The airline and frequent flyer program is truly great. But don’t reserve a hotel on their system if you’re going to Asia. The hotel app only allows you to reserve the hotel for the day of the flight although you land in Asia a day or two later. Some hotels will work with you others will cancel your reservation and keep your money.

I am a silver medallion member and entitled to a free suitcase. For some reason now when I check in, I am continually forced to pay $30. When I do this I then must call and ask for a refund. It is very annoying.

Until just a month ago, I was a loyal Premiere Gold United customer. I have to travel for work and it seemed the Delta schedules were better for me so I decided to give them a try. Delta has been great... but this isn’t a review about Delta, this is a review about the Delta app. Being used to United, I didn’t like this app at first. It took me a little time to get used to it, but I have to say that now that I’ve been using it for about a month, it’s great! I really enjoy it. It seems fast, allows me to quickly request cabin upgrades, searching and purchasing flights is incredible easy and well designed for a small phone screen. I really love it! So why only 4 stars? There’s really only one reason. I have no idea how to track how I’m doing toward reaching status without having to do a lot of math and use third-party apps to calculate my MQM and MQD for the trips I book. This is the only place where the United app is better. On United, each trip tells me specifically how manyMQMs and MQDs I’ll accrue for that trip. It also has a tool that looks at all my booked trips and will tell me how I’m tracking toward elite status based on future trips. This is a killer feature. Please, please consider adding this to the Delta app. If you add this feature, I’ll happily change my rating to 5 stars.

One of the reasons I obtained the Delta Skymiles American Express Card is to avoid paying for the first piece of luggage, but the site charged me $30! Now I have to request a reimbursement when I go to the airport. I’m not happy about this experience!

I have long flew Delta Airlines but only recently decided to use their app. I HIGHLY recommend anyone who flies Delta but doesn’t have an account with them make one. The app is very clean in its presentation and very easy to navigate. Checking in for a flight has never been easier and I certainly intend to fly Delta more often in the future and take full advantage of their SkyMiles program!

I just spoke with rep regarding getting assistance in Atlanta. Also, I said I have to pay for my bag and she said it was already paid for. But when I went to check in I did not see that I had a bag check in. Poor service. So i just paid for the bag. Sloppy on reps part.
One hour wait

We boarded the plane and then there was a mechanical Situation and we waited one hour on the plane before take off. I was on a tight schedule for the day and Barely made it happen. The hour wait was awful. I was thankful there was not a serious problem with the flight but it was awful having to wait for an hour when I had a serous time constraint for the day. It’s going to be Awhile before I fly Delta again.

Dean Martin. 9069589027 When I call the diamond customer service line it no longer knows me from my (same) phone number and I have to find/enter the account number or state it to the service provider When I try to check in to return to USA I NEVER can. Although a full permanent resident it always requires a return departure from USA flight. Now since today even the app has forgotten me and I have to enter all of my personal info when flying. For 2020 I am switching to American Airlines.

Our plane was delayed in Albany due a mechanical issue. We arrived at Atlanta and we ran to our connecting gate. We arrived after running the whole way and the agent had just closed the door and refused to even call to the plane to see if they would open it for us. An entire plane of people were missing or just barely making connections and Delta could not even help two of those people get on their flight. Horrible customer service. I will remember this in the future.

We were delayed because of mechanical problems, reticketed after a stay in a hotel. Had to go through TSA and ticketing again. LOST OUR SEATS AND COMFORT+ ....never do Delta again! Never EVER RECOMMEND THEM!!!

I’m so impressed by this app because dealing with airlines is typically a nightmare. The interface is easy to use, flight updates are frequent, checked bag updates are timely, there are multiple ways to contact support—I once even changed my flight via text without ever having to call Delta. I’m a huge fan of this App!!!

I am so beyond upset and frustrated with Delta Airlines. I bought a round trip flight back to Oregon for thanksgiving, already paying over $300 to get home for the holidays. Unexpectedly, on Tuesday before Thanksgiving my uncle passed away. I took the first one way flight I could find to get home to my family. I was unaware that because I missed the first flight, my return flight was cancelled as well EVEN THOUGH I HAD ALREADY PAID FOR IT, i did not receive anything via email or phone stating that my flight home was cancelled. I spoke to 6 different people who had absolutely no empathy. Even after providing the funeral home information, one representative stated that my story had changed.. she stated that I mentioned in the first call that it was my father passed away, which I NEVER said (check the recording.) I was in tears trying to get on a flight that I HAD ALREADY PAID FOR and spoke with 6 horrible, rude representatives all lacking empathy. I will be sure to NEVER fly delta again after this horrible and emotionally draining experience and I will tell everyone I know, including my company with over 30,000 employees to never fly Delta again. I am absolutely horrified that this is the way you treat your customers.

This Delta App does help. I do get frustrated with the App when I am checking in my entire family. At some point the app ask you to check each person flying for passport information. If you hit the wrong button you get kicked all the way back to the start of the app.

I fly first class on delta past 6 trips all have been ok horribly old planes no tv’s even when the app says it’s a new plane I still get on one old as American Airlines flights I suggest you fly continental or Spirit last flight with them the plane was huge very roomy and comfortable delta has lost its appeal plus I get my flight canceled and they don’t even cover a room when you fly first class horrible service horrible company

Doesn’t update gate information in a timely manner. Almost missed a flight because it sent us to wrong terminal in Atlanta. Always check the departures on the board at the airport. Good for pre check in and not much else.

The web site has my departure set at Atlanta i fly out of Ft Meyer a recent jump back to atl caused a major issue as the atl was not noticed until arrival at the airport causing additional out of pocket expense of 500 and arrival in the middle of a snow storm we are equally as culpable yet a jacked up price was offered to get me where I needed to go delta held me hostage what else can I say have always spoke highly of delta however will now consider other carriers in 2020.

Tried opening app and as the Apple employee said it hijacked my phone making it unable to answer or make calls or open any other app. I was stuck like my phone looking at deltas opening screen. I deleted this app quick as I could after Apple helped reset my phone. Smart nice people at Apple.
Forces log in every time

I have used the delta app ever since it came out and Thor it was great. However about a week ago. The app suddenly started forcing me to log in every time I open it. Even if it is open and I navigate away geom it say to check a text when I come back I have to log in again. On an average trip waiting at a gate this could be 10 times in as many minutes. Incredibly stupid and angering. Some idiot in security probably thought this would be a great upgrade but he must not travel much. Have deleted the app for now.

Even after your flight is finished, the app will not remove the notification of your flight. There is no way to delete the notification and I had to delete the app.

If you try to buy plane tickets with an Apple Card using Apple Pay, it shows an error. I had to switch to paying with credit card number (same Apple card) which is less secure and gives less cash back. :(

App is just OK. For frequent DL travelers such as myself, don’t need pretty colors, just useful info. One downgrade with version 5 is that you can no longer see how many “seats remaining “ for upgrade possibilities. Of course you may be able to backdoor that by performing a phantom booking to see available seats, but what a hassle.

I have been flying Delta since it acquired Western Airlines back in the 70s. I have had my problems with Delta Airlines, such as having them give my seat away while I was transferring terminals when I was on an emergency trip home as my mother was dying. That stunt allowed me to arrive 4 hours after my mother had lost consciousness for the last time. Delta of course apologized and gave me miles - Which meant nothing . But - the most important thing they did was updated their training manual to re-emphasize the importance of getting emergency traveling passengers to their proper gate and proper flight. Do not give seats away until you have checked all arriving flights and know there are no transferring passengers unaccounted for. I understand Delta is a big corporation and run for profit. They do their best. When I complain I have an actual email back in record time. Their aircraft is clean, modern and well-maintained. When I am overseas I trust the Delta planes. So what if they’re late? Their air miles are hard to obtain and expensive when you go to use them. But overall Delta’s people care about you, their aircraft is well-maintained and safe. The food is low satisfactory but above others. Their alcohol is great, Major labels, no off brands like Alaska. I Fly Delta because I trust them.

I am loyal to very few large companies on this planet. My loyalty often winds up local whenever possible. However, with Delta, I feel as proud to be a loyalist as I do with a local business. They treat me right. When you earn status, IT MEANS SOMETHING! I capitalize that because with another major airline, my status I earned that was similar when I lived elsewhere and flew them a lot did nothing for me in comparison. I could go on and on about why I love Delta, but I’ll just end with the fact that they really try. They’ve improved. They’re staff is overwhelmingly good, and for a huge business like this, that is not easy. I’m a Delta loyalist for the rest of my days. The app works seamlessly by the way. I am supposed to mention that huh? Truly perfect app that will tell me right when my bags are loaded on the plane, at baggage claim, the whole 9’yards. Thanks Delta for being a good company. I hope this review makes someone happy, because I run a business and can’t even express the amount of people in your employ that have impressed and delighted me in my travels. Cheers! In fairness, there are many things this app does right - however, the plethora of things that are broken and that have been for years now merits a strongly worded inditement. The app consistently crashes with airport WiFi. Delta blames this on the local airport’s WIfI- but for a Multi-year Diamond Medallion with multiple million miles who sees hundreds of airports each year - it can’t always be the airports wifi - sorry Delta, that Dog don’t hunt! Also, the app crashes consistently (usually while I’m in the TSA line). For me, it crashed 1/2 the time I tried to use it in the last year (I wrote it down each time it crashed). This is unacceptable! You can change the amount of information stored on each device vs what has to be downloaded (and which is the likely cause of these crashes). For example, once my boarding pass has been downloaded - why does it need to be redone loaded every time I log on?? A simple byte of info indicating a change vs no change could flag it and give me the option of downloading an updated boarding pass or not - this would prevent it from crashing at the most in-opportune time (at the TSA line). Yes - I can bypass by taking a screenshot or saving it to my wallet - but most of the time I am running. If I’ve already downloaded my boarding pass - don’t make me log on and connect to get it again! I know you can fix this. Please do!!

