I’d pay to buy it. But I will not subscribe.
by streetreportpod on 2019/09/16 13:43
Pay once and be done with it is how it should always be. Thank goodness im grandfathered in on older versions. From games to video editors to music every category of the App Store has gotten worse since the introduction of subscriptions. I will not pay a subscription but certainly would have bought the app.

Very happy with the new version the best app
by CHACKO SIXX on 2019/09/14 22:03
Now the update is the best thanks new comment.....Hi, Why is it that the old version has where u can create you own samples, but the new version you cannot create u own samples I think that there are a lot of DJs they do use the samples that the new version has, and would u consider this problem because in the future it could be a big help for a lot of DJs, and thank for reading my message and this is the best software in the world Please, Please, Please, try to added this tool... I’m afraid of losing my old app program...thanks

I cannot for the life of me get this app to work with my music through Apple Music. What good is it to have a Dj app WITHOUT ACCESS TO MUSIC! This is terrible. If anyone knows a solution please let me know . As of now, I wish I could give this app no stars.

by Fllatin85 on 2019/08/29 04:36
The only down side for me is that if you’re using an effect or if your changing a tracks bpm when having another track cued at a specific starting point the memory won’t be good enough and will release the track a few beats before or after its cue mark. So in order for this not to happen I have to have no effect on and keep the track I’m about to mix in it’s original BPM. Other than that this app does wonders when wanting to DJ for yourself or your friends.

Good app, but I can’t afford
by TheWinterWonton on 2019/08/26 15:02
I got it and it was fine. But since I don’t have any songs on Apple Music, I had to connect Spotify. I put in my info and then it said I need a Spotify premium subscription. So basically i can’t use the app if i want to use for free. And even if I had premium, I couldn’t use half the app if I didn’t get Pro. So everyone looking for a free dj mixer, take this as a warning
It’s the dj app you want
by Codymtc on 2019/08/26 12:22
Definitely worth the subscription with this app you get what you pay for 🤙🏽
Let down
by Supercheeks on 2019/08/25 19:37
Been using djay app for years, thinking I’m going to update to the new version and I get this. A paid subscription...wow! what a let down!!! I really have no words to describe my disappointment at this moment, don’t give these jerks $5 a month, I’m just going to continue to use old version of djay pro, “which I paid for” and will never receive an update unless I fork out $5 a month. Who do this guys think they are...jerks that’s what they are!!!!! I seriously hate this app now!!!!!

by Lilwarrior24 on 2019/08/25 17:38
I really feel as if they should allow the recording feature in the free version. There’s really no point of the app if you’re unable to save your creation.. very disappointing and frustrating.

AutoMix Failure
by jclivs on 2019/08/22 16:31
Upgraded from DJay 2 to this app in order to have better AutoMix features. Epic fail. When using Spotify to AutoMix, it for some reason clears the que after about 4 or 5 songs play and says need to add music and stops playing. Add playlist to AutoMix doesn’t give you an option to select an actual playlist. And unlike DJay 2, you can’t quickly add a existing Spotify playlist to AutoMix. Have to go through each song and click add to que. Which is all again pointless because the queue glitches and removes all the songs as mentioned above after half a dozen songs play. Please fix...DJay 2 is much more stable but missing a few key features that made me want to switch.
So many problems they delete 1 star reviews

This is good in a little easier to use, I can use my music in my music video ran off the phone, I don’t have to use sound cloud or iCloud to transfer music, it also recognizes the audio portions of downloading videos, another handy option.

Now this is an update! Such wonderful changes that make this an actual working dj app, nothing but good things to say about this latest update. When I downloaded this app like 2 yrs ago I felt so bummed because I had payed for another version that was a waste of money, it was so bad I erased it from my phone. So I went back to Djay 2, but I just re-downloaded this version again and it amazing . Happy happy

