My favorite DJ app - now dead
by TomtTom on 2021/05/15 06:07
One of those moments, I would consider a zero star… My favorite DJ app, easy to use… I had so many great parties with it before COVID… I’m happy to pay for a good app, but not a weekly subscription… Good bye and rest in pieces… tears…
Ok ok... quick note
by Irieiwiqoroot4828 on 2021/05/14 19:49
90% of my Spotify playlist was unavailable, and tossed in songs I don’t listen to. If you listen to music that’s not on the radio then this app isn’t for you. But I honestly don’t know if it even works? Never tried because I couldn’t play my music. If I’m doing something wrong? Lmk I’ll change my review.
They removed Spotify
by nctmustang on 2021/05/13 21:54
Thanks to big business they made it where this small business can’t be at its full potential you guys had a good thing going but Spotify basically ran you out of business (at least your full potential business) but if you’re fine having a small selection of music I’d get it but they made this app worthless
Amazing but could be perfect
by sobs soxs on 2021/05/10 18:45
Hey developers if you could respond to this that would be amazing but honestly it’s pretty cool so far I just got it and it’s pretty simple and straight forward but if these got added I’d never get off this app😂 -being able to control the volume at different points. Like making it quiet for some parts and loud for others. -i know this might be hard but being able to separate the vocals vs the instruments I feel like would be a great add on because then you could get the words from one song and the sounds from another -more songs. Some new and some old songs aren’t on here it would be cool if you guys had a team that when someone submitted a response on the app they could get to it. Honestly everything else is pretty good and I’m already loving the app but I just wanted some small things. If I could get a response that would be amazing 😍
Doesn’t have all the music I need and not intuitive to use.
by jlclmcedc325 on 2021/05/10 10:08
The App is not a solution for making mixes as it doesn’t have all the music Spotify has so when I go to work with a playlist it’s pointless. Plus it’s not as intuitive to use as I’d hoped.
Really gone downhill
by Jhliberty on 2021/05/09 23:29
I paid for this app when it originally came out to unlock fx and such and now I can’t even use the app unless I subscribe to them in addition to subscribing to my music provider No thanks, I already paid for the fx I’m not gonna pay monthly to unlock features I’ve already paid for in the past. Wish I could get a refund on my original purchase for this app many years ago since I can’t actually use the features I paid for. Skip this app - they will remove features you’ve paid for and ask for more and more money.
Destroyed the app
by coco_monki on 2021/05/09 20:18
Thank you for destroying this app ! It was an amazing app and now not only want to charge a monthly subscription but also songs in Spotify are not available? This a joke right ? You guys are very stupid
I use to love this
by drummerbronx on 2021/05/08 06:01
Than you went with a 5 dollars a week. 5 a month would have been alright. Also you no longer except Spotify. I would give a zero for greediness. Most subscriptions are 9.99. People are on hard times, Covid-19, storms all over the U.S . W e went through bidder cold and no lights for 5 days in the state of Texas. I’m deleting the app. A big let down.
Paywalls galore
by MuffinToppings on 2021/05/07 23:41
Everything is hidden behind a paywall...the app used to be way better
Used to be good!
by wizards mind bomb on 2021/05/05 01:49
“Update app to view your mixes” Updates the FREE app to find a 5 dollar a week paywall! Thanks for nothing
Why Subscription?!
by jadeplays._.roblox on 2021/05/02 08:46
The second I download it I have to pay for subscription to use it. I already hate the fact you have to pay for subscription to use the app
Pacemaker Changes
by Hoaxoneder on 2021/05/01 21:26
I see several critical responses to the updated app and the fact that many songs will no longer work. Of course, this is sad and it was for myself as many mixes have been lost for the moment. The issue here is not something that Pacemaker decided to do. Spotify stopped supporting dj apps or in other words, will no longer allow music that is in their catalog (spotify) to be accessed via Pacemaker. Pacemaker is trying to do the right thing. They have taken the correct route in licensing music from Sony and Warner. Music is not free. Songwriters created the songs and it is their livelihood. Pacemaker is paying to be able to have access to these songs so that in turn, the writers and publishers of these works get paid for the usage of it. Simple as that. You can’t expect to go to a Dr’s visit and not pay for the work done. So big ups to Pacemaker for doing what is right and ensuring that songwriters get paid their fair share.
Rip off
by masterblender32 on 2021/05/01 00:25
Garbage it’s wants you to pay a subscription
Has been
by Austinmam on 2021/04/27 14:51
Pacemaker was a fun a good app to use. Helps you get used to counting beats and mixing music. However they really sh*t the bed when they changed over the music.... can’t play any of my mixes now nor do we have enough music to even make more. Hopefully they go back to the old or hurry up and get music onto the app again
What is happening
by Rob W (NYC) on 2021/04/24 03:31
I am so sad to say that my Pacemaker no longer works properly and it appears that I am now being hijacked to pay $4.99/week. It worked fine until I began taking the updates. I paid for this application over 4 yrs ago and put it on my iPad and iphone but when I go to tap the link to restore purchase it does not work. I am now left with an app that is useless. $4.99 per week is also highway robbery. I have a gig to do in 2 weeks and I am now in panic mode and so terribly sad that supporting them even paying a fee back years ago does not allow me continued usage. I’ve even sent in fantastic feedback as a deejay and music curator respected the world over for my achievements in the world of soulful dance music. I am one of 11,500 voting members for The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences and signed developed and released a body of of music of 1000 singles and 80 LP’s Licenced signed and appreciated the world over. There’s no way for me to even contact customer support when the application opens up as well. Hopefully someone reads this at the company and does the right thing here reinstating my original purpose.
What the heck happened?
by TBoy#151131 on 2021/04/23 14:26
I used this app along time ago (like 5 years ago) with a free month trial of Spotify premium. I never actually had Spotify premium until now in that time period so I was hyped to use this app again. I come back now I have to pay to use it?! That’s one of the stupidest things ever I don’t understand. There’s not even a free version?
Too exensive!
by genexo on 2021/04/23 09:49
This app was great when it was released They need aimmixer only version i have my own music dont need third party music.
Can’t do anything without paying
by Y0mama25 on 2021/04/23 00:39
Wouldn’t be surprised if I had to subscribe to breathe while having the app open. The concept is cool, however the main purpose of the app is blocked by a payroll.
From Perfect to Good
by CPB.EazyBreezy on 2021/04/22 18:45
I downloaded this app before the move away from Spotify and aside from small technical issues playing, making, and sharing playlist/mixes was the best thing I've ever experienced from an app. Creating a mix is simple enough for anyone to do and fun enough to really make you enjoy different types of music. Not to mention the community shares a love for music and is so welcoming and supportive. My issue now is the shift away from Spotify which made music options limited. Most of my mixes now are too similar for me to really develop any unique sounds. Also the pay wall that limits who you can share your created sounds with. However there is enough music and variety to still get a kick out of making a mix and the music options are slowly growing so it's not all bad. If you enjoy music, you'll enjoy this app and for $4.99/week it's worth it. Especially if you can get friends to pay and collab/enjoy on your mixes.
Forced subscription
by evrydymshuffln on 2021/04/20 21:25
THIS IS TRASH!!!! It forces you to subscribe and pay money. Why not just make the app paid. This is stupid
this app was good before spotify stopped syncing with it
by ndoxbebidhrnir on 2021/04/18 22:24
this used to be good when it synced with spotify and had every song and you could use it for free. now you have to pay for it and there's only like a tenth of the songs you'd want on here
Updated Version is Useless
by maddyt53 on 2021/04/16 05:08
I used to LOVE this app and use it constantly even just to listen to music, but ever since they switched to this new version that requires you to subscribe its completely useless. None of the music I want to mix is even available to play anymore ! I lost all my mixes in the update because I can’t even play any of the songs. If you’re gonna try to make something useful for people to get into DJ-ing, maybe don’t minimize your audience by leaving out a whole realm of electronic and club subgenres.
Have to pay monthly subscription
by Leigh Jane Mar on 2021/04/15 04:20
I used to love this app but now they won’t let me play any of my mixtapes unless I pay a monthly subscription. Don’t recommend this app unless they change the feature back.
You were good
by Forced to on 2021/04/14 13:40
You were so good when it was free. Spent hundreds of hours on it at night, between classes and when I was down. Helped me learn music but I know that now since you don’t have the right to incorporate Spotify with it you have to make us pay; however, I refuse to pay for Spotify for this. I like mixing music but not to the point I’ll pay for it to mix. The review is solely for turning it from a free app to a MUST pay APP. I’m truly sad that I have to delete it now 😔
A Free Paywall
by ItsAvo_ on 2021/04/13 16:57
The whole app is just a paywall. You have to pay 15$ a month just for a app, I would be okay if some songs were locked behind pay wall but none are.
Don’t be fooled
by johnokfine on 2021/04/13 08:03
Don’t be fooled by the youtube tutorials. Interface is frustrating and clunky to get things right. No recording the mixes so I guess have fun posting it to the internal forum? $5 a week is nothing short of insane for a frustrating app, and by the way, with Spotify you’ll find most songs not available. Steer clear. There are plenty fine free options.
UPDATE RUINED IT.
by MrBeeWax on 2021/04/10 04:32
This app was my Go-To! I had some great mixes that I’d listen to to and from work, and my Spotify would tag team and it was awesome! But here we go, an update that said it would be charging me every week. Then, it got rid of most of the music. So half of my mixes are no longer vibing! I redownloaded but even the features when adding a song, it almost goes nothing with it. Please go back to your old ways!!! I was a huge fan!
Locked
by rossthegardener on 2021/04/08 23:28
In Pacemaker 3.0, it locks you out of the app until you pay a fee of $5.00 a week
What about my paid license 😡
by mmontealvo on 2021/04/08 19:47
I read all the complaints. The fact that you want to try a new business model, doesn’t give you the right to discontinue the previously paid licenses, and in-app purchases. By ignoring paid customer’s legitimate complaints, makes it worse. 😡 After a long silence, Pacemaker decided to answer to the complaints with a template excuse. The apology completely contradicts on how pacemaker features the changes on the app store, and in the app. Actions speak louder than words. I am very disappointed. I will escalate with Apple. I want my money back! 😡
Why is the app free??
by FinessingZaddy2104 on 2021/04/08 14:29
What’s the point of making a free app when you have to pay for the main thing they advertise?!?!
What happened?
by Brad Reddell on 2021/04/07 23:01
I have been an active DJ and events music person since the mid-80s. Pacemaker was a phenomenal addition to use for premixed audio and genre events. Apparently now, Spotify is not allowing third-party DJ apps to do any type of mixing, BPM, etc. and this app is now useless. What a shame. I hope this changes as I have now completely stopped using the app. The interface, user friendliness, etc. is phenomenal within this app but without Spotify it simply will not work.
Knocking off a Star
by Jjthehype on 2021/04/07 05:28
Listen! As a music lover, enthusiasts and music creator, this app was the best thing on the App Store. Like they all say good things can’t last forever we all know the reason why Spotify isn’t supporting this app anymore; it has to do with revenue streams and artist not receiving royalties. All this app had to do (Pacemaker) was charge the user more which I would have gladly paid. I’d pay up to $25-$30/m for this app because it’s that good and could be even better than it was (multitude of app crashes). Teaching fitness classes, this app changes the game as well as listening to mixes by myself for my own pleasure. Now I can’t even do that with the countless gaps in the music that aren’t even available anymore. It took Spotify 4 years to add Beyoncé’s full discography and it will probably take this app countless years to add the music catalogues from our favorites artists. So thanks for trying to remedy the issue of Spotify and Apple not supporting your app but no thanks. Fun while it lasted. Leaving 4 stars for the good memories of using this app but I will not pay $16.99 for an 1/8 of the music available to me as before. Work on fixing the issue. Raise the price even and I’ll be back once the music is back.