Terrible communication and unorganized system

My bag was never put on my first flight from JFK to MSP. When I arrived at Fargo Hector, my bag never arrived. Delta rep confirmed multiple times that my bag would be on the next flight to Fargo, and verified I had nothing else I had to do. The next day I returned to the airport to talk with another Delta rep because my app hadn’t said anything about my bag. The Rep said I should have filed a claim for the bag, and the Delta rep from the night before should have told me to do that.. he didn’t. I was then told my bag would be on the next flight to Fargo. I received a notification that my bag was at the carousel at the Minneapolis airport at baggage claim.... why the hell would it be at baggage claim at MSP when I was in Fargo. I was on the phone with customer service for over an hour trying to figure out why my bag wasn’t registered correctly and why it wasn’t on its way to Fargo, again.. fast forward a couple hours - I got a notification from the app that my bag was getting on a flight and would arrive at 4:50. When I got there, the flight was delayed. I waited another 25 min, and then came to realize that my bag was not on that flight either. My app updated to say that my bag was going on another flight and wouldn’t arrive until 8:30 pm.. something always happens when I fly with Delta. Wouldn’t recommend flying with them, especially when their customer service can’t do anything about the issue.
Many missing options

One of the many missing options is the opportunity to volunteer when a flight is overbooked. I just checked in for an overbooked flight and was never directed to the volunteer screen. If I had used the airport kiosk, I could have volunteered. True, volunteering does not guarantee being chosen, but at least I would have had the opportunity to try. I’ve had this same problem when the app has automatically checked me in and never allowed me the option of volunteering for overbooked flights. I am seriously considering deleting this app. Today: After neither the app nor the website would not let me volunteer, I checked in for this morning’s flight at the airport kiosk and easily accessed the volunteer screen. Unfortunately, I figured that I did not need the paper boarding pass because it would be on my phone. This app made me check in again to view the boarding passes and, once again, did not provide the volunteer screen. Fortunately, the gate agent was extremely helpful and added my name to the list at the price I wanted. The big problem is that if two people volunteer at the same price, one of the deciding factors is who volunteered first. It would be wonderful if the app let me volunteer when I check in 24 hours in advance then let me check the status whenever I want to see if the list has begun and add my name — if there was no list yet at check in.
I love flying Delta!

I can’t say it enough times how much I enjoy flying Delta. I have had to fly a lot for work and Delta is Leaps and bounds above the other airlines. Where they stand out the most is customer service! I only wish that when there happens to be a cheaper flight on another airline that Delta could match that price so that I wouldn’t be forced to fly those other airlines. My company requires I choose the cheapest option. I can usually explain it ends up cheaper on Delta due to my free checked luggage but once in a while I still have to fly another airline when I would much rather fly Delta! Keep up the good work Delta! Also, if I could recognize and individual employee then Kerry in Billings, MT deserves some real recognition. It is very hard to leave home every week and she is the nicest, friendliest Gate agent. She is often times training new staff and is very patient with them. She really is top notch and her warm smile makes leaving home a little less painful. Thank you Kerry!

Is Delta so insecure about needing a review that I need to get a notification every 5 minutes until I do so? Ok well then here is the review... I am very unhappy about the pervasive self-serving attitude of Delta and many of its employees. This is especially true at ECP Florida beaches International Airport. My father died and my son and wife were unable to make the funeral service the next day in Minneapolis because Delta cancelled their flight due to “mechanical” problems. Do you think that there would be some empathy or compassion expressed by Delta representatives. When my wife tried to cancel the ticket because Delta said they had no way of getting there on time they said the only way they would refund the ticket would be if I provided a death certificate. Ok, they created the problem and then they want me to go through hoops so I can fulfill their bureaucratic requirement designed to hang onto those precious dollars. Greedy, cold, indifferent and uncaring. That is really messed up and shows how much Delta cares about you as a customer. Pathetic. My family did miss my Dad’s funeral... thanks for the great service and empathy Delta! Oh by the way the “bereavement” fares offered by Delta are actually higher priced than the daily fares offered by Expedia and others.

I travel a lot and I’m not loyal to any airline, money talks. With this in mind, I’ve traveled domestic and international with many airlines and have used, or attempted to use, all of their apps. Interoperability with Delta website. If you purchased your tickets via website, good news! The app will interface seamlessly with website purchases. Not all airline apps do this. Ease of use. Once logged in to the app, you have the option of staying logged in between sessions which is fantastic when you are traveling. This makes it easy to access your digital boarding pass. I made my first trip with just a carry on bag and an e-ticket by checking in on the app. This eliminated the trip to the kiosk or ticket counter. The entire time I was in the terminal, I kept thinking I was doing something wrong. I showed the e-ticket to security and the gate agent; that’s it!! Updates. There were many reminders as appropriate. This include: Check in 24 hrs prior Gate information Departure and arrival updates Boarding advisories Luggage advisories The app has a lot of great features, some found in other airline apps, some not. Some of these features include: Purchase tickets Update personal information needed to fly and TSA Flight tracking Terminal maps with GPS location to navigate the terminal Show boarding pass without logging into smartphone Skymile data ...and more. This is a must have app to fly in today’s electronic world.

I spent over 45 min on the phone while the representative helped me use miles to upgrade my flight to first class....I verbally confirmed with her numerous times that the amount of miles she quoted would upgrade myself and my co-traveler to first class for the flight to our destination as well as our return flight. Upon getting ready to check in I see our seats are in row 34....not quite first class. After waiting 2 hours for a call back to rectify this I was met with a “sorry, you should have checked on this”. The reps supervisor instructed the rep to let me know it was my fault, even through I had confirmed (again multiple times with the rep that did the upgrade a month ago). There were 3 open seats in first class at the time of this call and delta offered no help in this situation. For a customer that flys often forbvoth work and vacation they sure helped me make my next flight not be on delta.

I am so beyond upset and frustrated with Delta Airlines. I bought a round trip flight back to Oregon for thanksgiving, already paying over $300 to get home for the holidays. Unexpectedly, on Tuesday before Thanksgiving my uncle passed away. I took the first one way flight I could find to get home to my family. I was unaware that because I missed the first flight, my return flight was cancelled as well EVEN THOUGH I HAD ALREADY PAID FOR IT, i did not receive anything via email or phone stating that my flight home was cancelled. I spoke to 6 different people who had absolutely no empathy. Even after providing the funeral home information, one representative stated that my story had changed.. she stated that I mentioned in the first call that it was my father passed away, which I NEVER said (check the recording.) I was in tears trying to get on a flight that I HAD ALREADY PAID FOR and spoke with 6 horrible, rude representatives all lacking empathy. I will be sure to NEVER fly delta again after this horrible and emotionally draining experience and I will tell everyone I know, including my company with over 30,000 employees to never fly Delta again. I am absolutely horrified that this is the way you treat your customers.
Worst app

Very inefficient when trying to change an existing reservation. There are 2 ‘go back’ arrows you press the wrong one, you have to start your whole. So if you click on the flight you potentially may change to, it will calculate the change fee and price difference, and new total. If you want to compare a price with a different Day, you have to start the search all over again. It just doesn’t make sense. People these day need to be able to make changes themselves and see their options. This app makes it very difficult to do that. Then if you call the phone center. They are even more useless. It seems their computers are really old, and their price quotes are always like $3000 more than the prices I found. Their computers automatically just pick the most expensive flight to quote to customers. Then if you tell them about the flight you found. It takes them like 30 minutes to be able to pull it up themselves. It is infuriating. I am happy that eventually Delta wants to phase out all of the customer service people and replace them with an AI program. So, I suppose it doesn’t make sense for them to update them computer programs they are working with.

Weeks after the death of my husband and having made it through Christmas, I thought I was able to stumble through all the “firsts”. New Year’s Eve morning I realized I could not do New Year’s Eve alone and ER doctor daughter working, other daughter back in Vegas, friends all with plans. Spontaneously, I called a Delta agent and cried and explained why I could not stay alone (plus 15 degree below windchill in MI). I was not as strong as I thought and needed to get away. She took so much time and helped me plan an immediate trip to FL, with such good suggestions and I decided on Ft Lauderdale. I stayed at a beautiful hotel right on the ocean in 78 degrees and sun! On boarding I began crying and a flight attendant paid special attention and even wrote me a beautiful supportive note on a Delta napkin that I still have. There’s even more but this is getting too long! I have told everyone I can about Delta with a Heart! ❤️
Got kicked off my plane

I had gotten on my flight to Ft Myers when I realized I left my laptop at security and I asked the attendant if she could call over to see if they could secure it. She says “oh no, you go get your laptop”. I was so surprised that she said they’d wAit but I felt stupid to leave my laptop after given this kind of response from staff. I ran to the gate and made great timing coming back to the gate in less than 7 minutes. I watched the gate close as I ran for my life to make that flight to Ft Myers to address a family emergency which is the reason for my flight. They had taken my bags off the plane and threw them aside with my stuff falling out of it. When I asked for help to the staff that said they would wait, they said “that was on you. You didn’t have to go”. Given the fact that I’m traveling for a family emergency and timing is if the essence I would have never gone had I not been encouraged to by staff. Well then I found out that they gave my seat to someone else. In what, 5 minutes? Heartbreaking experience and quite frankly customer abuse. I’ve never been treated worse in my life. The app is great. Well, most of the time. I should have known better. The first leg of my flight was delayed and, when the plane landed, I had 20 minutes to deplane and catch the next flight. No problem. The app said it was the next gate over in the same terminal. Whew! So, plenty of time to go to the bathroom, right? Double checked the app and now it says I’m supposed to go to the next terminal. Ugh. Down the stairs, just missed the train, ran to the next gate. The screen at the gate shows the next plane to my destination leaves in 90 minutes. What??!? Raced around to find a departure screen and lo and behold, my flight really was leaving where I just deplaned. Ran back to the previous terminal. If you’re tracking with me you’re thinking what I’m hoping won’t be true. The gate is now shut, the ramp pulled away and the plane sitting there just like it was mocking me. So, this is the last time I EVER rely on the app. Why the two databases aren’t synced is a mystery. You would think it would be reliable but I hope someone else benefits from my learned lesson. DO NOT RELY on the app.
Use it for managing booked flights, but limited options when booking

Definitely worth downloading, as it provides all tools for managing your booked flights. I would recommend to use browser when booking though, especially when your dates are flexible and you want to see prices for +/- several days. Sometimes leaving or coming back just a day earlier or later results in drastic difference in price. The browser allows to select “flexible dates” and provides the grid view with prices, which gives you a good idea about the various flight costs during a particular time period. At the time is this writing there is no such option in the app. Only one departure and arrival date can be chosen at a time; to see prices for various dates one has to enter them manually for every flight price check, which takes forever and doesn’t provide the overall picture at a glance, like booking via browser does.

I have been a long time DL Customer for several years, approaching 3M miles. Over all my experience has been very positive. Great Airline, Great People, Great Customer Service. One of my negative impressions are the changes that DL made to their FF Program. Hard for me to completely understand when a lower level FF Customer who purchases a slightly higher or higher coach class ticket receives priority over a Diamond Flyer. As a Corporate Flyer we are asked to book our flights at least 14 days out, which usually results in a lower coach fare compared to a fare that was booked “late”. I have had on several occasions received a personal apology from a flight attendant. One time the flight attendant wrote me a personal note apologizing that I did not receive at least a DL comfort seat. One flight attendant showed me all of the Silver, Golds and Platinum’s that were seating in DL Comfort or 1st Class. DL is rewarding fare not loyalty. Just my impressions and experience this year.

