My daughter had overdosed on pills and the police couldn’t locate her but I remembered while in Thailand that I had this app. I turned the app on only to find her just down the hill from our home in a Starbucks bathroom where police said she wasn’t at. It’s this app that found my child and my son went directly to Starbucks and she was locked in a bathroom. This app literally saved her life!!

It’s ok
by liv08xX on 2019/05/21 01:29
It’s ok because it notifies you when you need to be notified but I honestly don’t like the effort put into the app so much. I don’t like the “effort” because it doesn’t explain that much of what is going on with your family members or friends. Sincerely , unknown
New update
by PhotoMom2014 on 2019/05/21 01:03
I don’t like the new update. The older version I could always see each location place regardless if someone from my circle was there. Now I can’t see them on the map.

My husband and I have had this app for years and when sobriety was questionable this app acted as accountability for him that saved his life. This app also has been benefiting us with working for his boss years later after we concord sobriety. Knowing exactly how many hours he was at work as proof. Thank you life 360. #Reallifesituations

Disappointed
by Solyfig76 on 2019/05/20 21:19
When I first got this app I was relieved to have an app that keeps track of my 10 year old in real time. For a few months now I’ve been very very disappointed because the app hasn’t been tracking my son at all. Whenever I open the app to track my son going to and from school it shows my son at home when in reality he’s at school. To the developers, PLEASE help. The only peace of mind I have is knowing where my son is at all times.

Battery drain and tech messages
by HPeaches on 2019/05/20 16:30
I pay for the upgraded version and have found that it drains the batteries of everyone on my circle. This causes a problem if I need it for locations and driving history later in the day for one of my kids and their batteries are almost dead on their phones....then the app won’t give me their info at all. Also, sending messages for tech help or questions results in them replying back to me but I am unable to find out where to get the dang thing. Very frustrating all around. Searching for another app that does what this one promised is in the works.

by JennyJenJen-Duh on 2019/05/20 16:23
I use this to check in on my daughter when she’s out and about, I feel that the app needs to be more accurate on their locations. A few times daughter’s location was off and I was on the verge of taking her phone away, but when I went to check in on her she was where she was supposed to be.

I love this app and so do my parents. I no longer need to call my parents to know where they are. My parents love that they can always know where I am. The trigger help alert also gives me relief that I can always tap for help especially because I take the NYC subway which can be dangerous.

Of all the apps I have on my iPhone the life 360 app is by far the most important one. I have two grandkids 12 & 13 that also have life 360 app. I know where they 100% of the time.

Love it!!! But...
by snail10237 on 2019/05/19 22:34
I love life 360 definitely recommend. Glitches sometimes but not often. I want to know if y’all could partner with Amazon Alexa, so that people can ask Alexa where someone is. Like “Alexa where is Caroline?” This would make it a lot easier for many people if they are home and cannot get to their phone. I think it is a cool idea but I’m not a business or technological person so reply if you think it’s a possibility. Thanks!

Can’t locate
by cdubb5 on 2019/05/19 20:51
I used to love this app but for about 3 weeks now it does not update location. It tells me “____ cannot be located” almost every time I look at the app. Randomly I will open it and it updates their location on its own. All my permissions are on. It wasn’t a problem before I switched to an iPhone. Please assist.

Perfect for my mother who has dementia
by AmandaBrown2205 on 2019/05/19 18:49
This app is the solution I needed for my older mom who has dementia, but is not to the point of not being able to drive. This gave us piece of mind that she was safe, but also gave her the independence she is still striving to maintain.

This app. Is fantastic. Helps me know where my children are. Even worked when they were overseas.
It’s okay
by Txgirlmoon on 2019/05/19 16:17
It’s not very accurate. Today it told me my daughter had left the house and she was at home with her phone in her hand sitting next to me on the couch. And it tells me she is home when she is 5 minutes away.
Great app, has some issues though
by gilgane on 2019/05/19 16:11
I’ll make this short. The app works great, but there are still issues with the GPS, it doesn’t update right away (sometimes take a day or 2 till it updates). The GPS is the biggest issue though, sometimes it shows the location of a family member as being near or at a different point when they aren’t even there. If you could please fix the GPS please I would greatly appreciate it

Helpful App
by smartmatt1971 on 2019/05/19 13:26
Enjoying this app. Use it to check on family. Only issue is when I see a family member go to different places the app shows lines as if they went thru the woods, water and not all proper roads. The GPS part is not very accurate and updated when checked. I check a family member and they are already in a different location before the app updates. It’s a helpful app but it’s never been more than 80% accurate. Would also be great if when drilling down on map and see places nearby you can touch and access that location just like on Google Maps as a one stop shop. I want to try Google Location sharing with family to see how accurate that is compared to Life360.
Confused
by ferrillr on 2019/05/19 12:39
For most of my family, this app works great. However, on my daughter’s phone, the location accuracy is way off. For example, it might say she arrived home when she’s in a completely different part of the world. Just last week we were vacationing at the beach and she was sitting right next to me when Life360 said she arrived home. I don’t get it!

Paying to be robbed
by JDoubleU7 on 2019/05/18 17:11
This company is charging you to profile your driving and location habbits under the guise of being helpful. That isn't where they make their money though. They make it selling your personal information and selling it to an insurance company for starters, who will they find to buy your data next? Don't brush it off and support these companies that are legally hacking your data and selling it to whomever you want. Any tracking they have done on you, that info is owned by them and who knows who else might own besides State Farm. Life360 shame on you!

by AlyssaMiaGrace on 2019/05/18 08:04

Best APP Ever!
by MyDogRodeo on 2019/05/18 06:36
This is honestly hands down a life saver. My husband and I both work jobs in the community, and there were many restless nights continuously worrying about him. This app allows anxiety to be lowered, and for both of us to know our locations relevant to our careers. At first it get like it would be too personal, but that’s not the case at all. You can setup notifications for popular spots; home, work, and etc. These spots give you the option to be alerted when they arrive and leave. All in all, we’ve had this app for a year and it’s taken a lot of strain off our relationship, especially with my husbands job.
Loved it at first but now not so sure

The truth
by Nay.Al on 2019/05/18 00:02
My mother knows about who I am now and what I have done. I’m glad she does I’ve had this app since I was 15. I got kicked out of the house and I found ways around the app, just turning off the data before leaving anywhere and say my phone died. Ever since I turned 18 I’ve had her location but she no longer has mine. If I wanted to see anyone I just asked them to come to my place since I have her location at all times and ask them to leave before she showed up. I was glad I wasn’t allowed outside and had a dog to warn them if I left, I was a very troublesome kid.
I pay for this.... not happy for the last 2 weeks

I have 2 teenage boys and a husband who inspects roofs for a living. This app has been great for tracking them to make sure everyone is safe and where they should be, until about 2 weeks ago. It won’t update their locations for HOURS! You have put out 2 updates & it hasn’t helped! My son was involved in a wreck 3 days ago. No crash detection. ☹️ I pay for this app. I don’t like paying for something that doesn’t work!

