Good app
by Skimunk on 2019/12/04 17:17
Seems to work as intended, like that I can keep track of my runs, I really like the 3D map function and how you can send it to your friends while they are sitting in their cubicles and you are skiing.
Love it!
by Caberfae Chad on 2019/12/04 00:43
The premium pass adds another level of enjoyment to my snowboarding life. Objective and accurate information about my time spent on the hill along with the ability to look back in time to compare and remind oneself of past adventures make this app my favorite. While I don’t “share” info at this point I can see the value that this feature adds. I especially like the abilty to delete runs/lifts for those days that I forget to turn off the app until I am home and only then realize that my drive back the cabin was included in my recording. Simple fix now to remove that from my stats. Thanks for a great product and customer service!
Great app
by iPod touch freak on 2019/12/03 20:45
I’ve been using slopes for the last two seasons and it’s a great app. It helps me keep track of the days I hit the slopes and let me know how I did each time. Great app, I highly recommend it
Greatly improves my snowboarding days
by 🅱©1⃣9⃣ on 2019/12/03 18:35
Started using Slopes this season, and two days in I absolutely love it. It gives me a lot of cool info like distance travelled, calories burned, and it gives me a rundown of all the runs I did at the end of the day. I also love competing with friends to see who can get the highest top speed. More importantly, it doesn’t kill your battery! Used Slopes for almost 8 hours straight and it only used probably 30% of my battery. Would totally recommend!
Great app!
by Aefird11 on 2019/12/02 19:54
Such a fun way to keep track of my rides and review the day once I’m done!
A total must-have for our whole family
by Nicole_in_the_City on 2019/12/02 17:31
We always have so much fun looking at our day of skiing and comparing stats. We even drop a phone in each of our kid’s pockets so we can see how we each ski a little differently. The features to link photos and track with friends are clutch. A great add to help enjoy the day in real-time and relive the fun later.
My favorite part of skiing (after skiing)
by sennheiserz on 2019/12/02 17:19
Love that I can track my vertical, calories, runs and now I can even compete with my friends. The Apple Watch app is fantastic and it’s great that it grabs my photos for the day! One of the best apps on my phone!
I like using this app and the way it’s set up
by Rio Jacare on 2019/12/02 07:48
It seems like this app is a bit better thought out than the one we use at the major Olympic resort near North Tahoe I was pleased with the app last year and will keep relying on it. I do believe the top speed function is slow based on long term personal experience and comparing the other speed recorder on the S——V——- app but all in all it is very worth while and deserves a top rating
10 out of 10

I purchased the premium for me and my family and is amazing. Since we bought it we have had a passive aggressive competition between us and is a lot of fun!

What a great way to track your day on the mountain and record all of the wonderful terrain you’ve skied. Using this app let’s you just set it and ski. Five Stars!

Best tracking app ever
by mike kopchak on 2019/11/30 03:06
As an active member of the National Ski Patrol I average around 500,000 vertical feet a season. Which working at a resort that has a thousand vertical feet is a couple of runs. I would recommend this app to anyone who wants to know how much you ski. The season pass is worth it if you get out a lot. The replay is awesome as well. Kudos to the developers for this app!
Not worth the money.
by RosenBond on 2019/11/28 23:35
Can’t share your flyover map. Not user friendly. Can’t find friends already using app. I would like a refund.
Can’t figure the app out.

Sometimes change is not good I used to use this app but now don’t understand it.
Great App for Tracking Your Day

This app gives you an accurate record of your day on the slopes.
Really good
by geercolby on 2019/11/27 13:08
For the most part it is amazing, but there are some times where the time skiing is like 40 seconds which isn’t right. But otherwise it’s great
Best tracker around
by KeenanBrock on 2019/11/27 11:08
Very simple and clean interface with all the info I want at a quick glance. Easy to see how many runs I took. Quick to see how each run went. Quick to then break down the run to understand which portions were quick and slow. Live that it knows which lift I’m taking and color codes the lift vs runs. Also easy to fix mistakes like leaving my phone on while driving home. At first I was unsure if I wanted to spend $20/yr for this app. But the design is so clean and it works so well. I also want the developer to maintain the app. Which isn’t a one time cost. Developer is very responsive and kind. Thanks
Great app for skiers. Very useful for tracking vertical and speed and comparing to friends.
by MountainHighMotors on 2019/11/26 23:03
Tracks number of runs, elevation, vertical, elapsed time...and transfers perfectly to the Apple Watch. Perfect ski app!

by Ifkkdkke on 2019/11/26 19:51
This is a great app! Me being a ski racer I like to know how fast I am going down the hill and how many training runs I take. Slopes does all of that for me! Just turn on the app, put your device in your pocket, and forget about it! Over all a great app.

