Recent bug with email drafts

The past month, when you compose or reply to an email, it doesn’t delete the saved drafts when you send, leaving you with several (up to dozens) of drafts in the thread — which you can only delete one by one laboriously. Hilariously the feedback function stopped working as well. Prior to that I loved this app as it was superior to the Apple and Gmail apps for ease of use and breadth of functions. If they don’t fix this I’ll have to revert to the Apple Mail app which is poorly conceived.
New update not working

For the most part app works. Every other update is causing app to auto refresh nonstop. Serious glitch and can't use. Hopefully I won't have to wait as long as before(2 month) before it is corrected. Now it’s been another month!

This app hasn't been updated since 2015, which probably explains why they haven't fixed the glitch in FB where when you try to react to a post, the app suddenly skips down the page several items. Very annoying!

I have two or three other Google apps that I can get into and use with my account very easily BUT this one is so stupid to get into!!! At lest the free addition ... why would anybody want to pay for a headache like this?? I could never upgrade ($) something I can't even sign into ‼️‼️ good God people get it together

The app was fine. I liked enough to buy the upgrade. It is an in app purchase though and you don't get credit if it gets screwed up. I refuse to pay more than once for it and the ads are annoying without it so to the trash it goes. The main page is irritating.

I've been using this app for a year, for the calendar, email and document functions. While the ads have always been intrusive, I've lived with it since it's free and has met my needs. However, in the last week, all the ads are for "girls who always say yes" and "naughty girls" with images of women dancing suggestively and starting to slip off their underwear. I'm sorry but I don't want invitations for porn or for prostitution. Goodbye, G-Whizz, I will never use any product of yours again.

I like the ability to check Gmail and Voice from one app. Don't know why Google can't do that so smoothly! With that said, the ads are VERY intrusive. I understand that they have to have revenue to fund the free app, but this is beyond anything I've seen. It made a 5-star rating into a 3.5.

Okay so,,,, this app does an awful lot. You really can navigate a number of different apps via this one app. That's what I like about it,,, unfortunately that's also what I hate about it. This app does so much that it gets a little nerve racking mainly, and this is just my opinion,,, to much useless stuff. Options you don't need and you look at them anyway then realize... Sshhhhiiiit I'm never gonna get those 5 mins back. If you app is going to do something.... Make it DO something.. Not just a bunch of crap EVERYONE else is already doing.

I used to love this app until a few months ago when anytime I try to open the google voice part of it, it crashes. The screen flickers and you can look at anything, just a mess! Smh. It was great once soon a time, and there isn't a ways to contact them about the app.

Have used this app for a while for Google voice. Works very nicely for texting (I use google hangouts for calling). They are very on top of updates and really take care of crash reports.
By the way, to reload, you need to pull the top of the app screen down a bit.

Good:
Allows you to do all your emails plus access your calendar in Google. Nice to have this in one app.
Not so good:
You can view calendar items and create them but you can't view or modify reminders.
Bad:
No link to your to your Contacts database.
When clicking a link in an email, Hard to get out and back to mail screen.
Sometimes it locks up but will recover.

To the point of being UN-USEABLE. Love the concept, but the constant crashes and slow response, plus the constant ad delay for rack app startup for a Google Search app I already have just makes this too much hassle to bother with.

I like the ease of my Drive at my fingertips as we converted at work. I don't like the ads on such a small viewing window. It's driving me nuts that the directions on how to add your calendar to your home screen say to hit an arrow that doesn't exist. I must like it enough to have been using it for over 2 months, but the little things could make it that much better. Lately it's been freezing on me & has lost emails in progress

I use many of Googles applications on a daily basis. I hadn't really thought too much about how inconvenient it was to have to switch between applications and re-enter password info etc. This new all-in-one Google product allows me to access all of my google apps in the same place. Great idea to consolidate, keep up the great work!

This is the only calendar app I've found that shows all of the events on my google calendar - including those from outside synced calendars. Only drawback on the calendar is a streaming bar at the bottom of the screen that runs continuously. Not sure what the purpose is but it's super distracting. Like having fb and Twitter in one place. Some features don't seem to work like Transit.

Sluggish a bit, tends to freeze up changing either to portraits to landscape vice versa.
Still have the old basic layout of ios 6 when we're on ios 8? This app needs an overhaul before recommending buying the pro version. I haven't yet and won't until I know from this free version to shows what you guys are made of, even thou I have weblock/disconnect/disconnect kids to block any ads from you but not the point.

iPhone 4S IOS 7. Still crashes. When I open app crashes or if app opens I try to open an email app crashes. When I try to paste into calendar notes, locks up and crashes.
From an open email link, the back arrow goes back to inbox and not back to open email.
Does not allow to open links nor videos in Safari. YouTube Video sound will not work within App.

