Love It!

I downloaded the 1secondeveryday app after seeing a friend use it for a while. I was interested in trying it out so I downloaded it and have been using it since the beginning of this year. I watched a TED talk on this app and what to use it for. I liked the idea of not only using the app for the happy moments, or big adventures but also using the app for the small or sad moments. When I go back and watch my month (and one day my year)in review, I remember all those moments that got me to where I am now. Also, I really love not being stuck behind my phone at a concert or on a trip. I can just capture a glimpse of a moment so I can remember it later. I really enjoy this app!
Great App!!!
by Olivia Rodriguez on 2019/06/20 19:35
I have been using your app for the past couple months, and I absolutely love it!! The ability to log a snippet of my day, everyday while being able to look back at it is amazing!! Although a lot of my friends have this app as well, I wish there was a feature where I can follow other users and see the stories that they create/share and post on their profile.
Very cool

Vertical App
by calebhess on 2019/06/16 14:39
This app is so much better in vertical mode. There are many people complaining about the app going vertical, but they will either leave or get used to it. The app world is moving to vertical because of the ease of use overall. This is a great app and I’m happy about the latest innovations.
I was going to download this but......
by CS Murphy on 2019/06/14 15:32
It appears that early adopters are getting the shaft because of selfish subscription annual fees which apps should not have to begin with. Apps should be a one time purchase and that is it. Stop jumping on the bandwagon no one wants to pay 3 to 6 dollars a month for such a Watered down app. I’ll be going elsewhere for 1 second captures. Do something different other than milking money out of people.

I’ve been using this app for at least a year now, and I really enjoy looking back at my memories. However, the new update is horrible on the iPhone X. It freezes every time I try to adjust a video clip. I am disappointed because I really wish I could keep using the app, but I don’t want to have to restart it every time I try to add a second.
Suddenly buggy
by itsandie on 2019/06/12 04:16
Not sure what’s going on, but when I open the app now and tap to add my snippet, it opens up my camera roll then completely freezes. I can’t select anything, can’t get out of the screen, and have to force quit the app. Even after force quitting, when I try again it doesn’t always work. It’s a shame because I love, love, love this app otherwise. Hope it gets fixed soon!
Seven years & counting
by MSTRCRZ on 2019/06/11 12:17
UPDATE 6/10/19: On the vertical update - it's a lot easier than the reviews let on. I find it much faster than before. Small tweaks could enhance the experience but overall - it's great! Putting down year 7 this year. Amazing dedication to the community that follows this application! Really building out features that help continuing the journey.
Can’t find button to take new one seconds in the new update
by Hhsbsbdbd on 2019/06/10 23:27
Why fix something that’s already working? New update has made it harder to use - please stop writing this off as “bugs” - I am complaining about the UI, not any errors.
Will never please some people. At all
by Wolfed Up on 2019/06/08 21:38
I've used this app for a year and a half now. Gives me a great way to simply scroll quickly back through the many memories during that time. Its a great little video diary. I personally have been very pleased with it during that time. I don't pay for the monthly subscription but have never felt that I needed to. It performs well on just the free version and gives me everything I need to create those memories. I can't understand why people want to beat on it. Yes, I do like the vertical format better. I think it's well developed and you'll be hard pressed to find anything that does the job as well, much less better. FOR FREE! I will say this, after a year and a half it will take up some memory on your phone. Cloud backups???? I'd pay for that.
So fun!
by hbb930 on 2019/06/07 13:10
I love being able to capture moments and save them. Then reflect back over the month(s). It reminds me to not just snap the big moments but everyday little moments. So fun!
Umm???
by girl with a love for seconds on 2019/06/06 19:26
Ok so let me tell you: I LOVE this app. I use it everyday to take videos of my friends and can’t wait to see how it all turns out at the end of the year. All of my friends want to be in my one second each day, and they have fun deciding on what to do in the second that they have. But recently, something has been different. I’m unable to take a long video, and then chop it down into a second. Rather, the app takes a random portion of the video and puts it in, and it doesn’t let me choose the part of the video that I want. Maybe there’s a step I’m missing or a button I’m supposed to push? But I never had to do anything before and it would just let me do what I had to do to the video. If chopping the video has become a premium thing, I am more than disappointed. And so, even though I love this app and the idea behind it, I cannot give it a full 5 stars. Thank you for your time, hopefully this is a just a lil problem or I’m doing something wrong :)
Vertical format is bad
by zeus423 on 2019/06/06 02:13
Sort the reviews by Most Recent and you'll see the loyal fans do not like the vertical format. 1SE is burying their heads in the sand and marching on anyway. A perfect app is now an awful app.
Super easy and cute
by SValerie1 on 2019/06/03 10:40
It’s super easy to put together a monthly mashup, especially with live photos on an iPhone. The app finds the photos from the day you need and you can trim it quickly down to size. The results are absolutely the sweetest things. I keep rewatching the months that I’ve put together.
AMAZING PRODUCT-but... 4.7 stars (if I could)
by hopefuly-helpful! :) on 2019/06/03 06:48
*I love this app sooo much but do have some recommendations *I have been a big fan of all the updates except one— the unlimited pro part *I bought this app when it was $6 (unsure if it is free now) because not only had I heard such great things, liked the result and found that the free apps that were on the market weren’t as good *Putting the money into the app I was fine with but once some new options popped up that I was interested in using but were locked because they wanted a subscription seemed a little much to me *The app is absolutely worth getting it’s just the subscription part that I’m not a fan of but if you’re on the fence definitely go for it *I struggle with anxiety and depression and try to use this app to remind myself of the good even if it is just for one second in a day *this has truly been such a great product

I lost everything
by Savanna Bananas 23 on 2019/05/31 21:25
I have been using this app since January 1st in order to create a cute digital memory book of 2019. I have been super good about remembering to record at least 1 second everyday! I recently switched from an iPhone 7 to an iPhone XS Max and when I re-downloaded the app and logged in — it was to my surprise that the “free” version of the app only allows iCloud to backup 5 snippets. So now I am stuck with my memories from January 1st-5th and I LOST EVERYTHING ELSE. I refuse to pay for an app like this. I’m extremely disappointed that the developers are this greedy. I don’t understand the logic behind only allowing 5 of MY PERSONAL videos to backup???? You’re seriously going to make me pay for what IS MINE?!?!!?! I just hope no one else makes the mistake I did by downloading an app that will scam you out of your own memories & videos
Amazing app
by ._.Ginger._.Ale._. on 2019/05/29 18:58
I got this app around new years so I could write about my year and watch 2019 go by this upcoming December. I love it. Using the landscape mode was quite difficult, but now that they changed it to portrait orientation, it helped so much. I enjoy writing about my day and going back to see what went on a few months ago. This was the best app I think I’ve downloaded in a while and i will totally keep using it for a while! Keep up the good work, and I can’t wait to see future updates!

