Bought it wont work
by Phillip Lanos on 2021/03/24 22:04
Literally just paid for it and its refusing to allow me to even begin using it. Obviously furious. The help and support section of the app is also trash. I’ll have to have Apple refund me.
Bananas - so close
by AppWatch7 on 2021/03/16 01:21
I have tried to make use of this app a few times. I keep coming back wishing that it would be improved upon. I need to be able to control the order of each topic. I have tried to enter them in order but they re-arrange themselves. Very frustrating! Also, to invest so much time into such a diagram is painful to not be able to print it out in an outline format. Please continue making this very good app better.
Epic!
by ??!??!??!! on 2021/03/08 06:18
Hello! This is my opinion of this! This is epic! I am making a book about souls and this REALLY helps me keep it organized! This is EXACTLY what I need!!!! EPIC! P. S. Pls add more colors like purple:)
Mindmapping🤘🏿🎩
by Lennon English on 2021/02/24 14:31
I dig the app. I feel the emoji selection could be better... And diverse. I've got little white people all over my concern maps for an Afrofuturistic music concept. How am I going to use mind associations to better my brain if none of the Emojis or icons resonate with me? I need Emojis that look like me. ✊🏿🎩. I mean really?
Really nice, wish there were folders
by Marshallk on 2021/02/06 16:43
Love the circles, very pleasing UI. Once I’ve created more than 10 maps it feels like they’re just stuck in a list and I wish I could tag, categorize, or put them in folders
Thanks

Thanks to this app u can easily understand a lot of information because of the easy way that this app is organized
Free version

Only 3?! It should something like 10. It’s not really mind mapping because i cant map most of my thoughts
Exactly what my brain needed
by Mizellous on 2021/01/17 04:18
Great app! Easy to figure out. Good color choices, clean design, quick functioning, only needs a couple tweaks to be perfect! • It would be great to have the ability to change the size of the maps on the main page - larger, for example. • As well as being able to move them around on the main page and have them stay in different locations, the way that sticky notes do. *Would also love to see more color options added, even if it’s just a part of the upgrade. ~ I love that there is no monthly subscription, a one time upgrade is something I am much more likely to purchase in an app.
Simple and effective
by Tom-cat222 on 2021/01/08 22:12
Works the way my mind works. I bought the full version right away.
Great app
by girl34678 on 2021/01/05 23:37
This is literally how my brain works on the inside! This app probably proves efficient depending on how your neurons fire, but for me it’s a game changer!
The last organizational tool
by Shakur Abdullah on 2021/01/03 02:32
Simple, versatile, easily exportable. Love it. The last simple media tool.
Simple, easy to use, and so elegant for organizing ideas, plans, goals, etc.
by Visual Stéphane on 2020/12/27 21:05
This is such an easy and simple app to use and so useful. As a visual person this helps me organize my thoughts and see the “big picture.” It may not be for everybody, but you can try the free version and see for yourself if it will work for you.
Great Tool To Manage Your Next Big Things
by Andrewe313 on 2020/12/22 19:10
I come up with a thousand and one ideas to do something different and better in my day to day challenges at work and now I have a tool that assists in adding depth and greater clarity to my processes. I love it! I would give it 5 stars if I could add Google Drive links but they show up with just the link symbol and no title to distinguish what’s in the link. This could be exceptional if you were able to add Presentations, PDFs, or documents to your bubbles instead of just notes.
SYNC to iCloud - Lose everything glitch.
by Skateboard Ninja on 2020/12/07 14:00
Created this complex mind map, then realized it wasn’t synced to iCloud on my other device. Turned it on and LOST my data. What the heck. Nice and easy design and overall pleasing format. Just lost everything, may go to mind miester.
Delete is broken
by montechie on 2020/12/05 13:53
Can’t long-press and delete maps as the docs claim. So once you hit the 2+included help map your done in the free version. That’s fair if this is actually a trial, but please note that in the app. I just wasted my time trying to figure out how to do something that should be basic. On the plus, the nodes are simple to add and an intriguing way to do mapping. Besides the delete issue (bug?) the rest is easy to use (iPad). It’s not really a normal mind map, but I can see advantages to hiding the detailed nodes under a parent, and you can get to a view that shows all nodes. Has the same weaknesses as all other mind maps for complex topics but you can do some involved mapping.
You have to pay
by Future Author! on 2020/11/29 05:00
The app was absolutely amazing until it banned me from adding more maps until I subscribed for $7, the limit is 3.
LOVE IT
by authorshaunna on 2020/11/25 07:07
I’m an author and have so many ideas floating around my head that it’s often hard to get everything organized. This app has been mind blowing! It’s perfect and hey! I’m organized!!!
So good it leaves me wanting more
by Legirjsjso on 2020/11/21 09:22
This app has really opened my eyes to the effectiveness of mind mapping. I think that more options to link would have been the cherry on top
Helps with ADHD
by justwantratethisapp on 2020/11/12 20:10
This helps with my adhd. I can spin the mind map to randomize the first task I will do first. I can copy and paste links in the comment section. It’s maps out how things are connected and related. it allows me to make dynamic to do lists instead of the usual linear list.
Good but have some defiviency
by zorgoros on 2020/11/11 16:41
Surely this is the best app for mind mapping, but there are some bugs and deficiency in the app which could be solved by the developer, such as the impossibility of make link between two or more parts or impossibility to set picture with text or icon for each tile or impossibility to sketch in the information of every tile or not having the same platform for mac version I hope the developer read my review and make them right because most people want them And by the way what's the difference between the plus version and the normal version?
Didn’t Save When Offloaded
by Cubeey on 2020/11/11 13:34
So, I Iove this app. I really do. But I had some really important documents on this app, I wasn’t able to upgrade at the time so I couldn’t do the whole saving business, and because storage space was running out, I decided to offload it. Months had passed ad I would periodically reload it back to view my work and offload it again to save some space. A couple days ago, I really needed my work. It was vital for an upcoming project that I was working on and I needed to see my work. To my surprise, it didn’t load. I tried every way I could think of, offloading it, uninstalling it, reinstalling it, everything, but when I got to it, it completely disappeared. Thankfully I upgraded to the Mindly Plus and probably won’t have to offload the app again, but it’s really disappointing seeing months of hard work disappear. Would I recommend the app? Yes, but ONLY if you keep it installed and don’t offload it.
Perfect
by BrettReed on 2020/11/05 08:02
This app perfectly explains how my mind works. One rabbit hole after another, of thoughts. This allows me to build my system of thoughts and arrange them in ways to allow for diving in and out of certain areas, but not be stuck in thought for lack of memory of what was being thought of earlier. I’m able to organize easily. I love this app <3
Great app!
by Kather Sei on 2020/10/27 08:05
Really love this app. I have had the free version it for years. Just recently purchased the full version. Money well spent. This by far is the best App for brainstorming, note taking and most importantly for me—breaking down books and organizing key elements from chapters. I use this app daily. For developers: I love the concept of being able to go deeper and deeper or further and further with each branch/thought bubble. However, sometimes I just want to end a bubble when I have nothing more to add. It just gets distracting to still see the circle with the (+) signs still around a particular bubble/note that has concluded. It would be great if the user had more control with the option to also end a particular branch bubble, giving the user the option to eliminate the circle with the (+) around a bubble/note all together when not necessary. And the ability to add it back if/when needed. Not sure if I am clear here or if this is communicated properly but I think this would definitely enhance the user experience (well for me anyway). But overall...AMAZING APP!
Really like it so far!
by nickie123c on 2020/10/19 19:54
This is just the app I need for an unorganized brain like mine, I think it would be a cool feature if you let another user interact with what you’re organizing as well, sometimes two minds on a project are better than one
Lots of Potential
by Storm Castro on 2020/10/12 03:49
This app looks great and is very easy to use. If you could work with multiple people on one map real time that would make this app 10 times better. I am working on one map with a group and we have to work on it one at a time and constantly delete the previous map to keep our progress safe and it is pretty time consuming and at times frustrating. Other than that there are just a few small details that I’m not satisfied with. Other than that this app is great and I am exited to see it grow to its greatest potential!
Missing total number being shown
by wickless with lindsy on 2020/10/03 15:37
After the update the total number of bubbles was taken away. I miss seeing that as I use this as a double checker for numbers in my business.