by Breck! on 2019/11/26 15:18
App continually dropped runs. It would do about 3 runs and then check the app, it would show the 3 runs for a minute and then drop back and only show 1. On the last day I did 10 runs and it showed 4. App used to work great but not anymore.
Good stuff
by gezzerboarder on 2019/11/24 20:30
I really like this app. As long as I remember to start it before I hit the hill, it’s a nice log of my days. I am unable to keep an accurate log of my days on the hill if history is any indication, so Slopes is a welcome and very lightweight addition to my snowboarding tools. I showed this app to several people last season at Beaver Creek and they all downloaded it on the spot! Mac Maclay Evergreen, Colorado
Finally, an IOS app that lives up to the hype!
by El Bucky on 2019/11/24 00:21
8 days of skiing at two resorts and this app has performed flawlessly! It’s great to see the runs, ski performance and, my vitals tied to specific runs and stats all in one place! The app more than lives up to expectations. Keep it up!!!
My great review
by superdudes66 on 2019/11/18 03:59
In all it is a great app that works very well
It is a great tracker
by Buddy7000 on 2019/11/18 03:57
I got this app last season and I used it without getting the season pass. It works great and tracks your runs fairly accurately and it reminds you when you get to the resort so you remember to turn it on. I highly recommend this app, it works great and is constantly getting updated to become new and improved.
Best Ski Tracker in the App Store
by Venezuelan in LA on 2019/11/17 17:24
Knows which mountain you’re on, constant updates keep the app fresh and fun to use. Social media connectivity lots of different ways to present your data. I got the premium pass and it was worth it and then some. Get this app, upgrade and get a whole new world of information on your skiing and snowboarding.
App is amazing customer support even better

This is the absolute best ski tracking app
by Kapicaluk on 2019/11/14 03:40
I literally can’t wait for the new season. The amount of thought that’s put in this app is unbelievable. Just download, buy season passes (well worth it) and go shred some slopes
The Best!! BUT...
by CmStreeter on 2019/11/12 20:19
I used this for the full 2018/2019 season, logging 150k of glorious data dipped vert! Love love love. One of the most thoughtful and elegant apps out there. That said, with the advent of the new “friends” feature I can already see where the thoughtfulness breaks down...Much like I don’t talk politics on the lift, I don’t ask what type of devices my fellow snow riders use. It’s a personal thing and not worth the debates that ensue. That said though, I KNOW that not all, if not most, of my extended snow crew is not on an iPhone and thus can’t get in on the epicness that is this app no less the friends feature and thus would split my crew into the “haves” and “have nots”. I don’t advocate often for android versions, but for this it would be goodness.
Best app ever

Some love for the privacy policy
by Generic fan on 2019/11/08 16:48
Seriously. This is a great app! It works very well, the information it collects and displays about my runs is accurate, and it looks very pretty. But more importantly, I have never seen a more transparent and straightforward privacy policy than this one. Every app should be like this!

Garmin/Strava integration?

I use a Garmin watch to track my skiing. Can this app be updated to get my skiing from Garmin? and/or Strava.
First-class app!
by Prince_Dusty on 2019/09/25 13:11
This guy is a great example of an AMAZING iOS developer- supporting all the latest features, releasing updates right on time, with an app that works wonderfully. I’ve never encountered any problems with Slopes and personally am happy to pay for additional content, but there’s more than enough given for free that any skier or snowboarder should definitely give this a try! It’s definitely the most well-made and feature rich tracking app out there!
Awesome snowboarding companion

Great app, incredible developer
by SnoPir8 on 2019/05/16 18:42
This app is incredibly polished. 5 stars just for that. I’d give 6 for the developer’s stance on removing the creepy Facebook SDK.
Slopes works very well
by Dr. Bicycle Bob on 2019/05/06 22:37
I’ve used Slopes at three destination resorts and two local ski areas and Slopes worked flawlessly at all five. I have tried three other skiing apps with mixed results. Slopes is a clear winner.
Great app

I really like this app because they are concerned about the privacy of the users. I suggest they should add a few key features and it will pick up like fire.
Great app, even better developer
by NYC Jason on 2019/04/30 07:40
I've been using this app for a while and I've really enjoyed it. My kids actually look forward to the chair lift so we can look at the stats on our most recent run: how far, how high, and of course, how fast. If you love skiing, you'll love this app. Even better was the most recent update note about removing the Facebook hooks. It seems that every day there's yet another announcement about FB abusing or leaking our personal data, so I'm really happy to see that this developer is taking steps to distance the app (and all of its users) from "that creepy company". I wish more programmers took privacy that seriously. To the developer(s) - you've made us fans for life. No kidding.
Very nice +no FB
by walkabout32 on 2019/04/25 11:15
Love this app, extra star for removing Facebook!!!
Maps are better in other apps
by Mattu206 on 2019/04/25 03:31
I ended up uninstalling this. I discovered slopes because Strava promoted it as "slopes can post to Strava". What I was hoping to see was that it post a Strava style map. It doesn't. Rather it posts a bitmap of a topo map. This isn't as useful so I'd rather just track using Strava. Or track in one of the resort apps which provide tracking on top of their labeled maps.
Remove FB SDK!
by TJ-P on 2019/04/25 03:19
Finally an app developer that picks privacy over the creepy as FB stuff. I’ll subscribe just for that simple fact to support you!
Great app!

by BradleyJay123 on 2019/04/17 17:10
This app worked amazing - functional and beautiful all around. But most importantly inspirational! I pushed myself harder than ever last season and snowboarded 541,000 vertical feet - 441 runs! The app kept pushing me and I had my best season ever - thanks Slopes!
Awesome app
by Jetsi on 2019/04/14 19:44

