I never write reviews but felt the need to warn others. My bus broke down upon arrival. The driver had no clue when it could be fixed. I called customer service and I explained what happened. The rep I spoke to said I could get refunded if I booked a bus ride with another company. I did go ahead and book and I will update my review if they do refund me. But what a waste of time and money. Stick to megabus or greyhound!

Okay so this bus is cheap so I get why it’s not the best but let me tell you arriving THREE HOURS LATE is not worth the twenty bucks. The worst part is while we we’re waiting we called their customer service MULTIPLE (like 8) times and we kept getting the same it’s going to be there in five to ten minutes just sit tight. However it was NOT there in five to ten minutes, even after the last phone call it took thirty minutes to arrive. Because of their convincing promises we didn’t get on the train we had as a backup and because the drivers didn’t even TRY to make up the time as we went we missed our flight and somehow added even more late time when we were on the bus, arriving three plus hours after we were supposed to in Vienna. Furthermore, customer service was completely rude and unhelpful just like the drivers, the website doesn’t work neither does the app and we will receive absolutely no compensation after missing our flight, not staying in the hotel we ordered because we had to take an overnight train to Italy. All of that cost money and considering how big a company this is you’d think they had enough money to give some back. Shame on them don’t recommend even for the cheap prices.

First of all, they gave me booking # with wrong time, so I had to spend @1 hr arguing with customer support to get it fixed. Secondly, they got my return trip wrong. So I had to call back holding on another half hour to get it fixes Third, the bus was 1 and half hour late and the bus for my return trip was half hour late. Forth, they took 2-3 hour longer than the ETA indicated. Also for my return trip, they were 2 hour late. The ticket was cheap but next time I would rather pay more to get a reliable service. I used so many different bus lines but this one is the worst.

No stars from me. If they didn’t force the star option there wouldn’t be one. Horrible service. Bus drivers always late a hour and two hours late. Charger outlets barely work. Like I miss the bolt bus I rather catch the mega bus at this point. Spend extra money to make it to my stop on time and not 2 hours late. Then I don’t get a refund for the horrible service they provide.

Love the app love the company it’s cheap it’s great however I wish there was an interface where we can see all the specials or if there were any coupons or stuff like that. For example if I’m looking to go anywhere for under $50 round trip what places can I go and what days type of thing.

This company may be cheap but there is a good reason why. On my last trip with them they rebooked my second bus. Instead of sitting at the bus station for 1 hour, like the ticket I originally bought, I had to sit at the bus station for 4.5 hours. Once the bus got there the driver told me the new ticket FlixBus made me switch to doesn’t work and I will have to figure out how to get where I was going. Because of FlixBus messing up their ticketing I had to sit at a bus station for 4.5 hours and then get a €250 cab ride to the airport I was going to.

I book a morning ticket but it inform that it will be late for 70mins after I booked immediately instead of showing the delay time on the official website. And so I wait for 70mins later, flixbus send me a mail said my ticket has been cancelled!! Why not just informed me earlier?????

I used flixbus many times to travel around Europe. It was great--and the only reason I'm giving this company 2 stars. HOWEVER, Flixbus in the US is a different story. The prices are cheap, but the reliability of the departure times is terrible. Don't book a flixbus if you need to leave/get to somewhere at a certain time. It will 100% change multiple times before your trip. I tried taking flixbus 2 different times (Sacramento, CA to San Fran & San Diego to Las Vegas) and ended up having to scramble last minute for both trips because flixbus changed my trip so drastically, it was unfeasible to take their bus anymore. Very unhappy with this company and I'll be damned if I'll be f'd over a 3rd time by them.

What could’ve started as a $6.99 ticket turned out to be $18.98 cents. I accidentally booked the wrong destination and tried to switch it and there was no option on the app. I accidentally canceled on the app and tried to call support there was no support line listed. I had to Google the number where I was told that since I had canceled (the only option in the app) I would be charged a five dollar cancellation fee and had to rebook it.

Not only did you cancel the bus trip. You refused to return my money. In addition I bought another ticket with a different debit card for $10 more. But yet to have received the refund from the first trip that you canceled at the last minute. This is the worst experience the fact that I can’t get my money back at the fact that you are make it so difficult to get the money back. I talk to customer service. My ride to Austin

My trip on June 10th was awesome. The young man driving was so polite and helpful. This trip on June 14 drive was late. He talked with some young female passengers the whole ride loudly and some times used foul words. This ride got us home 1 hour late . It was cheap but not as good.

Told me to look an address up on my own on google, refused to provide an address, told me to look it up, refused the opportunity to speak with a supervisor, told me to call back, asked to wait on hold and finally came back to tell me the call was taking too long, yes i lost my temper, yes i was livid, no i will never consider using this service, for me they were a terrible experience

I paid the extra $4.99 from the prime seating up front since I had surgery on my hip and I wanted whatever extra leg room I could get. This was my experience: - The bus was 25 minutes late -The driver was rude - I was told I couldn’t sit the the front row since the other bus driver was sitting in one of the seats. I explained that I had paid for the seat “Like I said you can sit in any seat after row one” I called customer service while I was on the bus and the representative told me I could write a complaint and submit it in for review. Yes the $20 tickets are nice but you really get what you pay for. Cheap tickets for Cheap Service, Cheap Experience, Cheap Respect, Cheap Courtesy. I personally would not recommend the Flix Bus to anyone, but if you find you have no other option to get to where you need to go. Make sure you go in fully aware that this company does not care about you as a customer and the drivers care even less for you as a passenger.