Some features you might consider adding
by Shamu1331 on 2020/09/17 04:22
I love your app as evidenced by the five star rating. Some features you might consider adding are font control for the bubbles as clicking into the bubble for notes depending on the subject can be tiresome. Adding a singular bubble view for example making it so one can view one part of the mind map eg viewing a bubble and its offspring only not the map as a whole so as to print it. One could then divide the mind map and give each piece to a team to carry out objectives. This would maintain the simplicity you sought when developing the app while also giving flexibility to the end user. Also making purchases so I would not have to buy pro versions of apple and android would be greatly appreciated. You guys rock
Dark more option?
by 317GinaBina on 2020/09/16 16:23
I would give it five stars but it doesn’t have a dark mode option. If it did, then this app would be perfect. I prefer everything black, just like my soul.

Love this map
by Yabenya on 2020/09/06 21:23
It helps me to get my thoughts out. Simple and effective.
I love it but...
by Gian pierotti on 2020/08/26 14:12
I love the user interface! It is so clean. This way of structures going thoughts and ideas just feels right! But, it is difficult to share the functionality and the experience with a boss or a client. The client will have to download the app to view the idea cloud. You can send a pdf but they miss out on the experience of zooming in and out. The miss the exploration. Here comes my wish, “I wish by the Gods of Development and coding, that we could send a client to our website. Embedded there would be the full functioning idea cloud”. Maybe this already exists?
Missing dark mode

I love this App but the blank background while im using during night are so annoying...
When was the last update?
by noeticMuse on 2020/08/09 18:14
I like the concentric circle idea. The link to web page doesn’t seem to work in the free version. Fun to play with though.
iCloud saving issues