Much delayed update of location info.
by CHuang33 on 2019/05/17 16:44
When we just started using this app it was very accurate and always updated (real-time) with everyone’s locations. Unfortunately after generations of updates the accuracy has never been consistent. Very often I saw that one of my family members “Left the house” alert when they left one hour ago, or that someone was with me but our locations showed 20 miles apart which was from 2 hours ago. When it was very accurate and always reflected real time info, we loved it and were amazed by this app. Life360, please improve the real time info accuracy. Thank you very much.

Since 3 days ago, I have been having weird things happen, including a member of one circle who is not an admin, connecting with a no admin member of an entirely different circle. This is a problem. Tracking has been quite good in the past, but since last update, location tracking is not as accurate. I’ve paid for full features. Now second guessing my purchase....hope developer fixes issues..
Not working
by Merrrce on 2019/05/17 10:42
The app has not worked since Monday. It showed my daughter at her high school all week long. I deleted the app from both our phones, both IOS versions are up to date, reloaded the app, I'm asking so deleted her and then requested to add her again.... Now she's in NYC on a school trip and it shows she's at home.
GPS issues
by ramirex1 on 2017/09/30 13:55
*Updated review* I heard back from the developers and the GPS Issue I had has been resolved, THANK YOU! I am so satisfied with this app & as I have said before, I recommend it to friends & family! - I've had this app for almost a year and have been satisfied with it until recently we (my family & I) started having some issues with the accuracy of our locations and places we were shown as having been when we we're never in those areas. As I wanted to get this app as I have two teens I wanted to test this out for myself as to not jump to conclusions and accuse anyone of not being where they say they will be. I turned off my GPS and then waited 1 day to turn it back on and now I cannot have the app recognize that the GPS has been enabled once again. I have deleted the app as per the instructions and re-installed it, I have restated my phone (I have an iPhone 6s Plus) and followed those instructions. I have gone to settings and made sure all the tabs are checked for my location including the background app refresh and the life360 still does not recognize me as having the GPS on. This is a great concern to me and I did send a message to them, and the response was "it's been sent to the developers". I really liked this app and has referred it to many friends, I truly hope this gets resolved quickly as I would like to continue using life360 and once this gets updated and fixed I will change my review.
Does exactly what it says it does.

This is a must have app for parents and anyone with dependents (either children or parents) with compromised cognitive abilities. My wife found this app and placed it on my phone after an accident left me loss of short term memory. After the accident, I would literally get lost just trying to go home. My doctor independently recommended the same app to keep track of me. We now use it for everyone in the family, and always know where our kids are, even when they are traveling in a car. It gives everyone incredible peace of mind. We don’t even have to call one another to meet up - we just use the app to track to whomever we are supposed to meet. And when someone is running late, say, to dinner, we can accurately predict when they’ll arrive by tracking their travel. It’s a really, REALLY useful app. And as the original family member for who it was purchased, it gave me great peace of mind knowing that even if I got lost, my family can track directly to me. This is a MUST HAVE for anyone with kids today, for pure safety reasons. You can track to your child’s phone in real time, without help from anyone else, which is critical in the early moments of an abduction. I actually hate most apps and find most of them useless, so I cannot overstate how surprisingly pleased I was to finally find one that’s actually very useful, very simple, very effective, and, in my case, very necessary.
Saves the day every day!

I use this to daily to see where my kids are on their commute to and from school and sports. Two of my kids go to high school in a different state and one is a walker to her school. I like seeing them er their safely without having to call them to distract them from driving. Many times, we are in carpools to sports. I can see if my kids are a few minutes away so I can warm up dinner. Or when picking up, I can locate them and click on “get directions” and it takes me right to my child. Sports complexes are big and sprawling. So this helps me locate the exact field or side of the parking lot. One time, I knew a bad storm was coming and I could see that my son was only around the corner and would be home before the storm hit. When my husband is away, I can see when his plane lands. I can meet him easily. I have used it to find my kid when we separate at the mall. So without this app, in order to find out where each person is and to get their eta .. it would take a phone call and conversation with each person. I glance at my phone and get all that in seconds. I don’t have to distract them from driving to do so. This is the most important app I have on my phone and cannot live without it. Currently, we have a snowstorm hitting us hard and school was dismissed early. I am nervously monitoring everyone on life 360 and counting down until they arrive home safely.
So far so good