Making me pay even thought I have Spotify?
by Matt Cheever on 2021/04/04 16:19
I used this app a while ago when it was in its first stages but I lost my premium for Spotify so I couldn’t use the app which I understand but now you have to pay $5 to even use it? I loved this app but now it’s just gonna get deleted.
Dramatic drop in music availability
by stevendodson on 2021/04/03 21:26
This app used to have a really wide selection of music since it was integrated with Spotify. It still is linked, but I can really only access about 10% of the music that I want to use. The app isn’t very forthcoming about it. I made a long mix from last year that’s entirely unlistenable now because of all the removals- and these aren’t really obscure songs either. Until Pacemaker figures out how to get a much wider array of music on here it’s a pretty functionally hopeless app. If things change I’d be happy to re-subscribe though. It’s a shame- it was previously a 5 star app. Bummer.
Changed
by ok so basically on 2021/04/02 21:47
I got this back in October. Most of it was free but i could still play off of Spotify. Know they make me pay for Spotify.
Reasons why I deleted this app
by CjKraze on 2021/04/02 19:57
So my question is, why are u guys making people pay to use the app? like dang is y’all really that broke? This app is not worth $5 a week just to use the entire app. You guys could’ve atleast made another app that is actually worth $5 and not a week but a month. In conclusion I’m saying this app should be completely free because u guys are playing urselves out of users on the app .
This app isn’t good
by Dylan6855 on 2021/04/01 06:27
The app is not free at all! Once you download it they want you to play about 5/ weekly. The apps was in fact free during the summer of 2020.
AWFUL
by Jimmy From State Farm 43 on 2021/03/31 01:58
All the developers do is respond to reviews with the same bot response. This app can’t be used for a reasonable price, it should be FREE.

Money grabbing in effect now
by Al In EFX on 2021/03/29 12:40
Imagine: having a customer pay $40 a year for the app, and it works well for over 5 years. Then they decide to go for the cash crab and increase it to almost $200 a year and making it WORSE! That’s what they’ve done to this app. And if you’ve got a yearly plan, the app (after asking for a while) just wholesale switches you to the new option (where you can’t sync songs from your library EVEN if you have Apple Music, nexuses the old subscription hasn’t ended and you can’t pay for the new one yet). Just a disaster. Almost like they “Whedonized” the app, like Joss Whedon totally destroyed a great movie like Justice League. Avoid! And this is coming from a former supporter and promoter of this app.
Too expensive
by DJAKay117 on 2021/03/28 21:09
So it’s a great app, I loved it when I could use it for free. But then they made it to where you have to pay $5 weekly. That’s not worth it, honestly, while like I said it’s a great app and I love it, and used it all the time and even used it to stream music more then I even used any other music streaming platform, it’s still just not worth $5 a week. Some of us have lives and bills and insurance and debt and have things to take care of financially and we just can’t afford freaking $5 a week. If it was $5 a month I would absolutely subscribe, right away too. But until then I just can’t afford it. So it’s up to you whether or not you feel this app is worth the money or not. I’d say no, but it is a great app.
Cant even use the app anymore
by Kfhsyajhdjd on 2021/03/25 17:24
I’ve had pacemaker on my devices for years and really enjoyed it. Paid for all the extra effects and now I cant use the app without paying for a monthly subscription. It costs me more to use this app than it costs for me to have a spotify premium account. Really bummed that the time has come to delete this app. Thanks developers for making an awesome app something that I cant even use now.

