App name
Offline Poker - Texas Holdem
Description
Free Offline Poker at its best! * Offline Play - play anytime, anywhere, no waiting for slow online opponents * 114 Unique Offline Opponents (some seemingly drunk and aggressive, some tight) * Fast Fold - no waiting for the next hand * Leagues - play offline, collect thousands of league chips if you go online * Optional Increasing Blinds (doubling every 5, 10 or 15 minutes) * Heads Up or Six Player Tables * Realistic sounds, and smooth animations === A NOTE ABOUT THE AI (ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE) === The cards are drawn 100% randomly and nothing is done to give the AI any unfair advantage whatsoever. The AI learned by playing hundreds of millions of hands against itself (starting completely randomly and gradually improving). To test it I had it play online on real money holdem tables and it could hold its own. It plays better than I do myself. For those users that are whining about the app being rigged against them, you should probably recognize that you don't really know how to play poker very well and that you don't have a real understanding of statistical variation. If you are unable to beat the AI and feel it rigged against you, please let me know if you play anywhere online for real money. I myself (the developer) am a less than average poker player (I lack the required patience), but I am sure I can beat you.
Good Practice Good App
by oFrizzleFry on 2019/09/18 17:08
Forget the haters. If you can’t beat the app, it means you need more practice.... plain and simple. The ability to skip to the next hand is great!! It allows you to squeeze a 5 or 6 hour practice session into 1 hour. It’s also great to test new ideas and moves for profitability. The only thing that would make it better is if it kept your player stats. Then it would be scary good for your game!!!
Awesome

I’ve played most poker apps for iPhone...
by H1Flyer on 2019/09/12 20:14
I prefer this to all the others. It is pure poker. No silly jibes or dink’s or fish, etc etc ad nausea. The AI players are easier to beat than real players, but it’s a fine experience all around.
Training options
by zach of spades on 2019/09/12 02:46
This version of poker is very helpful in tuning in your personal skill set. The game is set with many different playing strategies that you can go up against , to prepare you for more possibilities in the future. After playing a few hands on these tables, you’ve seen a variety of techniques and strategies that you can adopt, or look for at the tables in the real world. Over all, super fun to play!
OneStar
by Update re on 2019/09/11 21:54
Several reasons I’m rating this one star, first off I’ve seen many people commenting on how unlucky the cards are, and while I don’t believe the bots have better luck than you, after many hands I’m pretty certain they know what your hand is at all times and they play off of that. Bots will almost always go all in if you do and their hand beats yours, even if the sequence of events such as new cards would introduce new variables of strategy, the bots take into account your hand and theirs and bet from that rather than allowing you to bluff properly. If you want the bots to fold you have to get lucky, or you have to bet high early on. However even if my assumptions were wrong on this fact, upon reading the developer’s response to similar comments I am disgusted at the immature lack of professionalism the developer seems to have. We are customers giving your product critique, and even if we sound like idiots for calling your game rigged that does not give you an excuse to act like an asshat, I’m only more suspicious when you respond acting this way because it makes me wonder if you just don’t have a better excuse as to why your game feels rigged.
Realistic enough
by De-stress_99 on 2019/09/09 23:53
As an infrequent player I don’t have full credentials to make generalizations, but I can say this is realistic enough to suit my abilities and provides some interesting time-passing .

This is the app simple with no marketing stunt. Keep it good work. Once you have it you never let it go.
Great practice for beginners
by iSuperAwesome on 2019/09/07 15:32
I was looking for an offline app to practice. I’m new at poker. App runs smoothly and you can skip to the next hand easily when folding. In addition to reading the “Texas hold em starting hands” on Wikipedia, I believe practicing with this app has really helped me get better at playing poker. I won my first game in real life last night! 😁

