Horrible
by hadkekdk on 2020/05/28 08:53
This app is ridiculously basic. Do not use if you are at all interested in learning music
It’s a scam
by S.C.Hunter on 2020/05/25 09:14
Wow, this is the first time I fell for an actual scam app that pretends to be much more than I claims to be. There is nothing interactive about this up. Stay far away.
Waste of money
by jimmyjamesjoebobe on 2020/05/24 01:31
$4.99 for a few crappy, generic backing tracks. Total waste of money. Should have known better.
A little bummed out!!!
by MiahG11 on 2020/05/14 18:22
I’m a little bummed that this only has two scales. The pentatonic scale is usually the first scale you learn do that’s one I don’t need to practice. I really should have read more about this app before I spent $5 bucks. Hopefully they add some more scales. Then I would change my rating.
Awful awful awful!
by Domenioski on 2020/05/06 22:38
Wish I didn’t have to give 1 star. 5 tracks that are so basic, that there’s no dynamics or feel to the rhythm switches. Almost as if you weren’t paying attention, you wouldn’t know what part the rhythm was on. It’s really just bad. No tweeting or anything. Just choose from the 5 lame tracks, then choose a key. That’s it. Sad I paid $5 for this. Wouldn’t download it if it was free. The backing tracks in my head are much better. This is a cash grab. The description is VERY misleading. This app has NO “training” or “scale practice” or anything at all. It’s simple 5 backing tracks, NOTHING else. All these great reviews have to be from the developer. No way people are raving about this app. Shameful to lie and false advertise.
Fun app to jam with!
by jjim007 on 2020/05/05 14:46
This is a fun app! Connect to my blue tooth speaker and away I go! Only wish you could speed up or slow down the track. Other than that it’s fun!

I’ve been using this application to practice blues violin. I would like to be able to adjust tempo but other then that it’s been a great learning tool.
Nice idea but need to improve
by Perry morton on 2020/04/21 17:32
Nice general idea and execution. But for what I’ve seen for the moment you can find better tracks on YouTube for free. Need to improve.
I love it!
by 4everock on 2020/04/19 00:49
I only wish I could set BPM
Great to jam with!!!

by Mr. Bruneaux on 2020/04/15 19:28
Great app. I don’t know why I waited so long. Best $4.99 I’ve spent in a long time. Thank you
Great App
by Celtic-one1 on 2020/03/30 23:11
This really helps me solo and keeps me in my lane. I’ve played a long time but always struggle with timing. Plus, I can fiddle on this for hours and not get bored.
No tempo adjustment
by 7upIsLove on 2020/03/20 06:58
$5 and I can’t even adjust the tempo? Thanks, I’ll stick to the gazillion free versions and YouTube videos - what a stupid oversight and waste of my money.
Love the site for years
by Revagee on 2020/03/02 03:05
I have been playing guitar for 5 years a buddy and teacher recommended this site to me I got it a few years ago and did not understand how to play with it but liked listening to it now I understand and play with it and it’s a treat. I’m an ordained minister and play rythem guitar with the praise and worship team and have been working on chords now I’m breaking out with solos ( by my self) and enjoy this. You will too

Absolutely Love It!
by macronerd on 2020/01/08 17:26
I have been using Jam Tracks for a few years. I would like to say I use more often than I don’t, but sadly I am not that dedicated. But, when I do use it, I absolutely love it. Keep up the good work!
Lots of fun

Jamming!!!!
by Epiphone1956 on 2019/12/30 04:04
This app has to be looked at for what it is in reality, a simple and uncluttered way to practice scales, improvs and, anything else you truly desire it to be. I have seen negative comments about this app and, in actuality, I do believe such is unwarranted. But, people are free to express their opinion, and some will 'gripe ' about anything. I am satisfied with what I have received for the price I have paid. Please add more to this app, developers, and I will continue to support this, as I take my guitar chops up a notch as I continue to utilize this app in my practice sessions. Thank you Ninebuzz !!!!

Do not buy!
Right on the money
by EyebeeII on 2019/12/06 22:24
Tracks are solid, tight, and authentic. Tasteful and well executed, simple and clear interface, in-app purchases are worth the price but not necessary for a great experience. Great job.
Waste of money.
by Wackylander on 2019/11/10 02:21
Underwhelmed. Can't believe I paid $4.99 for this.
Love the tracks!!!!! They keep repeating so you don’t need to stop...luv the notes on the neck too.

