Need to update my email. There’s nowhere in this app to do so. Went to website. Website asks to chose a nationality. You tap on it. It only offers the option ‘ chose one’. That’s it. Almost every single critical features is plagued with bugs: login, Face ID, network issue handling, you name it. Even an undergrad project assignment wouldn’t be this bad From UX perspective this is beyond save. Please pay a professional team properly and rebuild the app from scratch

Eva has a fair price for airfare. But these days of covid19 virus, you don’t how to contact them because all their offices were closed. They should allocate a number that should be answered by one of their staff. My flight has been cancelled and re schedule again but no one notify me. I’d been contacting them since last week but in vain. Please advised!

EVA also is one of my favorite airlines but whenever I am using your APP, it effectively discouraged me to pick another airline. One very basic requirement of today’s APP or software- Remember the login information. Do you not know that people using complicated passwords and who would remember all the user ID, membership numbers and password? And for security reason, do you not know that today’s mobile devices already have bio-verification so it’s not just anybody can pick up your phone, open up APP, and steal any information in it. Fire the CIO and the IT head and hire someone who lives in the modern era. Your flights and services are excellent but your IT skills are sill in Stone Age.

I suggest EVA as my favorite carrier. However, the app and website are nothing but juvenile. It does not surprise me. The Asian mentality is based on get their money and who cares after the check clears. Too bad because the flight crews are wonderful. They cancelled my flight which is understandable but then left me unable to rebook online or by phone. I had to rebook through a discount booking agency. Now I must attempt to get a refund. Disappointing.

Booking is so hard and confusing

I trie to book a flight but it keeps going back to one way and i need a round trip ticket. I have been flying Eva Air for years but this time it became so difficult booking online flight. Also it always says NO INTERNET CONNECTION but then there is this CONFIRM button. Please repair your website or you will lose customers.

Whoever designed the feature set and user experience for this app should be fired. This app does a bunch of unnecessary crap, but the important stuff, like managing your trip, rescheduling or cancelling a flight, it can't handle. It refers me to their website, which BTW has the same unintuitive look and feel as the app. If I have to open a browser why do I need an app? Also, the description says that it supports Apple Wallet. It's a lie. I checked in via this app. I can see the boarding pass in the app. There's no boarding pass in Wallet, only in the app. Worst off all, the boarding pass is useless. At the airport counter they issue the old paper boarding pass. I asked them why they told me to ignore the one in the app. Very Eco-friendly. BTW, hire somehow proficient in English. When you display an informational message, the dismiss button should be OK, not CONFIRM. I can only confirm info that I give you. I can only acknowledge info that you give me. Lots of English mistakes like that.

pitiful “app” that is actually just an embedded form of the mobile site. Booking timed out during payment and never processed. Clunky, glitchy, everything an app should strive not to be. Learn from Delta’s app, the gold standard of all airline apps.

I’m currently using 4 airline apps! Just the worst points of EVA: doesn’t remember login, every time you have to start all over again w/ticket #,names... Boarding passes cannot be saved in wallet, need to open the app. What if you don’t have internet ? No QR code on boarding pass!! What is the point? I received an answer which really didn’t help! It says that I can save the boarding passes by using ‘ add to wallet’ . Well, that’s standard with other airlines, however, I am still looking for that particular functionality in your app! And it closes with a request for more details ( like in every other review I checked); do you want us to develop your app??

It is really hard and tedious to get your flight information. Normally when I’m talking to someone and they ask me for my flight info I can log into other apps and give it to them in seconds. With this app I literally have to just get back to them because it’s such a painful process

Stop sending unsolicited messages via this app. Update - I had to turn off a push notification feature that probably activated when I installed the app. EVA developer team sent mail advising this solution which was actually kind of nice. Most of the time app developers remain silent. At least EVA was proactive so I’m changing from a 1 Star to 3 star as the app is still far behind other airline apps that I use.

I'm a member of their milage program years ago and my miles been expired which is fine but i'm still receiving their email marketing, I tried to unsubscribe or opt out from their email marketing, it requires me to sign in which i don't remember and I don't care for in the first place. I'm stuck now and dont know what to do.

I was about to give EVA a good review until they tried to charge me $5800 to upgrade to business class. The ticket online is only about $1800. They then told me I cannot cancel and purchase a new ticket.