by JohnnyRoastbeef1967 on 2019/09/05 01:20
Great interface, fast action, excellent concept. However, the AI is brutally good. I won’t say rigged, but BRUTALLY good. They call every one of your bluffs if they have ANY kind of hand, even a high card. They play garbage starting hands like 2-5 off suit and wind up full houses on the river, even if you consistently bet against them with a set or even straight from the flop. And they get pocket pairs far more often than you (with pocket aces coming in far more often than 1 in 221, as the odds dictate). I lost 4 flushes to full houses in 30 minutes of play. You can’t semi-bluff, either. If you catch a good drawing hand and raise, the AI won’t fold, so don’t try it. If you see the AI raise heavily and you have something decent like Kings up, forget it, just fold. They’ll have trips at worst or get a full house on the river. Pre-flop betting is aggravating and there’s a lot of AI raising, even with marginal hands. Calling is usually the worst option, since you get drawn out on consistently even if you have decent staring hand. Also, the AI does not give action if you get a nice pocket pair or a strong hand on the flop. If you raise then, they fold. Playing heads-up seems to be a little easier, and the AI doesn’t get the miracle pocket pairs or lucky draws as much. They fold much more reliably there. But heads-up doesn’t give you the nice pots that you get with a full table. All in all, the app is very well-designed and very promising, but it’s so frustrating it makes you want to break your phone. So beware.

by Doc_Daddy on 2019/09/03 16:25
I play a lot of poker and was looking for a good offline game. This one is surprisingly good but it would be 5 star with one added feature: I’d love to be able to edit the players so that I wasn’t playing against dogs or cats or presidents. The dogs and cats make it feel childish.
Enjoy playing

by Nervous, Trying To Be Helpful? on 2019/09/01 17:38
As a beginning poker player I quite like this app, I think it’s very nice to be able to learn offline. I’m sorry I can’t leave a detailed review about the AI just yet because I haven’t been playing long. I’m a bit confused about the league (what it is, how it works) because I’ve only seen the information text once and I can’t find a way to access it again. If that little bit of information could be included in the menu that would be awesome! Also, if it interests the developer, maybe there could be a menu/section that provides a bit of info on a couple of the AI profiles. This might help some players understand a couple of the opponents and their choices better, and could also allow for better feedback to the developer.
A+

by MarcelDuchamp1982 on 2019/08/28 00:45
I agree that I like the simplicity of it and everything runs very smoothly. I think you should be able to earn chips by certain good tactical moves maybe??? I dislike the surveys especially since the majority of them kick you off half way through. I do feel like the AI is too predictable. When it gets down to the last 2 (you and the AI) the AI folds way too easy. There is not enough real life decisions by the AI. Other than that I really like it. Haven’t experienced any bugs yet so that is also a plus

No fun!
by Kell-Dog on 2019/08/10 22:39
This game is designed to run you out of free chips and make you purchase more. It’s no fun. You are delt losing hand after losing hand while your opponents are delt 2 pair, aces, flush, straights... If you are delt a pair of kings, somebody will have 3 queens, if you get 3 kings, someone will have a straight flush. ITS JUST NOT FUN!!! Stand by my original assessment.. It will grind you out of chips trying to get you to purchase more. It’s not random when I get delt 2-3’s 4-5’s or 6-7’s and my opponent every time get AA, KK, QQ... and invariably a third ne on the river. It’s fixed.
Very good but

by stephers619 on 2019/08/10 00:04
I think this is a good app for newish poker players like myself who are trying to learn how to bet better. There is a lot of realism (considering you’re playing a computer) in that one day I’ll have a great game(s) and the next I’ll be out quicker than I can blink. What I really hate is that I can’t pause a game and come back to it later. The other night I was in a higher stakes game and it lasted over 3 hours and because of how many chips were on the line I didn’t want to just quit. But I basically can’t open another app while playing because 90% of the time it automatically kicks me out. frustrating when you want a break or just to respond to a text message. My other complaint is how difficult it is to get chips. There are never ads to watch available for chips and 99% of the surveys aren’t available. I’m just not gonna pay for chips I can get for free. There are other apps I can play for free also. Anyway, it’s been nice having this app to practice on. I’ve improved my skill I think.
Good Game
by PokerDude1992 on 2019/08/09 22:04
I like this game. The league play is fun. It’s fun getting first every new league, as I’ve figured the AI out ;) It would be nice if the AI could adapt to my play, but I don’t know anything about AI, so don’t know how hard that is to do. Two things though: 1) On the league rankings it says “you”, which makes sense, as it’s me—however, I don’t know what my name appears to others as, and I’d like to be able to change my name, but there’s no option for that in “Settings”. Can I change my name? Can you add a setting for name change? 2) The league named “Expert low”, is cool, but what if it was named “Pro (low, mid, etc).” The tag “pro” or “professional” is commonplace in the poker world and it feels like a better fit name for this league level. Then again, maybe there’s already a “Pro” league after expert and I just haven’t gotten there yet. -A poker fiend