Update: location accuracy has greatly improved in the last few years. For the teens that think this app is ruining something for them, get over it. We didn’t have cell phones when we were teens and this was not an option. We didn’t have Facebook, Snapchat instagram, you get it. Times are different. The overprotective parents of my time would actually follow their kids, happened to some of my friends. That was much more embarrassing than an app that just gets you an angry phone call. I would advise parents to not nitpick their kids regarding location and such. I like to know where my kids are but I’m not terribly concerned about what they’re doing. I can find them if I have to, that’s the point. Upgrading review to five stars. I like knowing where my family is but I wouldn't make an issue with exact locations. This app can give you a general idea of where someone is but is only reliable within a 1 mile range or so. My husband and I can be in the same car and it shows us a mile apart on the highway. My daughter can be anywhere on a very large campus and it still says she's at her dorm. I would say that it's great for general peace of mind, but I wouldn't use it as evidence in court. And the map seems to track every stop you make and that makes for a lot of purple dots, kind of annoying. A trip to the pharmacy looks like ten stops. Otherwise, great app.
This app is AMAZING!!!
by AngiDiamond on 2018/05/28 16:37
I only use the free app of Life360 as of right now because my daughter is only 12 and not driving as of yet. At first glance, I was a little dismayed because my daughter was a couple of blocks away and it said that she was "home" but upon closer look, I could actually continue tapping the icon where it stayed she was located and it LITERALLY showed me the building she was in and exactly where in the building she was located. It did not give me the unit number but it let me know that she was at the South East Corner of the building which was 💯% correct. It also tells me any stops that is made when she is in the car with someone else and how fast the driver is driving. The only bad part of this is that I can't give it more than 5 stars because this app is most definitely a 10! My daughter went to Mexico with her father for a long holiday weekend and I started getting sick to my stomach about it one night. I remembered that I had the app so I turned it on. At first, the app showed where she was but with no information but I kept tapping the icon with my daughter on it and it ended up showing me EXACTLY where she was in Mexico and I cannot tell you how much that meant to me. I could finally sleep and the next day, I followed them back on Life360 to make sure there were no problems at the border and that they made it home safely on one of the most dangerous Holidays of the year.
GPS issues
by Firebug4444 on 2017/11/18 22:12
Update. The gps issue has gotten worse. It has even shown my daughter was at our house 38 minutes before she was and the location notification informed me if this. She was at a restaurant streets away with a friend. I really liked this app and found it to be useful. I really hope this is corrected and soon. It is not doing what it is intended to do. It incorrectly tells me when my family has left and arrived at a location. The app has been great. Not only have I used it to help locate my family members the intention is for my family members to locate. I have a serious health issues and it will allows for my family members including my children to find me so they can get help for me. I have already found my daughter’s phone that she happened to lose. I have had the exact same issue that the other gentleman has had. GPS has inaccurately telling us we have are locations we have never been. It has told me my children are home when they are over streets away. These GPS issues become issue when they are supposed to tell us where I am so people can help me and get me help. It also helps me find my kids so I know if they are were I think they are. I see that it has been noted it is a know issue and will be corrected soon. An update was recently added, and it appears to be an ongoing issue. Is there a expected date for correction of this issue? This is a big issue and many people appreciate this app and would like to continue using it
Great App - helped teen w/Accident!!
by Maranantha on 2018/09/07 12:38
This App seems to be extremely accurate unless a phone is on low charge. We love the driving tracking feature. You can screen shoot anything to date and time it to Save the Data. It literally helped us with Insurance when one teen had an accident. We were able to prove they had not touched the phone! They were NOT texting and driving as the other irate obnoxious stigmatizing driver accused them of! We had a passenger witness but it was the App that was the final word! We were thankful and have shared that info with others. That could help ANY age driver!! I don’t like that if you put an iPhone on Low Power Mode it interrupts Location detection or if you do something else - but I won’t reveal that for teens who are reading my summary :) Kids think parents don’t trust them. I say kids - TRUST YOUR PARENTS! They have YEARS OF EXPERIENCE AND WISDOM! Parents who track their teens care! We are not helicopter parents. And it’s not that I don’t trust my kids. I don’t trust OTHER kids and that has proven to be the right “feeling” many times. It’s been nice to know my teens were somewhere with another kid we knew something about and then we were able to talk and say another teen is in a “growing phase” and it’s best you don’t hang out with them right now. You have ONE NAME in this life! And one wrong event changes lives.
Free version does all I need for 2 phones!
by wncapt2007 on 2019/04/22 02:51
I never got this b4 bc I thought I had to have a subscription (25$/yr or 3$/mo) after 7 day trial to do anything, but the free version let’s me do everything, like see a breadcrumbs history up to 2 days back and have up to 2 places for geofence auto-notify upon entry/exit like work and home, clearly I didn’t read the description well. It runs in the background, as far as I can tell, even when the app is closed, unlike other apps that need constant maintenance to keep the breadcrumbs going. And there’s no annoying ‘location being used actively’ blue banner at top like other apps. The reason this is better to actually find ur phone than find my phone/Friends is simply the breadcrumbs. If ur phone is lost, it will quickly be stolen or run out of battery, and if stolen someone probably knows to put it in airplane mode so it can’t be tracked, but at least you can tell up to that point where it was, whereas find my phone wouldn’t work at all in without a signal. And this app is quick with responses, like loading breadcrumbs, in fact the quickest of all the apps I tried, which is critical when you’re panicked about ur phone. Let’s see how it runs in a year though, all these good reviews must amount to something, right?
So thankful for this app!
by TinyHiker on 2018/10/28 12:26
I don’t write reviews, not ever. This app just changed that. My husband travels so much for work that I gave up asking where he is going when he leaves for his trips. It isn’t uncommon for him to be in 2-3 states all in one day and he does most all of his trips driving from place to place. Adding to the challenge, we have kids and various health conditions and need to always be able to reach them or each other in emergencies. Our solution was to use this app. Last week I suddenly received a text from my husband that he was in the hospital and being rushed for a cat scan with the worst abdominal pain in his life. That was his only message. He couldn’t tell me where he was, what was wrong...nothing. It was terrifying. Then I remembered we had this app. Upon checking 360 I found he was 3.5 hrs away in the state of Delaware in a local hospital there. I packed my bag, got in my car and the app took me right to him! I cannot say enough good about this app. It isn’t perfect but the piece of mind it offers to know that we can find each other relatively easily in emergencies when we sometimes can’t reach out due to pain, medications, and lack of cell service found in certain locations in hospitals give this app 5 stars hands down. Thank you 360!
Great App provides peace of mind
by Prtowle on 2018/01/13 14:29
My family has been using this app for a number of years and it provides us with great peace of mind. Rather than texting my children when they are driving I can just check the app to watch their progress and see that they get to their destinations safely. While in college my daughters both studied abroad and it was nice for me to be able to take a peek to see that they were back at their apartments at night without bugging them or laying awake worrying. Recently my daughter traveled to India by herself and while she did text us to keep us updated it was still nice to be able to see where she was. When my mother travels I can see that she gets to her hotels safely and I get alerts when my husband leaves work so I know when to expect him. Family members can check in easily. It has helped us find each other in New York City, and helped us find lost phones etc. We recommended it to a friend with an autistic son and it has allowed him to become more independent because his parents now have peace of mind as they can track his travels and see that he gets to his part time job and other destinations safely. Fortunately, we have never had to use the safety features but I love knowing they’re there if we need them.
Started out fine then took a turn for the worst.
by Mary Frances Gatewood on 2019/03/02 21:58
My family has used Life360 for almost a year, and at first it wasn’t bad, but then everything blew out of hand. Being 15, I wasn’t crazy about the idea of my parents making me use this app, but I understood that they were doing it to protect me, not hurt me. Everything was going fine at first with an occasional check in of our locations here and there, but then issues started to occur. There was constant tension that me and my siblings were attempting to deceive our parents by leaving our phones at friends houses and going to parties to avoid punishment (this wasn’t true). Then came the accusations that I wasn’t at school often because Life360 said I was across the street, which was completely false and just a glitch in the app. My parents refused to believe this and continued using Life360 as a way to find reasons to punish me and my siblings for “dishonesty” and “deceitful behavior” even though we have never done anything like that in the past and still don’t. This app definitely caused quite a few problems in my family that probably never would have occurred if we never got it. I’m sure this app is great for some families, but it can also cause problems like the ones my family faces. If you’re considering downloading this app for your family, please consider that although this app works for thousands of families, it can also cause problems like lack of trust and irrational paranoid. Download at your own risk
Great reason to download
by queen.daya on 2018/07/14 16:11
I’ve been using Life360 for a couple months now. The first time I heard this app was from one of my good friends. She told me she can like “track” her mom and dad and stuff like that. So I decided to download the app. Because my father is a truck driver and me as a daughter I get worried when it’s like 10pm and he’s not home. But know that I have Life360 I get to know where he is and when he is on his way home. Also know my mother and father will know when I enter school. Especially my mother she will be notified once I leave school so she can come pick me up since I walk home. Overall this is a great app and if you have children that you want to make sure they are able to get to school and leave school or when you want to get notified one the come and leave work. Or you have a husband/wife that want to make sure there at work or on there way home. Another reason is you can also text on the app if your child/parent does not have the data to text regularly. Also to get my mother and father in the same circle as me did not take that long so basically to assemble your circle it only take about 2-5 minuets depending how many people you want in it. That’s why I give Life360 a 5-star rating!
Really useful!
by Boopderpdinttouchmemerrr on 2018/01/17 06:37
I'm 15 years old and when my parents decided to get this app, I felt really skeptical and unsure about it. However, after having it for over a year, I think it's great! I use it for many different reasons; for example, on the weekends my entire family (parents, sister, sister's husband and son, grandparents) have different plans and you never know where anyone is! With this app, I usually do a check up on who's home, who's working, etc.. every morning when I wake up, it's really useful! Also, if I ever go to a friend's house and my parents forgot the address, they don't have to call me or text me asking for the address. They can just check where I am (and it does give an exact address along with a gps map) and come pick me up. The only trouble I've ever had is from when I was in middle school and our school had horrible service, so it would glitch out sometimes when I went to school. (Understandable, since the service is bas) Now that I'm in high school there aren't any issues. The interface also looks good and it's easy to use. To any young kids out there along with me, unless you sneak out of your house, you've got nothing to worry about. It's a really good app!
Great in many ways for many reasons
by Beagazelle on 2017/09/13 13:21
I recently had to do a missing person's in an elderly friend who is active but has health conditions. The police recommended an app like this. I had already used it to make sure my sister was safe in another state with lots of weather as she is also active but elderly. Now with some possible job scrutiny I use it to prove where I have been as well as others I interact with so that things run much smoother. If you use it as a mature adult it's great in so many ways. It's not meant to obstruct privacy it's meant for the well being of those who use the app properly and with consent to be part of a group. I just read a one star review about how this app has caused problems in the family, sounds like there are problems in the family this app can't fix. If you need help get it but don't blame the app for your obvious issues that do not pertain to the app. The post mentioned parenting but I read about preferred neglect not parenting. I like the app as it takes pressure off also when running errands and having to meet up with someone and one or the other may be running behind. All in all it's great and has great features. Thanks 360 for making my life easier!
Admin location not alerting at alert setting
by Aepalisades on 2018/01/08 12:53
The app is good but I became aware of a problem recently. My husband and I ended up at the hospital due to a suddenly ill family member. I have an alert on the hospital just for this reason- if anyone in our circle goes to the hospital, we are all immediately alerted. Great set up. So I wasn’t surprised when my daughter called (also in life 360 circle) and asked why her dad was at the hospital. But I was surprised when I asked if it showed me at the hospital and she said no. I am the one who set up the circle, so I am the admin. Apparently it doesn’t share alerts of the admin to locations that have alerts set up. I find this to be a flaw. I realize some people probably don’t want others to have alerts on their location as an admin or parent. However I think you need a tab to turn off/ on alerts for the admin so they can decide for themselves. I want my family to know if I suddenly arrive at a hospital. I may not be able to tell them if I have a heart attack, stroke, or auto accident. If not for this I’d give five stars. If I missed somewhere to turn on location notification of alert on me (admin) I’d love to know so I can fix it on my app and revise my review!
unnecessary
by Gus_Gus11 on 2018/03/03 20:02
From the viewpoint of a teenager forced to download this app, I find it disheartening as well as ironic how the majority of the adults who have downloaded this application most likely had a childhood where they could go out with friends and not come home to a game of 20 questions asking “why you stopped here for 12 minutes”, and “why do u allow your friend to drive at such a high speed”, or “why did u decide to take the long route to this place”. I am a 17 year old girl who lives in a small town within the state of Iowa. Around here, us teens go to bonfires, we go to houses and hang out with boyfriends and friends. However, due to this application, this has been limited to me. Limited to the point where I can’t even leave my house unless I plan my route, and the speed I will go on my way to a certain place. BEFORE I leave. And if I do not follow through exactly I am punished. This application causes many teens as well as myself to act out against these suffocating restrictions. To all of you parents who are downloading this app, do not be a hypocrite. If you had fun within your “teen years” let your child do the same. High School is meant to be spent with friends, and to make decisions on your own. To grow and learn. I’m tired as well as extremely annoyed at the fact that this app, along with parents like you, are trying to rip that away from us teens.
No Customer Support
by Shwatzy on 2019/03/23 22:50
I was so excited to try this app. Several people I know use the free version, and praise it. I downloaded the app to all 4 of our phones (2 adults, 2 teen drivers). I was very disappointed! First, it notifies you that your child has left 10-15 minutes after the child actually left. It lags and is behind on real time. We were told by a friend to upgrade to the paid version. We figured if we were going to pay, might as well get the best. So we opted for the more expensive “subscription”. Second, only half of our phones were allowed on the “premium” subscription, the others were not. They were only allowed on the “basic” subscription. The account was setup and created on my phone, and it was my Apple account that was going to be charged, but my phone was only allowed basic. So you pay for your entire “circle” to be on your “plan” but your lucky if you can get them on there. There is no number and no customer support!! I read numerous reviews about this same problem. They charge you, for everyone, but not everyone gets the same quality. I also read about how crappy the customer service was. I ended up deleting this app, and canceling my subscription. I hope you never have any problems or questions because they do not care!! There is no way to reach them, take your money and leave you hanging.
Life360 saved me $800
by Jqhunter on 2018/03/21 14:46
Best app ever!! Recently my wife lost her phone at a department store. With this app I was able to track the phone at a house 15 minutes away from the store. Long story short, law enforcement assisted me in making contact with the resident owner of where the phone was pinging with this app. Resident owner denied knowing anything about a lost phone. Hmmmm. We left the house and in 30 minutes I was able to track my wife’s phone again traveling back from the same house and to the same department store where my wife lost it. I was able to get to the store first before the “suspect” reached the store. Once the “suspect” arrived at the store, I recognized her from the house from where we made contact with. I approached her and told her “Do you remember me?” With her eyes wide open, she handed me the phone back and said she was sorry and was going to return the phone at the store. She even had the nerve to ask me how I was able to track the lost phone. I told her “Life360 app, dumb ### !!” I am really pleased with this app. It is very accurate and very easy to use. I can sleep well at night knowing where my family is at.
Moms with New Drivers
by AshleyB830109 on 2019/01/30 14:03
My daughter just got her license and this app gives me the peace of mind that if something were to happen, she could get the help she needs FAST! My brother had his teenage son download the app a few years back and has sworn by it since. He was involved in a nearly fatal car crash on a back road at 430am headed to get on the bus with the high school marching band for a competition...he would not have been found for hours. With this app my brother and sister in law saw that his movement had stopped in a wooded location for quite a few minutes, they tried calling him and no answer. They drove the route in his location history and found him. He had crashed his truck into a tree, and flipped. This is no sight a parent EVER wants to see. He was air lifted to a trauma center and the paramedics said had he been out there any longer he probably would not have made it. When a minute or two can be the difference between life and death, this app makes a difference. I’ll gladly pay the annual fee to know my daughter is safe and I can have some peace of mind that she has eyes on her even when I can’t be there.
The good and bad
by 2008 CRNA on 2018/02/28 11:51
First the good, great accuracy, timely alerts (sometimes they are delayed 30 seconds but that is normal for GPS), it doesn’t put a drain on your battery even when running in the background, the basic service is great for nonparents but the step up in subscription is totally worth it for peace of mind for parents. Now the bad, and it is the main reason I cant give 5 stars. The subscription model is horribly flawed. If I pay $25 per year for access to an upgraded service, it should be available on ALL my circles. As it stands now you can’t limit certain members on a circle. If you have a family circle, everyone can see your movements or no one can. If I want to make a circle separate for my aging parents, I lose all the benefits of my subscription and have to pay another $25 to have the upgraded info. How is that fair? I realize the developers need to cover their expenses but why not allow detailed sharing info so we can have one circle or include all our circles when we upgrade. I dont need my parents tracking my wife and vice versa but the only way I can have both is to combine my circle into one. I am looking for another option since this doesnt work for me. Hopefully I find something else or the developers reanalyze their pricing tier.

