Best photo app!

Absolutely love love love Lightroom Mobile! It’s a game changer! Presets make it even easier. I wish overlays could be used with LR Mobile!

Please add video support in lightroom mobile like the lightroom for pc that can apply the presets in the videos.

They sneak in 1-month trials and a 9.99/mo plan becomes a 39.98 plan.
by sam k t on 2019/12/12 00:42
They snuck in a 1-month free trial when I purchased a 9.99 a month photography plan. Then proceeded to bill me 29.99 a month for Adobe stock that wasn’t showing up on my plans when I managed my account. Full Story: I’ve now twice been on calls with adobe that lasted over a half hour to finally get this cancelled. I never had to click anything nor did I have the chance to opt out in any obvious way. I clicked authorize purchase on my 9.99 a month plan and adobe made me pay for two months of adobe stock because I never canceled this mysterious plan I never signed up for. I NEVER would have authorized this and I was never notified when the free trial was about to convert to a subscription. Even after I was supposedly subscribed it didn’t show up on my account when I went to manage it.
Unhappy with new update
by Princessjaz on 2019/12/11 23:56
This app has been my bread and butter for all my photography! I use it daily. I use the watermark feature and it’s been super easy! But NOW this new update has moved the watermark feature so I have to export as: and I just noticed that if I crop and rotate a a photo it doesn’t export the same way!! It’s super annoying. And is becoming more complicated where it should be easy!
by on 2019/12/11 17:46
The app is great, but we should have the option to add our personal watermark
by gcristob on 2019/12/11 06:41
Currently a bug were I can’t add my watermark to my pictures
by gugafreak on 2019/12/10 16:11
I used the app for 2 weeks and had edited about 10 photos and the app said my storage space was full. And then the app crashed and sent my phone on a reboot loop that apple had to fix by erasing everything on my phone to reset it back up.
New update
by Deviledegg22 on 2019/12/10 02:42
The latest update kinda through me off. Exporting my photos is more complicated now. I don’t know what things to select when exporting to my photos app. I would rather have the old and simple “maximum available size” selection. It was quicker and more efficient. If the new feature was an option to do more in depth exports, that would be alright.
Very disappointed
by Ilovethismscom on 2019/12/09 18:07
I’m so disappointed in Lightroom. I LOVED it until I lost several of my presets that I’ve paid $200+ for because they updated their app. I’m so sick over this. Also don’t appreciate how this was free and switched to a monthly charge.
Please help: The app doesn’t even open
by Shirbrina on 2019/12/09 03:12
I downloaded this app to edit my photos and it is not available for download. Once I downloaded the bundle, it said it included the LR app but it didn’t open on my phone...

by MiniMcsnack on 2019/12/07 20:15
I just got this app to edit some pictures but when it has the gallery to edit and choose pictures I press the picture I want and it loads forever and every time I want to edit a photo it will non stop load and it’s not letting me edit my pictures.

I have had a blast learning how to use Lightroom and am amazed by how much it can do! I love the tutorials, the things it can do, and it has replaced everything else that I used to use to work on images. There is something about this program that is "fun" once you learn to use it and I really enjoy it a lot.
Selective and healing
by Danyalfred on 2019/12/04 04:17
I have the iphone X and have made very cool pictures here! I love this app. It just doesn’t work very well when I edit on selective modes like the brush. 90% of the times I want to brush with my finger in an specific area just doesn’t brush or work. Like the red part doesn’t come out. And it’s worst when you try to erase the red parts. So, that’s the thing that stresses me out. Also it bugs sometimes when healing. But all the other tools are very good! Please fix that bugs :(
Move between accounts
by RobinsonEF on 2019/12/04 02:47
Can’t move files/work between adobe IDs. I have a subscription on a different ID. The files are still taking up space on my free ID, which does not have any of the premium features, but adobe does not make it possible for my subscribed ID to access them

Keeps crashing
by kdrowning on 2019/12/01 23:08
Love Lightroom but it keeps crashing when I want to do my selective edits
Great, but a major hiccup
by DJ Squirrel on 2019/12/01 16:58
Lightroom offers superior color editing, but the major issue is that if you haven’t used the app in some time, it doesn’t use your photo gallery like other apps do (by accessing the gallery to pick)—instead it loads the pictures into its own selection gallery and updates it based on the last time it loads. I edited a photo in October 2019 and here on December 1st 2019 I’ve taken a few hundred more photos, which means the last one I took and want to edit specifically isn’t accessible until the other few 700 ahead of it load first. It’s annoying and relegates me to using the phone’s basic photo editing options instead when I want to get the work done now, not 10 minutes from now when I can actually select the photo I want.
Edit specific object
by Inferno__Beast on 2019/12/01 05:07
My background on my photo was perfect but I was way too dark. My shirt looked black. I was able to brighten myself up while maintaining the backgrounds look. 10/10.

No free features. All premium.
by ilikeapu on 2019/11/30 06:04
It forced me into a “free trial” of premium features. At the end of that trial NONE of the features worked. Any button I pressed just prompted me to “renew my subscription”. The online help was a joke. Still can’t tell if the reps couldn’t understand me or just have no working knowledge of the app. Because I’m not a “paid subscriber” there is no phone support available. Only a clunky online chat feature. And it only allows me to submit 10-15 words at a time in my chat. Very frustrating.
by 18:628819 on 2019/11/29 16:43
I just updated this app and have no lost all of my presets I had prior to this!!!

