Pretty useful. The developers should look into adding a Starfinder option for Pathfinder’s sci-fi variant
Very Helpful! Can't live without it, now.
by NightLordsOldtimer on 2020/01/28 03:46
It's a very good app, bordering on greatness. But there are a few things that keep that fifth star off, for me, at least. (All of these observations apply to the 3.5 version of the app; I haven't tried the Pathfinder side of things.) Without going into excruciating detail (and I do tend to be verbose), play around with the app. A lot. There are several idiosyncrasies that could trip you up, but after building a few test characters and increasing them up thru a bunch of levels (all the way to 20th, I'd recommend) you'll figure them out. The one that is just a major head scratcher for me is when it prompts you to select a new feat. For Ranger, Rogue and Barbarian, at least (I didn't try Fighter, so it may be different, but I doubt it), the app prompts you to add a feat at 3rd level, no problem. But then it prompts you for a new feat at 5th and 7th, but not at 6th. 9th is OK, but not all of the levels prompt you to add a new feat correctly. (You can manually add feats, and really pretty much anything, in Edit mode; you have much more flexibility in Edit mode than when prompted, but the prompted screens let you do simple adds, which is often all you need.) A trick I'd like to impart is, don't "Add Class" from the main screen when you are initially creating your characters. Instead, choose "Advance in Level", and then select the Class you want your character to start as. This sets all of the "Class" flags in the Skills list for that Class. IF YOU DON'T DO THIS, IT DOESN'T SET THESE FLAGS PROPERLY, and that means that Skills won't work as they're supposed to, which is very sad. This will set your character at 1st level. Then, when it's time to go up a level, choose "Advance in Level", and when it prompts you to add a level to a Class, be sure to select your current level Class entry; this is the first choice on the page, do not select the same Class from the complete list of Classes below your current Class(es). If you select the same class twice, the app won't stop you, even tho this is specifically verboten in the Player's Handbook. Likewise, if you want to go multiclass, choose "Advance in Level" and when prompted, select the new class from the complete list of Classes. You WILL get all of the correct Class flags set for that Class' Skills if you do it this way; otherwise, you may not. Do not select "Add Class" to multiclass your character. And, finally, if you want to create another character that's the same as (or similar to) one you already have, don't Copy an existing character. None of the Class flags in the Skills section will import over to the new character sheet if you do. You cannot fix this via the app in any way that I've tried, although there still might be a way. (Copying items from one character to another, when you're adding items to a character, does work fine, including copying over any bonuses, etc., that you set on the original character's item.) Otherwise, it's a very robust app. Just not 100% great. But, now that I have it on both my iPhone and my iPad, I couldn't imagine doing a D&D 3.5 Session without it! Be sure to really play around with the features. It's very feature rich and capable, but a wee bit quirky in some places. (OK, I ended up getting verbose. So, sue me. I hope this helps someone!)
Best of the RPG character sheet apps by far
by Anaxamaxan on 2020/01/19 03:32
Yes, there are a few things that I wish this could automate a little better, but honestly the other players in my group take 5x as long to do simple things that I can do on this app with a tap or two. Tip: make an equipment item for common spell effects like Haste or Bull Strength. Then you equip the item and you have those effects in play.
Facebook support?
by AMorbidOne on 2019/12/16 02:36
I don’t have nor want Facebook. There seems to be no mechanism to add Spell DC for spell focus or greater spell focus based on class. There’s no mechanism to edit the spell and manually set the Spell DCs and the ones for every spell level are set at base a Spell DC which is incorrect for ant spells over level 0. Otherwise a nice app but not very good for spell casters.
Love this app
by Grimstone1 on 2019/12/11 01:13
Amazingly well done. I have been using it for 3.5 for a few years now. I am hoping an update soon Also guys, please release a how to do manual. That would be an icing on the cake. Highly recommended!!! Support Lions Den.

Boom
by sexycat30 on 2019/12/05 14:07
Everyone who plays d&d should have this app handy. It has room for improvement, but I love this app. It’s easier to find sources with the compendium, and rule book. It’s easy to roll for things if you forget your die( like I occasionally do). It’s so easy to make a character and put a picture to it. I love that. It’s easy to learn how to navigate, and remember where things can be. It’s easy to swap out gear and such, and I really like the option to put a picture to the gear to show what it looks like. It’s not a perfect world though, so here’s some things this app could lead into: 1. It could turn into a desktop version to see better, and easier to browse things with multiple windows. 2. The compendium can expand with more races to choose from, updated classes and prestige classes, and rule books. 3. The game versions can expand, like older versions before 3.5, or after etc. I know a couple people who like playing in older versions. 4. Honestly, I don’t think there should be an excuse not to have this app. Everyone should have it who plays D&D. Hopefully this review can help expand the horizons, and may the force be with you.
Useful with lots of potential
by JonellieB73 on 2019/11/05 01:10
This app is really useful, but one thing that would be really handy is to see what modifiers are contributing to a score. For instance, the Initiative score modifier is my Dex modifier+ my Improved Initiative feat, etc. This will also help with diagnosing if something miscalculates.
Spells
by Sleepingpiranha on 2019/10/22 12:55
I’ll admit, it I great, but. I cannot edit the spells to fix them. Because there is one major problem, all of the spells are 0 level, and because I cannot edit them appropriately, they are forced to stay at zero level.

