Excellent
by Al Zal on 2019/09/17 04:44
This is perhaps the best option as a replacement for iTunes Match. Nice bookmark facility. Works well and largely intuitive. One star ticked off because of the GUI which is a bit outdated. Update Sep’2019 - five stars. Excellent. Best.
Best Cloud Music Player
by Bobo Vex on 2019/09/16 17:20
Frequent updates and very user friendly user interface. Highly recommended.
Perfect!
by iammauxiis on 2019/09/16 11:10
It delivers what it promises! I have no gripes whatsoever. Works perfectly! Definitely the best cloud player. Thanks to the developer for an amazing bridge!
Easy to use
by TJ-Hamster of Thunder on 2019/09/02 10:01
A good, well designed, very easy to use app. The layout is simple and is absolutely perfect, I love it. Highly recommend!!! Only it could be made even more perfect is to make the play speed adjustable in increments of 1% instead of the current 5%. For anyone looking for a very good cloud service/ music player look no further! This is it!!!
Crashes
by Aubidle obsessed on 2019/08/24 11:01
Please fix the crashes!!! If I can’t listen to my music, what is the point of having the app? This app does NOT play FLAC files!
Fixed replay problem
by Ksnazzy on 2019/08/12 17:22
In my first review I posted that replay didn't work. The next day there was an update for Cloud Beats which corrected the problem. Thank you for the quick response!
Good, needs another true love feature
by ezbz978 on 2019/08/07 13:03
Very solid app and utility, wish the app had a setting so it would not download later files over cellular
Not too pretty

Everything works fine, but can we get some skins? Thank you
Continually Crashes
by Mickie-D on 2019/07/29 02:46
This used to be a top notch, reliable music player but has turned into total garbage. Won't play continuesly without crashing.
App won’t sync full albums on Drive.
by FreakAboutSims on 2019/07/24 13:07
I really want to like this app, but I always end up getting track errors and it never syncs a full album from my Google Drive leaving me having to play tracks from the Drive app itself. I came from a free version of this app and even that works better than this paid one. I feel kind of jipped for the money. Please fix this very crucial issues!
Essential for playing music from Amazon Drive
by DJYossarian on 2019/07/21 11:48
I discovered Cloudbeats after finding that the Amazon Drive app would stop playing songs when my iPhone went into Auto-Lock. It's vastly better than the Amazon Drive app. Also the customer service is incredible. The app glitched after I updated the OS on my phone, and Roman showed me how to fix it, like, IMMEDIATELY. I just love it when developers stand behind their products like that. It gives me so much confidence that I've made the right choice.

Plays audio well but doesn’t support 24/96, etc
by R. Daneel Olivaw on 2019/06/28 15:52
I discovered this when I connected my iPhone to an Audioquest Dragonfly Red. I only got a green light (indicating 24/44) even when playing 24/192 flacs. I confirmed with the developer that it has this limit If this gets fixed, I’d def say this is a 4 or 4.5* app. I haven’t found any high res players that stream from OneDrive
Top Shelf Music Streaming! Totally love it.
by sharkthang.com on 2019/06/27 04:57
I’ve been using CloudBeats for almost 2 years now and I totally love it. I have a ton of music I’ve converted from my vinyl and CDs over the past decade and I have it stored on Dropbox. This amazing app enables me to create custom mixes that stream my collection beautifully. I had weird issue a while back with songs playing at half speed on an older iPad. After an email to the good folks at CloudBeats they not only had the solution for me with a quick reply, the solution they offered brought to my attention a feature which enables you to alter the speed of a song. Which is great if you’re trying to learn a guitar solo, understand some unintelligible lyrics or simply speed up an audio book. I only wish it had a cross-fade feature so when I play a mix of songs they would seamlessly and subtly fade in and out of other. Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if it already exists - all I know is that CloudBeats does the one thing I need/want it to do - stream my collection from Dropbox. Just download it already! You can thank me and CloudBeats later. Rock on! HMK
The speed option is really a surprise. Love it!
by Gavin Hu on 2019/06/24 22:26
The speed up/down option is really a plus.
Review
by .....MK on 2019/06/10 13:17
The app works great, can stream my songs from the cloud. Only two issues: -songs don’t always continue playing. Occasionally I have to go hit play again, or shut the app and restart it -my audio books don’t appear in the correct order. My file names don’t go sequentially and there is no option to use the tag/metadata to sort for playback I have a large collection, this is the only app I’ve found that everything shows up in. Most of the others I’ve tried are missing a large portion of my library content after they synchronize.
Not viable for large libraries
by Jkk95 on 2019/06/09 00:10
I have nearly 30 thousand songs in my google drive library, and while it locates then all with ease, it’s trying to process them all right now on my 6s, one by one... it’s going to take a lonnnnggg time. This is a GREAT app if you small library, and the last.fm support is totally great! I bought it for that. But this updating business is really going to eat up a lot of my time, processing power, battery, etc. Consider this app if you have a library closer to like 1,000 songs or less. Otherwise it’s a great app!