First of all People don't understand that u r able 2 turn ads off. Second of all it crashes all the time! I tried like 1000009 times to read a darn email and It will not possibly let mee! I use Google Apps for business and while I don't have to look at ads, I still think this app is lacking. Gmail is pretty good, but the Calendar app lacks functionality on the iPhone. Why can't I modify reminder times & set recurring events from the iPhone?
There is no reason these mobile platforms should lack the utility of the desktop version. Come on, Google! You can do better.

So far it's good. Some improvement needed. Not able to share photos on Facebook while using this app. Translate does not let you type more than 3 short sentences without cutting you off. The main reason i got this app was so i could translate text from Facebook without having to going all the way out and back again. I needed a menu bar and this app has it. That makes it a lot easier and faster to copy and paste and go from Facebook to translate. Ads are annoying but, I guess that's what you get on a free app. I like having everything I use all right there on one menu bar. And you can set up the menu bar in the order you want. All in all it is a great idea and I will continue to use it. If Google could fix the issues I mentioned, it would be a five star app.

Email, browser, and most of the other apps work all right. No email signatures or other bells and whistles. Facebook is very limited as to what it will allow you to do. No way to manage subscriptions to people's feeds or block annoying apps and people. No uploading photos directly, you have to email them to some weird randomly-generated address to post them (mine includes an iffy word that makes me think a spam filter would block it by default). But the worst - messages and posts often get cut off - in several different ways. Sometimes it will only put up half of my post or comment and totally omit the rest. Sometimes if I try to use cut and paste to edit before posting, it will crash the program and when I reopen it, I'm back on newsfeed and my message (however long it may have been) is gone. If I'm writing anything of substance, I have to draft it in my email or Evernote or somewhere else and drop it in ready to go or risk losing some or all of it. I think of it as just a lightweight way to check in on news but not to get anything important done.
Great app, but needs updating and more user friendly interface.

The idea behind this app is really good. I like how all my Google apps were put into one place - it was a great idea by the designers! However the functionality and appearance of the apps is not very good. The Gmail app is your old classic version and the Google plus app takes you straight to the Google search page which is something I do not like. You will use this if you are more concerned about time management and accessing all your apps in one place. If you like an app to look good and you want to be able to use the apps to their full potential, don't use this app. If Google would come out with something similar to this I would definitely download it, but I am more focused on the appearance of my apps rather than saving five seconds of my day, which I would be doing anyway.
So download this app if you want all your Google apps in one place, but if you like really nice looking Google apps that have full functionality, then don't download it.
Fantastic idea for an app but it only gets three stars because of its lousy interface.
Good Intentions, but Bad Delivery

I was glad there was finally an app that brings together several elements of Google, and then some, but I find that G-Whizz attempts to gather too many features without perfecting any of them. For the most part, the layout makes sense, but I find that the app struggles with some basic functions. Do not use if you are in a hurry. You are better off with opening the separate app dedicated to what u r trying to do (Gmail, Calendar, Facebook). Here are some issues, to name a few:
- the icon shows a number on my homescreen, but the number doesn't necessarily correspond with the number of unread emails in my Gmail, so I'm not sure what it is idicating. I can't figure out if it is counting something else, or if it's simply incorrect
- clicking a link in an email takes you to another screen, but the app isn't meant for web browsing. There is an option to open the link in Safari, which helps, but I find that it is a slow process and takes too much time. I'd rather just view it on my computer than to have to wait for the app to close, open Safari, etc.
- the Calendar isn't perfect. The default month view requires you to pull down the screen in order to see the last week of the calendar, so it doesn't give an easy month view as good as the GooCal app.
Overall, I have neutral feelings about this app. It needs some improvements to make it more functional.
Works Like It's Supposed to Work

I have a business presence in the social media world as well as a personal presence. This app allows me to be signed in as my business presence on the same phone as I am signed in as my personal presence. This app saves me the time of signing in and out of Facebook, Twitter and Google+ and makes it easy to leave postings appropriate to the applicable account.
Along with the convenience, the app works well too! It isn't buggy like a lot of apps can be; no freezes, no eternally spinning circles, no crashes, etc. The only thing I would say would make it better is to keep this stability while simultaneously adding some of the other functionality of the individual apps, such as sharing, navigation buttons, etc...

