Task Drawer for Mobile!
by theredcrane on 2019/05/16 10:25
Please please please add task drawer for mobile devices! Would love to see these builds as well: - task drawer calendar (so helpful for workload planning) - a view to ALL tasks open for open projects that can be filtered by person/due date. Thank you!
Great for a Book list
by Road4pples on 2019/05/12 19:56
It is great for spread sheet of the books that I have read. The only problems is in printing it the type is to small to read. Also have problems with it shutting down when entering a book I have read..

Best document collaboration app
by darmok on 2019/05/09 12:23
Replaced Evernote for notes and Google Drive for collaboration Strengths • Best doc collaboration app - feed of doc comments or Inbox is evolution above competition • Project management by tagging task owners in their respective to-do and adding a date • Tasks Due generate a Reminder the day before and every day after until the task is marked complete • Spreadsheet and To-do documents can be integrated into docs, other cloud platforms only allow tables, not true spreadsheet integration • Easiest to use, especially for the inexperienced Weaknesses • Lack of Parity app with Desktop features - there are plenty of great features available in the desktop browser missing from iOS apps: SEARCH WITHIN DOC, keyboard shortcuts, spreadsheet filter, spreadsheet validation, alignment, picture pasting in cells, picture selection (makes deletion difficult is there is no space after an image), and more. • No Search within doc really undermines large document collaboration. Search is available at the site level across all docs, but does not take you to the specific point in a document you need to find. Most major doc editors take you to the term you searched for or allow search within docs. • Spreadsheet column titles do not import - copy pasting is a hassle. Discourages quip adoption • Sorting of documents in app is a key weakness. You can put things in folders, but no option to arrange manually in app. You can do this with desktop browser. This can really hamper your workflow and prioritizing as you place more information in Quip. • Pasted words not spell checked. The app should automatically spell check the entire page. Until this is resolved, there should be a manual option to spell check doc. Opportunities • Master Task List - (Thanks you so much for improving the Spreadsheet and Checklist feature to manage projects!) It would be great to have a Master Task or Project List feature. There all the spreadsheets or checklists which have a due date active have all the tasks with due dates listed in the Master Task List (MTL). If a checklist has a date that date chould appear as a column in the MTL. The spreadsheet name or the header just above the checklist can serve as a Project column. Projects could even show their folder directory to allow for sub projects. Ideally, if a hashtag is included in the spreadsheet or checklist row, that will also be included in a hashtag column in the MTL. This would then allow for filters and sorting in this view by task owner, due date, project, hashtag. If you then allowed smart filters, this would allow personal as project oversight. If the to-do functions were made iCal compatibl, then you could sync Quip projects into your Google Calendar and other calendar tools. The reason why this is needed is that as teams use Quip more and more for projectivity, the greater the risk that to-do items in various docs and spreadsheets will get missed. Filtering out to-dos from all the docs and spreadsheets in Quip would be a great step forward in project management. Why 5 Star if there is opportunity for improvement? Because I'm comparing it to other collaborative tools and it spanks them all (e.g. Google Drive, Apple iWork, Box Notes, Bitrix24, Freedbase, etc.) in terms of a vision of how humans will collaborate in the future. It's the document stupid.
Used to be a good app and responsive organization
by QRguy on 2019/05/07 05:38
Since being acquired by Salesforce, the app and its support have been on a decline. Things simply don’t work on iOS devices and requests to fix them are ignored. I grew to depend on Quip for my cross-platform work. I can’t rely on it any longer.
Perfect except for dark mode
by miphol on 2019/05/01 03:49
Please polish iPhone app a bit with dark mode, otherwise everything is perfect as it is right now
Like it but want more security

Fantastic
by penguin12346795 on 2019/04/26 14:42
5 stars! 😄 The app has constant improvements and plus it is on a cloud! My school device will be different next year but I’m happy to know that all of my work will transfer. Although sometimes the transfer to word cuts off words it is without a doubt excellent! Keep it up quip!
Great app
by R.c.r on 2019/04/23 01:35
Love everything about this app. I wish it was Apple Pencil compatible. Then it would be perfect.
Way too expensive for what is a sloppy project management tool
by SfFan68 on 2019/04/18 18:42
For what is a glorified folder in google docs, this is way too expensive for me to take seriously
Great for collaborating
by *heatkins* on 2019/04/16 15:04

Not accessible for blind users

This app isn’t accessible for blind users that uses voiceover… There isn’t a accessibility mode anywhere in the settings on the app…

Great app
by Hundredy on 2019/03/18 16:53
I use this app for coordinating all sorts of projects and activities. I can’t believe how much this little app has boosted our productivity. One thing I would request is more spreadsheet functions common to office spreadsheet software. Little conveniences like borders for the cells.

