The app should have finger printing as an option for security. The reasons for invalidity shown is neither correct nor helpful. It is misleading at best. The app should work on any and as many devices as the customer wants or needs but works with just one equipment. Unfortunate that the largest public sector banks in the country has an app that is neither user friendly nor convenient.

Overall works stable for me but I did have big problems to initialize the app but once everything got fixed it works quite predictably except for random issues like ‘We are experiencing network issues’ no matter what you click on after signing in. I normally use the app to check balance primarily, fund transfer etc. I do through net banking on a laptop. I stay outside of India. Godd job and keep improving and simplifying the app...THANKS to the team...Kudos!

Why do you need customers to re-register if you update the app? Doesn’t make any sense. Though I followed the registration steps but got message saying you have already registered. Seriously, what are you developing? Is this thoroughly tested? You guys have to follow what other banks are upto in the current market. And as usual Customer Service is on horrible experience. Waste of time, deleted your App.

The most important feature required is the balance amount in the account AFTER EVERY STEP of debit or credit activity. __ Easy access (less number of steps to go thru) to the default account’s summary would also be great.

Not sure if any useful testing is done before releasing any update. Every time the app is broken and a user has to re-register and start afresh. Apple should kick this app out from App Store for below par app dev standards.

When you are saying that it’s only for Indians why should you ask passport as identity. Why don’t you put arhat card. If you ask voter card then how can it having expiry date. I have never given any reviews ever, I desperately wanted to rate this worst app from SBI. It doesn’t allow multiple account login ( to different sbi online accounts), it doesn’t allow to unregistered and re-register for new user. The transaction limits are different from YONO app vs online browser sessions.. I don’t know what SBI IT guys are thinking!!!

I never experienced such a old crappy user interface and horrible app from the largest banker in India. There are small niche banks with budgets smaller than a percent of SBI who done a better job for their banking app. Multiple hops to view balance. Multiple issues with registration. Paired this with another app for OTP which is another big hassle for money transfer. All in all, one of the worst apps.

App is awful. UI is terrible. Customer care executives speak highly accented English and are completely unhelpful. They have multiple departments for every tiny detail and they'll keep giving you numbers to call instead of directing the phone themselves. SBI is the worst bank, and so is this app.

I know SBI is a Government undertaking and that people have low expectations. But, this app has a lot of potential. Developers- please take some inspiration from the DBS app. Alt least make the UI attractive. This new update as of March 2019 is just the change of color scheme which for me is amazing! But the UI is still old and same. Like for EasyPin screen make it “circle” or a different design rather than the boring old “number box”. You get me? Make something I can be proud of. Take a page from the UPI App. That is a decent work of art- if anything. Hope this doesn’t fall on deaf ears. Thanks

SBI, has proved time and again that it’s not just their attitude but the app as well which is Pathetic. I have been an NRI all my life, using International banks and conducting all my banking only thru the apps. But with SBI, it’s the other way around. This app must be redesigned to address and support users to complete all banking requirements thru the app. Hope they take notes of customer reviews and make amends.

Really frustrating app in banking sector. I use to reload 3 to 4 to login. Since I am getting technical errors every time in every day. No finger print Authenticator to login. Slow app comparatively. And I can’t use this app in other devices simultaneously.

Mediocre design

SBI for me has been a decent bank among the group of non-private legacy banks of India, the staff in their branches has been friendly in my experience in Goa. However this app could improve the design vastly. The hit areas in the interface for touch are too closely spaced (login button for example) and then further the grouping of services and products is a little ambiguous. I don’t think the app designers have followed the iOS guidelines from Apple.

I read a lot of reviews which says poor design or need rework. I am using the app for couple of years. I am not saying that I am fully satisfied but still this App did what it should do. There were hitches but the team behind this App are trying to do the best. Instead of doing demotivating please do feedback to make it perfect. I can suggest a touchID login option. Great job Team SBI App developers.

App doesn’t allow to sign in and throws an error “API argument missing + “ this is happening from the day I started using IPhone XS and previously on 6S device it was working fine. This is a serious bug and need to be fixed ASAP. The app which I’m using is the latest version.

