This app often forgets my favorite zones and can't find zones local to me. Then i have to Google the number of the zone where I am. Nonsense.

First time I used it for parking was today. The other night I downloaded the app and entered my license plate number and credit card. It worked perfectly today. I was given the alert before my time ran out, and I then extended the time. It was very easy and reliable.

Dreadfully designed UI. Why isn’t there an option to extend time for an existing session? Are they hoping you’ll buy overlapping time? Seems to be the case. Wouldn’t use this app if I didn’t have to in order to not get towed.

I use this app whenever I park at my local train station. For a while it worked great and I had no problems. Now all of a sudden I pay for the full day rate but then it says I only paid to park for 4 hours! I tried reaching out to the help desk but no one ever responded. I’m very disappointed in this app, I thought it was great! Plus if you try to use any other features you have to pay for the premium. When it should be free since you’re already paying for parking and the tax on it! Good app gone bad!

Put money in machine then also payed online and it wouldn't show that money was put in machine already plus 25 cents extra transaction fee!!!!!!??? Then 3 hours max!??? I get my hair done it takes 3.5-4 hours so it is really irritating to have to feed the meter twice. Get a better method Doylestown

Confusing and in reliable. Constantly asking me to update my payment method. Often freezing or unable to find my location. Often having to close and reopen the app 3 or 4 times until it will give me the option to choose my duration and continue. So frustrating!!!

Easily the weakest of my 3 parking apps (others are Mobile Now and Curb). Won't read the QR code on the meter, won't accept my input for the meter number, freezes, etc. I will uninstall and reinstall it, but shouldn't have to.

This parking app stuff is a hassle and I felel like we’ve been forced to conform. I really would have rather paid a meter. The new parking requirements in the Short North area is exclusive and provides a challenge for many.

Earlier versions of this app sucked, but they seemed to iron out the "confirmation of payment" issue. That being said, the app charges a "convenience fee" for each transaction, including adding more time. This can come in handy though on a nasty weather day, and the 30 cents extra may be worth not having to fumble with the machine, or, adding more time to the meter. SIDE NOTE ABOUT THE METERS: You will still be given a parking slip from the meter even if street cleaning times prohibit it, unlike the NYC meters, which won't give you a slip during prohibited times. It's a $40 parking fine. PLUS, being that you enter your plate number in the machine (or online entering meter zone number) I imagine that a ticket officer may be alerted that your time had expired and visits the zone that you parked in looking for your plate. It's kind of like shooting fish in a barrel. (this is just a hunch while I research this more).

It would be much better if the driver could terminate the remaining parking fee when they are ready to pull out of the spot. Bethesda has a better system in this way. It is more flexible and advantageous for the driver. JHB

Very slow app. About 30% of the time it doesn’t work on my Android. Won’t allow me to enter my zone. Luckily I can revert to my iPhone but it’s stressful to do so.

The app is convenient since the pay machines only accept 6 quarters. App is slow and charges 66 cents as additional convenience fee(I think its too much).

This app never seems to work. It defaults to PayPal and doesn’t let you enter PayPal information. It tries to put their market and credit cards above everything else. Payment should simply be add credit card. When the payment doesn’t go through it makes you re-enter everything for your parking spot all over again

There is no option to have it remind you in an hour or two to make sure you remember to hit the “stop parking” option. Which means you will end up paying $15 to park for an hour or less, just like I have, at least a quarter of the time. This is an example of a UI that intentionally doesn’t help the user so that the company / city offering the app can make more money. Super shady.

I purchased 3 hours of parking time and showed up on time. I scanned my qrs code on phone to the parking garage scanner and it said my voucher was invalid. I ended up taking a ticket. When I left the garage 15 minutes early I again scanned my qrs code on phone and nothing happened. I ended up paying with my credit card.

It is very frustrating that so many cities use different parking apps, but this has to be the worst one I’ve used yet. The password account recovery and the amount of time/steps in general needs to improve. It should not take more than 10 minutes to park your car once you’ve found a spot.

This app has been reliable and works well for me. My only issue is clunky support for multiple vehicles. There is no way that I’ve found to select a vehicle for a parking event other than the default one. So I have to go to vehicles, change the default and then park. Then I need to change it back for my more commonly used car. It would be so easy to include the option to choose one other than the default. I’m surprised it doesn’t have this capability. If I’m wrong and you can do this, I sure don’t see how. Update: the newest version provides a prominent notice of the cat being parked with the option to change to another vehicle. I guess that option has been there on the final for a while but I didn’t realize it. This solves my issue.

I’ve used this a few times with success. BUT BEWARE!!!! There’s no option to choose what car you’re using when you park. I had added a rental car but did not select it as a default vehicle and got a $64 parking ticket as a result! Luckily the parking guy took pity on me and let me off with a warning and told me this happens to a lot of people Second, when you extend time there’s no way to prove when you extended it. It said that I had extended my time after the original time had expired, which was the first point I was trying to make when contesting my ticket. If there was a parking history option that would be better since your credit card doesn’t show the time of the transaction. If there is a way to pay manually with hard proof, do that instead of using this app

Used this app to when we went to watch a play. Made the reservation for 7:30. Got there 7:30 and told me that their lot was full. Instructed me to cancel the reservation. Had to look for parking. We got to the broadway late. So mad 😡

Today I used ParkMobile and for some reason it would not let me continue until I put my payment method in. Ok, you may say, that’s fair. However I have been using The app for over a year and have put in my pay method more than once. So I did that. Then I went to park and it said I had to add a vehicle. I already have my vehicles in, so it should have given me a choice including add a vehicle. I had to back out to the automobile screen and thankfully it still had my car saved! So I chose it. And, now for the one piece of good news, I was able to go back to the Park screen and chose my payment method and Park. The whole point of this app is convenience, but they still have A LONG WAY TO GO! To make matters worse this is the second time I have been asked to add a payment method and both times have been in miserable weather. Stay in the car you say, well when the numbers on the parking spot are too small or illegible you must get out in the weather. Today I was able to scan the code, which saved time out in the cold. The app developers need to have a focus group of users get together and tear this app apart. It is such a great idea, yet falls so short of expectations. I want this app to improve so I can give it a 5 star and sing its praises. Hopefully they will get there sooner than later.

Every time I try to use this app I get this message “We’re sorry, there was a problem starting your parking session. Please try scanning your ticket again.” I then must delete the app reinstall it and try again. This works some of the time not all! Parkmobile must have garbage coders and somehow have taken over the nations parking industry. Why fund people in Atlanta to break your handling of parking infrastructure at inflated prices. Isn’t tech suppose to make things cheaper...nope. Putting quarters in meters worked. Having a garage gate attendants worked. Paying technology companies to park at inflated rates with a phone app that never works is a con.

This app does not work. The time I purchased did not show up on the meter and I made sure the parking zone number was correct. What a rip off I ended up having to pay twice for the parking. I will be seeking a refund.

When you use ParkMobile, your phone keeps track of your remaining time, but meter does not display it. This means multiple Parker’s could be double, triple, quadruple paying for time on a parking meter. To be fair, they should coordinate with the meter to display time remaining.

Your app works great. But at 40 cents a transaction it’s a ripoff. And there’s no reason we shouldn’t be able to turn a session on and off without incurring an additional transaction charge. It’s not hard—that’s how they do it in Bethesda one town over.

Forgot my password — requested....waited...waited. Created a new acct. - now the ‘new’ acct will not accept my phone as “it’s already in use”. FAQ’s recommend I log into the Website to make the change —- but that site asked for all my banking information again. Attempted to reset my password on the website - and again......no response to my Forgot Password request. Horrible - needs a complete overhaul.

The is very convenient, no picking up ticket to put on your dash. No need to be nervous to run out of time and risk a ticked. Let you know to go back or extend time. That said, it has been very unreliable. I have reported problems twice but no change. I will give up if it is not fixed soon.

