I am 30 years old and have never written a review. Chic fila consistency delivers. I pre ordered my food via the mobile app, as I’m driving to pick it up, the app reminded me to select I’m here, one step in the store my name is called. Simply excellent service !

The CFA app is so easy to use. They have added so many options for how to receive your order it is really great. I use it almost daily.

Sorry! I love chick-fil-a but your app leaves a lot to be desired. Please look at the simplicity of the Dominos app and ordering.

One of the things I love about Chick-fil-a, other than the food, is that they are quick to fix any errors. They know how to take care of people here.
Can we save our favorite order for regular use ?
by love2garden on 2019/11/21 21:05
I order the same thing each time I go. If I could have a “favorite “ order saved in the app then I could just click one button vs doing a complete order each time.

So convenient!
by User female on 2019/11/21 18:45
I’m not only reviewing this app because of how convenient it is ... but I really love that the developer took the time to have the app ask if you want to redeem your points at checkout. I already had points redeemed for the order but because I had enough points for a free drink as well, I was prompted by asking if I want to use that also. That’s awesome! Great app! Edit: App ordering is’s only great for the drive-thru but ordering to pickup in-store is not ideal...Chick fil a should create the option to pickup at a station like other restaurants. Instead you’re stuck waiting by the napkins waiting FOREVER. Get with it Chick fil a!

Serving up disappointment
by KHunt5595 on 2019/11/21 15:10
Many of us are disappointed in Chick-fil-A choice to cave into the social justice warrior mob...and not continue contributions to the Salvation Army. Chick-fil-A was one of the few companies that held fast to their core of family values. The collapse of their fortitude and courage is disheartening, and I fear that they will be added to the “get woke, go broke” list.

Curbside Pickup
by Kat1390 on 2019/11/20 22:31
The Chick-fil-A app is great except for the new parking space number requirement for curbside pickup. I understand it can help the food runners, but it also slows down the process because customers can not submit their order before they get there. The wait time in the parking spaces has increased. Sometimes that causes there not to be parking available, so then the runners do not know where customers are parked anyway. Other than that, I love the app.

No Apple Pay on app. Only at Stores
by Frozoloft on 2019/11/20 18:15
Doesn't make much sense. If you accept Apple Pay in stores, you should have the option on the app. Because I have my Apple Card connected to Apple Pay, there is no way I will ever be using this app.

Disappointed at Chick-Fil-A’s New Direction
by outdoortechie on 2019/11/20 05:56
I've often gone out of my way to patronize Chick-fil-A, particularly when I'm traveling since I don't eat out much, but no longer. They don't realize that you can never appease the left, but you can indeed alienate your most loyal customers. Thanks for the good memories of a once great chain.

No point in the mobile app
by crystalsheribarnes on 2019/11/19 19:39
What’s the point in placing a mobile order ahead if they won’t start preparing it until u get there. And they don’t let u know that before u place ur order. So there’s no point in using the app for me. Although the app is easy to use and makes it very easy to special order also.

I love CFA!
by funtimegamergirl on 2019/11/19 19:21
The latest update is causing some problems for me. When I do a carry-out order, the “I’m here” screen crashes. For a few orders, I have been able to tell Siri I am here, and my order gets sent. But just now, even that was not working and the app simply crashes. I needed a team member to recall my mobile order. And I can’t open the app until my order is complete. (Unless I use 3d touch to open up the scan option)
Can’t place mobile order
by MomofBlondBoys on 2019/11/19 19:07
Until the most recent update, I really liked the app and used it weekly. Recently I updated the app, and now cannot place a mobile order. I receive an error code 413. I reset the app multiple times, even powered the phone off and restarted to reset, still not working. This is disappointing after the app has worked so well in the past.

by CoachStacey on 2019/11/19 13:52
I don’t know if it’s the app or the company but I hate it. Problems- 1. max order $ amount so you have to do big orders via catering 2. When you do a catering order you can’t scan for points and to get them you have to save a copy of the receipt and go online later 3. If you place a large order that’s under the allowed $ amt you have to signal (via the app) when you get close to the store so they can START to prepare it....dumb...that’s why I ordered ahead so I wouldn’t have to wait for it to be prepared 4. You can’t change your email address on the app.... you have to go online. Can you please improve the customer experience????

by mikkeym on 2019/11/19 02:38
So very sad you caved to the angry mob and have decided to discriminate against Christians and their Charities. Even the Salvation Army that actually does not discriminate on whom they help, including the LGBT community that has wrongly targeted them because they are a Christian Organization. You have decided to join Atheists Starbucks and the likes it seems. My family and friends waited inline, in backed up traffic on a 4 lane hwy just to show solidarity with you on your principles in how this company stood for non discrimination against people of faith. You lost that trust as of your new CEO’s decision to discriminate against Christians and their charities. You won’t have to worry about my family or friends buying from you again until this CEO is fired and this decision reversed. 😡☹️
Went from 5 star to 0
by Skinnydipper I on 2019/11/19 00:51
Your food is excellent and the same with the service! We loved going there! You as a company stood your ground against those that hate Christians, Christianity, and God! It was very unsettling to see you surrender to the world in order to increase sales! You should realize that by conforming to the worlds standards you have chosen lucre over God! I’m not a prophet but I am sure you will lose His blessings! I will pray for you and your board of directors! I’m not willing to compromise my stand, so unfortunately I’ll not be a customer, God first, last, and everything in between! I hope this is just the liberal news media trying to ruin you!

This app is the WORST
by lok8r757 on 2019/11/18 22:56
I did everything thing this App asked to set up my account . I linked my card and even loaded $25 dollars on the account. Not once was it able to be scanned and the app that i loaded money on charged. It held up the line it was embarrassing and all i did was try to use this poorly made app and of course the people at the chikfila act like YOU did something wrong , meanwhile i had to wait days to be refunded . THIS APP IS A 100% FAIL . the aggravation and trouble it has caused me WAS NOT WORTH MY EFFORT. It really is puzzling why a quality organization would release such a poorly designed app that has failed literally every time i have used it , and YES ! I deleted it the stupid thing and reinstalled it . I hope Chick-fil-A fires whoever made this app. I wish i could give this app negative 5 stars . Freaking AWFUL .