A Must Have
by JD from South Florida on 2019/06/09 11:43
Choose a key, work a chord progression, and apply a functional solo...a no brainer for those who want to progress in proper theory and also sound right. Great app!
No need to plan a jam
by Ikeisaaic on 2019/05/20 20:23
Perfect application to rekindle the love of music. No need to plan a jam, the jam is on demand in the phone or device around. Would love to have a different time signature besides common time. No other jam app has them. Just for us advanced guitarist.

Great tool for beginners and aspiring guitarist!
Not worth it - even if it were free
by oq172 on 2019/04/16 14:11
I feel like I was taken . There is no flexibility in this app whatsoever. Can’t change the chord progression and the scales are fixed too . If it were free I’d still Be disappointed .
Awsome App
by Nystic on 2019/04/14 13:44
Great backing track for practicing scales & solos! I love the way you can change keys quickly to practice different CAGED pentatonic scale patterns in rhe same position.
Great app
by Pete49 on 2019/03/29 12:10
Does what it’s supposed to do. Very easy to use. Quick and easy.
Worth the price, needs more variety.
by Eric the Brave Clasher on 2019/03/28 04:13
Love it, I just want more styles/variations and a tempo slider.

by rfd549 on 2019/03/17 16:37
Very limited, there are many more free on your computer instead of paying for 4 or 5 and then they want to pay for more again free on computer don’t waste time with this
Fantastic!
by Spacegumbo on 2019/02/28 02:26
I love all the different rhythms that you can noodle to. I especially like how all the different positions are shown as well. This app is simple and straight to the point without too many bells and whistles. Who needs bells and whistles when you just want to play guitar? This app gets you from stop to playing as quickly as possible.
So fun!
by DBTpractitioner on 2019/02/14 21:56
Super fun to play with. I’m a beginner but my teacher showed me this app and it’s helping a ton with my fingering and picking. I definitely needed him to explain it to me. Would probably have been hard to figure out without that as I have zero music theory.
Five stars
by Indianajoe65 on 2018/12/25 13:56
Really like the diagrams. I can now easily picture the scales and see how they move around with different keys.
Too expensive in the long run
by P-Tam on 2018/12/10 05:03
I am a full time music teacher and was looking for an easy and affordable app for my guitar students to jam along with. For the $4.99 asking price you get pentatonic and blues scales only. Very few styles or backgrounds (blues, jazz ,country) come with the app. All other scales and styles must be purchased. And you cannot control the tempo. Save your money and get iRealB instead. It comes with many styles. You can control the tempo and loop sections as well. On the web forum there are thousands of FREE songs to play along to or you can actually input your own songs/chord changes. It’s cost is much more up front but the content and flexibility are well worth it.

Great App for Guitar!

Worthless app
by 1965martin on 2018/09/30 13:30
I find this app literally useless
Eh waste of time
by BigBadPlom on 2018/09/28 05:56
Guitarists: do not download this; there are 5 backing tracks. You have have to pay for any more. Waste of $5x
Give back my money zzzz

Useless nothing in this app liessss f!!!!
Good quality tracks, but tuning is off
by Round Robin on 2018/07/30 20:10
The tracks are good quality, and I’ve been pleased with the variety of the IAPs I’ve bought. However for some reason the tracks are out of tune enough to be distracting so I’ve been trying to find another backing track player I like as much, but haven’t. So I’m hoping that this bug can be fixed or perhaps an option can be added for fine tuning in addition to just changing the key. (Tuning issue happens on both my iPhone and my iPad. Other backing track apps don’t share this issue, so I don’t suspect my hardware)
Fun

Fun to learn and play with
This is for the beginner
by timisme on 2018/01/07 01:03
I am disappointed in this app. I am an intermediate guitar player. There are only 5 modes all pentatonic and no others. There are only 5 grooves to play along with organized by basic style of music. It’s very basic. I should have researched more fully I was done with this app in 3 minutes.
Must have