Best app I’ve found and responsive developer
by Bobby-hill on 2019/04/13 06:00
I moved to CO having tried skiing a few times. I wanted to get better so that I could keep up with friends and to have more fun on the Mountain. I have tried a few different ski tracking apps but never found anything that tracked reliably until l switched to Slopes in 2016 and I have been pretty happy ever since! I initially liked the ability to see the maps of my runs but quickly fell in love with all the other features. I have the Annual/Season Pass because I live in near many resorts and now ski 30+ times a season. I ski a few specific resorts more often, where I know the mountain quite well. When I was first learning the heat maps helped show me where I struggled and where I was more suited. The speed stat is one that is always fun to check out and compare to previous day or seasons runs. On occasion, I skied faster that day then the drive on I70... My wife and I, and her father all learned together. The first seasons we were limited to beginner terrain and short days in uncomfortable boots and you can see how much our skill progressed via the maps showing all the runs and lifts we can cover on a mountain these days. The detailed 3D maps with real-time playback are awesome to share with friends or family and the stats and quick share options are easy to use. The app tracks perfectly on my IPhone 7+ and Apple Watch 3 (thanks to the developers quick support and responsive customer service) which is important to me because I am training for a half marathon and skiing is part of my training but at the time there were not many good tracking options that were reliable or didn’t kill my battery. I’ve never had that problem with this app on my phone or watch, great battery life. For the Apple Watch, I recommend locking it while you track as it’s easy to accidentally pause it, but if you do the water lock, it will not pause (again I’ve had exceptional battery life and not needed to pause it during the day) and you will be certain to capture your tracking. Cold weather kills tech, keep your Apple Products covered and warm and the battery last longer All the reminder features are lifesavers (well maybe that’s dramatic but at least day savers for someone who needs fitness tracking to count) for starting your day at your favorite mountains and after lunch or cocktail breaks. I highly recommend this app! 5 stars, 2 thumbs up, 5/5 dentist approve...(okay the dentist stat might be made up but the app is seriously great)

On my third year [edit: Just finished the fourth! ]using Slopes now. I occasionally give another app a shot for a day, but none of the others feel like they’re made with the same love and care for user experience. The family pass is almost absurdly reasonable in price and is a great addition. All four of us love comparing top speeds at the end of a day.
Use it every day on the slopes

Simply the best ski app out there
by Marcam377 on 2019/04/06 09:57
I must first confess that I am a bit of ski nut. I have a demanding job and I travel a lot, so I don’t get to spend as much time as I would like on the slopes. But on the other hand, my travels allow me to experience different countries and snow conditions and I am always trying to squeeze in a day or two of skiing wherever I go. Slopes allows me to keep an exact track of the number of my sky days, and makes it easy to remember details about your day as it automatically uploads the pictures you took while out skiing, if you so desire. It also lists all the resorts you were in and shows you every run and lift you took, together with your verticals, max speed, and a bunch of data we skiers like to brag about. But the coolest feature and the conversation piece while enjoying après-ski is the ability to look at your day on a 3D model of the mountain you skied, and to “drop” it as an augmented reality piece on a table top, for all your friends to see through your phone screen as they walk around the table and see different angles of the AR mountain and your runs. It’s genius! It works beautifully with my Apple Watch 4. You start the app at the beginning of the day and you don’t need to worry about it until you stop skiing. Of course you can easily pause it while having lunch so you keep you recording “pure”. Finally, while the app runs all day while you are out on the slopes, it somehow does not deplete your battery. The drag on your juice is barely noticeable, and it will definitively leave you enough power to finish your day, brag about your skiing and then some! By the way, did I mention that it can automatically sync with Strava, so if you do other activities like running, swimming or cycling, your ski activity will sit nicely with your other training sessions. If I have a suggestion, it would be to add a measure of the steepest angle you skied during the day, as I have seen it on another ski app. This app has made my ski seasons even more enjoyable. I love it!
Better then using just Strava
by deub-review on 2019/04/05 13:30
Although you can save Strava activity as “Alpine ski” it’s not really designed for it as well as Slopes. Easy to see current total vertical while skiing and meaningful/fun skier centric review of data at days end. Let’s u know exactly amount of time u actually skied!
Amazing tracker!!!!

Great way to track your season
by bentonmcleod on 2019/04/03 19:49
If you are skiing inbounds and want to track your runs, this is a great app. Not only can I see a replay of my day, but I can see where I took pictures, went fast, etc. I use Strava for most of my exploits, but it doesn’t do a good job dealing with lift-services skiing. Slopes solves that by syncing my data to Strava! Additionally, it doesn’t really impact my phone’s battery life. I highly recommend Slopes!
Great app

Won’t sync:(
by Jakester33 on 2019/04/02 21:00
I absolutely love this app but none of my activities will sync to the slopes servers and therefore won’t upload to Strava and are lost when I delete the app. Huge bummer for my 2018/2019 season recordings.

by David-23 on 2019/04/02 14:41
I got this app before skiing last week in Steamboat. I loved it! I used the watch app to record my day, and then the phone app to look at the data it collected. Accurate and really interesting. I ended up sprinting for day passes for the days I skied, and would advise that for visualizing what you did, but even the free version is great. And when I had a small problem and emailed, customer service was great. My only wish is that there were an iPad version for looking at data after the fact.
Awesome
by yakigator on 2019/04/02 14:29
Love this app. I’m a Strava user to log my mountain bike rides. Also love skiing and have used Strava as well but don’t really like how Strava records and displays the data. Slopes is so much better. Still using the free version but it gives great detail about my ski day. It does tend to run my iPhone battery down a bit fast so I usually have to run it in airplane mode.
Awesome!
by ruckJsmithers on 2019/04/01 16:54

Best ski app
by Woodinville cyclist on 2019/04/01 15:32
My family are avid skiers. To put in perspective we had 50 days on the mountain this season. I used Trace Snow for a few years which I quite liked but they have not updated their app in a few years. I’ve also used Snoww and Ski Tracks. None of the above apps really satisfied me and they either didn’t have an Apple Watch version or it was poorly executed. I used Slopes the entire 2018-2019 season. I used it exclusively from my Apple Watch and had it synch to Strava. The app is simple, the execution is the best I’ve used. The other thing I like about Slopes is there are frequent updates with enhancements, user experience updates, etc. For those who are serious about their winter mountain sports I highly recommend.