Clips gone
by StephanieSchnurpfeil on 2019/05/28 06:39
While backing up and restoring 30clips to my new phone 76 others were deleted. I had a total of 108 and backed up and restored 30 of the latest ones and when I tried to to the second 30 the 76 that weren’t backed up were gone. The app needs to fix it so you can back all up without having to pay monthly. It’s bs
Great app!!
by tina.at.the.disco on 2019/05/24 19:38
Love this app! My suggestion though is to add a volume slider as an edit after you pick your snippet since I often forget and then it's time consuming to try to choose the snippet over again just to adjust the volume. Thank you!
New update kept me as a customer
by Gjp426 on 2019/05/20 05:06
The fact that you can use the phone in portrait mode means the app just got so much for useful for me. I love filling out the journal at the end of the day. A few suggestions: Add a “on this day” feature to look back on snippets and journal entries from this day in previous years. Sorry if this exists. I’m not there yet. Allow me to add a prompt in the journal after writing some. I like to do my day recap and then think a prompt would be nice. Maybe in future versions you could even let us customize the journal section into more than one field. So I could have “What happened today”, “what made you happy” or whatever other question I want to answer each day (including an option to have a field for random prompts). Keep up the great work!
Always been Great!

I’ve used this app for some time and have loved watching our kids grow and reliving all the memories. I haven’t experienced any real issues and continue to love it as much today as always. The only thing on my wish list is support for the iPad.

My MIL Loves This!
by DeMoonSta310 on 2019/05/18 15:36
I put together a Freestyle compilation video for my family’s vacation in November 2018. Super excited to do this. Everyone sent me videos/photos for the special “Vacation Memories Video.” It took some time to put together with the incompatibility of Android and Apple but with WhatsApp’s help it was a success! I didn’t send it right away so when my Mother-In-Law asked about it I went on ahead and sent it to everyone. She was thrilled! Kept watching it over and over again. The she designated me as the Vacation Memory Videographer 😆. Can’t express how much I still enjoy this app after over a year now! ❤️
One of the few apps I use EVERY DAY!!!

Wow. Great is all i can say
Love this app
by Lauren0130 on 2019/05/15 01:44
This is an incredible app. One thing I would like to see in the next update is, when mashing a video, choosing custom dates; not just a start and end date, but choosing day by day which snippets to include in a finished video. Otherwise, the app is awesome.
needs a feature to edit previous snippets
by fiona12348 on 2019/05/15 00:42
i really like this app and it is so great to look back on old memories, but we should be able to edit old snippets. there’s no way to edit one, it’s either replace or share. if i wanted to turn a previous vertical video and make it horizontal or vice versa. while i can do this when i’ve just created my snippet, i cannot go back and edit it which is annoying. this app is really great, but i do believe that we should be able to edit previous snippets.
Thank You
by Wutie on 2019/05/13 18:59
I heard about this app through a TED talk. I downloaded it and never looked back. I love the “reminders” set as helpful quotes.
The Best App Ever!!!
by BellTailor on 2019/05/12 02:25
I’ve had this app all of 2018, and now half of 2019 and it’s so awesome and easy to use!!! I’ve recommended it to so many people who now love it also! It’s such a fun way to capture your year’s memories through small little videos! Also, I had the app before the update and I love how the people behind it are continuing to improve the app and keep making it incredible! Such a great app and would definitely recommend!!!

Good app except for log-in issues
by Coopwv on 2019/05/06 12:57
Apparently every time you sign-out you have to create a whole new account before you can sign back in. This erases your previous videos off the app.
Not anymore
by brookie6624 on 2019/05/04 21:22
Liked it when i got it. Sucked it up & decided to pay monthly for it. They added this new subscription, so now I can’t edit or trim my videos. what’s the point then? I cancelled my monthly payment and have stopped using the app. I’m not paying $30+ for an app.
My philosophy students love this app
by siringa1 on 2019/05/02 00:31
Discovered via the TED talk, this app turned out to be a great vehicle for my philosophy class to think about the nature of time and authentic being. We used the app for a month and watched our mashups together. Even though school ends soon, many plan to keep going! Love it.
What the heck
by MattSmith2121 on 2019/05/01 20:38
The music on this app for the mashing options is awful. All remind me of a cartoon for elementary kids to learn their ABC’s. Need “My Music” to actually be completed. Thanks
The new update is horrible. Most free features are now paid.
by Ahvamaria on 2019/04/29 16:26
Just a money maker now, many free features were taken away. Uninstall, found a better app. Sad. Great way to ruin a good app.
Taking away features
by dirty630dg on 2019/04/29 03:24
Can’t choose 1.5 seconds anymore or 2 vids in 1 day!!!!! Stop taking away the features I ALREADY PAID FOR
Almost in love with this app
by Kaynor89 on 2019/04/29 01:19
I love this app, it is adorable and so much fun to put videos together. I keep getting a little disappointed with each update still not allowing for us to input our own music, and I know it says they’re working on it so I’ll just try and be a little more patient. After that gets added this app will be pretty much perfect for me.
Terrible update
by flowerpower12m on 2019/04/28 23:00
Before i was able to hit the camera and it would automatically take a video and save the video to one second and my phone. Now I have to go through all these steps to take a video and to save it to my phone. When I take videos of my children I dont have the extra time to press this and press that. I want to take my video clip it and turn my phone off. Do not like the new update.
Great way to help remember all the little moments!👍

