Cumbersome!
by Mld2416 on 2019/05/05 18:31
I am totally frustrated with this application. It has so many glitches I can only do a couple of things, close the application, open it back. I order to be able to do what I want, I need to get out of it again, and again, and again because it continually gets unworkable unless I close it and reopen numerous times. Also, to change the font size or do any changes to the narrative, I have to delete the entire quote or paragraph, make selections then rewrite. To move any pictures, rearrange it’s very cumbersome, since I have to close the application and reopen again and again until I get it right. FIX THE GLITCHES. I’m done! I’ll get something that works right.

Very convenient
by Bmv96 on 2019/04/29 17:28
It works perfectly, very convenient for school as you can read lecture presentations on the go. It is also pretty simple to create your own slideshow, since it has similar tools to the desktop version. I have not experienced any issues yet after using the app for 4+ years. I cannot think of any improvements that could be made to the app as it is user-friendly. 5 stars

The icons
by matsuel on 2019/04/25 15:25
Microsoft please listen 🙏 You are making your products look bad on the iOS platform Your new icons may look nice on paper and when looked at on the app store, But your icons were very colorful, and I used to put them on my main home screen on the iphone & ipad. Now with all their whiteness surrounding, the look bad, especially one next to the other, on dark backgrounds. At least give the option for an invert version of the background. ios has support for user selection if icons from a list be nice and help with that and let us choose. Now I’m hiding all your apps in a folder in some distant screen, so I won’t see them until I need the apps 🤷🏻‍♂️ Please consider!

Get rid of the white background
by the0nly0ne on 2019/04/23 20:22
I love the new application icons on macOS and Windows, but the white background on iOS is hideous and makes it nearly impossible to spot which folder the apps are in because they look like cheap generic garbage. Please either make it black or a lighter shade of each respective app color theme.
Are You Kidding Me?
by Unhappy youruinedit on 2019/04/23 03:46
If I made a “professional app” that was this glitching I’d quit life and isolate myself from society. I have had more glitches with this stupid app then any other I’ve ever used in a professional setting. I spend hours watching lectures and taking notes in this app and then it wants to glitch on me last second and not save all my notes?! Seriously?! I just wasted 3 hours of my life trusting the developers of this garbage.

Fix the Watch app, please!
by MarkTravis on 2019/04/15 11:30
I only have a Mac at home. I use a 12.9 iPad pro and an iPhone X on the road. I recently decided to use my iPhone and Series 4 watch to run a PowerPoint for a client workshop. It works great when the app is on the Watch face, open and ready to go. The problem is what happens between slides when you are talking and interacting with the audience. You raise your wrist to tap on the next slide, and..... no app. Somehow the app has been backgrounded. You are presented with the default watch face, which means you either have to click on the crown and find PPT from the myriad of app icons (ugh, 55 year old eyes) or you have to click on the side button and bring it back from “Recents”, assuming you have your watch set up as “Recents” and not “Favorites”. I tried holding the watch in my hand and manually unlocking it. Trouble with that was it kept locking itself after a period of time, and sometimes the app would get backgrounded and I’d have to go through the process I described above. Like I said, it works PERFECT when it’s front and center on your watch face. This is so close to being a great solution, but right now it’s worse than annoying and is a distraction to my audience. Perfect solution: Whenever I raise my arm to change to the next slide, the app is the one that appears and I can advance to the next slide. Whenever PPT is running on the iPhone, the Watch ppt remote is the default app when raising your wrist. I realize this might be an Apple Watchkit issue and will depend on Apple letting you do this. One other request! Let me remote control the iPad version of PPT with the iPhone or the Watch.

Good but still far from the desktop version
by TexasRK on 2019/04/12 12:02
iPad version works well enough to do minor changes and reviews, but I find it too cumbersome to do large edits or create any significant content. The draw to shape feature sounds promising but usually it is faster to just add shapes manually. I’m working on an iPad Pro 11” and previously used an iPad Pro 9.7.

