Best app for learning songs
by IMac Upstairs on 2019/06/12 15:01
Love this app. I’ve been in a number of bands and appreciate the ability to slow songs down to learn intricate parts, and to change keys. Would love a wider range of key shifts. No longer seems to work in background when I switch to OnSong. Working with onsong would be a huge help. Regardless - best money I’ve ever spent on an app!
Static On IPhone 8 No Solution
by Rarebasses on 2019/02/14 03:43
First let me say I loved the free version of this when it was available and I had it on my earlier iPhone. Second, I love my GK Micro MB-150S amp and all the other GK amps I’ve owned. Okay now my experience with this app. I downloaded it a month ago and right off had loud static and popping sound when trying to use it. I tried both my interfaces, a Asdown MiBass pedal and also a iRig. I tried multiple cords, several different headphones and keep coming up with the same results. I contacted customer support, which were quick to answer, and had only one idea of updating my iOS on my phone which I did, and also deleted and reinstalled the app. But I still have the same problem. I then contacted them again and they were nice but had no solution, and told me to ask Apple for a refund. Which I imagine is near impossible to do. So I guess I’m out another $4.99 for another useless app that doesn’t work or at least work on my iPhone 8. Another part of the app I don’t like is that even if I could get it to work, when I start Planning Center and start my music to rehearse, then go to this app it cuts the music off. There is not a way to access the music from the Planning Center via the GK App. AmpliTube however lets you do all these things. However I prefer the GK tone. Sad that I won’t be able to use it. If you have a iPhone 8 DO NOT BUY THIS APP! You have been warned.
Won’t load on iOS 12

No longer works

Loved using this app but since updating my phone the app doesn't open anymore. Please fix.
Glad it’s back
by Tedtronics on 2018/01/30 04:12
New version for ios11. Works and sounds great as before minus some of the previous bugs. Love this app! Note though that irig or irig hd do not work on an iPhone X with this or any other app. Not a fault of this publisher.
Works well

Still not working with new iOS
Great results with PocketGK and iRiffPort
by HeavyDuty Ken on 2017/11/28 15:16
Updated November 2017: Four years later and PocketGK is still my preferred virtual amp. I use it with both the same iRiffPort as before, but also with an Apogee Jam. The iRiffPort remains my preferred interface, PocketGK is well integrated with this hardware. I was very happy to see the app was updated to iOS 11. I have both newer iPhone and iPad as before, and I was limited to running PocketGK on my old iPad with an out of date iOS. The updated app works great under iOS 11! Thanks for continuing to support your product. Original 2013 review: I'm a bass player that's come fairly late to the whole iOS thing but have now enthusiastically jumped into the world of virtual amps. I've tried several of the apps that are out there but have developed a heavy preference for PocketGK. PocketGK is very well thought out for the average bassist - I'd say it provides about 90% of my dream list for an app. Tone is great, the play along and looper features are useful practice tools and the built-in tuner works well. The only things on my wishlist for PocketGK are a few of the typical effects bassists tend to use - a compressor, fuzz, distortion and possibly chorus would be great to have as in-app purchases. Also, iRiffPort is the way to go for an interface - I tried a few of the audio jack interfaces and was very disappointed on poorly they worked for bass. iRiffPort gives me a great low noise way of accessing PocketGK on my iPhone and iPad. iRiffPort also works well with the new Lightning to 30 pin adapter (my iPad is Lightning equipped.) Hopefully we'll see more interface products from Pocketlabworks - a stompbox interface to give an easy, durable way of jacking PocketGK into a pedaltrain would be great for live performance. Pocketlabworks has a winner here!
Used to be great.....

