Greedy company
by Coldzero17 on 2020/05/29 13:34
I bought the app to use it for my daily navigation in my car. After i pay for the app I surprised that there is a long list to pay for in order to get the app fully functional. I have to pay more for carplay to be functional !!! I have to pay more to get more frequent map updates !!! To get speed cam alerts also I have to pay more !!! And there is a long list of functions that are disabled and i have to pay more dollars to activate them while they are available for FREE in other apps !!! If there is less than one star I would choose it. Now am using other free apps like Waze and Maps.me and they are way better than Sygic.
I WASTED MY INVESTMENT
by Alex_Ault on 2020/05/29 01:33
I just does not work. The voice commands causes the app to crash. The map still shows a location in Boca Raton, Florida as Sunshine Parkway, which does not exist.
Sygic not up to job
by Cmljr on 2020/05/28 14:03
(Use on an iPhone in a BMW) I have had this ap over a year and have made in-app purchases. New map update downloaded yesterday. I have tried to like this app but can't recommend. When it tries to communicate with my car it acts like a phone call on the screen and sound is cut off while connecting so you only get part of the instructions. Just turned off this connection to try using phone speakers. Also does not show turns on the future like most apps. I also have Waze (best out there in my opinion), Google maps, Apple maps, and Navigon. I like the Sygic feature that shows distance to gas stops but other than that until they fix this comm link by Bluetooth I suggest you avoid this one.
Maps don’t have real time traffic update
by SudhirHebbar on 2020/05/27 19:14
Maps don’t have real time traffic updates as Google/Apple/Waze maps have. Please improve in this area. I have tried offline feature. It works good. We need the app to also remember where I parked when the car is parked so it can guide the user back to parking if needed. Google /Apple/ waze have this feature. Please help incorporate these features in your next release . Update:: Lowering the rating to 1 star. Reason is that I have been giving constant feedback for over 2 months about app crashing when connected to CarPlay and all I get is standard response that reinstall the app. I even did that, but it still crashes. Developers please fix the issue. Also many of locations which you can find on Google, Waze and Apple maps are not shown on this app map. Don’t know what the issues are for not getting proper updates to maps. I have even updated the map when I reinstalled the app. Is this company still working? Or because of COVID-19 they have bundled up , shut down? Totally disappointed with this app ..
Deceptive pricing changes over time & poor navigation ability
by PaulWDG on 2020/05/26 19:20
Probably the second review I’ve ever written, I normally don’t bother; but I really hate paying for lifetime licenses only to have it wittled away in an attempt to get more money out of me for what I already paid for. 1) I have lifetime map updates. Recently they’re only giving me four updates per year and want me to pay more money for getting monthly updates. 2) I’ve paid for lifetime speed camera viewing. Now they’ve separated mobile speed cameras as a unique type of camera and want me to pay extra for viewing those. 3) I haven’t used sygic in ages because it leads me in to dead ends and poor routes as compared to google maps. Maybe in other parts of the world it works better, but in South Africa I don’t trust its routing logic after multiple bad experiences.

Becoming a scam
by SAS321 on 2020/05/24 01:36
The app was way ahead of competition at the beginning but now has become a ploy to milk the existing customer base. Three free map updates are promised. Then, it pushes you to get monthly updates for a recurring fee. The current map is from January 2020 and the next free one is not until October 2020!! How do you figure the three updates?!
Can’t stop it
by KAREN 1111111 on 2020/05/22 19:36
I don’t care how good an app is, if it not easy to discontinue it and stop charges well no it’s not for me. I put it on my phone and then it said that it was going to charge me premium in 7 days and then every time I sign in so that I can discontinue it, it says wrong password. So I change password and try to sign in again still says wrong password. I tried again. No go. So this app could bring Jesus back and I still wouldn’t get it

Very upset
by Mt4012 on 2020/05/19 22:08
This product works well on the phone but does not project in Apple CarPlay. I like the view but if it does not project on the screen in the truck, well wasted money purchasing premium. Really wished it worked.
Rip-off warning - Shuts down and bad data
by cawoodwilly123456 on 2020/05/19 16:41
This is a new phone. This app will shutdown randomly. The speed limits are mostly wrong. Odometer is as much as 10 mph under at times. You could get a ticket. I have lived here for 15 years and the speed limits have not changed as long as I can remember. So far can not get a refund. So I guess I got ripped off. Then again this is an iPhone and we all know iPhones are poorly designed devices made only to transfer money out of our pockets. If I could transfer this to my Android. I would up date this review with 5 stars. But you already said that will never happen. So nothing left for me to do but warn others.
City names are wrong
by Coldsmoke on 2020/05/16 12:09
This is the oddest navigation App I have ever used. One would think the map data would be accurate but in this case it’s not. Asa result, it’s pointless to use. As an example, I tried to enter my home location and it could not find it. I then realized it’s because it identifies my location as a different city name. The city it identifies is about 6 miles away! I then tried searching on other known POI’s and it randomly had city name wrong on several other cities. While the map display looks nice, and the offline maps are nice, this app is useless to me if the map data is that inaccurate.

*BEST* OFFLINE MAPS EVER
by cdsghopgftvhbjift on 2020/05/06 06:05
This app has the best online maps ever and it is true on everything it says. It is so good it let me download the WHOLE OF NEW YORK In around only 300 mb. That’s crazy good. It has many features for FREE which some apps you have to pay for is to download large areas. Now it’s just down to having enough space on your phone. Other than that this is the best I’ve found and I would also highly recommend it to anyone who doesn’t have or doesn’t want to waste cellular date running directions. Unless it is vital to the mission to know the traffic, then this app is for the average user or even above average maps user. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS OVER ANY MAPS APP (GOOGLE MAPS). Not saying google maps is bad but I’m saying this is worth replacing google maps. By the way THIS IS ALL FOR *FREE*. Also I am not a robot for the developer of this app. To prove it my YouTube channel is “Apple Watch Universe.” Thank you for whoever is reading this. Download this app and keep it, you won’t regret it.
Not as advertised
by Mbdodge on 2020/05/05 14:19
I bought the Sygic Car Navigation app because Sygic advertises turn-by-turn instructions with lane assist. I bought it outright for about $75USD. I could not get the lane assist to work, so I contacted Sygic for assistance to find out if I had a bad setting. Rudo from Sygic support replied and told me I needed the “normal” version of Sygic GPS, not the Car Navigation version. Rudo said that because I had already purchased the Car Navigation app that I could get the “normal” version for free, so I went ahead and bought the two in-app purchases for Real View Navigation and Heads Up Display. Unfortunately I DIDN’T get the “normal” version for free - after the trial period it expired even though I had already purchased the two in-app premium options! And during the trial period the lane assist NEVER WORKED! Real View Navigation didn’t display on my car’s infotainment screen. I emailed Rudo back twice, including screen shots from Sygic, screen shots from my car’s internal GPS, and photos of the road. I hoped this was just an issue with the settings on my iPhone. NO RESPONSE. At the end of the day Sygic took over $80USD of my money and I got NOTHING I wanted. The descriptions are false. The Car Navigation app supposedly doesn’t even HAVE lane assist (according to Rudo), and the normal Sygic GPS’s lane assist never worked. To top it off, the GPS just isn’t accurate (consistently shows me about 1 to 2 blocks away from my correct position - Google doesn’t do that!) and the spellings they use are just ... well ... incorrect. It’s awful difficult to find someplace when they spell it wrong. It’s too bad because the maps and interface look pretty sweet, but it just doesn’t have the one thing I bought it for (lane assist) and it’s too difficult to use with the way they spell things. The things it does have are more difficult to use than Google maps, so I wish I had saved my $80+ and just stayed with Google.
Hoped For Better - Deleted It.
by Click&Burn on 2020/05/04 04:52
The navigation is ok but that’s it... Using it in the USA, The location and address search functionality is very poor even for addresses that have been around forever. It couldn’t find an entire city when I searched for it, even though that city was on the map (as I manually dragged to find it) but it wasn’t named? There are too many places and locations that are named incorrectly, not at all, are missing lines off their address or have the wrong city listed on their addresses? Zip codes don’t work neither? Can’t be relied on, don’t bother - you’ll delete it.