So much better than photo app
by Norm Pennett on 2019/11/28 11:46

Unable to sync presets
by buck1161 on 2019/11/27 18:50
the one star isn’t for the app as a whole, but for this issue - it’s advertised in the app that we are able to sync presets purchased from 3rd parties (from desktop to mobile), but that it isn’t possible. Customer service told me that because lightroom classic (desktop) and lightroom cc (mobile) are different interfaces, they can’t sync. I am very confused.
Good app impossible to cancel
by GalacticENFPs on 2019/11/27 04:09
The app is good but I signed up for the free trial and when I went to cancel the membership it was nearly impossible.
by spiks123 on 2019/11/26 16:47
I love this and everything, but can I not edit RAW files for free? Do I have to get premium?

by BR009KEC on 2019/11/23 03:00

Best app for editing ever invented

Can’t say enough about this app. I’ve gone through countless editing apps and Lightroom never fails. Wonderful. 10/10.

Good app very good
Was great until...
by Leonasin on 2019/11/21 19:16
I absolutely LOVED this app! Then I decided to try the free trial for the extra things to see if I wanted to purchase monthly. As soon as I did it wiped clean all my current pictures and presets!! All gone! I tried to speak to someone about it but the result was there was nothing they can do. So I’m out hours of saving over 100 presets!! So very disappointed. There needs to be some sort of warning that everything you have already done/saved will be deleted upon purchasing a subscription!! So upset and unhappy :(
trouble with loading photos
by ig: king.shyanne on 2019/11/21 16:36
as much as I love this app, it frequently fails to load the photos in my photo gallery. it has wonderful editing and I would give it five stars if only my photos loaded. it’ll show i have so many in my gallery and only load some of them and the same with my favorites and such.

Used to love it, but now not so much
by Trihazel on 2019/11/20 01:38
Update 11/19/19: received developer email response with suggestions of settings and after checking to make sure everything was set correctly, still not working properly. It will show me all of my pictures taken today, but won’t show me pictures of the last week (does show pictures prior to last app update). This app has been AMAZING until very recently. Not sure if it was an app update or the iPhone update, but it won’t show me any recent photos from the last 3 days. And then, it still doesn’t show me all of my photos for editing.
by idhevgakjsbdkw on 2019/11/18 01:47
it has honestly been good but it stoped letting me upload pictures to edit them so like... there's no use so i hope it gets fixed soon cause it really is a good app.
by fjdjakalsjfbnaka on 2019/11/18 01:42
this app was amazing until recently. i purchased some presets and tried to upload them to the app, and it just shows the loading sign and my sister has had the same problem. hopefully this gets resolved soon. you also cannot upload any new pictures.
It lags a lot
by Ray_30579 on 2019/11/18 00:02
Compared to the app running on my Mi Mix 3 it just seems to lag and stutter alot. The auto button(magic stick figure) also needs to be pressed more than once before it reacts. Don't have these issues on my Mi Mix 3. Running it on iPhone 11. Luckily the inbuilt edit option of iPhone Photos saves me at the end of the day.

by tinyteapof on 2019/11/16 19:00
Honestly, Lightroom could be such a good app; I paid $4.99 per month for the healing feature but it keeps crashing every time I use it. I am about to unsubscribe from it and just use their regular presets.
by nesha449 on 2019/11/16 12:20

Stopped Working On My Phone
by nenayepez on 2019/11/16 01:22
I used this app daily and one day it stopped working. I couldn’t use it so I deleted it and thought I’d download it again, but it won’t let me download. I have enough space and I have an iPhone X so I don’t understand why it won’t let me download. I’ve rebooted my phone. I think it has a bug, but I can’t use any of my presets that I’ve bought.

by TarantinoK1500 on 2019/11/15 15:39

by Sun Maximus on 2019/11/14 07:09
Doesn't look or act like desktop Lightroom. If you need to delete something good luck trying to figure out how to do it, before it fills out your memory. Can't even upload to facebook or instagram. Camera app you can't even zoom in. Soon it will be a gone like Final Cut Pro. They just can't stop leaving an amazing program alone.
Best camera. Great editor.
by Lee Pellman on 2019/11/13 22:36
Aside from being the best for its editing abilities, the in app camera is actually one of the best I’ve ever used. I’ve bought nearly all the big camera apps. I’ve spent over $100 on just photo apps. They do not have something this app has. Please make the camera a separate app of it’s own too. The widget is nice but an “Adobe Camera” sounds good. The algorithms are great.
Hats off!!
by Egasnived on 2019/11/13 00:18

Bad apps. Bad features. Bad updates.
by Westmoreland's KAB on 2019/11/05 20:41
Astonishing to me that adobe continues to charge these prices for their flagship software when with every update what is missing is the ability to take a picture at one exposure and see that same exposure in the final picture. Rather a picture many times underexposed, lacking any of the same color settings. For iOS apps I expect the same exhausting attention to details. If you can’t spend the time developing these apps properly. Don’t offer them.
No HDR Merge Yet
by Cully_07 on 2019/11/05 11:14
I’ve been using the app for quite some time and each update I hope they come out with HDR Merge, Pano Merge and regular photo Merge... it’s nearly 2020, this should be an option by now with smartphones having as much computing power as they have!

V5.0.0 and still no 13mm lens support
by Dwightrerskine on 2019/11/04 13:45
Beyond frustrated with Adobe. V5.0.0 released more than a month after iOS13 and they STILL haven’t add support for the 13mm lens in their in-app camera. I use the HDR function a lot and not having this lens support is ridiculous.
Don’t get the “free” trial
by Jenbenisatenwannafanta on 2019/11/04 03:03
DO NOT allow yourself to fall victim to these scammers! Don’t believe that it’s easy to unsubscribe from the monthly payments after the free one-week trial. It is a nightmare and they purposefully leave out the tabs to allow you to unsubscribe, then tell you that if you don’t see the tabs to contact them, yet the only way to contact is to send a weird text into cyberspace that does not even show it’s gone through. Disgusting. Adobe is a big company- never thought they would succumb to this form of gimmick to swindle people out of money.

