I really wanted to like this app, which provides many different games I would like. But the instructions are barely enough to get you to the first move and there are no instructions for why the app doesn’t “approve” of moves that do follow the instructions. Some moves work inexplicably, and some don’t work, equally inexplicably. I’m sure the technical development is fine, but that’s no help if you don’t understand how to play.

When I switch between apps and come back to Solitaire, I get a pop-up from iOS 14.2 saying that I have pasted my clipboard to the Solitaire app.

The instructions are terrible. I finally had to google individual games to see how to play them. And they are unbelievably hard to win-if anyone ever does. I like a challenge, but I also like knowing I can occasionally be successful. I have to believe these games were set up to purposely have us fail. Save your money.

This is by far the best app for playing solitaire games. There are so many versions of the game from which to choose. All the games challenge the brain. Once in a while there is a glitch where a card won't move but I just start a new game when that happens.

Game doesn’t work right. Scores disappear and cards started moving under the cards they should be on top of. The other games that I have played seem to work fine.

Only one problem: if you leave the game before all four starter cards are started on the tableau, when you come back to the game, the next time a starter card comes up it will not move to the tableau, and you have to start a new game. Otherwise it works great!

I am reasonably adept at cards, know ~5 games of solitaire. Found the explanations/rules indecipherable, stilted, shot thru with misspellings and poor translations it appears. Instructions reference "as shown above" and nothing is shown, just words...it's a KLUDGE from a different product, poorly adapted. Or "as dealt, there is a Jack showing" - so I click back to the game screen, nope, it's a king showing as dealt. Yet another imaginary "as shown." My money (I live on paltry social security) up like vapor. 1st game was fine; 2&3 I mustn't have understood, or they are 1/1000 chance games which I doubt. App:Delete; not throwing good time after bad money. High rating is inexplicable...perhaps if I dug out my Hoyle's Rules it might shed light but I am too disgusted.

This is an App that does exactly what it says it's going to do. Love that I can track my high scores and that I can come back to a game that I had to leave yesterday. Multiple options to choose from for settings. Thoroughly enjoying this app!
Best straight forward solitaire game

Before there were computers, solitaire was played with real cards, this is all the best of that without having to shuffle and deal. Plus has an undo to use with the Bakers Game (also known as Free Cell, if I remember correctly) - theoretically all games are solvable so sometimes it take a LOT of trial and error. Lots of different games to play.

Not happy about the incidents need to display requests for a review. This app takes up time and permeates aggravation with the need to get the warm-fuzzy like it's part of social media.

I love this app , however there are a few glitches that annoy me. The landscape version does not lock in place, so the screen moves up and down if the touch is not exact.
I would also prefer to have the option of having the cards dealt from the left or right side of the screen.
Otherwise it is my favorite so far of such games. I just wish these minor things would be fixed.

I downloaded this app because I was looking for a solitaire game that used a more random method of shuffling the cards. I see the same result of shuffles on your game as I do on all the other solitare games, not true random shuffle.

No annoying ads and no need to connect to the Internet. A lot of fun options but very challenging. For pyramid and golf, I wish it would let you reshuffle and look through your discarded cards to create 13 or match with a card 1 less or 1 more of its numerical value. Probably could have won a lot more games that way

I never have any problems with this ap. This Scorpion version is one of the few that allows you to put any suit on a card. It's way more fun when you can actually win half the time.

There are a number of different games available. Can't be beat for the price. Would like to see games be more configurable (for example, # of times through the deck in Pyramid). Would also like the ability to switch games after a win without affecting stats.

I hope the new upgrade fixes the crash problems, but I have to say the applause when you win is a little weird. It's solitaire, to pass time, it's fun, it relieves boredom, I usually play during commercials, and in waiting rooms, It's still fun just a little weird. The one suggestion I'd like to see is this: include a larger background! The background is an image that is too short and so you always go beyond it. Is it that hard to use a longer image?

1. Stop pestering people for reviews.
2. Improve the help with examples.
3. Other similar apps have less restrictive game rules and are more fun to play since you can win more often.
4. Deleting the app since all I play is Free Cell and for the previous reasons.