Good for viewing but not for creation
by SimDoc on 2019/04/08 13:40
I won’t repeat all of the flaws in this version for iOS that have been listed by many others. The bottom line is that I limit my use to showing presentations created on the full PC Office version, except for very simple slides. For serious slide creation, this version is no match for the full PC program.
Too much flash and too little standard features
by Phoibos on 2019/04/05 22:41
I really do like having PowerPoint (and the rest of the office suite) on my phone and my iPad. And there’s a lot I can do on them to edit a presentation. But while Microsoft keeps adding pretty things, there are very basic functions that are missing, making it sometimes impossible to use this in a work environment. My currently biggest beefs: 1. No ability to select and copy/move/delete multiple slides. A slide sorter would be nice for doing that but I’d just go with the ability to do it in the existing interface. But moving slides from one presentation to another is just too painful if you have to do it one slide at a time. 2. Missing highlighting option. Not because I can’t highlight text (would be nice but I can do without that) but because I can’t get rid of highlighting someone else put in a slide (using a different version of PowerPoint). This is absolutely annoying because there is NO workaround. There are other, smaller user interface issues, but they are annoying, not insurmountable. In general, for most purposes, this is a good app. Just beware that it is missing features that you are used to from the desktop version.
No Apple Watch Support
by Chris in SC on 2019/04/04 17:53

Please become smarter not dumber
by Knatty1 on 2019/03/31 17:02
This is driving me crazy. I have worked so hard to make a PowerPoint presentation and it won’t let me upload it to OneDrive it only keeps making folders instead of actually sending anything into it. Then I go to recent to open the file and sorry, something we wrong and it can’t open the file. I remember back when I used to do everything of my phone. I was able to add videos into the slides and make hyperlinks and all. Now it’s so limited that you can do. We’re at 2019 and we should advance and move forward not go backwards. Steve Jobs is rolling in his grave how dumb apple has become under Tim Cooks and it’s with everything too!

Paid version needs feature parity with PowerPoint Online
by JustinRJackson on 2019/03/19 01:39
Right now the iOS version (even paid) is pretty weak at best. While I can review the file and look at it, only the most basic of functionality is carried over. Things like SmartArt are a constant thing I need to edit which is completely unavailable in the iOS version. What’s more, is while it is available in PPT Online, if you have the iOS version installed, trying to launch a PPT from any other program (Teams, OneDrive, even the browser) simply loads the iOS version. In order to do basic editing of even slightly more robust things like SmartArt requires me to constantly uninstall the iOS version, do my edits in the browser, then reinstall the iOS version once complete. Please get at least feature parity with the Online version.

by iluvedward1 on 2019/03/07 07:43
It’s cool that you can view ppts on the iPad app, but it would be better if I could edit on that instead of my phone. I don’t like that you have to have a 365 subscription to edit ppt on tablets or screens bigger than 10”. Also, if you don’t save your file to OneDrive, it doesn’t sync with your phone. I tried saving it to iCloud Drive and it didn’t sync to the most recent version with changes.

Some features don’t exist and it’s difficult to transfer photos
by Kalonakai808 on 2019/03/04 00:52
There isnt a spell check feature if you’re using an IPad, that’s a bit irritating because THATin the least should be standard regardless what kind of device you use with this program. Also every time I wanted to add a photo by dragging and dropping (the easy way) I’d have to exit out of the program and reenter to do so. Instead I have take up space by saving photos to my camera roll, it’s a more time consuming and tedious task especially if you’re creating a presentation that has a lot of photos.