Deleted everything - DO NOT RECOMMEND
by Get this fixed. on 2019/11/03 18:18
Loved the app at first but when I just updated the app everything was gone , all my photos on there and all my presets (including presets I’ve purchased) reached out to customer service and they said there was nothing they could do. Do not recommend!!! Feel like I just threw money in the trash and customer service was rude and not willing to help.
Can't use without internet
by Finalboarder on 2019/11/03 16:22
The app requires internet in order to login. After you login you'll be logged out after a while. This means that when you need the app the most—outdoors—you won't be able to use it. Worst, you'll never know when you can and can't rely on it.

I’ve loved Lightroom since day 1, but the day we were finally able to sync our presets from our desktop was an incredible day. Presets help my workflow tremendously, not to mention working from anywhere. My only wish would be that the sync would happen each time I log in, adding any new presets on to my Lightroom iOS 13 app. Either way, Lightroom’s still my #1!
Just awesome

Best iPhone Photo Editing, Not a Perfect App
by CeeDubH on 2019/11/02 01:42
Lightroom Mobile is excellent. Shooting in RAW and editing on mobile to share immediately, then being able to sync directly to Lightroom Classic and continue editing, uploading, and managing my photo library is awesome. That being said, there are bugs that have been around for years that still nag at my workflow. No flash support when shooting RAW, the app doesn’t hold onto it’s settings after restarts, edits don’t always sync properly, I’m not a fan of subscription pricing, it’s rude that they take away some of the coolest features of the app if you don’t have a subscription, I refuse to store my photos in the cloud and would require selective sync as my library is well over 1 TB, the interface has always appeared like it’s from 2001 (that is of course an opinion), no support yet for the iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max even after they’ve been out for almost two weeks now… All little things that are probably low priority but can really bug after a while. A better response time and attention to detail from Adobe support would really make this the unquestionable best app for iOS. Until then, it’s still pretty great. *Update 1* Still no update for iPhone 11 support. For a company the size of Adobe with their class of developers this is unacceptable. I’ve not even been using Lightroom since moving to my new iPhone. *Update 2* Still nothing from Adobe. Every month that they don’t release an update is 1/12 of the year I can use my iPhone to its full potential.