Yet another terrible card game
by hdoacw sl on 2019/08/05 00:37
This game is just another dime a dozen money grubbing scam that cheats the players into buying more chips. The game is clearly rigged, as you are never given an advantage. Every time you’re given a good cards you either end up disappointed with your seemingly consistently terrible luck or you get the urge to throw your phone across the room because all the bots have better cards. Every single time.
Great site

RATIO OF ACES to opponents is a joke Plus Surveys a rip
by SAMMYDAMAS113 on 2019/08/01 16:56
UNFAIR AND UPSURD Aces of others hand compared to mine Unfair $ stacked against player (you) I can predict others hand almost 99% of time. Also if you choose to do the surveys instead of pay - 99% of time do not get points even when completed survey or get 1000s points LESS than what is advertised. !!!!

Poorly made and unrealistic
by Tanker J on 2019/07/28 13:34
I have played poker all my life and at 49 that’s a lot of poker. I have played online, home games, cash game at the casinos, and live tournaments. On top of all that I work with statistics on a daily basis. Who ever made this game made it to make money and not to be realistic. If you are new to the game and are using this game to sharpen your skills, you are going loose in a real game unless you get really lucky. This game rewords bad habits, especially its own characters. Example I just played a hand where I had a King, Queen suited and raised pre flop 10 times the big blind. I was called by a 10, 3 off suite. On the flop he still has nothing. I tase half the pot this would put him all in. It called with nothing and with the only chance winning is if I had bluffed and even worse cards then him. The odds normal person calling with trash and no chances would be so low it’s not worth running the numbers, but low and behold my opponent catches its card on the river and wins the hand. It’s almost like it knows how the hand was going to go. This is not just an example of a bad beat. I have never had so many hands go like this then I have over last two weeks playing this game. This is for the personal that reply’s to the reviews, you are childish, immature and terrible customer service ability’s. You keep beating people over the head with statistical variants like some kind of Shild. Anything that can happen will happen. Is bull $@@@ answer to criticism. As for telling your customers to go find another game this is a very poor business practice, but it is good advice.

The lower your level is the more you win the higher your level the more they set you up to lose but they keep you hooked by providing small amounts of chips if you watch ads then you get tired of losing chips and not leveling up and eventually you buy chips plus they make money from ad companies so it’s not very real but very addictive and it’s all about the money

Interesting
by pgxyq on 2019/07/05 17:16
The app does have a lot features to make the game fast and entertaining with some reality. The AI certainly knows how to calculate the odds and play aggressive but is still quite simple and easy to guess their hands once getting used to it (within a day or 2). Wish there are more play modes as it becomes boring once the only thing left to to is to harvest on the 10k table.

The best offline poker
by gixxxerkim on 2019/07/03 13:59
I love this app it helps me learn. Definitely for beginners. No timed limits to make a decision, players have personalities but can be predictable just like real people. It doesn’t save your place all the time if you close the app. If you run out of money the ‘earn’ more chips ads can be glitchy and never play. I had to delete and reinstall to get that to fix.
Higher Limits
by FamdFtoGoLLC on 2019/07/02 21:08
Game is pretty easy to beat, especially head up. I could log 500k a day over 6 or 8 hours, but I become jaded after 20-30 min of play. The gameplay is a mix between 5/10nl and 1/2, which is kinda funny but extremely exploitive. If you could implement higher stakes, that would be great. Otherwise, it gets boring grinding 10k profits at the world class table. Fun little app tho
Somthing fishy going in with this game
by dieseldon85 on 2019/07/01 20:26
Im not saying 100% this game is rigged but I have never played real live casino poker like this game does. Winning hands sometimes make no sense at all. Seems the only way to get a good hand is if you fold a few times in a row then bam you will win a couple then followed by loosing several more times unless you start just folding every hand again. Also, the developers snarky responses to the negative reviews calling them out on what seems to be obvious cheating makes you wonder if they’re mad because they’ve been caught or cant take criticism even though they BEG you for it. Idk whats going on but this has the potential to be a great app. Edit : the developers snarky response (like i said it would be) only cements the idea of this game being rigged. Maybe if you had better customer service skills people wouldn’t doubt you so much. If it wasn’t rigged in anyway which I'm not saying with 100% certainty that it is, you’re making it worse with your responses. Because i did get a quick response ill up my review by one star, i do have respect for you actually answer back even if it came off a little sideways or I'm just reading it that way because you cant really tell over on here.

