I checked the flight information at 1am before my 8am flight and it showed a 100 minute delay. I refreshed and the the delay went away. Google confirmed there was no delay. The morning of, we actually had a 100 minute delay and had no indication from the app of Iberia that there was a delay. Not happy :(

Unbelievable how screwed up Iberia reservation is. Took 2 1/2 hours to speak to an agent. I paid for seats and then didn’t get them Iberia.com is an absolute nightmare. Consistently crashes. The “ help” site doesn’t exist. The is no online customer service…. And I haven’t even gotten to the airport Never ever again will I use Iberia

After missing our flights on the 15th due to having to return home to pick up a Covid vaccination certificate, The Chicago Iberia staff was nice enough to put us on the next flights out. But they went ahead and marked our whole itinerary that was originally purchased as a no-show and now we are stuck in Spain and we do not have return tickets!!!! I have tried to call the one 800 number for days and I get absolutely no answer it just rings and hangs up on me after 20 minutes of being on hold!!! They do not even offer a online or application chat option!! so here I am stuck in Spain having to re-purchase return tickets home!!!! They have now scammed me out of almost $5000!! Never will I fly Iberia again!!! How can your company put me on the next flight out but not even acknowledge my return flight tickets!!!!

Pasé semana y media tratando de comprar business. Sus empleados que atienden llamadas de Costa Rica de mi secretaria sugirieron esperar a apertura de check in. Hoy estuve todo el dia tratando por teléfono. Imposible! Hasta que mi secretaria llamo y le contestaron que ya no había clase ejecutiva. Demasiado mal servicio.

I used the app to book and manage my flight, very friendly BUT here is the catch!. I bought premium economy all the trips. The app would show me my correct selections. But then Iberia sent me email confirmation of my payment, and it showed that Only the way to madrid was premium, but I still had 2 bags in hold (as per premium price). 5 min later I received the tickets on a different email saying that not only I was traveling on economy but that o had ZERO bags in hold. I spent hours on the phone, they would not correct the glitch or refund me, and told me that the APP WAS WRONG. The app showed me I was traveling premium round trip (for which I paid for) but Iberia’s customer service said i was the one who made the mistake.

Can’t do anything in the app… I can’t check in…I get an error. So I had to go online to check in. Once checked in, I can’t add the boarding pass to my wallet…get an error for that. Even looking up my flight gives me and error. Worthless app.

For spain’s biggest airline it should have a better app. I am very disappointed that the add to Apple wallet feature does not work often. Changing seats is nearly impossible, and it fails and closes down often

They create sometimes 3 different record locators (depending on codeshares etc) something no other airline does. And no one knows which is the “real” one. Then passport and contact info has to be repeatedly entered, and then it blanks out some of the fields when you try to proceed to the next step. And there is no app support, and the airline call center is no help.

I work in the customer service industry and understand there are rules to be followed while on the job. However, my experience with Iberia was absolutely appalling. First of all, everything was booked with American Airlines, so having then to switch to Iberia is confusing. The airlines (though the same company) have no communication with one another. My flight returning to the US was from Lisbon, with a layover in Madrid, to Miami. We were already in Madrid and to just cut out the first leg of travel was an extra $375 for no reason whatsoever and never was given a clear answer as to why that was. When I tried to check in online for my flight, I was not able to through American or through Iberia. Iberia was telling me to fill in data that was optional and that didn’t apply to me and would not let me check in without it. Finally upon arriving at the airport, the self check in system did not allow me to check in either. I got in line and waited while I watched problem after problem with different customers. Finally when I was at the front I was talked to extremely rude, and when I was trying to explain my frustrations with checking in and not being able to select seats, the woman working lied to my face saying the flight was full and that I would have to pay 75€ to change my seat from Madrid to Miami. She did not help me, she did not even try. Later when waiting to board I went online for the second leg (MAD-MIA) and was able to select my seat for that flight for 33€. I still should not have had to pay as my boyfriend didn’t have to (for the seat next to me) and he was able to check in online. All in all bad experience and hope to not fly with Iberia in the future. This was at the Lisbon airport.

Iberia has cancelled my flights and rebooked me on an impossible alternative. They list a telephone number in the UK on the app but never answer and disconnect you.

Worst app! Tried for hours to check in, information kept being incorrect, unable to enter country of destination, etc. Managing your reservation should be done within minutes, this app makes it stressful. It’s useless.