Great app!
Too bad
by ErinMO10 on 2019/04/27 12:04
I was really excited about this app. I downloaded it on the recommendation of a friend who has had it for years and paid $5 or so, but the now $30/year (or $3.99/month) subscription to access seemingly necessary features is unreal. You’re out-pricing your market. I understand a cost and even a subscription, but, come on, at least make it reasonable if you want to continue to draw in consumers.
Bring back landscape and editing bar
by tiger paws on 2019/04/26 18:31
I used to love this app so, but the new update diminishes the experience. I have smaller phone and the vertical orientation makes it frustrating to use. It crops the videos when your previewing, and you don’t have the same editing capabilities. Dissapointing.
Brilliant and well thought out app
by Rumi Amaru on 2019/04/25 08:20
I was recommended this app by other young parents as a way of capturing how our babies change over time— 1SE has been fantastic! Absolutely love it! Easy to use, great interface, and thoughtful purpose behind it. Highly recommend it!
Bring back Landscape orientation
by Acek2333 on 2019/04/24 02:23
Please bring back the landscape orientation, this new update since March makes me not want to use this app anymore. I tell everyone about this app and I’m very, very disappointed in this current version.....
Please add music feature!
by AKR09191988- on 2019/04/24 00:46
Loving the app but don’t like the music selections. Would be perfect if you could choose actual songs from your phone or Spotify.
2 timelines??
by glendadel on 2019/04/23 16:11
I started using the app on Jan. 1, 2019 and am loving it. Is it possible to do another separate one for my newborn granddaughter? I want to do one with just her in it and I’m not sure how I can have 2 different apps on my phone.
Love this app but disappointed with the update
by Bring1DtoPhilly on 2019/04/23 03:49
I love this app but I have to agree with many other people when I say that the vertical mode makes it harder to use. I loved the ease of the horizontal mode. I thought when this update was made that users would be able to just turn their phones sideways and use it horizontally. I know that 1SE takes reviews seriously into consideration when it comes to future updates and I hope that this is one we will see soon. I don’t hate vertical just prefer horizontal. The option to use both within this app would be a handy feature.
Please Add Moods Back
by Puggle Wuggle on 2019/04/22 19:54
I enjoy this app, but the newest update removed some of the features that kept me coming back. Please consider adding the moods feature back in (potentially as optional so those that don’t use it can opt out). This was a great feature that works well for people suffering from mental illnesses/mood disorders as an easy way to track your daily moods and remember your days. This is why I opted for this app over journaling apps that don’t support video/photo functions.
Vertical Format
by presleynd on 2019/04/20 21:23
I am not a fan of the vertical format at all. I loved that the app was horizontal because that made it so much easier for me to work with my videos. All of my videos are horizontal which I feel like was the initial way to take them with this app so the fact that I can no longer work with my videos horizontally like before upsets me. I was also sad to find out that the “moods” were taken away when the vertical version was introduced. I used the moods to dictate how I was feeling that day and could easily scroll through all my days and see which days were my best or favorite days. I hope you consider the option of vertical or horizontal for users instead of only vertical.
vertical disaster
by SouthPoleCat on 2019/04/20 20:05
the app became useless for ipad users. update: still useless! specifically, the “vertical mode” is a disaster. On the other hand, Android phone version shoots horizontal just fine. What an irony!
Deeply regret this purchase
by LL in BK on 2019/04/19 19:29
When I bought it, it was a horizontal app. Now that they have taken my money (I even shelled out for the pro subscription - I used to love it so much!), they’ve made it vertical. It is so much harder to use, I’ve basically stopped using it. Despite so many people asking them to go back to horizontal (the way videos are meant to be viewed!!), there has been no response to this request. I greatly regret investing my time, money, and memories into this app. What a mistake!
Bring back horizontal
by Twins kipper on 2019/04/19 15:25
Forcing users to go vertical ruins our video snippets we’ve been taking and makes the videos look awful. Please make it so it’s an option to either be a vertical or horizontal app. There’s a reason why movies in real life are widescreen and not “tallscreen”
1SE is my reason
by MJAmami on 2019/04/18 12:45
I started using this app to give the daily pictures I take a reason. Going on my third year of daily pics then mashed into months. Then at the end of the year I edit all of them together (IDEA!-which would be a great to do within the 1se app!) its a 365se video of my year! All the improvements have been great! Keep it up.
Used to love it.
by Drumkat on 2019/04/16 03:52
Used to love this app. Super fast to go through a couple a weeks and add photos. Now it’s so dang overly complicated and slow even on my iPhone X. I used it to add 3 days and on the last one it froze up. But it freezes momentarily on every day so it’s hard to know what’s happening. It used to be easy fast and great. None of these words describe the current app.
Not working
by Ainsley_1995 on 2019/04/16 03:38
I used to love this but now it’s not letting me upload? I’ve taken both photos and videos the past few days and it’s saying there’s nothing available from my camera role. I have allowed access already, any bright ideas?
Horrible app
by betu9 on 2019/04/15 00:06
I deleted my app to increase storage for a couple of days, but when I redownloaded it, all of my seconds had been erased. I had an account attached to it, but still everything was gone. I’ve put hours and hours of work into this and started on January 1, 2018. When I contacted them through MULTIPLE channels weeks ago, I got no response, despite having gotten responses within a day when I previously communicated with them. I used to be a firm supporter of this app, but after seeing all of my work deleted despite having it connected to an account and no help from the developers, I would recommend no one get it.
New update ruined the app
by Artsyfartsytim on 2019/04/14 22:28
WTH? This was a great app, then they removed a bunch of features and now want to charge us monthly? I’ve already paid for the app. Give us back the app we paid for ______ Trying to update my review. 1SE response is untrue. They claimed no features were taken away. Not true. I can no longer edit (and SEE) to the hundreds of a second (yes it’s a big deal) and I’m forced to use the app vertically. When EVERYTHING is shot and used horizontally. UGH. Now, even though I’ve already paid for the Pro App, you are changing the terms and I’m forced to pay monthly if I want features back. This is almost evil.

I really really love this app. I preferred the version before the recent update like most, but I’ve gotten used to it. I am creating memory videos of my babies and it is soo easy to do so. Please never change! I have the paid version and it’s well worth the money! Thank you 1SE!!! ❤️❤️❤️ question, if I get a new phone, will my videos I’m working on transfer over??
App just stopped working right
by pearl1789 on 2019/04/12 16:30
I have really enjoyed using this app. I got it at the beginning of January and I was planning to document my entire year with it. But the other day it stopped allowing me to click on a photo or video to add from my camera roll, so I can no longer add anything. I am extremely dissatisfied and disappointed that I will have to get another app.
Was better before!!
by Rgh so frustrating on 2019/04/10 20:58
I am refusing to update this app because it is perfect in the Horizontal mode!! They recently made an update to switch the whole app to Vertical and it’s not as good. My friend got the Vertical version and it’s so hard to figure out! Horizontal mode is easy, friendly, and basic. I really hope they switch it back but they probably won’t. It is still such a great concept and the app seamlessly stitches your videos together. I would still recommend it but it was definitely better before.
Export vertical video?
by johnrsull on 2019/04/09 21:01
I love the new update - been waiting for it to be vertical for a while. However, it kills me that it still crams my vertically oriented videos into a landscape final product. To use a rare sports analogy, the app fumbles it right on the goal line. Or something. You get it. Are you planning to add a setting to make the entire “workflow” (funflow?) vertical, including the final trimmed videos?
Creepy
by fkutclugc on 2019/04/07 21:31
This app would send quotes based on things I was doing when not using the app for example I was cry-laughing over FaceTime and it sends the quote “don’t cry because it’s over, laugh because it happened” and when I was adding my water count to the MyFitnessPal app it said something about drinking water everyday. I don’t like this, it’s creepy. But I do like the idea of the app therefore i put two stars instead of one.

I paid for this app last year. Now it’s free but every one has to get the subscription service. You should split it so the people who paid don’t have to pay for it or at least a reduced cost.
Love it
by Jayllms on 2019/04/05 22:15
I absolutely love the app and I love the update, it makes it look slick and vertical just feels correct. My only problem I think is I would love if you guys would implement true vertical video into the app, snapchat style. If I upload a vertical video it plays with two large black borders on either side so to do a vertical journal would be amazing!
Love it!

