I have had this app for a while. One day it logged me out from my cable provider and now I’m no longer able to log in using cable provider. It tells me my password is incorrect (I’ve even changed my password with my active provider) and gives me an error message. Please fix this issue.

Constant glitching, freezing, error messages. Can’t watch anything for more than 3 mins before it freezes. And it’s not my internet. Netflix and HULU stream without issue.

This is my first ever app review and it’s because it’s impossible to watch anything on the app. It keeps erroring out saying it has difficulties playing back... or something like that. Wish the most recent episodes were on other streaming apps like Hulu and Netflix so I wouldn’t have to use this app.

During this COVID 19 quarantine I decided to cut my cable because we don’t really watch TV. So I said why pay for TV and channels I don’t even watch? So I bought the Roku and then some preferred Apps, Amazon Prime and Disney Plus. I saw that I had 3 credits with NBC and I thought maybe I can earn or buy more credits later on. So I cut my cable and found out I will not be watching NBC ever again! That’s too bad for the NBC App. You had me at 3 credits but non reoccurring credits, NBC just lost a customer!

App has frequent video error messages rendering content unviewable. No access to content. Time to move on. I was binge watching a series paused a few days and now nothing. Unable yo complete the series on Apple TV.

Video typically plays for 20-40 seconds, then freezes, jumps 5 seconds forward - constantly. All other streaming services (YouTube, Netflix, Prime, DirectTV, Disney +) work fine to rule out internet issues.

Honestly, it’s just like any streaming app. Yes it has its little glitches here and there, but the ads are what’s unbearable. Five ads during every frequent break is excessive. I understand appeasing sponsors and what not, but that’s way too many. Going to uninstall it and try to find another way to watch the shows.

Problems casting via chromecast

1. In order for the casting icon to appear I have to click on a show, wait for it to start up & then back out and click the cast icon. 2. When I finally click the cast icon, on my tv it says “ready to cast” but one of 2 things happens... a. Only the sound is casted, I can hear the show, but the screen image is still the NBC logo and “ready to cast” OR b. Nothing happens and it shows a spinning wheel on the bottom left side of the logo screen. It’s is INCREDIBLY frustrating to have an app update weeks on weeks and this issue not be fixed!

I just downloaded the app last week and I was thrilled at all the shows I could watch until I realized most of them are locked or some past seasons cannot be viewed. There are a ton of glitches where the show stops and spins for several seconds to minutes before the show will resume. The back button never works when I press it so I have missed parts of the show I really wanted to watch!
Chromecast feature broken.

When I cast the video to my TV it works okay for a few minutes... then the chromecast disconnects itself for some unknown reason. The episode keeps playing though. It gets worse. When I reconnect the chromecast it starts the episode from the very beginning. I uninstalled. Fix this issue and I may come back.
Too many bugs

It’s a good selection of shows and everything, but there are so many bugs that it’s impossible to enjoy. The app doesn’t always respond to the controls, especially the rewind, and there isn’t any fast forward option in case you went back 3 minutes because you kept tapping on the rewind button trying to get it to work. My biggest issue is that the audio keeps cutting out, just for a split second, but it happens every few seconds. Changed headphones and it’s not that, and it doesn’t happen with any of my other apps, so it’s definitely the app. It’s really frustrating to keep missing bits of the show, and, as already addressed, the rewind feature can’t exactly help there.

Great access, but terribly slow. Sometimes it would take a dozen attempts over the course of over an hour to get one show to begin to load. And, no, for the record, that is not due to my connection or service provider, both are of premium quality. Other apps like Showtime, HBO, ABC, etc. would kid just fine.
Bonus commercials if you do anything besides play from beginning of show.

It is so frustrating that on top of having to fight to get the app to work while casting that I have to watch 5 commercials each time I try to adjust it. There was no time bar to adjust and so I had to cancel,start,adjust,recast,and when that didn’t work adjust again, and each time you start, cast or adjust it played 5 commercials that aren’t even the designated ones on the time bar. Also, there is no 30 second skip ahead to more deftly get back to where I was when the app lost my place in the show.

I have never written an app review before but I felt compelled too. While the nbc app can glitch at times, I have found immense difficulties with the nbc app on Apple TV. In order to watch an episode you have to wait an absurd amount of time for it to load - and even then it won’t. Typically, it will take 4 times to exit and enter the app in order for the show to load. If the show I was watching wasn’t only on nbc, I promise I would not use this app.

Supposedly this app is compatible with my Apple iPad Pro. However, when I start up the app many times it sits on my screen with a gray arrow in a circle in the middle of a gray screen—there are no buttons or icons that you may click on to “wake up” this frozen screen. The only way I can get out of this dead end is to remove the app and reload it from the app store. Then it may work but not always. If I have a lucky break, it works fine. What I have described often occurs when I select a “Live” news program, and is more likely to work with non-live shows.

This is a great app and I love how you can watch any tv show that isn’t available now a days. But one thing I absolutely HATE about it is that you only get three credits and most people, like me, can’t access their cable password so they can’t link it to their providers. Even for younger people their parents may say no. So I think there should be daily three credits you receive if you log in or something like that. Sad to say most people like me with this problem only download it for three episodes and delete it again.

This truly is the definition of the worst app ever. When it finally loads, after 20 minutes, it then spends another 20 buffering ever two minutes of show. There are several ads every couple minutes and those ads are the same every time. It truly is terrible and there is no reason for this app when many others can figure their stuff out better than NBC.

App not linking to provider

Zero stars: After a recent update, the NBC and Bravo apps no longer render the log-in correctly to link provider (the forgot id and password are now shifted to the right off the screen). I can watch NBC channels in my DirectTV app and link provider fine in other TV apps. I used to prefer watching TV using the NBC or Bravo TV apps, now I can’t. Now, I get the error message, “Sign In Error ‘That user ID doesn’t seem to work here. Please sign in with a different ID. Care Code: 205.4” I’ve even tried reporting the problem and got an annoying email with generic, how to sign in instructions. I’m not seeing any “outages” in my area (I am watching online using the app, not using my apple tv or att/directv box), my user ID isn’t the problem and still works elsewhere.

The reason I didn’t give this app a higher rating is because of the poor tv quality. If I pause the show too long, when returning to the show, the show stops and goes continuously! It is so annoying. However, the commercials run smoothly. This is very disappointing and ruins the quality and integrity of the show.

Can’t airplay even 20 seconds of ANY VIDEO without the video freezing and saying a playback error occurred. This is with excellent internet and WiFi access with no issues casting from other applications...... NBC why are you an ancient dinosaur so stuck in the past..... why should people considering cable cutting even stay with you if you can’t provide basic services on your app? That’s right, they shouldn’t.

I usually hesitate to write negative reviews but I have been trying to use this app for at least a year to a year and a half, hoping they’d work the bugs out of it by now. I have a few shows I really enjoy watching and like to be able to catch up on them on my phone or laptop when I’m not home. I have tried downloading this app on several different phones, ranging from LG phones to iPhones 8+, iphone11, my MacBook, and my Visio and Phillips smart TVs. On every device I have tried it freezes up, runs slow or just stops working altogether. Very frustrating!

I love NBC and CBS shows . However this app is a such a waste of time. The commercials are frequent and absurdly long. This stretches out the story and really makes one no I want to stream on NBC. NBC needs to stop and really look at their market. Peacock paid subscription is launching with no original significant or inspirational content.there is this time wasting lousy commercial riddled app. What a waste of a brand

Show set up is perfect sating which shows I watched already and what shows I have not watched. I would like to have a variety of commercials rather than the same one every time. The option to suggest wha it I might also like does not correlate, but a fine idea none the less. I would like to perhaps have the suggestion of what other shows - that I am watching, or subscribe to _ be shown as what the watch next . My own marathon! How about what brand new shows are coming up ! How about what we were enjoying to what - and waiting for the next season - tell us when they will be back! Thanks !

I almost ALWAYS use HULU - I pay the extra few $$ for NO COMMERCIALS! Of course this “stay-at-home” order have pushed me to want to catch up on old episodes of ‘Dateline’. But after watching the very first episode, and having to be subjected to 12 commercial breaks - each containing the same 5 commercials - the urge has gone and I’ll be removing the app from my streaming device. Sorry NBC - this girl HATES commercials!!

The is the absolute most frustrating app, it never works correctly!!! It just stays frozen on nothing. Mind you, in order to watch you have to have a subscription which makes the fact that it doesn’t work even more upsetting- because we are paying for the access. Terrible terrible app👎🏼

I’ve never seen so many negative people reviewing this app. I love it. It’s great for what it does. It’s a streaming app people. Not tv with a rewind button and all the bells and whistles but it serves its purpose. I can catch up on my soaps and watch something nostalgic or a documentary. Thank you NBC. All you haters go back to paying $200. Per month for TV. Here you can watch what you want when you want!

I love Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist. I just wish I could see the credits at the end. They are dimmed and blocked by suggested programs. Just saying that I am a couch potato and I appreciate watching the credits roll as I silently thank them for a wonderful show.

I there was a guy before me who wrote a review saying he would be willing to pay more to NBC they would take out commercials. I agree in sentiment, I AM addicted to MSNBC, but I am NO LONGER interested in spending three times more for cable than internet and WITH commercials! I do nOT appreciate being sent a text advertising/promoting an APP that DOES eventually cost BIG $$ and mentions NOTHING about it.

I got this app because they make you get the app to warch a show, but why can’t i just watch it on the browser??! At least my browser actually works. Not a single feature of this app works even just the simple act of streaming a video. It just goes dark and unresponsive. Trying to log in kept being frozen with a loading bar after logging in with google. I finally gave up and skipped it but then playing a video also doesn’t work. Just let me stream on safari and stop wasting my time

I use this app on my Apple TV to watch live TV in the morning. If I close this app while watching live TV, then every day in the morning when I open it back up I am presented an “error has occurred” screen and must force quit the app and reopen it in order to get anything in the live tv section to load.