I have been trying for 6 weeks to get a booking, get a solid answer on Covid test requirement for entering the USA. CDC and Embassy, even Iberia say Antigen test is all you need to enter USA. Not one person working with Iberia can tell me they know this. They push PCR only. Next I Filled in my wife’s information using Iberia app, in English. First Name, Middle and Last name. During check in the app will not let her check in say she must has two last names. Perez Vargas. I changed it over and over, it saved but still cannot check in. Next I am a US citizen married for 30y to Nuria Perez Vargas, per USA Travel.gov, Madrid Embassy’s, she has a valid current Visa, but Iberia ants an ESTS. I have tried so many time to call, use the app, use .com site, and cannot get it to work. Even went to the airport counter and the lady was no help. Now will have to cancel again. This app speaks about Iberia's administration and their processes. Pretty bad user experience (I even had to fake my child's name and say that he was traveling with his mum instead of me because both names together exceed 35 characters). The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is because it's still much better than their website, where it was just impossible to buy the tickets because of multiple bugs. Add to that this is a company that behaves every day more like a low cost airline except in the ticket prices. Sadly, it's the only option that many of us have to get a direct flight to Spain

If I could give negative stars I would. You literally can do NOTHING with this app! Push notifications? Nope Change seats? Nope Pre-order meals? Nope The list goes on. I shouldn’t be surprised because their website is also the worst I’ve experienced. They’re owned by the same company that owns British Airways so why can’t you improve to the their level?

During check in, if you click back, you cannot go back on screen, instead you have to start from the beginning. Very old school thinking. In addition, when paying for an extra bag and entering my cc info, I had entered everything but realized I chose MasterCard instead on visa. When I changed it to visa it deleted everything and I had to start all over again. Whoever designed this app does not travel nor do they use the app themselves. Iberia needs to make it more user friendly when correcting errors.

Una estrella porque no hay opción para darle ninguna. Traté de registrarme a través de la App pero no funciona. Entonces me registré por la Web de Iberia. Recibí el número asignado por email. Cuando trato de acceder con el número de Iberia plus recibido o con la dirección de email usando el password recién creado, te sale un mensaje indicando que la combinación usada es inválida. Usas la opción para dar reset al Password y tampoco funciona ni por la App ni por la Web. ¡Que desastre de App y que falta de respeto a los clientes!¡

My ticket was sold by American Airlines but operated by Iberia. I tried to check-in using the Iberia App but it did not accept the country that issue my passport: USA. In spite that this was my returning fly, I couldn’t check-in 24 hours before. I truly believe that they do that to charge for the seat assignment. I couldn’t check in until I did it in person in the airport

I’m not sure if the fault lies with the airline or the app; I couldn’t add any boarding passes to my Apple Wallet if the flight was operated by Iberia. Customer service was helpful, but I had to know what I wanted and push against their reps’ directives and assumptions. Their site was down for several hours. I’ll avoid flying with them in the future if I can.

Iberia is never on time, I’ve had my plane canceled and delayed twice already. The people I’ve come across at multiple airports have been nothing but rude. Pay more money and try a different airline this is ridiculous. I’m tired of having my flights canceled because of other people. I would give zero stars but I can’t.

Iberia provided the worst customer service I have ever experienced with an airline company. The website did not function properly to change seats and add baggage and we had to call a representative by phone. The representative was not helpful and in fact gave us misleading information. The app for Iberia was only slightly more helpful than the website and allowed us to complete our checkin process where the representative on the phone could not.

This app is clunky. Examples: It did not “finish” my checkin. I finally figured out that I had not indicated what kind of card I was using. When I corrected it, it erased all the information. I had to start over. It tells me my Iberia profile is incomplete because I have not entered a province. But the only provinces it provides are in Spain.

Literally the worst airline app I’ve used. Doesn’t find reservation automatically, I get errors trying to change my seat, no boarding pass for my mobile is available - it’s really incredible how bad this is. Flight is booked through BA but it’s operated by Iberia - no info seems to flow. I have an AA flight for the return leg and I can already pick my seats and boarding pass will be ready 24 hrs before the flight on my mobile. This is basic stuff guys, you should be embarrassed for running your company like this. Will avoid Iberia at all costs for the foreseeable future.

