Works w Onkyo TX-NR636!
by BP Thor on 2018/11/07 04:39
I was using Onkyo Remote 3 happily for a couple of years on my iPhone 6 running iOS 10. Then I upgraded to iOS 11, and everything stopped working. To my delight, I just tried this Integra app tonight, and it works with my Onkyo TX-NR636! I really missed having a phone app to control Zone 2 when I was on my back patio — using the original remote for Zone 2 control is painful at best. Onkyo, please upgrade your Onkyo Remote 3 app, or release this Integra Remote app also branded as Onkyo Remote 4. Not supporting iOS 11 with your previous app made me question whether I would ever buy Onkyo again.
Connectivity Issues - STILL
by Ron Kwok on 2018/01/22 21:34
App is great when it finds the receiver. After a few days, the app can't find the receiver and the only way to correct this is to unplug the unit, wait a bit, then plug it back in. Very annoying and based on the reviews, it's a common issue. For what's supposed to be a high end receiver/brand, this is bush league stuff. Check out the Yamaha app if you want to see how a quality app works and feels. Fix it Integra!
Great app!!
by Tianarhadoo on 2016/10/30 21:11
I've been using this app for several years with my Onkyo tr-nr1010. I can control the source, volume, and EQ settings from a different room, even from my backyard as long I still have wifi. It is a full functional remote. I can stream music from my iTunes library. Wish that would be a way to incorporate the iPhone volume buttons to control receiver's volume instead of using the phone' screen.
Works well
by Inigo Montoya Sr on 2016/09/04 14:09
I just exchanged my receiver for a DRX5, going from a a Pioneer Elite SC-63. The Pioneer app barely connected, and it was overengineered. This app seems much simpler, and while I had some issues intially, once I upgraded the firmware, all connectivity issues went away. I didn't understand how to set the correct listening modes, but after tweaking with it a bit, it has a lot of functionality. The streaming with Tidal makes it so smooth, and I haven't even tried the other features (HDbase T, Zone 2 automatic shift, etc), but I am loving this unit.
Never connects
by dudeontour on 2016/07/15 22:45
Got this app to work once and seemed to be enough to access when not in the room. Have not been able to connect since. Reset everything, triple checked settings, reset router....nada.

Will the be control for zone 2 & 3. DTR50.7
Not good
by Ilndgrl22 on 2015/09/05 17:01
Unfortunately, due to our Integra bluetooth tuner we have to use this app. It constantly crashes or cannot find device. The only way to resolve is removing the app and downloading again. Even this is crazy because the Integra remote app doesn't show up on a search. You have to go to the web and download from there .
Volume control
by Lucia134 on 2015/07/21 13:04
We have 3 areas with speakers. On the older integra app version we could change the volume in each area without interrupting the music. In the new app, when we go back and select another area to control the volume, it shuts the music off. Using the app, what can be done to change the volume in each area without shutting off the music?
Nice