Excellent for iPad
by king99monty on 2020/07/16 18:26
This mind map app is excellent for iPad. I thought I could use it on my desktop, but apparently you have to pay extra for the desktop version. Other than that, it is optimal. I would have given ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ except for the desktop issue.
Fantastic app! I love it
by so.many.nicknames.taken on 2020/07/06 18:41
This app makes it so easy to map out my essays and other stuff (yes I know I’m so specific). I do not know what I would do without it! This app is very self explanatory and, quite frankly, fun to use. I love all the different color options. I also like how you can write the main idea of a bubble and go into detail about it underneath. There are endless opportunities on this fantastic app. I really enjoy using it. I would highly recommend it for all students and other people. I do not have the pro version, but I really do not have a need to get it because all it does is provide you with the ability to do more bubbles, but you can make plenty bubbles without it. So, all in all, I think you, reader, should get this app to organize your thoughts, plan out an essay, etc, etc.
Please add dark mode
by Symbolic858 on 2020/07/06 12:51
The app is perfect but needs dark mode since the white background can be blinding at times.
Needs dark mode, some fixes
by phildib on 2020/07/03 12:42
Great app. Needs some help. When backing out of a topic, the placement of the circles does not represent the position they were in when you tapped. Also Needs dark mode. Should have the option to zoom out without tapping.
OK but can be GREAT
by bekqu on 2020/06/26 16:43
I’ve been using mind-maps since 1995! I like your concept but it’s lacking the following: 1. Main topic: ability to insert an image or logo 2. Copying images as you instruct produce the image on a black background. I want control over what background color I want. Transparent backgrounds too. 3. Images are unscalable at all. What’s the use of adding an image if it shows a partial image. 4. Titles are fixed? Why? 5. Export option (as html) would be an added benefit.
LOVE
by G9374jdiaoqodnc on 2020/06/21 00:24
Literally works perfectly with my mind and i’ve never had an app like it. i will be using this for homework, to do lists, future plans, etc.
ADHD Brain
by evaklein39 on 2020/06/11 10:42
For the longest time I had tried to track my train of thought on paper into categories and it was always too difficult. I found this app by accident and tracking the way my ADHD brain works is honestly a relief.
Yes!
by Lmvc01 on 2020/06/08 13:03
I am a business owner, I frequently find myself thinking very hard and writing my ideas down, I have tried pen and paper... notability with my fancy apple pencil gen 2, but eventually I lose myself with so much data. I have finally found my solution! Mindly, has simplified my organization, has made it possible to present the ideas to my staff without getting the confused faces I usually get! It just about perfect! So far my concerns are as follows: Why can I not delete entire bubbles? Why am I not able to write over the images I insert?
Needs more features
by stop reminding me on 2020/05/26 04:20
I love it, it’s great for organizing, but I would like it if it had more features. I could go on about what but it’s not like the developers are gonna listen so why bother?
One of the only apps I paid for
by Tino1107 on 2020/05/23 17:25
This is a great app. I organize my thoughts by main ideas, such as: 1. Current Business 2. Good Habits 3. Exercise 4. Etc.. Having the overall view let’s me see everything and really allows me to see it an a beautiful visual. I would like to have this integrated into Google Calendar. Where certain main ideas could have notification due dates.
Great app! Limited UI
by jakermey on 2020/05/22 18:45
The app is awesome and is exactly the right style/layout for mind mapping. I wish it had Windows 10/MacOS apps as well, and the UI on iPhone could be more flexible/mailable. I’ve found it’s most effective to have 5 or less child items of another for visibility/interaction, but often find I want/need more and then can’t ever see the whole map except print preview. It would also be great to have options for printing, like to span a full diagram across multiple “Letter” sized pieces of paper to assemble a larger format poster, but I can accomplish that with some manipulating of PDF exports in Adobe for now.
Strangely Satisfying
by Michael094 on 2020/05/12 14:21
I’ve not found a perfect mind mapping app (other than note-taking apps), but the way the elements spin is strangely satisfying. Hopefully they are able to expand the views so you can adjust the sizes of the circles and text in individual elements. It would also be nice to be able to make adjustments to the layout of the view of the entire map. Even without those two things I give this 5 stars though. There are some cool things you can do with this that you just can’t do with other mind mapping apps (like spinning to see what element comes up wheel of fortune style when looking for inspiration or a change of focus). It really is a cool app.
Has potential, but needs improvement
by oktechgiant on 2020/05/09 23:44
I won’t say it’s not actual mind mapping, but it lacks a lot of the capabilities that makes the use of mind mapping such an effective tool for processing/clarifying thought. Developers have clearly put a lot of effort into development but it’s worth noting that mind mapping itself is only as effective as the user’s capability to freely/effortlessly bring their thoughts and ideas to life onto the paper in front of them. Therefore rigidity/structure is kryptonite to the flow of free form ideas and creativity. Which is not an issue on pen/paper because you can create, erase, rearrange, restructure, combine etc. as you continually see the process of thought transpire in front of you and gain clarity. But for mind mapping digitally, via an app or software, that poses a greater challenge because it needs to function in the same manner, allowing for endless creativity and obstruction to the flow of thought. Although ill admit mind mapping is not only useful for free flow ideas and conversely can be just as effective with rigidity/structure for organizing tasks, to do lists, schedules, planning, etc. From my experience with using Mindly, it seems to lack the capabilities that allow for free flow of ideas/thoughts but also lacks the functionality to organize and structure thoughts/ideas. It’s almost like a variation of mind mapping that loosely mimics the process itself, but without any of the functionality that makes mind mapping a valuable resource. Ill give the developers credit because the design is incredibly appealing from a visual standpoint, but 30 seconds after that wears off and you begin to use the app, it becomes clear that it’s nowhere near as functionally impressive as it visually. The goood news, with mind mapping have yet to popularize and limited options for applications, Mindly is definitely ahead of the curve and in the opportune position to capitalize by developing this app even further. Hopefully they do ill be interested to see if more features are improved upon in the future. For now ill go back to using mindx
Never knew I needed this!
by steph397534367 on 2020/04/11 13:37
Mindly supports exactly how my mind works! I get easily distracted and excited by ideas and stimuli, and this gives me a logical place to put everything. I’ve always tried to force myself into linear models, which don’t work for my wandering, sometimes circular thinking and excitability. This app has helped me map my career path as I navigate changing careers. I’m very grateful. I like the color scheme and for my purposes, the selection is sufficient because for my current project I’m not using color coding. Echoing what another reviewer said, the one feature that would be helpful is a better way of capturing web links. Web links should be more visually appealing and user friendly. That’s my only constructive comment; otherwise it is wonderful for my purposes.
Do not ridicule God
by Safi Nassar on 2020/04/03 23:16
The quote you used in your websites about God, the creator of the universe is not funny. God is a limit you shouldn’t exceed. Respect yourself and remove the ridiculing joke.
It’s great
by wrench.junkie on 2020/03/30 06:37
I really like using this app for mapping ideas however in the mind map mode if there’s notes on a bubble it should be able to load the note on mind map instead of going to where you edit it but have an option to edit if you want to
Wow!