No entiendo como Iberia puede tener una aplicación tan tan tan mala. Es súper simple, no te deja hacer nada. Algunos de los mil problemas que me da: -a veces no me deja poner mi fecha De nacimiento al comprar un vuelo. Me da error y no me deja continuar. -no me deja poner opciones en mis preguntas de seguridad. -el mapa para elegir asiento no funciona a veces y no me aparece. -una vez hecho el checkin, no hay forma de ver la tarjeta de embarque de manera Instantánea, hah que ir por todo el proceso de facturación. Simplemente indignante!

This app is near useless and without hesitation as about as bad as it gets. Won’t let you check in due to an error for missing information although every field is completed. Also no place in the app for assistance. Even hotel staff I spoke with regarding checking in with Iberia and can quote them as saying worst app and website as well. Many customers with complaints and issues.

THE WORST airline app I’ve ever used. The description says it is compatible with Apple Wallet, however, there is no way to add the boarding pass to the Wallet, nor does the app itself have a boarding pass, only a pdf via email or other stand-alone file. There are plenty of other gripes I have with it, but obviously Iberia doesn’t care, since the above (and the others) are long-term issues, so I’m not going to waste my time. Apple should really get on their case for it being so shoddy.

I spent a long time trying to check in via the web page and the app, getting generic error messages and then getting error “select country of origin” even if it is chosen correct it still failed. I literally had to ask a friend to use their android version and through some small miracle, it allowed me to check in. But of course not choose seats, because why would it work? Ever at all? I will now pay double with other airliners to not have to deal with Iberia app, website, or extremely unhelpful customer service people.

My OneWorld Emerald status isn’t recognized by the app though it’s in my profile. It will not give me a boarding pass with my status and so my boarding group is now group 3. This is not reflective of an app that works well for extensive travel

My experience with Iberia to date has been a nightmare and I haven’t even taken the flight yet. Absolutely unacceptable website and terrible app. Both have caused much frustration and confusion! I had to resort to calling customer support which a few times sounded like I was calling another planet where I could barely hear and understand what they were saying. I also missed by Business Class flight because flights on their ALLIANCE PARTNER-American Aurlines-were late due to air traffic and they changed me an additional $1,500.00 on top of what I paid to rebook. At that point I had no choice because I was stranded at JFK. One would think that being ALLIANCE PARTNER would have some advantages, but no. The customer support person would not budge or make any exceptions. Clearly they saw an opportunity to make more money so they took advantage of it. I hope my flight experience and return trip can make up for this frustrating experience. If I had to decide now-I would NEVER book through Iberia and I will put my sentiments on blast. As a company they need to get their act together if they want to compete with and compare to other respectable airlines.

I had to purchase the seats 3 times, 2 prior to my trip, and one more today that I wanted to change seats, the app did not give the chance to get the prior assigned tickets, I had to pay for the 3rd time. Before the flight, weeks before my flight I received an email that I had to make changes on one of the flights, because “one sector of the flight was cancelled”. I made the changes. One day before the flight another email came in saying that I had another confirmation number. I showed up at the counter and I was bumped from business to economy. I was offered a monetary compensation, but I paid business for a reason. In flight, 2 of the flight cure were completely rude, that God I feel asleep for most of the trip. This experience was given me a bad taste of Iberia.

This is yet another crappy app from an international airline. Please for the love of god sign up for Delta and copy what they did. It’s really not that hard to know what you should be doing. People who rated this a 5 must fly almost exclusively on Spirit Airlines.

It’s difficult to believe that I’ve spent over four hours attempting to pay for a checked bag, and still not knowing whether I’ve paid for it. If this is the type of service l can expect for the rest of my dealings with your airline, It’s impossible for me to believe that the flight is going to be run with any competent abilities perhaps I should purchase a lot of life insurance you’re not leaving me with a very good feeling of traveling with you folks

After missing our flights on the 15th due to having to return home to pick up a Covid vaccination certificate, The Chicago Iberia staff was nice enough to put us on the next flights out. But they went ahead and marked our whole itinerary that was originally purchased as a no-show and now we are stuck in Spain and we do not have return tickets!!!! I have tried to call the one 800 number for days and I get absolutely no answer it just rings and hangs up on me after 20 minutes of being on hold!!! They do not even offer a online or application chat option!! so here I am stuck in Spain having to re-purchase return tickets home!!!! They have now scammed me out of almost $5000!! Never will I fly Iberia again!!! How can your company put me on the next flight out but not even acknowledge my return flight tickets!!!!