Great app but keeps getting closed
by Offbeatmammal on 2019/05/10 13:12
I use this app every day on my iPad (and have the Android version for my phone) but get really annoyed when iOS decides to unload it randomly when not actively playing ... so pressing “play” on my headphones or in control center launches iTunes which has about 3 songs in. I don’t know if this is a CloudBeat issue or an iOS bug (feature?) but it is frustrating. Also, wish it was smart enough to know it didn’t have a connection so fall back to local only in shuffle mode rather than keep trying to read from OneDrive
Needs some polish
by Heyber on 2019/05/09 00:21
The app can recognize the music collection i store in OneDrive for business. The issue is, when i play radio shuffling all my music collection, it stops after playing the first song so i’ve to push play or next song to continue listening to my collection, and sometimes it shows the wrong metadata (i mean, playing a song showing metadata from the previous one). And it repeats the same 10 or 12 artists from almost 200 (provided that there are more than 8000 songs). Also, there is an issue related with cache when on cellular connection (4g in this case), takes too much time to load songs when there is auto play mode enabled. In short, needs a lot of polish in the radio function. The great things: automatic album art, last.fm integration and the offline function.
Stops playing for no reason
by NTXredhead on 2019/05/06 09:39
When in offline/airplane mode it stops playing for no reason. In a effort to troubleshoot I looked at the timer. It seems to be set at 15 minutes by default. I can’t seem to turn it off and when I go to help there’s no information except to say there is a timer mode. You can’t search the web site for anything so this app has turned out to be useless for me. If my music stops playing for no reason I can discover......who needs it? Paid for it, but guess that doesn’t matter.

The Best Cloud-Based Music Player App
by bradleyjs2 on 2019/03/27 09:45
I‘ve been using the CloudBeats Music Player app for well over a year now and it’s just simply the best that I’ve found to meet all of my cloud-based music storage/steaming needs. Its easy and intuitive user interface allows for quick setup and playback. I like creating and listening primarily to playlists and this app plays all of the mixed music seamlessly with no noticeable stuttering or pauses during playback. It works perfectly on both my iPad and iPhone especially when I’m out-and-about and not connected to my high-speed WiFi. With the latest version (2.26.1) which now includes the use of HomePod as an output device, greatly increases its productivity and sound quality. I’ve tried several cloud services (OneDrive, AmazonDrive and iCloud) as storage/playback locations and have never had any issues with connectivity. So, the bottom-line is: the CloudBeats Music Player app is a “must have,” especially when having access to all of the free cloud storage that’s available. Thumbs-Up!
Good App
by Nosirrahm on 2019/03/26 16:53
3/25/19: I use Cloudbeats exclusively for audiobooks. It’s great for all my offline audiobook files. I do have a couple of issues which could be annoying. They are not consistent but they exist. I started to listen to an audiobook that I listened to previously. The first issue that popped up was that it holds previous playing positions for a long time so when I finish one file of the audiobook it will jump to that random position in the next file. I’ll be all confused because the story is not making sense because the story continued from some random spot in the next file (it held the place from when I paused the book a year ago even though I did finish the book it just holds this cached place). Another issue is that sometimes it will jump to a random file in the book or replay the file again. I don’t have any of those options selected - random play or repeat - it just does it when it wants. I’ve cleared the cache thinking it would drop all those old previous “bookmarked” areas. I will think its fixed until it happens randomly two files later. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Previous Review: I enjoy this cloud player to play MP3s from DropBox. I probably use this over any other streaming on my phone. There has been an issue with trying to back up 30sec. It will act like it is going to back up, but then continue where it was before I hit the button. It's annoying because then I have to manually backup (which is always too far back when listening to audiobooks).
All good except cannot select music
by MBarkh on 2019/03/22 01:07
All good except cannot select music files on google drive for download, if have more than 10 files on cloud need to download one by one.
Works great.
by lacorona on 2019/03/18 05:00
I put all of my music into OneDrive to keep it backed up. Now I can easily listen to my music on my phone. I have been able to create playlists to enjoy my music. The app works great.
It Works Pretty Well, Could Use More Improvements
by J_P_ on 2019/03/08 04:46
At the moment it works well, but there are some things that could be improved. 1) Option to auto cache and change cache size when streaming music. Auto cache is perfect if you have spotty network connection...Apple Music, Spotify, and other music apps do this. This should be a standard feature. 2) Font under the song is squished. That should be fixed. 3) UI could be improved.
Great Replacement for Defunct Groove Music
by TheAngryGM on 2019/03/06 13:44
As said, I was looking to replace MS Groove so I could access the music stored in my OneDrive on the go. This works great. It’s stable, pulls music from many different cloud storage services, and is even compatible with my Hyundai’s Apple CarPlay system. Zero complaints.
Great app!