4.7?!
by Banks0089 on 2019/06/15 11:50
Literally only spent a few hours playing this game but it didn’t take long to see it has its own cheating algorithm. I’ve come to the conclusion that there’s no such thing as fair game with anything digital. The simple fact that the game itself already knows the cards I’m dealt, and can alter their own hands accordingly without your knowledge proves it’s rigged. Example, I’m literally setup with king and an ace just for the stupid computer to have 3 of a kind aces in its own hand. Pretty it can counter my hand in a fraction of a second and then force me into going all in as if it knows my hand is weak. Great way to learn the game, terrible sportsmanship on their end. It’s gonna be a NO for me dog.

Love it

This is fun game that I spend too much time playing. It operates very smoothly without issues - congrats to the programmer. It looks like the AI has been tweaked so that it’s not so predictable in certain situations. I like the variety of the opponents, it does sting to lose to a sleeping cat though. I was playing with the President Bushes at the table and they appeared drunk because they were both betting wildly, often with nothing - they didn’t last long haha. People who say the game is rigged are wrong. Luck is involved, but I try to play smart and not play lousy starting hands and fold instead of going for low percentage draws when I know I’m behind. I’m up to $420k in winnings so far - I just wish it was real money!
The A.I. made me want to fold.
by SuperSayin' on 2018/05/02 23:21
I REALLY like the interface. Easy to use and I like flick up to fold/ tap to call. It can be played with one hand. So that’s a star. Also the sound is good. Nothing flashy, or jarring. Just sounds of chips and cards. Another star for that. Other than that the only positive thing I can say is it will be good practice for people wanting to learn how to deal with donk betting online. The problem is the A.I. It is a little aggressive, which can be good. It doesn’t like to fold post flop, even with weak holdings. Although it regularly makes hero folds preflop against the smallest bid. It doesn’t really seem to respond to bet sizes. It also seems to be favored. That could just be bad luck. But I played a lot. At first I thought the AI’s choices were based on equity, but that didn’t seem to hold up. It may sound like it might be a challenge, but it’s really not. It can be easily beat EVERY game if you land a couple of good hands and it has anything at all, or if have the patience and are willing to grind it out. But even when I did gamble with it and it went my way, it wasn’t really that satisfying. It was predictable and either frustrating or boring. Little in between. Although I can see how some people would like this one, so don’t take my opinion on it. It could be good practice for someone starting out and having trouble playing others online. Cheers and stuff. 🤪
OneStar
by Update re on 2019/09/11 21:54
Several reasons I’m rating this one star, first off I’ve seen many people commenting on how unlucky the cards are, and while I don’t believe the bots have better luck than you, after many hands I’m pretty certain they know what your hand is at all times and they play off of that.
Decent