This app makes life difficult rather than easy. I use other banking apps here in USA. In comparison this app is terribly clunky, not user friendly and keeps asking me to register which I complete successfully each time. I cannot open multiple account logins with this app. I keep getting an API error when I use a pin. It’s just frustrating. Overall user experience is seriously low. SBI, please recruit a proper UX designer to revamp this app. If you already have UX designers then fire them and hire new competent ones. Also, your product managers don’t understand what user flow really is. You have tons of useless stuff like mPassbook where you have to get pins and stuff. Banking apps should be clean, concise and functional. All in all, a really bad app. Not recommended at all.
Terrible design

I don’t think any thought has gone into the design of this app or even their website. All the options are so convoluted. Even the logout option is hidden behind a weird arrow. When I list my deposit accounts all I see are the eleven digit numbers. I have no way of telling whether the account is a RD or a FD. I have to then somehow try to remember which account number corresponds to what. Whoever signed off on this design has absolutely no aesthetic sense and doesn’t know what a decent user interface looks like.

There is not Face/Touch ID for login functionality. Also, the 6 digit pin never works for me. It always throws some null error even after I tried setting my new 6 digit pin for like 1000 times. Each time I have to enter username/password to login.

This app is the best example how poorly designed an app can be. It's simply the website taken and styled on a smart phone. The setup is extremely unintuitive and you have to do 6-7 menu drill downs to get something basic done. Example: fund transfer. Usual SBI gimmicks like logs out a user randomly with no warning. It really doesn't add anything on top of the website. Instead it is more restrictive like you can't add a beneficiary on the app but you can log on to the website and add one. And then there is that thing that server is down. 😂 For sure, there is a lot to improve. However, SBI's online presence in comparison to other Government banks is actually quite good. But, given the resources and everything, a bank of this scale should have a way more polished app

6 digit pin layout is very unfriendly

Everything is functional except, there is no finger print or biometric integration. Finger print integration with the app makes it very simple and easy to use. The pin layout is very annoying, small and it does not match with the regular digit pattern on the phone and makes it error prone. Hope it gets fixed

Earlier I used to use Sbi freedom.. but here in this app, the user credential part has been managed so purely that its asking for 'registering' all the time, then also it doesn't understand my id as a registered user(although received text message), login is a pain. If India's number one bank is having this pathetic situation it's very unfortunate. Hope team will look into this part.

Existing freedom user unable to register

I was a state bank freedom user. That App was removed and I am redirected to this app. After installing , when trying to register using existing freedom user option, it gives the same error everytime : "unable to process. Please try again later ". In other words , this simply does not work. As I am not an Internet banking user (only mobile banking so far) , SBI just removed my access from a perfectly functional app to this junk app which won't even register me ! Shameful implementation
Extremely user unfriendly

The app is extremely hard to use, especially logging in. If you have a generated password that is 20 characters long the app expects you to type it by hand. After you finally get in you can then setup a 6 digit PIN that completely unwinds the purpose of a secure password. Some of the links in the mobile app don’t work - manage debit card, for example. The app doesn’t support Touch ID.

Hi, the app is great for doing almost all the activities required for a daily needs. However, would like to give the following feedback which we would like to see on the upcoming updates: 1. Almost all the places, it shows my Account nickname while doing a transaction. And its great and easy to understand which account to use. But while selecting ‘Manage Debit Card’ under services, it shows the account number instead of the account nickname which get confused sometimes. 2. Is there a problem for integrating Touch ID or Face ID while logging in? It would be better if the user have an option to select Face ID or Easy PIN option. 3. While doing app switching, it would be better if the SBI Anywhere app can be locked and show the display page, or atleast keep it as option in setting for the user to select.

This app has all the features of internet banking. User interface is so nice and clean. Features are in proper groups, thats very good. I don't need to look around all the menus. Few features need to be added in this app so that we never need to go to sbi branch and waiting in long queues, talk to arrogant branch managers... 1. Report debit card lost/stolen. 2. issue/replace new debit card. 3. Online debit card pin change. 4. Open account from online/app. 5. Login with Touch id. Keep up the good work !!!

This app needs rigorous testing, it asks to register multiple times, sometimes we don't receive OTP, I must admit I have seen "technical difficulties" error many times, overall it's not reliable, SBI should hire good software professionals to code this. I am disappointed with its overall performance.