So organized. So perfect.
Ok
by Mommy2atxprncs on 2020/03/02 22:19
So far so good. It helps keep me organized. Some ideas for future upgrades: 1) make it possible to make flow charts instead of just bubbles. 2) make it possible for all text to show by making a bubble expand with extra text. 3) make it possible to make bubbles checkable for example, allow me to create a mindly of my daily tasks and “check” them off when I do them, they could go black or turn a specific color until the time to reset that the user determines in settings. I’m sure I’ll think of more things. But so far so good.

First Review ever
by andyrewjohnson on 2020/02/06 17:27
Coming across this beautifully simple mind mapping app helps me make sense of my confused software life. I support enterprise software. Simple things such as this Mindly app are the real parts of life you learn to count on, like a journal, or notes, or calendar app. Using Mindly is for me akin to riding a bike and remembering why it’s nice not having to gas up. This app feels like riding a bike, it spins in the app like a bike, and is simple like a bike. It will be nice to have more advanced features in the future such as linking between parts of the mind map. for now, simplicity is this apps true MO.
I enjoy it a lot
by violamusik on 2020/02/06 01:01
Great app that lets you organice properly
love the navigation needs to incorporate urls & pictures
by cnj2 on 2020/02/04 12:34
It has very intuitive and beneficial navigation but needs to support clickable urls. to follow a web link you have to cut it, open the browser and paste it. Id expect node type that takes you to a web page when you select it. An option to use a picture from the camera roll as a background for a node would be nice
Linking elements
by HunterV35 on 2020/02/02 15:51
I absolutely love the app but i wish if you can create a way to link elements together, for example when i write down an element twice in different trees of thought they get linked somehow and if you can solve the resolution problem when i try and send the app somewhere else via whatsapp or email
Ironically
by dllolllb on 2020/02/01 04:29
...i needed something...simpler...than simplemind app. Mindly allows me to quickly get thoughts down without the mess that the other app did. Don’t get me wrong; the other one may be better for big complex stuff, but i needed minimalism and focus...not choices and disorder. I’m stupid, and so need this simplicity......I have one request - a dark mode so that when I think of things at night it will be easier on my eyes.
Pretty good
by Nicodemas's soul on 2020/01/31 11:22

Simple, Clean, and Sophisticated
by Tahantan on 2020/01/26 18:17
Mindly provides a method to power note taking that isn’t overly complicated. It’s not a true mind mapping app but it is a visual note organization tool on the mobile device of your choice.
Great app! But...
by 1232/;()(;?$ on 2020/01/17 03:45
I love this app, it helps me organize my thoughts! One thing I wish you guys would add is more ways to edit our notes in each bubble. I can’t indent, and I can’t add photos in the notes. I also think it would be cool if you guys added a way to draw pictures in the notes. There’s lots you can add to this. It would also be nice if you guys added a wider color pallet.
Very useful easy to use brain storming tool-one thing though
by Tgjazz on 2020/01/08 12:49
I love the app. But I would like to be able to quickly zoom in and out to read the text easier. This would be very helpful. Other than that, great app.
Very Clear and well Designed - Good Potential
by kdaglia on 2020/01/06 21:54
The app has a very clear, clean, minimalist and still useful interface. Impressive color coding system, linkages, not too much animation and to date point. There needs to be one very important and useful feature that needs to be there- Please provide a snapshot / save as image for sub-maps / mini maps > Currently screenshot is only allowed on the entire Mindmap > If Minimaps have 6 or less than branches, Normal screenshot works > But if Mindmap has 7-8 branches, unable to or see / export that minimap in enterity This is very important functionality
Close to being Perfect.
by AstraDragon on 2019/12/22 21:09
I just downloaded and played around with it. I’m starting to really like it so far. As someone who has organization problems and sometimes struggle to see the whole picture when working on projects, this really helps map everything out! I do think the color options are too limited though. For each word or concept I always have a very specific color attached to them. The way those colors makes me feel kind of help guide my thought processes a bit. I don’t know if many people equally feel this way also but that’s one of my quirks. Same thing also goes with the icons and emojis; way too limited. I love the print option. I wonder if I can blow the diagram up so I can print it on a poster and put it over my desk? Would be cool and extra helpful!!!
Very clean u/i and intuitive