I have no patience for this app when streaming. I like the app when I’m just watching a show on my phone except if you interrupt a show while playing it freezes. It also freezes when I’m steaming and jumps ahead.

The whole thing is good but I wondered if you didn’t expire episodes. I only get to watch season 5 of Chicago med because most of the seasons expired before I fell in love with the show.

The Live stream feature does no work. Tried it on 4 devices. Could only get Live stream on 1. And when I tried to mirror to an Apple TV, no sound. Very disappointed and frustrated.

Morning joe is most negative reporting one can see and hear. Things are so out of context that they are lies. You can not like our president but he never given any credit for anything he may have done or said that has aided our country. Get over this personal dislike. I don’t like to watch or listen to him but I do look where our country is due to some of his business acumen. I would like to hear what some of your people would have done in this particular crisis if they had been president. Not one that I have seen has asked this question of their guest. Glad I have other choices to watch and I do believe there are better times ahead which I have not heard out of the mouths of this show’s vitriolic voices and opinions.

Dealing with the same 5 sets of 3 minutes worth of ads per episode is bad as it is but understandable because we ARE watching great stuff for free but then the credit/ key situation is a whole new level. To watch a short 2 series show with 29 episodes total required a BUNCH of fake emails I had to make and delete. And the fact that there is no other way to get more other than “connecting to a tv provide” is bs. Other than the ungodly amount of ads and dealing with keys, this app is still pretty good. It’s free and there are shows on it that are not on other apps. I’m sure if something’s done about it, there would be far more people getting the app and many more 5 star reviews!

I have this app for Apple TV, and it is by far the worst streaming app. New episodes don’t load, and when do they load , it freezes mid way through. It’s not my internet connection as I have 5g and all the other apps work fine. This app is horrible.

This app is my life line to watch days of our lives! I have watched it since 1979!! I know everything and everybody’s story. Best current actress Gabi. Best male Rafe and Brady. Love Ceira, and Justin with Jen! Please don’t ever stop making this show! Showing Sami kids would be great I love they grow so fast they could walk back in with a degree in something. Love it! Grumpy about terrible rewind feature

I have never written an app review before, but the most recent update to this app has made me so frustrated. In general - its a great app to access lots of shows on demand, and I appreciate the deep library (though I’d like if previous seasons of many shows were carried so I could watch back episodes) but recently, the glitchiness of the app is making my experience terrible. If I try to rewind using the 10 second rewind button, it will often go to commercial, and then pick back up 3-4 minutes ahead of where I was at - making that rewind button totally non-functional and also aggravating me as I have to continue to watch the same 5 commercials over and over again just to be moved forward in the show and have to rewind again to get back to my spot... then often rewinding gets me more commercials and it’s just... exhausting. Fix the issue, so shows can be streamed and rewinded. Also, I’d be happy to pay for a commercial free version of NBC. Will that ever be a possibility? It takes longer than it should to watch a single show because of the excessive commercials...

Hey NBC fans, sounds like there’s some “user” issues being projected onto the app. Some info that may resolve those, For the “Can’t log into cable provider”, You’ll need to get the providers password for “free” full episode streaming, that’s the fact, if cable is being paid for, the app is a perk to watch your paid service channels when away from home so why would you want to pay twice? Ask the person whose cable profile you’re wanting to use what the password is cuz app developers can’t help you here . To “App freezing” person, sounds like again it’s “user error”, try deleting the app from the device you’re streaming from, cell phone/tablet, update that device to its most recent OS , that’s Operating System for non techie peeps, eg, iphone iOS 12.0.4, Settings&gt;General&gt;Update and run any updates, hows your Apple device gonna work if you’ve got it speaking an old language when the app developers update their compatibility in their apps to be smarter than you’re devices OS? For the little green guy users, Settings, well i’m not a fan of the little green guy os so hopefully you know how to update your own droid. didn’t keep reading the posts on NBC app for more advice but I think the app works as expected i especially like the speed in which the shows episodes are available! Keep up the good work!

It’s a shame that this company was allowed the broadcast rights to the premier league soccer. NBC app never works and always glitches to where you can’t watch live tv on any streaming device, how can you have this main tv app be so bad when your NBC sports Gold (another program I have to PAY for for access to Premier league soccer) for the most part works fine. This has been an ongoing issue for over a year and still no fix. Consumers pay hundreds of dollars to them and they can’t correct issues that don’t have with other companies like ESPN app. If I am required to pay for access to premier league games you should allow me the ability to watch all games thru your companies various platforms, not having your NBC sports channel competing with the main NBC channel. I’m sure if I was lodging a complaint to watch American football it would be fixed quickly but for soccer (the most popular WORLD sport) they won’t do anything about it. NBC I hope you see this and have a fix before the new year starts or you can expect more viewers will reach out to the premier league to have them look for new partners for broadcast rights!

This app is great for watching shows I miss when I’m at my dads house. My parents very recently got divorced and at my dads house I have a tv that doesn’t get cable and I love watching AGT, so I downloaded this app and I love the shows on here. But there is the problem, none of us can activate the our cable company. It’s not this app’s fault, but we don’t know the password and I only have one credit left. I wish it would give me more credits or I can earn them in some way. As soon as I can I will connect the cable company on, but I would love to see a way you can earn credits. I would say it would be very popular for people in my situation and it would be great for advertising some of the partners to NBC. If someone is sponsoring the app, it would benefit everyone (and of course by that I mean the sponsors and watchers). I would understand if this wasn’t a possibility, but I would still love to see it. This is a great app.
Linking provider

So I was using this and it was working for a while. I linked my tv provider and everything and it was working fine. Well today it wouldn’t let me watch an episode. It kept popping up the “link provider” screen (it does this a lot) I would click the link provider option and it wouldn’t play the episode. It would just go back to the screen where you pick the episode you want to watch. I click the episode and again click the link provider option. I did this several times before I got frustrated. I deleted the app and reinstalled it. I was putting in the tv provider information and once it told me there were issues and to please try again later. I waited a bit and tried it and now it says “external system failure” and I don’t even know what that means. It worked great for a while. I’m just upset that it stopped now.

It’s so frustrating that out of maybe 40 episodes of a series, that you can only watch al few because you are locked out. All this is doing is making your customers disappointed about your service, henceforth, they just don’t bother with NBC. Have you not read your reviews..? You should, because they speak even louder to my complaint. You have a lot of great shows so if someone wants to watch isn’t that what you’re suppose to provide? So, please fix this and make your customers happy and satisfied. SERVICE brings repeat business. Don’t get away from this fact. And now, I can’t use my own nickname on my review because it’s taken????? WHAT? So, why are we not allowed to use our own. You seriously need to get rid of whoever is responsible for this app and get someone who understands business models. Service and honesty. Start there.
Very Buggy, No Favorites feature

I have the NBC App on my AppleTV and it is absolutely terrible. Here are my main problems with it: 1. There is no option to “favorite” shows that I frequently watch, so every time I want to watch a specific show, I have to scroll through the entire list of shows or go to search and type in the show I want to watch, which is a pain and is more time consuming than just going to favorites and clicking on the next episode of a favorite show. 2. The app also forces me to verify my cable tv provider every time I want to watch something, whereas every single other app I use only prompts me to do this once upon initial sign in, if at all. 3. Integration with Apple’s TV app is rubbish. The TV app tracks shows you’ve watched throughout various apps and suggests the most recent episode or continuation of episodes/movies that you didn’t finish, all without leaving the home screen. With the NBC app, it usually doesn’t suggest the next episode at all or suggests shows I’ve watched already. 4. My last major problem with the app is that it constantly freezes during the episode, so I have to exit the episode and then play it again. It would be nice to watch an episode straight through without issues. I don’t recommend this app. It’s easier just to switch back and forth between my cable box and AppleTV or watch a different network.

I love that I have access to all of the NBC series’ and can choose older episodes to catch up. The one detractor I have found so far are the constant plugs for all the current NBC shows. The first 2-3 times I see a plug for a show I feel they have garnered my interest. After that I am starting to get annoyed. Please mix it up, I feel like I don’t want to watch Brooklyn 99 now after watching the same plug 10 times while binging 4 episodes of AP Bio. Maybe have multiple clips to plug a show to mix it up a bit. That being said it was awesome getting to delve into a show I was not able to watch last year. Who knows, maybe next year I will be watching Brooklyn 99 episodes and the NBC app will provide different clips of the new show they are plugging at that time.

The app is good, but please next time try to play your own shows before the uploading: the last two episodes (E23 and E24 – semi-final) of &#34;The Voice&#34; having so much problems, the sound and picture are scattering like 5 or more times! You can see this even at the begging of the show, when Blake Shelton and Trace Adkins singing &#34;Hell Right&#34;. And it’s not just me or my device or network connection – I tried to watch this episode on my computer, from browser, on official site (and even tried to find a WebRip of it), the same scattering and freezes. I couldn’t believe that company like that, NBC, uploaded defective copies of the show... I hope you’ll fix this problem soon and the final episodes will be without these problems. P.S. Sorry for my English, it’s not my native language. UPD: The Finale is great, and without glitches. Thank you.

Terrible business model. A lot of people use these apps because they are cable cutters, cord cutters, or whatever the proper vernacular is these days. The bottom line is that if you limit what people can watch because they do not have a cable provider, which I have not had in over a decade and never will again, it is not going to motivate them to get one. You lose viewers that way. In an age where most people use devices other than a TV to watch favorite shows, you would THINK networks like NBC would catch on, drop the provider requirement, and increase the amount of viewers on the platform. I noticed a week or so ago that I can no longer access episodes that I would have been able to watch (eventually). This is unfortunate because that&#39;s one less person being subjected to the constant barrage of advertisements that interrupt the show. I am sure advertisers will catch on...