30 years of DJ’ing and now prefer this
by DJ_Erv on 2019/08/20 16:51
I do about 60 gigs a year as a side hustle. Started with turntables, then to CDJs, then to just controller with laptop. With the latest version of DJAY and its ability to use most controllers and an ipad, this makes going from gig to gig so much easier. I can use my large Pioneer or Denon controllers when needed, but for those times when I need to go super compact I bring out a Reloop Mixtour or Pioneer Wego. In a pinch, I’ll use a Mixfader and a split audio cable. Mixing with an Apple Pencil in one hand and a Mixfader in the other is pretty fun. For about 75% of the gigs I’ll leave my laptop behind and just use the iPad Pro with DJAY. I love using Traktor on the laptop, but the Spotify integration with DJAY really comes through when you have to play unique requests that might not be in your library or available in record pools. There has been struggles to see which controllers work good and which ones start to glitch after awhile. The controller editor is easy to use. I do appreciate that the app is constantly being updated.

dJay is a well designed application that makes it easy for professionals and more importantly non professionals to mix music. The comprehensive set of tools for free users is incredible and almost limitless for premium users. The app does a great job of starting users out with a quick tutorial of the functionality and the options one has. This app is a great recommend for music lovers of all types and capabilities.

I really enjoyed the app. It could use a few adjustments but maybe I’m just not experienced in djing. This is definitely a great app for people who want to just make some music at random times even if they are not experienced djs. If you are a pro I don’t really know what pro dj sets look like but I think it is different than this. This is more for people who want to just experiment.

5 star for a trillion reasons
The visuals are not working.
by GiveGet on 2019/03/09 00:06
I have owned every version of the Djay app. I also own the Vjay app. The previous versions have been great. This new version has been a big disappointment. Too many bugs. The visuals do not work properly, there is a huge pause when trying to pull up my music lists of songs and when playing the loops the visuals pause. My music videos also pause. I own 2 iPad Pro’s and both are having the same issues. It appears this new version is pulling visuals from my previous Djay Pro app on one deck and the other deck will not play visuals at all. The visual issue started with the recent update. The pausing problem has been an issue from the beginning. At this point it is not reliable enough for me to renew my subscription.
Bait and switch (updated)
by Nightliker on 2018/12/31 18:27
I previously wrote an angry review with one star for this app. I am seriously annoyed with companies switching to a subscription model instead of supporting apps or desktop applications people have already paid for and expected support for. That said, I am updating my review and rating due to the fact that this update is excellent. It’s the best DJ app on iOS. For 4 stars, I implore Algoriddim GmbH to allow for more comprehensive editorial of the beat grid. Bonus points for allowing the user to create new audio files with truncated versions of tracks. Some songs have sliding, evolving, or distinct tempo sections. “Batdance” by Prince is a great example. There’s basically another song embedded in the middle of that track. As a vinyl DJ I understand that skill can overcome these limitations, but as an Apple customer who just bought a powerful new iPad Pro, I want my machine to use all it’s processor power to make my life easier and to free up my brain goo processor for other creative activities (microphone banter, visuals, dance-offs, etc). For 5 stars, make this app compatible with Audiobus technology (like DJ Pro is/was). I would also suggest, if they are receptive, ask Ableton if “DJ” can read .ALS files so that all the warp marking labor undertaken by users can be interpreted non-destructively (ie: without rendering a new audio file). Keep up the good work.
Almost there!
by Zooforce on 2019/05/16 13:36
Firstly, it a glorious app on a 12.9 iPad Pro! My main complaints resonates with everyone...we need a way to get songs into playlist without using internal storage. Using Files is great but it copied to internal iPad storage ...someone with 32gb ouch! Perhaps you should develop a storage device? Secondly, the need to import sample libraries...I have many loopmasters packs that I would love to import, that should be easy we are already copying to Djay song folder. Or are you holding that feature so it’s a point release and raise the subscription price? You have the ability to pioneer iPad DJing and get many users on board...don’t screw it up by playing the Traktor game. This is finally a game changing app and you are leaps ahead of other software companies, it’s time to set a great example! The other thing is to add the ability to adjust EQ and Filter frequencies..Denon Prime 4 can do it so should you!!! And lastly importing cue points from other programs like Engine, Traktor and Serato. And let’s all say hi to the hardest working employee Lucas🤪
We asked for more features on Djay Pro, and this is what we get.

