Why shared passwords?
by yury nedelin on 2020/08/12 16:25
It’s seems very odd to have shared passwords for this. So if I change the pass I have to notify everyone ? Why not allow everyone have their own account and connect if they want?

We’ve tried dozens? of scheduling family apps, and this is the first to stick for the whole family. Worth the premium features as well.
Big Helper
by Heather Jarrett on 2020/08/10 00:44
Cozi has so many tools to help keep my family organized. Tonight I’m looking at my grocery list. I can pull it up when I’m in the store, add to it wherever I am and my family can add to the list. Just one of the lists built into the Cozi app.
Last update 5mo ago-major bug crashes
by PsychopathChick on 2020/08/09 23:53
Crashes when using listfunction. The household shared grocery list is the only thing I use the app for. Deleted and reinstalled, problem still persists and seeing that the app hasn’t updated in 5mo, I’m guessing it ain’t getting fixed anytime soon. Plenty of other apps that can offer a shared list so gonna try to find one of those
Most useful app ever!!!
by c@nvoluted on 2020/08/06 15:46
I’ve used Cozi for several years now. It’s my recipe collection; my grocery list; my holiday and birthday gift idea list; project lists, to do lists...and so much more. I’ve collected hundreds of recipes and can easily doubled check needed ingredients in the store as well as share recipes with family and friends with a quick text. The calendar keeps the entire family straight as we can easily see what each of us had going on. Early on, I upgraded to the paid version and there’s no going back. The shopping feature is priceless- as you check items off your grocery list, they fall to the bottom, thereby keep your shopping list streamlined and clutter free. I would be lost without Cozi and I recommend it to everyone!
Good but has issues.
by _kevinjm on 2020/08/05 17:06
First of all this is a great app. The features do everything I need. My favorite feature is the shared shopping list which updates live. I live in household with 4 adults, and this feature makes shopping faster and easier as we can cover the entire store in two groups and see the shopping list get checked off live. However, one issue I found was with the recipe section. I recently tried to add a recipe manually and the app started to come to a crawl. Typing on the keyboard was laggy and my phone became hot. I closed the app out completely and restarted the app. This fixed it for a minute, but then the app came to a crawl again. Please fix. This is a great app!
Great app for organizing
by thestevejazz on 2020/08/05 15:19
It’s great for organizing our whole family on one calendar. I wish it was a onetime purchase instead of a yearly subscription for gold. I would happily pay $30 once but not too keen on the yearly subscription.

Assigning category when adding item
by Sofalini123🐶 on 2020/08/02 21:56
Hi when I add an item I would like to assign it a category right then (I already have the category set up) Currently I have to go to my computer select and drag into the category. Very annoying. I wish that I could even right and get an option to place it under a category Otherwise pretty happy. Still learning it, but glad I got it!

Organize the family grocery list
by HateCreatingUsernames on 2020/07/28 13:00
Best thing about this app- anyone with a smartphone can add to the grocery list! No more lists to forget on the fridge. Second best thing- you can make and keep lists for all your desired categories. I have separate lists for Walmart, Lowes, and groceries. I also keep track of kids shoe sizes, measurements of windows, tables, and needed baskets for the home, along with books I might want to read or movies to watch. I have used the free version for years! You can also log in on a desktop, which is handy especially for the recipes and meal planning function. All this functionality and it’s pleasing to look at, even with all the ads in the free version. On Android there are widgets to pin your lists to your home screen, which is awesome as well. I don’t see that function on Apple, but hope it comes to Apple with the new widgets Insee being developed. Overall I’d give more stars if I could!

Good but could use some improvements
by Emmybug179 on 2020/07/21 19:00
The good: - it does what it says. It is a family organizer and allows me to see my husband’s work schedule so that we can coordinate childcare, etc. - it aids in communication. It solves that whole “I didn’t know you had drinks tonight!” The term “it’s in cozy” has replaced “it’s on the calendar.” -it is color coded and has the person’s name underneath to make things clear -the shared to-do list is a game changer - same for the grocery list. Needed improvements: - the default participation for every event is “All [members],” even when you’re in an individual’s calendar. I have to manually unselect All for every event, which is annoying when I’m putting in my work schedule. - it would be very helpful to set up recurring events without needing to add a patterned. Especially for shift workers. For example, i work 6am-6pm but not in a patterned schedule that I could put on repeat. It would be helpful to make a 6am-6pm event or tag that I can apply on the calendar instead of manually setting the time for each shift. It would also be helpful for childcare, for example make an event called “pickup” at 5pm that I can apply to any days I need my husband to do pickup. - I can’t figure out how to view just certain members’ schedules. If I just want to look at my husband’s and my schedules but not my sister’s childcare needs, I can’t.
Should have used this earlier! It’s great
by Freeway99 on 2020/07/21 13:09

CAN’T UNSUBSCRIBE!! Buyer beware!
by Cheezmover on 2020/07/19 21:35
Update 07/19/20-customer service replied to me by email and suggested I cancel through the app but there is no cancel option, only re-subscribe. It appears that if you purchase through the App Store you can never unsubscribe. Goodbye, $20 a year for the rest of your life. They have intentionally removed every possible way of downgrading to free or canceling subscription. I have been all over the app, website and iTunes and nowhere are there instructions how to downgrade or cancel. Only instructions how to delete your account and some fine print that says deleting your account does not cancel your subscription!!??? Stop taking my money!
I’ve been using cosi for years.
by sweetviolet79 on 2020/07/18 13:09
I’m a paid subscriber, and the subscription isn’t cheap...but despite that, I logged in to a great big ad covering half the screen. why am I paying so much, let alone anything at all, if your double dipping for cash? either get your profits through subscription, or go free / reduce the subscription price and collect your revenue through advertising.

We have a family spread across the country and are still able to keep in touch with schedules and events! Shopping lists, dorm supplies, bills, appointments for all members to share. ONLY SUGGESTION: it would be nice to see the date entered on the calendar so my kids won’t sneak things by me the hour before it happens LOL

Cozi - Great Organizer for Families
by Coach V10 on 2020/07/16 14:24
Cozi is a great app to organize activities for families. I pay the extra money to have the upgrade and have 3 reminders. I really like Cozi!
2+
by Angme37 on 2020/07/15 21:54
Not bad but will raise it to 5 stars once I can bring all my calendars over to Cozi. I do like the layout and how everything is. I bought gold thinking that when I sync my google cal or Apple cal it would remind me of my events on my calendar but it does not. I’m not going into every single event I have on Cozi to change it to send me a Notification. It should have this option as a default but it does not. Yes I have it enabled in my settings to receive notifications . I have tested this in your app if you do not put to remind you which again it should be set to do this as default to remind you then it will not remind you at all and then I tested to remind me and it reminded me. No one wants to go into every single event and put send reminder. That’s why it should be set as default so it actually reminds you when you add a calendar to your app. Hopefully it’s something you add soon cause I know myself would love for every time you make an event or move calendars over it puts notifications as a default. Wish I knew it didn’t have this before buying it.