Excellnt integrated app. Mail is much better than iPad's basic mail. Google+, Facebook and twitter is faster than their individual apps. Google's core apps work fine as well. If you use google apps already, twitter and Facebook as well, this is the app for you. You can effortlessly switch between apps in this one GUI and your favorite social networks. The back button brings you to the last page (even a different app) that you were at.
I'll be uninstalling 7 applications on my iPad and replace with this one.
It crashed once on me, hence the 4 stars, but I really like replacing many other apps from other makers with this faster more efficient one.

I got this solely for the Calendar, since I needed a Google cal app to keep my family up to date on appts and events. The cal app is good, although it doesn't allow you to set reminders and has no "all day" option for events you enter; you are also stuck selecting times on the hour and half hour instead of being able to manually input event times.
As for the rest, it's nice to have the news, translate, and search functions and maps all in one place, but do we really need Facebook and Twitter on here, too? Plus it's a little off. It keeps showing that I have 13 notifications and I've checked Gmail, Google+, FB, and no notifications show up anywhere! Quite annoying. Summary: a good start but needs a lot of fine tuning. Would be nice to have the Calendar app on its own.

I don't particularly care for this app. I already have Google Earth, Chrome, Gmail and a calendar app that auto syncs with GCal. I was hoping this would put them all in one place, but it really doesn't, they're kind of scattered around here. I entered my government account info, went back later and I had to log in all over again. The Gmail app remembers my account information for two different accounts just fine. Seems like this is a hodgepodge of google stuff, most of which I don't use and doesn't do any of it as well as the individual apps that I use. This seems to me more of Google trying to track everything I do with my phone so they can sell my info to others, which is where I suspect they make most of their money. They started out with "do no evil" and ended up trying to sell out their customers in any way they can.
Glitches Kill an Almost Perfect App

I have used this app for Google Docs, but the glitchy design of the G-Whizz Docs interface makes me want to find new ways to pulverise my iPod. I do not understand how difficult it would be to simply have the keyboard pop up when I click on a word or a space, like a normal iPod interface, instead of constantly popping up when I try to scroll down the page. It's so frustrating to find something that's almost perfect for my documents only to find bad coding throws a monkey wrench into the whole thing and derails the gravy train. If you look further into the reviews you will find that others are also experiencing the glitching problem, so it may be beneficial to take a look into it to help refine your product.
Great friend to Google users

I use a lot of Google products but love the iPad. This application makes it easy for me to integrate my Google services. Most of the applications look and feel like they do on Safari, but they add notifications, which is great. Google Voice is much better on here than the app, because it allows you to get your messages the same way but you get to use a full keyboard as opposed to the pseudo iPhone app with 2x zoom. It is great to have Gmail with notifications without it being mixed in with my corporate Exchange folders. I like the integration of Facebook and Twitter also. This is my one stop shop for all of my social networking and personal messaging needs.
Only app I've found that has Google Maps

It's different than the old Google Maps app (for one thing, the maps feature isn't front and center; it's buried within the app--click "more" to find it hidden amongst the constellation of other Google services) -- and it's (map feature) is slightly redesigned as compared to the old Google Maps app, but at least it's available.
And appears to be just as usable as before, though with mildly unfortunate aesthetic and usability modifications. It will do until Apple wises up (?? will they ??) and reinstalls the "real" Google Maps.
Can't add events to calendar from email

I find the most annoying thing about this app is that it does not allow you to add calendar events sent via email into my google calendar. My husband is constantly sending me events to add to our social calendar (he uses Outlook) and this app does not allow me to easily add them to my google calendar. I have to go to my computer and add them via my gmail, which is not always convenient. The iPad email app can't do it either for some reason, which is why I was hopeful that this app could update my google calendar. I will probably delete this app if a solution is not provided in the next update. I have the free version and I would definitely NOT pay for this when something as simple as a calendar event can't be added to my calendar.

I tried Vtok to use google talk n it just stopped working right away no matter how many reinstalls or what I did to fix it. I downloaded this app so I could use google talk and it seems to work. I just use it for that although it has a lot of neat features. My only complaint is that it waits a while to log u back in automatically after a reception issue occurs that causes u to be "logged out" so in chats I don't receive all my messages. I haven't found the settings where I can request automatic right away log ins. Also, sometimes my contacts don't show. I do like the feature where I can switch back n forth from gmail n other options (screens). AND it's a free app. :)
Super annoying ads in free version

The free version has super annoying ads, and the dialog boxes, to turn them off, do not work properly. If you choose to turn them off for 24 hours, they stay right where they were...i.e. they do NOT turn off at all. And, every time you open the app, you get an annoying full screen video. Also, it would be nice if there were a single sign on for all of the google apps...as it is, you have to log in to each one separately. However, each app does remembers your ID and password, between sessions. Overall, it is a pretty nice app, without the very annoying ads...but the ads are so annoying that it almost makes you not want to reward them by buying the app.
It gets better and better!

