My feelings about the app
by bestieeli on 2020/10/25 00:57
Love it
$8 a week after free trial?? NO THANKS.
by gloomyguac on 2020/10/22 19:35
Look, I get it. People that work hard to develop an awesome app deserve to get paid for their efforts. I’ve used this app since 2013, and honestly could have sworn I paid a one-time premium fee a long long time ago (maybe to remove ads??), but maybe I just have that confused with something else. I would HAPPILY pay a one-time fee comparable to the cost of, you know, an actual physical guitar tuner. I’d maybe even pay a little extra because of the convenience of always having a tuner handy on my phone. But $8 a WEEK?? Are you crazy??? If I had been paying that fee the entire time I’ve used this app, I would have spent nearly $3,000 just to tune my guitar at home myself. And to the developers - please don’t bother responding to my review with your “oh but you don’t have to pay because we’ve got this free trial” nonsense. What are we expected to do after the free trial? PAY $8 A WEEK or never use the app again. *rolls eyes*
Cannot use basic tuner without trial or subscription.
by Drummer 4 Jah on 2020/10/22 10:15
The old free basic version was awesome and simple. You are no longer able to access it without “trying” their subscription. There is no option to proceed past a subscription trial page for the basic tuner. They’re hoping you don’t read the fine print or past the buzz words and get your money. Bummer.
Dope

Worked great and simple overall!
lol what happened
by Kaylamarie97 on 2020/10/09 03:31
Makes you pay $8 a week now, so I deleted the app. That’s a ton of money for a tuner.
Easy. Accurate. Love it!

Great app!
7$ weekly??!!!

Are you crazy ? For a tuner ?
Very easy!
by FitnessAndDietCoach on 2020/09/19 02:45
Never tuned in my life and the app worked great!
Subscription $8 weekly!??
by Thunderbird user on 2020/08/31 17:52
Used to be great app. Now requires subscription of $7.99 a week. That's over $400 per year! Sad. A very poor business plan.
Read reviews first
by tluxtele on 2020/08/30 18:18
Wish I would have read the reviews first. I was looking for a quick up to tune up a guitar. It looked free. It’s not. I wasn’t about to set up a subscription that they hope I forget to cancel to be able to use the app. I don’t mind paying someone for their work. But the way you’re trying to trick people is slimy. I backed out and downloaded a different app that let me tune my guitar up quickly. It’s a good app. I wouldn’t have found it without your help. Thanks for making me look a little harder. And developer, don’t worry about replying the same reply you’ve given to others. Not interested. I’ve moved on. Btw, first review I’ve ever written. Congratulations.
Developer ruined a great app
by loljag on 2020/08/28 02:57
This used to be a great app, one of my favorite music apps. Unfortunately, the developer recently added a subscription trial that is impossible to decline even if you only want to use the basic free version of the app. The only purpose I can see for this change is to take advantage of people who don’t understand that they have to cancel the trial or they will be billed $8 PER WEEK until they figure it out. I would be happy to pay a reasonable one-time fee for this app but nobody in their right mind is going to knowingly spend $400 per year for this. Absolutely dishonest.

Pretty easy to figure out
Misleading app
by guywithanoutoftuneguitar on 2020/08/06 21:11
This is a “free” app that requires users to make an in app subscription based purchase in order to tune their guitar.
Why money
by Madmaxgaming168 on 2020/08/04 19:29
I don’t want to spend money to tune a guitar that’s pretty stupid
Sad!
by live4musiic on 2020/08/03 03:28
I’ve been using this app for a while, and it’s now locked behind a pay wall. Not interested in a free trial followed by a subscription! And yes, I see the developers response to all these comments about the free trial. It used to be completely free for continuous use, not a trial. Deleted! :(
Ridiculous. I have been using this app for years and I am beyond disappointed
by jes🌊 on 2020/07/31 18:22
I have literally been using this app for YEARS and opened it the other day to see it is now completely locked behind a paywall of $8 PER WEEK??? You have got to be kidding me! Years ago this app allowed you to tune your guitar to so many different presets — free! Then they locked everything except standard tuning which I guess I can understand. THEN came the first paywall. You were asked to subscribe but you could click a little x in the corner to get off that screen and tune the guitar to the standard tuning. Now I open the app today and notice the x is gone. The app is UNUASBLE. I am sorry but literally no one will pay $8/WEEK to tune their guitar! I’m just going to delete this app and download a better one. I am so disappointed. I understand developers need to make money but could you not just put ads on the app? Pretty sad. I’m happy to watch a 30 sec ad to tune my guitar but NO ONE will pay $8 per week for a 1 minute tuning job. I will not be using this app ever again unless things go back to how they used to be. :-(
Got worse over time
by @Best Fiends Lover😍❤️ on 2020/07/29 20:19
I used to love this app to tune my ukuleles and guitars, but today when I tried to tune my ukulele it wouldn’t let me bypass the pop up for a subscription. I don’t want a subscription so I deleted the app. Won’t be recommending to people anymore!
Deleted
by sakeucho on 2020/07/24 17:38

