My Love for the nation.
by HapKlein on 2020/10/16 01:11
I seek and enjoy human developments that are interesting and generally missed by the media. The Nation tries to be truthful to even invite popular anger makes it my personal choice to read the critical aspects of our culture. the nation has special insight to hidden and undercurrents of social movements to frame of the emerging facts for women and people of color. Informing the world of mostly unreported changes in society and lead the way for other media to the join the Nation is a marvelous gift to us all. May we celebrate these gifts for an infinite future.

30 Year Reader
by CMEdwards01 on 2020/05/31 16:45
I’ve been reading the Nation since 1989 and most of those years I’ve been a subscriber. I renewed my subscription in February. Haven’t seen an issue. Not a big deal if I could access the app. But no. No matter how times I change my password I can’t log in. Their subscriber services has been just short of useless helping me. Guess it’s time we part ways. Perhaps Mother Jones or Progressive would be happy to have my business.
Good ecological good news source
by xs10shal on 2020/05/01 18:56
I feel good about reading timely informative articles without wasting paper and ink. The Nation is always at hand with this app.
The App and the content

The Nation is my go to source of real hardline perspectives and coverage of events! This app lets you view some of the main content. I couldn’t be happier~ William A. Stofer
App isn’t even “terrible”
by panoptic on 2020/04/10 10:04
Can’t login so what’s the point of spending the extra money on an digital subscription when you can’t use it. Come on nation this stuff ain’t hard.

by Stephanie LK on 2020/02/29 15:35
I subscribed to the digital version. I can access the site successfully on my computer via the website, but the iPhone app will not let me log in. I get an error every time I submit my information. Please fix this!

Useless app
by BirminghamMark on 2020/02/12 13:31
Unable to log in. Contacted customer support. No reply. Apparently I’m not the only one having this issue. This reflects poorly on the publication.
Fine publication, poor app.
by Ongeblozzen on 2020/02/09 20:48
Useless app. Longtime reader with continuous problems connecting to my account. What’s the point of a digital subscription when you have limited access?
Disgraceful lack of concern for visually impaired
by jfalick on 2020/02/07 23:29
How does a magazine that promotes social justice simply ignore readers with vision issues by publishing with an app with a tiny fixed font size? Really surprised and very disappointed.
Review is the only thing that works

Can’t log in. They asked for my review, her it is. Very short. Can’t log in, therefore worthless!
App not working
by Returned subscriber on 2020/02/06 14:52
Can’t log in with subscriber info. Now have to use the web page on a browser to access content. Any way subscribers can avoid click bait re: Meghan Markle? It’s a serious disadvantage to offer a non-functioning app to subscribers. It sends a message.

Great content but......
by DrewCincinnati on 2019/10/23 21:56
The web interface is very annoying. You have to create our account on a computer not on a mobile device. It does not work with a password manager and they insist you accept reselling your info. Whoever set this up must be a very unconnected Luddite. We are discontinuing online viewing
The Nation is the Standard
by whatever#stupidrequirement on 2019/10/15 12:57
The Nation is the go-to resource for the progressive left. There is simply no better source for issues of social justice. As a proud American Atheist, The Nation serves as my bible and informs my conscience.

Needs improvement
by Tweakboy87 on 2018/08/02 01:37
You will need a WiFi connection otherwise they are not available and you cannot save for later except by individual arrival. I have a iPad mini which does not offer cellular and it’s the newest model. I like to it on my commute. There also seems to be a disconnect between the magazine and its technology provider. Maz. Although I subscribed it does not recognize my email address. I even changed my password at the Nation website and still no go. My other complaint is, each time you return the app it does not keep your last position. Very annoying. I do love the simplicity. Ability to change the font size would be a plus. The default font auto sizes for the device so the text is still small on a device such as a iPad Air as well as the iPhone.
Still annoyingly problematic app
by Fdc3 on 2018/07/28 03:57
I also have the problem of the app not remembering my login information. I have been a print and online subscriber for two years. I love the magazine and I constructively complained about the app prior to the “update”. The “fix” is no better than the original. They should fire the manager and director responsible for their app. The incompetence is mind-blowing.