by Paul M II on 2020/04/26 12:45
The app started out strong, but I wonder about the dedication at this point. It’s been 2 months without any improvements, and the app crashes on a frequent basis. I hope the developers haven’t abandoned the app. If they have, I’m sure we would all appreciate it if we were informed of such. Thank you.

The app keeps crashing on me and closes on its own.
by Jmc06907 on 2020/04/19 22:18
So the app crashes, closes out on its own. Then it won’t pair to my CarPlay. Keeps kicking off the car and won’t stay. Disappointed since I paid for the app. I want to recommend this app cause it’s looks way better than Alot outthere. However this is not ok. Once fixed I’ll start recommending

Street names don’t always pop up when in drive mode. the app crashes in the middle of a destination. The hud customization is lacking and doesn’t have a feature for when the phone is in landscape. The picture gps feature doesn’t work that well.
Awesome app but poor search bar
by Boby Johns on 2020/04/14 10:18
The search bar is the backbone of any GPS app. It barely works; can’t find simple things and ask me to check the maps when I already have it downloaded.
Too many problems with the app!
by Ethanluu on 2020/04/12 17:55
I encountered many issues with the app and here are some of the situations. First, the app crashed 6 to 7 times during the 1-hour drive. Second, the app won’t accept the house address number in Taiwan ( I haven't tried in the US yet) I have to figure out the house when I got there! I was so frustrated especially try to look for the house at night time. And many more... I won't recommend anyone to pay for the app until those problems got fixed. For your information, I am using iPhone 11 with iOS 13.4.1

Not a bad app, but some minor issues
by Geeeeeesh on 2020/04/02 23:24
I bought this a month or so ago, looking for an app like Navigon was before Garmin bought them out and eventually stopped updating and pulled it from their stores I wanted one on my iPhone 10 that I did not have to be concerned about having cellular coverage while traveling and this one (like navigon did) does that. I had been using the navigon app since they shut down support meaning my maps were not being updated so I wanted something that was. Maps are from Tom Tom. I use it from trips involving rental cars. This app is not too bad, but my issues are the screen switches from 3D view to 2D view quite regularly for no apparent reason. Another issue is it lags about warnings, such as railroad crossings and actual distance. Today it told me I was approaching a crossing in 1000 miles. I was maybe 75-100 feet from it. It seems to have speed warning alerts at the 7mph over that I have set for local/city/urban for highway and rural which I chose 10mph. It did ok for trip routes. The issues I mentioned are not big issues, just slightly annoying. If they’d get the above mentioned bugs and others taken care of, they could have a 5 star product.
Useless now
by Beighn on 2020/04/01 11:53
This was a great app when I purchased it a year ago but greed has corrupted it since. Ever since they started the map subscription towards the middle to end of last year the software is full of bugs. It will no longer give you the fastest route and will give you a route that is 1-3 hours longer. Will not reroute it’s directions. Crashes at least twice each 2 1/2 hour trip. Maps are still incomplete such as 3D building feature. Incorrect info on maps such as street names. And the dash cam plugin is the most frustrating bugfest. The dash cam will only record for a certain amount of time and when you go to start a new recording it will over write your last recording. Customer service will not actually read any bug reports you send them and reply with a canned email that doesn’t actually address the bug reported and try to up sell more of their plug ins. The core software has bugs that are overlooked while they focus on adding more pay-to-use features that have their own bugs. It’s just a cash grab now with little tech support and broken features.
How to cancel
by HunnieB510 on 2020/03/30 01:13
How do I cancel subscription? I cannot find help desk support. I just purchased 5 mins ago and realized there is a CarPlay version.
Almost perfect, just 1 weird issue
by jhassig on 2020/03/26 21:27
I would have given 5 stars but most addresses I have searched do not populate. I found out that for some reason its looking for township name instead of city name. Who knows the township names?? A work around is typing in the street address and zip code. That seems to work everytime. I like all of the features although i didnt pay for the live traffic, so I cannot speak to that.
This could have been a great app
by Chassusa on 2020/03/24 20:56
The app gives me district instead of address and city. I can’t use this app in the US because we don’t use district on GPS. Too bad! I wanted to like this app. I do not recommend this app if you live outside Europe, it does not work and help is not easy to get. I waisted my money please don’t waist yours!

UPDATE! Don’t listen to the boneheads, thus new version is the least glitchy and most accessible version yet. If ever I was a fanboy it’d be for Sygic vs other nav software! Version 18.5 made some much needed improvements A little too cartoony but a step in the right direction They already have the best navigation software and they just keep getting more and more convenient

Why I can’t get my in-app purchased back
I really want to like it
by shockerspaz on 2020/03/16 00:03
So, I paid for the upgraded everything (except for the subscription), to use this as a backup to Waze (for offline driving)... it seems like every time I need to use it, it fails. Whether it's because the maps need to be downloaded again, or the app just crashes, or it can't find the address entered (no other app seems to have an issue). My workaround is to put the address in google maps, copy the coordinates, paste into Sygic, and remove the parentheses (otherwise it won't work). 🤦🏼‍♂️ I give it 3 stars for effort, features, and potential value... but I'm so disappointed. Update: I still have not had a decent experience using this app... The quickest way to lose any rights for notifications on my phone, is to harass me with pop-ups prompting me to buy more features, when the features I've already paid for are buggy as hell. I'm one step away from completely uninstalling this.

by CmcDr on 2020/03/08 20:55
This app looked good in the App Store but after downloading it a few times I only give it a 1 star. Many of the POIs in my local area are out of date, new roads and housing developments are missing as are new gas stations. For a nav app to be truly functional it must be up to date.
Crashes constantly …
by ArnellTheBlaster on 2020/03/08 16:47
Update: App has been stable for the last few days with no app update. This makes me think the issue was in the backend when it was calling home (traffic updates etc). Going on a trip to test. Finger crossed (which is not something I should be thinking of). This version or combination of iOS causes this app to crash constantly. I have been unable to keep this running while driving and driving/navigating. (Will not stay active for more than 10 minutes before crashing). It will crash and go to the home screen. I have deleted and reinstalled the app, including the maps, but have the same issue. For me, the app is unusable. Went back to an older unsupported nav app and it seems to work fine on the latest version of iOS.