I am already an adult and I have plenty to say on this topic. To the creators of Life360, you’ve created quite the revolution, but this revolution has been taken too far. I come from an Asian household, and my parents forced me to download this app on a phone that I paid for with my own money, and threatened me that if I turn off my location, they would take the phone (that I paid for). There is a line that parents and children don’t cross, but this app allows parents to cross that line and monitor their children’s every move. I find that because of this app, I’m refusing to live with my parents while attending university, because this app has created a reason for me not to trust my parents because they obviously do not trust me. In the case of an emergency, I believe a person is able to contact whoever it might be in order to get help. If during the case of an emergency a phone gets damaged, there is no way to track the location if it is broken. Therefore, this app serves its main purpose for parents to track children, creating distrust between the family, ultimately breaking the family apart. I’m finding myself growing more distant because my parents keep babying me without realizing that I am an adult. To parents viewing this, please consider the implications that this app might have on your family.
Issues galore
by Bubbles weasley on 2018/07/08 06:48
Had this app for about a month now with my significant other. At first it’s not bad but immediately I started having issues with the chat. Messages will come through but not appear in the chat. My phone will get the notification but I have to close and reopen the app to actually see it and respond. The bigger issue. My significant other just called me at 2:30 in the morning because my location was sporadically glitching all over my street. As if I was sprinting around my street and the road and my backyard and literally everywhere. Super confusing. The reason we got this is so we’d have some peace of mind with the anxiety he has and is having treated. His step mother recommended the app as a tool to put his mind at rest. It has done nothing but stress each other out. I don’t like how you can turn off your location either. Defeats the whole purpose. I could understand if it was for like a child who was moved out and had a circle with their family so they can coordinate, so I won’t write that off as an issue I want fixed but just so others know who are thinking about getting the app, that’s a thing. My biggest issue right now is the inaccurate location. Huge issue.
Amazingly Done
by 7/3/18 on 2018/07/04 04:03
I have had this app for a couple of months and it still does its job telling me where my family is at. We are notified almost all the time when any of us arrive or leave home. I also really recommend this app to a family that lives with teenagers because this is the time where they want to go out with their friends, hangout, and start to grow up. With Life 360 you always know where they are and they always know where you are. I can truly tell this app was made for a porpoise to keep our families together and safe. Thank You for this app! ...oh and for the teens complaining about this app being a literal tracking device... I am sorry but this is a problem between your family and should probably explain it to your parents. I know that it might sound scary because you’re parents aren’t the most helpful but try to reason with them but also know that they lack your trust and if you are going somewhere that you know you shouldn’t be at then do the right thing and heal that trust so that this app is helpful. I hope this helped you guys.
This app? Priceless.
by Marflower on 2018/05/27 18:41
Like everyone else, I started with the free app, which was, and still is, great! But, I quickly realized the paid app offered me many more mind-calming features, so, now use the standard paid version, and will most likely upgrade to Premium, soon. My husband drives a lonely, winding, stretch of highway connecting our small town to the city, to and fro, daily. He's driving it as early as 4am, and sometimes as late as 11pm. I love how the app allows me to add locations which tell me he's gone thru each area of his journey...I know how many alerts I should hear for him to arrive at his destination and only need to open the app and check his course when i don't receive enough alerts. I've done the same with our 30 year old daughter who doesn't mind a bit that I'm able to locate her at any time. She drives a major interstate connecting San Antonio & Austin for her music & events industry career which puts her on the road during both, the craziest, and most desolate, of traffic hours. For us, this around-the-clock, 365 days-a-year app, could easily be called "StressCure365" ❤️ Priceless.
Saved My Daughters Life!
by Thomas James Fredrick Smith on 2019/04/16 13:44
I installed this app on my daughters phone against a lot of negative feedback from her, her mom, grandpa and others! I didn’t let it sway me and believed it was in my child’s best interest! One day on her way to school she was having trouble getting up a slick hill and called me for advice while we were talking a man offered to help get it up the hill. I thought it was the same man who got her unstuck a block down the road while taking his kids to school and without asking questions told her it was fine and she hung up. I decided to pull up the app to make sure she got up the hill ok without calling her while she’s driving and to my horror the car got up the hill and turned away from the school! I started calling and texting when no one answered I started driving toward wherever the car was going using the app! Long story short my daughter is safe he is still on the run but we know who he is and he has a lengthy criminal history! If it wasn’t for Life360 letting me know there was a problem I could be burying my daughter! From a Grateful Father Thank You Life360!
Wow!!