Good looking! No Zone 2 Volume.
by unclutterIT on 2015/03/14 15:52
Running for about 5 hours to drive two different Onkyo TX-NR626's with all functions. It's Great! Only challenge is that volume control for Zone 2 is fixed, and therefore not usable.
When it works!
by Fdgjkskbxkxjc on 2015/02/14 04:39
Honestly for such a high end receiver that crappness that is this app is awful. Half the time it won't connect. It's very upsetting. Please fix
Great update to the App! Functional remote now!
by Dodo-that right on 2015/01/21 21:28
This app pretty much sucked before, but now with this complete refresh of the user interface along with a more intuitive layout it is much improved. It now is stabile on the network, refreshes itself when you switch to another app, or answer the phone and come back to it. Bravo Integra!! About time!! It was embarrassing before, Integra redeemed themselves with this update… Now that they have figured this network control app I’m looking forward to cool improvements in the future.
A Poor Control App
by Garry Pomerantz on 2014/12/30 23:50
The application is a feeble attempt at what a tablet based control device should be. The music library is not tab indexed alphabetically. Unless you know exactly what you want to listen to, you must scroll through your library. The tablet interface for web based streaming services is elementary. The smart tablet App is no more intelligent than the dumb remote provided in the NR737 receiver box. Onkyo should learn from Logitech's Squeezebox App which provides a smart, intuitive interface for tablet devices. Come on Onkyo, use a tablet for its intelligence not as a simple remote control.
WOW
by Lexz11 on 2014/12/09 19:26
Your last update was an outstanding improvement and it is a pleasure to use. Very nice job to the people who developed the user interface, you really did understand your user! Thank You!!!
Unstable
by Fun203 on 2014/12/08 21:34
Nice upgrade to the looks of the UI but this app disconnects way too often, switching from one zone to the other, if you were playing your phones music, it stops. You have to restart every time. Old app didn't have these bugs. Volume interface stays at the starting volume, it goes up but doesn't show it on the app. Very unstable :-(
Massive improvement!!!
by Johnnymac1202 on 2014/12/07 21:00
This new version is super stable so far on my iPhone 6. Ir now stays active in the background when switching between other apps and when the phone goes into sleep mode rather than either crashing or restarting every time as it did before. Much improved. Album art is also full-size and much better than previous version. Controls are a bit easier to operate such as the volume slider with plus and minus buttons for easier fine control. Well done.
Works ok but occasional disconnects
by ilesy2564 on 2014/12/06 00:03
Updated 6 Dec: Can't believe this is still buggy, the function to find the unit still doesn't work consistently, the new UI is an improvement but useless when you can't connect to it. My network setup is not complicated either, this is just a poor quality app still. Updated: now on iOS 8 and exactly the same problem is still happening, I have been involved in sw dev for a long time and this is not a complicated app, needs fixing ASAP. When it works everything is great, I have a dtm 40.4 connected to my digital music collection and a turntable via phono interface. App works well for basic functions (power on, power off, change source and volume which is all I need. However, occasionally the app loses the connection to the amp and will not find it again even via search. Only solution is to remove the power cable from the amp for 5 mins, reconnect it and then all is good. Annoying but very replicable, please do some further testing integra. My setup is pretty standard, amp is hard wired into an Ethernet switch which also has a wireless access point attached and I run the app on an iPhone 5 running iOS 7.1 connected to the wireless network.
Pretty good!
by mrtew on 2014/12/05 02:57
Big improvement! Looks even better and all the functions work now. And it doesn't crash anymore! This is the best remote I’ve found. I use it almost every day and it’s actually easier for many things than the ‘real’ remote over there on the coffee table.
Awful
by Sahtora on 2014/10/06 11:23
The premis of this app would be excellent if it worked. It constantly kicks you off when using the app and won't recognize hardware connected to a home network initially. The app isn't up to date at all.
Won't load
by NikandJessica on 2014/08/22 20:47
Don't buy an integra expecting to use this app.
So poorly executed
by Knuffke on 2014/08/16 18:42
Integra makes great hardware - why can't they make a great app to go with it? The lastest version continues to move the app nowhere near where it should be - still the same poor UI, menu choices that bring up nothing, and a generally illogical menu orientation. I'd pay for a great app that offered intelligent features, logically structure, and one that enhanced my integra - this is not that app.
Useless
by jeffwomble on 2014/08/14 22:47
Useless. Since update can't connect. What a worthless app.
USELESS!! Latest update ruined this app!

