Over aggressive and slow security at Epcot. Today On 26 November exit from magic kingdom unprofessionally cast members at monorail. After fireworks. Not good not Disney.
Service and WiFi
by shan-o-nana on 2019/12/07 20:19
I really like this app however the service and WiFi connection is really awful. Especially at the parks which is where you need it most.

Drains the battery pretty quick I believe and my plans app deleted my fast pass
App Crashes
by Oceanvue on 2019/12/07 17:56
I’ve updated the app a couple of times and my IOS and the app still crashes frequently. Very frustrating. For as much money Disney charges I would expect a magical stellar experience.
Useless
by Unhappiest Place on Earth on 2019/12/07 16:40
Useless nothing works the way it should
Nice, but many glitches
by RLET062814SPT on 2019/12/07 16:32
The app has some neat features, but there are a lot of glitches. Anytime I try to link my hotel reservation or make a dining reservation, the app shuts down. Might be more useful in the park, but for planning it is not especially useful, unfortunately. The website has more features for managing reservations, but even that has many limitations and you often end up having to call to make changes or add/remove features
Awesome App, everything at your fingertips!

Easy to use, great way to connect family and friends while enjoying Disney!
Hollywood studios
by Teek88 on 2019/12/07 15:31
Had issues with our bands getting in and missed our fast pass. Was told the fast pass was taken care of and we could ad others. Got into the park and that was not true.
New Star Wars ride

New star was ride
by Rachthom77 on 2019/12/07 14:55
Opening early without notice because people want to camp out isn’t right. At least lock the boarding passes down until your posted opening time.
Very disappointed
by (mike007) on 2019/12/07 14:11
Came up here. Go on this Star Wars recess. Get to the park when it’s open. Each day and group rides where done for the day not fair
Dining issues
by bobby_keith on 2019/12/07 06:13
The new version of this app is convenient, but I prefer the old version I used last time I visited Disney world in 2016. The app isn’t as friendly for finding and making dinner reservations as it used to be. I can’t see reviews of the restaurants, pictures, nor does it tell you how many dining tickets each restaurant uses for the dining plan, like it used to.
Could be improved
by Worship Leader 1957 on 2019/12/07 01:54
For young kids it would be nice to allow parents or grandparents to share their schedule
Great App

Disney still impresses
by Lucybone on 2019/12/06 22:56
Overall, our trip to the Magic Kingdom was fantastic. We travelled with a special needs child and they were incredibly accommodating. Lots of great technology in place to make waiting for rides easy. Cast members were always ready to help and super friendly. I would say they need to improve their coffee choices by having more options and provide real cream. Food is especially expensive but quality doesn’t quite match. Also, they need more vegetarian options. The world is moving to more plant-based food choices and Disney should readily embrace the movement.

Way tooooo crowded! And being denied entry to Rise of The Resistance is SOOOOOO RUDE! Eight months of planning this trip and $15,000 just to see this ride! Never again will we come back.
Too slow and need notifications
by Manzanitapr on 2019/12/06 19:59
It will be great to receive notifications when not in the app when my fast past are ready. It is. It is not effective to be entering into the app to know the times and reminders. Same for reservations for restaurants. In addition. Annual past holders should be able to select 5 passes at st time. We are he ones that keep the park running in slow seasons
Disney app
by scuster01 on 2019/12/06 19:41
This app is amazing! It has all of my reservations I’ve made. So easy to navigate and stay on track with times and locations.

Hollywood Studios
by !sllt on 2019/12/06 15:58
Disappointed with the ability to get to Rise if Resistance. It stated must be in park to get group . Get to park & nothing available. Too many bars, & not enough rides or interaction for adults!
Disappointing accommodation
by Love to shop!(: on 2019/12/06 10:00
Although I spent hours on the phone many months in advance to make sure the four rooms I booked for our family were close together, when I arrived they were in separate buildings. A cast member worked in the back office for a long time and told me she had worked out for us to be in buildings with only one building between us but when my son arrived a couple of hours later he was put on the other side of the property. Disappointing and frustrating!
No electricity in the room

Terrible
by notcool321456 on 2019/12/06 03:44
The app is very difficult to navigate and has no option to search for what you need. It needs to be cleaned up and sped up for the way Disney makes you use it.
Disney
by TJTLPN on 2019/12/05 23:30
Disney is the most wonderful place you can be. If you’re here for one day or a longer stay you can’t help but feel better and smile. You can’t be unhappy here. Everyone treats you so kind and are very respectful. Thank you to all the DISNEY staff.

Our experience
by Happy parkhopper on 2019/12/05 20:59
We stayed on property and got our fast passes and dining reservations 60 days out. We meticulously planned every day and were able to do everything and more. Food and wine , Christmas around the world, lots of rides and character interaction. As usual, a perfect vacation. Thank you, Walt Disney, for your imagination.

Disturbing
by Cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on 2019/12/05 17:50
Everything is beautiful. However one very disturbing thing I am witnessing . People on scooters who don’t really need them . They should be ashamed ! I have watched people park them and get off and walk perfectly fine . How could they live with themselves ?? There are people who truly can’t walk ! Just awful to see this .
Frustrating waste of money !!!!!
by Wkluwer on 2019/12/05 17:19
Came all the way from another state got a 1 day 4 park hopper only to get bumped off from the boarding group of Star Wars : Rise of the Resistance and NO just no Customer Relations would bother giving you a voucher for a return or override !!! Want to take the rides , spend more money on a Fast Pass !!! This is my 3rd and definitely the last !! I don’t wanna invest in Disney stocks either ever !!!
Hard to link tickets
by mnepofigu on 2019/12/05 17:10
Having trouble to link tickets to an app. Tried website- stuck on the page “assigning”. App says having problem. I was trying for a couple hours now to link them and no luck(((( meanwhile fast passes got taken. Very disappointed. Well and impossible to send a feedback apparently... even super crazy nicknames are taken!!!
Ride of the resistance booked by 8am
by wie11 on 2019/12/05 16:54
So disappointed that this ride was booked by 8am, yet no updates were posted on your site. We called several times on our drive and nobody could give us the info. Had we known the ride was booked for the day we would have postponed our trip. I’m visiting from out of town and to waste money on the ticket today and miss out on the ride is so upsetting.

Smelly Room
by Smelly Room on 2019/12/04 21:15

It’s a must have in order to “Do Disney”
by Disney Dad Ben on 2019/12/04 20:13
Without the app it’s very hard to plan or even get around. It’s your itinerary and your GPS.
Disappointment
by Sarahsuesimm on 2019/12/04 20:11
The app registered 2 tickets under the same name, after multiples calls to fix the issues, approximately 3 hours of telephone calls we still had no resolution. Once in the parks the connection to the app was horrible and we were unable to check fast passes. I’m a single mother with a 3 year old, for the amount of money I spent to enter the parks for 2 days I shouldn’t have had these issues. I’m broke now and our experience sucked with this app
App Refuses to Work
by mlynch100 on 2019/12/04 16:52
I have used My Disney Experience before for a long time but since I haven’t had a need to use it, I took it off of my phone. I’ve been trying to re download for a future trip but every time I open it, it freezes and I can’t touch anything. I close and open it and it force quits and crashes. Before I and would have rated 5 stars, but with these issues, I have to give it a 2 (should probably be a 1 because it won’t work for me at all, but I’ve had such good experiences in the past)
Poorly done