I have been using this app for over 2 years now. My wife and I have 3 children ages 26, 15 and 9. Our daily routine is complicated with ever changing logistics. We operate on very tight schedules, transporting our kids to and from different schools, athletic practices/games and activities. This app is a life saver - literally!! I am able to track my family’s whereabouts, in order to monitor and plan our daily routines. My adult and teenage children felt violated at first, thinking that we were just tracking their movements. However, when my oldest daughter got a flat tire on the highway, and my teenage son was stranded at a party that he hated, they welcomed being able to see that we were in route to rescue them. In addition, my 9 year old daughter travels far on the school bus. She had a substitute driver coming home who literally got lost. We were able to track the bus done, retrieve our child and point the driver in the right direction to drop off the remaining children. I use this app more than any other. I would be lot without it. It is very comforting knowing where your loved ones are.
Worst App EVER
by Ponthea Z on 2018/05/20 23:25
Literally this app has caused nothing but trouble in my life, the location is always turning off on me and I can’t go anywhere outside of a 2 mi radius of my place anymore. Literally when my parents grew up they didn’t have this to deal with. When they were my age they could literally go places and do things and have fun without having their parents constantly checking up on them and making sure they don’t go to target instead of the movies when they’re literally right next to each other. Also this app has made me feel as if I am in prison or like a criminal with those ankle bracelets. The other day I was literally eating at Panda Express right where I had told my mother I was and for some reason the app can’t find my location and my mother calls me and starts yelling at me for lying and having my location off. Anyone who thinks this app is any good has never ever lived the life of a teen with this app. This app has caused nothing but issues for me and I don’t even go anywhere. Like my teenage life has gone to an absolute waste Bc of this app and it makes me sad Bc when my parents were growing up they didn’t have their families pinpointing and constantly refreshing their exact coordinates. This app and anything like it need to be removed from the App Store, they’re ruining our childhood.
Crash alert works!!!
by thankfulsisterandmom on 2018/06/30 16:46
My brother was in an accident yesterday (thankfully he was not injured when a vehicle pulled out RIGHT in front of him and he t-boned them at 60-70 mph) and the app recognized it. He immediately got a call from a real person at Life 360 ( which he didn’t answer because he was on the phone with 911. The app called him back 4 minutes later (he also didn’t answer because he was otherwise occupied with pushing the airbags down getting out of his vehicle) at which point Life360 dispatched first responders to his location and then called me (I am the circle admin) to let me know he had been in an accident and authorities had be dispatched- I was able to hang up quickly and call him- he answered thankfully so I knew he was ok... in this situation the calls really didn’t change the outcome but if an accident occurred in a rural area with no witnesses and the before mentioned procedure is followed an unconscious person or one who couldn’t find their phone would get potentially life saving care much faster!!!!! Way to go Life360 your service is priceless!!!!
Roadside assistance took 4 hours
by Rainy Baptasto on 2018/05/23 03:37
I called for roadside assistance at 6pm. The first time I called I was on hold for 5 minutes before I was sent to an answering machine. I called again and was again put on hold for another 15 minutes before I talked to someone from roadside assistance who told me she would call a tow company and give me an ETA. It wasn’t until 8:08pm that I was finally sent a message saying a tow truck was on its way. The tow truck finally arrived at 10pm. I know that multiple tow trucks were available much sooner, because I called them and asked about pricing - I strongly considered paying the full price just to get home sooner. All told, I was stuck alone in a dangerous part of Baltimore for four hours before any help arrived. If I had known it would take that long up front, I would have just paid for it myself to have my car towed in a reasonable timeframe. This “service” puts you in MORE danger by promising assistance and then leaving you in a dangerous situation for hours on end. It is safer to have no roadside assistance at all - then at least you could call a towing company yourself and wait a reasonable amount of time. Get AAA, it’s about the same price and they’ve always found a tow truck immediately as soon as I called them. This “roadside assistance” is a straight-up scam.