So much fun to create these moments in life.
Please revert back
by CleoPittman on 2019/04/04 06:03
New vertical format really difficult to use, nearly impossible to pinpoint clips’ start and stops. Please bring the old interface back, it was a joy to use. The new update is discouraging.
Miss the old app
by jmatthi1 on 2019/04/02 19:05
Not happy with the “vertical” format of the app. It feels more like a social app now than an artistic tool used for creativity. Does anyone know where the video camera is located? It used to make really nice videos and now I can’t seem to find/record with it. The ux is so minimal now that the app feels useless to me.
Hate the update
by Rannecap on 2019/04/02 14:20
I hate the new update. I paid money for the app a couple years back, so I wasn’t getting the free version. Now everything is getting stripped away. I PAID for this and now I can’t add another snippet?? Only one per day? Wow I used to love this app. Definitely NOT going to recommend to my friends who are considering getting it.
Did not change for the better
by QSim282 on 2019/04/02 05:10
I used to love this app. I found it a great way to make memories. However, as this has scaled, the app has gotten worse. I PAID for this app over two years ago and had full access. I took a break for about a year and now the app has changed, and I need to subscribe to get the full benefits. Most notably, I want to backup all my snippets. Back in the day, this was convenient and easy as the app integrated with Google Drive. Now they have gotten rid of that, forcing me to subscribe to backup all of my snippets and I refuse to do so, but still wish to backup my snippets. What was the reason for that removal, other than being money hungry? I still have an old version of the app on my Android phone and it still has google drive features. Heavily disappointed with the direction this app has taken.
I wish they’d used the correct form of “every day”
by MeghanMoser2 on 2019/04/02 02:02
Everyday vs. Every Day. Bums me out that the official title of a very popular app has a typo.
Love the app, but there is a bug with latest update
by Foreveryum on 2019/04/01 16:44
Hi! I love this app and have a lot of fun making these videos. Unfortunately, the latest version makes it so I can’t access my video library. When I tap Library, nothing opens. This makes the app unusable for me since I never record my video snippets from the app. Please fix!
Love it!!😁❤️
by MCMIBNLESTON on 2019/03/30 21:45
1SE is awesome! You don’t need to buy anything to get the app if you don’t want to and it is very easy to edit you photos and videos! I would totally recommend it!👍🤩
Must have for parents

This is hands down my favorite app to document my kids’ lives. I make each kid their own OSED film for each birthday. They love it.
Upset
by epically peeved on 2019/03/29 19:30
Was loving this app, but with the most recent update I’m pretty upset. They took the feature to select a emoji for you “mood” for the day out and I had been tracking something important with that and now it’s all gone. Prior to this you had three options different things you could record each day. A one second video, a journal entry, and a emoji to depict your “mood”. Very upset and wish I could take back the update because I will probably stop using the app now.
Don’t want to cancel my subscription
by Bridgebeudywvxjufve on 2019/03/29 04:52
I was worried about downloading the update because of the vertical thing—it’s clunky (too visually busy, get the journal out of my face) but it’s manageable. But I am honestly devastated to find that we can now access Instagram through the app. I came to 1 second everyday when I took all social media off my phone (it’s truly an addiction issue for me, I will look at complete strangers pages for hours) because it allows me to still document my life and share it in a healthy way. But now I may have to delete it. If it required a login to Instagram or even opened Instagram through safari (I have Safari disabled on my phone) then I’d be fine. But instead it actually opens Instagram in the app. This app used to be a great option as an alternative to social media for someone like me. But now you’ve put me back on Instagram without even giving the option to opt out. I get that you want people to share your product but this is going to have to make me stop using your product when I don’t even want to.
New update app just crashes
by FeatMarch807 on 2019/03/28 07:04
I like this app, I take videos everyday for it. But about 50% of the time I try to upload a video, it just crashes. Never used to be like this
New update is awful app doesn’t work anymore
by owenofthesharingan on 2019/03/27 06:59
The app was good until the recent update. I had been adding every day this year without missing one but the new update not only ruined the layout and made everything just less convenient than original, it also added terrible bugs that literally broke my app. I can’t upload a single snippet without the app crashing, ruined my 1 second a day for 2019 unfortunately because the app is no longer functional, and they haven’t done anything since this started about two weeks ago. Problem needs addressing asap
Clunky
by Toomanybarts on 2019/03/27 00:44
I’m so far behind and mainly have photos. The workflow to retrospectively add snippets (photo or video) is clunky and time consuming. Wrote to support, waiting for feedback. Currently looking for alternatives.
Can’t stand the new update
by AshleyJones1214 on 2019/03/26 22:26
I’ve been using this app for almost two years and the new update is so frustrating. Here are the issues: 1) If I have already taken a snippet for the day, the camera won’t auto load when I open the app. I need that for fleeting moments that need to be captured! I have to fumble around to get to the camera. 2) If I’m taking a shot straight above me or below, it makes a vertical video. I have to reshoot like five times before I can get it horizontal. I actually don’t want any verticals because they don’t esthetically blend together in the final video. 3) when I want to watch my current project, it always begins on January 1, when it began on October 7. Super annoying.
🥰
by Love !/!/ on 2019/03/26 12:24
This app makes me so happy every day and especially at the end of the month when I make a video from that month’s highlights! It’s so cool to see and it’s memories I wouldn’t have thought to catch a quick video of before I was keeping up with this app!
Broken
by Snow4ngel on 2019/03/25 23:46

Charged for a subscription?
by ASKUMA1004 on 2019/03/25 02:10

Used to love, now difficult to use
by DarthVibbert on 2019/03/24 01:38
Used to really love this app, now I find it difficult to use. When I chose a vertical shot video in the past I could drag and chose where in the frame of the shot would be zoomed in for that day. Now it automatically just chooses the center and won’t allow you to drag the frame to your choosing. It would also be nice to choose if you wanted to use the app itself in vertical OR landscape not just be handcuffed to the vertical version.
amazing!
by morganbwdn on 2019/03/23 17:20
I love this app! This is probably my favorite app I have. It’s such a cute idea and I love that you can watch the videos put together whenever you want, yet still continue to add onto it. I constantly show everyone how cool this app is. I set it to where it sends me a reminder everyday so I remember to record a video for the day. The reminder is a different quote everyday, which is cool. I haven’t had any problems with the app so far and I’ve had it for a little over a month. I wish I could add music, but I have the free version so I can’t complain. Definitely recommend this app!
Update 3.0 wasn’t necessarily
by Modge Podge on 2019/03/23 16:15
I’ve been using this app for about a year now & have really loved it, but I am really disappointed with update 3.0. The vertical screen was unnecessary, and actually makes it much more difficult to edit videos. I appreciate the push for greater integration of the journal feature (and it’s really cool that it exists), but it feels like you’re kind of shoving down our throats. I started off using leap second which I found to have a better interface & allowed me to add as many videos as I wanted per day (and they could be much longer than a second), but their app had a bug where my timeline was deleted more than once so I switched to 1SE. 1SE has been much more reliable, and I have never had a problem with it, but honestly I am strongly considering switching back after the update and push for subscription services that should really honestly have come with my $6 purchase of the app to begin with. The month by month format leap second offers is really nice & much more intuitive and easy than the side bar month scroll on 1SE, although really genuinely what you had before was much better than what you have now.
not a good update ;(