Not crazy about the update
by psujo on 2019/12/04 12:45
The new layout is so cluttered and makes it hard to find planning details. I’m finding it not user friendly for the planning process. Hopefully it’s better once I get into the park and have my FP’s loaded.
App had tech issues

The worst app for a major company ever
by Nuclear meltdown on 2019/12/04 02:56
I am rating this 1 star because it doesn’t give me the option of giving it less. We have tried to use this app with 2 families going together and all the information is going to the wrong person. I cannot see my tickets on my account, but I can see only my daughter-in-law’s but not my son’s or granddaughters’ tickets. We have tried to figure this out but have been unable. We are college educated so we are not stupid but still cannot understand it. We have talked to some people but got shuttled from one person to the next. We will have to call again to talk to a real person again to see if it can be straightened out at all before we arrive and find out our rooms and or tickets do not exist. The end result remains to be seen.

by Maurswe on 2019/12/03 02:57
I’ve been avoiding WDW because it now takes too much time to navigate the app. I also dislike planning every minute of my vacation along with every meal! I’m on VACATION! It has become more stressful than going to work.
Needs some fixes
by Rtm1569 on 2019/12/03 01:07
Often when I use it it stalls or closes on its own or tells me “something is wrong” directing me to try again later.

by JKanton on 2019/12/02 19:48
The app works well when to provide the information and extras you need at any of the Disney parks, but it does take some effort to figure out how everything works.

by hdhdyrhdh on 2019/12/02 18:18

by HonestasIcan on 2019/12/02 16:24

Disney app is bad.
by MJB2529 on 2019/12/02 14:18
Your app does not work. I do not recommend this app. I tried over 10 times to put in a ticket and it would not input the code. Disney makes magical experiences difficult. I used to enjoy coming to Disney. Now it is just to much of a bother. Just another reason I am no longer a annual pass holder.
Works....sometimes
by Drlog 9998 on 2019/12/02 05:16
The app has great ideas. But it’s too glitchy. Frequently crashes, and linking to other party members is a circus. Disney more or less forces you to get the app for the parks, and it marginally fulfills it’s purpose.
Needs better performance
by NateWeezy on 2019/12/02 04:01
The features and functionality provided in the app are great. However it is extremely slow and not reliable. It constantly needs to be reloaded or refreshed in order to find any information

My plan
by Rob zom on 2019/12/01 01:44
Hello, it is very hard to see when accounts are connected who is doing what fast pass or registration. It would be cool to show the character of each person while in the summary plan view. It is also difficult to navigate when you click an event and press the back button and the screen starts you at the top of the my plan page. May be good to have the user go back to where they were.

Current Fast Pass System Abuses “Stand By” Guests
by NotFun2019 on 2019/12/01 00:20
There should be a warning that if you buy tickets at the last minute you will not have the opportunity to enjoy the park. Waiting in line for a ride like Space Mountain is ridiculous. You watch fast pass users cruise by non stop while you are at an absolute stand still, and when you finally see the ride you see empty seat after empty seat...Why? Why does this ride still exist if your staff can only fill four of six seats half the time? Cherry on top of the sundae? Getting in line for Space Mountain and having the line take so long that you miss the one fast pass that you were able to get for the day. This is not fun.

They made negative changes to the app
by Ninjatgiff on 2019/11/30 03:38
The new app changes are terrible and prompted my 1 star review. The biggest issue here is the fast pass. It used to be if I wanted to modify the time on one of my rides, I could see other available times for the ride, as well as times for other rides. This was convenient because sometimes I would find a fast pass for a ride that I may not have intended to ride, but it was available sooner. Now with the awful changes that I really hope they fix, if you want to modify the fast pass time of a ride, you can only see the times for that particular ride. If none are available, you get a blank screen saying it is no longer available. You cannot see any other ride fast pass availability when you go to modify time. You can only see other ride fast passes if you go to modify the ride. Very inconvenient, and someone in the tech department really messed up on this one. I’ll keep the review to 1 star until it is reverted to how it used to be. Terrible job Disney.

Problems
by Proptok on 2019/11/29 18:35
First people should be stopped from using aerosols as sun screen because people including are selves are allergic. It can be deadly. Other people don’t even realize what they are doing, but Disney should know. My mom was hit in the arm are trying to go through the handicap at Little Mermaid. The guy just swung his kid around. She is 73. If you need to have more employees present to keep the elderly safe and keep others from causing harm Disney should do that. David Roccato
Thanksgiving Weekend
by Chacha131 on 2019/11/29 18:04
My typing is not visible to me. This is the third time I’m trying to submit a comment. One worker was rude to me while I was attempting to charge my daughter’s tablet. The lines are so long this weekend that I really need that. She really should have told me that there are charging stations in the park and their locations. It isn’t readily evident where they are and there aren’t that many of them. Yes, I have a portable charger but left it back at the hotel. I’m traveling solo with a five year old so excuse me if my brain gets scattered. Other than that it’s been a great experience.

DVC members. Brought and paid for friends to come, they’ve never been. We had a horrible time with the app... couldn’t link us. Were not stupid, that thing just isn’t user friendly and your help doesn’t understand it either.... had a waitress charge my band for everyone’s dinner the first night. Went to Palidisio 37 for dinner Thanksgiving night, who announced that they weren't accepting Disney Dining on Thanksgiving (never would have bought it had we known that). Never brought it up when we made reservations. We have reservations each night the remainder of our trip, wondering what other surprises you have in store for us. As it is now, unless we eat dinner twice on one of our days we’re out of luck. It’s been real JV here this week. They have been looking forward to the log flume ride for 6 mos. by the time we figured it out we were out of luck tomorrow for our day a Magic Kingdom. I now feel I’ve got enough points.... and there is no chance they will join. Really, we went to a local red neck theme/water park in Maine this summer and starting to feel like the experiences are getting closer together. Bruce
Just Ok