Wish I had seen the reviews before booking. Drivers are unimaginably rude, buses over an hour late though they supposedly run every hour, no way to contact customer service. In short, a complete catastrophe, STAY AWAY!!! It’s not even like their prices are any lower than competitors

This is a scam. I tried to use service and they changed my reservation, I assume due to lack of passengers. The date and time they arbitrarily changed it was not good for me as I had to catch a flight same day. When I tried to cancel the FlixBus trip and get a refund they do not allow it so they get to keep my money and did not honor my original reservation. These Europeans don’t know how to treat customers, luckily this problem is happening in the USA where I will complain to the FTC and demand a refund from Apple and my bank card. Hopefully the authorities will kick out these scammers out of our country.

The bus arrived 25 minutes late. There are no seat numbers marked. You need to figure out where your seat might be. So my seat was occupied and I l've been reseated. This is very confusing.

Horrible app and even worse customer service. The app didn't use the origin that I chose (Berlin main station) but used Berlin Schönefeld on the ticket instead. I went to the main station (which you would assume is the main train station especially since there is no more information about it) and then found out no buses leave from there. I found out later it's known as ZOP (no address given) but that term is nowhere on the app. Anyway, hurried to Schönefeld, missed the bus anyway, talked to a few rude and incompetent customer dis-service people who refused to refund me. AVOID taking this bus. They are thrives.

I’m a huge fan of FlixBus. I first used them when I was living in Germany, and I was happy to hear that they are now operating in the US. The buses are clean and comfortable; much more so than other bus lines, in my opinion. The tickets are almost always super cheap, and it doesn’t cost much to upgrade to a nicer seat (worth it if it’s a pretty drive). A lot of the complaints I’ve seen here are about the bus being late, which is a fair point. I don’t think I’ve ever had a FlixBus show up right on time. However, their service is designed for longer trips (e.g. San Diego to LA), where you should be traveling smart and anticipating delays anyway. Overall, I recommend FlixBus every chance I get!

I am an older women. I had took the same route last week and was dropped off at the location that was safe for me at night (9:30 pm) This time I was dropped of a different location and I went to a restaurant close by because I was dropped off in a dark place . I will never use this service again. I would think that a driver would dropped me off at the same location like last week. If the driver has no priority for the safety of his passengers the training program needs to be fixed.The safety of its passengers should always come first without the customer there will be no more FlixBus.

FlixBus sends me a notification last minute telling me that I’d be picked up by a bus with a different company name (which was late by the way) and which was much smaller than a regular FlixBus with none of the same amenities. my partner and I were not able to sit in the seats we paid to select for the 5.5 hour drive to another country.

I had booked a ticket then i had to cancel that becuase i was not able to find to bus stop in Austin Downtown since there were no indication of any Flix bus stop when i reached to the location provided. Then i had called the customer care he also could not help me. This was very bad experience with Flix bus. In future i wont think to use the flix bus.

The bus is cheap but if you call customer service they are the worse. No english supervisor ever. The representative are very rude and aren’t able to help. They even told me if I don’t like what they have to say I can open my own business. It’s not worth it. The app doesn’t notify you if the bus is late.

Our driver Joey is very upbeat, informative and pleasant. We had a slight delay getting a handicapped person onto the bus. What impressed me the most was his professionalism during this little delay. Not once did he get irritated and because of that I believe the passengers remained calm as well. We are going to use Flix Bus more frequently, no stress, just an enjoyable ride! On a side note, I hope Flix Bus adds another bus because more and more people are realizing what a great value it is! Thanks!!!!!!

We are stranded at a rest stop half way between Las Vegas and LA and this is the worst experience I have ever had. I’ve never used flix ever!! & I never will ever again. Not worth the stress. Oh and our bus was 2 and a half hours late to begin with. Haha what a joke dude.

I used the app to book travel from Las Vegas to Anaheim. The bus never showed up. A later bus showed up and everyone that was waiting for the late bus was able to get on except us. The driver refused to let us on. It turns out he was supposed to be the driver of the earlier bus, but was rescheduled for some reason. We had to rent a car for $200 to get home. I don’t know if they will refund my my money for wasting my time and not offering a solution to my problem. I tried to call customer service - it’s someone from Europe - she was not helpful and would not allow me to speak to a supervisor. It is the worst experience with travel and customer service I have ever had. If they refund my money I may not give them bad reviews on every social media outlet I can think of.

No one want listen at customer support. Driver using instruction which you not confirm during and even was not informed after for example at sections important information / luggage even at ticket have not inform you. After all you an idiot you not customer. You supposed to learn all site to be sure you match as normal pax if not found at site you must call them!!! Hey you I build and work a lot at travel industry and have lot connections and partners whole over the world. You did illegal thing and acting that not your responsibility inform critical cases and make sure customer get it! Call Centre weird! Agent lie me informing that payment for the seat already posted and refunded ( to be sure check triple- nothing). I will post case I have and will try to reach founders to inform about it. PS agent was look shady answering that they didn’t provide that info and I must use site that didn’t work properly with my browser at iPhone... ( looks like I also MUST find browser which will work with their resource). I’ll keep posted by the way. Regards, Aleksei

Short story : I wait at the bus station 3 hours and the bus NEVER show up. Poor customer service and no solution provided. Long version: I got to the bus station on time and the bus NEVER show up. Called the customer service. - He told me that they didn’t know the delay until we called them. Seriously?! You can not track your bus and you need to rely on the customers to report that! - He told me that they can not locate the GPS of the bus and the reason is UNKNOWN. Seriously?! Your bus just disappeared for no reason. - After 1 hour, we called again. Then they told us the bus has already arrived and left. Are we all blind?! - The most fun part is here. We asked for the solution and the customer service told us to book a bus from the other companies bc they can not arrange another bus to pick us up to the destination. The “smartest” way to help angry customers to solve the problem. Anyway, they did say they will refund and pay for the new tickets with the other company. Let’s see how it goes. In summary, they are still not well organized. What I heard from the bus station staff, their buses are always late. I think you should be able to provide helpful information to the users and also solutions instead of UNKNOWN and sending us to use the other services. Not good to customer and also your own business.

