepting the change on my behalf, I tried their site. Chat not available. I called and was on hold for 10 minutes (I hung up). That's not customer support.
Absolutely the best airfare app
by Ggydchfhgyufg on 2018/01/30 13:02
I kind of wish there was a web version of this amazing app. Whatevs, I get to track flight prices in real time, which is amazing. Currently trying to decide where to go for my next vacation. My wife works for a school and has specific days off, so I put in a bunch of destinations and it gives me alerts when pricing changes. It also has a great heat map for forecasting airfare prices, which makes it a good planning tool if you don’t have any planned days off yet. Been using this app for airfare for the last four years or so and it’s still the best out there.
In need of an update
by MsZTB on 2018/07/03 21:15
This app used to be my favorite. Now it is quite annoying. I have previously placed a watch on a flight. Since then, I have deleted the watch but yet I continue to receive notifications for the watch. When I select to view the price offers, nothing is there to check. This has happened for so many flight searches that I have deleted all searches and will be deleting the app. I have also received notifications for flight dates that have passed. Lastly, I have received notifications for hotel prices that I knowingly declined to receive notifications for. I know it’s technology, so my recommendation is to do an update to the configuration of the app. It’s becoming more of an annoyance than of assistance.
What every young traveler needs.

As a college student and 20 something, I always have the travel bug but am extremely price sensitive. I have used Hopper to get from Houston to Chicago, LA, and Philly. I always keep notifications on and share the app whenever possible. My gf just booked through Hopper to Detroit by watching the trip. Easy to use, great concept, and I’ve never had an issue with the app or company! I am loyal to this booking platform for sure! (I just wish they had a website as well, but understand keeping cost low to provide more value to the customer)
Awesome, easy way to save big!

I’ve used Hopper for about a year and have saved $1700+ on just 3 international flights. The app finds lesser-known options and alerts you at the optimal time to buy - and it works great! Only feedback: add more filtering options (specific departure time, airline, etc.) and also the ability to search across multiple days and airports without having to create more than one tracked search. This would be super helpful for those of us who are stuck choosing from several expensive airports! :) Otherwise, this app is perfect!
Inconsistent Advice and Low Prediction Accuracy
by Brimbert on 2018/09/28 00:20
Do your research on your flight plans before using this app. This has been the most inconsistent app, and prediction is not accurate at all. I used this app to help me plan a trip to New Orleans, and finding the cheapest flight. I used this app a month and a half outside of the travel date, and this app kept telling me to wait because prices would drop. Prices kept rising and the app still told me to wait because prices would drop. I waited two weeks before my trip, the prices only increased, and finally after ticket prices rose to over $500 round trip this app told me to buy. If you see a good price on a ticket, take your chances then and buy. Don’t waste your time using this app that will cost your arm at the end of it all.
Way too easy to buy a flight (in the good way)
by sparta93 on 2018/09/12 18:52
Super simple and easy to use. My only complaint would be that it took awhile to realize I was in hotels and not flights at first. Not sure why it defaulted to hotels since it’s a flight app. But otherwise incredibly easy to use, very enjoyable experience, the ease of browsing and the new flex feature make it super efficient to find a great flight, AND the prices are honest! No tacking on a bunch of extra fees and you see what the baggage costs right away. Totally worth the five dollar booking fee they collect.
Poor predictions
by Sdb1919 on 2017/12/20 05:56
I began using Hopper with the hopes of saving money. I used predictions from this app for two separate trips and it cost me hundreds of dollars. For example, one trip began at $1,152 for my family and hopper suggested to wait... I monitored prices weekly and they continued to climb. Hopper suggested to wait with prices varying each week.... “if you wait, plane tickets will be “$280”, then it was $320, $480, and now $570... prices far worse than they were when I first checked. This has happened on two different occasions. From now on I’m going to go against hopper’s advice and book when I feel it’s a good deal. I don’t normally leave reviews, but I thought this review may help some people save hundreds of dollars.... if it seems like a good deal, go ahead and purchase. Don’t rely on Hopper!