Crappie Backing tracks!!
by 1Bama Fan on 2017/11/23 01:26
The Backing tract selection is terrible i feel. Im just going to use the scales to practice as i enjoy the different selections they offer. I’ll use some other form of Backing track as these get on my nerves!!.
Great app but big time battery drainer...
by Lushdig on 2017/10/31 23:50
Been using app for almost a year. Used it last night, charged phone up overnight as usual, was down to less than 50% by 10am. Checked battery usage, this app was at the top of usage list even though it hadn’t been opened since last night. Doing something in background. Fix this and you have 5 stars.
Won me over
by fanschop on 2017/10/14 18:58
I did not like this app at first - thought to myself how on earth am I supposed to practice scales using this? Came back to it after a month and I love it - makes practicing so much easier as the background tunes are not horrible. It's all driven by you though as there are no lessons or challenges to follow, just background tracks and five scales for every key and it's up to you to practice and improvise on each. Makes it very easy though!
Great practice tool
by Beast Fiend on 2017/09/25 22:40
Been playing chunky rhythms in punk bands for 20 years. Finally decided to learn scales. Been using this everyday for a month and making huge strides. My band mates are shocked. The backing tracks are pretty corny but it's still great practice.
It's fine
by big sohcahtoa on 2017/09/17 15:47
What id really like is to slow down the track. Maybe two speeds, 80bpm, 100bpm; something like that. Id also like to see a different progression. It all comes down to options and this app just doesn't have a lot of options. It is fine, but certainly not great.
Great for practice
by TNTMAN on 2017/09/01 23:59
Just great for practicing scales and chords play along
Doesnt work with irig
by Arcjim on 2017/08/27 23:44
I'll change my review if i can get it to work. But, I can't make it work with my irig. The backing track goes through the amp and sounds fine, but guitar doesn't come through. I didn't really want to travel around with an additional sound system
Buy this, scam job pushing u toward next and next and next purchase
by Njjjja on 2017/08/26 04:34
Subject says it all. Keep on paying for programs you're given no reason info about, but "trust us, at some point you may find something tangentially close to what you want to learn." Horrible app!!
Great app
by Toottoot2 on 2017/07/30 05:00
I play this religiously and study with it
Fantastic tool
by RetroSparqi on 2017/07/21 11:40
I learned a lot from this, and all it really took was a repeating backing track and some diagrams. Astonished at how effective of a learning tool this can be if used with diligence and some extra reading. Heck, it's a pretty good toy as well, if that's all you want.
Five stars!
by LesPaul 1955 on 2017/07/09 15:25
I'm old - 61 - been playing forever, a strummer, G-D-A all night long. Always wanted to be able to play leads. I have a pretty good ear, wanted to know how to play a lead in a given key. I get together a couple of times a year to play with friends. I took lessons for one year about 2 years ago, didn't learn much. Then I found this app. I know it's trite to say it took my playing to a whole new level but it's true. In 40+ years of playing, this is the single biggest difference-maker in my playing. I got together with my buddies in March to jam and on every song, I'd hit the foot switch on my Marshall and play a lead on my Les Paul. They really were astonished. They kept laughing & giving me crap - "Who ARE you??" They just couldn't believe it. I ended every song by shouting, "Jam Tracks - $4.99!" 😀 Everyone learns differently, I get that. I call this the chimpanzee method - big dots to show you where to put your fingers. It's so simple. Now I hear a song I like, I just slide up the low E string til I hear the root note & go from there. It has boosted my playing enjoyment by 10,000%. I friggin love this app.
Very basic
by hex omega on 2017/07/06 22:28
Would be much improved if it had a simple tempo slider bar. Seems like an easy program to write. As is, the app user has zero control over tempos. Additionally, the base app is pretty bare bones. Many of the 'additional charges' should be included in the base price. Not a great value. They have my money but I'm going to have to keep looking for what I need.
Awesome at what it does!
by Ninja Pajamas on 2017/06/25 06:27
Buuuut, I second the people who say it needs a variable tempo feature and inclusion of a few sub categories. So, five stars at what it does, three stars for content. Average of four. Still, very nice work, team!
Needs More Songs for the Price
by Jolly Roger 1 on 2017/06/25 04:18
I like that you can play all tracks in different keys, but there aren't many songs for variety. Sure there are in-app purchases, but they only come with another song or two. I feel there should be more songs for each purchase.
A Must Have
by Stratguy67 on 2017/06/21 05:41
This is a very good, useful, and functional app for musicians at every level. I have recommended it to players I help out on guitar and it's working for them as well. If you don't get anything you can use when you open this app, please don't blame the app.