by retroflyingsaucerpong on 2021/03/22 18:43
Free version is absolutely unusable. Personal music library is inaccessible and old mixes have been wiped. Not everyone streams their music and it's rude to assume people want to pay for a streaming service AND this app. Instead of brightening my day, I'm now frustrated. Horrible. Deleted.
Horrible. Just horrible.
by biiig bobbbn on 2021/03/18 17:11
I am beyond disappointed in your decision to leave Spotify. I get that you wanna be your own thing, but all of your users were enjoying the app just the way it was. None of us wanted this, none of us asked for this, none of us even thought that Pacemaker being with Spotify was an issue. Now, most of my songs aren't even available, making my mixes feel unsatisfactory. I've also noticed that the transitions have seemingly gotten worse. You guys gotta get your act together, because I am DEFINITELY not the only one who is understandably ticked off by your random decision to just completely abandon Spotify.
absolutely horrible update - deserves 0 stars
by Aerosmith87 on 2021/03/16 04:56
This used to be a great app but after the latest update it is completely unusable. I had some really great mixes from the music that i purchased and now you are forced to pay a subscription @ $5/week. Its a complete rip. Great job on ruining a perfect app!
Quality Dip
by luminairelight on 2021/03/14 17:48
I’ve been an avid user of Pacemaker for years. It’s no longer the amazing app it used to be. All my past in-app purchases were nullified due to the swap to a subscription-based model. I can accept the lost of Spotify integration due to Spotify’s own policy changes, or new features locked to subscribers. However, taking away what I paid for is unacceptable.
No Spotify Ruins App
by Wilfredo A Luciano on 2021/03/14 07:48
I get that pacemaker would like to advertise being independent from Spotify as a good thing. But as I see it without the instant integration of your current Spotify or Apple Music library this app becomes far more of a chore to use. for me personally the ability to transfer over to this app after carefully curating a playlist on Spotify really hinders the amount of time I’ll end up spending inside of this app. this app is what is its subscription service & I don’t think i’ll be returning. While this app lasted it was a really really amazing app to use. There was countless memories that were made sat wouldn’t have been the same without this app. Plus the cost an entry is far too great for me to justify especially in a COVID-19 world where parties are very few and far between. Not having the option to jump into a Spotify playlist that I already listen to regularly and have the version of that playlist seamlessly mixed into something for a party environment just makes this app useless. I know most of this decision is due to API changes with Spotify, but I would really like to see this app return to its original form in some capacity if I were to make a return.
Old purchases now void with update.
by lurkslc on 2021/03/11 05:00
Bought the app and all the in app purchases, just for them to update and switch to a SUBSCRIPTION based app. Now after spending around thirty dollars on the app, I literally can’t do anything with it now. No good.
Used to be one of my favorites. Ruined by greed.
by faseycranco on 2021/03/10 23:04
I was very critical in my last review of the new subscription model. Did some reading and found out this was because Spotify changed how their API works so it’s now much more expensive for Pacemaker to operate. The title of my review is still the same because this app was ruined by greed, just not that of Pacemaker. If you can afford the sub, this app is by far one of the best DJ companion apps ever made.
My DJ Career is Over😢😭😢😭😢😭😢😭
by BOOOOOYAAA! on 2021/03/09 05:34
I’ve been a LONG time user and practiced day and night for years to master this app and it’s completely change. Unlike most people, I didn’t mind paying the $16.99mth for the value of the previous app. However, this new upgrade is just more the same 😢. The search for specific songs is extremely slow or probably just doesn’t work which completely devalues the entire program. I’m assuming you can only play from the pre-made mixes in the Discovery option. Sad to say but Spotify has forced my favorite app to (potentially) tank 😢😭. Hopefully you guys can bounce back from this or Pacemaker will need a Pacemaker here soon I’ll pay $40mth if I can have the old app back!
This app was good back then

Subscription?!
by Kyndal Ellis on 2021/03/07 02:30
I just downloaded this and as soon as it tells me “my first mix” i have to pay a monthly fee. Is it cheaper than other typical subscriptions? Yes. Is it reasonable? No. What’s the point if you can’t even do anything without paying? You might as well just make the app itself cost money.
Come back to the app was a mistake
by user4794: on 2021/03/06 09:31
I used this app through the beginning of quarantine, loved it. It was free and I made some very impressive mixes. I decided to come back to the app and now all my mixes don’t work (half the songs aren’t playable) and I can’t even look up the same songs from top artists. Why am I required to pay $20 a month if I can’t use any song that I want? Doesn’t make sense to me.
Nope
by Bashbach1 on 2021/03/06 06:41
I used this app for a short period of time through a close friends iPad, and here is what I got: 1. Cool music 2. Some fun 3. Some solid songs 4. A massive bill for my bestie This is the problem, you MUST pay to use the service, and people, it’s not worth it Yea it’s got some good features and all but Paying hundreds of dollars a year for an AI that you can get on your computer for free is not worth the money
What about my library
by richmann77 on 2021/03/05 20:31
Another app moving to subscription. Another app that I will be deleting. Sad. This was a great app. I see that you keep referencing Spotify as the reason for your switch to subscription only but what about music stored on the device. Why can’t I just play the music I already own? If there was a one time payment I would pay but subscriptions for apps that get used occasionally are a rip off.
Cool

by upstreamsalmon on 2021/03/02 06:31
I used to use this app’s limited free features to create mixes. Recently, they updated their subscription plans and now everything I’ve created over the years is behind a paywall to even listen to. Goodbye Pacemaker.
Bad first impression.
by Zaviom on 2021/03/01 17:39
I saw this app being used on tik tok and I thought I would give it a try. As soon as I open it I getting a message to subscribe to your service. I was about to til I saw how often I have to pay. $5 per week? $240 a year? I'm sorry but this service is not worth more than the music services that you all use to make your service work.

I purchased all the effects A few years back and I’ve been enjoying this app ever since now after this update I somehow cannot use it anymore to DJ I have to have a subscription to DJ while I already had power all the in app of purchases so for you guys to do that and not at least let people that have had this out for years now like stick with that or allow them to have that option which is DJ on that I use app it makes no sense I am very disappointed this is not an any Wayfare and get business I think you guys should consider reading this and changing your policy or just no subscription at least for me and those I have had this out for years now I depend on it since I’m a DJ and I can’t be paying for a subscription I just so dumb when there was no subscription to be paid a few months ago this is what you call innovation progress well I don’t see it I just see it as another way to make more money from us
Not worth it anymore.