Day 1- I'm pretty excited
by DrGtrumpet on 2019/03/11 01:26
Ease of use on day one was stellar. FYI... I am starting off on my iPad Pro. The first documents created and imported were effortless and based on my needs looks to be perfect to pair with my paper and pencil Panda Planner. I have been using several apps but am looking to streamline productivity as a freelancer, for various professional and Personal projects and areas of life.
Disappointing.
by m_greenberg on 2019/03/07 16:52
It's truly a shame how poorly this app works. Every few days the app's interface vanishes, leaving only a white screen. Force-closing the app and reopening doesn't solve the problem; only deleting it and reinstalling it restores normal functionality. On top of that (and more importantly) the feature parity between desktop and mobile Quip is severely lacking, even on the 12.9" iPad Pro, to the extent that getting many common things done is very tough. Unless you are mostly reading documents rather than creating or revising them, you will probably run into trouble at one point or another.
Quip is awesome

“Select all” feature is broken
by Reader1718 on 2019/02/28 13:37
“select all” has turned into “select none” on iOS, which is enormously unhelpful. Please fix this. It’s incredibly annoying. 🤬😡👎🏻
So buggy it's too hard to use
by Hagen 321 on 2019/02/17 23:52
General text editing is fine, but when it comes to tables or really anything else except for text it's a nightmare. Table formatting gets corrupted whenever you visit a cell from your iOS quip app. There's no way to undo. And typing at the bottom of a dock has issues where the view scroll position is too high so you can't see what you're typing because the keyboard is over the content. On top of all this, no custom keyboards are enabled so you're stuck without shape writing which is how I'm writing this review so quickly. Overall just a really big pain to use quip. Wish the team would pay attention to it's quality more.
Great product but crashes too much

Great idea but app constantly crashes in iOS

Slow
by Noelpigpig on 2019/02/06 17:41
Slow functionality. Page jumps around. The concept is great, but my employees are getting very frustrating because the app bounces around from pages. Using a Samsung tablet and galaxy phone
Needs all features.
by bubbagump00 on 2019/01/31 18:29
Needs all desktop features like inserting live apps! Other than that it is very nice.
Text falling below keyboard
by OIBG on 2019/01/29 22:25
Used quip for years, recent updates have the keyboard popping up over text on mobile devices. This needs to get fixed ASAP
Please make a custom iPad app
by Good TX on 2019/01/21 19:42
Quip is the best thing since sliced bread. My team is on it and we’re adding more people as the months continue on. Please make a custom iPad app that provides the same functionalities as the desktop version. Our iPads are having to use the mobile app version and we are very limited and are having to use it in Chrome which is still limited. After that you all will take over any productivity program out there...period! Cheers!
Game changer

Top three of my 50+ apps
by Lagrive333 on 2019/01/18 20:57
In no order. The following are my all time favorite apps Quip WAZE Puffin Box Moment Case Keeper What makes Quip so special is the seamless ability to make boxed check off lists, highlight entries, add photos to lists etc. There is no end. Also it's a pleasure when you email the company and they get back to you in a VERY reasonable amount of time. 5/21/2016: what a pleasure to finally see a support group that is so professional and immediately responds to the consumer. Every update adds something essential. Still in my top three of my MANY APPS. 7/4/2016 Just gets better with each update. 8/1/2016: use it everyday. On par with WAZE,Box, Google. Actually couldn't get through the day without it. Just touched it's many functions. 9/7/2016: Just looked over my 220+ apps and picked my top 5 Quip/WAZE/Box/Office Lens/Keeper What more can I say. For my wife and I it's perfect. Haven't touched it's many attributes. 3-1/2017d still on top of my 220 apps. Does everything and more and very easily. 4/16/2017 How's this for my top group in order WAZE Quip *** Box Pages Puffin Screenshot 1/18/2019: can’t and won’t live without it. All of the above.
Why do they always screw it up on the updates?!
by BrendanVincent on 2019/01/15 18:04
I mean, I loved using the app - convenient, JUST WORKED. Now I’m getting all sorts of issues: Strange/delayed response after switching apps; the text falling below the keyboard so you can’t see what you’re typing, slow react time.
Single sign on stopped working