I first used the NBC app when my service providers app on demand was missing recent episodes of Chicago P.D. why IDK but I was able to find and play the missing episodes (others besides Chicago P.D. ) and while I enjoy just being able to access these shows ( and I have no streaming difficulties), I have to agree with some other comments that there COULD be a favorites menu, and NBC could go as far as CBS has and offer subscription access. CBS currently has two subscriber options - one with less commercials (which I found to be an advertising stretch) and the other choice is COMMERCIAL FREE. People WILL pay for commercial free tv, especially if your network airs many of the shows they like to watch. Some things to think about NBC.
Would be awesome if I could actually have a subscription...

My family can’t afford cable, we just use streaming services... I used the app to watch Heroes (one of my all-time FAVORITE shows, I couldn’t believe they had it on the app, as it’s really old, let alone all of the seasons), but when I got to like the 4th episode it said I had to put in my cable information. I looked around and couldn’t find anything allowing me to purchase a subscription. I would seriously pay for this stuff, great shows on here. But there’s no options for subscriptions unless you pay for it through your cable provider. Get with the times NBC, HBO does it, so why can’t you? And taking back The Office when you guys know people won’t be able to watch the content they love on Netflix because you want to somehow make better bank through the cable companies? Really? Not impressed
Terrible for streaming

“It’s a always fun when we get to watch a little TV between commercials.” - my husband to me as we are trying to watch a show from the middle of the episode. Most times if we don’t finish an entire episode, the app does not save our place (or saves somewhere mid-episode, but not where we actually are). If I am casting to the TV from my phone, most times there is no progress bar on my phone for me to change where we are so I have to disconnect from the TV to find my spot and then re-cast. Every time I slide the progress bar in the episode we have to re-watch a whole round of commercials. Just now, it took about 15-20 minutes (and multiple whole commercial breaks) just to get to our last watched spot. We watched about a minute of the show and then were blasted with another break of commercials. Once we finish this season of the show we’re watching, we’re done with this app for good.
Chromecast barely functional.

The only reason I decided to download the app is because the player on the internet doesn’t have a chromecast button, and casting the tab itself in order to view NBC on my tv has a slight lag that I wasn’t happy with. Now the app itself is ok on its own, but again then only reason I downloaded it was for the chromecast feature. When casting, it works fine for the initial cast, however afterwards you cannot control any of the features: Closed captioning, volume, even playing, stopping or switching episodes. Sometimes if you close the app and reopen it the app will work fine for a few seconds, however after that it is not functional again. Defitnely going to uninstall this app and use others that actually work once I’ve caught up on This is Us. Honestly just take a look at ABCs app, obviously their developers were paid more, because there’s is flawless.

Really enjoying the app. Because of a new show I have never watched. Started watching a show I have never seen. &#34;Taken&#34; I was looking forward to watching &#34;The Blacklist.&#34; I could not watch it from Season One since you have to have detailed personal information to get into the last seasons of many shows. Since my husband is out of town and we are in the process of moving, I did not have any cable set up information as in passwords etc... Due to this information required, many shows were limited for me. I am not one to start watching a night time drama series from Season Four. It is pertinent to start from the beginning of a story line.

Every day at 6:30 I open this app to catch the evening news while I’m wrapping up at work. Gotta make sure we aren’t at war with someone. Today I opened the newly updated app and I’m looking at Housewives of Beverly Hills. Ugh, what did you do? I see all the other “networks of NBC” but not just my local NBC station. Can I not watch it anymore? I noticed you didn’t broadcast the first story on Facebook Live today either. Are you not showing that program online anymore? Update 7/10 - Well, the local station comes on now - it still says “Housewives...” but I can see the news. Or I could. Now, nothing comes up. I can tell every time you update this app, it all stops working. Do app developers get paid by the number of updates they make to their app. STOP updating it, it worked fine before you started messing with it.

First, much of the content requires you to sign in. If your provider is not on the list, then you can get a pass by giving them your email address. Enough places have my email already so I passed on that one. Xfinity-Comcast (mine) is not in the provider list - I don&#39;t get that one since they&#39;re NBC&#39;s parent company and has a huge subscriber base so they&#39;re denying access to a lot of people. Edited 8/17- the quick developer response really helped - thank you! Content for shows go back more than a week so you might find something you didn&#39;t know you missed plus you can watch episodes of old shows without having to subscribe with a credit card - much appreciated.
Astonishingly disappointing

There is nothing like downloading an app and knowing all of the wonderful features that you can have. Unfortunately with this app it&#39;s all teasers. Five minutes in the jimmy Fallon, App crashes. Over and over and over and over and over again. It&#39;s almost as if Jimmy Fallon doesn&#39;t know what a crappy provider he is signed with. I haven&#39;t been able to keep current on this show for over a year due to the fact that it literally crashes within five minutes of the show started, which is super awesome there is nothing like thinking hey I could&#39;ve watch Jimmy Fallon and a celebrity chat the way that they normally do in such a fun playful manner and then just have the app crashed on you over, and over, and over, and over again. Pull it together NBC The way of watching TV has changed dramatically consider keeping up or being pushed out.

Show set up is perfect sating which shows I watched already and what shows I have not watched. I would like to have a variety of commercials rather than the same one every time. The option to suggest wha it I might also like does not correlate, but a fine idea none the less. I would like to perhaps have the suggestion of what other shows - that I am watching, or subscribe to _ be shown as what the watch next . My own marathon! How about what brand new shows are coming up ! How about what we were enjoying to what - and waiting for the next season - tell us when they will be back! Thanks !

We have this app on our Apple TV and it is AWFUL. It has always had glitches and continues to do so despite updates over the last several years. The menus constantly freeze up, sometimes they never load and you have to restart the app and when it does work it is incredibly slow. It also freezes up our Apple TV for about 15 seconds when you close out of the app. No other app does this on our Apple TV so we know it’s not that. It also glitches at commercials and will play a few seconds of a commercial and then start over several times before completing the commercial. Sometimes you have to pause and un-pause the commercial to get it to play through so you can get back to your show. Wish there was a way to watch a few of my shows that are only available to watch through this app. TERRIBLE.

This is the best app of the big 4- ABC, NBC, FOX and CBS. I&#39;m not constantly annoyed by commercials that go on too frequently and forever and I like how I can go back 10 seconds at a pop, like with Netflix, to watch a part I missed. And I can go back further in the show without being forced to rewatch the commercial over again, which ABC makes you do. Speaking of commercials, they&#39;re varied, unlike ABC which show the same commercial again. And FOX&#39;s &#34; you can choose to interact with commercials to see less of then&#34; pop ups on the screen are truly annoying. This is the best of the network apps.

But just to point out if your in “CALIFORNIA” and if your a full time “Student”you can get internet service for like $10 a month... not only do you get internet w/WiFi But you also get phone service and cable as well. I didn’t know anything about this until my son whom is 17 now! Had authorized for the installation up at the families cabin this summer since he decided to do summer school online. :)) anyway I thought I’d share that with maybe it’s something to look into where your at...
Latest upgrade was a letdown!

I used to love this app! Had no problems whatsoever. But ever since the latest upgrade, I haven&#39;t been able to sign in to my provider, and according to other reviewers, I am not the only one. NBC what have y&#39;all done? You had better come up with a fix for us and quickly, or you will be losing customers. The problem is we cannot sign in. We click on our providers and either it takes us to a blank page, to it does nothing at all. This is your responsibility to fix, so do it ASAP! I knew I should not have &#34;upgraded&#34;. Doing so is always such a gamble! Before you ask me to delete and re-download, I have already down that. Plus I have tried every way of signing in there is to be found so it is not user error. It is NBC error! Fix this please for everyone! Only then will you see more 5 stars!

There are many issues with this app. First, it streams (on Chromecast) horribly. Forget rewinding. It’s tough to literally rewind. Afterwards, it goes to commercial, skips forwards or backwards and simply doesn’t work. Like others have said, it freezes and you end up having to start from the beginning. I’ve had to cook, wash clothes, complete homework or pretty much anything else to keep myself busy until it returns to the time stamp I was watching. Yes, it’s that bad. I’m really surprised by the 5 star (even 3 star) reviews. I always exhale before opening the app, because I know I’ll have to deal with a massive amount of frustration just to get to see anything. I rarely visit this app now. It’s too much work and the ease of having an app at all is greatly diminished by the awful glitches (and headache) associated with this app. Thumbs down, way down, NBC.

This app is great because it let’s you watch TV, newish episodes, without having a cable subscription. Yes there are commercials, but again this is free! The one thing that I really don’t like is that when I just watched a set of commercials, and the show starts up again, if I missed something and rewind, it’s really easy to rewind too far and then I have to watch all of the commercials again. Commercials should be a onetime pass in my opinion, that is, after you watched a set of commercials, you should be able to rewind to previous sections without having to sit through the same commercials again.

This app is ok as far as network apps go. Not too many commercial, unlike ABC, relatively easy to use. Only caveat: I wish it would take me directly into the entire list of episodes for the last show watched, instead of only listing the last two. I was watching season 1 of a show, but the next time I logged in, it went automatically to Sea. 2. It took me a few seconds to realize and go back to season 1, but since then, it shows that episode in the 2 last watched, which is confusing... Annoying to have to go back through the whole list of shows to bring up all available episodes....

The app works well unless you have to pause what you’re watching and resume later. The app tends to ‘not’ resume and a restart Is often required to get back to viewing the stalled show. Also, there are way too many commercials. I can get the same shows On Demand with only 2 commercials per break or skip them altogether on dish network. With this app, there’s no skipping or even fast-forwarding during regular playback. The only way to advance forward is by using the slider and if you skip past any commercial break, you’re forced to watch those commercials anyway. For old shows, some three or more years old, this is both unreasonable and unnecessary.
Complete AppleTV Airplay Fail

Every Sunday night, LIKE CLOCKWORK, I try to use the app to stream the football game, and then entire first half of the game is spent dealing with the app constantly crashing and repeatedly connecting and disconnecting from the AppleTV air play. It&#39;s the most frustrating thing ever. I&#39;m assuming most people using this app to stream content are mostly doing so directly on their devices. But when attempting to air play content (at least NFL games) from the app, it&#39;s terrible. I feel like this could be solved if your AppleTV app was capable of streaming live tv. I still for the life of me can&#39;t understand why it doesn&#39;t. I really hope your tech team is working on both of these incredibly frustrating elements.

