Doesn't allow sorting library by folder.
was great... now non-functioning

The latest update made the app inoperable on my iphone 6. prior to that it was great.

Awesome App
by PrabhcharanGill on 2021/03/17 01:08
I have used it for years and it is flawless. Often updated. Thank You. Q- can you add option to play through SONOS SYSTEM on to my big speakers. Many people have SONOS for music streaming.
What a great app!
by TropicalJeremy on 2021/03/14 22:17
Let’s you play any folder from the cloud (Dropbox, G Drive, etc.) without adding it to a library or anything like that - streaming one file at a time in order - can download for offline or not. Seems simple but so hard to find an app that would do it. And when I had a question, support responded within an hour on a Sunday. Cheers Roman!

by cya3679 on 2021/03/11 18:06
I love love love the app. I used to have a Samsung phone before I switched where my mp3 files that I had on my phone would appear on my YouTube Music App. Doesn’t do that on iPhone, had to find an alternative to listen to my mp3 files. I just wish there was a section where it shows a list of songs I have saved on the app in alphabetical order
Best out there!!!
by tenberg on 2021/03/08 01:02
CloudBeats with OneDrive is the option if you are remotely an audiophile! I spent more money on Flacbox and it didn’t work at all. I couldn’t get it to load all of my songs because it would keep timing out. Decided to buy CloudBeats and couldn’t be happier. I like to shuffle songs and the radio feature on this is killer. Don’t waste your money on any other app that can play FLAC files!!!
Awesome app!
by Mikeyboards on 2021/03/07 23:51
I was really happy to find an app that allows me to access all the music files that reside on my iPad, and play them, shuffle them, sort them, create playlists, etc. I assume that most people want to stream content, instead of taking up space on their device. (And it has tons of options for doing so!) But I have lots of space to work with, and am happy having my collection reside on my iPad and being able to listen Offline. Works well being controlled by wireless earbuds, too. Support from the developer is fabulous; very responsive and helpful. Even though the free version of CloudBeats worked well for me, I was more than happy to purchase the paid version. (Thankful I don’t have to maintain a subscription; just a one time purchase, at a great price, with no ads or in-app purchases to deal with.) I’m still discovering features and choices in CloudBeats that I hadn’t noticed at first. And the only hiccups I had turned out to be due to some improper file types and naming errors in my source folders, which I should have cleaned up beforehand. It turns out the app was behaving exactly as it should. Highly recommended!
Latest version 2.36.0 a piece of crap
by BooFud on 2021/03/07 11:35
Allowing Dropbox access doesn’t work just loops around authorization over and over and goes no where. Customer support just as bad as app!
Been using since 2014. Love it!
by Jason;) on 2021/03/02 21:53
(March 2021) I love CloudBeats and use it daily. I store all my music in google drive and keep it offline in the app. Thank you developers for the continuous updates and bug fixes. Features that would make the app even better: -sort songs by popularity (most played/least played) -equalizer (bass boost, custom presets, save presets to certain songs, etc) -no buffer/delay when I select songs that are already downloaded -ability to customize app’s color scheme
Very good app!
by Ricardo Remis on 2021/02/19 00:10
I downloaded this app as a substitute to Microsoft Grooves. Important downside -in my opinion- is that the app is not capable of automatically sync the new files you upload to the cloud, so you need to scan your cloud again. There is an option to scan only a specific folder but this is not reliable, at least with One Drive.
Better than Google Play
by Darrenishere on 2021/02/12 02:19
Some of us have our own music collections and I loved Google play as I could load all my music in the cloud and stream it on my phone. Well Google killed Google Play and YouTube Music is a joke, so I moved all my music to OneDrive. Now to find a decent player. Cloud Beats is perfect. It streams perfectly. All my music was tagged correctly with ALL THE ALBUM ART. The app also allows select songs or albums to be down loaded for offline play. Simply Perfect. Look no futher
Great App That Solves a Real Problem
by obee 1 on 2021/01/28 17:52
If you hate iTunes because you are tired of being asked to pay for their monthly streaming service, and have more music than you can store on your phone/iPad, this app is perfect! Worked perfectly for me and I have 15,000 songs on my google drive. And I asked a question of the developer and he replied in less than an hour!
Last update broke it
by johnny-2008 on 2021/01/16 18:09
So typical for this app. Every time they fix one thing, they break two others. Latest update, the whole app has frozen. Good job.
Missing chromecast support
by BillyChuby on 2021/01/08 05:09
The app still need some work. The most significant is to be able to select chromecast device or group of devices to broadcast music
Where has this been all my life?!
by choicestriker on 2021/01/04 21:34
CloudBeats is so good it’s solved multiple problems for me at once! I have a large collection of music in .mp3 and .flac format that isn’t available on Spotify or other easily accessible music streaming services. At first I was just looking for a music player to load some of my files onto my phone and organize them. When I discovered CloudBeats, it made me realize how great it would be to load ALL of my collection into Google Drive, where I wouldn’t be limited by my phone’s internal storage size. It’s so great to be able to play things from the cloud and to have access to such a large library, and I’m listening to more variety than ever simply because my music is so easy to get to now. The other thing I love about CloudBeats is how easy it is to connect to Last.fm to record your Scrobbles. I enjoy tracking my listening habits and this app makes it so easy to track it all! The interface is really clean and nice-looking, lets you easily organize your files by artist, album, filename, track number, etc. and see thumbnails of the album art. You can easily create playlists and there’s a handy “like” button to quickly add songs to your recent favorites. Finally, the developer is great about responding to questions and tries to be as helpful as possible. The app is very well supported and there are answers to many technical questions on the website. All in all, I’m extremely pleased with how well everything has worked - the user experience has been wonderful and CloudBeats does things I didn’t even think were possible! One of the most worthwhile app purchases I’ve ever made! Thank you so much for making such a great product!
Best Cloud Based App Available
by Jblaze129 on 2021/01/04 18:32
I’m a longtime owner of CloudBeats and really love this app! The developers continues to make many cool new features and upgrades over the years which is fantastic. I really LOVE the new genre layout upgrade! CloudBeats is by far the best app I’ve ever used for managing all my thousands of MP3 in the cloud.
Too Many sign on’s to my cloud!!!!!!!
by Babali1950 on 2020/12/29 01:35
I’m really tried to keep logging in to my cloud to listen to the music. Will you make monthly and not hourly? Otherwise the App is very good.
Great, but
by Madrudedog on 2020/12/26 21:08
I like this app a lot. I would not hesitate to give ***** except for album art issues. 1- I read the help and searched the web and the way album art is handled is not clearly explained. 2- when I scanned for library content much if the album art did not show until most of album tracks had been opened for play. 3- I added albumart.jpg files for missing covers. The folders on cloud (Onedrive) changed, but Cloudbeats didn’t find it. 4- Tried the folder.jpg option mentioned in Setup options. Cloud folder picks it up, but Cloudbeats (in either switch setting).
Need Dropbox Business Team Folder Support
by NexGen Music on 2020/12/20 11:56
Love this app (have been using it for years), however, it does not have support for Dropbox Team folders since Dropbox Business changed the way this feature and API works a couple of years ago. Have written to the developer twice and offered to pay for this functionality but no response. The API is available to make this happen. As a record label we need this functionality so badly that we are considering developing our own app... We have over 40TB of data and music that is constantly growing and it cannot be kept in a single Dropbox Business team member’s (user) folder - we need to be able to login directly into to the main team folder structure and access files there. Would upgrade review to stars if this functionality was added.
Great app!
by Susan in Broomfield on 2020/12/13 16:40
So happy to be done with ITunes! This is a straightforward app that allows all your music to be in one drive (or other cloud services), the interface is easy, and functionality is everything I needed. The developer was super quick to respond to questions. Recommend!