- get push notifications for your flight but then when inside the app, nothing shows up - can’t find flight info using confirmation number and last/first name, but the website can do it just fine. The app just hangs on the loading screen for minutes - check in online to get my boarding pass, but then when I sign in on the app, I can’t access it nor find it under ‘my flight’ - push notifications for meal selection but then when I navigate to the app, there’s no way to actually select my meal (or even find my flight) I’m not sure who would use this app, since it fails to meet basic functions for travelers

It took me at least 10 tries entering the same booking ID and name before my trip would even load on the app...I did try putting only my family name in, which according to the app is allowed, but nothing was pulled up. Frustrating experience.

You can check in, but it doesn’t give you a boarding pass. The pass in my “My Passes” states specifically that it can not be used as a boarding pass. App doesn’t interface with Apple Wallet as stated in the App Store. Zero stars!!

Where do I begin? The design is old, like Windows 95 old. The login experience is pure garbage. It doesn’t let you paste since it uses a custom keyboard(really?) so your password manager is out of the question. The keyboard it does use is not qwerty. The numbers are not even in order. They have a captcha-for a mobile app.... The “Remember Me” checkbox is useless because every time i load the app I have to login again bringing all those problems back. They have ads, on every page load. This design should be illegal.

You can’t properly check in and get your boarding pass, non existent option! Seats cannot be simply changed no matter how you try it! Freezing at times, buttons are not sensitive enough you better tap on it more than one time! Useless especially thinking in times we are living when apps should be able to do things! 5 star airline with really poor app that should make life better and not harder!

Getting better and better. One star is carrying for attention. It is a good app actually. One thing need to be added is to allow multiple cities booking. It can only book one way or round trip now. Other airline, like UA, allow you book multiple stops. Nowadays for business or for pleasure, it is rarely just from point A to point B and return. We Multiple cities booking is needed. Please add it and I will change the rating to 5.

The app did not sync with my web account, nor did it remember who I was, so I would have to type in my ticket number and name every time to check in, check gates, etc. Additionally, because the boarding pass provided has no QR code I was not permitted to enter security, so I had to go to an EVA Air booth. Just print your ticket or check in at the counter, this app will actively hinder your travels. Pretty good airline though, just a bad app.

June 2019 Additional Feedback new App Release. I just booked a ticket from SFO-BKK for next year. I was browsing various flight options. I only went to the payment process for a single reservation. BUT ... somehow I ended up with 3 bookings!!! There are so many issues with this site that it points to a major systemic problem in the EVA IT staff. 2019 I love EVA Air. This Application is third rate. I won’t get into the defects I have found over the years, but it should be deeply embarrassing for such a fine company. The latest issue that prompted me to write the review: trying to book RT from SFO to Chiang Mai. The App doesn’t let me select CNX as the destination But I can book CNX-SFO, just not SFO-CNX. I can make this selection on the website, just not the iPhone App. This may seem like a small issue, but it’s just one of many I have found. The very good news is that the same Developers are CLEARLY not maintaining the software on the EVA aircraft ... EVA Management: PLEASE listen to your unhappy customers regarding this Application. I see no way to look at or edit my profile information. I got an email that gave me notice that the name on my ticket (Sehested RobertJoseph) does not match the name that I used when I signed up with on the EVA APP. (Sehested Robert) So I won’t be able to receive the points I earned flying with you... when filling out a form if there is no line for a middle name .... and when you are asked for a given name the only name most Americans will put is there first name only. So adding a line for middle name could be helpful when dealing with Americans. OR using a persons passport number to give reward points might be another way to award points. Can you change my name on the app to SEHESTED ROBERTJOSEPH OR PLEASE TELL ME HOW I CAN CHANGE IT SO I GET THE POINTS I EARNED FLYING WITH YOU ON MAY 10, 2019. And MAY 20, 2019. Thank you

Horrible horrible app. The differences between booking numbers, reference numbers, e-ticket numbers are confusing enough. I couldn’t even log in to check in on this app or download my boarding pass to save to my Apple Wallet app. Had to print out my boarding pass instead. What is this, 1992?