No option for Large Fruit Cup or Large Water
by Lorelei R on 2019/11/18 18:29
I eat CFA 3-4x per week and it would be great to have an option for Large Fruit Cup and Large Cup of Water. I’d pay $0.50 for the Large cup of water. Told today that ordering two sauces for 8ct and fries is no longer applicable. Restaurant only gives me one sauce for each although I can order two on the app for each. App should be in line with what stores carry on their menu, or offer.

by Bill Nydia on 2019/11/18 11:28
Before I became a member and downloaded this app I would get a surprise email once a month with a free dessert, drink, or food item. Now I only get rewards based on the money I spend and I have to buy a whole meal just to get a free cookie. As a RED member I’m very underwhelmed. No more random emails surprising me with a free sandwich every month any more. Feels like before and after being married.

by Etrain59 on 2019/11/16 14:54
It is SUPER frustrating that when I receive. Chic Fil A gift card, I have to load it onto my One Card to use it. Then if my order is over the amount of the gift card I have to add more funds to the One Card, because I can’t use a second card to cover the extra. Then because it’s a $10 minimum to add to the One Card I am stuck in this cycle of either having to leave funds on there unused or keep adding to it. Let people pay with a gift card and then pay the remaining balance with another card on their account and get rid of the stupid Chic Fil A One Card.