SBI, if you want people to use this app couple of times a day (you know the benefits if people start uses more than 3 times a day), you can do it easily. Just do one small magic. Implement Apple Touch ID. It's must. No one on iPhone these days enter user if and password. Don't you check your competitor app? Or simple you don't care because you already have huge customer base? If this is the case, then don't forget what happened to Nokia company. Banking in India changing. If you don't keep updating your app as per market, just for the sake of insufficient securities, then remember , even lakhs of low income group customer will start leaving you. Registration process taking years to complete with this laziest bank app

So far the activation code was not received after tried to register for like 100 times in the last few weeks. Now the activation code received, finished the registration, automatically redirect to the login page, but when tried logging in, it gives error saying ''finish the registration process, two attempts remain and the app will reset'' this app is a complete waste of time. SBI is one of the biggest and well recognised bank in india but they are very lazy and outdated in technology.. looks like this is a very low quality cheap app design. Worst !

Surely some school drop out has developed the app free for SBI. Asks you to register, confirms registration complete via SMS and if you attempt to login it will warn you to register first! So you will go in circles a few times and then delete the app. Do your self a favor and Don't Install this junk app! Can iTunes introduce a zero star rating please?

Using 5.3.1 version, but not able to get OTP for registration. What could be the reasons? Very pathetic that such bug is not resolved for more than 2 weeks now by an Indian largest bank. Please resolve. AK Suresh

This app makes life difficult rather than easy. I use other banking apps here in USA. In comparison this app is terribly clunky, not user friendly and keeps asking me to register which I complete successfully each time. I cannot open multiple account logins with this app. I keep getting an API error when I use a pin. It’s just frustrating. Overall user experience is seriously low. SBI, please recruit a proper UX designer to revamp this app. If you already have UX designers then fire them and hire new competent ones. Also, your product managers don’t understand what user flow really is. You have tons of useless stuff like mPassbook where you have to get pins and stuff. Banking apps should be clean, concise and functional. All in all, a really bad app. Not recommended at all.

Hi, the app is great for doing almost all the activities required for a daily needs. However, would like to give the following feedback which we would like to see on the upcoming updates: 1. Almost all the places, it shows my Account nickname while doing a transaction. And its great and easy to understand which account to use. But while selecting ‘Manage Debit Card’ under services, it shows the account number instead of the account nickname which get confused sometimes. 2. Is there a problem for integrating Touch ID or Face ID while logging in? It would be better if the user have an option to select Face ID or Easy PIN option. 3. While doing app switching, it would be better if the SBI Anywhere app can be locked and show the display page, or atleast keep it as option in setting for the user to select.
Lots of room for improvement. I’m serious.

I know SBI is a Government undertaking and that people have low expectations. But, this app has a lot of potential. Developers- please take some inspiration from the DBS app. Alt least make the UI attractive. This new update as of March 2019 is just the change of color scheme which for me is amazing! But the UI is still old and same. Like for EasyPin screen make it “circle” or a different design rather than the boring old “number box”. You get me? Make something I can be proud of. Take a page from the UPI App. That is a decent work of art- if anything. Hope this doesn’t fall on deaf ears. Thanks

I read a lot of reviews which says poor design or need rework. I am using the app for couple of years. I am not saying that I am fully satisfied but still this App did what it should do. There were hitches but the team behind this App are trying to do the best. Instead of doing demotivating please do feedback to make it perfect. I can suggest a touchID login option. Great job Team SBI App developers.

Overall works stable for me but I did have big problems to initialize the app but once everything got fixed it works quite predictably except for random issues like ‘We are experiencing network issues’ no matter what you click on after signing in. I normally use the app to check balance primarily, fund transfer etc. I do through net banking on a laptop. I stay outside of India. Godd job and keep improving and simplifying the app...THANKS to the team...Kudos!

SBI for me has been a decent bank among the group of non-private legacy banks of India, the staff in their branches has been friendly in my experience in Goa. However this app could improve the design vastly. The hit areas in the interface for touch are too closely spaced (login button for example) and then further the grouping of services and products is a little ambiguous. I don’t think the app designers have followed the iOS guidelines from Apple.
Existing freedom user unable to register

I was a state bank freedom user. That App was removed and I am redirected to this app. After installing , when trying to register using existing freedom user option, it gives the same error everytime : "unable to process. Please try again later ". In other words , this simply does not work. As I am not an Internet banking user (only mobile banking so far) , SBI just removed my access from a perfectly functional app to this junk app which won't even register me ! Shameful implementation

I don’t think any thought has gone into the design of this app or even their website. All the options are so convoluted. Even the logout option is hidden behind a weird arrow. When I list my deposit accounts all I see are the eleven digit numbers. I have no way of telling whether the account is a RD or a FD. I have to then somehow try to remember which account number corresponds to what. Whoever signed off on this design has absolutely no aesthetic sense and doesn’t know what a decent user interface looks like.