Complicated and inaccurate
by Freedom1776! on 2020/03/07 19:10
I bought this app before and I got a refund right away. After talking with a coworker and his recommendation I purchased it again. This app cannot find addresses, the user interface is horrible, and the voice used is so robotic I think I’m listening to some old synthesized voice. Unpleasant. I don’t recommend the Car Play app. Burned again.
IT CRASHES
by T0x15e on 2020/03/07 17:59
Constantly crashes for me. During my last trip it did it 3 times. Every time it does you have to restart it, confirm that you're still on the same route, and wait for it to do whatever it does for several seconds before it goes back to giving directions. This is completely unacceptable and has not been addressed in any of the many updates this app has received... But they sure do like to add paid add-ons like HUDs and dashcams! And that's not even getting into the shady map update practices. Not even a month after I paid for a lifetime subscription to updates and traffic, they added a new super-duper premium map update option that gets you monthly map updates instead of quarterly... Except sometimes months get skipped and the maps are still out of date. I just can't trust it anymore. I'm canceling whatever subscriptions I have with Sygic and deleting the app. Enough is enough.
Needs improvement
by Rammm13 on 2020/03/06 12:42
The app needs a natural voice guidance, the existing is very robotic sounding!
Sadly, same disappointment here as well.
by Babacar on 2020/03/04 23:42
Was delighted about the full version purchase until the crashes started to occur with unreliable route calculation. ( Unable to use it while traveling from NY to Chicago) The app does rely solely on a solid & consistent internet connection, more likely to occur in heavily populated area such as any major cities. Just like everyone else,I went back to the free Google Maps, with no issues. I did report the troubleshoot via email, however to this day I haven’t got any solution except for an automated email referring me to a user guide outlining how to force close the crashing app. Apparently, it looks like everyone is out of the office or hibernating.
Love the app but it has been crashing while I have been using it.
by Medic Tim on 2020/03/04 15:39
While using the app with Apple CarPlay over the last several months it will randomly crash and I will have to make several attempts to open it again. As of today it crashes when ever I open it and have not been able to use it at all. I have spent a lot of money on the app for these services and I expect a more stable app to use everyday.
App works okay—but
by galway on 2020/03/03 20:54
The app generally irks okay until you mill a couple of its turns. Then it goes bonkers with the voice saying one thing and the map shows another. Also, one irritating thing is that the voice pronounces “onto” as “onju.” Couldn’t figure out what it was saying at first. Then there are peripheral apps that I’m not sure work within this app or separately b

I have been using this app for about a year on and off. It is easy to use and mostly reliable. It does have some drawbacks. It’s not good at giving information soon enough to get in correct lanes fo turning. It doesn’t handle complex intersections well. If I would make my most pointed complaint it would be handling intersections. Otherwise a great app.

by Spotted_Horse on 2020/02/23 19:05
######################### Updated Review ######################### Okay, so here’s and update on the navigation product. With the latest version all of the complaints I had have mostly been rectified. The display is beautiful, navigation is great, and I bought all the add-ons and they all work as advertised. There are still a couple of minor things with the latest version that I think can be improved, but for the most part I am ecstatic about the app. I have the premium version with world maps, and I love the 3 updates a year. I though about getting the premium maps where you get more updates throughout the year, but I really don’t go that many places where it would pay off. I’m even trying the stop light countdown beta that tells you how much time is left before the light turns red. It’s right about 60% of the times on the lights I’ve run across in Virginia. So why only three stars? Because I would like to use the app on the Android device I just got to replace the old radio in the car and guess what. You have to buy everything over again. This is utter BS. Their wiki claims they can’t do cross-platform licensing, but other companies where I have to login to their site to confirm I have an active account with them had no trouble with it. So I figure if I have to buy it all over again for the other platform then I will look at the alternatives. While the app is great, I don’t feel I should have to buy it all over again. Hence the 3 stars. ########################### The routing of trips is terrible. I don't understand why another app can map a trip that take an hour and ten minutes, and this one takes two hours for the same journey. It seems as though this app takes the longest route possible, no matter how the settings are. Also, it seems as though it always is giving information on staying on a road; at every light it's "take road ahead" or "stay on this road" even though there is no other way to go. The map update is still broken as well, just spinning away and never stopping. I paid for worldwide maps and HUD, but the app is useless until a couple of things are fixed.
Buyer’s remorse!
by MedZoom on 2020/02/23 17:52
Still no response (more than a week) from Sygic regarding a simple question—always concerning when app developer is not responsive to consumer issues. Technically, I experienced the following issues: -frequent erroneous turns and misdirection during navigation using TX map -lagging voice guidance timing so as to miss turns or be required to turn abruptly to maintain navigation pathway -this is a preference issue but I believe it is a significant weakness in Sygic’s design: instead of voice navigation announcing street names for upcoming turns, Sygic announces, “take first right, or take second left” which is highly confusing when navigating through many unfamiliar city streets. Street names are more intuitive for drivers. That said, I am disappointed given there are free navigation apps that simply work better. Sygic needs some work to compete in the navigation market—especially at their price points.

Crashing in the middle of navigation
by Beerabhai on 2020/02/17 17:19
I don’t know why this has so much rating. I spend money for rating and guess what? It crashes before I get to my destination leaving me confused where to go now. And tell me where to turn too close and many time I can’t make it because I am unable to change lane. This is not too bad but crashing in middle of navigation is bad. Wasted my money. Going back to Google.

by Perrander on 2020/02/14 19:27
I have used this app for a few years and have loved it, but after a recent update, I am now receiving full page pop up ads WHILE I AM DRIVING that cover the map. Why would you do this so that I have to click on it to get the ad to go away while I need to be keeping my eyes on the road?!?! I have already paid quite a bit for premium + traffic plus a few other addons, so I don’t feel that I should be receiving any ads at all.

Updated Review
by Muir71 on 2020/02/07 05:01
Previously they had issues with their speed calculations, that is now fixed. The issues that remain is they still don’t show you posted speed limits like their online documentation suggests. The navigation guidance assumes that you’ll be taking their route, and when you choose fastest navigation, it’s normally slower than other options by quite a bit. I’ve even seen the map spin continually at a red light where it wants me to turn, even though Im not driving. Also if you veer off from their route, the navigation doesn’t really act like it’s tracking your gps location and keeps following it’s assumed guidance for 10+ seconds which is quite annoying since their routing is normally slower. On straight roads, I’ve seen the route guidance tell me to take a left hand turn lane and go straight through it? I have a screenshot of the issue and even looking at the picture it makes less sense than trying to explain it in writing. Finally the developer doesn’t respond to email cases. A long time ago they were great to communicate with. Since they had an app crashing issue, they just close out all generated cases with that response and never reply back to their cases. I have brought up these issues with them and have received 0 responses other than a case number and they’re aware of their app crashing mid guidance. Buyer’s beware. If you’re looking for offline maps that give you slow congested routing guidance, then this app is for you. If you’re looking for offline maps that actually route you around traffic and has constant map updates, check out TomTom. I’ll be more than happy to update this review assuming the developer is actually willing to update their glaring issues with their app and customer support.