Latest update renders the app useless
by LittlePoppy413 on 2019/03/22 05:05
The latest update is problematic to say the least. The crop to fill screen won’t allow me to select how the frame crops and if by some miracle crops somewhere acceptable, once I save the clip, it moves the crop elsewhere. I’m also not a fan of how the mash feature tries to compile all of my clips, I preferred how it was by month before.
Great app, but a little too simplistic
by ~rawrimmakatelyn~ on 2019/03/22 02:42
I use the free version, which I dont mind, It does get the job done, however, I wish the editing skills for the pictures and videos were the same, it's a bit odd/silly that I can rotate my videos, but not my photos. I can also zoom in and out however much I'd like on the photos, but i either have to zoom all the way in with my videos, or all the way out, nothing in between. It's somewhat frustrating that I also can't edit the orientation or size of previous snippets. I have to go through the trouble of replacing the snippet completely. It's a nice app, and makes it a lot easier to make a video compilations, but for such a nice looking app with a great concept, its weird that these simple features that most apps have don't exist.
New update
by Sassafras and Molasses on 2019/03/21 23:34
I used to love this app and have plugged it in my parents group on Facebook. Now though I can’t take videos directly from the app; I have to make a video and then upload it. I liked being able to do that before because I don’t want all the extra steps. I’ll continue to use it as I’ve used since my son’s birth and it’s been a great way to memorialize the year. Plus I also paid a premium for it so I better use it or it will go to waste. I don’t want to do a journal and share with other people; I just want to take videos and mash it together as I see fit. Otherwise the app is great and I love seeing the videos I make when it’s my son’s birthday.
New version is difficult to use

by Sndnanxnsksnsjdnsks on 2019/03/20 10:03
Don’t usually write reviews but I’m willing to here because I appreciate that 1SE says they “live and die” by feedback. Purchased app September 2018. Fun. Could figure out how to use it right away. Started again March 2019. Vertical update. I’m a phone savvy millennial and have trouble figuring this app out. Poor new interface. Can’t even find the camera without closing out of the app and using 3D Touch. What happened to the quick trigger record method? Disappointed.
the new update is AWFUL
by appreviewer101918 on 2019/03/18 19:14
the fact that you took away the ability to add a second clip is awful. i used to LOVE this app but adding a second clip doesn’t even feel like a feature, it feels like just apart of the app as it has been for years. i am very very dissapointed
Not as good but still ok
by hann_t on 2019/03/18 13:17
Turning my phone landscape to use this app always felt like a little bit of the mindfulness of using the app, and definitely made it feel more like a project than just another app. The app still works vertical, obviously, but it isn’t as great. It’s just all my clips crammed onto the screen. I wish I could just turn my phone sideways and switch back to the old layout when I wanted to. I also miss the mood feature. I bet plenty of people didn’t use it but I really enjoyed seeing my mood across all of the days. I wish I could still see my moods from the past so I could move them to a bullet journal or something because I grew to really enjoy that.
Will never please some people. At all

The new update is horrible
by Kapteva on 2019/03/07 12:54
I used to love this app, I used it all the time and I was telling about it absolutely everyone. With the new update I actually don’t want to use it anymore. I paid for the app $6 a coupe of years ago so I wasn’t using the free version. The change from horizontal (landscape) orientation to vertical (portrait) made it worse. It is difficult to see the snippets they are crammed. The editing portion of the screen changed - the ribbon where I pick the 1 sec sequences is not detailed and I can’t see or hear how the 1 second snippet will sound/look like. When I pick something, try to play it, it replays the whole video, not that part I chose. The ribbon is not intuitive to navigate (as it used to be) and it is hard to pick the snippets. I can’t pick custom dates to mash videos. It forces me to pick current year, everything. I used to show this app to everyone, I would pick a few custom dates and show them how it works and how great it is. I also can’t replay snippets from prior years (i didn’t save them). With this update actually I don’t enjoy it and I am going to look for a different app with a similar functionality. There is a very aggressive push to the subscription service, but I already paid for the app and actually all the best features were taken away. Find a different app. It has such a great reviews becuse of the older version, but since March 2019 it is crap.
Here one day, gone the next
by Tilly838 on 2019/03/03 03:56
I had posted this a while back “I absolutely Love this app. I’ve been using the free one for a year now and have been taking videos every day. However, it seems that a lot of the features of the free app are being taken away. We no longer can do 1.5 seconds for a clip and we can now only have one video where as before we could have two for each day. I understand that the free app will need to have limitations compared to the pro, however it seems like pretty soon there’s not going to be anything left on the free app. And the jump to pro is quite big in regards to cost. I’m really bummed that the app has changed so much in literally two days as I had access to all these features Thursday.” Soon after this changes were made to the app and these features we accessible again without the pro and just he initial payment app. However, my phone just updated to the most recent iOS and with it, those few features went away, again I can only have one clip a day, no 1.5 second clips, and now I can’t even create multiple montages. Again, I understand that the free app will need to have limitations compared to the pro, however i’m really bummed that they brought these features back and then removed them again as well as a few more.
Vertical version/latest update
by Loooooses on 2019/03/04 19:33
I was really pleased with this app and its functionality, and then they had to go and “update” it. In the new version, there’s no longer an option to use the app in landscape (horizontal) mode. They went too far “fixing” the problem, that iOS users couldn’t rotate to vertical. Now it’s even crappier because you have to press about twice as many icons just to view clips and/or take them horizontally. The smart thing to do would’ve been to keep the simpler icons and just add the ability to rotate IF WANTED, not force everything to be one way or the other. It should be as easy as tapping one icon to open up the camera for recording; now users have to go through an entire process and figure out where everything is just to add snippets on the spot. It also doesn’t need the added social media component. People use this app to record seconds, and nothing else. They don’t want ads, or other people’s content, or anything else invading. The entire point of the app is to collect snippets and put them together, and share them on another platform if desired. I’ll likely stop using it if something doesn’t change.
New Update - I want to delete the app.
by i want the old version! on 2019/03/09 15:57
I used to be in love with 1SE. An amazing way to see your life one second a day! It had an amazing layout, very easy and dynamic to work with.. Unfortunately, I can’t say that anymore with the new update. The new update went vertical, which I really don’t enjoy. At all. It seems as if they are trying to cram everything into one little screen, when before everything had an amazing layout. I really don’t think I will ever get used to this new layout. One more thing, perhaps the most annoying thing, the DIFFICULTY and TIME needed to take to record a snippet of your day. Before the new update, there was a red recording button you could press right when you opened the app. Now, with the new update, it takes MUCH longer to record a snippet for that day.. What if you want to capture a moment that is only there for a second, but can’t because it takes 30 seconds to solely get to the camera??? I’m sorry, but they need to go back to the old version. The app is also glitchy. I paid $6 for the app a couple of years ago, and now I feel as if I’m getting the free version, let alone there is now a “pro” version you can pay monthly/yearly for. I’m going to be honest, I don’t enjoy using 1SE anymore. Frankly, not sure if I even will.