Not impressed...especially for $30
by Wollen_Kitten on 2020/07/11 23:33
This *could* be a good calendar app if you could do everything from the app....but you can’t. You have to use a web browser to sync your calendar and also to add/manage contacts in the address book feature. The calendar only has two views: a rolling month and the agenda. The way the rolling month is set up, it’s hard to see where the current day is and any events scheduled for that day don’t show the colors for whose event it is. You can double tap to zoom in on that day, but you lose the ability to see where in the week/month you are. I have to assume that the app is the afterthought here, when in all actuality the app should be more prominent than the website. People always have their phone on them, but don’t always have their computer handy. It’s aesthetically pleasing, but just not that logical to use. Hard pass.
We love this app but...
by Cute techie on 2020/07/11 19:40
We really like this app, but the calendar and reminder notifications are not working on my husbands android device. It works well in Apple iOS, but the app does not translate well between platforms. Since the whole point is to make sure we are coordinated as a family, properly functioning notifications are critical. So, as much as we love this app, we are researching other shared family programs. If this bug does not get fixed very soon, we will have to switch.
Great!

Crashes, puts things on wrong day
by eaymsmg on 2020/07/07 14:34
I rely on my free version of Cozi a lot but when I try to update my calendar on my iPhone it has a years-long history of crashing and losing all my updates - I get a msg that somebody just made changes so my changes were lost or something like that - and every time I get this message I was the person who just made the changes (my husband never logs on). It also does not always place items on the date I selected when I opened the calendar post screen - I have to go back and search the calendar for the mistaken entry, or just place the item again in the right place & know there is a duplicate out there somewhere. When I have time to dedicate, I plan to transfer to a different app. I currently don’t have the extra funds to go back to the paid version, but when I paid for it, the same things were happening. I have reloaded and changed my password several times to no avail. Not reliable enough for 5 stars, but was a helpful app before all the crashing, etc.
Very difficult to use share mode
by howcomeeverynicknameis taken on 2020/07/05 13:41
So difficult in fact that we had to go to another list app to share the household list. Very frustrating. When we deleted the Cozi app & tried to set it back up, the program said there was already an account with that email, so it was impossible to change the password.

Almost
by Gatorw on 2020/06/23 15:43
My wife and I have been using app for over a year. We paid for premium service for a year and then dropped back to unpaid version. I will be looking for another app because of one huge reason. I cannot look at a month at a time unless I pay for it. Huge oversight or misguided marketing would be my review of the app designer and it’s usefulness. Don’t waste time unless you want to pay for GOLD version.

Lacking a Lot
by AndrewF33 on 2020/06/17 23:11
The idea behind the app is great, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. I don’t mind paying for a premium membership, but after reading the overview the features that would make this a great app are lacking as well. My biggest pet peeves are with the shopping list. No option to add quantities of items No option to add details/notes to items No option to add a picture of an item The layout of the shopping list section is a little difficult to navigate From what I’ve seen using the app, it also doesn’t save grocery items to be re-added at a later time, or a favorites toggle switch which would make frequently purchased items easy to add. I’ll continue my search for the perfect shared list app, unless the features are added here and I’ll definitely become a paid subscriber.

Have to pay for Month View
by Chinacat101 on 2020/06/17 14:10
1. You have to pay $29 a year, all devices covered, in order to view your calendar monthly. It’s difficult to schedule spots when you can’t view in month mode. How can you decide you like it if they don’t even give you a trial period. 2. You need to sign on with a desktop, laptop, in order to hopefully hook into your Apple calendar. What if someone doesn’t have a desktop.

Desktop version needed
by DYG&CEG on 2020/06/16 13:29
The app is wonderful. Some items, such as recipe section, needs work. The biggest issue and possible deal killer is no desktop version. With a large family, homeschool, and running business from home, a desktop version would be a Godsend!!
Very basic but functional.
by LeeNadine on 2020/06/14 05:05
I would say this app isn’t worth the money at all, there are free apps that do more than this. There are no privacy controls to allow parents to have any lists or notes that are private from children or nannies for example, the journal is really basic, no way to save photos or identify who has added notes or comments, some really basic tweaks would make this worth the money.

2 major flaws
by Tata15 on 2020/06/10 21:40
We’ve been a Cozi Gold subscribing family for probably 6 years. I have 3 kids and a husband who travels, so having a calendar that can be accessed from anywhere on multiple platforms is perfect for us (Android, iPhones, iPads, laptops, desktops). We love the real-time grocery list, that my kids add to quite a bit, especially while I’m in the act of shopping. The ability to click in a calendar entry on an address and have your device’s map start to navigate you is super helpful when Dad doesn’t know where basketball practice is or Grandpa is visiting and needs to drive kids to events. We don’t use any recipe or menu features of the app, so I can’t speak to those. So for the above reasons, we’ve continued our Gold membership for all these years. But I have a couple big problems that despite trying to get Cozi’s help on, they ultimately have no solutions and don't appear to be working on any. The first bug is that every week or so, Cozi logs us out of our iOS devices, which means notifications are no longer being received. I’ve contacted Cozi multiple times over the last year+, and they’ve said change your password and reinstall the app. We’ve done that, yet we still get logged out. Then upon re-logging in, the default login is mine, so everyone is then logged in as me. That defeats the purpose of sending reminders and notifications to specific people when everyone is logged in as Mom. The last time I heard from them on the issue, they said sorry, we don’t know what the problem is. Um, as a long-time Gold subscriber, I don’t accept that as the final word. Secondly, the bridge to Alexa skills is super glitchy. If Alexa does add our grocery item to the Cozi grocery list, Alexa doesn’t always see that I’ve deleted items from the list after shopping. She thinks I still have bananas on the list, even though I deleted them. I have to go into the Alexa app, go into Alexa’s lists, and manually delete items that date back several months. That’s a lot of duplicate work on my end. Additionally, sometimes Alexa will create a list called Shopping and won’t add items to what Cozi calls Grocery. This results in my family thinking they’re adding items to the Cozi list, but they’re not there when I go shopping. So because we rely equally on calendar functionality and grocery functionality, I can only rate it 3 stars. It doesn’t help that they basically told told me too bad, so sorry on the repeated logging out issue.
App just crashes now - UPDATE amazing customer service
by 2018dana on 2020/06/09 23:25
UPDATE: Cozi customer support reached out within 10 hours and offered an immediate solution. They predicted that their ads in the app were causing the issue we were experiencing. Cozi team turned on Gold for 2 weeks to test if that solves the issue. It worked! Now the support team will dog into why ads in the free mode are affecting our iOS app installations. Great customer support team and response, this changed my star rating from 1 to 5. Thanks folks! Original review post: In the last week or so I noticed the Cozi app just crashes when you click on it. It opens up and in a millisecond it closes the app. I’m on latest patch and version of iOS on an 11 pro.

Absolutely love our Cozi Gold! Introduced several years ago as a tool to use with our daughter who suffered a TBI. Our family still uses it everyday BUT I wish after all this time that app had ability to add Meals. We can access recipes in app so it seems you could make adding meals an easy addition to app. I hate having to pull out laptop to plan our weekly meals or make changes as it’s really inconvenient.

Quickly and easily allows you to set up schedules and events, adjust lists on the fly and overall just keep your life organized easily. I’m not always very organized in my personal life and using Cozi to help with scheduling and reminders was a very easy habit to build and maintain. We have multiple grocery lists by store and honey do lists for each other that helps us manage our lives. Highly recommended and pay for the upgraded service, it’s super cheap and very helpful.
Slow
by HarpoDrake on 2020/05/31 21:28
It’s slow trying to put in all my work dates because I have to do them one by one. I work 48 hour shifts so it rotates (2 on 4 off) and Cozi doesn’t have an option to repeat in this fashion. It could be nice to have the option to creat new appointment and after all the details are placed, then click “add to dates” or something to past that appointment to all the specific days.
It's great but there are some problems

I recently joined a large family, and all four adults have full time jobs, there’s a 7 year old girl with school and I’m a full time college student. It’s hard to keep everyone in the same page, even with group texts, and this solved problems we didn’t even know we had!!!
Nice!