First time user. Frozen on the 2nd screen where it shows capabilities of the app. Tried restarting, tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Leaving for a trip tonight and would have really liked to use the app. Makes me a bit nervous about flying this airline for the first time 🤦🏼‍♀️

My flight from Philippines to Taipei Mar. 17,2017 BR777 seat 46D @ 12:50pm was a pleasant one. One thing that ruin my trip was cause by one of the flight stewardess that has a very stinky body odor. Every time she pass by me I feel like throwing up cause her body odor. Was not able to eat my food cause the awful body odor. Hope management will do something about this.

As EVAs loyalty flyer, EVA has tons of good places to say, but this app , although just upgrade not long, but still way much behind the industry standard. The main reason is how you think. If you are not trying to change yourself, upgrade or invest your system, you will never reach to the top airlines.

This was never a good app to begin with; however, I was always able to search for and book flights. Now, that capability no longer exists. The app will allow the user to input airports and dates, but it only returns some message regarding Java Script. It says that the page will reload automatically, which it never does. If you try to load it manually, it just returns a “Bad Request” error message. Reinstalling it makes no difference. I just can’t imagine why a great airline like EVA, which is based in one of the world’s most technologically advanced countries, would settle for having such a poor app.

I checked in on 1/27/19. My flight is BRO /190/27Jan. From TSA to HND Alvin Chien is good representative for the company. Friendly, explained everything you need. Best service. Definitely I highly recommend to my friends taking Eva airline.
Ticketing status shown is not consistent with desktop version

On a desktop browser, I see that I have a ticket number shown in my Manage trip panel on all of my reservations However, on the mobile app, one of my reservations showed “ticket not issued”. I’ve contacted the EVA office and they confirmed that my reservation is fine, but I just want to point this out to avoid confusion for others who may have this issue and have paid for the ticket

Around 2017 before someone did major upgrade on the App in, everything was working OK, not great but the App did not have any major bug and UI flow was Ok. After new upgrade around end of 2017, so many bugs and so difficult to use this App. 1. Just forced to upgrade to latest version. The App deleted my password so I have to find it or reset it. The user ID and password should able to save even new upgrade. 2. The number on the virtual keyboard is a mess on iPhone. It is in random order. This is such simple function and no one is QA it. 3. The UI flow is not easy to follow. It feels EVA wants to turn this App as eCommerce to sell more duty free items than make easier for passengers to use it. I have been EVA member for long time. EVA needs to hire better App UI designer and QA team to fix the problems.

Waste of my time

常常無法登錄,要不就是登錄後,不管要做什麼都很慢。最後只能放棄,改用瀏覽器登錄。這問題已經很久,都沒有改善。 1/13/2019 都已經這麼多年,居然還是沒有解決這個問題。也未免太過離譜了!

As a previous mobile app product manager I cannot understand how any the feature priorities could be so poorly defined as to result in such a terrible user experience. This looks to me like most “improvements” were made with the objective of just selling more tickets, not making things anything easier for their ALREADY PAYING CUSTOMERS. Who ever heard of an airline app that doesn’t allow you to load/view your own reservations??? And this is supposed to be our “5 star airline”? Almost as bad as the latest wardrobe/branding redesign..
Truly bizarre app

Whoever designed the feature set and user experience for this app should be fired. This app does a bunch of unnecessary crap, but the important stuff, like managing your trip, rescheduling or cancelling a flight, it can&#39;t handle. It refers me to their website, which BTW has the same unintuitive look and feel as the app. If I have to open a browser why do I need an app? Also, the description says that it supports Apple Wallet. It&#39;s a lie. I checked in via this app. I can see the boarding pass in the app. There&#39;s no boarding pass in Wallet, only in the app. Worst off all, the boarding pass is useless. At the airport counter they issue the old paper boarding pass. I asked them why they told me to ignore the one in the app. Very Eco-friendly. BTW, hire somehow proficient in English. When you display an informational message, the dismiss button should be OK, not CONFIRM. I can only confirm info that I give you. I can only acknowledge info that you give me. Lots of English mistakes like that.
Shockingly Bad App

