Super fun!!
by SWAGGER_FOREVER on 2020/10/22 20:30
I’ve really enjoyed playing this game! It’s a great game to work your brain and the different levels are fun and challenging! I also had a lot of fun playing the extra search games they have to earn extra prizes. I recommend that your company make another game just of the search games cause I actually enjoyed your version way more than any of the other games like it! Thank you!!
Fantastic game
by s3bisab on 2020/10/22 18:31
However, I feel like there should be an option to turn off the Win Streaks.
Haptics
by JD Chi on 2020/10/22 17:08
Love the game, but please bring back the old haptics! Really, really dislike the new interface.
Game is unwinnable
by scpretzel on 2020/10/22 02:05
Unless you’re prepared to spend money on power ups, forget about winning. It’s also not about skill. It’s purely luck or random chance depending on the board you are given. And once you advance beyond the beginning levels, the algorithm in the game makes winning a 1-2% chance. The game is designed to make you spend money. This is on top with how bloated it’s become. You have to go through half a dozen screens, sometimes more, just to play the game at times. If you enjoy being frustrated and angry, and spending money, this is the game for you. If you want something relaxing I suggest you find another game.

Fun enough but the app keeps crashing
Good, with a warning
by Annepres on 2020/10/21 18:14
The basic game of two dots is just fine. However, there are other challenges that are offered, but they are not free and there is no way to earn “gold” for playing these games; they require a purchase after the first level of free play.....otherwise it’s a fine game.
Challenging game not for kids
by Banjboy on 2020/10/21 09:29
I only play for the hidden object aspect. Will say not for kids bc my daughter can rarely find objects and there is no hint option so we’re stuck on one level for days to weeks which is why I rarely play!
Game won’t let me click levels anymore
by Looking For Moreeeee on 2020/10/21 06:11
I’m on level 337 and I suddenly cant play anymore. I love unwinding with this game and can’t now. I can’t click anything except the micro transactions. Update: I can apparently play the expedition levels that just require you to click “play” so I can play the game like once a week now...
Fun, but was difficult as level got harder
by Jean0688 on 2020/10/21 01:07
I had first started playing with this game when it first came out. It was fun in the beginning and when it’s easy, but then it started to get hard. Well some levels were easy and then got back to hard again to connect to create squares. It’s fun and enjoyable definitely. I wish they did not advance too far out in the game because sometimes I give a break I think how will I catch up to that level when I come back. I do like the little adventures too to get like boosts and awards and find the items in the picture.
Not pure anymore! Haptics are most AWFUL!!!
by Jasukest on 2020/10/20 21:59
Update 2020.10.20 the game became MORE IS MORE!!! New haptics are meaningless. Old haptics were good to confirm connected circle. But now it’s just vibrating without any reason at any single event on the screen. Draining battery for no benefit. It became highly unsatisfactory to the point I had to switch the haptics off. Shame it looks and feels like Russian style developers who do not know when to stop. Original review: Please remove all distractions. Please disable pinata. Disable treasure hunts. Disable gold caves. Disable other extras. PLEASE LEAVE PURE GAME ONLY. Trying to make more money out of game has really reduced attractiveness to zero! The game is great for exercising your brain and it is pleasantly addictive. Just without any extras please!
Ads or crashing...that’s all that’s left
by dub.a.wise on 2020/10/20 19:26
So it’s finally happened- the game has been so over saturated with ads and gimmicks that it won’t even load 75% of the time and just crashes. Do you even test the updates before unloading them? Or do you just sit back and count your coins or whatever stupid thing you’re trying to sell? Just fix the bugs, that’s literally all we ask.
Problems from latest update
by BurnTheFleet55 on 2020/10/20 16:39
Loads very slowly. Screen often goes black when ads come up and cannot get rid of it and have to restart the phone to reset game; ads are longer. Very tiresome
Too Many Popups and Instructions
by JLPress on 2020/10/20 15:44
Please make a way for users to opt out of the number of promotion popups. Some people will just never buy these extras, so give them an option to just not see them. Also, when you have the same two dots and square collection challenges every week, you don’t need to force users through an instructional wizard EVERY TIME. Same thing with the piñata prizes, flip games, and scavenger hunts. These are only needed for new users; once we’ve seen them once, we get it - it’s not rocket science. At the absolute very least, give us the option to close the wizard so we don’t have to go through the whole thing if we don’t want to. All of these add up to a colossal waste of time and a deterrent to playing.
Falsely advertising
by jesusgodsauce on 2020/10/20 13:13

Haptics bum me out
by Steph001800 on 2020/10/20 02:11
Loved this game until the update. Please bring back the option to only vibrate when you make a square!
Preview ads are misleading
by Kenstar NSH on 2020/10/19 23:53
Got served up ads showing a drawing game and when I downloaded I got the Two Dots game, which was fine but I wanted the drawing game that was shown to me.
Why
by skya56 on 2020/10/19 13:46
I really like this game except for one major problem! If I accumulated coins every level I past ....WHY must I pay for those coins. I am not able to play in the special rooms because they cost money! So I guess I will be deleting this so called FREE fun game shortly and that’s too bad because it is fun!
Haptics aren't working.
by Laura JR on 2020/10/19 02:10
I'm a big fan of this game but in the past few days, my phone feels like there are rocks rattling around inside. The haptics used to be very satisfying.
Great game

Please do more scavenger hunts!
Game is great, and special events are outstanding!
by MandyChicago83 on 2020/10/18 19:42
The gameplay is fun and endlessly enjoyable. But the highlights are the hidden object special events with beautiful and whimsical visuals that I look forward to. Wonderful game!
Awesome game
by VF1221 on 2020/10/18 14:16
Awesome game. Wish they would create a spin-off app with just hidden picture puzzles!!
The BEST

it’s relaxing and a good game... I love the music it’s calming
Entertaining but too much $$$$
by Hollieg50 on 2020/10/17 23:54
I really like this game but having to pass levels is hard, and it’s like the game forces you to buy assists to pass. I don’t like that. Not fair and disappointing.
Once was a lovely game... new haptics
by HapticsHater on 2020/10/17 11:50
I’ve been playing for years. But these new haptics are horrible. It feels like I’m pushing around a rusty shopping cart. Please return to the big vibration for squares only.
New haptics are terrible!
by rglawrence on 2020/10/17 09:50
I’m a devoted Two Dots player. It’s visually lovely and endlessly challenging. But the new haptics just added are awful. Instead of enhancing play they are completely distracting. What used to be a relaxing game to play now puts me on edge because the phone vibrates constantly, not just with moves the player makes but with anything happening on the screen. Please give us the lovely old Two Dots back!
Hate the Haptics Update
by fizzmasterflex on 2020/10/17 04:53
I really hate the new haptics update. It was fine the way it was. Now I barely wanna play. Did you beta test this and find that people actually enjoyed this much vibration? I’d like to meet these weirdos.
Terrible