Great app, one request:
by gbhatnag on 2019/12/14 17:59
Appreciate simplicity of flowing from one node to another and easily connecting, adding, removing and editing nodes. Fun and fast. One request that would take this to 5 stars: the ability to import links -- web pages, images, videos, etc. Currently I can set the title or description of a node to an http link, but it's not clickable, let alone expanded and previewing the content at the link. This would make finding items out and about in the web so easy to import into Mindly and add to the map of your choosing. Do you have plans to add such a feature?
Nice! Missing a few features, however

This is a great mind app tool! Visually clean and effective, while perfecting the ‘less is more’. Good tools and customization. I appreciate the lack of ads, yet the option to purchase had good incentive and I may do in the future. My biggest complaints is the lack of options to tailor particular maps, and the overall app could benefit with some more options (dark and light theme, for one). I also don’t like how I seem to lac control in how the map appears on the screen, depending on how much or little links. Finally, I would appreciate it taking the term mind map to its full potential. It lacks an option to link similar and recurring themes. Having that option would be a dealbreaker, even if it could be linked to purchasing, is something I’d be willing to do. Overall though, great app! Extremely helpful for my visual and hands on self.

This has functioned flawlessly for me. It is simple and intuitive, which is my preference between this and other mind map apps.. I would love to offer some small enhancement suggestions, the biggest being that I wish I could back up to Google Drive. But it is functional as is.
Unsuable

Already upgraded
by spreckuls on 2019/10/27 18:50
I already upgraded to the premium version and now it’s telling me I have to do it again. Other reviews have complained about this. Seems very scammy. Too bad because it’s a good app otherwise. No way I’m paying for it twice though.

On the right path
by Siobhan Lozada on 2019/10/22 02:19
This app has lots of potential. Great look compared to the rest, but missing basic functionality, including enlarged note pages (they remain minimal, even on a computer version), text editing capability (bold, italic, font options would be nice!) and collage capability to add photos/snippets to the actual note page (images currently attach as a lone circle). Circles can be colored (textures would also be nice) and icons can be added (instead of icons, it would be nice to choose a background image from photos). Then make the whole thing 3D to visually link different themes to other distant circles (avoiding redundancy/replication), and then make it movable with Apple finger commands for efficiency/speed. So close (closer than the rest), yet so far from perfect for note compiling and innovative and artistic thinking. I will do my best to use it until future upgrades have the aforementioned demands~ thanks and you’re welcome!
Great but glitchy
by Usefull Daddy on 2019/10/13 15:53
The app is great, just shy of five stars - it’s got great functionality and really helps with the creative process if utilized properly. I paid for the full version and I’m only slightly disappointed - the app is pretty glitchy, if you have to switch between apps for any reason while you are in the middle of typing something the app often restarts and you lose whatever work you had just inputted. I find that more often than not that when I’m working between multiple apps especially for creative projects and I don’t save before switching apps, my work in this app is lost. There doesn’t seem to be an auto save feature either which would be a huge benefit. Don’t get me wrong, I love the app and it’s got great functionality, but the loss of work and lack of auto save is something that prevents the app from being phenomenal.

Since the iPad got updated I’m unable to see the letters while typing in a document. They will appear once you get off the editing mode. But it’s really hard to keep track of what’s going on with whatever you are writing. Please fix this I payed and has enjoyed using this app for a long time I would not be thrilled to not be able to use any more. Thanks in advance.
Great app to organize my thoughts
by bt72118 on 2019/07/28 12:54
I use this app to reduce the amount clutter my mind carries around. When I daydream how I’d spend the lottery, it goes here. I use this for daydreaming. When I’m searching out a new rod and reel, I can organize here and not carry the details in my head. How will I spend half a billion in lottery winnings, goes right here. My favorite mind mapping app (SimpleMind) is for real life “gotta-do” tasks. Mindly for brainstorming things that live in some possible future, SimpleMind for organizing tasks and obligations that live in this reality. I absolutely love these two apps. I am able to off-load details that would otherwise overload my mind. Apps that truly make you happy are few and far between. Decluttering my mind makes room for happiness.
Few extra cool features needed
by Unit102 on 2019/07/22 09:01
First of all, I love to use Mindly, its fun and easy to use. I just wish now it has some useful functions when mapping ideas. for ex, switching different colors based on a scheduled time frame (lets say after certain days, weeks, or months) I know its falls under different apps but to have this in Mindly will simply solve my current problem because I am doing this manually every once in a while so you can imagine how relieved I could be if this tiny function gets added! thanks

I have a ton of thoughts go through my mind on a daily basis. I can normally see my plans in my minds eye, but it takes up time to go through that process so that I can be more productive. This app allows me to see my thoughts and go to a certain area for that I can focus my attention and have more progress.