5 stars for content,1 for app
by DW in Virginia on 2018/06/27 14:58
About a year after my original review, the app is still useless. It won't take my login info, but gives me an error message and an email address to contact. When I try the email, I get an error that it isn't valid. I love the magazine, but seriously, this app seems to have zero priority. A real shame. I'm changing my rating down to one star. --- My experience is exactly the same as Zimmerman's on Dec 1. I have subscribed to digital+paper, and I logged in. Login is very confusing. I have been able to access some issues , but have tried for days to access the issue that just arrived in hard copy, and it wants to charge me for it or take out another subscription. This is a very important publication that many more people should be reading. Please fix the iPhone app!
Agreed: this app does not work
by Original Jambox on 2018/03/10 18:25
The older reviews seems to indicate that the app works but is a little buggy. The current version (10.0) does not seem to work at all. I had customer support reset my password twice, but I still cannot login. I give up. Please fix this app or refund my digital subscription.
App does not work
by BeeAsInBumble on 2018/01/16 20:07
This app does not work, even if you are a subscriber. When you try to log in, it will say that your username/password is incorrect (when it isn’t) or that your subscription has expired (when it hasn’t). This app is not functional. If you try to contact customer service about it, you will get no response to multiple emails and the most argumentative, attitudinal representatives on the phone. This app and its customer service are a mess.
Sub has NOT expired.
by BQ33 on 2017/11/05 18:11
App is fine WHEN IT WORKS. Every couple months, it tells me my sub has expired (it has NOT-- have print+ sub) and I have to jump thru hoops to get app to accept that I have a sub. Getting very tired of this.
Really needs attention
by jdieud on 2017/08/09 15:21
Signing on using the app is EXTREMELY frustrating. A banner pops up every time telling one that activation is required, even after following all the steps. Had to contact customer service and was assured that this was a known problem. But nothing is being done. Reluctant to ding with one star but this really is hurting the experience. Please fix immediately.
Worst magazine UI

TRUMP IMPEACHED?
by Popcornl3oi on 2017/04/18 22:57
Possible through actions like this app. It was started by students of activism and progressives. They are learning how to communicate there ideals through this app into the main stream. Please look on the broader horizon of things and look at what they are doing and talking about. This app started in 2016 and so did their resistance school in Cambridge. They are trying to guide our future generations into the right path. Not more monopolistic indoctrinated society's that create a behind the scenes republican monarchy.
I agree with everyone else
by arussell726 on 2017/03/17 00:27
I love The Nation, and I don't regret subscribing. However, I would like to be able to access the digital archives through this app. Additionally, this isn't very user friendly, especially to try and read an issue. I love he website, but this needs a LOT of work.
The Nation must have forgotten they have an app
by Jacklyn Hoffe on 2017/03/10 16:48
I don't know what's going on with this app. First, it's cumbersome to log in. Then, even though I paid for a subscription, I still have to pay for issues. It's as if the Nation has forgotten about the app, or zero-ed out maintenance for it. The mobile website is way better. You can do everything you need on the mobile website.
Useless app
by lhillsrn on 2017/03/09 20:52
Great magazine but the app is useless. I paid for a subscription but cannot access the magazines. The instructions in the app don't work.
Why?
by Heroine123 on 2017/02/20 23:51
I have the same issue as other users. I have a digital subscription and an account. But app doesn't show any issues for me to read without paying additional $.
Great magazine, but do not sign up through the app!!
by aetheron_hio on 2017/02/15 14:44
Love the content and news articles in the magazine and the apps functionality. However, DO NOT SIGN UP THROUGH ITUNES or their app. The Nation does not give you access to their webpage if you sign up this way despite it being the same price on iTunes or through its app. Sign up first on their webpage to get access to all their content for the same price. Very disappointing to hear about this today.
Please fix this app
by Lady Pepperell on 2017/02/13 01:43
Background color on TOC is the same color as text. This is a 5 minute CSS fix that renders the app practically unusable. Please fix!
What???
by Gailsgig on 2017/01/21 13:19