Great concept, disappointing evolution
by CGraves89 on 2018/12/31 22:09
My sister-in-law purchased this app when it was $5 on our Apple family-share plan, and we have been using it to compile compilations, montages, or whatever 1SE has been branding their videos/slideshows as. We’ve made multiple projects featuring each of our kids, different events, etc. However, now with the most recent update and the rollout of “Pro Membership” these features that we originally paid for now are being held hostage behind their $4/month or $30/year premium membership fees. I can understand their fiscal need to offer membership usages, but revoking pre-existing features from customers who have already paid is an abhorrent practice and I will no longer be recommending this app to friends. I’m still giving the app 3-stars because it’s good at what it does and I enjoyed it before they took away the features we paid for, but they have turned their back on their original paying customers. They should have created some kind of “grandfathered-in” program rather than revoking access. Now I’ll be searching for another similar app service.
I love it, but....
by its_unlikely_i__know.u on 2019/01/23 01:22
Don’t get me wrong, I love this app. I love the concept of having one clip from each day to look back on at the end of the year, and this app makes that very easy. You can simply record a clip in the app or insert your own clip and trim it. It allows for journaling and captions which is also great. The thing that bothers me about this app is that is it is a very simple concept, and when I got it it was $5.00, which seems a little much for such a thing. I got over it because it was worth the memories and the easy navigation. But now, after I have had the app for over a year, they are pushing for a Pro plan, where you have to pay more money? It threatens that you will lose all of your video clips and they won’t be backed up, and tries to push the upgrade to the Pro plan too often. It’s $30 to use basic features users of the app have been asking for for years now. It seems outrageous that they want that much so you can add music to your clips or make them longer. If I had know about this, I would’ve thought twice about getting the app.
Umm???
by girl with a love for seconds on 2019/06/06 19:26
Ok so let me tell you: I LOVE this app. Thank you for your time, hopefully this is a just a lil problem or I’m doing something wrong :)