Awesome app, easy to use, great media player!
Good
by Steven1970aaa on 2019/03/03 11:04
Having tried a bunch of different cloud mp3 player apps, this is the only one that can automatically play the next song, even when the app is running in the background or the screen is turned off. Supposed to be able to import Winamp playlists but that feature is not working correctly.
Best music app for the WD Cloud Drive

Hands down the best music app for the WD Cloud Drive. Thank you all
Getting there but needs work
by Sassyray18 on 2019/02/18 17:00
If I select radio mix, it plays one song before freezing. I tried to use carplay and after a few minutes, the app kept crashing every time I opened it and it was plugged in. I unplugged it, waited a couple minutes and plugged it back and it worked. I love the carplay capability, it just needs a few bugs to be squashed.
Simply the best
by pholly on 2019/02/17 16:45
This is without a doubt the best music player on the App Store if you’re looking for a way to access music files on your cloud storage. I’ve tried at least 5 other apps that tried to do the same thing and they all had a horrible flaw. The only thing this app is missing is an equalizer but it does everything it needs to do wonderfully well and also has a great user interface and layout.
Great Cloud App
by Gacleo on 2019/02/07 02:36
Great cloud app for streaming music from Amazon Drive. Good interface & easy to navigate. Since I own a lot of music not available on streaming services, this is perfect. Get the pro version, worth the $$. Well done CloudBeats.
"Radio Station" only plays one song
by Seamlik on 2019/02/03 20:32
Yet I have over 700 in my library. It won't automatically play the next song, pressing "next" does nothing.
Nice interface, needs to run smoother
by ipadfilmz on 2019/02/02 19:53
Solid music playing app. Works best if you use a music tagging program to tag your files with metadata (title, artist, cover art, etc) for this app to use to sort your music into genre’s, by artist, whatever. Had trouble with the app being able to synch all files on a google Drive, better function on Dropbox. Main problem: takes way too long to cue up a track. If you play an album start to finish its fine, but if you want to bounce around and play random songs, the app takes 20-30 seconds to cue up each track. Very choppy. If the app were updated to play tracks quickly it would be much better. Need to be able to pick a track, tap “play” and have the track play instantly. Not happening here.
Stops playing
by stringmun on 2019/01/31 22:09
I have several cloud based music apps that play continuously through the entire playlist. Was gonna use this app for a very special event to play though a list of songs while unattended that I have in a playlist I made using this app. But thankfully I tested it before the event. OMG what egg in my face it would be if the music stopped playing like it does in this app. I’m too scared to trust it after several times it stops for no apparent reason. Not trustworthy at all. Wasted money big time on this app. Geez 😡 DONT BUY! OVER RATED! I’ll even use the term garbage.
different cloud drives work differently
by Valiant Eli on 2019/01/31 16:47
This is my music app and I like it but it has taken a lot of work to get it functioning smoothly. + I am generally happy that I’m in control of music now and able to listen to old mp3s. + developer Roman is very responsive - you have to give app access full access to a cloud drive, which is unnerving. I ended up getting a cloud storage service for music alone (onedrive). - tried Google drive first but it loses your metadata somehow which makes your library all messed up when pulled into cloudbeats. - can only save *playlists* on three types of cloud drives which is frustrating because I would have to give access to two different cloud drives (can’t store playlists on onedrive.) - interface is just a little glitchy. - have a big library and it’s taken a lot of massaging my metadata to get my library looking right.
Badly Needs an update
by Ed Koch 1952 on 2019/01/21 14:16
For the most paper I do like the ease of the app. While it does access files Drop Box, OneDrive, etc., and the WD My Cloud Home it does not access music files on the newer WD Cloud Mirror. So I am forced to piece meal my music storage across multiple free clouds limited in size such as those mentioned at the start of this review.
The BEST streaming app ever
by Planet Lizagna on 2019/01/18 21:41
I listen to a lot of non-music MP3s for business and use variable speed for most them. I’ve tried several apps, most of which are fine, but Cloudbeats is the very best. It is intuitive, the variable speed is easily adjustable in small increments, the transmission is very clear. It has too many features to name, but it is super user-friendly. I love it!
Cloud Beats

I love Cloud Beats
Best cloud player
by Tekka787 on 2019/01/04 15:27
Unlike the other cloud best systems that I use where sometimes the songs that I previously had disappeared, that’s not the case with cloud beats. Although it is a simple UI, the concept works. I upload my music to a cloud drive and then I’m able to access it on any iOS device that I own. I really recommend this simple and useful app.
Groove Music Replacement
by jarrick1992 on 2019/01/04 00:14
I like owning my music, but not storing it on my device. This app let's me continue to do that after Groove Music was discontinued. Love it! No issues! Does exactly what it says, and so worth the 5 bucks!
Buggy
by dannymyboi on 2018/12/29 09:46
Fails to sync larger folders. I have roughly 60 gb of music from my dropbox and the only way i was able to sync was by individually downloading the subfolders. I tried running the synchronization over night, but it got stuck “searching for files”.
Enjoying cloud streaming but Airplay 2 constantly pause playback
by iPhone JP on 2018/12/13 22:57
I really enjoy using Cloudbeats on daily basis for streaming my own music collection over cloud storages such as Dropbox, One Drive, etc. However, when playing music using Airplay 2 on the HomePods (Mono and Stereo with one or two HomePods) the playback will stop after a song or two. The only solution is to prevent the phone from locking itself. I find that very annoying because I have no problem streaming and Air-playing Spotify over HomePods, but have constant disconnect using Cloudbeats. Bluetooth headphones or speakers seems to be working just fine. Developer has acknowledged the issue is related to Airplay 2. I am looking forward for the solution to raise my Stars up.
Best Cloud App
by Butttaster on 2018/12/08 15:02
This app is well curated.
It works, but it’s got a few issues.
by rossslushie on 2018/12/06 22:09
I’ve been using this app for a couple years now, and on one hand it’s great! I can have soundtracks I bought on bandcamp and stuff in the same place as my iTunes music! But, more recently it’s been having issues where it will start skipping over songs for no reason, and within the last few days, every time I try to add music to a playlist, when i reload the app all the music I had added to that playlist suddenly vanishes. Other than this it functions great, I’d just love to know if these are issues with my phone or with the app itself.
Needs Updates