i’m a bit sad :(
by this is fakeeee on 2020/07/23 18:49
I’ve used this app for years now, and I’ve loved it. But the app developers changed something and now I can’t use the app at all unless I want a three day free trial and then a subscription. Gotta go find a new tuning app now. We’ve had a good run, though!
Paywall
by Der petite on 2020/07/19 18:49
The app used to be a great free to use app with many useful features for the free version, I even purchased a subscription at one point or another but this is outright ridiculous! I open up the app to tune my 12 string and immediately promoted with an unclosable paywall that doesn’t let you do anything up pay or restore a subscription. No longer can you access the free to use features and instead are locked behind a paywall.
No longer free :(
by Diemnosaur on 2020/07/18 08:34
Dearest developer, How dare you require subscription to access acoustic tuning and chromatic tuning. As a loyal user of your app, I am sad and disappointed in this decision. Make better choices Gismart.
No more free version
by Kray_Kay on 2020/07/17 23:27
I used this app for years on the free tuner. I didn’t mind the ads, just tuned my guitar and went on with my life. But a while back there was an update that forced you to either do the free trial and then pay or pay at the start, free version is no longer an option. So I decided to get rid of the app. This was all about a year ago. I decided to give it another try today only to find they have not changed a thing. If you want people to pay for an app, then why don’t you just make the app cost money straight at purchase. Disappointed. And yes I know you can sign up for a free trial but that’s not the free version I used. I don’t want premium features I just want to tune my acoustic and move on.
Whoever is replying for the company is a moron and should be canned
by Patrick_Kane on 2020/07/17 06:04
Do you honestly think we don’t get what you’re doing? Oh yeah hurt durr just sign up for $8 a week. Hurt it’s only $420 a year. No one will notice. You just did this in the hopes someone not paying close enough attention. Like a little kid will say ok. And not understand to shut it off. Shame on you guys. Scammer scum.
Why?
by KyTheTransGuy on 2020/07/15 18:58
This used to be my favourite tuning app for my instruments. Now I can’t even use it without having to pay $8 a week. That’s insane. And I see them reply to other people about the “free trial period” and what not, but I don’t want to hear it. The tuning aspect used to be 100% free 100% of the time. This is ridiculous.
Unless you want to lose money don’t get this app
by isakerikp on 2020/07/15 12:06
I downloaded this as a free app that I used every time so picked up my guitar. It was great for making sure my guitar was tuned. Now they require a weekly subscription while still providing the same services. There are much better apps out there.
garbage trash disgusting piece of garbage
by skakskskdkfk on 2020/07/13 23:19
does not let you continue unless you pay. i hate this app so much
Disappointed
by shellpell14 on 2020/07/13 15:45
I used to use this app all the time and it was really great. I used the free version to tune my ukulele and it worked very well. Usually when you open the app it asks you if you want subscribe to the premium version which costs money, but up until now it has always given me the option to continue with the free version. Now when I open the app it won’t let me continue unless I sign up for a 3 day free trial. I don’t want a free trial, I don’t want to use the additional features, I just want to use the basic free version of this app but now you can’t use the app unless you give it permission to charge you money. It feels like such a scam and I’m very disappointed that I will have to switch to a different app. I wish this app would either give you the option to continue for free without the free trial that you would have to later unsubscribe from or just advertise that you have to pay to use this app.
No longer free
by GuyWhoLovesSU on 2020/07/12 20:59
What was once a free simple tuner, now requires a subscription to get past the door. I don't need a fancy app, just something to tune my ukulele. This is no longer that.
User friendly
by StudentDr on 2020/07/12 06:45
Good app for ad based. Works well, intuitive and user friendly. I would recommend.
The app is broken! Needs to be fixed
by Abbieeeeeeebrodzikkkk on 2020/07/11 06:47
I’ve had this app for years and even paid for the upgrade to get other tuning options. Now it says pay $7.99 a week to have the app and it keeps saying free trial. I can’t even use the app anymore.
Tries it’s hardest to FORCE you to upgrade
by nickname4areview on 2020/07/10 23:36
I’ve had the app for years and it worked well in the beginning but recently it opens with a typical “free trial for this upgrade... blah blah blah” BUT there is no option to exit and continue with the free tuner. You HAVE to get the free trial. I’m deleting and getting a different app.