Crashing

Now that I have bought the Cozi gold the app keeps crashing when I try to save anything! Please fix this I would love to give 5 stars
Great App! One complaint
by Vef5 on 2020/05/25 20:23
This app works wonderfully for any of your home needs. Have a calendar for the whole family is extremely useful when asked “When is everyone available?”. I also love the list option. Everyone can add groceries or items as the need appears. My one issue is some of the ads, I had one for a pest control service and it showed photos of dead mice. I didn’t really love seeing that.
Great app
by NtCookdude on 2020/05/25 17:35
The reason why I didn’t do a five star is because I wish that when I tap on a day, i sent I use this app for all of my schedule needs.it even has meals that I can look up and then it tells me the ingredients. 5/5me to all of the stuff on that day. Great app though.
Has potential
by Aaron Da Misfit on 2020/05/24 20:50
The app has a lot of functionality, but it’s not very intuitive. My iPhone cooks while using it and my battery takes a big hit. Scrolling through the recipes is not smooth. Just needs tweaking. Has potential.
Great, but...
by Industrialite on 2020/05/23 09:51
I’ve had the app for a while now and I purchase gold every year. I currently have gold but ads keep popping up and it’s asking me if I want to upgrade. Kind of confused here, even after I tried to purchase it again, it wouldn’t let me.
Great App, but it crashes a lot
by swati01 on 2020/05/22 20:32
My family has loved using this app to keep schedules straight, make lists, and keep organized. With four children, it has been a lifesaver. However, it has a tendency to crash in the middle of using it both on my phone and on the desktop and then doesn’t save the additions and changes I make. Wish this would be fixed. It is for this reason I haven’t upgraded to the subscription version.
Cozi serves its purpose!!

Issues
by mikimouse_5 on 2020/05/05 00:40
I have been having issues with this app. It keeps telling me that I have no internet connection. It won’t even let me send a message to tech support. This just started being a problem the last 3 months and it’s getting worse. We love this app and use it daily for lists and our family calendar. I pay for the Gold edition of it so it’s really frustrating when I put something on the calendar or list and then it’s gone and we miss something. Any help from support would be wonderful

Mediocre for lists
by Woroniecki on 2020/05/02 13:22
We primarily use the app for lists of things to get and to do. It has some nice functionality but the primary purpose is grocery shopping. There is no way to sort the list by kind of food item, IE produce, that would allow us to better focus our shopping efforts. Sometimes as a result, we go back to the same section of the grocery store repeatedly in the same trip.

We absolutely love this app! It helps to keep us all accountable for scheduling and daily chores!
A few functional improvements would make this app even more powerful for the end user.
by StarReview7 on 2020/04/26 16:15
I am new to the app so please forgive me if suggested functionality already exists; perhaps I’m just not familiar enough with the app yet. A few improvements that I think would make this even more fabulous is the following: 1. identify, sort and/or filter shopping list(s) or shopping list item(s) by family member(s), date(s), priorities 2. Add optional quantity field for items 3. quickly sort items or lists in ABC/ZYX order, by quantity 4. Assign shopping list items to family members with deadline, reminder and be able to add link, video, picture attachment 5. Enable the ability to add an item or multiple lists. A user may create lists based off retail vendors and want items to appear simultaneously in multiple shared lists so that family members who might be shopping at certain stores can mark them off easily. Example: Family adds formula and eczema cream to “Grocery”, “Baby”, and “Amazon” shopping lists. Mom and sister are simultaneously shopping. Both pull up different lists based on where they are shopping. Sister is grocery shopping but the store doesn’t carry the baby’s brand of eczema cream. Mom is at BuyBuyBaby and pulls up her baby list, buys the item and marks it off. 6. When user creates subtitles under the list name by using ALL CAPS, is it possible to toggle the default list view to preview/show subtitles vs items? Similar to Excel’s Group functionality with Show/Hide Details toggle. Example: Under grocery, I add DAIRY, CLEANING SUPPLIES, PAPER PRODUCTS subtitles. In the shopping list dashboard or default view, I see Grocery. Underneath, I see milk, cheese, bleach and paper towels. What I want to be able to flip through quickly is the DAIRY, CLEANING SUPPLIES, PAPER PRODUCTS subtitles, then back to items. 7. Is there a way to link shopping or to do lists with calendar events and to quickly refer back to historical shopping/to do lists or calendar events? Example: A calendar event is “Vacation to Vietnam”. The shopping list is “Travel”. I use the Travel list over the years and want to filter just those shopping list items that have been added or completed during the month of 12/2019. To all the developers and the master minds behind this app, well done. Families who are obsessed with being organized thank you. 😊

Mostly satisfied
by BusyMomOfFourPlusAHubby on 2019/03/10 14:57
The good: It successfully fulfills the purpose of having a ‘family management app’ and it’s nice that it has the ability to notify family members of events with multiple reminders. I LOVE the recipe tab and like that it is easy to transfer those ingredients to the shopping cart. I appreciate that my husband and I can keep track of what’s going on and what’s needed all in one place. The bad: not entirely super user friendly, in that it’s easy to do things but not as easy to undo them. Like when you transfer the ingredients to the shopping cart, you have to individually delete each item as needed rather than selecting multiple (at least on the mobile app, it sure how that part is on the desktop). You can’t just select an entire recipe and delete if you accidentally add it twice. Also, I putting a ton of appointments was way easier on a desktop (at initial startup) than on the phone, but adding individual events is fine. Lastly, I added my kids as family members only to keep my husband and I in the loop of who is where, and it’s frustrating to have to uncheck their names in the “notify” section because they don’t have their own emails so I was getting five “notifications” since it was mine plus 4 of them until I started removing them. It could be a little smoother in that aspect. Overall though, the price is good for what you get (I NEVER pay for apps, but was willing to for this one!!) it’s been a life saver but could use some improvements.
Cozy is AWESOME
by Fun rode on 2017/07/07 19:27
I downloaded the Cozy app for the summer so that I could keep my children's calendar organized for myself and our summer babysitter. I actually had the babysitter input all the different activities lessons and outings so that she would have firsthand knowledge and be more in tune with their schedule, which is crazy! It's been wonderful to be able to see what everyone has going on at a glance. It's also been nice for my husband who will ask me what's going on today and I can just refer him to the calendar. Our babysitter does some tutoring on the side so she was able to plug in her tutoring hours well in advance so that I could make sure we had a plan on the times we would be without her. The reminders are also very helpful. I told my children it was their responsibility to be up and ready for all activities so that the sitter could literally just pulled in the driveway and they would be ready and amazingly it has worked! I've even plugged in a few of my business meetings into the Cozi calendar as a second reminder for myself as I have so much happening between home and work. I haven't used a lot of the other functions yet but I'm excited to explore what else this app has to offer! Thanks for creating an app that keeps families communicating well and organized :-) Kristel Ersan Bettenforf Iowa🌽
Ok for basic stuff
by HorribleSpider on 2017/09/24 18:39
I found this app looking for something to help with meal planning and was glad to see it had calendar features too. Unfortunately the recipe suggestions and categories are useless if you're looking for vegetarian recipes -- and the idea of being able to search just for dairy free (or vegan) options is a joke. I tried to search for "vegetarian" and got zero results even though I'd already saved one recipe that claimed to be a veggie twist on a traditional meal... so maybe the recipes are there, they just don't make them easy to find. Lots of meat recipes though, if that's your thing. But here's the real problem: I like a lot of the features, but was disappointed that some things I'd like to be able to do require annual membership payments. I'd be willing to just pay a flat fee for the app, but considering how much they're asking for monthly or yearly memberships they'd probably ask a ridiculous amount for a one-time purchase to unlock all features. My main issue with paying monthly to unlock features is that there are only SOME that I want to use. It's expensive to pay the subscription anyway, but when you only want one or two features...? Forget it. Maybe they could make cheaper, flat-rate purchase packs that unlock only certain things? I dunno, it seems crazy expensive to me for what it is and what I'd use it for. I'd rather just stick with google calendar and a free app or two to fill in the blanks (like to do and shopping lists).
Still love it after 4+ years of use