Abysmal, yet useless...
by wrybagels on 2017/01/20 19:52
Glad to have subscribed, but unable to access any issues. App is abysmally bad.
App doesn't work - please fix!
by Zo67 on 2017/01/06 14:49
Nation, this app is a disgrace. If I can't access my digital subscription then why did I get one? Please fix this.
Nation! Step it up!
by Amitabha on 2017/01/05 03:11
The UI is terrible, signing on to the app for the first time user is a lame experience! As a digital subscriber Why do we not have access to all issues as stated when enrolling? The app is an utter waste. Use the web site and leave it at that. If anyone from the Nation sees this; you guys need to step it up and invest the appropriate amount of money into making a fluidly, intuitive and functional modern app. This is embarrassing! How on earth do you expect to stay afloat? Even your ads don't work! I wanted to learn more about the Domini fund, tapped on the ad and was taken to a white, blank page - no web site. If I was them I'd be rather perturbed.
Garbage
by jsinger801 on 2017/01/03 04:41
This app is garbage. I've paid for a subscription online, it works online. The app doesn't recognize my subscription, no matter how many times I delete it and reinstall. It's too bad, since I bought the subscription thinking I could read it on the train in the morning when I don't have service. So disappointed.
App is broken
by freddynitrate on 2017/01/02 18:44
Don't bother downloading this app. I just purchased a digital subscription a few hours ago and the app still prompts me to pay for a new subscription. Poorly designed, hard to use, but worst of all is it's unacceptable lack of the most basic functionalities.
Just stick with the dead tree version
by Harmon1459 on 2016/12/29 16:33
App is worthless. Impossible to convince it you have an active subscription. Just stick with the dead tree version of The Nation until/unless they ever manage to fix it.
Terrible App
by wrosen21 on 2016/12/16 03:42
Every time I access the app via iPad, I'm not recognized as a subscriber. Haven't experienced this kind of app malfunction since the creation of apps. Very, very frustrating.
It doesn't work
by lavenderstreak on 2016/12/05 13:57
I got the app. I logged in as a subscriber successfully but I still have to purchase a subscription. No recognition that I already have one. This only succeeds in creating bad feelings about the magazine which can be responsibly resolved by creating an app that works properly and is backed up by support from the Nation, not iTunes. (Yeah right) Anyway another app bites the dust.
Great content, wretched app
by Greg Zimmerman on 2016/12/01 20:05
I've been a subscriber for two weeks, and both times now a new issue was available, the app wants me to pay again for the single issue. Yes, I'm logged in, etc. Ugh. I just can't understand how in this day and age, media companies can provide content as great as The Nation's, but then set up barriers like a half-assed app to getting that content to their readers. Do better!
Can't even log in
by gutberger on 2016/11/25 12:50
This app is dysfunctional. Tried to log in and wound up in an infuriating endless loop. Nation app people - you can do better (I hope.)
An app as good as any other magazine
by Sindbaad on 2016/11/21 02:27
The app is as good or as bad as any other app relegated to other magazines. One simply has to be subscribed before one may use the app. As a subscriber one registers with the Nation magazine's website and creates an account. Then and only then one can use the app and access the wealth of material available both in the current and previous issues.
Terrible Dysfunctional App
by Apollo11Reporter on 2016/11/14 17:51
Could not access the electronic subscription I paid for through website. Extremely disappointed.
A hot mess
by GA Lib on 2016/10/18 21:31
A steaming heap of crap, the app, not the magazine. Must have been developed by an idiot or a republican, but I repeat myself.
Poopy
by Jimzase on 2016/10/16 04:06
Couldn't connect to my subscription through the maze of password updates etc. Great publication. App designers are totally inept.
Workaround
by bnicklas88 on 2016/09/29 20:43
I've just started downloading a PDF from the Nation website. You have to be logged in to see the link on the current issue page, but it's there. Then I just AirDrop it onto my iPad. Hope that helps someone!
Lost an Hour Trying to Fix an Issue
by Kim_Bee on 2016/09/08 16:00
This is the worst app I've ever worked with. My latest issue opened the previous issue instead and could never get it to work. Customer 'service' told me to call iTunes (yeah, right). I insisted on talking to digital support, told to remove and reinstall the app and that I wouldn't need a log in because I purchased sub through iTunes. That didn't work and I am locked out of my existing sub. I cancelled iTunes renewal and signed up through the Nation and will try again.
Worked for me
by barlowlee on 2016/08/11 05:02
I had no trouble getting the app to work. I was already an online subscriber, though, and simply logged into the app using the username email and password I already had. So no complaints.
Crap App
by Books alone on 2016/08/09 14:16
This app is useless. Does nothing but send you around in circles. If you want to read The Nation forget the digital subscription. You'll be wasting your money and your time. Go for the paper subscription instead. And shame on The Nation for even putting this app out there.
Crap App
by Books alone on 2016/08/08 23:14
This app has major problems. Don't bother subscribing for digital access (you won't be able to access it anyway) just go for the old fashioned paper magazine.
Nation app
by Whatever you wanr on 2016/07/30 12:47
Agree with both reviews. Can not get it to work.
Worst App Experience Ever
by Papa Budge on 2016/07/25 21:40
Condolences to the fine writers and editors of this magazine, betrayed by inept programmers and customer "service" drones who try to blame Apple for the excrement they have dropped in the App Store.
Horrible antiquated app
by pahndeepah on 2016/07/22 03:01
I downloaded the App and then paid for my subscription thru Apple like I have with a few magazines and journals. I get confirmation from Apple that my money has been debited. But I cannot get the app to let me register and use the service. It goes in circles. Of course they do not have a call center that has technical trouble shooters beyond 6pm. How do I get my money back?
Serviceable, but poor
by Aniibiish on 2016/06/11 04:36
One thing I figured out only after struggling for weeks trying to read articles: the app only scrolls correctly in portrait mode.
Don't buy through iTunes
by Rob 61 on 2016/04/21 13:45
You can only read the magazine articles with the app. Digital articles published by the Nation are not available to you and you will not have an account with the Nation through iTunes. Get your subscription through the web directly from the Nation instead.
Incompatibility
by 774646464 on 2016/03/25 18:13