This app constantly logs me off, I have to use it at school so imagine my frustration when I’m parking and running into class & have to spend the next 20 minutes deleting the app, re-download it, and signing in again all because it won’t recognize my sign in information 90% of the time I open it. My favorite is when I do all this and then somehow it doesn’t have my payment information. All the while hoping I don’t get a ticket while I’m trying to do all this. I’ve just given up and will only be using the online website. Unfortunately since my university signed up for this terrible service, I don’t have any choice on giving you money. I’m about to start carrying quarters again just so I don’t have to give this company my money.

Apple UI always has the left button be a “cancel” or “no” / but this app has the cancel on the right - so when I go to end my parking I always accidentally cancel and keep it running. I’m sure this was done on purpose to get more $.

In general, this app is pretty useful, but I’ve had problems with it freezing, logging me out, and not processing payment when I thought it had gone through. My biggest annoyance with it though, is when you have more than one car connected to the app. You chose which car you are parking later in the process and it is really easy to miss that. I *REALLY* wish it would ask you which car you are parking FIRST, then move forward with location, duration, etc. I just barely avoided a ticket today, because I had my husband’s car, not mine, and hadn’t checked to switch the cars. This isn’t the first time I’ve paid for parking for the wrong car. I realize the fault is mine, but the app could make it much more obvious.

I enjoy using the app and it works in any city. It’s a little user/unfriendly. I pull up and park and type in the parking spot # and it won’t allow me to to anything without adding a car. I have two saved and it doesn’t give me a choice to pick one. Then when I start over and pick a car I have to enter all info again, then it needs a credit card. I have 3 saved to the app. Needs to be easier to use!!!

App is rubbish. The defaults on the web site are different than the app. Changing a notification on one does not update the other. Bug: when you disable in app notifications and try to reenable it brings you to the notification settings area and you are stuck in this loop. Tech support told me to reinstall the app based on the changes they made and of course i see something different. No trust nor confidence. Help desk via email unresponsive. Calling in helps but regardless if you choose account issues or tech issues you end up speaking to the same people. So why the prompts?

This app is totally unreliable as is the “customer service”. I travel for work and rent cars often, so I have several vehicles stored in the app. When paying a meter I accidentally selected the wrong license plate and paid...I immediately realized the mistake and tried to correct it. The app has no way to edit a session. I tried to start a new one, but because my car was already parked in that zone, it wouldn’t create a new session. No joke - by the time I could get back to my car I had a $30 parking ticket because the license plate didn’t match the ParkMobile entry. I’ve emailed the company to try and have this resolved, with absolutely no response. Learn from my mistake - just pay the meter and don’t let ParkMobile continue screwing people.

I had been logged in, and had used this app for >6 months. Today I tried to use the app, and not only would it not recognize my password, it did not recognize my email! I attempted to contact a number of people including Park mobile, and the only thing that occurred with ParkMobile was that I got disconnected after being on hold and being transferred several times. I did delete the app and went to the website, and it would not acknowledge my payment methods regardless of what I did. I attempted to pay a minimum of seven times before I finally got frustrated. I then created a new account, & it finally worked.

U need to be able to extend parking on a 1hr parking spot. There should also be sometime of grace period. I keep getting tickets because of waiting for the meter to be expired to pay for the next hr. For example 1hr parking I have to extend it at least 1-2 mins before the 1 hr is up. Meaning I have to start a new session which in reality it causes me to over pay for parking. I end up paying 1hr for only 58mins of use. Also I’m always getting tickets because the parking agents have the ParkMobile app and wait until your parking is 1 sec expired to give u a ticket. The only way to prevent this from happening is to over pay your parking sessions over and over. Such a scam. You’ll end up paying from your house a few hrs of parking but than come to the car and realize you got a ticket because you didn’t extend it for 1 simple second. I’ve had to pay a couple thousand in parking tickets, fees and tolls because of this app. SCAMM SCAMMM SCAMMMMMMING YOUR MONEY WHEN YOU THOUGHT THIS APP WOULD MAKE YOUR LIFE EASIER AND CONVENIENT. FOOLS!!!

The app started out useful, but after a while it began to sign me out and not allow me to sign back in even though I was using the proper info. The whole point of this app is convenience and reliability which it has neither. It’s broken. I should’ve read the reviews closer.

In spite of paying more for the convenience, my husband and I have use the app for sometime now. However, they made unauthorized charges for 2 parking sessions when there was no charge at the lot those days. This was due to the holiday season. One of the times I completed the transaction but then reached out to them asking them to cancel the charges. The 2nd time I only began to enter a parking session, noticed the sign and never completed the process. Yet, we were charged both times. Emailed asking for an adjustment. Never heard back. When we got the AMEX bill I disputed the charges only to find the next time I tried to use the app I was blocked. For a company that charges a premium for parking, to block a customer who’s been using them for years now seems really stupid. And we try not to do business with stupid companies! Wake up!!

This app just doesn’t do its job. It doesn’t pick up the locations and yes my location services is on. To make matters worse, I typed in the location number of where I’m parked in Miami location 40123 and find I have a ticket to pay when I get back to my car. Well location 40123 is on the sign, I took a picture of it, and location 40123 is also location marked on the ticket for where I was parked. I checked what I typed into the app and it sure is 40123. Unfortunately, I found I was charged to Park in Minneapolis Minnesota not Miami and not only did I get a ticket, but I also paid for the parking as I was charged for it. Don’t use this app, it’s screwy.

This took 10 mins to install. Create a login and password. Log into PayPal. Confirm I’m not a robot. That was all aside from the time that it froze and I had to reload it. How is this an improvement on the process of parking?

I don’t even have time to list all the things all the things that went wrong with this terrible functioning, unreliable app. I parked my car and walked off, opening to app to pay for my parking. The app then bugged out and had issue after issue. First, it would randomly sign me out and and wouldn’t let me sign back in, telling me my info was incorrect, or simply loading forever. Once it finally started realizing my info WAS correct, I tried to click on a zone and it wouldn’t load it. Then, when it finally did load it, it kept telling me I didn’t have a payment method on file, despite having used it before. When I went to add a payment method, it showed that I did indeed still have a payment method on file. I continuously opened and closed the app, again and again trying to get it to simply function properly, and every time it was a different issue, different bug. Eventually I became so frustrated with it that I went and grabbed my wallet, walked all the way back down to the parking space to pay manually, and upon arrival realized that I had received a parking ticket in the time that I spent trying to simply get to app to function. The app fails at the simplest levels, and is just terrible and unreliable in general. An app like this is supposed to be reliable - that’s the whole idea. Don’t waste your time on this.

Update 9/18: in response to ParkMobiles apology and offer to assist via email, I sent my third email support request on 11 August (previous emails on and 21 and 29 June) and not one email has been responded to. Stop acting like you have customer service when you clearly don’t. Bottom line: good app, convenient, but you’ll never ever get a refund should anything not work perfectly! And no one from “customer support” will ever respond to your emails. ====== The app is good and does what is says, but customer support is non-existent. The app warns that the service is merely a financial transaction tool between municipalities and the meter so the app developer will NOT process refunds. However the app offers an opportunity to forward your comments to the city to request a refund. I received an automated email once the ticket was opened, then nothing. I’ve sent follow up emails and not even an acknowledgment, nothing. The original email says it was from the park mobile helpdesk, but I’m pretty certain one doesn’t even exist. Why offer to facilitate communication with the municipality if you’re not going to do it in the first place and then not even get back to the customer with any update(s) much less an actual resolution. It’s been over a month and nothing.

I parked and saw that parking could be paid through this app. I downloaded the app, entered my vehicle and payment information, entered the zone where I was parking, set it to pay for two hours ($2.85). I got confirmation and even saw the clock start counting down. I go to lunch, then come back to a $42 parking ticket. I check the app and somehow there is nothing in my activity history. Edit: I have sent the information as they requested. The event happened exactly as described above. I will update my review to include how this is handled once it is resolved. Edit #2: I've upgraded my review to 4 stars. The app didn't work and I got a ticket, but I was surprised to find that the developers actually responded to this, they investigated, and ultimately reimbursed me the price of the ticket. That's excellent customer service, which unfortunately isn't common these days. And for the record, I used the app again a couple of weekends ago (I made sure to take a screenshot this time) and it worked fine, so I'm not sure what happened with that first one.