Needs to be available for Android

Great app if you have an iPhone or iPad. Needs to be available for Android.
We have to do the work for a paid app‽
by UnicornChow on 2019/09/11 16:52
Even with the paid version of the app it is incomplete at best. If you want something as basic as all the races and classes from pathfinder you have to find or create XML files and add them to the app manually. Total rip off! DO NOT BUY this app unless you are willing to do a ton of extra work.
I’ve gone paperless
by epiclvlcommoner on 2019/08/19 13:26
I love my dice, but I love faster paced high-level Pathfinder combat more. This app is easy to use and dramatically reduces the algebra needed for some of the more complicated builds. I recommend it to all my friends. A criticism: being able to see the inputs that go into the weapon bonuses and such would be helpful for character sheet auditing. I’ve run into a few bugs that could have been solved much faster if I could track *how* some of the macros are being calculated. It would also be helpful learning tool for new players. Other than the occasional calculation error, this app is wonderful and I have no interest in ever returning to analog.
Issues
by Pheznik on 2019/07/16 07:43
Can’t delete characters Can’t modify attacks to include things like weapon focus These are the things I found in just 20 mins.
Every Update Makes a Great App Worse
by Idiotstupid on 2019/07/10 06:32
I wish this app had not automatically updated for me. After each update, the interface design is substantially worse — it used to be a neat and efficient use of screen real estate; now, it’s an ugly mess that wastes screen space. Please bring back the V2.3 interface, where the character portrait was only displayed on the first menu, instead of wasting more than half the screen on every menu. I’ve used this app for years and used to recommend it to all of my players. Now I hardly use it (and never recommend it) because it’s become so inefficient.
Stylish and Well-Featured
by Burtimus on 2019/05/19 17:12
Let me not muddy the waters by pointing out a good point, then countering it with a nitpick. Let’s keep it simple: pros and cons. PROs: The interface is beautiful. That may not seem like much, but in the face of successful (but frankly ugly) systems like Hero Lab and RPG Scribe, sometimes a look that seduces the pupils is a welcome break. The Compendium has basic information of use to players and GMs, and is easily accessible. This is no small thing; in systems as deep and detailed as Pathfinder and 5e, having to delve into the books is inelegant. Price point: this is a good value for the investment. Good support, good functionality, great design. There are others, but let’s keep it short. CONs: I mentioned the complexity of the systems. Hero Lab will do the majority of the work figuring the modifiers and options... for a price. And an interface with all the style and charm of an IRS report form. Not so much with Fight Club. Be prepared to do a fair bit of typing (or cut-and-paste) for any character of a non-vanilla nature. Be prepared to think for yourself. It is no difficult thing to input data incorrectly and have a marginally useless character sheet; to be fair, however, Fight Club has resources which, if followed, will prevent problems down the line. The only reason I list this as a con is that not everyone RTFM. I highly recommend it.
Amazing help for a new player!
by devinbear on 2019/05/14 20:31
This app has made breaking into Pathfinder so painless! The ability to customize just about everything while still remaining super streamlined is worth far more that the $3 I paid not to see ads. Keep it up!
Good app, but...
by _Lynk_ on 2019/05/07 02:43
I really do like this app, but there are three problems. The first one is that there are almost no races to choose from. There are WAY MORE races that should be in the app than the few you are given. The second problem is similar to the first, being that there are barely any classes for you to choose from with this app. My final problem is that I spent an overwhelmingly long time making a class and a race, saved them and made a character, closed the app for a few minutes and opened it back up, and absolutely NOTHING I had just done was there. I would definitely use this app much more if this bug or whatever it is gets fixed.
Not bad!
by Jakepec on 2019/05/03 15:08
Pretty great app but could definitely use some content updates. I’d like a way to auto track magical gear bonuses.
I can’t say enough how great this app is!
by Allicaleb on 2019/03/29 15:04
My DM loves it! The ability to take notes, set up your character, see your inventory, all awesomely done. I also love how it takes into consideration your stats when rolling. And that’s another cool feature is that you can choose which dice to roll and with what modifier. My only complaint is that no where that I’ve seen can you put in your alignment. I also wish the personal information (hair color, personal descriptions etc..) was in its own section and not just a blip on the side you have to click on. If they could change those 2 things it would be perfect! Thanks for such a great app!