If anyone used the previous generation of the djay series and was in fact following along with the forum, you should be aware that they were willing to add more ideas such as ableton link to djay pro. However, the devs showed up once to support it never since. Well, Now we know why. They weren’t talking on the forum because they knew that they wanted to get more money off features that were requested. It’s important to note that the djay series has been attractive because it was a one-time payment app that beat all other one-time payment djing app. This, however, defeats the trust of the djay series. Even with the 83% off for djay pro users, it’s still outrageous that you pay $9.99 for a year worth of djay, when there are better alternatives at that price range such as the soda. For those of you trying out the djay app for the first time, don’t bother with this one even if it seems very attractive. Get alternatives or the older djay pro. They are only missing a few things and often times they’re cheaper than $9.99 for a one-time payment.
What a mess...
by Spacewaitress on 2019/02/22 17:26
I’ve been using DJ Pro for years and love it. Unnecessarily complex doesn’t begin to describe this hot mess of an “update.” I am constantly hitting menu buttons to change views back and forth just to do some basic mixing. In 4 deck view, you cannot control the basic volume of the track and the FX controls at the same time because they are on two completely different pages! ???!!!??? The library (as others have mentioned) is now so small and complex that it’s difficult to find the next song quickly so you can get back to mixing. This is not an update, it’s a downgrade and a waste of money. I paid my $9.99 to try it out. Learn from my mistake, save your money and buy a real DJ program, because this app is not it. And seriously, what is the subscription for and where is the value for the monthly fee? The loops? We have to punch through so many menu options just to get there (and back) that the song will be over before we can even add a basic kick or snare to our mix. What a waste.
A great blind accessible djay app!!!
by outasite conga on 2019/08/02 03:00
This app is voiceover accessible app on IOS and OS X. It has great keyboard commands to control everything. I am not enjoying it as much as the non-subscription based djay pro 2 because there are so many great features that simple features such as the queue playlist is not that easy to access when using the VoiceOver screen reader available on I devices and Mac. But that being said, I still use it every day and find that it is easy to get carried away throwing on on song after song mixing and cutting up dope beats for hours. Thank you Algoriddim!
My review of this app over the years
by TTYLTT on 2019/02/08 18:52
to the developers of this app, I want to say a big thank you for coming up with one of the best mobile dj apps of all time ( djay 2 ). I have been using djay 2 for years and I came to master all of it before the new version which now comes with the subscription. I will ask that certain issues be addressed with the app. I honestly prefer the older djay 2 over the new one because of how simple and well placed the entire app was made. My only concern over the years was how sound output distorts when you lock the key and increase the tempo of any particular song. It’s very identical to that of virtual dj which is very bad. Serato does this key lock thing so well. I’d be more than happy if the developers found a way to push the best of sound output from this app as much as possible. Thanks
COME ON WHAT IS THIS SUBSCRIPTION CRAP!!!

