Two broken buses, app completely wrong

Two out of two trips bus broke down and hours late. The app didn’t reflect initial bus breakdown and trip delay. The bus was to arrive at 3 pm. No bus at 7 pm and app says, “You’ve arrived!” Not helpful for person picking up a passenger. Also, no info on contacting a real person if issues with a ticket.

Highly don’t recommend using these services to book your next trip. Especially of importance. Unorganized and horrible customer service. Doesn’t stick to their schedule and is never on time or just doesn’t show up. Difficult to get a refund and get in touch with customer service. They’re UNRELIABLE. There’s a reason they have a 2.8 rating, you know the rule, if it’s not above a 3.5 it’s not worth being of service anymore. App user interface is poorly unexecuted and a struggle to use with no way to confirm that the bus driver actually stopped by other than the bus drivers word. Skips stops as well. I’d give a zero if I can don’t waste your time or money surprised they’re still in business here. Take it off the app store

FlixBus does not clearly specify the stops so I kept missing the $80 bus yesterday night and today $40 wasting time and money, customer support refuses to give me refund, located in Slovakia Europe (untouchable). I will never take that green bus again. It would be very easy for them to give precise Google Maps location, but they don’t. The App is that confusing to use that it is difficult to find ticket number and stations. I will never use Flixbus again. I am Sorry.

Had two great rides and a terrible one with this company. It’s hard to find the bus station and buses appear to have different looks, I missed one ride because of that. Other than that, the trip is good. So I will say the hardest part is to get on the bus

We waited in the cold (with a kid) for our 7:15am montclair-los angeles schedule not knowing their bus was delayed til 10am. I didnt know about the delay until I called their customer service, no notification through app or email. i asked to cancel all our trips because they ruined our schedule and asked for the refund, they promised me full refund because of the inconvenience and since it’s the first time, but when i emailed their financial services they would give me what they promised. This is cheap, but this is such an unreliable and heartless company. They wouldnt even understand yoursituation and what happened and insisit on giving you a voucher even if you couldnt use it on where you live. This company ruined our trip and at the same time wouldnt make up for it. thumbs down for both the company and its employees who cant even understand the hassle they brought to the customer

Where do I begin - Let’s start with the fact that there is no difference between the app and the website. I thoroughly enjoy how you can never seem to show real-time locations of your buses nor up to date arrival/departure times. The customer service section, is a joke! It just takes you through a loop of screens without giving you the option to actually do anything. In order to actually contact FlixBus, I had to go to google and search for the customer service number. I don’t know what high school intern they didn’t pay to develop this app, but they should probably get a better one next time.

The app will not accept payments. After entering multiple credit cards a notification says “Payment Failed-please try again with selected payment method or try to use another one” (e. g. Paypal). Same error shows regardless of payment method.

Altogether FlixBus is far less decent to ride on than other competitors. The bus “WiFi” will be almost strong enough to load an intial google search but not quite and the outlets are in quite possibly the worst position possible. While the trips are okay I am arriving 1.5 hours late when the bus left on time.

Flixbus is appealing on the surface but their drivers are hit or miss. Beware. I was scheduled for a trip from SF to LA. The overnight bus, 100 minutes late, came with a very irate and abusive driver who kicked me off the bus for asking why I can’t sit in my assigned seat (I purchased a front seat assignment). She got angry, made me get in the back of the boarding line for my question, then denied me entry back on the bus after waiting. There was plenty of seats available. She also denied 8 other passengers for offenses such as asking why the bus was late. Each passenger filed a complaint. She would not give her name to any of the passengers. We later compared notes and found her to be unreasonable on every level. I filed a detailed three-page complaint with a photo and asked for a full refund plus other travel expenses I had to make as a result of the driver’s horrific behavior. I got an email reply a few days later saying they are sorry I didn’t experience the excellent drivers they have but they will give me a refund of $7.99 for the reserved seat. Really? They did not give any explanation why the bus was significantly late, and why the bus driver was so abusive or why I didn’t get a full refund when I was denied service. I ended up calling my credit company who took care of it immediately. Flixbus needs to improve their service and performance. Maybe some lines are consistently good, but it seems hit or miss. Since this experience, I’ve talked with several travelers who say similar things about Flixbus. My sis in law has good experiences on another line with this company but I’ve heard a so many negative things that I will NEVER purchase a ticket on Flixbus again. In the end, I took MEGABUS to get to LA. The Megabus came on time, the driver greeted passengers, and informed us of every planned stop and updated us on ETA. It reached LA as planned and on time.

I saw a lot of really negative reviews beforehand that made me really nervous to take this bus, but it worked out great. The bus was 20 minutes late, but did show up and traveled fast. Got from Santa Barbara to SLO for $5.

I had a terrible experience with Flixbus my first time and thought I would give it a second chance. Turns out I should have listened to my gut and not taken that chance. My first experience with Flixbus was when my sister booked a bus from Los Angeles to San Diego. First of all, the bus came an hour late and when my sister and some other passengers tried getting on, the bus driver said that the bus was full and they could only take a portion of the passengers who had tickets for this certain bus. We asked them what we were supposed to do and if there was another bus coming. The driver had no idea and it was clear there was no communication between bus drivers and the higher ups. Eventually, the driver said there was another bus coming in about 20 minutes and left. After waiting about an hour longer, it was pretty clear that the driver lied to us just to get us off her back. We called customer service and they informed us they had no way of tracking the buses and didn’t know if there would be another bus to San Diego that day. My sister and the other abandoned passengers ended up taking an Amtrak from Union Station instead, and no one was refunded from Flixbus even though it was clearly their fault. My second experience was when my sister and I got tickets for a 4:50pm Flixbus from Westwood to La Jolla. We waited at the bus stop from 4:30 to 6:30 and the bus never came. We called customer service three times and talked to four people. During the first call, the representative said that they had no way of tracking our bus but their records indicated that a bus did come (however, we were there the whole time and did not see a bus to La Jolla). We called again around 6pm and the second rep told me he was tracking the bus on their GPS and it would be there in 5-10min. I told him this contradicted what the first rep said and he said he would check in with a superior and told me to call him back in 10 minutes. At this point, it was obvious I would not get back in contact with him since he didn’t give me a direct line to him. I called the customer service number 10 minutes later anyway and another rep picked up. She said she has no way to track the bus and since it was past the pickup time, our ticket expired and we could not get a refund. I then spoke to her supervisor and she informed me she could not give me a refund or even book me another bus ticket. She then told me to just buy another Flixbus ticket for a different ticket. I ended up having to find lodging in Westwood that night since there were no more buses and I took an Amtrak to La Jolla the next morning. I’d also like to mention that the app was useless and did not provide any updates on the location of the bus or of any delays. tldr: don’t waste your time and money. Take Amtrak instead.