Subscribed but still can’t use premium
by sderouin on 2019/10/26 13:41
For the last week I have been unable to access my premium items. It tells me I have to subscribe but I am subscribed and when I try to “renew” it tells me I can’t because I already have an active subscription! I love the program but very upset at not being able to use all functions despite paying for it. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and still nothing.
Hands down best mobile app!
by Wesley Brilhante on 2019/02/18 10:29
I’m a hardcore adobe fan but the software that has been working the best for me out of all the creative cloud platform it’s no doubt the Lightroom mobile, i have spent tons of money on expensive softwares, apps and different hardware stuff trying to get my pictures to the next level but I can’t stop using Lightroom mobile,I love using my iPhone and most of the time I’m flying my drone and like to edit my pictures on the spot right after I’m finished so I don’t know anything else as good or as close to Lightroom mobile, not to mention that once you have done some of the work on the go once you hit the computer it’s synced with your Lightroom desktop version so you can either keep working on the desktop or laydown and keep working on the mobile version on your phone, and the best part for me is that is very convenient to just grab the phone out of the pocket and take a picture instead of using a huge DSLR for a simple picture that sometimes you might not have time to setup the tripod and everything before the subject has moved etc , I like to have a camera for every scenario, GoPro for under water, drone for aerial photography, DSLR for my professional photography and my iPhone photography for quick snaps that I don’t feel like carrying a huge bag full of accessories and for every one of those cameras Lightroom mobile app works well!
Don’t need my DSLR 90% of the time
by CA-JR on 2017/11/07 19:22
This may be my first product review, but I am very eager to share my experience. Thanks to Lightroom CC, I can shoot beautiful raw photos (in HDR), easily organize them, easily fix/improve them, and automatically upload them to the cloud where they don’t eat up space on my phone. I must say that I feel like about 95% of the time I can tweak photos to look exactly what I am hoping for. A major reason for this is the ability to highlight just a region of the photo and adjust the brightness/color to that region. And it is really nice how how the app also ties fairly seamlessly with other Adobe apps such as the two Photoshop apps. I could go on and on about other features I like and other minor things that just are smart and show Adobe was paying attention to detail. My complaints are few and far between, and I’m sure will get tweaked in future version. For these reasons, I am generally confident 90% of the time just walking around with my iPhone to take pictures rather than my bulky Canon 5D Mark IV. My friends keep asking me what app I am using for taking and editing the pictures. I keep telling them they should get this app.
A 2nd camera roll, but better...
by HelloitsDerek on 2018/09/12 08:51
With 1-terabyte of storage it's practically unlimited; no need to worry about space ever again. The edit tools are similar to iOS photos, but on steroids. Flag photos: accept/reject/no flag plus a five star rating system. Organize your photos with folders and albums. Tag photos with as many keywords as you want. Easily search and display photos by any of these features. I also love that I can use it on my Mac and iPad too. Plus you get Bridge for your Mac which expands your editing feature list even more. If the monthly fee has you down, just pretend your taking one of the dev team members out for a coffee every month. Well worth it, this app is super amazing and works very well! You can tell it's designed by a team of talented people and not just one guy in his basement. Don't hesitate, get it today, you love it... I guarantee it!!
Greatest program yet
by Pokepokebtcheekecheeke on 2018/06/19 22:45
Load up your photos on your desktop or laptop from a REAL camera or phone. Create a collection in Lightroom, transfer to Photoshop and back to Lightroom. Share entire album within seconds to your contacts. Pretty smooth. Absolutely NOTHING comes close to what PSCC & Lightroom can do. Absolutely love this system. I generally shoot with dslrs and use several features in photoshop that Lightroom can’t duplicate or run. I only have the “save as smart previews only” because the don’t take up much room on the server and I can send the “collections link” to anyone I wish to share. There is a slider to allow the sender to download the smart preview. Most of the senders are family and only view on their phones or tablets. I keep originals(RAW) on portable drives and connects with saved presets from PSCC/Lightroom. This is still my best program for travel and family photos. I still can’t get away from focal lengths, aperatures available and picture quality of a real camera. I print and display my work at the office and my home . There is a difference between cell phone and larger sensor size. Physics still dominates , no way around that yet but, maybe in my lifetime ?
by Anasatya on 2019/09/12 02:27
I absolutely adore this photo app and have been using it for years! but since one of the latest updates, you can no longer DELETE an individual image. Now you have to selects images from your entire gallery and delete the selected ones but you CANNOT open an individual image as before and delete it. On the help guides says to “open image-click Edit-delete image” the problem is that when you open the image and click on edit there is NO delete image option. How to delete an individual image NOT from the photo gallery but the image itself? WHY you removed this option? When you take 15 images of a ring let’s say, you want to see them individually to get a closer look and then delete an image if you don’t like. Now? You can see individual images but you have to go back to the gallery and from there select the ones you want to delete. Problem is that 15 almost identical images in gallery size doesn’t allow you to know anymore which one is the one you wanted to delete. Not having this option any more is time consuming and frustrating the least to say. Please make this feature available again. 🙏🏼
The future
by maxblack113 on 2019/05/24 02:53
Lightroom CC is the future of photography. Pretty much all the tools I need are included. The RAW camera for iPhone is incredible, plus the cloud syncing makes my workflow a breeze. On top of that, the updates just keep bringing more and more great features, proving they are truly putting your subscription money to good use. Great stuff! Only a couple cons: -The last update added a heal tool, but it is one of the worst I’ve ever seen. It works fine for a single blemish on otherwise perfect skin or something, but I’ve seen way better heal tools in really cheap apps (like pixelmator). -The filters/presets are pretty bad. There’s maybe 2 or 3 good color presets and 2 or 3 good black and white presets. I know that presets are frowned upon by most pros, but sometimes they’re fun and creative and the selection of presets in this app is pretty lackluster. I know you can add more through the computer but that method is convoluted and the app should just come with better stock filters.
Love it!
by Bobskie boo on 2019/07/13 05:46
I am so obsessed with Lightroom! I do photography as a hobby and I’m an amateur, so I love learning how to edit my photos in post. I gotta say, the curve tool is such a game changer and a necessity. If used correctly, it can literally change the entire look and vibe of your photos. I have played around with it so much that a lot of my photos look like I used filters from other popular apps. I have stopped using filters COMPLETELY and learning on creating my own style of lighting, color and shadows. The premium package is a must lol. The geometry tool is such a life saver and gets rid of that annoying “distortion” effect that my lens sometimes loves to throw in my face. I can’t wait to get an iPad so I can use a bigger screen to edit and see more of my photos since I am only using my phone at the moment. Lightroom is a god send!
LOVE but has some issues
by Joann Nguyen on 2018/03/17 23:37
When Lightroom CC came out, it showed amazing improvements from the classic version, and I absolutely love it. I love how it can create public albums and can instantly share to my phone, and don’t get me started on the user interface. However, I’ve had some issues. On the mobile app, when you allow it to access your photos, it will upload every photo from your phone, but when you remove the access, you can’t download the photos from the app; and you only have between the two choices. Also, I really don’t like how on the public albums, there aren’t very many settings, so when I want to show my friends my albums, they aren’t able to download the photos. I used to prefer this app over Flickr for sharing images, but it’s become a hassle because my friends aren’t able to download my photos. Anyways, pretty good app but it needs some improvements.
Good editing, but workflow feels hobbled
by RobAbroad on 2019/10/21 00:34
So, the good...the editing seems solid. The bad...some basic features seem to be missing. The main thing I really feel they need to add to the iOS version is the ability to edit or manage multiple photos as once. There is no way to tag or rate multiple images. I have dozens from the same location and it’s going to be soooo tedious tagging them. I also wish it had at least basic geotagging capabilities. I geotag my photos as part of my workflow when I import the RAW files onto the iPad. But, I can’t actually see that info inside LR. Probably not a huge deal because I can just retag inside of iOS Photos app should I choose. I noticed in various forums that users have been asking for some of these features for a while. Anyway, I’ll probably discontinue my subscription after I finish this trip and have all my editing done.
I love it
by Pajones058 on 2018/04/07 00:09
Lightroom Cc is everything I wanted in a photo management system. I use it for storage. It has an astonishing number of ways to edit. I am getting great results. I watched the videos adobe provided and now know how to effectively use the features. The fact that your pictures can be seen on all devices, real time is one of the strongest features. The one feature that is much needed is to be able to identify which photos are not in folders. I have 12,000 pictures and am overwhelmed to find those that didn’t make it into albums. I also had a lot of trouble with photos duplicating on the original upload. But don’t let these two issues stop you from buying this great, integrated package.

