Wonderful! Thanks for fixing LEO!!!
by HEiRAVON on 2019/05/18 23:49
Update! They fixed LEO! He is no longer backwards!!! 3 stars to 5 STARS! Thank you!!! ————old review below——————- Seriously, beautiful app, but choosing to put the LEO artwork backwards is truly disappointing! The sickle should be the framework of his roaring head, not his tail. PLEASE PLEASE FIX THIS. Still a beautiful app, but to reverse artwork so that it's now facing the opposite direction is such a buzzkill for an otherwise gorgoeus app. PLEASE REVERSE THE LEO ARTWORK.
Planet Internal Structure Not Showing
by User_C6638 on 2019/05/18 23:30
Selecting a planet, say Mars, and going to the Internal Structure tab causes the app to go into a bug loop. The internal structure will not show, and if you select to view the planet’s missions before, they’ll keep on displaying no matter what tab you go to. Seems like a display buffer is not correctly being flushed. Also, if you select a planet, go to its Internal Structure, then go back to the main view screen, and then go back again to the same planet, then the planet is very tiny and cannot be zoomed in.. and all missions, satellites have no labels. Happening for a few releases now, including the latest one (May 18, ‘19). Running iOS 12.3, on an iPhone Xs, 64 GB, and AT&T. App used to be great. Now, eh, not so much.
Excellent 5 Star App But Current Problem
by pappasbike on 2019/05/12 22:31
Update 5/12/2019 - The issue of the app freezing on the startup screen has not reappeared. The developer also responded to my review/complaint. I still view this as a 5 star app and am very happy with it. - Like a number of recent reviews the app just froze on the name screen on my phone. I’ve had this app for several years and it’s currently on an iPhone XS Max. Fortunately deleting the app and reinstalling seems to have fixed the issue. Other than this, hopefully, temporary issue anyone with an interest in astronomy should have it.
Where's the ISS?
by Quantum sorcerer on 2019/05/12 11:15
When I get notifications and tap on it, I expect to be sent to that activity. When I get a notification that the ISS is about to rise, it takes me to a star field with zero information about the station. Thanks for Nothing.
Sweet app

Outstanding
by Just-Visiting on 2019/05/07 17:11
Had a problem with a recent release. Left a review detailing my problem. The developers responded immediately. Within a few days they posted a bug fix solving my difficulties with the App. Outstanding customer service, congratulations. Btw I own three of your apps
Used to be easy to use
by chyggfjhc on 2019/05/06 01:15
I don’t know why this always happens, but these clever little developers wanna make all these great changes, but no one knows how to use them and they just get frustrated. The new skywalk is very complicated to use. All I wanna do is hold my phone up and look at the sky like I used to, but I cannot figure out how to do that. Maybe the app is malfunctioning or maybe I’m an idiot, but it’s useless to me. Too bad.
Notification spam
by J PDX on 2019/05/05 03:08
One of the worst tricks in the book is to get a notification for an advertisement. The has got to be violating some apple agreement. For that I can no longer recommend this app or the shady practices this company practices.
?! Not getting stars like I used to ⚰️

After recent IOS upgrade, not seein’ anything that makes sense. It’s busted 💣
Good app; room for improvement
by The.Lone.Ranger on 2019/04/26 07:28
Haven't used it much yet, but what I've seen so far I like for the most part. Will continue to explore and experiment. Two downsides I've noticed thus far, though, that leave room for improvement: 1- The app is pretty large. Wish it could take up a less space--perhaps by giving the option to not carry around all the fancy 3D models of things. 2- Can't find a way to turn off the constellation "artistic renditions." I just want to see the stars and the lines we draw between them, thankyouverymuch. The unavoidable presence of the additional artwork is distracting and unnecessarily cluttering when actually using the app to compare with what's overhead.