We started using the Cozi when our two oldest kids were in high school. Two varsity athletes and athletic club participants, a child in elementary school, and two parents who travel for work made for a daunting job of keeping track of all the commitments. Our bigs are now in college, youngest is just about to enter middle school and we both still travel for work. This app is perfect for any family with a ton of balls to juggle. Everyone (including the pets) are part of our group. We can keep track of every aspect we need to know for scheduling appointments, work trips, meals...literally everything. Before my husband or I agree to a meeting out of town, we can make sure no conflicts exist with our youngest child (someone is always home for her.) The notifications help keep everyone up to date on the latest changes immediately. Meal planning is simple as we can decide what kinds of meals will work best on any given day ( both of us out all day, crockpot meal; after school lessons, something quick ; just two for dinner, portion adjustment) Plus, having the meal plan allows whoever is home first to get dinner started since the recipe is also available in the app. Running to the store? Grocery list of needed items is available to confirm we have everything we need. Anything we do is in the Cozi, it is a great tool. It keeps us on track and running smoothly.
What a fabulous app!
by Mom Ellen on 2019/07/09 19:27
I’ve asked my teenage daughter for months to look into a calendar app for the two of us. Between scheduling appointments (for her, me, the dog, the car, etc!) social activities, random babysitting jobs for her and deadlines for me, it’s been a major challenge to stay organized. I’ve always used a personal calendar/planner, but that isn’t my daughter’s style, and the big wall or kitchen counter family calendar attempt was a complete fail. Enter COZI!!!! My daughter suggested it three days ago, and we’re hooked!! So easy to enter our own commitments, designate which one (or both!) of us is involved, log in events that repeat going forward, etc. And the ability to keep a grocery/drugstore list without forgetting to write an item down on paper or pick it up from the store?!?! Huge bonus!! Edits are simple, and the beautiful layouts and pleasing color combinations are wonderful too! Have not tried any features beyond the calendar and lists, and haven’t tried to print out a copy, but so far, so GREAT! Wish we had discovered this app earlier.....would have made scheduling and communicating changes throughout high school less stressful for both of us. It’ll make these weeks before my daughter heads to college SO much easier to navigate! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
Good stuff!
by Sky_Blue_Eyes on 2017/10/08 06:35
My husband and I have been using this calendar and list app to help simplify plans and communication. It’s great! This is a success because we used to constantly ask the other “What’s our plan tomorrow?” and similar questions. Now that’s more rare (it was all day, every day). The grocery and to do lists are also helpful. I especially Love the combo of the calendar and the lists all in one app. I usually need one thing to create the other, so the duality of the app functions work for me. There’s also an option to choose recipes within the app and have the food items needed loaded into a shopping list. Excellent add on that’s free! —The recommendation I have to the developer is to include healthy recipes that focus on clean eating. —Another recommendation is to create the ability to hide appointments and lists. For example, I need to use my iPhone calendar app to keep track of things throughout my day. Maybe it’s remembering to eat a snack, take a vitamin, or make a dr appointment. Regardless, it’s for me and not my husband. If only the administrator on the account could have that option then that’s fine, but ideally all users might need the option to keep things private. That would eliminate my need the to log my personal items and tasks in two places. Every. Single. Day. :) And it would make this my favorite organizational type app to date.
Best calendar/organizing app I've found
by weareramsey on 2017/06/30 11:37
I love this app! I'm a busy mom of two pre-teens who's schedules get busier and busier, and a husband with a busy work calendar. I'm also an "old dog" who doesn't like to learn new tricks so transitioning was daunting for me. What I initially loved about Cozi was the ability to create tabs for each family member so each knows where they need to be and where others are. I also loved that I had an experience where I missed a "search" feature in the Calendar where you could search for the last time you went to the dermatologist, or changed the a/c filters, etc. Sent the feedback to Cozi and within a couple months saw that feature added in an update. Now my calendar works better than my previous calendar! Another review remarked she had trouble moving items in a list. If I understand her complaint accurately, you should be able to do that by "dragging and dropping" the item up or down. I organize my grocery list (after writing it freestyle) then organize in the order my grocery store stocks them. Same with errands. I write them freestyle, then sort into the order I want to run them. I'm always excited for updates to see what new features have been added. (Please note I am a Gold member and it's worth it to me for the upgrade!)
Highly recommend for busy families!
by Wegots2kids on 2020/03/09 01:16
I highly recommend this app for anyone, but especially for busy families! We are a family if 4, which includes 2 adults, a teenager and a tween. All of which have super busy schedules. What we love the most is that we only get notified if something affecting the included family member gets scheduled. For instance if we plan a dinner with grandparents and all should be there, all will get notified or if said dinner gets canceled and deleted, all get notified. However, if my son (age 19) schedules a dentist app it’s just in the schedule, no notifications will be sent to the rest of us. With that said, we can all still access the calendar and see the schedules of each other, which makes planning group activities better. This app is fantastic! It has greatly reduced scheduling overlaps within our family. Even reducing difficulty within the family, like needing to schedule something but not being able to reach others to get it coordinated. The only thing that disappoints me with the app is that you have to pay for the subscription to be able to search for an appointment. I’d love to use that feature but just don’t feel like it’s worth the additional cost.