Best Ski Tracking App
by wvblackbeard on 2019/03/31 20:05
I’ve tried several apps for tracking activities. Those apps do really well with running, hiking, biking, etc., but not with skiing. Slopes has been the best ski tracking app I’ve used (and will continue to use as long as it remains free, with the occasional paid premium day pass, which gives you more insight into how you did). The app gives me everything I’m looking for; number of runs, top speed, vertical. It’s just great!
Great App

Really enjoy using this when I ski. Be sure to active your pass off the watch to reduce your phone’s battery consumption. Watching the day’s activity is always fun.
Simply incredible

This app is honestly one my favorite iOS apps of all time. It does absolutely everything I could ever ask for from a skiing app and then some, and it’s all wrapped up in a beautiful UI. A few times my watch has crashed on me when I go to save my day, but the app seems to save things as you go because I’ve never lost anything when that happens. Also, I greatly appreciate the fact that there’s a real change log. Seems these days every app just writes “bug fixes”
Family Fun

The app has created an abundance of competition amongst our family. Only issue is that the GPS doesn’t consistently connect. Otherwise is a pretty cool app.
App to use

This is a really easy fun app. It measures all kinds of ski stats and boarding stats. Highly recommended
A must have for serious skiers
by pdhphd on 2019/03/28 15:45
The designers have done a great job with this app: intuitive; has everything you want/need; and the design is smart and clean. My only issue is the battery drain: it’s a bit of a hog, but I’ve learned to live with it. I went with the base/free version this season to check it out, but I’ll definitely be upgrading to Premium next season. Oh, and the Strava compatibility is a huge plus. Hats off.

I have had this application for several years now and have reviewed it several times, all at five stars but the developer keeps dropping new versions so it’s only fair to give it another review. It has proven to be even more useful to me since I updated my old series one Apple Watch to a current one, it’s now it’s so easy to turn on and off running app from the watch. I do like the feature just introduced oh and also resume since I generally forget to turn on again after pausing. Another very valuable recent feature is the ability to compare two seasons. I ski several days a week so this is very handy. besides all the amazing features perhaps a key reason to get slope is if you’re a skier is that the developer will quickly respond to any questions or issues that you have. Try that with some big company
Great App!

Love the iPhone and Watch apps. Great data visualizations. It’s real time updates of how many runs, your speed, distance and elevation changes are fun and useful on the mountain, and after. And the support was excellent when I had trouble inviting my wife to join our Family plan. Fixed in less than an hour, late in the evening on a Tuesday.

The best app for skiing
Just what I was looking for
by tkbalt on 2019/03/25 23:52
I wanted an app that would track my skiing and sync with the Activity app on my Apple Watch. This app totally did that and so much more. I got my ski trip friends to download it and we had so much fun comparing notes and stats. I highly recommend giving this app a try if you do downhill anything on snow.
Good but....

Good app but wish some of he features you have to pay for were free. If not we’re available without paying I would rate higher
Amazing on any device, paid or free, any trip!
by Pirkchoperer13 on 2019/03/09 15:44
Okay, so I've had this app for about 6m and today I finally got to use it as I haven't been out on the slopes. This app is simply amazing. Not only is it great on Apple Watch. Old iPhones (tried on IPhone 5), and new iPhones, but it's also very accurate on all of them. It got my exact times (times Myself with atop watch) shows you any wipeouts, slowdowns, speeds, and everything you cAn think of. It shows you very single run in 3D mode, and even a satellite view of the mountain, showing exactly on the trail you were at, showing all your turns. That one is a paid feature, but with all the amazing paid features I recommend getting a one day pass. I don't ski often, so it's totally worth it. If you ski at least twice a week, maybe get a liger pass. It's amazing for casual skiing for a hobby like myself, or if your a racer or comp skier. Would 1000% recommend.
This app is god!
by DraxLF on 2018/01/29 02:03
Just took this for a full day of sending with some friends and I really like this app. The speed tracker is wicked and I was super hyped when i broke 50mph. The mapping is also amazing, you can see each of the runs you did and the lifts you used. I was also amazing at just how far and high we skied. You would think that the gps recording and speed tracking takes a toll on your battery. It turns out it didn’t really at all! The app uses the gps and speed stats from the Apple health trackers and it’s relatively energy efficient. I started at 89% and on low power mode, with a bit of snap chatting and phone calling my phone dropped to only 56%. All in all I highly recommend this app. It’s made by one rad guy who wants to improve our days, which he definitely has. Also, everything I talked about is completely freeeee! So download this app and enjoy your adventure on the mountain.