I have never opened this app before but wanted to. I&#39;m now stuck on rehab from broken bones and was thrilled how easy it was. All I needed was my cell number from the account. It also works with knowing the email associated with the account or the account number. From there I got steps that walked me through. And what a life saver from boredom!!! I got to catch up on my favorite shows I missed, and can start the season I didn&#39;t watch. I was able to pause, and come back to start where I left. Yes, there are 3 commercials to watch during a break, but since this is a free service, I did not mind.
Really disappointing app

This is a very disappointing app. At first I thought it would be great to be able to really take in the olympics this way. Unfortunately they didn’t think this one out very well. First most annoying aspect is that it constantly has a screen stating that coverage will begin shortly yet you can leave it on for a half hour and nothing happens. When you look in the schedule section it just says live. Come on! People have lives. You didn’t think to maybe put a count down or the actual time it will begin in the schedule?? 2nd most annoying is that there is very little actual coverage between commercial breaks. They’ll show one ski run and then switch to a couple commercials. Come on! I know you have to pay the bills, but you’ve got to think it out better than that.

I love this app, but there r some things that make me sooo annoyed 1. The sound, I don&#39;t know if it is my iPad or the app that makes me have trouble with the volume. But the thing is that I alway need to make the volume the loudest it can be then slowly make it quieter then repeat that about 20 times and when I hear it I want to make it more quite because it is too loud then I need to repeat the entire thing once more. I love to watch Harry Potter with my cousin, and we would both agree that there r too many adds. Another thing that made me even more angry is that u can&#39;t skip or cancel the adds. I am pretty sure the latest update was developed by CBS or ABC in order to drive traffic to them. It is working. The app freezes while loading, constantly tells me I’m not connected to WiFi even though I am, then freezes on that screen. When I try to link to cable provider I have to shut down my tablet EVERY. TIME. True on my kindle and iPad.. Luckily, for my tablets I know it’s not their fault. It’s so frequent I have been tempted to throw my viewing device. I haven’t made it through a fall premiere viewing with app. Add to all the above the commercials aren’t timed to match show breaks causing scenes to abruptly end, sometimes mid sentence. I typically don’t write reviews but this app is awful. If I can’t catch up with app I guess I won’t watch the show(s) How, NBC can you allow your name to be on such a craptastic app???

This app is almost superb. But, the volume varies greatly between programs &amp; some ads. I watched my local news. I had to have my phone volume all the way up, but I could hear it ok. But, when nbc nightly came on , i had to put on headphones &amp; have the volume all the way up. In one nbc nightly segment the background volume over powered the news reader. The volume does that on many ads, too. You can hear the background sounds, but the main announcement is totally silent. This is the only TV app that does this. I’ve used just about every other tv channel app available to me. The nbc app is the only one i have volume problems with.

Every time I open the app, I have to “link” my tv provider. Not once a month, not once a week, and not even once a day. It is every single time the app is opened to use, regardless if it is still running in the background. The provider can still be shown as “linked,” but I still have to select “unlink” in order for the app to not ask me to use “credits” in order to watch shows. Note selecting “unlink” does not actually unlink the provider because the NBC app doesn’t have that kind of control over providers stored in Settings. It’s obnoxious toggling to the “My Profile” screen every single time I want to watch a show. Additionally, the “Favorites” list is there sometimes and then can be completely missing in an instant, and that’s if the app doesn’t freeze in the “Home” screen time begin with. Overall this new app format is garbage compared to the one that had the tabs listed on the left side of the screen. I have come to wonder if anyone from NBC actually uses their own app. Also- I hope their developers make significant improvements with this app before NBC starts charging viewers for it.

After hearing the movie was based on the tv show, I had to see what I missed so many years ago. The show is awesome and I keep wondering why I never heard of it before now. The app is wonderful. It could be better if you get rid of the ads. You should only advertise your shows, which by the way, I found out about New Amsterdam. This show is the best medical show I have ever seen and I have seen them all. This show is sooooo underaged. NBC please find a new promoter for your tv shows because they are doing a horrible job at getting the word out to your audience....

This app is very frustrating. I finally realized that to use ChromeCast you have to start the program on your phone before telling the system to Cast it. Clunky...but ...I got used to it. But, beyond frustration is that though you can resume a show if you’ve been watching it on your phone, it won’t ‘resume’ if you hit the Cast button. Since you can’t use forward that means you have to watch the entire episode again. I was 35 minutes into an episode when I got sleepy. This morning I have to start the episode over to see it on my television. Why can’t you simply resume AND Cast? As others say...Netflix has this figured out. Why can’t NBC?
Awful with Chromecast

This is the worst app I’ve ever used with Chromecast. If you close the app at all while casting (which is the point) then the app completely freaks out. The connection rapidly switches between being connected and not being connected. So quickly that you can’t even choose to stop the process. Restarting the app doesn’t help. For whatever reason, the show will play one episode and then completely stop, as popes to moving on to the next episode in the season. It’s a three-minute process of restarting the app and trying to connect in one millisecond in order to play the next episode. Pair this with the 45 commercials per episode and it’s a lose-lose. I want to love this app, but the stability needs to be made a major focus. Otherwise Chromecast pairing shouldn’t even be offered.

I live in a nursing home. It’s very difficult to watch tv shows as they happen because you never know when someone is going to interrupt you. This is why I wait until the next day to watch The Blacklist. I can pause it during those interruptions. During the first two episodes of Season 7, there have been audio problems. I took a listen to other NBC shows and other shows on other apps with no problems. It’s just The Blacklist. I even deleted and redownloaded the app and the problem is still there. Any solutions????

Worst streaming app of all the channels. Constantly disconnects from chrome so you can’t rewind, doesn’t remember where you left off, I spent 20 minutes once trying to rewind 30 seconds, and now - is the only app that doesn’t pick up on my chrome so I have to get up and restart chrome, my TV, AND my phone before the cast to chrome option even shows up, I’m so tired of it I literally just move on to something else. No amount of refactoring will save this glitchy, slow, demoralizing app. Just toss out the entire codebase and start from scratch, and this time, preferably with non-overseas developers. Yes it’s that obvious. And whatever money you’re saving on cheap developers, you’re losing a lot more in frustrated viewers moving onto other apps like I’m about to do for the 2nd time tonight.

Please fix the background/pause bug! When you switch, press the power button to turn the screen off, or any other reason the app goes to the background while still playing video... It will pause the video but not allow you to press play and continue watching. You have to restart the video every single time! Very annoying! You need to fix this bug so when the app goes to the background while playing you can continue watching without having to restart the show or app.

I normally stream shows I really watch and love.... although I enjoy the programs, I have a problem with your annoying messages showing on my screen. I have always been connected to WIFI..... why your site insist I should be connected to cellular...... what&#39;s up with that?..... a failure on your part that needs fix?..... it would be nice and enjoyable to watch the program without annoying messages. I am sure there are plenty of people having the same issue. Other than that, NBC app is great..... just get rid of that pop up!

This is one app that is fantastic. More apps should be this great. As far as the commercials are concerned are understandable. Without commercials there would be no free shows. Someone has to pay the company that is working so hard to please the audience. I actually like the commercials for one reason. On regular tv the commercials are so depressing to watch. All they show is furneral, life Insurance, people dying and more depressing things of that nature NBC shows commercials that are more uplifting and are very short I like that. So keep up the great work and love the shows.

Easy to use app. Can watched missed shows without agreeing to 50 pages of legalese, additional charges, or having a cable tv provider. Indicates which episodes have been watched. If you have to stop mid-show, you can resume exactly where you left off. Has interesting clips. Zoey’s Playlist is my new favorite show. Great to have something positive to watch in these challenging times. I will be watching more NBC shows since it is easy to catch up if you miss any episodes. Thank you!!

This App constantly is asking me to link with my cable partner even though I’ve done it 100’s of times and tell it to “remember me.” I pay over $300 a month for cable; it would be nice if I didn’t have to login every time I want to watch mobile. But that’s not near the worst part of the app. It CONSTANTLY is glitchy and WON’T EVEN LET ME LINK WITH MY PROVIDER. I get the spinny wheel of death for a few seconds then it acts like I never clicked on link provider. I’ve tried going into settings to link and it does the same thing. I’ve e-mailed them and they know it’s an issue but 2 years later it still does it. Makes me wonder how they’re streaming service Peacock is going to be. Currently it doesn’t feel like NBC gives 2 sh**ts about investing in newer technology or fixing bugs on old ones.

This is a great app to watch my shows when I’m away from home. I still say they should make it a free app, as in not making someone go through their cable provider login. Advertisers are getting way more ad time, because when I am at home or watching a show I DVR’d, I fast forward through the commercials. On this app, you can’t. Cable is a dying industry, just like blockbuster and other video stores. Most everyone streams shows to their devices now. It would behoove tv streaming apps to open them up and let the ad money roll in.

So.............…….……… I want a good app with a fair amount of adds. There is like a hundred adds. Idea, how about you put 5 adds in the end of the episode. Or better yet, let us fast forward. THANK YOU! Thank you for ACTUALLY supporting the iPhone X screen with your actual content, and not just the menu/interface! Almost every other major network app only supports the iPhone X screen for their menus and player interfaces, leaving big black bars down the side of the actual shows. I would suggest maybe adding the option to zoom out also for those who prefer to see the entire picture rather than fill the screen, like the built-in iPhone video player does. But thank you for the REAL iPhone X support!
No Way to Earn Credits

When I downloaded the app, I was given three credits to use. Fine, I thought, I’ll see what it costs to get more afterwards. But there’s no way to buy or earn credits — at least not that I can find anywhere on the app or online. I don’t even see a way to purchase a subscription separate from a cable account, which is absurd for those of us living where broadcast is hard to get. If I want to watch something from a broadcast channel (which is supposed to be freely accessible over the airwaves), then why can’t I use the app instead?! It’s not like the app doesn’t have commercials, so this makes no sense. If they’re not going to even give me a way to literally give them my money, then I guess I’ll just start watching shows on other networks.