Best app for personal cloud streaming. Scanning is not as robust and frequently misses files.
love it, but it does need work
by jkr90000 on 2018/11/24 19:30
I rely on CloudBeats to listen to whatever part of my large music collection I feel like whenever I want wherever I am (with WiFi). On the other hand, I'm being asked to rate it again because I've had to reinstall it again. Eventually it seems its database gets corrupted, and it starts crashing mid-song. Everything has its frailties, but with >> 10,000 tracks to index, recovery takes a very long time (days). A database repair utility would be welcome. and it would be nice if you didn't have to play games with it to keep the rebuild going.

Good idea/app not so great functioning
by bradbelan333 on 2018/11/14 04:33
The idea of the app is great, so good that I continue to use it. Even though the execution of the app is mediocre at best it is slow buggy hangs all the time. I sent some communication to the developers with bug reports and never really heard anything back and didn't see a fix. If you're a developer or a support person for the app reading this review please track down bugs look at performance and make it work better so I can up my rating from two stars to five stars thank you!

Has 1 bug I’ve found
by Jfffjcj hygs on 2018/10/21 02:30
I have the paid version, I’ve had it for a few days, I attempt to use it for many hours daily, and much of the time there is no issue, but the bug below cannot be ignored. Sometimes a particular track will not play or download from the cloud, an attempt will be made to play, it will fail and then it skips to the next song, the next song will play. Sometime in the future, possibly a day later the track will be playable. (I use google drive & had WiFi connection the whole time). I will be happy to amend my review when I don’t see this bug again.
Updating my review
by tony.o. on 2018/10/20 12:56
Great app so far. Originally it seemed as if last.fm scrobbles weren’t working but after emailing support for the app, they got back to me almost immediately and after trying a few different things, we figured out that the tracks which weren’t scrobbling didn’t have album tags—after updating the tracks, worked flawlessly. Thanks to whoever the app support guy is!
Very good app!
by Ricardo Remis on 2018/10/16 09:29
I downloaded this app as a substitute to Microsoft Grooves. CloudBeats is one of the best apps in the market -I think- if you want to play your music stored in the Cloud (OneDrive in my case). The only important downside -in my opinion- is that the app is not capable of automatically sync the new files you upload to the cloud, so you need to scan your cloud again. There is an option to scan only a specific folder but this is not always helpful (specially if you need to scan a recent created folder). Hopefully an update in the future resolve this.
Bug that needs fixing
by Shiro Kusanagi on 2018/10/13 23:16

Easily the best cloud music app
by PlanningProcess on 2018/10/13 03:30

Gapless Playback Issues
by R_B_99 on 2018/09/28 03:01
I went ahead and bought this app because I got tired of what Apple Music does to my music (replacing my mixes with their mixes.) What I liked about this app is the ability to have gapless playback, which is hard to find...but, the gapless on this app has issues. When I play some of my gapless albums, the gap is still there (even though they play gapless on my iPod) - and other gapless albums will play gapless, but they cut off the prior song about a millisecond too soon - so it kind of ‘skips’ into the next song, rather than a smooth gapless transition. If these issues can be fixed, I will give this a 5 star - but as it is, I don’t think it was worth the $4.99.
Outstanding cloud player
by jeff_athletic on 2018/09/27 19:58
Even though I use streaming services, I still buy music, and I store my mp3s on OneDrive. Once Microsoft dropped Groove Music on iOS and Android, I needed to find a good cloud player to play (stream or download) my OneDrive music. I tried a lot of them, but most of them had shortcomings. But not Cloud Beats. It ticks all the boxes- easy connection to my cloud, great library organization, great playback controls, great integration with phone, beautiful, easy to use UI, and excellent sound quality. I couldn’t be happier with Cloud Beats. In fact, I’m glad MS dropped Groove Music player for iOS, because it forced me to find Cloud Beats, and it’s MUCH better.
Great!

Wow! Great app!
by Appmonsterchick on 2018/09/15 21:43
I was looking for an app to use to play an offline playlist of songs from independent artisti for a work function. I tried several apps but they were either too clunky, had very annoying ads or wouldn’t allow me to use local files that weren’t already in iTunes. Cloudbeats works perfectly. Uploading the files to Dropbox or OneDrive was easy. I had a question and their tech support got back to me with an answer (including screen shots) very quickly. I highly recommend Cloudbeats!
Pretty good
by DenyNoGuest on 2018/09/10 03:13
It’s a great app. It’s missing a few things that would make it the best, though. The ability to edit metadata in-app would be fantastic. The ability to automatically upload from Google Drive without having to play the music first is essential. An equalizer and a volume normalizer would make this app the best. I would pay more for stuff like this.
Crashes constantly
by Roland Munsil on 2018/09/08 18:30
I can usually only get it to play one song before it crashes. Basically completely useless
Perfect for learning a new instrument?
by ps444444444 on 2018/09/04 06:45
I bought this app because I wanted to create playlists of music that I am learning and want to practice with, and that I have stored all over the place. This app does that very easily, ... PLUS you can slow down (or speed up) playback of songs, which is great when you’re learning something new. Luv it!. (Don’t be cheap, buy the pro version.)