by Manga kid on 2018/02/28 08:32
I started using MS office apps on my iPad at the start of the spring semester; especially PowerPoint. When it comes to school, my iPad has become just as productive, even more convenient to use than my MacBook. It is such a joy to be able to use the professors presentation and be able to highlight and jot simple notes within the PowerPoint slides to go back and focus on the important things to study. I no longer need to take notes on paper because all the notes are on the slides. It saves me the hassle of carrying around a heavy laptop and keeping countless notes and packet papers organized and crumble free. I wish I began doing all this cloud based work when I started college. It would’ve made things a lot easier when it came to studies. But from now on, I will be. It is a plus to finally use my iPad more often in a more productive way.
New update is not an improvement
by Deezey311 on 2017/10/10 14:04
The new update is a huge down grade. You now get glittery pens - but functionality has been lost. I used to be able to shrink the size of the powerpoint slides and type in the note section along side - which was carried throughout the powerpoint file. Now every time I switch a slide, it is MAXIMIZED to the largest size possible - and I have to re-shrink it down again and again. Even worse, the slide can no longer be moved to the side to accommodate the note space so that you can view the slide and notes fully and simultaneously side-by-side. Not only that, but every time I minimize the application to jump on safari powerpoint restarts completely, and I lose my place in the slides. These complaints may not seem like a huge deal, but for someone who is in PA school and sits through 6 hour lectures, these are huge disappointments and annoyances. I’ve used powerpoint since I began college 6 years ago, but I will be using another app if these problems aren’t fixed soon.
Apple Pencil inking glitch/fixed?
by dljackson907 on 2018/02/12 20:04
I’ve been having the same problem as Bad Cplx when trying to ink notes on this app using my Apple Pencil on the iPad. I am in a doctorate program and rely on downloading PowerPoint slides to write notes on (as opposed to printing 1,000 pages of PowerPoint slides), so you can imagine the frustration I, and others, have had trying to ink on slides while your pencil keeps trying to grab images, duplicate text boxes multiple times, duplicate inked text, and ultimately crash. That being said, I’ve downloaded the recent update today and that issue seems to be taken care of, so thank you Microsoft for supporting us iPad users. I haven’t tested the app extensively since this recent update, but I have my fingers crossed that Microsoft support did their job. 4 stars for swiftly correcting the issue.
Glaring flaw
by The Biker on 2018/12/05 20:43
I use PowerPoint on my PC and iPad, with the files I edit sitting in my iCloud Drive. I rehearsed an early draft of my presentation on my iPad then spent several days working on my presentation on my PC. I then opened up PowerPoint on my iPad and it overwrote the version of my presentation saved by my PC to iCloud, without warning, with the old version I’d opened days before on my iPad. I lost several days of work due to the bizarre auto save feature. If I’d waited to put the presentation on my iPad until the morning of my presentation I would have nothing to show after it overwrote the most recent version. Why PowerPoint would auto save when there’s a more recent time stamp on the system file is beyond me. This is a fatal flaw that makes this program one star to me. Otherwise it’s a great app, but I could have lost my job due to the overwrite so its hard to recommend this app to anyone working on presentations that matter.
Corrupted File
by Axnacion541 on 2018/08/12 03:04
I had a very important presentation to make and at the last minute there was an issue saving it and it got severely corrupted apparently. It hasn't opened since. This is such a shame and now I understand why Microsoft and Apple are so reluctant to fuse together for projects such as this. It's a complete disaster; an utter failure of the highest regard. One would expect more of not one, but two multi-billion dollar companies, allegedly attempting to (re)design a program which has already been on the market for over a decade. Seriously, it is as if a novice, trainee student from a back-alley detention center in Detroit was hired to design this app for a net sum of thirty cents. A disgrace. Additionally, some of the formats for inserted pictures actually reduce the quality of the photos themselves. This is also a problem with the PC version. I'm glad to be able to witness the headway Microsoft has made towards addressing these deficiencies. Or, perhaps lack thereof.
What happened with the latest version??
by Bdawgno1 on 2018/08/28 01:08