This is the best airline for a single handicap person to use! There’s always a wheelchair for me within a few minutes. The persons who push me to my gate are extremely courteous and will always stop at the restroom or store so I can get water! They are the best! My ONLY complaint last year was the fact that they wheeled me from check-in up to the concourse at Detroit Metro and dropped me off with 25 others in wheelchairs and there we sat. After over half an hour I got up to the counter and informed them that my flight would be boarding in half an hour and I STILL needed to go through security! They did jump into action as there were 3 in wheelchairs on my flight back to Ft Myers, Fl. I was rushed through security and got to my gate as they were boarding. No one ever told us WHY we were dumped together in a holding area and just sat there. Otherwise, my flight was great!

Yesterday .. I had to change my flight for a day later leaving SPOKANE headed back to Los Angeles ...so I could watch my sick baby niece so my sister could get to her new job . I explained to the delta representative what my situation was ... I had originally wanted to fly on a Saturday but the flights were triple the cost for that day . ... somehow .. the delta rep was able to shift over my flight and didn’t charge me anything ... NOT ANYTHING .. they have consistently been way about average in customer service . Last year when we had all the fires in Southern California .. we had to change flights something like 4 times because the situation kept changing ... they didn’t charge us a change fee and waived all of them during that period ... whoever is making policy over there is doing a stellar job .. being able to be flexible at the corporate level when it is warranted is such a plus ... customers don’t want to feel like they are being grinded into the ground .. especially when there are extenuating circumstances . Thx delta .. you are my number one choice !! Now just add more LAX to Spokane non stop flights .. you guys operate the ONLY LAX-GEG-LAX flights and they are always full !! I say you need to add more ... especially flight back to LAX that leaves later than 6:45 am ... say 10:00 am ?
An amazing app but a critical missing feature for Watch

Delta has all around the best airline app out there. Extremely useful from booking to boarding. I once booked a ticket in the app using Apple Pay and it took less than a minute total. Truly seamless and with an intuitive design. But there’s just one thing I can’t wrap my head around: the poor Apple Watch app bundled with the iPhone app. While Delta’s app for iPhone is far superior to its competitors, the Watch app lags behind. American, JetBlue, and United all offer a useful watch app that includes a Watch face complication for quick viewing of up to date information on seat, gate, and boarding time just by raising your wrist. Delta’s Watch app lacks this, and even loading the watch app itself (not the missing complication) provides a clunky experience that rarely loads and lacks useful information.

I was flying from Rochester, MN, to Boston through Atlanta the Saturday after Thanksgiving. As my plane was taxiing to the gate in Atlanta, the app notified me that my connecting flight had been delayed. I was given the option of changing my itinerary at no extra charge and was given several alternatives. I chose to switch although I would now have another extra stop. I was seated in the center seat on both new flights but the seats were comfortable. By using the track my baggage feature, I was learned that my bag was coming later on the original flight. In the end I arrived in Boston only eight minutes after my original scheduled time. Because I knew my bag was not with me, I was able to go directly to the baggage service counter and have my bag delivered to my home. It arrived just as I was getting up the following morning. Great app!! Good job, Delta!!
Introduce something like MilePlay + save flights

The Delta app is far and away the best and most beautiful airline app I’ve used. I especially LOVE the ability to swap between classes when booking (such that I can fly first outbound and Comfort+ inbound) - SO convenient. That said, I really wish Delta would introduce something like United’s MilePlay, where every month or so you get a new challenge that earns you miles + encourages you to travel with the airline. I’m always looking for a reason to go somewhere and MilePlay definitely gets me to spend. Another thing that would be AMAZING is the ability to save/monitor flights! I like to be able to save a flight and then be notified when the price has changed. It also helps to keep track of flights that I should be buying so I don’t forget. Some things to think about!!
Awful Experience

We are heading back to Atlanta from flight 2398. It was delayed, we were then deplaned, and we were told no fewer than eleven times we would be boarding “in five to fifteen minutes”. Over five hours later we were told by a delta employee “I have no idea whether you’re leaving tonight, you should get a new flight and book a hotel.” We, including my toddler (and I am seven and a half months pregnant) were told different stories every time we asked for information. We’re spending tons of money on extra food and cabs, and we need to fly to a different airport then Newark in order to leave Atlanta in the morning, meaning we wil need to take more time out of our day to go to Newark and get our bag. We are on vacation this week and Delta is RUINING it. Not only should you pay for all the taxis, food, and inconvenience, but our whole flight should be refunded and we should be given points. I’m in a ton of pain from lugging a carseat, toddler, and baby IN UTERO and your employees offered no honest information or assistance. You should be ashamed and disgusted with yourselves.

I have been flying on other airlines and used their app all the times. While using the Delta’s app, I didn’t felt good about these. I hope all unfamiliar people find it same. Because apps are meant to be used by novice people, but Im myself a Mobile Application Developer, I found it very hard or not good. These are my suggestions: 1. The dark color theme is good while traveling; but Me personally control the brightness of my mobile screen - all the time. Because you care so much about the battery life while traveling and having very Dark text and colors, frequently I had to brighten up my screen. But if we will have some light theme, even if I put low brightness-it will be visible. I know people, this sounds what! But when you are travelled long and tou don’t have charge on your phone. Then you will understand why. 2. I couldn’t even find Entertainment option in the App!! What! When you connect to wifi is that a only place to find entertainment option? I navigated through the app to find that Button 🤣 but still couldn’t find it. 3. I tried to write these as feedback but I ended up writing them as review. I never wrote any reviews on app store. But I throught I should write to make it more better for Everybody like me. 4. Added the boarding passes on Wallet. But if seats changed, wallet still shows the last seat. Its not updating. It was very confusing. Ended up asking at the gate what is my seat? Hope this gets some serious attention.

I called tonight asking about my travel in the morning. I am a sky miles member and hold status in the medallion program as well. I was curious as to why my automatic upgrade was not available for myself and my amazing better half that leaves for a trip that I gifted to him in the morning. The rep wasn’t so helpful, so I asked for the supervisor. He explained why and immediately had the solution. This trip I gifted my love is very important to me. A very dear friend that he misses terribly is there and they recently were able to reconnect. My love and I have been together for 17 years. I am so thankful to the person I spoke to tonight that was able to get us into delta comfort and had a solution. I always receive such wonderful service with Delta. Thank you for again making my experience pleasurable.
Booking a ticket is completely broken

Let me start by saying that I’ve been using this app for several years. 1. Apple Pay is completely broken and just doesn’t work. I do not trust them to not get hacked and have my credit card and identity get stolen, so I was excited when I saw the option to use Apple Pay. It just doesn’t work, and has not for any of the many tickets I’ve booked over the years. It always gives an error saying Oops! Please enter a valid billing address. A billing address is selected when using Apple Pay, and there is no place in the app to enter a billing address when using Apple Pay! 2. When paying with a credit card, the payment screen is incredibly buggy and I always have to reenter information because it either didn’t take the first time, or it wouldn’t let me select a previous line in the form, forcing me to back out to the previous page and start over. NOTHING makes me trust that they’ll keep my information secure when even the form to enter in the payment information bugs out constantly. 3. There is no tech support or way to submit these bugs. Calling customer service in the app gets you connected to a general customer service agent who is only trained to book flights, and keeps repeating that they don’t know what I’m talking about when I ask them to submit a bug report for Apple Pay not working. Please delta, fix your app. This is embarrassing, even my tiny local credit union app works better than this piece of crap.

My flight was delayed 3 times so I missed my next flight. I waited at the airport for over 3 hours then went home. I took a half day off work for nothing and had to have my husband wake up at 4am to drive me the next day. That is fine, I understand stuff happens. But they would not give me a seat (even though I had one on the first flight) and I called to ask for one and I waited to give my “feedback” response and waited on hold for over 40 min. I actually took a screenshot because I couldn’t believe it. How is that possible? They don’t care about me because I don’t fly with them enough (I do fly with delta as much as possible before this). She kept telling me that it was up to the airport at this time; that is crap because I was getting a drink with a guy who flies delta and his flight was changed and they got him fixed straight away. Just tell me you don’t give a crap about me and don’t put me on hold for over 40 min so I don’t give a crap review. That is just more frustrating
Missing Dark Mode and Slide Over

The new UI incorporates a lot more bright white screens. That is super jarring for any user running dark mode in iOS 13. Please allow for the UI to change dynamically between light and dark to match the system state. The app should also take advantage of the new slide over/split screen functionality on the iPad. The app is currently to spread out and hard to use on the larger iPad Pros, but with slide one it would look just like the iPhone version! That would be so nice to have because then the app would be much more useful when having to have safari, calendar, email, etc. open at the same time. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a very loyal Diamond Medallion and the Delta app is considerably better than other airlines - but as the app gets better and I use it more, these other features matter even more to me. Especially because the Delta website is considerably worse than the app when it comes to mobile interaction and information consumption.
Good BUT one issue...

Overall this app is very good; however, I think there is one major flaw when booking flights. After logging into the app and finding flights to book, the next step is to fill out all my personal information, including my skymiles number — even though I am logged into my app and you have all that information. This means I have to go back out to the home screen, copy my number, and go back through booking. On my last trip I planned to add the number later and forgot, so I had to request acknowledgment of those miles later through the website and wait for approval. It would be very helpful to link the traveler information screen with personal account information, similar to how the website works. Then I would give this app 5 stars!
Checks you in without asking when you launch the app

This is a very good app but it automatically checks you in as early as the day before if you open the app (without asking). For me that is always a bad idea. I hope they change this or make it a configurable setting. I never check in early because the nature of my business forces me change flights at the last minute sometimes. Today I desperately needed to change my flight but delta wouldn’t let me (on line or in the app) because I had already inadvertently “checked in” yesterday when I looked at the app just wanting to check my departing flight time. Couple that with a 2 hour wait to talk to someone at delta to see if I could get a later flight forced me to take my original flight and leave my customer when I really needed to stay a few more hours. I really can’t see how it benefits me to “check in” for a flight the day before.
Terrible service at Atlanta

I was extremely disappointed with Delta’s customer service at Atlanta Airport today during the power outage. Delta did not offer any help to stranded customers during the ten hour power outage; no food or water in the terminal or lodging assistance for spending the night. Also, when the power was restored at 11:30 pm we waited over 90 minutes for a Delta counter agent to show up and start assisting passengers rebook flights, and then there was very little help available. It seemed like there was very little preparation during the ten hour power outage to prepare for recovery. One counter agent commented that most of the other agents were sent home. I realize that Delta was not responsible for the power outage, but they should have been responsible for taking better care of their stranded passengers
Poor experience

It is frustrating that Delta has not taken care of all possible scenarios in the design of this app. I used the app recently while on a flight and as network was not available, the app forced me to the login screen and cleared the user ID and password fields. Subsequent logins require you to remember the password which is really frustrating as the password policies are not standard as well . ( they don't allow special characters in the password). Further there is no Touch ID integration enabled which is utterly surprising . Finding the options to reset the password was a pain. It took a while for me to figure out that I need to click on "login help" as I was looking for a "Forgot Password "option. I can help with further inputs if needed to fix this and many more frustrating issues .
Satisfied but still room for improvement