No bells or whistles but fun to play
by ClydeDoingReviews2000 on 2017/07/14 23:38
This app has helped a lot while I'm still learning and improving my poker skills. There aren't many options or settings but, as a beginner, that has reduced the distractions that I've found in other games from the App Store. The opponents make logical decisions; the gameplay is consistent and challenging. I should also point out that the cards seem to be dealt randomly (some developers reduce the quality of cards received in order to overcome limitations of the AI opponents). The only thing I would like to see would be feedback in the Grandma's House version explaining why the recommendation is to check, raise, or fold. Maybe the advice text could be clicked and a bubble containing the reasoning would be popped up? In any case, I really enjoy the gameplay and look forward to future updates and improvements.
Good! But I’m a little confused.
by Nervous, Trying To Be Helpful? on 2019/09/01 17:38
As a beginning poker player I quite like this app, I think it’s very nice to be able to learn offline.
Excellent Learning Tool
by yale67 on 2019/03/22 20:58
This game, which can become addictive, provides a great way to get a feel for the game if you’re looking to start real play. This applies to all levels of play— see how a cheap game plays out or find out what’s different at each higher level. A terrific app to have if you’re killing an hour delay at the airport but it can also keep you up past your bedtime. There are a few glitches that are bothersome: sometimes when I hit the X to leave the game I’ll just get a new hand and for some reason the size of my stash sometimes doesn’t get displayed. Fix this and I’ll give it 5 and a half stars.
Perfect 2-player Hold 'em, with reservations
by Realist leveled to app buy in on 2017/06/22 07:47
Real post, I hover around plus or minus 10k chips usually in the game, simply because I find it fun to actually gamble half my wins on big hands, without the whole "I lost my life to bankruptcy" thing. This app accurately depicts those sudden death hands you want in Hold'em. The probabilities are definitely overblown on some wins like straights, or even four of a kinds. It helps you feel better though, you CAN actually game this system, and, well, that's kind of appreciated. BIG selling point for me: available offline. I can hone skills without a connection, endless hours of flights. Kinda genius.
Poker app That’s Worth Your Time
by OkamiiKen on 2019/05/07 09:59
Straight forward Poker Game that’s played offline and it is the best at what it does at that :) In my opinion this Poker game is definitely worth a try at the very least if you wanted to play Poker on the go or start off and learn to play :) -Gameplay is simple and great easy to play and straight forward no fancy UI or buttons or anything. can even be played with one hand too which is cool -Sound is nice and crisp nothing too fancy but it’s great for what it does for me -Graphics are simple but clean nothing to fancy on that part too but I like it since it plays smooth but I wish there was more different AI characters to play against but its completely fine otherwise -Fun Factor it’s fun overall and very lax too especially for a intermediate but casual player like myself :) and for a beginner you can definitely start and learn here rather than play against the pros who prey on the new players Just go try it out already if you wanted to play Poker to begin with :D
Unsatisfying
by Missklav on 2019/03/24 14:32
Started off pretty fun, but soon gets really frustrating. AI isn’t very good and follows a really similar sequence where everyone bets really small pre-flop unless the AI has big blind, then it doubles the big blind once it gets all the way around the table. AI never bluffs. It also becomes a huge grind after you knock off a couple of players where it seems like the AI refuses to bet bigger even though the stacks are bigger. No raised blinds either. Ends up becoming pretty frustrating so you just start betting to keep things moving. Unfortunately the AI won’t call your bet unless they have something killer, then you’re at a disadvantage to just keep the game moving. Fun at first, then frustrating as AI doesn’t adapt to the game as it proceeds. Uninstalled bc it was more an exercise in aggravation than strategy.
A well designed poker game that’s REALLY free to play
by BigLumox on 2019/01/23 20:48
I was extremely frustrated with all the poker game apps that are really just gateways to an online (pay) poker site. I can find my way to those sites on my own, thank you! This game is well designed: good, clean graphics, very simple to play. Good coaching at the lower levels, and exciting table play at the higher levels. I recommend not messing around with any other apps. If you just want to be able to play a little poker on your phone without all kinds of distractions, this is the game for you!
Close to great
by Steve Turow on 2018/05/30 14:41
I very much like playing this game, BUT there is a significant flaw. Once other opponents are eliminated, and a user squares off against a single opponent, the game drags on forever because your virtual opponent is unwilling to bet/bluff significantly on less than excellent hands. If both players have tens of thousands in assets and several hundred to a few thousand dollars are being bet per hand, the game does not reach resolution within a reasonable period of time, absent the user’s significant error. The only solution is to increase the mandatory per-hand buy-in over time, such that remaining players will be forced to stake significant positions as the game progresses to a certain resolution. With this improvement, the app could be great.
Good Game
by PokerDude1992 on 2019/08/09 22:04
I like this game.
Surveys non-functional
by Ken Schneyer on 2018/02/18 20:55
While I generally enjoy this app, I am disappointed that the option to obtain chip credits through taking surveys does not work on the browser for my phone. I have a recent iPhone, and the browser is the one that comes with it, but when one of these surveys comes up in the window, I am on able to skim down in order to read the entire survey; consequently I am unable to fill out truthful answers, since, for example, I do not work in an industry beginning with the letter “A.” Thus I am unable to obtain the chip credits promised in the software. I assume that this is a glitch rather than being deliberately misleading, but it is still vexing.