$7.99 every week!
by gustferson on 2020/07/07 15:21
Requires a 3 day trial followed by $7.99/week
It was good
by adrickniqua on 2020/07/06 01:58
The app was great when it gave you the option to use it free now it saying I have to pay for a subscription.
Not free anymore....
by Wannabequeenie on 2020/07/05 13:28
I used to be able to use this for free. It was very reliable and all I did was open the app and use it. Now every time I open, it wants me to pay subscription... for a guitar tuner?? Sorry you lost a user.
Horrible
by DanCarFloIelLosRos on 2020/07/05 10:00
I loved this app in the beginning, it really did help me a lot, but now I can’t even access the app because it forces me to subscribe and start paying $7.99 a week! This is stupid I should have a choice whether I want to subscribe or not but no there is no other way around it. Fix your app!
Unfair
by Amabees on 2020/07/05 03:05
For a while, this app used to be free for all and you had the option to subscribe if you wish but were never forced to. Now, you can’t continue the app without either starting the free trial or immediately subscribing. The devs say that you can start the free trial and just cancel when you’re finished but that isn’t fair at all. Why have only a limited time to use this app for free when it was much better when we could use it for free at all times with only a few limitations and some ads here and there? And also still have people who’d like to subscribe as well? This is also unfair to many beginners who would like to use this app and can’t pay. How disappointing I used to adore this app. Please give us the option to use this for free again devs I’m begging you!
Thanks you jerks
by table356420 on 2020/07/04 02:06
I have been using this apps for a few years now and it's been amazingly great! Had an ad every once in a while but other than that small setback it was fine. I have a few guitars a uke a bass a violin and more I play a lot. I have a few tuners that I've purchased at music stores for only 5 bucks sometimes I'll pay 30 and if I found a real nice one someday I may spend 80-100 but anyways tuners are pretty cheap and work quite well. I have been very pleased with this app even though I don't use it much UNTIL RECENTLY! Obviously someone was think out of their butt because some lunatic most likely high on drugs thought it would be a good idea to make the app only usable to paid users. Do you realize that one of the most steady downloaded apps is minecraft and you can do a lot more with that then this app and it's a one time pay at 30 bucks and has 7.99PER MONTH for realms and that's an option. You idiots are asking 7.99 a week which if I'm doing my math right... That's more expensive than buying minecraft once a month or 4X the price of a realms subscription. I'd rather buy a new tuner from a music shop everytime I have to tune up because it really isn't all that often. If you had a 1 time pay to remove ads for .99 like other apps more people would likely buy it. I'd even remove ads for 10 bucks but you guys are just a bunch of bandits. I could buy a new guitar or a new amp at the end of a year for what you're asking for. It's plain stupid! It's a tuner app not a freaking cleans your backside automatically when you get off the toilet type thing. When you finish looking for ideas get your head out of your buttocks get in contact with me somehow I'd love to tell you more or give you ideas to further dumb down your app. Here's a freebie how about every time you open it you also have to pay a dollar and every time when tuning for each time you pluck a string it's 10 cents and every time you tune it'll be 50 cents. The possibilities are endless. 1 Star is too considerate, so here 💩💩💩💩💩
What happened?
by sir salterino on 2020/07/03 15:27
I was using the app fine for years and now I won’t let me continue without paying? 1 Star and uninstall for this app. No more ad rev from me.
Are you freaking kidding me?
by nettles89 on 2020/07/03 03:00
I have used this app for years. It was a pretty good app. I liked that it gave me such precise feedback and allowed me fine-tune so effectively. I put up with an ad, it let me use its basic features for free, it was a good symbiotic relationship. If they’d offered it as-free for a few bucks, I’d have gladly paid it. If they’d updated it in a way that extorted a few bucks from me, I’d have grumpily paid it and continued to enjoy using the app. Instead, they issue an innocuous “update” that completely locks it away unless you sign up for an $8/wk subscription? Not $8—$8 per week. Are you freaking kidding me? It went from free, to $416 a year? What kind of blithering nitwit would pay that, for any app? I am stupefied at the sheer audacity. Fine, I’ll go pay another developer a reasonable, or even an exorbitant price, for their tuner app. I cannot even process the hubris required to pull this stunt.