I enjoyed everything about the flight. While some hosts and hostesses were phenomenal, two younger hosts seemed like they could work on their people skills in handling difficult issues e.g. one lady stuck her foot in the aisle and while this was not good, he could have spoken to her more politely. I have been on Southwest and still feel like they still beat Delta in this regard. The second host when I asked for lots of cream in my tea just poured what he felt without honoring that I wanted more cream in my tea. One of the hosts was phenomenal as space ran out and people put their luggage in the overhead cabin and the customers were about to blame each other When he stepped in and resolved the conflict and made each feel like they were appreciated. I appreciate the new patent check-in feature, but a few bugs and workflow issues were there. Checking in to Air France I had to re-enter my passport information. Small but annoying because you have it. A million times you have it. Plus I couldn’t add baggage. Maybe that’s on purpose, but then tell me. The last thing was I couldn’t add the boarding passes to my wallet. And one last gripe is that I saw people on Reddit saying the C+ upgrade option had the “only if seat preference available” option, but I couldn’t find it. Maybe because I’m currently international, but I would really like that option. I hate having to try and go back and claim an aisle in economy when I get “upgraded” to a center seat. Generally I like the application. Makes traveling so much easier; however these few little quirks will keep it at a 4 for now.
Doesn't update flight info (useless) + crashes

App crashed five minutes before boarding time and then we had to wait for everyone to get printed boarding passes at the gate. ~~~ My flight was delayed four hours (still hasn't boarded) and the gate has changed several times. The app is STILL displaying the original gate; NONE of the text alerts have included gate info and there was no announcement about the final change...Not to mention that the gate we are now using isn't displaying my flight and we have a new flight #. Why change the flight number? But then NOT update it on the app, or the text alerts? I don't see the point of the app if the information doesn't update in real-time. This makes an already stressful situation more frustrating.

This used to be a great app, but recent changes have really hurt it. The today screen is useless, going there automatically when you want to go to another trip. Especially annoying when you just closed that trip a minute ago. The app looses your boarding pass about every third trip (thankful for passbook) and blanks it out in the boarding queue leading to a long re login while those in line behind you look at you like you're an idiot for not having a boarding pass. I just downloaded the latest version and Delta has made it even worse. It is pretending to constantly update your seat assignment even when there is no change. But more annoying is the elimination of multi user accounts meaning you have to enter the full account number every time you swap between you and your wife's account. Don't update the app. This one is a bad one.

I enjoy having the flight attendants being in the aisles asking passengers if they need help with knowing their connection gate information. Overall I am satisfied with Delta however I typically experience a hiccup on at least one leg of my flights. Anything from a seat that won’t go back, the entertainment system doesn’t work or the tray table is loose. My flight today back from Austin to Detroit my seat back slowly slipped back into the upright position every time I pushed it back. I just go with the flow as it’s small stuff, but sometimes it’s annoying. Again. I have been loyal to delta for many years as is my husband but I appreciate you asking for feedback. It helps keep you focused on better serving your customers so we do stay loyal. Thank you.

It would seem that many Apple Store users do not appreciate that they are supposed to be writing a review of the app and not about Delta performance, customer service, operations, etc. The most recent app provides much more functionality, including the ability to book a trip. Having experienced a misconnection because of weather (and LGA congestion and construction), I liked being able to track my checked baggage through the app. I do have one problem, though. The app has consistently started to check me in should I open it when I have a flight eligible for checkin. I am perfectly able to decide when I wish to check myself in. Perhaps I do not know how many bags I am going to check when I open up the app or maybe I want to see if any seats have opened up. Or maybe I want to book a trip. Maybe it is not designed to this, but it seems to be happening.

It’s only when I occasionally fly a different airline that I am reminded how outstanding Delta’s baggage service has become. The “your bag was loaded on Flight 1234’ text and the “your bag is being delivered to Carousel 3” text are customer centered thinking, and the “20 minutes after landing” delivery guarantee is always exceeded. Our bags are almost always at the bag claim before we walk there from the plane. I honestly can’t figure out how they do that. It is such a huge improvement over the old agonizing wait times (that other airlines still put you through) and bags just don’t get lost or mis-delivered any more. Whoever redesigned Delta Baggage a few years ago, you have my hearty thanks and my admiration. I don’t know how you do it, but I sure appreciate it.

Overall great app. 90% of it works great. Couple of things need work. 1. If you are rescheduled on an alternative flight due to delay the app co-mingles old and new flight information. For example I am on a morning flight. Boarding time shows 21:50 which is last nights flight. 2. Very hard to standby for an alternative flight or rebook through the app when you have a misconnect which is a pity as it forces you to rely on airport staff. If the app were easier to use maybe the lines would be shorter at the airport. 3. Standby for an individual flight as part of an itinerary is impossible to do on the app. (Alaska has nailed this function). For example flight delay on segment one. Want to standby for a flight that will still make the connection in Atlanta. No way to do that through the app.

I have been flying Delta regularly for years. I know I will always have a good trip, even if I have four reroutes due to weather. Staff manage to maintain composure when I am sure they should blow up. I know that not everyone is perfect and there are those few people who are grumpy or agitated- but I figure I have days I am not as nice as I want to be. I try to give the cranky staff member a pass-and remember they have lives that exist outside of their jobs. I realize it could be a partner or spouse is sick but that staff person has to work. Maybe it was a rough day dealing with some other major issue. When I can’t let go of the staff members attitude towards me or others I write a complaint and go back to enjoying my trip. Delta is great in so many ways for me. Thank you!

I fly to Birmingham and Pensacola frequently now to visit my children one of whom is in the military. I have always flown Delta but recently have encountered problems that is making me consider switching airlines. 1) you recently canceled the nonstop flight out of Birmingham to LaGuardia Airport at 6 AM which caused the rest of the day November 5 to be overbooked. If someone had looked at the college football calendar they would have noticed it's a huge SEC game of Alabama versus LSU. 2) in addition my flight home on the Friday after Thanksgiving from Pensacola was canceled at 6:30 PM and now I get to less hours with my son who is in the military because I have to fly home at 4:30 PM 3) stop at nickel and diming me for baggage fees and seats. If I buy a seat on your airline I should get a seat assignment this is not south west

In booking the bereavement tickets to my home for the passing of my grandmother, I dealt with an agent that was not similar to the kind of customer service I’m used to experiencing from Delta. I used to be a heavy traveler for work, and always made it a point to fly Delta. Almost every single one of the persons I came across was very accommodating and polite. The agent who booked my flights not only laughed at me when booking the flights, scoffed at my comment that I was used to better customer service from Delta, but made remarks when discussing my flight arrangements. I’m normally a fairly calloused person, but experiencing the death of my grandmother, whom I was close to was painful. This gentleman made the experience worse. My flights were outstanding as normal with Delta. One agent in Atlanta even helped my sister out by putting her in a seat that was open, since she was bringing a lap child. That was the type of customer service we’re used to. Thank you for your tome.

I have been a loyal Delta customer for years and the app has been essential for making sure everything goes as planned. The most recent update of the app is visually unappealing, cluttered, and dysfunctional. Gone are the soothing professional blue backgrounds. The app is now a chaotic mess of purple, red, and bright white. This new color scheme is visually unappealing, distracting, and gives me a headache. The my trips section bombards me with ads for upgrades, rather than the former subtle upgrade ad in previous versions. The white and other color schemes does not represent Delta’s premium focus, which was much better represented in the old app. Developers should really consider reworking the color schemes in this app because for now I will stop using the app.

I Purchased a business class ticket from Jacksonville Florida to Buenos Aires Argentina round-trip. In general I was very disappointed with the leg going from Jacksonville to Atlanta Did general music and entertainment system did not work and all I got was just a shrug of the shoulders and that’s it the music didn’t work and I was flying first class in the second leg the food was pretty bad and again the entertainment system was very very poor in general the comfort of the Business class seat was of a lower level than the business class seat in American Airlines. Just not a very pleasant experience. Furthermore I thought it was very very irritating that you have a chance to review the flight only one day or a few hours after you finish your trip. That is ridiculous in the very few hours that they give you you’re just going to sleep and recovering fromThe long trip and then when you go to reviewing it tells you that it’s just too late you cannot review it. That is Utterly ridiculous.

I am a software salesman and now, 64 years old. I have been flying Delta since before there were any frequent flyer programs. 44 countries and over 150 cities. I have flown every major airline in the United States and many that are no longer in existence. Airplanes can be the same or similar, but it is Delta’s people that make the difference. I love what I do and I love to travel. I have lived in several U.S. states, São Paulo, Brazil and Tokyo, Japan and Delta has been my travel partner every step of the way. Today, I am flying Delta from Phoenix to Sioux Falls, South Dakota and back home, but always with Delta. No company is perfect, but since 1979, Delta has been an important, reliable and friendly choice for all my air travel. Working on 5 million!

Need to have better assistance at the Honduras Airpot . I lost my flight because I had inconvenience getting to the Sap Airport in Honduras and I still had 1 hour left to catch my flight when I got to the airport and because there was no one who could assist me on the lower level and no one could notify the staff on on upper level I stood on the lower level helpless just hearing how they were calling the business class , 1st zone and so on and not being able to catch my flight. I am very dissatisfied with your staff and the way the service you at the Sap Airport. I know you have to get to the airpot 3hours early but what if the buss brakes down or if people are blocking the main roads or if the traffic was really bad or any inconvenience occurs but you do your best to catch your flight and still have time people are not even boarding yet but you can catch your flight because of the lack of staff and service. Hope one day you improve how your staff service tourists here at the Sap Airport Honduras.

I have flown several other airlines going to and from Michigan. The last two times there was either a snow storm or hurricane. The first time I was unable to get in touch with the airlines (not Delta) for two days and finally booked a flight home on Delta. This time, I booked Delta round trip. Hurricane came and I had to reschedule my flight home. I called Delta and it only took maybe ten minutes for them to change my flight with no extra fees. The last time I was on a different airline and had to actually pay for a whole new flight home on Delta bc could not get flight on the airlines I flew in on. From now on, Delta is my preferred airlines. The Delta App is wonderful. I hit button to check in and it’s done! Always fly Delta!

I also use JetBlue, Finnair, British Airways, and several others and they are all more logical and easier to use than this app. Even the United app, which is no picnic, is better. Problems: Every time I want to look up something or change something on a flight I have to ‘find’ it by giving the confirmation number or other identifier. If I have two different flights booked I can only deal with one of them and if I want to even look at information for the other one I have to give the confirmation number. The moving screen advertising upgrades is annoying. There appears to be no way to see all my flights at the same time. The whole app seems very counter-intuitive. I found it difficult and time consuming to figure out where information was and how I could, for example, change seats. I surprised that most people rated this app so highly. Unless you’re all shills.