First I would like to speak on behalf of parents and their teens. As a former teen (lol) I understand the frustration this may cause with parents tracking your every move. Yes, it does make you feel like being a prisoner in your own house. I get it. I’d feel the same way. But also from a parenting perspective, there are many many bad things in the world these days. So many kids end up missing. If there is anything a parent would do to keep their kids safe they will. Which is why technology plays a huge part in these days for safety. I know for some overbearing parents this just makes them 10 times worse lol. I don’t think this app was designed to give teens the “caught ya” moments but just keep track in case of an event something goes wrong. Yes it can be abused and make teens lose their minds, but with all the crazy in the world it makes parent worry even more. To all the teens out there I understand your frustration, but when you become a parent you’re going to make that promise to yourself you are going to do anything possible to keep your little ones safe. This app plays a small role in that.
From the viewpoint of the child you’re tracking
by Tayhill1 on 2018/06/29 03:57
Look, I’m sure half of the parents reading this, as well as the app developers, won’t even care to glance at my review, as that is what society has become. Many parents and adults have irrationally thought that they need to shelter their children from every horrible little thing in the world, and as normal as that sounds, it’s not good. We won’t experience the experiences we need too, to learn the good from the bad. We won’t have the same lives as our parents and predecessors once had. Our lives will forever be shaped by constant tracking and inhumane micromanaging. If the teenagers who are forcefully and wrongfully made to use this app, just happened to be over 18, this entire application would be highly illegal, and you’d be in thousands of lawsuits due to privacy issues. Look, my point is, the app is great. It works fine. But before you purchase it, just think to yourself. Is it better for me to micromanage my kid to hell, forcing him/her to become even more of a rebelling personality than he /she already is, or should I ease up on him/her, and let them experience the teenage life , and go through the trial and errors of normal human life. It’s your choice, I only said my piece. Only god knows if anyone will ever even read this.
Add more places so we don’t have to use the premium

Hello developers, Let’s just say that my name is bob (not my real name) I love this app, the reason why I love this app is because I can watch my child where ever he/she is. This helps me also because I can get notified when my child leaves/enters their school, and when they leave/come home. I also use this app to watch my husband/wife leave work. I am also grateful of the new update that upgraded the gps. Btw the gps is very accurate now. One thing that kinda of big me is that we can only put 5 locations 2 that notifies you and 3 that doesn’t, I think that what you guys should do is add one more location that notifies you. The reason why their should be one more location that notifies you is because I have 2 that is my child’s school and for my house, the other three is for my spouses work, with my 87 year old parents house (one for their actual home, and their community home, with other elderly’s.) I hope you can consider this so that their should be 6 locations 3 that notifies you and 3 that doesn’t. Please write back to me. MERRY CHRISTMAS
Brilliant!