I have had this app for a while. One day it logged me out from my cable provider and now I’m no longer able to log in using cable provider. It tells me my password is incorrect (I’ve even changed my password with my active provider) and gives me an error message. Please fix this issue.

This is my first ever app review and it’s because it’s impossible to watch anything on the app. It keeps erroring out saying it has difficulties playing back... or something like that. During this COVID 19 quarantine I decided to cut my cable because we don’t really watch TV. So I said why pay for TV and channels I don’t even watch? So I bought the Roku and then some preferred Apps, Amazon Prime and Disney Plus. I saw that I had 3 credits with NBC and I thought maybe I can earn or buy more credits later on. So I cut my cable and found out I will not be watching NBC ever again! That’s too bad for the NBC App. You had me at 3 credits but non reoccurring credits, NBC just lost a customer!

Video typically plays for 20-40 seconds, then freezes, jumps 5 seconds forward - constantly. All other streaming services (YouTube, Netflix, Prime, DirectTV, Disney +) work fine to rule out internet issues.

Honestly, it’s just like any streaming app. Yes it has its little glitches here and there, but the ads are what’s unbearable. Five ads during every frequent break is excessive. I understand appeasing sponsors and what not, but that’s way too many. Going to uninstall it and try to find another way to watch the shows.

Problems casting via chromecast

1. In order for the casting icon to appear I have to click on a show, wait for it to start up &amp; then back out and click the cast icon. 2. When I finally click the cast icon, on my tv it says “ready to cast” but one of 2 things happens... a. Only the sound is casted, I can hear the show, but the screen image is still the NBC logo and “ready to cast” OR b. Nothing happens and it shows a spinning wheel on the bottom left side of the logo screen. It’s is INCREDIBLY frustrating to have an app update weeks on weeks and this issue not be fixed!

I just downloaded the app last week and I was thrilled at all the shows I could watch until I realized most of them are locked or some past seasons cannot be viewed. There are a ton of glitches where the show stops and spins for several seconds to minutes before the show will resume. The back button never works when I press it so I have missed parts of the show I really wanted to watch!

When I cast the video to my TV it works okay for a few minutes... then the chromecast disconnects itself for some unknown reason. The episode keeps playing though. It gets worse. When I reconnect the chromecast it starts the episode from the very beginning. I uninstalled. Fix this issue and I may come back.

It’s a good selection of shows and everything, but there are so many bugs that it’s impossible to enjoy. The app doesn’t always respond to the controls, especially the rewind, and there isn’t any fast forward option in case you went back 3 minutes because you kept tapping on the rewind button trying to get it to work. My biggest issue is that the audio keeps cutting out, just for a split second, but it happens every few seconds. Changed headphones and it’s not that, and it doesn’t happen with any of my other apps, so it’s definitely the app. It’s really frustrating to keep missing bits of the show, and, as already addressed, the rewind feature can’t exactly help there.

Great access, but terribly slow. Sometimes it would take a dozen attempts over the course of over an hour to get one show to begin to load. And, no, for the record, that is not due to my connection or service provider, both are of premium quality. Other apps like Showtime, HBO, ABC, etc. would kid just fine.
Bonus commercials if you do anything besides play from beginning of show.

It is so frustrating that on top of having to fight to get the app to work while casting that I have to watch 5 commercials each time I try to adjust it. There was no time bar to adjust and so I had to cancel,start,adjust,recast,and when that didn’t work adjust again, and each time you start, cast or adjust it played 5 commercials that aren’t even the designated ones on the time bar. Also, there is no 30 second skip ahead to more deftly get back to where I was when the app lost my place in the show.

I have never written an app review before but I felt compelled too. While the nbc app can glitch at times, I have found immense difficulties with the nbc app on Apple TV. In order to watch an episode you have to wait an absurd amount of time for it to load - and even then it won’t. Typically, it will take 4 times to exit and enter the app in order for the show to load. If the show I was watching wasn’t only on nbc, I promise I would not use this app.

Supposedly this app is compatible with my Apple iPad Pro. However, when I start up the app many times it sits on my screen with a gray arrow in a circle in the middle of a gray screen—there are no buttons or icons that you may click on to “wake up” this frozen screen. The only way I can get out of this dead end is to remove the app and reload it from the app store. Then it may work but not always. If I have a lucky break, it works fine. What I have described often occurs when I select a “Live” news program, and is more likely to work with non-live shows.

This is a great app and I love how you can watch any tv show that isn’t available now a days. But one thing I absolutely HATE about it is that you only get three credits and most people, like me, can’t access their cable password so they can’t link it to their providers. Even for younger people their parents may say no. So I think there should be daily three credits you receive if you log in or something like that. Sad to say most people like me with this problem only download it for three episodes and delete it again.

There are several ads every couple minutes and those ads are the same every time. It truly is terrible and there is no reason for this app when many others can figure their stuff out better than NBC.

App not linking to provider

Zero stars: After a recent update, the NBC and Bravo apps no longer render the log-in correctly to link provider (the forgot id and password are now shifted to the right off the screen). I can watch NBC channels in my DirectTV app and link provider fine in other TV apps. I used to prefer watching TV using the NBC or Bravo TV apps, now I can’t. Now, I get the error message, “Sign In Error ‘That user ID doesn’t seem to work here. Please sign in with a different ID. Care Code: 205.4” I’ve even tried reporting the problem and got an annoying email with generic, how to sign in instructions. I’m not seeing any “outages” in my area (I am watching online using the app, not using my apple tv or att/directv box), my user ID isn’t the problem and still works elsewhere.

It’s aggravating how often the live stream just stops with the message ‘error occurred’. Having to force close an app multiple times a day is really inexcusable in 2020. Shoddy app, for sure.

The reason I didn’t give this app a higher rating is because of the poor tv quality. If I pause the show too long, when returning to the show, the show stops and goes continuously! It is so annoying. However, the commercials run smoothly. This is very disappointing and ruins the quality and integrity of the show.

This is with excellent internet and WiFi access with no issues casting from other applications...... NBC why are you an ancient dinosaur so stuck in the past..... why should people considering cable cutting even stay with you if you can’t provide basic services on your app? That’s right, they shouldn’t.

I usually hesitate to write negative reviews but I have been trying to use this app for at least a year to a year and a half, hoping they’d work the bugs out of it by now. I have a few shows I really enjoy watching and like to be able to catch up on them on my phone or laptop when I’m not home. I have tried downloading this app on several different phones, ranging from LG phones to iPhones 8+, iphone11, my MacBook, and my Visio and Phillips smart TVs. On every device I have tried it freezes up, runs slow or just stops working altogether. Very frustrating!

I love NBC and CBS shows . However this app is a such a waste of time. The commercials are frequent and absurdly long. This stretches out the story and really makes one no I want to stream on NBC. NBC needs to stop and really look at their market. Peacock paid subscription is launching with no original significant or inspirational content.there is this time wasting lousy commercial riddled app. What a waste of a brand

Show set up is perfect sating which shows I watched already and what shows I have not watched. I would like to have a variety of commercials rather than the same one every time. The option to suggest wha it I might also like does not correlate, but a fine idea none the less. I would like to perhaps have the suggestion of what other shows - that I am watching, or subscribe to _ be shown as what the watch next . My own marathon! How about what brand new shows are coming up ! How about what we were enjoying to what - and waiting for the next season - tell us when they will be back! Thanks !

I almost ALWAYS use HULU - I pay the extra few $$ for NO COMMERCIALS! Of course this “stay-at-home” order have pushed me to want to catch up on old episodes of ‘Dateline’. But after watching the very first episode, and having to be subjected to 12 commercial breaks - each containing the same 5 commercials - the urge has gone and I’ll be removing the app from my streaming device. Sorry NBC - this girl HATES commercials!!

I’ve never seen so many negative people reviewing this app. I love it. It’s great for what it does. It’s a streaming app people. Not tv with a rewind button and all the bells and whistles but it serves its purpose. I can catch up on my soaps and watch something nostalgic or a documentary. Thank you NBC. All you haters go back to paying $200. Per month for TV. Here you can watch what you want when you want!

I love Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist. I just wish I could see the credits at the end. They are dimmed and blocked by suggested programs. Just saying that I am a couch potato and I appreciate watching the credits roll as I silently thank them for a wonderful show.

I there was a guy before me who wrote a review saying he would be willing to pay more to NBC they would take out commercials. I agree in sentiment, I AM addicted to MSNBC, but I am NO LONGER interested in spending three times more for cable than internet and WITH commercials! I do nOT appreciate being sent a text advertising/promoting an APP that DOES eventually cost BIG $$ and mentions NOTHING about it.

I got this app because they make you get the app to warch a show, but why can’t i just watch it on the browser??! At least my browser actually works. Not a single feature of this app works even just the simple act of streaming a video. It just goes dark and unresponsive. Trying to log in kept being frozen with a loading bar after logging in with google. I finally gave up and skipped it but then playing a video also doesn’t work. Just let me stream on safari and stop wasting my time

I use this app on my Apple TV to watch live TV in the morning. If I close this app while watching live TV, then every day in the morning when I open it back up I am presented an “error has occurred” screen and must force quit the app and reopen it in order to get anything in the live tv section to load.

Morning joe is most negative reporting one can see and hear. Things are so out of context that they are lies. You can not like our president but he never given any credit for anything he may have done or said that has aided our country. Get over this personal dislike. I don’t like to watch or listen to him but I do look where our country is due to some of his business acumen. I would like to hear what some of your people would have done in this particular crisis if they had been president. Not one that I have seen has asked this question of their guest. Glad I have other choices to watch and I do believe there are better times ahead which I have not heard out of the mouths of this show’s vitriolic voices and opinions.