by momma9waltons on 2019/09/17 20:05
The CFA app has been having issues for the last 2 months according to management at our local CFA. I experienced problems redeeming points I have earned the last 3 visits. I have called their corporate office twice and emailed them once and still no resolution. When I try to place a drive thru mobile order or dine in mobile order I used my earned points to order free food. When I am in the restaurant the points and free treats disappear off the order for awhile causing me to have to pay for the food I have ordered. Later the treats reappear in my app in the rewards section, my points for them are gone, but I was unable to use those rewards I have earned while placing the order. The corporate office has not acknowledged there is an issue with their app even though our local CFA told us many of their customers, as well as other customers nationwide, are experiencing this same problem. I asked the corporate office when should I expect a response back from the CFA tech support team and both times I have been told, “I should just wait until I felt it had been a reasonable amount of time and if I had not heard from them to go ahead and call them back.” That is not great customer service. An email or call back within 48-72 hours would be reasonable. I have been highly disappointed in CFA corporate and their lack of constructive help for a known app issue.
A premier app for an unparalleled restaurant.
by jcwilson7 on 2018/08/29 03:01
It is no surprise that the Chick-Fil-A app/reward program is superior to other fast food apps/reward programs since their food and service are superior to begin with. Really and truly the original Chick-Fil-A app/rewards was pretty good, but this new updated version sets itself even further ahead of any other fast food app I have used (and I have tried/use several others). Ordering and paying could not be easier from choosing a location, items from the menu (meals or individual items), choosing sauces, adding special instructions, changing payments, and submitting the order. The app even tracks your location (when enabled) to send the order when you’ve arrived (or close to arriving if you choose) for the freshest meal possible. Every time I use the app to order (now about 95% of the time I go) my meal is ready upon my arrival (and everything is completely correct!). I can’t say enough how superior this app is to other fast food restaurant apps out there; yet again Chick-Fil-A proves they are unparalleled when it comes to fast food chains.
New Update is Disappointing
by FireflyPrincess on 2019/09/09 22:14
Chick-Fil-A recently had a pop up asking me if I wanted to update the app. Because I love Chick-fil-A, I of course agreed. Boy, was I disappointed. The biggest difference is that now your food is not even prepared until you are relatively close (perhaps half a mile away). Our Chick-fil-A is not for the faint of heart. It is always slammed and I expect to have a wait time, I plan on it. That is why I order through the app. I even intend to do you prepare to wait when I order through the app, but to wait for 12 to 15 minutes after I have ordered through the app seems ridiculous. I should just get in the regular drive-through line or wait in the regular line inside. Now I understand that the reason this change was made was probably because somebody drove to the wrong location or complained because their food was not hot since it might have been prepared to soon before they arrived. All of this makes sense to me. However, if commonsense is applied and the app can predict the amount of time it will take to prepare your food given their current business, just like Starbucks typically does, one would think there would be a scientific formula for how long you would need to wait. Yes, overall I am still appreciative of the delicious food and the gracious service but I would like to see the app return to its previous state where I can simply walk in and my food is ready to go.
Terrible customer service response time
by Parr505 on 2019/11/07 23:20
I purchased food at roughly noon through the app and received a “503 error”. I then went in to the store and paid for my food the old fashion way. About 7 hours later I got a notification saying my food was ready, and my card was charged and my free sandwich reward was used. Tech issues happen, I get that, but the customer service is TERRIBLE. I’m currently on hold as I write this. I emailed in a few weeks ago with no response. After a few days I called in after I didn’t get a response. I was told my issue was being handled by a “regional manager” on the first call. No time frame was given on a resolution which is fine I guess. Here I am, 3 weeks later without a resolution and I can’t even talk to someone on the phone due to hold times. I was kicked off the line while waiting to talk to a rep and I’m on hold again. When the app works as intended (it usually works fine), it’s an excellent app. However, when things go wrong you have to rely on the customer support team to give a resolution within their policy. I can no longer order food from the app with confidence due to the poor customer service experience. If something goes wrong on the app, expect to have your money tied up for weeks and even months. I don’t even know if my issue will be resolved at this point. It’s a shame because the app works so well most of the time and the user experience when it works is excellent.
Can’t add multiple gift cards or multiple orders. Account switch limit
by AppleJedi on 2018/11/20 12:57
One star! The old app allowed you to stack multiple Chick Fil A gift cards but the new one does not. My local grocery only sells Chick Fil A cards in multiples of $10. I buy them there for fuel rewards. $10 doesn’t feed my family. Additionally the new app won’t let you place an additional order for food if you forgot something. You must pick up your first order before the app allows you to place another. This means going in and standing in line to place an order for the additional item. This wastes a lot of time! Some rewards won’t let you redeem two in the same order so this reduced functionality forces you to complete the first order to be able to redeem your treat reward in a second order. One more thing... old app remembered the previous Chick-Fil-A login email and the new one does not. I buy multiple cow calendars and now it’s more work to log out of one account to redeem the monthly treat and then log into another at the same Chick Fil A visit usually. For example we will use my account for my calendar treat and then my son’s account for his calendar treat of the month. Old app remembered the previous email address to save time typing it in but new one makes you delete it and type it all out. Inefficient! Your developers should be ashamed of themselves for butchering the app! Please bring back the original superior app!
Confused CFA Guests
by reedjschueler on 2019/05/08 15:31
As a Team Member, I feel obligated to express some of the thoughts guests express to me about the app, because we run into a lot of problems with it at my CFA. Rewards are too hard to get to and slow down the flow of ordering. Why is the most important option of Rewards (Redeeming in store) the last page? I often have a hard time telling guests how to get to that page and have to just point at their phone. That's weird. We should be able to explain to guest how to get to this page in simple phrases, like click the button in the top right hand corner. Not click the present (you have to say present because the font that says "Rewards" is to small to read) Then swipe over in the top 1/3 of the screen twice. Thats weird, and we often say like "sorry our app is a little weird" to guests to make them to feel like its their fault. Overall, there's a lot of messy parts. Guests also try to scan to pay and don't know they didn't hook up money, and this is just because the font on button is just way to small. In Florida, about 50% is 50+, and you we cant depend on them being able to read the very small text so we just say tap the 1st or 2nd button, but it would be much easier if everything was just readable. I hope these thoughts help in improving the app. :)
My 2 cents because I use the app daily
by Stephanie Lovett on 2019/02/07 14:05
So there are three complaints I have, but at the moment I can only think of 2: 1. When loading money into the app I love that there are different payment/card options. However, I cannot pick anything less than $25 to reload. I would like for the amount to be adjustable to MY personal situation. I understand people miskey and may make the mistake of adding more funds than intended, but if the top threshold is $100 then I don’t see where the big problem is. 2. I have a lot of rewards, and last time I made the mistake of picking a frosted lemonade instead of the milkshake. The picture look almost alike so it was silly mistake while dealing with 4 kids in tow. The manager couldn’t back out of the reward to pick the right now, but thankfully the points were the same for milkshake & frozen drink so it wasn’t a big deal. The problem comes when one may double tap the wrong reward (happened to me!) and then you have 2 fries when you only wanted one. 3. Will come back to give feedback