The buses are usually very late and delayed often I had to wait for 6 hours one time for a bus from Los Angeles to San Jose. They don’t even have the courtesy to inform about these delays. And another time the driver stopped the bus for 20 minutes at rest stop and started the bus around within 18 minutes by which I missed that bus oh btw even that day the bus started late by 1.5 hours. The driver wanted to catch up and started the bus earlier than she said she would. When the customer service is called about this they totally always defend the driver. They won’t even give you the courtesy of the next bus and behave like total imbeciles. They shame you and talk like you owe them. Worst of all these customer service is always busy or no one takes the calls. Shame on FlixBus.

FlixBus seems to be a cheap way to get where you need to go. But of course I wouldn’t be writing such a negative review for a successful trip with them. My bus never showed and after half and hour I decided to call their customer support line. I was told by the agent that the bus was delayed and that the driver contacted them to say that the delay would be about an hour long. I was also told to not leave the stop as the bus could come earlier than that. I ended up waiting 2 hours at the stop for a bus that never came. I called again and was told that the bus had left on time and that there was no delay. She also confirmed that the driver did not call to alert them of an hour delay. This is honestly the most disorganized company I’ve ever dealt with. I confirmed multiple times before ending the first call that there was a delay, and to turn around and tell me that there wasn’t makes zero sense. I tried to clarify in my second call what I was told and was swiftly brushed aside by being told that they were misinformed. The thing that really bugs me is that they confirmed that there was a delay from the driver, but on the second call apparently there was no record of that. I was also told that all of the buses used would say FlixBus, and towards the end of the call they mentioned that there were other buses that do not say FlixBus. Every interaction from them has been completely contradictory and I don’t think I’ve gotten an honest an clear answer from them on anything. I waited with two other passengers who’d been at the stop at least half an hour before the given arrival time who also wasted two hours of their time on a service that didn’t even deliver. Terrible business practice, extremely poor customer service, and a huge waste of my time. Please save yourself the time and money by paying for a better service.

Bus was scheduled to arrive to UCLA at 12.30am on 11/10/19 and with the somewhat “reckless” speedy driving of the bus driver on this particular trip he arrived 15 minutes earlier to my destination. It was very cold and dark outside at around midnight in LA so I asked the driver if ok to wait 5 minutes inside until my ride arrives, he basically kicked me out of the bus and erratically took off speeding through the town again. Not a good experience:-(. Similarly my friend who tried this company for the first time was sharing how their driver treated passengers with lack of respect and professionalism.

Really upsetting! My daughter was to go on the 6:30pm bus on 11/3 it never showed up! She had left a family fun yearly , took a Lyft to sit outside by herself for 2 hours!!!! Her phone was close to being dead. Luckily she got a hold of me and I was able to sit with her and charge her phone in my car! It would have been nice if FlixBus would at least email or text customers with information when bus is late or cancelled! Bad customer service !!!!

After that I want wanted to pay for another trip I made a mistake on the time for $42. They still don’t want to give me back my money. FlixBus just lost a customer.

This was my first time and I will never use again, the customer service is horrible, and when you ask to speak with a supervisor they tell you to call back, if you ask to speak with anyone they tell you to call back. My trip was cancelled and they didn’t notify me, so my daughter and I was stranded downtown late at night, and the customer service reps was very rude.

The FlixBus app is missing the “report” part (for when you want to report a dangerous driver, for example) it is not clear about picking up points (should have good maps to show them), and it doesn’t load very well so words are usually incomplete.

I bought a trip with wrong date and time (#1061102155) and I cancelled right after I bought it. I have a screenshot showing my name scratched with nothing else but the buttom "undo change". I understand that I canceled, but now I got an e-mail saying that I didn't and they charged me for the whole amount ($34.95) for a service that I did not use. I think this is unfair. I hope you guys can understand that I tried to do the right procedure and It's not fair to stay with all my money. Thanks

Bought a ticket and waited for the bus where the point of arrival appeared but the bus came to the other side of the parking lot and left before I got there. Don’t use this app if you don’t want to get ripped off! Horrible, please be more accurate with the locations of your stops and develop a better app.

First time rider, I have an appointment in Houston, after 2:30p, wanted to catch a bus from Dallas to Houston within a reasonable time. So I booked like a 9 something in the morning trip, this was done a week in advance. So they hit two days later talking about cancellation due to operational issues and hit me with a much earlier time. A 7:30a departure... I took it, although it would interfere with my overnight work schedule cause I work overnight, I ended up clocking out early, made it home, fathered my belongings, then I tap the icon to see where my bus is, there’s a 2 hour delay now... bus supposedly won’t depart from Dallas until 9:40a and I’m so over it. I rather deal with mega bus if this is what I have to expect.

The instructions led to me to the wrong area and I ended up missing my bus. This would’ve been okay if the bus gps actually worked but it doesn’t. Customer service also refuses to give a refund due to policy, however the main issue is the instructions and gps simply are bad.

They have no number posted so if you need to call prepare to search online for about an hour. Second I left myocardial house an hour before the time I was supposed to depart and it was mad traffic to the point I’m still in traffic in the same spot as I was in about an hour ago when I did manage to get in touch with someone. Thinking they would atleast TRY AND HELP meaning I paid for my trip in advance and I contacted them . Of course they could care less bc wait I’m not Russian? You all are a SCAM!

Love the app. Super helpful and easy to use. If I could suggest one thing it would be to have total round trip price for all the cities in the search section. I am a exchange student and don’t necessary know how far each city is. Having the price next to the city would attract me to explore that city if it was a reasonable price even though it wasn’t my top choice. I am trying to book tickets for a day trip or weekend and I have to click on every city to get a price. Having this information would save me a lot of time and lead me to buy more tickets.