June 2019 Additional Feedback new App Release. I just booked a ticket from SFO-BKK for next year. I was browsing various flight options. I only went to the payment process for a single reservation. BUT ... somehow I ended up with 3 bookings!!! There are so many issues with this site that it points to a major systemic problem in the EVA IT staff. 2019 I love EVA Air. This Application is third rate. I won’t get into the defects I have found over the years, but it should be deeply embarrassing for such a fine company. The latest issue that prompted me to write the review: trying to book RT from SFO to Chiang Mai. The App doesn’t let me select CNX as the destination But I can book CNX-SFO, just not SFO-CNX. I can make this selection on the website, just not the iPhone App. This may seem like a small issue, but it’s just one of many I have found. The very good news is that the same Developers are CLEARLY not maintaining the software on the EVA aircraft ... EVA Management: PLEASE listen to your unhappy customers regarding this Application. I see no way to look at or edit my profile information. I got an email that gave me notice that the name on my ticket (Sehested RobertJoseph) does not match the name that I used when I signed up with on the EVA APP. (Sehested Robert) So I won’t be able to receive the points I earned flying with you... when filling out a form if there is no line for a middle name .... and when you are asked for a given name the only name most Americans will put is there first name only. So adding a line for middle name could be helpful when dealing with Americans. OR using a persons passport number to give reward points might be another way to award points. Can you change my name on the app to SEHESTED ROBERTJOSEPH OR PLEASE TELL ME HOW I CAN CHANGE IT SO I GET THE POINTS I EARNED FLYING WITH YOU ON MAY 10, 2019. And MAY 20, 2019. Thank you
difficult to book a flight

for some strange reason this app won’t let me access the flight booking with a phone connection. It seems to require wifi. I love to fly EVA but their phone app and website are not up to the same excellent standards.
Has Become Completely Useless

This was never a good app to begin with; however, I was always able to search for and book flights. Now, that capability no longer exists. The app will allow the user to input airports and dates, but it only returns some message regarding Java Script. It says that the page will reload automatically, which it never does. If you try to load it manually, it just returns a “Bad Request” error message. Reinstalling it makes no difference. I just can’t imagine why a great airline like EVA, which is based in one of the world’s most technologically advanced countries, would settle for having such a poor app.
Ticketing status shown is not consistent with desktop version

On a desktop browser, I see that I have a ticket number shown in my Manage trip panel on all of my reservations However, on the mobile app, one of my reservations showed “ticket not issued”. I’ve contacted the EVA office and they confirmed that my reservation is fine, but I just want to point this out to avoid confusion for others who may have this issue and have paid for the ticket

App should show updated boarding gate info. It should also show booked flight status without having to repeatedly type in your flight number. It’s very annoying how you have to input data over and over again when you go to Flight Status. It’s also very annoying how, when you click on anything, there’s a long wait where the screen changes to a paid service they’re advertising. Is that deliberate. Instead of just taking you to the page you want, the app makes you look at EVA ads?!!!

Truly one of the worst iPhone apps I’ve ever used and certainly the worst airline app of all time. Seriously you can’t add boarding passes to passbook? It’s 2018 get with the program. And the navigation and information architecture of this app is a nightmare. Lastly, this airline stupidly requires you to enter your first name followed by middle names with no spaces as it appears on your ticket sometimes. It will not retrieve your reservation otherwise. You guys have so much work to do. Pull this app from the App Store and hit reset/start over.

Stop sending unsolicited messages via this app. Update - I had to turn off a push notification feature that probably activated when I installed the app. EVA developer team sent mail advising this solution which was actually kind of nice. Most of the time app developers remain silent. At least EVA was proactive so I’m changing from a 1 Star to 3 star as the app is still far behind other airline apps that I use.
Need better QA and UI/UX design

Around 2017 before someone did major upgrade on the App in, everything was working OK, not great but the App did not have any major bug and UI flow was Ok. After new upgrade around end of 2017, so many bugs and so difficult to use this App. 1. Just forced to upgrade to latest version. The App deleted my password so I have to find it or reset it. The user ID and password should able to save even new upgrade. 2. The number on the virtual keyboard is a mess on iPhone. It is in random order. This is such simple function and no one is QA it. 3. The UI flow is not easy to follow. It feels EVA wants to turn this App as eCommerce to sell more duty free items than make easier for passengers to use it. I have been EVA member for long time. EVA needs to hire better App UI designer and QA team to fix the problems.