Duplicates, or won’t save information frequently.
Pretty Good
by wwertghj on 2019/03/17 17:30
A nice character sheet app. Still could use some improvement but it functions. You have to pay to make more than one character at a time.
Great app and easy to use
by Blakkmojo on 2019/03/05 14:29
I think the app is well organized and easy to use. One thing I’d like to see is the ability to set up more robust conditions that can apply all the stat changes for something like Barbaría Rage just by selecting it. It would allow you to apply the ability bonuses, saves and AC penalty all at the same time. That way I don’t have to have multiple attack types I can just have everything adjusted at one time. Nothing to track on a separate piece of paper.
Love it, but needs some tuning
by Razuvius1001 on 2019/02/25 20:31
Love the app. Very organized and useful for those of us interested in 3.5e. Really like how I can add in my own Skills to the list, being there are multiple campaign settings that have specific Skills (such as Program, Knowledge (engineering), Psychology (For characters like Inquisitors), Psionic based Skills, and such). It does however lack utility for things like setting up Deities, Domains, Alignment, and adding custom classes, races, abilities, etc. permanently into the Compendium. Also, the full list of abilities gained by leveling are important to my campaigns, and using the Add All function when manually setting up classes doesn't do what I think/thought it meant. I discovered by accidentally mistapping Yes when setting up the class lets me manually pick the abilities allows that. The Add All feature being fixed could save my lazy butt, and eliminate the confusion i experienced that can affect others Regardless, this brand of app excells Fifth Edition Character Sheet app i was using for 5e, and plan to use both 5e and 3.5e versions of these character sheets and the DM apps
Ok, but disappointing
by AKSMountainBiker on 2019/02/18 14:21
The interface is clunky but not difficult to use. The biggest issue is that it only handles core PHB2 classes and you can’t specify stats such as BAB or class skills, so all skill ranks count as double even when they are “untrained” which is plain wrong. For supported classes it works ok for initial generation, but less good when leveling up, especially for spell casters.
Amazing App!!! Easy to use and understand!
by Avaraelion on 2019/01/31 17:00
I just started a monthly pathfinder game with some friends and this has become extremely useful! Being able to easily keep track of all my modifiers, skills, and rolls couldn’t be easier than on this app. You can add custom inventory and even customize weapon rolls. I would like to offer a suggestion though: add a “Report Bug” feature. The app has crashed several times while creating my character sheet. The crash I was able to consistently recreate is when I try to change the damage die for the punching dagger.
Nice layout, not much content
by Irwinium on 2019/01/06 09:42
Downloaded this app to make an unchained rogue. There is currently no option to make any unchained characters. I am disappointed. The app is pretty. But I'm still disappointed.
Great app
by 8171362547 on 2018/12/28 20:25
I really like this app it’s super helpful the only thing I could ask for would be to put more races and classes other then that it is the best
Great app
by TheLastHotBoy on 2018/12/16 09:14
Wold be better if it auto filled more stuff. You don’t even have warlock as a class in 3.5 Please keep updating. Roll dice...
No Feats?
by Binarynova on 2018/12/09 23:00
Am I missing something or does the Pathfinder/3.5ed app not have Feats? Or Equipment? I really liked the 5th Ed app but I can’t see myself using this one at all.
Keep getting changed for the app
by Rellik1971 on 2018/11/16 13:05
Why am I getting charged $2.99 every few weeks for this app?
Very nice and easy to use
by a-dark-day on 2018/08/16 02:40
I really enjoy using this app for the finer details of references- I'll usually jot down the gist of a fear or spell, then use the app to find the specifics. I particularly like the ability to add custom content, and especially counters, such as for bardic performance rounds remaining and the like.
Updates
by NerdRage4life on 2018/08/07 05:56
Would be a lot better if it did the auto calculation like the 5e version. does not change states when race is added. And the spells all fall under the 0 level category. Makes spell selection difficult. Would love for it to be as updated as the 5e version.
Need to update with pathfinder hybrid classes
by dekdekd on 2018/06/10 04:47
The app isn’t up to date with the hybrid classes for pathfinder, also there are races from the advanced race guide that aren’t in the app as well. Having those added would be greatly appreciated
Not worth the purchase
by Dirkish98926 on 2018/05/22 19:47
Took a look at the program for pathfinder (the walk through for character generation) in several areas it repeated (like bonus feats for wizard) several times. When building the class it had you pick class features with no telling what you needed to get them. I created a lv 1 wizard that let me choose any spell I felt like, all bonuses you get for specializing into various schools at once, with no penalty. Overall it just seemed a bit off (and rather messed up for any new players) However it does atleast calculate skills correctly and you can roll as needed.
Great Job Lions Den!!
by Ash1979gargle on 2018/05/11 04:07
I completely love this app. I’m shocked it’s so well done given that it’s totally free. You guys are true pros. Still haven’t found a single thing I wasn’t able to do with it, and the fact that I can add pictures to my backstory in the notes section as well as add pictures to the weapons that I’ve crafted just tickles me. My group is playing through a lord of the rings module, and I have a picture of the Uruk Hai shooting Boromir under the description for the Orkish Hornbow. It’s hysterical.
Good app but...
by Gylfie on 2018/05/07 15:25
I really like this app the way it looks and the fact that I can add my own things into it because the DMs I play under love using home brew things. I don't like that there isn't a lot of races and that the race selection is the same for both pf and 3.5. I also don't like that there isn't a place for spells per day and a second BAB at a certain level you get 2 attacks. The last thing that upset me was the fact that after putting in all my work of putting in what I could for my Ifrit Inquisitor I have to pay $3 just to make another character who is a gnome Druid/mystical engineer/master of many forms. This app isn't worth the time and energy.
Put back 20+ lvl classes
by Stromther on 2018/04/28 13:24
The app is fantastic for NPC and character management, but the recent update limited the level limit for classes to 20. I'm running a campaign where its semifinal boss is a lvl 24 paladin. I realize I could just modify its stats and leave a note for what level it is, but it would be a nice quality of life improvement if the level cap was gotten rid of or at least set to an unrealistically achievable number such as 99 or something if the sort.
Base book info only?
by Anarchy Jake on 2018/04/16 04:45
They only have base players handbook for character creation. I went to make a monk character, and they don’t even include monk weapons. But, I can import info if I search forever online... seems sloppy.
Amazing! But...
by TheNavinator001 on 2018/04/04 02:06
This app is great for making characters for anything! D&D, RPG’s, Video Game ideas, etc., etc., etc. If you want to make more than 2, well, you have to buy the in-app purchase.
It’s great!
by Busts Big Nutz on 2018/03/25 19:18
Love the app!
Didn't end up working for me
by Ally33218 on 2018/02/24 03:04
So I was building a knight with the strong heart halfling race, and some of the custom modifiers I had to put in didn't work. Wasn't worth the effort in the end
Update broke the spells
by Bloodspoor on 2018/02/18 06:27
This is my go-to character sheet app for Pathfinder, but the recent updates have made all the wizard spells level 0. I have not seen an option to alter each spell’s levels.
Missing classes
by InsanityOctopus on 2018/02/03 06:21
Base classes are there, but core classes are missing. Please add!
Pretty good but with flaws
by Deruwyn on 2018/01/31 19:04
I like most of this but it has a couple issues. Deleveling doesn't remove skill points. Carrying weight just keeps going up, even after I removed all items and added them back.
Great (but with a few bugs)
by copyright 1982 on 2018/01/27 07:31
After trying numerous character sheet apps, this is by far the BEST I’ve found! Easy to use with an intuitive interface. Is is only app I’ve found in which is is easy to apply effects like rage, songs, and auras (by creating a custom adventure item for each effect). However, I have noticed the following bugs which prevent me from giving it 5 stars. Bugs (version 3.0.5): - When creating a new character from an existing character Skill bonus are always 0 no matter the number of trained ranks. - Fatigued and Exhausted conditions do not change abilities and stats - Rearranging custom trackers can create duplicate copies of the tracker
Very good but needs tweaks
by Tardis_Fox on 2018/01/24 22:05
I love this app very much! It still needs some minor updates such as some of the other classes but other than that it’s doing good