Thinly disguised carnival game (“Don’t let your win streak end! Just $2.99!!”)
Need Just A Search Game!!
by wishes998 on 2020/10/17 01:29
I keep this game installed just for the “Where’s Waldo” style object find specials they do. I lost interest in the puzzle game pretty quick but I wish they would make a separate game just for the searches, I would happy even pay.
love the new update :-)
by WW Believer on 2020/10/16 18:30
the new update added little vibrations with every move. in love with it.
Too many changes
by Jenni472 on 2020/10/16 12:48
I’ve been playing two dots pretty much since the game was released. I’ve been caught up on levels and waiting for new ones to be released since about level 1500. I love the game, however recently there have been a ton of changes that I don’t love. For starters the winning streak. I understand the appeal of this, especially for newer players, however when I only have 25 new levels to play at a time, it makes them way too easy and I get through them way too fast. Also the recent update of haptics and vibrations. This one may seem odd, however it used to vibrate only when you got a square, and I loved this because it confirmed for me that I completed the square and wouldn’t release too early. Now it vibrates every move, and squares don’t vibrate more than the average move. It’s just too much and I liked the old settings better. Don’t get me wrong a ton of great features have been added over the years, but some of these things are just too much.
Great game ruined by popups
by Eatherarm on 2020/10/16 07:26
I have to dismiss so many popups that I don’t even have time for game play. I deal with paperwork and administrative blocks all day in real life, don’t want it in my games. Also, hate the new haptics
Two Dots sets the bar high!
by nickname amanda on 2020/10/16 06:52
Update: a recent update changed the haptics and the new haptics are so satisfying! Made an amazing game even more fun to play. Two Dots is a great game - many levels, challenging, fun, colorful, unique. I mainly stick with the main levels, but there are many options to play. There are new tools and additions added to the game every couple of levels. It really holds your attention and challenges you through a fun game. Highly recommend!
Hate waiting for lives, in app ads, etc.
by ()[]{return "nickname";} on 2020/10/16 04:36
Please just make a version that is a one time fee.
Changed the haptics and now I’m sad.
by SophieBebeau on 2020/10/16 04:24
I was absolutely in love with this game until they changed the haptics settings in an update. Now the choice is no vibration or vibration with every single move with is intensely unpleasant. Really wish they would go back to vibrations when a square is made only.
Too much with the haptics, but otherwise great game
by Aakkjjj on 2020/10/16 01:17
On the latest update, the haptics have increased and are too much! I liked the one buzz when you made a square! But now everything you do makes haptics on the phone and it’s just too much. There should be options for just the buzz when you make squares and then other haptics for more. Please make them an option!
Too much extra junk
by thequickening on 2020/10/16 01:04
Game was more enjoyable when it was simpler
New Haptics? What the hell?
by Calendar-less :( on 2020/10/15 21:44
I’ve managed to look past all the extra “spend more money” “look here and get distracted!” etc nonsense that’s been slowly getting added over the last few months (or years)? But at least the gameplay was still fun and satisfying, but now... the new additional haptics are atrocious. The old “vibration” option that would have a few haptics here and there when completing a square (or using a power up that did something similar to completing a square) was quite satisfying. Now that you’ve got all these other random wiggles and other nonsense happening under your finger, it’s just too, too much. And, it’s probably going to waste more battery in the process, too. If for some people they think the extra haptics are actually useful (maybe it’s helpful with someone with less mobility), then fine. But don’t bundle the option with the old, existing square completion haptics. Make it TWO SEPARATE options.
Please make Streaks optional!
by NotVapid on 2020/10/15 18:07
I love Two Dots. I have been playing it since it was a new game that launched on the App Store, and I still love it after all this time. My biggest complaint is the Streaks, where you are automatically given a bonus at the start of a new level if you’ve beaten the one before. I like to play without power-ups, but the only way to do that is to give up a life to clear the Streak. Please make the Streak bonus an optional thing! It’s been an issue for months and it takes a lot of fun out of the game for me. Thanks!
Not bad but some negatives
by SgtDan88 on 2020/10/15 15:55
Overall I like the game but there’s a few issues. One, there are some levels that are almost impossible to complete without an in-app purchase. There should be ways to collect coins in the app, whether it’s through watching ads or completing challenges or anything along those lines. Second, they recently changed the haptic feedback. It’s more prevalent and honestly it’s annoying. However, the haptic vibration when you complete a square has always been there and was a great option. There’s no way to select what actions have a haptic response, there’s only an on/off selector for ALL haptics.
Mislead by ads
by Literary Phantom on 2020/10/15 05:56
I was shown the Facebook ad that made this game seem like a bunch of brain teasers. This is not at all what I was looking for.
Loved it for a good while
by Francesca De Grandis on 2020/10/15 04:52
I adored this game and played it constantly until about level 251. Then I deleted it. At first, I loved that it challenged me, sharpening my mind. And the learning curve was perfect. It was so much fun figuring out what to do to win a level that I didn’t mind how many attempts it took. But eventually the learning curve jumped from incremental to so steep that the game became hard work instead of fun. Instead of getting to figure out a handful of things at a time, I suddenly had to figure out too much too fast in order to get anything done, so stayed stuck without being able to figure out much at all. I was in over my head. No fun! Level 249 took way too long, even though I looked online at other gamers’ tips. When I finally won, I did have a sense of satisfaction but was also looking forward to some easier games for a bit. But within a few games, the learning curve was too rough again. It is a great game, and I’m glad I played it. I imagine people who are better at this sort of stuff will enjoy the game at levels past where I went.
Terrible After Updates
by Sumth1ng Amazing on 2020/10/14 23:11
This game used to be relaxing and enjoyable, but after some recent updates, it takes 5 minutes just to get to the next puzzle. If you want to spend your time desperately searching for the ‘x’ icon in ads, then this is the game for you! Otherwise, don’t bother downloading it.
Beautiful design, no forced ads
by browneyedfili on 2020/10/14 15:13
This is a wonderful game. Very challenging, but still enjoyable. There are no forced ads and when you choose to view an ad to get a booster, it automatically mutes the ad which is nice. I really only have one complaint, which is the “gold” element of the game. Apparently you need gold to play the scavenger/hidden object part of the game and they give you gold to start out with but then you never can earn it again? You have to pay real money for that. So that’s unfortunate because as others have said, the hidden object game element is really good. It reminds me of those Highlights books you got as a child, but animated. I will keep the game to play the “dots” part of it, but I really wish I could play the hidden object part too.
BEST GAME EVER
by marthacobian on 2020/10/14 05:05
I have been playing for more than 4 years. Its the best game!!!!
I love this game but...
by Pavophobia on 2020/10/14 02:11
.... there’s only one way to get coins aside from the ones they give you in the beginning, and that’s by paying.
Beware
by knbskai on 2020/10/14 01:16
Be careful- if the game glitches and you need to re-download it make sure you create an account first to save your progress or everything you’ve done will be deleted forever.

by munster hubby on 2020/10/13 19:50
I’ve been playing a lot of these games. I’m 68 years old and I really enjoy playing them since I had to retire eight years ago. But, I have to say that I’m not that enthused about this game. Maybe it’s just right for those that are much younger. Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t that bad, just not for me and this is why I rated it a one star. Hope you have a great day and I’ll recommend it to my younger grandchildren ...
No way to earn coins to play HO parts of game
by $ladydi!! on 2020/10/13 09:16
This lured me in with the offer of hidden object games. They give you a few coins to start with but the only way to get more coins to play more HO games is to buy them. Not interested in spending a lot of $. Sadly cannot recommend.
Coins
by schrommy33 on 2020/10/12 23:20
I love this game but there needs to be a better coin system without paying money. Perhaps some coins every ten levels or so.
Scavenger Hunt Better Than Actual Game
by cheshirexcat19 on 2020/10/12 20:15
Only reason I’m even writing this review and giving 5 stars is because the scavenger hunt mini games are super fun. I wish these were there own stand alone game, as the actual game itself isn’t that fun to me (from reading other reviews I’m not alone in this). The animations are great as well. Developers - PLEASE create a stand alone version of the scavenger hunt mini games. I know I’m not alone in saying I’d gladly pay for a game like the mini games.

Lovely, engaging but it crashes too much
by OberonG on 2020/10/12 06:42
I can’t even start the game today. Just watching the loading screen over and over again
Too expensive
by GoldenNeugdae on 2020/10/12 03:35
My favorite part of the game is the scavenger hunt mini, but I need 15 coins to keep playing. I can’t seem to win the coins through playing the actual game, so I have to buy them. Seems unfair.
Way too bloated
by lgsoltek on 2020/10/12 03:03
This game used to be simple and fun. Then they start adding more and more things into it. Scavenger hunt, tiles, streaks... The game becomes more and more bloated. For every level I play there are at least two pop-ups. These constant pop-ups are often not dismissible and you have to wait till the animation finishes (eg. when there’s a new scavenger hunt). It just stops being fun. I missed the old simple versions of it. I really dislike this way too bloated version now. Why can’t they put these new functions into a separate game?
Problems

Too much
by casmafen on 2020/10/11 18:08
Impossible to just play the game. They keep adding too much. I want to click on a level and play. Not get redirected to new games or side quests. Extremely annoying and enough to keep me from coming back.
PAY PAY PAY
by ArtopiaGal on 2020/10/11 16:07
This game is impossible to win without advantages, which cost you real money. At first, I paid for the advantages but after spending $7 in just an hour of playing, I quickly realized this game is fixed in a way that will not allow you to “win” advantages, so you have to pay for them to win. It’s a vicious cycle. So, have a lot of money on hand if you like to win.
Long time player now done
by Make mine intense! on 2020/10/11 12:28
I’ve been playing two dots for years, often excitedly waiting for new levels to be released because I had played them all. Recently, over the last several months, I noticed double charges for in app purchases that I very occasionally make (Gold Mine). iTunes Store would refund the incorrect charge. But a couple of days ago, I was charged four times for a purchase! Because of the game mechanics, a purchase that would have been impossible to make absent a glitch or fraud. For some reason, now iTunes won’t refund. Two Dots says that only iTunes can make that call . . . Hmmm. Talk about a money grab. Glad it isn’t much. But I won’t be playing any longer for the principal of it. Learn from my mistake - Don’t make in app purchase but if you do, check your receipts!
Love the scavenger hunt mini game
by rhqllq5000 on 2020/10/10 23:30
Two dots is fun, but I love the new little scavenger hunt levels they’ve been adding. I wish that was a standalone game! So good!

by breezycheezy25 on 2020/10/10 11:26
I literally don’t even play the main game, I just had to review the search and find “mini game” I guess you’d call it. It’s my favorite way to kill time. It can be pretty challenging, the artwork and animation is absolutely adorable. I only wish they’d do more maps, or even make an app just for it!
Mini games are dope

The new Halloween update does not work. I was able to complete the spooky soirée last week. But as of yesterday, I can click on play but that’s it, the levels don’t work, treasure hunt doesn’t work. Rewind doesn’t work. I’ve played this game for about 5 yrs now and never had this happen before.
cost money :(
by Not Stig on 2020/10/09 13:14
i love this game! but there is NO way to get coins other than buy them, which i understand is the way of mobile games, but i’m not interested in paying for them. wish they would implement a level reward, watch an ad or daily reward to earn even a little bit of coins. a lot of fun otherwise, but a lot of games incorporate a way to earn free in game currency, this is not one of those games.
Crashes regularly
by XOXO CG on 2020/10/08 23:01
I find that this app crashes pretty regularly and I have to start over yet again. This time I was in the 800 levels after having worked my way back up from Level 1 over the summer. The app used to pick back up from the previous levels when you deleted and downloaded it again. Now it starts completely over again. Super frustrating. Earlier versions of the app were much more stable. I’ve also noticed that the app “ cheats” more and more and frequently doesn’t recognize when I create a square.