Was good now there’s a paywall
by skeepbeep on 2020/07/01 02:38

by Gifarhue on 2020/06/17 15:56
Dishonest business practice! Charged unknowingly over a year after removal from all devices. Developer needs to contact me asap for cancellation and refund. Apple needs a better way to cancel subscriptions than relying solely on developer. Extremely disappointed and agitated.

The chromatic really allows you to fine tune down to cents if you like to compensate for a guitar's idiosyncrasies e.g. James Taylor's suggestions: James Tayor Tuning E- 12 A -10 D -8 G -4 B -6 E -3

Works great. Requires a little musical knowledge but works better than other tuner apps I’ve used.
I recommend this app

It is really good and it is pretty easy to use

I really like this have the only thing wrong is sometimes I have to tune it a few times to get it exactly right

This is the best tuner I’ve tried in a app

Bait and switch /subscription app is NOT FREE
by dd29mom on 2020/01/04 21:43
Immediately tried to force subscription at 7.99 a month. I can buy a physical tuner for less than that and keep it for years. Ridiculous price unless it physically tunes my instrument for me. Can’t stand a bait and switch.
Best tuning app!
by Franklin Juice Co. on 2020/01/04 18:40
Most consistent by far
Wonderful! Just no left handed mode.
by Emma Playz on 2020/01/04 13:17
I’m satisfied with this tuner. Super easy to use, my only small problem is they don’t have a setting to switch the strings around if you’re a left handed player.
Really?
by Drummerthe1st on 2018/02/18 06:19
Are you kidding me? Now there's a stupid subscription that costs a lot more money than before?! This is especially stupid since I did pay for the whole package and now everything is locked because of the new update. Thanks a lot, IDIOTS! Waste of money!! Edit: ok sorry for the harsh words. I forgot there was a restore purchases button which restores what I payed for. I'm really sorry for the bad review before.
Ridiculous. Also I’m salty.
by Awesomepal on 2018/09/14 01:01
This ridiculous, for lack of a clean word to use that truly shows how ticked I am, app refused to let me bypass their intro without subscribing to their premium “trial”. The “trial” automatically begins drawing money after it is over and is darn (again, lack of a word) near impossible to turn off. How do I know? My second plan after closing out the app and clicking back on it again (The intro only appeared again) was to sign up for their subscription and immediately cancel. The instructions say you can close it out through iTunes. Okay, 1. iTunes is an incredibly hard platform to manage, as anyone without a computer science degree who has spent five minutes trying to work the thing out will agree with. and 2. This is an APP. iTunes is for music! That’s why it had “Tunes” in the name! And lastly, I DON’T HAVE ANY MONEY TO PUT ON MY CARD TO EVEN SIGN UP FOR THE THING! I’M DOWNLOADING A FREE GUITAR TUNER APP, DO YOU THINK IM ROLLING IN DOUGH HERE? ALSO, THE PREMIUM FEATURE IS $8.00? Seriously, this app is ridiculous. Maybe if they got rid of this marketing scam at the beginning of the app I would be able to actually see the rest of it, including the actual tuner portion. DON’T BUY UNTIL THIS SCAM IS OVER.
Does exactly what it says on the tin
by Kolys37 on 2018/02/19 18:19
It's a guitar (and ukulele) tuner. Whether you need a reference tone, a chromatic tuner, or to tune to a standard or common tuning for the instrument, this app gets it done. Nice UI, very intuitive. The only reason I'm giving it four stars rather than five is that if it could also handle bass, mandolin, banjo, bouzouki and other stringed instruments in the same way as it handles guitar and uke - or if it allowed me to create a custom tuning of my own in order to mock up the mandolin or banjo - it would fit my needs perfectly. UPDATE: since my initial review, 12-string guitar and 4- and 5-string bass have been added, and this app has absolutely become my go-to for tuning, and I’m bumping it up to five stars for that. If the mandolin and banjo could be next, it would be absolutely perfect.
Perfect simple tuner
by FolleseGaskarth on 2017/12/26 17:59
I downloaded this app probably close to a year ago and didn’t like it as much then. The ads were very annoying and I found it difficult to figure out how to set up the tuning for either other instruments or keys. I used the app again today after months of not and I’m very glad I kept it around. All I had to do was open it and start plucking my strings. It lets you know when your string is in tune and prompts you to move on to the next one until you are finished. It’s simple, easy to interact with, and most importantly, free. It’s a perfect tool for those of us who carry their phone more often than a tuner. (P.S., the app now offers tunings in different keys and for different instruments including ukulele, bass, and 12 stringed guitars)