The bus was not on time for boarding. It arrived at 10:08 when we leave for 10:15am. The bus was not FlixBus branded. Instead, we rode a white Wynne bus. There were no clearly numbered seats. We got a new bus driver 45 minutes into driving at a stop. The movie was playing so loud after asking multiple times to turn the volume down. The heater did not work. It was 60 degrees outside. The air was trying to be adjusted while driving on the highway. Cold air started blowing out instead of warm. The environment is loud with the movie and the people shouting because the bus driver can not hear and the people are talking loudly amongst each other. It was not specified how many stops there would be on the way, including a gas station stop. The bus driver did not give anyone a time limit so some people took their sweet time. There was no organized way of knowing if everyone was back on the bus (no check in or role call). The bus arrived 3 hours late from the scheduled time!!!! Never again. Do not believe the scheduled time. In addition, the driver was not prepared. He asked a customer sitting behind him to download the flixbus app. It could not even download because he did not know his Apple ID. The entire front of the bus was talking loudly back and forth with the bus driver explaining how to use his phone and download an application. He could not even download the app to log in and find his alternative route. Also, WiFi does not even work on the bus as advertised. None of the customers on the bus could use the WiFi on the 8 hour drive that was supposed to be 5 hours.

Flix bus is the worst bus service i ever saw. Intially it would be fine. But few times later, driver comes very late. Bus is not on time. No bus stop. Should wait for a bus on road side very long time. Always comes ip with a reason as traffic . I wouldn’t recommend this service at all .

I’ve been unable to purchase tickets for weeks due to failure of payment. I’ve contacted customer service multiple times and they don’t seem to care. They’ve placed blame on everyone but them. I’ve called my bank and they say no payment attempt has even come through. There is an issue on their end and they are unwilling to help.

When it works, it’s great! I’ve had several smooth trips from LA to San Diego. But I’ve also had a trip from San Diego to LA where it got delayed by an hour, then two, then after calling customer service and having them tell us that the bus is right there (no, I am right here, the bus most certainly is not here), they said oh actually we’ve canceled the trip. I managed to get a refund but sneakily, they didn’t refund the service fee. We found out through a worker at Amtrak Santa Fe Depot that they hadn’t seen a FlixBus in weeks, and that FlixBus just cancels trips (after multiple “delays”) if a bus doesn’t have enough riders. (There were about 7 of us waiting and helping each other get information.) I won’t be booking that segment ever again, but will do LA to San Diego, as that has been reliable so far. Moral of the story: it really depends on your route, and assume customer service is on par with the cheap fare you’re paying. (Customer service = keeping customers informed with correct info, as the bus drivers have been great.)

The bus I took was from Baltimore Maryland. Baltimore Maryland is full of abandoned buildings, truck warehouses, large factories, wide roads and large gas stations so bus companies have signs as to where their pick up/ and drop off area will be. This also applies to the public city buses who obviously do the same thing. Felix bus is clearly not one of those buses companies. Their pick up/ drop off is unofficially in front of another unrelated company’s metal fence with no signs or ppl standing in-front of it to let anyone know it is a bus stop. By the address alone is not enough to find the bus pick up because it isn’t there official bus stop. They just pull up where they want and pick passengers up. It’s also no surprise to me that this company use to be the notoriously late awful double happiness bus company. What these illegitimate Chinese run bus companies do is collect their money and change their names frequently. They have zero customer service experience nor do they care to. All they care about is collecting money and moving on. When I missed the bus because I couldn’t find the bus stop I called their “customer service” number which was NOT on the website! It was extremely hard to find and i had to type in different questions in google to finally find a Facebook account by them. Through messenger I received a number which seemed very sketchy since this number wasn’t available to the public. Customer service is clearly outsourced to untrained immigrants in Europe. The woman I was speaking to was the rudest customer service agent I’ve ever spoken to. There was so much noise in the background of ppl talking and eating food and it couldn’t have been a professional work space. She would laugh whenever I’d make valid points at the inconsistencies of the company. One thing I noticed is their views on refunds is set in stone and regardless of a customers situation or the lack of service on their part they will not refund your money. The woman told me to buy another ticket even when I explained to her how her company has an unofficial bus stop that isn't noticeable in that area. She was like a broken robotic record the way she didn’t waver at the facts. I suggested she call the next bus scheduled and inform the bus driver to let me on due to my situation and she pretended as if her hands were tied. It seems I was the only one coming up with different solutions only for her to shoot them down but have no reason as to why. She was uncooperative and had no intentions of working with me or resolving the issue. Overall this bus company is trash, their customer service is outsourced to inexperienced and disrespectful foreigners and their website is poorly designed and offers no customer service number for emergencies. WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN!

Can’t get them to remove or reimburse the fraudulent activity and I’ve made several calls & emails to them and they promise to call back and respond and never do. Finally had to get a new credit card because fraud continued several times a month. Do not trust them!!! This is a great app to save more for traveling. However my bus a few mins late which is no problem. I suggest that they send us a notification stating the bus will be behind time . I was one who’d always prefer grey hound over any bus but this is way better . Seating is lovely , air conditioning,& working chargers. The bus driver was pleasant and got us there safe.i travel from Baton Rouge to New Orleans .

FlixBus from Oakland To Sac 95% of the time. 45 mins late usually. The App to track never is updated. The app will read oops no signal check back with them. Because it’s the cheapest way to travel from Oakland to Sac I use. But if you are business always go with Amtrak. Amtrak has only failed me once. FlixBus will have you waiting and you will loose time & money. FlixBus needs App improvement to track the busses location With time. You get what you pay for with FlixBus.