I think the creators of two dots should make a separate app for the scavenger hunts bc it’s honestly better than the actual game
More time on an expeditions please!
by DonaldDuckandfriends on 2020/10/08 19:10
I’ve been playing this game for a very long time and one thing that boils me up right now with the game is that there’s not enough time for the expedition like there is for the treasure hunt, they have a lot of time for The treasure hunt and the rewind but not that much time for the expedition!!! I would like for there to be a longer time to play the expedition please!!!!

by Phoenix_on_fire on 2020/10/08 11:47
I don’t know how enough people can deal with ads and pop ups to give this 4.6 stars. I just counted 13 screens pop up to try to sell me an in app purchase. By the time I got to the game, I decided it’s not worth all that nonsense. I didn’t want to play anymore, so I deleted it. Besides the game is just okay. I’d rather play flow or something that is able to be solved than to just make squares that get rid of dots just to get more dots appear. Maybe if I had played beyond level 16 it would’ve gotten better but the pop ups stopped that from happening.
I really like it, but....
by Duchess475 on 2020/10/08 10:11
I just downloaded the game, and I really enjoy playing it. I really like playing the scavenger hunts, but they cost gold. They gave me a certain amount in the beginning, but now I have one left, and I would have to spend real money to get more. I really wish there was a way to get free gold.
Sound control during ads doesn’t work
by BG_0505 on 2020/10/08 10:06
1 star review until resolved. If my phone is on silent mode, sound still plays during some ads. Also, “mute” button doesn’t work during some ads.
The scavenger hunt is my fav part
by slacker33 on 2020/10/08 04:01
I’ve played this game for years. Been through th many iterations of it and how you monetized various parts of it. I play less because of the monetization tbh. But there is one aspect of this game that is addicting and there is nothing quite like it anywhere out there: the monthly (quarterly?) scavenger hunt. It’s not even the main game. But it is amazing. If you were to release a separate two dots scavenger hunt game, I’d not only pay money for it, I’d play it nonstop. Obsessed. And I know I’m not the only one. So this is an appeal to the two dots makers to make that game. And I’ll give THAT one 5 stars.
Please fix the scavenger hunt

I love this game!!! However, the October scavenger hunt is missing one of the creepy branches. :(

Cluttered mess
by TheDelayFish on 2020/10/07 17:41
Every version of this game gets worse as they add more junk. More things to tap through, more slow animations to wait for, and none of it improves the game. Take the goldmine for instance: you wait for gold to fill up after every level whether you use it or not. The leaderboard is the latest and it’s a awful. Constant interruptions that try to add stress to the levels with no way to skip it or turn if off. They even force you to tap through several screens with no cancel button. Just awful. Makes we want to play the game less and less.
RNG Skinner box. Fun at first, but...
by peteer01 on 2020/10/07 01:46
There’s a series of levels in between levels 20 and 80 where skills and thought will allow you to clear levels where mindless swiping won’t. But it’s brief moments. The this game loves to hit you with power-ups, daily rewards, streak bonus events and all the other distractions that keep you from looking at this as a poorly designed puzzle game that relies more on using power-ups to clear otherwise impossible levels that RNG luck. And RNG luck is more important than skill. You can easily play the same level a dozen times over multiple days (or watch ads for power up, or watch ads for more lives, etc) but literally never have a chance of winning because the random colors that are dropped do not make it possible to hit the clear requirements no matter how you play. Yes, I’m sitting on a hundred power ups right now. No, I don’t watch ads for power ups or lives or anything else. But what’s clear is that there is no game here for someone who just wants to play the game. The “game” is designed to get you using power ups to clear levels you otherwise can’t. To keep that streak bonus going so you start each new level with a huge starting advantage. You’re supposed to feel good about keeping that streak alive and getting through levels with some clever power up usage. And then you run out of power ups. Want to buy more? There are lots of ways to get power ups! Daily rewards, real money, watching ads! Obviously the game wants to steer people towards generating revenue for them, either by watching ads or buying power ups. But here’s the problem: There’s no playable game underneath that. There is no game for someone who just wants to match colors. You’re going to beat your head repeatedly against unbeatable levels until a random number generator decides to grace you with the squares you need each new drop to advance. You don’t advance because you played the game well, you don’t advance because of skill, any progress you have in this game will be because of either luck or money the developers generate as they pull ad views and purchases from you under the guise of a game you can’t win without giving them money. Cute art, some good ideas, a bit of mindless fun, but actually worth putting any time into.
Addictive
by simmions10 on 2020/10/06 21:22
Love this game and love the scavenger hunts. I do not like that I have to pay to play more than 2 levels of the scavenger hunt. Any thoughts in just creating a scavenger hunt game app?
Love this game!
by Lola_MarieB on 2020/10/06 20:53
I love this game! It’s very relaxing with a beautiful design. I REALLY LIKE the scavenger mini-games that come up seasonally. I would love to have an app just for that game!
Great game, wish there was a little more
by Kwhitney999 on 2020/10/06 19:09
This game is addicting and amazing! I just wish they would make the mini game Scavenger Hunt into an actual app or have it available all the time. I also wish when you purchase more coins and use them towards something, you’re able to always use that item you purchased. For example, if you purchase more maps for the Scavenger Hunt, once you’ve completed all the maps, you’re unable to go back and do them over if you’d like to. Sometimes I wish I could go back and do the maps over. In the actual game you’re able to re-do any level you’d like and I wish that was the same for Scavenger Hunt. I’d pay every month to have the Scavenger Hunt an actual app/game available all the time.
Could be great
by C-Dog9807 on 2020/10/06 04:14
This is a great game but there are so much crap and pop ups advertising I don’t even know what because I don’t care. Just let people play your game.
Ridiculous new user experience
by Johnnydoyle 73737 on 2020/10/06 04:08
This is a fun and relaxing game, but the new user experience is absurd. After a recent update I had to tap TWELVE different times just to get out of the string of announcements, tutorials, and other junk. If you need me to tap on tutorials twelve times just to play the game, maybe rethink how you’re designing the interface. It should not be this complicated.
Love this game
by Bperezxx on 2020/10/06 02:51
I really love the find the hidden objects part. I would love to see a game developed by you guys mainly about finding hidden objects just like the ones in this one. Very creative. Lots of detail.
Can’t I Just Play the Game!?
by JessaLRynn on 2020/10/06 01:30
This game has a lot of side features, background quests, and random things that aren’t part of the main game. It would be fine if you could just close them or ignore them but you literally cannot play anything without fighting through all their clever extras. If you want a minimalist game to play as a time waster, a game with all these side-quests is just taking too much extra time.
Calm Down
by El River on 2020/10/05 19:43
I’ve been playing this game since it first came out. Does that make me sound old? Anyways, this is a great game to play during a subway ride - the commute to and from work, sitting in a waiting room, or having a “business meeting” in the Porcelain Conference Room. But good God - you have so much crap that pops up whenever you open the app, that my business meeting is over by the time I get to the next level on the map! You should have a button to skip through ALL of it so I can play ANY of it before someone knocks on the door checking if I’m okay ‘cause “you’ve been in there a while now.”
Pathetic amount of pop-ups
by yourmomscooch on 2020/10/05 09:53
The game itself is fun and challenging, yes. But the reason I’m compelled to actually post a review is the absurd amount of non-dismissible pop-ups throughout the game. Let me just play the puzzles. No I don’t care about a new avatar. No I don’t care about a side treasure mission, mystery doors, find the skeleton key games, pointless animations, or whatever other nonsense you are trying to get me to click in an attempt to stay relevant. It’s shameful.
Can’t earn gold
by droolz_415 on 2020/10/05 05:39
The dot part of game is fun but I enjoyed the scavenger hunts more. What I hated is that you can’t earn the gold coins necessary to continue playing after the first few levels, you have to buy them. As much as I liked the game I don’t want to have to pay to continue playing so I deleted the app.
Amazing, Beautiful, and Addicting!
by Im so smart on 2020/03/25 05:15
I’ve been playing two dots for a year now and it is such a beautiful game that puts your advanced thinking skills to the test- like chess. It’s such a fun and creative spin on the normal dot matching games! Firstly, it makes me sad to read some of these negative reviews. Are there ads? Yes. HOWEVER- I have never once seen an ad without choosing to do so. Where as on games like Words with friends you’re forced to watch the ads because they are always on the screen and play automatically. For me, the 5-30 second ad is worth it for me. If it’s not worth it, you don’t have to watch it. Next, I’ve gotten to level ~640 on my own, with plenty of free power ups and special moves, without buying them. It is very tempting, and they do advertise it a lot, but at the same time I think “buying to win” would take away the fun, strategic atmosphere to the game. Finally, there are a lot more features to the game than just the dot matching levels, (the “flip” games, the “find waldo,” and the special levels) personally I don’t play them too often, but I do see how some people get annoyed with all the new features, it is slightly overwhelming on the main screen. Overall, an addicting and fun game. Download it and see for yourself. I dare you.
Entertaining but sometimes problematic
by mckennabear09 on 2020/06/16 19:40
I found this game to be really entertaining and a good way to exercise the mind. I do have some problems with it though. For most levels one must arrange the dots to form squares, and use those squares to eliminate many dots at once. But there are things that get in the way of forming squares and make completing the level near impossible. I‘ve found that, for many levels, if one makes a single wrong move then making squares isn’t doable for the rest of the level. The game doesn’t seem to supply the dots in a way that gives the player another chance to make a square. Basically, the player is stuck swiping at random dot arrangements for the rest of the level until they inevitably lose. Another thing I really dislike are the win streak „boosts“. If the player wins a single level they will get a win streak. This comes with boost dots that, when eliminated, will eliminate many other dots at once. The thing that bugs me is that the boost actually gets in the way of finishing the tasks. It eliminates random dots in a way that isn’t helpful to making squares, so you’re stuck again just swiping at random dots. I actually sacrifice my lives and restart levels often just so I can get rid of the boost. So yeah. I‘m only writing this super long review because I wish the game designers could change these features to make the game more enjoyable. I already like it a lot, I just wish it were easier to play in these ways.
Distraction from Beauty
by iguessthatskindaneat on 2020/04/25 06:17
I bought this game ages ago and was quite happy to rediscover it. Despite being very beautiful, and having the potential to be a fantastic and relaxing game, I’ve found that over time the app has more or less transformed into a add riddled and somewhat chaotic mess. Marketing itself as a “minimalist” game may have been true a few years ago but due to all the pop ups and constant requests to either rate the app or pay for different features, the adjective no longer rings true. Updates in an app are indeed a great way to stay current but it can be difficult to enjoy with the constant bombardments of varying new quests and tasks. Regardless, I can understand why this type of content is coming into popularity as young children and those with ADHD are gaining access to technology rapidly. I concede that perhaps this game is not for me personally, as it is abundantly clear by other reviews that people enjoy it. I’m simply here to leave suggestion that perhaps a more relaxed approach has the potential to make the app better. I am very happy to amend my review if it bares anyone any ill will and the one star was meant only to get the attention of the developers. I do think this game deserves more praise than I have given it for the art effort that was clearly put into its creation. With that said, I will leave my review here. If anyone takes the time to read this I appreciate it.