After trying to check in over 10 times online for this flight, I called customer service for help as I was told when I booked my flight I would be able to pick my seat when I checked in 24 hours in advance of flight. The first representative I got was David. He told me that the reason I was having trouble was because I was using my iPhone and Mac (Chrome and Safari) and that your check in process is not supported by those browsers!! WHAT?!? Wasn’t told that anywhere!!! When he said He could not help me with my seat, I asked to speak to a manager. That’s where it got WORSE! I got Michelle who told me I WAS checked in (how the hell did that happen?!) but that I had to ‘go to the airport to get a seat because I was already checked in?!! I told her over 10 times I live in Cleveland and would not be able to get help there. She could not understand that I am on a separate itinerary to JFK from my home. She was cold, uninformed, and kept repeating for me to go to the airport, which makes NO sense. So, your check in process online and on the app is miserable and now I am going to have to wait to get a seat I was guaranteed to pick when I checked in. Can you help before I board? I used the app to book and manage my flight, very friendly BUT here is the catch!. I bought premium economy all the trips. The app would show me my correct selections. But then Iberia sent me email confirmation of my payment, and it showed that Only the way to madrid was premium, but I still had 2 bags in hold (as per premium price). 5 min later I received the tickets on a different email saying that not only I was traveling on economy but that o had ZERO bags in hold. I spent hours on the phone, they would not correct the glitch or refund me, and told me that the APP WAS WRONG. The app showed me I was traveling premium round trip (for which I paid for) but Iberia’s customer service said i was the one who made the mistake.

This app speaks about Iberia's administration and their processes. Pretty bad user experience (I even had to fake my child's name and say that he was traveling with his mum instead of me because both names together exceed 35 characters). The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is because it's still much better than their website, where it was just impossible to buy the tickets because of multiple bugs. Add to that this is a company that behaves every day more like a low cost airline except in the ticket prices. Sadly, it's the only option that many of us have to get a direct flight to Spain

There is always an issue. The latest, it only provides your boarding pass in a PFD format to print. No in-app boarding pass or wallet. But this is not a temporary glitch, there has been something wrong since this app was created. I flight with Iberia several times a year and this App NEVER worked well in any trip. If you are lucky and went well once, just wait for the return flight and something will go wrong. However I have to say that the website also fails all the time, so maybe this is not a problem of the developers of the app, but just the ones at the server side.
Website doesn’t function well and received poor customer service by phone.

Iberia provided the worst customer service I have ever experienced with an airline company. The website did not function properly to change seats and add baggage and we had to call a representative by phone. The representative was not helpful and in fact gave us misleading information. The app for Iberia was only slightly more helpful than the website and allowed us to complete our checkin process where the representative on the phone could not.

During check in, if you click back, you cannot go back on screen, instead you have to start from the beginning. Very old school thinking. In addition, when paying for an extra bag and entering my cc info, I had entered everything but realized I chose MasterCard instead on visa. When I changed it to visa it deleted everything and I had to start all over again. Whoever designed this app does not travel nor do they use the app themselves. Iberia needs to make it more user friendly when correcting errors.

THE WORST airline app I’ve ever used. The description says it is compatible with Apple Wallet, however, there is no way to add the boarding pass to the Wallet, nor does the app itself have a boarding pass, only a pdf via email or other stand-alone file. There are plenty of other gripes I have with it, but obviously Iberia doesn’t care, since the above (and the others) are long-term issues, so I’m not going to waste my time. Apple should really get on their case for it being so shoddy.

Also no place in the app for assistance. Even hotel staff I spoke with regarding checking in with Iberia and can quote them as saying worst app and website as well. I have been loyal to OneWorld for over 15 years. I am Emerald and my membership card is from American Airlines. I use Concur and AmEx Global Business Travel/Amadeus to book my flights. Every other airline app picks up my loyalty number as entered in those systems. NOT ONLY DOES IBERIA NOT upload or totally ignore my loyalty card in my bookings, but in addition they have DESIGNED AN APP THAT ONLY ALLOWS TO ENTER AN IBERIA LOYALTY CARD NUMBER. What is the point of having an alliance if you discriminate against your alliance partners’ members?

They create sometimes 3 different record locators (depending on codeshares etc) something no other airline does. And no one knows which is the “real” one. Then passport and contact info has to be repeatedly entered, and then it blanks out some of the fields when you try to proceed to the next step. And there is no app support, and the airline call center is no help.