The issues aren't compatible with the app. They are unreadable as a consequence. Do not subscribe to The Nation through this app. I really enjoy this magazine, but this app is awful.
Beware!
by Lmv5853 on 2016/03/24 14:21
This app is poorly designed and doesn't work well. Once you sign up for automatic yearly withdraws, beware. There is no way to stop them. There is no place on the app to manage or cancel the subscription. If you try calling the "support" number, they give you the run around and ultimately don't help either. Contacting Apple didn't help either, they said it was beyond their control. After two years trying to cancel this subscription, they are still taking out 20 bucks outta my account once a year. Beware
Breathtakingly Bad...
by lapresle on 2016/03/23 03:56
Where to begin... The issue format is different than the app, I know this because a warning pops up every time I open an issue. You can't read issues offline. When offline, the app closes itself. When downloading an issue, you have to keep the app open, if it closes, it stops downloading. As good as the Nation is, this app is as bad.
Incompatible with its own content
by MD Convert on 2016/03/22 17:50
This is the worst of hundreds of iPhone apps that I have used. It's content is always the "wrong version" even though the user has no control over versions. It cannot be used offline. There are no usable bookmarks. Jumping from contents to an article often lands on an ad; the article cannot be found. The magazine is top notch and deserves a better platform on the iPhone. I will not be renewing my iTunes subsciption.
Terrible App
by Domino009 on 2016/03/21 17:06
Very poorly written app. As much as I like The Nation, I would counsel everyone to stay away from this piece of garbage.
Not too bad
by Sandy Campbell on 2016/03/20 22:20
I have a print subscription, and just created a user id and password online using a desktop computer and the web interface. Then I downloaded the app onto my iPad and logged in. The whole process was strange and unwieldy, but I was successful. The app appears to be designed for use only when connected to wifi. It seems to download pieces of the magazine on demand instead of downloading the whole thing. Navigation is also peculiar, but I have been able to figure it out. I am a software engineer and very familiar with the peculiarities of web and app interfaces, so maybe I have less trouble than most would. I view every strange user interface with suspicion and the expectation that it will be fragile. I must say, I would rather read the print issue. If I can figure out how to get entire issues downloaded at once instead of piecemeal, I might try to use it to read offline.
Awful App
by Lunatude on 2016/03/19 14:04
If I could give the app no stars I would. This is an atrocious update. I have been a reader of the Nation for decades, but with this new travesty of an app I am no longer - not out of choice, but because it won't let me log in. The instructions for verifying a subscription with the new app if the subscription was obtained through iTunes require me to hit "done" and "library" from my account page, neither of which are even on the page. Checking on the web I see that the app can be used if the subscription is through the magazine directly, but those subscribers have additional features available to them. If you're an iTunes subscriber I guess you have neither these added features nor even the magazine. What a deal! Update September 14, 2016 I called The Nation. The person I spoke with seemed to know nothing about the continuing problems through the iTunes app with an iTunes subscription. Because I have an iTunes subscription, I was left with no resolution, just a referral to the Nation tech department. This happened when I called earlier this year. I regret now subscribing in January. If you are considering subscribing DON'T, at least not through iTunes. ****** Hello? HELLO? Is anyone there? Does anyone in the tech department read these reviews? I dropped my iTunes subscription a few months ago due to this lousy app. I recently resubscribed for an online subscription. I thought the app would be fixed by now. Ha! I am still told my magazine might not format correctly to work with version 5.7. It was doing that when I dropped the iTunes subscription. Fortunately, with an online subscription I can access a PDF version. Nation Magazine, tear down this app! Build a new one.
No app for me.
by gerona48 on 2016/03/16 13:24
I like the publication, but after reading these reviews, I will be deleting the app.
Great publication poor digital presentation
by LisaTheAppChick on 2016/02/12 07:38
Also you can't remove issues if you try (option under hear icon) the app crashes. Have to delete app and all issues to save space. If this worked I'd give this 2 stars
Sadly, the world's most valuable opinion journal has the worst app
by Cotwa2 on 2016/02/03 20:22
I have been a print and/or digital subscriber to The Nation for decades. I cherish it. This review is intended to be constructive. I'm also a very tech savvy person. This app is an embarrassment. It can be usable for a while but from time to time the account system goes nuts, and I am no longer able to access new content. Emails with tech support etc have at least on one occasion led to a restoration of my ability to log in. But here I sit, once again, unable to sign in to my account. It appears the problem is more with the server than with the app. While we're at it, here are other complaints I have about this app: - No variable text size. The pages are preformatted and I have no control. Every other civilized news or magazine app I have used (e.g. Harper's, The New Yorker, The Economist, The New York Times) has this feature. - No landscape view!!!! I've never seen this problem on any reading app. An "icon" appears ordering me to rotate my iPad or iPhone! This is a flagrant violation of modern human interface and mobile app design principles. - No dictionary support. Apparently The Nation app uses nonstandard text display, so I'm unable to select a word for dictionary lookup. - No scrolling view. The text is formatted into "pages" and one must skip from one to the next. Some other apps, notably The NY Times, do have this same flaw. Overall it appears to me that the job of developing this app was relegated to the graphics department, as the overall philosophy appears to be trying to force a mobile device to behave like a print magazine. This theory is also supported by the fact that whoever is in charge is not current on mobile app technology and has produced an inferior and unreliable accounts system. Thanks for listening, The Nation.
A disgusting app
by Kambizs53 on 2016/01/31 04:09
I purchased the subscription but app showed none i tried to contact customer service but received zero response. I should have trust the reviews here. This app is disgusting. Save yourself from a bad headache, don't download it and do not subscribe to the magazine.