I discovered Two Dots quite a while ago, and I have come to love this game. Unlike other games of the same genre, it’s not pure luck. As you play the game and advance levels, you learn how to strategize. One of my favorite parts about Two Dots’ setup is that boosters and cheats are easily obtained for free. If you need a little help on one of the harder levels, you can use a cheat without worrying about consuming your one-time allowance. The design is clean, sleek, and easy to navigate. I love that they don’t automatically give in-depth tutorials on new dots and what they do. It’s interesting to play around with it and discover the mechanics for yourself. For those of you left confused and needing more of an explanation, there’s a tutorials tab that gives you more of an idea what you’re dealing with. The game has different sections, which is an attractive concept considering I didn’t really like the monster dot section. The sections after that have been much more enjoyable to play, and I haven’t encountered a demonic dot since. 😈 The game developers provide updates with new content every week, which both squashes annoying bugs and gives players new material. Tom sum it up, I’m addicted.
Used to be better
by Kumitekat on 2020/08/02 14:23
The game developers have become confused about who their audience is in the last year or so. This is a casual puzzle game for people who like to think through complicated puzzles and take a break maybe from other stressors in life. I find the puzzles relaxing. But recently, there have been so many bells and whistles added to make it flashier, and to encourage people to spend money, I assume, that the relaxing aspect has diminished. Trying to make the game more exciting has taken away from the original selling points. Also, all the windows that pop up up now before I can start the next puzzle have become annoying. I am still able to play the game, but I am not as big a fan as I used to be and my interest wanes when I get too annoyed with all the pop ups. I don’t know if all players would agree, but I would rather pay a small amount to open new worlds, say $0.50, than have all this constant noise about spending money interrupting my game play. I don’t want to pay to solve the puzzle because that defeats the purpose of it being a puzzle. I also don’t much care for giving me automatic boosts at the beginning of a puzzle...I prefer to solve the puzzle on my own. Solving it is where the reward comes from in a puzzle game. I will keep playing until developer greed gets too large and the puzzles are no longer fun....you are getting close.
Latest couple updates reducing minimalist charm
by Erinnium on 2019/12/16 15:18
I’ve been playing TwoDots for 4 years now and I love the game. It’s minimalist, very relaxing, and I play it almost every night as I’m falling asleep. However, the last couple updates have been pretty terrible. There are more and more popups asking you to purchase coins, making it so that every time you open the app or finish a level you have to close out 3 different windows before actually getting to the game or home screen. The latest annoyance, the “win streak”, offers terrible power-ups that often prevent you from getting squares from the start of a level and thus make it unwinnable. When asked “Are you sure you want to give up? You will lose your win streak!” I often am grateful to lose it because the power ups have cost me so many games. The more popups and attachments and bells and whistles you add to the game the more charm it loses since one of the biggest draws is how minimalist it is. The past year has seen update after update challenge this minimalism, making the game less relaxing and more stressful. Because of this, it has become harder to play before bed and I have been using the app much less than in the past. If you don’t want to lose long-time players I would advise minimizing the in-game popups and ditching the win streaks altogether. I don’t need a “piñata party” every time I play and I definitely don’t need a “win streak” meter.
Beauty, then the Beast
by Shane Anigan on 2020/07/03 15:37
I’ve been a longtime player of Two Dots, from back when it circulated around on a post of calming games. Like a lot of people, I was charmed with its simple design, its playability, and its challenging but rewarding levels. Sometimes I’d play for two hours and not notice any time had passed! Now, it’s an unnavigable mess that’s completely pay-to-win. Everything is a money grab, and even the new features I liked (the new Where’s Waldo-esque search puzzles) ended up locking me out because I wouldn’t pay for more gold, or the godforsaken gold mine, to keep playing. Every single puzzle could probably be solved in a minute if you’re willing to fork over dollar after dollar. Trying to keep track of the new puzzle features is a headache as well, and I can’t get behind consulting an off-app compendium to see how I’m supposed to solve something when the initial draw of the whole game was... minimalism. That, and why bother learning how to solve it when, again, you can just pay $5 or more and solve it in a few taps? I know people have to make money somehow, but this seems extreme if they’re locking players out of certain features. It is still a beautiful game, and I enjoyed some of the Pride-themed puzzles recently, but I’m probably going to end up deleting this app. The user experience feels rotten now and it just comes across as a cash grab wrapped in pretty packaging.
Great game but...
by MattMann64 on 2020/08/10 08:48
I have been playing two dots since it came out I think 5/6 years ago? Point is I’ve been playing it a long time. I’d take long breaks so I could play it more often because I kept getting to the end of the game and I had to wait for updates. I have no complaints about that I don’t think y’all should work any faster. I am sad about the most recent updates though. I miss the doors in the beginning and I miss being able to look forward but now it’s blocked off so I have to get to those levels to see. I understand that might make it more intriguing and I might just be upset because I’ve liked it that way for so long. For me I just am sad I can’t see new beautiful art and see/guess what new things those levels will hold. I’m also not a huge fan of the whole coin system. There isn’t anyway to get the coins! You just have to buy them with real money. I guess that makes more money for you guys but it’s just annoying. I think there should be an option to buy a bunch but also a way to get coins like you get 5 or something every time you pass a section and get a postcard. Or be able to win them in treasure hunts or something. Overall beautiful and fun game I just wish there was a couple changes.
So fun!
by hanniemichaust on 2019/10/12 15:05
I’ve been playing this game for a few years because it is so addicting and fun! Each update and addition has only improved the game and made it more enjoyable. I love that you can choose when to watch an ad, and that for the main game play you don’t have to purchase anything to continue. I only have two critiques. The first is that the levels have gotten significantly harder somewhere around level 1500, where even introductory levels to new dots are difficult to win in the first couple tries, as well as the levels that aren’t labeled as hard or ultra hard. They should be much simpler and easier to win. Being stuck on a level for a month or more is discouraging and sometimes makes me take a break from the game for a while. The other critique I have is that I would love to see the hidden objects mini game turn into its own game. I like it SO MUCH better than any other hidden objects games I’ve found on the App Store, but when it shows up in Two Dots I beat the levels quickly and have to pay to play past level 2. I’d love to see this as it’s own game. Aside from those two things this game is the best in the market!
Most Important Tip: Keep Trying
by Ratskul on 2018/07/03 18:53
When I first started playing this game, around when it first came out, some of the levels seemed impassible, and eventually I got frustrated and deleted it. I started playing again a few months ago and it seems different in a better way. I feel like the levels are more randomized and aren’t exactly the same each time you play the same one. On some of them it might take dozens of attempts, but I feel like if I play a level long enough, eventually I’ll get a random free booster or something will happen that will finally let me beat it. I’ve learned to just keep trying, even on the ultra hard levels, and eventually I’ll pass it. My girlfriend is in the high 800s of this game now (I’m only on 178) so I know I just gotta keep trying! One suggestion for the makers though - I think it would be cool if you could buy the “infinite lives” perk and be able to activate it at a later time so you could wait for that perfect moment when you actually have a bunch of time to kill like on a long flight or something.
Crashing my IPhone
by Fui trchioiytgi on 2020/04/22 20:31
- This game keeps causing my phone to overheat and crash. It seems to be an app issue because I have plenty of storage space. This app drains the battery and I feel like any time I want to play it I have to make sure my phone is plugged in. I have no other app that causes this. The game itself lags. It especially crashes when clicking on the videos for free boosts. It’s just a plain black screen that I need to close out and then reopen the app— almost every time I click the “watch video for boost” option. Thus—the boost is not applied and I have to go back into the game and level. The boosts themselves are problematic and most free boosts actually don’t help you—other reviewers have commented on this problem. Also—what is the point of rewarding coins if those coins have to then be bought? Yes—keys can be used to buy some of the power ups but not all of them. It’s disappointing that as I have continued to play this game (please stop asking if I want to link it to Facebook) it’s become more apparent that the app is only interested in adds and getting you to buy more coins. While recognizing that the app has at least acknowledged quarantine and allowing unlimited hearts it still seems to be like most apps—all about profit.
This new update has messed up everything
by Frustrating 2456 on 2018/01/24 06:19
I used to LOVE this game and spend hours upon hours every tuesday over-completing expeditions to get lucky chests and basecamps. Now, however, the basecamp system has gone haywire. Instead of the expected rewards from each camp. Certain camps will give 6 tickets??? 6 tickets won't even fit on the ledger for extra tickets in an expedition so 3 of those are completely gone to waste. Also, basecamps give out keys now?? I am sorry but keys are completely useless, especially since they give only booster boxes and no other power up. And NOW the booster boxes they give aren't even permanent. Im sorry but if daily doors (which are also overrun with keys) and lucky chests (which only appear by chance during a weekly 48hr window) are the only ways to get useful powerups now, then I'm done with this game. It was scarce enough already as a free to play player, now its just ridiculous. And another complaint. Why are previous powerups not saved when you uninstall the app, but your progress is saved? I think the items I work hard for should be stored when my phone crashes or gets lost. I had 15 of each powerup that i had saved over months, and when my phone was stolen it was all gone. I love this game but these changes are so disheartening so I will be uninstalling until a patch is made.
Well designed, compelling game
by c4hfam on 2019/05/19 21:13
I’ve been playing this game for years, and for the most part I like how they update it. I like that they add new level features and combine them with old features. I like that I’m limited to five lives (three for rewind games) to prevent me from playing for too long. I like that there are new challenges three times a week since I stay caught up on the levels at 3 stars so I wouldn’t otherwise get new content most weeks. I don’t like the bonuses that apply only to playing new levels since staying caught up means I often have no new levels available to earn the bonuses before they expire. If any educators are reading this, this game demonstrates lots of great features to gamify learning. In early levels, you get rewarded for things that are required as a matter of course in later levels, like learning to count before you add and learning to add before you multiply. It’s also intrinsically compelling and it includes extrinsic rewards to keep you pushing forward. Well done, developers!
Heartbroken
by Creophoto on 2018/11/17 22:14
This app is the ultimate lesson in economics. What was once a beautiful, calming, and well designed piece of art is now nothing more than a thinly vailed money grab. I have been here since the beginning. Before Two Dots there was just Dots, and I can remember how stoked I was to get a 700+ score in the timed mode of that game. That was, sheesh, probably 5 years ago. That they’ve kept me on the hook for so long with a 2D phone game is nothing short of brilliant. When they put TwoDots out, I was floored. I was continually amazed by the frequent, creative expansions on the same basic principle. Slowly but surely however, I began to notice a trend. Victory could only be had after a certain number of ads were seen. I would be kept one move away from victory until I was on my very last life. If I did use a booster, and was on track to win, I would suddenly be given an impossible field to play (must sink 10 anchors, but even after 5 moves no new anchors appear). If I hadn’t used a booster box or seen an ad in some time, I could not win. Those are just a few examples. Somewhere along the way the investors and finance department took control of this team. And it became less about making a fun game anymore about creating insidious ways to coerce micro transactions. You have been warned.
New 5th Anniversary Gamemode Bug
by TylerHLS on 2019/06/03 21:31
After fully completing 1 bingo sheet and being about halfway done with all of the bingo levels, after completing a level in the 4th year sheet, my game was stuck and wouldn’t actually complete the level, despite me completing all of the requirements. My game then crashed and now all of my data in the gamemode was gone. I really liked this new gamemode too because I was able to play with new mechanics and listen to new music because I haven’t gotten that far in the main game. Now I’m most likely not going to restart and that gamemode was pretty much the only thing that kept having me come back to the game. It’s pretty irritating to have spent powerups to beat those ultra-hard levels only to have the data over a bug. This is as close to a “major” update that we’ve had in a looong time that benefits ALL players and it’s not even correctly implemented. It even took away the trophy for year 2 that I got. This is a pretty big problem considering they are LIMITED-EDITION
Perfect game.. almost
by Doormatress on 2020/02/21 16:32
I’ve been playing this game for a couple days now—and to say the least, two dots is a great strategy app, where there are so many different items and strategic placements that can help you throughout the levels, and in order to pass levels with high result requires a good amount of thought. My one issue with this game though, is the gold mine. The gold mine, which you “worked hard for” to earn, adds up to the chest until the entire thing is full for you to claim it. Hard work, right? Well that is pretty much useless once you hear what I have to say. After it fully adds up, you don’t get to just claim the coins for free and move on with your day, but rather have to PAY for the coins you’ve been working extra hard for, which mine was $2.99 for 50 coins (which is so absurd as the 18 coins purchase is almost the SAME PRICE). I would really like to see what they improve on with this, as it seems like they’re just doing it to milk money from all the people playing. I want results as this game is very enjoyable to sit down at home and use.
Fun game, shameless pay-to-win
by Derp8104 on 2018/02/02 08:37
Title pretty much says it. Two dots is a great game with a very simple premise complicated by different types of challenges. I'm all for game developers getting theirs, but some levels are downright impossible unless you're incredibly lucky or buy (essentially game breaking) power ups. I mean...some levels will present you with a unique challenge--say "circuit boards"--, then they'll offer to sell you a "circuit breaker" that pretty much wins the level for you. Like I said, shameless pay to win. Also, I’d like to point out that some of their level design is so blatantly geared towards making you use (i.e purchase) power ups. Just painfully obvious. It’s like they design a level, ask themselves “what’s a well balanced number of moves?”, and then subtract 5 from that number. It’s their game, I’m just playing it, they can do whatever they want. But one would hope they’d be a little more sophisticated about it. By the way, I haven’t paid a dime to play this game or use any boosters, but I’d haves paid a one time $4.99 or so to buy a well balanced version. That would not make for a very good revenue stream or business model, would it? Can’t catch any whales that way.
Appreciative / Bug problem on bottom of review
by Ummmmmskaks on 2019/08/12 19:19
I know I’ve left some angry reviews before on this game but at the end of the day I really do appreciate the whole thing. I’ve had this game since I was about 13, and I still play it 8 years later. The way it’s improved over the years is unbelievable. The sounds, objectives, different game options as far as running out of lives and being able to go play something else like expedition. I love how you guys add different features for a limited time so we can experience something different. The item hunts are one of my favorites. And you guys have made it to a point where you reward us with power ups in so many ways, I barely get frustrated if I keep losing lives. Thank you Bug problem: Recently been experiencing some issues when you go back to the games home screen. The loading screen gets stuck and doesn’t change so I have to keep force closing the app to get it to go back to the home screen
What happened??
by Songbyrd911 on 2018/04/01 16:54
I agree with all the other loyal players who are disappointed in the evolution of this game. I’ve been playing Two Dots for over two years and always loved it. It has always been a fun, relaxing, aesthetically pleasing game that’s just challenging enough to not be frustrating. It also allowed the opportunity to earn rewards and boosts without basically requiring you to purchase your way through difficult levels. Now it seems to have been made much more difficult and took away the boosts! The key system really doesn’t do me any good as it takes way longer to earn anything useful, and all the extra tickets and unlimited life stuff really doesn’t help as I tend to play when I get a few minutes free here and there throughout the day and not sit playing for hours at a time. (Unless trying to power through an expedition on a Wednesday night before it ended, which now seems to be an impossible goal as well) Please go back to how it was before, no fun now :( The latest update also seems to have some kind of bug that takes away the sound while playing. Ads still have sound, game randomly decides to go silent.
Unfortunate
by Mister_Clemens on 2020/07/21 19:34
I am a new player to Two Dots. Once I figured out the mechanics I had a lot of fun with the game for several hours. But the further I got, the more pay-to-win it started to feel. As the puzzles get harder, they become more random and power ups and win streaks become more important to maintain. Because there’s no in-game way to earn gold, I ended up spending $10 to buy some. I quickly realized it was a waste of money, as $10 worth of gold gets you nowhere. I could easily see myself spending hundreds of dollars on this game over time if I was really addicted. I have no problem at all paying for games and I realize these companies need income. I’d much rather pay a flat up front fee for a good game then feel like I’m getting squeezed for a few bucks every time I start it. To be clear, it’s possible to play Two Dots without paying money, but if you’re dying a lot at the higher levels, your gaming sessions are going to be very short because of the limited life mechanic. If you’re looking for a good time-waster that doesn’t constantly ask for your money, this unfortunately isn’t it unless you’re already exceptionally good at it.
Great game, wish there would be more free options
by AlejaWeasleyGranger on 2019/07/14 11:42
I really like this game, it’s challenging and has many different game modes so you won’t ever get bored if you have finished all the levels (which I haven’t, haha). However, I wish more of the free options that were there before would come agan. Example: before you could watch a video ad to get a free box at the beginning of the game. They took that feature away and noq you can only watch a video to get an extra life. I’d much rather have the same number of lives and more boxes! Something else that bothers me is the key vs. gold feature. I hate that you can only obtain gold by buying it. And keys only allow you to have one of three different things, that the game changes every now and then. And they are never power ups, only boxes and lives. Even worse, their summer hunt is blocked in levels 3 and 4 unless you unblock them with gold, which is really unfair. I wish they would allow us to buy gold with keys, so that the people who don’t want to buy gold with money can have access to the same parts of the game than those who do.
I absolutely love this game!
by why do you wand a nickname on 2019/10/16 03:56
This game is challenging, fun, addicting and of course frustrating when you get stuck on a level. I discovered this app 3 or 4 years and have been playing it since. I’m still far behind in levels, but I mean the app updates and adds more levels like every single day! I can’t keep up! I love the new mini game. The Halloween soirée (I think that’s what it was called). Please please make a Christmas version or do another Halloween version or general version ASAP!! I loved it because it reminded me of “I Spy”and I loved those books when I was a kid. One thing I don’t like is that you can only play the mini game by unlocking it with the gold coins. I really don’t think that’s fair especially when you have to actually purchase the gold coins if you don’t have any already. I had to buy more gold coins because I didn’t have enough. But I guess that’s Apple stealing more money from consumers. Go figure, capitalism at its finest. Still love the game though.
LOVE IT! Simple, fun, addicting
by aqua_albatross on 2018/07/02 05:06
I have been playing this game for the long haul! It’s so great! Clean user face, simple concept, and very creative. I have seen this game go through many updates, and a lot of them have been for the better. It’s such a simple and fun way to play a game for the few minutes you’re able to play games during the day. While I love the simplicity and fun of the game, I’ve seen the updates recently decrease in functionality. Usually the updates are great, but recently, they seem to be rather buggy. Nothing major, but I’m seeing many of the updates not fixing the issue of freezing or force closing. Another issue is the INSANE battery usage of this game. The only reason I do not give it 5 Stars is because of ridiculous amount of battery drainage even from just a level or two. Literally I’ll lose 20-40% battery within a few lives. It HAS to be fixed, please I beg you! And also the start screen bugs and little lag bugs that are seriously making it impossible to enjoy the game.
Love this game, but annoyed...
by SpecialKay19 on 2020/03/23 15:19
I LOVE this game and absolutely recommend it!! I’ve played it for years. My biggest annoyance, however, is that to get coins, you have to literally spend real money. This prevents me from being able to use certain features in the game, like getting some extra moves at the end of a level when I literally need ONE extra move to win, or playing further into the special hidden object levels (which I LOVE but I am out of coins, so I can’t play them further). I don’t think it’s unreasonable of me to be unwilling to spend real money in order to play a ‘free’ game from the App Store. I would love to be able to use the keys I earn in the game to purchase coins, or even to play bonus levels like the hidden objects without getting any rewards for winning. I just hate being locked out of certain features without shoveling out cash. That said, there are plenty of things to do without having to spend money. Like I said, I’ve played for years and have never spent a single penny on it... I just hate that I miss out on stuff unless I spend money.
Money grubbing ruins the experience
by Squintstopher on 2019/12/06 23:26
I love the aesthetics and basic concept of the game. Unfortunately, as so many others have mentioned, eventually most players will hit a point where they will have to spend money to continue playing or beat certain levels (either by buying extra lives or purchasing boosters). This recently happened to me so I decided to delete the game. There are plenty of other freemium games out there where in-game purchases are helpful but not necessary. If I could spend 5 dollars once to be able to keep all the coins I earn, I would, but it doesn’t look like that’s an option. The game is also pretty bloated and cluttered with special offers, time-limited side quests, and worthless prizes. Plus, why do I need to watch dots explode when I beat a level if it’s not doing anything for my score? My suggestion to developers: slim things down, get rid of unnecessary bells and whistles, offer a one-time purchase option for keeping the coins you earn, and make sure that the option to watch an ad for an extra life actually works.
Imaginative, consistent game exploring new ideas
by The DLF on 2018/12/24 08:41
First off, I have been a die-hard for this game for years. I am (only) around level 800 or so but I was hooked back in the day and would impatiently check for the next updates. This game might actually become the oldest app on your phone because it’s very easy to put it down and pick it up as opposed to a game you get addicted to and then delete a month later. Their creativity is forward-thinking and sometimes their game mechanics are not fully developed. I definitely have less favorite features of the game - like most reviewers, I don’t care for the “keys” function. And as many other people said, I’ll definitely get stuck on a level or bored with a theme (150 levels or so per theme... some are better than others 🙃) and get frustrated enough to stop playing for a month or so. But, they’re often coming up with new ideas, mechanics, and mini games (I LOVE the scavenger hunts!!) to keep it interesting and inspiring. Some people complain that the mechanics try to force you to purchase items to advance in the game. It can be frustratingly challenging sometimes for sure, but for crying out loud, the artists and devs have got to make a living somehow. Also, the ads are optional, which I really prefer to uninvited pop-ups. Overall, you’ll love it, you’ll hate it, it’ll make you laugh, it’ll make you cry. And it’s impossible not to adore the quality artwork and soothing soundtracks.
Modern classic.
by tiruvenkadu on 2018/12/17 02:20
In 5 years or so, I have tried a lot of games. I have seen a few truly beautiful, thoughtful games - ones that take time and investment - and I have seen all too many cheap, crappy, thrown-together money-grab games. This game is neither, but I hold it in closer esteem to the beautiful games. It has in-app purchases available, but it does not have ads - that alone is unique. But what really keeps me coming back - always, always coming back - is simple, beautiful design, engaging gameplay, clever/intriguing mechanics, and continually evolving levels that build on earlier mechanics. It’s not timed; you always have time to consider the next move. It’s not entirely a logic game; there’s an element of randomness in every level that always makes the outcome variable. And the music… I have purchased most of the collections when they become available. Some of the songs are mesmerizing. Of all the games on the App Store, this is the one, singular game that has always been on my phone, and likely will be. The developers clearly care, and have fun creating the game. It is well-balanced, not buggy, has clean design, and has the option of purchasing “boosters” (minor cheats, really), if you don’t have the patience to keep hammering away at the occasional tough level. It may not be for everyone, but it’s as close to that as you’re going to find for whiling away the time.
Great game, except for win streaks
by Rumble97864368 on 2020/01/26 21:21
Been playing this game for years. The latest update with the win streak is the only reason it’s not 5 stars. Please remove the win streak (or at least make it optional). It takes away the challenge and the entire point of the game. I have to waste a life to remove the streak. I’m on level 2544, and I feel like I’m on level 2 with these win streaks. It’s like being an expert computer coder and then being forced to take a beginners keyboarding class as a prerequisite except it lasts forever. In response to other reviews, you actually do not need power ups or booster boxes to win any of the levels. I have gotten to level 2544 without using any (except like 5-6 years ago before the door prizes, they had daily treasure chests that are today’s equivalent of booster boxes). Yes, I’ve been stuck on some levels for weeks at a time, but out of principle, I refuse to use power ups and booster boxes. I have hundreds of power ups and boosters saved up. I have missed out on treasure coins and rewinds because of refusing to use power ups (and there’s a time limit so that’s why I don’t eventually beat them). But I’ve beaten 2544 levels without power ups.
Issues with coins
by jmp24446889 on 2020/01/10 12:43
Let me start by saying I love this game. It’s fun, challenging, and a good way to pass time. However, I am thoroughly ticked about the coin and “mine” situation. This game forces you to make in-app purchases in order to collect coins to buy things to help you in the tougher levels such as booster boxes, color blasters, etc. The “mine” only fills up to fifty coins and then you can’t collect any more coins until you spend $3 of your own money. I attempted to use some of my coins and see if I could then collect more without making the purchase but sadly you can’t. Once the mine is “full” there’s no way to empty it or get any more coins unless you make that three dollar purchase. I conceded once and made the purchase just to see what would happen and sure enough, I had coins for all of about ten seconds before my mine was full and again would’ve had to spend $3 more dollars for more coins. This game is GREAT! This particular issue makes it not great. If it wasn’t for that I would’ve given it five stars. I’ve played this game in the past and it wasn’t like this so idk who thought to make it the way it is now but it was a terrible decision. One star!
Moves, Squares, and the Boosts
by dizonjulie on 2020/07/05 21:46
In every game I know, there will always be ads. So I found this game with an advertisement. When I saw this ad, I thought that this game was amazing. And so I went to the App Store and downloaded Two Dots. But I have three and only three problems with this addicting game which is why reviews are a thing. Here, read them- I wish they would change is the move limit. For example, on level 45, I think it was, you only have 12 moves to complete four objectives. I've been trying to get past this level for two weeks now but I simply can't do it! My second problem is squares. I absolutely love squares. The thing is, in order to make a square, you have to eliminate other dots to make one, which results in wasting your moves. Sometimes I get lucky and have squares ready for me, but most times I have to waste a few moves just to make squares. My third problem is the boosters. You know, those little icons at the bottom of the level, like the eraser and the shuffler? I don't know if it's just me, but I will take every oppurtunity for the booster boxes, daily rewards, and the boosts. I watch the videos. But I always use them and they don't come in handy when I really need them. I don't know if this is a me problem or an everyone who plays this game problem. And that's it! That's all the problems I have with Two Dots. Overall, this game is brilliant and I recommend this game to anyone who is bored in quarantine. Good luck!
really disappointing. deleting.
by hipster staircase on 2018/07/20 09:44
first of all i think this app only has good reviews because people play it for a little give it a good review and never touch it again. i’ve been playing this game for three years. religiously. the first 800 levels are great but anything after that well.... i know it’s supposed to be more difficult the more you play but it shouldn’t take me days to complete one puzzle. it literally ruins all of the fun. i dont even play anymore because it’s more annoying than entertaining. after level 800 it’s literally all up to chance on if you can finish the puzzles because if you don’t have a perfect set of dots from the beginning you literally have no moves to make. and it’s impossible to get a shuffle. just a giant waste of time. there’s no technique that could possibly win these levels based on pure skill. the creators of the new levels it honestly seems like all they care about is getting people to buy boxes because the levels are set up in such a way where you can’t win without them. ANNOYING. take my advice delete this game or don’t even install it and get risk instead. MUCH better games can be found.
Built to Spend Money
by Idon'tcry86 on 2019/11/11 19:06
Alright. I’ve played this game before, deleted it because it was so frustrating, and a year or more later have downloaded it again. This game is so frustrating. You earn keys but can’t buy useful items with them. Your gold mine is full but you can never access it unless you spend more money to “store it”. Levels are very hard and can’t be beat without using a booster box or earned items like the eraser or blasting one color. BUT you can’t buy any of the tools, blasting colors, bulls eyes, erasers, shuffler, unless you spend the $$$ to keep gold in the mine. Why do you earn keys? What’s the point if you can’t use them to actually buy things to help you move up levels? You have daily prizes, but unless you stop playing and just open the app for daily prizes, which you save instead of use, there is no point. You get 20 keys, or 1 shuffle or color blaster. It’s built to make you frustrated and spend money because the game doesn’t want you to pass levels or succeed. So. Frustrating.
GOAT Mobile Game