When this app was free, I LOVED it. It had every single song I had saved on Spotify and stayed super fun to use, even without the full payed version you got a lot out of it. Sure there were bugs that required you to restart the app, but even with those it was still such a great way to pass time. With the new update however, you are required to pay if you want to use any songs that you actually listen to and want to use. On top of that, the bugs are still present, and the song Library has been completely stripped. Why would I pay $5/weekly for not even 1/3 of songs that they used to have available? All and all in my opinion the app is terrible now. I was pretty sad that I had to get rid of it.
A few “great” things about the new update
by Dpaul Dquan Lucy on 2021/02/25 05:54
Update 3.0 was amazing I really loved these features: - you can no longer play 99% of your songs - you have to pay for pacemaker + to do anything now - Previously purchased effects from way back to before + are no longer usable without paying for a premium service (because you can’t use the app without a subscription) - the app is slower than slow - hopefully you want to pay 5 dollars a week to listen to like 10 percent of your previously made playlists! This update really knocked it out of the park! Great job! What the heck happened to this app. There is NO reason that I shouldn’t be able to use Pacemaker like I have been for the past 4 years. I paid for the ability to use features in this app and now I can’t even use those features without paying for a subscription. These guys are crooks. It doesn’t really matter though because even if I could still use the app without paying 20 bucks a month they quit supporting like 99% of there music anyway. Overall do not download.
What happens with the money I spent buying the addons?
by sflv96 on 2021/02/24 01:26
Will the users who believed in this app and paid for it be reimbursed, or given an automatic subscription?
Long Time User Cancelled
by Crazy Excalibur on 2021/02/23 22:07
I’ve been a long time user and absolutely loved this app. Unfortunately the price has just sky rocketed. In that process the app hasn’t been made that much better. This costs more than what I pay for Apple Music for my entire family and Apple Music has way more music. If this app was better, like consistent across iPad and iPhone, AND if I could stream my mix tapes via Apple Watch it might be worth the price. The only thing the Apple Watch is good for is a remote control to your phone, which it’s been like this for years. Make the Apple Watch stream the mixes so I can use this expensive app when I go on runs and I might consider the cost. I pay for an entire office suite from Microsoft for less. It’s just too expensive.
They messed up a great app

This app was perfect then they added the subscription. I have no problem with the subscription but now most songs won’t play from spotify will be erasing this app

Its amazing i just upgraded my iPad i have paid for this app way before it came with weekly subscription and i had full access i spend for all the packages and unlocks now is like it stole all my money I have no way to use it even so I have restore all my purchase it does not let me use it freely like i used to I understand there’s money to be made but for your first customers that put faith on the app when no one did this just a rip off.
Honest review
by Ninaa73 on 2021/02/20 17:58
The app was amazing when using Spotify to fuel its music. You were able to play playlist without have to pay for a subscription. The subscription value was worth the price tag. But now it’s different. You have to pay to PLAY a playlist. Only options is $4.99 a week! Paying $20 for playlist that’s limited on its music selection is just not realistic. I understand separating from Spotify was not under their control but this approach is not sustainable. Stick to paying a subscription to Spotify or Apple Music.
Unable to see my old account
by angry customer Dan on 2021/02/20 16:11
A while back when I first used this app I purchased several in app purchases like sounds , effects, and many more . But now not only did they scrap all of my playlists but also took away all of the add on’s that I had bought already. On top of all this it is now forcing me to pay 4:99 in order to even hear a playlist let alone mix . I used to live this app , now it’s just going to sit in a pit because nobody will pay that price .
It was great..then 3.0
by DarrenWasHere on 2021/02/20 04:59
No other app auto mixed my local music (from my CDs, on my phone via iTunes) like Pacemaker 2.8.10. I never used Spotify, I never streamed, just listened to my music in my car, mixed beatmatched by Pacemaker. But a new phone forced me to download the latest version. Pacemaker was amazing but 3.0 ruined that. Actually 2.8.12 broke it, then 3.0 killed it. For whatever reason (even if you don't use Spotify, and don't stream) you are not allowed to listen to music you own (music *not* purchased from Apple) unless you pay. This is new in Pacemaker 3, in 2.x you could listen to mixes from local iTunes mp3s, mixes that didn't include anything from Spotify. That's gone now. It's Pay or no play. There are a few good ones out there that don't charge you to listen to your own music (Djay, Splyce). Not sure why Spotify and/or streaming can't just be set as a in app option for recurring payments and add another option for local music playing as a one time in app purchase. Pacemaker I'll miss you but you've gone bonkers with this mandatory pricing and liscencing of Spotify music. Headed to Djay or Splyce. Zero stars.
Garbage
by ehebagajtv on 2021/02/20 01:58
this app always harassed you every time you opened it and now it’s purely P2P. Doesn’t include any music subscription, pay $20 a month for a buggy version of gapless playback. who do you think is making a DJ career off of this app that you need to charge soo much?
Can't listen to music or make music.

by rafaelhdza on 2021/02/17 17:42
After years of using this app, I’m sadly forced to delete it, and here’s why. It never supported Apple Music, or Tidal streaming services. Every time there was an update or I have to reinstall the app, my playlists were unusable because the app didn’t recognize the local files from my library. You weren’t able to back up, store your playlists outside the app. They never added new mixing effects to the iPhone version. There were pop ups every time you open the app or the layouts would overlap to each other. Now everything costs insanely amounts of money that literally no over music or dj app charges. From a software developer perspective, this app is a big miss. You didn’t listened your audience or feedback to make new changes, and lower the costs. If you think you can make profit with this business model, I’m sorry but you need to rethink that and start from scratch.
Really sad
by actor1985aab on 2021/02/16 19:22
I understand that Spotify pulled access to this app, but sadly, this app is now useless. Heartbroken as I had tons and tons of playlists including the DJ set I used for my wedding. So many memories rendered obsolete over night.
Revert 3.0
by Cool boy of awesome coolness on 2021/02/16 19:15
I have all of my music downloaded onto my iTunes for a reason, why am I not allowed to use those? I understand Spotify cut off integration but from what it looks like, even if I did pay more than what it costs to buy a full-fledged DAW, I still wouldn’t even be able to play music that’s only on places like bandcamp. Used to be good, now it’s just a paperweight taking up space on my device
Garbage
by tedtinyboy on 2021/02/16 14:29
This app is garbage now. Half the songs from Spotify don’t sync any more and that’s the platform I use every single day. I am not switching platforms just for this app. I’ve used this app for years and now can’t use any of my playlists.. what a shame
Apple Music
by SmiffC on 2021/02/16 13:59
I can’t access a single one of my songs from Apple Music. They’re all locked under DRM protection. I’m wondering what the point of the app is then?

by LoweEnd45 on 2021/02/15 14:38
This app used to be really nice, it was cool to make original mixes from my liked songs on Spotify, but the most recent update has ruined the experience. The amount they are trying to charge for a membership, when they recently reduced the library of songs you can access is trash. Disappointing to say the least
New Update
by mishasham01 on 2021/02/14 22:40
This new update is garbage. 1st, you can’t use the app without paying anymore. 2nd, barely any songs are even available now... before my whole library was available, now maybe 5-10% of it is. Put the app back to what it was... no one is paying $5 a week for this.
It’s pointless
by Bish-bish on 2021/02/14 17:40

by cjvanamusic on 2021/02/14 16:23
Pacemaker was great when you could sync your Spotify premium account and create mixes based on your library. You literally can’t even create mixes from your own playlists without paying $5 a week. Kinda ridiculous and unusable now. Not even worth downloading.