The airline and frequent flyer program is truly great. But don’t reserve a hotel on their system if you’re going to Asia. The hotel app only allows you to reserve the hotel for the day of the flight although you land in Asia a day or two later. Some hotels will work with you others will cancel your reservation and keep your money.

Until just a month ago, I was a loyal Premiere Gold United customer. I have to travel for work and it seemed the Delta schedules were better for me so I decided to give them a try. Delta has been great... but this isn’t a review about Delta, this is a review about the Delta app. Being used to United, I didn’t like this app at first. It took me a little time to get used to it, but I have to say that now that I’ve been using it for about a month, it’s great! I really enjoy it. It seems fast, allows me to quickly request cabin upgrades, searching and purchasing flights is incredible easy and well designed for a small phone screen. I really love it! So why only 4 stars? There’s really only one reason. I have no idea how to track how I’m doing toward reaching status without having to do a lot of math and use third-party apps to calculate my MQM and MQD for the trips I book. This is the only place where the United app is better. On United, each trip tells me specifically how manyMQMs and MQDs I’ll accrue for that trip. It also has a tool that looks at all my booked trips and will tell me how I’m tracking toward elite status based on future trips. This is a killer feature. Please, please consider adding this to the Delta app. If you add this feature, I’ll happily change my rating to 5 stars.

I have long flew Delta Airlines but only recently decided to use their app. I HIGHLY recommend anyone who flies Delta but doesn’t have an account with them make one. The app is very clean in its presentation and very easy to navigate. Checking in for a flight has never been easier and I certainly intend to fly Delta more often in the future and take full advantage of their SkyMiles program!

One hour wait

We boarded the plane and then there was a mechanical Situation and we waited one hour on the plane before take off. I was on a tight schedule for the day and Barely made it happen. The hour wait was awful. I was thankful there was not a serious problem with the flight but it was awful having to wait for an hour when I had a serous time constraint for the day. It’s going to be Awhile before I fly Delta again.

Although a full permanent resident it always requires a return departure from USA flight. Now since today even the app has forgotten me and I have to enter all of my personal info when flying. For 2020 I am switching to American Airlines.

Our plane was delayed in Albany due a mechanical issue. We arrived at Atlanta and we ran to our connecting gate. We arrived after running the whole way and the agent had just closed the door and refused to even call to the plane to see if they would open it for us. An entire plane of people were missing or just barely making connections and Delta could not even help two of those people get on their flight. Horrible customer service. I will remember this in the future.

I am so beyond upset and frustrated with Delta Airlines. I bought a round trip flight back to Oregon for thanksgiving, already paying over $300 to get home for the holidays. Unexpectedly, on Tuesday before Thanksgiving my uncle passed away. I took the first one way flight I could find to get home to my family. I was unaware that because I missed the first flight, my return flight was cancelled as well EVEN THOUGH I HAD ALREADY PAID FOR IT, i did not receive anything via email or phone stating that my flight home was cancelled. I spoke to 6 different people who had absolutely no empathy. Even after providing the funeral home information, one representative stated that my story had changed.. she stated that I mentioned in the first call that it was my father passed away, which I NEVER said (check the recording.) I was in tears trying to get on a flight that I HAD ALREADY PAID FOR and spoke with 6 horrible, rude representatives all lacking empathy. I will be sure to NEVER fly delta again after this horrible and emotionally draining experience and I will tell everyone I know, including my company with over 30,000 employees to never fly Delta again. I am absolutely horrified that this is the way you treat your customers.

This Delta App does help. I do get frustrated with the App when I am checking in my entire family. At some point the app ask you to check each person flying for passport information. If you hit the wrong button you get kicked all the way back to the start of the app.

I fly first class on delta past 6 trips all have been ok horribly old planes no tv’s even when the app says it’s a new plane I still get on one old as American Airlines flights I suggest you fly continental or Spirit last flight with them the plane was huge very roomy and comfortable delta has lost its appeal plus I get my flight canceled and they don’t even cover a room when you fly first class horrible service horrible company

Doesn’t update gate information in a timely manner. Almost missed a flight because it sent us to wrong terminal in Atlanta. Always check the departures on the board at the airport. Good for pre check in and not much else.

The web site has my departure set at Atlanta i fly out of Ft Meyer a recent jump back to atl caused a major issue as the atl was not noticed until arrival at the airport causing additional out of pocket expense of 500 and arrival in the middle of a snow storm we are equally as culpable yet a jacked up price was offered to get me where I needed to go delta held me hostage what else can I say have always spoke highly of delta however will now consider other carriers in 2020.

Tried opening app and as the Apple employee said it hijacked my phone making it unable to answer or make calls or open any other app. I was stuck like my phone looking at deltas opening screen. I deleted this app quick as I could after Apple helped reset my phone. Smart nice people at Apple.
Forces log in every time

I have used the delta app ever since it came out and Thor it was great. However about a week ago. The app suddenly started forcing me to log in every time I open it. Even if it is open and I navigate away geom it say to check a text when I come back I have to log in again. On an average trip waiting at a gate this could be 10 times in as many minutes. Incredibly stupid and angering. Some idiot in security probably thought this would be a great upgrade but he must not travel much. Have deleted the app for now.

If you try to buy plane tickets with an Apple Card using Apple Pay, it shows an error. I had to switch to paying with credit card number (same Apple card) which is less secure and gives less cash back. :(

App is just OK. For frequent DL travelers such as myself, don’t need pretty colors, just useful info. One downgrade with version 5 is that you can no longer see how many “seats remaining “ for upgrade possibilities. Of course you may be able to backdoor that by performing a phantom booking to see available seats, but what a hassle.

I have been flying Delta since it acquired Western Airlines back in the 70s. I have had my problems with Delta Airlines, such as having them give my seat away while I was transferring terminals when I was on an emergency trip home as my mother was dying. That stunt allowed me to arrive 4 hours after my mother had lost consciousness for the last time. Delta of course apologized and gave me miles - Which meant nothing . But - the most important thing they did was updated their training manual to re-emphasize the importance of getting emergency traveling passengers to their proper gate and proper flight. Do not give seats away until you have checked all arriving flights and know there are no transferring passengers unaccounted for. I understand Delta is a big corporation and run for profit. They do their best. When I complain I have an actual email back in record time. Their aircraft is clean, modern and well-maintained. When I am overseas I trust the Delta planes. So what if they’re late? Their air miles are hard to obtain and expensive when you go to use them. But overall Delta’s people care about you, their aircraft is well-maintained and safe. The food is low satisfactory but above others. Their alcohol is great, Major labels, no off brands like Alaska. I Fly Delta because I trust them.

I am loyal to very few large companies on this planet. My loyalty often winds up local whenever possible. However, with Delta, I feel as proud to be a loyalist as I do with a local business. They treat me right. When you earn status, IT MEANS SOMETHING! I capitalize that because with another major airline, my status I earned that was similar when I lived elsewhere and flew them a lot did nothing for me in comparison. I could go on and on about why I love Delta, but I’ll just end with the fact that they really try. They’ve improved. They’re staff is overwhelmingly good, and for a huge business like this, that is not easy. I’m a Delta loyalist for the rest of my days. The app works seamlessly by the way. I am supposed to mention that huh? Truly perfect app that will tell me right when my bags are loaded on the plane, at baggage claim, the whole 9’yards. Thanks Delta for being a good company. I hope this review makes someone happy, because I run a business and can’t even express the amount of people in your employ that have impressed and delighted me in my travels. Cheers! In fairness, there are many things this app does right - however, the plethora of things that are broken and that have been for years now merits a strongly worded inditement. The app consistently crashes with airport WiFi. Delta blames this on the local airport’s WIfI- but for a Multi-year Diamond Medallion with multiple million miles who sees hundreds of airports each year - it can’t always be the airports wifi - sorry Delta, that Dog don’t hunt! Also, the app crashes consistently (usually while I’m in the TSA line). For me, it crashed 1/2 the time I tried to use it in the last year (I wrote it down each time it crashed). This is unacceptable! You can change the amount of information stored on each device vs what has to be downloaded (and which is the likely cause of these crashes). For example, once my boarding pass has been downloaded - why does it need to be redone loaded every time I log on?? A simple byte of info indicating a change vs no change could flag it and give me the option of downloading an updated boarding pass or not - this would prevent it from crashing at the most in-opportune time (at the TSA line). Yes - I can bypass by taking a screenshot or saving it to my wallet - but most of the time I am running. If I’ve already downloaded my boarding pass - don’t make me log on and connect to get it again! I know you can fix this. Please do!!

Until just a month ago, I was a loyal Premiere Gold United customer. I have to travel for work and it seemed the Delta schedules were better for me so I decided to give them a try. Delta has been great... but this isn’t a review about Delta, this is a review about the Delta app. Being used to United, I didn’t like this app at first. It took me a little time to get used to it, but I have to say that now that I’ve been using it for about a month, it’s great! I really enjoy it. It seems fast, allows me to quickly request cabin upgrades, searching and purchasing flights is incredible easy and well designed for a small phone screen. I really love it! So why only 4 stars? There’s really only one reason. I have no idea how to track how I’m doing toward reaching status without having to do a lot of math and use third-party apps to calculate my MQM and MQD for the trips I book. This is the only place where the United app is better. On United, each trip tells me specifically how manyMQMs and MQDs I’ll accrue for that trip. It also has a tool that looks at all my booked trips and will tell me how I’m tracking toward elite status based on future trips. This is a killer feature. Please, please consider adding this to the Delta app. If you add this feature, I’ll happily change my rating to 5 stars.

My bag was never put on my first flight from JFK to MSP. When I arrived at Fargo Hector, my bag never arrived. Delta rep confirmed multiple times that my bag would be on the next flight to Fargo, and verified I had nothing else I had to do. The next day I returned to the airport to talk with another Delta rep because my app hadn’t said anything about my bag. The Rep said I should have filed a claim for the bag, and the Delta rep from the night before should have told me to do that.. he didn’t. I was then told my bag would be on the next flight to Fargo. I received a notification that my bag was at the carousel at the Minneapolis airport at baggage claim.... why the hell would it be at baggage claim at MSP when I was in Fargo. I was on the phone with customer service for over an hour trying to figure out why my bag wasn’t registered correctly and why it wasn’t on its way to Fargo, again.. fast forward a couple hours - I got a notification from the app that my bag was getting on a flight and would arrive at 4:50. When I got there, the flight was delayed. I waited another 25 min, and then came to realize that my bag was not on that flight either. My app updated to say that my bag was going on another flight and wouldn’t arrive until 8:30 pm.. something always happens when I fly with Delta. Wouldn’t recommend flying with them, especially when their customer service can’t do anything about the issue.
Many missing options

One of the many missing options is the opportunity to volunteer when a flight is overbooked. I just checked in for an overbooked flight and was never directed to the volunteer screen. If I had used the airport kiosk, I could have volunteered. True, volunteering does not guarantee being chosen, but at least I would have had the opportunity to try. I’ve had this same problem when the app has automatically checked me in and never allowed me the option of volunteering for overbooked flights. I am seriously considering deleting this app. Today: After neither the app nor the website would not let me volunteer, I checked in for this morning’s flight at the airport kiosk and easily accessed the volunteer screen. Unfortunately, I figured that I did not need the paper boarding pass because it would be on my phone. This app made me check in again to view the boarding passes and, once again, did not provide the volunteer screen. Fortunately, the gate agent was extremely helpful and added my name to the list at the price I wanted. The big problem is that if two people volunteer at the same price, one of the deciding factors is who volunteered first. It would be wonderful if the app let me volunteer when I check in 24 hours in advance then let me check the status whenever I want to see if the list has begun and add my name — if there was no list yet at check in.