Getting better and better. One star is carrying for attention. It is a good app actually. One thing need to be added is to allow multiple cities booking. It can only book one way or round trip now. Other airline, like UA, allow you book multiple stops. Nowadays for business or for pleasure, it is rarely just from point A to point B and return. We Multiple cities booking is needed. Please add it and I will change the rating to 5.

You can’t properly check in and get your boarding pass, non existent option! Seats cannot be simply changed no matter how you try it! Freezing at times, buttons are not sensitive enough you better tap on it more than one time! Useless especially thinking in times we are living when apps should be able to do things! 5 star airline with really poor app that should make life better and not harder!

So secure it can’t be installed without great trouble and then it can’t find my business class reservation i just made - and then they have their own keyboard for some Reason that doesn’t even have the special characters they ask you to put In your password, so I had to change my password to be able to log in to the app - all together 1.5 hrs to install an app that disappoints you - my first experience with Eva - hope it gets better ☹️

Eva has a fair price for airfare. But these days of covid19 virus, you don’t how to contact them because all their offices were closed. They should allocate a number that should be answered by one of their staff. My flight has been cancelled and re schedule again but no one notify me. I’d been contacting them since last week but in vain. Please advised!

This version is so full of bugs. I can’t see any of my reservations for example. I can’t get any information on their membership section. It seems to be forever searching for information. But nothing ever shows up. I can’t even see my membership card. It just kicks me out of the app. I was able to in previous versions. It appears like they didn’t do any testing whatsoever. So so disappointing.

I relied on this app to manage my trips / view reservations since I travel every 2-3 weeks. Your new app (since September 2017) crashes every time I tried to view my reservations (iOS 10/11 on my phone). I have reinstalled this app 3x and still can’t view my reservations. Being able to view reservation is the SINGLE MOST important feature, and you should fire the head of your app team for screwing this up. Garbage!!

I suggest EVA as my favorite carrier. However, the app and website are nothing but juvenile. It does not surprise me. The Asian mentality is based on get their money and who cares after the check clears. Too bad because the flight crews are wonderful. They cancelled my flight which is understandable but then left me unable to rebook online or by phone. I had to rebook through a discount booking agency. Now I must attempt to get a refund. Disappointing.

- get push notifications for your flight but then when inside the app, nothing shows up - can’t find flight info using confirmation number and last/first name, but the website can do it just fine. The app just hangs on the loading screen for minutes - check in online to get my boarding pass, but then when I sign in on the app, I can’t access it nor find it under ‘my flight’ - push notifications for meal selection but then when I navigate to the app, there’s no way to actually select my meal (or even find my flight) I’m not sure who would use this app, since it fails to meet basic functions for travelers

EVA also is one of my favorite airlines but whenever I am using your APP, it effectively discouraged me to pick another airline. One very basic requirement of today’s APP or software- Remember the login information. Do you not know that people using complicated passwords and who would remember all the user ID, membership numbers and password? And for security reason, do you not know that today’s mobile devices already have bio-verification so it’s not just anybody can pick up your phone, open up APP, and steal any information in it. Fire the CIO and the IT head and hire someone who lives in the modern era. Your flights and services are excellent but your IT skills are sill in Stone Age.

Poorly localized, poorly programmed, poor execution all around. Incompatible with 1Password- you can’t even paste into the membership number field. Won’t let me log in with a member name. Doesn’t find my bookings anyway, unless I enter a booking reference. But if I use a booking reference I don’t need to log in anyway, so why bother? And then, can it fetch a mobile boarding pass compatible with Wallet? I’ll let you guess...

It’s a good idea, but there are just some logic problems with this app. It never quite does what you need it to do and it does not take into account that people make mistakes. And I have to log in every time I use it?! The website isn’t any better...

It really surprises me that one of the top airlines in the world has such a terrible user interface. Everything takes too long to load and we don’t need to see an advertisement every time we click on something. What’s worse is that the app will sometimes close top open the site in a web browser. Please improve the app because the airline is top notch.