Iberia is never on time, I’ve had my plane canceled and delayed twice already. The people I’ve come across at multiple airports have been nothing but rude. My ticket was sold by American Airlines but operated by Iberia. I tried to check-in using the Iberia App but it did not accept the country that issue my passport: USA. In spite that this was my returning fly, I couldn’t check-in 24 hours before. I truly believe that they do that to charge for the seat assignment. I couldn’t check in until I did it in person in the airport

I’m not sure if the fault lies with the airline or the app; I couldn’t add any boarding passes to my Apple Wallet if the flight was operated by Iberia. Customer service was helpful, but I had to know what I wanted and push against their reps’ directives and assumptions. Their site was down for several hours. I’ll avoid flying with them in the future if I can.

Literally the worst airline app I’ve used. Doesn’t find reservation automatically, I get errors trying to change my seat, no boarding pass for my mobile is available - it’s really incredible how bad this is. Flight is booked through BA but it’s operated by Iberia - no info seems to flow. I have an AA flight for the return leg and I can already pick my seats and boarding pass will be ready 24 hrs before the flight on my mobile. This is basic stuff guys, you should be embarrassed for running your company like this. Will avoid Iberia at all costs for the foreseeable future.

I checked the flight information at 1am before my 8am flight and it showed a 100 minute delay. I refreshed and the the delay went away. Google confirmed there was no delay. The morning of, we actually had a 100 minute delay and had no indication from the app of Iberia that there was a delay. Not happy :(

Unbelievable how screwed up Iberia reservation is. Took 2 1/2 hours to speak to an agent. I paid for seats and then didn’t get them Iberia.com is an absolute nightmare. Consistently crashes. I work in the customer service industry and understand there are rules to be followed while on the job. However, my experience with Iberia was absolutely appalling. First of all, everything was booked with American Airlines, so having then to switch to Iberia is confusing. The airlines (though the same company) have no communication with one another. My flight returning to the US was from Lisbon, with a layover in Madrid, to Miami. We were already in Madrid and to just cut out the first leg of travel was an extra $375 for no reason whatsoever and never was given a clear answer as to why that was. When I tried to check in online for my flight, I was not able to through American or through Iberia. Iberia was telling me to fill in data that was optional and that didn’t apply to me and would not let me check in without it. Finally upon arriving at the airport, the self check in system did not allow me to check in either. I got in line and waited while I watched problem after problem with different customers. Finally when I was at the front I was talked to extremely rude, and when I was trying to explain my frustrations with checking in and not being able to select seats, the woman working lied to my face saying the flight was full and that I would have to pay 75€ to change my seat from Madrid to Miami. She did not help me, she did not even try. Later when waiting to board I went online for the second leg (MAD-MIA) and was able to select my seat for that flight for 33€. I still should not have had to pay as my boyfriend didn’t have to (for the seat next to me) and he was able to check in online. All in all bad experience and hope to not fly with Iberia in the future. This was at the Lisbon airport.

I have been trying for 6 weeks to get a booking, get a solid answer on Covid test requirement for entering the USA. CDC and Embassy, even Iberia say Antigen test is all you need to enter USA. Not one person working with Iberia can tell me they know this. They push PCR only. Next I Filled in my wife’s information using Iberia app, in English. First Name, Middle and Last name. During check in the app will not let her check in say she must has two last names. Perez Vargas. I changed it over and over, it saved but still cannot check in. Next I am a US citizen married for 30y to Nuria Perez Vargas, per USA Travel.gov, Madrid Embassy’s, she has a valid current Visa, but Iberia ants an ESTS. I have tried so many time to call, use the app, use .com site, and cannot get it to work. Even went to the airport counter and the lady was no help. Now will have to cancel again. This app speaks about Iberia's administration and their processes. Pretty bad user experience (I even had to fake my child's name and say that he was traveling with his mum instead of me because both names together exceed 35 characters). The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is because it's still much better than their website, where it was just impossible to buy the tickets because of multiple bugs. Add to that this is a company that behaves every day more like a low cost airline except in the ticket prices. Sadly, it's the only option that many of us have to get a direct flight to Spain

During check in, if you click back, you cannot go back on screen, instead you have to start from the beginning. Very old school thinking. In addition, when paying for an extra bag and entering my cc info, I had entered everything but realized I chose MasterCard instead on visa. When I changed it to visa it deleted everything and I had to start all over again. Whoever designed this app does not travel nor do they use the app themselves. Iberia needs to make it more user friendly when correcting errors.