I keep getting thrown out of the app then it tells me that the password to get back in is incorrect so I have to keep changing it through my email. Very inconvenient
AMAZING!! But I have some requests!
by NewSassySarah on 2018/07/28 20:27
Hello! This app is amazing, you don’t have to use a physical map where you get confused or anything, and you can track your resort room and use the cool watches the let you pass through. But I have some advice for additions to the app. First off, can you please add more mobile pick up to restaurants? It is very convenient and helps many who are rushing to get their food easily. Another thing is I think you should improve the map a bit. When you move it’s frozen until you reach a point and keeps going. I know it doesn’t seem bothersome, but when you are trying to go somewhere and it’s frozen and you forget a turn, it gets frustrating. Another thing are the photos. When I’m looking to book and attraction (fast pass) or just looking at it, I want more photos so I can see what it’s like and more of a description. Finally I think you should put more merchandise or different merchandise in different shops. Most shops have mostly the same stuff, so nobody even bothers to enter because the last few shops were the same. Please take my advice to improve the app, and the Park. Thank you!!!
Crashes constantly
by 34ahdh on 2019/02/06 13:54
I hate this app. It constantly crashes. It’s supposed to work with magic bands, reservations, fast passes, pictures, etc. the problem is it constantly has issues. It tries to log in EVERY TIME. And you’re using it at least 30 times a day to keep track of everything or figure out where you’re going. I have the worst time getting pictures to link with others in my party. Or trying to see wait times or where dining options are nearby. In theory it should bring all this up but in reality you stand around either waiting for it to load or closing the app out for for the 5th or 6th time while you wait for it to just come up at all. And I have a current phone with current iOS so don’t use the excuse I have older generation hardware. This app seriously put a damper on our trip because you have to use it for EVERYTHING. To add to it because the app doesn’t work well it slows down traffic in the park. People are constantly looking at their phones and trying to get the app to work. Whole families slow down in the middle of the park and then have to pull off to the side while they wait for fast pass times and schedules to load. Seriously Disney? You can’t figure this one out? You make mechanical dragons breathe fire during a parade, seems like you could take a little time and make an app that is CRITICAL to the park experience at least function 80% of the time. Call Apple or Microsoft. I’m sure they have an engineer who can help you.
Necessary Evil
by MikeL200 on 2018/06/03 12:37
It's annoying to have to book a rides daily for a week a month (or two) in advance of our trip, more annoying dealing with the constraints of being there for 3 weeks and coordinating with friends/family coming & going in that period. This app adds insult to injury since it often crashes, lists bad/outdated data, and requires repeatedly scrolling to the day you're interested in. I've had to redo plans multiple times to adapt to available rides and accommodate friends/family who don't yet understand how mandatorily it is to know exactly what park and ride they're going to be at 30 days in advance at 7am. Often the app lists the old fast passes plus new ones, sometimes with the correct # of people and sometimes not. Clicking on old/canceled ones results in an error. I then have to scroll all the way back down to the day/time I was viewing in the my plans screen to continue where I left off (that happens even if no error, when returning to the list after viewing a fast pass or mean reservation- be annoying it doesn't remember where I was). I've found the only way to clear old data is reinstall the app, and I've done that many times on my iPhone, my work iPhone, and my iPad while planning this trip. I can't wait till my vacation comes and goes so I can delete this app for good on all my devices! This needs to be better Disney! My advice is to use the website - it's got it's own errors and drawbacks, but works less badly than he app.
Horrible App
by globetraveler2 on 2018/12/25 16:49
There are very little things in regards to Disney that I could ever see something wrong with, but that was before using this app. I am shocked Disney pushes this app onto visitors. I was told I HAD to have this app to make dining reservations, special event packages, buying tickets, and the memory maker. It was a bold face lie. I bought my family’s tickets to Epcot via the app-stood in the security line, got up to get in the park and was told I had to buy tickets at another gate! I had to go to a completely different line, buy tickets in person, get a ‘card’ then get back in line to go inside of the park. Another problem I think is horrible with the app is their dining reservation tab. First you can’t search for a restaurant or even by park, only by meal time. Most importantly and annoyingly though was the reservations are useless. I couldn’t get a reservation on Christmas Eve to a restaurant in Disney Springs, well my family and I were getting hungry about 7pm and decided to walk around to that restaurant just to see what the wait would be—-absolutely no wait at all! The app tricks you to think that if the restaurant doesn’t have reservations then you can’t get a table but it isn’t the case! The mobile ordering didn’t work on our entire trip. And every single time I opened the app I had to re-sign in. I expect better of Disney and I don’t like being lied to. The only reason you have to have the app is for Memory Maker. Do not use this app.
A MUST for a stress free Disney vacation
by ARUSSE52 on 2019/04/27 18:01
I love the My Disney experience app. It is a MUST for a stress free Disney vacation. Do you hate waiting in lines... yes, duh! The ability to book fast passes and change them easily, check wait times, and plan your day in the park is the best! I would say sometimes when booking fast passes for a large group it will glitch and only show it’s booked for 1 person, but in reality it has everyone on the system. Only once when I changed to a fast pass did it not sync but the cast members were very helpful. I like standing in line picking the next ride for my family, it makes visiting the parks effortless. Waiting in line to eat... Not about that life... I like ordering food in the app and just skipping past the queue for my food. When character hunting this app is a the best map! I’ve been able to see when hard to find characters are out in the parks and their exact location. Recently, I have been using it to open my resort door which is nice. I also use it to show my annual pass to get the discount on merchandise or food. Again my only complaint is sometimes it is a bit glitchy and I have to re-start the app multiple times. Overall 4/5 stars for making my Disney vacations stress free and magical with my family!
One Time Situation
by Switch Tha Weirdoo on 2018/09/19 17:35
Now, normally I’d give this app a 5 star. I’ve had it for years and have been using it in every trip to any Disney Park I’ve been to. UNFORTUNATELY, however, this trip that I’m currently on while I write this review seems to be a little different. This time around the app seems to have gotten VERY slow and buggy, contrary to recent years. Every time I try to check times on Fast Passes, check the times of a restaurant or peek at the map to make sure we know where we’re going, the app takes longer than convenience would want. I even manage to make it to my destination every once in a while before the app manages to finish booting up. Fun stuff. Bugs and lagging aside, I don’t want this review to be seen as something of a “Do Not Download.” This app is EXTREMELY useful and if it ends up running smooth for you, it’s a MUST DOWNLOAD in any of the Walt Disney Parks. Between Fast Pass reservations, to the maps, to the restaurant times and times/places to meet characters, the app will ABSOLUTELY make your trip a neater, easier and more enjoyable trip. As the title hinted, this review is based off a one time situation. Disney normally never fails to deliver and I hope they fix these bugs so I can get back to praising them for their awesome delivery of service and experiences for guests of all ages!
Love the Mouse...just not the app
by Tlbanks on 2019/01/27 12:15
The My Disney Experience app is definitely the tool you need when visiting Disney parks. As advertised you can access your reservations, fast passes, see wait times, etc. However, the app is incredibly painful to use. It frequently logs you out and when you try to log back in to view your plans again it will freeze or be unable to load anything. It’s also incredibly slow to use in the parks, which may be Disney’s WiFi in general and while it’s nice and free you certainly aren’t getting the speeds you’re probably used to at home. It seemed that on very busy days at the park, the app was even worse than normal, presumably due to high volumes of users. I would love to see an app where, 1. I don’t have to log in every time I open the app, 2. It reliably opens my plans and allows me to edit them quickly without slow wait times. I did enjoy the mobile ordering feature for a couple of quick service meals and it did process our meal plans correctly. My family and friends is not a feature that’s easy to use, and actually had to go to our concierge to fix it because only half of our planned fast passes were showing up correctly. For now, it’s a necessary evil but I would love to see some dramatic improvements before my next Disney trip!
Park tickets
by amanda saso on 2018/01/01 16:49
We too love Disney and spend every new year holiday with them. Why in God’s name can the resort not get your park tickets linked to your magic band??? Going to customer service at the park is horrible!!! A little bit on my magical experience dies when the resort staff says they do not have that ability. Why????? Also, the new hall of presidents is horrible! New voice (I miss Morgan Freeman) and new theme. I’m sure it’s to prevent the audience from booing our current president but it’s still just not the same. Your staff that works before the fireworks are exhausted I’m sure but still quite rude. ( both feet have to be inside the white line! ) we were not allowed to be in one section because it was full and moved across then 30 minutes before the show, it was packed with more people than before. Even not during the holiday season the staff has lost something. 10 years ago they were awesome and fun. Now they’re hurried teenagers pushing you to “get out of the way” and talking over you when you’re asking a question. I hope they can get it back one day.
Waiting to be impressed.
by Beezer80 on 2017/10/20 17:02
We are disney fanatics. We have enjoyed the many visits to Disneyland and California Adventure and have always been blown away by their customer service. This is far superior than what our experience has been so far at Disney World. The resort rooms are not worth the money at all for the lower budget rooms. They are CRAZY small and ours was not clean to the Disney standard. We were recently traumatized by the Northern CA fires and we couldn't get our mail as planned due to significant delays. Some was Disney attire (costumes and such). I called the resort and asked if they would accept a package. They were so gracious about it. Come to find out Disney is CHARGING us a handling fee. Never mentioned that and it's like we are being punished for having having fire wreak havoc on our beautiful county. We ate at Art of Animation and it was disgusting. Best of all- they lost our stroller. We never received it from the Magical Express and they blame our airline, Virgin America. I checked it in. I watched them load it on the airplane. We are at the parks with no stroller. It was a simple umbrella one but our 5 year old gets tired. So now we have to PAY to rent one each day. I'm shocked Disney. I expected more from you and hoping to make the next few days magical...just waiting for that to happen.
Yikes
by AriLikesUnicorns on 2019/02/21 16:29
So, i have a few complaints. First, the whole system with linking your family and friends so you can fastpass together is so unnecessarily confusing. None of us could figure out if we needed our ticket numbers, and when i put it in for my friend it linked to my account and had to call disney to fix it (i was also on hold for 30 mins but that’s a different story). After you link your friends, they randomly linked some of my friends, but not others, and only one of the tickets would link after that. Within ten minutes, i finally was forced to exclude two of my friends, the avatar ride was completely booked. Secondly, this app can’t even function on its own. If any other app is open, this app simply will not work, which is very inconvenient if you’re plugging in a number from your camera roll. The app frequently glitches not only for me, but for almost everyone else in my group as well. When everything surrounding your vacation is depending on the performance of this app, and the app doesn’t function, it makes us very stressed. And we’re high schoolers who are coming for marching band, so we’re already stressed about a million other things. Overall, it’s great when it works, but that’s not very often.
Very helpful app but Adding Guests for Planning needs better explanation
by ugdfdgisewsgh on 2019/06/07 15:44
After spending an hour on the phone with support to clear up the mess made by some very excited adults in our party, I was told that it’s actually very common for duplicates and triplicates of people to be made and shared in the family and friend lists when people start connecting; leading to tickets being assigned to the wrong place, etc. My simple idea to fix this would be to change the wording under “How will you add this Guest?” It should say “Find through a Connection’s Party” or “Add a Managed Guest (recommended for small children and other dependents that will not have an individual Disney Account)” or “Invite this Guest to Connect by Email (recommended for teens and adults).” Those last two options should THEN open the menu to add biographic information. Once this information is input, the app should check for duplicates within the parties of connected guests and give a warning that “You only need to Connect with the Adult who manages this Guest, not the person individually.” This would prevent a deluge of emails with different invitations as well as prevent duplicates!
Sometimes progress isn't a good thing
by GSpiff on 2018/02/27 03:16
This app has been one of the biggest downfalls of a Disney vacation since it was introduced and it continues to get worse. Currently, you have to log in every single time you want to use the app, which when you're on a vacation that relies very much on this app, it becomes tiresome and frustrating. "Sorry kids, hang on, daddy has to enter his password for the 50th time to figure out where our next Fastpasses are for again." Kids live sitting in the 90 degree heat for that. Oh yeah, there's a nice Touch ID box that looks great and does nothing. But, this is all assuming your tickets link to the app in the first place. Two times on one trip we sat with 4 kids at a window while cast members had to fix errors with our tickets not linking correctly. Want to eat somewhere? Figure it out ahead of time. Not one single menu at any restaurant on property loads in this app. Use the handy order ahead feature? Sounds awesome, won't load anywhere on property. Things were not broken when Disney didn't rely on MagicBands and Fastpass Pluses. Now that your entire vacation will revolve around an app that is so riddled with bugs that it lacks basic functionality, be prepared to feel completely robbed of your hard earned money after your next trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth.