I thought I liked this app as soon as I started using it but the more I use it the better I like it. It remembers the sites you visit and the files you use and actually asks you if you would like to go back.
The Facebook portion is very responsive and seems to load just as well as the Facebook mobile app.
I like Gnail very much and have been using that this weekend in lieu of my regular Mail program.
I was able to modify the menu bar and now the app is quite comfortable.
Try it you will definitely like it

I will change my review if it gets better but right now, it's not working well for me. I tried using Google Calendar, adding events, etc. and displayed some weird graphics where you really can't add a specific time to an event. I then switched from mobile view to desktop view to see if there was any change. I got a message that said basically this may not look right or have every feature. I clicked "okay", then kept getting the same message over and over. I was locked in a loop and had to power off. Glad I haven't bought the $2.99 version. Like I said, I try a few more things but this won't work for me if it remains the same. Last update was 8 months ago, so they seem to not be bothered by how their app is functioning...or not.
Considering the fact that it's a free version...

I really like it. I plan on purchasing the full version just because I enjoy how this "preview" is set up. I find the fact that I can use Google Docs in a mobile version extremely pleasant as well; although I'd be lying if I said that part of it didn't need just a bit of tweaking. Then again, that could just be because I have an older device that seems to have quite a few problems with the newer apps. Still, this is a rather fine app and I'm very satisfied with it thus far. -thumbs up-
Not the best

Facebook is ok.. Most features work but the experience is not as smooth as using regular FB. Gmail is the same as checking through your phone however is you have two accounts this app makes that process easier. Twitter same, google search same.
The major complaint I have is similar to my Facebook complaint which is overall the interface is not smooth and seem less pages get stuck you can't always go back to previous ones and I'd comparing this app to just using all its tools in a normal way ie through your mail box or your FB app or twitter your not getting much more , besides connivence.
With that I give 3 stars

I'd been kind of ignoring this app for a long time, but picked it up a whim during the holiday sale. Glad I did! I totally agree with others, this is definitely what the other Google apps *ought* to have been! Very nice interface, *easily* replaces several others. The one minor request I have is I'd like to see voice incorporated into the Translate, but I'm guessing that has more to do with a limitation Google is setting than it does any kind of problem on the developer's side. That's a really minor thing though. Overall really well done!

This app gets the job done, but has room for improvement. I use google docs a lot for work and using the virtual keyboard with this is a huge challenge. With a keyboard accessory, it is much better. Gmail is great and there is a place to use Talk, although not nearly like chat on a real browser or even a phone. Wish they would quit asking me to upgrade - I can deal with the ads, but the blue screen to upgrade to paid app each time I open the app is overkill and annoying enough that I don't want to dole out any cash for fear of surprises in the paid app...

Very convenient and useful app for anyone who uses Google's services and products, almost like Google Chrome for the iPad (thus making it almost like a Chromebook). My only complaint is that it does not always work very well with iOS, especially features such as text editing and printing. However, for a free app on the iPad (which is often hard to come by if you want something useful), it is something worth downloading (of course if you really wanted it to be like a Chromebook you could just buy one, it would be cheaper than an iPad and most iPhones).

I just must not understand this app very well, considering every time I've tried using it there's a huge ad telling me to upgrade to remove ads, which I would have done already if I wanted the ads gone (really, they don't bother me that much and pestering me about them just gets your app that I'm using to simplify my experience deleted)
So far all I've used on this is gmail, which is good, and Facebook, which besides having to constantly tap back to the newsfeed if you look at ANY line of comments works pretty well. I'm not using anything else, and truthfully I'm never going to use this app again till they remove the nag screen. After all, I don't have to upgrade if I don't want to, and I really hate people who shove their choices in my face.

Recent bug with email drafts

The past month, when you compose or reply to an email, it doesn’t delete the saved drafts when you send, leaving you with several (up to dozens) of drafts in the thread — which you can only delete one by one laboriously. Hilariously the feedback function stopped working as well. Prior to that I loved this app as it was superior to the Apple and Gmail apps for ease of use and breadth of functions. If they don’t fix this I’ll have to revert to the Apple Mail app which is poorly conceived.
New update not working

For the most part app works. Every other update is causing app to auto refresh nonstop. Serious glitch and can't use. Hopefully I won't have to wait as long as before(2 month) before it is corrected. Now it’s been another month!

This app hasn't been updated since 2015, which probably explains why they haven't fixed the glitch in FB where when you try to react to a post, the app suddenly skips down the page several items. Very annoying!