I love these games, but the cards are now way too small since the update, and there is no option to change the size of the cards. I have difficulty with my vision--the cards were bigger in the former version, but now they're so small I have trouble playing, especially 40 thieves (my favorite!). Please consider making the cards a larger size.

This is the best Solitaire app that I have seen so far. It has a simple interface with clean graphics. It responds well and accurately to the touch, so it is easy to play for a person that has big thumbs, like me. There's customization of what types of card decks, backs, and backgrounds to choose from. In addition, it offers ten types of Solitaire games. The app itself has no background music, but music on the iPod can be played instead. There are some really minor bugs, like time increasing a little bit when the app is running in the background, but nothing major. Also, some card decks have very small text and are hard to read if the device doesn't have retina support--easy fix is to not use the deck, of course. I personally would like to see more types of games on it, like Clock Solitaire, but this app is pretty good as it is right now. Overall, this is a clean and solid app for fans of Solitaire.

The good - this ap is very addicting. I even play while watching TV in the background.
The bad - it crashes often. I try to go from one game to another (Free Cell to Klondike, for example) and the ap crashes to wallpaper. It also "lags" - BADLY. I try to drag one card to another and it will "snag", making the whole background slide instead of just the card I'm trying to move. Sometimes leaving the card sitting in the middle of the screen.
One last "bad" - I have trouble accepting the randomness of the hands that are dealt. I often get all 7 face up cards on Klondike as the same suite, or all 4 kings, or a "Royal Flush" as it were. Its like playing with a poorly shuffled deck. I've had all 4 Aces show up on the same column. Of course this is possible but not quite as frequently as it happens...

The purchased version of is is well worth the cost. There are a good variety of games ranging in skill requirements. No glitches so far in well over a year's playing.
One improvement that would be welcomed would be a quick "deal another hand" option ( without the need to go into the menu.)
Another option would be a suggested move option.

I recently purchased this solitaire application and I really like the variety of solitaire games for the price. I've really enjoyed playing the scorpion and pyramid; however, after "winning" a few of the scorpion games, the timer would continue and the application wouldn't register the games as wins (I haven't won a pyramid game yet!). I tried to read the "help" information to see if I had to do something special but nothing was mentioned about how to "officially" win a game. Not winning a pyramid game yet doesn't bother me because I know some games are near impossible to win (i.e. round-the-clock solitaire). As far as I'm concerned, if the problem mentioned above was fixed, I would up the rating to 5 stars.
More than just Klondike!

There are quite a few Solitaire games that share the same name as this app, but this app has more than just the Klondike solitaire game. It's got my favorites Spider, Free Cell, Pyramid, and Golf. Plus they have more that I haven't played. There is one minor issue I have with the game is that the game you play for example, Klondike is a 3 card draw only and Spider has all 4 suits to play. Apart from those two that I can see, the game is perfect!

It is nice to have some card games when one wants to relax. Also very enjoyable when on the plane. You can change board colors, card colors, etc. as well as move the cards easily when playing. The only thing which can be frustrating is the entire board can move instead of the cards. It may be because I strictly use an iPad. Thanks for the entertainment.

I really like this app. The graphics are nice and the games are very user friendly. I would really like to see an "end game" for when there are no more moves. That would give each game an ending so you don't feel like you're missing something. That way, if you DON'T see something indicating that there are no more moves, you know FOR SURE you need to keep looking for a solution. Other than that, everything else seems fine! Keep up the great work!

Speed, loading and responsiveness has increased greatly from the previous update. But might I suggest calibrating the touch points of the cards? They occasionally don't respond, or will stop responding during a drag. Another thing, could you extend the background to the bottom? That's all, keep up the great work! Love the game, and I will keep playing as long as you keep making it better!

This app has an active developer, so there are updates and bug fixes that are available at a decent rate. There is a good selection of games, more than some other options. There aren't enough issues to cause a negative review - earlier versions weren't great, but the quality of the app is continuously improving.

The game is addicting but whenever you hit "stats" you can't get back to the game. Have to delete app and reload.
I use to be able to see time but can't anymore. I would like that feature back. Also the cards seem staged. In real world you do not see all 7s, 8s, 9s, etc in play on columns. Would like cards to be more random.