**UPDATE** Latest version won’t work
by MrMarkPgh on 2019/04/18 11:48
Now it does. Developers responded quickly, and now the app is back at the top of the heap! Thanks! Old review (Latest version won’t work on iPhone Xs running iOS 12.3. App crashes when loading. )
Great App
by ZKBean on 2019/04/16 19:53
Star Walk is a great app for teaching my kid about the night sky. It would be even nicer if it had a Siri shortcut to the AR view.
Really cool but latest version is broken

Download this app to track the Milky Way for photography. I now find myself studying the sky using this app. Has features you can buy but the free stuff is fun while it lasts.

by Stormer48 on 2019/03/27 00:45
Nice Astronomy app and easy to use. I did buy the additional content and happy that I did. I’ve had and purchased many astronomy apps over the years and kept coming back to this one.
One minor issue
by Hailey lolololol on 2019/03/26 06:27
I absolutely love this app, I use it all the time, yet there is one minor issue. Even though I click the little compass in the top left corner to use the star spotter, I cannot move my camera. The screen is stuck facing North. Everything else is fine, it’s just the star spotter is stuck. I hope this can be fixed. Maybe it’s a problem with my phone, maybe it’s a bug, i don’t know. Anyways that’s it. Thanks for reading! - your wanna be astronomer
Love it

Best star gazing app ever
Not much of an improvement
by Heart On A Sleeve on 2019/03/22 11:13
It’s definitely flash year, I like it. The music is good constellations show up well and the AR is really cool to use. But I do not like or you cannot add events to your calendar do you use to with the previous version
Very annoying and difficult to use
by Notapaidreviewer on 2019/03/22 09:37
The imagery won't stop rotating. Changing the date manually is extremely difficult to do. The ads are very annoying too. Uninstalled
Cool app
by ipod geek on 2019/03/22 02:13
My 4 year old son and I love this app. He loves space more than I do. We were using this app a few days ago and he asked to see Ganymede and Callisto (by name, Jupiter is his favorite). It's very difficult to zoom into the moons of Jupiter. I purchased all the additional content, and the moons were still not there. Could those be added (at least the ones we have imagery for) This app, if you force touch the app icon, will show you stargazing conditions. Mine shows the conditions are currently poor, yet the app sends me notifications of things to go check out. Why does it do this? It’s more like HA HA, look what you’re missing instead of being informational.
See the BIG PICTURE
by 244 Jake on 2019/03/22 02:00

Ceres
by ManWhoWantsCeresInStarWalk2 on 2019/03/19 01:27
It is A very amazing app if you love astronomy! I have one thing to say though, It needs Ceres the Dwarf Planet and now I can’t research it that well!
Trash
by loljoceyea on 2019/03/18 20:22
It’s not worth the money, it makes u pay more when u open the app just for the AR, get sky guide .. it’s the same price and better because it has many more things like articles and facts about super earths and other really legit cool stuff .

Will not update
by Black dog12 on 2019/03/18 15:36
Update 3/10/19: The response to me was vague “support team should contact you soon”. Not will but should. Well it has been over 2 weeks now not a word. Folks pay for this app, I did. What is going on. Why no word from support. Why is it still not ipdating?!? The app is good until now. I wrote support and heard nothing. The recent update will not update. Because I paid for this and have gotten no response from support I am giving it a low rating. If they will respond I will update. At this point: Buyer beware! I want to add I wrote support a few Days ago at their suggested Url and got no response which triggered this negative review. Update: Though they never did contact me directly, they did fix the app so that the update now updates. Thus the increase in rating.
Bought through App Store
by DeerSpotter on 2019/03/14 19:10
I bought through App Store for 2.99 the same price for the AIO bundle. It is saying when I open the app that I have not bought it! Yet how did I download it if I didn’t? It also isn’t restoring the purchase. Will change my review of a developer can get back to me.
Incredible
by shhwill on 2019/03/03 14:07
Best thing is the app following your phone around the sky so you can see constellations appear, next to the real stars, in real time (or time shifted if you want!). But beyond that, there is so much more. Everything I could imagine and more about the night sky, this app has.

Request to allow for recalibration!
by kmarimba on 2019/02/25 13:04
I love this app. I loved its predecessor too. But I'm getting increasingly frustrated at the app's inability to recalibrate. I tried using it this morning to show my 3-yr-old that Jupiter, Saturn, Venus, and Pluto were all in a line (more or less) but had to shift my phone a good six inches to the left to get it to display. I was trying to use the moon as a large visual reference, and no dice. I tried closing the app and relaunching when I got to work, this time using the sun as an easy reference point, and still nothing. I seem to recall that I could recalibrate the original Star Walk whenever I felt it was necessary, and now I can't find anything that lets me even check calibration settings. Extremely frustrating. This app is otherwise totally worth the cost, if I could get it to function!