Short Version: On the way, the bus driver left us stranded in the middle of nowhere, at night without our luggage, for being less than a minute late back to our bus. He then tried to yell at us because he had to come back and get us. Today, flixbus left at 2:22 when the scheduled time was 2:20. 8 of us were left behind. Flixbus customer service refused a refund and told me to buy a ticket for the next bus, at 4:30. I am currently on the Megabus on the way back to LA at because the driver of this bus was nice enough to let all 8 of us on after hearing the situation. I gave him a $20 tip. Long Version: Let me start by saying it takes a lot for me to be upset with customer service. But man... I can honestly say flixbus is THE WORST organization that has ever robbed me of my money. On a 9 hour trip to San Francisco with my girlfriend, the bus stopped half way in the middle of nowhere. We got 15 minutes to eat and get some fresh air, and we were told to come back at 2:25 am. I, being on crutches right now, would just have to get my food and bring it back with me. We came back at 2:25, possibly 26, and the bus was already on its way out. It left me and my girlfriend behind in the middle of the night, without our luggage, in a city with a population of probably 50. After 15 minutes or so, we saw the bus coming back to get us. A blessing. Apparently the person sitting next to us had to convince the driver to turn around and get us, according to him. The driver yelled at us for not being there at 2:25 on the dot. Anyways, today, I was supposed to ride Flix bus back. This was our fault, but we got lost on the way to the bus stop. So instead of getting there on time, we were almost 5 minutes late. The flix bus left exactly 1 minute after its scheduled time, which means they gave 60 seconds of leeway for a $45 bus ticket. Me, along with 7 other people, were stranded at the bus stop for being more than 60 seconds late. They will not give me a refund over the phone nor can I find a place to request one online. This is the most frustrating travel experience I have ever had but thank God I have an amazing girlfriend to make up for it. I’m currently on the Megabus because the driver felt bad for the 8 of us and said he would let us buy a last minute ticket and take us back to LA. I tipped him $20 and I hope everyone else did too. Anyone who is considering Flixbus, save yourself and take Megabus. Or walk.

The App is only good for booking nothing else. There’s no way of tracing a trip, tracing a lost baggage, or the facility to change your destination. The app does not support tracing of lost luggage or live chat. There’s no way of contacting driver in case of leaving bag on board. No details of anything to do with Flixbus, can’t do last minute cancelation, screen freezing strangely enough. App does not support refund of payment into your account nor give you a voucher for a cancelled trip. Everything has to be logged in via internet filling in a form which you may or may not be lucky to get an answer from Flixbus. Customer Service is terrible and extremely rude and unhelpful. The organization is totally shambles. This app is only good to buy your ticket and nothing else.

I have taken this bus twice now and it’s total garbage. I’m typing this after having our driver declare he was “done for the day” 30 minutes into the ride. We have now been sitting in a random Macdonald’s parking lot waiting for a driver to show for the last 40 minutes. The app says that rides are “nonstop” when you book but when you actually take the ride multiple stops are added and you will never get to your destination on time. All my friends using this service have had similar issues and even accidents with this bus. Get your act together FlixBus or delete your platform.

And then tells me there’s no buses available, every day that checked the same thing. but it doesn’t tell me what days I could get a ride from San Diego to Salt Lake. I would leave zero stars if I could. I was excited to try it out as it was fairly cheap to go to Las Vegas. I was even happy that it allowed you to reserve seats for an extra fee. I was nervous about our group having to separate on the bus so being able to do that seemed great. The bus arrived early and I thought everything would be ok. As soon as we boarded we saw that there was no numbers on the seats and the bus had already made a few stops before us so we were stuck with trying to get seats together. We had reserved seats at the front and we ended up in the back near the bathroom which we wanted to avoid. On the our trip back to LA, the bus was late. We received one notification that it would arrive at 8:50pm instead of 7:55 like it was supposed to but it did not arrive until past 9:30pm. It was not even a FlixBus it was a charter bus which had no WiFi, no outlets, and like the first ride, no numbered seating. So once again we had to scramble to get seats together. I have since sent several emails and even contacted them on their twitter accounts to get my money back for the seat reservations and I have been ignored. I would advise everyone to go with a more reputable bus company that you can trust. FlixBus will take your money and they don’t care if you even make it back in time as by the time we got to the station the regular buses and trains had already stopped running.

Okay so this bus is cheap so I get why it’s not the best but let me tell you arriving THREE HOURS LATE is not worth the twenty bucks. The worst part is while we we’re waiting we called their customer service MULTIPLE (like 8) times and we kept getting the same it’s going to be there in five to ten minutes just sit tight. However it was NOT there in five to ten minutes, even after the last phone call it took thirty minutes to arrive. Because of their convincing promises we didn’t get on the train we had as a backup and because the drivers didn’t even TRY to make up the time as we went we missed our flight and somehow added even more late time when we were on the bus, arriving three plus hours after we were supposed to in Vienna. Furthermore, customer service was completely rude and unhelpful just like the drivers, the website doesn’t work neither does the app and we will receive absolutely no compensation after missing our flight, not staying in the hotel we ordered because we had to take an overnight train to Italy. All of that cost money and considering how big a company this is you’d think they had enough money to give some back. Shame on them don’t recommend even for the cheap prices.

The overall ride has been a breeze. The seats are comfortable. Reason for me giving it 4 and not 5 stars is because it is somewhat unorganized. The bus arrived 20 min late, it would be nice to get notifications letting us know this, especially for those new to this and the pick up location is not specified. Also, I paid the extra amount (Not much) to choose a seat. I chose a window seat because that’s what I enjoy. I tell the bus driver my seat number, and he tells me, “You can just sit next to her”, pointing at the person that had taken my assigned seat. I chose not to say anything because I try to avoid confrontation so I thought It would have been nice for the driver to tell the person that it’s time to give up the seat for those that paid for assigned seating. Also, the bus is not too clean, the floors have a lot of dust and hair pilled up under the seats. Will I ride again with FlixBus? Of course. It’s affordable and it gets you to your destination. Just don’t pay the extra for assigned seating unless you want an awkward ride if you chose to say something. :)

Expect some chaos. Time changes are announced by email but not easily found on app. Seat reservations were completely ignored both ways. There are no corresponding seat numbers anyway. Driver says it’s open seating so sit anywhere. So forget about paying extra for any certainty. You won’t get it. On the other hand there’s no cheaper way to avoid the nightmare drive between Houston and New Orleans. The Megabus alternative is much more expensive and not as nice a bus, but if you pay for a seat, you will get it with them.

My husband and I went on a trip to Vegas this past weekend, we checked out of our hotel and went to the spot where the bus had dropped us originally. The bus driver showed up was checking people in when we tried telling him he was our bus he said we weren’t on his list . He didn’t allow us to get on and told us that our bus would be there at 8:15. We’ll turns out that was our bus but we were at the incorrect pick up location. The driver could’ve simply told us to go to the next location , but instead left us. We contacted customer service where we were helped by the worst CSR ever. No manners, no respect. She told us that there was no way she could give us a refund or help with some time of discount even though she forced us to buy new tickets. The new tickets happened to be 12 hours from the time we were originally supposed to leave. We were stranded with no where to go, charged and extra 60$ all to come back. I will never use your service again and I have put in a complaint with the better business bureau .