Buzz nine practice jam app
by Hlestringm on 2017/04/05 14:48
This product works well, does a good job, and was very reasonably priced. It allows multiple forms of jamming out a fingertip action I enjoy it and recommend it to my guitar playing friends.
Great App
by Mgman60 on 2017/04/03 01:09
Love this app. I got the package deal and would love to see other scales such as the Bebop and Harmonic added. Any chance of these additions in the near future?

well worth the money
by Gorbellied on 2017/03/08 22:14
This has been a really fun way to learn scales. It's easy to pick up at odd times during the day, and rewards sustained practice too. For the price you can hardly go wrong.
Helped me so much
by Ampedtonight on 2017/02/24 15:24
While knowing the scales I was always playing up n down and across the neck after becoming really versed in this I got this app to see how I could improvise along with a backing track and after messing around with this I can really go to town and most importantly change any key I wish... I was thought mostly in "A" minor so getting comfortable with other keys took a bit but I can say I really enjoyed this app but the modal buddy was what I was really going after. Now I change from major to minor AND MODES with real thought and melody. It helped me get rid of note for note playing in scales if you want to play stop wasting time with YouTube and pay some cash and go to the next level even if you are not ready this is something you own and keep going back to it and over time this big block becomes small and you start to use it every day
Best for intermediate players to build your chops.
by _Rock-N-Doc_ on 2017/02/21 01:53
Great jams to practice major, minor, and mixed pentatonic licks. Good for trying variations on a theme and see how well they work in major and minor keys. Intermediate players with working knowledge of above will likely benefit the most from this app.
Almost nailed it.
by R.S. Jr on 2017/02/13 05:38
Key being ALMOST! I really liked this app as I was getting into improvising a lot of blues. Super useful for that purpose. But a couple things would make this an easy 5 stars.... First, needs to have a variable tempo feature. When learning new stuff it's super beneficial to be able to start slow and speed up as you improve. This app has songs at different tempos but if you want to play a medium tempo Texas blues jam you are out of luck. It's either really fast or really slow. Most of the "styles" are set up the same. Also the are no flats or sharps in regards to key selection. Not that big of a deal but wanted to mention it. I still like the app and recommend for those just looking to practice lead but give me tempo control and I would LOVE this app. Heck I would pay for that feature. As is I'm still on the hunt for the "perfect app".
Very fun.
by Sequoia Durham on 2017/01/30 20:16

Kills battery
by Ian casen on 2017/01/06 22:06
App seems good for rock and blues practice. After I launched the app once I noticed my batter died very fast. I went to the batter settings, and discovered that after a single use, and one day in the background, Jam Tracks represented 46% of total battery usage for the last 7 days. No idea what the app is doing, but I hope it is a serious bug rather than nefarious background snooping.
Excellent to practice!!

Just a really great app for moderate players!! I bought all the tracks! It was well worth the money! And this is my first review I have ever done on the net! I'm not getting paid for this review! It's just an awesome app that will help beginners and people who have played for awhile! Buy all the other attached tracks and you will not be disappointed!!!🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻😎😎😎
Very flawed

It's perplexing how this app has so many positive reviews. The jam tracks are sloppy and out of tune and the app doesn't come with the ability to monitor a DI electric guitar. Was expecting so much more for my $4.99. Will try to get a refund. Buyer beware.
Spice for practice
by ole mannnn on 2016/09/09 03:34
Enjoy using this and their drum app to spice up practice sessions. Hope they will expand the number of tracks available on this one as you run thru the options pretty quick. That said, like the fact that it lists the chords and scales that match the backing track. This is a great start which I hope they will build upon!

Great App for learning scales

My guitar playing has improved 100% since I got this app. I have so much fun with it I don't want to go to work. I just want to jam all day with Jam Tracks

This app is great for practicing improvisation over a bunch of genres, and so much fun.
Ok if it's all you got.