A Nice Functional Navigation Tool
by Rhmachote on 2020/02/03 03:26
Navigation tools are a dime a dozen and cell phones have gotten better compared to the simple GPS of old. I saw this one compared to my old Garmin and was impressed. This cell app has very nice features and work well. Very little lag time but if your connection slows it does to. But, so far no issues. Just wish some of the best features didn't cost so much. That seems to be the norm now I will use this one for now. Meets my needs and works.

by Engineer 59 on 2020/01/31 05:25
I asked for a gift card for iTunes last Christmas of 2018. Got one so bought the Sygic app and a couple of add on. Several times it didn't have the address in the database or took me somewhere completely different. Changed and used Maps app or Google and went right to the destination. Thought it was a fluke so I have given it a year and still disappointed. I like the features, show correct lane etc, but it's useless if the databases don't have the address and can't give correct directions. I'm done. Money didn't come out of my pocket but I hate that the gift was wasted. "long press, delete app and it's data, complete ". Maybe it works across the pond but not worth much in the USA.

Not very good
by Dr infrared on 2020/01/19 19:13
This app isn’t good. The display has very little contrast so the streets are nearly invisible except for the highlighted route when using for directions. I can’t see any other streets on the display. Another problem it has is in navigation. I used it this morning and it was telling me to take a u turn, even though my destination was in front of me. Another problem is when typing in a destination it says this point isn’t on the route, even though a route isn’t entered. And it won’t let me finish my route. All in all a junk app that is worthless.

Disappointed
by Subxxero on 2018/10/11 00:44
Downloaded this app months ago but only used it once or twice because the search bar was horrible. I was using Google Maps and I never had issues finding places near me. This app seems to expect you to know the full address of where your going. You can’t just type in the name of a restaurant. This is just frustrating. A few days ago, I decided to give the app one more chance because I liked the idea of the augmented reality feature ( which I paid for). I tried it for the first time today and it was a total let down. The idea is awesome but it’s hard to tell where your next turn is. The AR screen tells your speed and distance but there are no cues to warn you about exits, turns, NADA! Nothing! I missed my exit because the sound was turned down and you simply can’t see the turns in AR mode. I’m going to triple check that I didn’t miss a setting somewhere because I really want this to work. If not... I’m going to request a refund. UPDATE: still no sound! Then when you get online to try and contact the seller, they just send you in circles. There is no clear way to request a refund. I’m sure I can call itunes but why not make it easy? BECAUSE YOU DONT WANT TO GIVE $$ BACK FOR A POOR APP! Sometimes customer service is what makes or breaks your company...hiding your non existent service Dept behind links that send you in frustrating circles. I WILL BE TRYING TO CONTACT SOMEONE to try and get my money back.
Still frustrating!
by Histnrd on 2018/08/04 18:16
Update:the search function has greatly improved, but now the directions leave much to be desired. I have noticed that the map shows all lanes of a highway are fine, only to find that it tells me it is time to turn less than 1000 feet from the exit, sometimes it finally tells me I am turning right when the exit only lane appears. Also, on my last trip it kept telling me to get into the carpool lane so it showed me turning, every mile or two; this made it impossible to know when my real turn would be. It would be nice to get more specific info about future turns too. Finally, why is the info bar at top sometimes blue and sometimes green? I am sure there is a reason but haven’t figured it out yet. At this point I only use Sygic when I am in areas with no cell signal, otherwise I use Apple maps. I used to love Sygic and keep hoping they will finally work out all the bugs. If I can get the program to understand where I am going, it is top notch, but actually getting it to recognize an address or find a location is frustrating at best and an utter failure at worse. At one point you could share an address from Apple maps and that was great but then it was removed, by Apple or Sygic I have no idea, but pretty much an epic failure now most of the time. As I do like the maps, once I have gone someplace I mark the location so I can find it again.
Good maps. Poor navigation
by LifeInLoFi on 2019/08/22 04:44
The maps are good but not the best. The off-line maps and navigation increase their value, however. The turn by turn directions has some good features including speed camera warnings. The navigation needs a lot of improvement and can be confusing and possibly dangerous if you don’t know the route. Directions are often vague and confusing, and sometimes even incorrect. While driving on a highway, the directions often do not give exit names so you don’t know which road you exit on. They often told me to turn where there are no turns. Directions tell you to simply “turn left” instead of “turn left to merge onto the highway”. And the directions missed the Walmart 5 miles from my house located in the the middle of a major US city, instead directing me to the back of the strip center one block away from the Walmart. I bought the heads up display option which is a good feature — basic but well done. But it’s useless if the rest of the app is going to get me lost along the way. For turn by turn directions, the two major iOS map apps are much more accurate and easier to follow.
Update to previous 1-star rating
by Clpritch on 2019/08/04 13:48
New Review: I love the graphics and Lane prompts in this app. Development team is prompt about responding and they’ve fixed a lot of issues that made the app hard to use. Landmarks and locations now are searchable. Yesterday the app was nimble enough to find the best route through an Interstate closure with traffic slowed to a stop AND multiple road closures in downtown. Never encountered stopped traffic on the drive using Sygic. It takes a little getting used to but well worth it. First review: This app has very few landmarks loaded into its databases. You must Google a landmark then put the address into Sygic in order to navigate. Love the graphics but I’ve never found a single location in the app by name, including libraries and schools. Not worth the money. Company offered to enter each one I report but would not refund the purchase until they have more appropriate map and search capabilities.
Useless now
by Beighn on 2020/04/01 11:53
This was a great app when I purchased it a year ago but greed has corrupted it since.
Good overall