Horrible!
by 10026 on 2021/02/13 12:58
It used to be the greatest until we were forced into this new version that literally destroyed countless hours of mixes I produced. In addition, they have the nerve to increase the subscription price to a ridiculous amount. I’m cancelling immediately. Should be ashamed! Horrible!!!
Really guys?
by Stathomfitness on 2021/02/13 11:27
I’ve been using this with Spotify forever. I understand they cut you guys off but now the only way to use this is pay weekly? WTH? Your disclaimer for weeks has been “don’t worry we licensed a bunch of tracks. You’ll be fine.” You didn’t tell us you were cutting us off completely unless we pay $5 a week. I’ve now lost all my mixes for years. I can do anything without being taken to a screen to make me purchase a weekly membership. Thanks. Less functionality, higher price. Deleting this app now. You all handled this very poorly.

End of a Era
by Icedow42 on 2021/02/11 20:23
Pacemaker has my favorite app to use. I had tons of mixtapes for any occasion that I could share with friends and family. Unfortunately, the removal of Spotify catalog makes the app useless. I paid for the membership to see what songs were included in their new platform and it’s next to nothing. You can’t make a mix of their are no songs and my old mix are full of blanks. Sad to see it go. I wish they planned this transition better because I can see them losing a lot of fans of older platform.

The older version was better
by Milla Jovovich's fan 1# on 2021/02/11 08:42
The older version allowed me to create various playlists that synced with each song and was perfect and I loved it. NOW, I have to pay 4.99 to even start a new playlist and I can’t even play the ones I’ve already made! All of that time spent is over because of these updates. Bring back the older version and stop trying to make the Pacemaker+ forced.
$4.99 a week Ridiculous
by sandrosidella on 2021/02/11 03:04
I LOVED this app. Now they completely ruined it. Sony and TIDAL can’t even match the content from my Spotify Premium as well as my apple library and to top it all off they want to charge $4.99 a week - $20.00 a month. Not even a discounted rate for the loyalist like myself who have been a member with Pacemaker from the beginning and purchased every FX addition. SAD to have to say good bye.

What genius made the Spotify decision?
by AlchemicFudge on 2021/02/10 18:24
Sitting in some stuffy board room, an executive decided to that it was time for their little app to take on Spotify by signing deals with two major labels. And, of course, our users will pay $5 a week for this brilliant plan! Wrong. Removing Spotify was the dumbest thing to happen, greatly limited the libraries of creators everywhere. Just because you’re one of the biggest doesn’t mean you’re the only game in town, and users, like myself, will start to flock away from this DJ app for casual peeps.

by sobs soxs on 2021/05/10 18:45
Hey developers if you could respond to this that would be amazing but honestly it’s pretty cool so far I just got it and it’s pretty simple and straight forward but if these got added I’d never get off this app😂 -being able to control the volume at different points.
Almost love at first sight
by jingai on 2019/03/26 02:11
Where to start? Was getting into it... tried to add a new effect. All it suggests is some crazy $5 A WEEK subscription. Sorry, this is NOT a $260 a year app by any means. Where are the individual effect purchases listed on the App Store? That’s super reasonable and a pretty awesome business model. Then I’m getting used to it and getting into it and jamming, then suddenly it jumps to the very beginning of my mix and I’m like what the heck is going on?! Where’s the play head? Sorry. This app is so desperately needed... perfect working and functional contrast to the other lead dj app here. Fix the biz model and back button UX mess, and you could win. Do NOT make this a forced subscription for FX. Check reviews of that other app, and you’ll see they get nothing but grief from let down customers. Good luck. Hope you make the right choices. I was seriously ready to give you $10 right off the bat for the FX pack, but can’t even figure out how to do that the UX is so bad. Way to ruin our first date. Don’t want to, but maybe have to move on.
Most expensive app I pay for, is it worth it?
by evanovich555 on 2019/04/17 19:49
I pay more than any other app for this, $15 every 3 months....and EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I load up the app I am confronted with “Do you like Pacemaker? Leave us a review! No? Tell us why!” and have to perform thumb gymnastics to get to the TINY X at the very top right of my 8+ screen. Their blatant disregard of the “In-App Ratings & Reviews” setting in the appstore (and Apple’s lack of enforcement) are very disenchanting for my most expensive app. I second other reviews about the dismay of the fx being subscription based. I understand the “it costs money to make all the wheels go around and provide our users with a killer app and constant upgrades” mentality but that doesn’t jive with the amount of money the developer makes from sales of the vast and unique data harvested from us users. Not to mention they most likely already have oodles of venture capital... YES the ui/ux is way slick. However, navigating around users, globals, recommends is a cumbersome nightmare. The inability to adjust the BPMs from track to track is a joke and almost defeats the entire purpose. WHY ARE THE IPAD APP AND THE IPHONE APP SO RADICALLY DIFFERENT!? The features avail on ipad are sorely needed on the iphone version and vice versa. Again, for the amount of money I pay, I would expect more. All these rants aside, I still use the app and the automix feature does a freakishly good job most of the time.

A Cluster of Bad UI with confusing and pointless features.
by ComedyDZN on 2019/12/20 00:31
I feel like the developers wanted to make a sleek and fluid app UI, which I totally applaud. It’s almost 2020 and ugly apps just aren’t it. That being said, there is an extent to which trying to oversimplify stuff that already works just doesn’t help. Navigating the app is an absolute NIGHTMARE. Confusing main menus literally make it so hard to find the simplest stuff. I was in the middle of my 300 minute playlist of the Godspeed You! Black Emperor playlist and decided to go looking at other playlists; but when I was scrolling through the laggy and annoyingly heavy-feeling public playlists, it would select a random playlist because it cares more about being a good looking, fundamentally broken, and annoyingly dumbed down app. You guys feel like it is a good idea to restrict so much view space and go for this abomination of an app style. Seriously reconsider.

Great Idea, Poor Execution
by Animaldrummer04 on 2017/10/02 21:01
On a surface level, this is a great app. I appreciate the BPM analyzer recommending potential next tracks when building a playlist, and the editing ability (pro subscription) is good. However, for the life of me I cannot understand why - if you were only going to allow playlist creation and editing on one platform - you would choose iPhone over iPad. Maybe the developers are under the impression that “less is more” when it comes to screen real estate, but I’m here to tell you that that is not the case. At all. Very frustrating having to edit on such a small screen - and I have a 6s+! For this reason, I am searching for another (more user friendly) way to edit my playlists. My sausage fingers have had enough with this app.
New 3.0 version is completely unsatisfactory
by 5incl4ir on 2020/12/18 01:35
I have been using this app and paying for it for the last several years and absolutely loved it. But since this new 3.0 update,I can only access a quarter of the songs from my old mixes. A 60 min playlist is now 15 min long at best. Not only can I not use my mixes anymore but everyone else’s mixes only have about a 1/4 of the songs in them as well. The selection that is available on there now is unsatisfactory to say the least. If pacemaker cannot get access to all of these songs back, I will have to cancel my subscription and use another app such as Rock My Run or Fit Radio instead. This app created a passion for me in making my own playlists for my classes. I feel like a part of me is lost now without it. Do not get this app unless they can get the rights back to all of the music they previously had! Make this right Pacemaker
Good app
by jonatheibart on 2019/03/15 17:53
Though I wish it worked with Apple Music (which I know is beyond the developers’ control and is the same for all these types of apps) this app is definitely the best of its kind. That being said there are various glitches, like sometimes it plays the songs as if they have been mixed but doesn’t show that they have been and doesn’t allow you to move the tracks and edit them; restarting the app usually fixes this but not always. Also I wish there was an easier way to choose the order of the tracks rather than scrolling endlessly, and I wish that you could import a whole playlist in the order that the playlist is in rather than mixing a few songs from it.
You need some serious updates
by Imbad3423 on 2019/12/31 13:36
I’m a set it and forget it type of guy. With that being said I purchased this app so I could make kill playlists with the feel of a DJ controlling everything. Using this app started of as a good thing but as of late as I’ve been using this app the playlists have been crashing halfway at random spots and cutting short of the playlist times. Since use this app for my group fitness classes these crashes in the app makes for uncomfortable silences at points in the class in which the energy from the music is needed most. I’ve tried emailing support but they don’t seem to really care. If this continues to be the case and updates aren’t made to solve this problem then I will have no issue with cancelling my subscription.
This used to be a good application.
by micah 44 on 2017/11/16 19:01
As a completely blind person who is a DJ, are used to love this app. Granted, manually mixing on other apps is doable on the iPhone, but without any physical controller in my hand, it was more difficult. This app was even smart enough to change the EQ of the tracks depending on what part was playing. It was even smart enough to cut the tracks off at the exact times, just like a normal DJ would. However, The update that brought this social features to this app has completely ruined the accessibility, therefore making the app completely useless to people like me. And that was over two years ago, and it has not been fixed. Please make this app accessible again as soon as possible. I actually depended on your app whenever I was too tired to mix myself.
What is happening