Almost missed my bus took a lift to pick up location first time taking bus back home at night couldn’t remember location in dark so dropped me off at what a burger because said we had arrived at S Rural got on to app and walking direction kicked on and wasn’t at pick up had 2 minutes till leaving so had to literally run 3 blocks waving my hands to catch drives attention so they didn’t leave with out me driver nicely waited for me. Have to say this bus is amazing price is more then affordable for my work trips and such an easy rout if they get this problem fixed it will be 100% perfect nothing bad to say about this Business at all drivers are so friendly and go above and beyond maybe having an actual address if people are new to this rout would be helpful for future references. I don’t understand why this has such a bad rating. I did a roundrip from LA to SF for just $20. Of course this is not as flying in business in a plane. It’s a bus, so it’s not as chill as a plane, it’s a longer trip than in a plane, and more uncomforrable but dude, I can’t understand why people is complaining. If you don’t like it, just pay 6 times more and take a plane. But don’t complain if you were not comfortable as a king in your trip, because you paid such a low price. I really recommend it. I don’t recommend to get reserved seats, it’s a cheap service, so when someone gets off the bus try to move to another seat if you’re not comfortable. The only bad thing is that on both trips sometimes I got a bad smell, maybe from someone who farted hard or maybe because other reasons. But I’ll use it again, no doubt!

Driver using instruction which you not confirm during and even was not informed after for example at sections important information / luggage even at ticket have not inform you. After all you an idiot you not customer. You supposed to learn all site to be sure you match as normal pax if not found at site you must call them!!! Hey you I build and work a lot at travel industry and have lot connections and partners whole over the world. You did illegal thing and acting that not your responsibility inform critical cases and make sure customer get it! Call Centre weird! Agent lie me informing that payment for the seat already posted and refunded ( to be sure check triple- nothing). I will post case I have and will try to reach founders to inform about it. PS agent was look shady answering that they didn’t provide that info and I must use site that didn’t work properly with my browser at iPhone... We purchased tickets but ended up not receiving the tickets due to our inbox being full. We called to ask our tickets be resent, but the representative said they were unable to resend tickets, and we could request a refund instead. So we submitted the refund request and proceeded to purchase a second set of tickets (because we still needed to make the trip). A week later, we receive notice that the company cannot issue a refund because our inbox being full was not their problem. So essentially, they could neither issue a refund nor resend our tickets? What kind of company fails to keep a log of tickets issued? Imagine your airline or train telling you, “Didn’t get your tickets? Not our problem! We can’t resend your tickets OR give you a refund, sorry!” What a disgrace to customer service. If you need to purchase tickets, get them from another company—one that can resend your tickets if you lost or didn’t get them for whatever reason!!

It’s my first time using this app and I already got my trip messed up because of the horrible idiotic service this “bus” offers. A cab has better service than this app. I came ready to go home and I barely found out by OTHER people that my trip got cancelled literally 20 minutes after the bus was supposed to come. They don’t send you a email or any notification letting you know the bus isn’t coming at all. They just assume you read minds and leave you standing outside. Not only that, if you even get lucky that your bus doesn’t cancel on you the seating is probably worse than a broken chair. It feels like your sitting on steel. It gets even better too, if your bus cancels on you, you get no refund you can only catch the next bus which was out of my inconvenience . Good luck with calling them too because all they can offer is a apology. I suggest saving time and not even bother looking at the app longer than a second. I’d rather walk than use this trash.

I found FlixBus through Omio, and after an awesome trip from Brussels to Bruges, I’ve now booked several trips through this app directly. It’s visually appealing, allows for quick searching, and is quite intuitive—especially for a transportation app. I appreciate being able to use Apple Pay and add tickets to Apple Wallet. I just hope to see a few things in the future. In particular, more details on the layovers/changes, and visual confirmation of the trip dates/times as you’re checking out. Also, as a new user, I paid extra service fees because I didn’t realize you could add multiple trips before checking out (so I did three separate bookings). That could be a bit more intuitive, but I’m glad to know it’s possible now. Overall it’s a really great app! 👏

The absolute worst bus experience I’ve ever had. There is no label or specific location in regards to their stops and they don’t have a clue about the whereabouts of thier buses. I waited at the bus stop 30 min prior to arrival to make sure and didn’t miss the bus. The thirty minutes passed and I figured it was just a bit delayed and well after 20 minutes it’s was too much so I looked for a costumer service number on the website and app and it was no where to be found! I had to google search for the number. Then I was on hold for 40 min! When they picked up they didn’t know where the bus was and asked me to call back? Knowing darn well I had waited 40 min just to get that response. After bothering them I finally got a bus but it wasn’t but 2 hours late by the time it came by! They will not notify you if a bus is cancelled or simply not coming. I was almost left stranded. Mega bus will save you this hassle please don’t use their services, you don’t want the be in that position I promise.

We waited in the cold (with a kid) for our 7:15am montclair-los angeles schedule not knowing their bus was delayed til 10am. I didnt know about the delay until I called their customer service, no notification through app or email. i asked to cancel all our trips because they ruined our schedule and asked for the refund, they promised me full refund because of the inconvenience and since it’s the first time, but when i emailed their financial services they would give me what they promised. This is cheap, but this is such an unreliable and heartless company. They wouldnt even understand yoursituation and what happened and insisit on giving you a voucher even if you couldnt use it on where you live. I know it's a little late, but I thought I would share my story. My wife and 2 kids live in Berlin, and I was on an important business trip in Amsterdam. Being the clutz I am, I missed my flight... I was literally facetiming my kids and telling them about how I was going to miss Christmas when the friendliest stranger in the world told me about Flixbus. I downloaded the app, and WITHIN an hour, I was on my way home. On top of that, it was actually a nice bus! I've been on other buses before, but at this hour, for this price, I expected outlets that didn't work and lights that flickered. The bus seemed brand new and even had working wifi!!! Short story : I wait at the bus station 3 hours and the bus NEVER show up. Poor customer service and no solution provided. Long version: I got to the bus station on time and the bus NEVER show up. Called the customer service. - He told me that they didn’t know the delay until we called them. Seriously?! You can not track your bus and you need to rely on the customers to report that! - He told me that they can not locate the GPS of the bus and the reason is UNKNOWN. Seriously?! Your bus just disappeared for no reason. - After 1 hour, we called again. Then they told us the bus has already arrived and left. Are we all blind?! - The most fun part is here. We asked for the solution and the customer service told us to book a bus from the other companies bc they can not arrange another bus to pick us up to the destination. The “smartest” way to help angry customers to solve the problem. Anyway, they did say they will refund and pay for the new tickets with the other company. Let’s see how it goes. In summary, they are still not well organized. What I heard from the bus station staff, their buses are always late. I think you should be able to provide helpful information to the users and also solutions instead of UNKNOWN and sending us to use the other services. Not good to customer and also your own business.