Not perfect but one of the better collaboration tools
by Bob B. Q on 2019/01/09 02:25
The app interface is a bit rigid and clunky at times, but it offers an overall solid way for my team to collaborate. Between the iOS and macOS apps, we always have access to our shared project documents.
Very Helpful

Great app! This app help me run my business efficiently!
Productivity App
by 2020 Fitness on 2018/12/16 21:57
Single best productivity app ever. Must have if you run or are on a team and want to eliminate email and actually get something done.
Amazing Product focused on collaboration
by Prasad Guuduru on 2018/12/16 04:07
You looking for making team members more collaborative across chat, group, documents, presentations? No doubt none of the collaborative tools can beat quip.
How did I collaborate before quip?
by Bhavit D on 2018/12/11 21:48
Quip is the most powerful collaboration tool that I have used. The simplicity of quit and the ability to work jointly on a document and the introduction of smart apps makes quip extremely powerful. The ability to have the same experience on the desktop and on a mobile device has made it my choice of go to app to work with for note taking, planning, collaboration, and communication.
Great idea but could be better
by stanlykbs on 2018/12/11 02:08
How organization was looking for a tool for collaboration that would help simplify things. Will use Google drive and other tools, but to be frank, the mess and spiderweb of files has become overwhelming it is increasingly difficult to manage. We looked at Quip as a possible solution to help us to manage collaboration any more simple and streamlined way. Quit passes benefits and we continue to use Quip as a tool. It makes things a lot easier than working in Google and having to open multiple types of files and documents. You can use it on the web you can use a clients on your computer on Mac and you can use it on an iPhone or tablet. It’s very simple and straightforward. However, Quip does have a lot of quirks and limitations that you need to work around them through. Sharing files with people outside of your organization is not possible. Documents or files that you create within quip are absolutely not ready for sharing with people outside your organization because of issues like formatting. In general there’s a lot of opportunity to improve quip from the user experience standpoint and from a functionality perspective as well. The only question is how does quip achieve all of this without becoming big in burdensome such as Evernote.
No undo for iPad

Why?
IOS Quip Missing Functionality
by TJKCoach on 2018/12/06 18:33
Missing too many of the functions and capabilities that exist the Mac application. Simple things like being able to re-order the favorites list.
Evernote Killer
by AFoster1 on 2018/12/06 03:36
Literally better than anything out there. I was a convert from Evernote (after almost four years). Literally the second I saw a colleague using Quip I was done with Evernote. This is also my first app review because really, who writes reviews?
Good cloud collaboration app but needs improvements
by dreweastmead on 2018/11/27 22:28
Quip is faster and more efficient with mobile file editing than Google Drive or Dropbox. Suggestions I’ve been waiting ~3 years for: - list a user’s files in SOME kind of logical order: alpha, chrono, or user’s choice. - allow users to delete chats (I have 1 whom I’ve never chatted with and I have no idea who it is; can’t remove) - allow users to hide a file’s conversation tab by default if they choose to - let users log in on the desktop site with one click, not 3 separate steps.
Swiping causing crashing
by andtrapp on 2018/11/19 13:11
App continuously is crashing on latest iOS 12 release upon swiping back. Unable to access any folders or other files than the default file upon opening as a result.
Buggy on ipad
by Nate3383 on 2018/11/19 04:09
App crashes constantly. Buggy, doesn’t sync well - prevents parts of documents from being edited. Things you thought were deleted reappear.