Initially thought this would be a super app. For me I was disappointed. Three stellar additions would be to allow users to 1) change the tempo 2) be able to add the desired chords of the key being played and 3) in the order the user wanted. Otherwise, for me this is a mediocre app that has super potential if the creators wanted to take it up the ladder.

Five stars!
by LesPaul 1955 on 2017/07/09 15:25
I'm old - 61 - been playing forever, a strummer, G-D-A all night long.
So much less than it should be
by Nickeled-and-dimed on 2015/06/24 01:03
Update: I found the app this should be and it's iReal Pro. It has the features I wanted. A little clunky and more expensive but not the disappointment this was. I got this app hoping it would help me practice improvising over jazz chord progressions. I found it to be of little value because: * For jazz, there is only one jam track (yes the description says this, but it's still not enough) * When the track plays, it doesn't show you where you what chord is currently being played * The scale presented for jazz is the pentatonic scale, which is a simple scale for the blues, not a common jazz scale to my mind * There are no additional jazz tracks available for add-on purchase * The scale modulations provided include only A-B-D-D-E-F-G. What about B flat, which with its two flats is more common than B with its five sharps? E flat? Etc. * When I talked with Ninebuzz about the limitations, they expressed the opinion that my expectations are not appropriate given how the application is described. They have no plans to improve the application that were related to me. With some simple changes like the inclusion of just a few more tracks, more representative scales, and a highlight of the current chord during playback, this would be a valuable app. Currently, I find it not to be worth having and it seems Ninebuzz is unlikely to improve it.
Jam Tracks Handy and with Edge
by PetuniaNoir on 2015/10/03 04:28
What I most like about the Jam Tracks suite is not only the handiness, go-anywhere on your iPhone aspect but the fact that the pre-recorded practice-along music is actually really good. Unlike the muddied, watered down drum mixes you hear in current pop, rock and on many instructional CDs the pre-recorded drums of Jam Tracks actually have energy, you can hear the individual pieces of the kit, the ride cymbal has a nice ping that cuts through and the snare sound has that snap/pop sound that really propels your rehearsing along. I recommend for anyone who wants to improve their playing.
Room for improvement
by jh17 on 2015/06/24 20:09
A helpful app to be sure. Not really for beginners, but if you're just getting your bearings with scales/improvising this can be a valuable tool. That said, there's definite room for improvement. My first recommendation to the developers is to allow users to change the tempo of the backing tracks. As both a programmer and a recording engineer, I'd argue that it wouldn't be that difficult to implement an update that would make this a possibility. Another recommendation I have would be to enable users to design their own chord progressions. This might take some time for the developers, but I think it would really increase the value of the app. Perhaps this could be an add-on feature that would cost another few dollars. At the very least, users should be able to loop segments of the existing chord progressions, which in some cases may be too long for some players to follow right away. It would be helpful to be able to practice the sections of longer progressions one at a time.
What I've always needed!
by Elkmo on 2015/03/19 22:39
I've never been more satisfied with an instructional app. It's simple, approachable interface makes interacting to learn more simple and fun. Most apps require the user spend more time learning to use the app than doing what they're designed to do- somehow Ninebuzz developers have bypassed this typical issue. I've never made more progress learning my scales, and playing leads as quickly; or withas much fun as I have with this simple. Approachable app. If I had to make any requests; I would dearly love to see a gypsy jazz module, Mali blues, and world/obscure scales.
Jamming!!!!
by Epiphone1956 on 2019/12/30 04:04
This app has to be looked at for what it is in reality, a simple and uncluttered way to practice scales, improvs and, anything else you truly desire it to be.
Great practice tool
by Sniper9908618293 on 2015/05/26 16:53
This is a nice app. Nice enough for me to write my very first review ever. The sound quality is good and you have the different scale shapes and chords available in front of you as you play. It's convenient to have the ability to change keys and major/minor on the fly. I just wish it had more styles per genre of music not just the major and minor it comes with. Maybe even add a way to change tempo. Overall, nice, and full of potential
Won me over
by fanschop on 2017/10/14 18:58
I did not like this app at first - thought to myself how on earth am I supposed to practice scales using this? Came back to it after a month and I love it - makes practicing so much easier as the background tunes are not horrible. It's all driven by you though as there are no lessons or challenges to follow, just background tracks and five scales for every key and it's up to you to practice and improvise on each. Makes it very easy though!
You will too
Very fun!
by Wilberjhead on 2016/05/14 17:09
If your stuck in the "Key of E" Rut. This app lets you noodle around until you find the notes that go with the other keys.(for those of us who were too lazy to learn theory) "Hendrix didn't read music" that's true but after 20+ years of playing in the dark, I see now that I've missed out on so much because I didn't take the time. If your just starting out take it from me, it's worth the time to learn. Great app!