Una estrella porque no hay opción para darle ninguna. Traté de registrarme a través de la App pero no funciona. Entonces me registré por la Web de Iberia. Recibí el número asignado por email. Cuando trato de acceder con el número de Iberia plus recibido o con la dirección de email usando el password recién creado, te sale un mensaje indicando que la combinación usada es inválida. Usas la opción para dar reset al Password y tampoco funciona ni por la App ni por la Web. ¡Que desastre de App y que falta de respeto a los clientes!¡

My ticket was sold by American Airlines but operated by Iberia. I tried to check-in using the Iberia App but it did not accept the country that issue my passport: USA. In spite that this was my returning fly, I couldn’t check-in 24 hours before. I truly believe that they do that to charge for the seat assignment. I’m not sure if the fault lies with the airline or the app; I couldn’t add any boarding passes to my Apple Wallet if the flight was operated by Iberia. Customer service was helpful, but I had to know what I wanted and push against their reps’ directives and assumptions. Their site was down for several hours. I’ll avoid flying with them in the future if I can.

Iberia is never on time, I’ve had my plane canceled and delayed twice already. The people I’ve come across at multiple airports have been nothing but rude. Pay more money and try a different airline this is ridiculous. I’m tired of having my flights canceled because of other people. I would give zero stars but I can’t.

Iberia provided the worst customer service I have ever experienced with an airline company. The website did not function properly to change seats and add baggage and we had to call a representative by phone. The representative was not helpful and in fact gave us misleading information. The app for Iberia was only slightly more helpful than the website and allowed us to complete our checkin process where the representative on the phone could not.

This app is clunky. Examples: It did not “finish” my checkin. I finally figured out that I had not indicated what kind of card I was using. When I corrected it, it erased all the information. I had to start over. It tells me my Iberia profile is incomplete because I have not entered a province. But the only provinces it provides are in Spain.

Literally the worst airline app I’ve used. Doesn’t find reservation automatically, I get errors trying to change my seat, no boarding pass for my mobile is available - it’s really incredible how bad this is. Flight is booked through BA but it’s operated by Iberia - no info seems to flow. I have an AA flight for the return leg and I can already pick my seats and boarding pass will be ready 24 hrs before the flight on my mobile. This is basic stuff guys, you should be embarrassed for running your company like this. Will avoid Iberia at all costs for the foreseeable future.

No entiendo como Iberia puede tener una aplicación tan tan tan mala. Es súper simple, no te deja hacer nada. Algunos de los mil problemas que me da: -a veces no me deja poner mi fecha De nacimiento al comprar un vuelo. Me da error y no me deja continuar. -no me deja poner opciones en mis preguntas de seguridad. -el mapa para elegir asiento no funciona a veces y no me aparece. -una vez hecho el checkin, no hay forma de ver la tarjeta de embarque de manera Instantánea, hah que ir por todo el proceso de facturación. Simplemente indignante!

THE WORST airline app I’ve ever used. The description says it is compatible with Apple Wallet, however, there is no way to add the boarding pass to the Wallet, nor does the app itself have a boarding pass, only a pdf via email or other stand-alone file. There are plenty of other gripes I have with it, but obviously Iberia doesn’t care, since the above (and the others) are long-term issues, so I’m not going to waste my time. Apple should really get on their case for it being so shoddy.

I spent a long time trying to check in via the web page and the app, getting generic error messages and then getting error “select country of origin” even if it is chosen correct it still failed. I literally had to ask a friend to use their android version and through some small miracle, it allowed me to check in. But of course not choose seats, because why would it work? Ever at all? I will now pay double with other airliners to not have to deal with Iberia app, website, or extremely unhelpful customer service people.

My experience with Iberia to date has been a nightmare and I haven’t even taken the flight yet. Absolutely unacceptable website and terrible app. Both have caused much frustration and confusion! I had to resort to calling customer support which a few times sounded like I was calling another planet where I could barely hear and understand what they were saying. I also missed by Business Class flight because flights on their ALLIANCE PARTNER-American Aurlines-were late due to air traffic and they changed me an additional $1,500.00 on top of what I paid to rebook. At that point I had no choice because I was stranded at JFK. One would think that being ALLIANCE PARTNER would have some advantages, but no. The customer support person would not budge or make any exceptions. Clearly they saw an opportunity to make more money so they took advantage of it. I hope my flight experience and return trip can make up for this frustrating experience. If I had to decide now-I would NEVER book through Iberia and I will put my sentiments on blast. As a company they need to get their act together if they want to compete with and compare to other respectable airlines.