Finally works again (was Broken)
by Jimmydann on 2020/11/28 08:33
— The app finally works again, and it is playing my music no matter where I am. — The app is still completely broken. Still get track loading error. Still can’t play a single song from my library which had worked fine until several weeks ago when it broke. Developer says a fix will come ASAP, but none of the updates have solved the problem. I paid for this app, so I would appreciate either a fix or my money back. — The latest update has completely broken the app. Every song produces a “track loading error - try again.” Well, if you you try again nothing happens - it won’t play any songs in my library. It’s useless for playing music from my My Cloud Home which is why I paid for it in the first place.
Great App!
by BolligeA1 on 2020/11/10 19:11
Love it!! Would be nice in addition to be able to watch video files as well & allowing to have a startup screen where it shows shortcuts of folders, files,.. Thanks, fantastic App!!
Excellent app to listen to my music
by Vdaytrader on 2020/11/05 00:08
I have started using CloudBeats recently and I love it. I had all my music on Groove and then Google Play, but both of them stopped supporting their players. I didn't really like the idea of moving to youtube music and pay rent to listen to my own music. CloudBeats connected to my onedrive very smoothly and it works great. All my music is organized and metadata is displayed. it streams well with no buffer. Please continue to support it and as I keep adding my music on my onedrive.
Best
by Butttaster on 2020/10/29 09:28
Been a user since 2014. Best sound quality compared to similar apps. I use this to listen to uncompressed .WAV rips of vinyl. Amazing app. Worth way more than the price.
The _Must_Have_ music player
by Steven1970aaa on 2020/10/04 12:05
I use CloudBeats every day during my workout. There is no need for any other app for playing music. Apple's native app (iTunes or whatever it's called) deleted years ago. Hard to imagine life without CloudBeats!
CloudBeats not accessing new files in my google drive
by shubhaaa on 2020/09/24 13:10
Thank u so much for the response through the email. The new files added did not have any file extension in the file name, hence the app was not reading it as you said. Now I can see all the google drive files in cloud beats app. Till September 2020 it was working perfect. But off late, it is not accessing the new files added to google drive. Please fix this issue. I hv deleted app, downloaded, signed off google drive and signed in again. Nothing helps
Super fast implementation of pCloud EU request
by alwaysSunshine-72 on 2020/09/24 03:28
Thanks soooo much... i requested the EU access for pCloud about a week ago... then I saw it has been related just yesterday! I immediately bought the paid version and gave 5 stars, well deserved for this great app. And a personal “Thank You!” to Roman!
It’s a great app! The devs just need to continue updating it
by Keon H. on 2020/09/17 20:54
Continue to take the suggestions from the reviews, devs! Dark Mode was such a great addition. We need more iOS integration though, like Siri commands and a widget! Then it’ll truly be five star!
Great but one issue
by chrisbanner on 2020/09/14 01:43
Nice, reliable player but please add a “play next” option for songs already in the queue. Currently you have to go into the queue and rearrange the order just to get a song to play next - this could be fixed easily and would make a big difference.
No Chromecast support?
by freakwithamachine on 2020/09/11 05:10
It worked before, now I get an error message. Please fix. Thanks.
Well designed solid app
by HonestReviewsbyTT on 2020/09/07 13:15
This works great for streaming from my OneDrive cloud storage. My experience has been reliable and smooth. Worth the money for sure.
It Works, Oddly
by brikwil on 2020/09/02 20:39
Not an especially intuitive interface. Once you connect to a cloud storage service, you have to hammer on the app to talk it into scanning for music. “Downloaded” music is not available once you sign out of a storage service, which sounds fishy to me. Also - please consider that you are allowing this app by proxy to access your entire cloud-based storage for whichever service you sign into (Google Drive, OneDrive, etc.), so I do not recommend using a cloud location where you store confidential data.
Great App - Feels a Bit Outdated
by PhanFromCheesetown on 2020/08/29 03:28
I’ve had the Pro version of this app for the past month and have used it daily since downloading and paying for full use rights. The interface is fairly simple/straightforward and connecting the player to a cloud storage account is seamless. I would suggest a few things that would make this a five start app: 1. Put 15-second, 30-second, and one minute skip options on the player interface - both in app and on the lock screen. I listen to old Howard Stern shoes and the scrubbing to various sections of a shoe isn’t always easy to do, especially whilst driving. 2. Institute additional track editing functionality in the app. I understand that perhaps this is a limitation because the metadata rests with the files in the cloud drive. However, it’s a pain to edit tracks, albums, etc. in “iTunes”, move those edited files into the cloud drive, and then hope the CloudBeats player recognizes the changes made for sorting purposes. This is the initial feedback that has immediately come to mind after using it consistently. It’s a great app but with some polishing, it could get even better.
Good App, please keep up with security
by mPoposki on 2020/08/26 16:51
Great app. Plays all my Cloud drive music. Awesome, thank you. But one BIG thing, please keep up with keeping it secure.