Fantastic!
by Spacegumbo on 2019/02/28 02:26
I love all the different rhythms that you can noodle to. I especially like how all the different positions are shown as well. This app is simple and straight to the point without too many bells and whistles. Who needs bells and whistles when you just want to play guitar? This app gets you from stop to playing as quickly as possible.
Greatest Guitar Practice App. Period.
by Johnnyholyoke on 2016/01/12 11:53
Excellent tool for beginners and intermediate players to get back to basics and play along with different tracks nicely laid out to the song key of your choosing. Great for serious or casual practice that will improve general playing skills. I use it all the time and it surpasses most other music apps as far as guitar practice is concerned.

by T-bone0811 on 2015/03/13 15:57
I'm new to lead guitar. Very new. Played rhythm forever and I love that I can customize my tracks and take it anywhere I go and play behind the cover tracks. Great app. Most of these guitar apps all do the same (limited) thing. This one doesn't. Very simple to use and I can play through my amp
Great app
by WarAngel78 on 2016/09/19 18:58
Just a really great app for moderate players!!
Well worth the money
by Strumgeezer on 2015/10/20 23:48
I began playing again about a year ago after a long break (45 years). This is an app that makes it a lot of fun to practice pentatonic patterns that allows more creativity than playing along with recordings. Very intuitive.
A Must Have
by Stratguy67 on 2017/06/21 05:41
This is a very good, useful, and functional app for musicians at every level. I have recommended it to players I help out on guitar and it's working for them as well. If you don't get anything you can use when you open this app, please don't blame the app.
Like the App:
by JeanLuc II on 2016/01/02 20:57
Makes scales fun. Handy for practice anywhere and working on new riffs. Of all the music apps I've collected over the years I keep coming back to this simple little tool. I definitely would recommend. I do wish they'd add a few more tracks.
Great App
by BobC24 on 2015/10/25 18:35
The app is really a straight forward way of learning the scales and the chords associated with each. I am following the guidance to learn each scale in all positions before moving on and it really seems to be coming together for me. I'd like to see more rhythms and genres in the accompanying chords.
Not for REAL beginners
by Beatr!xk1ddo on 2015/04/16 05:52
I think this is probably a great app for someone that already has knowledge playing but if u are JUST starting out, this app won't really help u..u really need to have previous knowledge with the chords and how to read the diagrams otherwise it's just confusing..I think if there were video clips of the tracks being played it would go a long way to being helpful to a true beginner
Guitar Jam is Fun
by TheEngineerHasLanded on 2015/11/07 05:34
I like this app a lot. It is worth the money. It simply helps you to improvise better. Even if you start out slow, you sound pretty good. It will naturally help you to use the entire neck of your guitar. Customer support was friendly and helpful too.
A lot of constructive fun
by Mykala101 on 2015/04/07 22:58
This is a lot of fun! Once you learn the scales, you can improvise to your heart's content. I hope they add more backing tracks in the future. Also, it would be awesome if they added 1/2 step pitches since some people tune 1/2 step down.
Very basic
by hex omega on 2017/07/06 22:28
Would be much improved if it had a simple tempo slider bar. Seems like an easy program to write. As is, the app user has zero control over tempos. Additionally, the base app is pretty bare bones. Many of the 'additional charges' should be included in the base price. Not a great value. They have my money but I'm going to have to keep looking for what I need.
So fun!
by DBTpractitioner on 2019/02/14 21:56
Super fun to play with. I’m a beginner but my teacher showed me this app and it’s helping a ton with my fingering and picking. I definitely needed him to explain it to me. Would probably have been hard to figure out without that as I have zero music theory.
Very cool and tons of fun!
by MrPopoki on 2015/05/09 18:06
What a great way to learn - and practice - scales and improv on the guitar! No, it won't take the place of working with other musicians, but for just working on training your ears and fingers it is easy and fun. Haven't picked up any additional styles yet but the ones that come built-in are still pretty awesome.
Must Have
by Paulusatp on 2015/04/14 02:41
This app will break the boring pentatonic scale playing. It explains the modes in a way nobody ever has been able to explain. My playing is improving (I have been playing for over 30 years).
I Really Love This!
by IdahoGrayWolf on 2015/11/08 05:45
I love this App! No complaints! I wanted to learn my scales and this helps me do that. If you like really complicated controls and something difficult to use, this is not the app for you! Thank you for making practice fun!
Absolutely Love It!