PocketGK WITH an iriffport
by TuggSpeedman on 2016/05/05 15:24
To all those who want, use and love this this app as I do, I just want to say yes, it's amazing. I did hesitate to upgrade to a new iPhone thinking it wouldn't work anymore. I did it anyway and guess what, the app works perfectly. I took a chance on it because well, I can't say much about recent support from pocketlabworks as the last message I ever received back was in 2013. I sent several emails about my concern with other iOS versions. No responses. Don't care. I'm not a support freak. I try things and figure it out. It works. No bugs. Maybe somewhere in the middle of the iPhone 4,5 iOS changes there were problems but I never switched until now. I have the new iPhone 6s on iOS 9.3.1. It works better on this new iPhone than it did on my old one. If anyone has been wanting to make this move, I have taken care of the guess work for you and this company too, apparently. Use it with confidence. Cheers!
Best bass amp
by gnostic student on 2015/12/05 08:15
This app is old and it's starting to show its age. But in terms of sound quality it still soundly beats amplitude and jamup pro. The app is simple and doesn't have a lot of features but it just nailed the sound. Plug bass in and listen with headphones and it's even better than the real gk rb400 I used to have.
Doesn't work
by Creative Factor on 2015/11/24 22:47
I'm using iOS 9 and not getting any audio from the app. Doesn't seem to be responding at all. Also tried multiple audio interfaces and still doesn't work.
No updates, doesn't work
by D martini on 2015/10/09 13:38
Used to be the best app. Hasn't been an update since iOS 6. Sliders don't work now. Great while it lasted. Sent email about app not working and received a,"yeah, it hasn't worked since iOS 8 upgrade." That was about 6 months ago. So it doesn't sound like they are going to work on a fix.

Was a great app, but doesn't work with ios7. Too bad!
Buggy, but useable
by Road Wally on 2014/12/26 15:30
For someone like me, who wants just to play along on bass with my iTunes music, this is the best app around so far. But it is buggy and the features are not well implemented. For example, it will crash when it hits a song that it doesn't like. This corrupts the database and the program will never run again. You have to delete it entirely and re-install. To access a song you want to play along with, you have to scroll through your entire playlist. No shortcuts. There is no shuffle mode, and often it will skip to another song randomly. It looks like this app hasn't been updated in awhile. Too bad. If the bugs were fixed it would worth five stars.
Apogee Jam sort of works
by tiredOfRebooting on 2014/12/23 04:32
I installed this on my iPad and I couldn’t get it to work. The developer was responsive to my issues, despite an initial automated email saying they were unavailable. According to the developer, Apogee Jam ONLY works with headphones, and not the Apple headphones - they have a mic. Only headphones without a mic. And both the Jam and the headphones must be plugged in before you launch the app. After plugging in appropriate headphones and killing the app, then relaunching, at first I could only get it to work if I ran GarageBand or AmpliTube first. After a reboot it seems I can launch PocketGK first and have success. I haven’t tried all of the features yet, but so far I’m not impressed with the sound. I wish I had spent the money on amp models for AmpliTube instead of this app.
Not working
by Bfulks on 2014/10/10 00:14
The app is working but as soon as I put in my iRiff port and plug it into my bass, the app doesn't work.
Any update for IOS7?
by Bass.worship on 2014/08/10 23:47
Love this app BUT it doesn't seem to want to work with IOS7!! Glad I kept it on my old iPod, an older version but the old version on the iPod still works great. Any updates coming to fix this serious problem?!?!?!?
Love its sound
by Jeff9930 on 2014/07/27 14:05
Really impressed with the tonal quality of this amp model. It has a great round wound sound. I've been trying to get this out of other apps with only some success. It has great fullness and presence. Sound really cuts through. Money very well spent. Using it with Apogee Jam without any issue.
Save your $5
by 124sport on 2014/07/20 03:00
Nowhere near as good as amplitube. I thought I'd give it a try because of some of the reviews. Biggest let down is the music feature...there's no volume adjustment so you cannot turn up the music. LAME!
Pocket GK w/Apogee Jam-Perfecto
by HanginBG on 2014/06/22 15:39
Works perfect and I can jam along with any tune. Works with A-Jam just fine. Wish the app had effects like chorus, flanger, reverb and echo. For $5 I can't really complain. Other than that, great for practice, clean and dirty recording.
Best Practice App
by Ali LeRoi on 2014/01/12 22:02
Good sound, easy connections - the only thing they need to do now is make it easier to import songs and switch between tunes. Kind of clunky process right now.
It was great with iPhone 4
by BrothaLewis on 2013/11/29 04:43
Since I upgraded to the 5s, this don't even work even with the 30 pin adaptor cord!!!
Will not unload since iOS7
by swross on 2013/10/10 13:27
It's simple and worked perfectly until the new operating system.
Good amp. Would be great if it had a metronome.
by 6ertie on 2013/09/13 21:33
Love this bass amp. However, the song trainer looping mechanism is a bit funky (not in a good way). The looper can be better. Please, please, please add a metronome! I have not found any bass amp apps with a metronome.
Great practice tool
by MickRocks on 2013/09/08 03:38
The ability to play along with songs from your iTunes library and the slow-downer feature are worth the price alone. I've been practicing some Stevie Wonder tunes lately and there's no way I could have learned Nate Watts nuances without these features. Wish there were more options on the tones available but these ones suffice.
Great app!
by Tehurst on 2013/07/19 02:06
Bass sounds great. Really like the ability to play along with my iTunes songs. Wish we had a tuner. Overall I am very pleased with this app and highly recommend it.
Makes learning easy
by Tony Sonic on 2013/07/08 06:30
Love this simple app. Using it with an iRig and an Alesis dock. Plug in, choose the set list, play. I've recently started playing bass with a singer songwriter (Wes Speight), and while he is open to interpretation getting the basics down is a heck of a lot easier with my bass mixed right in. I love the loop option as well as the speed option to pick apart those hard to hear parts. I couldn't think of a thing to do to make it better. Once you get past the slight learning curve you'll be playing in your car while someone else is driving. Works great on both my iPad and iPhone. Thanks guys
Needs some work
by Seahorse718 on 2013/07/05 15:08
•Won't play songs when headphones are plugged in or connected to a dock. •Can't actually select a playlist from the "playlist" tab and the only way to get back to app is to do a force quit. •Feedback control dialog box appears even after you click "don't show this message" (minor issue, I know, but it's still annoying).
Wow
by Okemopoma on 2013/06/08 20:29
Man, what a great app. Totally blew away all my expectations. Love the ability to slow down tunes to learn them while still keeping the proper pitch. The little virtual amp sounds pretty amazing. The iRiffPort is a little pricy but you forget what you paid for it pretty fast once you start using it. You could actually use your device as a preamp for a gig with the line out on the iRiffPort and it would sound really good. Better probably than what your using unless maybe you have a GK set up already. The gate valve effect is excellent.
Tremendous app
by patientboy99 on 2013/05/30 04:41
Super sound. I have an '02 J bass, and the tone is excellent. Best part of this app is the song trainer and great support. Anything you need can be accomplished with this thing.