by PshhItsLauren on 2018/02/16 03:17
Firstly, I don’t regret buying this app, but the “one second” every day concept is a bit...limited now. This app allows you to increase individual snippets to 1.5 seconds, and you can choose up to two per day. However, there have been many, MANY days when I wished I could add more, slightly longer snippets. At times, I’ve even added snippets from certain days to the WRONG day just so I could have that moment in the compilation, and the inability to remove the date stamp means I’m just lying to everyone. Ultimately, I just end up wishing I had complete control. I would have paid more for the app with the promise of a limitless snippet composer, honestly. Secondly, I personally do not take issue with the location and font of the date stamp, but if I did, I would probably not use the app at all, and this review would be very very different. So please allow people more options there. Lastly, any real video editing software is effectively nonexistent. Thank you for fixing the issues with orientation etc. that you have already, but honestly why can people not put their videos to music? Why can I not add any effects whatsoever within the app itself? It’s just...disappointing. I love the idea behind this app, and the motivation of the person who created it, but...all that innovative creativity has really come to a standstill. I’d just like to see more.
Great App, Two Drawbacks
by kmbrlymarie01 on 2019/02/06 06:04
I love this app so far! It serves as great a reminder to pause and reflect on the beautiful little moments in your life. My goal is to upload and write an entry each day in 2019. There are only two things that I wish it could do: 1) use in Portrait (upright) setting vs only in Landscape (sideways). I have small hands and never type using both hands on the full keyboard on my iPhone XS. It’s very unnatural and clunky and I end up making a lot of typos that autocorrect doesn’t seem to catch. It makes for constant editing and means it takes much longer to write a quick entry than it should. It’s frustrating. 2) I would love the ability to set a simple notification to be sent at a specific time each day to remind you to upload a picture and jot down an entry. All in all, though, still a great app. Looking forward to seeing how it all turns out at the end of the year!
Best App I’ve Ever Purchased
by RedRidingHood16 on 2019/03/02 13:51
I purchased this app a few years ago before there was a basic free version, and I have been so impressed with this app. I tried other free versions before I decided to buy 1SE but no others compared, and every update has helped make it easier and more fun. This app made it so easy to commit to capturing every day. The app is easy to use, and has daily reminders to help get you in the groove. I tell all my friends to try it out, because this app has changed my life. I am going on my 3rd consecutive year, and it may sound crazy but you find a way to find a moment of every day to remember, and looking back after the year helps you to remember all you have done or your favorite moments that you may have forgotten otherwise. Couldn’t recommend 1SE more!!!
The best app I’ve ever had
by Lifeanyone? on 2018/09/21 16:46
I’ve been using one second every day for almost 3 years now. At this point I honestly can’t see myself not doing it. The experience of watching back your year is so cathartic and fantastic to relieve experiences and remember the contexts that I would recommend everyone to get this app. From a technical standpoint it’s very easy to use and is very user-friendly, plus the staff who have created this app are very helpful and very good at connecting with their users over social media. They say the best camera is the one you have with you and with the prevalence of smart phones nowadays it’s never been easier to record a little slice of your life that you and your family will have to look back on whenever you’d like.
Not sure if I like I...
by RonCarter618 on 2018/02/08 15:55
I was using another one second app which was free but limited without upgrading to pro. I decided to download this app instead since it’s the original one second app and I like that you can work on separate projects, so I can keep my sons first year separate from our 2018, one of the features the other app lacked. However, I’m not feeling this app that much. First of all, landscape UI is annoying to work with. Second, yes you can rotate your video to portrait mode but the date remains in landscape and is big, bold, and takes over the clip. I understand that the date is kind of the point of the one second every day concept but if we can’t have the option to remove it, it would be nice to at least be able to move it to whichever corner we want and make it smaller so the focus is on the video and not the dates. Anyways, I will give this app another week just to see but I most likely will go back to the other app.
Horrible update
by Fhgvsdgilcdgjg on 2019/03/09 05:12
First time I’ve ever written a review for an app. I bought this app around three years ago and used it faithfully for the past three years. Within the last few months, the developer has been pushing an aggressive subscription campaign that I feel hinders the app. As many people of Artie said another reviews this was a paid app in which many of us purchased. I do not appreciate this push towards a subscription-based model. Secondly, with the new update, mashing your one second videos has become a pain. The vertical alignment crams many of the features into a small space which makes it incredibly difficult to properly select your one second. An app that used to be very intuitive and allowed you to quickly journal the events for the day has become a laborious process. If changes are not made to the app within the year I plan to move on and find another video journaling app.
Best Decision
by _lisa__ on 2018/12/17 04:27
I never ever write reviews, but this is the best app! I have tried for years to document my life in some way from journaling to trying to take a daily picture. However theres something so amazing about a quick second video of that day, and with that second you instantly are able to remember what you were doing on that day, and why it was so important that you recorded it. Many feel that a second is not enough time, but that’s kind of the beauty in the app your life consists of seemingly unimportant seconds but then when you look back at your year, all those sec that didn’t see important make up your life, and it is almost as if you gave yourself a gift of a beautiful video of your life.
Rebuying your already purchased content.
by Jpesse25 on 2018/12/24 04:32
1 Second Everyday has been a really awesome part of my year. It’s allowed me to document my last months in high school, my relaxing and fun filled summer vacation, and the exciting new experiences I’ve had during my first semester of college. When I bought the app (almost exactly a year ago), it was somewhere between 5-10 dollars... I don’t remember the price exactly. However, what I do remember was thinking to myself, “this will be a worthwhile investment.” Up until this point in time, this thought had been true. But with the release of 1se’s pro-subscription content, comes the restriction of loads of features that came readily available with the original purchase of the app. You can no longer add two clips to a given day, or make a clip longer than 1 second. I know this complaint seems small, but it’s completely changed the way I experience this application that I already payed for. I still think this experience was worth the original investment, but I’m not going to pay more to use features that were already available to me. I’m just not going to use 1se again. Best, J
Favorite App, everyone should use it!
by Andrew Ols on 2019/03/02 16:08
I first downloaded this in March of 2014 and ever since it has been by far my favorite app. It’s truly a great way to compile your memories - and in many ways it helps me to remember months and years gone by. Weeks and months that were previously forgettable I can now go back and view, remembering the smaller moments and the previously unmemorable days. The joy that comes with compiling a month of seconds is something I’ll never tire of. I recommend everyone use it. I even created a second timeline just to track the first year of our little puppies life - and what a pleasure that has been to go back and watch, seeing him grow from a small cute pup to the good good doggo he is today!
Go-to memory keeper
by Superspeedy2012 on 2018/12/31 23:00
I’ve had this app for a few years now, and enjoy it more than ever. I went with the pro membership, which isn’t necessary but I did it for the backups and mostly for the music overlay. So many great choices to add different moods to my videos, and something about the music makes my memories seem like a cohesive movie montage, which I LOVE and then feel compelled to share with family and friends. There have been a few updates and changes to the app over the years - it feels like the people behind this app do a great job of implementing user feedback with all of the enhancements. Overall: easy to use and still my favorite way of saving life’s little moments
A good app with ridiculous subscription option
by Krazy Kris1 on 2018/09/08 03:06
I bought this around the beginning of the year and have really enjoyed using it. However, this new subscription model that came with the most recent update seems greedy and unnecessary. The idea of keeping pretty basic features (brightness controls, 3 second snippets) gated behind a paywall is extremely frustrating. Partly because you have to pay for the app to begin with, but also because it is a monthly subscription. These kinds of ways of monetizing customers borders on predatory. If it were a free app, it’d make a bit more sense, but asking customers to drop more money is honestly kind of ridiculous when the features being offered don’t justify the subscription model. I will continue using the version I paid for, but now will be more wary of any further updates or apps this developer puts out.
Colors
by brynstef on 2018/02/12 23:24
Having missed days in the calendar be the same color as days with video is very confusing. I used to be able to tell immediately if I had not taken a video for the day, when the box was grey. But now with all the days being the same color I find myself missing many days. My 3rd year is not getting off to a great start since I updated. *** In response to developer. I am not confused. I understand the concept of the film icon showing on days where there is media. What my complaint is about is that the new update is more subtle than the original app. All the days are the same color regardless if there is media for that day or not. Different colors was a good thing. Your pasted “help” response has nothing to do with my complaint.
Just another recurring bill. Probably the future to have everything be SaaS
by DC biker 123 on 2019/01/16 23:52
The app itself is pretty good. I used it for an extended trip and now have a good video record of it. The problem I have is the Software as a Service (SaaS) model that this has turned into. So you have to buy the app, and if you want the “advanced” features you have to pay $4 per month or $30 per year. The main feature they brag about is the unlimited backups. You can already back this up to iTunes. I pay $1 per month for 50Gb of extra storage. So that doesn’t really affect me much. The other features are just one off changes that don’t cost money for the company post implementation. Volume control? Brightness adjustment? Remove branding? Allow for 3 second snips? These could all be rolled out as courtesy for those of us who paid the $5 for the app. Or they could price it into the upfront cost of the app. I’ve seen the developers say they need to charge to keep a paid app free from ads. Not sure I follow that logic. Anyway, it’s probably just a sign of the times. We now see almost all software trying to turn into this ridiculous SaaS model. Hopefully people start to reject it and companies just price their products accordingly upfront.
change it back please!
by lindsnova on 2019/03/03 03:31
I never write reviews for literally anything so that just shows how bad this update really is. The app used to be so easy to use but with this new vertical version it is so difficult to even add the content for the day. It’s less visually attractive and I feel as though it was definitely more user friendly the way it used to be, horizontally. To me the social media layout with a profile and a feed does nothing for me and is pretty useless. I’m not interested in seeing the feed that is presented within the app. I bought this app so I can work on my in app projects and that’s it. I used to love this app but this update has kinda taken the joy of adding a new second everyday because it is so difficult to use. This app means a lot to me, as well as the projects I make on this application. I think many users, including myself, would rather have the former, more accessible version.
Love It!
by sbevans3 on 2019/06/21 00:37
I downloaded the 1secondeveryday app after seeing a friend use it for a while.
I wish I had this app sooner!