Good but not so good
by sjbarai on 2019/06/08 17:26
I do like this app but I think the developers are asking for a lot of money for this not-so-complex app. First of all, they do not come up with new features frequently. The last new-feature update was like 2 years back. I already paid for this app on Android and now they’re asking me to pay on iOS again, which is like 7-8 bucks. They’ve just made this app and left it like this with only new version support updates. This is bad.
Great App, one suggestion
by owlish on 2019/06/01 02:08
I like this app. I will love it when they add a night time display option which has a dark background. Oh, one more itty bitty suggestion. Could the screen be zoomable so we can see the icons easier? Then the app will be perfect.

I just spent a long hour looking at every Mind Mapping app that I could find that matched my criteria: iOS support, macOS support (not web based), freemium, intuitive interface. I’m saving the 5th star until I’ve used it for a bit, but I am already pretty close to spending the $6.99 for the iOS upgrade and the $29.99 for the macOS app.
Organizing my thoughts, ideas and projects
by domlaydomlay on 2019/04/04 12:34
Here is a list of what I use this app for. Product development engineer - Product Design Ideas - Project Management - Daily Task Management Student - Break down needs of papers and projects Graphic Design - Break down logo ideas - Using this along with a random word generator and thesaurus to develop branding names and logos Woodworking - Using this along with a random word generator and thesaurus to get ideas for new and creative furniture and home decor. Renovating my house - Break down all projects around the house needing done down to what I need to complete each project. Wants for the future: 1. The ability to make the bubbles a task that I can simply double tap (or something) to complete it. 2. Compatible with windows. Aside from my iPhone I use all Microsoft products and would love to be able to use this on my desktop so I’m not on my phone all day.

Not really mind-mapping.
by M. Lucero on 2018/05/05 23:11
This app looks beautiful and has a really well-designed interface, but it doesn't really offer what I need. To me, the whole point of mind-mapping is to visualize the links between things and ideas in order to reveal hidden connections. This app does the mapping, but has no way to link objects except to the object they are initially linked to. So, for example, if you wanted to make a map where you have breakfast, lunch, and dinner foods, you could do that just fine. But if you wanted to show that cheeseburgers can be both a lunch and dinner food, the only way to do so is to create "cheeseburger" twice — once under lunch, then again under dinner. The ideal would be to create the object under one of them, then draw a link to the other, so you only have one "cheeseburger", and linked to both lunch and dinner. This way you see the connections between the ideas — again, the whole point of mind-mapping. Creating the object twice (one under each category) is accurate, but not useful, since you'd actually have to explore the entire map in order to make the connection that cheeseburger is under more than one category. Which, again, defeats the whole purpose of mind-mapping.
Great app!
by Kather Sei on 2020/10/27 08:05
Really love this app.
Great app! Limited UI
by jakermey on 2020/05/22 18:45
The app is awesome and is exactly the right style/layout for mind mapping.

It’s easier for me to organize my ideas and work through any decisions I need to make within the narrative. I store my characters and their whole lives in here. It’s so helpful when I go to sit down and actually write it out because I can reference the bones on this app. The bones of my universe and the people in it. I absolutely love how this helps me wrap my head around ideas and projects easier. Bravo!

I'm already hooked
by Stoborobo on 2017/10/06 07:06
I've been on this app for about an hour now and frankly I'm already hooked. It's just very easy and delightfully infinite which is not something one needs but it makes me pretty giddy anyway. No matter how many ideas you add to it, it looks good and it makes something about the tangential mind mapping process a lot more delightful. I'm looking forward to using this app more and I hope they makes some kind of desktop version at some point.
Okay
by I_Dont_Want_This on 2018/02/28 14:17
I think the app is aesthetically pleasing and intuitive. But, it is very simplistic and lacking in functionality. My biggest complaint is the lack of ability to link recurring themes. For instance if I have two groups A, and B a subset of A, each having object x, I have to add x to A, and x to B, instead of the mind map linking x to both A and B. I then lose the visual cue that x is recurring. I could create a scenario where they all belong to the same ‘ring’ but that would be inaccurate as well. In that case, it would appear circular, so I’d miss the visual cue that A is a subset of B, and x is an object of both; they would all appear as equals... easy fix, allow lines to be drawn between custom objects.
Great app- they should add
by Juileewa on 2018/05/20 19:17
So I ❤️ this app. But this is all that I am missing and i promise it’s a good idea. Sometimes i make my list in both a plan-ful manner or others in a mind-vomit way that I need the creation of the maps to move more quickly. Like sometimes I want the lists to turn into sub-bubbles so I don’t duplicate. Other times I don’t need a sub-list. Either way, and automated feature that would make that work would be cool. I’m sure it’s like an if this box is checked then do that.... maybe an incorporation with ifttt?
Ironically
by dllolllb on 2020/02/01 04:29
...i needed something...simpler...than simplemind app.