I have two or three other Google apps that I can get into and use with my account very easily BUT this one is so stupid to get into!!! At lest the free addition ... why would anybody want to pay for a headache like this?? I could never upgrade ($) something I can't even sign into ‼️‼️ good God people get it together

The app was fine. I liked enough to buy the upgrade. It is an in app purchase though and you don't get credit if it gets screwed up. I refuse to pay more than once for it and the ads are annoying without it so to the trash it goes. The main page is irritating.

I've been using this app for a year, for the calendar, email and document functions. While the ads have always been intrusive, I've lived with it since it's free and has met my needs. However, in the last week, all the ads are for "girls who always say yes" and "naughty girls" with images of women dancing suggestively and starting to slip off their underwear. I'm sorry but I don't want invitations for porn or for prostitution. Goodbye, G-Whizz, I will never use any product of yours again.

I like the ability to check Gmail and Voice from one app. Don't know why Google can't do that so smoothly! With that said, the ads are VERY intrusive. I understand that they have to have revenue to fund the free app, but this is beyond anything I've seen. It made a 5-star rating into a 3.5.

Okay so,,,, this app does an awful lot. You really can navigate a number of different apps via this one app. That's what I like about it,,, unfortunately that's also what I hate about it. This app does so much that it gets a little nerve racking mainly, and this is just my opinion,,, to much useless stuff. Options you don't need and you look at them anyway then realize... Sshhhhiiiit I'm never gonna get those 5 mins back. If you app is going to do something.... Make it DO something.. Not just a bunch of crap EVERYONE else is already doing.

I used to love this app until a few months ago when anytime I try to open the google voice part of it, it crashes. The screen flickers and you can look at anything, just a mess! Smh. It was great once soon a time, and there isn't a ways to contact them about the app.

Have used this app for a while for Google voice. Works very nicely for texting (I use google hangouts for calling). They are very on top of updates and really take care of crash reports.
By the way, to reload, you need to pull the top of the app screen down a bit.

Good:
Allows you to do all your emails plus access your calendar in Google. Nice to have this in one app.
Not so good:
You can view calendar items and create them but you can't view or modify reminders.
Bad:
No link to your to your Contacts database.
When clicking a link in an email, Hard to get out and back to mail screen.
Sometimes it locks up but will recover.

I like the ease of my Drive at my fingertips as we converted at work. I don't like the ads on such a small viewing window. It's driving me nuts that the directions on how to add your calendar to your home screen say to hit an arrow that doesn't exist. I must like it enough to have been using it for over 2 months, but the little things could make it that much better. Lately it's been freezing on me & has lost emails in progress

I use many of Googles applications on a daily basis. I hadn't really thought too much about how inconvenient it was to have to switch between applications and re-enter password info etc. This new all-in-one Google product allows me to access all of my google apps in the same place. Great idea to consolidate, keep up the great work!

This is the only calendar app I've found that shows all of the events on my google calendar - including those from outside synced calendars. Only drawback on the calendar is a streaming bar at the bottom of the screen that runs continuously. Not sure what the purpose is but it's super distracting. Like having fb and Twitter in one place. Some features don't seem to work like Transit.

Still have the old basic layout of ios 6 when we're on ios 8? This app needs an overhaul before recommending buying the pro version. iPhone 4S IOS 7. Still crashes. When I open app crashes or if app opens I try to open an email app crashes. When I try to paste into calendar notes, locks up and crashes.
From an open email link, the back arrow goes back to inbox and not back to open email.
Does not allow to open links nor videos in Safari. YouTube Video sound will not work within App.

I use Google Apps for business and while I don't have to look at ads, I still think this app is lacking. Gmail is pretty good, but the Calendar app lacks functionality on the iPhone. Why can't I modify reminder times & set recurring events from the iPhone?
There is no reason these mobile platforms should lack the utility of the desktop version. Come on, Google! You can do better.

I like the ability to check Gmail and Voice from one app. Don't know why Google can't do that so smoothly! With that said, the ads are VERY intrusive. I understand that they have to have revenue to fund the free app, but this is beyond anything I've seen. It made a 5-star rating into a 3.5.

Okay so,,,, this app does an awful lot. You really can navigate a number of different apps via this one app. That's what I like about it,,, unfortunately that's also what I hate about it. This app does so much that it gets a little nerve racking mainly, and this is just my opinion,,, to much useless stuff. Options you don't need and you look at them anyway then realize... Sshhhhiiiit I'm never gonna get those 5 mins back. If you app is going to do something.... Make it DO something.. Not just a bunch of crap EVERYONE else is already doing.
Recent bug with email drafts

The past month, when you compose or reply to an email, it doesn’t delete the saved drafts when you send, leaving you with several (up to dozens) of drafts in the thread — which you can only delete one by one laboriously. Hilariously the feedback function stopped working as well. Prior to that I loved this app as it was superior to the Apple and Gmail apps for ease of use and breadth of functions. If they don’t fix this I’ll have to revert to the Apple Mail app which is poorly conceived.