Thanks for listening, Lion’s Den!
by CaseyElise on 2017/12/16 22:53
EDIT: After the update I can now create and roll for companion creatures seamlessly from the character sheet. I appreciate the willingness of the devs to listen to feedback. I LOVE this app. The design is beautiful in its simplicity and it makes dice rolls simple with a touch of your finger, no math after you've smoothed out all your stats. My favorite aspects of this app are the note-taking capability and adding snazzy photos of your characters. I add my characters manually and don't have much use for the compendium, so I can't comment on how much information it has or how updated it is. There is one small annoyance I have, and that is with adding companions. Most of my characters have familiars/summons/pets and I would like to be able to create, edit and roll them from the main character's sheet. I have a ton of pets I have to scroll through on the home page. Every time I want to roll a skill with a pet, I have to back out of my character's sheet to find the pet's sheet, and vice versa. I wish I could click on the pet after I've linked it with its owner to open up the proper sheet, like I can with Fight Club 5. Just a small tweak, but it would increase my rating to 5 stars. Thank you for making an ALMOST PERFECT app!
Worth the price.
by FateLMstake on 2017/12/16 21:57
It works well and is truly worth the price, especially with the most recent update. I recommend this app to my players especially the newer ones as it helps to make sure that all of their numbers go to the right places.
Nice app
by nhess97 on 2017/10/12 01:04
Would be nice to have a space to add new classes to the mix instead of the core classes. I have no problem with manually adding them like additional spells but having the tab in the table of contents would be great
Not dependable
by Spotatoe on 2017/10/04 02:57
I purchased this app and took the time to fully load my characters. Then a new version of iOS came out and my characters wouldn’t load. I can see the info is still saved on iCloud but the app won’t open it. Tried to contact developer but received no response or help.
Needs updates.
by Eyoung84 on 2017/07/10 20:23
It's a really good app. I also use the fight club 5th edition app. I'm disappointed that this app doesn't have the level of detail the 5th edition one has. If it was a detailed as the 5th edition app I'd give it a 5. As it sits, I give it a 3.
Fantastic App!!!!
by Not Pathfinder...Pathfound on 2017/07/08 15:41
This app has taken our Pathfinder Campaign to a new level. The greatest thing about this app is the broad range of customizations that can be made. I greatly appreciate the completeness of it. This app has helped Players, and the GM, become more familiar w/ the smaller, usually forgotten nuances of the game. Now for a few Wish spells... - being able to label and save the customized conditions. Ex. When the party is blessed, I can tap my "blessed" condition. - being able to send the attached pics of my equipment to the drop box to share with the item. - ability to turn on or off certain feat, racial, or class, features. Ex. When Ranger is attacking his favored enemy, turn on the attack/damage bonus. Turn it off when said enemy has been dealt with. Thanks again for the great app!!
Very Useful DM App
by Kageit on 2017/07/04 23:57
I like that I can keep all of my parties characters stats, skills, and abilities/spells so I do not have to ask for their character sheets or keep tons of papers of information lying around. It is also a wonderful dictionary for all spells, multiple feats and rules that is easy to find and operate.
Love this app. Easy to use and handy. Sync'd on phone and ipad
by Ashley Andersen on 2017/06/24 03:03
A little steep to first create a character and figure out where odd things go. But i love the nerdy flexibility, that it rolls and updates statuses, used spells etc.