by Firefly Ridge on 2013/03/06 22:58
A terrific little bass amp, with smooth and detailed sound, and is superior to my other device that I use with my Warwick bass to practice. The unit is a bargain, with superior performance. The iRiffport interface works better than any other interface I have used, and I have tried them all. Support is fast and informative. Can't go wrong with this setup.
Nice

It works! Great sound!
A little trouble
by msymms on 2013/02/08 15:25
I am using the JAM interface from Apogee and I had a little trouble getting it to connect to this app. It worked fine with other apps like AmpKit or iStroboSoft tuner. It wouldn't connect at all. Then all of a sudden, after switching back and forth between apps, it started working. It does what it says. Couldn't hear much difference in the cabs. I also would love to be able to use my bluetooth headset for audio out. It sure would cut down on the wires going everywhere.
Quality...
by Robert McVey on 2013/02/05 19:38
Good quality bass sim, but still no Audiobus support. Would be great for the input slot.
This app is awesome
by TImJames4858 on 2013/01/27 23:20
I use this app on my iPad, along with an Alesis I/O Dock, and two Mackie Thump 15's to play live, awesome sound! Also great for practice and learning new songs. Would like to be able to use the two cabs together, otherwise fantastic model of the GK amp sound.
Works great!
by Dillon Partin on 2013/01/08 21:45
Be sure to use a quality interface! I tried iRig and it was not fun. Now I use Jam by Apogee and love. Silent practice and learning songs is easy!
Very good app

Very good app, works very good
Great app for bass players.
by MetalDan75 on 2013/01/03 18:46
I have this app on an iPhone 4S w OS 6.0.1 using the apogee jam and its awesome. The controls are easy to use, the sound is great (using headphones). I like how I can add music from iTunes library on the phone to play along with. It makes practicing easy since you don't have to drag out all the equipment and worry about neighbors complaining. If you're a bass player, you should definitely check out this app!
Decent amp app
by lambasster on 2013/01/02 23:17
Decent sounding with an Apogee Jam interface. Some slight latency but not hindering overall. Some awkward coordination with loading tracks. I prefer using the Amazing Slowdowner app for tracks due to more options like pitch control and saving partial loops. Have to be careful using ear buds with mic because it overrides and goes to mic instead of interface hardware. Still getting used to the app but enjoying it so far.
Buena app

This is a Great App. It's inspired me to play more. Also you MUST get the Iriff Port & the Neo Ear Buds, they make a great Combo. The Neo Ear Buds sound Great with enough Bass Response. Pocket Lab Works is # 1 in the Musical Gadget Department.
Incredible !