Nice app, It takes a while to get the hang of it as the blue lines at the beginning confused me to whether avoid or stick to these. Volume was down though and it all made sense when I heard and saw the instruction. Would suggest to change to green colour though as green is always “go this way”. I travel a lot to different places and I bought the world unlimited version. I’ve just tried it in Spain where in Madrid worked pretty nicely, the only problem was when inside a tunnel with junctions in it as these are not shown (I reckon due to loss of GPS signal) but the commands need a bit of improvement to get in the correct lane. Between Oliva (Valencia) back to Madrid, the app got lost four different times showing junctions that didn’t exist and erroneous turns when is not even possible. The way is very straight forward, very much a motorway where there is only one time at which you need to make a slight turn to move onto another motorway (Barcelona or Madrid). I just ignored the spurious commands but this definitely needs to be looked into as may cause confusion. Once the turn commands were ignored the display reverts back to normal. Also, a heard quite a few times “slight turn” when it was a nearly 90 degree turn. All the best and keep updating and correcting these minor bugs. It’s definitely a worth to have app
Not worth the money
by Brendan the deer on 2018/09/17 20:22
Laughably poor navigation, but the joke’s on me because I was foolish enough to buy the premium version. Directions are often wrong - with obvious inaccuracies that would take us well out of our way if followed, or had us leaving highways only to be told to circle back and renter them. When I ignored incorrect directions, the map acted as though I hadn’t and remained centered on roads I was not on for up to 30 seconds after which it had difficulty plotting a new course for several minutes. Maps themselves appear be be based on old data and graphics look dated. Lane assist a nuisance as it pops up seemingly randomly. Buggy spoken directions failed to name many streets, stuttered, repeated itself frequently, and hilariously used wrong units with alerts like “speed camera in 1000 miles.” Unsure where they are getting their traffic data but it is not even close to real time. Also unsure where their five star reviews are coming from. Wouldn’t be a real issue if this app weren’t so expensive.
Junk App for Navigation
by ZomB667 on 2017/09/23 16:18
This app is junk compared to Maps, google maps etc. Lies about lane preview but I’ll I’ve seen is a window with a with a picture of what’s supposed to be a road and just two blue “lanes” and this pops up randomly, Horrible navigation, at least in LA county, tells you to go the opposite way of destination sometimes and tells you to go one way then changes at the last min, also if your going to be driving in the same direction for a mile or longer all it tells you is follow directions and doesn’t preview what to look for next till its almost late, had to switch to maps to get actual directions and and a direction and street name to look for. Had this app open while my gf had maps on this was giving a completely different direction that would make me want to make a u turn or jump on the freeway while were close to my destination but not too sure of getting there. Don’t buy this app its your better off using a different navigation app
Pay to CarPlay.. pay pay pay..
by David O in Tacoma on 2019/01/04 15:54
There’s great features in this product. I love the stop light camera warnings, I love that it warns you if you’re going over the posted speed limit in an area. The traffic updates are far better than competing products or the built in iOS app. There are some quirks: speed limit zone aren’t accurate in my area - sometimes being off by as much as 15 MPH and there are weird artifacts like my next door neighbor’s house being listed as a restaurant(it’s not). Also - everything is an upgrade or a “premium feature”. Some things I can see why: Their real time dash cam is an upgrade - ok that’s fair. Their real view AR navigation is an upgrade - ok. I can see that too. Map updates for life? Painful but at the moment cheaper than competitors. But CARPLAY SUPPORT IS A PAID ADDON? Really? That’s just gouging people. Either offer support or don’t.
Doesn’t need mobile data connection! Great everywhere.
by Bobshoe1 on 2018/11/24 04:35
We used Sygic for two years touring the western USA in a Sprinter Van type RV. Other than downloading maps, it does not need cell data for navigation. Even in the desert where there was no cellphone reception, and therefore no Google or Apple maps, Sygic never failed us. The app keeps getting better and better with updates and features like head up navigation on your windshield — which is so helpful driving at night. Much better than a Garmin or Rand McNally dedicated GPS. On the iPads you get an amazing large navigation screen, unlike a small GPS screen. The small lifetime payment gives me Sygic on my iPhone, iPad and iPad Mini. This is one of the top ten apps of any kind I’ve ever used.
Not what I paid for
by rfplanner on 2018/10/28 02:20
I have just driven from El Salvador to the US border. This program has taken me to parts of Puebla and San Luis Potosí that I would not recommend anyone traveling to. The routing algorithm is flawed, or the maps are not up to date. In Mexico, where I was advised that they had up to date information, there are hundreds of petroleum stations not in the database. I have not been able to find hotels that have been built for at least five years. Just this morning I wanted to leave San Luis Potosí for Monclova and even though I could see the correct road in front of me, just 20m away, the program tried to route me down backstreets that were not in any way main highways. I drove to the highway and the program continued to try to route me elsewhere. It’s flawed, no doubt in my mind. I ended up having to use Waze to find my way correctly. Waze knew every point I put in. It found all the hotels I wanted to stay at. Also, the color scheme for the day is absolute rubbish, it can not be changed, and it’s almost impossible to see roads around a route. Want to try to divert to a different route? Forget it. Once the program runs its impossible to try to look for an alternative to avoid accidents or roadworks etc. In short, it’s a flawed product.
The worst and most expensive GPS app
by K0F13 on 2017/09/03 11:02
The crew cares about taking your money but not to fix this broken app. You put so much money into it and yet this app useless. Very pricey too. I thought this would be better than Waze but it's a complete garbage. Customer service is horrible. It's takes almost a month for customer service to contact you and when they do, they can't even help you with your issues. At least Waze is free and dependable and reliable (does not crash). Making an address or POI search in like impossible. It does not even come up and it's constantly crashing. Stay away from this over priced garbage GPS app. DO NOT LET THE NICE INTERFACE FOOL YOU!!!. It's all for the money but not about fixing this app. They also use very old maps. The arrow on the map course falls off the map and then rotates in confusion. THAT RIGHT THERE IS AN EXTREME HAZARD THAT COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. Stay away from this app until they take the initiative to fix this app.
Professional and Powerful GPS

GPS for automobiles is serious, very serious thing. Nowadays, erring the route is always a sign of lost time, unnecessary spending and nervousness. If you are looking for a professional geolocation tool to navigate safely and not be hostage to 3/4/5g and Wi-Fi, do not hesitate! Sygic is an excellent off-line browser with incredible accuracy and updated maps. Drive safely and assured that Sygic will always lead you to the best path. I did several tests with other GPS applications, but none proved so stable, precise and with an essential characteristic: Do not leave you in the hand, when it is more precise: when there is no internet or satellite signal. Sygic will take you wherever you want to go. Congratulations!