Great app
by Yourduce on 2017/03/03 20:17
So far i have run across very few problems within this character creation toll. The only problems come from the scattered items that feel like they were never finished. But by and large the biggest problem for me is the leveling of characters. Take the bab tracker, it lets you go up to a stupid high number that is never possible, but it doesnt separate the bab how you would need to do it. Take a ranger at level 6, its bab would read +6/+1 but the app doesnt do that, its either +6 OR +1. There are other issues like that but they can be worked around so the app is still the best creation tool ive tried to date.
Very easy and nice to have on hand
by Woundedfrog on 2017/03/02 18:36
I never rate apps, but this has been so helpful (I only recently started playing RPGs). And having this out during a session provides ease of access to everything you need. Even adding in other spells is very simple (copy/paste ftw) and has helped my understanding of the game mechanics. There are a few suggestions in other comments that I agree with (leveling up changes), but something that would be nice is if there were a way to change how attack rolls are calculated with the Weapon Finesse and Two-Weapon Fighting feats; I just added modifiers to my weapons (which is really handy in its own right) to give me the proper number. This isn't a big concern, but a few little things could make this app even better.

Pretty good character design app, my only real nitpick is when you add your own weapons class etc it's doesn't save them for later use. Also doesn't level your characters so you still have to look up the advancements level to level. Other than that it's pretty solid.

Great app! Makes managing your character sheet and spells super convenient. If only it helped manage your leveling and was a little more clear with adding level or class stats as you progress through your adventure. Layout can be a little confusing, but it's much better than anything else I've found!
Fantastic

It does everything I could hope for.
Helpful and Easy to Use
by K2568 on 2017/02/03 22:41
I love the GUI as well as the fact that it automatically calculates ability and skill modifiers based on class and race. It also has an in app system for rolling different skill checks. I like that there is a notes section so you can record background information about your character. You can also add photos from your photo library to show a portrait of each character and to illustrate your notes. I can tell a lot of work went into this app and it is super awesome that it is offered for free. I ended up buying the full version just to support the developers since RPGs need more quality management apps like this.
Best on the App Store
by Bufomaster on 2017/01/12 00:21
Loved it after I got the full version, tho had some stability though issues where it'd crash and wipe all my data from the app. Luckily it has an iCloud backup feature that allows me to back up hours of typed info so when it tries wiping my characters I'll be ready. What I'd like to see is a horizontal orientation mode, to make 4 hours of pecking into 1 1/2 hours of typing. An Exp Bar to show how close to your next level you are. A selection of "natural attacks" cuz my I know pet hellhound don't punch, he bite, and it's dumb to make bite a weapon...
A very good app, but a few shortcomings
by LordRichard2 on 2016/12/24 05:39
The app has a great ui and has a lot of convenient features. The app is missing some though: It hasn't been updated in awhile, with newest pathfinder data. Adding items and spells is cumbersome, as most aren't in the app and have to be copy and pasted. There are no nice ways to handle money and calculating change and remaining change without doing it manually. Notes are a bit cumbersome to read, as they appear as a single column of continual text with headlines. Writing chapters of a characters events in a campaign is very cumbersome to read and navigate. Writing notes has a bug, where the text area does not scroll when you get to the bottom, unless you add a ton of spaces and empty lines. The notes run off the screen and make it hard to keep typing. I am forced to make a ton of notes, with around only 20 lines each. The application also doesn't have a set of standard images for items, equipment, money, characters, spells or other dnd things. This could be due to licensing, but I figured they would find creative Commons or freely licensed images to use. This would make the app a lot more polished. Otherwise, it has a great system for calculating bonuses, adding auras, effects, and tracking counters for things easily. I also love the way that the application can export characters to other sources besides just iCloud. This is nice, as to not rely on Apple data storage. Overall, a great app, but needs updates and a few ux changes to be fully featured. Please don't abandon this application, it has a ton of potential.
Really good app
by Arroz2012 on 2016/12/19 00:50
This is good. I like it. It's cool. Awesome.
It's a great app just a couple suggestions though.
by Dungeon19Master95 on 2016/12/08 19:46
I love this app I've been using it to create npcs for my home brew D&D campaign as well as my pcs. However, the first suggestion I have is on the base attack bonus when you get to higher character levels you have your main base attack as well as a secondary and sometimes more. In this app though you only have the option of a single base attack bonus so you would have to keep track of the extras on paper or from the book. Also sometimes bonuses from items or feats can only be active under certain circumstances. So my suggestion for that is maybe add the option to put a description on each bonus as well just like you have the option for item descriptions and many other things. Regardless, this app is still very helpful and I will continue to use it for my character creation in the future.
Deceitful paid app
by Looks18tome on 2016/12/02 05:19
I appreciate that you allow people to test out the basics of the app before buying it. However, I do not appreciate the lack of mention in the description. Very disappointing.
Sorry... Not sorry.
by GodlyP on 2016/11/29 03:17
What's the point of an app if you have to pay for it to be beneficial. It's bad enough we have to pay for everything to play the game, now even more to be eco-friendly. Should be free.
QADR says
by Rerednaw on 2016/11/26 20:34
Pros: basic functions free Cons: so far does not save anything you type. Does not have key basic features needed for a character sheet (no feat list, feat chains, no descriptions which are OGL) A sample character or step by step would have been useful. Quite frankly existing spreadsheets and of course the amazing pcgen are far more complete (and also free).
Everything you'll need
by Griffindoor! on 2016/11/20 00:38