I am going to have to delete the useless app because my bank card was stopped due to fraud, and I cannot enter my new number. No help available and not user friendly. Went into every conceivable help category and received no information that worked. It said I can change the card by tapping on the old one and reenter. Well that isn’t true. I spend 10 minutes trying to park before I got down on the floor of my car doing the search for coins. Then I went to my communities parking to complain about their app and they won’t take complaints - I have to contact an uncontactable company. So this company has total control of parking in my community and they have no way of being held accountable for how miserably their app works. I sat down at home and have been working on this for 1/2 an hour already without resolution in changing my payment. This is a junk poorly supported app and I have no choice but to erase it. What a crock and what bs. I am going to write a letter to my council members to let them know that this app is not workable and the parking office doesn’t want to hear it. Communities need to hold these companies accountable when they have dedicated their technology to this monopoly. Idiocy and incompetence.

I hate to pay for parking because I’m an entitled rich white man, but if I’m going to have to endure the injustice of not just doing what I want when I want where I want, I can at least purchase the minimum park time while I sit here waiting for my daughter to get her stitches out and get notified when I run out of time so I can run down and put more money in the oh wait I’m getting a notification now that I’m running low on time I gotta go whaaaat I don’t gotta go I just click on extend my time while I sit here on my comfy bottom writing reviews for all my favorite apps and complaining about the barbarity if having to pay for parking why can’t They send servants to my house who could just carry me overhead while someone feeds me grapes. If I can’t live in that reality, I’ll at least pay for my parking virtually without interacting with people or parking meters oh no I think the receptionist wants to say something look away look away she said my name I gotta go now.

I’ve only used the app a couple of times but it’s always worked well for me. It’s fairly straight forward and easy to use. You can add any vehicle to your account quickly from anywhere. (I even added my daughters best friends car from home when needed to park, because they are teenagers and don’t always think ahead.) You can have multiple vehicles on your account. All of the info you need to know about a space (hour and minute rate, maximum time allowed in a space, etc) so you don’t accidentally get a ticket is given in the app when you chose a space/parking zone. I often use the app before I even get out of my car (and I counsel my children to do the same) which gives me a greater sense of security. I like that it warns you when your time is going to run out and I find it very convenient to be able to extend my time in a space from my smartphone rather than having to run out and feed the meter.

Older versions allowed easy switch between cars. Also clearly identified which car you were paying for parking. You need to now go into settings and change your default car anytime you want to pay for a different car that is already in your list of vehicles. I have three cars and was confused as to which car I had set as the default since it did not tell me as I was setting the parking duration. Paid a $30 violation plus the fee to the app plus the $6 to the city for the other car that was home in my driveway. MAKE IT EASY TO switch between cars like before. SETTINGS ARE NOT SOMETHING YOU SHOULD HAVE TO TINKER WITH WHEN YOU HAVE A CAR FULL OF KIDS AND YOU ARE TRYING TO PAY FOR PARKING. UPDATE: Changed to five stars from one star. App owner made good on promise to make things right. Expeditiously handled the complaint to my satisfaction- above and beyond which is rare. Thank you.

Make sure you watch out what you are paying for. Make sure you know metered hours because the Parkmobile app will charge you regardless. I downloaded this app so I could pay for my parking and not miss my train. The app works fine except for one very bothersome component: It does not tell you what time to what time you are obligated to pay for parking. Instead it allows you to pay for parking at all hours of the day and night. I paid for parking from 8:15am - 4:15pm. There are no signs inside of the parking lot telling you the metered hours. So I paid those 8 hours. However, while I was still away I wasn’t going to be able to make it back until after 5pm so I paid $0.35 from 4:15pm to 5:15pm. I then paid again until 6:15pm. Even though the metered hours are only from 9am-5pm the app lets you pay their transaction fee during these off hours when you don’t have to pay for parking!

Apparently I Went through all the trouble to download this app and pay through the app through my PayPal and it shows paid in my timer and began ticking away...but My meter was still flashing red saying it needed payment. After two minutes of it still flashing red I finally went ahead and made a payment with my debit card instead manually and that worked instantly. I double checked and screenshot all my information everything was correctly entered on the app. When I contacted customer service about this they basically said i’m out the money and should not have double paid. Even though it was flashing red telling me that it was expired still. And that I could’ve just fought it if they would’ve tried to give me a ticket. This is not appropriately set up and I would NOT recommend this to anyone. Do not waste your time. You’re going to end up with a big fight with this company or a big fight trying to get your ticket reversed because it does not sync up with the meter. This was verified though customer support.

They out stickers on each meter but some don’t even work or they are only good for 2 hours but they are digital. Walked to my office and thought I’ll pay my meter at 8am til 4pm but when it came to adding time it wasn’t available ! This morning I parked at a meter that is out front thinking it’s digital 10 hour meter and it’s only a two hour meter from 8-10 but when I parked there I could put 3 hours 7-10 but see, our meter people start at 8 but now it’s at 8 it’s only good for 2 hours. Seems fishy to me. Now the 2 hour meter cost me 90 cents when I could have just put in 50 cents for 2 hours. I thought this app was going to be helpful as I’m disabled and can’t walk back to meter to add two quarters :( so now I’ll have to pay 90 cents every two hours instead of 50 cents. They should post how much each meter will allow on the meter and not require you to drive to each one to check how long you can do it.

This app making street parking and extending your parking time very easy. I live in Philadelphia, where metered on street parking is everywhere. The app makes it convenient to park, pay, and then see how much time you have left. The app also lets you extend your parking further. However, it charges you a significantly higher amount to do so and the up-charge is ridiculous. The app wanted to charge me $7 to extend by one hour, the same amount I had just paid for 3 hours. Then when the parking expired, I was not allowed to “re-park” in the zone (not actually a policy of Philadelphia parking, just the app). I had to go to my car anyways, where I used the on-street meter to pay for an additional hour in my spot without moving the car. I am fine with paying a small fee for the service, but it seems ridiculous to hike prices by so much to extend parking time. Will probably not use in the future.

This app has been reliable and works well for me. My only issue is clunky support for multiple vehicles. There is no way that I’ve found to select a vehicle for a parking event other than the default one. So I have to go to vehicles, change the default and then park. Then I need to change it back for my more commonly used car. It would be so easy to include the option to choose one other than the default. I’m surprised it doesn’t have this capability. If I’m wrong and you can do this, I sure don’t see how. Update: the newest version provides a prominent notice of the cat being parked with the option to change to another vehicle. I guess that option has been there on the final for a while but I didn’t realize it. This solves my issue.

U need to be able to extend parking on a 1hr parking spot. There should also be sometime of grace period. I keep getting tickets because of waiting for the meter to be expired to pay for the next hr. For example 1hr parking I have to extend it at least 1-2 mins before the 1 hr is up. Meaning I have to start a new session which in reality it causes me to over pay for parking. I end up paying 1hr for only 58mins of use. Also I’m always getting tickets because the parking agents have the ParkMobile app and wait until your parking is 1 sec expired to give u a ticket. The only way to prevent this from happening is to over pay your parking sessions over and over. Such a scam. You’ll end up paying from your house a few hrs of parking but than come to the car and realize you got a ticket because you didn’t extend it for 1 simple second. I’ve had to pay a couple thousand in parking tickets, fees and tolls because of this app. SCAMM SCAMMM SCAMMMMMMING YOUR MONEY WHEN YOU THOUGHT THIS APP WOULD MAKE YOUR LIFE EASIER AND CONVENIENT. FOOLS!!!