Stop looking another tracking app and get Slopes
by TimmyT11 on 2018/12/14 16:09
TL;DR get Slopes if you are interested in any sort of ski/snowboard tracking This is the only ski/snowboard tracking app you will need. Once you download and try it you will be hooked. We used to only be able to know who got to the bottom of the run fastest, and just try our hardest to remember how many runs we did, did we ride Montezuma 3 or 4 times before lunch, I lost count. Not any more! Every stat you can think of is tracked, lift time and line time, actual riding time, speed, distance, altitude, runs, heart rate (with Apple Watch), gps map of your runs, 3D map of your runs, and some many others. Now you can see exactly how many runs you did and who is getting to a higher speed during the run! I was able to pinpoint exactly how fast I was riding when I crashed and dislocated my shoulder (39mph), but don’t tell my wife. On top of the already awesome app, it keeps getting regular updates! I thought to myself, it would be great if the Apple Watch app tracked heart rate, not a month later it was added. Then I though it would be cool if you could see a graph of this, again a month later that feature was added. I don’t have any more ideas but I’m sure something else I love is coming.
Best ski tracker, no comparison
by Jbdavids on 2018/03/07 03:53
Works flawlessly. So easy to use, if you go to a new mountain it knows where you are immediately. The data feels very accurate. It’s always within a few hundred feet of epic mix and while I have no way of verifying this I believe slopes to be more accurate. Running slopes all day in addition to music does not significantly affect my battery life. The 3D replay is awesome. It’s cool to see where you were in the trees or off piste when it’s not always obvious. I don’t think the calories burned is accurate as I’ve gotten similar numbers if I’m on bumps vs groomers but this should be fixed with the new update if you use it with Apple Watch and hr. My only wish at this point would be for some sort of leaderboard. Either way this is the best ski tracker app there is.
Best ski tracking app!
by ImUrPropofol on 2019/02/21 02:11
I’ve used another ski tracker (Ski Tracks)for a long time, 7-8 years now. It was very good, but Slopes is even better. It does an excellent job of tracking runs even if you don’t have a paid subscription. But, the price of admission is totally worth it for what you get. The detailed run stats and 3D maps make for reviewing the days activities very easy and fun. The mapping is even better than what I am used to from Ski Tracks. The Apple Watch integration is amazing - just start your tracking from the Watch at the beginning of your day and you’ve always got detailed info on your wrist throughout the day....best of all it saves HR data so you can view that at the end of the day with your other stats. What sold me on Slopes was the built-in integration with Strava. This is the only area that I would currently like to see some upgrades. After communicating with the developer, sounds like that is on Strava’s end. Currently some of the speed data doesn’t get linked properly, but the real important stuff like distance & vertical flow over nicely. All in all this is a very solid tracker, worth the paid price. Pick it up before your next day out on the slopes!
Fantastic Ski Tracking App
by Nintendofan825 on 2017/04/09 12:09
I used this at Mt. Sunapee resort for the first time yesterday. The app is very polished and does exactly what it's supposed to. The Apple Watch version is also very good. I can tell the developer put a lot of thought and care into this project. The app tracks the amount of time you spent going downhill, riding the lift uphill, and resting. It will even estimate calories burned and add it to the Health app. The optional in app purchase model for advanced stats works well. You can use the app without purchasing a pass, but the price for a day is very reasonable and allows you to track more information about your day while supporting the developer for making this great app. I've used other ski tracking apps and this is the best I've used so far by a long shot.
No kidding.
Decent but not great
by Supasandro on 2018/03/16 21:28
Rode morning and afternoon and recorded separately, gave me an option to “Merge” the two and it deleted the whole afternoon which was the whole day but 3 runs. Maybe I need to brush up on my understanding of the English language but when I see merge I think combine. What happened to me seems a lot more like replacing or overwriting, which is in no way what I wanted. Besides that it is pretty much what it says it is. The app for the watch is cool, seeing my speed every run is nice. Would be much better if it told you how long your last run was at least on the watch, like a summary of the last run of some sort. Didn’t really get to see the little map thing it generates of your runs since it deleted most of my day. Decent but really could use some improvement. “Merge “is NOT synonymous with “overwrite with”. Very irritating.
The only app you need to go riding.
by MrDerrty on 2019/02/19 17:53
Coming from a Garmin Fenix device, I missed the Ski/Snowboard activity app built into the watch, I wanted something very similar. I've tried several apps in the last few month and then I cam across Slopes! If you have a cellular Apple Watch this is the only thing you'll need, It doesn't need a phone in order to work. This provides you with all the stats you'd need while riding. It even has the "Lock" feature built into the UI, so there's no accidental touches or pauses while riding. Compairing this app to my old Garmin Fenix the GPS signal and speed match up. I've used mine from 8am to 10pm riding on a single charge. This is the last app you'll ever want to use while riding hands down.
Love it!
by Caberfae Chad on 2019/12/04 00:43
The premium pass adds another level of enjoyment to my snowboarding life.
Awesome App!
by Zag1000 on 2018/04/01 01:09
My family and I use Slopes and we love it. The App is easy to use and is pretty accurate for tracking and speed. My family does Apple family share, and we had an issue early in the season with only me being able to buy a Slopes season pass. I couldn’t share the pass either. I reached out to development and was contacted within 12 hours and my wife and son had the season pass on their phones the next day. So not only a awesome app, but A++ customer support. Looking forward to new features and improvements for next winter, like maybe being able to edit out your lunch break when you forget to pause. Tony
Best App for Tracking Skiing
by Dannymac55 on 2019/01/06 04:10
Truly impressed with this app. Used it for a recent trip to Breckenridge and not only did it track my on-mountain activity, but accurately tracked my activity using Apple Watch. It accumulates tons of information and beautifully displays it in 3D maps and raw data. Just a note: Sometimes when starting and ending your day using the Apple Watch, the information doesn’t automatically make it over to the iPhone app. Was able to remedy this with the help of support (they responded within a day) by restarting both my Apple Watch and iPhone. The ski day’s information popped right in once I reopened the iPhone app.
Great App but enough with the requests for health data
by Matt2285284 on 2018/09/24 00:30
I love this app, it is great way to be able to see what you accomplished on the mountain each day. I enjoy being able to see how active we were and how far we skied each day, we also will use it to compete with each other. The 3D maps and ability to replay your runs was really cool to be able to share with friends and family. I have used this at Breckinridge and Park City. The one downside is that they are trying to get access to all of your health data and there is no way to stop them from sending you requests for it. I would say 1-2 pop up style requests a day on my phone and watch. 5 stars if I could get rid of these pop up requests or at a minimum silence them permanently.
“Set it and forget it” simplicity, great watch UI
by stormfield on 2018/03/01 07:00
Love this app - it’s thoughtfully-designed and well-coded (easy on the battery, does a great job recording, and no glitches). Lots of smart little details that seem to appear when you first think of them and need ‘em - like the ability to trim recordings - without a cluttered UI. Lots of utility in the free version, no annoyances like ads or pushy promotion of paid features. (Your first day’s recording has all the bonus bells and whistles unlocked, so you have a good sense for whether the paid extras are something you want.) You can tell it’s crafted by a dev who knows all about the gnar gnar and iOS both. 🎿🏂
Please make winter 3D maps.
by Halberg88 on 2018/02/13 05:14
The app works great. Use it every time I ski. I use it with my Apple Watch and it works great, sometimes is a hard time finding my resort but that’s probably because I don’t get service instead of a problem with the app. Only thing that really needs improvement is the 3D and 2D maps. All the maps are shown in “summer” view. I understand that the app is probably pulling from a google maps satellite view or something similar but the app would be a 5 star if they could make the map view a winter view aka show snow and the runs better. Please please please make this an update. I paid for a season pass and the app is not very pleasant to use because of this.
This App is absolutely Wonderful
by enoughsev on 2019/01/11 18:31
First off I don't write reviews on apps. ever. However this app deserves it. It's stats I never knew I wanted but now can't ski without. It creates a competition to see who goes the fastest and who had the longest run or who waited in line the longest and who had the longest down hill. I now make it a goal to ski down as many different runs so my map looks cooler. It's an addiction that has now spread to all of my ski buddies. To the developer of this app. I love you for this. Thanks for throwing in that if I ski at the same resort but stop my recording that you automatically combine them. I love you even more for that. ❤️
Awesome App Just Can’t Get VR
by ChevinBueno on 2018/12/30 03:04
This app is outstanding. My only complaint is that I can’t get any AR images/video (unless it’s not the AR I was expecting). Every time I try to get AR I get a request to subscribe - which I have now done 4 times for a cost of $32 and now have 20 passes purchased (I had originally paid for the 5 pass deal to see how this app works). Honestly, for someone who only skis about 5 times a year I guess I won’t be renewing for 4 years. Hopefully nothing happens to the app in that time. It’s unfortunate the app doesn’t clearly explain what you paid for or how many times. Great app just one big blemish.
Great for people who love data
by Der_Kommissar on 2019/01/05 15:07
Great iPhone app! Easy to use and fun to look at the data after. I have an iPhone XR and I had 50% battery left after a full day at winter park. One glitch- I started my day from the watch (s2) app, and it never recorded any runs, but did note elapsed time. I quit the run on the watch and restarted from iPhone and then both watch and phone worked great, but it recorded no vitals for the rest of the day. Vitals were recorded while the watch appeared not to be working. Don’t know if I panicked too early or what. Otherwise, we’ll worth the one day pass price.
A+ App
by 1269745;,-;??( on 2019/01/08 14:07
No complaints, does everything I wanted it to do and more. Displays all the information collected in a very user friendly way on your phone. I use it on my Apple Watch and unlike other tracking apps I’ve tried it does not eat my battery. I find my battery has gone down after a full day of skiing by nearly 25-35%. Easy to set just make sure the mountains correct and hit go, at the end of the day then simply hit stop. Easily transfers data to your activity rings and provides a sick overlay of your runs on the mountain. 6/5 stars.
Fun app for tracking runs
by CWeirup on 2019/02/24 18:24
A really great and slick app for tracking your ski runs. Been using it this season with the Passes, and I’ve really enjoyed checking out my stats. Sometimes the GPS can be a little finicky and miss a run (although it might be due to my phone) but for the most part seems pretty accurate. I did have one issue on one trip, but the developers responded quickly with a fix. Also super helpful that you can start, stop, and view tracking from Apple Watch. Health integration is nice as well. Highly recommended app.
Great App!
by ;lakdsjflkajdfl;k on 2019/02/04 12:39
I got this app on recommendation from a friend and I am really pleased with it. I really enjoy seeing my total stats from the day including run count, length, and top speed. Best of all, you can start the app from your watch and just forget about it until you’re done and still get all the info on your phone later. My longest day so far has been seven hours and it didn’t kill my battery. Great app and well worth the $20 season pass. Four stars because playback is too fast to really relive the runs. Fingers crossed for an update.
Imagine an app...
by meclizine50mg on 2019/01/28 18:27
Imagine an app for one of your favorite activities (skiing) that incorporates all the latest features/technology provided by iOS and Apple hardware, such as Health App/HR integration, Watch integration, Augmented Reality, etc. That’s what I like about Slopes. The developer is obviously a skier, and this app is a great example of what can happen when Apple says, “here are the tools, go create something amazing.” The design is clean, including the watch interface. Updates are current and frequent. As an app developer myself, I am impressed with the quality of this app.
Apps this good don’t come around very often
by OPCMD on 2019/01/06 05:13
This app is everything you’d want from a ski app. Downloaded it for my new Apple Watch to take skiing with me for my first real ski trip out west. I was really impressed by how intuitive and attractive it was and how accurate and smart the mechanics were (all with no ads)! Tells you what you want to know in a very uncluttered way. Sitting down and looking at my day of skiing on my phone at the end of the day was really cool, the watch-phone integration is seamless. Probably one of the best apps I’ve ever used.
Best I’ve found so far!
by efilazzip on 2019/03/19 05:26
The 3D maps is what sold me on a 5-pack. With one day left and still much spring skiing to be had on my new RVL8 skiboards, I’ll be buying the 1-year pass shortly👌 The trial version is good for overall stats and top speed for the day, but if you want to analyze individual runs or your speed at any point imaginable, this app makes it easy. It also gives you a couple of polished up options to share your day on social media. I hope they continue to develop this app, I’m loving it so far!
Updated the apple watch and app couldn’t end session
by xxTuRtLexx on 2018/03/09 01:18
Love the app I’ve used it multiple times on multiple trips. Recently updated my Apple Watch and the app and it wouldn’t end session once i finished for the day. Every time I hit end the app would crash I’d relaunch it and the session I was trying to end would still be there. After multiple attempts I had to delete the app and reinstall it lost all my data on my runs for the day. Kinda bummed about it got a lot of good runs in and wanted to review them
Awesome app - Great features - Incomparable support
by ClaireKat on 2017/12/29 02:06
I love using Slopes! It’s really cool to get so much detail about my runs. I’ve yet to find a mountain that isn’t supported. The features are great, the app never glitches on me, and the developer is an angel! Because of Apple and a mysterious glitch, I had to delete the app and lost all of my data. The developer spent more time than he had to today waking me through how to extract the files from a backup on my computer. As if I wasn’t a happy customer already, now I’m sold for life.