App Hacked, Nothing Was Done
by rynpup on 2019/05/31 22:28
When I discovered that someone hacked into my Chick Fil A app and was using my credit card to add money to a digital gift card, I immediately called customer service. The representative admitted it’s very likely someone did hack my account and discouraged me from deactivating it. I took his advice and instead changed my password, enabled Touch ID and removed my credit card information from the app and called the card company. My card company handled everything perfectly, but the next day I discovered my account was still being used by someone on the other side of the country. I called Chick Fil A customer service again and he submitted a form to have my account deactivated. It’s been a week, my account is still being used by the hackers and nothing has been done on Chick Fil A’s part. I’m shocked by how hard it has been to keep my account secure. Even though I’ve enabled Touch ID and changed my password, it seems as though there’s no way to force a log out so whoever used my account the first time is still able to do so. And I don’t have the capability to deactivate my account myself because of the outstanding balance the hackers put on the digital gift card linked to my account. As soon as I get customer service to do their job, I am deleting the app and will never re-download.
Pretty Perfect
by CKW96 on 2018/10/10 21:52
This app is perfect, I’ve never had an issue and it is very dependable. I deliver pizzas and sometimes I’m in the mood for a grilled chicken sandwich or my personal favorite spicy chicken sandwich with strawberry jelly! I usually don’t get off work til after Chick-fil-a closing hour. Also the last couple of hours where I’m from seem to be the busiest. I hate waiting in lines whether it’s drive thru or inside, so being able to place my order after I drop off a pizza, a driving 5 minutes to get there, walk into the store, grab my bag and I’m otw back to work is literally genius. Even better I’m able to comfortably ask my brother or my boyfriend to pick up food otw without dealing with money or them putting in the wrong order etc. This app is fabulous and I’m upset with myself for not getting it sooner lol. If there was anything I could change on here is giving me an option to write notes like, extra crunchy chicken, or give an option to have a large water, but that’s simple and I’m sure it’ll change soon😁
Time Saver ! close to flawless so far
by TBS_ATLANTA on 2018/05/09 16:56
This App allows me to dine take out or eat in from the “bag”. Before the app, which i 1st heard Clark Howard praise on the radio, the Atlanta Peachtree X Collier Rd location, a mere 2blocks from our office was nearly unusable due to the wait times. I would go there once every few months and never use the drive through, now i walk up on pleasant days at least weekly. i know to hit the “i’m here” button about 100 yds before i walk in and i now get my food in 1 to 3 minutes like clock work. The app allows me to customize everything on the menu and while i’ve seen them miss a condiment here or there i think overall accuracy is much higher because of the total digital experience. The only flaw i saw recently is they removed all salads for a week or 2 due to the romaine lettuce problems - in a perfect customer experience world they would have messaged inside the app what was going on.
Good App Poor Experience @ Restaurant
by AnthonyDauer on 2017/09/04 17:48
Overall it's a great app. Customization of orders are limited. If want lettuce and no tomatoes, you can only do that with the original sandwich while you're not able to remove it from the deluxe version. At Fairfax Circle, a normally very busy location in my experience, they do not have dedicated parking for mobile orders, but insist that mobile orders are picked up thru walk-in vice drive thru. The app includes a notification that you're at the restaurant with the caveat it is to provide the freshest food. Sitting out in the parking lot until there's a space to park is not going to keep the food fresh. They should be able to either take my order number at the drive thru and enter it so I am in the sequence or it's an option in the app to notify them the customer is in the drive thru queue. Or reserve a space for pick up orders like every other restaurant in the country pretty much does for their mobile orders. The customer isn't going to know the parking lot is full before they arrive and the mobile order is to place your order before you even arrive at the restaurant with your custom choices.
Jasper, Al Chick-fil-A
by sharalegg on 2019/05/22 16:13
I eat there literally 3-5 times a week. I always order through the app, and most of the day time employees know me by name. I eat there on my way to work because ordering through the app and going in to grab my food used to be fast and convenient, and my order was always correct. That is no longer the case. It takes longer and longer to get my food, and often I don’t get napkins or all of my condiments. And I don’t know this until I get to my car because they tape the bag shut. And even that takes entirely too long. They can’t just fold the bag over and tape it. Instead it has to be rolled down ever so carefully. Anyway, today was my last straw. I decided to order through the app and pick my food up at the drive thru because I’m working at home today and was still in my pajamas. I got there well before 10:30 but didn’t get to the speaker until 10:31. I was told I couldn’t get my breakfast. It was literally 1 minute late, and if your employees hadn’t suddenly become slow as hell, I would’ve been at the window well before 10:30. So I left and went to Jack’s who served me even though it was a few minutes after 10:30. I’ll let them have my regular business from now on.
Good overall but should allow Dine In option for mobile orders
by ostatemike on 2018/05/07 17:23
I really like the app. I have a few wishes for the app and rewards program. First, I wish we could exchange rewards earned for other equivalent food/drink options. Often, I earn a breakfast biscuit and never use them, because I don’t like biscuits. I wish it would just allow you to get a monetary credit on your order in the amount of the retail price of the freebie offered. I also wish they wouldn’t expire so quickly, but I don’t foresee them giving any consideration to that. Most importantly, I think mobile orders should allow the customer to choose not only between Carry-out and Drive-thru but also Dine-in. It seems odd to me that you can order for carry-out but not feel welcome to eat in the restaurant if you so choose. Tried to order this morning (5/07) and the app crashed several times and would never submit the order. So I had to order the old way and wait during morning rush hour. Usually the app works well, but this morning, it wouldn’t allow me to submit my order despite 5-6 attempts.
I want to love the app like I love Chick Fil A
by Sillishelli on 2018/07/25 22:18
This app is mediocre at best. I got a Facebook notification about a free sandwich if I purchased online today. Ordering chicken minis online from home worked to begin with but that was where the success ended. I left home and immediately couldn’t access my order to “pull up and let them know” I was at the restaurant. I have not once ever, despite re-downloading the app at least 3 times, been able to view orders or treats without being on wifi (typically mine at home). I have an iPhone 8+, have the latest version of ios, and sufficient memory on my phone for the app. But I get the message that the app “isn’t connected to the internet”—whaaa? I live in a town of 200,000 on a major highway with LTE everywhere. So, to solve my problem I just pulled up to the drive thru and told them I had an online order. The girl gave me my food but gave me no free sandwich or comparable breakfast item. I thought the free item might come as a notification on the app but nope, not there, either. A disappointment altogether...Please get the glitches fixed on this app once and for all.
by Nancyw69 on 2018/11/17 17:00
The only thing about this app that needs improvement is the where you can put a note to the store. My family and order through the app and love it for the most part, however, the spaces it gives to let the store know something that you would like them to do is NOT enough! I just tried to put that I want the fries in separate bags that have salt on them and this is all I could put and had to do it without spaces between words to put the message: UNSALTEDFRIESSEPARATEBAGMARKED So I was trying to say that I wanted the unsalted fries in a separate bag and mark it so I would know which ones are salted and which ones are not, but the above message took every space it gives you, so if you wanted to ask tell them to put one of the meals in a separate bag or to put all the sauces in separate bag or anything else there is no way to do it! And now I just noticed that when you review your order details after you submit it, you can’t see the message you sent with it. That also needs to be corrected! One last thing I just remembered, I know that when I got through the drive thru or go inside and order, I can order the fruit cups without one of the fruits that I don’t care for, but it doesn’t allow that on the app, so that would also either need more space on the message part or the option to remove one of the fruits from the fruit cup! In the end, I don’t really understand why the message part is SO limited with spaces! :/