The functionality of this app is incredible. This app is truly amazing!
Fabulous !
by Mr. Pluck on 2012/11/15 18:35
There is no App that compares to this ! I have a G.K. 1001RB II, MB800, Neo 410, 212, and 115. I thought my cabinets were light - never thought I could get the G.K. sound in something as light as an ipad. I use it everyday and when gigging, I use it to learn last minute requests during a break. Amazing ! Support for this App is great as well. I recently contacted them and the response and fix to my issue was completed in no time at all. I'm at the point where I really don't think my musical journey would be the same without this App. Funny, but it has actually made me more money because aside from keeping you sharp with it's practice tools, it has allowed me to become a more focused and prepared bass player which keeps my phone ringing !
Love it!!
by absanz on 2012/11/13 23:00
Sounds great with my MTD, and my Apogee Jam!! This app is awesome! I love it
Handy app
by copperheadedjeb on 2012/11/02 21:14
Great bass app. I don't own the iRiffport, I have the iRig, which uses the headphone jack. I have no doubt the sound quality and usability would be improved with the iRiffport and a better set of headphones, but it is quite functional using the iRig and the Apple ear buds. A great way to get my practice in without irritating my wife or waking the baby. A few suggestions...the Trainer is good, letting you create loops, speed up, slow down and vary pitch. I do, however, wish the pitch varying function was both broader in steps and had more steps within the range to choose from. Would be nice to put the songs in whatever key you feel like playing in. Also, DRM does affect use of the Trainer function on some selections. On such songs, you cannot speed up, slow down, loop, vary pitch, which is an annoyance, especially if the recording not in the key you want. The third wish pertains to its access of your music...would be improved if it remembered what playlist you were playing from. It will advance on its own to the next song in the list when the current selection is finished, or you can pick the previous or next on the list with a touch of the screen. However, if you desire to pick another song from the same playlist, you have to go to Music, then choose the source (playlist, artist, song title, etc.)...basically start over in your music selection. All in all, big thumbs up for this app. I play in a band and it allows me to practice by myself, quietly on new songs, brush up on older stuff, and keep me sharp for my band's scheduled practices and shows. It is inexpensive and has some great useful features. Think I will purchase the iRiffport in the near future. It seems a little steep pricewise, but expect it to improve sound quality and let you take advantage of the GK EQ and tone controls. If they were to address some of the suggestions I listed above, I would definitely change my four stars to five.
Finally, A Good App for Bass Players!
by GJBASSIST on 2012/08/19 23:53
Being a big fan of GK gear I had to check out this app. Glad I did! Simple to use and sounds good. Controls are simple and the tone is good. You can pull songs up in your iTunes library and jam along with them, which makes it great for learning new songs. Also great for practicing without disturbing others. The negative reviews regarding the purchase of an expensive cable are not accurate! Yes you do need an interface cable of some kind. However, there are several fairly inexpensive ones that work including the iRig. I bought a used iRig for $13 and it works just fine with this app!
Have to buy expensive cable.
by Rahlo t on 2012/08/13 01:19
They don't make it known that the app is useless without buying an extra cable. Don't know why it can't just output to an amp to play along. Don't bother with this app.
Works well!
by Mon-J on 2012/08/01 02:50
I picked this up to practice with, and it works flawlessly with my Apogee Jam - which, incidentally, works really well with my mac to boot. There's not much in the way of hiss, so if you're used to headphone amps this will be a pleasant surprise. It's not jam-packed with all the latest features, but it's well-thought and does what it does very well. I'd love to see a delay and a distortion effect - I've had no luck overdriving the amp to get more than a modest tweak to my crunchiness.
Game changer
by Lowzdel on 2012/05/17 04:49
Between this app and the riff port, this has totally changed the way I practice and learn new songs. Works great on both iPhone and iPad.