The new release appears to have fixed the major bug of the last release. Many great games. I have spent many hours playing many of the games.
I give only 4 stars, however, due to two issues I know of:
(1) After winning and a new setup of the game is displayed, going to the menu and requesting a different game counts the current game as a loss. One should only lose a game when abandoning it after making at least one move.
(2) Use the AUTO feature with care. In some games there are multiple paths it can take (40 thieves, for example). If you don't like it"s choice and UNDO moves, the program will often 'lock' the cards undone and you will not be able to move them.

Need to clear your head and de-stress this is a great app. Lots of games and fun. It does still have some idiosyncratic things going on - like cards going under the card you are trying to place it on top of and the whole screen moving when you mean to be sliding just a card - but on the whole, it's lots of undemanding fun.

The instructions are terrible. I finally had to google individual games to see how to play them. And they are unbelievably hard to win-if anyone ever does. I like a challenge, but I also like knowing I can occasionally be successful. I have to believe these games were set up to purposely have us fail. Save your money.
Sharp graphics and smooth animation

Overall the graphics are very sharp and the animation is very smooth. My only gripes are that the menu bar at the bottom is too intrusitve and should be hidden. Also if I we could adjust card sizes to be bigger in landscape mode it would be even better. Otherwise a solid solitare game/

I love this app , however there are a few glitches that annoy me. The landscape version does not lock in place, so the screen moves up and down if the touch is not exact.
I would also prefer to have the option of having the cards dealt from the left or right side of the screen.
Otherwise it is my favorite so far of such games. I just wish these minor things would be fixed.

I have really enjoye this solitaire app. I love the variety of board and card chooses and the tasteful designs. The instructions are good. If they did anything to improve it, they could give more detail and description on the instructions for the harder games. That would help the less familiar players. Signed, very happy customer.

I love these games, but the cards are now way too small since the update, and there is no option to change the size of the cards. I have difficulty with my vision--the cards were bigger in the former version, but now they're so small I have trouble playing, especially 40 thieves (my favorite!). Please consider making the cards a larger size.

I agree with many of the other reviewers, that after the update the game has become sluggish with each move. I thought that something was wrong with my iPad but I'm glad to know its the game because it will be fixed.
Also, the buttons for help, auto, and undo are too close together and when I'm trying to go fast, I hit the wrong one.
Crashes and is tiny

In some ways, it's fun. I like it NOT being part of the game center. I look for games that aren't tied to that (If i was allowed to uninstall that from my touch i would), in other ways...it crashes frequently. and the cards are tiny and hard to see, and there's no way to make them larger.
The only other issue I have is that many of the games seem 'rigged' so you can't win. I know some solitaire games are hard to win. Yet I've had other computer versions of Aces Up or Pyramid or Golf and can win, yet on this one I've played dozens of games and never won a single one.
You guys can tweak the algorhithms, it's more fun to play if you win every so often.
That said, it's a 99 cent game and I've certainly gotten that much amusement out of it.

after reading a bunch of reviews I decided to buy this app.
with a zillion solitaire apps, perhaps this one was a mistake?
there are a few issues: the background moves when you swipe it (for no apparent reason or way to lock it).
no single tap play; double tap or drag only, with drag play not consistent or intuitive.
the biggest issue is that when you play some games in landscape (iPad2) they don't totally fit on the screen. unacceptable.
Trouble dragging at times

I have this app on both my iPad and my iPhone. Many times I have had difficulty dragging cards to their spots. The screen will move instead of the cards. Or on the iPhone cards from the deck end up behind the card in play. When that happens, I have to start a new game.
The ages are fun, easy to use and a great way to "waste" time!

This is by far the best app for playing solitaire games. There are so many versions of the game from which to choose. All the games challenge the brain. Once in a while there is a glitch where a card won't move but I just start a new game when that happens.

I like this app. The actual look of the cards makes the game enjoyable to play. The cards move easily and the appearance is very good. The variety of games and the explanation of how to play them is very healpful. I would have given it a "5" except it will quit on me every now and then and won't return to the game I was playing. This is irritating when you have a good game going.
But overall, it is a great app.

Only one problem: if you leave the game before all four starter cards are started on the tableau, when you come back to the game, the next time a starter card comes up it will not move to the tableau, and you have to start a new game. Otherwise it works great!
A little glitch

I love this game except it has a little glitch. When I look at my scores the " done" button is at the bottom behind the score board so I can't get back to the game without escaping the game. This just started a little while ago. Before that it didn't happen.