I used the app to pay for parking on 2 different zones in one day (let’s call them Zone A and B). Parking in Zone A I had no problem. When I parked for an appointment later in the afternoon, it was in Zone B. I vividly remember carefully inputting the Zone B’s number when I was paying for my second parking spot. After my appointment in the afternoon, to my dismay, there was a parking citation on my windshield. Upon investigating, it looked like the app copied the zone number from Zone A when I was inputting info for Zone B (even though I carefully put in the correct one, the app must have autofilled it, I cannot see any other way it could’ve happened). Therefore, the parking enforcement officer couldn’t see my payment for that zone. I appealed the $15 parking ticket but was eventually denied. I strongly believe that a glitch in the program caused me to receive this ticket and that your company should be responsible for its payment. I emailed customer support but has not had any reply as of yet.
Easy meter monitoring

I’ve used the app four times and I’m impressed. While others waited in line at the pay stations I pulled out my phone and paid while I was on my way to my appointment. Quick and painless. The reminder that the meter is expiring might be my favorite feature. Assuming I don’t have the glitches others have reported, this app is a huge leap in parking. Update: as i’ve continued to use the app, more glitches appear: forgets my profile, allows me to go through with processing, and just before payment it tells me that I need to add a vehicle. I have to cancel everything, go back to add a vehicle – but there are three vehicles already on my account! Numerous other such glitches have occurred (like telling me I needed to add a payment method – but there already two credit cards, and Apple Pay, on the account), making me spend time to redo the entire payment process. This app has potential, but not ready for prime time. And since it’s been in use for so long, there’s no excuse.

First of all, as a college student, I love this app. It’s really helped me out because I have classes and studios that last more than 2 hours and running out to fill the meter is a bit ridiculous. My one complaint about this app is that I don’t get notified about half the time that my meter has expired. With the way my school parking is, if I go more than 15 minutes without paying I have a very high chance of getting a ticket. I think it would be a great addition to the Parkmobile app if there was a feature to let you know once you’ve gotten a citation so you don’t keep paying all day long when you’ve already been ticketed. Or, come up with a way to have an all day parking choice so everyone doesn’t have to keep their phone on them at all times. Thanks!

Love the ease and convenience of being able to pay remotely with your phone and even extend your time remotely – probably one of the best perks. Disappointed that Apple Pay is not a default and that it is up to each municipality and or area to accept Apple Pay. I thought the app simply wasn’t working until I stumbled upon a list of cities that Apple Pay is accepted. It turns out only a tiny parking lot is all that takes Apple Pay in the City of St. Louis. All of their public street parking requires a credit card on file. Not awesome. Signage and zone numbers need to be tightened up quite a bit. I’m finding more often than not I still have to get out of the car to figure out where the hell I’m parked or what zone I’m in because you certainly can’t read the tiny little signs that are facing the wrong direction instead of angled toward the car.

First time using the app, looked on the map for a place I wanted to park it stated it would be $25. Set my time 6 PM to 1 AM. Paid my $25. I was driving oversize vehicle so I knew in New York they will charge extra for that. Arrived a half an hour early to pick up my vehicle. Was charged $32 extra. The complete bill was $57. The parking attendant informed me that he would be charging $10 more for oversize vehicle, which is what I expected. What I didn’t expect was to be pay more than $25 to park as per the app. I called customer support. The support person was not at all knowledgeable or understanding my situation. It’s took her 25 minutes to finally tell me that I did not pay $25 to park but just to reserve the spot. Not at all what I thought I was going to pay. Also if she just said that to me immediately I wouldn’t be waiting around for 25 minutes. It was a freaking nightmare at 1:30am in the morning. I will never use this app again and I suggest you do the same.

I have been a very frequent user of parkmoblie, and had been happy with it. Not long ago I used it for the to reserve a parking garage for the first time, but the access road was closed due to emergency road work, preventing any access to the garage. I couldn't park as planned and was late for my work. I requested a refund from parkmoblie, knowing it wasn't their fault, and with some difficulty (was told to call the garage, which told me to call parkmobile, repeat three times) they granted a "one time" refund. The difficulty with which this was granted and the customer service, which made me feel like I was a perpetrator and the beneficiary of some grand gesture in form of a refund, makes me much less likely to ever use the app again. Instead of thanking me for my frequent use and apologizing for what happened, I now am fearful that should that happen again they will not even give me the courtesy of listening.

What would be one functionality of a parking app that would be just complete common sense? How to I extend my time. A simple button on the main screen where you see your time running out? Nope. Have to go through numerous articles in the help menu which still doesn’t address it. Tried this for the first and last time and still received a $25 citation from the city. Even showed them a picture of my car parked right under the sign with copies of my paid receipts. THIS APP DOES NOT WORK. I do respect the fact that you responded! Hats off to you! However, based on the majority of these reviews, there’s a ton of work to be done. The city took care of it for me and also mentioned they received numerous complaints about this App. I don’t honestly see how the reviews add up to 4.7. What you said sounds great but it’s impossible to see it on the App. Always room for improvement and I’m happy you are taking the steps to address these concerns.
Uselessly User friendly

It’s nice and easy to pull up the zone and spaces, plus pay. However, if you run into any issues, there’s no help for you and you basically are stuck. Like quickly selecting the wrong vehicle, my bad. I fat fingered, got it. However, there’s nothing they can do. Absolutely nothing and no way to forgive or help work with human error. Plus the transaction fee is fairly steep compared to other parking apps. You can’t modify the vehicle, stop the session, get the money back, nothing. This isn’t the first issue I’ve had, but it’s the first one I’m finally reporting. Much prefer MobileNow! Take note ParkMobile. Not that you’ll care because you’re making money whether or not people are happy, but if you want even more happy people using the app, try working with them a LITTLE bit. Obviously you’re doing something right with 4.4 stars, just not consistently enough for me.

This is the worst parking app I have ever used. There are a number of issues with this crap app. First, it does t seem to remember my log in info ever. Once I finally log into the stupid thing, it will tell me I have to input my card info (even though I have used it just the other day). Once I enter it, it takes forever to load and then tells me that card info is already on my account. Then when it comes to parking, I have received 2 parking tickets from my school. I take the shuttle from one campus to another. I would park, open the app, go through all the crap it makes you do to pay, walk to my bus and get on, it then would take forever to process a payment, just to tell me that the payment couldn’t be completed and would log me out of my account. This app has some serious issues and then need to be fixed. I would suggest just paying the ticket booth or parking machine cause this app is garbage.

I originally downloaded this app for using with parking meters in DC, and for that purpose ParkingMobile seemed reputable enough. I then made the mistake of trusting them for booking a space in a parking garage. I booked the space and was charged, but when I arrived at the garage, I was told that it was full and that the ParkMobile “reservation” was meaningless and would not be honored. When I called ParkMobile to complain, I was told that I would get a refund of the charge, since I was denied access, but apparently it was just a way to get me off the phone b/c I never, ever received a refund, even after a follow up call. So I ended up paying twice to park. Once to ParkMobile for a bogus “reservation”, and another to a garage which actually gave me what I paid for, namely, a place to park. And in the future I will give my business to ParkMobiles competitors, who seem as though they can handle this type of stuff.

I used to use this app with no problem. Now it does not work. 1) it friezes on a spinning logo for minutes at a time 2) it logs you out constantly 3) it only sometimes accepts your password when you try to log back in 4) it suggests zones that are close to you and then says those same zones are not available near you 5) it will not take a new credit card (the “add card button” sometimes just does not work) 6) similarly with the add PayPal button 7) the login screen often just erases what you have entered when you try to log in instead of logging you in 8) at some point they added a “feature” where “this zone does not allow back to back parking” which defeats the whole helpfulness of the app... the ability to re-up your parking without going back to your car. This app is now way more hassle than it is worth. Keep a roll of quarters in your car and don’t bother with this app!

I have been signing in with no problem until today when it randomly logged me out and won’t let me log back in saying that my login is invalid. When I try to select “forgot my password” it tells me the email I’m providing is invalid. Ive been using the same credentials for almost 6 months and have been parking in the same lot in the same space for almost 6 months. The app isn’t even picking up the closest zones and spots that are near my office (close to where I park). This isn’t the first time this has happened but it’s getting ridiculous now. EDIT: I was able to log in but now my payment info is erased and I cant use my apply pay now? This is so stupid. How do you offer you can use Apple Pay but no way to actually add it. Honestly if the app isn’t usable just don’t release it until the bugs are worked out. Now I have the privilege of getting a ticket.
Updates are infuriating

Every time the app is updated I go through a many minute process to start using the app again because for some reason my information has been dropped or needs updating. This always seems to happen just when I need to park quickly. Sitting in my vehicle fussing with the app when I need to get on to my destination is infuriating. Often the new interface pops up looking totally unfamiliar and only settles back into something like its former self after unpredictable delays. This has happened several times in the last six months!!! I want the app to work reliably and without delays. Are all of these updates really needed? I’d find another parking app except that my town and university only accept ParkMobile. I am a hostage - please make me feel better about the constant frustration updates.