Used to be good
by skijosh on 2019/01/13 07:39
I used to love this app because it is the only ski tracker that uses the native heart rate data from your watch to calculate calories. Unfortunately in a recent update the app changed the way it records that data into the Apple Activity all and Health App which now means some of your calories during skiing will be double counted. The reason this happens is because while the slopes app is continually recording health data, it is only reporting it to Apple Health every few minutes. This means that Apple is also counting other active calories between each of these data dumps. For example, I skied 3.5 hours today. Slopes says I burned 600 calories, which I believe. However, these calories weren't reported to Apple Health on the normal 3, 6, or 15 second internals, but rather every few minutes. This means Apple Health recorded additional (double counted) calories in between each report from Slopes. The result is that Apple Health and Activity believe I burned 950 calories. Absurd. I'm a premium customer ($20 per year) and slopes hasn't fixed the issue yet. I can say I work be renewing next year if it's not fixed.
#1 Ski/Snowboard Tracking App, THE BEST
by Dildoz on 2017/11/20 17:34
The best tracking app for skiing/snowboarding I could find. Everything is VERY user friendly, such cool stats provided, amazing update coming soon, well worth the season pass price of $20. It appears the tracking algorithm is much better than “MapMyRun” or other tracking apps I have tried for snowboarding. This is VERY accurate. A MUST DOWNLOAD for any winter sport enthusiast! ***BONUS: Ignore the calories, and it works perfect for mountain biking at ski resorts as well!! All the stats are there... worked perfectly for this as well.
Great ski tracker
by ReiMirra on 2018/10/16 03:50
I had been using strava in the past as the Stevens Pass app ate battery life and I didn’t like the other apps. This one is awesome. It tracks with my phone or watch. The timeline dot is awesome. I paid for a day pass curious to see what there was to know. It’s mostly accurate for Stevens Pass. It would be neat to have the heart rate match my Ski runs. And current weather for that day. Update: 10/15 bought season pass. Has heart rate tracking or at least maybe have it trigger to sample on black diamond runs
Great App for tracking your skiing
by Mark of The Mountain on 2018/02/22 00:53
This is a great app if you like to keep track of your ski days and your number of runs on each ski day. I like to do this. For fitness reasons I try to ski longer and get more runs in as the season progresses. The app also shows you visually each run and each lift ride it is customized to the resort that you enter and saves that resort until you change it. I don’t really care about seeing each run but it is still kind of cool that it can do that.
Great when it worked, but missed several runs
by munpip214 on 2018/12/28 21:21
Just got to try out this app for the first time. Both my wife and I have series 4 watches. Unfortunately between both of us the app missed four of our runs. Not sure what the problem is. Just started it at the resort then went skiing. I ended up restarting the tracking and it worked after that. For my wife it worked at the beginning, but then stopped working partway through and pausing it and restarting it seem to fix the issue. When it did track a run and did really well GPS was accurate and battery life is great
Wouldn’t shred a mountain without it!
by Shreddingnar on 2019/02/11 21:39
This app is a huge addition to skier/snowboarder who likes to see a recap of their day, race their friends, or go for a vertical record. I’ve been a paid user for the last three seasons and the unlimited pass is a great way to track my season stats. Some resorts may track your vertical through RFID scanning - but none of them will report your average speed, top speed, calories burned, or your line taken like slopes does. Can’t recommend this app enough.
First-class app!