Didn’t have any issue catching this bus from Palm Springs to LA. Arrived 10min early and left right on time. Seats aren’t any less comfortable than an airplane. I think people need to realize the cost of this fare is 1/10th that of an uber. If they want luxury hire a driver, don’t board a bus.

I’ve use this company to weeks ago and it was fine. However today when I booked my tickets through PayPal, they took my money but did not give me a ticket. And what’s even more frustrating, is that you cannot contact anyone to help you I lost 50 bucks. I repeat do not take this bus!

The bus gps signal is also never seen on the map even though it’s designed to do so. This time we had two delays with updates in our phones, and now we’re still waiting for the bus and no updates past the last time we were given. Nobody to call. Nobody is responsible and we can’t leave just in case it decides to show up at a time not given. Terrible. Not convenient.

The app showed there is a stop in Henderson( near Walmart) however I got dropped off at Downtown Las Vegas. I talked to the driver, he told me that there is no stop station in Henderson, so I showed him the app telling me I'll get drop off in Henderson at 12 and he had no idea about it and Henderson wasn't a stop of this bus. :( I hope they'll fix it soon

I’ve been taking this bus for a year to go see my gf and at first it was constantly late and not that much better than a greyhound, but lately they get to the stop at the right time ready to go and the bus drivers are efficient. Not the most friendly but I don’t expect them to get paid enough to care too much ahah. Definitely know where the stop is and if it’s your first time using the bus get there early. Overall for the price it’s awesome and I’ve been able to see my gf often thanks to them.

Notifications for bus delays due to the 40 minutes it takes to load and secure a passenger in a wheelchair should be sent out right away and posted in your app. I shouldn’t be receiving notifications of those kinds of delays at the very time my bus is scheduled to pick me. You don’t have bus stations and most of your pick-up points are empty lots or curbside on street. Not the most comfortable places to wait for an hour. And the only way to get information is through your app.

I have used Flixbus 2 times now. Once traveling from München to Frankfurt and once traveling from Frankfurt to Wien. Both experiences were very good. Bathroom was clean, seats were comfy and bus was quiet and clean. The bus left on schedule and the drivers were friendly. Their refund policy is also very good (you can exchange your ticket for another trip). They have the most affordable prices. I’m glad they are also now in the US!

The bus never comes on time and the flix bus attendant at the stop does not have the update of it. They inform last minute delay for bus and I had a bad experience they had cancelled the bus at the last minute when I was waiting at the bus stop waiting for bus. Never trust them

Only ride Flix bus if you love roller coasters, bungee jumping, swimming with sharks,etc. If you love a good thrill and doing activities that get your blood and adrenaline pumping you may consider this the best bus ride you’ve ever been on. My driver decided to fly out of Oakland pass San Francisco like a bat out of hell. The speeding continue until Fresno. On the way I was awoken by the bus driver screaming obscenities because someone was driving on the wrong side of the road. Not more than 10 minutes later and car crashed into something. Do you think he slowed down for a second? Nope he continued to put the pedal to the metal. Now I’m wide awake and praying he slows down.

If you’re ever taking a route with a transfer. Check to see if the layover/wait between buses could be shortened by booking two separate trips. I had planned a drive from Phoenix to LA, then to San Diego. Originally the only option was a 2 hr 40 min layover in LA. Once I got there, I checked and there was a bus that cut my wait to only 30 minutes. Really dumb how they set it up like that, you should be given options to wait less. Waiting 2 hr 40 min in downtown la with no restaurants around would’ve sucked.

Nobody knows where your bus stops. There’s no clear direction nor signage of where is it at. Your service is clearly disappointing, obviously not customer friendly especially for those first time commuters. We ended up missing the bus and wasted 3 tickets worth $75 plus our time. This happened 1.5 hours ago.

Oh my goodness. This bus is always, and I mean ALWAYS, late! I’m not sure if it’s the driver or if it’s the bus, but I took this bus 3 times and it has never been on time from pickup, or to destination. The app insists that you can track the bus, but it never works. I waited for the bus for TWO HOURS one time and it was raining and windy. Another time, we didn’t arrive to our destination until an hour after the expected arrival time listed. The third time, the bus was just delayed for an hour. I honestly don’t know how I always get so lucky for it to be delayed and for it to not arrive on time. Despite there not being any traffic, the bus still manages to arrive to the destination late. Similar to other reviews, I need to find a better bus.

I book a ticket for round trip And the price for the ticket is $4.99 each so I booked round trip +$2.00 for booking fee so the total amount is $11.98 but instead i pay $11.99 so i said ok only $0.01 thats fine, so I thought it’s already good.Wrong 😡😡😡😡😡 i check for my return ticket i don't have it and before i click my credit card i make it sure that i did right. And from LA to Barstow and back i swear the ticket is only $4.99 each.I call customer service, not helping at all blaming on me he said i don't click the return ticket,he's wrong cuz they will ask u first ur to go and return which is i did and charge me $11.99 i said there system got me and asking a refund and said fill-up the form and send it to them which i did and no respond.Be careful buying ticket now i know why some reviews said and give only 1 star if i could give 0 i will.