Rewards program has been DOWNGRADED
by Curtisamongus on 2018/08/02 05:56
Used to be really happy with ChikFilA rewards program. I would get free food items every few visits. However, they just changed their rewards program into a tier based points system. For example, the lowest level gives you 10 points for every dollar. To give you an idea, salads (which I used to get for free around once a month) take 1500 points to purchase. That means you would have to spend $150 in fast food at ChikFilA just to get a free salad. The top tier (red member) requires 5000 points to maintain red-level status. Red members accrue points faster by getting 12 points for every dollar and get a few more benefits - nothing that much more amazing than lower level members. 5000 points is over $400 in fast food within a year. I don’t think my arteries could handle that. Anyways, as far as the app goes it’s great and easy to do mobile orders. However, I don’t think I will be spending as much at ChikFilA as I used to because of the rewards program changes.
Needs additional feature for allergies!
by Amy_dub on 2018/03/07 05:40
Tonight I ordered a Cobb salad in addition to several other items for curbside pick up. Within the item notes of the salad I put in capital letters “NO EGGS - allergic” because there was no option to order my Salad minus any ingredients. I also included within the whole order notes the same comment, in capital letters. I get my order quickly at curbside, but I’m disappointed to see my salad covered in egg. It’s been an exhausting day, my family is home starving and the restaurant is extremely busy. So I just take my incorrect order home because I don’t have the time or energy to go inside, with NO receipt, and wait for a new salad. At home we had to switch around who was eating what since the egg is chopped so finely it literally cannot be picked off. CFA is so accommodating of allergies when eating within the restaurant, it would be nice to see that accommodation extend to the app as well!
Needs a “referral credit” feature
by Gabrielle Zoe' on 2018/07/24 16:41
I love this app! I’ve had it since 2016 when it first came out. I love that you get treats whether you buy food or just because. I love that now you can scan your receipt if you forgot to scan your app at the restaurant. I love that you can place mobile orders and skip long lines (even though the lines move super quick anyway). I tell all my friends that they need to download the app, especially if they have kids, because let’s face it, Chick-fil-A is the best option for “fast food.” I put it in quotes because Chick-fil-A is my favorite restaurant and I don’t qualify it as fast food. With that being said, the only thing that can take this app to the next level is a referral credit option. When I refer people to download the app, it would be nice to get treated in any form. Perhaps a head start to a treat, a free treat option, or cash placed onto the app. What do you think?
They do pretty good, except with instructions
by bookgirl262 on 2017/11/17 02:28
I’ve enjoyed the app - earning treats is awesome. I’ve only ever had one problem but it’s repetitive enough to knock a couple of stars off my rating. My family special orders items frequently so we were thrilled to see the “special instructions” section. For some reason they never follow the special instructions. After finding parking and wading through the line to “quickly” get my order it’s frustrating that EVERY TIME the special instructions are missed. Now we have to stand and watch regular walk-up orders be completed before our mobile order is corrected. This has happens at least 5 times. I’ve spoken with the manager and the GM about what to put to get the directions followed keeps happening. Apologies worked the first few times but now I’m hoping this review does something. Maybe a manual acknowledgment or something when special instructions are on mobile orders. I don’t know but it’s beyond frustrating from such a customer-oriented company.
The only way!
by GaRailroadMan90 on 2019/08/06 00:30
Since the first time I downloaded the app, I have yet to order any other way. From curb side pick up, to the drive thru, or even walking in to pick up. Everyone knows Chick-fil-A is always busy, and it’s an obvious reason. How I pick up depends on the line inside, or the drive thru. It remember your most frequent orders, so you can literally get your favorite meal with two clicks! I would give it 5 stars, yet one time they didn’t put my sauce in the bag. Everyone knows you need the sauce. I didn’t complain to them, because let’s face it, the Chick-fil-A staff are the most courteous and joyful crew I’ve ever been served by. They even give my pup a biscuit at breakfast! I highly recommend using the app. Even if you’re going to dine in! Your order will be waiting on the counter, with your name clearly shown on the receipt! Plus they give rewards for using, like the free sandwich I got just a couple days ago!
by Visay1 on 2017/10/11 23:17
If you love Chik-Fil-A, you NEED to download this app!!! It’s SO CONVENIENT! Like I don’t remember how I even got to downloading it but all I know is I use it a LOT more than I thought I would (almost more than yelp lately, whaaat?!). I mean Chik-Fil-A’s drive thru service is already top-notch fast, but if you don’t mind walking a little (the app is carry-out only) then you’ll get your food even faster than drive-thru... you even skip the lines inside!! The app is super easy to use and has a picture, prices, and calories for each item. I made an order during rush hour from my car in the parking lot, walked in, and they were already done. I kinda felt bad because the register lines went out the door and drive thru was slammed. Not to mention FREE FOOD!!!! The app gives you a lot of free stuff for using it!! I’ve gotten free waffle fries, a couple free sandwiches, free ice cream... I love this app.
Good Service, Poor App
by Dazzikins on 2018/05/15 23:14
It’s going on three separate times when I’ve pre-ordered my food and when I get there to pick it up, it’s not ready. Before you ask “did you tell the app you’re here and ready to pick up”? Yes I did but for some reason my app just keeps thinking for the last 5-7 minutes to drive to the store to pick up my meal. When I get there it’s not ready because the app never sent the order to the store. Luckily, the manager on watch knew what to do and had my food made fresh to go. But having an app for pre-order is kind of useless if it doesn’t work. There’s a girl that works at the store I normally go to and she agrees that it’s weird that it never shows up. My app just says that the order never went through and I have to talk to the manager. But then I’ll get a receipt saying thank you for your purchase. This is with the latest update you sent out. Please fix this because I’m scared to use my lunch time to get food prepared and be late to work because the app doesn’t work.
App is great but some stores have issues
by Merideth/Scott Cooper on 2017/10/19 03:39
I use the app quite a bit and never encounter issues but while in Houston, TX I had a major problem. The app showed a store was open past 10:00 p.m which was fantastic except after ordering my meal and only given the option for carry out, I was disappointed to find the doors to the restaurant locked! The officer inside explained the drive thru was open. I told him I had a mobile order and he explained to me they would have it. Once to the menu to order o told them I had a mobile order. She originally said she could not locate it. After giving her the order number she found it. When pulling up to the window the order was completely wrong and I had to hand them my phone to review the order. They did get it right but did not apologize for the inconvenience. I don't fault the app as much as the management at the location. If they are accepting mobile orders they should be open or allow you in. If they are not going to do that, then they should utilize the curbside delivery spots that other stores have. This was a frustrating visit and it did not have to be.
Clumsy process to redeem awards
by You know me. on 2019/01/19 15:02
Redeeming awards through this app is extremely clumsy, which is especially frustrating in a drive thru. You first have to select what item you want to redeem. It then gets added to the “awards” screen. THEN you have to go to that screen and click “redeem,” at which point it brings up a barcode to be scanned. HOWEVER, if you let your phone go to sleep and then wake it back up again, the app seems to forget that you were about to redeem an award and just scans as if you’re paying in full. It happened to me this morning. Only when I looked at my receipt later did I realize that I paid full price and did not get my reward. ALSO, once you “redeem” an award, it will then expire in 30 days. The whole process seems needlessly complicated. I don’t even know how it would’ve worked if I had received my award. Would I have had to scan twice? Once for the award, and once to get credit for my purchase? I love Chick-fil-A, but I might just stop using the app. It feels like more trouble than it’s worth.