Please add a search feature!
by Yuppimpmobile on 2018/10/24 13:54
ADD A SEARCH FEATURE IN DOCUMENT Moving documents and folders around by tap and drag would be a useful addition as well.
So happy
by clairesweet1 on 2018/10/20 13:39
This makes work documents easy to use and organize. Also great for personal like scheduling and wedding planning. Don’t know what i would do without quip!
Terrible Log In
by TMA11112222 on 2018/10/18 22:44
Log In and Sign up are in the same form??? Couldn’t remember which email address I used to sign up and ended up creating multiple new accounts just trying to sign into my account. What a terrible interface. Don’t like being tricked into creating an account. I still don’t know which email address I used on my original account.
Feature parity needed.
by Chi town 2 on 2018/10/12 00:27
Great for collaboration! Spreadsheets need feature parity with Xcel. Documents need feature parity with Word. Needs tighter integration with Salesforce, as notes are moving to quip instead of being in Salesforce

Lifesaver
by Dollfacepage on 2018/09/27 20:36
I’m unable to compare this to many other apps like it, but I have tried a few others. Reasons I personally like this: it’s reliable. I have all of my lists, goals, writing and projects here and I have no fear of it failing me. Other apps gave me anxiety and would lose information, this is solid and backs up immediately to my computer so even if my phone tanks it’s safe. Also, I make color coated calendars and schedules here for myself and work right at my fingertips. I was able to work on my staff schedule on the plane on my phone, then immediately send it to my staff upon landing. I can arrange things into neat folders, and check things off with their check list option which shows me my progress. Thank you for this wonderful app! Please don’t change it.
Great, but could use a design refresh

Vague tutorial. Too easy to delete parts of check of list
by ArthurCon on 2018/09/22 19:01
I managed to delete parts of the check off list. In my opinion that shouldn’t be an option- check only. YouTube video made me nauseous thinking about the days when I was forced to sit and listen to upper management promote their newest greatest ideas. Just looking at the faces in the audience made me feel as if they were all about to lose their jobs! And the sock thing- really?
App does not match preview
by Alexwoods17 on 2018/09/21 17:47
I spent an hour messing around with this and it looks nothing like what they advertise. There’s no side window. All the features they show must be done from the desktop version?? How do I access all the cool features they are showing.?? I can only add spreadsheet and docs. Where is the cool shared calendar? The cool work flow chart? The Checklist with due dates? The iPad app doesn’t have squat on it Waste of my time
The best note taking and team sharing app

Being a remote employee, communication is even more crucial. Quip is an awesome platform for collaborating with teammates and tuning projects. The ability to have a conversation in the doc you’re working on together is great! So many great features and always keeping me connected to my projects and people. Huge productivity booster.
Quip is great - Simple and easy to use
by quipreview on 2018/09/12 15:00
Quip is great and very easy to use - Would it be possible to add drop down menu features that have fillable content boxes like in Sharepoint? This function along with others, such as: - More color options - Lists creation tools - Photo editor option Would help improve Quip for our usage - thanks. Make it possible to submit reviews without creating a nickname:/ - Leonard

Functional, but terrible chat UX
by Positron00 on 2018/08/14 15:11
Compared to something like slack, quip is missing functionality and lots of small QoL aspects like, when you switch to a new chat you also need to click on the text input because it is not in focus (example from the desktop app).
Large spreadsheets crash
by ggggggyhhyjj on 2018/08/01 11:04
Mobile app constantly crashes with more than 200 rows on iPhone X (12 columns across). I have to reinstall app to get back to home screen. I have thus reinstalled the app 14+ times.
Love the features. Hate the set up.
by Pawl24 on 2018/07/23 06:49
This why I try to avoid using Quip as much as I can. It’s the same reason I find myself going back to the default iOS Notes app- simplicity. Less steps to get to where you want. I always feel like in Quip I’m going back and forth. Mobile device experience on Quip is just not my favorite thing. Amazing features. Wish the bottom menu was always there. Way too many notifications. I don’t care if John just opened a doc in Quip. He can let me know when it’s ready. Ok rant over. Quip rocks.