I really enjoyed the three games I played on a regular basis but for some reason they flipped out on me. I really would like to start playing them again. The three grs I played were Free Cell, Single Solitaire and Classical Splitaire.

No annoying ads and no need to connect to the Internet. A lot of fun options but very challenging. For pyramid and golf, I wish it would let you reshuffle and look through your discarded cards to create 13 or match with a card 1 less or 1 more of its numerical value. Probably could have won a lot more games that way

I hope the new upgrade fixes the crash problems, but I have to say the applause when you win is a little weird. It's solitaire, to pass time, it's fun, it relieves boredom, I usually play during commercials, and in waiting rooms, It's still fun just a little weird. The crash problems I was experiencing seem to be fixed.

Enjoyable The games would be more enjoyable if you could simply tap the card to make it move. This can only be done when playing on the aces. I have a free version of solitaire downloaded with this simple tap-method and it is much easier to play. Sometimes it is difficult to move several cards at once and the motion must be repeated several times.

Solitaire (ver 1.30) plays pretty well, with good scoring opportunities. The biggest drawback I've found is a tendency to repeat games, after you've paused a game. If you're playing a game, stop to do something else, then pick up where you left off, the game won't let you restart if you get stumped. Choosing restart causes the game to deal a hand for a new game, instead, AND, it's always the SAME game.
Has a Bug

Like the app overall. However, every 4th or 5th game cards played on the tableau are placed underneath the up card, and subsequent cards alternate between on top and underneath the last exposed card. This makes seeing what you've already played impossible. If they can fix this bug, I will enjoy it much more.

One of the first games that I play in the morning. And then any chance I have. Sometimes the cards are dealt underneath the face cards or two cards are dealt at a time, but I just deal another game and it fixes itself
I just got forty thieves but it has a bug. It deals more than eight aces.

I'm enjoying this app. I want to recommend the developers add one improvement: tell us when there are no more moves left! I hate wasting time at the end of a game searching to see if there any any moves I missed. An alert telling me that there are no moves left would reduce my frustration. Thanks!

A great tool for the senior users to keep challenging themselves with a familiar game not overloaded with confusing distractions to of advertising and other social media stuff.
They then could get the multiuser version to bond with younger family users who could stay closer to their elders.

Good app...until the update

I installed the update, and then the app wouldn't work right anymore. Cards stacked up strangely, and in some cases when moving stacks, they were moved completely off the screen. Tried rebooting, and that didn't help. So I've restored the previous version, which still works fine. Wouldn't want to do without it! Running iOS 4.2.1 on an iPod touch.
Crashes, buggy, too hard

It crashes a lot (and loses all the preferences). It has a number of bugs with touch mode on (cards getting stuck, screen moving). I bought this for the variety of games, but I am yet to win a single game of the later ones. Spider, for example, should be the standard 3 rounds of going through the cards, not 1.
I think I'll go back to the free solitaire app which at least didn't crash and works with Game Center (I'd happily take my money back too!)

The only thing I would like is if Spider had a pause button for the time. It could automatically restart when you make a move. Also, if I leave the game and come back, it gives me some message, but it's not a big deal. Otherwise, the game is a joy to play! I'm totally addicted!

Unbelievably poor instructions

I really wanted to like this app, which provides many different games I would like. But the instructions are barely enough to get you to the first move and there are no instructions for why the app doesn’t “approve” of moves that do follow the instructions. Some moves work inexplicably, and some don’t work, equally inexplicably. I’m sure the technical development is fine, but that’s no help if you don’t understand how to play.

When I switch between apps and come back to Solitaire, I get a pop-up from iOS 14.2 saying that I have pasted my clipboard to the Solitaire app.

Ripped off / not ready for prime time

I am reasonably adept at cards, know ~5 games of solitaire. Found the explanations/rules indecipherable, stilted, shot thru with misspellings and poor translations it appears. Instructions reference "as shown above" and nothing is shown, just words...it's a KLUDGE from a different product, poorly adapted. Or "as dealt, there is a Jack showing" - so I click back to the game screen, nope, it's a king showing as dealt. Yet another imaginary "as shown." My money (I live on paltry social security) up like vapor. 1st game was fine; 2&3 I mustn't have understood, or they are 1/1000 chance games which I doubt. App:Delete; not throwing good time after bad money. High rating is inexplicable...perhaps if I dug out my Hoyle's Rules it might shed light but I am too disgusted.