by LeonardoRoberto on 2018/10/29 01:30
LR classic long has been photos superior in terms of file management/organization (by a mile), but with cc now finally bringing lightroom into the cloud game - this is adobes attempt at the last piece of the puzzle that arguably had left the scales tipped in in favor of apple (arguably. and it’s a darn good fire errofinally found what to abandon a bit under featured for now (though new version is big improvement - except faces don’t seem to ever show up?), but combined with the OCD person’s wonder that is lightroom classic, lightroom is leaps and bounds better than apple. keep up the good work adobe. love you guys! jus pleaaaase don’t ever write lightroom classic out of the equation entirely (at least not until cc is as sophisticated as classic). i get that they serve two different purposes and generally for different target audiences, but them playing together nicely—as they do now—is critical.
The best photo app I’ve used except for...
by guswillcreate on 2018/07/26 03:00
I’m going to start with the best things about the app. There’s nothing like it for mobile; the HDR, Raw, and manual settings are exceptional. The editing options are superb giving you curves, clipping and crushing colors when there’s no more information in the image. I feel confident enough to edit a photo on this app as much as I would with the desktop version. Now the negatives; I mentioned that one of my favorite things about the app is the camera, but yet I still find myself using the iPhone native camera more simply because is more accessible. I wish adobe would separate the camera from the editing software. Adobe please allow me to someone pull up my light room camera app as fast as I can with the stock camera. also, being able to record video with such camera app would be amazing.
Great app but needs a few tweaks
by gofhotog on 2017/09/16 21:03
Love this app with the exception of one major missing item it would be really great if it would give you physical feedback for a focus point like it does horizontal and vertical. After using this app for a few days shooting cars for a auto dealer to post on the web, I just assumed that the quality of the images would be superior to the native camera on my iPhone. My images kept coming up blurry. Do to the nature of my work, I have to handhold my phone. Despite my trying to hold the phone steady. I then tried the native camera and was completely shocked to see that the images were sharp as a tack. I again assumed that this app would utilize the built in camera stabilization apparently it does not. Very disappointing to say the least. While I can see how this app would be great for landscapes and such. Unfortunately it does not work for my personal needs.
I’m so disappointed in the Adobe company
by Crazypaw on 2018/02/08 23:53
I’ve used their products for 10 years, and had a creative cloud membership for 3 years. I canceled my membership last week, because I never use it at home anymore. They charged me a $200 cancellation fee straight from my bank account without any warning. When trying to contact them it takes hours, and I’ve been hung up on multiple times. It’s been worse than an Uber customer service experience. They finally told me they would refund in 5 days. When that didn’t happen, I contacted them again and they told me another 5-7 days. I doubt I’ll ever get my $200 back without getting my bank involved. Never thought of Adobe as one of those sketchy companies with no morales and horrible customer service, but at the end of the day seems they’re no better than any other corporation. I’m done with them, and all the other companies just out to take your money and offer 0 accountability and integrity.
Great except for one issue
by :(!:(!35&25&&/4 on 2019/05/12 01:17
UPDATE: I love this and how it has all the same features as the desktop version. But how do I disable camera role backup? I found out that the issue from earlier was not what I thought. I can see my photos in the cloud just fine. The issue is that my camera role photos keep backing up, but I don’t want to waste cloud storage, because those are already being backed up to Google Photos. How do I fix this? Here is my original review: “I have been using Lightroom Mobile since 2017. I also use it on my computer with a Creative Cloud Subscription. It always worked fine until the latest update came. I can’t view my photos which are synced in Lightroom through Creative Cloud anymore. It just shows me the photos from my camera roll. Useless.”
Makes culling images / sending sneak peeks easy

Sync images from desktop to mobile. Quick and easy! Swipe up or down to rate and flag, simply awesome! Love most of the built in features although I’m still learning what all is packed in this app. Rated 4* due to losing my place multiple times because the app crashed while I was rating pics from a shoot while it was syncing. Once it completely synced I didn’t have any crashes. However, there needs to be a last image feature so that work can easily continue after closing and reopening the app. Save the last state or something so we don’t have to hunt for the last image we touched. This costs time and time is money in our industry. Other than that this is a great app for anyone using desktop version of LR.