One more product I am dumping because the company decided that making money was more important than servicing their products. I have the previous version (which I will no longer upgrade for fear that it will get broken and then lose support) and it is fine. All these companies think that they can charge monthly money for apps and it is just garbage - people are not made of money and don’t want to pay forever for an app... I say either go back to a purchase price or lose more customer... What’s better $40 you get and it is yours, or $60 per year that I’m not giving you and a lot of other people won’t either... Seems like everyone is trying to nickel and dime the consumers with their “in-app purchases” or “subscriptions”... At least with IAP I get to choose whether things are worth it to me - and I can buy them and then THEY ARE MINE... I’m done... Not buying these subscription apps ever again...
It’s a great app! But the update—
by Tokiladoki on 2019/01/12 17:42
After the recent update, a feature I often used was the ability to change the song’s pitch no matter what speed it was playing at. It’d be nice to have that back. Right now you can only play the song at its original pitch regardless of speed or at the pitch of the set speed....like, I can’t play the song at a higher bpm and have it at a lower pitch than the original, I miss doing jams like that. Actually that was the only reason why I used this app over eDjing for a while. Buts that feature is gone now....hmmm I paid for the premium version hoping the feature would be there but was disappointed to find that it wasn’t. Eh, I don’t really see a reason to use an app that doesn’t have different features from the competition in general.
Subscription: no way!
by Nai-De on 2018/12/15 21:59
Been buying this from since it was first released. Downloaded this one to to enable the review: Will be deleted right away. Subscription pricing is a rip off: people want to get paid in perpetuity for no work. You sell a product I like, I pay for it; you negligently ship it with bugs, you fix them for free. You add significant new features, you make a new major version, and I decide if it’s worth buying, or if what I have satisfies my needs. That’s honest business. I wish upon all companies who do subscription pricing, that others do the same onto them: office chairs that charge each time you sit down, doors that charge each time you open or close then, your bed is on renewal, and if your credit card number changes, and you forget to update them: all you find are spikes when you try to sleep. Your blue couch in the living room is unexpectedly suddenly “upgraded” to a neon orange one, and half your things are suddenly on the floor because it was decided that the “cabinets” feature isn’t used by enough people, and thus was simply removed. Laziness! You want your users to pay you for the product, the fixing of the bugs, the development of changes to the product (that they may not even want or like), and even for the downtime.
Price Factor
by TimBsTechTalk on 2019/06/02 13:15
I’ve always loved Djay, not as as a DJ (which I’m not) but as someone who enjoys the opportunity to learn things on his own without having to hire someone else. I’m also creative so I like to try different things. The push to make subscriptions a normative way to use apps has caused me to eliminate 80% of the apps I use. Why? Money. I’m not rich. I have compared paid models to subscription models and have found the increase in price to be extremely excessive to say the lease. Pricing models are not inevitable; they are invented by business leaders who want make money. I get it. If I used apps for business purposes, I would understand the value of subscriptions but I use them mostly as opportunities to learn new things and have fun. Unfortunately I won’t be learning or having as much fun as I used to. I remember many years ago when you could download Djay for free for the desktop. Even then, I found Djay to be one of a kind. I think the history I have with using apps informs my view of things. I think you are one the best developers out there. I wish you continued success. Unfortunately I will be observing from the sidelines.
I like the direction, but it seems unfinished...
by Gettinittogethet on 2018/12/15 16:18
I've been looking forward to being able to create playlists from multiple sources, so I'm happy about that. I also like the style of the new interface. There are some things missing that make it impossible for me to convert to this app just yet. 1. Automix AI. Fine idea. I desperately need to be able to turn it off though! It ruins the listening experience, starting songs too far into them and ending songs too early. 2. Importing my own music files directly into the DJay app. While I was able to import and okay a file, and save it to a playlist, when I reopened the app later the sing was greyed out and not available to play. 3. In DJay pro I was able to use Automix and the visualizer simultaneously. Now, if I start music in Automix and switch to the visualizer, Automix is cancelled. I'd like to be able to play Automix music with the visualizer playing because 1. I like it, and 2. because it's the only way to keep the screen from going to sleep without having to go into settings and manually turn off the screen sleep timer.
Not worth the upgrade
by BIG BUDA on 2019/07/12 13:40
I have used the DJay apps for many years from Djay 2to Djay Pro. The newest app from Djay is very confusing. The loading of a playlist for a party is more confusing than the previous apps. Also while you have a playlist playing and a friend want you to load a song in the middle of the playlist to play next it does not allow you to do that or I have not found a function for it. Overall it has more features, which is always good but unfortunately now requires you to pay a weekly subscription for it. I think this is very very inconvenient compared to djay Pro where it’s a one time payment for the app. I will now be deleting the newest app from Djay and reverting back to the old djay Pro. Very disappointed
Was a great app before this terrible update.
by 458cjsjd69*69852gbgh on 2019/05/26 17:07
Let me first say, I loved the Djay Pro app before it became this. I had been using Djay Pro, the iPad Version, for years. I paid 9.99 when it first came out, and I fell in love. Fast forward to years later, the Djay Pro app I paid for had been replaced with this free “Djay” app. I updated, only to find that my favorite app had been replaced with this trash, add-filled mess of an app. Plus, I originally paid for Djay, and now all that got me was a trial of their subscription based service. Why Djay, WHY! You ruined a great paid, professional app with a free, but subscription based app that is amateur and bad, with zero regard for the people who willingly paid the 10-30 dollars on the pro version. If they could bring back the old Pro version and leave this app as the free version, that would be fantastic.
Subscription is not the way.
by Techprogamer101 on 2018/12/14 14:15
Although this app looks really really good design wise, I don’t think Subscribing to get all the features we had in djay 2 and djay pro. We should just be able to to pay one simple fee for everything. Not pay monthly. For the people who owned djay 2 and djay pro with all the features we paid for they should transfer over to this app so at least we can get what we all ready had. The fact that we have to subscribe for the features we already paid for in djay 2 and djay pro is stealing from us because we paid only ounce for those features and now we have to pay monthly. I don’t think I’m going to switch use this app for a while. Probably never because I want to have the features I use on a daily without having to pay for them monthly.