Best straight forward solitaire game

Before there were computers, solitaire was played with real cards, this is all the best of that without having to shuffle and deal. Plus has an undo to use with the Bakers Game (also known as Free Cell, if I remember correctly) - theoretically all games are solvable so sometimes it take a LOT of trial and error. Lots of different games to play.

Not happy about the incidents need to display requests for a review. This app takes up time and permeates aggravation with the need to get the warm-fuzzy like it's part of social media.

I downloaded this app because I was looking for a solitaire game that used a more random method of shuffling the cards. I see the same result of shuffles on your game as I do on all the other solitare games, not true random shuffle.

There are a number of different games available. Can't be beat for the price. Would like to see games be more configurable (for example, # of times through the deck in Pyramid). Would also like the ability to switch games after a win without affecting stats.

It's solitaire, to pass time, it's fun, it relieves boredom, I usually play during commercials, and in waiting rooms, It's still fun just a little weird. I've been playing this game for years, with no complaints (except that the former icon was far better).
The one suggestion I'd like to see is this: include a larger background! The background is an image that is too short and so you always go beyond it. Is it that hard to use a longer image?

I love these games, but the cards are now way too small since the update, and there is no option to change the size of the cards. I have difficulty with my vision--the cards were bigger in the former version, but now they're so small I have trouble playing, especially 40 thieves (my favorite!). Please consider making the cards a larger size.

This is the best Solitaire app that I have seen so far. It has a simple interface with clean graphics. It responds well and accurately to the touch, so it is easy to play for a person that has big thumbs, like me. There's customization of what types of card decks, backs, and backgrounds to choose from. In addition, it offers ten types of Solitaire games. The app itself has no background music, but music on the iPod can be played instead. There are some really minor bugs, like time increasing a little bit when the app is running in the background, but nothing major. Also, some card decks have very small text and are hard to read if the device doesn't have retina support--easy fix is to not use the deck, of course. I personally would like to see more types of games on it, like Clock Solitaire, but this app is pretty good as it is right now. Overall, this is a clean and solid app for fans of Solitaire.

The good - this ap is very addicting. I even play while watching TV in the background.
The bad - it crashes often. I try to go from one game to another (Free Cell to Klondike, for example) and the ap crashes to wallpaper. It also "lags" - BADLY. I try to drag one card to another and it will "snag", making the whole background slide instead of just the card I'm trying to move. Sometimes leaving the card sitting in the middle of the screen.
One last "bad" - I have trouble accepting the randomness of the hands that are dealt. I often get all 7 face up cards on Klondike as the same suite, or all 4 kings, or a "Royal Flush" as it were. Its like playing with a poorly shuffled deck. I've had all 4 Aces show up on the same column. Of course this is possible but not quite as frequently as it happens...

The purchased version of is is well worth the cost. There are a good variety of games ranging in skill requirements. No glitches so far in well over a year's playing.
One improvement that would be welcomed would be a quick "deal another hand" option ( without the need to go into the menu.)
Another option would be a suggested move option.

I recently purchased this solitaire application and I really like the variety of solitaire games for the price. I've really enjoyed playing the scorpion and pyramid; however, after "winning" a few of the scorpion games, the timer would continue and the application wouldn't register the games as wins (I haven't won a pyramid game yet!). I tried to read the "help" information to see if I had to do something special but nothing was mentioned about how to "officially" win a game. Not winning a pyramid game yet doesn't bother me because I know some games are near impossible to win (i.e. round-the-clock solitaire). As far as I'm concerned, if the problem mentioned above was fixed, I would up the rating to 5 stars.
More than just Klondike!

There are quite a few Solitaire games that share the same name as this app, but this app has more than just the Klondike solitaire game. It's got my favorites Spider, Free Cell, Pyramid, and Golf. Plus they have more that I haven't played. There is one minor issue I have with the game is that the game you play for example, Klondike is a 3 card draw only and Spider has all 4 suits to play. Apart from those two that I can see, the game is perfect!