Best ski app out there
by Jordang_geiger on 2019/02/17 20:10
Slopes is by far the most reliable and ski app on the App Store. It also works great with Apple Watch and transfers immediately. It never crashed on me and always works great with Apple health. I highly recommend! The only two issues I’ve had with it is it does not work with the activity app heart rate graph, saying it doesn’t have enough data. Also, in the auto photos during run, it doesn’t just do photos in the run, but the whole day.
Trouble with the watch feature
by dhocamp on 2018/03/11 01:40
I love the iPhone app, however, I did two days of runs trying to use the watch app and it failed both times. Everything appeared to be working fine - started, showed progress on the watch, and ended the day. The problem was none of the data transferred to the phone. It appears to be lost. There’s no way to send the info for even check in the status. Very frustrating.
Fantastic App & Support
by DCorrigan88 on 2017/11/22 01:56
This app is simply terrific and the in all pass purchases are totally worth it. Love the stats and map options. It’s easy to use and the integration with Siri, health and activity apps is great. I also like the watch integration. The developer has been incredibly helpful and quick and helped me find and restore old data onto a new phone (and has added cloud syncing to the newest version!). Just an awesome app that I can’t wait to use this season!
Awesome app; watch app feels buggy
by killah_whale on 2018/11/20 20:15
It took a few launches on the Apple Watch.. the app kept getting stuck on the screen that said turn the Digital Crown... not sure if I was doing something wrong or what but eventually after a few launches the app came up. Love the app, just wish it worked first time I used it. This app is actually the main reason I got an Apple Watch. It’s fantastic. Notes for the developer.. I am using a series 3 42 mm if that helps.
Great. Just too expensive
by TeeSean on 2019/01/29 02:05
Generally it's great, especially the editing feature that enables you to fix the incorrect detections happened sometimes. But just don't know why they charge an annual fee that much. Don't feel any of the mentioned premium feature would need much of an annual update that worths 20 bucks. I appreciate that the app is almost ads free, but with that much cost I would rather watch some for a free trip review.
Summer notifications
by TommyBoiiii on 2018/10/01 19:29
This may be more trouble than its worth but I go hiking near ski resorts in Utah in the off season and still get the location alerts to start tracking my runs. Suggestion would be to only run those notifications during the posted ski season dates for that resort. I can see how that’s a lot of work so maybe just block out summer dates that the resort has never been open during (August - September).
Best Ski/Snowboard tracking app out there
by Brownjeman on 2018/03/12 21:37
I’ve used a number of different tracking apps on and off ever since smart phones became a thing and this is my favorite by far. After a season of using it I can say it’s very stable, very accurate and reliable. It is easy on the battery and easy to use. Gives me all the info I want with no extra frills I don’t care about that tend to clutter other apps. Highly recommend!
Hats off.
Love it!
by livefromPDX on 2019/03/03 19:25
I love the ability of being able to gather stats from your runs. It’s nice being able to review the data at the end of the day and share with friends. It really helps visualize how much of the mountain you’ve covered. My only ask would be the ability to slow down the lift speed visualization or the ability also control the speed on that. Perfect app still!
Love the app
by Eric the frog. on 2019/02/18 03:01
Very good at tracking your runs, although just on the geography and not on the resort’s maps. So a little work to see what runs you took. The replay features are awesome. Ok integration with Apple Watch. Although wish I could see my heart rate throughout the runs on the vitals tab. One bug is that if you ride a tram down you get credit for an awesome run, haha. Interesting to see the stats for the tram though. Overall love following my season with this app. Worth the price for premium.