While I understand your dismay as well as concern, I believe that it was improper to rate the my Disney experience app so poorly. There are wait times and photo-pass options right handy whenever you need them, and yes the app logs in every-time you use it, but only to prevent theft and improper activities. I am a huge fan of Disney, I have visited many times with my family and I enjoy it very much, many times the my Disney experience app has helped us to plan our meals and fast passes, and gotten us out of trouble planning and prepping, we know where to go and where to be, when we want to be there. As a long time Disney lover, I suggest that you take your concerns and badmouthing elsewhere, because the designers of this app have work to do, keeping many families’ schedules and vacations happy and magical. I don’t mean to cause trouble, but just as you came out and expressed your discrepancies to the people who try so hard to help you, I decided to express my discrepancies with an ungrateful user. Thank you!
Great app just needs some bug fixes
by Agentmg17 on 2019/02/03 16:01
So the original review is down below but I want to add that the app has been crashing more and has been insanely slow! I went to epcot last week and I could not even open the app once to check my fastpass times because of the crashing so I just went through google chrome. I would say making this issue a top priority I love this app it’s pretty easy to figure out and it’s great whether your planning a vacation or you have an annual pass and are able to go often. I live a couple hours from Disney and it’s nice to be able to plan even the day of and get some fastpasses, dining reservations, and check wait times or times of parades. The only thing is the app does crash way too much. I was about to get a fastpass for 7 dwarves minetrain and boom it crashed on me. Super disappointed since that’s such a hard pass to get. Not a huge deal for me since I have the ability to go often but I know this would be upsetting for someone that is planning a trip and has to travel a long distance. I agree a fastpass notification would be great, the app being faster and not crashing would be the best thing though
Cumbersome & an energy hound
by Cooking Organist on 2019/02/02 21:52
I downloaded My Disney Experience for a one-day visit back to WDW. In the rare cases in which logging in was actually successful, it took a long time and used many % of my battery’s charge. Usually, logging in failed, and I had to force the app to quit, having accomplished nothing but draining more juice from my battery, already a precious commodity on a busy Disney day, when recharging is difficult to arrange. In addition to the app’s own problems, I have a bigger criticism: Disney has taken all the joy of spontaneity out of a theme park visit. Everything has to be booked weeks in advance or the Guest is assured a day full of long lines, missed opportunities, limited dining options, and general disappointment. Standing in long lines was never fun, but having to plan a day at WDW like a military advance on an enemy nation is no improvement. It’s a shame that Guests who might want to let inspiration and surprise be a part of their day are likely instead to feel deprived of not just some but all of the resort’s highlights, and as if both their time and money was wasted. FastPass+ is a real joy-killer.
Good app but could use some improvements
by Plinkybtch on 2018/08/02 16:37
Works really well to book your fast passes and dinner reservations. Canceling and changing fast passes is a little buggy in the app. For example if you try to cancel a fast pass you might get a spinning wheel of death and you force quit the app. When you go back into it, it will say you still have that FastPass but at some point it will cancel but it might take hours later and could mess up your plans. The biggest improvement would be to offer a Watch App where it could give you notifications of upcoming FastPasses or dinner reservations, with walking directions as an option. The dinner reservations are really slow. The wheel just spins when you try to go back to see a different restaurant. Would be nice if there was an option to pick a restaurant and see all the available days and hours for your selected time period. Instead you have to look by Day and time and then see which restaurants have availability so it takes a long time if you’re looking for a specific restaurant’s open reservations.
Polite Pig
by Nic at polit Pig on 2019/02/18 01:15
My family and I were looking for a quick service gluten free restaurant. We inquired at the polite pig and learned that there were some gluten-free options for my wife, she has celiac disease. After ordering we sat down and were quickly served our drinks. Our food, however, was nowhere to be found. As we had flown in from Ny earlier we were quite ravenous. Our patience was wearing thin. Nicolette, the manager, came to the rescue. After being informed that we were waiting by a server she assured us that she would take care of us. She asked for our receipt, apparently our order never made it from the cashier’s machine to the kitchen. With compassion and care Nicolette assured us that we would have our order in just a moment and we would be receiving a complimentary dessert. Our food arrived seconds later and we were gratefully enjoying our meal when she asked if there was anything else she could do for us. We were so appreciative and thankful for her kind and caring service.
More Issues
by StrbkAddict on 2018/06/19 17:01
This App would be amazing IF it worked as designed (minus all the bugs). The newest version may fix existing problems but it also created new ones. As soon as I updated the app my existing (previously linked) Disney Resort Reservation was deleted and I was unable to re-link it to My Disney Experience account through the app. This meant that I was unable to make fast pass + reservations for my trip (which is still more than 30+ days out). While sitting on hold for technical support for 20+ minutes I went on the computer and was able to re-link it there. However it still isn’t showing up on the app. This app has a lot of potential if it actually worked; however, instead of enhancing my “Disney Experience” it has been a source of annoyance, frustration, and wasted time. IMO Disney needs to allocate more of its resources, in order to bring this up to the standard that I have come to expect from this company and its subsidiaries. That’s why people are willing to spend thousands of dollars to visit Disney Parks; believe me it isn’t because the food is great, the weather perfect, or the lines short.
Crashes often, frequent errors, very slow, burns battery
by 1974B.C. on 2019/05/07 15:31
With the app exception of the insane battery drain, It looks like many of the problems with this app are server side errors. The server errors manifest in the user interface as being super slow at times, popping error messages to tell you to “try again” and outright crashes. The app burned through 40% of my battery on a new iPhone XS Max in an hour of use trying to plan our trip. Battery on my iPhone usually lasts 1.5 days. Disney can do much better. Their app experience should be as good as their cast member customer service in the parks. Also, Max Pass at Disneyland is WAY WAY WAY better than FastPass Plus at Disney World. Getting secondhand shot at fast passes to resort hotel guests is bad enough. The resort guests already get “extra magic hours”, they don’t also need first shot at fast passes 60 days out. But worse, you can’t get more fast passes until you use ALL THREE. So if you want to go to an evening fireworks show you get only three fast passes for the whole day and the resort guests take all the early fast pass times so they can re-up midday for their extra magic hours in the evening while you get to wait in line. Disney World has much to learn from Disneyland.
A lot of promise...
by DealPickle on 2019/01/22 03:36
Disney does a lot of things very well; making apps isn’t one of them. This app is so unstable. It crashes all the time, repeatedly. It shut down on me four times in a row today at the park, three times. It continually “signs me in” and then freezes on that screen. I have to close the app, restart it, it finally gets through the sign in (again) only to freeze on the home screen and you can’t tap the map to get to the wait times. So you have to close it again and typically, the third time is the charm. Even then, if I use another app then go back to the Disney app, it will try to sign me in again. That’s just not how this is supposed to work. 🤦🏻‍♀️ It doesn’t need to sign me in every time I touch the app. Just leave me signed in. Please??? 🙏🏼🙏🏼 I do LOVE this app when it WORKS, however infrequent that may be. The capability loaded into it is exactly what a good app should have but it’s all for naught when it’s so unstable. Every time I see an update in the App Store I just shake my head bc I know it will fix one bug and introduce 10 more. Please, please make this the magical app it has the potential to be.
Room to room
by AWSOME!!:) on 2019/02/07 06:11
We were on our way from airport to our hotel at Pop Century and received a call that we were awarded an upgrade to the Art of Animation. Were told our room was bigger and would have a two bedrooms one with a king and one queen. With it almost being midnight after along travel day we were ready to settle. Once we got to room we discovered it was a wheelchair accessible room and not accommodating to what we were to have at Pop Century. Room was also very dirty. After a very long phone call to front desk, by now 12:30am, manager said they didn’t have any rooms like that in inventory and didn’t know why we were told that. We did get moved again to another room. Still not what we were told we were getting from having to be moved from Pop. We have had our reservations for almost 7 weeks and still don’t understand why we were moved. On top of all of this, as I write this review our room is at the end of the hall and I can hear every individual going in and out and every conversation going on. Disney is and can do much better than this. We are very frequent visitors and our experience has been anything but acceptable for the first three hours.
Great ideas, terrible execution
by VandelayNJ on 2018/11/10 21:02
I love the ideas behind the app and believe the data foundation supporting it is incredibly usable. But the app is screwed ip beyond belief. Highly unintuitive, unstable, and generally not well tested. Points lost in every facet: design, development, and testing. Any navigation more than a click from the home screen requires a search on the web to figure out. Want to cancel a fastpass reservation for a part of your group? Sure! Modify the fastpass, select the people you want to cancel for, select something else to fastpass for them, then go back and cancel THAT one. And here I thought it was a simple use case. Want to make a restaurant reservation while I. Epcot? Too bad. You have to scroll through every restaurant in every property because there’s no way to filter by location. There are crashes multiple times per day. Getting logged out multiple times per day. And the time it canceled all my fastpasses without me clicking submit for something else - it happened but I can’t retrace my steps. Regardless, how it could cancel ALL fastpasses in one step is beyond me. But you are held captive because it’s the only option. So much potential with all the data stored by Disney and they screwed it up with a terrible UI.
5 Stars is all it will allow me!!