Hi there , I’m a beginner DJ just started about 3 mouths ago and I’m enjoying DJay pro.. I love the simplicity of the Interface and everything is at your fingertips.. For me the looper and samples are really nice because I can make my own track/beat to use as a transition to a new song.. if I have any complaint about it , at times my looper sounds won’t work. The looper section will pull up but it won’t be available for me to use from time to time.. if I can get some advice about fixing it now we cool? But everything else is a-o-k with me!
Needs some work/touching up
by BAG201 on 2018/12/19 04:39
New interface is nice but a lot of tools have changed and offers minimal to no customization. Key example: The loop format doesn’t allow quick loops anymore with Out button. Other things to note, all set cue points from previous app version were discarded after upgrade. Can not scan and analyze all music for BPM rates. Cover art on vinyl is small now & still no Apple Music integration. I know this new format is fairly new but it needs some work. I loved this app in the previous version and hope it reverts back to having some of its original controls. “If it’s not broke don’t try and fix it” . In this current state it’s not worth the price. Hopeful for some updates in the near future.
Almost 5 stars
by Leecifer827 on 2019/07/14 07:59
So i used this app for a while when i had a beatpad 2 and mixon 4 for ios and they worked pretty flawless but then i wanted more controller options so switched to cross dj but now with pretty much being able to map any midi controller and how well it works with ddj 200 ive switched back on a free trial of the current djay since i had purchased PRO version way back. Im thinking of keeping subscription its just id like to be able to add fx on the loops/clip section . But other than that this app is great a lil confusing at first but thats because it gives you a lot of options
Automix doesnt work on free version
by Morochos92 on 2018/12/28 06:00
Hi, i recently dowloaded this app, to replace my old version of djay (version 4.2.3). The auto-mix on the older version. was great! The one on this version is terrible, i cant get it to auto-play. Every time i try to start the automix function, it sends me back to the main page asking me to upgrade to pro. I only dowloaded the free version because i really just need the classic and automix functions. i would even pay for the basic version (classic and auto-mix) if it worked But It doesn't make sense for me to sign up for a $4.99 monthly plan when i only use the app to play music during xmas, new years and maybe 1-2 private parties, just for fun. So please tell me what i can do to use djay on my iPad ann iMac. Or Can i get the old version back? Tks
Great app to get your feet wet, and beyond!!
by A.J. Drew on 2019/07/08 20:45
Great app for learning fundamentals and grasping different concepts. If you want to learn to Djay this is a great place to start, and gauge your “actual” interest before going out and spending a ton of money on expensive equipment. I recommend getting good at beat matching, and playing around with the production preset tools/samples for a month or two first. If you’re still into it, then look into some of the suggestions they offer for accompanying HW to move to the next level.
Not really good for subscription
by mikolitafun on 2019/05/30 20:27
I am subscribed to this DJ app, and even though is a great DJ app, it has failed and disappointed me as a subscription. The central element of any subscription is to provide NEW CONTENT . This is a monthly payment so I expect new content like loops, samples and video packs. I subscribed to this app from the moment it came up and only ONCE have they provided new content. Also, no major improvements have been made. I have emailed them multiple times, and they do respond but my suggestions have never been implemented. Algoriddim if you expect people to continue supporting you with monthly payments, you have to deliver the goods!
So good! Such a huge improvement from the last.
by Mr.Fabian NYC on 2019/08/22 00:11
Now this is an update! Happy happy
Epic tool, keep it up 🙌🏼
by Mcali7 on 2019/06/18 18:51
Like all things , it’s what You make Of it . Plain and simple. This is like a well written book, it has all that you need it’s up to you to decipher it. While full production isn’t as available as other pad focused apps, this has what you need to keep a party going / turn up in the car before the fest!/ or just keep yourself busy during cardio. Looking forward to what more you guys can bring ! 🙏🏼
Was a loyal supporter....
by censored1 on 2018/12/16 08:37
Will not use this new subscription based app. It’s thievery, bye Felicia✌️👎 DJ Pro just needed the audio and video effects, and sync feature enhanced but you reinvented the wheel and tried to charge a subscription fee?! The new loop feature is trash and you can’t even mix as well on the new app, not to mention it’s buggy as hell. You couldn't make more money on enhancing the product for customers who had already purchased it so you created a new app.....pretty crappy business practice to screw your own customers over. Can’t believe after all this time this is the best app you could come up with. Company is on the back side of the parabola. Do not buy this app, get DJ Pro if you can.
Love this app
by Fllatin85 on 2019/08/29 04:36
The only down side for me is that if you’re using an effect or if your changing a tracks bpm when having another track cued at a specific starting point the memory won’t be good enough and will release the track a few beats before or after its cue mark. So in order for this not to happen I have to have no effect on and keep the track I’m about to mix in it’s original BPM. Other than that this app does wonders when wanting to DJ for yourself or your friends.
Best DJ App in the market
by Mists Frost on 2019/07/05 05:03
I love DJay. I like to refer to my self as the pocket DJ because I can always pull out my iPhone or iPad and entertain on the fly. I first got it as a back up Incase something went wrong with my computer or mixer. Then I realized I can actually do a whole party with this app. I can practice mixing where ever I am, and it comes in handy when people want you to DJ for free. Why lug around all that equipment when all I need is my iPhone big speaker and split cable.
Here we go.
by Matthew Mullins on 2019/03/19 13:11
If I’m not using pacemaker or edjing, this is the one and it’s probably more versatile than both those apps. This one has four cue’able mixing tracks, which makes it. More convenient for mixing live.... because you can set it up and then go get your drink or take a whizz... so thanks for that oh great creator of apps that cost me a fortune but allow me the context of a real experience while being a DJ. Seriously thanks for that.
Next level
by jungalist! on 2018/12/13 22:30
It’s all about the selection and performance, this app makes the DJ truly a performer, mixing is secondary these days, it’s the remix and performance that makes you stand out, this is the tool for that. I’ve been with djay since the beginning and the innovation from these guys is mind blowing. A serious pro piece of kit that an amateur can get to grips with in minutes. Nice one djay.
Subscription? Really? Deserves 5 stars but...
by Kümar on 2019/02/07 01:05