I saw this app a long time ago while scrolling through story’s on Instagram, and I thought nothing of it. This time I saw it again, and I thought “hmm, maybe I should just give it a try”. Well dam is it amazing! It may be a little hard to understand how things work at first, But it’s easy to figure out. So nothing to bad. I already made a 3 1/2 hour mix of songs I love! This is a game changer for me and my friends who want a homemade radio station type vibe. And I mean can we talk about the transitions! 👌🏽😩 honestly for me they’re amazing! What can I say, 5 stars my friend.
Great for exercising!!!
by W477Y on 2017/08/05 20:18
I use this app at the gym and while running. I can load any of my iTunes playlists of individual tracks and it's like a DJ is mixing my playlist for me. Granted the transitions from track to track aren't always that great, but other times the transitions are amazing! No more downtime while tracks are ending and starting. The intensity of my runs and work outs has drastically increased because of this app. Some options I'd like to see and even be willing to pay for are... 1.the ability to rate a transition so the app can learn when it's working well and when it's not. 2.When I'm in the lock out screen and I hit the next track button it jumps the current song ahead to where the app was planning on mixing the next track instead of forcing the mix at that point like it will do when inside the app. Again, love this app even though I don't use it for its intended purpose.
Disappointed with performance
by Lisawithtwoboys on 2021/01/28 16:15
I have been a Pacemaker subscriber for more than three years. When many of my playlists lost many songs, I loved the app so much I figured out could make it work. In the last week however, the performance is the app is dismal. It will not pull up tracks in my library it it takes FOREVER to pull them up. My phone and the app are all updated so I know that is not the problem. The search feature for tracks is also horrible. This is incredibly disappointing given that most members are losing a lot of tracks. Now we have a subpar app to deal with too. I’ll give it a few more weeks, and if it doesn’t improve, a subpar app and subpar tracks give me no reason to spend money on it anymore.
Perfect for group fitness
by Emilia R. S. on 2018/12/27 02:39
Really cool app! Highly recommend if you’re a trainer who gets to pick their music for fitness classes. Love being able to create my own mixes without an awkward pause and without having to play the entire song. I’ve had multiple problems with my account login information, my app quitting suddenly, or my subscription (even though I paid for a year already). However, I still rate 5 stars because of the amazing customer service/support team.
There’s no point in buying this
by jayden mogan on 2020/12/06 19:27
When I was getting it it was free so ya know I thought it was gonna be free I could make some pretty good music and mashups but when I loaded in it was just a stupid scam that I had to pay 7.99$ for per month for no reason it’s nothing so idk why I have to pay for it at least just make it free to use and have it free where we could use it there are just some features that require payment instead of making the whole app 7.99$ for nothing
Top in Its Class
by Kcbnyc on 2019/09/25 14:24
Pacemaker is a very cool app. Better than Pyro (IMHO). Will it replace Traktor or DJ Pro? No. However, if you want to throw together a nice mix tape for the workout, party, or road trip then this is a fun And easy app to use. The graphics are great. I love the community of mixers! I can always find excellent mix tapes. If this could detect bars and phrases of tracks, it would be out of this world. $4.95/week is a little steep. Especially since traktor costs around $150. The ability to export the track list would be awesome!
Buggy
by fireant123456789 on 2020/11/12 21:56
Hi, ive been playing with this app for a while now and I loce it. But if I'm going to pay this much for it, I would really appreciate if you guys could squash at least most of the bugs. On my iPhone 12, I have experienced spontaneous crashes, the scrubber completely ignoring me when I touch it with my finger, and most of all, when I add a new song, very often there is not transition that shows up on the timeline and pressing that little lightning button literally does nothing (even when I jam it repeatedly). The fix for all of these issues is always the same, restart the all. But it's frustrating how often I need to do this
New and Frustrated with No Help fr Pacemaker
by MSSLNX on 2019/11/29 22:53
I’m new to Apple products and Pacemaker. I have painfully and unsuccessfully searched for tutorials and information on how to use my iPod and iPad for pacemaker. I can’t change the bpm on my iPod with pacemaker, but I can sync the bpm on my iPad. I can save a plalylist on my iPod, but I can’t save a playlist or mix on my iPad. I can’t use my iTunes on either because my tracks are now with Apple Music. I purchased the year subscription for an app that is not integrated and does not have the same functionality on the iPod and the iPad! Im frustrated and disappointed that I wasted so much money and time in this app, the iPod and the iPad. We have sent emails to Pacemaker and have not received any response.