I had to purchase the seats 3 times, 2 prior to my trip, and one more today that I wanted to change seats, the app did not give the chance to get the prior assigned tickets, I had to pay for the 3rd time. Before the flight, weeks before my flight I received an email that I had to make changes on one of the flights, because “one sector of the flight was cancelled”. I made the changes. One day before the flight another email came in saying that I had another confirmation number. I showed up at the counter and I was bumped from business to economy. I was offered a monetary compensation, but I paid business for a reason. In flight, 2 of the flight cure were completely rude, that God I feel asleep for most of the trip. This experience was given me a bad taste of Iberia.

After missing our flights on the 15th due to having to return home to pick up a Covid vaccination certificate, The Chicago Iberia staff was nice enough to put us on the next flights out. But they went ahead and marked our whole itinerary that was originally purchased as a no-show and now we are stuck in Spain and we do not have return tickets!!!! I have tried to call the one 800 number for days and I get absolutely no answer it just rings and hangs up on me after 20 minutes of being on hold!!! They do not even offer a online or application chat option!! so here I am stuck in Spain having to re-purchase return tickets home!!!! They have now scammed me out of almost $5000!! Never will I fly Iberia again!!! How can your company put me on the next flight out but not even acknowledge my return flight tickets!!!!

After trying to check in over 10 times online for this flight, I called customer service for help as I was told when I booked my flight I would be able to pick my seat when I checked in 24 hours in advance of flight. The first representative I got was David. He told me that the reason I was having trouble was because I was using my iPhone and Mac (Chrome and Safari) and that your check in process is not supported by those browsers!! WHAT?!? Wasn’t told that anywhere!!! When he said He could not help me with my seat, I asked to speak to a manager. That’s where it got WORSE! I got Michelle who told me I WAS checked in (how the hell did that happen?!) but that I had to ‘go to the airport to get a seat because I was already checked in?!! I told her over 10 times I live in Cleveland and would not be able to get help there. She could not understand that I am on a separate itinerary to JFK from my home. She was cold, uninformed, and kept repeating for me to go to the airport, which makes NO sense. So, your check in process online and on the app is miserable and now I am going to have to wait to get a seat I was guaranteed to pick when I checked in. Can you help before I board? I used the app to book and manage my flight, very friendly BUT here is the catch!. I bought premium economy all the trips. The app would show me my correct selections. But then Iberia sent me email confirmation of my payment, and it showed that Only the way to madrid was premium, but I still had 2 bags in hold (as per premium price). 5 min later I received the tickets on a different email saying that not only I was traveling on economy but that o had ZERO bags in hold. I spent hours on the phone, they would not correct the glitch or refund me, and told me that the APP WAS WRONG. The app showed me I was traveling premium round trip (for which I paid for) but Iberia’s customer service said i was the one who made the mistake.

There is always an issue. The latest, it only provides your boarding pass in a PFD format to print. No in-app boarding pass or wallet. But this is not a temporary glitch, there has been something wrong since this app was created. I flight with Iberia several times a year and this App NEVER worked well in any trip. If you are lucky and went well once, just wait for the return flight and something will go wrong. However I have to say that the website also fails all the time, so maybe this is not a problem of the developers of the app, but just the ones at the server side.

During check in, if you click back, you cannot go back on screen, instead you have to start from the beginning. Very old school thinking. In addition, when paying for an extra bag and entering my cc info, I had entered everything but realized I chose MasterCard instead on visa. When I changed it to visa it deleted everything and I had to start all over again. Whoever designed this app does not travel nor do they use the app themselves. Iberia needs to make it more user friendly when correcting errors.

I had to purchase the seats 3 times, 2 prior to my trip, and one more today that I wanted to change seats, the app did not give the chance to get the prior assigned tickets, I had to pay for the 3rd time. Before the flight, weeks before my flight I received an email that I had to make changes on one of the flights, because “one sector of the flight was cancelled”. I made the changes. One day before the flight another email came in saying that I had another confirmation number. I showed up at the counter and I was bumped from business to economy. I was offered a monetary compensation, but I paid business for a reason. In flight, 2 of the flight cure were completely rude, that God I feel asleep for most of the trip. This experience was given me a bad taste of Iberia.