by mburgin1073 on 2018/11/17 01:47
I was in the Athens, Al store on today for a late lunch around 3pm. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich deluxe with bacon combo meal. My sandwich was cold and chicken very dried out and tough! I sent it back and a manager approached me and asked if it was my bread cold or chicken?! Not sure what that was about. I told her that the whole sandwich was cold and not fresh. I sat there 10min on a remake and ate only fries. I was brought another sandwich (same sandwich) reheated to be exact! The meat was very greasy and thrown back in grease or something with the same bread retoasted because it was darker and the same bacon barley cooked and not warmed and the chicken still dried out! By the time my sandwich made it back my fries were gone. I was never apologized to, not offered a refund or any type of customer service! I spend a lot of money weekly for my family and this was really upsetting and disappointing to me and I would like some type of compensation!
Love it so much, one thing consistently bother me though
by Sizzleksiz on 2019/02/22 22:40
I have had the chic fil a app since it launched originally, and I’ve always loved it. I love the improvements that have been made, I love the usability and really just how easy the app makes everything. It’s very convenient and quite frankly elevates the experience. But, one thing has continuously bothered me that I’m surprised hasn’t already been added to the app. If you have multiple payment methods within the app, you cannot name them. I have multiple cards in my app, and all the app shows is the last 4 of the app so I can differentiate them but I don’t memorize the last 4 of every card I have, so it’s really frustrating. I would very much like to see a feature allowing you to name the different cards. Also, sometimes when ordering through the app, I have maybe 41 cents or something like that, some money but not enough to buy something, left on my chic fil a card. But, in order to use that I’d have to reload the card and then use it, or go inside and scan it, which defeats the purpose of the mobile order to skip the line. There should really be a way to combine these two payment methods, so I could use the rest of the money of the chic fil a card with one of the payment methods in the app. Overall, wonderful. If the features above were added, it would only make the experience better!
Great Rewards Program, Easy to Use
by World-Class Tutoring, Atlanta on 2019/03/16 19:42
This app gives you about 8% rewards (in terms of cash value) whenever you use it, and that can increase up to around 10% if you upgrade your membership (which happens automatically so long as you eat at Chick Fil A’s often and pay through the app). The app’s also easy to use and navigate, and it periodically gives you freebies. For example, I live in Atlanta. The app detects my location and gives me about one free breakfast entree each month as a surprise. Basically, awesome app, although the location-tracking function (when you place a mobile order, you have the option of allowing the app to track your location as you walk to the restaurant so that it can prompt you to click “Prepare My Order” when you’re close) ought to turn off automatically after the dish has been served.
Exploring the App
by khimlaw on 2017/11/06 13:15
My review is about the app itself. I can’t order buns separately. You can in store. When I add items to cart I would like the option to go to cart and review, see price and make changes with price prior to it forcing me to pick a location. No where does it show breakfast hours. I had to go to Google it. I agree with others that the point of an app is to be supported at all locations. If all locations don’t have say a parking spot for to go orders then it’s needs to be advised before you place your order. It’s not the customers job to figure it out after they arrive. App folks get on the phones and call locations you load and ask. I don’t want to use the app yet until I contact the store each time to find out. By the time I do that I can just go through the line or in store and order. My time is more valuable than in-app freebies. For those that have issues with your stores, hit twitter and email corporate. This has always worked for me with numerous chained stores. In my experience it’s mostly a training issue “such as a lazy manager not training, a specific employee, or a store that doesn’t follow corporate rules. It goes a long way when corporate here’s of an incident in a particular store, “you will get freebies” as opposed to blaming the chain as a whole. Yelp and FB are ok for complaints for customers to see but if you want to get results and see changes Corporate and Twitter are the way to go.
by jessicaroberts2 on 2019/08/30 14:57
I ordered breakfast this morning through the app at 10:20 because I knew I was 10 mins away and wanted to get the breakfast order placed so they could make it and have it ready for me by 10:30. The app said to confirm when U got there so they could bring the order out, but on my way there I got a notification that said “open the app and we’ll start making your order” which confused me because before it only said to confirm when I arrived at the restaurant . Then I got there at exactly 10:30 and went inside because I chose indoor pickup. I opened up my Chick-fil-a app, ready to tap “i’m here” and I got a pop-up notification that said breakfast had ended. I figured this was just a notification for everyone on the app, so I went to confirm that I was there and suddenly the order disappeared with no trace. There was no transaction history, no fee, nothing to show. I ordered ahead to be able to quickly pickup my breakfast, and instead I was left with wasted gas and time. I am extremely disappointed by this.
Great when it’s working
by Geminirock19 on 2017/12/02 21:51
I just had a big issue with this app tonight. I purchase a lot of Chick fil a to get my free treats... so I put in a mobile order tonight to redeem my latest one. When I got to the restaurant, the “tap I’m Here” portion wouldn’t come up- the order was completely gone, so I then tried to resubmit another order really quick. It still said I had my treat available at that point. I added it to an order, but it was charging me full price and the app started glitching at that point. I restarted the app, and my treat was GONE from there on out. I know this is totally a first world problem, but geez that was aggravating. The treat never came back to my account. I explained the situation to the girl at the register and she offered me my treat, but I felt like they thought I was lying :((( The app seems to be more glitchy lately. Otherwise, I’ve loved it in the past.
Don’t like the revamp
by zelasmetallium on 2018/08/08 15:58
I preferred the older app for both ordering, pick up, and also the rewards program. It used to be somewhat of a game/lottery to see what reward will I be getting, now this redemption of points make it less joyful to see what reward I will get, and also disappoints me that I must spend less amount to get certain rewards. In the old system I will go out of my way to order, and even buy stuff because I feel bad for getting something for free. Now I no longer feel obligated nor will I go as often. Also the order pickup process was confusing: the animation changes now when you get closer to the store, and it makes it seems like by seeing this animation change, the restaurant is now preparing he order; in fact you still have to press a button for them to start an order, so last time I waited 5 minutes before I realized I had to do that. Final note, not all chick til a’s seem to have this working, once I updated the app and ordered, the one I normally go to said they never got the order.
Mom’s new friend
by Cranky mom 2013 on 2018/10/02 19:36
This app is the best for busy moms. Previously, I would have to stand in line and my kids would play in the play area, running back to me to make sure I’m still there. Not anymore. I enter our order, either at home or sometimes after I get there, sit down near the play area and my kids play, peeking out every now and then to check on me. If I don’t feel like dining in I opt for curb side and don’t have to worry about even getting the kids out of the car. As far as rewards, my CFA always seems to have some kind of free deal going on or free coupon floating around (plus I got the calendar deals), but now I can choose my reward. And I LOVE how I can combine deals so even during a lean week I can still take the kids to CFA for food they will eat and a cooking mess I don’t have to clean up, and fun for all. Plus they have the best iced tea and cookies 😁.
App is a headache