Zone 2 input failure
by HotRodTodd on 2014/05/11 17:06
Ok app. I have a DTR 30.3. They released the app without the ability to select a network music source for zone 2. Compared to Yamaha's AV Controller app, this Integra app is sophomoric.
Decent app before crippling bug
by Tizzom15 on 2013/09/27 21:19
This app actually functioned pretty well until I ran into an annoying bug that severely reduces functionality. One of the abilities of many models of Integra amps (my model is a DTR 50.5) is to give your inputs custom names. I decided to do this to one input last night and now the app crashes every time I try and bring up a list of inputs. I can still control the volume and turn the unit on and off but cannot switch inputs. I do not know if this bug was introduced in iOS 7 as I never tried to rename an input in iOS 6. All I know is that you should avoid renaming any inputs until this bug is sorted out. The app will function a LOT better that way. And make an native iPad version for the love of god.
Now seems to work with iOS 7
by Manfredgensenden on 2013/09/21 17:37
The app couldn't find the receiver after the update to iOS 7 at first. Now it does seem to. I hope it will continue to consistently.
Could be better
by YoshiV on 2013/09/20 03:30
Network streaming from iPhone is flaky, general app navigation is not intuitive and the slider volume control is not good...make a round knob that moving my finder on makes small volume change and put a mute button off to the side. Quit working after updating my device to iOS 7, all that after the streaming performance got better...
iOS 7 Update
by jalo74 on 2013/09/18 15:25
After updating to iOS 7 the app can no longer find my receiver. Please Update the app! The app was very useful when it worked.
Works ok, needs big fixes.
by Roubaixj on 2013/09/15 22:55
Easy to use and when it works, it works great. However, it doesn't like to connect to streaming radio like pandora. Once you restart, it works though. Simple bug fixes would greatly improve this app.
Just better than terrible.
by Howie29 on 2013/09/03 17:12
Brand new 40.5...connects but is unresponsive much of the time, crashes randomly and playback of iTunes library over network is sometimes spotty.
Works great. iPad version would be nice
by John Meersman on 2013/08/27 21:11
Gives great control over local Integra receivers. I installed 3 new receivers in a home and had total control over each one. It would be great if there was an IPad version that would rotate.
This app is a joke.
by DandaYup on 2013/05/20 21:03
The app is full of half functionalities I'm using it with my DTR-80.2 Called Integra, they said that it does not support integra units that were manufactured pre 2012. This app needs to be redesigned and made to work with all units that can networked. It's a shame that they make you pay so much then they develop a substandard app.
Just quit
by smallstuf2018 on 2013/04/07 23:43
App was good until it quit one day. Won't control anything. Recognizes my Reciever but will not work!!! Fix it please

This app does not work well. I have had to uninstall twice. Lets hope third times a charm.

What happened?
by Sunny 4249 on 2013/01/30 20:52
Used to be simple and easy but just quit all of the sudden. Same thing on floor models if just locks them up.
A little flaky.
by Wi-Fi Guy on 2013/01/05 20:05
I use it with my 40.2 and it's a pretty handy app to select inputs and change volume. I do have a few gripes though: * It is a little flaky - while navigating through iRadio or Server menus, it's not unusual for requests to spin for a while and then do nothing, or even for the app to crash altogether. Another example - when I select the Server input I often end up in iRadio. * For reasons I don't understand, it seems to prevent my phone from going to sleep and my battery drains quickly. * Biggest annoyance by far is the awful scroll behavior. Let's say you are streaming from a DNLA server. Scrolling through a long list of artists or songs is pure agony. The app makes you page through the list 10 entries at a time instead of loading entries as needed as you scroll. * There doesn't seem to be an iPad app.
Master button
by Gigtroll on 2012/12/26 18:29
Very frustrating that I have to quit the program because it won't exit out of the master button select. Doesn't stream from iPhone. "Dns" server not found. Seemed to work in previous versions.
Integra
by Eagerly dissapointed on 2012/12/19 07:08
Can't get the app to see an Integra DTR 80.2. Sees the music files but no amp. Where do I find assistance?
It's functional, but limited.
by Not deaf yet on 2012/08/31 14:58
Response is slow, this is not network related. My Crestron control system is superior to this app. But for those don't have a $40k home theater, I guess it's an okay program. What should be included is feedback from the receiver/pre processor, indicating the levels it's at.
DTR 40.2