I can’t say it enough times how much I enjoy flying Delta. I have had to fly a lot for work and Delta is Leaps and bounds above the other airlines. Where they stand out the most is customer service! I only wish that when there happens to be a cheaper flight on another airline that Delta could match that price so that I wouldn’t be forced to fly those other airlines. My company requires I choose the cheapest option. I can usually explain it ends up cheaper on Delta due to my free checked luggage but once in a while I still have to fly another airline when I would much rather fly Delta! Keep up the good work Delta! Also, if I could recognize and individual employee then Kerry in Billings, MT deserves some real recognition. It is very hard to leave home every week and she is the nicest, friendliest Gate agent. She is often times training new staff and is very patient with them. She really is top notch and her warm smile makes leaving home a little less painful. Thank you Kerry!

Is Delta so insecure about needing a review that I need to get a notification every 5 minutes until I do so? Ok well then here is the review... I am very unhappy about the pervasive self-serving attitude of Delta and many of its employees. This is especially true at ECP Florida beaches International Airport. My father died and my son and wife were unable to make the funeral service the next day in Minneapolis because Delta cancelled their flight due to “mechanical” problems. Do you think that there would be some empathy or compassion expressed by Delta representatives. When my wife tried to cancel the ticket because Delta said they had no way of getting there on time they said the only way they would refund the ticket would be if I provided a death certificate. Ok, they created the problem and then they want me to go through hoops so I can fulfill their bureaucratic requirement designed to hang onto those precious dollars. Greedy, cold, indifferent and uncaring. That is really messed up and shows how much Delta cares about you as a customer. Pathetic. My family did miss my Dad’s funeral... thanks for the great service and empathy Delta! Oh by the way the “bereavement” fares offered by Delta are actually higher priced than the daily fares offered by Expedia and others.

I travel a lot and I’m not loyal to any airline, money talks. With this in mind, I’ve traveled domestic and international with many airlines and have used, or attempted to use, all of their apps. Interoperability with Delta website. If you purchased your tickets via website, good news! The app will interface seamlessly with website purchases. Not all airline apps do this. Ease of use. Once logged in to the app, you have the option of staying logged in between sessions which is fantastic when you are traveling. This makes it easy to access your digital boarding pass. I made my first trip with just a carry on bag and an e-ticket by checking in on the app. This eliminated the trip to the kiosk or ticket counter. The entire time I was in the terminal, I kept thinking I was doing something wrong. I showed the e-ticket to security and the gate agent; that’s it!! Updates. There were many reminders as appropriate. This include: Check in 24 hrs prior Gate information Departure and arrival updates Boarding advisories Luggage advisories The app has a lot of great features, some found in other airline apps, some not. Some of these features include: Purchase tickets Update personal information needed to fly and TSA Flight tracking Terminal maps with GPS location to navigate the terminal Show boarding pass without logging into smartphone Skymile data ...and more. This is a must have app to fly in today’s electronic world.

I spent over 45 min on the phone while the representative helped me use miles to upgrade my flight to first class....I verbally confirmed with her numerous times that the amount of miles she quoted would upgrade myself and my co-traveler to first class for the flight to our destination as well as our return flight. Upon getting ready to check in I see our seats are in row 34....not quite first class. After waiting 2 hours for a call back to rectify this I was met with a “sorry, you should have checked on this”. The reps supervisor instructed the rep to let me know it was my fault, even through I had confirmed (again multiple times with the rep that did the upgrade a month ago). There were 3 open seats in first class at the time of this call and delta offered no help in this situation. For a customer that flys often forbvoth work and vacation they sure helped me make my next flight not be on delta.

I am so beyond upset and frustrated with Delta Airlines. I bought a round trip flight back to Oregon for thanksgiving, already paying over $300 to get home for the holidays. Unexpectedly, on Tuesday before Thanksgiving my uncle passed away. I took the first one way flight I could find to get home to my family. I was unaware that because I missed the first flight, my return flight was cancelled as well EVEN THOUGH I HAD ALREADY PAID FOR IT, i did not receive anything via email or phone stating that my flight home was cancelled. I spoke to 6 different people who had absolutely no empathy. Even after providing the funeral home information, one representative stated that my story had changed.. she stated that I mentioned in the first call that it was my father passed away, which I NEVER said (check the recording.) I was in tears trying to get on a flight that I HAD ALREADY PAID FOR and spoke with 6 horrible, rude representatives all lacking empathy. I will be sure to NEVER fly delta again after this horrible and emotionally draining experience and I will tell everyone I know, including my company with over 30,000 employees to never fly Delta again. I am absolutely horrified that this is the way you treat your customers.

Very inefficient when trying to change an existing reservation. There are 2 ‘go back’ arrows you press the wrong one, you have to start your whole. So if you click on the flight you potentially may change to, it will calculate the change fee and price difference, and new total. If you want to compare a price with a different Day, you have to start the search all over again. It just doesn’t make sense. People these day need to be able to make changes themselves and see their options. This app makes it very difficult to do that. Then if you call the phone center. They are even more useless. It seems their computers are really old, and their price quotes are always like $3000 more than the prices I found. Their computers automatically just pick the most expensive flight to quote to customers. Then if you tell them about the flight you found. It takes them like 30 minutes to be able to pull it up themselves. It is infuriating. I am happy that eventually Delta wants to phase out all of the customer service people and replace them with an AI program. So, I suppose it doesn’t make sense for them to update them computer programs they are working with.

Weeks after the death of my husband and having made it through Christmas, I thought I was able to stumble through all the “firsts”. New Year’s Eve morning I realized I could not do New Year’s Eve alone and ER doctor daughter working, other daughter back in Vegas, friends all with plans. Spontaneously, I called a Delta agent and cried and explained why I could not stay alone (plus 15 degree below windchill in MI). I was not as strong as I thought and needed to get away. She took so much time and helped me plan an immediate trip to FL, with such good suggestions and I decided on Ft Lauderdale. I stayed at a beautiful hotel right on the ocean in 78 degrees and sun! On boarding I began crying and a flight attendant paid special attention and even wrote me a beautiful supportive note on a Delta napkin that I still have. There’s even more but this is getting too long! I have told everyone I can about Delta with a Heart! ❤️

I had gotten on my flight to Ft Myers when I realized I left my laptop at security and I asked the attendant if she could call over to see if they could secure it. She says “oh no, you go get your laptop”. I was so surprised that she said they’d wAit but I felt stupid to leave my laptop after given this kind of response from staff. I ran to the gate and made great timing coming back to the gate in less than 7 minutes. I watched the gate close as I ran for my life to make that flight to Ft Myers to address a family emergency which is the reason for my flight. They had taken my bags off the plane and threw them aside with my stuff falling out of it. When I asked for help to the staff that said they would wait, they said “that was on you. You didn’t have to go”. Given the fact that I’m traveling for a family emergency and timing is if the essence I would have never gone had I not been encouraged to by staff. Well then I found out that they gave my seat to someone else. In what, 5 minutes? Heartbreaking experience and quite frankly customer abuse. I’ve never been treated worse in my life. The app is great. Well, most of the time. I should have known better. The first leg of my flight was delayed and, when the plane landed, I had 20 minutes to deplane and catch the next flight. No problem. The app said it was the next gate over in the same terminal. Whew! So, plenty of time to go to the bathroom, right? Double checked the app and now it says I’m supposed to go to the next terminal. Ugh. Down the stairs, just missed the train, ran to the next gate. The screen at the gate shows the next plane to my destination leaves in 90 minutes. What??!? Raced around to find a departure screen and lo and behold, my flight really was leaving where I just deplaned. Ran back to the previous terminal. If you’re tracking with me you’re thinking what I’m hoping won’t be true. The gate is now shut, the ramp pulled away and the plane sitting there just like it was mocking me. So, this is the last time I EVER rely on the app. Why the two databases aren’t synced is a mystery. You would think it would be reliable but I hope someone else benefits from my learned lesson. DO NOT RELY on the app.
Use it for managing booked flights, but limited options when booking

Definitely worth downloading, as it provides all tools for managing your booked flights. I would recommend to use browser when booking though, especially when your dates are flexible and you want to see prices for +/- several days. Sometimes leaving or coming back just a day earlier or later results in drastic difference in price. The browser allows to select “flexible dates” and provides the grid view with prices, which gives you a good idea about the various flight costs during a particular time period. At the time is this writing there is no such option in the app. Only one departure and arrival date can be chosen at a time; to see prices for various dates one has to enter them manually for every flight price check, which takes forever and doesn’t provide the overall picture at a glance, like booking via browser does.

I have been a long time DL Customer for several years, approaching 3M miles. Over all my experience has been very positive. Great Airline, Great People, Great Customer Service. One of my negative impressions are the changes that DL made to their FF Program. Hard for me to completely understand when a lower level FF Customer who purchases a slightly higher or higher coach class ticket receives priority over a Diamond Flyer. As a Corporate Flyer we are asked to book our flights at least 14 days out, which usually results in a lower coach fare compared to a fare that was booked “late”. I have had on several occasions received a personal apology from a flight attendant. One time the flight attendant wrote me a personal note apologizing that I did not receive at least a DL comfort seat. One flight attendant showed me all of the Silver, Golds and Platinum’s that were seating in DL Comfort or 1st Class. DL is rewarding fare not loyalty. Just my impressions and experience this year.

This is the best airline for a single handicap person to use! There’s always a wheelchair for me within a few minutes. The persons who push me to my gate are extremely courteous and will always stop at the restroom or store so I can get water! They are the best! My ONLY complaint last year was the fact that they wheeled me from check-in up to the concourse at Detroit Metro and dropped me off with 25 others in wheelchairs and there we sat. After over half an hour I got up to the counter and informed them that my flight would be boarding in half an hour and I STILL needed to go through security! They did jump into action as there were 3 in wheelchairs on my flight back to Ft Myers, Fl. I was rushed through security and got to my gate as they were boarding. No one ever told us WHY we were dumped together in a holding area and just sat there. Otherwise, my flight was great!