Dealing with the same 5 sets of 3 minutes worth of ads per episode is bad as it is but understandable because we ARE watching great stuff for free but then the credit/ key situation is a whole new level. To watch a short 2 series show with 29 episodes total required a BUNCH of fake emails I had to make and delete. And the fact that there is no other way to get more other than “connecting to a tv provide” is bs. Other than the ungodly amount of ads and dealing with keys, this app is still pretty good. It’s free and there are shows on it that are not on other apps. I’m sure if something’s done about it, there would be far more people getting the app and many more 5 star reviews!

Grumpy about terrible rewind feature

I have never written an app review before, but the most recent update to this app has made me so frustrated. In general - its a great app to access lots of shows on demand, and I appreciate the deep library (though I’d like if previous seasons of many shows were carried so I could watch back episodes) but recently, the glitchiness of the app is making my experience terrible. If I try to rewind using the 10 second rewind button, it will often go to commercial, and then pick back up 3-4 minutes ahead of where I was at - making that rewind button totally non-functional and also aggravating me as I have to continue to watch the same 5 commercials over and over again just to be moved forward in the show and have to rewind again to get back to my spot... then often rewinding gets me more commercials and it’s just... exhausting. Fix the issue, so shows can be streamed and rewinded. Also, I’d be happy to pay for a commercial free version of NBC. Will that ever be a possibility? It takes longer than it should to watch a single show because of the excessive commercials...

Hey NBC fans, sounds like there’s some “user” issues being projected onto the app. Some info that may resolve those, For the “Can’t log into cable provider”, You’ll need to get the providers password for “free” full episode streaming, that’s the fact, if cable is being paid for, the app is a perk to watch your paid service channels when away from home so why would you want to pay twice? Ask the person whose cable profile you’re wanting to use what the password is cuz app developers can’t help you here . To “App freezing” person, sounds like again it’s “user error”, try deleting the app from the device you’re streaming from, cell phone/tablet, update that device to its most recent OS , that’s Operating System for non techie peeps, eg, iphone iOS 12.0.4, Settings&gt;General&gt;Update and run any updates, hows your Apple device gonna work if you’ve got it speaking an old language when the app developers update their compatibility in their apps to be smarter than you’re devices OS? For the little green guy users, Settings, well i’m not a fan of the little green guy os so hopefully you know how to update your own droid. didn’t keep reading the posts on NBC app for more advice but I think the app works as expected i especially like the speed in which the shows episodes are available! Keep up the good work!

It’s a shame that this company was allowed the broadcast rights to the premier league soccer. NBC app never works and always glitches to where you can’t watch live tv on any streaming device, how can you have this main tv app be so bad when your NBC sports Gold (another program I have to PAY for for access to Premier league soccer) for the most part works fine. This has been an ongoing issue for over a year and still no fix. Consumers pay hundreds of dollars to them and they can’t correct issues that don’t have with other companies like ESPN app. If I am required to pay for access to premier league games you should allow me the ability to watch all games thru your companies various platforms, not having your NBC sports channel competing with the main NBC channel. I’m sure if I was lodging a complaint to watch American football it would be fixed quickly but for soccer (the most popular WORLD sport) they won’t do anything about it. NBC I hope you see this and have a fix before the new year starts or you can expect more viewers will reach out to the premier league to have them look for new partners for broadcast rights!

This app is great for watching shows I miss when I’m at my dads house. My parents very recently got divorced and at my dads house I have a tv that doesn’t get cable and I love watching AGT, so I downloaded this app and I love the shows on here. But there is the problem, none of us can activate the our cable company. It’s not this app’s fault, but we don’t know the password and I only have one credit left. I wish it would give me more credits or I can earn them in some way. As soon as I can I will connect the cable company on, but I would love to see a way you can earn credits. I would say it would be very popular for people in my situation and it would be great for advertising some of the partners to NBC. If someone is sponsoring the app, it would benefit everyone (and of course by that I mean the sponsors and watchers). I would understand if this wasn’t a possibility, but I would still love to see it. This is a great app.

So I was using this and it was working for a while. I linked my tv provider and everything and it was working fine. Well today it wouldn’t let me watch an episode. It kept popping up the “link provider” screen (it does this a lot) I would click the link provider option and it wouldn’t play the episode. It would just go back to the screen where you pick the episode you want to watch. I click the episode and again click the link provider option. I did this several times before I got frustrated. I deleted the app and reinstalled it. I was putting in the tv provider information and once it told me there were issues and to please try again later. I waited a bit and tried it and now it says “external system failure” and I don’t even know what that means. It worked great for a while. I’m just upset that it stopped now.

It’s so frustrating that out of maybe 40 episodes of a series, that you can only watch al few because you are locked out. All this is doing is making your customers disappointed about your service, henceforth, they just don’t bother with NBC. Have you not read your reviews..? You should, because they speak even louder to my complaint. You have a lot of great shows so if someone wants to watch isn’t that what you’re suppose to provide? So, please fix this and make your customers happy and satisfied. SERVICE brings repeat business. Don’t get away from this fact. And now, I can’t use my own nickname on my review because it’s taken????? WHAT? So, why are we not allowed to use our own. You seriously need to get rid of whoever is responsible for this app and get someone who understands business models. Service and honesty. Start there.
Very Buggy, No Favorites feature

I have the NBC App on my AppleTV and it is absolutely terrible. Here are my main problems with it: 1. There is no option to “favorite” shows that I frequently watch, so every time I want to watch a specific show, I have to scroll through the entire list of shows or go to search and type in the show I want to watch, which is a pain and is more time consuming than just going to favorites and clicking on the next episode of a favorite show. 2. The app also forces me to verify my cable tv provider every time I want to watch something, whereas every single other app I use only prompts me to do this once upon initial sign in, if at all. 3. Integration with Apple’s TV app is rubbish. The TV app tracks shows you’ve watched throughout various apps and suggests the most recent episode or continuation of episodes/movies that you didn’t finish, all without leaving the home screen. With the NBC app, it usually doesn’t suggest the next episode at all or suggests shows I’ve watched already. 4. My last major problem with the app is that it constantly freezes during the episode, so I have to exit the episode and then play it again. It would be nice to watch an episode straight through without issues. I don’t recommend this app. It’s easier just to switch back and forth between my cable box and AppleTV or watch a different network.

I love that I have access to all of the NBC series’ and can choose older episodes to catch up. The one detractor I have found so far are the constant plugs for all the current NBC shows. The first 2-3 times I see a plug for a show I feel they have garnered my interest. After that I am starting to get annoyed. Please mix it up, I feel like I don’t want to watch Brooklyn 99 now after watching the same plug 10 times while binging 4 episodes of AP Bio. Maybe have multiple clips to plug a show to mix it up a bit. That being said it was awesome getting to delve into a show I was not able to watch last year. Who knows, maybe next year I will be watching Brooklyn 99 episodes and the NBC app will provide different clips of the new show they are plugging at that time.

The app is good, but please next time try to play your own shows before the uploading: the last two episodes (E23 and E24 – semi-final) of &#34;The Voice&#34; having so much problems, the sound and picture are scattering like 5 or more times! You can see this even at the begging of the show, when Blake Shelton and Trace Adkins singing &#34;Hell Right&#34;. And it’s not just me or my device or network connection – I tried to watch this episode on my computer, from browser, on official site (and even tried to find a WebRip of it), the same scattering and freezes. I couldn’t believe that company like that, NBC, uploaded defective copies of the show... I hope you’ll fix this problem soon and the final episodes will be without these problems. P.S. Sorry for my English, it’s not my native language. UPD: The Finale is great, and without glitches. Thank you.

Terrible business model. A lot of people use these apps because they are cable cutters, cord cutters, or whatever the proper vernacular is these days. The bottom line is that if you limit what people can watch because they do not have a cable provider, which I have not had in over a decade and never will again, it is not going to motivate them to get one. You lose viewers that way. In an age where most people use devices other than a TV to watch favorite shows, you would THINK networks like NBC would catch on, drop the provider requirement, and increase the amount of viewers on the platform. I noticed a week or so ago that I can no longer access episodes that I would have been able to watch (eventually). This is unfortunate because that&#39;s one less person being subjected to the constant barrage of advertisements that interrupt the show. I am sure advertisers will catch on...

I first used the NBC app when my service providers app on demand was missing recent episodes of Chicago P.D. why IDK but I was able to find and play the missing episodes (others besides Chicago P.D. ) and while I enjoy just being able to access these shows ( and I have no streaming difficulties), I have to agree with some other comments that there COULD be a favorites menu, and NBC could go as far as CBS has and offer subscription access. CBS currently has two subscriber options - one with less commercials (which I found to be an advertising stretch) and the other choice is COMMERCIAL FREE. People WILL pay for commercial free tv, especially if your network airs many of the shows they like to watch. Some things to think about NBC.

My family can’t afford cable, we just use streaming services... I used the app to watch Heroes (one of my all-time FAVORITE shows, I couldn’t believe they had it on the app, as it’s really old, let alone all of the seasons), but when I got to like the 4th episode it said I had to put in my cable information. I looked around and couldn’t find anything allowing me to purchase a subscription. I would seriously pay for this stuff, great shows on here. But there’s no options for subscriptions unless you pay for it through your cable provider. Get with the times NBC, HBO does it, so why can’t you? And taking back The Office when you guys know people won’t be able to watch the content they love on Netflix because you want to somehow make better bank through the cable companies? Really? Not impressed
Terrible for streaming

“It’s a always fun when we get to watch a little TV between commercials.” - my husband to me as we are trying to watch a show from the middle of the episode. Most times if we don’t finish an entire episode, the app does not save our place (or saves somewhere mid-episode, but not where we actually are). If I am casting to the TV from my phone, most times there is no progress bar on my phone for me to change where we are so I have to disconnect from the TV to find my spot and then re-cast. Every time I slide the progress bar in the episode we have to re-watch a whole round of commercials. Just now, it took about 15-20 minutes (and multiple whole commercial breaks) just to get to our last watched spot. We watched about a minute of the show and then were blasted with another break of commercials. Once we finish this season of the show we’re watching, we’re done with this app for good.
Chromecast barely functional.