1.14 Update

This new version has the welcome background playing. A few other apps in this category lower the volume of the background channel upon switching, this one seems to keep the level up.
Best by Far
by Christopher Fordyce on 2012/04/15 03:24
This is quite possibly the best Bass Amp simulator in the iOS market. Little to no latency. The Bass sounds like A BASS. Doesn't distort. If you buy this and you get distortion its because your headphones aren't made for the low frequencies of the electric bass. I highly recommend this app to any bass player in need of a decent practice simulator.
Great bass sound
by Músico on 2012/03/30 15:58
This app bass sound is great, it is also simple and useful for jamming with your favorite music, just pick any song you like from your iTunes library and go. Now I wonder how can I use it for recording my bass into GarageBand or any other recording software? Please make it happen!
Perfect
by ausfwerks on 2012/03/27 01:03
MM StingRay - ApogeeJam - iPad w/p GK - Sennheisers and it's like Flea is in my living room. I don't know what the price complaints are about, the cheapest GK I have is 8 bills and that is 'just an amp' too. Best five bucks I've spent to practice anywhere, anytime and have the same brutally clear sound.
Great tool
by Chunky45 on 2012/03/23 03:05
I play bass in a group that features an eclectic mix of tunes most of which can be found as recordings online. Being able to load a new tune into my iPad, connect my bass via the iRiffPort and start working out the new bass parts is the most fun I've had for years! The unexpected benefits surprised me. I loved the idea that by using earphones, I could play anywhere in the house at any time and not bother anyone. I am blown away with the clarity of the track and the bass. I can hear each and both much more clearly than when I'm rattling the windows. Much easier to pick out chords and bass lines. The ability to loop and slow down the track is easy to use and very useful. I've been at this since the 60's and I must say this set up has got me building callouses on top of the callouses. I can't put it down. My earphones are noise canceling and I haven't tried any others but the sound of my PBass and the quality of the tracks seems to be studio quality. I had a technical problem when I first hooked things up and was very impressed by the assistance I received from Pocketlabworks. The problem was not with the new gear but with the iPad owner that didn't know there was a volume button on the iPad. I hadn't used my iPad for anything audio so my learning curve started right at the bottom! I'm thinking a lot of players are going to end up lovin this little set up!
Good but needs more work
by Chagalogga on 2012/03/19 02:06
Tone and amp controls are great but the app is buggy as hell. Annoying problems like playlist feature not working, presets not saving...please work on the user experience and make some of the controls more intuitive. Took me awhile to find the pitch/playback controls.

Playlist doesn't work
by Goodski77 on 2012/02/15 04:15
This revision was supposed to fix the broken playlist problem, but it doesn't make any difference. Playlists are not supported, nor is random play for album artist, within playlist, etc.
Update is much appreciated!

Awesome to have the playlists now! Sooo much easier to stay in a group rather than having to go to the list. Thanks!

Great app overall but hard to get a good tone.
by rgriffith2466 on 2012/01/16 21:50
This is a great little app overall, provided you are willing to live with some shortcomings in the bass tone. I love the fact that you can use it inline with your music library which was exactly what I was looking for. The issue with not being able to use it for a single playlist is a valid point that I wish they would fix as this would improve this app greatly. The biggest thing I have trouble with is getting a good sound out of my bass without a lot of hissing in my headphones. The "Gate" setting I thought would curb some of that but the hissing when it is up higher is a little annoying. Maybe this is in combination with my headphones, but I was looking for a bit cleaner sound from the bass for this. I have tried it with other headphones to a pretty mixed bag of sounds but I have to be real careful with the EQ to get the bass not to sound overdriven. When using this compared to the Amplitude (I use an iRig for connectivity) it is a far better practice tool in just the ability to play the songs from the music library alone. Amplitude misses the mark on this completely by having to import songs as WAVs. Really want to give this app five stars but I can only give 4 because of the tone of the bass.
Great App