Great Family Calendar! The Lists Need Some Work...
by K8e L8y on 2018/12/22 16:16
We are a blended family of 6, with split custody we share with 3 other parents. Plus the kids are in school and are in activities. First we tried a simple calendar on our kitchen wall, which is great for our 5 year old and if you want a giant visual monthly overview. But...we are always on the move and schedules change fast. This app has been a lifesaver! We even have the option for our kids’ other parents to join, once our relationship is at that level. And I can access it at work on my computer where I can’t have my cell phone! The reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because of the Lists. We need a satisfying “ding” after a job complete when we check the box. We make an audible noise ourselves and it’s just not the same. The ding makes the day! Also, it would be great if in list items, when you click one item, you could add subtasks and notes and things. That way a recipe could be listed, and then the ingredients could be within it. Or a task could have a person assigned and an explanation. We still use lists because we are set on using one app, but it’s not the best. Maybe you could partner with Wunderlist? They have it down! Thanks so much!
Your kids can DELETE EVERYTHING in your "family calendar"
by Wifid143 on 2017/07/26 21:29
What a nightmare! You carefully schedule appointments, doctors, outings. Then one day you look up and a LOT OF THINGS you KNOW you put on the calendar are GONE! Yes, COZI has NO admin authority, so go ahead and schedule your life away. Then have your 10 year old open his calendar, leave the phone open an inadvertantly (or not) DELETE calendared events! This has been a nightmare resulting in TWO important events being deleted, info lost, and NO WAY TO RECOVER> When it first happened I contacted them and their reply was "oh yeah, we dont have a solution for that, anyone using the app can freely or mistakenly delete events" Now, it has happened a second time on a very serious appointment scheduled months in advance, and I am beyond furious. This is a FAMILY calendar. When it is only as strong as a 10 year olds fat finger mistake, its USELESS. They need to add an admin 4 # password to allow an event to be deleted. Trust me folks, the advantages quickly become a NIGHTMARE when your kid decides to muck around in the app thats supposed to bring families together. I am on the hunt for something new. We cant afford another screwup in this app that has no parental controls over deletions! They know about it and havent fixed it.
Nice for families but...
by Annalynne on 2018/10/30 19:17
UPDATE: with all of the free apps available these days, this one is outrageously expensive annually for the gold membership benefits. I researched for months before getting this calendar. I’m a grandmother who babysits for multiple families. It’s very hard scheduling between us all over the phone and we needed a place where we could put our schedules that we could merge together and see who is available when. This one works very nicely even as the free version. But for our needs we upgraded to the paid version which I think is too expensive. The only problem I have with this app other than the high annual cost, is I find it very difficult to distinguish between the months , weeks and days. I think there needs to be a higher contrast visually as you scroll through. Sometimes I put my things in the wrong box because distinguishing between them is not that easy. The location of the date in the box is sometimes a little confusing. I just think there needs to be a better visual display separating the months, weeks and days. Especially for anybody with low vision but even for those with good vision. Otherwise it’s a nice app in the paid version offers many useful features.
Not as good as I thought it was
by Ipodallthetime on 2017/06/26 19:38
When I found this calendar I was so excited. We have a really busy family and lots of moving parts. I was so happy I wouldn't have to send emails and texts as reminders anymore or field the when and where questions. It was all at our fingertips. Until I had to get a new phone. My old phone died. I got a new one and as is the usual I needed to sign back into the app. Only I can't sign back in. At all. I thought I had forgotten my password, but nope, my email address isn't recognized. I emailed customer service where I get an auto generated response telling me it will be at least 3 days before they will get back to me. If I am paying for the app (which Im not) it will be sooner. So after waiting 3 days I receive an email suggesting that I may have typed in the wrong email address or spelled it incorrectly. This is as if I'm bot intelligent enough to think of that on my own that I had to wait three days for someone to point it out. So I responded to the email letting them know what I tried and guess what...they will get back to me in 3-5 days. I will no longer be using this app. If I have to start a new account I would rather go to an app that cares about their customers and that realizes how important a family calendar is. So incredibly disappointed in this app and their level of customer service.
Great for organization of the family
by Kshoe14 on 2019/01/23 17:08
My husband is always asking me, “do we have anything planned for next weekend!?” -after I have told him our plans almost daily for the last month- NOW i can say “check the cozi!!” My husband is a Samsung lover, and I’m an apple advocate, so this helps join our lives easily. I also like the joined lists. My husband has a cleaning and to do list, and so do I. I like this because we know exactly what needs to be done, and it holds us accountable. This app would get 10 stars if it had a pantry list, so when I’m at the store, I can also look to see what’s in my pantry and replenish if need be. I’ve tried other pantry apps, but the importance of having an app that shares this list would be HUGE. That way if my husband eats all the peanut butter, he could check it off, and that could get added to the shopping list automatically. Developers?!? I am currently using the free cozi, but if this was an option, and it ACTUALLY worked (a lot of the pantry apps Ive tried are crap) I would definitely pay!
It’s awesome except for a couple small things
by TheCrazyBernards on 2019/02/04 15:48
I really like this app for organizing and sharing a calendar between multiple people. We have 6 kids so they are everywhere, I especially like the feature where they can add something to the calendar and we all see it. My only complaint is the addresses; When adding an address to an event in the iphones basic calendar it pops up so you don’t have to type the whole thing, which this app doesn’t do - it’s lazy but I don’t want to type the whole thing in, lol. I also wish I could type in the location area the name and if it’s saved in my contacts once again....it pops up and fills out automatically. Also some events happen yearly that aren’t birthday, like my friends baby who died I like calling her every year to tell her I’m there for her for example. Events that happen weekly like various sports or church would be nice to have an icon like the birthday icon next to it. I’m trying the Gold for a year to see how I like it, but so far so good for the most part!! My notes would make things easier to handle or just thoughts.
Best calendar app EVER
by Kristyn0417 on 2019/04/05 14:15
My husband and I were looking for a good shared calendar to keep track of allllll the things. We found this and gave it a try. We upgraded to gold after we were using it for a bit and saw the value in the gold membership. The “lists” portion of the app is absolutely incredible. We plan our out meals for the week and I just found that they have some preselected recipes so I was scrolling those and decided to give one a try. You can add all of the ingredients to your grocery list with one click (and just as easily delete the ingredients you don’t need to pick up for it). I thought that was so cool. But then I found something even COOLER! I was searching recipes online and I went to share one to my email so I could print it and I found that I can share it to the cozi app and it will create the recipe there for you so all you have to do is click a button and all the ingredients will go to your list again. And that’s just ONE feature of this app. Definitely worth it. We love it.
Convenient
by Tamar69 on 2017/09/03 17:01
Pros: Calendar helps keep you & your kids on the same page with events, activities, appointments, due dates, etc. by facilitating ease of communication & a visual reminder. Shopping lists also allow all users to add & remove items, making shopping trips more productive. Cons: Annoying ads everywhere with basic (free) version; some features only available with Gold (paid) version. When I added "laundry detergent" to my shopping list, Cozi "suggested" its ad brand and embedded the ad into my list. Yuck. Also, Calendar view isn't visually appealing/easy to look at. SUGGESTIONS/REQUESTS: It would be SO much more convenient if the Grocery List had SECTIONS (e.g., Produce, Frozen, Deli, etc.) for items - it would really expedite the actual shopping process (no more backtracking 5 aisles to get that peanut butter you skipped!). It would also be cool if the Lists could identify or track those items you buy on almost every trip to the store, and suggest said items each time a new list is started.
OMG! Organizers heaven!
by Sophiasgrace on 2019/01/03 17:57
I saw an ad for this on Facebook and I thought it might help organize my families activities and such. OMG! I have used this every day since I downloaded it, it is so useful. It notifies every family member every time you add something to the agenda, everyone can see grocery lists, you can search for recipes or so easily just add all your favorite recipes from the web - just copy and paste the web address. It allows you to plan your meals out by simply clicking on a recipe and adding it to your calendar and then adding the recipes to your shopping list so you are sure to have everything. I simply search Pinterest for recipes I want to try and add them to the family recipe file. It has a button to keep your phone from turning off while you are in recipe mode. I mean, come on! This makes me look Martha effing stewert! And I’m sorry but all this organizational help and a subscription that amounts to about 2.50 a month? What could you possibly not love about this?
Worth it!
by ImagineHatch on 2017/11/27 11:26
Our family used the free version of Cozi for a few months before we upgraded. We don’t typically purchase apps and keep a pretty strict budget but Cozi has been worth every penny! With 5 kids and a business, we rely on this app to keep things in order. One of my favorite features is the shared lists. My kids can see their chore lists and my hubby can see our grocery list if he’s out running errands. I also love being able to add things to the calendar far in advance and using our calendar to let everyone know what’s for dinner and getting our meal plan together. We haven’t tried any of Cozi’s recipes but I like being able to add recipes from other sites. This app is everything we need and has been worth every single penny. The best part about the upgrade is that it’s a one-time payment and not a subscription. So I paid a few bucks once and now we have access to everything. We love love love this app! Highly recommended!!!!