I am in love with this game, 10/10. I played this app in spurts for a while and liked it since it first came out, but for the last 4 months this app has been exclusively the game I play and I don’t see that changing any time soon. I’ve never rated an app on the App Store, but I love this one so much I feel obligated to thank and repay the makers of this app and the great work they do. This game is the perfect combination of strategy, skill, and chance. It keeps my mind active, while still being a great way to destress as a study break or just when you’re bored. You really don’t need to pay to get far. You can get power ups without paying which is great, but really you don’t even need to use them at all. I’ve made it to level 465 and have never intentionally used a power up (I pressed the buttons accidentally once or twice, but it didn’t really give me much of a boost).
Love it, but... (+colourblind mode)
by Rian Sygh on 2018/07/12 17:48
I’ve been playing 2Dots for a long long time, it’s been my favourite go-to game for years and I play it almost everyday. I’ve mainly really enjoyed the little tweaks and updates but I’m disappointed with the new Key currency. The power ups are a big part of the gameplay and now they feel too precious to use since keys can only really buy you booster boxes. I’m hopeful that if enough people dislike the new currency system they’ll roll it back. I won’t stop playing the game over it, but it makes me way less motivated to actually spend my real-world dollars on something that is frustrating me more often. Also, I play almost exclusively in colourblind mode- which is great, definitely one of the better CB modes I’ve experienced (adding the little symbols to the dots helps SO much)! If any devs are looking through reviews please make a dark Background toggle for colourblind mode! It would help me out a lot when playing at night.
Fun but in-app purchases so beware!
by go33-33 on 2019/09/20 21:28
This used to be completely free. I’ve played this for years. There are several ways to collect Booster items, but they all used to be free once you collected enough points. Now you collect keys and the only thing they can purchase are Booster Boxes and extra lives. There’s the daily “choose a door,” but they used to give you an extra try. Now you get one chance to win some Booster items. And finally, they have you collect coins after you win a round. With the coins you are able to cash them in, literally, for $2.99 for 50 coins. That $2.99 only buys you so much. And I’ve found that the higher I go, the more necessary it is to have a lot of extras like the eraser or the target, etc. In order to gain enough extras to win Ultra Hard rounds, it’ll cost you about $6 sometimes. I miss the olden days, not so long ago, when I could easily collect, for free, enough of those extras just by completing an Expedition!
Don’t get me wrong a ton of great features have been added over the years, but some of these things are just too much.
levels not marked hard are too hard—takes days to finish and you must buy boosters to win
by almarnviley on 2020/06/07 14:46
There’s some nice things about this game: beautifully designed, some of the levels are satisfyingly challenging. However there are multiple levels that have taken me literal days to play and the most annoying thing is that these levels are NOT marked as “hard” or “ultra hard.” They’re just plain levels. These tend to be the levels with a lot of the blocks that you have to break through. It seems like whether you will win or not depends entirely on what kind of dots you’re dealt at the beginning. Often I can tell just from the way the board is at the beginning if I could actually manage to win or if it’s just a lost cause. Then, of course, the only way you could possible win is to purchase boosters (or already have a streak going) which is annoying. There are times that I play this game for levels at a time and it’s very fun and addicting but I do plan on deleting because every couple of days I get a level that takes me literal days to get through and it’s not worth it anymore.
Great app, brain stimulating, definitely an A++