Very horrible. Worrrssttt ever. If you don’t want your trip ruined by so many reason, don’t ever book a trip in this bus. This is the most worst and horrible bus app ever. You’ll actually get what you pay for. If I could turn back the time, I would just pay the $3-4 extra at megabus. If ever some delays or any kind of problem came up in flix bus, call the customer service and they would probably tell you a lot of lies that the bus is coming in at 10mins. After 2-3hrs of waiting that’s the only time the bus would come, what’s worse is that your bus might not even come. Or not knowingly that your bus have already left you even if you arrive early at the terminal to wait for the bus. They won’t tell you the truth, they would even hang the phone and worst, they wouldn’t answer your call. Take my advice or Good luck on your trip.

Great app, although it’s a little inconvenient when you are given a seat number like “2C” and the bus is actually a 3rd party line like Amador which numbers seats with integers (I.e. 2C = 7). On the bus I was on the bus driver spent a lot of time and effort translating the seat number for people, if you guys could include a simple mapping for the seats it would prevent a lot of headache when boarding. My ride is ~7h so I figured I’d give it a shot in python: mapr = {‘A’: 3 , ‘B’: 2, ‘C’:1, ‘D’:0} new_seats = [] For seat in flix_seats: #split into row num/letter f_num, f_letr= list(seat) new_seat = 4*int(f_num) - mapr(f_letr) new_seats.append(new_seat) Cheers!

Their app seems antiquated and not user friendly. Also, the stop locations indicated on their app are not always where the bus stops. Very confusing and frustrating as I have missed a bus because it was at a different location that I was not aware of. Other than that, I have had great experiences on my trips from AZ to CA. I travel this route every 2 weeks to be with my boyfriend, it is the half way point between where we each live. The bus drivers are always nice, the buses are clean and it is an inexpensive and convenient way to travel.

I used this a few times going from LA to Phoenix and back a few months ago and it was $15 each way. I'm not sure why the fares have increased so much, now it's $45 each way for the same types of days of the week as I did before. I noticed over the holidays it was crazy high too. I may as well drive for that much money. In my car round trip gas is cheaper than $90, so there's no point for me to use this. If it goes back down I would consider it again.

I get it, the prices of their shuttles are cheap but it’s not worth it since their horrible costumer service and the bus isn’t comfortable at all. I’ve given this company multiple chances but never again. The first time scheduling with this company, I was stranded at a bus stop for 4 hours and it never showed up and I was not given a refund. The second time using this bus, it was a 9 hour shuttle which I couldn’t even sleep on because the seats were so small and close together. On one of the 5 minute stops, a passenger on my bus was allowed off by the bus driver and then the bus driver left him in a not very nice part of town at 3 o’clock in the morning and didn’t have a care in the world. When arriving to my destination, I was given the wrong luggage and I did not realize until the bus pulled away. So, I called their costumer service which told me to drive to the end of the bus’ stops to meet the driver to retrieve my luggage. I drove an hour and a half to only realize that the bus didn’t show up at that stop so I was stuck with no luggage and when contacting customer service again, I was given poor information and then told i wasn’t going to get my luggage for another 2-4 WEEKS. Overall, their unhelpful customer service and uncomfortable seats, the ride really isn’t worth it. I would research taking a nicer and more expensive shuttle than go through the miserable experience of taking the FlixBus ever again.
WATCH OUT with declined card payments

This is how FlixBus works: I added a trip to their shopping cart and they decline my credit card payment saved on file three times. I check with my bank they didn't even try charging it. All information is correct and triple checked, and the bank is ready for transaction. I tried again, nothing. Declined. So I try another card in another bank and the exact same scenario happens: nothing wrong with info, bank doesn't see any attempts to charge the card. So I went back to search and found the cause of the problem --while trying to pay, tickets had magically gone up €10 a piece. I give them the benefit of the doubt and think demand is high or tickets are getting scarce for this trip. Still, trying to cover all possible problems I tried from a different phone. Guess what. The tickets had NOT gone up when I searched there, they were still at the same price I saw initially. I figure out just how rotten they are but have no other companies serving the area I'm trying to visit, so I proceed to pay with the same credit card that was declined three times. It worked no problem. Duh. My advise is to not let them fool you when they decline your payments, they are just forcing you to pay more when it is not necessary. And even better advise is to not get robbed, use RegioJet instead. It is an infinity better, and so far they haven't tried to pull this nonsense on me or my friends.

I would leave zero stars if I could. I was excited to try it out as it was fairly cheap to go to Las Vegas. I was even happy that it allowed you to reserve seats for an extra fee. I was nervous about our group having to separate on the bus so being able to do that seemed great. The bus arrived early and I thought everything would be ok. As soon as we boarded we saw that there was no numbers on the seats and the bus had already made a few stops before us so we were stuck with trying to get seats together. We had reserved seats at the front and we ended up in the back near the bathroom which we wanted to avoid. On the our trip back to LA, the bus was late. We received one notification that it would arrive at 8:50pm instead of 7:55 like it was supposed to but it did not arrive until past 9:30pm. It was not even a FlixBus it was a charter bus which had no WiFi, no outlets, and like the first ride, no numbered seating. So once again we had to scramble to get seats together. I have since sent several emails and even contacted them on their twitter accounts to get my money back for the seat reservations and I have been ignored. I would advise everyone to go with a more reputable bus company that you can trust. FlixBus will take your money and they don’t care if you even make it back in time as by the time we got to the station the regular buses and trains had already stopped running.