by Sinai.Daqiqi on 2018/04/18 12:41
Using this app isn’t fun anymore just because of the new technology you’re using. Your team says that the new analyzer technology can’t gather the songs information in the other hand i can’t play with spoty music cause if the net is on push notifications distribs the volume while I’m palying in party. Please make the analyzer work with local musics. It’s getting on my nerves and i have to use other apps that do the same. Please make it happen.
Ha! What a joke for an appp
by greyson1993 on 2020/12/22 21:19
If I could leave 0 stars I would. You thought blocking me on Instagram would keep me from getting the word out but NOPE. For an app the user pays for this thing constantly glitches and freezes. The new update literally wrecked all of your playlist and removed THOUSANDS of songs from the set list to choose from. “Stick with us” they said after 🥴 don’t waste your time or money you will only have about 10% of your music in your library to use. Maybe 1% of that will actually mix and then it will glitch anyway. I’m choosing not to curse so this doesn’t get taken off but rest assure I would if I could.
Why even have the pop up?
by hirophant on 2021/01/29 19:17
Why do you have a pop up every time someone touches their screen? Better yet why even have it be a free download, there is not a single thing in this app that you can do without plus, YOU CANT EVEN LISTEN TO OTHER PEOPLES MIXES THAT THEY POSTED. The pop up that never leaves should not say “get the full experience” because you don’t have anything to begin with. What you should have put is “get the experience” just leave out the full and then it wouldn’t be false advertising and lying to everyone who downloads the app. You couldn’t even put like 20 tracks people could have used to test the app before your greed took over?
My favorite instrument besides guitar
by fishypapas on 2020/04/16 07:41
I’ve been using this app for years to transcribe music. Easy to loop specific parts then slow them down. And it’s great for making loops to practice playing over. I love the flat graphic style of this app and glad the team has resisted the temptation to bloat it with junk. Some nice motion design details all over, from the screen transitions to the little icons that pulse when they’re on. Inspiring stuff.
Great App!
by Juliannn103 on 2021/02/05 09:14
I wanna start by saying that the app is so much fun to use. And easy kinda....the one thing that bothers me is that sometimes the music won’t show up at the top when I search for a song...instead you have to scroll through many random songs to find the song you're looking for. That and the price are the low points of the app. As for everything else 👌👌👌
Don’t Update to 3.0
by SoMichael on 2020/12/17 07:10
I used to love this app. Would use it’s automix feature when I want a simple mixtape for a night walk or drive. I was able to do that for free even if I couldn’t adjust the weird transitions or levels. Something I was fine with. The auto mixing feature on this app is amazing and the best I have seen for a quick to go mix. But unfortunately, you have to pay $8 a WEEK to use this app now. I get every app developer needs money and there are music licensing issues that Pacemaker has been dealing with, but I have no idea why they won’t let free users exist on the app anymore. I have used this app for about a year now and loved it. I wished I could just do a one time buy to keep using it. I would easily pay $15 dollars or so for it, but the subscription model as finally turned me away and made it unusable for free users. I can’t justify spending over 20 bucks a month for a mixing app, and I have a feeling most people won’t either.
Fix ur app❤️
by drebyron on 2020/11/11 08:27
This app is the best at what it does, I’ve tried a lot of these apps. The matching AI is good. The auto mixing isn’t great, but why get a mixing app if you’re not going to do it yourself you know. But my main concern is that at random times this app gets unbearably glitchy. I’ll play around with two songs and when I listen back to the stitch, my actions don’t register and I have to refresh the app to try again. Again, I love this app but it’s been out too long for it to be acting up like it does. Please fix, thanks.
LET US KEEP OUR MUSIC PLEASE
by otfcoachk on 2020/12/17 20:17
As a fitness coach, pacemaker is an amazing app to let us personalize our playlists without having to play with our phone to change songs. I’ve been using this app religiously for years and have about 200 mixtapes I recycle and continue to make new ones. But PLEASE, LET US KEEP OUR MUSIC!! Too many changes in music licensing and we are losing all of our past playlists with updates. Please, keep it the same and let us keep the playlists already made and don’t take our songs away!!
Wow, This is amazing!
by Lbs anderson on 2018/12/31 01:39
I’ve been using this app to create special mixes for different events such as New Year’s Eve and it killed it! Yes, the transitions may be a little bad sometimes, but an app this great has to have at least one flaw. Other apps you have to pay to use or are just to complicated. But not this one! I’ve been looking for an app like this for awhile, so glad I found this!!!!!!!!
So many glitches
by Torismash on 2020/02/19 14:26
Pacemaker glitches constantly. Will not play playlists or gets stuck on the same songs. I’ve submitted for help before with no reply. I recently downloaded pyro to replace it and haven’t had any issues. I absolutely do not recommend pacemaker to anyone especially those that use it for group fitness classes. It’s caused far too many problems and to pay what I do monthly such a simple issue should not be recurring. I’m shocked that there aren’t more reviews stating this bc the company I work for I hear multiple complaints about the same issue daily.
Amazing and so much fun!
by JohnnyDubstarWhite on 2018/02/20 13:11
This app is so awesome. It seas designed very well and makes it incredibly easy to put seamless mixes together. And if you are more experienced you can really blend some tracks together into something special. I’ve mixed a couple playlists together to use while coaching my Orangetheory Fitness classes and they were a hit! And making mixes can be highly addicting! 🤪🙌🏼
It’s really good, except
by PMelissaK on 2018/06/25 18:21
Okay of all the free DJ apps I’ve gotten this one is sooo good and easy to use! However I don’t like that I can’t cut the beginnings off of songs. A lot of songs I can’t use because I want the center of it not the beginning. Idk if I buy it if that’ll change and I don’t want to waste the money if it still doesn’t let me so yeah that’s the only thing I don’t like about it
Honestly I was loving this App until...
by ColeGoddard on 2020/02/19 01:26
It started crashing anytime I tried playing one of my playlists. I’m an instructor and rely on this app to hit sprints perfectly and now I can’t even play music through it anymore. Please for the love of music and teaching fix this immediately. It was very buggy from the beginning often times not letting me edit transitions in the moment or I’d start a playlist and it would only play the first song and then stop. But now I can’t play my playlists at all!
Needs Work
by Unhappy Camper Pro on 2019/02/09 19:54
Unfortunately, the iPhone version is a huge disappointment when compared to the iPad version, the absence of some of the most useful features renders this version useless. It’s essentially an app offering song matching based on BPM as its greatest asset, I don’t want to be unkind, but otherwise it’s just a glorified fade/transition tool. Not useful at all, even with the extra features available for purchase. I’m not sure who could actually find great benefit from using this app. It won’t mix anything for you, which is fine, but it won’t allow you to adjust songs to match each other either, so that part is definitely deceptive. Update: being able to adjust transitions between songs isn’t that groundbreaking. I’m not sure of why the functionality is so limited in the mobile version. Maybe to encourage purchase of the iPad version? I don’t know.
Downloaded and nothing
by jamscottie on 2018/12/30 12:00
As my title says, I downloaded the app and I only get the splash screen. It finally opened and I looked at the mix that was available, saw I have 10 sessions, listened to the one mix that was available, and I get bumped to 6 sessions available.. how is that when I only listen, is that the way the app works? There is a seven day free trail, I’m not dutifully I’m interested...so what’s the deal, I actually get in on Monday , do a mix, listen seven times and it’s Sunday... seven days pass by? Yeah, don’t think I want the hassle or the hustle.
Tempo changer?
by HotDoggggss on 2018/03/05 19:05
Did you take out the tempo feature because that was the only reason I got the app Do you think it would be possible to add the tempo changer to the next update??? I don't have an iPad and I find that feature the most useful? I love the app by the way I just wish it had that one extra feature
Couldn’t be happier than without it!
by Hihihihihihihihibitch on 2020/08/29 10:57
Sorry for the rough riding, glad you made it Bro. All of you included in that gender neutral usage of the word “Bro”, including those I may have forgotten to forgive. I forgive and love and acknowledge and value all of you not to mention I owe you all some big bucks. I’m sure we’ll be able to work it out now that I’ve graduated :). Cool, cool cool cool cool cool cool cool cool beesZzzzzZ.
Please bring the mashup feature free and not a monthly payment thing
by Jklanier143 on 2018/06/04 22:56
I didn’t really meant to say that I want to go to the owner’s house I was just very angry, but if you make the mashup feature free and comes with app first thing it can bring so much more people to the app and not delete right away when they find out that the one main feature of the app is paid because almost no one wants to pay for a feature in a app like digital currency in a mobile app so please make that feature free it will make me and others very happy.
Expensive novelty
by Diddle my fiddle on 2019/12/20 08:41
This app could be pretty useful and more convenient if we were able to save mixes offline, had more control over how we cut the music up, and just general bug fixes. The app tends to get very weird when you use it for prolonged periods. While I understand that not all of this is in their control, what is in their control is the cost, For a fun little novelty they charge $5 a week, or $8 a month!
Great app...with a price
by Sleazynoir on 2020/12/14 20:17
Does everything I want out of a DJ app- music mixing and finding music. The almost too huge of a downside is of course the subscription service which I do want to pay for- albeit it’s 5 dollars a WEEK. Be wary. If you don’t pay the app starts to mysteriously act up and never work quite right however it’s still a great interface and easy way into DJ’ing
Not Working
by ClutchHam on 2018/05/18 15:06
I’m using this app along with my iTunes library (like it says I can). I purchased a 12 month subscription hoping it would let me play my music, but that wasn’t working. I wasn’t even allowed full access to my library even though I payed money. I went to their support page and it was just as useless as the app. I couldn’t even email the group to find a solution without the page glitching out. App is a good idea, just wish it would work because I was really looking forward to using it a lot.
This app has been gutted
by getms420 on 2020/12/18 22:07
What happened to this app can’t even do anything because you have to pay for premium. You pay for premium guess what now you have limited songs to even use so those nice playlist you probably spent hours even days mixing are all now chopped up. So there’s no real way to even fixingThis app even if you’re trying hard enough to work around your limitations I’m disappointed this was the one app that made it easy to mix music now it is just another money hungry trash of a service
Needs to Support Apple Music
by aaplsauce on 2017/07/16 22:18
This application is mind blowing. It is incredible what it's capable of. My only gripe is that I can't use tracks from Apple Music. Not sure what it will take, but this app needs to support Apple Music tracks. Apple, please allow developers to have access to Apple Music tracks for use in fantastic apps like this.
Sooo close
by Ethan Philip Richard on 2019/06/16 02:17
I love this app. I love the concept and everything. But the bugs are getting a little to wild and I would love a 10 dollar charge for premium but not a 5 dollar a week charge. Not worth it for any app on Iphone. I’m absolutely in love with it it’s just now the bugs are getting to out of hand. It doesn’t play my music in order or my mixes and sometimes it refuses to even mix. Please fix the bugs pretty soon but if anybody is reading this give this app a try:)