New time feature
by gtpilot06 on 2019/02/17 03:39
What a piece of garbage! New version has a time feature that is too sensitive to adjust. Tap the slider lightly to go back in time and you cannot stop it! Stars and orientation start spinning around and before you know it your resetting the setting back to the default just to get your orientation back. Here’s an idea, let us type in a time and date we want to go back to. Keep working on it!
Star Walk 2

This is the best space app I’ve ever seen in my life it shows everything. And get lost in space never find my way back to Earth. It’s amazing outstanding.
Good, but too much
by Blizzard2398 on 2019/02/13 01:35
Bought this app a couple years ago and purchased all the add-ons available at the time(3 for at least $.99-$2.99 each). If we buy the app, I feel we should see everything rather than draining up to $20 into a $4 app..
Future Sunset/Sunrise doesn’t appear correct
by FourAgreements on 2019/02/13 01:02
Am I doing something incorrectly or is this app not calibrated right? I’m selecting a location and a future date and it’s showing me the sun will set 2 hours after it’s supposed to and the sunrise the next morning is also much later than what google tells me the sun should rise.

Boring delivery of great resources
by HanieO on 2019/02/03 13:37
“Sky overhead” shows a pictorial GRAPH of what is presently above. Boxes with GIFs of planets and their azimuth, etc. BORING PRESENTATION. “Hundreds of satellites” means 160 NOAA satellites plus 180 Iridium satellites displayed one at a time.
Hello Ads
by Diappointed Moon Gazer on 2019/01/31 13:54
Bought the original version of this app years ago. Then bought this version. It’s a great app, but...I hadn’t used it in awhile and opened it up this morning to see what celestial body was next to the moon. By the time I had figured it out, Venus, I had been shown 5 or 6 full screen ads, including a YouTube style video ad that I was graciously allowed to skip after 10 seconds. It’s a great app, but given the fact I purchased it, and that they offer a gazillion in-app purchases they could probably tone down the in your face constant ads. I’m sure there’s an option to pay again to disable them, but I won’t be around to find out.

Drained my battery!!!
by IamAgent47 on 2019/01/30 00:45
I have been traveling and just like most apps I have set the location services to while using the app. Star walk and night sky are other apps with the same settings as well and are also being used as widgets. However this app totally drained by battery to the point where it shows the app has used 20% of my battery in the last 10 days more than the second used app Safari at 15 but with only 1m of screen time FIX this bug ASAP!!!
Great app!!! A must when camping with the family.
by Mr. Bean. on 2019/01/28 03:28
I love this app. It’s so informational and easy to use! The only reason I’m not leaving 5 stars was that I was a bit disappointed to find out that you cannot just point and see all satellites. I just saw a satellite in the sky, but the only way I could know what it was is by digging and clicking on every single satellite in the “find” section and seeing its orbit one at a time. I never did find out what satellite I saw. I wish it was a bit like the flight radar but of satellites.
It’s hard to find constallations
by shasha_natasha on 2019/01/23 13:42
I love the look of this app but I have a hard time lining up what’s on the screen to what’s in the sky. I feel like this app has a lot of potential that I can’t tap into.
Freezing, and Payment.
by 3ggH3ad on 2019/01/22 20:33
When I open it, it freezes. All I see is “StarWalk2”. It’s doing better now. But one more thing I’m concerned about is, since I deleted the app and downloaded it back again, it told me to repurchase. Will I get charged twice?

I loved this app and it used to work great, however, today it suddenly started freezing on the title screen. I tried restarting the app, restarting my phone (iPhone 6S), and reinstalling the app, but nothing has worked to fix the problem. I still can’t get beyond the “Star Walk 2” title screen.

by Dragonriderfye1 on 2019/01/09 17:17
I am IN LOVE with this app, absolutely head over heels. It would be WONDERFUL if this app, or its sister ‘solar walk’, took this formula, and took it EVEN FARTHER! Other solar systems, other galaxies even! I realize we know less about these places, and that’s okay. It would still be awesome to see these distant solar systems mapped out like ours. Please please please?