by AngryTALLGuy on 2020/08/26 15:21

Used to be great - NO MORE
by Michshelle on 2020/07/26 11:29
This app used to be wonderful. I was able to tie it to my OneDrive music folder and have all my music albums at hand all the time. I have the PAID app so I am even more disappointed that it has turned to crap. Every time I try to get music it says “Track Loading Error.” I was advised by the developers to sign out of OneDrive and sign back in which I did. This fixed the problem temporarily AND I had to reload all my music in my library. Not cool! Please fix this app!!!
Great but...
by Can't monitor on 2020/07/18 22:31
Seems that the scrub (fast forward) function doesn’t work. It just starts the song over.

Great App!
by scrowl57 on 2020/07/09 01:01
I very pleased with this player!
Needs work
by junkbmw on 2020/07/05 17:31
Somebody with funds to invest would make this a better app. Needs engineering work to make downloads from cloud platforms like Google Drive much faster and help with buffering. Often it buffers when temporarily disconnected from cell phone links. If you are using on a fixed location basis it will perform well.
If you want to stream your own mp3s
by jeremyhatch on 2020/06/23 23:58
This is a really fantastic app. I have it signed in to my Dropbox, where I keep my music, and OneDrive, where I keep my audiobooks. I use the major streaming services like anyone else but in general prefer to own my music, so this app has been a real gift. Just a couple bugs here and there related to the on-the-fly playlist continuity (playback sometimes stops for no evident reason), but this is nothing too big and it mostly works super well for the purpose. Thanks so much to the developer for making my entire gigantic MP3 collection as accessible to me as the streaming services!
Good replacement for Groove
by Rcmoore76137 on 2020/06/21 16:58
This app has been great since Microsoft retired Grooves. One major gripe is having to always rescan when adding new albums. Too bad there’s no Apple Watch app as well. Keep up the good work.
Seamless Music
by danpat03 on 2020/06/16 23:19
CloudBeats deserves its praise since with it I can seamlessly play all of my mysic (e.g. my entire iTunes’ library) uploaded to my drive. It easily allows me to make playlists and its interface is far easier to use than iTunes in my opinion.
Buttons on Car play
by AndyMoro on 2020/06/16 12:26
I Like this app, would be great if It could have additional buttons on the car play screen for bkw and fwd 10 seconds or 30 seconds.
The only app of its kind that really works
by l8rsk8rzz on 2020/06/15 02:30
Ive tried a bunch of similar apps and Cloudbeats has the best feature set and works the most consistently of all of them. The developer is also very responsive and replies to customer service questions personally. Get the premium version—it’s worth it!
Don’t Hesitate
by Awol West on 2020/06/10 02:40
If you still download music like I do: - One time fee if $6.99 - No monthly fee like other services - No deleted songs like on YouTube playlists - Share with other iPhone users (add to family sharing, max 6) - Setup cloud account (if you don’t already have one) - With cloud account you can share specific folders for others to contribute music to - Stream or download to phone (road trips or areas with spotty connection) Tried other services with monthly fees, as well as one-time fees. Extremely happy! Haven’t had any issues in the month Th at I've had it so far.
Latest update issue
by Team Bananas 8 on 2020/06/08 04:33
Hi, love this app and I’m still leaving 5 stars , but it seems the latest update is having issues for me. The songs just stops from time to time, and I need to press play again even if my whole playlist is supposed to be on loop. Hope it will be fixed soon, kind regards.