I did not ask for this
by Vikana100 on 2019/01/10 05:49
I liked the version BEFORE the latest update a lot better. At Grandma’s, it would tell you the hand strength, the advice, what the opponents cards were if you folded, and you could raise by multiples of the pot. Now the format for Grandma’s is just the same as any other difficulty and I almost NEVER get a good hand and the AI don’t play fair. The animation for betting and folding is really slow. Tapping to jump to the next hand should immediately jump to the next hand, not show a sped-up game. There was a separate app for people who WANTED to play with multiple opponents, why merge the two? Especially with Apple’s new automatic app updates, this game forced everyone to switch to the other version. Not cool.
Can be fun but incredibly rigged
by bebeard on 2019/01/14 19:31
I have played this off and on for a relatively long time, going back at least a year or two. It can be fun in spurts, but the rigged probability in favor of the cpu makes it frustrating more often than not. Lots of improbable losses on the river when I make a solid slow play. The cpu you is easy to beat when you pick up the pattern, which is essentially to only call their big bets when you have an already strong hand. This leads to lots of boring downtime where you are just waiting for the right cards and the right suicide bet from the cpu. Would lead to lots of more tactical fun if the probabilities weren’t so skewed in the CPU’s favor.
Update
by rfranklin626 on 2019/01/09 07:48
I like the expansion from 2 player to a whole table. It made for a more interesting game. Though I did notice — and I could be wrong and reading too much into it — that it seems whenever an opponent fell very low on money, they seemed to win their next hand. Like every time. Aside from that, though, I think the game is better now than it was when the user only played against a single opponent.
Fun game...Good review below by Super Slayin’.
by MarcelDuchamp1982 on 2019/08/28 00:45
I agree that I like the simplicity of it and everything runs very smoothly.
Worst update
by AmolYork on 2019/01/09 14:10
This developer used to have two apps, one rated over four stars and the other around one star. The update a couple days ago made the 4 star app into the 1 star app, literally, forcing the people using the better app to switch. The one star app, which this one is now, is rated so low because the improbable hands and draws the computer hits after significant betting while they have nothing. Another issue is crashing where the game just takes your chips from your account, whatever was on the table when it crashed. I would never buy chips for this and am a little disappointed to be losing a game from my phone I have played for years.
Good for learning, but it is sooooo rigged
by W.Hessert on 2018/11/06 21:43
Downloaded this game and it was awesome to learn on. The beginner level helps you learn what hands are good and gives you an idea to raise/fold/check. However once you go up levels ... the hands that come out are ridiculous. I have never seen so many 2’s and 9’s in my life, in a row, over and over, and over. As soon as a good hand comes out (such as a pair of aces etc) the computer immediately folds. No matter how good of a hand you have, the computer miraculously has a better one in any situation. It’s beyond frustrating. In summary - great app for learning how to play, but it’s so rigged it’s ridiculous.
4.7?!
by Banks0089 on 2019/06/15 11:50
Literally only spent a few hours playing this game but it didn’t take long to see it has its own cheating algorithm.
No delay to play
by UTCheadle on 2019/01/16 21:23
I really like the speed at which I can finish a hand and move on to the next. I’m curious how the other players are selected because their betting habits are sometimes more inconsistent than I would expect. A suggestion for improvement would be to add the odds of winning the pot while the game is being played or to have it as a separate section so we could learn to play smarter.
Fun and addicting
by dmstich80 on 2019/01/18 06:24
This game is great. I used to play poker with friends as a kid, but it’s been decades and it’s great to practice on an app before possibly joining a game with human players again. I am sharpening my decision making skills and quickly determining my best options in a second or less. This also lends itself to learning to evaluate a hand without any kind of verbal or physical reaction. When I do start playing with people again, I think I’ll be much better prepared. Great training tool!
Reality Game
by B/Bad on 2019/02/09 03:36
This game feels so real! It really keeps me engaged and anxious. It’s the only thing going when I am playing. I find it fairly easy to identify my fiercest opponent, but it is not an easy task to take them down. If at all. It is fun and I do like this game. However, it unfairly creates a better hand for opponents, thus, giving you a great second-best losing hand. Very frustrating! In a one-on-one situation, the opponent almost always folds and never calls even the slightest bet. Making it impossible to beat the entire table.
Nice features for newbies
by Marlowe N on 2018/06/20 02:34
I like being able to see opponent’s hand when I fold at lowest level, and the meter scoring how good your hand is. Sometimes the advice makes no sense, however, and I will have to go elsewhere to learn the terminology. I don’t have much basis for comparison. Because it seems rather time-wasting and addictive it’s fine with me that I’m out of points!
Unrealistic
by Dr5hredd on 2017/07/10 02:29
Played plenty of poker games, including the old 1:1 version of this game. Loved the multi player option but antes never increase which makes each game last hours and once you get to the final 3 the computer players mostly call each time. Good news, you can't lose too many big hands because they hardly bet. Bad news - if you are 3rd in chips it could take hours to catch up. Have yet to finish a single tourney. And that is after 5 tries and then it's a death march of checking. The lack of increasing antes makes this game worthless and maddening to me.
It is a great offline poker trainer
by kuroma99 on 2017/06/28 20:39