Frustrating
by Boo boo 🤗🍀 on 2019/01/06 21:16
If I could give you less then a star I would, this app hasn’t changed they make you click premium to use the app and then you have to go through the whole mess of unsubscribing to them and they should just have the option in the app to cancel it and its completely ridiculous. I won’t be using this app till one of you people get your act together and stop scamming people. Also ! They make you pay for things and they don’t tell you it cost anything you’ll just get a thing from Apple saying you didn’t pay them yet ... well excuse me I thought the app was free but I guess you can’t use anything in the app without paying absolutely ridiculous. Don’t buy the app because it’s free it ends up costing more then just buying one of the other apps that cost something. Sorry guys but you screwed up on this one ...
I got tricked.
by Raycharleszard on 2019/04/29 20:03
I downloaded this app one night. Figured it’s free so whatever, I don’t play guitar at all but I have one and wanted to mess around with it. I signed up for what I thought was a weekly trial, I knew I would just unsubscribe soon anyways. I thought I did just that and never thought about it again. Until today, nearly 7 months later. I was just checking my iTunes payment history, even though I never purchase apps or do in app purchases. And what is this? I HAVE BEEN GETTING CHARGED WEEKLY FOR 7 MONTHS. Now I take responsibility for not watching my bank account closer or my iTunes charges closer, but seriously, make this more user friendly, if I download a free app, make it free. Make it clear what I’m getting or not getting. Make it clear if I’m paying, or not paying. Like this app hasn’t even been on my phone for seven months.
A stupid trick...
by Rafael6135 on 2018/03/06 19:56
When we read “GET”, we think it’s free. Many tuner apps are free. Then, when have downloaded it we discover that what we “GET” is a subscription not free. Of course the subscription is mention in the Apple store, but we are not told that without it we can’t either try it. What we are asked to try is the subscription. Sorry, that was a trick I didn’t like. I deleted your app and will never know why you say it’s the best. I have bought many tuners, apps and not apps that you put on your guitar or in front of it etc. It was always very simple and clear. Other apps let you choose between free light version with tons of apps and a paying full version without adds. When we like the free app, we always buy the full version. That subscription system looks like more of a money trap. Good luck!
Unfair
by Amabees on 2020/07/05 03:05
For a while, this app used to be free for all and you had the option to subscribe if you wish but were never forced to.
Fraudulent failure
by enriquemontaban on 2018/08/23 22:04
It tricks you into signing up for a monthly payment (for a *tuner*!) when you think you are getting a free version. It looks like two different buttons but it’s not. It’s only free for a week. Then it bills iTunes. I only figured it out because I paid extra attention and was suspicious. It’s kind of a pain to cancel the iTunes subscription, you have to google it. Of course, that’s Apple’s fault. (The most non-obvious thing is clicking ON your actual Apple ID in Settings.) Best part is they fill the screen that comes up when you finally find the Mange Subscriptions window with redundant choices in order to push the cancel button below the fold and hide it. It’s down there. If this is how this company makes money, stay far away.
No more free version
by Kray_Kay on 2020/07/17 23:27
I used this app for years on the free tuner.
BS pricing change
by Awesomeguy1235 on 2018/09/10 08:55
The most recent update included “under the hood improvements” but really meant “an attempt to take more money.” When I initially downloaded the app, everything on it was free. Then after a while they changed it to a one time purchase to unlock all tunings and instruments. I paid that one time fee, and it worked amazingly. Now I don’t even know how well it works, as it is trying to force me to pay $7.99 a week just to use it for basic tunings! I uninstalled it immediately. I personally expect the team behind this train wreck to up the price even more in the coming months. Not worth the time or money.
Great, with different tunings too!
by jazzmurph on 2018/05/29 18:40