It is nice to have some card games when one wants to relax. Also very enjoyable when on the plane. You can change board colors, card colors, etc. as well as move the cards easily when playing. The only thing which can be frustrating is the entire board can move instead of the cards. It may be because I strictly use an iPad. Thanks for the entertainment.

I really like this app. The graphics are nice and the games are very user friendly. I would really like to see an "end game" for when there are no more moves. That would give each game an ending so you don't feel like you're missing something. That way, if you DON'T see something indicating that there are no more moves, you know FOR SURE you need to keep looking for a solution. Other than that, everything else seems fine! Keep up the great work!

Speed, loading and responsiveness has increased greatly from the previous update. But might I suggest calibrating the touch points of the cards? They occasionally don't respond, or will stop responding during a drag. Another thing, could you extend the background to the bottom? That's all, keep up the great work! Love the game, and I will keep playing as long as you keep making it better!

This app has an active developer, so there are updates and bug fixes that are available at a decent rate. There is a good selection of games, more than some other options. There aren't enough issues to cause a negative review - earlier versions weren't great, but the quality of the app is continuously improving.
Best straight forward solitaire game

Before there were computers, solitaire was played with real cards, this is all the best of that without having to shuffle and deal. Plus has an undo to use with the Bakers Game (also known as Free Cell, if I remember correctly) - theoretically all games are solvable so sometimes it take a LOT of trial and error. Lots of different games to play.

The game is addicting but whenever you hit "stats" you can't get back to the game. Have to delete app and reload.
I use to be able to see time but can't anymore. I would like that feature back. Also the cards seem staged. In real world you do not see all 7s, 8s, 9s, etc in play on columns. Would like cards to be more random.

The new release appears to have fixed the major bug of the last release. Many great games. I have spent many hours playing many of the games.
I give only 4 stars, however, due to two issues I know of:
(1) After winning and a new setup of the game is displayed, going to the menu and requesting a different game counts the current game as a loss. One should only lose a game when abandoning it after making at least one move.
(2) Use the AUTO feature with care. In some games there are multiple paths it can take (40 thieves, for example). If you don't like it"s choice and UNDO moves, the program will often 'lock' the cards undone and you will not be able to move them.

Need to clear your head and de-stress this is a great app. Lots of games and fun. It does still have some idiosyncratic things going on - like cards going under the card you are trying to place it on top of and the whole screen moving when you mean to be sliding just a card - but on the whole, it's lots of undemanding fun.

The instructions are terrible. I finally had to google individual games to see how to play them. And they are unbelievably hard to win-if anyone ever does. I like a challenge, but I also like knowing I can occasionally be successful. I have to believe these games were set up to purposely have us fail. Save your money.
Sharp graphics and smooth animation

Overall the graphics are very sharp and the animation is very smooth. My only gripes are that the menu bar at the bottom is too intrusitve and should be hidden. Also if I we could adjust card sizes to be bigger in landscape mode it would be even better. Otherwise a solid solitare game/

I love this app , however there are a few glitches that annoy me. The landscape version does not lock in place, so the screen moves up and down if the touch is not exact.
I would also prefer to have the option of having the cards dealt from the left or right side of the screen.
Otherwise it is my favorite so far of such games. I just wish these minor things would be fixed.

I have really enjoye this solitaire app. I love the variety of board and card chooses and the tasteful designs. The instructions are good. If they did anything to improve it, they could give more detail and description on the instructions for the harder games. That would help the less familiar players. Signed, very happy customer.

I agree with many of the other reviewers, that after the update the game has become sluggish with each move. I thought that something was wrong with my iPad but I'm glad to know its the game because it will be fixed.
Also, the buttons for help, auto, and undo are too close together and when I'm trying to go fast, I hit the wrong one.
Crashes and is tiny

In some ways, it's fun. I like it NOT being part of the game center. I look for games that aren't tied to that (If i was allowed to uninstall that from my touch i would), in other ways...it crashes frequently. and the cards are tiny and hard to see, and there's no way to make them larger.
The only other issue I have is that many of the games seem 'rigged' so you can't win. I know some solitaire games are hard to win. Yet I've had other computer versions of Aces Up or Pyramid or Golf and can win, yet on this one I've played dozens of games and never won a single one.
You guys can tweak the algorhithms, it's more fun to play if you win every so often.
That said, it's a 99 cent game and I've certainly gotten that much amusement out of it.