Frustrated
by mgcattle on 2012/08/07 03:05
I have a DTR-20.3 and it will not locate my receiver when it searches to connect. I'm using an iPhone. Is there something that I need to change in my settings to make it work?
Won't play music from iPhone
by Taho3ski3r on 2012/08/05 23:06
The control work fine, but it won't play music from my iPhone. Opens and loads cover art, but won't stream music.
It's cool and free. What are you waiting for?
by John Mc on 2012/07/26 02:07
Short answer: it's a free application to control your receiver. How cool is that. I have the new 40.4, and I'm just thrilled I can do network stuff with my receiver. This app does a decent job of interfacing and controlling the receiver. Highlights of control are: - Selecting source - Controlling volume - Better access to network options. This version of the app they fixed a problem - you can now switch to another app, come back to the integra app and it still controls the unit (you used to have to quit and re-start the app). There are also some interface issues I wish they would fix, like being able to favorite a station from the app. They seem to have added a new "Music" button that will pull up your local iphone play list - but if you select a play list the app crashes. A little something to work on. But on a positive note, scrolling and selecting Internet stations on the app is a breeze - a LOT easier than the two line scrolling window on the unit. Honestly, the ability to scroll through free internet stations by location/genre with the app is what sold me on the receiver itself. This option is almost worth paying for, never mind getting it for free. There are a few nits, but overall it's a great app for not only controlling your unit, but getting better internet radio access. Go for it.
Nice App
by RobertTKirby on 2012/05/24 15:31
Nice and easy to just start some pandora without turning on the TV. Only complaint is that you can not enter the receivers IP address manually if it is on another subnet. The scan for product will not work beyond the subnet your iPad is on.
Stopped working!
by claggie on 2012/05/07 05:27
App stopped working after update. Won't control anything on my DTR 20.3. Tried all sorts of things offered by Integra and it doesn't work. Very disappointing.
Works AFTER firmware upgrade on my 80.3
by jtfischer40 on 2012/04/01 19:48
Seems to work well. Hate the fact you can't change network stations ( pandora, Sirius, etc) unless your on zone 1. So if somebody is watching a movie in zone 1. Your stuck on whatever your on in zone 2-4 until you change the network settings in zone one. Big flaw! Other then that glaring omission, it works well.
Good concept, but not ready for primetime
by SMU Control on 2012/03/11 22:49
Doesn't connect to my DTR 50.2, even though Onkotron and O-Remote have no problem. Can't figure out how to check connection settings to see if it's looking for the right IP and/or port. Demo mode shows that the app has promise, but it crashes or hangs periodically. Guess I'll stick with Onkotron.

If you have a HTM MX universal remote then there is no need for this app. However it's cool that you can get into the settings of the receiver via network. So I gave it 3 stars ! Now for the bad news . You can NOT see the receiver if it's turned off so there for you can NOT turn it on , you can ONLY turn it off! But if it's on you have total control over it.
The app works
by Army8598 on 2011/12/03 19:09
The app does what's expected. If you have issues connecting to your avr, but the avr can connect to the Internet then port forwarding on in your router's settings. Additionally Onkyo/Integra really need to add a keyboard to the app and keyboard functionality in the firmware of their AVRs