Rip off

Everything I’ve made, gone.
by upstreamsalmon on 2021/03/02 06:31
I used to use this app’s limited free features to create mixes.
Subscription really?!?!
by ShowtimexE on 2021/03/01 03:11
I purchased all the effects A few years back and I’ve been enjoying this app ever since now after this update I somehow cannot use it anymore to DJ I have to have a subscription to DJ while I already had power all the in app of purchases so for you guys to do that and not at least let people that have had this out for years now like stick with that or allow them to have that option which is DJ on that I use app it makes no sense I am very disappointed this is not an any Wayfare and get business I think you guys should consider reading this and changing your policy or just no subscription at least for me and those I have had this out for years now I depend on it since I’m a DJ and I can’t be paying for a subscription I just so dumb when there was no subscription to be paid a few months ago this is what you call innovation progress well I don’t see it I just see it as another way to make more money from us
Not worth it anymore.
by Elijah Randell on 2021/02/26 20:28
When this app was free, I LOVED it.

Zero stars.
Garbage

this app always harassed you every time you opened it and now it’s purely P2P. Doesn’t include any music subscription, pay $20 a month for a buggy version of gapless playback. who do you think is making a DJ career off of this app that you need to charge soo much?

A missed opportunity
by rafaelhdza on 2021/02/17 17:42
After years of using this app, I’m sadly forced to delete it, and here’s why.
Really sad
by actor1985aab on 2021/02/16 19:22

by Cool boy of awesome coolness on 2021/02/16 19:15
I have all of my music downloaded onto my iTunes for a reason, why am I not allowed to use those? I understand Spotify cut off integration but from what it looks like, even if I did pay more than what it costs to buy a full-fledged DAW, I still wouldn’t even be able to play music that’s only on places like bandcamp. Used to be good, now it’s just a paperweight taking up space on my device

It’s pointless
by Bish-bish on 2021/02/14 17:40
I got this app obviously for FREE but once I had opened the app I had to pay $7.99 a month to actually use is.
Not even worth downloading
by cjvanamusic on 2021/02/14 16:23
Pacemaker was great when you could sync your Spotify premium account and create mixes based on your library. You literally can’t even create mixes from your own playlists without paying $5 a week. Kinda ridiculous and unusable now. Not even worth downloading.
Was so good before you had to pay for everything
by iosplayer1234567890 on 2021/02/14 08:32
Had so much fun with this a few years back, but I come back just to find that you have to pay for everything. Pretty sad.
Horrible!
by 10026 on 2021/02/13 12:58
It used to be the greatest until we were forced into this new version that literally destroyed countless hours of mixes I produced.
Disappointed...
by Helo this is chips on 2021/02/13 08:33
This app was making charges on my Apple account after I had cancelled it. I didn’t even have the app on my phone and it charged 10$.
Rip Off

Don’t bother wasting your money on this.
by Jacquiqui777 on 2021/02/11 20:32
I’ve been an avid Pacemaker user over the past few years for my job, but the new version is terrible. They dropped 75% of their songs. Don’t bother paying money for this. I would look for another app.
Stop

Do not install

What genius made the Spotify decision?
by AlchemicFudge on 2021/02/10 18:24
Sitting in some stuffy board room, an executive decided to that it was time for their little app to take on Spotify by signing deals with two major labels. And, of course, our users will pay $5 a week for this brilliant plan! Wrong. Removing Spotify was the dumbest thing to happen, greatly limited the libraries of creators everywhere. Just because you’re one of the biggest doesn’t mean you’re the only game in town, and users, like myself, will start to flock away from this DJ app for casual peeps.
Subscription really?!?!
by ShowtimexE on 2021/03/01 03:11
I purchased all the effects A few years back and I’ve been enjoying this app ever since now after this update I somehow cannot use it anymore to DJ I have to have a subscription to DJ while I already had power all the in app of purchases so for you guys to do that and not at least let people that have had this out for years now like stick with that or allow them to have that option which is DJ on that I use app it makes no sense I am very disappointed this is not an any Wayfare and get business I think you guys should consider reading this and changing your policy or just no subscription at least for me and those I have had this out for years now I depend on it since I’m a DJ and I can’t be paying for a subscription I just so dumb when there was no subscription to be paid a few months ago this is what you call innovation progress well I don’t see it I just see it as another way to make more money from us
A Cluster of Bad UI with confusing and pointless features.
by ComedyDZN on 2019/12/20 00:31
I feel like the developers wanted to make a sleek and fluid app UI, which I totally applaud.
A missed opportunity
by rafaelhdza on 2021/02/17 17:42
After years of using this app, I’m sadly forced to delete it, and here’s why.
What is happening
by Rob W (NYC) on 2021/04/24 03:31
I am so sad to say that my Pacemaker no longer works properly and it appears that I am now being hijacked to pay $4.99/week.
Pretty amazing app (for me)
by KoaGrenz on 2020/05/17 06:48
I saw this app a long time ago while scrolling through story’s on Instagram, and I thought nothing of it.
Buggy
by fireant123456789 on 2020/11/12 21:56
Hi, ive been playing with this app for a while now and I loce it.

As a fitness coach, pacemaker is an amazing app to let us personalize our playlists without having to play with our phone to change songs. I’ve been using this app religiously for years and have about 200 mixtapes I recycle and continue to make new ones. But PLEASE, LET US KEEP OUR MUSIC!! Too many changes in music licensing and we are losing all of our past playlists with updates. Please, keep it the same and let us keep the playlists already made and don’t take our songs away!!
Wow, This is amazing!