Must-have App
by qarni on 2016/11/16 09:26
This app will revolutionize how you play Pathfinder. It is virtually perfect.
Pretty Good
by Crazysteveon on 2016/10/21 06:41
It's the best D&D app I could find. Only a couple things are wrong but I'm pretty sure if you upgrade to the premium version then it's perfect.
Amazing! Request here!
by Averyashimself on 2016/10/20 20:37
This app has helped me so much with keeping up with the integrity of my characters. I plan on buying the full version. My request to the developers is to add a feature that shows where all my bonuses are coming from. It would be absolutely outstanding if I could 3D Touch on one of the skills, and a menu pop up showing why I'm getting a plus. This feature could eventually be added all across the board. If you have any questions regarding this request please reply to this review and I can email you.
Crashing and deleting files
by giutarguy51 on 2016/10/10 13:51
So I put about two hour into making all the characters that I use in my groups and the first few times the app crashed and didn't save what I was working on which was frustrating. But out of no where the app crashed and deleted all of my characters. Very disappointed, wish I hadn't wasted my time/money. Just stick to paper.
Convenient
by S. E. Myers on 2016/10/10 11:57
This is a very good app. Great to have, especially for new players.
Wonderful App!
by SirDort on 2016/10/02 17:04
This app is a perfect hassle free way to create characters for any dnd session. Coupled with there other free apps, my dnd campaigns have become more exciting and easier for everyone!
Only good for 3.5
by Alchemybynight on 2016/08/26 10:15
If you want to use this to build a pathfinder character forget about it. Most of the classes aren't available for pathfinder, and unlike their 5e version you can't import classes so it's a waste.
Lack of content
by S0m3th1ng I guess on 2016/08/19 01:30
Do not purchase the full version of this app if you intend to play more than the core books for 3.5 and Pathfinder. It includes nothing outside of the core book despite seeming to offer content for every book. While you can manually add anything you want, there's no benefit other than having multiple character sheets. Severely disappointed and wishing I could get my money back. If you want a way to hold character sheets on your mobile device, make PDFs.
Intuitive and Powerful
by Yosnan on 2016/08/16 21:21
This app has made it an enjoyable experience to make new characters, and with a lot of my new players, who can be confused by all of the math involved, is easy to point to a field and say, "these numbers here!" While explaining smaller details as we go along. I give this app high marks.
The best Pathfinder Character sheet on the App Store
by Spiral159 on 2016/08/16 17:42
There may be some problems, but no other app compares to this one in regards to character sheets.
Can't beat it for the price.
by PMcGCMT on 2016/08/03 16:02
While this app takes a bit more work to bring a character together, it does it in a very well organized and easy to use way, and way cheaper than the money pit that is Hero Lab. I'm looking forward to what else the developers feel like adding!
Very good tool!
by Natmnky on 2016/06/23 20:23
It's a very handy app and I would recommend it to any D&D player, but I think it could use a bit more races, classes, and to expand on racial features such as stats.
Close to perfect
by AetherDrake on 2016/06/20 19:20
Great app that handles almost everything pretty well. A few minor issues such as deflection modifiers and dodge modifiers to AC don't automatically apply to CMD, but it's not the biggest problem in the world. Would definitely recommend it if you're looking for a good digital character sheet.
Love it more and more
by Parker1536 on 2016/06/17 15:37
Simply amazing! I love just about everything about this app. It's so user friendly, clean looking, helpful, and great for D&D in every way. I hadn't bought anything on the app store in almost 2 years until I bought the expansion, and have never regretted it. I absolutely love this app!
This really is a great app
by Randomly named. on 2016/06/11 14:57
I use this app for all of my pathfinder characters. Between this and the stuff I create myself, it makes staying organized very easy. The auto calculating of your stats/mods is fantastic. They have covered just about everything. Only thing I could ask for is more spells and what not be included. But even now you can create your own. Thank you for this app!
Wish it was more like FC 5
by RAWR! ^-^ on 2016/05/26 20:51
I love the fight club apps, they are amazing and simply beautiful. However, I wish that Fight Club 3 had all the functionality of Fight Club 5 in terms of the Dropbox xml files. FC 5 has many more categories you can use (race, class, backgrounds, feats, even a bestiary), where as FC3 is only Spells and Equipment. If Lion's Den would just update the FC3 to more closely parallel FC5's structure, I would immensely appreciate it. Just having empty available categories, like FC5, is extremely helpful. Thank you for making such amazing apps!
Major let down
by Disappointed seriously on 2016/05/19 04:23
Compared to fight club 5e, this is a real let down. Do not recommend.
Outstanding
by FR0GM4N on 2016/05/03 21:58
I am so glad that I paid the additional fee for the full unlock, because it is completely worth it. The app automatically calculates all of your skills based off of your character's equipment, stats, etc. and makes things so simple. I love the option to add notes and pictures to your character, to really make them feel alive instead of a them being a bunch of numbers. This is a fantastic app and I recommend it to every one already in, or wanting to get into, role playing.
Missing major features even on paid version
by Wiscrhino on 2016/04/03 18:22