I love this game. It is totally addictive but in a good way. You only can play until you loose all of your lives and then must wait for them to be restored before being able to continue. Of course you can purchase items as in app purchases to help you move faster throughout the different levels but I have found that it is unnecessary. This way you can pace yourself and not to overwhelmed or consumed by the game. There are ads if you choose to watch that allow you gain additional lives or boosts but they are optional. I sometimes watch these ads but it is on my terms not determined by the app developers. I would highly recommend this app. It keeps your mind stimulated and it is possible to move on to the next levels without having to spend a penny on upgrades. I’ve made it to level 63 so far. Great app. Thanks
My go-to game!
by Ruby&Remy on 2020/04/03 10:14
So I’ve been playing two dots for years now, and I love it so much! It’s beautiful and challenging. It’s not exaggerating when I say I play this game everyday. On the surface it’s simple enough to stay relaxing, but all the different mechanisms that are part of the game require different types of strategy. I love getting postcards, and treasures from the treasure hunts. They also have started doing different events like the hidden picture type odyssey- which is just creative and fun! There are ads if you choose to watch them, but I like that you can choose when you’d like to watch an ad. It’s easy enough to skip if I’m not in the mood. The game gives away boosters and power ups on a regular basics, and you get rewarded when you complete an event. I’m so glad that two dots is a part of my life. Is an awesome adventure for my mind! Thanks two-dots!
Why’d you have to cover up the beautiful map?
by Hdtugxdrhbjfgioohft on 2020/03/06 01:27
I’ve been playing this game for probably six years a this point. I started the game all the way back when there were only about 500 levels. Now that there are over 2500, there are so many gimmicks, cash-grabs, and events, that it seriously saps the charm and appeal. I understand money is a top priority, but the “gold mine” is complete BS and you know it. But my biggest complaint is the newest update. How come all of a sudden you feel the need to conceal the entire map until you’ve reached that section? I used to look forward to updates because I loved how incredible the map looked. The creativity, imagination, and simplicity that went into it was incredible. I wanted to know what new area would come next. It’s so disappointing that now I can’t scroll up and down the sprawling minimalist map ogling the diversity. I really hope you change this. I’m truly underwhelmed by this new update. I doubt you read your reviews anymore but this will remain 2 stars until it is changed back.
So addictive.....🥰