I’m a huge fan of FlixBus. I first used them when I was living in Germany, and I was happy to hear that they are now operating in the US. The buses are clean and comfortable; much more so than other bus lines, in my opinion. The tickets are almost always super cheap, and it doesn’t cost much to upgrade to a nicer seat (worth it if it’s a pretty drive). A lot of the complaints I’ve seen here are about the bus being late, which is a fair point. I don’t think I’ve ever had a FlixBus show up right on time. However, their service is designed for longer trips (e.g. San Diego to LA), where you should be traveling smart and anticipating delays anyway. Overall, I recommend FlixBus every chance I get!

We were trying to get to Austin from Dallas and when the bus arrived it was the San Antonio bus and it was our bus because it will stop at Austin where our stop is then to San Antonio But the bus driver lied to us to wait for next bus and then we had to wait for next bus so we waited 1hr and 30min and the bus never arrived we waited almost 2hrs and we realized that the San Antonio Bus Was Ours Cuz it will stop at Austin like I just said where our stop is and what was also horrible is that bus left at the wrong time and then my mom had to call them to give us our money back and then they gave the money back and then we saw these other 2 people who were also trying to get to Austin from Dallas by FlixBus And They had the same problem like us our bus was there bus too and we missed cuz it departed at the wrong time so we partnered up with those 2 people and took megabus instead.I Will Never Ever Ride FlixBus Again.

I booked two tickets from San Diego to LA and got to the pick up spot early like instructed. A bus showed up 20 minutes late and when the bus got there a rude female employee told everyone that we must have the wrong bus because it was going to Las Vegas. As a result, only a couple people boarded while a large group remained at the stop late at night in the cold. After calling customer service and waiting on hold for 10 minutes they said that that bus was in fact the bus from SD to LA. I asked when the next bus was and they said it was the next day. When I asked about what I could do all they said they could do was give me a voucher. When I asked about receiving a refund the guy said I would have to go online and file a form. The service is EXTREMELY unorganized and there is a lack of communication between drivers and others operating the service. Definitely not worth using.

Very horrible. Worrrssttt ever. If you don’t want your trip ruined by so many reason, don’t ever book a trip in this bus. This is the most worst and horrible bus app ever. You’ll actually get what you pay for. If I could turn back the time, I would just pay the $3-4 extra at megabus. If ever some delays or any kind of problem came up in flix bus, call the customer service and they would probably tell you a lot of lies that the bus is coming in at 10mins. After 2-3hrs of waiting that’s the only time the bus would come, what’s worse is that your bus might not even come. Or not knowingly that your bus have already left you even if you arrive early at the terminal to wait for the bus. They won’t tell you the truth, they would even hang the phone and worst, they wouldn’t answer your call. Take my advice or Good luck on your trip.
Late and unorganized

I booked two rides, one through Italy and another one from Italy to France. The one from Italy was late about 15 mins at start which wasn’t too bad. The one going to Marseille was almost 2 hours late at the destination and I missed my FlixBus connection to Montpellier. They sent me message that I was rescheduled for another bus that leaves 3 hours later. I waited. The bus came 40 mins later than scheduled and then the driver said my ticket was not valid! I showed him SMS I got from FlixBus about being rescheduled but he didn’t really care about it. Eventually me and a few others in similar situation forced him to call the office and they confirmed we can be on the bus. We started 70 mins after scheduled time. Terrible. Otherwise nice that they have wifi so I can write this review! That’s why 2 stars and not one.

Tldr; horrible app, horrible service, extremely late bus, don't ever use Long version: First bus was 3 hours late, had to cancel and get a different bus after 2 hours or waiting. Was not given credit, given a refund, and told to buy a more expensive ticket. Was told I could change my return bus but could not through the app and office was closed at night. Was forced to cancel and get a voucher (not a refund). Tried to book new tickets with the voucher, app malfunctioned and charged me the full price. Tried to get a refund so I could use my voucher but was just given another voucher, leaving me with two vouchers (when I only needed to buy one more ticket). I called customer service to explain the situation and was told they couldn't do anything and referred me to an email address. When I emailed, I only got a stock email reply outlining their general policies.

I was left stranded at the bus pickup at 5AM out in the cold & not one person from Flixbus bothered to pick up the phone to let their customers know that the bus had been cancelled & the next bus would not arrive until 5 hours later. I had to pay an Uber almost $150 to get me to my destination so I wouldn't miss a trip out of town with family. If they would have simply called to say the bus was cancelled I could have made other arrangements. I understand bus malfunctions but the lack of care & service is horrendous. How can you leave your customers stranded out in the cold & not pick up the phone & make an effort to call them so they can make other arrangements??? When I reached out to customer service I received the same horrible service & no help. Was told "sorry, we'll refund the bus fare but not the $2 service fee" What a joke!

What it offers and how it actually works could be two different things. For example it offers the ability to see where your bus actually is but oftentimes you will get the no signal received message. The ETA is probably updated periodically, not in real time as I was still traveling on the bus where the app told me I was already there. If you have a connection you will not get the specific information at which specific stop your next connection is, just a generic information. On the good side it keeps your electronic tickets, which you can transfer to the Apple wallet. You can search for routes and purchase tickets within the app. When it works it shows the bus position on a map.
First time rider

The overall all ride was good and I love the affordable tickets. The bus was clean and comfortable even the restroom didn’t have a smell. The reason for me giving four stars instead of five is because my bus had a three hour layover which I had to wait outside for. There are no signs on the buses to tell you where they are going. Every bus that pulled up, four to be exact, I had to ask if they were going to my destination. I had to walk a block and a half up the street with my luggage just to make it to a store to get snacks and use the restroom. Maybe they should get a little shelter in the lot that at least have seats and a restroom.