Your account will automatically be charged for renewal within a 24-hours prior to the end of the current subscription period unless you disable auto-renew. You can turn off auto-renewal at any time by going to your Account Settings on the App Store after purchase. Privacy Policy: https://getslopes.com/privacy.html Terms of Service: https://getslopes.com/terms.html ========================== Note: GPS is required so Slopes will not work indoors, and iPads and iPods will not be able to record with Slopes. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. Other factors such as the phone's temperature, battery health, and other apps running in the background can also affect battery performance. All-day battery life was tested on an iPhone 8.
Good app
by Skimunk on 2019/12/04 17:17
Seems to work as intended, like that I can keep track of my runs, I really like the 3D map function and how you can send it to your friends while they are sitting in their cubicles and you are skiing.
Love it!
by Caberfae Chad on 2019/12/04 00:43
The premium pass adds another level of enjoyment to my snowboarding life.

Really good
by geercolby on 2019/11/27 13:08
For the most part it is amazing, but there are some times where the time skiing is like 40 seconds which isn’t right.

Every app should be like this!

by SnoPir8 on 2019/05/16 18:42

Slopes works very well
by Dr. Bicycle Bob on 2019/05/06 22:37

This app worked amazing - functional and beautiful all around. But most importantly inspirational! I pushed myself harder than ever last season and snowboarded 541,000 vertical feet - 441 runs! The app kept pushing me and I had my best season ever - thanks Slopes!
Awesome app

I love love love this app. So cool to be able to relive my epic ski days. And then send it all to Strava! This app is better than my best expectations. Thanks for fixing the Strava sync issue!!
Still the best

Unbelievably great app!!! Tracking the vertical and chair time is awesome. Last run tracking and end of day!!! Speechless Winter Park spring break 2019
Great app

by Jakester33 on 2019/04/02 21:00
I absolutely love this app but none of my activities will sync to the slopes servers and therefore won’t upload to Strava and are lost when I delete the app. Huge bummer for my 2018/2019 season recordings.

Awesome!

Great support too!

Great App

Simply incredible
by Rob Pungello on 2019/03/29 22:09
This app is honestly one my favorite iOS apps of all time. Seems these days every app just writes “bug fixes”

by pdhphd on 2019/03/28 15:45
The designers have done a great job with this app: intuitive; has everything you want/need; and the design is smart and clean.

Just excellent

Awesome App!

Great App!

Simply incredible
by Rob Pungello on 2019/03/29 22:09
This app is honestly one my favorite iOS apps of all time.
Great!
by David-23 on 2019/04/02 14:41
I got this app before skiing last week in Steamboat.
Hats off.
Love it!
by livefromPDX on 2019/03/03 19:25
I love the ability of being able to gather stats from your runs.