Here’s how to make it 5 stars...
by Jason;) on 2018/08/17 03:22
I love CloudBeats and use it daily. I store all my music in google drive and keep it offline in the app. Thank you developers for the continuous updates. There are always a few bugs to fix but I use this app more than any other and love it! Features that would make the app 5 stars: -car mode: make next/previous/shuffle buttons huge so I can easily use the app while driving rather than having to fiddle around with those tiny buttons -sort songs by popularity (most played/least played) -equalizer -no buffering/delay when I select songs that are already downloaded -ability to customize app’s color scheme
Okay but needs improvement
by Rcmoore76137 on 2018/08/14 16:50
Good app, but no way to import playlist from Groove. Although it's stored on one drive I don't want to recreate playlists. There got to be a easier way. Also better cover art support.
Simple is Best

CloudBeats makes it simple to create playlists from Dropbox and other various music file sources. Very useful function made easy. Thank you.
By far my favorite APP... Ever!

I use this everyday and when I am on wifi there is no concern with data usage. Data usage is minimal outside of wifi for a half hour here at the gym, or hour there on the bus but definitely keep track of usage. Stylish and easy to use, with cover art for albums displayed in app and on lock screen. My only minor complaint is that it isn't compatible with older .wmv music files.
Unsafe data practices
by Virtuabhi on 2018/07/22 21:23
Please do not use this application to link with your Dropbox account. This app requires access to ALL files on Dropbox. For many years, Dropbox has been offering external applications to use permissions for specific folder and files. Why is this app not using them? Do NOT use this app unless you want your files to be read by everyone on the internet.
App stands test of time
by LAX20531 on 2018/07/14 20:24
CloudBeats has greatly expanded in both functionality and scope since its early days when it only supported OneDrive (then known as SkyDrive). The developer (Roman, IIRC) soon added the other well-known Cloud repositories to the app, along with variable speed playback and other features needed for audiobook/podcast playback, among others. All without requesting an extra cent through IAPs or new versions, as seems common with developers now. That being said, the maturity of iPhone and the saturated market make lifetime app licenses seem like a shortsighted idea that have likely contributed to the cesspool of abandonware. I’d much rather pay a patronage than have the developer discontinue an app because it ceased to be personally or economically viable. With that out of the way, I have one enhancement suggestion and I’m not sure if it’s viable. There’s an option for local cloud but can this be used or repurposed to use an SMB login to a local router and link to a folder of attached storage or its media server?

Does not maintain audio timeline. Will stop playing in the middle of a chapter and when the app is closed will not always return to last audio location

Just What I Needed!
by MagicHour on 2018/06/29 15:32
As a singer/songwriter for many years I have always used my morning mix as a way to check the latest song I’m working on. Since Apple makes it next to impossible to get a file on your phone, I needed an app that would let me play my mixes off my phone, while allowing me to listen on different speakers. This is so awesome and so easy, I’m very impressed with this app! Thanks guys for helping me sound my best! Don Johns Music.
Need track numbers to show on screen

Nice app and works as well as VOX but it would be better if the track numbers would appear on the list of songs per album. Thanks
Works great!
by mrfnk on 2018/06/17 19:20
I’m very nervous because I purchased a different app before this one and it did not work. I went online, read a bunch of reviews and this is the player I decided to go with. And I’m very glad I did. The other apps rearrange your music, don’t give you an option to keep it the way you already have it.

by Kyou Takizawa on 2018/06/02 02:32
could have definitely been better, i bought the pro hoping it’d be good but it’s frustrating. why? you can’t edit the names of the songs, the navigation is confusing, sometimes i can’t even favorite, ‘email developers’ button isn’t working, and it’s not a must buy it would have been nice to have a lyric option to add yourself. overall i’m disappointed, i got musicloud which was better for me but it deleted songs from it. i hope this reaches you so this app can improve more.
Best cloud music app
by rikki_boy on 2018/05/22 13:16
The organization of your music is pretty straight forward. It’s best if you already have your music sorted beforehand such as all the meta info like Artist Name, Song Name, Album Artwork, etc. since you cannot edit through the app (sorting it through the iTunes desktop app helps with doing so). Drawing from most cloud storage sites, you can just stream all music directly to your device plus the option of downloading to your phone. Great app nonetheless!

Don't see a downside to adding that ability. Until then, keep it up.

I use this app all the time. As a composer/producer I need to be able to listen to lots of my and my clients’ music all the time. CloudBeats is perfect for me. I can make playlists, go into any of my DropBox folders and just sit back and listen to any collection I like at any time. I used the free version for a while, but had to upgrade when I wanted to listen to some larger collections of more than 20 tracks. If I had one request, is that you make a version for Apple TV. Anyway, my subject line says it all. Thanks for making this app!
Excellent...but needs a few tweaks
by The Savage Coconut on 2018/04/26 18:55
Bought this because Apple Music kept matching my remastered albums with crappy original versions. Now I can finally listen to these albums when I travel! Wish there was a way to bypass everything up to the music...too many folders. Also on the player i would rather have song and album name to be bigger instead of being tiny up at the top. Changing the skin would be nice too. Other than that...$4.99 well spent.

by hanstanford on 2018/04/15 17:44
Have been using it for three days. Can manage libraries based on directories in dropbox now. Really cool, fast and stable. GUI is simple and clean. Playlist synchronization is useful. Can write customer script to operate that file, cloudbeats_playlists.cb, but it is better to know its default place is in Dropbox/Music. Took sometime to find it. Bulk downloading and flac support is also great.