This app is, in all Sincerity, the best DJ app in the app store, Period. As an app. However, along with everyone else that has been using this app for years, to get squeezed by everyone for more money each month instead of buying a product and owning it with regular packs, updates and things to add on or be purchased as we go just seems greedy. It is a fantastic app but I think i’m going to spend my money somewhere where my penny is valuable as a customer; not as a cash cow. I suggest you all do the same.
Rlly?
by Roobug90 on 2019/04/08 02:26
I am putting it as a 1 star because I was expecting something FREE but that is fake... you have to pay for it! Which ticks me off because nobody says that it isn’t free and the app is free.... your just looking for money just make people pay like 2$ and there in for life that would make My life so much better but noooooo you have to make people pay like 5$ just for a stupid dj app that you need a iPad for which is already a few hundred dollars so basically it is more than a mixing table to actually save money... so your bad at thinking about how much money people have and your thinking that everyone had enough money to supply your life... (not employees).
The djay I used to know got ruined.
by CreeperAngel152 on 2018/12/29 05:36
Ever since 2015, I started to like djay through my life and it really worked well helping my channel get better by making good music. Your new app is good but the PRO pay monthly thing is that I don’t like. Is like wasting money every month instead of getting the whole thing in one buy. Is just that is not the same djay I used to know. the PRO monthly thing torn me up, which I don’t know how am I gonna make music for my channel using the visualizer because, of course, of the PRO monthly thing.
Bait and switch
by DarkheartLives on 2019/04/12 16:38
I’m revising my previous one star review, with an apology to the developer. I thought the basic version didn’t work at all and you only had 7 days to try it out before the high subscription rate kicked in. I think I was wrong, the basic version is working for me and I confess that I really like it. I still wish I could functionality on an a la carte basis instead of signing up for a subscription, but so far I’m otherwise impressed.
Great app
by IT'man on 2019/03/14 04:02
For the most part I enjoy this app, I can do lots of mixes whether it be to add my lyrics or to mix a new song it can happen, but why does it have to crash so much, wasn’t for that I would give it 5 stars, so please fix, it freezes, and it has other bugs when you try loading a track it will jump to next track without you doing anything, or just keep skipping tracks and nothing plays at all
Huge update
by ROMUALDHINO on 2019/06/27 11:06
I downloaded this version because they have it working side by side with Djay Pro 2. I refused to upgrade earlier because the version then was bare bone for basic . Now that i have tried the newest Pro version, i like it a lot. I got for free for the next 6 months. Enough time to decide if it is worth 4.99 a month.
djay
by D. Hill on 2019/08/16 12:31
dJay is a well designed application that makes it easy for professionals and more importantly non professionals to mix music. The comprehensive set of tools for free users is incredible and almost limitless for premium users. The app does a great job of starting users out with a quick tutorial of the functionality and the options one has. This app is a great recommend for music lovers of all types and capabilities.
Great new functionalities, but many bugs to fix
by Kbenitez138 on 2018/12/18 16:24
I fell in love with djay 2, which actually kickstarted my love for djing. I was excited to see there was finally some kind of major update, but it took me pretty long to get accustomed to the new layout and such. At parties, I love to automix in the beginning because well, I have a life too. But automix has almost no customization or options or settings or anything like that. Besides that, I’ve already experienced a couple of crashes and plenty of lags. Lucky for Algoriddim, I do not mind paying the stupid subscription, but this app NEEDS to be fixed. Please.
WOW! Everything I always dreamed of
by Vdrumpro999 on 2019/06/25 18:18
This takes full advantage of my pioneer SX2 better than serato. It runs perfectly on an old iPhone SE while my i7 laptop struggles not to clip and lag on serato. Fan-freaking-taskstic work guys, not a fan of the subscription model but $50/year pales in comparison to want I’ve spent between tracktor and serato. Extremely, extremely pleased.
Pretty good
by kehfmfbjsvjnfj on 2019/08/12 01:56
I really enjoyed the app. It could use a few adjustments but maybe I’m just not experienced in djing. This is definitely a great app for people who want to just make some music at random times even if they are not experienced djs. If you are a pro I don’t really know what pro dj sets look like but I think it is different than this. This is more for people who want to just experiment.
Great app
by Rendon22 on 2019/05/30 18:32
This is a great app been a DJ for a long time I’m not getting any younger but with this app it makes it much easier to DJ thank you again. And also one thing I love about the app I have it on my iphone I have it on my iPad have it on my computer never have to worry if one of my devices goes down because I have back ups.
Abandoned apps
by scharrface on 2018/12/18 17:05
I bought djay pro, and bought all the fx. Now that app no longer exists on the App Store, and they want me to buy the new app, which requires a subscription. New features, but only for subscribers, no matter how much money you’ve already spent on this developer’s one app. No thanks. I see that consumers are just a commodity to content developers, who think that they can do whatever they want with their consumers. One day soon, your indifference to what your consumers actually want will come crashing down on you. Not you personally, all misguided content creators.
This update is packed with features...
by Qyasogk on 2019/02/16 04:42
Having read a lot of reviews that suggest that there is something shady about the recent update. Clearly none of you have actually read or used any of the new features. For starters ALL the sounds effect banks are FREE now. You can mix with video, set up your own loop decks (while mixing with tracks on the vinyl decks). The added flexibility and liquid smooth transitions, and the new UI which gives much more area and accuracy to the effects controls is awesome. As someone who’s been using this app for the past several versions this is a great update. Worth your time to check it out.
Old Dj app is far superior then this one
by Assadaria on 2019/05/02 23:37
This new subscription app has nothing better then the old version. Dj app already reached its pick in 2015 if you have the Dj app, sweet don’t upgrade you will lose a lot and as for others that don’t have the app god bless the App Store there is 1 million one time purchase apps for the fraction of the price. I suggest algorithm put an option like some of the other apps do like an optional one time purchase next to monthly subscription then it will be more reasonable. Because no one wants to pay forever for app they use once year 🤪
Takes all the guess work out of djing
by Beau Flex on 2019/05/22 02:23
... And by guesswork I mean skill! For real though, this application essentially removes all need of record selection and mixing technique so you can look amazing in front of your friends and family members. Start booking wedding gigs now because this little app is all you need!