by High5iver on 2018/11/21 02:32
With 1 second every day I was able to capture the beginning of me and my wife’s marriage, our first pet, and countless family memories. I cannot urge people enough to download this app. Being able to catch a moment of every day gives such a beautiful perspective on life. I look and see more notable moments throughout my day, and once you get past the “I have to look everyday for a second” and just let your seconds find you, you’ll see what countless other people love about this app! I subscribed to the pro version to help me capture even more though it’s optional at least try the app to decide. It’ll be worth it either way
New update
by Sassafras and Molasses on 2019/03/21 23:34
I used to love this app and have plugged it in my parents group on Facebook.
Deletes everything
by Cutie._.Dancer on 2018/06/28 19:45
I spent 2 hours editing videos for this app. I didn’t mind because it wasn’t a big deal, but that changed quickly. I exited out of the app after I saved everything and didn’t use it for three days. When I went back to the app, all of the videos I spent so long on had vanished and it made me create a whole new account without even giving me the option of signing in. At first I didn’t panic because i thought that just might have been their version of a login page. I typed in the same email I used originally and submitted it. It accepted my email, but instead of signing me in it created a whole new account. This resulted in me losing months worth of editing (the editing took me a very long time because I got the app a month after when I wanted the timeline to start so I had a lot of catching up to do). I’m beyond upset that I wasted money on this awful app!
Great app but...
by by the way 95 on 2019/01/16 19:54
I started using this app to document 2019 after a friend shared her 1SE for 2018. Such a fun idea and well designed and easy to use app. Most of all, I love taking a moment to document one second everyday. However, I am really annoyed that you can only add one clip per day without paying the ridiculous $39/year to upgrade to pro. Inserting two clips a day would literally be the only pro feature I would use so am hesitant to invest $39 for only 12 months. If there was a pro version of the app I would gladly pay a one time fee but am uncomfortable with the subscription format. Please bring the two clip a day feature to the free app!
Features no longer accessible
by psxttx on 2019/01/05 19:33
Last year I was able to add two snippets, create multiple projects, and adjust videos up to 1.5 seconds. But ever since the most recent update I can no longer do that. I wanted to delete a current project I have to start a new one, but I am unable to do that because I can only work with one at a time, but I can’t delete unless I make a new project. PLEASE FIX THAT. The pro subscription has taken away the original features that made me buy this app in the first place. This monthly/yearly subscription is getting out of hand and is giving us user very limited access unless we pay for the subscription, as if we already didn’t have to pay for the app itself. This app needs to address the greed that is behind the subscription and give its users the ability to use the old features that I have mentioned above.
Love this app but it has some bugs
by jazzamonster on 2018/07/05 01:31
I’ve been using this app since january 1st of this year. I really enjoy it for what it’s intended for! It’s a lot of fun to look back. However, there’s one glitch that really annoys me and it has happened twice now. You are able to record your clip for the day in the app using quick record. And I usually use this method because it’s easier than open iphone camera app and then swiping to the video. So my problem is that twice I’ve recorded and then the video disappeared. It isn’t in my camera roll which all other clips save to. So now I missed out on my clip from the activity I was doing earlier. I hope they fix it because it’s really annoying and disappointing when I realized I need another clip.
A life’s documentation
by maggie castle rock on 2019/03/04 01:04
I’ve been recording 1 sec videos since my son turned 4 years old and he is now 9. It’s become a tradition and now every year on my sons birthday he isn’t satisfied until he has watched his 1 sec video for the year. I’ve done it for 5 years now and it’s truly a documentation of my sons life. Thank you for creating something thAt perfectly archives my world and will be a record of my sons entire life. It’s a gift beyond any expectation and something I plan to continue for as long as he will allow. Bravo! You are saving a generation of history with this app! Thank you from the bottom of this Castle Rock Colorado heart. Maggie
3 year user!
by Jlbateman on 2018/05/05 20:30
I love this app! It started as a New Year’s Resolution for me one year, and I loved it so much that I’ve never missed a day in all this time. The newest version is great in terms of editing and rotating video and also adding captions and mood if you want! It takes a few more “clicks” to enter your video but that’s okay. One suggestion I have is to make a “memories” feature. Since I’ve been using it for years now, it would be great to have a space where I could easily see this date’s vids from prior years! (Note: you can see any snip from any day at any time, this would just make it simpler). Thanks, 1SE! Keep up the great work!
Need the ability to login/change devices!
by Adoglovergirl on 2018/05/25 14:22
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this app! It is such a great way to get a little capsule of your year—and my husband is doing one specifically of our puppy from the first day we got her, which is fun to watch! However, there needs to be a way to save your video to an account and move it to another device. As it is now, if I broke or lost my phone, my whole video would be gone! And more than that, I always have problems with storage space on my phone, and this app takes up a ton of storage once you’ve reached 3 or 4 months of clips! I would love to be able to move my project to my iPad and work on it there, but there is no “account” associated with my video. I hope this gets resolved soon, cause it’s a great app!
For the sentimental and creative
by FrenchFr1ed on 2018/05/07 18:17
My friend turned me on to this app as a New Years resolution project. We started at the beginning of the year and have been using it since. The layout is very clean and user friendly! You can also have multiple projects going at once as well as two seconds per day(up to 1.5 seconds for each slot), which is super nice as I am a rather sentimental person and sometimes find multiple seconds to be worth saving and commemorating. Although it costs money, it’s worth it if you plan to use it a long time as there are no other apps for free that rival the ease of using this one.
Up sell before even trying the app.
by Zugalz on 2019/01/01 17:54
Before you even get to try the app they are trying to up sell you on the “pro” version which has way more features. ( you haven’t even got a chance to try the features you have yet) and you can not start using the app without signing up for promotional emails. This is not an option, this is required. Which means right off the bat they are also sending advertisements to your email address. And yes, we still haven’t even gotten to try the app yet. The app itself seems okay for what it is, you are limited in how many shots per day you can do, and those are limited to 1 second, there is a watermark, and more. All of these limits are bypassed if you purchase the pro version. I’m just not a fan of these business practices. The way you handle your monetization and advertisement is important.
Great idea and execution, but...
by Mr. Luigi on 2019/01/04 22:59
1) I really wish you didn't have to pay a subscription fee to backup beyond 1 month. BUT!, I don't expect the developers to save my data on their servers for free, just let me use my iCloud or Dropbox accounts since I already pay a lot for those services. 2) Not a fan of the app's branding logo on my videos. I really don't like PAID apps installing advertising for themselves on my creative content. But, I definitely don't want to pay on ongoing subscription to remove it. I feel like I'm being held ransom by this monitization scheme. SMH. Having said that... Their if WAY MORE good things about this app than the two annoying things mentioned above. Bravo!
Such a great memory making app
by tha Fisch on 2018/12/25 23:16
This app is my favorite memory making app. It’s super simple to use, well thought out, and 1 second of video every day is such a fun way to document a year. I also love the freestyle type of project for vacations for an easily edited video of the trip. It’s truly one of handful of apps I use every single day. The only downside: I don’t actually like capturing video in the app. It has some trouble focusing. I think the video looks much better if taken using the OS’ camera (or any other favorite video capture app), and possibly even edit it for light/color before choosing it in 1SED.
My favorite app
by CoolBlueMiniMom on 2018/01/01 22:58
I have been using this app since it started as Moments, I think the original name was, and I paid 99 cents for it! It was worth far more than that. I recorded one second almost every day during my son’s senior year of high school, and he loved the resulting video, even tho back then he had to record and re-record one second to capture the essence of the day in one second. I like being able to choose the one second from a longer video. But I trained my family up right: Now they readily accept my directive of Wait! I need to capture one second for today!
Annoying date and location tag
by lukechemicals on 2017/12/21 06:30
Every clip has an ugly date and location overlay. I seriously can't believe this is still an issue after the big version 2 update! Give us the option to hide the date and location overlay in freestyle mode!! I don't need the date and location if every clip is from the same weekend and the font is gross. This app still lacks the customization it deserves for $4.99. if you're looking for an app that doesn't overlay an ugly font with the date and location, save your money and look elsewhere because this app has produced unshareable content for me with this unremovable date and location on every clip!! So annoying because I would love to share my videos but I hate seeing the date and location on every clip, it's ugly and I don't want it on freestyle mode. Please fix!!
Used to be better
by courtb77 on 2019/01/02 01:25
I loved this app when I bought it at the start of 2017 for $5. Recently they have taken away many features that made this app great and want you to pay monthly for them. I understand requiring a subscription for new and better features but it seems shady to take away features that the users have already paid for. I regret telling my friends about this app and wont be recommending it anymore. The features taken away are the ability to create different projects, which is kind of the most basic feature of the app. Also the ability to extend to 1.5 seconds for certain days, choose 2 seconds for some days. It’s just disappointing and leaves this once loyal and enthusiastic user annoyed and resentful.
My favorite app ever, maybe.
by Mrs.Storey662 on 2018/01/25 23:23
It really is an amazing concept! I love the app, but I do desperately wish you could use it in portrait mode AND that you could have the option to mute a video. Sometimes the tv in the background or some vulgar language makes me decide not to include a video in my day, but if I could just mute that literally *one* second, it would still give the full effect of jogging that specific memory, but without the noise. Seriously, this app has changed my life! I love going back to months before I got the app and going through those videos and pics, too!
Love the app, hate the new update.
by ....meh.... on 2019/03/16 04:25
I adore this app and this is year three of me making my one-second compilation videos. That said, the developers had a misstep with this latest update making the app interface vertical. It’s horrible. Everything is so much smaller and cluttered. I find myself with my phone only an inch in front of my face trying to see the small details in my videos to decide which second to select. Maybe there were a few people who wanted a vertical app, but it seems a lot of people didn’t. I wish there was a choice to select which orientation we prefer, because I want the landscape orientation back badly.
Great app, but pretty expensive
by Martusia:) on 2019/01/03 15:07
I purchased this app about a year ago and I love it. The app is super easy to use and it’s super helpful that if I forget to put a video in for a specific day, I can go back and put it in. However, I paid the $5 to get the app and then a while later they switched it over to the monthly subscription. It’s kinda unfair that I paid for the app to later be told that I need to pay a subscription to have more features in the app. If it was only a few dollars a year, then fine whatever. I get it takes money to run an app like this without ads, but $4 a month or the $30 a year seems pretty excessive.