The Best Cloud-Based Music Player
by bradleyjs2 on 2020/05/05 04:53
I’ve been using this app for 5+ years or so, and I believe it’s the best cloud-based music player that I’ve ever heard; which is also easy to program via its friendly User Interface (UI). The software is constantly maintained on a regular basis which helps to keep in-pace with the newer technologies. I personally use several cloud storage systems (MS OneDrive, DropBox, Google Drive etc ...) And it’s a seamless connection with no lagging (of course, it all depends on your connection’s bandwith). Also, the footprint of the app’s occupancy’s space is very minimal. I highly recommend this app to all users who have a cloud-based storage system(s).
Does its job
by Errow Gunt on 2020/04/30 14:59
This does exactly what I need it to do, and simply plays my music files. I’m sure there are some obnoxious music tech dorks that will nit pick, but if you need to just access your cloud files and ride the fu¢¢ out, this is your app. Spend the money cheap ass.
Love It!
by wyldbrnch on 2020/04/28 10:37
I’ve tried a lot of apps that allow you to stream your music from online storage sites. Cloud Beats is by far the best one available. Easy to use and works flawlessly.

Great app w/ very minor flaws
by dontknockmysmock on 2020/04/28 00:28
This app is excellent, and finally has made me able to stop using the awful native Apple players. Works seamlessly with Dropbox, and the slowdown/speedup function in the player is a super handy bonus when I’m working in music transcription / arrangement out of my studio. One complaint is that the scroll bar is so close to the right side of the screen that my thumb can barely ever catch it.

Best I’ve Found to Play from NAS
by freeAgent85 on 2020/04/27 22:24
I use this app to stream music from my Synology NAS using WebDAV and it works pretty well (better than other apps I’ve tried). Pros: List scrolling and caching is good and snappy. It actually works (I’ve tried some apps that don’t work or seem to choke). The interface is not a disaster (again, comparing to the competition here). Issues: The initial sync is incredibly slow and Chromecast does NOT work on WebDAV connections. I also wish the album list could be shown as a list or smaller icons rather than the massive icons that are currently there and make it difficult to scroll through and quickly find something.
Love this app. I use it daily!
by jsk147 on 2020/04/26 22:07
Cloudbeats is the best app for playing FLAC files from my Google Drive. I literally use the app everyday. A few things I’d like to see cleaned up: Sometimes tracks cutoff before the track is over and the next track will start prematurely. Also, sometimes when playing longer tracks, the next track will get stuck when starting or start with static. Minor things. I’ll test with this latest update! Also, track times sometimes don’t display when playing. Again, even with these things it’s a 5star app all the way.

Plays audio well but doesn’t support 24/96, etc
by R. Daneel Olivaw on 2020/04/17 14:17
I discovered this when I connected my iPhone to an Audioquest Dragonfly Red. I only got a green light (indicating 24/44) even when playing 24/192 flacs. I confirmed with the developer that it has this limit If this gets fixed, I’d def say this is a 4 or 4.5* app. I haven’t found any high res players that stream from OneDrive //April 17 2020// Man I was so pleased to find out that my 24/96 FLAC’s are streaming at full quality from my OneDrive!! Getting that nice purple light on my DragonFly I emailed the developer to see what the max rate they support. I.e. 24/192

Still track loading error
by IKNYC on 2020/03/12 06:15
(Update) Eventually the issue of flac streaming from google drive is solved. Thank you so much developer for your effort to solve the issue. Still getting track loading error for flac files in google drive even with ver. 2.27.7. No problem with mp3 files. Are you still working on it or is it supposed to be working fine?
What happened? I bought on Tuesday worked great!
by TJTENNISPRO on 2020/03/06 15:58
Third edit- metadata issue was an issue I created on occasion and has been fixed. Either embed artwork or use a folder.jpg Edit so app is working great again but sometimes the metadata isn’t the the same as what’s on my NAS or G Drive. Even when I include a folder.jpg. Any thoughts on why this happens? Now 5 day’s later and I can’t play music from Google Drive. If I get a response I’ll wait it out otherwise I’ll ask for a refund.

Perfect

A good, well designed, very easy to use app. The layout is simple and is absolutely perfect, I love it. Highly recommend!!! Only it could be made even more perfect is to make the play speed adjustable in increments of 1% instead of the current 5%. It would be very nice if there was a count that showed how many times each track was listened to
Won't Start

Since the update a few days ago I have been unable to use this app. Just like others have experienced. I hope this gets fixed soon! UPDATE 2/9/2020: Fixed! Good to know the developers are on top of the issues. It was a long 3 days but I survived! Thanks guys keep up the good work!!
Great when it works
by walkie1984 on 2020/02/10 00:38
Have had this app for a few years now, and it provides basically exactly what I want for an app like this: a simple interface to selectively download albums from my Dropbox to play offline on my phone. Unfortunately, the app is just plain buggy. Several times now I've downloaded a new album only to have all the albums I already had downloaded for offline play deleted. I've had albums only partially download despite the app saying they're ready for offline play, so I can't actually listen to them offline. Updates occasionally wipe my downloaded albums. Other minor but annoying little bugs are frequent. It's frustrating because the basic functionality of the app is just what I want. But it's just too buggy to rely on, so I often end up manually managing music through my computer anyway, which defeats the point.
Loading Errors
by 3846282947 on 2020/02/09 00:01
Occasionally experienced track loading errors, but otherwise things ran smoothly for the first few months. Now, though, tracks don’t load at all over Google Drive and the guide on the FAQ’s to fix it is mumbo-jumbo to anyone without a computer science degree.
Stopped working with Google Drive
by BobJ969 on 2020/02/08 15:00
A great app that I loved until it stopped working on both my iPad and iPhone. I keep my music collection on Google Drive, and this app worked wonderfully until a few days ago. Now when I try to play a track, I get a “track loading error” message. I think this problem coincided with their latest update. 5 stars when working.
Nice user Interface, lots of bugs
by o_vh on 2020/02/07 23:34
I have been using this app for more than 4 months. It probably has the best graphics among similar apps. But there are lots of bugs I have noticed so far. Some of them are fixed, but some still remain.
Great when it works!