I like the music! And the photos of the constellations are great! You can look every where and find planets, famous stars, and famous constellations! I also like how it shows the horizon. And if you take the app out on a clear night you can find the constellation wherever it is! This app is great!

It was great while it worked. I tried uninstalling, restarting phone, and reinstalling. Please don’t tell me to contact support like you have so many others. I did that but obviously you don’t have a fix, judging by all the recent complaints. Edit: support contacted me twice and the app is working perfectly. I changed my rating from 1 star to 5. Thank you!

App starts & only displays title “STAR WALK 2”
by JamesOrion on 2018/12/28 05:15
App starts then only displays title “STAR WALK 2”. I paid for the no-add version and the same result. Started app and it only displays the app title “STAR WALK 2”. Reinstalling the app did not fix it. Tried Powercycling my iPhone on and off. Did not find any solution for the problem. Hope there is a fix for this app.

iPad 9.5 pro. Downloaded the $2.99 app. Doesn’t load. Screen is black with the words starwalk2. Restarted. No good. Restarted iPad. No good. How do I get a refund?
Not working

Just downloaded (and paid for) this today and it won’t open. What iOS version is required?
App doesn’t open
by PaciGazer on 2018/12/27 23:16
Pretty frustrating to pay 2.99 and the app gets stuck on the introduction StarWalk logo. One time it got as far as the screen where you select current location or manual, but yet again, it freezes and I can’t use the app.
Won’t run

Star Walk 2 doesn’t run on my iPhone Xr. Won’t get past Location. Just frozen. Star Walk runs, but SW2 is dead out of the box. Yes, I deleted the app and re-downloaded. Still no go.