Never in a million years would I have thought this would be the vacation of a lifetime but I couldn’t have been more wrong. Forget the beach or the mountains , this is the only place to vacation !!! They make sure you are taken care of at all points of the resorts , parks , etc. I can’t believed I’ve waited this long to finally come here with my family!! We will become DVC (Disney Vacation Members) Members after this trip and will be coming here every year from this point forward!! Kids loved it but I think we (parents) loved even more!! It’s a must and highly recommend you vacation!! Couple things to point out , Set everything up before you leave ( Disney Agent) , use the free provided transportation system ( Don’t try to drive!!) and most importantly setup fast park passes as you go and continue to refresh the app over and over til you get the fast pass you want ( You will see what I mean when you do this!!) Good Luck!!! 5 Stars!!!!
New app revision USELESS!
by Toney1234 on 2018/10/13 12:58
Have been unable to get anything accomplished with my Disney experience iOS app. Not at home in Lakeland, not actually inside Epcot on the 8th of October nor since. It occasionally allows me to look at available reservations for dining, offers me a choice of times and then when clicked, the “working” circle just circles. I tried the passholder phone line and gave up after being on hold for 45 minutes and ZERO information about hold times. Just kept trying to get me to purchase non passholder events. I gave up. Finally got a dinner reservation (which is not what I wanted!) on my laptop. That also took forever. Today I tried again via the app to find a lunch time to modify the previous reservation. It again offered me 2pm until I hit the select button. And nothing happened. I ended up calling the passholder line again and with the help of a great cm, were unable to find anything between 12-2pm. So she made us 2 separate reservations. I get that it was a work around, but I am disgusted with the new version of your Disney experience. Will not use it again. There are pages of complaints on the various Disney forums, so I’m not the only one. FYI, I’ve rebooted, deleted and reloaded this app. Garbage.
Use it throughout the year
by BluAbyss on 2018/03/12 01:10
I really like this app! I used it when we visited last year and it came in handy to see which rides had the shortest wait time which helped plan where we would go throughout the day. It was especially helpful because my friend has some leg pain that was flaring up that made standing in line hard. We’ve made reservations on this app as well. I’ve used it throughout the year between our last trip and our upcoming one to schedule advanced dinner reservations and fastpass+ slots. It’s also allowed me to better study the map of each park and see what places I want to go to before even making it down to Florida. The only thing I wish is that it become Watch compatible for things such as fastpass+ times coming up or dinner reservations so we can hightail it over there without having to pull my phone out of a pocket or bag.
Very nice app, a few suggestions
by briantrx on 2019/06/04 12:19
Very good app. It was easy to use and had the majority of features and functionality I was expecting. The mapping and filtering functionality is great, as is the mobile ordering. Fast pass booking felt a bit flaky, as you can attempt to schedule, see nothing available or only extremely late times, refresh and have a completely separate list. Selecting a specific time in the filter would also provide booking times that were not previously available based on the general ‘afternoon’ or ‘evening’ filters. A few things I felt would increase the overall UX: 1. Clicking on details for a ride or attraction wait time could show trends, up or down. For instance, there were times I may have chosen to walk to a ride if I knew the wait times were falling based on the previous update, or previous time frame. Or I may have avoided a ride altogether if I saw the wait times trending upward. This would give guests a better idea of the lulls in the day and help us make more informed decisions of what to ride and when. 2. Push notifications for when fast pass times approach, similar to mobile ordering push. This could even be time based, as you know our location to the park, and how long it will take us to walk from our current location to the next fast pass. This could also offer an option for directions (preferably linked to Apple Watch), as it’s easy to get turned around in some of the parks. Overall really good job though, keep up the awesome work!
How can it be this bad!? Only gets worse.
by Djmhc on 2018/09/25 03:16
It is shocking how a company the size of Disney can knowingly have such a terrible piece of technology and be okay with it. 4 years ago we went to Disney and everyone...EVERYONE...employed by Disney hung their heads in shame when the app was even mentioned. If I had a dollar for every time I heard a “cast member” apologize for the performance of the app...my trip would have been only moderate overpriced instead of insanely overpriced - which Disney is (and continues to raise fees, ticket prices, accommodations, etc. yearly). Fast forward 4 years and somehow the app is even worse. We’ve been trying to link our reservations for 8 months! Forget calling because the wait is over 90 mins and you’ll just get the runaround and get transferred and wait another hour and a half only to get transferred back again. Customer service is so bad I don’t know if I should cry or laugh. Needless to say, this is our last trip to Disney without question and that’s o it because we have no refundable flights. This app should be pulled until they can completely scrap it and start over. If Walt saw what was happening in his parks and what people had to spend, he would roll over in his grave.
App
by b******st on 2019/08/24 20:14
People, like myself, who are not familiar with Disney World, the app is hard to navigate through. Ex: when I look up a ride or restaurant somewhat suggests all it gives me is info about it, without the option to book a reservation. It’s confusing to then have to go to another place on the app to add a reservation that makes u put a time and then gives u a list of all restaurants that are available. Sometimes the one you are looking for is on the list sometimes it’s not. There should be a way to search for something and then click on add a reservation and show you the time slot available for the day you are choosing. It would be more than awesome if there was an itinerary of your day to day with available times that u have open to book more things. The constant going back n forth to book reservations and do fast passes is confusing and annoying. Some features are nice like being able to check in and set up your pick up and drop to the airport. In all it’s a decent starter set up for an app, but definitely needs some tweaking and updating.
Very helpful, but...