My slide show keeps blurring slides and crashing after showing few slides. Up until your recent update, the app has been working perfectly on my iPad Pro (12.7 inch model). With the last update, I cannot use this app because of not only what I described above, but also the app freezes. Typically happens after swiping (with or without slide show) after 10-15 slides into the presentation. I’m running latest iOS 11 on my iPad. However, the app works fine from my iPhone X (running beta iOS 12, beta 8). Can you please fix this issue so I can rate this app 5 stars again? This is with version 2.16.1 (your latest version available). I have full Microsoft yearly membership for editing PPT, XLS, DOC files via the apps. Dear developer: feel free to email me if you need screenshots. I’ve tried this on several different slide decks from iPad. Same results unfortunately.
Not nearly the functionality as it should have on iPad!!
by Katyb113 on 2017/12/05 01:22
I’m really disappointed by this app. First of all I have trouble working with large ppts that I’ve saved to Dropbox. I often get a notice that I “no longer have access to the file” and have to save a copy...which then doesn’t open. So sometimes I’m just screwed. This is frustrating. Further, there is no timing or recording option in the “view slide show” tab. You can’t select multiple objects at once, the lasso select tool doesn’t work for me, and it’s very hard to move around on the slide. Maybe I’m just not used to it, but it doesn’t have nearly the level of functionality as the full version on a Mac. So frustrating because I would love to edit, save, and practice my presentations on the go. This is a major reason why I bought an iPad.
Good but wish I didn’t run in to so many dead ends
by Igiveadam on 2018/04/17 14:56
60% of the time, it does what I need, but there are some basic functionalities that are just missing and it doesn’t make sense why. You can’t search or replace copy in a presentation. Forget about copying multiple slides from one presentation to another (you have to close your presentation, open the one you need slides from, copy a single slide, close that presentation, open the first again, copy it in, and then repeat that process for every slide you need to copy in! Come on!). Honestly, at some times it feels like Microsoft is just messing with Apple users. “Fine we’ll give you our software for iPads but good luck getting anything done! Should have bought a surface!”
Download too BIG!
by BestAppsUser on 2018/08/19 22:40
I will no longer use Wifi - the artificial limits on download are about to make me delete your LARGE App. I have a case at Apple and of course they blame you and the carrier - the support agent agrees it is “Stupid”. I wonder why it’s okay to stream Gigs of a baseball game or a movie but downloading an app that is Broken is a NO NO. MS NOT that differentiating these days. Same for other MS apps. I like Outlook but LookOUT to be gone too. And since I own the company that buys 365 and Azure gone is a BIG gone. Tick. Tick, tick. I’m you are now aware and I can let other users know all is well in a few days or so, therefore rating will go to a deserved location. As I always say, “ when it doesn’t make sense it is about the Cents. Let’s use some common sense, and worry less about the small cents. Ready set GO! - drdave
New update is subpar
by Beveerrrrrllllyyyy on 2017/10/12 04:03
I used to love this app when I’m taking notes on my IPad. However, its slowing me down and annoying me. Here’s why: 1. Whenever I try to type something in the notes section, the slide doesnt resize anymore to fit the screen with the section open. Even if I try to minimize the slide, you can’t move it to the side to keep the whole thing in view. 2. The names of my presentations are disappearing! For example, I’ll have a presentation that I named “Ch. 14 Cardiac Assessment.” Now it’ll only show me “Ch. 14.” I’m getting confused in trying to open the correct presentation! 3. When I try to save my presentation from one drive to another, it’ll save the presentations in both drives instead of just transferring it to another. I don’t know if that bothers anyone else, but it bothers me. PLEASE FIX THIS WITH A NEW UPDATE. OR JUST BRING BACK THE PREVIOUS UPDATE!
Save a copy
by Icosace1022 on 2018/04/15 22:38
Someone is currently editing this review. To edit this review please save a copy. Yeah, I’m playing with you. But seriously, every time I close a document and then open it later I see the description above, yet with the word ”document“ instead of ”review.“ And often it doesn’t even have to be later, it could be a few minutes after closing it. I’m not going to create five or ten copies of my work all around my files because you guys have a glitch in your save/autosave mechanism. Tell me how I am going to get done my presentations for my college courses!? This is actually important! I know it’s not all about me, but fixing this glitch could help everybody with the same issues and more. Thanks for reading, but I can’t fully thank Microsoft, Apple, whoever is in control of this app, etc. until this is fixed.
Mostly good, room for improvement
by Shiloh Graves on 2018/10/15 16:14