Awesome app! Pros and cons.
by SMAARTIST on 2018/09/28 13:43
Fantastic app, but there are a couple of things I would have changed. The big one for me is that of after taking a couple of pictures, if I’m in camera mode, I can’t view my picture then swipe to see the other pictures I’ve taken. I think that functionality would add to the experience and make it more user friendly. I love the photo editing capabilities and the user-defined presets, but the feature I’m most fond of is the camera. Awesome flexibility and control. Works much better than the default camera on iPhone. I love being able to control my focal point manually as well as being able to see a visualization of what is in focus. Beautifully well done. I love it.
Loved it at first
by Corinne___ on 2018/06/03 23:38
So when I first got the app I, I didn’t have a subscription to adobe and every thing was perfect. I then did the trial of the subscription to the photoshop and Lightroom plan and still loved Lightroom mobile. However, a couple weeks ago my trial ended and my photos stopped coming up on the app. I thought when I ended my membership some of the editing features would end but nope, instead my photos just won’t show up. None of the photos will load because it says my trial has ended. I don’t know why that’s happening because the photos are downloaded to the app, they’re not just in the cloud backup. Anyways I would pay the $5 per month for the membership to see if my photos would actually appear but guess what my bank account has $0.80. Depressing right? Well that’s all I have to say about the app
The BEST photography app ever. Period.
by chase_gagnon on 2019/06/25 01:13
I use Lightroom primarily on my iPad, because I travel a lot and it’s easier than lugging around my laptop, and I find the experience of editing in the iPad more enjoyable. Although this is by far the best photo editing app around, it’s lacking just a few things that would put it on par with the desktop version. The main thing for me is the inability to manually select lens profiles. I used a lot of manual lenses that are not electronically connected to my camera, and it would be AWESOME if you guys could add the ability to manually select a lens profile correction like you can on the desktop. If you added this, the app would be perfect in every way for my needs.
Great- especially with premium
by udiwu on 2019/05/09 01:14
I have premium and it is definitely worth it even though it gets expensive to pay every month. I use this to edit pictures and it makes my photos look so much better. First suggestion- I want to be able to post a album of up to ten pictures to instagram..... in one post- it would be nice if you could add a feature where you could do that, if there already is please let me know how Second suggestion is if you could add a fade option.... this was a while ago but I remember when I used to have to edit with instagram there was a fade option and I used it a lot because it made the pictures look so much calmer
Nice Editing App, but ....
by Ironmonkeyface on 2018/06/16 01:18
Everything about the editing portion of the app is great. My mobile workstation is complete! Than you Adobe Lightroom, developer team. 🤘🏽 Edit: removing “That section of the app works flawlessly in my phone. The troubling part of the app is the lack of control over the photo sync. I’d like to be able to tell Lightroom mobile NOT to upload every photo on my phone - just the ones I choose. Once “All Photo Sync” is enabled you can’t turn it off. And it floods your creative account with all your photos from your phone. It’s a bit intrusive, and is eating up my CC cloud space usage. Fix this, Adobe!” The developer responded and told me how to tuen off this feature.
For the photo editing obsessed!

I have several photo editing apps on my iPhone, and I have my favorites. I have a few favorites that I use in combination (I layer) to create AMAZING photos! Artwork, really. Lightroom Creative Cloud allows me to bend and shape and color, and add light upon (without overexposing) my photographs - and the objects within them - in ways that the other apps will not. LCC is a photo corrector and enhancer. Hmm. Not sure how to explain. Often I do not realize my photos need any correction at all. Give it a shot. LCC allows you a free trial period and then monthly payments without a cancellation fee. I am still learning (I bought an instructional book); however, I am having a blast along the way!
Great tool! Especially after iPhone X upgrade
by joe_ba1 on 2017/11/30 13:28
Thank you adobe! I loved this app on my 6s plus but was initially grieved after iOS 11.1/.2 broke it for me, along with app switching and general speed problems. The crashing later cleared up (maybe weeks to stabilize?) but was slow. Now - I just upgraded to iPhone X and everything is super speedy! including lr edit auto mode that used to take forever. App switch is nice now! So if you see same thing I think it’s maybe iOS upgrade, - or the restore process that resolved it (I don’t think it was planned to break but was frustrating, no recourse or hint on solution). Great app and I love it!
So many right things but...
by Dana Photo Girl on 2017/12/02 00:09
I love this app for so many reasons but then there are some issues that keep it from greatness. It bites it’s own hand off so to speak. Pros - Adobe Sensei aka artificial intelligence rocks! I never did proper keywording and this is a life saver. It even recognizes original color in my black & whites when doing a color search. - Rating, flagging, and keywording 1 image is super easy and quick - Editing is basic but perfect for on the go - syncs most things with Lightroom Classic and CC desktop - amazing interface and image rendering Cons - you can only rate 1 image at a time. - Does not sync keywords! - With that said, I’d love the ability to use the sensei feature and quickly flag 1000s of images and then add keywords in Classic but rating 5,000 sky images 1 at a time is unreasonable to say the least. - If only the sensei feature was added to the original Lightroom that loyal followers are used to using and already have all their catalogs organized it would out of this world. In summary why have such powerful features split and make us choose? If that’s not possible with current technology then at least make this app have the ability to utilize it to work back and forth.
by flallnatural on 2018/03/30 14:24
Downloading maximum available size for sharing literally takes forever. Says "This might take a while" even after 15 minutes of it sitting there. My internet is fine. The full resolution just never downloads. Used to work. Don't know what the problem is now? Overall the features are great and the app syncs well with the desktop app too. Wish there was an option to download full resolution pictures for a certain album or for your whole library onto your device. I have 256 GB of storage on my iPhone and iPad. I'd like to be able to take advantage of that and have these full resolution pictures on my device and give me the option to store them or not.
Pocket Lightroom

Easy access to all the most used tools, good layout, easy organization. All in all, very happy with the app. My only request would be for better layout for when you’re adjusting some type of tool, but you’re blocking the view of the photo either with the toolbar from the bottom or with your thumb. Maybe there’s some way that the toolbar could always disappear whenever you move a slider and you can keep changing that slider by moving your finger left and right, and then double tap to bring the toolbar back up? I don’t know, y’all will figure it out. Thank you ! Strongly recommend the app
not user friendly, time consuming to use
by lnh726 on 2019/01/03 20:27
I pay for Lightroom on my computer so I also get the app. Being that this is a premium paid app I would expect it to be better as far as features and easier to use than comparable free apps like Snapseed. Snapseed is hands-down a better photo editing app and no matter how much I try to edit photos on Lightroom I always find myself going back to Snapseed because it is just so much easier to use and make quick edits on the go. The feature I hate most on Lightroom app is the brush tool. I have tried time and again to use it and I cannot figure out how to use it properly. Snapseed brush tool is very easy to use and I can quickly edit great looking photos on that app. Light room developers please fix the brush feature on the app, it is terrible!
Please add “download all originals” option
by penguins66 on 2018/09/25 10:49
It would be very helpful to those of us who do a lot of flying if you would add an option that allows a single click “download all originals to local storage,” so that we can edit photos when off-line on the plane. Offline editing is currently possible through local storage, but you have to swipe through all the images first to make sure that the originals have been downloaded to local storage. That can be a very time-consuming process. Otherwise, the app is terrific and I continue to enjoy the quality updates. Keep up the good work!