Very buggy, doesn’t support all OS features, and no feature parity
by D2Rhino on 2018/07/16 21:42
1) very buggy on on iPad Pro with the official keyboard. Cursor disappears a lot which causes the keyboard input to fail, requiring a re-tap of the screen somewhere else to get it to come back. 2) Seemingly doesn’t support iOS 11 drag-n-drop. I cannot drag images from Files into the doc, nor can I add images into the doc from Files any other way. So, no proper iOS 11 support, a full year after it’s release 3) Adding a table on iPad breaks the entire app and document. If the table scrolls off the screen, the entire document will be permanently moved off the screen and you won’t be able to see the rest of it without exiting the app and coming back in. 4) lack of feature parity. Lots of basic features like anchor links are missing from the app. I work mainly from an iPad Pro, as does the rest of my company, so Quip won’t work for us because the app is so buggy with poor UX, UI, and lack of feature parity.
It’s beautifully done

Please allow third party keyboard like Swiftkey and Gboard
by froody32 on 2018/06/29 20:23

1. Been able to import from Pages, Numbers and Keynote 2. Being able to import a picture to a folder 3. Being able to create Live apps on iOS 4. Scan a document within the app 5. Bring more of the amazing features and layout to iOS It’s an amazing app!
Horrible app for editing
by Prenez on 2018/05/24 18:16
Worst editor I’ve ever used. Worse than Word, worse than Ulysses, worse than IA writer, worse than you name it. The screen constantly blinks and scrolls to the top when I am in the middle of editing. The iPad version is quite literally unusable as a document editor. The MacOS version is fine. I only use editors that I don’t have to fight while writing. I have to fight Quip ipad app second to second. No thanks.
Not user friendly phone app
by 28382n on 2018/05/04 02:29
It started out great, but I tried so hard to find a way to reset my passed and never found it. Had to google to find a link that resets passed. Then when I finally got in, I had to search and search for a delete option. I am not doing it and it’s hard if for every typical action I have to google up how.
Lucid charts bug

Sorry Thay You’re Not Alllwed to Use G-Suite
by SGuttbinder on 2018/04/29 17:37
What a joke of a product. Years behind the collaboration features of Google Docs and Sheets. The only reason you're using Quip is probably because you're IT team says you're not allowed to use G-Suite.
Awesome but no support for 3rd party keyboards
by Martin's opinion on 2018/04/28 15:08
I'm writing a lot. I need the possibility to enable third party keyboards. Everybody supports this but not Quip. Why?
Quip is number 1 on my iPhone.
by dkmv2006 on 2018/04/19 02:51
Quip is my favorite go to app for things to- do lists, groceries lists, keeping track of month bill spending, business, contact numbers, passwords, keeping logging information and journaling. Quip can also be used to add pictures to your entries and upload files from other apps.
Perfect

Great
It’s great, but needs just a bit more!
by Dohvah on 2018/04/03 01:43
So, I want to start off by saying I love everything about this app, it’s made my work life so much simpler to manage! I recommend it to pretty much everyone. However, I think the mobile app needs a little bit more functionality to compare to the desktop app. I know you can’t make them work EXACTLY the same, but it’d be nice to be able to interact more with the Live Apps on the mobile app. I’m currently unable to move cards between columns on the Kansan Board and that’s a drag to have to get on my computer just for that. I think once the interactions with Live Apps have improved, this will be a 5-star app for sure.

Convenient and easy
by Poet Bob on 2018/03/13 16:19
I use Quip on my iPad and iPhone to write my poems. I write almost everyday and I find the app a tremendous help. It is so easy and convenient. I then send myself the poem and print it out when I get home. Thanks so much. There is great value in this app and what it can do for all of us.
So phuqing sick
by V12golfcart on 2017/11/07 02:03
Recent release has nifty power ups for docs. I now can switch my Trello + Google Docs flow to one doc in quip. Coda, enjoy your $60M lunch while it lasts Other great stuff: * collaborative notifs when people open your doc and when people create docs in a shared space... shared context isn't just about sharing info but sharing context of when people engage on what topic * shared folder space done well --Google Docs, please take notes...on Quip perhaps * mobile app is very slick, delightful to take notes on it * stupidly easy to share a doc in view only mode externally * have a reasonably powerful formula-enabled spreadsheet inside a doc. Copy+past special as png can go to heII * for anyone complaining about formatting feature parity with other doc editors... consider that their guard rails on formatting takes the cognitive load out of composing, which makes it easier for less graphically confident coworkers to be emboldened by the uniformity and therefore contribute more
Efficient, effective, smart, & functional!
by Alex2478 on 2017/12/10 17:30
Thank you Quip team for this wonderful app! It organizes, sync, and communicates documents beautifully across different devices/platforms. It is my go-to daily app, that captures small ideas to big ideas. An area of improvement that I would suggest is to create an ability within the app for split screen and/or multiple tabs viewing. This is incredible useful for editing two documents at once, or editing a document while viewing the other for reference. Keep up the good work!
It’s great, but needs just a bit more!