This app is mostly good, but I have encountered an error when taking notes in presentation mode. Sometimes I the ability to swipe between slides goes away and every stroke I make to attempt to do so just puts ink on the slide. It often takes many attempts to get the functionality bar to drop down from the top so that I can exit and re-enter presentation mode, which then usually fixes the problem for a time. In general, I think Microsoft could improve the functionality of the PowerPoint app to include the features of OneNote within a ppt presentation format and do away with one note altogether, thus eliminating the need to export ppts into one note.
Useful Teaching Aid
by dougsmith1977 on 2018/01/17 18:57
I’m using Powerpoint mobile to record teaching screencasts and find it very useful. ONE SUGGESTION: Could you add different colored pens and highlighters directly to the quick access bar at the top in presentation mode? When I tap to change color, that appears on my screen. If it were simply in the bar at the top and didn’t drop down, then I could simply crop that part of the video before I post it. I’m guessing there are others who would be interested in a similar feature. Thanks!
OneDrive Rocks!
by WFPB eye doc on 2019/01/26 16:33
I actively use five devices, and four are portable. Four from Apple, the fifth is a Windows device. Being able to grab any device at any time and add a new thought to a presentation is quite the luxury, and previously many of those transient thoughts were lost. Navigating the iPad versions was a bit of a puzzle but I finally found all the functionality that I had learned how to use on my big computers. Having it is easy to edit and share presentations saves a lot of pre-presentation stress. Philip Paden WFPB eye doc
Updates needed
by olliebeaners on 2017/11/14 20:47
Please improve the UI of saving documents to places other than Microsoft OneDrive. I understand you want to encourage usage, but there needs to be better options for other cloud saving and local saving options that are more immediately accessible. MORE IMPORTANTLY, there is a serious issue when using PowerPoint with a Bluetooth keyboard and my iPad Pro 10.5 inch where the text input lags almost a full two seconds!! This is a PowerPoint only issue, as the text input delay is not present anywhere else in the system, and even not a factor of a demanding program because non-PowerPoint commands, such as multitasking or volume control respond immediately when using PowerPoint. It makes PowerPoint almost unbearable.
Another Numbingly Lame App by MS
by Pdx_biker9 on 2018/09/21 22:48
I have to use office 365 at work and was told oneDrive was great to use since I could edit my files on personal devices while out of the office. Well I’m on vacation and need to send out a report. Got onto onedrive - clugey file structure but worked. I opened the file in ppt to make a few small changes and ... impossible. The app won’t let me make a simple edit to an html text on a page. When I exit it saves my mistakes without asking, so now I’ve screwed up my file. I can’t make a SIMPLE change to my ppt to get my report out. I’ll stick with vpn and a full sized computer or convert the entire thing to IOS files and edit with apple’s stuff next time. Another waste of time trying to get MS software to work.
Please Update ASAP
by LostSalez on 2018/08/25 18:10
I have been using the same two 50-75 slide presentations daily for 2 years with minimal issues. Since update 2.16.2 crashes occur half way into every presentation. The crash occurs on different slides every time. When crash occurs I can only describe it as the slide turns into the equivalent of old school UHF TV fuz ...only instead of black and white the pixelation is colored. All slides remain this way until app is closed out. I updated to the latest version of iOS and deleted and reinstalled App and all presentations to no avail. I deeply regret having updates to app download automatically, as past versions worked adequately for my limited needs. If Microsoft cannot play nice with Apple please just pull Apps form the marketplace.
Great concept but unreliable
by Mdonat1105 on 2018/08/21 13:21
Was very excited initially about the potential of using PowerPoint on my iPad. I do lots of presentations and it’s not always convenient to use a laptop. So I was hoping this would be the ideal solution. Unfortunately, it’s not very stable. I have attempted to use it about 20 times on my iPad and almost every presentation I’ve done it randomly closes on its own. In addition there are many times I work on the presentation on my desktop and those changes do not always populate on my iPad through the use of Dropbox. I thought initially maybe it was dropbox but none of the other the information that I’ve access that way has been an issue. Hopefully they will work these bugs out.
A bit quirky with Dropbox, buggy PDF export
by donovan1983 on 2017/09/24 14:46