Can't activate at all. Worst magazine app ever
by NinotchkaNoir on 2016/01/12 03:53
App won't let me register. Customer service rep couldn't help at all. She rudely told me that IT was not available and condescendingly explained " there's a time difference between east and west coasts", and stated that I should try later in the week!! Cancelling my subscription

Please, please, please fix. I have a nation subscription that I cannot use because the app crashes every time I try to open an issue. This has not been working for months. It is more than about time you released an update that fixes the problem.
Crashes When Offline!
by Titus95150 on 2015/12/29 03:01
With latest version, app crashes when offline, immediately after attempting to open a previously downloaded issue. Makes the app useless for reading on subway, plane, or wherever there's no connection. Please fix!!
Font size
by steve ranney on 2015/12/26 14:59
I had been buy individual issues using Nook which worked fine. When I subscribed I got this app. It works ok except you can't adjust the font display size. It's a bit small on my phone.
Adios
by JoeMike62 on 2015/11/29 23:34
I deleted this app and downloaded PDFs of print issues. On my new iPad the contents don't display correctly, so at least the PDF is reliable.

Unuseable
by Mcgannmp on 2015/10/12 21:11
I just purchased a year subscription an am unable to read the magazine with this app. I agree. It doesn't deserve even one star. What recourse do I have?
Awful app
by Bhjhgjjgfjjfdfhhfdc on 2015/10/09 14:52
I love The Nation and I'll never unsubscribe but I can't read the magazine on this terrible app. Now I have to go back to reading the paper copies.
Nation Mag get it Together!
by SWongWeissman on 2015/10/08 05:10
Worst app ever. I'm going to cancel my subscription. I want to support the Mag but this is unbelievably bad. Pages do not display properly.
More misery
by John Beresford Tipton, Jr. on 2015/09/30 16:28
As much as I love the Nation, I'm dumbfounded by the ineptitude of the magazine's attempts to grapple with the digital age. With every new update of the app there are problems with logging in, downloading issues, and now with even simply seeing the text. It almost makes one wonder if an organization this seemingly befuddled can be trusted in their writing!