This is my compass for each day. I used to keep paper lists of routines and tasks for every day of the week. Now I am paperless. Everything is in one place. The versatility of the app makes it widely functional for me. When I name the tasks I give them a number. This gives me a starting point and keeps me going, but if I am brainstorming ideas or associations I don’t number them.

Amazing job and thank you

I’ve been able to put Mindly to work on several projects right off the download. I’ll be using it a lot going forward. It is simple enough to be intuitive. And it helps visual learners better understand my ideas. Would love more colors and the option to mess with the geometry if I wanted to, but these are not deal-breakers for me. Mindly is awesome.

I have a ton of thoughts go through my mind on a daily basis. I can normally see my plans in my minds eye, but it takes up time to go through that process so that I can be more productive. This app allows me to see my thoughts and go to a certain area for that I can focus my attention and have more progress.
Please add Google Drive backup support.
by Hangouts please on 2019/11/10 15:06
This has functioned flawlessly for me. It is simple and intuitive, which is my preference between this and other mind map apps.. I would love to offer some small enhancement suggestions, the biggest being that I wish I could back up to Google Drive. But it is functional as is.
High hopes dashed!
by Wimpycakes on 2018/03/15 09:08
I purchased the premium version of this app because I love mind mapping...and I never received it. I have the receipt to prove this. I also am unable to type anything in the text field since my “upgrade” which didn’t happen. Mindly customer service responded back blaming iOS. That was the extent of information they provided me, oh yeah and the turn my phone on an off nonsense. I’ve worked tech support, those are just filler words. It is NOT the iOS system, it is your app! Stop with the generic response and either fix the glitch, or return my money.
Great app! But...
by 1232/;()(;?$ on 2020/01/17 03:45
I love this app, it helps me organize my thoughts!
Incredibly Useful
by ricardo_nw on 2018/04/08 00:48
I’ve been using this app to organize my thoughts on a large scale project I am starting and this app has been exactly what I needed. I’m typically a pen and paper type of guy but I knew i needed something with scale. I tried a few other apps but Mindly was the type of “i didnt even know i needed this” experience. Great job team!
Very easy to use - and intuitive!
by Robert Garner on 2019/01/07 17:58
I really like this app! Best one I have used so far. And very affordable at $6.99 (full version). I really like all the export/print features too. Easy to save data to iCloud. Not clunky at all - like 99% of the apps (similar) I have tried. I’m an attorney and this app actually motivates me to dig even deeper into the case...
~ I love that there is no monthly subscription, a one time upgrade is something I am much more likely to purchase in an app.
love the navigation needs to incorporate urls & pictures
by cnj2 on 2020/02/04 12:34
It has very intuitive and beneficial navigation but needs to support clickable urls. to follow a web link you have to cut it, open the browser and paste it. Id expect node type that takes you to a web page when you select it. An option to use a picture from the camera roll as a background for a node would be nice
My mind, in an App!
by BoodPee on 2018/05/12 18:39
My productivity, my focus and my ability to trust myself have all improved. Having a tool where I can get all my thoughts out, and associate them further allows me to be confident I won’t forget, and frees up that outside layer of my attention to be present! This app is how my mind works! Thank you!
Seems okay, but...
by Seggers on 2017/12/01 15:05
This is a good start compared to a lot of stuff out there. I wish I knew what the full version actually offers, because the free one seems quite limited...would rather not spend the money to upgrade if there are not many more features than this. I'd like to be able to change my font color, and add more colors to the palate in general. Also, I wish there were a way to "uncollapse" the elements so you could see everything at once, without having to open up each element one by one or creating a PDF. How does one take some of the elements and "break them out" into a new branch from an existing one? Can it be done at all? Not being able to do this is frustrating.
Love this app!
by Brendawg_1025 on 2019/03/29 22:33
I really loved using this app to re-format my notes from class and to create how-to guides. Very simple to use and aesthetically pleasing. This app didn’t glitch and I love how you can save it to multiple different platforms for free! Great app and will definitely continue using it!
Building an app? Use this! Think different
by kevinmarchese on 2019/03/24 16:46
This application is the only mapping app that let me see my app functions the way I wanted to see it. Once it’s mapped out you can start coding against the layout. Great job people! Thank you. Not another mind mapping app, this one thinks different.
Beautiful & Simple Organization
by Box Shark on 2018/09/01 22:21
I use this app to organize my weeks before updating my schedule. I can categorize everything, break it down into it’s parts, and use the Mind Map to track my progress with color coding. This app is a god send! The free trial gives you plenty of elements (dots) to be useful, but it was worth the cash for unlimited maps and elements. My only request would be to add the ability to change all the underlying colors to all child elements within the parent element, not just the top level. Definitely worth the download!
It’s great
by wrench.junkie on 2020/03/30 06:37
I really like using this app for mapping ideas however in the mind map mode if there’s notes on a bubble it should be able to load the note on mind map instead of going to where you edit it but have an option to edit if you want to
Yes!
by Lmvc01 on 2020/06/08 13:03
I am a business owner, I frequently find myself thinking very hard and writing my ideas down, I have tried pen and paper... notability with my fancy apple pencil gen 2, but eventually I lose myself with so much data. I have finally found my solution! Mindly, has simplified my organization, has made it possible to present the ideas to my staff without getting the confused faces I usually get! It just about perfect! So far my concerns are as follows: Why can I not delete entire bubbles? Why am I not able to write over the images I insert?