after reading a bunch of reviews I decided to buy this app.
with a zillion solitaire apps, perhaps this one was a mistake?
there are a few issues: the background moves when you swipe it (for no apparent reason or way to lock it).
no single tap play; double tap or drag only, with drag play not consistent or intuitive.
the biggest issue is that when you play some games in landscape (iPad2) they don't totally fit on the screen. unacceptable.
Trouble dragging at times

I have this app on both my iPad and my iPhone. Many times I have had difficulty dragging cards to their spots. The screen will move instead of the cards. Or on the iPhone cards from the deck end up behind the card in play. When that happens, I have to start a new game.
The ages are fun, easy to use and a great way to "waste" time!

This is by far the best app for playing solitaire games. There are so many versions of the game from which to choose. All the games challenge the brain. Once in a while there is a glitch where a card won't move but I just start a new game when that happens.

I like this app. The actual look of the cards makes the game enjoyable to play. The cards move easily and the appearance is very good. The variety of games and the explanation of how to play them is very healpful. I would have given it a "5" except it will quit on me every now and then and won't return to the game I was playing. This is irritating when you have a good game going.
But overall, it is a great app.

Only one problem: if you leave the game before all four starter cards are started on the tableau, when you come back to the game, the next time a starter card comes up it will not move to the tableau, and you have to start a new game. Otherwise it works great!
A little glitch

I love this game except it has a little glitch. When I look at my scores the " done" button is at the bottom behind the score board so I can't get back to the game without escaping the game. This just started a little while ago. Before that it didn't happen.

No annoying ads and no need to connect to the Internet. A lot of fun options but very challenging. For pyramid and golf, I wish it would let you reshuffle and look through your discarded cards to create 13 or match with a card 1 less or 1 more of its numerical value. Probably could have won a lot more games that way

Enjoyable The games would be more enjoyable if you could simply tap the card to make it move. This can only be done when playing on the aces. I have a free version of solitaire downloaded with this simple tap-method and it is much easier to play. Sometimes it is difficult to move several cards at once and the motion must be repeated several times.

Solitaire (ver 1.30) plays pretty well, with good scoring opportunities. The biggest drawback I've found is a tendency to repeat games, after you've paused a game. If you're playing a game, stop to do something else, then pick up where you left off, the game won't let you restart if you get stumped. Choosing restart causes the game to deal a hand for a new game, instead, AND, it's always the SAME game.

Like the app overall. However, every 4th or 5th game cards played on the tableau are placed underneath the up card, and subsequent cards alternate between on top and underneath the last exposed card. This makes seeing what you've already played impossible. If they can fix this bug, I will enjoy it much more.

I'm enjoying this app. I want to recommend the developers add one improvement: tell us when there are no more moves left! I hate wasting time at the end of a game searching to see if there any any moves I missed. An alert telling me that there are no moves left would reduce my frustration. Thanks!

A great tool for the senior users to keep challenging themselves with a familiar game not overloaded with confusing distractions to of advertising and other social media stuff.
They then could get the multiuser version to bond with younger family users who could stay closer to their elders.

Good app...until the update

I installed the update, and then the app wouldn't work right anymore. Cards stacked up strangely, and in some cases when moving stacks, they were moved completely off the screen. Tried rebooting, and that didn't help. So I've restored the previous version, which still works fine. Wouldn't want to do without it! Running iOS 4.2.1 on an iPod touch.
Crashes, buggy, too hard

It crashes a lot (and loses all the preferences). It has a number of bugs with touch mode on (cards getting stuck, screen moving). I bought this for the variety of games, but I am yet to win a single game of the later ones. Spider, for example, should be the standard 3 rounds of going through the cards, not 1.
I think I'll go back to the free solitaire app which at least didn't crash and works with Game Center (I'd happily take my money back too!)

The only thing I would like is if Spider had a pause button for the time. It could automatically restart when you make a move. Also, if I leave the game and come back, it gives me some message, but it's not a big deal. Otherwise, the game is a joy to play! I'm totally addicted!