I have Been an avid supporter and user of Algoriddim Products for Approximately 7 years. And their software has not let me down to date. They are hands on with their software and take user feedback and reported bugs seriously. So paying 9.99 for 1 year for the New App is fine with me. Thanks Algoriddim
Best app ever!!!😁
by TMAtwood on 2019/02/19 21:05
I’ve used a lot of DJ apps and this one by far is my favorite because it has the integrated loops that you can use along with the video integration. However one downside is that I can’t create my own samples. Oh well I hope that u guys pay attention to this review and add it in the future. Otherwise party on.
please get this app even if you aren’t a DJ
by BlackCracker361 on 2019/05/11 22:15
one of the best apps i have ever used! i have the second and first version of djay and i use both of them everyday. i would recommend this app to any and everyone and i can’t wait to see how they could possibly improve an already perfect app!
OMG! You won’t be sorry!
by soawesomeperson on 2019/04/14 02:24
This is amazing! You can take your favorite song and then put beats and mix it with other songs! Wonderful app! I mixed a part of my favorite song in with my own beats and tunes and it sounded like I was listening to... I DONT KNOW BECAUSE IT WAS SO GOOD!!!!!!!!! So if you are into making music, I totally recommend this app to you.
🤢🤮🤑
by theartofyoga on 2019/01/06 18:27
I have had the djay apps since 2012. Consider this, the 3 years or so that djay pro has been out it saw no new features added and it cost 20$ and 20$ IAPs for effects. While pro did bring 4 decks, we saw no new effects or useful features. (Where is audio unit integration? Or even just the use of AUV3 effects) Why is that? Either pro was so fully featured that to add anything would be bloat. Or the developers were to busy creating this mess of an app. Many of the issues and bugs of original pro app were left unresolved over years. I’m not sure how the developer really can justify the subscription model to existing customers. All previous owners of the original djay pro should be grandfathered in with an unlimited subscription. Anything less than that is really a disservice to loyal customers. To call this a downgrade is speaking kindly.