Literally just paid for it and its refusing to allow me to even begin using it. Obviously furious. The help and support section of the app is also trash. I’ll have to have Apple refund me.

So good it leaves me wanting more
by Legirjsjso on 2020/11/21 09:22

Do not ridicule God

by wrench.junkie on 2020/03/30 06:37
I really like using this app for mapping ideas however in the mind map mode if there’s notes on a bubble it should be able to load the note on mind map instead of going to where you edit it but have an option to edit if you want to

Ok
by Mommy2atxprncs on 2020/03/02 22:19
So far so good.

Great app that lets you organice properly
love the navigation needs to incorporate urls & pictures
by cnj2 on 2020/02/04 12:34
It has very intuitive and beneficial navigation but needs to support clickable urls. to follow a web link you have to cut it, open the browser and paste it. Id expect node type that takes you to a web page when you select it. An option to use a picture from the camera roll as a background for a node would be nice
Linking elements
by HunterV35 on 2020/02/02 15:51
I absolutely love the app but i wish if you can create a way to link elements together, for example when i write down an element twice in different trees of thought they get linked somehow and if you can solve the resolution problem when i try and send the app somewhere else via whatsapp or email

...i needed something...simpler...than simplemind app.
Pretty good

Great app, one request:
by gbhatnag on 2019/12/14 17:59
Appreciate simplicity of flowing from one node to another and easily connecting, adding, removing and editing nodes. Fun and fast. One request that would take this to 5 stars: the ability to import links -- web pages, images, videos, etc. Currently I can set the title or description of a node to an http link, but it's not clickable, let alone expanded and previewing the content at the link. This would make finding items out and about in the web so easy to import into Mindly and add to the map of your choosing. Do you have plans to add such a feature?
Nice! Missing a few features, however
by SueDraws on 2019/12/02 06:26
This is a great mind app tool!

I just wish now it has some useful functions when mapping ideas. for ex, switching different colors based on a scheduled time frame (lets say after certain days, weeks, or months) I know its falls under different apps but to have this in Mindly will simply solve my current problem because I am doing this manually every once in a while so you can imagine how relieved I could be if this tiny function gets added! thanks

by sjbarai on 2019/06/08 17:26
I do like this app but I think the developers are asking for a lot of money for this not-so-complex app. First of all, they do not come up with new features frequently. The last new-feature update was like 2 years back. I already paid for this app on Android and now they’re asking me to pay on iOS again, which is like 7-8 bucks. They’ve just made this app and left it like this with only new version support updates. This is bad.

Fantastic app! I love it

Great app!

But overall...AMAZING APP!

by montechie on 2020/12/05 13:53
Can’t long-press and delete maps as the docs claim.
Love! This!
by SujeyLee on 2018/06/03 07:13
I’m using this app to help me develop a story. I purchased the app and it’s the best purchase I’ve probably ever made. Bravo!
Nice! Missing a few features, however
by SueDraws on 2019/12/02 06:26
This is a great mind app tool!
I love this mind-map app
by Charlie545 on 2019/02/28 12:04
This is my compass for each day.
Incredible
by Joshlcarr on 2018/02/01 15:11
I personally have never found my Maps to work for myself. However I came across this mind mapping application by accident, and within two minutes purchased the item despite the fact I did not need the extra features at the time as I wanted to contribute my appreciation to individuals who created an innovative application. Amazing job and thank you
Works the way I think.
by Luddite on 2019/01/13 13:15
I’ve been able to put Mindly to work on several projects right off the download. I’ll be using it a lot going forward. It is simple enough to be intuitive. And it helps visual learners better understand my ideas. Would love more colors and the option to mess with the geometry if I wanted to, but these are not deal-breakers for me. Mindly is awesome.
Perfect
by BrettReed on 2020/11/05 08:02
This app perfectly explains how my mind works. One rabbit hole after another, of thoughts. This allows me to build my system of thoughts and arrange them in ways to allow for diving in and out of certain areas, but not be stuck in thought for lack of memory of what was being thought of earlier. I’m able to organize easily. I love this app <3
iOS 13
by urtoothpain on 2019/09/27 16:18
Since the iPad got updated I’m unable to see the letters while typing in a document. They will appear once you get off the editing mode. But it’s really hard to keep track of what’s going on with whatever you are writing. Please fix this I payed and has enjoyed using this app for a long time I would not be thrilled to not be able to use any more. Thanks in advance.
See Your Thoughts Unfold In Front of You.
by Nasire_Bey on 2019/06/28 04:29
I have a ton of thoughts go through my mind on a daily basis.
~ I love that there is no monthly subscription, a one time upgrade is something I am much more likely to purchase in an app.
love the navigation needs to incorporate urls & pictures
by cnj2 on 2020/02/04 12:34
It has very intuitive and beneficial navigation but needs to support clickable urls. to follow a web link you have to cut it, open the browser and paste it.
ADHD Brain
by evaklein39 on 2020/06/11 10:42
For the longest time I had tried to track my train of thought on paper into categories and it was always too difficult. I found this app by accident and tracking the way my ADHD brain works is honestly a relief.