I have been using Jam Tracks for a few years. I would like to say I use more often than I don’t, but sadly I am not that dedicated. But, when I do use it, I absolutely love it. Keep up the good work!
Love it!
by arthriticGANGSTA on 2015/11/26 06:20
I've been using it constantly for about a year and it's helped my soloing tremendously. It's easy to use and fun. You can switch keys and go from major to minor within each! A terrific app!
Must buy
by premy1 on 2015/02/07 21:42
Stop wondering. Get it. It's worth every penny. Great for people who want to learn scales, and how to incorporate them in to music. It's all in your pocket so you can take it anywhere. I've used it almost everyday since I got it!!
well worth the money
by Gorbellied on 2017/03/08 22:14
This has been a really fun way to learn scales. It's easy to pick up at odd times during the day, and rewards sustained practice too. For the price you can hardly go wrong.
It's fine
by big sohcahtoa on 2017/09/17 15:47
What id really like is to slow down the track. Maybe two speeds, 80bpm, 100bpm; something like that. Id also like to see a different progression. It all comes down to options and this app just doesn't have a lot of options. It is fine, but certainly not great.
Ok if it's all you got.

Been playing chunky rhythms in punk bands for 20 years. Finally decided to learn scales. Been using this everyday for a month and making huge strides. My band mates are shocked. The backing tracks are pretty corny but it's still great practice.
Incomplete app frustrating to use!
by whataguybri on 2015/01/25 16:57
Did not do my homework and made a mistaken impulse buy on this app... No directions how to use it well... The "contact "us button does not go anywhere and the APP just stumbles with out help... Not just a waste that does not have to be but if they supported you it might be a good device but without getting info it's sure to end up in the trash or worse...un-used in your device.
Great practice or warm-up tool.
by runyanjd on 2015/11/15 22:53
This is a great tool for any guitarist tool box. Whether learning chords, styles or riffs this app offers a straight forward, consistent & uncluttered background track to practice over. Blue tooth to speakers for more volume.

Guitar jam tracks - scale Trainer & Practice buddy
Description
Learn guitar scales FAST with the #1 practice buddy and scale trainer on the App Store, Guitar jam tracks by Ninebuzz. But that’s not all. It can also help you jam, improve your rhythm, and get comfortable performing with other musicians. Fun! WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING “This app is amazing! Horrible

You will too

by Epiphone1956 on 2019/12/30 04:04
This app has to be looked at for what it is in reality, a simple and uncluttered way to practice scales, improvs and, anything else you truly desire it to be.

Not worth it - even if it were free
by oq172 on 2019/04/16 14:11
I feel like I was taken . There is no flexibility in this app whatsoever. Can’t change the chord progression and the scales are fixed too . If it were free I’d still Be disappointed .
Awsome App

Fantastic!
by Spacegumbo on 2019/02/28 02:26
I love all the different rhythms that you can noodle to.

I am disappointed in this app. I am an intermediate guitar player. There are only 5 modes all pentatonic and no others. There are only 5 grooves to play along with organized by basic style of music. It’s very basic. I should have researched more fully I was done with this app in 3 minutes.

Crappie Backing tracks!!
by 1Bama Fan on 2017/11/23 01:26

Great app

This is a very good, useful, and functional app for musicians at every level. I have recommended it to players I help out on guitar and it's working for them as well. If you don't get anything you can use when you open this app, please don't blame the app.

Very fun.

Very flawed
by sgtpep01 on 2016/09/16 05:24
It's perplexing how this app has so many positive reviews.