I like it
by Gary with MS on 2018/04/11 10:36
I have all my MP3’s on OneDrive and it works flawlessly scanning and retrieving the music. You can download the music to your device for listening offline. About the only problem I have is with gapless playback. It cuts off from 30 seconds to 45 seconds all together at the beginning and end of songs.
Thumbs-Up!

Fantastic for Music!
by Trev_is_the_Best on 2017/09/14 15:43
I couldn't be happier with this app. I have a giant library of MP3s that were such a pain to import into my music library and sync with iTunes every time I wanted to add or remove any, and this app elegantly replaces that entire process. Now you sign into a Google Drive account after installing the app, then just throw the MP3s into Drive and tell Cloud Beats which folder they're in, and BOOM! All your music is now immediately available. Data usage can be an issue if you're not on a wireless network, but you can prepare some tracks to be available offline if you know when you're going to be out and about. Coupled with the option to only play offline tracks, this makes it much easier to avoid excessive data usage. The reviews asking for the ability to skip around within a track to make podcasts more accessible are pretty valid though. From what I can tell, the only way to do that is to have the phone unlocked and the app open, which is probably not how you'll be listening to a podcast. Overall, I could not recommend this app highly enough. If you want more options for listening to a personal music library that isn't stored on iTunes, you can't do much better than Cloud Beats.

I paid for this program and have my songs on my phone via Dropbox. Now your app isn’t starting at all it is forcing me into the “box” sign in and I cannot escape it and go back to the main screen... X or cancel doesn't work and I’m pi**ed.. whatever plug in the “box”is I only use dropbox so what kind of error is that please fix it I am very disappointed I will have to probably delete and lose my music. Not cool I paid.. Update: you guys are evil and mean, you guys created a bug so I would have to sign up for a “box” account that stays stuck on the “box” sign in ... your screen will freeze if you accidentally click to setup the “BOX” cloud service, and you will have to sign up for a box account or it will claim there is an error and you cannot access any of the app!!! sneaking rotten!!! I paid money and don’t deserve that even though its free to sign up.. your obviously both in cahoots for money over my hour of frustration. Rotten rotten rotten other than that the app was 5 stars until your obviously ruining functionality now
Top Shelf Music Streaming!
Rock on! HMK
Solves a glaring problem, could be better
by lbdsgn on 2017/09/12 04:40
It needs skip-back and skip-forward buttons. I do love this app, using it mostly for long-form recordings like lectures. That's why it needs jump-back and jump-forward controls, like all the podcast players have. It may not be an issu for music, but try to roll back 30 sec in a 2-hour lecture file, while out jogging, and you'll quickly see the utility of this hoped-for feature addition. I love that it eliminates the need to use horrible iTunes to get audio files into your phone, but the playback features could use some love.

Wow! Great app!

I liked it until it deleted all my downloads when I went offline. I contacted support and they asked why I would be offline? I replied that when my internet is down I’m offline. But I often do not sync to Google. So the app is useless to me now. In fact if I do not have my link to google open I can’t access the app. Apparently others just want a link to the cloud. However, not all of us are linked to the cloud. So now I have my audio downloaded to a simple app called “Voice Recorder”. It is basic, but does the job and I have my recordings available offline.
love it, but it does need work
by jkr90000 on 2018/11/24 19:30
I rely on CloudBeats to listen to whatever part of my large music collection I feel like whenever I want wherever I am (with WiFi).
Simply the best

This is without a doubt the best music player on the App Store if you’re looking for a way to access music files on your cloud storage. I’ve tried at least 5 other apps that tried to do the same thing and they all had a horrible flaw. The only thing this app is missing is an equalizer but it does everything it needs to do wonderfully well and also has a great user interface and layout.

Great personal library streaming solution
by Tkchunc on 2017/10/09 14:32
This app functions well with Dropbox integration for me and plays a variety of audio files. It’s not perfect but it’s quite close. I recommend you buy this if you boycott the commercial streaming services and want to use your own library. I have a lot of music archived in my desired locations, and I prefer the DIY solution. This app helps do that best out of any other I’ve tried.
Great little app