I've been using this app for a year, for the calendar, email and document functions. While the ads have always been intrusive, I've lived with it since it's free and has met my needs. However, in the last week, all the ads are for "girls who always say yes" and "naughty girls" with images of women dancing suggestively and starting to slip off their underwear. I'm sorry but I don't want invitations for porn or for prostitution. Goodbye, G-Whizz, I will never use any product of yours again.

This app hasn't been updated since 2015, which probably explains why they haven't fixed the glitch in FB where when you try to react to a post, the app suddenly skips down the page several items. Very annoying!

The app was fine. I liked enough to buy the upgrade. It is an in app purchase though and you don't get credit if it gets screwed up. I refuse to pay more than once for it and the ads are annoying without it so to the trash it goes. The main page is irritating.

For the most part app works. Every other update is causing app to auto refresh nonstop. Serious glitch and can't use. Hopefully I won't have to wait as long as before(2 month) before it is corrected. Now it’s been another month!

So far it's good. Some improvement needed. Not able to share photos on Facebook while using this app. Translate does not let you type more than 3 short sentences without cutting you off. The main reason i got this app was so i could translate text from Facebook without having to going all the way out and back again. I needed a menu bar and this app has it. That makes it a lot easier and faster to copy and paste and go from Facebook to translate. Ads are annoying but, I guess that's what you get on a free app. I like having everything I use all right there on one menu bar. And you can set up the menu bar in the order you want. All in all it is a great idea and I will continue to use it. If Google could fix the issues I mentioned, it would be a five star app.

Email, browser, and most of the other apps work all right. No email signatures or other bells and whistles. Facebook is very limited as to what it will allow you to do. No way to manage subscriptions to people's feeds or block annoying apps and people. No uploading photos directly, you have to email them to some weird randomly-generated address to post them (mine includes an iffy word that makes me think a spam filter would block it by default). But the worst - messages and posts often get cut off - in several different ways. Sometimes it will only put up half of my post or comment and totally omit the rest. Sometimes if I try to use cut and paste to edit before posting, it will crash the program and when I reopen it, I'm back on newsfeed and my message (however long it may have been) is gone. If I'm writing anything of substance, I have to draft it in my email or Evernote or somewhere else and drop it in ready to go or risk losing some or all of it. I think of it as just a lightweight way to check in on news but not to get anything important done.

The idea behind this app is really good. I like how all my Google apps were put into one place - it was a great idea by the designers! However the functionality and appearance of the apps is not very good. The Gmail app is your old classic version and the Google plus app takes you straight to the Google search page which is something I do not like. You will use this if you are more concerned about time management and accessing all your apps in one place. If you like an app to look good and you want to be able to use the apps to their full potential, don't use this app. If Google would come out with something similar to this I would definitely download it, but I am more focused on the appearance of my apps rather than saving five seconds of my day, which I would be doing anyway.
So download this app if you want all your Google apps in one place, but if you like really nice looking Google apps that have full functionality, then don't download it.
Fantastic idea for an app but it only gets three stars because of its lousy interface.
Good Intentions, but Bad Delivery

I was glad there was finally an app that brings together several elements of Google, and then some, but I find that G-Whizz attempts to gather too many features without perfecting any of them. For the most part, the layout makes sense, but I find that the app struggles with some basic functions. Do not use if you are in a hurry. You are better off with opening the separate app dedicated to what u r trying to do (Gmail, Calendar, Facebook). Here are some issues, to name a few:
- the icon shows a number on my homescreen, but the number doesn't necessarily correspond with the number of unread emails in my Gmail, so I'm not sure what it is idicating. I can't figure out if it is counting something else, or if it's simply incorrect
- clicking a link in an email takes you to another screen, but the app isn't meant for web browsing. There is an option to open the link in Safari, which helps, but I find that it is a slow process and takes too much time. I'd rather just view it on my computer than to have to wait for the app to close, open Safari, etc.
- the Calendar isn't perfect. The default month view requires you to pull down the screen in order to see the last week of the calendar, so it doesn't give an easy month view as good as the GooCal app.
Overall, I have neutral feelings about this app. It needs some improvements to make it more functional.
Works Like It's Supposed to Work

I have a business presence in the social media world as well as a personal presence. This app allows me to be signed in as my business presence on the same phone as I am signed in as my personal presence. This app saves me the time of signing in and out of Facebook, Twitter and Google+ and makes it easy to leave postings appropriate to the applicable account.
Along with the convenience, the app works well too! It isn't buggy like a lot of apps can be; no freezes, no eternally spinning circles, no crashes, etc. The only thing I would say would make it better is to keep this stability while simultaneously adding some of the other functionality of the individual apps, such as sharing, navigation buttons, etc...