This app is great for practicing improvisation over a bunch of genres, and so much fun.
Ok if it's all you got.
by JeffreyBikes on 2016/06/28 21:42
Initially thought this would be a super app. For me I was disappointed. Three stellar additions would be to allow users to 1) change the tempo 2) be able to add the desired chords of the key being played and 3) in the order the user wanted. Otherwise, for me this is a mediocre app that has super potential if the creators wanted to take it up the ladder.
Awesome

Perfect solo jam buddy!
Love this app

So useful and versatile to increase skill with soloing and scales.
Five stars!
by LesPaul 1955 on 2017/07/09 15:25
I'm old - 61 - been playing forever, a strummer, G-D-A all night long.
Won me over
by fanschop on 2017/10/14 18:58
I did not like this app at first - thought to myself how on earth am I supposed to practice scales using this? Came back to it after a month and I love it - makes practicing so much easier as the background tunes are not horrible. It's all driven by you though as there are no lessons or challenges to follow, just background tracks and five scales for every key and it's up to you to practice and improvise on each. Makes it very easy though!
You will too
Very fun!
by Wilberjhead on 2016/05/14 17:09
If your stuck in the "Key of E" Rut. Great app!
The best app out there for scales!
by MusicmanJoe10 on 2016/03/09 06:23
This app is amazing! I'm now knee deep in scales practice and this makes learning scales and scale patterns so much more fun. I'm an intermediate player that has always gotten by with just "winging it" on solos and learning scales....this app has improved my playing and the motivation to practice each day. You won't be disappointed as the price is less than another book of scales and theory.
Fantastic!
by Spacegumbo on 2019/02/28 02:26
I love all the different rhythms that you can noodle to. I especially like how all the different positions are shown as well. This app is simple and straight to the point without too many bells and whistles. Who needs bells and whistles when you just want to play guitar? This app gets you from stop to playing as quickly as possible.
Gr8app for beginner lead Gs
by T-bone0811 on 2015/03/13 15:57
I'm new to lead guitar. Very new. Played rhythm forever and I love that I can customize my tracks and take it anywhere I go and play behind the cover tracks. Great app. Most of these guitar apps all do the same (limited) thing. This one doesn't. Very simple to use and I can play through my amp
Great app
by WarAngel78 on 2016/09/19 18:58
Just a really great app for moderate players!!
Well worth the money
by Strumgeezer on 2015/10/20 23:48
I began playing again about a year ago after a long break (45 years). This is an app that makes it a lot of fun to practice pentatonic patterns that allows more creativity than playing along with recordings. Very intuitive.
A Must Have
by Stratguy67 on 2017/06/21 05:41
This is a very good, useful, and functional app for musicians at every level.
Must Have
by Paulusatp on 2015/04/14 02:41
This app will break the boring pentatonic scale playing. It explains the modes in a way nobody ever has been able to explain. My playing is improving (I have been playing for over 30 years).
I Really Love This!
by IdahoGrayWolf on 2015/11/08 05:45
I love this App! No complaints! I wanted to learn my scales and this helps me do that. If you like really complicated controls and something difficult to use, this is not the app for you! Thank you for making practice fun!
Absolutely Love It!
by macronerd on 2020/01/08 17:26
I have been using Jam Tracks for a few years. I would like to say I use more often than I don’t, but sadly I am not that dedicated. But, when I do use it, I absolutely love it. Keep up the good work!
Love it!
by arthriticGANGSTA on 2015/11/26 06:20
I've been using it constantly for about a year and it's helped my soloing tremendously.
Ok if it's all you got.
by JeffreyBikes on 2016/06/28 21:42

Great practice tool
by Beast Fiend on 2017/09/25 22:40
Been playing chunky rhythms in punk bands for 20 years. Finally decided to learn scales. Been using this everyday for a month and making huge strides. My band mates are shocked. The backing tracks are pretty corny but it's still great practice.
Buzz nine practice jam app
by Hlestringm on 2017/04/05 14:48
This product works well, does a good job, and was very reasonably priced. It allows multiple forms of jamming out a fingertip action I enjoy it and recommend it to my guitar playing friends.
Background
by Ninjadaddie12 on 2016/08/29 01:40
When playing through positive grid, get a lot of background noise from the it playing through my effects. Sounds good while playing, but if you stop lots of feed back in song. Over all cool program