This is a very nice sounding low latency (imperceptible) bass rig emulator. I've used it with the iRiffport and (despite what the other reviewer said) it can be used with other interfaces such as the iRig. The iRiffport is far superior though as it connects via the dock connector. It's definitely a solid 4 star App, but if it one allows for being used in the background (such as AmpKit's feature) to be used with other Apps, it will be a perfect 5. Nice work.
Best in Class
by Bassarama on 2011/12/31 02:21
The amp - which features slow-downer looping - is fabulous and has worked flawlessly in all situations. The IRiffPort is FAR SUPERIOR and I can't say this emphatically enough - to all competing products. I can replace all sorts of practice equipment - and with a small travel bass- never miss a day of practice on the road. Unsurpassed customer service - seriously. A live English speaking person - Kevin Roberts actually - will be in touch within minutes.
Cool app but...
by MoeTown1986 on 2011/12/26 14:48
It should allow you to use ANY instrument hookup. Not just the iriffport.
Great app for practicing bass
by Eman M3 on 2011/12/11 17:44
I love using the PocketGK to practice songs for my band. I can plug in, cue up a song and jam along with my iPod and get a decent sound out of the PocketGK. I use it all the time when I need to practice semi-silently. The only improvement I would make is to allow a user to play through an entire playlist on their iPod, rather than picking one song at a time and then having to go back in, navigate to a new song etc. If I could play through an entire playlist at once, it would save a lot of time. It's the only thing preventing this app from getting 5 stars in my book. Download this app if you're a bass player. It's very cool.
Nice Punchy tone!!!
by @sariverpa@ on 2011/11/18 23:05
Love the UI, endless tone shaping possibilities, love the boost, really brightens up my slapping and tapping but one of my favorite features is how u can emulate a 4x10 cab for a bright tone, or choose a 1x15 cab for a reggae dub sound! I can't put it down! I'm a faithful Eden user but after using this GK amp, I might consider other possibilities! U guys really hit the spot with this app most music apps focus more on guitar, as a bass player one will realize that using apps made for the guitar really don't cut it! Nothing is the same! Thank u very much for this app, it is Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice work
by mrtorian on 2011/10/18 15:34
Sounds great and is easy to use. Admirable modeling. It does what it's supposed to do, and it does it well. No noticeable latency etc. Nice work. Recommended for bass players. Thanks GK.
Great App With Some Real Substantial Limitations
by kenstee on 2011/09/20 01:49
First off, kudos to Pocketlabworks for producing the first REAL bass-oriented app, Ampkit and AmpliTude have really been deficient in addressing the needs of the bass-playing audience. Their apps are totally guitar-oriented and bass players really get shafted with very few bass amps, etc. So, this app by GK is a god-send. Now the bad, this app is quite limited. Specifically, no effects and no recording capabilities REALLY limit the usefulness of it. I mean, no effects? Nothing? Nada? A lot of us really like using effects and to have no delay, reverb, vibrato, compression, distortion, chorus or anything else is really a travesty. I guess there are a few "purists" who use no effects. But, not to have ANY options is quite bizarre. And, no ability to record really defeats the purpose of such an app on a lot of dimensions. So, there you have it. A potentially great app totally hamstrung by the lack of a feature set commonly found on just about every other app. I can only hope Pocketlabworks will remedy this in short order. I got to believe it is only a short time until the other developers really roll out some dynamite bass products. To stay competitive Pocketlabworks had better step it up and fast……..
Favorite practice tool
by Chizler2071 on 2011/08/26 08:09
Been practicing with ampkit for a while now which lacks solid bass. So this sounds great. Agree about low iTunes volume. Looking forward to updates, maybe a couple effects? Thanks.
Great for bass - worth it!
by LeroyFusionBass on 2011/07/25 02:04
PocketGK sounds great and is easy to use. It immediately recognized my Apogee Jam. No special setup required. The play along feature is super fun. I only wish I could use this bass amp as an input to GarageBand.
PocketGK Rocks
by Glen Smith on 2011/07/05 08:59
This app is a wonderful new tool in any bass players kit. Bright and clean sounding phat bass jumps from the app into any song loaded. You can totally load bands pratice list for shows, set lists or shuffle through your favorite songs and play along. Great app for the price, and even better app for bass lovers!
Finally a virtual amp that sounds good!!
by musicmikey on 2011/06/27 04:09
I own a GK 1001RB and this app sounds JUST like it and even takes an active bass without distortion. It's also very nice to not have to upload songs to play them in the app and it shows lyrics when available. What's not to love well worth $5 buy it now!!!!!!
Not Enough
by Manimal138 on 2011/06/06 02:38
For 4.99 you would expect so much more. At least a tuner. You might as well use your guitar programs, sound the same with more options.
Not bad but ...
by andrel42 on 2011/05/31 19:11
Finally a bass amp for the iPad ! Would be nice to have a volume control for the audio songs and some basic presets. What's the difference between the Lite and the full version?