Does everything that it says and does it well. I personally love the ability to choose from my cloud libraries and download mp3s to my device at my own choosing. The speed control is great for reading books that narrate slow, and the bookmark feature keeps me from having to find my spot every time. I used to use vlc player, this takes the cake! Thanks.
different cloud drives work differently
by Valiant Eli on 2019/01/31 16:47
This is my music app and I like it but it has taken a lot of work to get it functioning smoothly.
Exactly the one
by Kubisuro on 2017/09/09 22:40
I tried various apps that claimed to use cloud services to play music... And they all failed the "can I figure out how to use what I need in 5 minutes" test. This app passed with flying colors. Supports Apple Lossless, and typical lossy m4a files with no gotchas. It even sees my embedded album art from XLD. Offline mode Just Works and the app knows when music are offline without any special fuss. Radio mode is really song shuffle but it is nice in its simplicity. Optionally it'll play offline only which is ideal if using a NAS that's inaccessible off the LAN. The whole app is a model in simplicity, beating Apple at its own game! Bye bye iTunes Match! I really want album shuffle -- something that the iOS Music app has not had in a long time.
Best Cloud Player Ever
by GregaGenesis on 2018/04/11 02:49
This app is awesome—we can now take our entire music library with us anywhere we go without expensive subscription fees or contracts—none at all! And it plays audiobooks! It is easy to navigate and aesthetically pleasing by easily incorporating cover art. I was skeptical at first, but now I am really glad I found this app—it’s one of my favorite and most valuable apps.
Easy to use
by TJ-Hamster of Thunder on 2019/09/02 10:01
A good, well designed, very easy to use app. The layout is simple and is absolutely perfect, I love it. Highly recommend!!! Only it could be made even more perfect is to make the play speed adjustable in increments of 1% instead of the current 5%. For anyone looking for a very good cloud service/ music player look no further! This is it!!!
I love it!

This app is excellent, and finally has made me able to stop using the worst piece of software I have ever seen in my life, AKA iTunes. Works seamlessly with Dropbox. My one complaint is that, even when you download tracks for offline playing, there is still a loading time of 0.5-2 seconds, despite the song being cached on your phone. I still highly recommend.
Bye Bye Apple
by Annoyed145 on 2017/10/06 00:57
No longer a slave to Apple and their rigid rules. This app plays all your Dropbox music and automatically plays the next song. It will play entire albums unlike Dropbox which will only play one file or song and then stop. This is the solution to my phone music angst. Thank you Cloudbeats for playing Dark Side of the Moon all the way thru!
Perfect for songwriters
by Matt T on 2018/03/17 06:25
I bounce all my recorded songs to a Dropbox folder and use this app to play the tunes on all kinds of devices to check the mix and sound quality. Best app I have found for this as you can easily make playlists, move songs around, and download the songs to the device. Works great!
Highly Recommend

My Apple iPhone wouldn’t allow me to have a live album from one of my favorite bands, it wasn’t available in their library. I have the album in cd. This program allowed me to quickly download the album and I can listen to it whenever I want even on my iPhone. Very pleased!
Good
by Steven1970aaa on 2019/03/03 11:04
Having tried a bunch of different cloud mp3 player apps, this is the only one that can automatically play the next song, even when the app is running in the background or the screen is turned off. Supposed to be able to import Winamp playlists but that feature is not working correctly.
Pretty good
by DenyNoGuest on 2018/09/10 03:13
It’s a great app. It’s missing a few things that would make it the best, though. The ability to edit metadata in-app would be fantastic. The ability to automatically upload from Google Drive without having to play the music first is essential. An equalizer and a volume normalizer would make this app the best. I would pay more for stuff like this.
Great APP if you are low on phone storage
by Inidigojoe12 on 2018/06/11 14:57
This is a great solution for accessing music, audiobooks or recorded lectures on your phone when you do not have the storage to hold them. It remembers where you left off, which is great for long lectures or audiobooks. Great app.
I like it
by Gary with MS on 2018/04/11 10:36
I have all my MP3’s on OneDrive and it works flawlessly scanning and retrieving the music. You can download the music to your device for listening offline. About the only problem I have is with gapless playback. It cuts off from 30 seconds to 45 seconds all together at the beginning and end of songs.
I love the carplay capability, it just needs a few bugs to be squashed.

by .....MK on 2019/06/10 13:17
The app works great, can stream my songs from the cloud.
Great app!
by Cool Papa Christmas on 2017/10/10 15:52
It just works! Functions great with Dropbox, which is a huge benefit for Linux users who can’t load iTunes on their computers to get music to their phones. A few suggestions: - Add the ability to add a song that pops up when using the radio feature to a playlist. - Add the ability to always start or end a song at a certain point. Lots of live music has long intros that kill a playlist. - The scan feature to add newly added music gets stuck on some songs. I have to add new music folder by folder.

I bought this app to play mp3s on my Dropbox. Everything the CloudBeats app pulls up the Dropbox sign in page it disappears immediately before I can sign In. This bug makes the app of zero use to me though I paid for it for a stated capability Please help me
I've tried the rest. This is the best.
by royb200 on 2017/09/08 04:49
This app gives me what I need: 1. A reason to keep all of the free cloud accounts I've accumulated 2. Access to my entire music collection and the ability to download songs 3. The killer part of this app is the ability to create, edit and curate playlists on the go & rate songs The radio feature is really good at creating compelling auto playlists which can be edited later Still needs: 1. A way to export the database so I can set up the iPad version and keep them in sync. 2. Lyrics

Excellent

This is perhaps the best option as a replacement for iTunes Match. Nice bookmark facility. Works well and largely intuitive. One star ticked off because of the GUI which is a bit outdated. Update Sep’2019 - five stars. Excellent. Best.

Easy to use
by TJ-Hamster of Thunder on 2019/09/02 10:01
A good, well designed, very easy to use app. The layout is simple and is absolutely perfect, I love it. Highly recommend!!! Only it could be made even more perfect is to make the play speed adjustable in increments of 1% instead of the current 5%. For anyone looking for a very good cloud service/ music player look no further! This is it!!!