This tuner app is amazing because it has so many different tunings already programmed. It is very easy to set up your guitar when you’re trying to change to a different tuning. I also love that it gives the Hz both where you are and where you need to be. You can make fine adjustments accordingly and not overshoot your desired string pitch.
Great App!
by SUNSHINEANLOLLYPOPS on 2018/06/22 22:40
I got this app after trying three others to tune my ukulele, and all of them didn’t help at all. They wanted to guess the string I was playing, so I wasn’t able to find the perfect note. This app had an option to turn off the auto so I was able to tune each string perfectly. When I got done, which didn’t take long at all, it sounded great!
Be careful....
by Booby's Sis on 2018/06/21 23:32
I have been using the app for about 6 months. Then one day I go to use it and it will not let me use it without signing up for a trial period and then a $7.99 monthly fee. I can appreciate that these people would like to make money. But I would rather they just say outright that they are going to start charging and I can either start paying or stop using it. Unethical business practices. I am speaking with iTunes on how to delete this app as it is still listed under my subscriptions on my phone. There are too many other tuner apps. Be careful.
Duped
by Celtarose on 2018/08/17 02:40
I had this app for about a year, and have really enjoyed using it to keep my uke, guitar, and harp in tip-top shape...until now. All of a sudden, it makes me subscribe to continue using it for nearly $8 per week. Not month, but week. And shame on iTunes for not making that clear to future users—they make it seem like it’s still free, and not a pricey weekly subscription. I understand that the companies and developers that create these apps need to get some financial reimbursement for the services they provide, but to pull the wool over the users eyes like this is ridiculous.
Intuitive
by ColotradoRon on 2018/08/17 23:33
The interface is not immediately helpful. But the app is so well-designed that it only took me about 30 seconds to figure out how to tune my ukulele. I’m sure it’s going to come in very handy in the future. Keep in mind that you will have to tune your guitar in a relatively quiet environment. But it appears to be very accurate.
Weekly Subscription?? Way overpriced!!
by Freddy225vb on 2018/08/12 14:28
I have had this app for quite some time and it’s been great. I open it today and it now wants $7.99 a week for a subscription!! Why would I pay that every week when I could just go buy a tuner for $20. That’s a ridiculous price when there are plenty of other tuner apps out there. Do the math at 52 weeks a year and that’s over $400!!! Why would anyone pay that?? I can buy an amp with a built in tuner for that price and keep it for years. Good app when it was free, but not paying $400 a year for a tuner.
Not really free, do not download!
by manders0752 on 2018/08/20 16:31
I downloaded this app about a week ago with a two week free trial. While the app itself is great, the price is not justified. They want to charge you a weekly fee to use the app of over $7!!! What a rip-off. I made the mistake of accepting the terms for the two week trial, and now I am struggling to figure out how to cancel my subscription before I am charged. My advice--avoid the hassle all together and purchase a tuner for $15 at the store. You will get more for your money and save yourself the hassle.
Works well
by GergiespaceP on 2018/09/07 20:10
I have a ukulele and a guitar, and I use the iPhone se, this is an amazing app. It works with the microphone, has an easy to use and understand interface, and I’m just all around pleased with it. I don’t write reviews, either, even for stuff I enjoy, so that should speak for itself.
Love it
by lil liz 124 on 2018/06/06 17:46
I am a beginner in trying guitar and my guitar has a made in tuner. Sadly I couldn’t work it and I didn’t know if the guitar was actually tuned, I’m really glad I downloaded this and it only took me at least 15 min to tune my whole guitar compared to the hour and a half I tried with my built in tuner!
First Timer
by Kayla+Friends on 2020/04/10 01:36
As a first time ukulele user, I was having difficulty in tuning, and I was having trouble finding out the right pitch for my ukulele since it’s a soprano ukulele, and none of the apps that I had gotten had that right ukulele, so I was really happy with being able to tune my ukulele :)!
Useful but annoying.
by Perktimus on 2018/10/21 18:37
The different tunings and instruments are great! When you have tuned all the strings, a loud sound and “congrats!!!!!1!!!” screen appear, which is actually kind if annoying, because sometimes you want to go back and fine-tune strings. What is considered in tune by the app can be quite noticably off.
You CAN teach an old dog new tricks!