I’ve used flexbus 3 time to get around Europe and i must say that all 3 experiences have been, at best, difficult, and at worst, downright unpleasant. All 3 buses ran >25 minutes late, the seats are all too small to be comfortable, and the drivers are all very rude. The worst experience i had was on an overnight bus from Germany to Geneva. I had 2 bags (flexbus only allows 1 but you have the option to pay for an extra one online which i had done) and the driver would not let me put them in the storage space under the bus. I had to wait for him to walk away and open the hatch to put my bags in. This kind of rudeness should not be tolerated in the service industry. Overall i would advise everyone to use any other method to travel, even if you save 100€/$/£ the bus costs more time and effort. A very unhappy customer

I used the app to book travel from Las Vegas to Anaheim. The bus never showed up. A later bus showed up and everyone that was waiting for the late bus was able to get on except us. The driver refused to let us on. It turns out he was supposed to be the driver of the earlier bus, but was rescheduled for some reason. We had to rent a car for $200 to get home. I don’t know if they will refund my my money for wasting my time and not offering a solution to my problem. I tried to call customer service - it’s someone from Europe - she was not helpful and would not allow me to speak to a supervisor. It is the worst experience with travel and customer service I have ever had. If they refund my money I may not give them bad reviews on every social media outlet I can think of.

The buses are usually very late and delayed often I had to wait for 6 hours one time for a bus from Los Angeles to San Jose. They don’t even have the courtesy to inform about these delays. And another time the driver stopped the bus for 20 minutes at rest stop and started the bus around within 18 minutes by which I missed that bus oh btw even that day the bus started late by 1.5 hours. The driver wanted to catch up and started the bus earlier than she said she would. When the customer service is called about this they totally always defend the driver. They won’t even give you the courtesy of the next bus and behave like total imbeciles. They shame you and talk like you owe them. Worst of all these customer service is always busy or no one takes the calls. Shame on FlixBus.

Riding FlixBus is awesome and convenient but the app stated it would arrive at 6:15 am at the bus stop in Sacramento, Ca, USA. It didn’t arrive until 6:30 and we all loaded up by 6:45am then left. The app says we are supposed to arrive in San Francisco, Ca, USA by 8:15 am. We arrived at 9am. I think it’s important for the bus drivers to be on time per schedule because a lot of people have to go to work and such. But passengers, it’s important to calculate your time of when you need to get to your destination. This is my first time using FlixBus. I will use It again and would recommend it. It could have been the driver.

Love the app. Super helpful and easy to use. If I could suggest one thing it would be to have total round trip price for all the cities in the search section. I am a exchange student and don’t necessary know how far each city is. Having the price next to the city would attract me to explore that city if it was a reasonable price even though it wasn’t my top choice. I am trying to book tickets for a day trip or weekend and I have to click on every city to get a price. Having this information would save me a lot of time and lead me to buy more tickets.

These buses in Europe were extremely nice and comfortable! The drivers were very nice and directions to the stops were descriptive. I’m only putting 4 stars because my family and I were waiting for our connecting bus and it was an hour late. It was already delayed by a half hour (which they notified us) but we were worried they weren’t coming after it was an hour after the delayed time. I suggest the company notifying us again if they are still late. But other than that it was smoothe sailing. I also hope you guys have busses throughout Canada and the US.

The App is only good for booking nothing else. There’s no way of tracing a trip, tracing a lost baggage, or the facility to change your destination. The app does not support tracing of lost luggage or live chat. There’s no way of contacting driver in case of leaving bag on board. No details of anything to do with Flixbus, can’t do last minute cancelation, screen freezing strangely enough. App does not support refund of payment into your account nor give you a voucher for a cancelled trip. Everything has to be logged in via internet filling in a form which you may or may not be lucky to get an answer from Flixbus. Customer Service is terrible and extremely rude and unhelpful. The organization is totally shambles. This app is only good to buy your ticket and nothing else.

Highly don’t recommend using these services to book your next trip. Especially of importance. Unorganized and horrible customer service. Doesn’t stick to their schedule and is never on time or just doesn’t show up. Difficult to get a refund and get in touch with customer service. They’re UNRELIABLE. There’s a reason they have a 2.8 rating, you know the rule, if it’s not above a 3.5 it’s not worth being of service anymore. App user interface is poorly unexecuted and a struggle to use with no way to confirm that the bus driver actually stopped by other than the bus drivers word. Skips stops as well. I’d give a zero if I can don’t waste your time or money surprised they’re still in business here. Take it off the app store

1- I used this service several times. But, they have very long delays for 3 last services! So, goodbye Flixbus! Be careful, they sent the driver in advance to avoid further complaints and the bus would come 3 hours late. So, because you have already checked in, you cannot ask for compensation! They know their problems and try to band all rights from customers! I was loosing my plane because of their long delay. Therefore, I decided to take a train and I did not use the service. Later, I sent several emails including the departure and arrival time from this application but they did not care! 2- The prices from web is usually cheaper than this application. So, do not buy tickets from this App.

Not only was my original bus (2pm Palm Springs to Los Angeles 3:35). This large, multi bus, multi country firm doesn’t even have a back up plan for when buses break down! This the absolute worst experience I have ever had. I had to wait 7 hours for the next bus to arrive?? Who plans this? Who is in charge of this two bit operation. Then, when I called customer set ice, I was on hold for 27 minutes before some no answer operator answers. This is also the loudest bus I’ve sat on. Worse than a city bus. The driver has no control of where people are sitting, the noise level or the cleanliness of this machine. I’m Very unsure this bus line will last long here with such terrible customer service! I want my full refund. You should be very very ashamed.

I used flixbus many times to travel around Europe. It was great--and the only reason I'm giving this company 2 stars. HOWEVER, Flixbus in the US is a different story. The prices are cheap, but the reliability of the departure times is terrible. Don't book a flixbus if you need to leave/get to somewhere at a certain time. It will 100% change multiple times before your trip. I tried taking flixbus 2 different times (Sacramento, CA to San Fran & San Diego to Las Vegas) and ended up having to scramble last minute for both trips because flixbus changed my trip so drastically, it was unfeasible to take their bus anymore. Very unhappy with this company and I'll be damned if I'll be f'd over a 3rd time by them.