From the satellite view to the street view...location accuracy...incident reports...even cell phone charge reminders...this one app serves so many purposes. I have lost then tracked my phone with more accuracy and than iPhone finder. Twice. Tracked my family members forgotten phone (it was in a Lyft car) the other day BEFORE she realized it was missing! I can even see how fast my daughter is driving. The developers have created a fantastic and useful app with so many relevant features that it seems they've thought of and included everything one could wish for in such an app. I just remembered yet another way I have used it in an emergency. My old iPhone suddenly stopped sending and receiving texts to several important numbers, seemingly without rhyme or reason (Apple nor Verizon ever managed to fix it). I did not have good wifi service at the time and could not download a replacement messaging app but desperately needed to get a hold of someone. I was able to send the msg via Life360! Saved my rear end again!
Life360
by SmilingGrammie on 2018/10/04 20:28
I rated Life 360 a year ago as shown below. They have made some very nice improvements with the addition of some features like driving history and sound notifications of when one of your group arrives at their destinations. This gives a mother and grandmother piece of mind on a daily basis. There are some other fabulous features like "check in" as well as other emergency type features. If one of my family members has a low cell phone battery, We receive messages to notify them to charge their battery. There's 5 on my account along with myself--my husband, daughter, and my two grandsons. Now that my oldest grandson is driving, I am able to verify that he and my youngest grandson arrives home or school safely (when my daughter is out of town.). When my grandsons are on high school band trips, we can determine when to leave home to meet them at school by observing the location of the bus. I particularly love the fact that I can zoom in and see exactly where both the boys are when they at school activities.
Inaccurate
by Kaitbob on 2018/03/19 13:14
I have had this app for over a year. My daughter wasn’t driving yet, but going off with friends. I got it in case I needed to know of her last location if something happened. She is now 16 and driving on her own. It use to alert me when she completed a trip. Now, it is a hit and miss. I would rather check the app to see how far she is from home than call her and have her distracted while driving. Another inaccuracy is the speed detection. Granted, it’s not going to be 100% all the time, but I get notifications of her doing 80, 96, or 103 mph. I know she is not going that fast. I was in the car with her once and was notified of 87 mph and the child never got over 65. My sister has this app also for her daughter of the same age. Our daughters were riding together. She called and fussed at my daughter for 93 mph. She sent me a picture of the notification. My notification showed 71 mph for the same trip. How? The only thing I can figure is with the GPS being out of whack, it calculates the speed wrong. Also, we will be driving and I get a notification that she completed a trip, but yet we are still going down the road. I use to love this app. Now, it will do until I find something else.
Crash Detection doesn’t work
by Lisav42 on 2019/05/04 21:26
***UPDATE*** The response states that crash detection doesn’t detect all accidents. It detects sudden and complete stops. My thoughts are slamming on the brakes and hitting a utility pole qualifies as sudden and complete stops. As previously said, “hard braking” didn’t even register on the driving report. I stand by my review. Great app for getting time frames, arrival/departure, and just knowing where your kids (or other family members) are. Not good for much else. I’ll still use it for that peace of mind. ***END UPDATE*** This app is great for knowing when family will get home, finding someone when their car breaks down, etc. The crash detection feature is garbage. A family member was cut off by another vehicle, swerved and hit brakes and smashed into a utility pole. Every airbag came out. Crash detection was ON. Nothing. No phone call, not even a “hard braking” registered. So if you’re looking for an app to track your kids location and arrival/departure time it’s fantastic. Don’t expect anything else. Very disappointed. The accident was late at night and I’m grateful there were no serious injuries. A passerby stopped and called an ambulance.
Missing old features?
by ajjayy12 on 2017/10/03 03:05
I recently updated my phone and other apple devices to iOS 11. Multiple devices are logged into the same account just because I can check the location of my family members with the closest device at hand. I always keep my location on for my phone specifically just because whenever I go somewhere it’s the device I bring with me and not my iPad for example. It also help in the case that I lose my phone (which life 360 has helped me locate twice! Once when I was on vacation) which is more common than losing my iPad since that is always at home. Before updating to iOS 11 I was able to check my phones location on my iPad whenever I liked, but now it says that the location permissions are off because I do not have my location services on. I do not want to turn my ipads life 360 on because I don’t want my actual location bouncing back from where I actually am to home. Please fix this bug if it is one. It would be so helpful as I’ve been using this great app for 2 years already with no problems. Thanks!
Frustrating support for billing - app is good
by duncnpl on 2019/02/07 02:39
I downloaded the app for a free trial. After the trial, I upgraded to premium with monthly charges. I was charged on my card associated with my icloud account for the first month. I decided quickly I liked the upgrade so switched to a yearly charge. I was refunded the one month and charged for the full year. After about a week I noticed I wasn’t getting driving details any longer. Seems the app was now defaulted back to a basic account. I tried to “restore purchases” but keep getting an error. Contacted customer support through email and response from “Joseph” was I was refunded the money so I’d have to purchase again. I’ve sent several follow up emails with proof that I was refunded for the monthly charge and not the yearly charge with no further reply from the company. I’m out $80 and do not have the driver protect I paid for. Update 2/6/18: after sending 3 more emails and screen shots “Joseph” finally responded and helped restore my paid for service. The app has been really good but not being able to speak with someone was completely frustrating. I’m just glad they did respond.
Eye Opening app for HS parents
by Amazing Bible App! on 2017/12/22 04:32
This app has been an eye opening experience that has increased communication between our youngest (3rd) child. I am sure at times she hasn’t welcomed the conversation, but she has seen how much we love her. She is 17 years old and whether she is driving or with friends, we have been alarmed to see what and where she goes. This past Monday, an innocent drive to get ice cream, showed a 108 mile per hour trip on a country road. She wasn’t driving, but had I not happened to check to see if she was on her way home, I wouldn’t have seen the speed they were traveling. To say I was upset was an understatement. After some tears and conversation, we discussed how important it is to speak up when people are not making good decisions and your life is at risk. This app sends alerts when they arrive at certain locations...work, boyfriends house, school, home. It’s a simple way to be reminded of when they arrive somewhere safely. As a busy mom who travels, this helps hold her accountable, as well. Highly recommend!!!
Recent Update problems
by Bobjtx on 2019/04/13 17:44
As a veteran user of this app (~4-5 years), and a lifelong software developer and development manager, I would just like to drop a note to the developers of this app. With the large number of users experiencing problems with the recent update, YOU need to get in front of these issues quickly before you irreparably harm the reputation of what was once a fine app. Putting a link to a fax in these comments, that can not be clicked or copied, is just going to frustrate your users even more. I suggest you find a way to allow users to access FAQ / help information more easily within the app, if it is so important that a user can’t rely on the accuracy of the app without it (which is how your responses appear in these reviews). P.S. There seems to be trend today to release buggy software, and rely on users to test & report these issues, and then companies release yet another buggy update, again with insufficient testing. I have already reached the point where I refuse to update apps if they are working. I suspect other users will start doing the same if these sort of problems continue to grow. Something to think about.
My boy is alive
by leigh1228 on 2018/06/23 16:22
I use Life360 to know where my kids are and the speed they are going (whether driving or a passenger) I was in Colorado and my son was visiting Austin, Texas. We could not get a hold of him one night, so I checked the app. I saw that he was a passenger in a car that had gone off the road at a very high speed. I instantly began calling hospitals in Austin close to where the car had crashed. We eventually found him and the accident was very bad. I was able to make plans and get to Texas quickly plus get my friends and family in Texas to him at the hospital. This app let us know where the accident occurred, what time and the speed the driver was going. I am beyond grateful to have had this information to share with the police and the family of the driver. As long as this app is available, I will use it. My son is alive and he is on the long road of rehab after several surgeries. This app gave me answers before I knew I had questions. I highly recommend using to everyone. - Erin
Worthy of ALL accolades and awards.