The overall ride has been a breeze. The seats are comfortable. Reason for me giving it 4 and not 5 stars is because it is somewhat unorganized. The bus arrived 20 min late, it would be nice to get notifications letting us know this, especially for those new to this and the pick up location is not specified. Also, I paid the extra amount (Not much) to choose a seat. I chose a window seat because that’s what I enjoy. I tell the bus driver my seat number, and he tells me, “You can just sit next to her”, pointing at the person that had taken my assigned seat. I chose not to say anything because I try to avoid confrontation so I thought It would have been nice for the driver to tell the person that it’s time to give up the seat for those that paid for assigned seating. Also, the bus is not too clean, the floors have a lot of dust and hair pilled up under the seats. Will I ride again with FlixBus? Of course. It’s affordable and it gets you to your destination. Just don’t pay the extra for assigned seating unless you want an awkward ride if you chose to say something. :)

Service is absolutely horrible. I would never recommend anyone to ya this service. My husband and I went on a trip to Vegas this past weekend, we checked out of our hotel and went to the spot where the bus had dropped us originally. The bus driver showed up was checking people in when we tried telling him he was our bus he said we weren’t on his list . He didn’t allow us to get on and told us that our bus would be there at 8:15. We’ll turns out that was our bus but we were at the incorrect pick up location. The driver could’ve simply told us to go to the next location , but instead left us. We contacted customer service where we were helped by the worst CSR ever. No manners, no respect. She told us that there was no way she could give us a refund or help with some time of discount even though she forced us to buy new tickets. The new tickets happened to be 12 hours from the time we were originally supposed to leave. We were stranded with no where to go, charged and extra 60$ all to come back. I will never use your service again and I have put in a complaint with the better business bureau .

Almost missed my bus took a lift to pick up location first time taking bus back home at night couldn’t remember location in dark so dropped me off at what a burger because said we had arrived at S Rural got on to app and walking direction kicked on and wasn’t at pick up had 2 minutes till leaving so had to literally run 3 blocks waving my hands to catch drives attention so they didn’t leave with out me driver nicely waited for me. Have to say this bus is amazing price is more then affordable for my work trips and such an easy rout if they get this problem fixed it will be 100% perfect nothing bad to say about this Business at all drivers are so friendly and go above and beyond maybe having an actual address if people are new to this rout would be helpful for future references. I don’t understand why this has such a bad rating. I did a roundrip from LA to SF for just $20. Of course this is not as flying in business in a plane. It’s a bus, so it’s not as chill as a plane, it’s a longer trip than in a plane, and more uncomforrable but dude, I can’t understand why people is complaining. If you don’t like it, just pay 6 times more and take a plane. But don’t complain if you were not comfortable as a king in your trip, because you paid such a low price. I really recommend it. I don’t recommend to get reserved seats, it’s a cheap service, so when someone gets off the bus try to move to another seat if you’re not comfortable. The only bad thing is that on both trips sometimes I got a bad smell, maybe from someone who farted hard or maybe because other reasons. But I’ll use it again, no doubt!

No one want listen at customer support. Driver using instruction which you not confirm during and even was not informed after for example at sections important information / luggage even at ticket have not inform you. After all you an idiot you not customer. You supposed to learn all site to be sure you match as normal pax if not found at site you must call them!!! Hey you I build and work a lot at travel industry and have lot connections and partners whole over the world. You did illegal thing and acting that not your responsibility inform critical cases and make sure customer get it! Call Centre weird! Agent lie me informing that payment for the seat already posted and refunded ( to be sure check triple- nothing). I will post case I have and will try to reach founders to inform about it. PS agent was look shady answering that they didn’t provide that info and I must use site that didn’t work properly with my browser at iPhone... Short story : I wait at the bus station 3 hours and the bus NEVER show up. Poor customer service and no solution provided. Long version: I got to the bus station on time and the bus NEVER show up. Called the customer service. - He told me that they didn’t know the delay until we called them. Seriously?! You can not track your bus and you need to rely on the customers to report that! - He told me that they can not locate the GPS of the bus and the reason is UNKNOWN. Seriously?! Your bus just disappeared for no reason. - After 1 hour, we called again. Then they told us the bus has already arrived and left. Are we all blind?! - The most fun part is here. We asked for the solution and the customer service told us to book a bus from the other companies bc they can not arrange another bus to pick us up to the destination. The “smartest” way to help angry customers to solve the problem. Anyway, they did say they will refund and pay for the new tickets with the other company. Let’s see how it goes. In summary, they are still not well organized. What I heard from the bus station staff, their buses are always late. I think you should be able to provide helpful information to the users and also solutions instead of UNKNOWN and sending us to use the other services. Not good to customer and also your own business.

I know it's a little late, but I thought I would share my story. My wife and 2 kids live in Berlin, and I was on an important business trip in Amsterdam. Being the clutz I am, I missed my flight... I was literally facetiming my kids and telling them about how I was going to miss Christmas when the friendliest stranger in the world told me about Flixbus. I downloaded the app, and WITHIN an hour, I was on my way home. On top of that, it was actually a nice bus! I've been on other buses before, but at this hour, for this price, I expected outlets that didn't work and lights that flickered. The bus seemed brand new and even had working wifi!!! I made it home before my kids even woke up. Just like Santa hehe

I’m a huge fan of FlixBus. I first used them when I was living in Germany, and I was happy to hear that they are now operating in the US. The buses are clean and comfortable; much more so than other bus lines, in my opinion. The tickets are almost always super cheap, and it doesn’t cost much to upgrade to a nicer seat (worth it if it’s a pretty drive). A lot of the complaints I’ve seen here are about the bus being late, which is a fair point. I don’t think I’ve ever had a FlixBus show up right on time. However, their service is designed for longer trips (e.g. San Diego to LA), where you should be traveling smart and anticipating delays anyway. Overall, I recommend FlixBus every chance I get!