So far so good. Am giving 5 Stars and will be updating my thoughts after using each one and getting a feeling of the functionality of each. I have paid for every other app and am Hopi g this one will prove to the best one over time. Update: 1. Ability to reach customer service and no where on site map can I locate a customer service link for assistance. 2. I have been a long time customer and user of Sygic and have always been disappointed with the lack of customer service and also unable to find workarounds for iOS application issues. 3. Sygic does not recognize past purchases, such as my dash cam and front display (app for night driving). In other words, Both in the sygic website and App Store I am being ask to pay for a service that I already paid for months and even years back. Sygic has to step it up making it easier to reach customer service which is now nonexistent to be frank. As a longtime customer, I do hope that Sygic puts more time in assisting customers either by email or better yet an 800 number to confer with a live Sygic CS Representative. I hope someone from Sygic reads this below satisfactory rating and reach out to me being that it may be the only way to get in contact with someone
IT CRASHES
by T0x15e on 2020/03/07 17:59
Constantly crashes for me.
Angry Carplay Customer
by mecagueencima on 2019/01/26 12:45
This would have been a 5 star review. Let me start off by saying that this was the ONLY app I used for GPS. I loved it better than Google Maps, Apple Maps, WAZE, if there was a GPS app—I tried it. It’s an amazing app with really great features that you would get on an extremely fancy GPS unit (TOMTOM,Garmin, etc). I did pay to have accessibility to all of North America and some of the other add-ons you can purchase. I honestly didn’t mind paying the $20+ fee for all maps because of the offline map capability and the $5+ fee for the add-ons because the heads-up display is pretty cool. My frustration set in when Sygic was finally compatible with Carplay. I received a notification that it was finally available. I open the app, connect my phone and saw LIMITED CAPABILITY. I opened the app to see if I was doing something wrong when I saw the $35 fee to get full access on Carpay. You mean to tell me I am probably going to end up paying $60+ for a GPS app? It’s pretty messed up for this company to charge its already paid users a pretty hefty fee to have full access to a screen mirroring image on my dashboard. Thanks, but no thanks Sygic. You just lost me. If you make the fee $5 like your other add-ons, then sure. Although it really should just be included.
Downloaded for Use with CarPlay
by edzmusic on 2019/06/15 00:51
Disappointed. I was looking for a solid, offline backup to Apple Maps for use with CarPlay. Apple Maps is great, but when you are in a low signal area, it can’t re-route you should you need to go off-route. Three issues with Sygic’s app made it a no-go for use with CarPlay: 1. the app, while using CarPlay, had trouble keeping my vehicle centered on the display, while constantly turning the map so you cannot see what the route and upcoming turns are going to be - seemed like it was having trouble locking onto GPS; 2. the voice navigation instructions were robotic and SLOW - not late in announcing, just spoken slowly; 3. the app crashed twice while navigating. I gave up and switched back Apple Maps. By the way, I tried TomTom’s app for CarPlay and it was not much better. If only Apple Maps had an offline mode.
Some good, some bad
by PopKornman on 2017/08/05 12:53
This app is great for those that want a truly offline map option and the lane assist is great....in theory. What I don't like is the fact that it waits until under 2 miles to tell you which exit you're looking for, which doesn't give you enough time to get over on some interstates. And quick interchanges are very confusing. I'm talking about those interstate exits that split into multiple lanes for different roads. This app doesn't give me enough information to get into the right lane fast enough. The only way to help this is to make sure you have the sound turned up because the voice seems to give you a bit more information. However, I prefer to drive with voice off.
A little too glitchy for me!
by TrackerFan on 2019/05/16 18:57
I really want to like this app. I’m running it on an older iPhone 6 with the latest updates iOS. Two things especially in my experience: the upper left hand menu often defaults to a screen that tells you to speak one of several commands.....and of course you can’t close that screen to get back to the menu without suffering the same annoying crash; secondly, the trial version of the app that is supposed to give you an enhanced Apple Car Play experience crashes EVERY time I attempt to use it. My car uses the latest Ford Sync 3 infotainment which supports Car Play. Won’t be throwing good money after bad for that “upgrade”. Overall the interface is slick WHEN IT WORKS but It needs improvement and I hope they can get it done properly, but for now I’d say don’t waste your money here.
Almost there
by Jerry7709 on 2017/08/21 22:27
This is one of the better GPS app outside of Apple Maps. I love the number of lanes it shows while drive and which lane to stay in before exiting the highway. The required speed limit for the road has been accurate and the navigation has been accepted. My disappointment has been in how slow it responds to redirecting when a turn is missed or when it suggests a faster route. You can drive another 10 yards before it catches up with you to get you back on track. This almost a deal breaker and hope the next update addresses this critical issue. Also, it has trouble locating me when sitting in my driveway and i'm ready to goto my destination. It doesn't locate until I begins driving so I'm not sure if I have to make a left or right when I leave. Another problem I've found is that when it's time to exit it doesn't show or announce the exit until around a mile until it's time to exit. This is way too late while you are in rush hour or unfamiliar with the area. Redirection is too slow it takes about 20 yards or so to realize that you've missed your turn and need be redirected. Not good! Taking this app down one star.
Don’t waste your money.
by Bubbed on 2019/09/03 03:28
In order to use this with Apple CarPlay, you have to buy the premium subscription which is more than $50. I did this and regret it. You cannot post alerts through the Apple CarPlay interface. You have to unplug your phone from your charger and do any postings on your cell phone. Using your cell phone while driving is illegal in many states. And it is not safe even where it is legal. I have used Waze for several years and I am totally satisfied with it. I don’t know why I spent money for this app. Also, the maps don’t seem up-to-date. There is a Kroger grocery store that moved from down the street from my office to the next street over about five years ago. The new grocery doesn’t show up in the database but the old grocery is where this program will take you. If I didn’t know better, I would be lost. Don’t buy this program.
Upsetting
by Kevinaw on 2018/08/23 19:47
During the trial period, everything seemed to work flawless (which is why I purchased it). But, since I purchased it, I am finding more and more flaws...such as, it doesn’t save my settings. Almost every time I open the app, something has changed. I have “fastest route” in my settings, but when I preview the routes, the primary route it chooses is not the fastest. When I change the route and select the “fastest route”, it goes back to the “longest route” when I start driving. The speed limits are not always correct. There was a good 3 mile stretch of interstate where the indicated speed limit was 5mph faster than what it should have been. I drive this route a lot and it has been the slower speed limit for a very long time (years, not months!). Apparently, all they want is your money!
Issue for 6 month
by Lawen2121 on 2019/02/07 21:43
I have priced multiple Addons in Sygic then I changed my device till know I am not able to restore my purchases or update my maps, already contacted sygic support by email and provide them with the screen shot of error and that I was that I am not able to update my map and I got some feedback at the end I was bored and saw that it was not going any where it was just emails from my side and to there sides still I am trying to find a way to make it work it’s not logical for me to spend this amount of money for it not to work properly I hope some from sygic read this so they can provide me with support by the way today I opened a new case with them regarding same issue to see if something can be done after 6 month I am hoping for the best but I am not optimistic
Please fix
by mildly dissapointed on 2018/02/11 19:31
App is ok but my home address is wrong and sometimes gives the wrong directions or sends you the long way around if your gonna charge so much for the app you should be doing better research of the state maps and roads can’t ask customers to try and recall every missed turn or wrong direction the app gave them on a trip that’s why we pay for the app so we don’t have to do your research for you I hope you get the app fixed soon I had to stop using it for now considering it doesn’t even know my own address and I can’t change it I should be able to change the address myself at least on my map so I do like the design and the way it’s laid out but am disappointed in the way it executes the directions