I use PowerPoint primarily to convert my professors’ PowerPoint lectures into PDF and it used to work adequately for that. It often took multiple tries because for some reason the app would just not be able to upload the exported file to Dropbox and would not give any warnings that it failed, instead leaving a zero-byte PDF in Dropbox. When it did work, the PDFs were the same as what the Windows desktop version produced. In the most recent update, however, exported PDFs have a box drawn in the upper-left corner of every single slide that is not in the original file. The desktop version doesn’t do this and neither does Apple’s Keynote iOS app. This breaks my only real use for this app.
Terrible File Handling
by GoogleTool on 2019/01/07 19:22
It’s nice to be able to see PowerPoint file on my iPad. However, attempts to edit them are fraught with difficulty. Particularly annoying is the way the App handles cursor placement and navigation. But my greatest concern is the way this App (and all other MS Office Apps for iOS) handle files. MS has clearly structured file management to favor One Drive. Files can be opened from and saved to One Drive without difficulty. Any other file location is a problem. For example, my attempts to open files from Google Drive lead to files that are Read Only and for which I must Save A Copy. When trying to Save A Copy, with a different name, the operation Cannot Be Completed if the destination is Google Drive. Sick.
Cumbersome!
by Mld2416 on 2019/05/05 18:31
I am totally frustrated with this application.
Not bad so far
by IntrepidElectronics on 2018/12/31 11:26
I use PowerPoint a lot (the desktop version) and was still using Office 2010, so I thought I'd give 365 a try. So far I am reasonably impressed by what I can accomplish on a mobile device--at least on one with a large screen. I miss all the desktop shortcuts, but I imagine there are many for the mobile version that I just haven't learned about yet, or perhaps I need to use it with a mobile keyboard. I like the automatic online storage and easy access from all my devices. So...so far, so good.
Needs to Grow Up
by BPBear on 2018/02/17 19:20
Very limited utility. Cursor hard to track/locate on slides being composed. But worst of all - cannot handle file locations other than an arcane set apparently blessed by Microsoft. For example, Google Drive not treated as a legitimate ‘place’ from which files can be loaded. When attempting to open/download files from Google Drive under the ‘More’ submenu, the files start to download, then consistently get the message ‘Sorry something went wrong, this file cannot be opened.’ Well these files open just fine from the desktop version of PowerPoint. Until the iOS app can handle all desktop files, it will be of very limited use.
Really wish I could love this...
by Bass Singer on 2017/10/05 15:57
Have used PowerPoint for years, but this iOS version of the Office suite is completely unusable on iOS. It is massively underpowered compared to its desktop version, and completely unintuitive in terms of the layout of the options. Add to that it’s a massive memory and space hog (typical of Microsoft bloatware) and there is unacceptable lag using my Bluetooth keyboard. No problems in other iOS apps, mind you, but it takes a full 2 seconds for keystrokes to be recorded on screen when I’m using any MS product. Can’t justify the obscene price they’re asking for a subscription when they can’t even get typing text to work properly, can I?
Very convenient
by Bmv96 on 2019/04/29 17:28
It works perfectly, very convenient for school as you can read lecture presentations on the go. It is also pretty simple to create your own slideshow, since it has similar tools to the desktop version. I have not experienced any issues yet after using the app for 4+ years. I cannot think of any improvements that could be made to the app as it is user-friendly. 5 stars
PowerPoint on my iPad
by 1970Pattie on 2018/09/20 15:36
I have recently retired and begun using an iPad, wanting to untether from a home computer. I purchased a PowerPoint and 360 subscription for my iPad. I was able to easily create a nice slide presentation including diagrams and photos, so I rate that aspect 5 stars. I haven’t found a way to convert my slides to a handout with 4 or 6 slides to a page, and haven’t gotten an answer from Help, so no stars for that. Overall, I like the program, and hope I can find all the functions I want on it.
Great until you write too much
by Joshthebear64 on 2018/11/30 23:50
I use PowerPoint for direct note taking in class and I love it. My biggest complaint is that if I’m writing extensive notes on the PowerPoints the app begins to slow down and freeze. This has been a frequent issue of mine on more than just PowerPoint. I have experienced freezing and slow down on Word (far more than any other) and OneNote (after I’ve written the equivalent of 3-5 lectures worth of notes). Also the hand resting note taking works, but I feel could be drastically improved.
Good but it needs...
by Just Life. on 2017/11/15 23:41