Suggestion
by kbrndy on 2018/05/08 05:24
This is a very nice, useful app. However, when I tap on a constellation or while I’m looking at the 3D view, I would like the option of turning off the picture of the mythological person/beast that appears. While using the app to look at the sky, I can choose how I want the constellations to appear, but once I tap on the constellation, the picture appears and obstructs my view. I like seeing the picture, and I love that the app includes information about the mythological person/beast, but I don’t like that the picture obstructs my view of the constellation and all that appears in it. So once I’ve seen the picture, I would like to turn it off. What I really want to see when I tap on a constellation is the boarder lines of the constellation. I.e., I want to see the region of space bordered by the constellation. Here is my reply to the developers response. I appreciate your response, but it looks like you misunderstood my suggestion. I know how to change the settings of the constellations. I mentioned this in my review, and I have my constellations set to appear with the lines connecting the stars. However, when I tap the constellation the picture still appears. This is the part I don’t like and can’t change.
Excellent, especially if you are a huge space nerd
by SPACE-BAGEL🚀🌌 on 2018/07/23 17:13
The app is designed very well, with options to change how the constellations appear (lines or actual pictures) and how many stars are visible in the sky. The music is also very nice. You do have to download packs to get information on satellites, the cores of planets, etc. but it is well worth it. The app never lags, which is fantastic, because if you are like me you get the urge to smash furniture when apps are slow. My one complaint (if you can even call it that) is that not every star has its own information. Many of the stars, when you click on their info tab, simply give the definition of a star. I understand that this is because many stars do not have much information known about them, but at the same time I’d rather not be able to recite the “a star is a luminous sphere of plasma...” spiel in my sleep. If you have read this entire review, I feel sorry for you, because you are either very very bored or a 45-year-old with severe indecisiveness.
It's amazing and very helpful.
by Space Crazy Kid on 2018/06/01 01:26
I understand that for some they just want to use it for star and constellation locating, and it's great for that. Though for others who plan on going into a field in that kind of subject is great for them to learn where everything we know of is, and how they function. It even gives those people a great understanding of the how much there really is out there. I've managed to learn so much. Even if it doesn't give you every material makeup of all the stars, galaxies, and star clusters, it's still a great source of education. I have much to learn from it, and I highly suggest getting the full deal on it. Maybe someday I'll be able to pursue my dreams, or maybe they'll just stay dreams. But as long as I keep trying my best I might be able to, and this app would have helped me so much. I just want to thank the creators for giving me a chance to study at a low cost, and helping me keep my hope that what I want to do isn't pointless.
Starwalk helps son with traumatic brain injury and epilepsy
by Raistlin's Sweetmama on 2017/12/04 03:18
This app is everything you or your loved ones could ever want if they’re as in love with space as my son with a traumatic brain injury and epilepsy is. Upon his injury at 5 years old and relearning to walk, talk, eat, and potty train; one thing he never forgot was his love of our night sky and with this app he had before and after his injury he will sit for hours in the backyard playing with the app learning about the heavenly bodies and when it’s day time he will sit inside with his great grandmother (the one that got me into loving the night sky passing it along to my son) showing her things he learned the night before and while many things are difficult for him still this app helps him in his steady quest for knowledge into our cosmos. It’s easy to use and the 3d pictorial constellations make it easier for him to learn what stars make up each constellation. Thank you for this amazing app!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Cool app
by ipod geek on 2019/03/22 02:13
My 4 year old son and I love this app.
Amazing App and Company
by 12093487465 on 2018/08/03 05:33
I personally love this app and all it includes. I myself am studying in the field of astronomy and physics and love this app. Not to mention backyard stargazing help. When I first found out there was an issue with the apps bundle purchasing, I was met with a support system that stayed with me for 3 days due to our different time schedules for it to be swiftly resolved with just a few simple steps. I do understand the ad issue if you have the free version however I do not feel $3 is asking too much and for those willing to go above and beyond an additional $3 for so much more inclusive material.
Stop with the ADS!!!!!
by Davidbiz on 2018/05/10 09:03
I enjoy the app but have had reason to question their policy of pushing their other apps. A box asking me if I wanted to download another of their apps popped up right across the screen while I was observing the Orion constellation. I was told if I dismissed it, it wouldn’t show up again. We shall see, but that’s still intrusive to the experience and shouldn’t happen. Also a list of other apps popped up on starting the app. I was told this was a “what’s new” offering. Again a list of their other apps for sale. I just want to boot the app and enjoy the experience! Stop these peddling intrusions! Especially when you’ve paid a lot for the app!...not ads!!!
A friendly suggestion!
by Emilia's on 2018/07/09 13:34
Believe me, this app is amazing. I’ve been using it for years to see the planets and stars. Although, recently I downloaded the Night Sky app, I will admit, it isn’t as good as star walk 2, but I like the music in Night Sky a little bit more than the current music. Don’t get me wrong, it’s great, but I just prefer the NS music. Would there be any way to put multiple soundtracks in the game and you can choose which music you want to hear? Kind of a silly question, but it would make me happy. Thanks for reading!
Go Outside and Look Up
by AK.dave on 2018/04/13 07:49
This is THE ONLY Astronomy app you will ever need. Go outside tonight and look up. What do you see? Star Walk 2 has the answer; and, with this app, you can see what it looked like the night you were born! Can not say enough about how much information is at your fingertips and how beautifully presented. The “night mode” feature (red screen) is perfect for protecting your night vision while sitting under the stars. When I downloaded Star Walk 2 I deleted all the other astronomy apps I had wasted my time and money on.
Absolutely LLLLOOOVVE this app!
by 2birdz on 2018/01/05 00:32
This app is amazing. You can look for specific things or notifications can alert you to something in the sky; either way what an experience. Hold it up to see what's in your sky including, my favorite, meteor showers. In December I saw the notification for the Geminid meteor shower, I ran outside and it was spectacular! If you want to know about something in particular it can be your resource and show 2D models as well. I can't say enough about all this app can do, it's worth more than every penny you spend!!!
Amazing!!!
by TIFF 11706 on 2018/04/21 18:02
We live in Hawaii and it is so cool to use this app! Thank you developers for making this incredible application. I am getting more and more interested in astronomy lately and this app has helped me so much! Our family all loves this app and we use it to have fun at night before bed. Definitely deserves a five stars except for all the adds. Other than that... exceptional work developers! One thing that I could fix would be that we already paid for this app but we are supposed to pay more if we want to get rid of the adds... I think that is very unfair to us.
Nice....
by bjduck81 on 2017/12/12 15:31
I have downloaded free apps and I have downloaded apps that cost a lot of money whenever it comes to looking at the universe. This one is really good. It shows you so much more than many others out there that usually ends up costing a lot of money. The only negative: It doesn’t show close-ups of nebulae. It will show stars; but who really wants to see a star? They are all the same besides their color. They’re either going to be blue, red, white or yellow. There’s no difference. Other than this, I really like this one. I think that is worth it, and I do recommend it.
Taurus view
by MoparMike11 on 2018/11/13 15:26
My wife and I use the Sky Walk 2 app almost every day. We have a great view of the night sky. On a recent trip to the Dominican Republic, I used my Sky Walk 2 app to watch the Taurus meteor shower. I was notified by SW2 that it could be seen that night close to midnight. We walked out on the beach, sat down, and within 10 minutes one streaked across the sky! It was the first “shooting star” my sister in law had ever seen. SW2 made me the hero of the night!!
Phenomenal!
by ManchesterNH on 2017/12/26 10:25