I was reading some of the negative reviews and I’m astonished. Our family has used this app for several years and it only continues to get better. We have 3 children and started using this when they were in middle school and high school. Now 2 are in college (2 hrs and 9 hrs drive time away) and 1 in HS and the app is still invaluable. There is no “snooping” or invading privacy. We encourage trust in our children and respect their privacy. It’s a matter of safety (especially for our girl who lives in a major metropolitan area) to know how to find them. Plus for my son in HS he can tell where I am when I have to pick him up from an away meet or competition. For those with issues about invading privacy that sounds like a problem not related to a phone app. Delete it if so. The improvements this company made in perfecting this app are laudable AND can be potentially lifesaving in a time when crimes against our children seen frighteningly too common.
False locations occasionally
by Quovolez on 2018/09/26 15:36
I have been using this app for about 6 months. It’s great most of the time, I can see my family on a map. Wife at work, kids at school, and me at the shop. But recently I got a notification showing my daughter in a field out of town about 2 miles from where she should be, I killed the app, cleared my cache, and reopened. Same location for her... I became more concerned. In the end it was just an app glitch. Then today I got another motif. She was in another town about 1 Mile from school, I refreshed, restarted, reset... still same issue. I watched as the little marker that should show my daughter in Spanish class, said she was walking down a neighborhood street, I waited a. VERY LONG 15 minutes, hoping to see the dot back at the high school but never did. Finally I called school and spoke with a friend of mine, she agreed to go check, and fortunately, my daughter was in class with iphone. This has to be corrected soon. The idea is awesome and the app is good overall, it helps me locate my family daily, so 3 stars for now and I’ll add two if they respond with resolution.
Children with autism, runners.
by RinnyWho on 2018/11/07 19:14
This app is helping me get a handle on some unsafe behaviors for my 10 and 12 year, both old on the autism spectrum. Running away, not telling me their plan before they leave the house, even at 3am, not coming back home at a reasonable time, not leaving for school, skipping school to run away and lying about where they are. I like getting the alerts when my children leave and arrive at home and school. It is very reassuring and it lets me stop what I am doing to properly greet them when they arrive. Our school district auto alerts parents to absences 2 hours after school starts, that is a lot of time to not know if my kid made it to school. I like being able to see where they are and how much battery is left on their phones. Thank you Life360! So far we haven’t used the other features. My 12 year old does not even know this is installed on their phone, I went in and shut off all of their alerts so nothing would clue them in.
It’s ok :/
by sluthfy on 2019/01/03 05:12
Ok so this app works relatively well, but there are some big problems that almost got me grounded for life. Firstly, this app will randomly bing and say that a person is moving from one place to another even though they are not, for example multiple times a day my mother will get notifications that i am leaving school and she calls the school frantically asking where I am while I sit reading a book, playing an instrument, or running laps with classmates. It will also give delayed information such as alerting someone DAYS after it has happened that they left for the store or went to the park. The most recent thing that has happened which has brought me to write this review was that one night at around 11:00pm my mother was alerted that I left my home for about 30 minutes and just sat around at a dead end road that was 3.9 miles away from my house, the only reason I didn’t get in trouble was because my brother vouched for me and said I never left.. it was later revealed that this was just delayed information from when my mother, brother, and I went to a park to shoot of fireworks for the New Years celebrations.
Please,
by Natalie Gon. on 2018/10/30 07:31
Please please please, don’t force your children to download this app. Don’t look at the reviews from parents. Of course they’re going to praise this app. I advise everyone to look at what the teenagers who were forced to download this app have to say about it. Listen to them. What they’re saying is true, and it’s what your child will feel too, even if they don’t admit it. This app ruins trust between parents and children. It is a tool for micromanaging children, which is nothing less than destructive and suffocating. I am 19, going on 20. I am a college sophomore. I’ve had this app for three years and it has kept me from living my own life, it has kept me from having trust in my mother, and has prevented me from having a healthy, truthful relationship with her. This app won’t keep your child from doing what they want to do, and it’s not impossible to get around this app, in fact it’s not even difficult. Please, please don’t brush aside this review or any other low-rating reviews simply because they come from “the child’s” perspective. Read those reviews and LISTEN to what they have to say. Do your child and your relationship with them a favor - don’t force them to download this app.
This app is really great.
by Elaw636 on 2017/09/13 23:54
I just turned 19 and have worked a job for the past few years that has late nights. My mom wanted to have a way to make sure that I had made it home alright from my late nights at work. This app would allow her to see if I had made it home without getting out of bed. I honestly don't have a problem with my parents having this app and being able to see where I am. I know they won't use it to 'stalk' me. It's also very useful for checking to see where one of us is while we are driving. Texting and driving isn't safe and making a phone call seems like a bit much when an app like this can give you a location in just seconds. I realize that I am touting the fact that you won't need to make a phone call which is a very simple and easy action, but in this world of ever evolving simplicity this app achieves just that. Overall I'm a child that doesn't mind using this app with my family.👍
Piece of Mind
by Middleskhoolmom on 2018/11/17 13:20
As a parent the struggle to let my teenage son drive was a hard one to swallow. The Life360 application has given me the greatest piece of mind. Not only does it let me know where he is at any given time, but it allows me to see his driving habits. Does he slam on his breaks? Does he use his cell phone? How fast is he driving? And there is the added bonus of alerting me immediately if he is in an accident. Setting “places” lets me know when he leaves and arrives at a destination. So I know when he is on the road and when to expect him. I still worry when he is not safe at home, but knowing that I can check on him, get alerts when his cell phone is low, and be able to discuss with him better driving habits when I’m not in the vehicle with him, is worth the low and affordable cost of the application each month. The struggle to let him drive is still there, I’m sure any parent can relate, but I’m much more comfortable now with the help of Life360.
College Student
by collegesenior1 on 2018/06/23 16:29
This is coming from someone who was forced to download this app in high school as a way for my parents to always know where I am. Of course in the beginning, I was extremely upset and felt like I had no freedom, typical of any high school kid who wants to do what they want. However, now in the final semesters of college, I look back and understand why my parents used this app. Being completely open and honest with a high school kid is extremely challenging, and unless you know your kid is honest with you 100% of the time, this app is a must. When I was 16 I didn’t think my parents had any business knowing where I was, but now looking back, I am VERY glad they knew, because they had every right to know where I was when i first started to drive, and was hanging out with people who were first starting to drive as well. We still use the app even though I don’t live at home anymore, and it helps us make sure that we are all safe.