A controller. So let me explain I have this on both my phone and my computer and I have to give presentations a lot but I don’t want to buy a separate clicker thing cause I had one but it didn’t work and it was like 30$ could you add a feature where you connect your phone to the computer version and use the phone as a controller if this is already in the app please let me know I’m sure many people agree
Claim of “full function with 365 subscription” is bunk!
by RrtssMom on 2017/10/11 14:53
I have a prof who releases slides minutes before class, and I take notes on them, but with out note taking options in PowerPoint I have to export and when that happens half the text is oversized and doesn’t convert properly. PowerPoint app doesn’t even work well with other Microsoft apps!i have to use my computer to convert to pdf properly, and then put the document on my tablet- not gonna happen moments before class! Allow us to “print” slides and note sheets set up, like on computers, from this app to others in pdf form! AND keep the text the size in the file- STOP CHANGING THE TEXT SIZE!!!
Needs to be available on iPad without 365
by iluvedward1 on 2019/03/07 07:43
It’s cool that you can view ppts on the iPad app, but it would be better if I could edit on that instead of my phone.
Better than nothing
by ArthurMachado on 2017/10/12 13:03
Unless you save your files on the web the program can’t save things in your iPad except to a hidden directory you can’t find or access. The functionality has less than ¼ of the features you would find on regular PowerPoint or Office programs. The interface is clunky and has none of the functionality of standard office programs. Furthermore, the Microsoft support system personnel have not been trained in the iPad compatible system and as such can provide no technical help. All in all I am disappointed in the program, but I will admit it is better than nothing.
I have a problem...
by Amjed1 on 2018/04/05 05:32
When offloading this app on my iPad Air 2 and then after a while trying to re-download, its fail to download. When i remove it and trying re-install it from AppStore, the download complete but the app doesn’t appear on list of applications. So start to open it through Search. I hope i listed the problem well and thanks for all efforts.
No functions
by Ajsconk on 2018/01/06 18:47
All I wanted to do was make an arrow a little thicker and there is a million options on formatting but not one to just make the weight a little thicker. Then, I want to make the picture fill a space exactly and the auto snapping either goes too small or too large with no obvious option to adjust the size. My parents had a small business and my job of 11 years has me making slide presentations regularly so I have been using PowerPoint for around 20 years weekly and this app is garbage. I should not have to buy a photo editor to add a line the thickness appropriate to my project.
Overall satisfied, but not totally reliable
by Thy Waterbottle on 2017/10/17 17:52
Like the title states, it’s overall very good. However, I’ve noticed when I go back to review after taking notes on the slides that sometimes what I’ve written is either shrunk, out of place, otherwise mis-sized, or altogether missing. Needless to say when it comes time to review I’m missing ~15% of my notes. If this gets fixed and I can have complete confidence it’d be an easy 5 star app. Also would love google drive compatibility!!
Getting worse with each update
by AFKLPF on 2017/09/22 06:10
Since 2.0 the app became unreliable with constant crashes in presentation mode. Since the last upgrade using the pencil when in slide show mode is so slow that it is impossible to write properly. In addition, the color of the ink changes randomly from black to red at the beginning. It is hard to believe that this upgrade made it through quality control. In its current version, the app is unusable if you use it to write in slide show presentations. I wished I could go back to version 1.3 when the app was stable and working as it should.
Needs a serious update
by ~좋은사람~ on 2018/08/27 01:32
I don’t know what is wrong with this app these days but it is super glitchy on my phone and iPad. It keeps saying someone else is working on my stuff. I’m only logged in on two devices and no one has access to my account. I usually receive an email when I connect to a new device so I would know if someone was logged in. Then it deleted my work and kept saying it couldn’t save. It’s done this multiple times and it’s frustrating as I am an English teacher and use PowerPoint to make lessons. Please fix this as it has happened way more than twice.
PowerPoint is amazing
by #Skyisacat on 2018/04/27 23:26
PowerPoint has helped me with typing skills and also helps me with stories. No internet, no problem! Under 18? You can still make power points. I am only 10 years old! With PowerPoint I am making a 10 chapter story. Also I don’t have to be bothered by finding an app that helps with making presentations. More transitions, edit help, and more!
Works For Me...
by OxenAlexFree88 on 2019/02/09 03:29