It is a great app if you constantly go to Disney world and Disneyland. It can help you easily book fast passes, and give you offers for fun events. It shows you wait time for rides, attractions and shows. It can even give directions from one ride to another. Overall, it is a great app that can help you plan your adventure. On the other side though, when you are looking at the map that shows wait times and where parks are located, it dosn’t always show up. The screen will either kick you out back to the app’s home screen or will load slowly or will go light brown. Sometimes, when you press on the app the castle will appear like normal then will kick you out of the app. This even happens when your connected to internet ad have WiFi. It can be a little slow. I would say this is a great app if your willing to pay the sacrifice for it to load. It can be really helpful and I know me and my family use the Disneyland one all the time and it is pretty similar to this app. If you are new to this park or not new at all it can be used to your advantage.
Would love a fastpass notification option!
by Rhiix on 2017/08/29 17:28
Overall the app is really useful. And I rather have it than not. So I'm glad it exists, considering what it was like back in the day. With that said, it'd be awesome if the app gave you notifications when fastpasses were about to start (maybe a "your fastpass starts in one hour" with the time for the fastpass also provided), so that way you don't have to open up the app and go through several screens just to check real quick. Even have a setting when you can toggle how often you want the reminder (1 hr, 3 hr, no notif, etc.) Disney started doing the notifications for photopass which is all well and good. But please do fastpass. That'd be so much more useful. Also an idea: have a setting to change the order for how rides are listed in the wait time screen (alphabetically, maybe favorites first, even a separate tab to look just at favorites alone or something?) Something to organize through all the results that show up, even the ones you don't care about.
A Formerly Great App is Now Worthless
by L.B.K. on 2019/01/27 01:44
Since the most recent update, the MDE app had become worthless. It won’t open. The little circle just keeps turning and nothing happens. We are in WDW right now and I went to check my fast pass times because I wasn’t sure. Should be simple. Nope. I was on Disney’s WiFi. When it wouldn’t open after 2 minutes, I switched to LTE. Still nothing. Sometimes — rarely — it will open and I can check something, but that’s the exception. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Twice. Same problem. I logged into the website on my iPhone browser (Safari) and about half the time it will load and then switch me to the app. The other half, the little circle turns and turns. Luckily I printed all the plans before we left and I kept a PDF file of them on my phone in iBooks and am checking that now and forgetting about the app. Of course, that doesn’t help if I need to rebook a dinner or a fast pass. Today it took me 25 minutes to rebook a fast pass before we left for the parks. PLEASE FIX THE APP. OH, I forgot. The app on my iPad won’t open at all now — not even that 5% of the time. All I see is the blue WDW screen for a minute and then it crashes.
Worse Than it Used to Be
by Hotelier Heart on 2017/08/31 16:49
They did a major overhaul of how the app looks and navigates a while back and made it completely confusing in the process. I had little to no trouble before the update and now it takes longer to do anything because it's so difficult to find/do what you're looking for. And I'm a local/frequent user of the app! I can only imagine how frustrating it must be to visitors. It works and all, but only gets a passing rating from me. I'd rather use the full website when possible. It's much easier and has options I use that aren't integrated on the app. Is there no way to view menus unless you've got a reservation available? That's annoying! What if I just want to view the menu regardless of whether there's a table available? I can't find that feature. It's on the website! The app also lacks the favorites option from the MDX website which I utilize to prioritize restaurants I've never been to before. Should be on the app! Come on, people. Integrate features that already exist before you add new stuff. <_<