The last time I even thought about music notes was in middle school. I was given a recorder and didn’t find a connection with it. Picked up my first instrument tonight! Tuned up and ready for page 7 of what musical symbols mean....thanks for a great app!
PERFECT

so at our school we have a talent show and my friends and I decided to sing riptide while I played the ukulele. One day my ukulele was untuned. We tried every app for tuning ukuleles but none worked. Until we found this. It works exactly how it says it will. It is the best tuner app.
Buyer beware
by (I want my) Nickelback on 2019/06/09 20:15
While the free app is tolerable, the flaw is in the fine print. If you aren't incredibly careful, you'll end up auto-subscribing to this without otherwise giving consent. This is likely by design as I was approximately $40 deep in this before I realized what was going on...easy cash for the developer. If you do not know you've auto-subscribed, you have no reason to be on the look-out for the additional charge.
Really accurate!
by Rocking112 on 2018/02/17 15:18
Compared with other tuners app this one is the most accurate plus even with some noise in the room this tuner still captured the sound of my electric guitar without even been plug to my amp. I will recommend this tuner app to all my friends!
Easy to tune
by Cool gunz on 2018/09/28 15:43
If you are having trouble in the beginning, Don’t worry instead of clicking subscribe read the paragraph above it and it says or continue with limited version click that.
Another great app
by Hiavd on 2019/07/02 03:28
You guys are saints to be giving out such incredible music resources in the free versions of your apps. Nowhere else can I find a chromatic tuner and presets for alt-tunings. Along with games and other things that make the app a complete package. I'm blown away by this company.
AMAZING
by Concernedmotherofallchildren on 2018/07/19 20:08
I use this app to tune my uke all the time. How it works: it accesses the mic and let’s you know if you should tighten or loosen to tune and then tells you when it’s in tune. So simple! It also doesn’t charge you anything either, what a great service!
If I could choose “0” I would
by unhappy bass player on 2018/12/20 02:50
I signed up for the free trial and didn’t enjoy this app. I went to my settings and canceled the trial subscription only to receive a charge on my account today. Been trying to reach support ever since. Very frustrated with the trial subscription policy and the fact you didn’t adhere to the cancelation process within the less than 1 week timeframe. Won’t be telling my music friends or any others about this app.
Excellent Tuner

Paywall
by Der petite on 2020/07/19 18:49
The app used to be a great free to use app with many useful features for the free version, I even purchased a subscription at one point or another but this is outright ridiculous! I open up the app to tune my 12 string and immediately promoted with an unclosable paywall that doesn’t let you do anything up pay or restore a subscription. No longer can you access the free to use features and instead are locked behind a paywall.
Extremely disappointed
by firejake74 on 2018/08/31 21:39
I have used this app for the past two years and I loved it. I get on it after the update and now I have to pay to get tunings. This is a terrible mistake by you guys because I was very impressed with how well it turned my guitars but you will no longer have my service. You guys have just lost a loyal customer due to something as stupid as making people pay this much for things that used to be free.
Best app EVER

Free app... yeah right
by Mactizz on 2018/03/08 19:07
When you download the app, it says it's free, however once you open it, it will not let you run it until you try their "Premium" feature. It starts as a free trial, but after a week you would have to pay $7.99. It says on the add for the premium trial that you can cancel in the settings at anytime, however, when you actually go to the settings, there is no option to do so. It's a total scam.
Easy to use!