This app is the best example how poorly designed an app can be. It's simply the website taken and styled on a smart phone. The setup is extremely unintuitive and you have to do 6-7 menu drill downs to get something basic done. Example: fund transfer. Usual SBI gimmicks like logs out a user randomly with no warning. It really doesn't add anything on top of the website. Instead it is more restrictive like you can't add a beneficiary on the app but you can log on to the website and add one. And then there is that thing that server is down. 😂 For sure, there is a lot to improve. However, SBI's online presence in comparison to other Government banks is actually quite good. But, given the resources and everything, a bank of this scale should have a way more polished app

Earlier I used to use Sbi freedom.. but here in this app, the user credential part has been managed so purely that its asking for 'registering' all the time, then also it doesn't understand my id as a registered user(although received text message), login is a pain. If India's number one bank is having this pathetic situation it's very unfortunate. Hope team will look into this part.

The app should have finger printing as an option for security. The reasons for invalidity shown is neither correct nor helpful. It is misleading at best. The app should work on any and as many devices as the customer wants or needs but works with just one equipment. Unfortunate that the largest public sector banks in the country has an app that is neither user friendly nor convenient.
6 digit pin layout is very unfriendly

Everything is functional except, there is no finger print or biometric integration. Finger print integration with the app makes it very simple and easy to use. The pin layout is very annoying, small and it does not match with the regular digit pattern on the phone and makes it error prone. Hope it gets fixed

This app has all the features of internet banking. User interface is so nice and clean. Features are in proper groups, thats very good. I don't need to look around all the menus. Few features need to be added in this app so that we never need to go to sbi branch and waiting in long queues, talk to arrogant branch managers... 1. Report debit card lost/stolen. 2. issue/replace new debit card. 3. Online debit card pin change. 4. Open account from online/app. 5. Login with Touch id. Keep up the good work !!!

The app is extremely hard to use, especially logging in. If you have a generated password that is 20 characters long the app expects you to type it by hand. After you finally get in you can then setup a 6 digit PIN that completely unwinds the purpose of a secure password. Some of the links in the mobile app don’t work - manage debit card, for example. The app doesn’t support Touch ID.

Why do you need customers to re-register if you update the app? Doesn’t make any sense. Though I followed the registration steps but got message saying you have already registered. Seriously, what are you developing? Is this thoroughly tested? You guys have to follow what other banks are upto in the current market. And as usual Customer Service is on horrible experience. Waste of time, deleted your App.

I never experienced such a old crappy user interface and horrible app from the largest banker in India. There are small niche banks with budgets smaller than a percent of SBI who done a better job for their banking app. Multiple hops to view balance. Multiple issues with registration. Paired this with another app for OTP which is another big hassle for money transfer. All in all, one of the worst apps.

The most important feature required is the balance amount in the account AFTER EVERY STEP of debit or credit activity. __ Easy access (less number of steps to go thru) to the default account’s summary would also be great.

There is not Face/Touch ID for login functionality. Also, the 6 digit pin never works for me. It always throws some null error even after I tried setting my new 6 digit pin for like 1000 times. Each time I have to enter username/password to login.

I have never given any reviews ever, I desperately wanted to rate this worst app from SBI. It doesn’t allow multiple account login ( to different sbi online accounts), it doesn’t allow to unregistered and re-register for new user. The transaction limits are different from YONO app vs online browser sessions.. I don’t know what SBI IT guys are thinking!!!

App is awful. UI is terrible. Customer care executives speak highly accented English and are completely unhelpful. They have multiple departments for every tiny detail and they'll keep giving you numbers to call instead of directing the phone themselves. SBI is the worst bank, and so is this app.

Really frustrating app in banking sector. I use to reload 3 to 4 to login. Since I am getting technical errors every time in every day. No finger print Authenticator to login. Slow app comparatively. And I can’t use this app in other devices simultaneously.

SBI, has proved time and again that it’s not just their attitude but the app as well which is Pathetic. I have been an NRI all my life, using International banks and conducting all my banking only thru the apps. But with SBI, it’s the other way around. This app must be redesigned to address and support users to complete all banking requirements thru the app. Hope they take notes of customer reviews and make amends.

Getting below error message right after installation. Could not able to perform any other action. Whereas yono app is working fine. Error: unable to establish connection.