Will you still love this app because we could pre-order breakfast and pick it up quickly. After the update they changed several items and how they can be ordered. For instance try to order a bagel sandwich with egg and sausage not chicken egg and sausage. You cannot do it you have to go into the restaurant on the positive it has saved us A lot of money because we quit ordering breakfast from Chick-fil-A also the app update requires you to pick a restaurant before looking at the menu. I think that’s out of order because I want to look at the menu to see what I want before I commit to ordering and selecting a restaurant. Finally there should be a selection that says placed my order now. I should not have to confirm several times before I get to place order. I really do miss the old app. Maybe someday it will get better.
Marginal functionality
by AvidHunter1 on 2018/01/21 08:49
I just loaded the app on my phone, and proceeded to attempt loading my usual order in it to check out its functionality. I immediately found two problems with the app. First, the app only presents curbside and pickup options. I normally dine in the restaurant. I’d like to know that I can bypass the line, as this app has been advertised. The restaurant also doesn’t have a mechanism to separate traditional traffic from app traffic, a separate line for orders through the app. The second problem that I noticed is that when placing an order, you are not allowed to add extras, for example, extra tomatoes, to your entree. Note that this is not a comprehensive review of your app, as it is Sunday and I could not exercise the payment options, but including Apple Pay would be a nice option to add. At this point, without having the first two options, that I initially described available, I foresee the use of this app causing me nothing but frustration and delays.
Glitches should be fixed
by Mary Moorefield on 2019/08/20 13:44
I am normally pretty much a Chick-fil-A ambassador - I trumpet all things Chick-fil-A. My recent experience with the app was negative, however. I knew how much I had to spend before a certain date to keep my red status. But when I got within a week, although still thinking I needed to spend about $11 more dollars to keep it, the app said I had achieved it until 2020. I figured I had miscalculated, so it was a relief to get there. However, the next time I opened it after the rollover date, I was knocked down to silver status. I contacted Chick-fil-A, and basically, the response was “yes, there was a bug that did this, tough luck.” If I had know of the glitch, I would have kept spending to keep the status. I’m not happy with the app or how this turned out. Additionally, the app doesn’t tell you on the main points screen how many points you have and need to earn to keep your status anymore. Please bring this back. Basically, the app was way better before the major overhaul.
Needs only one tweak
by Melody chorus on 2018/06/10 19:05
Absolutely love this app! I have allergies, so I always have to special order my food. This app makes the process much easier, and with much less confusion between customers and staff. I also love the rewards you get! The only thing that really needs to be tweaked, is you can leave special instructions on an entrée, or an entire order, but not a meal. There is a $.54 difference between my usual order when I order everything separately, between the meal. Doesn’t sound like much, but it adds up to about $26 a year, which is a months worth of Chick-fil-A for me. If you leave special instructions on an entire order and you order more than one meal, it leads to a lot of confusion for the staff. Please make things easier for both staff and customers and address this issue. Otherwise, I highly recommend it.
This is how to do it right
by MarcDCMB on 2017/10/13 20:28
I have been using this app since it was first released and I am still as impressed with it as I was the first time I tried it. The folks who designed it absolutely understood the customer experience. You can easily change the order any way that you like. Want a different kind of salad dressing? Done. Want less or no ice in your drink? Done. Don't like pickles on your chicken sandwich? Done. Also the integration with the curbside or carry out options at the restaurant mesh nicely to make for a seamless experience. That's not to say there haven't been a few hiccups along the way, but with each release they have improved the app noticeably . I actually look forward each time there is a new release because they always find someway to make a great app even better. I think the only improvement left that I could suggest would be the ability to see the contents of your "favorites" before you add them to the cart. Not a big deal, and you can always remove it from the cart if it's not the one you wanted. Sometimes I want lemonade with my meal, sometimes Coke and sometimes a milkshake. I have actually become somewhat proficient with guessing which is which based on the calories alone which they do show. :-)
Neat design and mostly user friendly, however...
by Rat Weelcheese on 2017/10/13 20:33
I like the design and layout, and the app is pretty user friendly, however, when I tried to place a catering order it brought me to a webpage within the app. Not sure how to describe it other than like twitter's mini web browser when you click and link. Anyway it brings you almost "out of the app" to a new "page" where I am not signed in, and after filling out all the orders I had to sign in, and didn't remember my password since I created my account a while ago and the app auto-signed me in, so I had to cancel order, reset password, and sign in again. I ended up just calling the nearest chick fil a and placing a cratering order that way because of the inaccurate and vague information about the chick fil a location that I was ordering from. Too much of a hassle for me to order any catering platters, so until this "other window" bug or redesign is fixed, I'll still be calling in orders.
Beware of glitches
by BvrCvr on 2018/04/07 16:10
They should name the treat program the bait and switch program. The last two times I’ve selected a treat to redeem, it somehow takes off a different treat than the one I chose. The one deleted just so happens to be of greater value than the one chosen. Reporting it to customer service both times, they told me to turn off treats to avoid this. Duh, how can I redeem the treat I want to use if I do that? Beware there is no recourse if funds are taken from your autopay without your permission. On another visit, a cashier charged the autopay on my app while I was trying to get her to correct my order. I was told it was my tough luck by her and the assistant manager. Supposedly once funds are taken off by the store, there is no way for them to reverse the transaction even if they screwed up. I wound up paying for an order of food that I didn’t want. Third complaint, even though I was signed into my account and ordering through the app, I did not receive credit for a sizable catering order.
IN LOVE. Will never go through drive thru again
by NicoleReevesss. on 2017/09/15 17:57
This app is literally the best thing ever. For some reason no one around my Chick-fil-A really uses it so the curbside parking (we only have two spaces) are always open. This is the most convenient thing ever. You can type what you want to order before you get there, and when you are in the curbside parking you click the button that says "I'm here" and they bring it out to you in just a few minutes. And the app, or sometimes your location, will give you free treats(menu items like a sandwich or biscuit). My location gives free treats pretty often. You can even earn free treats by ordering through the app instead of going through the drive thru. I had 2 free breakfast items for this month. Soooo it's easily my favorite way to order Chick-fil-A now.
Skip the drive thru line
by Ehendershot17 on 2018/07/24 06:05
I love everything about the app! Most specifically the way you can customize any item on the menu and being able to choose how you want to pick it up. Personally, I love doing Curbside because it’s always been faster than sitting in the drive thru and because I’m too lazy to get out of my car and go inside. The downside is that they usually forget my sauces so I end up inside anyways. The only reason this isn’t a five star review is because the app requires you to load money onto it and the lowest you can add is $10. I wish the developers of this app could figure out how to let customers just Apple Pay to pay for the order directly. I would definitely use this app more often if that happened. When I’m not in a rush I like dinning in but never use the app to order because of the limited payment options. I’d u
Allergen parent - This app went from great to unusable
by GT ChE on 2019/04/06 01:06
My kid has a severe food allergy. The app used to be loaded with the nutritional information and the ingredient declarations. CFA has been our favorite place to go when traveling because getting their information has always been so easy. With one of the latest updates, that information is no longer readily available. When traveling the other week, the airport we were in had a CFA. Rushing for time, we pulled out the app and noticed it was different. The airport location was not an order ahead on the app location so I could get any allergen info since I wasn’t actually ordering. After frantically looking for a couple of minutes we moved on elsewhere. As an allergen parent, you can’t keep a running list of everything the kid can eat all the time. It gets overwhelming. The info needs to be easily accessible to verify in a pinch. Please consider updating it so basic information about your products can be available whether I am ordering or not.
More customization please
by jalupto on 2018/08/08 17:41
Overall the app is very convenient, especially combined with Apple Pay. My concern though is not having the option to add three pumps of strawberry from the shake stuff to my tea on the app. Yes, there’s special instructions, but I was told they won’t do it anymore because it costs extra and there’s no way to charge through the app for the pumps. So when I order ahead of time to pick up an order for two people, it’s a little inconvenient having to always go in and wait in line for a separate order just for my custom drink. Which is still a very simple order. I’ve been getting this custom tea for 7 years, and every single employee gives me a confused look when I order it lol. Even though an employee told me of the idea 7 years ago. Please just add more custom options for the drinks. I don’t care if it costs extra.