by eaymsmg on 2020/07/07 14:34
I rely on my free version of Cozi a lot but when I try to update my calendar on my iPhone it has a years-long history of crashing and losing all my updates - I get a msg that somebody just made changes so my changes were lost or something like that - and every time I get this message I was the person who just made the changes (my husband never logs on).
Still dislike

I tried this app several years ago in a coparenting situation and didn’t care for it then. We ended up using a different, much more expensive, app/site and were happy for several years. I pulled this app back in this month because my husband and I need one calendar for our family. The one he wanted to use required invitations to be sent, which weren’t accepted, and events didn’t get added. I prefer paper, which cannot be shared easily on the go with three kids. I was really really happy with it for about four days. I entered a TON of events and activities and travel information. I entered grocery lists and to-dos. I loved it for what I needed. Then I gave my husband the password to log in and join me. That’s pretty much when the honeymoon ended. Day 1- my to-dos and grocery lists were deleted. Okay. No problem. Rentered it all. Day 2- every. Single. Effing. Calendar entry was DELETED. don’t know what he did. But I can almost guarantee he doesn’t either. I do know that, literally, hours of my time were wasted. So I deleted the app. There’s no way to secure the entries and protect them from deletion. It’s too risky to depend on this calendar for actual families who need this information saved.
Divorce Arguments down 95%
by Sandman SF Bay on 2017/08/03 15:34
My ex-wife brought Cozi to my attention years ago (2009?). For and handful of years we consistently bickered and quarreled over one or the other not remembering or not thinking the other person remembered things she or I planned into the kids' schedules. With Cozi, 95% of our reasons to have weekly (or daily) flare ups were eliminated. Having one master calendar source (with reminders) to refer to just made daily life smoother for all of us (most especially our children who stopped seeing their parents bicker over little things so frequently in the past. As a guy, who can remember 3 things told to me in a rapid verbal laundry list of "To Dos" before I simply don't retain any additional info (but who is indeed a will do...follow-through and dependable person), Cozi has been invaluable. Thanks for being largely responsible for 8+ years of much smoother sailing through the daily realities of divorce with children Cozi!
Loving it so far - after a few changes would be irreplaceable!
by Italyrose on 2017/10/19 18:23
I love this app for calendar sharing! I can notify my husband of changes and I can enter data from the computer - much easier for me!! I love that I can send notifications to him and he uses our COZI calendar as his calendar too. We don't have to "push" appointments to and from each other. If I update it on COZI, he sees it. I also love that I can instantaneously update the grocery list and he sees it (in case I remember something while he is shopping). I only gave it 4 stars because I would love to be able to copy an appointment! If I have an event with a couple of possible dates now I have to enter all the data twice, or enter a hair appointment - same info as last time just a new date. I would also love to be able to sync with contacts so I don't have to look up an address for the location. Another great add would be syncing with my iPhone calendar in case I like to use both. Still LOVE the app though :).
User Friendly
by Dewdropmas on 2019/04/11 20:01
Our extended family has finally found a shared calendar we all can live with. It is easy to enter or edit an event & indicate who is participating. There is extra room on a pop-up screen when you want to provide extra detail about an event but because it pops up when you want it, it isn’t in the way from seeing the larger picture. It is easy to see at one glance what is happening no matter which device you are using at the time. When you are away from home it is easy to make an appointment and know that you are not going to conflict with something else. Customer service is timely, friendly & helpful even if you are using the free version. Using Cozi has eliminated scheduling problems within the family. It is meeting our needs very nicely. If you are looking for a way to coordinate family events, do give Cozi a try.
Great with an annoying flaw
by Frendlycat on 2019/11/05 23:46
My family has used this app for awhile and likes it overall. However I am sick of the fact the app is set up in a way where your lists pop up, then after a delay of a second or so what is on the page shifts so that an advertisement link is in the place where your list used to be. Too many times I hit an ad link instead of my list because of this last minute “page layout switch.” This does NOT happen on other apps and I have a very nice iPhone so this an app feature that I have had enough of. After being tricked into clicking an ad too many times today I am considering finding a better app. I have no doubt this is done deliberately to give the appearance of an inflated number of ad clicks but it is stupid and useless. If I do not want to see an ad and did not deliberately click it then it quickly gets closed out quickly anyway, but I am tired of dealing with thus irritation for the appearance of extra ad clicks. There is no excuse for this. Unfortunate.