I rarely take the time to write an app review but this app is great for beginners and more experienced players alike, and the option to practice offline is much appreciated. I think I will playing this for quite a while! Reminds me somewhat of Apple's own Poker game released many years ago. I recommend it highly.
Not worth it
by Playin'games18 on 2018/11/02 21:25
The UX is nice and simple. But after a few days playing the AI adjusts the difficulty and starts aggressively betting which can end your round in a hurry. The CPU players consistently win on the river. It’s also interesting to watch the hand play out when you fold and incredibly your hand would have had a straight or a flush, or 3 of a kind had you stayed in. I can only guess the developers want you to lose quickly and pay to refill your chips. I suggest looking elsewhere for a fairer, more realistic game.
A.I is poor
by Glowdust on 2019/06/13 10:18
Everything else is ok, but the A.I is just... bad. Like, not bad as in easy to predict (tho a lot of times they are), but bad as in no fun to play with. The AI has no flavor, and playing with them is like playing with a random number generator. You might as well just google random number generator and click it for an hour or two. I’ve seen AI done well in other games, where they actually have a personality and is rewarding for you to figure out their tells and patterns. I’m not expert on this so I don’t know how they did it, all I know is the A.I in this game is very lackluster.
The AI is VERY troubling
by king edwad on 2018/08/17 18:22
When playing through this I did notice that my game partially improved, but the main reason for this rating is that, each hand I got was horrendous every time & when I tried bluffing the AI somehow had a straight flush or full House almost every time & if I had a really good hand they always beat me, I also noticed that in one instance I had a straight against the AIs 3 of a kind & it somehow won the pot which should not have happened & another time I was the one that had a three of a kind & it had a straight & again it won the pot absolute Bs
Great App
by Blooknows on 2017/06/18 17:19
improvements could be; 1. To add a feature by which you can see opponent's cards after the hand at all levels - helps teach bluffing strategies 2. Add a multiplayer feature, which could also connect (via BT) to another persons iPad Other than that - I like it and I like the "watch an ad for free chips" feature.
Interesting
by pgxyq on 2019/07/05 17:16
The app does have a lot features to make the game fast and entertaining with some reality. The AI certainly knows how to calculate the odds and play aggressive but is still quite simple and easy to guess their hands once getting used to it (within a day or 2). Wish there are more play modes as it becomes boring once the only thing left to to is to harvest on the 10k table.
Review for the poker app
by JuJu McBales on 2019/02/20 20:29
I like this app, because it is really good and it is not as complicated as some of the others out there. We need some ways to earn money for the game, like watching videos or something; for myself and others that might not be able to afford to buy more money for the poker game. Thanks
Simple and playable
by Rainwalks on 2017/09/19 13:18
I love the fact that I can just simply play this game. No ridiculous ads, no need to purchase anything to get past levels designed to force you to buy anything. No ads to eat up data or interrupt the game. Just a plain old poker game that helps pass the time. Exactly what I was looking for.
Good So Far
by W.O.L.F. M.A.K.K. on 2019/01/21 19:29
All is good so far, such as even havin no ads, the only thing i see should be added is an actual option to play live contestants while also havin the option of playin for just fun or for real money and training options for those whom are new to this, but other then that, so good so far 🤔🤔😊
Absolutely not random
by eezy123 on 2018/10/14 14:18
The first and foremost problem with this game is that any time you were dealt a high payer such as cases, Kings, and sometimes queens the computer will fold automatically against you, after playing this game for six months or more I don’t think I’ve ever been able to play pocket aces. Difficulty does not increase based on the game that you’re playing, the difficulty between a $100 game and a$10,000 game is absolutely no difference. The algorithms are not random do not listen to what the creator tells you this game is absolutely a scam.
Game is fun but also rigged
by wesleyorion999 on 2019/07/14 17:10
The lower your level is the more you win the higher your level the more they set you up to lose but they keep you hooked by providing small amounts of chips if you watch ads then you get tired of losing chips and not leveling up and eventually you buy chips plus they make money from ad companies so it’s not very real but very addictive and it’s all about the money
Great App
by Jwells89 on 2019/07/12 03:13
Absolutely love this app. Just recently started playing poker and this app was very beginner friendly. Worked my way up to more challenging games and now the competition really keeps my mind working lol. 5 stars, I consider myself an experienced poker player now because of this app. 😁😁😁
Not good
by chipdilat on 2019/03/06 14:49
App does not deal randomly. Got down to the last player and that player would constantly get better hands by a long shot. Played same player for almost three hours. Then I noticed that the player was awarded the pot with a pair of tens (from the community cards) with king high in her hand. I had of course the same pair of tens with a seven in my hand which paired with a seven in the flop giving me two pair! I showed my wife to make sure I was seeing it right and she agreed. So uninstalled the app and will look for something else.
Game cheats
by Ilvbmx on 2018/12/31 04:08
The algorithms are biased. The computer opponent hits big hands on rivers about 50% of the time on a big pot and folds when you min bet a good hand. Very difficult to play against when it wont engage unless it has a really good hand. Sometimes it bets preflop every time so you cant limp in any hands. There is no action unless the player and computer both have good hands preflop. 1 star. Dont waste your time, this game is not helpful, does not reflect anything close to an actual person playing. Shame on the creators.