I am in love with this game. It cools off my mind. First i thought it would be only connecting dots and do nothing but since i was bored and had nothing to do, i just downloaded it to pass my time. But when i got in higher levels the game got so amazing!! 🥳 I am in love with this game it is pretty fun. I have many other games too in my Mobile (iOS) but this is the most best game ever. This was my comment when u downloaded it in another mobile. But then that time i had to delete for less space. I totally forgot about this game for like almost a year! But suddenly i just saw this game in my recommendations and i was like “I MISS THIS GAME!!”. But there is a problem with the game... sometimes app gets too slow. I dont know but it happens to me sometimes. But i hope one day it will get better. HOPEFULLY! 😁. Thanks to the developer/seller for making this game!! It is so much fun and addictive! 🥳Thanks for reading!!🥳
Love it but too many micro transactions
by Walnugget on 2020/01/08 04:33
I discovered this game a while ago (about 3 years ago) and when I started playing, there were fewer micro transactions - now there are so many the game is almost unplayable. I hate how you have to pay money to access the entire object search maps and to access coins you earn in game. The game is so beautifully designed, but omg, the micro transactions are such blatantly obnoxious cash grabs - so much so (and it kind of pains me to say this) that I want to delete the app just because it isn’t enjoyable anymore. It would be one thing if I could just pay $12 for he game and get all its features instead literally infinite money to keep accessing things. It’s so disappointing to see a game I once valued as beautiful and relaxing actually become stressful for all of the reasons a game shouldn’t be stressful. A game should be stressful because it’s challenging or intense, not because I’m constantly bothered by requests for money for this features or that feature, or because I’m barred from a WHOLE SECTION of the game because I don’t want to keep paying more money
So long two dots. It was fun.
by Sandaimei on 2018/02/14 18:27
I’ve been playing two dots for awhile now. I can accept the fact that the system limits what you can do when you don’t spend money as far progression goes. I can understand that this games ultimate purpose is to make money. But I enjoyed the game more when you actually could grind and get your power ups to progress through the level. But over the months I’ve noticed the various update that seem to just throw the grinders to the side. The introduction of the keys. You get keys now for going through the expeditions now when you get to each base camp instead of power ups. The main reason I use to go through the expedition. But now you get keys. I could understand using the keys to then purchase powers but you cant. You can only use them to get booster boxes. So essentially now you only have a random chance of getting powers ups. The game is no where near as rewarding as it use to be. Guess I’m going to have to call it quits here. Wonderful game but now it just feels like a cash grab to me.
Two Dots: An Inside Look
by Iprocrastinatedtodayok on 2020/03/07 19:03
So I’m going to vent first, then I’ll dive into why this game is great. First, whoever says this game is not luck based is a genius, because somehow I’m over here making squares and all of a sudden some random mix-matched dots drop and I spend 20 moves just trying to make a square. Then a lotus comes around the corner and ruins the other square I could have made. What is that LUCK?! Oh, and the slime is getting bigger TOO?! NICE!!! AnywAYs, I love this game, it has great visuals, vibrant colors, variable levels with lots of fun stuff added in, as well as great music. I’m terrible at puzzles so the streak boosts and piñata parties are incredibly helpful, allowing me to get through a good chunk of the literal HUNDREDS of levels. Even though I sometimes need one move to finish a level and lose a life, wanting to bang my head against the table, it tests my brainpower and I can look at pretty colors. That’s really all I need out of life. Great game! :)
I love this game, but....
by Kym Bray on 2019/03/25 00:13
I love this game, have had it for years. I love that it is constantly being updated and evolving. With that said some of the updates are kind of aggravating, for example the hard and super hard levels, some are CRAZY hard. I was stuck on level 456 (I believe) for a year or more because I didn’t want to spend $ on perks. I finally cleared it yesterday. Now there’s a new update where you can collect gold coins in a mine. It said it was full and you have to pay to increase the storage. I did it thinking I’d be able to hold coins there indefinitely. UH NO! What a rip off, why would I continue to pay $3 for coin storage? That’s kind of crazy. If I pay $3 for increased mine storage it should Just be that. It holds 50, you can use them and refill an unlimited amount of times as you Collect coins up to 50. That’s crazy that you can only hold 50 coins if you pay every time.
Long time player