The only reason I decided to download the app is because the player on the internet doesn’t have a chromecast button, and casting the tab itself in order to view NBC on my tv has a slight lag that I wasn’t happy with. Now the app itself is ok on its own, but again then only reason I downloaded it was for the chromecast feature. When casting, it works fine for the initial cast, however afterwards you cannot control any of the features: Closed captioning, volume, even playing, stopping or switching episodes. Sometimes if you close the app and reopen it the app will work fine for a few seconds, however after that it is not functional again. Defitnely going to uninstall this app and use others that actually work once I’ve caught up on This is Us. Honestly just take a look at ABCs app, obviously their developers were paid more, because there’s is flawless.

Really enjoying the app. Because of a new show I have never watched. Started watching a show I have never seen. &#34;Taken&#34; I was looking forward to watching &#34;The Blacklist.&#34; I could not watch it from Season One since you have to have detailed personal information to get into the last seasons of many shows. Since my husband is out of town and we are in the process of moving, I did not have any cable set up information as in passwords etc... Due to this information required, many shows were limited for me. I am not one to start watching a night time drama series from Season Four. It is pertinent to start from the beginning of a story line.

Every day at 6:30 I open this app to catch the evening news while I’m wrapping up at work. Gotta make sure we aren’t at war with someone. Today I opened the newly updated app and I’m looking at Housewives of Beverly Hills. Ugh, what did you do? I see all the other “networks of NBC” but not just my local NBC station. Can I not watch it anymore? I noticed you didn’t broadcast the first story on Facebook Live today either. Are you not showing that program online anymore? Update 7/10 - Well, the local station comes on now - it still says “Housewives...” but I can see the news. Or I could. Now, nothing comes up. I can tell every time you update this app, it all stops working. Do app developers get paid by the number of updates they make to their app. STOP updating it, it worked fine before you started messing with it.

First, much of the content requires you to sign in. If your provider is not on the list, then you can get a pass by giving them your email address. Enough places have my email already so I passed on that one. Xfinity-Comcast (mine) is not in the provider list - I don&#39;t get that one since they&#39;re NBC&#39;s parent company and has a huge subscriber base so they&#39;re denying access to a lot of people. Edited 8/17- the quick developer response really helped - thank you! Content for shows go back more than a week so you might find something you didn&#39;t know you missed plus you can watch episodes of old shows without having to subscribe with a credit card - much appreciated.

There is nothing like downloading an app and knowing all of the wonderful features that you can have. Unfortunately with this app it&#39;s all teasers. Five minutes in the jimmy Fallon, App crashes. Over and over and over and over and over again. It&#39;s almost as if Jimmy Fallon doesn&#39;t know what a crappy provider he is signed with. I haven&#39;t been able to keep current on this show for over a year due to the fact that it literally crashes within five minutes of the show started, which is super awesome there is nothing like thinking hey I could&#39;ve watch Jimmy Fallon and a celebrity chat the way that they normally do in such a fun playful manner and then just have the app crashed on you over, and over, and over, and over again. Pull it together NBC The way of watching TV has changed dramatically consider keeping up or being pushed out.

Show set up is perfect sating which shows I watched already and what shows I have not watched. I would like to have a variety of commercials rather than the same one every time. The option to suggest wha it I might also like does not correlate, but a fine idea none the less. I would like to perhaps have the suggestion of what other shows - that I am watching, or subscribe to _ be shown as what the watch next . My own marathon! How about what brand new shows are coming up ! How about what we were enjoying to what - and waiting for the next season - tell us when they will be back! Thanks !
Apple TV App Terrible

We have this app on our Apple TV and it is AWFUL. It has always had glitches and continues to do so despite updates over the last several years. The menus constantly freeze up, sometimes they never load and you have to restart the app and when it does work it is incredibly slow. It also freezes up our Apple TV for about 15 seconds when you close out of the app. No other app does this on our Apple TV so we know it’s not that. It also glitches at commercials and will play a few seconds of a commercial and then start over several times before completing the commercial. Sometimes you have to pause and un-pause the commercial to get it to play through so you can get back to your show. Wish there was a way to watch a few of my shows that are only available to watch through this app. TERRIBLE.

This is the best app of the big 4- ABC, NBC, FOX and CBS. I&#39;m not constantly annoyed by commercials that go on too frequently and forever and I like how I can go back 10 seconds at a pop, like with Netflix, to watch a part I missed. And I can go back further in the show without being forced to rewatch the commercial over again, which ABC makes you do. Speaking of commercials, they&#39;re varied, unlike ABC which show the same commercial again. And FOX&#39;s &#34; you can choose to interact with commercials to see less of then&#34; pop ups on the screen are truly annoying. This is the best of the network apps.

But just to point out if your in “CALIFORNIA” and if your a full time “Student”you can get internet service for like $10 a month... not only do you get internet w/WiFi But you also get phone service and cable as well. Latest upgrade was a letdown!

I used to love this app! Had no problems whatsoever. But ever since the latest upgrade, I haven&#39;t been able to sign in to my provider, and according to other reviewers, I am not the only one. NBC what have y&#39;all done? You had better come up with a fix for us and quickly, or you will be losing customers. The problem is we cannot sign in. We click on our providers and either it takes us to a blank page, to it does nothing at all. This is your responsibility to fix, so do it ASAP! I knew I should not have &#34;upgraded&#34;. Doing so is always such a gamble! Before you ask me to delete and re-download, I have already down that. Plus I have tried every way of signing in there is to be found so it is not user error. It is NBC error! Fix this please for everyone! Only then will you see more 5 stars!

Dealing with the same 5 sets of 3 minutes worth of ads per episode is bad as it is but understandable because we ARE watching great stuff for free but then the credit/ key situation is a whole new level. To watch a short 2 series show with 29 episodes total required a BUNCH of fake emails I had to make and delete. And the fact that there is no other way to get more other than “connecting to a tv provide” is bs. Other than the ungodly amount of ads and dealing with keys, this app is still pretty good. It’s free and there are shows on it that are not on other apps. I’m sure if something’s done about it, there would be far more people getting the app and many more 5 star reviews!

There are many issues with this app. First, it streams (on Chromecast) horribly. Forget rewinding. It’s tough to literally rewind. Afterwards, it goes to commercial, skips forwards or backwards and simply doesn’t work. Like others have said, it freezes and you end up having to start from the beginning. I’ve had to cook, wash clothes, complete homework or pretty much anything else to keep myself busy until it returns to the time stamp I was watching. Yes, it’s that bad. I’m really surprised by the 5 star (even 3 star) reviews. I always exhale before opening the app, because I know I’ll have to deal with a massive amount of frustration just to get to see anything. I rarely visit this app now. It’s too much work and the ease of having an app at all is greatly diminished by the awful glitches (and headache) associated with this app. Thumbs down, way down, NBC.

This app is great because it let’s you watch TV, newish episodes, without having a cable subscription. Yes there are commercials, but again this is free! The one thing that I really don’t like is that when I just watched a set of commercials, and the show starts up again, if I missed something and rewind, it’s really easy to rewind too far and then I have to watch all of the commercials again. Commercials should be a onetime pass in my opinion, that is, after you watched a set of commercials, you should be able to rewind to previous sections without having to sit through the same commercials again.

This app is ok as far as network apps go. Not too many commercial, unlike ABC, relatively easy to use. Only caveat: I wish it would take me directly into the entire list of episodes for the last show watched, instead of only listing the last two. I was watching season 1 of a show, but the next time I logged in, it went automatically to Sea. 2. It took me a few seconds to realize and go back to season 1, but since then, it shows that episode in the 2 last watched, which is confusing... Annoying to have to go back through the whole list of shows to bring up all available episodes....

The app works well unless you have to pause what you’re watching and resume later. The app tends to ‘not’ resume and a restart Is often required to get back to viewing the stalled show. Also, there are way too many commercials. I can get the same shows On Demand with only 2 commercials per break or skip them altogether on dish network. With this app, there’s no skipping or even fast-forwarding during regular playback. The only way to advance forward is by using the slider and if you skip past any commercial break, you’re forced to watch those commercials anyway. For old shows, some three or more years old, this is both unreasonable and unnecessary.

Every Sunday night, LIKE CLOCKWORK, I try to use the app to stream the football game, and then entire first half of the game is spent dealing with the app constantly crashing and repeatedly connecting and disconnecting from the AppleTV air play. It&#39;s the most frustrating thing ever. I&#39;m assuming most people using this app to stream content are mostly doing so directly on their devices. But when attempting to air play content (at least NFL games) from the app, it&#39;s terrible. I feel like this could be solved if your AppleTV app was capable of streaming live tv. I still for the life of me can&#39;t understand why it doesn&#39;t. I really hope your tech team is working on both of these incredibly frustrating elements.

I have never opened this app before but wanted to. I&#39;m now stuck on rehab from broken bones and was thrilled how easy it was. All I needed was my cell number from the account. It also works with knowing the email associated with the account or the account number. From there I got steps that walked me through. And what a life saver from boredom!!! I got to catch up on my favorite shows I missed, and can start the season I didn&#39;t watch. I was able to pause, and come back to start where I left. Yes, there are 3 commercials to watch during a break, but since this is a free service, I did not mind.
Really disappointing app

This is a very disappointing app. At first I thought it would be great to be able to really take in the olympics this way. Unfortunately they didn’t think this one out very well. First most annoying aspect is that it constantly has a screen stating that coverage will begin shortly yet you can leave it on for a half hour and nothing happens. When you look in the schedule section it just says live. Come on! People have lives. You didn’t think to maybe put a count down or the actual time it will begin in the schedule?? 2nd most annoying is that there is very little actual coverage between commercial breaks. They’ll show one ski run and then switch to a couple commercials. Come on! I know you have to pay the bills, but you’ve got to think it out better than that.