The app is very good but in my case it has a huge defect that makes it almost useless, there’s no way to select you songs by genre, if they fix that I will buy it and change my review

by SantaMaria_21 on 2019/09/04 06:22
I cannot for the life of me get this app to work with my music through Apple Music. What good is it to have a Dj app WITHOUT ACCESS TO MUSIC! This is terrible. If anyone knows a solution please let me know . As of now, I wish I could give this app no stars.

Amazing app

Fun app but..
by Lilwarrior24 on 2019/08/25 17:38
I really feel as if they should allow the recording feature in the free version. There’s really no point of the app if you’re unable to save your creation.. very disappointing and frustrating.

by Soulstyme on 2019/08/25 04:29
I’m not the claiming I’m the best mixer, but with this app. I stayed on it along time. Plenty of choices for the beginner to the master! I'm impressed, and keep it up developers! Thank you! Now I have something I can work with without having to go out and buy the station. Again, great work!

So good! Such a huge improvement from the last.
by Mr.Fabian NYC on 2019/08/22 00:11
Now this is an update!

We asked for more features on Djay Pro, and this is what we get.
by Draqoon9306 on 2018/12/17 15:37
If anyone used the previous generation of the djay series and was in fact following along with the forum, you should be aware that they were willing to add more ideas such as ableton link to djay pro.
Thanks
COME ON WHAT IS THIS SUBSCRIPTION CRAP!!!
by Mmdeveloper on 2019/02/01 20:14
One more product I am dumping because the company decided that making money was more important than servicing their products.

Enough time to decide if it is worth 4.99 a month.
djay

dJay is a well designed application that makes it easy for professionals and more importantly non professionals to mix music.