Great features but unclear about trial period
by soflachick on 2017/12/15 12:05
The app has great features but I’ve learned not to invest in apps that don’t clarify their “free” or “trial” periods. I’d prefer if the developers were more forthcoming about the limitations of the trial period so users can make an educated decision about whether or not to upload their entire virtual world to the app. I don’t want the information I add to the app to be held for ransom of sorts if I decline to pay a fee once my trial period magically ends. For that reason alone, I wouldn’t recommend this app for couples and families who need to collaborate but aren’t companies or teams who’d be comfortable paying the $30/month fee to continue using the app after the trial period.
Quip rocks.
Badly needs Drag n Drop support
by Jathar93 on 2017/10/12 16:50
This app is great, but would be my number one app of all time if it only made use of drag and drop options in iOS 11. For example, it would be much nicer and faster if I could hold on icons and drag them into the folders I want them in, instead of going into the document, selecting move, and going through a couple menus to specify where I want the document. It would also be nice if I could import from iCloud, Numbers, and other iOS apps. Or even better, just drag and drop through the multitask interface.
Truly reduces email and enables ‘real’ collaboration
by PJamesH on 2018/02/13 07:26
Using QUIP across an organization (of any size) makes you realize just how much time is wasted in emailing countless docs around teams, or in fact that info just doesn’t get shared. QUIP is absolutely ‘real time’ and employs chat for the collaboration side and history to track the development of a doc. Try it...set up some folders, create some docs and experience real collaboration....amazing! Also, finally be in control of your complex content and harness the ingenuity of your team!
Cheers!
Best productivity app on the market. Collaboration at its finest
by LyricsMatter on 2018/03/11 00:07
I use a lot of collaboration tools, and this is the best performing and most intuitive one out there. My only issue with this tool is that the text color cannot be changed. The developer says that’s by design to “keep it simple and focused”. But changing text color isn’t difficult, especially when you see all of the complex things the tool can do. I hope they reconsider.
Horrible app for editing

Truly amazing
by BT0000001 on 2018/02/08 22:17
When quip first came out it felt like another cloud document sharing tool in the cloud. With all the new updates and integrations and having used it for a few months, it’s become an invaluable place to do work. Both the web and mobile app really work when you need them to. Truly an absolute pleasure to use.
Most difficult Communication app I’ve ever used
by ceroberts75 on 2018/01/06 19:33
Supposed to streamline communications. But using it is so awkward and against any user-friendly process that I cannot believe the positive stars it gets. You will not install and away-you-go start using it because it is very un-natural to use and takes all kinds of time to figure out how to get things done on it. Maybe it has great possibility usages, sure, and you just “have to figure that it out”. But trying to get this rolled out to even a small group of people is like teaching them all to use a toolbox out of photo shop.
Just when you think Quip stopped updating the app
by leojkwan on 2017/11/13 16:14
They give you #anotherone. Huge wins on the new powering. Consolidating a kanban board, calander, polls within Quip is amazing. Google sheets is great but the level of cross team communication it provides at the level of a Slack, makes Quip a no brainer. Shout out to the IOS engineers & mobile team making the offline sync work flawlessly.
Great Document Collaboration! But...
by Elrod75 on 2018/01/20 14:13
Quip is amazing in terms of its simplicity, ease of use, seamless navigation, alerting and collaboration. The new live apps are also great. In fact I would say it’s king of the hill at the moment. However one of the some key features that could turn it from great to PHENOMENAL would be: 1) “Web clipper” feature similar to Evernote. 2) Ability to attach other docs (PDFs, Images) and have OCR scanning
Most effective tool my organization uses!
by The desire of One on 2017/12/26 18:21
Quip is amazing. I don’t have to waste money on printing paper, lose space for document storage and the ability to collaborate and communicate with other members in our team in one place makes this a powerful tool. Hands down the most productive tool my staff and organization uses!