I understand apps need updates...but for simple things like clip art or word art...no. Same issue with word docs-no clip art!!! Also i had issues sending. I was able to without Outlook (app used to send PowerPoints) But there were no transitions. 😭😭 I love word but some parts of this NEW updated version of all of word has got me dissapointed. Im still under 20 and love making stories and PowerPoints but...can i still with this?🤔🤔🧐👎😕
Only missing a few things to be the perfect app
by Teriisland on 2019/02/01 22:22
I wish this app could unzip files, and had a recording feature. Possibly even import And convert Adobe formats with the same images. A recording feature would also be helpful for students looking to record lectures. Another option that would be helpful is the ability to sort documents by subject.
Please fix the text selection and cursor error!
by chrinist on 2018/11/24 18:24
Please fix the text selection on this app. When I hold the space bar down to move my text cursor around the screen, the cursor immediately moves to the top left of my PowerPoint and I can’t move it back down to the bottom of the screen. This is a major problem. Also, when I am trying to select 1 word to delete or modify, there is no “Select”option. It is simply a “Select All” which is extremely annoying because then every word on the ppt slide is now selected when I was simply wanting to edit 1 word:/
Missing basic functionality
by Trivial Sublime on 2017/10/10 18:05
I want to love this. I really do. Unfortunately, Microsoft has left out plenty of basic functions that PowerPoint requires. For example, you cannot create or edit Slide Masters. Microsoft’s answer: “If you need to do that, go to a computer and use the desktop version.” Gee, thanks Microsoft. If it can read an element of a presentation, it should be able to edit that element of a presentation. Until it is able to do so, this is just a toy rather than a serious productivity device. I’m seriously wondering if Microsoft intentionally cripples iOS versions of the Office suite to boost Surface Pro sales.
Multitasking on iPad
by luna-gh on 2019/01/23 17:56
As a college student, I rely on PowerPoint everyday to annotate slides during my lectures. However, it is so annoying when I switch between PowerPoint and other apps (like GoodNotes). When I switch back to PowerPoint after about 1 minute, the whole app refreshes and kicks me out of the file I had open. Not only that, but when I open the file again it starts off at the first slide. My professors have lengthy PowerPoints, and scrolling to the slide I got kicked out of is quite annoying. Please fix this!!
Bad for Iphone, great for iPad
by Good, but could be better on 2018/01/13 18:04
I downloaded first on my iPhone, but it difficult and most features were hard to work with. I downloaded it on the iPad and it was amazing. It has most of the features that the pc program, and it was more easily to work with. It does need more work and improvement for iPhones for sure.
Way behind current tech
by realreviewsnobs on 2017/09/30 22:22
I use this app daily and have submitted many requests for simple improvements and it has only gotten worse. It has Apple Pencil "support" no more than using a $1 stylus from the checkout aisle. Zero palm rejection, limited customization of the color pallet such that I have to scroll through the color wheel each time I choose a different color, even though I only use three. Other improvements have been made that have made the app better but this is a big disappointment.
App is too large.
by Gaby/Herdz on 2018/11/07 00:41
I overall like PowerPoint. It helped me do my homework right in my phone rather than taking 15 minutes to walk to the library, only to find out it’s closed due to Election Day. However, my problem with PowerPoint it’s that it takes FOREVER to download. Right now as I am typing, PowerPoint is downloading on my new phone, and it’s only 1/4 done, and it’s been quite a while. I’d really like if you could make the app faster when downloading. Thanks.

Cumbersome!
by Mld2416 on 2019/05/05 18:31
I am totally frustrated with this application. I’m done! I’ll get something that works right.

by victoriaahoang on 2019/05/03 07:06
Horrible horrible app. Constantly shuts down and signs you out. The constant glitching is extremely frustrating. I feel like I’m spending more time in class trying to fix this app than paying attention to the lecture.

Why, every time Microsoft Office apps are updated, is the download 200-300 MB? Has Microsoft not heard of delta updates? Otherwise, good app!

I’m constantly trying to work on my PowerPoint, but the app will not let me use the right bullet point, spacing or tabs. It was so infuriating I tried to use office online. Even though I clicked “open PowerPoint online”, it still takes me to the app. Would not recommend, buggy and will not let me select the tools I need to complete my PowerPoint.

Great tool for schooling
by Manga kid on 2018/02/28 08:32
I started using MS office apps on my iPad at the start of the spring semester; especially PowerPoint.
Sick.

Cumbersome!
by Mld2416 on 2019/05/05 18:31
I am totally frustrated with this application.

Thanks.