Only on the limited version, but as a person who is new to tuning string instruments this is the easiest app I have found to work with and understand! Thanks!
SCAM-Don’t Download
by Ey Big Mike on 2019/04/03 20:09
I downloaded this app because it is falsely advertised as “FREE” when in fact, they end up charging you automatically through Apple Pay. Now I get to embark on the joyous process of calling my credit card company and trying to reverse these charges. It’s a garbage app to begin with, I’m sure their rating will drop drastically once everyone who has downloaded their app finds about about how they are being charged.
Used to love this app, now can’t even use it...
by Jcald008 on 2018/09/07 03:06
I have had this app and used it for 1-2 years, and I loved it. However, I just pulled out my ukulele and opened the app to tune it and was met with a pay wall, $7.99 a week! It is a complete ripoff and I am on my way to find another tuner app! I used to recommend it to family and friends but will be sure to let them know they should delete the app and find another!
Bummer.
Something good turned bad
by Freakazoid0310 on 2017/10/10 01:58
This was an excellent tuner until the update, making people pay for something you were good at was a bad move, i recommended the app to many of my fellow musicians friends and now it’s simply bad, i hope you can bring back the same tuner, lots of amazing things were achieved by using your previous version, too bad you had to change it.

Easy. Accurate. Love it!
by Caligirlluvsachallenge on 2020/09/26 18:43
Great app!
7$ weekly??!!!
by Mitekkk on 2020/09/20 14:13
Are you crazy ?
Tune ukulele

Deleted
by sakeucho on 2020/07/24 17:38
Deleted. Not interested in a free trial for a premium content subscription.
i’m a bit sad :(
by this is fakeeee on 2020/07/23 18:49
I’ve used this app for years now, and I’ve loved it.
I cannot even process the hubris required to pull this stunt.

by jeezy c on 2020/07/01 02:49
This is the second time you guys have made your subscription screen impossible to move past. I was able to forgive the first time since you fixed it quickly but this is too much. I’ll reinstall once it’s fixed.
Was good now there’s a paywall
by skeepbeep on 2020/07/01 02:38
Used to be a decent app. New paywall makes it very easy to accidentally subscribe (why would I subscribe) to their paid service. On to the next tuner app.

by Gifarhue on 2020/06/17 15:56
Dishonest business practice! Charged unknowingly over a year after removal from all devices. Developer needs to contact me asap for cancellation and refund. Apple needs a better way to cancel subscriptions than relying solely on developer. Extremely disappointed and agitated.

by niooooiijj on 2020/06/10 04:19
$8 a week auto-subscription for this app. Massive waste of money. Go buy a tuner for 10 bucks at your local music store; or use a free app. Don’t let them charge you $200/ yr for this garbage

The chromatic really allows you to fine tune down to cents if you like to compensate for a guitar's idiosyncrasies e.g. James Taylor's suggestions: James Tayor Tuning E- 12 A -10 D -8 G -4 B -6 E -3

The app was working great for years (with ads). Now the new subscription system is a bit dodgy to say the least. It was a great app but now there are much better options out there. Thanks for the previous years of use but now I just have to delete.
Great App - Ukulele Tuner
by Stunk Punk on 2020/01/23 02:45
Works great. Requires a little musical knowledge but works better than other tuner apps I’ve used.
I recommend this app

It is really good and it is pretty easy to use

I really like this have the only thing wrong is sometimes I have to tune it a few times to get it exactly right

Frustrating
by Boo boo 🤗🍀 on 2019/01/06 21:16
If I could give you less then a star I would, this app hasn’t changed they make you click premium to use the app and then you have to go through the whole mess of unsubscribing to them and they should just have the option in the app to cancel it and its completely ridiculous.
No more free version
by Kray_Kay on 2020/07/17 23:27
I used this app for years on the free tuner.