THE WORST airline app I’ve ever used. The description says it is compatible with Apple Wallet, however, there is no way to add the boarding pass to the Wallet, nor does the app itself have a boarding pass, only a pdf via email or other stand-alone file. There are plenty of other gripes I have with it, but obviously Iberia doesn’t care, since the above (and the others) are long-term issues, so I’m not going to waste my time. Apple should really get on their case for it being so shoddy.

Most complicated website which is changed automatically to Spanish language and since then I can’t change it to English. My password for some reason not matching and I tried to change and it asks me my passport number , secret question etc.. seriously? I’m not caring my passport all the time with me.. tried to check the deals they have - couldn’t understand nothing. So F it, tired of trying. Gotta choose another company

This app is near useless and without hesitation as about as bad as it gets. Won’t let you check in due to an error for missing information although every field is completed. Also no place in the app for assistance. Even hotel staff I spoke with regarding checking in with Iberia and can quote them as saying worst app and website as well. Many customers with complaints and issues.

I have been loyal to OneWorld for over 15 years. I am Emerald and my membership card is from American Airlines. I use Concur and AmEx Global Business Travel/Amadeus to book my flights. Every other airline app picks up my loyalty number as entered in those systems. NOT ONLY DOES IBERIA NOT upload or totally ignore my loyalty card in my bookings, but in addition they have DESIGNED AN APP THAT ONLY ALLOWS TO ENTER AN IBERIA LOYALTY CARD NUMBER. What is the point of having an alliance if you discriminate against your alliance partners’ members?

They create sometimes 3 different record locators (depending on codeshares etc) something no other airline does. And no one knows which is the “real” one. Then passport and contact info has to be repeatedly entered, and then it blanks out some of the fields when you try to proceed to the next step. And there is no app support, and the airline call center is no help.

Iberia is never on time, I’ve had my plane canceled and delayed twice already. The people I’ve come across at multiple airports have been nothing but rude. Pay more money and try a different airline this is ridiculous. I’m tired of having my flights canceled because of other people. I would give zero stars but I can’t.

I’ve been having an error checking in for an hour. First couldn’t get the English site, then it kept saying there was an error. I called and they said it’s because I’m using chrome or safari. What else would I be using??? Their website doesn’t have base level functionality. Ridiculous.

My ticket was sold by American Airlines but operated by Iberia. I tried to check-in using the Iberia App but it did not accept the country that issue my passport: USA. In spite that this was my returning fly, I couldn’t check-in 24 hours before. I truly believe that they do that to charge for the seat assignment. I couldn’t check in until I did it in person in the airport

If I could give negative stars I would. You literally can do NOTHING with this app! Push notifications? Nope Change seats? Nope Pre-order meals? Nope The list goes on. I shouldn’t be surprised because their website is also the worst I’ve experienced. They’re owned by the same company that owns British Airways so why can’t you improve to the their level?

I’m not sure if the fault lies with the airline or the app; I couldn’t add any boarding passes to my Apple Wallet if the flight was operated by Iberia. Customer service was helpful, but I had to know what I wanted and push against their reps’ directives and assumptions. Their site was down for several hours. I’ll avoid flying with them in the future if I can.

Literally the worst airline app I’ve used. Doesn’t find reservation automatically, I get errors trying to change my seat, no boarding pass for my mobile is available - it’s really incredible how bad this is. Flight is booked through BA but it’s operated by Iberia - no info seems to flow. I have an AA flight for the return leg and I can already pick my seats and boarding pass will be ready 24 hrs before the flight on my mobile. This is basic stuff guys, you should be embarrassed for running your company like this. Will avoid Iberia at all costs for the foreseeable future.

App did not display delay

I checked the flight information at 1am before my 8am flight and it showed a 100 minute delay. I refreshed and the the delay went away. Google confirmed there was no delay. The morning of, we actually had a 100 minute delay and had no indication from the app of Iberia that there was a delay. Not happy :(

Took me 2 hours to check-in trying to add and pay for an extra luggage and front row seat. When trying to pay and after entering all the payment info, it gives an error. Tried in the app and on the website. Last time I travel with Iberia. Worst experience EVER, super frustrated

For spain’s biggest airline it should have a better app. I am very disappointed that the add to Apple wallet feature does not work often. Changing seats is nearly impossible, and it fails and closes down often