Their app seems antiquated and not user friendly. Also, the stop locations indicated on their app are not always where the bus stops. Very confusing and frustrating as I have missed a bus because it was at a different location that I was not aware of. Other than that, I have had great experiences on my trips from AZ to CA. I travel this route every 2 weeks to be with my boyfriend, it is the half way point between where we each live. The bus drivers are always nice, the buses are clean and it is an inexpensive and convenient way to travel.

I’ve been taking this bus for a year to go see my gf and at first it was constantly late and not that much better than a greyhound, but lately they get to the stop at the right time ready to go and the bus drivers are efficient. Not the most friendly but I don’t expect them to get paid enough to care too much ahah. Definitely know where the stop is and if it’s your first time using the bus get there early. Overall for the price it’s awesome and I’ve been able to see my gf often thanks to them.

Oh my goodness. This bus is always, and I mean ALWAYS, late! I’m not sure if it’s the driver or if it’s the bus, but I took this bus 3 times and it has never been on time from pickup, or to destination. The app insists that you can track the bus, but it never works. I waited for the bus for TWO HOURS one time and it was raining and windy. Another time, we didn’t arrive to our destination until an hour after the expected arrival time listed. The third time, the bus was just delayed for an hour. I honestly don’t know how I always get so lucky for it to be delayed and for it to not arrive on time. Despite there not being any traffic, the bus still manages to arrive to the destination late. Similar to other reviews, I need to find a better bus.

I’ve ridden flixbus a couple of times, love the service, but the app could be more user friendly. I have yet to understand where all of my bus stop options are, because as it stands now, you have to scroll through what seems like hundreds of options, most of them in other countries. Why can’t we just limit the search to the country that we’re currently in? Maybe I’m just not looking in the right place, but it would be nice to see all of the places flixbus services.

Our driver Joey is very upbeat, informative and pleasant. We had a slight delay getting a handicapped person onto the bus. What impressed me the most was his professionalism during this little delay. Not once did he get irritated and because of that I believe the passengers remained calm as well. We are going to use Flix Bus more frequently, no stress, just an enjoyable ride! On a side note, I hope Flix Bus adds another bus because more and more people are realizing what a great value it is! Thanks!!!!!!

The Flixbus bus app does not currently have a log in, which is not ideal when traveling. I accidentally booked a trip for the wrong day, and Flixbus does not allow you to simply rebook. I called customer service and was told to cancel the booking (for a fee per ticket) and rebook the right trip. I did this, and only after did I learn a voucher is issued for cancellations INSTEAD of a return. Now I have a voucher I am unable to use, as I don't live in Europe, because I was given poor info by customer service. Additionally, the first bus I took had a restroom with no supplies and the second bus had a leak which spilled over the left side of the bus. There are other buses in Europe, use those instead of Flixbus.

First time rider, I have an appointment in Houston, after 2:30p, wanted to catch a bus from Dallas to Houston within a reasonable time. So I booked like a 9 something in the morning trip, this was done a week in advance. So they hit two days later talking about cancellation due to operational issues and hit me with a much earlier time. A 7:30a departure... I took it, although it would interfere with my overnight work schedule cause I work overnight, I ended up clocking out early, made it home, fathered my belongings, then I tap the icon to see where my bus is, there’s a 2 hour delay now... bus supposedly won’t depart from Dallas until 9:40a and I’m so over it. I rather deal with mega bus if this is what I have to expect.

Only ride Flix bus if you love roller coasters, bungee jumping, swimming with sharks,etc. If you love a good thrill and doing activities that get your blood and adrenaline pumping you may consider this the best bus ride you’ve ever been on. My driver decided to fly out of Oakland pass San Francisco like a bat out of hell. The speeding continue until Fresno. On the way I was awoken by the bus driver screaming obscenities because someone was driving on the wrong side of the road. Not more than 10 minutes later and car crashed into something. Do you think he slowed down for a second? Nope he continued to put the pedal to the metal. Now I’m wide awake and praying he slows down.

Flixbus today showed up late to huge crowds of people in Geneva today. It was completely unclear to me and my five guests that the bus was s flixbus because it was green and didn’t say flixbus. There was zero information on the app, including any indication that the bus had arrived. The app could not track the bus. Customer service is nonexistent with this company. The representative was condescending and rude. I was forced to rebook at s much higher expense. Zero courtesy. I had hoped the representative would just rebook us on the next bus as a courtesy considering all of the confusion. I’m terribly disappointed, as were my guests. This is an example of how not to treat customers.

1. The feature ‘See where your bus’ is’ couldn’t locate a signal on both my departure and return trips. 2. Notifications for bus delays due to the 40 minutes it takes to load and secure a passenger in a wheelchair should be sent out right away and posted in your app. I shouldn’t be receiving notifications of those kinds of delays at the very time my bus is scheduled to pick me. You don’t have bus stations and most of your pick-up points are empty lots or curbside on street. Not the most comfortable places to wait for an hour. And the only way to get information is through your app.

I was taking the route from Tucson to Phoenix and I decided to come early since it was in a Denny’s parking lot so I could eat. I wanted to check in early with the driver so that she would know that I was there and that I would be in the bus prior to the departing time, but just wanted to be cautious in case anything happened. I forget her name but she completely understood and was extremely polite. Definitely will be taking these busses from now on

I love the rates. Being left out in the rain while one driver drops the other off is not cool. The bus ended up leaving an hour later because of it. Yes, they knew it was raining before they left us. Also, I forgot my wallet on the bus & it's so hard getting help to locate it. I called them minutes after realizing it was gone to see if they could contact the driver to get before someone else does. They told me they couldn't do that and asked if I knew anybody at the next stop (which was in another state) that I can authorize to get it for me. I think I will NEVER use this bus again. I would rather pay more somewhere else and get better service!

It was my first and for sure last time I used flixbus! What a SCAM. I purchased 3 tickets (from Austria to Venice, from Venice to Austria and from Prague to Austria) one of the rides got 3 hours late:( and two other got cancelled and flixbus rescheduled for the day before I suppose to go. Heyyyy, ppl have some plans, you can't just reschedule the ride for whatever day or time!!! It didn't work for me so I had to cancel it. And guess what, they don't return money! Think about it before you buy tickets. Very unreliable company to ride with. If you have a transit, flight or train DO NOT use flixbus because you will miss it. Better to pay little extra and be safe. Very very disappointed!