As a recording music artist of many, many years I have always made draft mixes of my songs to test the mix. I was so excited about this app when I first started using it! I could put it on my phone and take it with me wherever we went. However this glitch has happened now 3 times! I would move the files from my Dropbox to this app. The file plays fine from Dropbox but from the app it plays at half speed! Last night I tried again deleting files and reloaded them, same results! I’m sorry but this is unacceptable!
AirPods not working
by weaver0 on 2020/01/23 04:42
I’ve been a CloudBeats user for years… And generally the app is great. But with the latest release (and possibly earlier) I have noticed that I cannot get any music through my AirPods. AirPods work fine with Pandora, YouTube, iTunes music… But will refuse to work with CloudBeats. Other Bluetooth devices I own seem to work OK with CloudBeats. If I attempt to play music using CloudBeats with my AirPods connected, the music continues to play but no sound comes out Dash volume is all the way up. Furthermore, if I switch to another app while cloud beats is playing – say Pandora – Pandora gives a strange error that music was paused. I have no other issues with the AirPods with any other app.

Great little could music app
by Njguy5280 on 2020/01/05 19:09
An ideal app for those who have lots of music in the cloud and unlimited data plans, but limited device storage. The only caveat is that it doesn’t seem to be fully compatible with CarPlay, making it hard to start and resume play sometimes.

Works really well!

Though I listen to Apple Music, I like the control of being able to manually manage portions of my library, and CloudBeats allows me to do that very easily. Thanks!
Totally basic and seems to crash, worth $.99, not $7
by benleal on 2019/11/11 16:31
I bought this based on all of the positive reviews and needing a solution to play music hosted in my OneDrive folder. The interface is simple which is a positive, nothing tricky to figure out. But this is not simple in the way of giving power in an easy to navigate interface; it’s just basic. You can browse for artist, album or song. No genre, no bpm, nothing else. It has a radio function that basically just lets you “turn it on”; no ability to “change station” or select a style by choosing a starting song. I’m okay with totally random and 90% of time, that’s how listen ; “ shuffle all”. But I’d like some ability to tailor. But there is a problem with the app randomly shutting down after a couple of songs. Aside from the random crash, I would be delighted to pay $.99 for the access it gives; but for $6.99, I expect way more.
Perfect for me.
by D-Roth on 2019/11/04 18:39
I use this app all the time... I constantly need to learn new music, and it has a tight little section of tools that seem to be made for me: Jump back or forward 10 seconds; Jump back or forward 30 seconds; Save a spot to jump to in the song; Speed up or slow down the track. For musicians this is a no brainer!
Not for hi-res files
by ............jb..... on 2019/10/21 23:33
I was looking to replace VOX as my app to play flac files. THIS APP IS NOT IT. I connected Google Drive and pCloud but could not play flac files or download them. The developer was responsive at first and then gave up. Don’t waste your money; this app is not worth it.
For the music lover
by johnborges.fl on 2019/10/16 01:34
I have been collecting and curating my music collection (primarily classical) for over 50 years. I wanted something that would respect that and let me organize the way I want. This app provides easy access to my entire collection in one place. I have a 100 gig library of mp3 files on my phone and it takes less than 500 mb of local storage. I have tried this with both onedrive and google drive and it is hard to tell that the files are being streamed , even over 4g
The best.

Best music app for the WD Cloud Drive
by El_guapo_gato_54 on 2019/10/06 14:45
Hands down the best music app for the WD Cloud Drive, not w/out its issues, however. It can slow down, you have to do multiple restarts, logout login but overall I don’t think you’ll find a better player for what it does
How do you delete music?
by Cartman005 on 2019/10/04 18:40
This is a great app. I use it to download and play music from my Dropbox. My one criticism would be that it is not clear to me how to delete music from the app once it is downloaded. There is a Remove from Offline option and a Remove from Library option but neither seem to free up the space consumed by the app, so I end up deleting and re-installing the app.
Great!
by Roland Munsil on 2019/10/03 19:26
A year or two ago this app was really buggy and slow (enough that I basically never used it) but they’ve managed to fix most of the issues and at this point it works pretty well with bugs or hangs only showing up occasionally. There are still definitely some small improvements that could be made but for the most part it’s easy to use and handles my massive music collection and large playlists very smoothly!

App stands test of time
by LAX20531 on 2018/07/14 20:24
CloudBeats has greatly expanded in both functionality and scope since its early days when it only supported OneDrive (then known as SkyDrive). The developer (Roman, IIRC) soon added the other well-known Cloud repositories to the app, along with variable speed playback and other features needed for audiobook/podcast playback, among others. All without requesting an extra cent through IAPs or new versions, as seems common with developers now. That being said, the maturity of iPhone and the saturated market make lifetime app licenses seem like a shortsighted idea that have likely contributed to the cesspool of abandonware. I’d much rather pay a patronage than have the developer discontinue an app because it ceased to be personally or economically viable. With that out of the way, I have one enhancement suggestion and I’m not sure if it’s viable. There’s an option for local cloud but can this be used or repurposed to use an SMB login to a local router and link to a folder of attached storage or its media server?
Fantastic for Music!
by Trev_is_the_Best on 2017/09/14 15:43
I couldn't be happier with this app. I have a giant library of MP3s that were such a pain to import into my music library and sync with iTunes every time I wanted to add or remove any, and this app elegantly replaces that entire process. Now you sign into a Google Drive account after installing the app, then just throw the MP3s into Drive and tell Cloud Beats which folder they're in, and BOOM! All your music is now immediately available. Data usage can be an issue if you're not on a wireless network, but you can prepare some tracks to be available offline if you know when you're going to be out and about. Coupled with the option to only play offline tracks, this makes it much easier to avoid excessive data usage. The reviews asking for the ability to skip around within a track to make podcasts more accessible are pretty valid though. From what I can tell, the only way to do that is to have the phone unlocked and the app open, which is probably not how you'll be listening to a podcast. Overall, I could not recommend this app highly enough. If you want more options for listening to a personal music library that isn't stored on iTunes, you can't do much better than Cloud Beats.