I have been playing this game for the last two years and am slowly losing my love for it. You use to be able to gain a nice amount of boost boxes through the daily doors and ads but this has decreased dramatically over time. Then you could win those boost through special chest on expeditions but yet again those have disappeared as well. The keys are completely worthless as they don’t allow you to purchase the boost you need. New levels absolutely require you to use boost just to win which defeats the point of this being a game of skill. Also some levels won’t drop the needed mechanic (like anchors) even after 5 moves which is ridiculous. The new version that just came out flashes the squares at you which might be nice for beginners but I find it frankly annoying and wish it could be turned off. Hopefully the developers are reading these reviews but I think this game is going like most others and becoming a money grab.
Sneaky at getting you to pay
by Indiana Emily on 2020/06/05 19:55
To play at least one certain aspect of the game-the scavenger hunts- you must purchase coins. I’m ok with this aspect. It’s fine with me to support a game that I like. During a normal Two-dot level, if you run out of moves or out of lives, a screen appears that has the option of purchasing more lives by using your coins. But since the purchase spot is in the middle of the screen where you might be making your next move, I have accidentally SEVERAL TIMES purchased additional moves or lives by hitting the “purchase “ button not realizing that I was out of moves. When you already have coins, you aren’t given the option of confirming the purchase. It just deducts the coins from your stash and gives you the extra moves(usually I wasn’t doing very well on the turn and the extra moves aren’t even helpful). So I have wasted MANY coins accidentally. And now I don’t have enough coins to play another level of the scavenger hunt. It stinks. I think I’m done playing.
Fun at first
by TrendaLee on 2019/01/19 21:41
Two Dots started out as a really cute and addictive game! Different levels with different themes, certain events like treasure hunt and “going back in time”. It’s all good and fun, in the beginning. Then you reach levels that have these little anchors in them. The objective is to get them to fall to the floor before you’re out of moves. Simple enough yeah? But there are (a LOT of) times where you can go a full five to ten moves and no anchors spawn. You’ve gotten 5 out of 14 and now you only have four moves left to get the rest to fall to the floor. This happens more than it should, and after spending up all of your special moves and “boosts”, the only way to earn more is to either pay for them or just hope you’re lucky the next day to only get one new boost or just a useless key. Concept is great, lovely scenes, terrible pay to win/luck base system rather than the “calm strategy game” the many many ads you’ll see of this game depict it as.
While the game itself is fun....
by Medzfortmz on 2019/07/19 18:01
The constant barrage to purchase in app currency is ridiculous. You can go about 29-30 levels before you just happen to be forced to use the shuffles, etc. by then they hope you’re addicted. Then they push “get this package for only 2.99,” oh what’s three dollars? Sure why not? And by the end you’re 3, 5, 10, 30, 50, 100 dollars in the hole and so addicted you’ll keep spending. On top of that, while moving through the easier levels it pushes a “gold mine” on you. It looks like it’s apart of the game and you get a little “!” Icon by it. You go to check it out, oh it’s a feature alright, but you gotta spend money to make imaginary money. Don’t get me wrong, the game is definitely fun! But, I definitely deleted it. I’m all for supporting developers and spending some money here or there to help them develop. But when it’s a constant nag, a constant push, it just comes off as money hungry. Making an addictive game and then preying in them. If I wanted to waste my money I’d go to Vegas.

Super fun!!
by SWAGGER_FOREVER on 2020/10/22 20:30
I’ve really enjoyed playing this game!

Game is great, and special events are outstanding!
by MandyChicago83 on 2020/10/18 19:42

Terrible

I have been playing for more than 4 years. Its the best game!!!!
I love this game but...
by Pavophobia on 2020/10/14 02:11
.... there’s only one way to get coins aside from the ones they give you in the beginning, and that’s by paying.
Beware
by knbskai on 2020/10/14 01:16
Be careful- if the game glitches and you need to re-download it make sure you create an account first to save your progress or everything you’ve done will be deleted forever.

Two dots is fun, but I love the new little scavenger hunt levels they’ve been adding. I wish that was a standalone game! So good!

Pop-ups make it impossible to play

I recently tried playing but only get pop-ups to play other games. You can’t exit them.
Great update

After sitting through 3 Quicken Loans ads, ending with the app crashing each time, I've decided to delete this EXPENSIVE game. Nice update to "fix bugs"
Great game
by TheSweet-KoiFish on 2020/10/10 14:11
It’s a cute and simple game that I play a lot! The art style is so cool and I love playing it. I also love the little Easter eggs like for example, Fin and Jake being there! But in all, five stars I love it

Best Search and Find
by breezycheezy25 on 2020/10/10 11:26
I literally don’t even play the main game, I just had to review the search and find “mini game” I guess you’d call it. It’s my favorite way to kill time. It can be pretty challenging, the artwork and animation is absolutely adorable. I only wish they’d do more maps, or even make an app just for it!
Mini games are dope
by McKenzieCM99 on 2020/10/10 07:53
I legit only have this game downloaded on my phone is when they release the scavenger hunt mini game! All time favorite thing to do! I wish they made a separate game with just that tho :/
Beautiful fun sounds are great

But please for the love of all that’s holy STOP with all the upgrades, interrupting mid stage bump ups. Can I just buy the game??
Reporting a problem
by Sca-illz on 2020/10/09 16:51
The new Halloween update does not work.
LOVE the scavenger hunt mini game

all 5 stars are for the scavenger hunt mini game. i’d pay for just levels of this game, alone.

Great game, but ...
by JZ1o1 on 2020/10/08 20:08
Love this game! Especially like the periodic challenges with other players. However, if levels and games have already been completed then there is no way to participate in the challenges. Could you correct this?
Scavenger hunt
by Kayleigh420 on 2020/10/08 19:56
I think the creators of two dots should make a separate app for the scavenger hunts bc it’s honestly better than the actual game

Pop ups
by Phoenix_on_fire on 2020/10/08 11:47
I don’t know how enough people can deal with ads and pop ups to give this 4.6 stars.

GOAT Mobile Game
by oddffstfffstsuxo ixjx on 2018/08/06 03:39
I am in love with this game, 10/10.
Don’t get me wrong a ton of great features have been added over the years, but some of these things are just too much.
levels not marked hard are too hard—takes days to finish and you must buy boosters to win
by almarnviley on 2020/06/07 14:46
There’s some nice things about this game: beautifully designed, some of the levels are satisfyingly challenging.

It was fun.