In general, this app is pretty useful, but I’ve had problems with it freezing, logging me out, and not processing payment when I thought it had gone through. My biggest annoyance with it though, is when you have more than one car connected to the app. You chose which car you are parking later in the process and it is really easy to miss that. I *REALLY* wish it would ask you which car you are parking FIRST, then move forward with location, duration, etc. I just barely avoided a ticket today, because I had my husband’s car, not mine, and hadn’t checked to switch the cars. This isn’t the first time I’ve paid for parking for the wrong car. I realize the fault is mine, but the app could make it much more obvious.

In spite of paying more for the convenience, my husband and I have use the app for sometime now. However, they made unauthorized charges for 2 parking sessions when there was no charge at the lot those days. This was due to the holiday season. One of the times I completed the transaction but then reached out to them asking them to cancel the charges. The 2nd time I only began to enter a parking session, noticed the sign and never completed the process. Yet, we were charged both times. Emailed asking for an adjustment. Never heard back. When we got the AMEX bill I disputed the charges only to find the next time I tried to use the app I was blocked. For a company that charges a premium for parking, to block a customer who’s been using them for years now seems really stupid. And we try not to do business with stupid companies! Wake up!!
Concept good, but some serious downsides

The idea of the app is very good and I have found it very useful. However, I have a major complaint that has really bothered me, the fact that you can not adjust anything once you have submitted for the parking space. Today, I had to pay twice for a parking spot because I paid for the wrong license plate the first time and they wouldn’t let me change it. Thus requiring for me to pay for a whole new spot for my correct license plate, while still being charged for a different car that wasn’t there. This is super frustrating, at least give like a 10 minute grace period to make adjustments (like for wrong license plate, or parking spot/zone, etc.). I understand that this is a business trying to make money, but understand that people are human and make mistakes and treat us like so.

I had added a rental car but did not select it as a default vehicle and got a $64 parking ticket as a result! Luckily the parking guy took pity on me and let me off with a warning and told me this happens to a lot of people Second, when you extend time there’s no way to prove when you extended it. It said that I had extended my time after the original time had expired, which was the first point I was trying to make when contesting my ticket. If there was a parking history option that would be better since your credit card doesn’t show the time of the transaction. If there is a way to pay manually with hard proof, do that instead of using this app

At first I loved this app - so easy to pull out the phone and enter the info. Lately though it has not been reliable. It has asked me to sign in and use my fingerprint ID, then just keeps buffering. If I enter my password then I don’t have a valid account. Then, the app does not recognize when I am in a zone, standing right in front of the machine! Twice in a week I have been stranded and had to pay with a credit card - totally negating the need for the app! Last week it charged me when I could not get on line and also used my car edit card to pay - double charged. I have updated the app and restarted my phone - nothing seems to work - very frustrating!
When it works, it’s great. Otherwise extremely aggravating.

Once again, app won’t allow me to park without adding a new payment method, and only gives me the option of adding Visa Checkout which I don’t use or want. Under payment methods, it shows my current MasterCard, PayPal, and a $9.30 credit in my ParkMobile Wallet. What is wrong with the payment methods already on file??? (Btw, the app is updated and so is my OS and phone.) This has happened to me many times over the years, and I see in your reviews that I’m not alone. If this were a free app I would be more understanding, but we pay a fee every time we use it, so I expect not to experience the same problem repeatedly. You know about this problem so why don’t you fix it once and for all?

Ive used this for several years in Santa Cruz, Ca now and have liked it for the most part. I have been burned by the meter too many times and 35 cents is worth it to avoid a parking ticket. However, when they updated to a new version a year or two ago, the app doesn’t seem to save my login info for very long (I only use it every month or two). I have to look up my password every time I park and by that time I could have made change at the change machine. I’ve marked the fingerprint and face recognition in both my phones but it doesn’t ever work either. Just a bit time consuming when you’re trying to be on time for an appointment, etc.

I’ve been using this app daily for 6 months to pay for my parking and I’ve only ever had one issue. Last week, there was a connectivity issue and my payment didn’t go through. The customer service team was super responsive on social media and walked me through a solution. In the case that you experience an issue with this app, just reach out to customer service. They’re incredible, responsive and very supportive. I will continue to use this app whenever I park anywhere. It makes parking (which can be stressful at my busy train station) easy and convenient. I use the app daily, sometimes more than once a day to park around Miami Beach. However, on a few occasions now, I’ve been given a ticket even when the parking has been correctly paid for. The problem being, the machines that the officers use to check on whether you’ve paid for your parking don’t always have the latest information. The machines are slow. I even tested this out the other day with a in a parking lot. I paid for my parking, then went over to the officer and asked him to make sure the payment had gone through. It had not gone through. I’ve just also had another parking citation dismissed. Back in June, I paid to park for one hour just off Lincoln Rd. Upon returning to my vehicle with almost 20mins still left to park, I was being issued a ticket. Of course, once the ticket is printed there is nothing the officer can do. He agreed with me that I had indeed paid for my parking and still had time left, but his machine hadn’t updated and showed, even after 40mins, that I had not paid. So even though I use this app daily, I’m not happy with how information is updated so slow.

I use this app at work and all over town all the time. It’s convenient, easy to use and fairly intuitive. My only gripe is that when I’m in a park-by-number lot I can never get it to work. So for example I’ll park in a lot with a park mobile number and numbers on each space. Park mobile will let me input the lot number as well as a space number but then when I hit “park” the app is like “no can do”. I’m not super tech savvy so it’s totally possible this would get fixed if I synced updates or something but I think apps like this should be usable for people in the “mildly skilled at tech but no maven” category like me. But other than that it’s awesome!!!

I was unfortunate to have been visiting during the time that Myrtle Beach still required paid parking in October. No matter which zone I entered into the app, it would automatically go to a no parking available page. This is the off-season with tons of parking spaces however not a single nearby zone had parking available. I’d check days later and it’s the same thing. I would’ve gone with an actual parking meter if this app was not the sole method to pay for parking in the area I was in. EDIT: If that’s the case, that the app turns off parking based off what Myrtle Beach told you. Maybe you should have the app tell the user. Because Myrtle Beach signs state otherwise. That paid parking is still required. Different people sat in their cars in several lots as if they were keeping watch. And I was not taking the risk of being towed.

What app doesn't have a stop time but have an "extend time" button. I called customer support and wasted my time when they couldn't fix the problem. When initially speaking to the representative who isn't even based in the US 🙄 she could have told me initially that the problem couldn't be fixed why go through the whole verification finding my location when you really couldn't stop my transaction spent over 10 mins on the phone to say "once it was started it can not be stopped" and when asked to speak to her supervisor she made me wait for one minute just to hear her voice again "acting" like the supervisor! Straight bull ! DO NOT USE THIS APP UNTIL THEY ADD A STOP BUTTON TO THE TIME! They will charge you even though you mistakenly put the wrong car on the meter even though the other car you wanted to add is on the account.
Fatal flaw

While this app has a lot going for it, unfortunately it has a serious design flaw which has cost me $$$ and forces me to go with a one star rating. The flaw is that if you park as I do at a New York State MTA lot, weekends are free. Thus if you leave your car over the weekend and want to say park for two days, Monday and Tuesday, you have to wait until Sunday eve to pay otherwise the app incorrectly charges you for the free weekend time. This means I have to set various reminders to alert me when I should start parking in the app. This flaw again cost me big time this weekend when I was distracted and failed to heed my reminders. The need to set reminders to use the app is a useless step which would be trivial to correct. However, although I've contacted the developers on multiple occasions to request a fix, they have ignored the request. This, one star.