Our local Chick is very busy, and while parking to do indoor pickup may sound inconvenient, it’s far better than dealing with a drive through line which wraps around the building! It’s great to order, drive there and pick up quickly. I currently have two wish-list items for which I would give that 5th star: 1) Please give us the option to pay with Apple Pay or PayPal. I would rather not share my CC info. Jimmy John’s offers Apple Pay and I really like that. 2) In your feedback options, please add the option for us to report that we did not receive the items we ordered, along with the ability to explain what was wrong. Periodically I get sweet tea instead of unsweetened... gah!!! Can’t drink the sweet stuff, have to pour it down the drain. I try to remember to check it before I leave the store, but sometimes I forget.
Whitesburg drive area in Huntsville Al

I love Chi Fil A and eat at one every day. This one is the slowest most non personal facility I have been to in any state. Tonight I waited for ever and the girl that brought my meal basically sat it down and mumbled something and walked off There were two young people working the counter and the young lady was consistent but had no interaction other than asking for the order. the young man kept wandering away and people were lined up out the door on both registers . It's just not like most Chik Fil A stores I go thru Hampton Cove going home and I am going to start waiting and stopping at the chik Fil A there It's high energy and people are smiling and speaking to customers and each other. It is just a better attitude and atomosphere I am not complaining I would just want to know if this were my store
Not thrilled about the update...
by jcabiro on 2018/08/19 14:53
Like others have said, the old app worked perfectly. It was so much easier to use. And it worked. I placed an order with the new app. When I got to the location I clicked the “prepare my order” button and i got an error “sorry. Something went wrong. We may need to resolve this in person.” I went inside and they said they didn’t get the order (it didn’t show up under my recent orders in the app either). So I placed the order again. When I checked my bank account they charged me twice for the same order. I went back to the app and now it shows up that I placed the same exact order twice. I tried contacting customer support via the app on three different days and have yet to hear back from them. Not thrilled.
Needs work
by satodd09 on 2017/10/25 19:05
Loved the thought of being able order ahead but learned the hard way you can't do drive thru. I was in a hurry, placed my order and when I got there was told I had to come inside. The entire point was not having to get my 3 small kids out of the truck. Waste of time. Now it's not even giving me the treats. It's been saying I have treats waiting for a week now but the treats never load so it's not tracking anymore and I've wasted 2 visits because I'm not getting credit. Edit on 10/25 - I’m using the app and it keeps telling me to download the app so I can order online. I already have the app and I’m trying to place an order for a tray. It doesn’t let you use the app to pay for catering orders and you can’t add single entrees to the catering order. Would have been much faster to just call the store and place the order. I was also never notified that I had a treat waiting and just saw that one had expired. Disappointed but still love my CFA!!
Breakfast ordering needs work.
by Chriz2005 on 2017/10/11 15:57
I place my breakfast order at 10:25. I can normally get there from where I ordered within 5 minutes. There was a wreck at the intersection I have to go through so I got delayed. Pulled in at 10:37, clicked I'm here and it said my order contained breakfast items and was canceled and that I was not charged. Not happy. I've cut it close before in-store but as long as my order was placed before 10:30, it was honored. This time, it wasn't. This was my first time using the app. Instead of taking the time to sign up and order, I should've just went ahead and started driving there. I explained my experience to executive director of the location who was coincidentally the one taking my now-lunch order. He apologized and waived my large fry up charge. The app either needs some disclaimer about these types of situations or honor orders placed before the 10:30 cutoff even if they arrive shortly after. One last thing, there needs to be the ability to add bacon as an extra to the sausage biscuit sandwich.
Disappointing Experience
by Dantsyyyyya on 2017/09/16 19:45
I ordered via the app for curbside service as I usually do, & the app said my order was ready after about 5 mins. I waited for about 10 more minutes, & then called to check the status of my order. The young lady who answered the phone said they didn't know where I was. I made her aware that I was parked in the designated "Reserved for curbside delivery " section & identified via the app the type of vehicle I was driving. She apologized & said they would be right out. After about another 10 more mins my food was brought out to me. I was tempted to put ZERO stars, but I can honestly say 99% of my other Chic Fil A experiences have been pleasant, even though they were at different locations. I hope this location can improve their curbside services in the future.