I paid for this program and have my songs on my phone via Dropbox. Now your app isn’t starting at all it is forcing me into the “box” sign in and I cannot escape it and go back to the main screen... X or cancel doesn't work and I’m pi**ed.. whatever plug in the “box”is I only use dropbox so what kind of error is that please fix it I am very disappointed I will have to probably delete and lose my music. Not cool I paid.. Update: you guys are evil and mean, you guys created a bug so I would have to sign up for a “box” account that stays stuck on the “box” sign in ... your screen will freeze if you accidentally click to setup the “BOX” cloud service, and you will have to sign up for a box account or it will claim there is an error and you cannot access any of the app!!! sneaking rotten!!! I paid money and don’t deserve that even though its free to sign up.. your obviously both in cahoots for money over my hour of frustration. Rotten rotten rotten other than that the app was 5 stars until your obviously ruining functionality now
Top Shelf Music Streaming! Totally love it.
by sharkthang.com on 2019/06/27 04:57
I’ve been using CloudBeats for almost 2 years now and I totally love it. I have a ton of music I’ve converted from my vinyl and CDs over the past decade and I have it stored on Dropbox. This amazing app enables me to create custom mixes that stream my collection beautifully. I had weird issue a while back with songs playing at half speed on an older iPad. After an email to the good folks at CloudBeats they not only had the solution for me with a quick reply, the solution they offered brought to my attention a feature which enables you to alter the speed of a song. Which is great if you’re trying to learn a guitar solo, understand some unintelligible lyrics or simply speed up an audio book. I only wish it had a cross-fade feature so when I play a mix of songs they would seamlessly and subtly fade in and out of other. Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if it already exists - all I know is that CloudBeats does the one thing I need/want it to do - stream my collection from Dropbox. Just download it already! You can thank me and CloudBeats later. Rock on! HMK
Finally works again (was Broken)

Nice interface, needs to run smoother
by ipadfilmz on 2019/02/02 19:53
Solid music playing app. Works best if you use a music tagging program to tag your files with metadata (title, artist, cover art, etc) for this app to use to sort your music into genre’s, by artist, whatever. Had trouble with the app being able to synch all files on a google Drive, better function on Dropbox. Main problem: takes way too long to cue up a track. If you play an album start to finish its fine, but if you want to bounce around and play random songs, the app takes 20-30 seconds to cue up each track. Very choppy. If the app were updated to play tracks quickly it would be much better. Need to be able to pick a track, tap “play” and have the track play instantly. Not happening here.
Solves a glaring problem, could be better
by lbdsgn on 2017/09/12 04:40
It needs skip-back and skip-forward buttons. I do love this app, using it mostly for long-form recordings like lectures. That's why it needs jump-back and jump-forward controls, like all the podcast players have. It may not be an issu for music, but try to roll back 30 sec in a 2-hour lecture file, while out jogging, and you'll quickly see the utility of this hoped-for feature addition. I love that it eliminates the need to use horrible iTunes to get audio files into your phone, but the playback features could use some love.
Couldn’t do without it
by iggy1345 on 2018/04/28 11:02
I use this app all the time. As a composer/producer I need to be able to listen to lots of my and my clients’ music all the time. CloudBeats is perfect for me. I can make playlists, go into any of my DropBox folders and just sit back and listen to any collection I like at any time. I used the free version for a while, but had to upgrade when I wanted to listen to some larger collections of more than 20 tracks. If I had one request, is that you make a version for Apple TV. Anyway, my subject line says it all. Thanks for making this app!
Gapless Playback Issues
by R_B_99 on 2018/09/28 03:01
I went ahead and bought this app because I got tired of what Apple Music does to my music (replacing my mixes with their mixes.) What I liked about this app is the ability to have gapless playback, which is hard to find...but, the gapless on this app has issues. When I play some of my gapless albums, the gap is still there (even though they play gapless on my iPod) - and other gapless albums will play gapless, but they cut off the prior song about a millisecond too soon - so it kind of ‘skips’ into the next song, rather than a smooth gapless transition. If these issues can be fixed, I will give this a 5 star - but as it is, I don’t think it was worth the $4.99.
Wow! Great app!