Parkmobile is convenient, but if you make a mistake there is no way to get your money back. That said, their software once malfunctioned and they refunded my money for that. If you have multiple cars, You have to be very careful: it’s easy to put money on the wrong car, and you will get a ticket. That should be made clearer in the app. I was once ticketed in a rainstorm while sitting in the car trying to get the app to load. I fought the ticket but didn’t win. Another time it didn’t load quickly enough and I was ticketed while walking away from the car. Use this app carefully or you will pay plenty extra for the convenience.

I just received a parking ticket in Ocean City, Maryland after using your app to pay to park. Now the reason is my fault. Because I have multiple cars in my account on the Park Mobile app and I selected the wrong vehicle for the meter. However I think you should make selecting the proper car part of the transaction procedure when checking out. This way people who use your app to pay are able to make sure the correct car is selected before paying for the meter. *Update* after receiving a response from the app developer I now see where you can select the proper vehicle to set the meter for. The app is good. I had loaded it some time ago but never used it. I park my car and the meter has the logo on the meter. Great try to set it up. I have a good WiFi signal but it took me twenty minutes to set up the app. Admittedly I am not a tech guru however the setup was not rocket science. For whatever reason, it just took forever as I watched the “p” reappear. Once the app was set up it seemed to work as expected. Similar to other parking apps that I use. This one makes 5. They are all about the same. Just different locations. Get it. Save it. Along with the others. Set them up before you need them. And save yourself time and grief.

The app works great and is very convenient. However, I can’t count the number of times I’ve been in a rush and inadvertently paid for parking for my default vehicle when I’m parking a different vehicle. No big deal right? Just update the “parked” car within the app, right? Wrong! That’s not an option. Meaning that you have to pay AGAIN in order to not get a parking citation on the car you’ve actually parked. The app should either allow you to switch vehicles (even if limited to switching within the first 5 minutes of having paid), or it should prompt you to select a vehicle each time you pay. Either of these solutions would easily resolve this major flaw.

The app itself is great. Very easy to use and is significantly better than navigating meters and parking attendants. That’s where the good part has ended for me though. Multiple times I have reserved spots ahead of time but received parking citations in return. I have not once heard back after disputing the citations online (if you call it just tells you to go online). I’ve made them aware of the issue, they offer to research and call back with resolution, but as you’d guess I never hear back and continue to get citations. I’ve also made reservations and arrive to a full or blocked off lot which defeats the whole point of a reservation. I’m sure the experience varies from lot to lot, just be aware that my experience is very possible.

My car was towed because I had made a next day reservation, a feature that I used the first time way back in August ‘18. I booked the reservation and Inputted a new vehicle. The app instead booked my old default vehicle and the confirmation didn’t show the license plate of which vehicle was booked. Later in the day my vehicle was towed and had to pay $175 to go pick it up. Called customer service multiple times but no one was able to help me. Finally, 3.5 months later today December 5 I got a email response that vehicle can’t be changed after booking, too bad. The thing is I added a new vehicle During the booking. The app was flawed back in August, and the customer service is a joke (3.5 month for response). Better to use ParkWhiz or SpotHero which usually have better deal anyways.

We volunteer evenings in a basement in downtown DC & find this app incredibly helpful - it saves us from running out every 2 hours to fill the meter. Do wish it was as fast as it was before you updated it (the old simple version was better for our purposes). Would love a couple of changes: 1. Understand dc blocks are short but it rarely offers us the right numbers for the block we’re parking on. 2. Wish the alert that time is running out wasn’t silent - I have to keep an eye on the clock just as if I were feeding the meter with quarters.

I’ve been using this app for so long but now it’s causing me more trouble. For whatever reason every time I activate a session it does not show in Newark Parking Authority’s system. I’ve received two tickets in less than a month because their app does not sync well with Parking Authority. It is super inconvenient to pay two $45 tickets as a college student. I loved the convenience but I’m going to have to go back to using the actually meter since the app does nothing but cause me issues. Update: Parkmobile has assisted me greatly in regards to my two tickets. They went to bat for me and even got me my money back for both tickets. I’ve still decided to no longer use the app and just park in a lot to avoid the possibility of a ticket. But A+ for their customer service team helping me and making me happy.

I work in the downtown Tampa, Florida area. I use this app for my parking needs. I can always add parking time without walking blocks from work in the heat or downpour of rain using the app. The only improvement I would like to see is 1- the ability to add 30 minutes. There are times I have to add and pay for a full hour when I only need 20 minutes. And the second thing that would be cool is ‘up to the minute’ updates on available parking spots. I would love to have ‘real’ time knowledge of what parking spots are available. Overall, it’s a great app. Thank you. 👍

I used this app to pay for parking and got a citation. Be careful to make sure the correct license plate is in the app. We parked my husbands car and I paid for parking and didn’t realize I had to update the plate number. They should place a warning on the confirmation page to alert you to the car you are driving. Now I’m out the money I paid for parking and my $45 citation. I tried to contest the citation and was told too bad, it was my fault I didn’t have the correct plate number. Too bad because I like this idea but it’s just not implemented correctly. I won’t use this app again!

I use this app whenever I park at my local train station. For a while it worked great and I had no problems. Now all of a sudden I pay for the full day rate but then it says I only paid to park for 4 hours! I tried reaching out to the help desk but no one ever responded. I’m very disappointed in this app, I thought it was great! Plus if you try to use any other features you have to pay for the premium. When it should be free since you’re already paying for parking and the tax on it! Good app gone bad!

Earlier versions of this app sucked, but they seemed to iron out the "confirmation of payment" issue. That being said, the app charges a "convenience fee" for each transaction, including adding more time. This can come in handy though on a nasty weather day, and the 30 cents extra may be worth not having to fumble with the machine, or, adding more time to the meter. SIDE NOTE ABOUT THE METERS: You will still be given a parking slip from the meter even if street cleaning times prohibit it, unlike the NYC meters, which won't give you a slip during prohibited times. It's a $40 parking fine. PLUS, being that you enter your plate number in the machine (or online entering meter zone number) I imagine that a ticket officer may be alerted that your time had expired and visits the zone that you parked in looking for your plate. It's kind of like shooting fish in a barrel. (this is just a hunch while I research this more).

This app never seems to work. It defaults to PayPal and doesn’t let you enter PayPal information. It tries to put their market and credit cards above everything else. Payment should simply be add credit card. When the payment doesn’t go through it makes you re-enter everything for your parking spot all over again

There is no option to have it remind you in an hour or two to make sure you remember to hit the “stop parking” option. Which means you will end up paying $15 to park for an hour or less, just like I have, at least a quarter of the time. This is an example of a UI that intentionally doesn’t help the user so that the company / city offering the app can make more money. Super shady.

This app has been reliable and works well for me. My only issue is clunky support for multiple vehicles. There is no way that I’ve found to select a vehicle for a parking event other than the default one. So I have to go to vehicles, change the default and then park. Then I need to change it back for my more commonly used car. It would be so easy to include the option to choose one other than the default. I’m surprised it doesn’t have this capability. If I’m wrong and you can do this, I sure don’t see how. Update: the newest version provides a prominent notice of the cat being parked with the option to change to another vehicle. I guess that option has been there on the final for a while but I didn’t realize it. This solves my issue.

I had added a rental car but did not select it as a default vehicle and got a $64 parking ticket as a result! Luckily the parking guy took pity on me and let me off with a warning and told me this happens to a lot of people Second, when you extend time there’s no way to prove when you extended it. It said that I had extended my time after the original time had expired, which was the first point I was trying to make when contesting my ticket. If there was a parking history option that would be better since your credit card doesn’t show the time of the transaction. If there is a way to pay manually with hard proof, do that instead of using this app

Today I used ParkMobile and for some reason it would not let me continue until I put my payment method in. Ok, you may say, that’s fair. However I have been using The app for over a year and have put in my pay method more than once. So I did that. Then I went to park and it said I had to add a vehicle. I already have my vehicles in, so it should have given me a choice including add a vehicle. I had to back out to the automobile screen and thankfully it still had my car saved! So I chose it. And, now for the one piece of good news, I was able to go back to the Park screen and chose my payment method and Park. The whole point of this app is convenience, but they still have A LONG WAY TO GO! To make matters worse this is the second time I have been asked to add a payment method and both times have been in miserable weather. Stay in the car you say, well when the numbers on the parking spot are too small or illegible you must get out in the weather. Today I was able to scan the code, which saved time out in the cold. The app developers need to have a focus group of users get together and tear this app apart. It is such a great idea, yet falls so short of expectations. I want this app to improve so I can give it a 5 star and sing its praises. Hopefully they will get there sooner than later.