Nicely done game to work on my hold’em skills without any real pressure. Like the hand strength a lot. Very useful. However, really wish I could turn off the advice. It gets in my head and affects my decision making. Currently covering it with my left thumb which gets a bit tiring to always line it up right. Thanks, Jim
A major flaw.

The game is great to play, and is well thought out, but has a major flaw. If you leave it loaded in your phone, and come back to it later, half the time it will quit and take you out to the homepage and start over. This is frustrating since it does not allow you to complete a game. If this was fixed I could give it 4 to 5 stars.
Not Random by Any Measure
by CadillacBall on 2018/12/02 18:53
Playing is straightforward, but the opponent almost always has the edge. I believe the algorithms used to draw cards at random need to be reworked. It is mathematically highly improbable that, after thousands of hands, the opponent is consistently dealt aces and pairs, while I consistently am dealt 9-2, 8-3 and other low combos. You can still win if you go all in on the initial deal, but after a while, play becomes dull when you are seldom dealt a playable hand.

Awesome

by H1Flyer on 2019/09/12 20:14
I prefer this to all the others.

The dogs and cats make it feel childish.

by Nervous, Trying To Be Helpful? on 2019/09/01 17:38
As a beginning poker player I quite like this app, I think it’s very nice to be able to learn offline.

I downloaded this game to learn how to play poker. It is easy to use and a great way of seeing how the hands unfold. Nice confidence booster cause you aren’t playing with real money either.

The betting is not realistic. Long games are boring. I like the interface and minimal sounds.

The River always favors the app. Play long enough and you will lose. They do this to drive up revenue through purchases or advertising.
4.7?!
by Banks0089 on 2019/06/15 11:50
Literally only spent a few hours playing this game but it didn’t take long to see it has its own cheating algorithm.

Decent

Game cheats

The algorithms are biased. The computer opponent hits big hands on rivers about 50% of the time on a big pot and folds when you min bet a good hand. Very difficult to play against when it wont engage unless it has a really good hand. Sometimes it bets preflop every time so you cant limp in any hands. There is no action unless the player and computer both have good hands preflop. 1 star. Dont waste your time, this game is not helpful, does not reflect anything close to an actual person playing. Shame on the creators.
Feature Request: Toggle Advice on/off setting

Nicely done game to work on my hold’em skills without any real pressure. Like the hand strength a lot. Very useful. However, really wish I could turn off the advice. It gets in my head and affects my decision making. Currently covering it with my left thumb which gets a bit tiring to always line it up right. Thanks, Jim
A major flaw.
by ikk25 on 2019/02/16 23:28
The game is great to play, and is well thought out, but has a major flaw.