I really love this app, it's editing capabilities are amazing and it's all I use because I cannot afford a decent laptop or computer at the time for the desktop version. I realized you have to have a monthly subscription to the creative cloud to use selective editing and I understand why, but I have no use for the creative cloud at the moment and I wish there was a way to get selective edits with a 1 time purchase. To be honest I wouldn't care if it was 10 or 20 bucks I think it's worth it because there is nothing like it on the appstore right now. Please consider the people who only use a mobile device for editing, most of us don't need the creative cloud or just can't afford it monthly. Thank you for such a great app.
Change is hard but this is great
by mabradfo on 2017/11/12 18:57
Adobe recently updated their photography offering and it’s a big change. The desktop software is simplified but the biggest change is cloud storage and seamless editing across all devices. This is what I’ve been waiting for. The is parity for the most part across all devices and I no long have to worry about where my photos are stored or if they are backed up. It should be noted that I am not a professional photographer so my workflow is that of an advanced armature. I’m sure that has an affect of my opinion but in that capacity I highly recommend.
Imported pictures I didn’t want
by Bnghvcgbvfgjkoojxdjkhgyh on 2018/07/31 02:10
When I went into the mobile app on my phone to save it to my camera roll, I went to edit a picture because I was bored. I was VERY DISPLEASED when it imported 15 of my most recent photos from my iPhone camera role. I wish there was a way to DELETE photos from the cloud. I am a student who is paying for the creative cloud option and it’s a lot to pay for. I don’t want to pay for storage of stuff I don’t want taking up storage. This is a problem that needs to be fixed because I didn’t choose to import them. Adobe software it would be great if you could help me take the photos off of my cloud and maybe even develop a way to delete the photos. Thank you for reading ( if you did )

I love Lightroom CC. I used to edit and organize my DSLR photos in Bridge and Camera Raw on my laptop, but now I have changed my whole workflow and I couldn’t be happier with it. I can load my photos directly to my iPad Pro and the editing is so fast and pleasant I don’t even need a computer in the mix. However, whatever I upload to LR CC is automatically downloaded to my PC and also stored there (in case something happens and one can’t access the cloud, this is my paranoia backup.) I also use it frequently on my phone, when I want to edit a photo on the go and upload it to IG. Love it!