OK but...
by Hargrepa on 2020/02/07 12:49
I use an iPhone... I have it set to receive notifications, the only notifications I get or the 4 other people using is an email, no pop up notifications. Tried everything I can think of, so has everyone else using. Followed all steps to link Apple calendar to Cozi and visa versa. Many times. Zero success. My son plays baseball and the coach uses Team Snap for all practices, games etc, it took me less than a minute to link that to the Apple calendar. I look online and see reviews complaining of same issue from 2014, why 6 years later is it no better? Update I’ve had a prompt and comprehensive reply to my issues with Cozi. Their tech support, Marian, did a through and complete study of my and my family settings. Deleting and reloading app seemed to to the trick for my notifications issue, go figure. The linking of calendars seems to be an Apple issue. Thank you for taking the time to study my issues.....great tech support!
Great App Love but needs improvements
by Smart Professinal on 2017/10/23 04:11
I really love this app but needs improvements to be more user friendly. My first complaint is the grocery list has too many steps to erase the items & I cannot tell you how dumbfounded I am no one at Cozy can figure this out. Adding items to the calendar has to change because I keep putting an appointment type it close it then I cannot find it because to input the date it’s just terrible again way too many steps come on people!!this is meant to replace the paper agenda keep this in mind genius developers!! I have kids and let me tell this app fails me as a parent hire Dads and Moms as developers to figure out what I’m talking about because you clearly have no CLUE!! So I’ll keep the app for now until I find another one who knows what the heck I’m talking about. FYI I’m a professional who has a full time job
Month Calendar View
by Popples987 on 2019/04/07 11:41
I am currently on a trial for Gold and have been testing out other family organization apps. I love most of what Cozi has to offer and I love the simple and user friendly interface and text, however the month calendar view that I was so excited to get access too is disappointing to say the least. The layout is awful and actual distinct boxes and the date numbers on the upper left of each box would be less confusing, I would prefer color coded text and the ability to click on the day and have the events pull up underneath the calendar in a manner similar to the week view, with even the option to scroll through the subsequent days in this section as well. Also, being able to set an actual location that can be pulled up on maps would be amazing! I am still looking at other options, but I see so much potential for Cozi. I just can’t justify paying the premium for access to a calendar that is essentially unusable.
Don’t buy Gold; terrible design
by D.Alexarnett on 2020/01/20 16:07
I made the $30 mistake of purchasing Gold, primarily so that I could access the 1-month calendar view. I didn’t realize- because you cannot preview the full calendar view without paying $30- that Cozi has decided to format their calendar exactly opposite to any other calendar I have ever used. On each day’s rectangle, the day’s events are formatted to the very top, while the numerical date is formatted to the bottom. Maybe the malfunction is specific to my brain and not the app, but I was absolutely confused as to which week the calendar items were associated with. I contacted Cozi support and they let me know that while they were more than happy to TAKE my money, they were sorry to report that they have absolutely no mechanism to give it back. They pointed me to Apple Support, which summarily rejected my request for a refund without even allowing a human being to read what I had typed into their text box. So, buyer beware. You’ll have to shell out $30 to discover the mystery of whether or not Cozi’s absolutely unintuitive design and interface confuses you as much as it did me.
Cozi Gold is the best Organizer App ever!
by Too Darn Busy on 2019/12/24 16:03
Our family is so busy; this app helps us not only to keep track of our own individual dates & times, but we can also see what other family members are doing. The reminders are so helpful too. I use nearly all of the many features that Cozi offers. One of my favorites is the shopping list feature. Two or more people can shop from the same list at the same time, checking items off as they put them in their cart. The other person can see in “real time “ on their phones as each item is checked off. No duplication and shopping finished in half the time. We also use the “To Do” list function to keep us on track. There are so many things you can do with the Cozi App, which is free, but we think that the extra features in the Gold version is worth the money.
Organization!!!
by Was a fan :( on 2019/02/17 17:24
Cozi has become our personal assistant. With family members spread over several states we manage to find weekend get always that work for the whole family. Being able to post to each others calendars is a benefit! For the immediate household we are always up to date on neighborhood gatherings, personal appointments, and our daughters college & dating schedule. Cozi recipes, and shopping make life easy on daily basis. Reminders, help us organize days in advance. Household maintenance schedules are easier to follow with Cozi. To do lists make floating chore days easy work through! The the same chores getting done weekly by three people on different days, so nothing’s overwhelming! To do list made for an easier move last year! Birthday reminders help us remember things when we are at a frantic pace.
TRIAL PERIOD OF COZI GOLD
by Dgy3gt on 2018/01/24 12:41
My husband and I are retired and I was looking for a simplistic way to share a calendar, grocery list and to do list. I very quickly decided the ads were going to be distracting and decided to use the 14-day free trial of Cozi Gold to determine if this is the app for us. I like the ease of making multiple shopping lists (grocery store, Sam's, Walmart, etc), the ease of making individual To Do lists and the ease of adding things to the lists. What I don't like is being unable to rearrange and organize the items on each list after they are entered. For example, I add things to the grocery list as I need them, but am unable to organize the list to make it easy to shop. Also, I have a lengthy To Do list and would like the option of rearranging to prioritize my chores. I haven't moved our calendar to the Cozi app yet, but read in another review you can't repeat entries without reentering all the information. Unless there are ways I've missed to do these things, I'll be leaving Cozi. DEVELOPER: Can you help?
Ok but could be better
by User7835 on 2018/01/06 17:43
I’ll start by saying my wife and I have used this app for about six years. We got it initially because it was about the only decent family calendar in the App Store when we started looking. We never upgraded to the full pay version because it’s ridiculously expensive for limited improvement. It’s nice to have a family planning app with shared calendar, shared lists, recipes, journal, etc, BUT each of these components are all mediocre. I have a “to do” app, a recipe app, that are much more functional (and still free). My wife and I also just started using the iOS calendar app with family sharing. It’s easy to set up shared calendars and it has better calendar views than Cozi. For the money Cozi makes from advertising and paid subscriptions they should have a top-of-the line product to offer, but they don’t. The developers have done little to improve the app it the time we’ve been using it either. After over five years of using Cozi, I’ll be moving on.
Great for busy families
by Silverramette on 2018/11/28 01:42
Negatives (why it lost a star): Unlike apple calendar, this app will not search locations for events so you must manually enter locations/addresses. Also this app’s charge for Gold is ridiculously high and not worth the price for a few extra features. The app does not coordinate with social media like Facebook events. Positives: Anyone can enter an appointment or event and all can see it. If you are invited to an event you receive a notification plus weekly reminders for events. I write my grocery list out on paper but the grocery list function is useful to me if I’m out and about and need to give myself a reminder to add something to my list. The app is easy to use—so much so that my retired parents use it (they watch my kids after school). I haven’t really used the recipe section but I like the idea of it. It might be worth it to have user submitted recipes.
Constant crashing!
by Need a reliable organizer on 2017/07/15 14:28
I have used and loved and highly recommended Cozi for the past 2 years to organize our large family. But in the last month it crashes within seconds of opening nearly every time I try to use it which is many times a day. Very frustrating as our entire lives are organized by this app. I'll have to switch since this is just not workable and doesn't seem to be changing. Update- I have removed and reinstalled Cozi no less than 25 times in the last month. I've even removed other apps that I thought might be interfering, deleted many things to increase available memory, performed soft resets on my phone multiple times and taken my phone into the store to see if they had any ideas. Cozi still crashes every time I open it. It seems to be to be related to how complicated you've made it now with all the little unnecessary pop up screens and extras that seem great but really aren't needed in a basic calendar app. I wish you could go back to the basics and then just leave it alone.
Love it, but has minor glitches
by happyuser&76$ on 2019/03/14 19:27
Love the fact that I can synchronize my schedule with the rest of the family’s. I liked the way time was entered before. Now, it is difficult because when I enter the time, sometimes it gets changed by mistake if I touch the screen (it is very sensitive to touch and easily changed) and I end up with the wrong time messing up my schedule. I liked the drop down option better. That option was impossible to change by mistake. Also, sometimes I keep entering ‘pm’, but when I save, the time still displays ‘am’. No matter how many times I change it, it remains ‘am’. Very annoying. Usually, it changes to the right time the next time I open the app, but I never know if I saved the right time or not. Other than that, the app is great. I use it every day.
Calendar is great; Lists not as great
by Baayybee789 on 2017/06/28 23:16