Every time I try to use this app I get this message “We’re sorry, there was a problem starting your parking session. Please try scanning your ticket again.” I then must delete the app reinstall it and try again. This works some of the time not all! Parkmobile must have garbage coders and somehow have taken over the nations parking industry. Why fund people in Atlanta to break your handling of parking infrastructure at inflated prices. Isn’t tech suppose to make things cheaper...nope. Putting quarters in meters worked. Having a garage gate attendants worked. Paying technology companies to park at inflated rates with a phone app that never works is a con.

When you use ParkMobile, your phone keeps track of your remaining time, but meter does not display it. This means multiple Parker’s could be double, triple, quadruple paying for time on a parking meter. To be fair, they should coordinate with the meter to display time remaining.

Forgot my password — requested....waited...waited. Created a new acct. - now the ‘new’ acct will not accept my phone as “it’s already in use”. FAQ’s recommend I log into the Website to make the change —- but that site asked for all my banking information again. Attempted to reset my password on the website - and again......no response to my Forgot Password request. Horrible - needs a complete overhaul.

The is very convenient, no picking up ticket to put on your dash. No need to be nervous to run out of time and risk a ticked. Let you know to go back or extend time. That said, it has been very unreliable. I have reported problems twice but no change. I will give up if it is not fixed soon.

This app constantly logs me off, I have to use it at school so imagine my frustration when I’m parking and running into class & have to spend the next 20 minutes deleting the app, re-download it, and signing in again all because it won’t recognize my sign in information 90% of the time I open it. My favorite is when I do all this and then somehow it doesn’t have my payment information. All the while hoping I don’t get a ticket while I’m trying to do all this. I’ve just given up and will only be using the online website. Unfortunately since my university signed up for this terrible service, I don’t have any choice on giving you money. I’m about to start carrying quarters again just so I don’t have to give this company my money.

Apple UI always has the left button be a “cancel” or “no” / but this app has the cancel on the right - so when I go to end my parking I always accidentally cancel and keep it running. I’m sure this was done on purpose to get more $.

In general, this app is pretty useful, but I’ve had problems with it freezing, logging me out, and not processing payment when I thought it had gone through. My biggest annoyance with it though, is when you have more than one car connected to the app. You chose which car you are parking later in the process and it is really easy to miss that. I *REALLY* wish it would ask you which car you are parking FIRST, then move forward with location, duration, etc. I just barely avoided a ticket today, because I had my husband’s car, not mine, and hadn’t checked to switch the cars. This isn’t the first time I’ve paid for parking for the wrong car. I realize the fault is mine, but the app could make it much more obvious.

I enjoy using the app and it works in any city. It’s a little user/unfriendly. I pull up and park and type in the parking spot # and it won’t allow me to to anything without adding a car. I have two saved and it doesn’t give me a choice to pick one. Then when I start over and pick a car I have to enter all info again, then it needs a credit card. I have 3 saved to the app. Needs to be easier to use!!!

App is rubbish. The defaults on the web site are different than the app. Changing a notification on one does not update the other. Bug: when you disable in app notifications and try to reenable it brings you to the notification settings area and you are stuck in this loop. Tech support told me to reinstall the app based on the changes they made and of course i see something different. No trust nor confidence. Help desk via email unresponsive. Calling in helps but regardless if you choose account issues or tech issues you end up speaking to the same people. So why the prompts?

This app is totally unreliable as is the “customer service”. I travel for work and rent cars often, so I have several vehicles stored in the app. When paying a meter I accidentally selected the wrong license plate and paid...I immediately realized the mistake and tried to correct it. The app has no way to edit a session. I tried to start a new one, but because my car was already parked in that zone, it wouldn’t create a new session. No joke - by the time I could get back to my car I had a $30 parking ticket because the license plate didn’t match the ParkMobile entry. I’ve emailed the company to try and have this resolved, with absolutely no response. Learn from my mistake - just pay the meter and don’t let ParkMobile continue screwing people.

I had been logged in, and had used this app for >6 months. Today I tried to use the app, and not only would it not recognize my password, it did not recognize my email! I attempted to contact a number of people including Park mobile, and the only thing that occurred with ParkMobile was that I got disconnected after being on hold and being transferred several times. I did delete the app and went to the website, and it would not acknowledge my payment methods regardless of what I did. I attempted to pay a minimum of seven times before I finally got frustrated. I then created a new account, & it finally worked.

U need to be able to extend parking on a 1hr parking spot. There should also be sometime of grace period. I keep getting tickets because of waiting for the meter to be expired to pay for the next hr. For example 1hr parking I have to extend it at least 1-2 mins before the 1 hr is up. Meaning I have to start a new session which in reality it causes me to over pay for parking. I end up paying 1hr for only 58mins of use. Also I’m always getting tickets because the parking agents have the ParkMobile app and wait until your parking is 1 sec expired to give u a ticket. The only way to prevent this from happening is to over pay your parking sessions over and over. Such a scam. You’ll end up paying from your house a few hrs of parking but than come to the car and realize you got a ticket because you didn’t extend it for 1 simple second. I’ve had to pay a couple thousand in parking tickets, fees and tolls because of this app. SCAMM SCAMMM SCAMMMMMMING YOUR MONEY WHEN YOU THOUGHT THIS APP WOULD MAKE YOUR LIFE EASIER AND CONVENIENT. FOOLS!!!

In spite of paying more for the convenience, my husband and I have use the app for sometime now. However, they made unauthorized charges for 2 parking sessions when there was no charge at the lot those days. This was due to the holiday season. One of the times I completed the transaction but then reached out to them asking them to cancel the charges. The 2nd time I only began to enter a parking session, noticed the sign and never completed the process. Yet, we were charged both times. Emailed asking for an adjustment. Never heard back. When we got the AMEX bill I disputed the charges only to find the next time I tried to use the app I was blocked. For a company that charges a premium for parking, to block a customer who’s been using them for years now seems really stupid. And we try not to do business with stupid companies! Wake up!!

This app just doesn’t do its job. It doesn’t pick up the locations and yes my location services is on. To make matters worse, I typed in the location number of where I’m parked in Miami location 40123 and find I have a ticket to pay when I get back to my car. Well location 40123 is on the sign, I took a picture of it, and location 40123 is also location marked on the ticket for where I was parked. I checked what I typed into the app and it sure is 40123. Unfortunately, I found I was charged to Park in Minneapolis Minnesota not Miami and not only did I get a ticket, but I also paid for the parking as I was charged for it. Don’t use this app, it’s screwy.

I don’t even have time to list all the things all the things that went wrong with this terrible functioning, unreliable app. I parked my car and walked off, opening to app to pay for my parking. The app then bugged out and had issue after issue. First, it would randomly sign me out and and wouldn’t let me sign back in, telling me my info was incorrect, or simply loading forever. Once it finally started realizing my info WAS correct, I tried to click on a zone and it wouldn’t load it. Then, when it finally did load it, it kept telling me I didn’t have a payment method on file, despite having used it before. When I went to add a payment method, it showed that I did indeed still have a payment method on file. I continuously opened and closed the app, again and again trying to get it to simply function properly, and every time it was a different issue, different bug. Eventually I became so frustrated with it that I went and grabbed my wallet, walked all the way back down to the parking space to pay manually, and upon arrival realized that I had received a parking ticket in the time that I spent trying to simply get to app to function. The app fails at the simplest levels, and is just terrible and unreliable in general. An app like this is supposed to be reliable - that’s the whole idea. Don’t waste your time on this.