Yesterday .. I had to change my flight for a day later leaving SPOKANE headed back to Los Angeles ...so I could watch my sick baby niece so my sister could get to her new job . I explained to the delta representative what my situation was ... I had originally wanted to fly on a Saturday but the flights were triple the cost for that day . ... somehow .. the delta rep was able to shift over my flight and didn’t charge me anything ... NOT ANYTHING .. they have consistently been way about average in customer service . Last year when we had all the fires in Southern California .. we had to change flights something like 4 times because the situation kept changing ... they didn’t charge us a change fee and waived all of them during that period ... whoever is making policy over there is doing a stellar job .. being able to be flexible at the corporate level when it is warranted is such a plus ... customers don’t want to feel like they are being grinded into the ground .. especially when there are extenuating circumstances . Thx delta .. you are my number one choice !! Now just add more LAX to Spokane non stop flights .. you guys operate the ONLY LAX-GEG-LAX flights and they are always full !! I say you need to add more ... especially flight back to LAX that leaves later than 6:45 am ... say 10:00 am ?
An amazing app but a critical missing feature for Watch

Delta has all around the best airline app out there. Extremely useful from booking to boarding. I once booked a ticket in the app using Apple Pay and it took less than a minute total. Truly seamless and with an intuitive design. But there’s just one thing I can’t wrap my head around: the poor Apple Watch app bundled with the iPhone app. While Delta’s app for iPhone is far superior to its competitors, the Watch app lags behind. American, JetBlue, and United all offer a useful watch app that includes a Watch face complication for quick viewing of up to date information on seat, gate, and boarding time just by raising your wrist. Delta’s Watch app lacks this, and even loading the watch app itself (not the missing complication) provides a clunky experience that rarely loads and lacks useful information.

I was flying from Rochester, MN, to Boston through Atlanta the Saturday after Thanksgiving. As my plane was taxiing to the gate in Atlanta, the app notified me that my connecting flight had been delayed. I was given the option of changing my itinerary at no extra charge and was given several alternatives. I chose to switch although I would now have another extra stop. I was seated in the center seat on both new flights but the seats were comfortable. By using the track my baggage feature, I was learned that my bag was coming later on the original flight. In the end I arrived in Boston only eight minutes after my original scheduled time. Because I knew my bag was not with me, I was able to go directly to the baggage service counter and have my bag delivered to my home. It arrived just as I was getting up the following morning. Great app!! Good job, Delta!!

The Delta app is far and away the best and most beautiful airline app I’ve used. I especially LOVE the ability to swap between classes when booking (such that I can fly first outbound and Comfort+ inbound) - SO convenient. That said, I really wish Delta would introduce something like United’s MilePlay, where every month or so you get a new challenge that earns you miles + encourages you to travel with the airline. I’m always looking for a reason to go somewhere and MilePlay definitely gets me to spend. Another thing that would be AMAZING is the ability to save/monitor flights! I like to be able to save a flight and then be notified when the price has changed. It also helps to keep track of flights that I should be buying so I don’t forget. Some things to think about!!
Awful Experience

We are heading back to Atlanta from flight 2398. It was delayed, we were then deplaned, and we were told no fewer than eleven times we would be boarding “in five to fifteen minutes”. Over five hours later we were told by a delta employee “I have no idea whether you’re leaving tonight, you should get a new flight and book a hotel.” We, including my toddler (and I am seven and a half months pregnant) were told different stories every time we asked for information. We’re spending tons of money on extra food and cabs, and we need to fly to a different airport then Newark in order to leave Atlanta in the morning, meaning we wil need to take more time out of our day to go to Newark and get our bag. We are on vacation this week and Delta is RUINING it. Not only should you pay for all the taxis, food, and inconvenience, but our whole flight should be refunded and we should be given points. I’m in a ton of pain from lugging a carseat, toddler, and baby IN UTERO and your employees offered no honest information or assistance. You should be ashamed and disgusted with yourselves.

I have been flying on other airlines and used their app all the times. While using the Delta’s app, I didn’t felt good about these. I hope all unfamiliar people find it same. Because apps are meant to be used by novice people, but Im myself a Mobile Application Developer, I found it very hard or not good. These are my suggestions: 1. The dark color theme is good while traveling; but Me personally control the brightness of my mobile screen - all the time. Because you care so much about the battery life while traveling and having very Dark text and colors, frequently I had to brighten up my screen. But if we will have some light theme, even if I put low brightness-it will be visible. I know people, this sounds what! But when you are travelled long and tou don’t have charge on your phone. Then you will understand why. 2. I couldn’t even find Entertainment option in the App!! What! When you connect to wifi is that a only place to find entertainment option? I navigated through the app to find that Button 🤣 but still couldn’t find it. 3. I tried to write these as feedback but I ended up writing them as review. I never wrote any reviews on app store. But I throught I should write to make it more better for Everybody like me. 4. Added the boarding passes on Wallet. But if seats changed, wallet still shows the last seat. Its not updating. It was very confusing. Ended up asking at the gate what is my seat? Hope this gets some serious attention.

I called tonight asking about my travel in the morning. I am a sky miles member and hold status in the medallion program as well. I was curious as to why my automatic upgrade was not available for myself and my amazing better half that leaves for a trip that I gifted to him in the morning. The rep wasn’t so helpful, so I asked for the supervisor. He explained why and immediately had the solution. This trip I gifted my love is very important to me. A very dear friend that he misses terribly is there and they recently were able to reconnect. My love and I have been together for 17 years. I am so thankful to the person I spoke to tonight that was able to get us into delta comfort and had a solution. I always receive such wonderful service with Delta. Thank you for again making my experience pleasurable.
Booking a ticket is completely broken

Let me start by saying that I’ve been using this app for several years. 1. Apple Pay is completely broken and just doesn’t work. I do not trust them to not get hacked and have my credit card and identity get stolen, so I was excited when I saw the option to use Apple Pay. It just doesn’t work, and has not for any of the many tickets I’ve booked over the years. It always gives an error saying Oops! Please enter a valid billing address. A billing address is selected when using Apple Pay, and there is no place in the app to enter a billing address when using Apple Pay! 2. When paying with a credit card, the payment screen is incredibly buggy and I always have to reenter information because it either didn’t take the first time, or it wouldn’t let me select a previous line in the form, forcing me to back out to the previous page and start over. NOTHING makes me trust that they’ll keep my information secure when even the form to enter in the payment information bugs out constantly. 3. There is no tech support or way to submit these bugs. Calling customer service in the app gets you connected to a general customer service agent who is only trained to book flights, and keeps repeating that they don’t know what I’m talking about when I ask them to submit a bug report for Apple Pay not working. Please delta, fix your app. This is embarrassing, even my tiny local credit union app works better than this piece of crap.

My flight was delayed 3 times so I missed my next flight. I waited at the airport for over 3 hours then went home. I took a half day off work for nothing and had to have my husband wake up at 4am to drive me the next day. That is fine, I understand stuff happens. But they would not give me a seat (even though I had one on the first flight) and I called to ask for one and I waited to give my “feedback” response and waited on hold for over 40 min. I actually took a screenshot because I couldn’t believe it. How is that possible? They don’t care about me because I don’t fly with them enough (I do fly with delta as much as possible before this). She kept telling me that it was up to the airport at this time; that is crap because I was getting a drink with a guy who flies delta and his flight was changed and they got him fixed straight away. Just tell me you don’t give a crap about me and don’t put me on hold for over 40 min so I don’t give a crap review. That is just more frustrating
Missing Dark Mode and Slide Over

The new UI incorporates a lot more bright white screens. That is super jarring for any user running dark mode in iOS 13. Please allow for the UI to change dynamically between light and dark to match the system state. The app should also take advantage of the new slide over/split screen functionality on the iPad. The app is currently to spread out and hard to use on the larger iPad Pros, but with slide one it would look just like the iPhone version! That would be so nice to have because then the app would be much more useful when having to have safari, calendar, email, etc. open at the same time. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a very loyal Diamond Medallion and the Delta app is considerably better than other airlines - but as the app gets better and I use it more, these other features matter even more to me. Especially because the Delta website is considerably worse than the app when it comes to mobile interaction and information consumption.

Overall this app is very good; however, I think there is one major flaw when booking flights. After logging into the app and finding flights to book, the next step is to fill out all my personal information, including my skymiles number — even though I am logged into my app and you have all that information. This means I have to go back out to the home screen, copy my number, and go back through booking. On my last trip I planned to add the number later and forgot, so I had to request acknowledgment of those miles later through the website and wait for approval. It would be very helpful to link the traveler information screen with personal account information, similar to how the website works. Then I would give this app 5 stars!
Checks you in without asking when you launch the app

This is a very good app but it automatically checks you in as early as the day before if you open the app (without asking). For me that is always a bad idea. I hope they change this or make it a configurable setting. I never check in early because the nature of my business forces me change flights at the last minute sometimes. Today I desperately needed to change my flight but delta wouldn’t let me (on line or in the app) because I had already inadvertently “checked in” yesterday when I looked at the app just wanting to check my departing flight time. Couple that with a 2 hour wait to talk to someone at delta to see if I could get a later flight forced me to take my original flight and leave my customer when I really needed to stay a few more hours. I really can’t see how it benefits me to “check in” for a flight the day before.
Terrible service at Atlanta

I was extremely disappointed with Delta’s customer service at Atlanta Airport today during the power outage. Delta did not offer any help to stranded customers during the ten hour power outage; no food or water in the terminal or lodging assistance for spending the night. Also, when the power was restored at 11:30 pm we waited over 90 minutes for a Delta counter agent to show up and start assisting passengers rebook flights, and then there was very little help available. It seemed like there was very little preparation during the ten hour power outage to prepare for recovery. One counter agent commented that most of the other agents were sent home. I realize that Delta was not responsible for the power outage, but they should have been responsible for taking better care of their stranded passengers

It is frustrating that Delta has not taken care of all possible scenarios in the design of this app. I used the app recently while on a flight and as network was not available, the app forced me to the login screen and cleared the user ID and password fields. Subsequent logins require you to remember the password which is really frustrating as the password policies are not standard as well . ( they don't allow special characters in the password). Further there is no Touch ID integration enabled which is utterly surprising . Finding the options to reset the password was a pain. It took a while for me to figure out that I need to click on "login help" as I was looking for a "Forgot Password "option. I can help with further inputs if needed to fix this and many more frustrating issues .
Satisfied but still room for improvement

I enjoyed everything about the flight. While some hosts and hostesses were phenomenal, two younger hosts seemed like they could work on their people skills in handling difficult issues e.g. one lady stuck her foot in the aisle and while this was not good, he could have spoken to her more politely. I have been on Southwest and still feel like they still beat Delta in this regard. The second host when I asked for lots of cream in my tea just poured what he felt without honoring that I wanted more cream in my tea. One of the hosts was phenomenal as space ran out and people put their luggage in the overhead cabin and the customers were about to blame each other When he stepped in and resolved the conflict and made each feel like they were appreciated. This good host was the older black man.