Works AFTER firmware upgrade on my 80.3
by jtfischer40 on 2012/04/01 19:48
Seems to work well. Hate the fact you can't change network stations ( pandora, Sirius, etc) unless your on zone 1. So if somebody is watching a movie in zone 1. Your stuck on whatever your on in zone 2-4 until you change the network settings in zone one. Big flaw! Other then that glaring omission, it works well.
WOW
by Lexz11 on 2014/12/09 19:26
Your last update was an outstanding improvement and it is a pleasure to use. Very nice job to the people who developed the user interface, you really did understand your user! Thank You!!!
Works ok, needs big fixes.
by Roubaixj on 2013/09/15 22:55
Easy to use and when it works, it works great. However, it doesn't like to connect to streaming radio like pandora. Once you restart, it works though. Simple bug fixes would greatly improve this app.
Unstable
by Fun203 on 2014/12/08 21:34
Nice upgrade to the looks of the UI but this app disconnects way too often, switching from one zone to the other, if you were playing your phones music, it stops. You have to restart every time. Old app didn't have these bugs. Volume interface stays at the starting volume, it goes up but doesn't show it on the app. Very unstable :-(
Works great. iPad version would be nice
by John Meersman on 2013/08/27 21:11
Gives great control over local Integra receivers. I installed 3 new receivers in a home and had total control over each one. It would be great if there was an IPad version that would rotate.
Not good
by Ilndgrl22 on 2015/09/05 17:01
Unfortunately, due to our Integra bluetooth tuner we have to use this app. It constantly crashes or cannot find device. The only way to resolve is removing the app and downloading again. Even this is crazy because the Integra remote app doesn't show up on a search. You have to go to the web and download from there .
Nice App
by RobertTKirby on 2012/05/24 15:31
Nice and easy to just start some pandora without turning on the TV. Only complaint is that you can not enter the receivers IP address manually if it is on another subnet. The scan for product will not work beyond the subnet your iPad is on.
Master button
by Gigtroll on 2012/12/26 18:29
Very frustrating that I have to quit the program because it won't exit out of the master button select. Doesn't stream from iPhone. "Dns" server not found. Seemed to work in previous versions.
Just better than terrible.
by Howie29 on 2013/09/03 17:12
Brand new 40.5...connects but is unresponsive much of the time, crashes randomly and playback of iTunes library over network is sometimes spotty.
Awful
by Sahtora on 2014/10/06 11:23
The premis of this app would be excellent if it worked. It constantly kicks you off when using the app and won't recognize hardware connected to a home network initially. The app isn't up to date at all.
Never connects
by dudeontour on 2016/07/15 22:45
Got this app to work once and seemed to be enough to access when not in the room. Have not been able to connect since. Reset everything, triple checked settings, reset router....nada.
Zone 2 input failure
by HotRodTodd on 2014/05/11 17:06
Ok app. I have a DTR 30.3. They released the app without the ability to select a network music source for zone 2. Compared to Yamaha's AV Controller app, this Integra app is sophomoric.
When it works!
by Fdgjkskbxkxjc on 2015/02/14 04:39
Honestly for such a high end receiver that crappness that is this app is awful. Half the time it won't connect. It's very upsetting. Please fix
Frustrated
by mgcattle on 2012/08/07 03:05
I have a DTR-20.3 and it will not locate my receiver when it searches to connect. I'm using an iPhone. Is there something that I need to change in my settings to make it work?
Won't play music from iPhone
by Taho3ski3r on 2012/08/05 23:06
The control work fine, but it won't play music from my iPhone. Opens and loads cover art, but won't stream music.
Stopped working!
by claggie on 2012/05/07 05:27
App stopped working after update. Won't control anything on my DTR 20.3. Tried all sorts of things offered by Integra and it doesn't work. Very disappointing.
DTR 40.2
by Phrozen06 on 2012/08/13 01:43
Love the app. We just need an iPad specific app.
What happened?
by Sunny 4249 on 2013/01/30 20:52
Used to be simple and easy but just quit all of the sudden. Same thing on floor models if just locks them up.
Uninstalled twice!
by Ratwarner on 2013/04/02 02:05
This app does not work well. I have had to uninstall twice. Lets hope third times a charm.
Just quit
by smallstuf2018 on 2013/04/07 23:43
App was good until it quit one day. Won't control anything. Recognizes my Reciever but will not work!!! Fix it please
Needs updates
by Somebodynd on 2013/02/10 14:33
No iPhone 5 support yet? In need of update badly
Won't load
by NikandJessica on 2014/08/22 20:47
Don't buy an integra expecting to use this app.
Useless
by jeffwomble on 2014/08/14 22:47
Useless. Since update can't connect. What a worthless app.

Integra
by Eagerly dissapointed on 2012/12/19 07:08
Can't get the app to see an Integra DTR 80.2. Sees the music files but no amp. Where do I find assistance?
Nice
by erikzens on 2015/03/18 02:41
Prince was incredible!
USELESS!! Latest update ruined this app!
by PRIMO468 on 2014/08/11 23:45