In an effort to keep their jobs, the staff are required to submit changes. The new changes make this app worse, in fact I cannot purchase a ticket with new app- it won’t go past the flight selection page. I will need to go to the desktop machine. Also, the capcha test is too long and redundant, every time I go select new search 🙄

The worst unsubscribe system ever. I&#39;m a member of their milage program years ago and my miles been expired which is fine but i&#39;m still receiving their email marketing, I tried to unsubscribe or opt out from their email marketing, it requires me to sign in which i don&#39;t remember and I don&#39;t care for in the first place. I&#39;m stuck now and dont know what to do.
I just want to see my flight info easily.

It is really hard and tedious to get your flight information. Normally when I’m talking to someone and they ask me for my flight info I can log into other apps and give it to them in seconds. With this app I literally have to just get back to them because it’s such a painful process

I trie to book a flight but it keeps going back to one way and i need a round trip ticket. I have been flying Eva Air for years but this time it became so difficult booking online flight. Also it always says NO INTERNET CONNECTION but then there is this CONFIRM button. Please repair your website or you will lose customers.

Signed up for mileage plan twice, it never took, so I had to check flight by confirmation and couldn’t check in. Just not worth the time. Keep working on it the website and app and try to make them work together. Of course the website would be even more important.

“Contact us” is a frustrating joke. If you have a problem, don’t bother even trying. Even though you fill out all fields correctly, it will continuously ask for information you have already provided outlining the correctly entered fields in red to mock you.

Horrible horrible app. The differences between booking numbers, reference numbers, e-ticket numbers are confusing enough. I couldn’t even log in to check in on this app or download my boarding pass to save to my Apple Wallet app. Had to print out my boarding pass instead. What is this, 1992?

As EVAs loyalty flyer, EVA has tons of good places to say, but this app , although just upgrade not long, but still way much behind the industry standard. The main reason is how you think. If you are not trying to change yourself, upgrade or invest your system, you will never reach to the top airlines.

I’m not sure if this is peculiar to Taiwanese carriers but this app is well below average. The app doesn’t use the full iPhone X screen, makes you wait to watch EVA adverts before opening the next screen, and seems more like a glorified web portal than a real app.

My flight from Philippines to Taipei Mar. 17,2017 BR777 seat 46D @ 12:50pm was a pleasant one. One thing that ruin my trip was cause by one of the flight stewardess that has a very stinky body odor. Every time she pass by me I feel like throwing up cause her body odor. Was not able to eat my food cause the awful body odor. Hope management will do something about this.

How can such a great airline known for their service have such a bad app? It does not remember my login, login doesn’t work most of time, and it thinks it’s a bank with all the security when we only want to check on our flight status or trips. Please improve.

It took me at least 10 tries entering the same booking ID and name before my trip would even load on the app...I did try putting only my family name in, which according to the app is allowed, but nothing was pulled up. Frustrating experience.

Without exception, this is the worst check-in experience ever. Tried many times to input information and failed to check in. Not just the app, on the browser as well. Waited up to 1:00am just for this stupid check in; can’t wait to see where they sit me now!

First time user. Frozen on the 2nd screen where it shows capabilities of the app. Tried restarting, tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Leaving for a trip tonight and would have really liked to use the app. Makes me a bit nervous about flying this airline for the first time 🤦🏼‍♀️

Where do I begin? The design is old, like Windows 95 old. The login experience is pure garbage. It doesn’t let you paste since it uses a custom keyboard(really?) so your password manager is out of the question. The keyboard it does use is not qwerty. The numbers are not even in order. They have a captcha-for a mobile app.... The “Remember Me” checkbox is useless because every time i load the app I have to login again bringing all those problems back. They have ads, on every page load. This design should be illegal.

The app is horrible and so is the website. The App takes forever to load and don’t even load the information that the customer needs the most. I hope this airline flies planes better than they can work the internet.

Almost every single critical features is plagued with bugs: login, Face ID, network issue handling, you name it. Even an undergrad project assignment wouldn’t be this bad From UX perspective this is beyond save. Please pay a professional team properly and rebuild the app from scratch

pitiful “app” that is actually just an embedded form of the mobile site. Booking timed out during payment and never processed. Clunky, glitchy, everything an app should strive not to be. Learn from Delta’s app, the gold standard of all airline apps.

I have not been able to successfully check in and have found the overall app to be extremely poorly made. Eva airline is supposed to be a ‘nice’ airline however it’s website and phone app do not reflect that.