THIS APP IS A SCAM. I had a trip coming up and used hopper hoping the prices would come down. The app assured me the tickets (starting at 509 when I first got on) would go down to $470. So I waited of course. I had my notifications on and checked regularly and it kept telling me to wait wait wait. All of a sudden, in a day, the prices jacked up to $550 and the app told me they would get higher and I needed to book. The promise of going down never happened and instead the prices went up!!! I will never use this app again and will tell all my friends and family the same. Don’t waste your time and money!!!!! The app completely lied about the prices dropping and they in fact RISED!! I could’ve booked three months ago when I first looked for $50 less.
$3k extra in air tickets! Do not use this up!
by Yevilo on 2018/07/13 03:17
The app keeps giving me the right information. It tells me to wait to book until a certain date because the prices will drop but it never drops it keeps going up. I have used for 2 trips one to Tenerife Spain 2 people and I paid almost $800 more each when I could have bought the ticket at $750 when I first started looking for tickets. One trip to El Salvador that I paid $300 more and now one to Barcelona in September and now it’s $1200 with 17 hours of travel when I could have paid $700 or less for a direct flight! Thank you hopper for giving me the wrong information and make me spend and extra $3k in air tickets this year! My husband and I would have traveled to a few other places with that money!
Very helpful app.
by Loulom on 2018/12/27 21:15
This is a very helpful app that helps you find a good price for your airfare. They may suggest alternate cheaper dates, so it’s your responsibility to look carefully at what you’re agreeing to buy before you buy it. Hopper lets you know if you should buy now or wait because the price may drop. It’s very helpful. As with anything you buy, check what you are buying. Try not to make a mistake then expect others to save you. They try hard, but sometimes it’s the airlines that are quite rigid and hard to change.
Very accurate rate info
by Socalgal428 on 2018/07/14 19:31
I don’t book through Hopper because I used Airline credit cards and want to be sure I get my points, but I use Hopper to follow the rates and they are very accurate and so useful! I love that I can put in the dates and get a notification telling me when the best time to buy is. Be aware that by the time the fare is lowest there may also be limited seating, and that depending upon what time of day you want to leave and return, the rate may go up from the “lowest” price you see - but it’s still the best time to buy.
Great App with 1 missing feature
by ajswitz on 2018/05/16 21:51
I’m really excited about saving money with this app. It’s great that you can save flights that you’re watching and it’ll tell you what the price is and when to book! However, on the main “Watch” tab where you can see the flights you saved, you can’t see the current best price unless you click into it. There’s already some open space to the right, and it would be a great way to get a quick glimpse whether the price has changed without me having to go into every trip I save. Other than that, it’s an amazing app.
A little frustrating but will try to use it again in the future.
by sweettsunami on 2019/01/27 02:44
App is simple to use and gives you updates everyday which is useful. However every time I would try to purchase a flight it would say that there was not enough seats available when I was just buying one ticket. I eventually had to choose a different flight. Why does it show “what’s available” when it kicks you back continuously telling you it’s not available. And every time I would go back to choose another flight the flight that I wanted was still showing as available... so is it available or not???
Almost perfect
by errantmisfit on 2017/12/20 16:58
This has been my go to app for finding flights for a few years now. I’ve tried all the competitors: Hipmumk, Travelocity, Orbitz, et al. and Hopper keeps me coming back. Finding and tracking flights is dead simple and the UI isn’t over designed. It’s a must download. My one criticism is the post flight booked experience. It’s difficult to easily and elegantly transfer your new tickets to the app or site from Hopper. I would have liked to see some options for the scheduled trip (the ability to copy the record number [that used to be a feature but doesn’t seem to work anymore], a button to share the trip to other apps like TripIt or the airline apps themselves) but sadly those are missing. There’s a share button for the trip, but the output isn’t something I would really want to send to my friends and family. With those sharing options, this would be a five star app. Definitely worth the download though!
Really Good!

I tend to use other travel sites like google flights for lower prices, your typical travel sites, and even student ones for discounts. Hopper has been my favorite since it tracks flight prices days to come until your departures that these sites don’t do. My flight back home from university ranges from $200-$400 for one ways but i just bought a one way for $175 which is a first! Google Flights and other sites were listing flights for the same destination for $400!!! Hopper is definitely a MUST for travelers!
Impressed from the very first Experience and purchase
by A VERY satisfisfied user on 2018/06/05 02:52
This app is amazing! I like to travel but I’m new to this book in advance and get the best possible rate. Airline prices range WIDELY throughout the months. Hopper helped me pick a flight that was almost HALF the cost of what I was originally going to pick. Most of the hassle with trying to shop for flights at the right price is that you have the burden of checking all the time. This takes the burden out and you still get the best price! Get this freaking app right now!
Hopper helps you be creative about destinations
by SparkDSmile on 2018/03/29 02:45
I’ve been watching a trip to Greece for a while, knowing prices were around $1,300 no matter when I’d book (July trip). I decided to get creative about my path to my final destination- by watching Houston to Paris (a place close and desirable enough for me to spend a day in on my way to Greece) I was able to get alerted by Hopper about an INCREDIBLE DEAL! This morning I booked Houston to Paris for only $583 RT!!!! I can get to Greece from there for only an additional about $250, still nearly a FIVE HUNDRED DOLLAR savings! Thank you Hopper!
Inaccurate at Best
by Jd135427 on 2017/11/11 06:56
I've been watching a few different possible itineraries to Spain for months with Hopper. The app consistently told me to wait...meanwhile prices rose $400 and never was there a "book asap" notification. Last week I started getting notifications that my trip was $800 via American Airlines. Every time I clicked the notification it took me to the current fares which were between $1400 and $1800 and even still the app told me to wait. I double checked against American's site and the price was always $1900. Worth noting that I clicked on the notifications immediately every time I saw them. Sometimes the time lag was as little as 30 seconds. Not only is their fare predictor flawed, they serve notifications for fares that don't exist.
Awesome app!
by ilgeah70 on 2017/11/17 23:37
I’m reading a lot of reviews saying they cost me money blah blah blah as a consumer it’s your job to watch prices on your own along with using this app as a tool to help buy at the right time. I decided to not buy way ahead of time and give this app a shot and it saved me about 90$ per person on tickets flying to Florida from California I watched as prices rose and rose over the past few months but just as the app predicted they dropped this last week and saved me money. All in all a good tool to help the flying process