I booked two tickets from San Diego to LA and got to the pick up spot early like instructed. A bus showed up 20 minutes late and when the bus got there a rude female employee told everyone that we must have the wrong bus because it was going to Las Vegas. As a result, only a couple people boarded while a large group remained at the stop late at night in the cold. After calling customer service and waiting on hold for 10 minutes they said that that bus was in fact the bus from SD to LA. I asked when the next bus was and they said it was the next day. When I asked about what I could do all they said they could do was give me a voucher. When I asked about receiving a refund the guy said I would have to go online and file a form. The service is EXTREMELY unorganized and there is a lack of communication between drivers and others operating the service. Definitely not worth using.

I booked two rides, one through Italy and another one from Italy to France. The one from Italy was late about 15 mins at start which wasn’t too bad. The one going to Marseille was almost 2 hours late at the destination and I missed my FlixBus connection to Montpellier. They sent me message that I was rescheduled for another bus that leaves 3 hours later. I waited. The bus came 40 mins later than scheduled and then the driver said my ticket was not valid! I showed him SMS I got from FlixBus about being rescheduled but he didn’t really care about it. Eventually me and a few others in similar situation forced him to call the office and they confirmed we can be on the bus. We started 70 mins after scheduled time. Terrible. Otherwise nice that they have wifi so I can write this review! That’s why 2 stars and not one.

Tldr; horrible app, horrible service, extremely late bus, don't ever use Long version: First bus was 3 hours late, had to cancel and get a different bus after 2 hours or waiting. Was not given credit, given a refund, and told to buy a more expensive ticket. Was told I could change my return bus but could not through the app and office was closed at night. Was forced to cancel and get a voucher (not a refund). Tried to book new tickets with the voucher, app malfunctioned and charged me the full price. Tried to get a refund so I could use my voucher but was just given another voucher, leaving me with two vouchers (when I only needed to buy one more ticket). I called customer service to explain the situation and was told they couldn't do anything and referred me to an email address. When I emailed, I only got a stock email reply outlining their general policies.

I was left stranded at the bus pickup at 5AM out in the cold & not one person from Flixbus bothered to pick up the phone to let their customers know that the bus had been cancelled & the next bus would not arrive until 5 hours later. I had to pay an Uber almost $150 to get me to my destination so I wouldn't miss a trip out of town with family. If they would have simply called to say the bus was cancelled I could have made other arrangements. I understand bus malfunctions but the lack of care & service is horrendous. How can you leave your customers stranded out in the cold & not pick up the phone & make an effort to call them so they can make other arrangements??? When I reached out to customer service I received the same horrible service & no help. Was told "sorry, we'll refund the bus fare but not the $2 service fee" What a joke!

What it offers and how it actually works could be two different things. For example it offers the ability to see where your bus actually is but oftentimes you will get the no signal received message. The ETA is probably updated periodically, not in real time as I was still traveling on the bus where the app told me I was already there. If you have a connection you will not get the specific information at which specific stop your next connection is, just a generic information. On the good side it keeps your electronic tickets, which you can transfer to the Apple wallet. You can search for routes and purchase tickets within the app. When it works it shows the bus position on a map.

I’ve used flexbus 3 time to get around Europe and i must say that all 3 experiences have been, at best, difficult, and at worst, downright unpleasant. All 3 buses ran >25 minutes late, the seats are all too small to be comfortable, and the drivers are all very rude. The worst experience i had was on an overnight bus from Germany to Geneva. I had 2 bags (flexbus only allows 1 but you have the option to pay for an extra one online which i had done) and the driver would not let me put them in the storage space under the bus. I had to wait for him to walk away and open the hatch to put my bags in. This kind of rudeness should not be tolerated in the service industry. Overall i would advise everyone to use any other method to travel, even if you save 100€/$/£ the bus costs more time and effort. A very unhappy customer

I used the app to book travel from Las Vegas to Anaheim. The bus never showed up. A later bus showed up and everyone that was waiting for the late bus was able to get on except us. The driver refused to let us on. It turns out he was supposed to be the driver of the earlier bus, but was rescheduled for some reason. We had to rent a car for $200 to get home. I don’t know if they will refund my my money for wasting my time and not offering a solution to my problem. I tried to call customer service - it’s someone from Europe - she was not helpful and would not allow me to speak to a supervisor. It is the worst experience with travel and customer service I have ever had. If they refund my money I may not give them bad reviews on every social media outlet I can think of.

Riding FlixBus is awesome and convenient but the app stated it would arrive at 6:15 am at the bus stop in Sacramento, Ca, USA. It didn’t arrive until 6:30 and we all loaded up by 6:45am then left. The app says we are supposed to arrive in San Francisco, Ca, USA by 8:15 am. We arrived at 9am. I think it’s important for the bus drivers to be on time per schedule because a lot of people have to go to work and such. But passengers, it’s important to calculate your time of when you need to get to your destination. This is my first time using FlixBus. I will use It again and would recommend it. It could have been the driver.

I used flixbus many times to travel around Europe. It was great--and the only reason I'm giving this company 2 stars. HOWEVER, Flixbus in the US is a different story. The prices are cheap, but the reliability of the departure times is terrible. Don't book a flixbus if you need to leave/get to somewhere at a certain time. It will 100% change multiple times before your trip. I tried taking flixbus 2 different times (Sacramento, CA to San Fran & San Diego to Las Vegas) and ended up having to scramble last minute for both trips because flixbus changed my trip so drastically, it was unfeasible to take their bus anymore. Very unhappy with this company and I'll be damned if I'll be f'd over a 3rd time by them.