I have the PAID version of this d20 fight club app for 3/pathfinder - have been playing around w it a lot and have concluded a few things: 1) it's half an app. I love the half that is complete but hate that it's not fully functional. 2) EVERYTHING is manual. That's good and bad. Good you can customize a lot. Bad that nothing works - ie things don't scale with level increases. So great you went from level 5 to 6 and manually entered that, but your corresponding increases to resistances - fort/will/ref saves did not increase as well, so you would have to remember to crack open the book, look up the chart and then manually adjust everything. This is a major issue the developer needs to address. 3) TONS of spells, items equipment, etc are missing, not created yet. You can make them without a ton of work using an XML editor (I tried and created a few), but it's time consuming work. Looking online there is a ton of community created stuff for DD v5 but nothing for pathfinder yet. 4) related to #3 above, lots of races that are not completed - annoying, you have to manually create those in the app, there is no way to create in xml and import them. That's another major flaw - you should be able to import an XML file for other races and classes. 5) I downloaded the app to both my iPhone as well as my iPad however I can't seem to be able to save a character to iCloud or retrieve it to pull it down on the other device. I get an error message. Please fix! Those are all pretty major issues, which would normally make this a 1 star review, but I'm giving 3 stars because this app has so much potential and the things that do work do so beautifully.
Two tiny criticisms
by Corndog2021 on 2016/03/29 18:25
This app is amazing! I only have two problems: The way (or lack thereof) it handles multiple attacks leaves much to be desired. It doesn't account for BAB 6+ having an additional BAB at -5, so once BAB hits 6 you have to track other attacks separately using the attack macros. The macros are easy to make, though, so it's not a huge deal. Plus it automatically adds BAB and base saves for multiclassed characters! The other problem is with the character spell book, which doesn't automatically track used spell slots (e.g. I can have two spells prepared and two slots available, but casting a spell doesn't actually spend a spell slot). That just means I have to click to cast a prepared spell and click again to track my spell slots. Not a big deal, but it also doesn't track spell slots for 0 level spells. Fine for pathfinder, but it doesn't do it on the 3.5 sheet either. Overall, this app is amazing and a HUGE convenience. GUI is A+, glad to have the full basic spell book and equipment list, and I love how you can make your own things (spells, feats, traits, classes, etc.) and save them.
Great for character building
by Bulldose on 2016/03/16 15:30
I'm somewhat new to d&d and this app helped tremendously lots of prebuilt spells and characters all you need to do is plug an play with a few manual additions that you need to pull from the books and your off if you are looking for something more in the realm where you design the whole sheet I really enjoyed sheetyourself either way it's a great app for most of your needs
Excellent utility app
by Lumrunner on 2016/03/09 17:25
It only contains the core rules though. Is there a resource for all of the other open content from the supplemental books? If I could find that then this goes way up to a 5.
Great App
by CuttsAndBruises on 2016/03/03 02:03
It's a really great app. The import feature can transform it into a truly robust piece of work. I'd like to see the ability to import feats. Feats in general can use a little work; a field for prerequisites, a game mechanic's normal function and any special functions. Items could use a price field; it would help in keeping track of spending when rolling a new character. I would also like to see Spell DCs per spell level, similar to what's on the official character sheets. I've been using it for Pathfinder Society games and it makes keeping track of everything much simpler. Compiling my compendium from the PRD is pretty simple, though a time consuming process. The updates keep coming, and I'm looking forward to seeing what's in store. Again I'll say it: great app!
Boom
by sexycat30 on 2019/12/05 14:07
Everyone who plays d&d should have this app handy.
Updates
by NerdRage4life on 2018/08/07 05:56
Would be a lot better if it did the auto calculation like the 5e version. does not change states when race is added. And the spells all fall under the 0 level category. Makes spell selection difficult. Would love for it to be as updated as the 5e version.
Worth the price.
by FateLMstake on 2017/12/16 21:57
It works well and is truly worth the price, especially with the most recent update. I recommend this app to my players especially the newer ones as it helps to make sure that all of their numbers go to the right places.
Amazing help for a new player!
by devinbear on 2019/05/14 20:31
This app has made breaking into Pathfinder so painless! The ability to customize just about everything while still remaining super streamlined is worth far more that the $3 I paid not to see ads. Keep it up!
Pretty Good
by wwertghj on 2019/03/17 17:30
A nice character sheet app. Still could use some improvement but it functions. You have to pay to make more than one character at a time.
Love this app
by Grimstone1 on 2019/12/11 01:13
Amazingly well done. I have been using it for 3.5 for a few years now. I am hoping an update soon Also guys, please release a how to do manual. That would be an icing on the cake. Highly recommended!!! Support Lions Den.
Great app
by 8171362547 on 2018/12/28 20:25
I really like this app it’s super helpful the only thing I could ask for would be to put more races and classes other then that it is the best
Pretty good but with flaws
by Deruwyn on 2018/01/31 19:04
I like most of this but it has a couple issues. Deleveling doesn't remove skill points. Carrying weight just keeps going up, even after I removed all items and added them back.
Amazing! But...