As a consumer that eats, sleeps, and breathes Disney, they continue to fail my needs when it comes to this particular application. Once upon a time, I would have given this app a much higher rating, but as the changes keep flooding in, the ease and reliability of this app continues to descend. As an example, I am a Florida resident that always visits the park, yet every time I’ve wanted to make any kind of dining reservation or modification over the past year, it would result in a phone call to the company because the app simply would never process my requests. On another note, I am also a Human Factors Psychologist and I constantly experience excessive flaws in the user experience. There is an abundance of tasks and information that can be found on this app, but it takes an army to book a simple FastPass. Finally, and this may be an issue unrelated to the application, their Disability Access Service has been very unreliable lately. Return times constantly vanish from the app and Cast Members continually send me back to Guest Relations to solve an unsolvable problem. DAS integration into the app is a must and and is extremely simple (trust me, I’ve made a prototype, and it’s not hard).
Good concept. Poor application. Still a Must Have app.
by bigfishhacker on 2019/01/31 02:00
This app is not “show time ready”. A surprise for Disney. App constantly crashes, has long load times, and login issues. Trying to manage a group requires you to be tech savvy enough to navigate the poor layout and understand the many odd nuances. That being said, it is a “must have” app for handling fast passes. Heading in the right direction: 1. Ability to preorder food - Great feature. However, we had a tough time finding an order that was created and paid for so we could mark it as “we are here..make the food”. Again the app layout needs some work. 2. Fast Passes - when attempting to change a fast pass, sometimes it would only pull up one individual, and other times the whole group. Also saw a glitch where when one of our kids only scanned their fast pass at the front gate and not at the end gate, the app returned an error that prevented us from modifying and other guests who were not able to use that fast pass.
Could be better
by Ablanche on 2018/04/19 14:36
Although I enjoy having the information Disney provides in their app, there is room for improvement. It would be nice if you didn’t have to constantly filter the parks, but the gps could auto locate you and auto filter by location. I also noticed that the universal app has a way to set alarms for wait times to alert you when a certain ride drops to a wait time you set. That would be a great add. Walking directions for the fastest route to your destination and/or fastest transportation route to a park or resort would be helpful as well as perhaps a bus locator to determine if a bus is close or not. I noticed at the Contemporary there was a monitor that could provide that info. Having it on the app at a person’s finger tips would be helpful to see if need to rush to bus stop or ok take your time or plan transpo to events/meals.
Great when it works
by louwhoVA on 2018/03/19 01:18
I would rate it higher if it wasn’t so frequently buggy. It made me sign in multiple times when I indicated a finger imprint would do. I had the wait times disappear while using the app. The park map froze up as well. Yet when the app worked correctly, it was great. I very much liked the mobile order option for food. For developers, I recommend they have the map automatically orient toward your view/direction for clarity and ease of use. I would also request emergency information be easy to find (such as the location of first aid stations and other assistance contact information and/or locations). We had to go for an emergency and were misdirected By cast members. We ended up using a paper map. I recommend users download the Shop Parks app to go with this one. I scanned desired items at shops. When items were available by mail, we could purchase via app and not be weighted down by purchases at the park or risk breakage or losing them on the flight home.
Expensive with NO perks
by BDNEW on 2018/11/19 16:23
The new fast pass system is unfair and has ruined our trip. A last minute opportunity to attend Disney meant we purchased our tickets the night before arriving at the park. With 3 teens of course the roller coaster/older children rides were most important. Absolutely no availability for anything. Wait times are ridiculous and we have no fast passes for anything my kids want to ride. At least with the old system, everyone had the same opportunity to obtain a fast pass THE SAME DAY YOU WERE AT THE PARK. Even with park hopers you could go get passes at multiple parks and spend the day at another to make the most of your time at several parks. Ticket prices should be reduced if fast passes are not available. We even went to grab a quick snack at the pretzel/churro booth only to have them run out of pretzels with the guy in front of us. 20-30 minutes before anymore would be available. Just infuriating. This place is too expensive to not think of everyone attending to include last minute ticket purchases. This will be our last trip here until something changes.
My Disappointing Experience
by enlaycock on 2018/12/04 14:00
Disney Parks have made this app indispensable as the main trip planning tool used in and out of the WDW resorts, however, prepare to have the Magic ruined by this slow, crash prone, cumbersome app. You can attempt to use this app to book your Fastpasses, dining reservations, view show times, mobile order quick service food, and quite a bit more. Unfortunately, none of those options are available if the app won’t load on your phone. Its slow load time is beyond aggravating on even the newest iPhone X, but the app absolutely useless on a 6s. Part of the problem seems to stem from Disney’s insistence of trying to stuff all their resort functions into a single app but not having the budget to develop software properly. With each additional “enhancement,” the app becomes more unstable. Until they learn to streamline their processes and fix the base software, stick to planning your trip on a desktop and print everything out before you leave home. You’ll find carrying a phonebook-sized stack of printouts much more useful than this awful experience.
No magic on this trip
by jshatts on 2019/03/19 09:03
Partly due to countless app crashes and bad information in the app, it just felt like we couldn’t win. I thought we had planned well and were prepared for this trip, but it was hard to feel the magic. We got park hopper passes and ended up spending 12 hours at magic kingdom alone to do 5 attractions/rides total in one day. If you don’t book fast passes well in advance, it’s difficult to get on any ride you really went there for. The only fast passes that *appeared* available were rides that had shorter wait times anyway. But then even when we went to book those, there was an error or the times weren’t available if we didn’t make a decision to select them in a second. As someone who saved for this trip for years, we ended up hemorrhaging thousands of dollars for rides we see at our local fair. I left feeling you really had to be in the “Disney know” or a die-hard to get what you should out of it. We may try to get the other day of park hopper passes we bought back and hang at the hotel, my daughter seems happier doing that anyway.
Great concept, lots of bugs
by tbelva13 on 2019/02/12 20:42
I love this app for the simplicity. It makes it easy to book fast passes, dining reservations, and see wait times. The park maps are great so I don’t have to carry a paper one that will inevitably get destroyed in the Florida rain. It’s really handy... when it works. I find that I am constantly having to log in. Not just when I open the app, but sometimes throughout the app itself. It will just stop and ask for my login. I usually have to open and close the app 3 or 4 times before it will load properly. I understand there are thousands of people using this app at a time, so glitches are going to happen. But Facebook works fine with millions of people on it. Disney has enough resources to make this app be what they actually want it to be. I’ve waited a few years before posting a review to give them time to update and tweak things. This is mediocre service and I’m disappointed that Disney has let it go on for this long.
Be our guest restaurant

My recent visit to Magic Kingdom was on December 26. We go often. My husband and I live in NJ and my daughter and family live in Tampa. She and her family are annual pass holders. We took our grandkids to the park for the day. We had dinner reservations at Be Our Guest. We have been there a few times before. However I was disappointed with this visit. I much rather have an a la cart menu. Did not like the prefix menu. My grandkids are 8 and 6 and not interested in a three course meal. Where one course is peach applesauce not even regular applesauce. Our server was excellent and my dinner was good but dinner for 2 adults and two children was a lot more than our last visit. I hope that you can change back to a la cart menu sometime soon. We are frequent visitors snd love Disney world. Your cast members are the best! Thank you Mary Jane
Horrible useless app
by Ken7scorpio on 2017/12/27 00:38
This app is extremely slow in response. We can not link our tickets while at the park for the entire time. Linking photos is a joke. The photos do not show up after 48 hours and the app says "It may take photos some time to appear after they are linked. Please check back periodically." I mean, are you kidding me? You have absolutely no idea when the photos will be available. What does it mean "some time"? Hours, days, weeks, months, years, decades? It took "some time" for us human being to evolve from apes. And I almost laughed at "check back periodically". So, thousands of your valued customers will spend hours of time check back periodically for a few photos weeks after they visited your park just because you have no clue how slow your app and your system are. Well done disney app developers! Guess what, I don't have a decade to waste to check back periodically and I'm deleting this app right now. I'd rate it zero star if that's an option since it gives me literally zero information. Oh wait, it wasted me quite some time instead.
Needs some improvements.