I was looking for an app to use to play an offline playlist of songs from independent artisti for a work function. I tried several apps but they were either too clunky, had very annoying ads or wouldn’t allow me to use local files that weren’t already in iTunes. Cloudbeats works perfectly. Uploading the files to Dropbox or OneDrive was easy. I had a question and their tech support got back to me with an answer (including screen shots) very quickly. I highly recommend Cloudbeats!
Best cloud music app
by rikki_boy on 2018/05/22 13:16
The organization of your music is pretty straight forward. It’s best if you already have your music sorted beforehand such as all the meta info like Artist Name, Song Name, Album Artwork, etc. since you cannot edit through the app (sorting it through the iTunes desktop app helps with doing so). Drawing from most cloud storage sites, you can just stream all music directly to your device plus the option of downloading to your phone. Great app nonetheless!
love it, but it does need work
by jkr90000 on 2018/11/24 19:30
I rely on CloudBeats to listen to whatever part of my large music collection I feel like whenever I want wherever I am (with WiFi). On the other hand, I'm being asked to rate it again because I've had to reinstall it again. Eventually it seems its database gets corrupted, and it starts crashing mid-song. Everything has its frailties, but with >> 10,000 tracks to index, recovery takes a very long time (days). A database repair utility would be welcome. and it would be nice if you didn't have to play games with it to keep the rebuild going.
It used to meet my needs but no longer
by Kmthunder on 2018/02/02 04:28
I liked it until it deleted all my downloads when I went offline. I contacted support and they asked why I would be offline? I replied that when my internet is down I’m offline. But I often do not sync to Google. So the app is useless to me now. In fact if I do not have my link to google open I can’t access the app. Apparently others just want a link to the cloud. However, not all of us are linked to the cloud. So now I have my audio downloaded to a simple app called “Voice Recorder”. It is basic, but does the job and I have my recordings available offline.
Has 1 bug I’ve found
by Jfffjcj hygs on 2018/10/21 02:30
I have the paid version, I’ve had it for a few days, I attempt to use it for many hours daily, and much of the time there is no issue, but the bug below cannot be ignored. Sometimes a particular track will not play or download from the cloud, an attempt will be made to play, it will fail and then it skips to the next song, the next song will play. Sometime in the future, possibly a day later the track will be playable. (I use google drive & had WiFi connection the whole time). I will be happy to amend my review when I don’t see this bug again.
It works, but it’s got a few issues.
by rossslushie on 2018/12/06 22:09
I’ve been using this app for a couple years now, and on one hand it’s great! I can have soundtracks I bought on bandcamp and stuff in the same place as my iTunes music! But, more recently it’s been having issues where it will start skipping over songs for no reason, and within the last few days, every time I try to add music to a playlist, when i reload the app all the music I had added to that playlist suddenly vanishes. Other than this it functions great, I’d just love to know if these are issues with my phone or with the app itself.
Simply the best
by pholly on 2019/02/17 16:45
This is without a doubt the best music player on the App Store if you’re looking for a way to access music files on your cloud storage. I’ve tried at least 5 other apps that tried to do the same thing and they all had a horrible flaw. The only thing this app is missing is an equalizer but it does everything it needs to do wonderfully well and also has a great user interface and layout.
Love the app
by Stock17 on 2018/05/01 20:21
Really a spectacular app. Works perfectly and allows me to consolidate my entire collection in one easy to navigate location. I've emailed them in the past about this and hope they're listening now to provide a desktop application that can stream all the files. Would make my work day that much better. Don't see a downside to adding that ability. Until then, keep it up.
By far my favorite APP... Ever!