Their app seems antiquated and not user friendly. Also, the stop locations indicated on their app are not always where the bus stops. Very confusing and frustrating as I have missed a bus because it was at a different location that I was not aware of. Other than that, I have had great experiences on my trips from AZ to CA. I travel this route every 2 weeks to be with my boyfriend, it is the half way point between where we each live. The bus drivers are always nice, the buses are clean and it is an inexpensive and convenient way to travel.

I’ve been taking this bus for a year to go see my gf and at first it was constantly late and not that much better than a greyhound, but lately they get to the stop at the right time ready to go and the bus drivers are efficient. Not the most friendly but I don’t expect them to get paid enough to care too much ahah. Definitely know where the stop is and if it’s your first time using the bus get there early. Overall for the price it’s awesome and I’ve been able to see my gf often thanks to them.

Oh my goodness. This bus is always, and I mean ALWAYS, late! I’m not sure if it’s the driver or if it’s the bus, but I took this bus 3 times and it has never been on time from pickup, or to destination. The app insists that you can track the bus, but it never works. I waited for the bus for TWO HOURS one time and it was raining and windy. Another time, we didn’t arrive to our destination until an hour after the expected arrival time listed. The third time, the bus was just delayed for an hour. I honestly don’t know how I always get so lucky for it to be delayed and for it to not arrive on time. Despite there not being any traffic, the bus still manages to arrive to the destination late. Similar to other reviews, I need to find a better bus.

I’ve ridden flixbus a couple of times, love the service, but the app could be more user friendly. I have yet to understand where all of my bus stop options are, because as it stands now, you have to scroll through what seems like hundreds of options, most of them in other countries. Why can’t we just limit the search to the country that we’re currently in? Maybe I’m just not looking in the right place, but it would be nice to see all of the places flixbus services.

Our driver Joey is very upbeat, informative and pleasant. We had a slight delay getting a handicapped person onto the bus. What impressed me the most was his professionalism during this little delay. Not once did he get irritated and because of that I believe the passengers remained calm as well. We are going to use Flix Bus more frequently, no stress, just an enjoyable ride! On a side note, I hope Flix Bus adds another bus because more and more people are realizing what a great value it is! Thanks!!!!!!

The Flixbus bus app does not currently have a log in, which is not ideal when traveling. I accidentally booked a trip for the wrong day, and Flixbus does not allow you to simply rebook. I called customer service and was told to cancel the booking (for a fee per ticket) and rebook the right trip. I did this, and only after did I learn a voucher is issued for cancellations INSTEAD of a return. Now I have a voucher I am unable to use, as I don't live in Europe, because I was given poor info by customer service. Additionally, the first bus I took had a restroom with no supplies and the second bus had a leak which spilled over the left side of the bus. There are other buses in Europe, use those instead of Flixbus.

Only ride Flix bus if you love roller coasters, bungee jumping, swimming with sharks,etc. If you love a good thrill and doing activities that get your blood and adrenaline pumping you may consider this the best bus ride you’ve ever been on. My driver decided to fly out of Oakland pass San Francisco like a bat out of hell. The speeding continue until Fresno. On the way I was awoken by the bus driver screaming obscenities because someone was driving on the wrong side of the road. Not more than 10 minutes later and car crashed into something. Do you think he slowed down for a second? Nope he continued to put the pedal to the metal. Now I’m wide awake and praying he slows down.

1. The feature ‘See where your bus’ is’ couldn’t locate a signal on both my departure and return trips. 2. Notifications for bus delays due to the 40 minutes it takes to load and secure a passenger in a wheelchair should be sent out right away and posted in your app. I shouldn’t be receiving notifications of those kinds of delays at the very time my bus is scheduled to pick me. You don’t have bus stations and most of your pick-up points are empty lots or curbside on street. Not the most comfortable places to wait for an hour. And the only way to get information is through your app.

I was taking the route from Tucson to Phoenix and I decided to come early since it was in a Denny’s parking lot so I could eat. I wanted to check in early with the driver so that she would know that I was there and that I would be in the bus prior to the departing time, but just wanted to be cautious in case anything happened. I forget her name but she completely understood and was extremely polite. Definitely will be taking these busses from now on

I have used Flixbus 2 times now. Once traveling from München to Frankfurt and once traveling from Frankfurt to Wien. Both experiences were very good. Bathroom was clean, seats were comfy and bus was quiet and clean. The bus left on schedule and the drivers were friendly. Their refund policy is also very good (you can exchange your ticket for another trip). They have the most affordable prices. I’m glad they are also now in the US!

FlixBus is a ok service. The bus is nice and clean but the ride is bumpy. The fact that it is always late and how unprofessional the app is in informing you is very unsatisfactory. For the amount you pay is not worth it for the service they provide. I wouldn’t even give them a star if I had a choice, because they know how bad they are to where all they could do is apologize and if you are trying to get your money back they make it as hard as possible to do so. You have to call them, wait in line, then complain while the low educated operators can say one thing and that’s “ I’m sorry”. Overall it’s a bad service.

All I see are complaints on the reviews and I feel bad because I had such a great experience to and from Vegas. Seat’s are ok. Drivers were on time. Each section has charging stations and you can pull down the shade. Honestly, I rather take FlixBus than have to drive back home or pay $400 RT for a last minute ticket. Also, the drive back to solo to Riverside (hungover) is the WORST!!! I did that twice and NEVER AGAIN!
Confusing Website

I took my first FlixBus ride yesterday and was delighted with the five star service. I have tried to refer others to the website, but it is confusing and dysfunctional. There seems to be no way to call up a complete daily schedule from, say, Los Angeles to Palm Springs. Instead, I am sent to a page with over 100 foreign cities that are irrelevant to my need. The only option is to put in departure and arrival locations, and the message EVERY time is that the next available reservation is on the following day. When I enter that date, I get the same message.