We have just finished our latest trip to Walt Disney world, and as always we did have fun and the people we amazing. But when it came to the app I found that it didn’t work as well as it did when I was home. I would try to use the bus times portion and it would say “link to reservation.” Which I have had linked since we got the confirmation number. Once I did get it to work I was confused about the estimated times. I had checked it at Disney spring and I wasn’t sure if it meant when it would arrive to me or at the resort. I would try to use it in parks for wait times and it seemed to lag a little, I am sure the park WiFi did have a bit to do with it as well. One thing my family wished it did cover was checking what you have left on the meal plans. Otherwise I do enjoy the app, it has made our trip less stressful since the app was launched, and we can’t wait to start planning our next trip!
Most frustrating app I’ve ever been forced to use.
by bartowjoy on 2019/02/16 11:13
I liked the idea of this app when I first started booking my vacation details, months before my trip. But unfortunately that is the only good thing I can say about this thing. This app constantly crashes, after you are able to login to it. I average 3 times of starting the app, logging on, it not doing anything, closing it out, and the starting all over before it will let me in to change reservations and fast passes. This is incredibly frustrating when you are in the parks and need some information or need to make changes that have time constraints. The fact that Disney makes you use this thing to plan a vacation that you are spending so much money on is pretty unbelievable. I eventually gave up on the app and just used the website. It stinks too, but at least it would let me logon and didn’t crash but a 1/4 of the time the app did. I hope by the time my family decides to do a Disney vacation again they either fix this system, or they just scrap it and make a whole new one.
Fast pass system
by Rhino0408 on 2018/03/12 20:39
They only let you choose 3 fast pass rides at first, then once you use one, you can add one more at a time. That sounds great and all, but there are many problems. First, there are so many people using this app, you can’t sign up for any rides within a reasonable amount of time. It will be at least 2-4 hours in the future. Once you sign up for one you are stuck with that time, so you must choose wisely. So using a 4th or 5th fast pass ride is unreasonable. Second issue, if you have a park hopper pass. This system is useless, you can only reserve one park at a time per day. Another issue, if you have multiple guests with you, better plan on signing up at different times, because these things fill up so fast! You can click save and then 30 seconds later, that time frame is gone. You can add your entire group, but then if your group is too large, you may not have many available times. The only way to truly use this app and enjoy is to plan weeks or months in advance, and even then, you are still restricted to 3 rides.
Main attraction rides are down.
by randywilson1981 on 2019/03/03 14:34
We got here on a Tuesday and things were smooth sailing. Wednesday we went to Magic Kingdom and had fast passes for the major rides however space mountain was down the entire day. Thursday we went to Hollywood Studios and go figure tower of terror is down all day. We went to Universal Studios Friday and Saturday and had no issues with any rides. Sunday took us to Epcot center and again a major attraction which we had an express pass for was down (space ship Earth) is down. Given the billions of dollars tourists spend and the ridiculous cost of things at the park one would think these issues would be few and far between but it appears Disney doesn’t care about the experience of people paying a lifetime of savings to attend a once in a lifetime opportunity. We contacted customer service and at this point they haven’t done anything to accommodate our constant disappointments! Very unsatisfied experience!!!
Resort room quality seems to be declining
by Riinaya on 2017/12/10 15:51
We visit this resort every year and have always been delighted. The rooms are clean and fresh and well attended however upon our arrival yesterday we were met with a 2nd floor room without elevator access. As a person who is not handicapped but has had breast cancer and back issues this was daunting. We had to drag heavy suitcases up the stairs. It would have been nice to know that there would be no elevator. After we entered the room we noticed that the carpet was stained not just in one area but throughout the room. The staff was accommodating and reassigned our family to a first floor room in another building but the quality is just not up to the Disney standard we have become accustomed to. Please keep in mind that we stay at Riverside almost every year. Just food for thought.
Could be more helpful
by Hi1234567891027 on 2018/07/05 20:13
The app is nice to have but certainly doesn’t meet my expectations of Disney. I haven’t found a way to check bus times except for “from your resort.” This is not helpful when you are away from the resort and trying to get back. The app needs to provide a way to check the number of meals and snacks remaining on your meal plan so you don’t have to keep track of paper receipts. Finally FastPass, please allow better management of FP. If we deleted one and tried to rebook a different ride we would get a notice, “Not so fast” because the app thought we had already booked our maximum. If you buy a park hopper, why not allow FP for multiple parks. Only allowing three FP per day isn’t good enough for the money you spend to get into the parks. If you have the technology to tie pictures you are taking of our family to our app log in id even when we did not use FP and scan our magic band, you should have the ability to provide the suggestions we have noted here.
This place has changed a lot...
by Daveforreals on 2018/05/21 20:17
The once shiny experience nice of a Disney vacation seems to be tarnishing. On our way to the park a bus driver literally announces on the PA I’m pushing this bus as far as it will go, stranding is on the highway. We had to do a bus transfer in the rain and mud on the side of the highway rather than in the relative safety of the parking lot we pulled out of 1 minute earlier. After finally arriving at the resort, the concierge checking us in didn’t verify that anything was linked to our “magic bands”. We wasted time trying to sort out room accesses, park tickets, and fast passes. In the pool and at the parks, employees are rude, enforcing rules that make no more sense to them than to the guests. It’s apparent that micromanagement abounds and people just do what they’ve always been told to do rather than make solutions. Disney survives because there is so much money blowing through here, all they really need to do is reach up and grab a little each day. In my opinion, management is stagnant and it shows in the day to day guest experience. Spent your gobs of money someplace else.

by RLET062814SPT on 2019/12/07 16:32
The app has some neat features, but there are a lot of glitches. Anytime I try to link my hotel reservation or make a dining reservation, the app shuts down. Might be more useful in the park, but for planning it is not especially useful, unfortunately. The website has more features for managing reservations, but even that has many limitations and you often end up having to call to make changes or add/remove features

Opening early without notice because people want to camp out isn’t right. At least lock the boarding passes down until your posted opening time.
Very disappointed

Came up here. Go on this Star Wars recess. Get to the park when it’s open. Each day and group rides where done for the day not fair
Dining issues
by bobby_keith on 2019/12/07 06:13
The new version of this app is convenient, but I prefer the old version I used last time I visited Disney world in 2016. The app isn’t as friendly for finding and making dinner reservations as it used to be. I can’t see reviews of the restaurants, pictures, nor does it tell you how many dining tickets each restaurant uses for the dining plan, like it used to.

Disappointing and frustrating!

by notcool321456 on 2019/12/06 03:44
The app is very difficult to navigate and has no option to search for what you need. It needs to be cleaned up and sped up for the way Disney makes you use it.

The end result remains to be seen.

by MJB2529 on 2019/12/02 14:18
Your app does not work.
Disney more or less forces you to get the app for the parks, and it marginally fulfills it’s purpose.

by Rob zom on 2019/12/01 01:44
Hello, it is very hard to see when accounts are connected who is doing what fast pass or registration.

Bruce

5 Stars is all it will allow me!!
by T.Porteous on 2019/05/28 15:33
Never in a million years would I have thought this would be the vacation of a lifetime but I couldn’t have been more wrong.
Very helpful, but...
by awesomegame345 on 2019/06/18 14:51
It is a great app if you constantly go to Disney world and Disneyland.

Be our guest restaurant
by Mary Jane Valaitis on 2019/01/18 00:51
My recent visit to Magic Kingdom was on December 26.