I tried Cozi when it first came out and it never really worked for me. Recently I was talking with a friend and she raved about so I gave it another chance. Now I really like it, especially the calendar. It is really intuitive and easy to use. The lists, while intuitive, are not as helpful. I like the subtitles but once I've added an item I can't move it to a subcategory. My style is to brain dump my list items and organize later. I also like to organize my errands by priority and/or location. I use another app called Errands that I like better for the To Do list. I love the shopping list functionality in Cosi a lot though, especially the recipe integration but I still want to organize my lists by store/grocery aisle, etc. Cut and paste is too time consuming. I would prefer a grab and drop interface or something similar.
Awesome For Families!
by Smcramer on 2017/11/09 13:37
A must-have for families! This app helps us keep our family's schedule organized and everyone aware of what's happening. We have 5 people's schedules, plus the dog, my husband's work travel schedule, a home business ... lots going on. This app keeps us going! I LOVE the shared shopping list feature in Cozi Gold! All the users can add to multiple lists so that when one person is shopping, the list is just there! Birthday reminders are fantastic too! My only “wish list" items for this app are: (1) I wish it had a reminder setting for when certain bills are due; (2) I wish the items themselves could have an option for color coding based on person or category; (3) I wish the sub-categories were easier to work with. Those three features would complete it for me!
Love it! Needs a couple more features to be super useful to me...
by W8! on 2019/09/28 23:08
Works great as a family grocery list for sure. My kids have it on their phones and when they run out of something or want something new, they add it to the list and I see it when I’m at the store. It also works great as a repeatable packing list, particularly with the Heading feature to let me organize the list within the lists. For example, I create subheadings for toiletries, business travel, international travel, clothes, etc, and when I put it in my suitcase I mark it off the list. When everything is packed, I select the feature to Uncheck All and I have the list at the ready for my return trip as well as future trips. The two features that would make this app even more useful for me are: 1) the ability to change the list item to a different List or To Do, and 2) the ability to add a date to a list item to make it appear on the calendar. I can’t tell you how many times I had something on my Walmart shopping list but needed to put it on my BJs or grocery list, and there are things in my To Do world that need to be completed by specific dates but need to be on a master To Do list where I can see them all in case I can get to it earlier. With those two features, I’d give this app a 5 star rating. Thanks!
Long time user with a request
by Toby Family on 2017/07/09 13:26
I love it and I have recommended it for busy families and blended (multiple home) families; and also for families where several adult children share in care of elderly parents so they all know appointments, doctor contacts, etc. It's a very good app, especially when many people in many locations using different systems need central access to information. I would love to see the option of adding a photo right in the Calendar instead of just the Journal. Newsletter from school indicating upcoming school event? Take a photo and put it in the calendar. New medical appointments? Take a photo of appointment card and put it in the calendar. Currently I document originals of newsletters and appointment cards in the Journal, but I would prefer to have them directly in the calendar.
Seniors
by Pallette Knife on 2019/03/29 09:56
Harold and I are empty nest senior citizens. We both love Cosi: What I don’t love is the way I lose most of my entries. I need a window that warns me I need to sign in first if I want to make changes to the shared calendar. At present I have to remember never to sign out, which is counterintuitive to the process of “blowing out” apps that are running in the background in order to save battery life on my phone. I almost always make changes. I have a little work-around that I use, but it is tedious and time-consuming when I am scheduling appointments at the doctors office or my hair salon or one of several book clubs and NFP boards I serve on. Can you provide a sign in warning window with a choice that I can make to “always see this window when I open cosi” or “I don’t want to see this again when I open Cosi” ?
Very good, could be great!
by Holli** on 2017/12/21 17:38
I love so many things about this app! Shared calendar, shared family journal, user-friendly, and more. But my constructive criticism is this: when looking at the month view, one can’t see whose appointment it is (the type could be shown in their color, as a suggestion); when zoomed in on the month view, the font is so tiny, even zoomed in, that it’s hard to tap on the right appointment, in case of a need to edit - one must go to the weekly view and scroll to the appropriate day; and, finally, one must choose a time for the appointment with the scroll-through-the-times method, whereas apps like Sunrise allowed a quick-set method where one typed it in, saved it, and then one could adjust the time by drag and drop. Of course, keep in mind that I am PICKY, so with these being my only irks, and the rest being lovely, it’s a well-earned 4 stars!
Used Cozi for years! Needs Siri & Apple Watch capability
by Hen W. on 2019/09/29 12:13
First off - I would like to say that Cozi has been my #1 productivity app for at least 7 years, if not longer. I use it Every Day & I feel like I have my entire life on there. I would like to request to the developers to update it for 1) Siri capability (Hey Siri, add milk to my Cozi Grocery list; Hey Siri, add Pick John up at 5pm to my Cozi calendar) and 2) Apple Watch comparability. Lastly, and this is just a pipe dream of mine: it would be great to be able to use digital stickers & embellishments to be able to decorate my journal, calendar, lists, etc. there is not a fully functional planner app out there that you can decorate/embellish. You would be cornering the market! I will be continuing to use Cozi - it is still the best app I have found (and I look yearly - mostly for the reasons I have added above). I’m sure I will be using Cozi for years to come - Thank you for keeping me organized!!!(
Great Family Calendar
by Sledbetter002 on 2019/12/04 07:28
Cozi helps all of us know the what where and time of all our family members from Drs Appointments to volleyball practice we all know what’s going on. Who’s at the dentist? Whose driving the carpool for football practice at 6:00? Three different homes, multiple family members all in a shared calendar we wouldn’t live without. Each person is named and color coded. Appointments have a start and end time. Reminders can be set for multiple attendees and it only takes 15-20 seconds to enter an appointment. Easy to reschedule, easy to set up recurring appointments. My 85 year old Dad uses it, so trust me, it’s easy to use. You can even scroll back in time to see when you had your last haircut. It’s the best family calendar out there. I’d give it 10 stars if it let me.
Holidays/Messaging/Recipes
by EllyMay808 on 2018/07/10 20:22
It’s missing Easter and April Fool’s Day. Those are pretty basic so that’s odd. Also, the app really needs some kind of comment or messaging feature similar to Picniic, FamCal, or several other family organizer apps. Until that’s added, I can’t bring myself to subscribe because so many of these other apps offer that feature for free. I really like the colored dot system for family members. And I want to love the recipe saving/importing system but it doesn’t seem to work very well. I just finished trying it on about 10 sites and it pulled from 4 (the other 6 it just gave me an error on), with one of those having pulled nutrition info into the ingredients section instead of the actual ingredients. So it really only worked 3 times out of 10. This is definitely not something I would pay for without some improvements. I do like the the concept enough that if the issues I listed were fixed, I most likely would gladly subscribe.
On the fly
by tracyprev on 2018/11/20 22:21
I love using Cozi!! I tell all my friends about it. I can get my grocery list in on my phone, and my husband can go get the groceries using his phone. I can set appointments, meetings and get-togethers on the fly. It’s a lifesaver. With the family gold plan you can notify your family members and they can understand your schedule which makes life easy. I also love the gold plan because I can set three alarms so I don’t miss a meeting/appt. and I just learned how to import my child’s ENTIRE school year Into the calendar. I used to sit down at the kitchen table for hours collecting all of the fliers and calendars from her school and enter each event and vacation day manually. Now it is just a couple clicks. I’m working my way to using the recipe box and maybe one day I’ll be using the journal.
Best Family Calendar I Could Find
by Ditjk on 2018/12/04 21:33
We have a blended family split between several households. Cozi allows us to keep track of each person’s activities and group activities. Having the ability to see what others have planned allows less confusion and avoids confrontations due to multiple events being planned (so helpful for divorced parents!). Cozi also offers a shared grocery list and shopping list option for members. This is such a convenient way for each person to jot down what we identify as a need in the house and allow whomever is out and about to see it and grab it. The one thing missing that would improve this app, especially for divorced parents, is an expenses section. A place to track what each has spent on each kid and what it was spent on (medical, school, sports, etc...). This feature could also include the ability to set up or track a budget. (Because it doesn’t truly do it all, I gave it 4 stars) What if Cozi partnered with a national retailer like Target and allowed those grocery lists to talk to each other? Like, if I made my list in Target it could be sent to Cozi or vice versa? What if Cozi partnered with a bank to support the budgeting or spending tracking? Just throwing some ideas out there, Cozi. Call me if you’re hiring!!

It’s great
by Freeway99 on 2020/07/21 13:09
It’s keeping my husband and I much more organized. He loves the grocery list 👍🏻

It's great but there are some problems
by jlrstats on 2020/05/29 23:51
I love it honestly but one thing that bugs me is it sometimes it's sort of just like goes crazy on you and it takes you out of the app

I recently joined a large family, and all four adults have full time jobs, there’s a 7 year old girl with school and I’m a full time college student. It’s hard to keep everyone in the same page, even with group texts, and this solved problems we didn’t even know we had!!!

OK but...
by Hargrepa on 2020/02/07 12:49
I use an iPhone...