Excellnt integrated app. Mail is much better than iPad's basic mail. Google+, Facebook and twitter is faster than their individual apps. Google's core apps work fine as well. If you use google apps already, twitter and Facebook as well, this is the app for you. You can effortlessly switch between apps in this one GUI and your favorite social networks. The back button brings you to the last page (even a different app) that you were at.
I'll be uninstalling 7 applications on my iPad and replace with this one.
It crashed once on me, hence the 4 stars, but I really like replacing many other apps from other makers with this faster more efficient one.

I got this solely for the Calendar, since I needed a Google cal app to keep my family up to date on appts and events. The cal app is good, although it doesn't allow you to set reminders and has no "all day" option for events you enter; you are also stuck selecting times on the hour and half hour instead of being able to manually input event times.
As for the rest, it's nice to have the news, translate, and search functions and maps all in one place, but do we really need Facebook and Twitter on here, too? Plus it's a little off. It keeps showing that I have 13 notifications and I've checked Gmail, Google+, FB, and no notifications show up anywhere! Quite annoying. Summary: a good start but needs a lot of fine tuning. Would be nice to have the Calendar app on its own.

I don't particularly care for this app. I already have Google Earth, Chrome, Gmail and a calendar app that auto syncs with GCal. I was hoping this would put them all in one place, but it really doesn't, they're kind of scattered around here. I entered my government account info, went back later and I had to log in all over again. The Gmail app remembers my account information for two different accounts just fine. Seems like this is a hodgepodge of google stuff, most of which I don't use and doesn't do any of it as well as the individual apps that I use. This seems to me more of Google trying to track everything I do with my phone so they can sell my info to others, which is where I suspect they make most of their money. They started out with "do no evil" and ended up trying to sell out their customers in any way they can.
Glitches Kill an Almost Perfect App

I have used this app for Google Docs, but the glitchy design of the G-Whizz Docs interface makes me want to find new ways to pulverise my iPod. I do not understand how difficult it would be to simply have the keyboard pop up when I click on a word or a space, like a normal iPod interface, instead of constantly popping up when I try to scroll down the page. It's so frustrating to find something that's almost perfect for my documents only to find bad coding throws a monkey wrench into the whole thing and derails the gravy train. If you look further into the reviews you will find that others are also experiencing the glitching problem, so it may be beneficial to take a look into it to help refine your product.
Great friend to Google users

I use a lot of Google products but love the iPad. This application makes it easy for me to integrate my Google services. Most of the applications look and feel like they do on Safari, but they add notifications, which is great. Google Voice is much better on here than the app, because it allows you to get your messages the same way but you get to use a full keyboard as opposed to the pseudo iPhone app with 2x zoom. It is great to have Gmail with notifications without it being mixed in with my corporate Exchange folders. I like the integration of Facebook and Twitter also. This is my one stop shop for all of my social networking and personal messaging needs.
Only app I've found that has Google Maps

It's different than the old Google Maps app (for one thing, the maps feature isn't front and center; it's buried within the app--click "more" to find it hidden amongst the constellation of other Google services) -- and it's (map feature) is slightly redesigned as compared to the old Google Maps app, but at least it's available.
And appears to be just as usable as before, though with mildly unfortunate aesthetic and usability modifications. It will do until Apple wises up (?? will they ??) and reinstalls the "real" Google Maps.
Can't add events to calendar from email

I find the most annoying thing about this app is that it does not allow you to add calendar events sent via email into my google calendar. My husband is constantly sending me events to add to our social calendar (he uses Outlook) and this app does not allow me to easily add them to my google calendar. I have to go to my computer and add them via my gmail, which is not always convenient. The iPad email app can't do it either for some reason, which is why I was hopeful that this app could update my google calendar. I will probably delete this app if a solution is not provided in the next update. I have the free version and I would definitely NOT pay for this when something as simple as a calendar event can't be added to my calendar.
I keep getting logged off but other that, it works!