Fantastic

5 stars! 😄 The app has constant improvements and plus it is on a cloud! My school device will be different next year but I’m happy to know that all of my work will transfer. Although sometimes the transfer to word cuts off words it is without a doubt excellent! Keep it up quip!
Great App/Platform - Makes work pretty fun
by arcader1 on 2017/11/11 02:27
I kind of think of this platform as Google Docs, Confluence by Atlassian, and Slack in one. The iPhone and iPad apps are great. The desktop/web app is great too. The one key thing I would love to see them add is voice and video calling and conferencing. Really hope this is in the works.
The most annoying thing
by Nittles Grawlix on 2017/10/23 01:23
Immediately upon installing the app I had 800+ count on the badge for updates to documents with no way to clear it other than swipe or open each one individually. I would much rather the badge count be for notifications anyway. Other than that it’s good I guess.

Good but voice dictation is flaky.
by Dwarfsuperstar on 2018/02/06 11:49
If you do voice dictation instead of typing, sometimes you can no longer edit the document. So you have to back out of the document and reopen it in order to get text editing to work again. They've known about this problem for over a year, and still have not fixed it!!
Evernote Killer
by AFoster1 on 2018/12/06 03:36
Literally better than anything out there. I was a convert from Evernote (after almost four years). Literally the second I saw a colleague using Quip I was done with Evernote. This is also my first app review because really, who writes reviews?
Impressive user interface and integrations
by Amackler on 2017/12/10 15:33
My initial reaction was - another “collaboration” tool to have to remember to check - but after using it for a few weeks and actually utilizing the contextual comments feature, this is a great solution.
Great app
by Hundredy on 2019/03/18 16:53
I use this app for coordinating all sorts of projects and activities. I can’t believe how much this little app has boosted our productivity. One thing I would request is more spreadsheet functions common to office spreadsheet software. Little conveniences like borders for the cells.
Amazing
by My Old Watermill on 2017/09/03 23:53
I am admittedly a weird user. I was trying to find anything that could keep me from staying on Evernote. I know this app is geared towards groups, but man does it do exactly what I want! The mobile app is amazing. Living documents is really cool! The ui could use a little bit more of a modern design, but overall I couldn't be more satisfied. I want to give them money, but for whatever reason they don't have a scaling pricing structure or very clear definition of "trial". Definitely give this a try if you are migrating from Evernote!
Five stars!!
by linusitas on 2018/01/03 19:31
Grocery list to a weekend trip, I have been using Quip to plan everything. Latest updates are pretty awesome. I can edit word documents, make PDFs, presentations and share them at the same time. I can add my to do list to calendar. Wow!🤘
Everything you need
by Mrs. CEO on 2018/07/02 12:56
I have no idea how I functioned as a coordinator before Quip! I love this application, it never has downtime, you can access it from desktop on any platform and customize it to your project needs! It’s worth it!
The iPad app doesn’t have squat on it Waste of my time
Great productivity app!!

Great for a Book list
by Road4pples on 2019/05/12 19:56

Swiping causing crashing

Zero non-default keyboard support
by Frank Lin on 2018/01/18 17:34
This is absolutely unacceptable and makes this app unusable for anyone who doesn't use default keyboards. I use Google's keyboard (GBoard) for English since it's got much better auto-correct, but whenever I use the Quip app it only allows me to enter Korean because it's the only language in which I'm using Apple's default keyboard. Yep I can only input Korean characters in Quip. This is 2018 Quip, what's wrong with you?
Awesome collaboration/organizational tool
by Pdub1849201619 on 2017/10/05 15:39
I use Quip religiously to manage my day as a salesperson. It's incredibly helpful for collaborating internally and with my customers and prospects. The Salesforce integration is also great if you are a SF user. Highly recommend!

by theredcrane on 2019/05/16 10:25
Please please please add task drawer for mobile devices!