HUD doesn’t work like it says it does
by MoGunz22 on 2018/05/14 19:11
I downloaded this because it markets itself as an app that works with a HUD. It’s a separate mirror component that has a mirror and gives you a HUD using a normal phone. All it needs to work is for the phone to project backwards. Think of how something is reflected in a mirror. I paid the $5.99 to unlock this “premium” feature. But it doesn’t give you navigation on the “HUD” display. It just tells you your speed and the speed it shows is wrong. Don’t waste your money. HUD does NOT work on this app. Update: They added a response that says to contact customer service. The app does not work as intended. I have never had to contact customer service for anY app in my life. Especially a navigation app. I downloaded another app with HUD capability. $2.99 and works right away. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP. IT COSTS MORE THAN THEIR COMPETITION AND DOESN'T WORK. GARBAGE.
Directions need work, can drive me crazy
by stephensafetyharbor on 2019/03/02 13:13
I love the app for the little speed limit notice in the lower right corner. It also shows my speed a I set it to turn red a 5 miles over the speed limit. For this, it would be better if it flashed a couple times as I exceed the 5 MPH over. But my big gripe is the verbal directions are quite stupid. I recently drove along a straight road with one route number for about seven miles. At virtually every intersection with a traffic light a voice told me to continue straight ahead! This happened about 15 times before I shut the voice off! Please fix it. I am Stephen in Safety Harbor Florida and I was traveling to the USF eye Institute in Tampa.
Good when driving, but when walking the voice commands go haywire
by JVP in Silverlake on 2019/02/14 08:38
Generally works as expected, and the downloadable maps are a godsend when driving where cellular or WiFi are not available or affordable. But when I connected earbuds to the iPhone in my pocket and used Sygic to give me directions while walking through Paris, France, the routing and voice commands went haywire, telling me arbitrarily to turn left, right, left, right, left as if I were doing somersaults. I had to turn off the routing and just use it as a plain map. Also, when using GPS my iPhone’s battery drained rapidly; a backup power pack is essential.
By far the BEST
by Johnirwin on 2017/07/20 21:39
This NAV application is by far the best out there. I've used all of them and this on stands apart. The only suggestion I have is making it easier to find the location your going to EASILY. Often, you are in a rush to get on the road and finding the CORRECT place just doesn't work out right so you need to slow down and try every way to "fool the application" in finding the correct place. Sometimes I need to drop off the APP and go to google where I find the place right off and then just use Google to get me there. ALL THE TIME WISHING THAT I WAS USING THIS APP. User needs yo know that finding the place is just as bullet proof as Google
Limited Value
by iPadiMac on 2019/01/19 01:02
I bought the add ones because they were fun and I wanted to see how it compared to other mapping programs, and because I wanted to see how it compared to Copilot as an offline map for travel to UK. I don’t think I really used it much, but then it popped up on CarPlay. The CarPlay map display is ok, but the real problem is that the search engine is completely worthless. You cannot find where you are never mind finding where you want to go, unless you know the exact address. I am currently staying in a hotel which is displayed on the map, but typing the name of the hotel returns nothing. I tried it for lots of places on the map and got the same result. I can give Siri incredibly vague requests and always seem to get a good answer.
Not stable
by Lingo1991 on 2018/06/20 23:30
I just bought this and the maps are very cool as well as the interface, but the system does not work properly. I have used this once, and tried using after but for some unknown reason, it shuts the app off on my iPhone 6S. I don’t know if the problem is my iPhone itself, but I really don’t think so. It also causes my phone to overheat, and probably that’s why the app crashes. I was in the middle of the road when it shut down for first time which is very frustrating especially when you’re paying for something, you expect more reliability. (in my case) I don’t know what the solution is, but if there isn’t an update that fixes this, id kindly ask for a refund because so far I’m not seeing my money’s worth.
Good but has a bug
by Thorax 1a on 2018/01/02 03:50
I’ve used this app in Italy and the USA and overall it has been quite helpful. However, I have seen a persistent bug where the app stops providing audio cues. It stops talking for no reason at all, right in the middle of trips. This is very bad because it’s dangerous to have to look at the phone carefully while driving. Without the audio the app is not nearly as useful. I have a standard iPhone 7 and I can’t seem to fix this problem. I hope the company will respond and address it, or suggest something I should be doing.
Wrong update
by YavorAtanasov on 2019/11/13 15:29
I have paid for North America lifetime, world lifetime and several add-ons and with last update (18.4) the app simply crashes at start. Submitted help request and get automated answer that you guys are aware on some crashes and work on it. There’s no some crashes - the app refuses to start at all. Period. That’s the first time I ever see on iOS app to crashes and reinstall on the app itself or rebooting the phone doesn’t help at all. This is ridiculous. Did you ever tried this update before submit it? One more thing - before submitting the problem on your website there’s promise from you that you’ll contact me up to 48 hours. After submission the message was stated 3 to 5 days. Great job guys. I’ll contact Apple to see can I by any chance get refund for all licenses that I foolishly spent on that app.
Good but dashcam needs work.
by Packetrider on 2018/05/07 16:07
This is probably the best set of offline map tools I’ve seen for mobile. I know the dash cam is a secondary gimmick component to the maps app but to really be able to market it as a dashcam replacement please add a mini-map or split screen map/video recording option. The saved video file needs to include more than just the gps location, it needs to show your car moving on the map as you drive along with the camera video. As a dev myself I know this would be fairly easy to do just by copying your map canvas and overlaying it on the video frames before writing.
Paying for Premium Features is ridiculous when you can get them for free with another app.
by LeoNidas_82 on 2019/01/15 19:56
After doing a little research, I found this app to be the most downloaded GPS navigation app in the world with free features, so I downloaded the app to give it a try. When it comes to navigation apps I’m very particular. After testing (Sygic) GPS Navigation I found a couple things I didn’t like, this app is hard to navigate while driving, not user friendly at all. Plus the features that are free are very basic, features such as navigation, speed limit warnings, real-time traffic info, dynamic lane assistance, and junction view, you have to purchase the premium package is order to use them. I found another app I will be using that will include all these features, FOR FREE!
Disappointed
by i give up, back to Waze on 2019/09/18 02:49
Several issues: • I paid for the dashcam option but it’s never worked right... It’s supposed to retain the last 10 minutes of video but anytime I complete a trip, stop the car and then switch over to save the video it only saves the last couple of seconds, between the time I press the dash cam icon and hit the save button • I like the feature that overlays your route over the live video but using the dashcam disables that feature • if I look up an address, for example 1234 Main St., it finds it, but if I save the location it more often than not does not put the number I searched for in, it seems to find the address that it feels is closest to the GPS location so the address may actually be saved as 1236 Main St. or similar, so the addresses I have saved for home and work, although they will successfully get me to the proper location, show the wrong address. • fails to find many local businesses, even if they are in my address book • the default view when navigating is too zoomed out, no way to save a preference of a closer view or have it zoom in automatically when nearing a turn
Needs improvement to compete with others
by maranello italia on 2019/08/16 11:57
The search need improvement!! The new search updates provide restaurant and other places but very few near my location, most results are 100 or more miles away! User has no ability to search location(s) or at least those places near me. Also, the search is only using address if I have the name of the place I’m looking for (ie McDonald’s or Macy’s) it is of no use. UI needs improvement too. Zoom doesn’t provide street detail good enough ( ie street names or places don’t appear as you zoom. In general the app seems slow and sometimes inaccurate providing directions even when connection to internet is strong and not an issue.
A Waste of Money
by Eraw on 2019/09/13 16:11