I tried Vtok to use google talk n it just stopped working right away no matter how many reinstalls or what I did to fix it. I downloaded this app so I could use google talk and it seems to work. I just use it for that although it has a lot of neat features. My only complaint is that it waits a while to log u back in automatically after a reception issue occurs that causes u to be "logged out" so in chats I don't receive all my messages. I haven't found the settings where I can request automatic right away log ins. Also, sometimes my contacts don't show. I do like the feature where I can switch back n forth from gmail n other options (screens). AND it's a free app. :)
Super annoying ads in free version

The free version has super annoying ads, and the dialog boxes, to turn them off, do not work properly. If you choose to turn them off for 24 hours, they stay right where they were...i.e. they do NOT turn off at all. And, every time you open the app, you get an annoying full screen video. Also, it would be nice if there were a single sign on for all of the google apps...as it is, you have to log in to each one separately. However, each app does remembers your ID and password, between sessions. Overall, it is a pretty nice app, without the very annoying ads...but the ads are so annoying that it almost makes you not want to reward them by buying the app.
It gets better and better!

I thought I liked this app as soon as I started using it but the more I use it the better I like it. It remembers the sites you visit and the files you use and actually asks you if you would like to go back.
The Facebook portion is very responsive and seems to load just as well as the Facebook mobile app.
I like Gnail very much and have been using that this weekend in lieu of my regular Mail program.
I was able to modify the menu bar and now the app is quite comfortable.
Try it you will definitely like it

I will change my review if it gets better but right now, it's not working well for me. I tried using Google Calendar, adding events, etc. and displayed some weird graphics where you really can't add a specific time to an event. I then switched from mobile view to desktop view to see if there was any change. I got a message that said basically this may not look right or have every feature. I clicked "okay", then kept getting the same message over and over. I was locked in a loop and had to power off. Glad I haven't bought the $2.99 version. Like I said, I try a few more things but this won't work for me if it remains the same. Last update was 8 months ago, so they seem to not be bothered by how their app is functioning...or not.
Considering the fact that it's a free version...

I really like it. I plan on purchasing the full version just because I enjoy how this "preview" is set up. I find the fact that I can use Google Docs in a mobile version extremely pleasant as well; although I'd be lying if I said that part of it didn't need just a bit of tweaking. Then again, that could just be because I have an older device that seems to have quite a few problems with the newer apps. Still, this is a rather fine app and I'm very satisfied with it thus far. -thumbs up-
Not the best

Facebook is ok.. Most features work but the experience is not as smooth as using regular FB. Gmail is the same as checking through your phone however is you have two accounts this app makes that process easier. Twitter same, google search same.
The major complaint I have is similar to my Facebook complaint which is overall the interface is not smooth and seem less pages get stuck you can't always go back to previous ones and I'd comparing this app to just using all its tools in a normal way ie through your mail box or your FB app or twitter your not getting much more , besides connivence.
With that I give 3 stars

I'd been kind of ignoring this app for a long time, but picked it up a whim during the holiday sale. Glad I did! I totally agree with others, this is definitely what the other Google apps *ought* to have been! Very nice interface, *easily* replaces several others. The one minor request I have is I'd like to see voice incorporated into the Translate, but I'm guessing that has more to do with a limitation Google is setting than it does any kind of problem on the developer's side. That's a really minor thing though. Overall really well done!
good but room for improvement

This app gets the job done, but has room for improvement. I use google docs a lot for work and using the virtual keyboard with this is a huge challenge. With a keyboard accessory, it is much better. Gmail is great and there is a place to use Talk, although not nearly like chat on a real browser or even a phone. Wish they would quit asking me to upgrade - I can deal with the ads, but the blue screen to upgrade to paid app each time I open the app is overkill and annoying enough that I don't want to dole out any cash for fear of surprises in the paid app...
Mostly Great App

Very convenient and useful app for anyone who uses Google's services and products, almost like Google Chrome for the iPad (thus making it almost like a Chromebook). My only complaint is that it does not always work very well with iOS, especially features such as text editing and printing. However, for a free app on the iPad (which is often hard to come by if you want something useful), it is something worth downloading (of course if you really wanted it to be like a Chromebook you could just buy one, it would be cheaper than an iPad and most iPhones).

I just must not understand this app very well, considering every time I've tried using it there's a huge ad telling me to upgrade to remove ads, which I would have done already if I wanted the ads gone (really, they don't bother me that much and pestering me about them just gets your app that I'm using to simplify my experience deleted)
So far all I've used on this is gmail, which is good, and Facebook, which besides having to constantly tap back to the newsfeed if you look at ANY line of comments works pretty well. I'm not using anything else, and truthfully I'm never going to use this app again till they remove the nag screen. After all, I don't have to upgrade if I don't want to, and I really hate people who shove their choices in my face.