I use this everyday and when I am on wifi there is no concern with data usage. Data usage is minimal outside of wifi for a half hour here at the gym, or hour there on the bus but definitely keep track of usage. Stylish and easy to use, with cover art for albums displayed in app and on lock screen. My only minor complaint is that it isn't compatible with older .wmv music files.
Excellent...but needs a few tweaks
by The Savage Coconut on 2018/04/26 18:55
Bought this because Apple Music kept matching my remastered albums with crappy original versions. Now I can finally listen to these albums when I travel! Wish there was a way to bypass everything up to the music...too many folders. Also on the player i would rather have song and album name to be bigger instead of being tiny up at the top. Changing the skin would be nice too. Other than that...$4.99 well spent.
Great!
by Roland Munsil on 2019/10/03 19:26
A year or two ago this app was really buggy and slow (enough that I basically never used it) but they’ve managed to fix most of the issues and at this point it works pretty well with bugs or hangs only showing up occasionally. There are still definitely some small improvements that could be made but for the most part it’s easy to use and handles my massive music collection and large playlists very smoothly!
Great personal library streaming solution
by Tkchunc on 2017/10/09 14:32
This app functions well with Dropbox integration for me and plays a variety of audio files. It’s not perfect but it’s quite close. I recommend you buy this if you boycott the commercial streaming services and want to use your own library. I have a lot of music archived in my desired locations, and I prefer the DIY solution. This app helps do that best out of any other I’ve tried.
App won’t sync full albums on Drive.
by FreakAboutSims on 2019/07/24 13:07
I really want to like this app, but I always end up getting track errors and it never syncs a full album from my Google Drive leaving me having to play tracks from the Drive app itself. I came from a free version of this app and even that works better than this paid one. I feel kind of jipped for the money. Please fix this very crucial issues!
different cloud drives work differently
by Valiant Eli on 2019/01/31 16:47
This is my music app and I like it but it has taken a lot of work to get it functioning smoothly. + I am generally happy that I’m in control of music now and able to listen to old mp3s. + developer Roman is very responsive - you have to give app access full access to a cloud drive, which is unnerving. I ended up getting a cloud storage service for music alone (onedrive). - tried Google drive first but it loses your metadata somehow which makes your library all messed up when pulled into cloudbeats. - can only save *playlists* on three types of cloud drives which is frustrating because I would have to give access to two different cloud drives (can’t store playlists on onedrive.) - interface is just a little glitchy. - have a big library and it’s taken a lot of massaging my metadata to get my library looking right.
Great little app
by Mattopotomus on 2017/10/05 22:27
Does everything that it says and does it well. I personally love the ability to choose from my cloud libraries and download mp3s to my device at my own choosing. The speed control is great for reading books that narrate slow, and the bookmark feature keeps me from having to find my spot every time. I used to use vlc player, this takes the cake! Thanks.
Best out there!!!
by tenberg on 2021/03/08 01:02
CloudBeats with OneDrive is the option if you are remotely an audiophile! I spent more money on Flacbox and it didn’t work at all. I couldn’t get it to load all of my songs because it would keep timing out. Decided to buy CloudBeats and couldn’t be happier. I like to shuffle songs and the radio feature on this is killer. Don’t waste your money on any other app that can play FLAC files!!!
Perfect for learning a new instrument?
by ps444444444 on 2018/09/04 06:45
I bought this app because I wanted to create playlists of music that I am learning and want to practice with, and that I have stored all over the place. This app does that very easily, ... PLUS you can slow down (or speed up) playback of songs, which is great when you’re learning something new. Luv it!. (Don’t be cheap, buy the pro version.)
Exactly the one
by Kubisuro on 2017/09/09 22:40
I tried various apps that claimed to use cloud services to play music... And they all failed the "can I figure out how to use what I need in 5 minutes" test. This app passed with flying colors. Supports Apple Lossless, and typical lossy m4a files with no gotchas. It even sees my embedded album art from XLD. Offline mode Just Works and the app knows when music are offline without any special fuss. Radio mode is really song shuffle but it is nice in its simplicity. Optionally it'll play offline only which is ideal if using a NAS that's inaccessible off the LAN. The whole app is a model in simplicity, beating Apple at its own game! Bye bye iTunes Match! I really want album shuffle -- something that the iOS Music app has not had in a long time.
Best Cloud Player Ever
by GregaGenesis on 2018/04/11 02:49
This app is awesome—we can now take our entire music library with us anywhere we go without expensive subscription fees or contracts—none at all! And it plays audiobooks! It is easy to navigate and aesthetically pleasing by easily incorporating cover art. I was skeptical at first, but now I am really glad I found this app—it’s one of my favorite and most valuable apps.
Best cloud player
by Tekka787 on 2019/01/04 15:27
Unlike the other cloud best systems that I use where sometimes the songs that I previously had disappeared, that’s not the case with cloud beats. Although it is a simple UI, the concept works. I upload my music to a cloud drive and then I’m able to access it on any iOS device that I own. I really recommend this simple and useful app.
Perfect
by TJ-Hamster of Thunder on 2020/02/11 04:30
A good, well designed, very easy to use app. The layout is simple and is absolutely perfect, I love it. Highly recommend!!! Only it could be made even more perfect is to make the play speed adjustable in increments of 1% instead of the current 5%. It would be very nice if there was a count that showed how many times each track was listened to
What a great app!
by TropicalJeremy on 2021/03/14 22:17
Let’s you play any folder from the cloud (Dropbox, G Drive, etc.) without adding it to a library or anything like that - streaming one file at a time in order - can download for offline or not. Seems simple but so hard to find an app that would do it. And when I had a question, support responded within an hour on a Sunday. Cheers Roman!
Great when it works!
by MagicHour on 2020/02/05 13:20
As a recording music artist of many, many years I have always made draft mixes of my songs to test the mix.
The BEST streaming app ever
by Planet Lizagna on 2019/01/18 21:41
I listen to a lot of non-music MP3s for business and use variable speed for most them. I’ve tried several apps, most of which are fine, but Cloudbeats is the very best. It is intuitive, the variable speed is easily adjustable in small increments, the transmission is very clear. It has too many features to name, but it is super user-friendly. I love it!
Good idea/app not so great functioning
by bradbelan333 on 2018/11/14 04:33
The idea of the app is great, so good that I continue to use it. Even though the execution of the app is mediocre at best it is slow buggy hangs all the time. I sent some communication to the developers with bug reports and never really heard anything back and didn't see a fix. If you're a developer or a support person for the app reading this review please track down bugs look at performance and make it work better so I can up my rating from two stars to five stars thank you!

Great, but
by Madrudedog on 2020/12/26 21:08
I like this app a lot.

Great App!

Well designed solid app

Used to be great - NO MORE
by Michshelle on 2020/07/26 11:29
This app used to be wonderful. I was able to tie it to my OneDrive music folder and have all my music albums at hand all the time. I have the PAID app so I am even more disappointed that it has turned to crap. Every time I try to get music it says “Track Loading Error.” I was advised by the developers to sign out of OneDrive and sign back in which I did. This fixed the problem temporarily AND I had to reload all my music in my library. Not cool! Please fix this app!!!
Great but...

Seems that the scrub (fast forward) function doesn’t work. It just starts the song over.

Needs work
by junkbmw on 2020/07/05 17:31
Somebody with funds to invest would make this a better app.

Great when it works!
by MagicHour on 2020/02/05 13:20
As a recording music artist of many, many years I have always made draft mixes of my songs to test the mix.

What the bleep happened!! Evil and mean
by Wlou2015 on 2018/03/08 07:22
I paid for this program and have my songs on my phone via Dropbox.
Rock on! HMK
Finally works again (was Broken)
by Jimmydann on 2020/11/28 08:33
— The app finally works again, and it is playing my music no matter where I am.

Wow! Great app!
by Appmonsterchick on 2018/09/15 21:43
I was looking for an app to use to play an offline playlist of songs from independent artisti for a work function.
Ever!
by Mystery Mr. E on 2018/07/25 12:55
I use this everyday and when I am on wifi there is no concern with data usage.
Thanks.
I love it!