I used FlixBus to get from Rome to Pompeii. They mention there being power outlets but give no guidance to where they are besides “at your seat”. The bus has a toilet but was not stocked with toilet paper or soap. I gave them up to three stars because it was really inexpensive to take them. They don’t have any clear way of rerouting your trip. I was trying to get my route changed from Pompeii to Naples and the app lets you change your name but not any of the destination features. Is this not allowed? Can they make it more obvious?

Horrible app and even worse customer service. The app didn't use the origin that I chose (Berlin main station) but used Berlin Schönefeld on the ticket instead. I went to the main station (which you would assume is the main train station especially since there is no more information about it) and then found out no buses leave from there. I found out later it's known as ZOP (no address given) but that term is nowhere on the app. Anyway, hurried to Schönefeld, missed the bus anyway, talked to a few rude and incompetent customer dis-service people who refused to refund me. AVOID taking this bus. They are thrives.
Good for booking but awful for rebooking

This app is fairly easy to navigate when booking a ticket but awful when it comes to making changes or cancelling. The instruction is to cancel, get a voucher minus the penalty, and then rebook. But then the redeem voucher button does not even work properly. It indicates a green check mark thinking that it would be credited but it wasn’t. Now I have $143 worth of voucher money for future use (valid for a year) but I probably won’t even use it, so it’s all practically gone.

I paid the extra $4.99 from the prime seating up front since I had surgery on my hip and I wanted whatever extra leg room I could get. This was my experience: - The bus was 25 minutes late -The driver was rude - I was told I couldn’t sit the the front row since the other bus driver was sitting in one of the seats. I explained that I had paid for the seat “Like I said you can sit in any seat after row one” I called customer service while I was on the bus and the representative told me I could write a complaint and submit it in for review. Yes the $20 tickets are nice but you really get what you pay for. Cheap tickets for Cheap Service, Cheap Experience, Cheap Respect, Cheap Courtesy. I personally would not recommend the Flix Bus to anyone, but if you find you have no other option to get to where you need to go. Make sure you go in fully aware that this company does not care about you as a customer and the drivers care even less for you as a passenger.

This is a scam. I tried to use service and they changed my reservation, I assume due to lack of passengers. The date and time they arbitrarily changed it was not good for me as I had to catch a flight same day. When I tried to cancel the FlixBus trip and get a refund they do not allow it so they get to keep my money and did not honor my original reservation. These Europeans don’t know how to treat customers, luckily this problem is happening in the USA where I will complain to the FTC and demand a refund from Apple and my bank card. Hopefully the authorities will kick out these scammers out of our country.

Saw an advertisement on Facebook that showed a $9.99 trip from my city to Los Angeles, CA and that they would give me a voucher, so I signed up and downloaded the app. Turns out the voucher is for a “$10 OFF” my first ride only. NOT A $9.99 fare/ticket! So I’m curious to see how much the tickets even cost and try to look up a bus that will take me to LA. THERE ARE NO SCHEDULED BUSES. Ever. Not just for tomorrow, or the next day, and the day after that. But I keep scrolling for weeks and weeks and there are literally NO BUSES that will take me to LA. THIS SERVICE AND APP ARE ABSOLUTE TRASH. At least where I’m at and where I’m trying to get to. What a joke and waste of time. DON’T BOTHER WASTING YOUR TIME.

Horrible service I was told that I could not get a refund for my trip because I did not cancel it within 15 minutes even though I was on hold for over 20 minutes trying to get a hold of somebody on the phone and when I finally did they told me that I could not get a refund because I didn’t do it with in 15 minutes be where this bus is a scam they don’t give a refund for anything and if your late not even a minute they will take your money back and not let you are I wish I could give zero stars but they’re making me give one

On both website and app... try to book a date and you are informed the next available date. Select that date and you’re told the next available date is the following day. Tried to book for following date and I’m told the following date is the next available date (again). Continued this process for several dates... could not book any date. Is it even possible to use this service for Palm Springs calif to Los Angeles California ? It lets you choose those destinations but will not let you book ANY date

You get what you pay for here. For me it works, it got me from point A to point B for the lowest possible price. However the busses were always delayed. I was suppose to arrive at my final destination at 5:20am and I didn’t arrive until 6:44am. I also wish that the drivers would make announcements as to where we are at each stop and how long we’ll be stopping for.

Love the app love the company it’s cheap it’s great however I wish there was an interface where we can see all the specials or if there were any coupons or stuff like that. For example if I’m looking to go anywhere for under $50 round trip what places can I go and what days type of thing.

There is no consistency with this bus service. I’ve been using this service for last minute/flexible trips from Los Angeles to the Bay Area and back. 1 out 6 bus rides are on time and have pleasant/polite drivers. For those who didn’t catch that 5 out 6 bus rides are late and have terribly rude drivers. The price is about the best feature of this service. Nothing comes even remotely close. However, after giving them one more chance to provide me bare minimum promptness and politeness, I will be using more reliable services like Amtrak and greyhound.

Do not use on important trips

This company may be cheap but there is a good reason why. On my last trip with them they rebooked my second bus. Instead of sitting at the bus station for 1 hour, like the ticket I originally bought, I had to sit at the bus station for 4.5 hours. Once the bus got there the driver told me the new ticket FlixBus made me switch to doesn’t work and I will have to figure out how to get where I was going. Because of FlixBus messing up their ticketing I had to sit at a bus station for 4.5 hours and then get a €250 cab ride to the airport I was going to.