So far I really like this app... Their are a fee bugs but it's the best app I've found so far for my iPhone 4... When I had a problem their tech was tight there with help... I need to learn a lot of diffrent styles of material fast.. This app helps ... Looking forward to upgrades..
Doesnt work unless...
by Drumsta10 on 2011/04/09 16:27
I don't about other people but for me it doesn't work unless I turn the feedback off..fix please?!?!?!?
It's ok but it lacks a few things
by Ianrc on 2011/04/09 04:12
Being an actual GK player, I was expecting more from the paid version... The difference is that it has an EQ.. The play along feature lacks volume for the music. It needs an input gain option. It works great with my passive Jazz but my Active Jazz V distorts a lot! And has problems with the low B. I would love to see more cabinets and amps 800rb, fusion, 700rb and all the nice cabinets GK has. Can't wait for future update
Excellent bass headphone amp
by Littlejedi03 on 2011/04/02 03:52
The classic GK growl and thunder at a fair price. The EQ is well voiced and versatile and the Play Along feature works great.
Fabulous !
Cheers!
Wow
by Okemopoma on 2013/06/08 20:29
Man, what a great app.
PocketGK
by Firefly Ridge on 2013/03/06 22:58
A terrific little bass amp, with smooth and detailed sound, and is superior to my other device that I use with my Warwick bass to practice. The unit is a bargain, with superior performance. The iRiffport interface works better than any other interface I have used, and I have tried them all. Support is fast and informative. Can't go wrong with this setup.
Best Practice App
by Ali LeRoi on 2014/01/12 22:02
Good sound, easy connections - the only thing they need to do now is make it easier to import songs and switch between tunes. Kind of clunky process right now.
Thanks guys
Glad it’s back

New version for ios11. Works and sounds great as before minus some of the previous bugs. Love this app! Note though that irig or irig hd do not work on an iPhone X with this or any other app. Not a fault of this publisher.
Great app!

Sounds like a bass

Used to be the best app. Hasn't been an update since iOS 6. Sliders don't work now. Great while it lasted. Sent email about app not working and received a,"yeah, it hasn't worked since iOS 8 upgrade." That was about 6 months ago. So it doesn't sound like they are going to work on a fix.

Handy app
by copperheadedjeb on 2012/11/02 21:14
Great bass app.
Love it!!

Great tool
by Chunky45 on 2012/03/23 03:05
I play bass in a group that features an eclectic mix of tunes most of which can be found as recordings online.

Quality...

Update is much appreciated!

by rgriffith2466 on 2012/01/16 21:50
This is a great little app overall, provided you are willing to live with some shortcomings in the bass tone.
Great App
by BB92647 on 2012/01/10 19:08
This is a very nice sounding low latency (imperceptible) bass rig emulator.

Fabulous !
Cheers!
Wow
by Okemopoma on 2013/06/08 20:29
Man, what a great app.
PocketGK
by Firefly Ridge on 2013/03/06 22:58
A terrific little bass amp, with smooth and detailed sound, and is superior to my other device that I use with my Warwick bass to practice. The unit is a bargain, with superior performance. The iRiffport interface works better than any other interface I have used, and I have tried them all. Support is fast and informative. Can't go wrong with this setup.
Best Practice App
by Ali LeRoi on 2014/01/12 22:02
Good sound, easy connections - the only thing they need to do now is make it easier to import songs and switch between tunes. Kind of clunky process right now.
Thanks guys
Glad it’s back

New version for ios11. Works and sounds great as before minus some of the previous bugs. Love this app! Note though that irig or irig hd do not work on an iPhone X with this or any other app. Not a fault of this publisher.
Great app!

Sounds like a bass
by Trurythm on 2013/03/20 23:51

Used to be the best app. Hasn't been an update since iOS 6. Sliders don't work now. Great while it lasted. Sent email about app not working and received a,"yeah, it hasn't worked since iOS 8 upgrade." That was about 6 months ago. So it doesn't sound like they are going to work on a fix.

Love it!!