I love this app, but there r some things that make me sooo annoyed 1. The sound, I don&#39;t know if it is my iPad or the app that makes me have trouble with the volume. But the thing is that I alway need to make the volume the loudest it can be then slowly make it quieter then repeat that about 20 times and when I hear it I want to make it more quite because it is too loud then I need to repeat the entire thing once more. It might not be my iPad because I have no problem with the volume on you tube 2. There r too many adds. I love to watch Harry Potter with my cousin, and we would both agree that there r too many adds. Another thing that made me even more angry is that u can&#39;t skip or cancel the adds. Plz do something about it, I would like to enjoy my movie without to much adds Those to r two things that annoy me so pls fix it but mostly the second one because I&#39;m not sure about the first one because it might just be my iPad I love watching movies on this app just pls fix those. I am pretty sure the latest update was developed by CBS or ABC in order to drive traffic to them. It is working. The app freezes while loading, constantly tells me I’m not connected to WiFi even though I am, then freezes on that screen. When I try to link to cable provider I have to shut down my tablet EVERY. TIME. True on my kindle and iPad.. Luckily, for my tablets I know it’s not their fault. It’s so frequent I have been tempted to throw my viewing device. I haven’t made it through a fall premiere viewing with app. Add to all the above the commercials aren’t timed to match show breaks causing scenes to abruptly end, sometimes mid sentence. I typically don’t write reviews but this app is awful. If I can’t catch up with app I guess I won’t watch the show(s) How, NBC can you allow your name to be on such a craptastic app???

This app is almost superb. But, the volume varies greatly between programs &amp; some ads. I watched my local news. I had to have my phone volume all the way up, but I could hear it ok. But, when nbc nightly came on , i had to put on headphones &amp; have the volume all the way up. In one nbc nightly segment the background volume over powered the news reader. The volume does that on many ads, too. You can hear the background sounds, but the main announcement is totally silent. This is the only TV app that does this. I’ve used just about every other tv channel app available to me. The nbc app is the only one i have volume problems with.

Every time I open the app, I have to “link” my tv provider. Not once a month, not once a week, and not even once a day. It is every single time the app is opened to use, regardless if it is still running in the background. The provider can still be shown as “linked,” but I still have to select “unlink” in order for the app to not ask me to use “credits” in order to watch shows. Note selecting “unlink” does not actually unlink the provider because the NBC app doesn’t have that kind of control over providers stored in Settings. It’s obnoxious toggling to the “My Profile” screen every single time I want to watch a show. Additionally, the “Favorites” list is there sometimes and then can be completely missing in an instant, and that’s if the app doesn’t freeze in the “Home” screen time begin with. Overall this new app format is garbage compared to the one that had the tabs listed on the left side of the screen. I have come to wonder if anyone from NBC actually uses their own app. Also- I hope their developers make significant improvements with this app before NBC starts charging viewers for it.

After hearing the movie was based on the tv show, I had to see what I missed so many years ago. The show is awesome and I keep wondering why I never heard of it before now. The app is wonderful. It could be better if you get rid of the ads. You should only advertise your shows, which by the way, I found out about New Amsterdam. This show is the best medical show I have ever seen and I have seen them all. This show is sooooo underaged. NBC please find a new promoter for your tv shows because they are doing a horrible job at getting the word out to your audience....
Casting starts the show at the start

This app is very frustrating. I finally realized that to use ChromeCast you have to start the program on your phone before telling the system to Cast it. Clunky...but ...I got used to it. But, beyond frustration is that though you can resume a show if you’ve been watching it on your phone, it won’t ‘resume’ if you hit the Cast button. Since you can’t use forward that means you have to watch the entire episode again. I was 35 minutes into an episode when I got sleepy. This morning I have to start the episode over to see it on my television. Why can’t you simply resume AND Cast? As others say...Netflix has this figured out. Why can’t NBC?
Awful with Chromecast

This is the worst app I’ve ever used with Chromecast. If you close the app at all while casting (which is the point) then the app completely freaks out. The connection rapidly switches between being connected and not being connected. So quickly that you can’t even choose to stop the process. Restarting the app doesn’t help. For whatever reason, the show will play one episode and then completely stop, as popes to moving on to the next episode in the season. It’s a three-minute process of restarting the app and trying to connect in one millisecond in order to play the next episode. Pair this with the 45 commercials per episode and it’s a lose-lose. I want to love this app, but the stability needs to be made a major focus. Otherwise Chromecast pairing shouldn’t even be offered.
The Blacklist

I live in a nursing home. It’s very difficult to watch tv shows as they happen because you never know when someone is going to interrupt you. This is why I wait until the next day to watch The Blacklist. I can pause it during those interruptions. During the first two episodes of Season 7, there have been audio problems. I took a listen to other NBC shows and other shows on other apps with no problems. It’s just The Blacklist. I even deleted and redownloaded the app and the problem is still there. Any solutions????

Worst streaming app of all the channels. Constantly disconnects from chrome so you can’t rewind, doesn’t remember where you left off, I spent 20 minutes once trying to rewind 30 seconds, and now - is the only app that doesn’t pick up on my chrome so I have to get up and restart chrome, my TV, AND my phone before the cast to chrome option even shows up, I’m so tired of it I literally just move on to something else. No amount of refactoring will save this glitchy, slow, demoralizing app. Just toss out the entire codebase and start from scratch, and this time, preferably with non-overseas developers. Yes it’s that obvious. And whatever money you’re saving on cheap developers, you’re losing a lot more in frustrated viewers moving onto other apps like I’m about to do for the 2nd time tonight.

Please fix the background/pause bug! When you switch, press the power button to turn the screen off, or any other reason the app goes to the background while still playing video... It will pause the video but not allow you to press play and continue watching. You have to restart the video every single time! Very annoying! You need to fix this bug so when the app goes to the background while playing you can continue watching without having to restart the show or app.

I normally stream shows I really watch and love.... although I enjoy the programs, I have a problem with your annoying messages showing on my screen. I have always been connected to WIFI..... why your site insist I should be connected to cellular...... what&#39;s up with that?..... a failure on your part that needs fix?..... it would be nice and enjoyable to watch the program without annoying messages. I am sure there are plenty of people having the same issue. Other than that, NBC app is great..... just get rid of that pop up!

This is one app that is fantastic. More apps should be this great. As far as the commercials are concerned are understandable. Without commercials there would be no free shows. Someone has to pay the company that is working so hard to please the audience. I actually like the commercials for one reason. On regular tv the commercials are so depressing to watch. All they show is furneral, life Insurance, people dying and more depressing things of that nature NBC shows commercials that are more uplifting and are very short I like that. So keep up the great work and love the shows.

Easy to use app. Can watched missed shows without agreeing to 50 pages of legalese, additional charges, or having a cable tv provider. Indicates which episodes have been watched. If you have to stop mid-show, you can resume exactly where you left off. Has interesting clips. Zoey’s Playlist is my new favorite show. Great to have something positive to watch in these challenging times. I will be watching more NBC shows since it is easy to catch up if you miss any episodes. Thank you!!

This App constantly is asking me to link with my cable partner even though I’ve done it 100’s of times and tell it to “remember me.” I pay over $300 a month for cable; it would be nice if I didn’t have to login every time I want to watch mobile. But that’s not near the worst part of the app. It CONSTANTLY is glitchy and WON’T EVEN LET ME LINK WITH MY PROVIDER. I get the spinny wheel of death for a few seconds then it acts like I never clicked on link provider. I’ve tried going into settings to link and it does the same thing. I’ve e-mailed them and they know it’s an issue but 2 years later it still does it. Makes me wonder how they’re streaming service Peacock is going to be. Currently it doesn’t feel like NBC gives 2 sh**ts about investing in newer technology or fixing bugs on old ones.

This is a great app to watch my shows when I’m away from home. I still say they should make it a free app, as in not making someone go through their cable provider login. Advertisers are getting way more ad time, because when I am at home or watching a show I DVR’d, I fast forward through the commercials. On this app, you can’t. Cable is a dying industry, just like blockbuster and other video stores. Most everyone streams shows to their devices now. It would behoove tv streaming apps to open them up and let the ad money roll in.

The commercials are the worst I’ll be spending my time at Netflix right now. With no adds, and great shows it’s fabulous! I was hoping I could watch Ellen’s Game Of Games on a wonderful free app in my room because I’m sick. I am not allowed downstairs when I’m sick and I’m missing my favorite shows. So.............…….……… I want a good app with a fair amount of adds. There is like a hundred adds. Idea, how about you put 5 adds in the end of the episode. Or better yet, let us fast forward. I will be watching my new favorite show , Lucky Dog on the CBS app. ( little trick. THANK YOU! Thank you for ACTUALLY supporting the iPhone X screen with your actual content, and not just the menu/interface! Almost every other major network app only supports the iPhone X screen for their menus and player interfaces, leaving big black bars down the side of the actual shows. I would suggest maybe adding the option to zoom out also for those who prefer to see the entire picture rather than fill the screen, like the built-in iPhone video player does. But thank you for the REAL iPhone X support!
No Way to Earn Credits

When I downloaded the app, I was given three credits to use. Fine, I thought, I’ll see what it costs to get more afterwards. But there’s no way to buy or earn credits — at least not that I can find anywhere on the app or online. I don’t even see a way to purchase a subscription separate from a cable account, which is absurd for those of us living where broadcast is hard to get. If I want to watch something from a broadcast channel (which is supposed to be freely accessible over the airwaves), then why can’t I use the app instead?! It’s not like the app doesn’t have commercials, so this makes no sense. If they’re not going to even give me a way to literally give them my money, then I guess I’ll just start watching shows on other networks.