This app is one of the best apps I have ever bought. Without a doubt, it is worth the cost. If you have a Apple Watch, you can have notifications enabled to show you when events in the sky happen and then it uses arrows to bring your eyes towards the event. Without the watch, the app is amazing too. Better than all of the other astronomy apps out there. No brainer in getting this one. :). Thanks developers!!
Clear Sky But City Lights
by SWgazer on 2017/12/10 13:18
This app is an amazing step up from the old paper star charts. Easy to use once you familiarize yourself with the options and handy when stargazing through windows when you want to avoid the icy winter temperatures. Also, The clock/calendar feature allows you to track the progression of the planets which is helpful when viewing in urban light conditions.
Look elsewhere
by grandgeezer on 2018/12/26 21:55
You used to be able to identify basic constellations and satellites, but it appears everything is now an in-app purchase. I get that app developers like to eat too, but the perpetual hand out in an app, I believe I originally paid for (I hope I didn’t given how useless it is now) is a little obnoxious. Star walk 1 is still grand though - if you have SW1, you don’t need SW2 and if you don’t have SW1, you still have no use for SW2. The second star as: a)it’s christmas, b) the app used to be somewhat functional, and c) it’s associated with Star Walk 1 which is still a fine app.
Freezes
by yuefo on 2019/01/05 06:32
It was great while it worked. Thank you!
Remarkable Time
by henbopper on 2017/09/19 05:30
A very well done presentation of our neighboring celestial bodies in its ever-reaching distances of time. It is a record of a distant, unfathomable, remarkable sudden birth, while it has expanded and contracted with such an inconceivable strength of power. And here we are in this age of time, with our differing points of view when gazing into it, wondering...How far will we reach into it, and how long will it take to realize it's purpose?
Too many ads
by krismouse on 2018/06/19 02:39
I understand that a free app needs to be supported by ad revenue, but when I’m interrupted by half a dozen ads in as many minutes, I can’t decide whether to pay for the app. I got fed up with the ads and deleted the app before I could even figure out how to use the app. I was able to determine that the planet I saw on my walk this evening was Venus. So the app does do what it says on the tin, but the display is cluttered (animations, reflections, etc.). Figuring out how to declutter the display exceeded my patience.
Star walk
by Your everyday star gazer on 2017/09/25 04:14
I am huge on astronomy and I have to say this is this best app out there to increase what I know about what is beyond our planet. This app allows me to track the ISS,Hubble, and more. This app also tells me a superfluous amount of information about constellations that I have heard about but always wondered what they where and why we have them. I highly recommend this app to anyone.🌕🌖🌗🌘🌑🌒🌓🌔
OUT OF THIS WORLD
by Baboon monkey on 2017/10/09 01:16
Definitely worth the money. I have had the app long enough to play around with it, and it has already taught me so much about the constellations. I also recommend buying the bundle as it combines many amazing features from numerous apps to make the experience even more mesmerizing. It allows me to combine my knowledge of space and apply it on a practical level.
Hugely disappointed in the stupid ad they just put in the sky
by Migital on 2017/09/23 07:34
This app works fine and has a lot of great features, but I’ll be using a different app from now on. If you want your app to be ad supported, fine, I have no problem with that. What I have a problem with is that they now have a fictitious space ship from a stupid TV show in the sky, as part of some sweepstakes, which now makes the data and accuracy of the app suspect. They’re sacrificing accuracy for ad money. What’s next, Star Wars planets and the Death Star? Anything for a buck, right fellas?
App is freezing
by fletch48 on 2019/01/03 15:05
Love this app more than words can say but it’s frozen now. Does not open. Have restarted my phone, deleted and downloaded the app (twice) and still no go. Running latest iPhone os (is this the culprit?) and latest app update installed. Are these 2 not getting along? Best app on my phone when working but throw a little light on this glitch for me will ya? Thanks!
One of the coolest apps available
by SikesP on 2017/12/16 05:49
If you like astronomy or are just curious about the things you see in the night sky when you are looking up, this app is one I can easily recommend to anyone. The fact that you can orient your view using the app, your camera and touch screen, will make it easy to find the objects you are looking for.
Best sky observation app
by arthurdapaz on 2017/10/07 08:36
This app is really instructive, educational e also, a beautiful piece of software. I thank you to make our passion as an sky observer into a deeper level allowing us to interact with the stars with our fingers. Its really beautiful. But wait, I'm not being fair, the app has also tons os features and news inside that makes it a most have tool for sky and stars lovers.
Simply Amazing
by RealmofTruth on 2018/09/24 03:34
My kids and I just can’t get enough of this app. It’s made looking at the sky and discovering what’s out there so much fun and educational. Do yourself a favor, spend the small fee and unlock everything. It’s worth every penny. My son asked me “how did someone make this?” I believe I have a little astrologer in the making. Thanks so much for such a great app!
Best app on my iPad
by Bluejay1964 on 2017/12/20 23:48
I have had every version. The new version is by far the most pleasing to the eye. I spend more time with this than any other. I have no suggestions for improvements. It's a fantastic experience when connected to your television. Try putting yourself on an island in the south pacific and looking up at the southern cross!
Magnificent graphics.
by rodpeet on 2018/10/23 18:42
I had read lots of books since I was a young kid and this is something that I wish I had, makes me wonder all the secrets that are hidden from us. We probably will never be able to see the real size of this wonderful universe because we’re part of it. Keep the updates I love them. RL
Outstanding
by Rabmog on 2018/09/19 03:33
Absolutely love this app. I don’t know how many times I’ve opened it for friends to check out, who don’t even star watch, and they are blown away! The app offers some amazing tools for people seriously interested in opening their horizons lol and even better for introducing kids to a unknown! Well worth the money.
Where was this when I was a kid!?!
by Daveth1218 on 2017/10/19 21:42
This amazing app is so good, I expect it will turn 35% of all kids into astronomers! Oh to have had a tool this cool and accurate when I was a kid with my first $40 Celestron. This is a fantastic tool to get kids interested in astronomy, enjoy finding nighttime phenomenon and events, and even to make for a unique (not to mention romantic) date!
Definitely worth the time and money
by Adalwuulf on 2019/01/10 20:38
If you have ever wondered about the night sky but never had a chance to study it, this is for you. I never rate or review apps but this is like having a professional astronomer personally tutor you if you turn the notifications on and use the skylive feature.
Nothing Short of Awesome
by Potato on the Couch on 2018/04/21 12:03
When I purchased the app it was with minimal expectations, but the features and capabilities are beyond what I expected. I’ve only been using for less than 24hrs and I already feel I’ve gotten more than what I’ve paid for. Definitely pay for the extra features.
Awesome app!
by cilenti75 on 2018/08/29 04:46
I started this app to look at the constellations and the planets. Once I went on it it was mesmerizing! I love that once you tap on a planet it can give you some facts about the planet. I recommend you all should buy this app. No more using telescopes, USE STAR WALK 2! Star walk 2 is very helpful and again I recommend u all buy this cool app.
Good, but could be better.
by Zigenbock on 2018/08/10 14:12
After paying $2.99 for the app, I was very surprised to see they I needed to pay another $2.99 to get satellites! I don’t really think that this app is really that different to most of the other apps out there - especially when paying so much for it. One suggestion that would be really nice, is to have the satellite labels in a different color to be able to easily distinguish them.
Love it!!
by cturtle97 on 2018/08/11 01:46
Love to show things to my kids with this app. Every Summer we go to a remote Florida beach and look at the stars, planets and Milky Way. We never go to bed without seeing at least three shooting stars (meteorites). I explain to them that we and everything we see is made of stardust. Helps to keep adolescent foibles into perspective.
Really good for current viewing
by beezer1970 on 2017/09/29 13:06
Needs more precise date time setting if you want to see what the sky will look like at a certain drain past or future. The scrolling moves too easily and makes it difficult to get to a specific date/time. Also needs to be easier to turn on/off various objects.