Don’t waste your money. I’ve spent about $40 US to purchase features, map upgrades, Apple Car Play compatibly, etc. These features are free on other nav apps. Sygic’s routes are always 10 to 15 minutes longer than Waze’s. The computer voice sounds stilted, artificial. Waze, Google Maps and Apple Maps have pleasant, realistic voices. Sygic responds more slowly to changes, for example, if I make a wrong turn. I try using Sygic occasionally. It always disappoints. The one good feature, in my opinion, is the downloadable maps. That feature gives you the ability to navigate with no internet connection. Waze is my fave.
Best app
by jobie72 on 2019/01/31 00:33
I was recently diagnosed with cancer so I have to travel to Boston a lot now. and im from Far north ofMaine so there Thousands and more Street in Boston so we tried a bunch of GPS and each of them failed on something or another so we figured we try this app out and it’s awesome it doesn’t fail you can download each state map so you don’t need Wi-fi or cell service so if you need to go under tunnels it’s still there and that means everything when you’re in 6 lane of traffic so thank you would recommend it to everyone thank you
Route planning is very frustrating!
by Mick847 on 2018/11/20 23:48
I really wanted to like this app for a lot of reasons - it has features that really sounded useful, and the downloadable maps would be good for when I sometimes spend an hour or so driving through areas with no cell coverage. But I put in start and endpoints for a 2000 mile trip I do several times per year, and it gives me several alternative routes. So far, so good. The. I try to zoom in to see where the routes go. Bad news! Even for areas where I’ve downloaded the maps, you can zoom in to see which highways will be used, or even what cities the route goes through! You can go and look at turn-by-turn directions, but that’s mind-numbing for a 2000 mile trip, and it can still be difficult to get context. Turning right on Main Street, for instance doesn’t toll you what TOWN that turn happens in! I may try it out for some simple short trips, but at the moment it seems like it’s been a waste of both time and money... If I can’t work it a route beforehand, it’s obviously not going to be helpful if I have to make changes while I’m in-route... I’m very disappointed!
Why does it tell me to go straight?
by AndrewMcDonald on 2019/06/14 21:59
I paid for this app for an upcoming trip. I prefer to have onboard navigation data in a GPS app since I often drive through no-data areas. I was testing this app last week and it is doing something truly annoying. As I was driving up a main thoroughfare (Metcalf Ave in Overland Park, KS) to kept telling me to go straight at each intersection. As this was a long series of traffic lights, spaced pretty close together, it got really irritating, really fast. Other than the fact that I don’t need to be told when not to turn at every stop light, the software is OK. I wish the up-sells were a little less in your face.
It has problem running for iPhone5S under IOS 11.0.3
by WenwenShu on 2017/10/31 04:57
It always crashed just after I opened it. Sometimes crashed after I chose a destination and tried to get directions. It was good while it was working, it gives forecasts, visual, vocal directions. When it crashes several times when you trying to get directions, it frustrates. It didn’t happen before IOS upgraded to 11.0.1. It also doesn’t have small roads map, like the pathway from main road to my house, or main roads to a point in a community which is actually quite misleading. I paid for the package deal. I feel really disappointed now.
Excellent graphics with lots of information
by CRANKpad on 2018/06/04 12:21
I started using this app on my in-dash Android-based car unit. It was much better than the mapping app that originally cane with it - plus this one has a legal license. There are some difficulties with it though. I live in the Washington DC area and it has issues with finding some locations and is not good with commute lane directions. In addition to this app, I use Google Maps, Waze and the internal Land Rover navigation apps. I recommend it over most other these other mapping apps.
Not working!
by chrisgrey777 on 2018/11/23 20:22
Bought the complete worldwide package but there arent any maps for central america and if they appear, its i lu the name with ni download available. I provided email feedback to developers but no response one week later. Great app if only it had more than 5% of streets showing. Never been able to use it. Im on vacation in El Salvador and the map download is only 4,5mb in size so as you can imagine it shows almost no response when searching for a destination. This is the response i het 1 week later! “The issue you have described is caused by the quality of the map data we have received from our map provider. As soon as we would receive new data for this map, we will implement them in the next update. Thank you. Jaro from Customer Support" So what the developers are saying is this: we agree the maps arent working, we agree we took your money for the app but its not our fault, good day and bye. The fact is the product purchased clearly states worlwide maps and by accepting the purchase they agreed to provide the service. Apple itunes is not even responding to me on this either.
Stop sending me push notifications
by Jdigs88 on 2019/01/31 16:17
I just spent good money on this app so I would have an off line choice for apps. Now the app keeps sending me push notifications to buy useless for features I am not interested in. The app isn’t bad but it’s features are hard to use with notifications turned off. This is the only way to stop the annoying push notification from them bugging you to buy some unnecessary feature. I already bought the world navigation traffic pack and spent good money on it. Why would you pester me like I’m using the software for free. The only way I will give this application more stars is if they I can turn on my notifications and not be marketed to. I only want notifications about navigation.
Much to improve upon
by Bicepz on 2017/09/05 00:00
I recently purchased this app and upgraded to premium + traffic & real view navigation. I also downloaded 5 states maps where I travel frequently. I was very disappointed when I put in 2 addresses of prominent hotels, it could not locate them. I feel technology is at a place today where maps can be updated frequently from many other social platforms. I also felt the iWATCH app was not very robust in functionality. The heads up navigation works very good as I'm rental vehicles frequently for work. I also have a hard time adjusting the voice volume for driver feedback.
Hasn’t failed me yet.
by ...whocare... on 2018/07/01 19:18
Does seem to get confused over medians in some areas. Will tell me to turn right and then make a u-turn as soon as possible when I should just turn left. This is always in a place where there is a median but there is a break so you could turn left with no problem. Aside from that it took me on my family vacation from IL to NYC them up to Niagra Falls and over to Sandusky,Ohio and back home again without a hitch. I drove directly downtown in NYC and stayed at a hotel 3 blocks from Times Square and didn’t give me a single wrong turn!
Generally works great, but has a few flaws
by GZukes on 2019/04/27 19:24
Overall the app works great. Pros: Works with CarPlay Offline Maps Navigation works very well Maps appear to be up to date Easy to use Cons: Listed speed limits are often wrong especially for suburban surface streets near residential areas. Searching for locations by location name needs a lot of improvement. For example, searching for Dunkin’ Donuts in my area results in only listings hundreds of miles away. Searching for Dunkin’ Donuts in other nav apps results in listings within 3.5 to 4 miles. Searching by location names results in listings of places that show the distance from your location, but not the address. Locations may be close, but may not be in a desirable location or you may be looking for a place in a specific location, but can’t tell which location by the listing.

Bad app

pay a lot of money and it is useless the app closes suddenly does not give the directions correctly it is better google maps and it is free

This could have been a great app
by Chassusa on 2020/03/24 20:56

by shockerspaz on 2020/03/16 00:03
So, I paid for the upgraded everything (except for the subscription), to use this as a backup to Waze (for offline driving)... it seems like every time I need to use it, it fails.

Had lots of hope, but...
by Spotted_Horse on 2020/02/23 19:05
######################### Updated Review ######################### Okay, so here’s and update on the navigation product.

Map features are great but support is slow. App crashes too much and loses location to often. Usually at the worst times it seems. POI database, especially in Florida, is lacking a lot sites. The response link the developer sent didn’t help the above issues

“Address Not Found In Maps”
by Waysta$ on 2020/01/25 16:27
Bought the premium to use when I had no signal. Downloaded maps for entire US. Used when I had no signal, and typing in an address did not work because it “couldn’t find the address in my maps.” Defeats the purpose of why I purchased the premium.

Absolutely awesome app.

Hi Thanks for this excellent app. I tried it today for the first time and I think it’s the best. Thanks a lot

Just purchased many of the apps!