Started taking pics on a semi professional level seven years ago I am mediately began using Adobe Lightroom. Over the years as that application has advanced and features has been added, each new version presents a whole new slew of options for photographers. When the app came out and I realized I could sync my mobile library with my master Lightroom catalog at home. I was thrilled...but there were some very important adjustment settings not included. As the years pass, the app has evolved, presenting users with the frees and there are now a fantastic amount of options that come close to the develop settings on the Lightroom CC application. Adobe had done fantastic work with this program, always, but it's these extra things features if you will that make him an absolute necessity for a photographer. Thank you Adobe. Please keep it up!! -Wes Candela
Good start
by DrBarryS on 2018/01/27 14:25
Adobe has established a new cloud based infrastructure that appears to be a solid start. Not as elegant as Photos, it offers many more features in terms of organization and asset management. Adobe’s challenge will be to quickly improve, optimize, and add features in the crowded and feature rich photo cloud storage market while charging a premium price. Obviously the best user for this app are those who are already using Lightroom desktop. Unfortunately Adobe has created avoidable confusion in their poorly handled naming of their Lightroom ecosystem: as an example it is nearly impossible to do specific Google searching on a LR product.
A great app for beginners that don’t have Photoshop
by samjray105 on 2018/09/05 12:28
A take a lot of sunrise shots, so I opted to pay the $5/mo to get the selective adjustments so I can still see the foregrounds without compromising the vivid colors of the sky. As you take more shots, you’ll find endless ways to utilize the selective adjustments. For example, I took a pic of a drooping giant foxtail weed head covered in dew, and there was a tiny cucumber beetle on the top. I adjusted the overall lighting and colors to my liking, and then used the paint option on the selective adj and only increased the exposure on the tiny insect to bring out its green. Very pleased so far!
Home bar distracting on iPhone X and later
by AOANLA on 2018/10/08 18:45
OK, first off this app is overall great. It's the only "real" photo editing app for mobile devices that I've found, it works really well, and it integrates beautifully with desktop Lightroom. It's regularly updated as well, with useful new features that make it more and more powerful. I've used it for years and I love it. However, on iPhone X and later, the home bar that sits at the bottom of the screen is annoying. These phones have no physical phone button and have a visual reminder instead which looks like a line across the bottom of the screen. Especially when used in landscape orientation, it blocks a significant portion of the display and reduces screen real estate (and therefore the viewing size of the photo I'm editing) significantly. It serves no function and there's no way to disable it on the user end. Many apps will automatically hide the home bar to allow a fullscreen view. I hope that Lightroom Mobile adds that functionality soon, and I'll revise this review when they do.
Great functionality wrapped in an okay UI
by Plaid Knight on 2018/02/07 18:07
Functionality is great, as you’d expect. But the app needs some UI enhancements. Menu is hidden behind an “Lr” icon for some reason; I literally never found it until I looked online for something else. The app doesn’t use native iOS scrolling, so it feels very strange to use. The editing interface needs some work, especially when using the local selection tools (when using a few dozen of these on one photo, the app has a hard time knowing whether I’m trying to adjust the size of the currently-selected element or selecting a different one that’s next to or overlapping it).
Truly the future of photography
by masnun on 2019/03/14 02:52
Has the best camera of all the apps I tried. The HDR mode is simply awesome. The auto tuning of RAW images are just perfect. Provides fine grained control over my photos. This is a must have app for anyone interested in photography. The $4.99 per month subscription is totally worth it. I went ahead and bought their $9.99 package which includes the desktop app and 1TB of space. Lightroom and Photoshop Express for mobile are the only two apps I frequently use in my day to day photography.
Great App
by bexcontreras on 2018/05/04 00:00
To start, lemme just say I love this app! It's a condensed, mobile version of the real thing. However there is another app by Google I love: Snapseed. I'm having a dilemma between the two bc (1) Snapseed allows me to do all the things Lightroom does, however, it doesn't have the filter I use to keep my insta "theme/aesthetic", and (2) Lightroom has the filter I use but doesn't have a good way to edit portraits. I mean actually smoothing the persons skin, brightening their eyes, ECT... Also I own a 16 GB iPhone so, as both take up a lot of space, I really can't have both apps. I'm asking developers to create a way to edit people's faces and so forth!!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!🙏🏼🙏🏼
A failure of Adobe
by Pittsburghswo on 2018/04/29 13:44
This app has continually become worse with each update. Currently using on a 256GB iPhone X. When dealing with any photos is causes the phone to overheat to the point I have to put it in the freezer to cool it down...and it only happens with THIS app. My wife can load up a single frame, iPhone phone for manipulation/editing and she can’t even get through a simple “auto” before the screen dims. Any form of selecting a portion of the photo, adjusting color or brightness and the app just gets worse. Phone overheats, app shuts down, etc. I’ve written Adobe about this on numerous occasions as a PAYING customer and I can’t even get a basic troubleshooting email in return...or ANY email in that case. So, after a year of trying...I’m finally placing my honest review. Don’t waste your money...
What is happening?!
by Ana1984777 on 2018/12/13 21:21
I use this app on phone and computer every single day for my photography... however, I just updated and now I can’t edit without it crashing. It won’t save anything. My photos that have already been edited have lost their edits. My phone and computer are not syncing edits even though it says it is and I’ve lost some of the presets I made. Thankfully I have SOME of them exported onto a drive. I updated both the computer version and my phone. I’ve restarted everything. Nothing is working and now as soon as I open the app, my whole phone freezes up and glitches even after I close the app out! Please please fix it! I’m so tired of paying for things that don’t work...
The app keeps dimming my screen
by Katy8663 on 2019/09/02 20:36
I have all of my settings set correctly for auto dimmer. So even if the battery on my phone is running low, it is set to NOT dim automatically. Only while using this app, my phone dims extremely. I’ll be editing a photo and by the time I finish one photo my phone is so dim I can barely see. I KNOW that it is the app because as soon as I leave the app, my phone brightens again. This is extremely frustrating as I desperately need to edit my photos with this amazing app. But I can’t even see what I’m doing. Please fix this bug. Signed extremely aggravated customer.
Finally, a photo editing app with custom presets!
by DoctorTaco123 on 2018/08/08 06:48
Both the computer and iOS versions of the app are streamlined and easy to use. The cloud feature is incredible helpful as well, since I can now edit photos anywhere with the same capacity as a desktop program. My only complaints - for both the computer and iOS version - are that batch editing is not possible, and that the Edit History panel from previous Lightroom programs does not exist either. There are improvements that need to be made, but this version of Lightroom is still utterly amazing! 👍
My New go to Editing App
by ghosttrooper127 on 2018/09/12 14:29
As a long time desktop Lightroom user, I was thrilled to have it come to mobile because of one particular thing: presets. Having my library of desktop presets I have created/purchased over the years on my phone is incredible. That plus the advanced education editing features, the ability to shoot raw photos, and the fantastic edit syncing with the desktop application makes this app the best possible mobile editing app. Excellent work on Adobe’s part.
Lost Pictures
by cookiecookis on 2018/08/12 00:01
I’m in love with Lightroom, it’s the only thing I edit my pictures on as a photographer. The only problem I have is that my phone suddenly broke and didn’t work, so I got a new phone, but I had to re-download the app. I opened the app and all of my pictures were gone. They weren’t in my camera roll either due to my iCloud backup storage being full. So I lost about 200 pictures and I’m super upset about it:( i stupidly deleted them from my dslr camera. I figured my photos that were saved on the app would still be there after re-dowloading...
Great app but no portrait features
by alexandersawyer on 2017/10/14 01:45
I really love having the power of Lightroom on iOS, but I just don’t understand why it can’t process portrait mode photos. Plenty of other 3rd apps can edit the photo, Lightroom just seems to flatten it completely and remove and depth effect. It would also be nice to be able to shoot using portrait mode right in Lightroom instead of having to use the native camera app. I know other apps (Camera+) does this but I’m not sure how Apple lets portrait mode work with raw. Would love to at least be able to edit a portrait mode photo!
LR User for Years
by tree on 2017/10/30 15:36
I love this app. I shoot mostly film, but do snap photos on my phone often. Great for doing what I need directly through the phone. Pretty bummed a lot of the presets I had been using are now gone (the multiple punch options, ALL the b&w film presets, etc.). Also, maybe I don’t use the app enough, but I feel like the interface changes every month. So as soon as I’m learning what this swipe does or that save feature or whatnot, next time I use the app it’s different or gone. I mean, I’m all for progress, but it seems a bit haphazard. Maybe if I used it more frequently it wouldn’t be a problem. Keep up the great work!