Incredible
by shhwill on 2019/03/03 14:07
Best thing is the app following your phone around the sky so you can see constellations appear, next to the real stars, in real time (or time shifted if you want!). But beyond that, there is so much more. Everything I could imagine and more about the night sky, this app has.
Just get it.
by Jack1651 on 2018/11/19 05:06
Outstanding application for astronomy / astrophotography. I have several but this is my go-to app hands down. Very easy to use, very full-featured. Aside from not being to user-select a particular sound for a particular event, like say the ISS flying overhead, there is little to nothing I’d change.
This is Awesome
by FLEXophile on 2019/01/06 18:15
I like the music! And the photos of the constellations are great! You can look every where and find planets, famous stars, and famous constellations! I also like how it shows the horizon. And if you take the app out on a clear night you can find the constellation wherever it is! This app is great!
Out of this world

I am IN LOVE with this app, absolutely head over heels. It would be WONDERFUL if this app, or its sister ‘solar walk’, took this formula, and took it EVEN FARTHER! Other solar systems, other galaxies even! I realize we know less about these places, and that’s okay. It would still be awesome to see these distant solar systems mapped out like ours. Please please please?
Please fix-App freezes on title screen
by jbehnke747 on 2019/01/13 23:55
I loved this app and it used to work great, however, today it suddenly started freezing on the title screen. I tried restarting the app, restarting my phone (iPhone 6S), and reinstalling the app, but nothing has worked to fix the problem. I still can’t get beyond the “Star Walk 2” title screen.
Good but keeps crashing.
by Leo502728 on 2019/01/03 09:33
I like this app so much I been using it since July and the problem with it right now is it keeps crashing every time I try restarting it or re downloading it and idk why it keeps doing that maybe a little bug to fix?
A huge step up!
by sdjohnso on 2018/05/27 00:05
I owned the original Star Walk. It was great, but bow, it’s amazing! I absolutely love that I can go outside with my daughter and identify stars just by pointing my phone in the right direction. It’s super easy to use and navigating/identifying the constellations is a breeze! It’s a fantastic education tool! Highly recommend it!