Issues won't display correctly
by j_oh_nj on 2015/08/21 12:08

Terrible App
by swspits on 2015/07/30 17:46
The app does not format the content correctly and the content is unreadable. When you pay for something you expect it to work. Don't buy the digital subscription until they fix their problems.
Horrible
by EnjoiRelyks on 2015/07/18 15:06
I love The Nation as a reading source but this app makes the publication absolutely unreadable due to formatting issues. I wonder why they haven't adapted to the current times and hired an effective development team.
App needs some work.....
by hhartus on 2015/07/07 17:42
I'm also relieved to see some of these reviews and learn the problems aren't unique on my end. You pay extra for this digital subscription, in my case to save paper, but you'd think it would also bring some measure of convenience. Instead, I see another app offers new issues #before# the Nation, there is some mysterious message telling me the version of the app I'm using isn't the latest and there may be formatting"issues," (and there are), but no clear way to upgrade. Plus, I've had to phone the office a few times to re-activate my subscription when it had't expired but I was being prompted to by issues. There appears to be no way to correct something Ike that online, I hope the Natipn app developers will look into this!,,,,,
I thought it was just me...
by prdecker on 2015/06/14 14:52
Glad I finally took the time to read these reviews. I thought it was just my generally negative technical mojo. Now if we can just get the app people from The Nation to read the reviews and fix it. Just so there is no confusion, I agree with the majority opinion of the reviewers. This is by far the worst app I have ever used and should be an absolute embarrassment to the editors of the Nation. I am not ready to cancel my subscription yet, but something needs to be done soon. I cannot login, renew or do anything related to my account and I am definitely not alone in this.

App broken no access
by Cycledoc22 on 2015/04/18 18:07
Can't access mag since revamp. Don't bother subscribing thru iTunes. Amazingly bad updat as it sheds its iTunes customers. Adding insult to injury their website has no record of my direct subscription. No explanation from the magazine for a month. They have lost this subscriber!!!!!!!!
Useless app
by bobsaun on 2015/04/13 22:48
This application is worthless. Do not buy. Even if it works you have limited access to the magazine. This is why legacy magazines will not survive
Updated app doesn't work
by Nomail65 on 2015/04/05 13:49
Agree with the other reviewers, I tried multiple times to 'log in' but didn't change anything, and issues haven't been updated in weeks. Please fix this.
Terrible app - canceling digital subscription
by Mullie1 on 2015/04/03 14:56
I subscribed for two year term with The Nation digital. This app has not updated the issues in weeks and the newer issues are not available. Customer Support at The Nation does not return ANY email requests for assistance. I'm canceling my subscription. Awful app and customer service!
The worst
by fwguy10 on 2015/03/31 20:11
Not sure if it is the magazine or the app but it is impossible to get to the meat of The Nation. Sad, too. I called and got the run-around. “Did you get your subscription from iTunes or from us?” It was like they help you differently depending on where you get your subscription. I can’t log in, even when I change my pw electronically. And how many times do I need to see the same issue cover? <Is there a negative star?>

Great content but......
by DrewCincinnati on 2019/10/23 21:56
The web interface is very annoying. You have to create our account on a computer not on a mobile device. It does not work with a password manager and they insist you accept reselling your info. Whoever set this up must be a very unconnected Luddite. We are discontinuing online viewing

by Returned subscriber on 2020/02/06 14:52
Can’t log in with subscriber info. Now have to use the web page on a browser to access content. Any way subscribers can avoid click bait re: Meghan Markle? It’s a serious disadvantage to offer a non-functioning app to subscribers. It sends a message.
Sub has NOT expired.
by BQ33 on 2017/11/05 18:11

TRUMP IMPEACHED?
by Popcornl3oi on 2017/04/18 22:57
Possible through actions like this app. It was started by students of activism and progressives. They are learning how to communicate there ideals through this app into the main stream. Please look on the broader horizon of things and look at what they are doing and talking about. This app started in 2016 and so did their resistance school in Cambridge. They are trying to guide our future generations into the right path. Not more monopolistic indoctrinated society's that create a behind the scenes republican monarchy.