This app is great for making characters for anything! D&D, RPG’s, Video Game ideas, etc., etc., etc. If you want to make more than 2, well, you have to buy the in-app purchase.

Need to update with pathfinder hybrid classes
by dekdekd on 2018/06/10 04:47
The app isn’t up to date with the hybrid classes for pathfinder, also there are races from the advanced race guide that aren’t in the app as well. Having those added would be greatly appreciated

Otherwise a nice app but not very good for spell casters.

by sexycat30 on 2019/12/05 14:07
Everyone who plays d&d should have this app handy.

Not bad!

The crash I was able to consistently recreate is when I try to change the damage die for the punching dagger.

by a-dark-day on 2018/08/16 02:40
I really enjoy using this app for the finer details of references- I'll usually jot down the gist of a fear or spell, then use the app to find the specifics.

It still needs some minor updates such as some of the other classes but other than that it’s doing good
Love this app

By far the best pathfinder app in the App Store. Really impressed
Pretty good

The new interface looks very nice and aesthetically pleasing, and I can't wait to make some more characters.

Decent
by Manitac on 2017/02/25 12:26
Pretty good character design app, my only real nitpick is when you add your own weapons class etc it's doesn't save them for later use. Also doesn't level your characters so you still have to look up the advancements level to level. Other than that it's pretty solid.
Fantastic, would be perfect if...
by jadenlife on 2017/02/11 22:54
Great app! Makes managing your character sheet and spells super convenient. If only it helped manage your leveling and was a little more clear with adding level or class stats as you progress through your adventure. Layout can be a little confusing, but it's much better than anything else I've found!
Fantastic
by Blongenecker on 2017/02/06 01:33
It does everything I could hope for.

Outstanding
by FR0GM4N on 2016/05/03 21:58
I am so glad that I paid the additional fee for the full unlock, because it is completely worth it.

Put back 20+ lvl classes

The app is fantastic for NPC and character management, but the recent update limited the level limit for classes to 20. I'm running a campaign where its semifinal boss is a lvl 24 paladin. I realize I could just modify its stats and leave a note for what level it is, but it would be a nice quality of life improvement if the level cap was gotten rid of or at least set to an unrealistically achievable number such as 99 or something if the sort.
Updates
by NerdRage4life on 2018/08/07 05:56
Would be a lot better if it did the auto calculation like the 5e version. does not change states when race is added.
Love this app
by Grimstone1 on 2019/12/11 01:13
Amazingly well done. I have been using it for 3.5 for a few years now. I am hoping an update soon Also guys, please release a how to do manual. That would be an icing on the cake. Highly recommended!!! Support Lions Den.
Great app
by 8171362547 on 2018/12/28 20:25
I really like this app it’s super helpful the only thing I could ask for would be to put more races and classes other then that it is the best
Pretty good but with flaws
by Deruwyn on 2018/01/31 19:04
I like most of this but it has a couple issues. Deleveling doesn't remove skill points. Carrying weight just keeps going up, even after I removed all items and added them back.
Amazing! But...
by TheNavinator001 on 2018/04/04 02:06
This app is great for making characters for anything! D&D, RPG’s, Video Game ideas, etc., etc., etc. If you want to make more than 2, well, you have to buy the in-app purchase.
🖖😝🤘💛🌟✨
by Boogabilliatae on 2019/12/05 18:06
Love it! I’ve been using it for years now & enjoy the ability to add own elements to any system! My favored class are psions and soul knives so that requires ingenuity & this apps permits that! 🔮
Spells
by Sleepingpiranha on 2019/10/22 12:55
I’ll admit, it I great, but. I cannot edit the spells to fix them. Because there is one major problem, all of the spells are 0 level, and because I cannot edit them appropriately, they are forced to stay at zero level.
Need to update with pathfinder hybrid classes
by dekdekd on 2018/06/10 04:47
The app isn’t up to date with the hybrid classes for pathfinder, also there are races from the advanced race guide that aren’t in the app as well. Having those added would be greatly appreciated
Very good but needs tweaks
by Tardis_Fox on 2018/01/24 22:05
I love this app very much! It still needs some minor updates such as some of the other classes but other than that it’s doing good
Not bad!
by Jakepec on 2019/05/03 15:08
Pretty great app but could definitely use some content updates. I’d like a way to auto track magical gear bonuses.
Great app
by TheLastHotBoy on 2018/12/16 09:14
Wold be better if it auto filled more stuff. You don’t even have warlock as a class in 3.5 Please keep updating. Roll dice...
Update broke the spells
by Bloodspoor on 2018/02/18 06:27
This is my go-to character sheet app for Pathfinder, but the recent updates have made all the wizard spells level 0. I have not seen an option to alter each spell’s levels.
Nice layout, not much content
by Irwinium on 2019/01/06 09:42
Downloaded this app to make an unchained rogue. There is currently no option to make any unchained characters. I am disappointed. The app is pretty. But I'm still disappointed.
Pretty good
by Suferdood on 2017/12/17 14:16
The new interface looks very nice and aesthetically pleasing, and I can't wait to make some more characters.
Expanded content
by Mr. @meric@ on 2020/01/29 22:24
Pretty useful. The developers should look into adding a Starfinder option for Pathfinder’s sci-fi variant
Base book info only?
by Anarchy Jake on 2018/04/16 04:45
They only have base players handbook for character creation. I went to make a monk character, and they don’t even include monk weapons. But, I can import info if I search forever online... seems sloppy.
Missing classes
by InsanityOctopus on 2018/02/03 06:21
Base classes are there, but core classes are missing. Please add!
Didn't end up working for me
by Ally33218 on 2018/02/24 03:04
So I was building a knight with the strong heart halfling race, and some of the custom modifiers I had to put in didn't work. Wasn't worth the effort in the end
Needs work
by StigsCousin on 2019/03/18 23:29
Duplicates, or won’t save information frequently.
Love this app
by Jaredjvus on 2018/01/14 01:36
By far the best pathfinder app in the App Store. Really impressed
Issues
by Pheznik on 2019/07/16 07:43
Can’t delete characters Can’t modify attacks to include things like weapon focus These are the things I found in just 20 mins.
Keep getting changed for the app
by Rellik1971 on 2018/11/16 13:05
Why am I getting charged $2.99 every few weeks for this app?
No Feats?
by Binarynova on 2018/12/09 23:00
Am I missing something or does the Pathfinder/3.5ed app not have Feats? Or Equipment? I really liked the 5th Ed app but I can’t see myself using this one at all.
It’s great!