I appreciate the new patent check-in feature, but a few bugs and workflow issues were there. Checking in to Air France I had to re-enter my passport information. Small but annoying because you have it. A million times you have it. Plus I couldn’t add baggage. Maybe that’s on purpose, but then tell me. The last thing was I couldn’t add the boarding passes to my wallet. And one last gripe is that I saw people on Reddit saying the C+ upgrade option had the “only if seat preference available” option, but I couldn’t find it. Maybe because I’m currently international, but I would really like that option. I hate having to try and go back and claim an aisle in economy when I get “upgraded” to a center seat. Generally I like the application. Makes traveling so much easier; however these few little quirks will keep it at a 4 for now.
Doesn't update flight info (useless) + crashes

App crashed five minutes before boarding time and then we had to wait for everyone to get printed boarding passes at the gate. ~~~ My flight was delayed four hours (still hasn't boarded) and the gate has changed several times. The app is STILL displaying the original gate; NONE of the text alerts have included gate info and there was no announcement about the final change...Not to mention that the gate we are now using isn't displaying my flight and we have a new flight #. Why change the flight number? But then NOT update it on the app, or the text alerts? I don't see the point of the app if the information doesn't update in real-time. This makes an already stressful situation more frustrating.
Another change for the worse

This used to be a great app, but recent changes have really hurt it. The today screen is useless, going there automatically when you want to go to another trip. Especially annoying when you just closed that trip a minute ago. The app looses your boarding pass about every third trip (thankful for passbook) and blanks it out in the boarding queue leading to a long re login while those in line behind you look at you like you're an idiot for not having a boarding pass. I just downloaded the latest version and Delta has made it even worse. It is pretending to constantly update your seat assignment even when there is no change. But more annoying is the elimination of multi user accounts meaning you have to enter the full account number every time you swap between you and your wife's account. Don't update the app. This one is a bad one.

I enjoy having the flight attendants being in the aisles asking passengers if they need help with knowing their connection gate information. Overall I am satisfied with Delta however I typically experience a hiccup on at least one leg of my flights. Anything from a seat that won’t go back, the entertainment system doesn’t work or the tray table is loose. My flight today back from Austin to Detroit my seat back slowly slipped back into the upright position every time I pushed it back. I just go with the flow as it’s small stuff, but sometimes it’s annoying. Again. I have been loyal to delta for many years as is my husband but I appreciate you asking for feedback. It helps keep you focused on better serving your customers so we do stay loyal. Thank you.

It would seem that many Apple Store users do not appreciate that they are supposed to be writing a review of the app and not about Delta performance, customer service, operations, etc. The most recent app provides much more functionality, including the ability to book a trip. Having experienced a misconnection because of weather (and LGA congestion and construction), I liked being able to track my checked baggage through the app. I do have one problem, though. The app has consistently started to check me in should I open it when I have a flight eligible for checkin. I am perfectly able to decide when I wish to check myself in. Perhaps I do not know how many bags I am going to check when I open up the app or maybe I want to see if any seats have opened up. Or maybe I want to book a trip. Maybe it is not designed to this, but it seems to be happening.
Delta Baggage Service

It’s only when I occasionally fly a different airline that I am reminded how outstanding Delta’s baggage service has become. The “your bag was loaded on Flight 1234’ text and the “your bag is being delivered to Carousel 3” text are customer centered thinking, and the “20 minutes after landing” delivery guarantee is always exceeded. Our bags are almost always at the bag claim before we walk there from the plane. I honestly can’t figure out how they do that. It is such a huge improvement over the old agonizing wait times (that other airlines still put you through) and bags just don’t get lost or mis-delivered any more. Whoever redesigned Delta Baggage a few years ago, you have my hearty thanks and my admiration. I don’t know how you do it, but I sure appreciate it.
Great app but buggy when flight delays happen

Overall great app. 90% of it works great. Couple of things need work. 1. If you are rescheduled on an alternative flight due to delay the app co-mingles old and new flight information. For example I am on a morning flight. Boarding time shows 21:50 which is last nights flight. 2. Very hard to standby for an alternative flight or rebook through the app when you have a misconnect which is a pity as it forces you to rely on airport staff. If the app were easier to use maybe the lines would be shorter at the airport. 3. Standby for an individual flight as part of an itinerary is impossible to do on the app. (Alaska has nailed this function). For example flight delay on segment one. Want to standby for a flight that will still make the connection in Atlanta. No way to do that through the app.

I have been flying Delta regularly for years. I know I will always have a good trip, even if I have four reroutes due to weather. Staff manage to maintain composure when I am sure they should blow up. I know that not everyone is perfect and there are those few people who are grumpy or agitated- but I figure I have days I am not as nice as I want to be. I try to give the cranky staff member a pass-and remember they have lives that exist outside of their jobs. I realize it could be a partner or spouse is sick but that staff person has to work. Maybe it was a rough day dealing with some other major issue. When I can’t let go of the staff members attitude towards me or others I write a complaint and go back to enjoying my trip. Delta is great in so many ways for me. Thank you!

I fly to Birmingham and Pensacola frequently now to visit my children one of whom is in the military. I have always flown Delta but recently have encountered problems that is making me consider switching airlines. 1) you recently canceled the nonstop flight out of Birmingham to LaGuardia Airport at 6 AM which caused the rest of the day November 5 to be overbooked. If someone had looked at the college football calendar they would have noticed it's a huge SEC game of Alabama versus LSU. 2) in addition my flight home on the Friday after Thanksgiving from Pensacola was canceled at 6:30 PM and now I get to less hours with my son who is in the military because I have to fly home at 4:30 PM 3) stop at nickel and diming me for baggage fees and seats. If I buy a seat on your airline I should get a seat assignment this is not south west
Rude agent

In booking the bereavement tickets to my home for the passing of my grandmother, I dealt with an agent that was not similar to the kind of customer service I’m used to experiencing from Delta. I used to be a heavy traveler for work, and always made it a point to fly Delta. Almost every single one of the persons I came across was very accommodating and polite. The agent who booked my flights not only laughed at me when booking the flights, scoffed at my comment that I was used to better customer service from Delta, but made remarks when discussing my flight arrangements. I’m normally a fairly calloused person, but experiencing the death of my grandmother, whom I was close to was painful. This gentleman made the experience worse. My flights were outstanding as normal with Delta. One agent in Atlanta even helped my sister out by putting her in a seat that was open, since she was bringing a lap child. That was the type of customer service we’re used to. Thank you for your tome.
The old version was better

I have been a loyal Delta customer for years and the app has been essential for making sure everything goes as planned. The most recent update of the app is visually unappealing, cluttered, and dysfunctional. Gone are the soothing professional blue backgrounds. The app is now a chaotic mess of purple, red, and bright white. This new color scheme is visually unappealing, distracting, and gives me a headache. The my trips section bombards me with ads for upgrades, rather than the former subtle upgrade ad in previous versions. The white and other color schemes does not represent Delta’s premium focus, which was much better represented in the old app. Developers should really consider reworking the color schemes in this app because for now I will stop using the app.
Very disappointing

I Purchased a business class ticket from Jacksonville Florida to Buenos Aires Argentina round-trip. In general I was very disappointed with the leg going from Jacksonville to Atlanta Did general music and entertainment system did not work and all I got was just a shrug of the shoulders and that’s it the music didn’t work and I was flying first class in the second leg the food was pretty bad and again the entertainment system was very very poor in general the comfort of the Business class seat was of a lower level than the business class seat in American Airlines. Just not a very pleasant experience. Furthermore I thought it was very very irritating that you have a chance to review the flight only one day or a few hours after you finish your trip. That is ridiculous in the very few hours that they give you you’re just going to sleep and recovering fromThe long trip and then when you go to reviewing it tells you that it’s just too late you cannot review it. That is Utterly ridiculous.

I am a software salesman and now, 64 years old. I have been flying Delta since before there were any frequent flyer programs. 44 countries and over 150 cities. I have flown every major airline in the United States and many that are no longer in existence. Airplanes can be the same or similar, but it is Delta’s people that make the difference. I love what I do and I love to travel. I have lived in several U.S. states, São Paulo, Brazil and Tokyo, Japan and Delta has been my travel partner every step of the way. Today, I am flying Delta from Phoenix to Sioux Falls, South Dakota and back home, but always with Delta. No company is perfect, but since 1979, Delta has been an important, reliable and friendly choice for all my air travel. Working on 5 million!

Need to have better assistance at the Honduras Airpot . I lost my flight because I had inconvenience getting to the Sap Airport in Honduras and I still had 1 hour left to catch my flight when I got to the airport and because there was no one who could assist me on the lower level and no one could notify the staff on on upper level I stood on the lower level helpless just hearing how they were calling the business class , 1st zone and so on and not being able to catch my flight. I am very dissatisfied with your staff and the way the service you at the Sap Airport. I know you have to get to the airpot 3hours early but what if the buss brakes down or if people are blocking the main roads or if the traffic was really bad or any inconvenience occurs but you do your best to catch your flight and still have time people are not even boarding yet but you can catch your flight because of the lack of staff and service. Hope one day you improve how your staff service tourists here at the Sap Airport Honduras.
Flying Delta

I have flown several other airlines going to and from Michigan. The last two times there was either a snow storm or hurricane. The first time I was unable to get in touch with the airlines (not Delta) for two days and finally booked a flight home on Delta. This time, I booked Delta round trip. Hurricane came and I had to reschedule my flight home. I called Delta and it only took maybe ten minutes for them to change my flight with no extra fees. The last time I was on a different airline and had to actually pay for a whole new flight home on Delta bc could not get flight on the airlines I flew in on. From now on, Delta is my preferred airlines. The Delta App is wonderful. I hit button to check in and it’s done! Always fly Delta!
Worse than other airline apps

I also use JetBlue, Finnair, British Airways, and several others and they are all more logical and easier to use than this app. Even the United app, which is no picnic, is better. Problems: Every time I want to look up something or change something on a flight I have to ‘find’ it by giving the confirmation number or other identifier. If I have two different flights booked I can only deal with one of them and if I want to even look at information for the other one I have to give the confirmation number. The moving screen advertising upgrades is annoying. There appears to be no way to see all my flights at the same time. The whole app seems very counter-intuitive. I found it difficult and time consuming to figure out where information was and how I could, for example, change seats. I surprised that most people rated this app so highly. Unless you’re all shills.