Not too bad
by Sandy Campbell on 2016/03/20 22:20
I have a print subscription, and just created a user id and password online using a desktop computer and the web interface.

Nation! Step it up!
by Amitabha on 2017/01/05 03:11
The UI is terrible, signing on to the app for the first time user is a lame experience!
The Nation Magazine
by The Only Big Al on 2013/09/28 15:58
Whenever I try to read a long article, especially in the section "Books and the Arts," the app crashes at the same spot in the article each time I try to read it. It's very frustrating and so far I haven't received any response when I've tried to contact the magazine to get it fixed. Since I subscribe mostly for the longer articles, this is a deal-breaker; I'm thinking of canceling my subscription if it can't be fixed.

Beware!
by Lmv5853 on 2016/03/24 14:21
This app is poorly designed and doesn't work well. Beware

by aetheron_hio on 2017/02/15 14:44
Love the content and news articles in the magazine and the apps functionality.
Frustrating
by Bleeber on 2014/06/12 22:32
This magazine doesn't like me. I tried to read it with this app but it only lets me see advertisements. I tried using the other app they offer but it was very difficult to use and see. I like the magazine, given the bit I can read sometimes but had to quit my subscription as there seems to be no way to read it on my ipad2. They need technical first aid.
I will not be renewing my iTunes subsciption.

by jdieud on 2017/08/09 15:21
Signing on using the app is EXTREMELY frustrating. A banner pops up every time telling one that activation is required, even after following all the steps. Had to contact customer service and was assured that this was a known problem. But nothing is being done. Reluctant to ding with one star but this really is hurting the experience. Please fix immediately.
Incredibly slow downloads
by Palisades00 on 2014/07/26 15:55
I'm on a 50mbps fios connection and the 150mb file is currently about a third of the way done after an hour of downloading. This is my third attempt at downloading it. This should take 10-15 seconds on my connection. My email to their tech support has gone unanswered for over 4 days. I love the content of this magazine, but this attempt at an app is pathetic. Don't waste your time.
Do better!
Breathtakingly Bad...
by lapresle on 2016/03/23 03:56
Where to begin... The issue format is different than the app, I know this because a warning pops up every time I open an issue. You can't read issues offline. When offline, the app closes itself. When downloading an issue, you have to keep the app open, if it closes, it stops downloading. As good as the Nation is, this app is as bad.

How does a magazine that promotes social justice simply ignore readers with vision issues by publishing with an app with a tiny fixed font size? Really surprised and very disappointed.

Please fix immediately.

by Popcornl3oi on 2017/04/18 22:57
Possible through actions like this app. Not more monopolistic indoctrinated society's that create a behind the scenes republican monarchy.

by arussell726 on 2017/03/17 00:27
I love The Nation, and I don't regret subscribing.

Nation! Step it up!
by Amitabha on 2017/01/05 03:11
The UI is terrible, signing on to the app for the first time user is a lame experience!

Terrible App
by wrosen21 on 2016/12/16 03:42

Workaround
by bnicklas88 on 2016/09/29 20:43
I've just started downloading a PDF from the Nation website.

Thanks for listening, The Nation.

by Bhjhgjjgfjjfdfhhfdc on 2015/10/09 14:52
I love The Nation and I'll never unsubscribe but I can't read the magazine on this terrible app.

Nation! Step it up!
by Amitabha on 2017/01/05 03:11
The UI is terrible, signing on to the app for the first time user is a lame experience!

Beware

by aetheron_hio on 2017/02/15 14:44
Love the content and news articles in the magazine and the apps functionality.
Frustrating
by Bleeber on 2014/06/12 22:32
This magazine doesn't like me. I tried to read it with this app but it only lets me see advertisements. I tried using the other app they offer but it was very difficult to use and see. I like the magazine, given the bit I can read sometimes but had to quit my subscription as there seems to be no way to read it on my ipad2. They need technical first aid.
I will not be renewing my iTunes subsciption.

by jdieud on 2017/08/09 15:21
Signing on using the app is EXTREMELY frustrating.
Do better!
Breathtakingly Bad...
by lapresle on 2016/03/23 03:56
Where to begin... The issue format is different than the app, I know this because a warning pops up every time I open an issue. You can't read issues offline. When offline, the app closes itself. When downloading an issue, you have to keep the app open, if it closes, it stops downloading. As good as the Nation is, this app is as bad.