star walk 2 - Night Sky Map
Description

Love it

Trash
by loljoceyea on 2019/03/18 20:22
It’s not worth the money, it makes u pay more when u open the app just for the AR, get sky guide .. it’s the same price and better because it has many more things like articles and facts about super earths and other really legit cool stuff .

Freezing, and Payment.
by 3ggH3ad on 2019/01/22 20:33
When I open it, it freezes. All I see is “StarWalk2”. It’s doing better now. But one more thing I’m concerned about is, since I deleted the app and downloaded it back again, it told me to repurchase. Will I get charged twice?

I am IN LOVE with this app, absolutely head over heels. It would be WONDERFUL if this app, or its sister ‘solar walk’, took this formula, and took it EVEN FARTHER! Other solar systems, other galaxies even! I realize we know less about these places, and that’s okay. It would still be awesome to see these distant solar systems mapped out like ours. Please please please?

by JamesOrion on 2018/12/28 05:15
App starts then only displays title “STAR WALK 2”.

Won’t run
by Dicklobb on 2018/12/27 22:25
Star Walk 2 doesn’t run on my iPhone Xr. Won’t get past Location. Just frozen. Star Walk runs, but SW2 is dead out of the box. Yes, I deleted the app and re-downloaded. Still no go.

App will not let me even pick a location...waste of $3
Suggestion
by kbrndy on 2018/05/08 05:24
This is a very nice, useful app.
Cool app
by ipod geek on 2019/03/22 02:13
My 4 year old son and I love this app.
Taurus view
by MoparMike11 on 2018/11/13 15:26
My wife and I use the Sky Walk 2 app almost every day.