All good except cannot select music

by lacorona on 2019/03/18 05:00
I put all of my music into OneDrive to keep it backed up.

Not happening here.

different cloud drives work differently
by Valiant Eli on 2019/01/31 16:47
This is my music app and I like it but it has taken a lot of work to get it functioning smoothly.
I love it!

Nice app room for improvement

No apple watch app so I can use this app on watch
just ditched my iTunes subscription for this
by Dany4321 on 2018/11/16 21:41
I installed ownCloud on my home ubuntu server and was looking for a good music player that can stream directly from the cloud and download some music I listen to often. I found it. Thanks CloudBeats - superb.
Much needed intuitive app!
by DrTom444 on 2018/11/12 20:39
I just wanted an app to play my music without interfering and without being too complicated (think iTunes) and this does the job perfectly! Very happy!
Great app, well maintained
by KeenEye29 on 2018/11/10 02:02
Finally, I can play my lossless music library from the cloud. Great app! Constantly updated too!
Bug that needs fixing
by Shiro Kusanagi on 2018/10/13 23:16
The app seems to steer you to a Dropbox sign in screen every so often. This bug has persisted for months and needs fixing. I have submitted multiple bug reports to no avail.
Easily the best cloud music app
by PlanningProcess on 2018/10/13 03:30
This has been my go-to app for music in the cloud since day 1. It can handle FLAC and other formats that iPhone can’t handle natively. It’s perfect for audiophiles.
The Absolute Best

By far my favorite APP... Ever!
by Mystery Mr. E on 2018/07/25 12:55
I use this everyday and when I am on wifi there is no concern with data usage.

Just What I Needed!
by MagicHour on 2018/06/29 15:32
As a singer/songwriter for many years I have always used my morning mix as a way to check the latest song I’m working on. Since Apple makes it next to impossible to get a file on your phone, I needed an app that would let me play my mixes off my phone, while allowing me to listen on different speakers. This is so awesome and so easy, I’m very impressed with this app! Thanks guys for helping me sound my best! Don Johns Music.
Need track numbers to show on screen

Great app nonetheless!

by Stock17 on 2018/05/01 20:21
Really a spectacular app. Works perfectly and allows me to consolidate my entire collection in one easy to navigate location. I've emailed them in the past about this and hope they're listening now to provide a desktop application that can stream all the files. Would make my work day that much better. Don't see a downside to adding that ability. Until then, keep it up.

by iggy1345 on 2018/04/28 11:02
I use this app all the time.

If you want more options for listening to a personal music library that isn't stored on iTunes, you can't do much better than Cloud Beats.

by Wlou2015 on 2018/03/08 07:22
I paid for this program and have my songs on my phone via Dropbox.
Rock on!

Love the app
by Stock17 on 2018/05/01 20:21
Really a spectacular app. Works perfectly and allows me to consolidate my entire collection in one easy to navigate location. I've emailed them in the past about this and hope they're listening now to provide a desktop application that can stream all the files. Would make my work day that much better. Don't see a downside to adding that ability. Until then, keep it up.
By far my favorite APP... Ever!
by Mystery Mr. E on 2018/07/25 12:55
I use this everyday and when I am on wifi there is no concern with data usage. Data usage is minimal outside of wifi for a half hour here at the gym, or hour there on the bus but definitely keep track of usage. Stylish and easy to use, with cover art for albums displayed in app and on lock screen. My only minor complaint is that it isn't compatible with older .wmv music files.
Great little app
by Mattopotomus on 2017/10/05 22:27
Does everything that it says and does it well.
Easy to use
by TJ-Hamster of Thunder on 2019/09/02 10:01
A good, well designed, very easy to use app. The layout is simple and is absolutely perfect, I love it. Highly recommend!!! Only it could be made even more perfect is to make the play speed adjustable in increments of 1% instead of the current 5%. For anyone looking for a very good cloud service/ music player look no further! This is it!!!
I love it!
Great app w/ very minor flaws
by dontknockmysmock on 2017/12/11 20:21
This app is excellent, and finally has made me able to stop using the worst piece of software I have ever seen in my life, AKA iTunes.
Highly Recommend
by GUNZ636 on 2018/04/04 12:07
My Apple iPhone wouldn’t allow me to have a live album from one of my favorite bands, it wasn’t available in their library. I have the album in cd. This program allowed me to quickly download the album and I can listen to it whenever I want even on my iPhone. Very pleased!
Good
by Steven1970aaa on 2019/03/03 11:04
Having tried a bunch of different cloud mp3 player apps, this is the only one that can automatically play the next song, even when the app is running in the background or the screen is turned off.
Great app.
I like it
by Gary with MS on 2018/04/11 10:36
I have all my MP3’s on OneDrive and it works flawlessly scanning and retrieving the music. You can download the music to your device for listening offline. About the only problem I have is with gapless playback. It cuts off from 30 seconds to 45 seconds all together at the beginning and end of songs.
Review
by .....MK on 2019/06/10 13:17
The app works great, can stream my songs from the cloud.
Great app!
by Cool Papa Christmas on 2017/10/10 15:52
It just works!
Can’t login Dropbox
by LysergicLabs on 2018/04/26 18:20
I bought this app to play mp3s on my Dropbox.
2. Lyrics