Please polish iPhone app a bit with dark mode, otherwise everything is perfect as it is right now

Fantastic

Great app
by Hundredy on 2019/03/18 16:53
I use this app for coordinating all sorts of projects and activities.

Slow

Slow functionality. Page jumps around. The concept is great, but my employees are getting very frustrating because the app bounces around from pages. Using a Samsung tablet and galaxy phone

Text falling below keyboard

Please make a custom iPad app
by Good TX on 2019/01/21 19:42
Quip is the best thing since sliced bread. My team is on it and we’re adding more people as the months continue on. Please make a custom iPad app that provides the same functionalities as the desktop version. Our iPads are having to use the mobile app version and we are very limited and are having to use it in Chrome which is still limited. After that you all will take over any productivity program out there...period! Cheers!

Not perfect but one of the better collaboration tools
by Bob B. Q on 2019/01/09 02:25

No thanks.

Best app ever

Very effective platform for living document collaboration vs e-mails back and forth
Great app

Would like to have ability to swipe between photos, versus backing out and selecting the next one
Great idea but could be better

Cheers!
No thanks.
Quip is number 1 on my iPhone.
by dkmv2006 on 2018/04/19 02:51
Quip is my favorite go to app for things to- do lists, groceries lists, keeping track of month bill spending, business, contact numbers, passwords, keeping logging information and journaling. Quip can also be used to add pictures to your entries and upload files from other apps.

by Fryguy44 on 2019/02/12 16:21
I have been using Quip with Salesforce for the last couple months over the last two weeks the mobile application failed to sync with Salesforce none of my reports are updating on my mobile phones I have contacted tech support multiple multiple times each time they say it’s fixed and each time it is not fixed they do not want to get on a phone call with me everything is done through email please please be careful
Fantastic
by penguin12346795 on 2019/04/26 14:42
5 stars! 😄 The app has constant improvements and plus it is on a cloud! My school device will be different next year but I’m happy to know that all of my work will transfer. Although sometimes the transfer to word cuts off words it is without a doubt excellent! Keep it up quip!

Wow!🤘
Everything you need
by Mrs. CEO on 2018/07/02 12:56
I have no idea how I functioned as a coordinator before Quip! I love this application, it never has downtime, you can access it from desktop on any platform and customize it to your project needs! It’s worth it!
The iPad app doesn’t have squat on it Waste of my time
Great productivity app!!
by Lukeadamgo on 2017/09/25 13:01
I use Quip everyday for mobile collaboration and content creation - for both personal and business needs. The UI is great and the ability to have all of your content available on the go is invaluable.
Great for a Book list
by Road4pples on 2019/05/12 19:56
It is great for spread sheet of the books that I have read. The only problems is in printing it the type is to small to read. Also have problems with it shutting down when entering a book I have read..
Swiping causing crashing
by andtrapp on 2018/11/19 13:11
App continuously is crashing on latest iOS 12 release upon swiping back. Unable to access any folders or other files than the default file upon opening as a result.

Mobile-first productivity

Please update better for iPhone X
by BabeAlaine on 2018/01/17 22:32
The screen extends to the top of my iPhone which blocks a bit out and prevents me from backing out. It also makes words run together at the top sometimes. It is a great app...just needs a little tweaking.
Not bad
by tonygwu on 2017/09/03 20:57
But I wish it had a few more features that would put it on parity with Google Docs (Edit) it's gotten way better over time, props to the team!
Perfect
by Idahsteve on 2018/04/18 03:14
I have hardly started using it and I see it as a solution to get organized. What’s so cute is the Dropbox, google drive and Evernote integration. If I see anything stressful, I will review my comments.
Amazing Product focused on collaboration
by Prasad Guuduru on 2018/12/16 04:07
You looking for making team members more collaborative across chat, group, documents, presentations? No doubt none of the collaborative tools can beat quip.
Great collaboration tool
by daintysharky on 2018/08/18 15:25
Quip keeps our Project details organized and makes it easy to share status updates. Highly recommend.