Update 9/18: in response to ParkMobiles apology and offer to assist via email, I sent my third email support request on 11 August (previous emails on and 21 and 29 June) and not one email has been responded to. Stop acting like you have customer service when you clearly don’t. Bottom line: good app, convenient, but you’ll never ever get a refund should anything not work perfectly! And no one from “customer support” will ever respond to your emails. ====== The app is good and does what is says, but customer support is non-existent. The app warns that the service is merely a financial transaction tool between municipalities and the meter so the app developer will NOT process refunds. However the app offers an opportunity to forward your comments to the city to request a refund. I received an automated email once the ticket was opened, then nothing. I’ve sent follow up emails and not even an acknowledgment, nothing. The original email says it was from the park mobile helpdesk, but I’m pretty certain one doesn’t even exist. Why offer to facilitate communication with the municipality if you’re not going to do it in the first place and then not even get back to the customer with any update(s) much less an actual resolution. It’s been over a month and nothing.

I parked and saw that parking could be paid through this app. I downloaded the app, entered my vehicle and payment information, entered the zone where I was parking, set it to pay for two hours ($2.85). I got confirmation and even saw the clock start counting down. I go to lunch, then come back to a $42 parking ticket. I check the app and somehow there is nothing in my activity history. Edit: I have sent the information as they requested. The event happened exactly as described above. I will update my review to include how this is handled once it is resolved. Edit #2: I've upgraded my review to 4 stars. The app didn't work and I got a ticket, but I was surprised to find that the developers actually responded to this, they investigated, and ultimately reimbursed me the price of the ticket. That's excellent customer service, which unfortunately isn't common these days. And for the record, I used the app again a couple of weekends ago (I made sure to take a screenshot this time) and it worked fine, so I'm not sure what happened with that first one.

I am going to have to delete the useless app because my bank card was stopped due to fraud, and I cannot enter my new number. No help available and not user friendly. Went into every conceivable help category and received no information that worked. It said I can change the card by tapping on the old one and reenter. Well that isn’t true. I spend 10 minutes trying to park before I got down on the floor of my car doing the search for coins. Then I went to my communities parking to complain about their app and they won’t take complaints - I have to contact an uncontactable company. So this company has total control of parking in my community and they have no way of being held accountable for how miserably their app works. I sat down at home and have been working on this for 1/2 an hour already without resolution in changing my payment. This is a junk poorly supported app and I have no choice but to erase it. What a crock and what bs. I am going to write a letter to my council members to let them know that this app is not workable and the parking office doesn’t want to hear it. Communities need to hold these companies accountable when they have dedicated their technology to this monopoly. Idiocy and incompetence.

I hate to pay for parking because I’m an entitled rich white man, but if I’m going to have to endure the injustice of not just doing what I want when I want where I want, I can at least purchase the minimum park time while I sit here waiting for my daughter to get her stitches out and get notified when I run out of time so I can run down and put more money in the oh wait I’m getting a notification now that I’m running low on time I gotta go whaaaat I don’t gotta go I just click on extend my time while I sit here on my comfy bottom writing reviews for all my favorite apps and complaining about the barbarity if having to pay for parking why can’t They send servants to my house who could just carry me overhead while someone feeds me grapes. If I can’t live in that reality, I’ll at least pay for my parking virtually without interacting with people or parking meters oh no I think the receptionist wants to say something look away look away she said my name I gotta go now.

I’ve only used the app a couple of times but it’s always worked well for me. It’s fairly straight forward and easy to use. You can add any vehicle to your account quickly from anywhere. (I even added my daughters best friends car from home when needed to park, because they are teenagers and don’t always think ahead.) You can have multiple vehicles on your account. All of the info you need to know about a space (hour and minute rate, maximum time allowed in a space, etc) so you don’t accidentally get a ticket is given in the app when you chose a space/parking zone. I often use the app before I even get out of my car (and I counsel my children to do the same) which gives me a greater sense of security. I like that it warns you when your time is going to run out and I find it very convenient to be able to extend my time in a space from my smartphone rather than having to run out and feed the meter.

Older versions allowed easy switch between cars. Also clearly identified which car you were paying for parking. You need to now go into settings and change your default car anytime you want to pay for a different car that is already in your list of vehicles. I have three cars and was confused as to which car I had set as the default since it did not tell me as I was setting the parking duration. Paid a $30 violation plus the fee to the app plus the $6 to the city for the other car that was home in my driveway. MAKE IT EASY TO switch between cars like before. SETTINGS ARE NOT SOMETHING YOU SHOULD HAVE TO TINKER WITH WHEN YOU HAVE A CAR FULL OF KIDS AND YOU ARE TRYING TO PAY FOR PARKING. UPDATE: Changed to five stars from one star. App owner made good on promise to make things right. Expeditiously handled the complaint to my satisfaction- above and beyond which is rare. Thank you.

Make sure you watch out what you are paying for. Make sure you know metered hours because the Parkmobile app will charge you regardless. I downloaded this app so I could pay for my parking and not miss my train. The app works fine except for one very bothersome component: It does not tell you what time to what time you are obligated to pay for parking. Instead it allows you to pay for parking at all hours of the day and night. I paid for parking from 8:15am - 4:15pm. There are no signs inside of the parking lot telling you the metered hours. So I paid those 8 hours. However, while I was still away I wasn’t going to be able to make it back until after 5pm so I paid $0.35 from 4:15pm to 5:15pm. I then paid again until 6:15pm. Even though the metered hours are only from 9am-5pm the app lets you pay their transaction fee during these off hours when you don’t have to pay for parking!

Apparently I Went through all the trouble to download this app and pay through the app through my PayPal and it shows paid in my timer and began ticking away...but My meter was still flashing red saying it needed payment. After two minutes of it still flashing red I finally went ahead and made a payment with my debit card instead manually and that worked instantly. I double checked and screenshot all my information everything was correctly entered on the app. When I contacted customer service about this they basically said i’m out the money and should not have double paid. Even though it was flashing red telling me that it was expired still. And that I could’ve just fought it if they would’ve tried to give me a ticket. This is not appropriately set up and I would NOT recommend this to anyone. Do not waste your time. You’re going to end up with a big fight with this company or a big fight trying to get your ticket reversed because it does not sync up with the meter. This was verified though customer support.

They out stickers on each meter but some don’t even work or they are only good for 2 hours but they are digital. Walked to my office and thought I’ll pay my meter at 8am til 4pm but when it came to adding time it wasn’t available ! This morning I parked at a meter that is out front thinking it’s digital 10 hour meter and it’s only a two hour meter from 8-10 but when I parked there I could put 3 hours 7-10 but see, our meter people start at 8 but now it’s at 8 it’s only good for 2 hours. Seems fishy to me. Now the 2 hour meter cost me 90 cents when I could have just put in 50 cents for 2 hours. I thought this app was going to be helpful as I’m disabled and can’t walk back to meter to add two quarters :( so now I’ll have to pay 90 cents every two hours instead of 50 cents. They should post how much each meter will allow on the meter and not require you to drive to each one to check how long you can do it.

This app making street parking and extending your parking time very easy. I live in Philadelphia, where metered on street parking is everywhere. The app makes it convenient to park, pay, and then see how much time you have left. The app also lets you extend your parking further. However, it charges you a significantly higher amount to do so and the up-charge is ridiculous. The app wanted to charge me $7 to extend by one hour, the same amount I had just paid for 3 hours. Then when the parking expired, I was not allowed to “re-park” in the zone (not actually a policy of Philadelphia parking, just the app). I had to go to my car anyways, where I used the on-street meter to pay for an additional hour in my spot without moving the car. I am fine with paying a small fee for the service, but it seems ridiculous to hike prices by so much to extend parking time. Will probably not use in the future.

This app has been reliable and works well for me. My only issue is clunky support for multiple vehicles. There is no way that I’ve found to select a vehicle for a parking event other than the default one. So I have to go to vehicles, change the default and then park. Then I need to change it back for my more commonly used car. It would be so easy to include the option to choose one other than the default. I’m surprised it doesn’t have this capability. If I’m wrong and you can do this, I sure don’t see how. Update: the newest version provides a prominent notice of the cat being parked with the option to change to another vehicle. I guess that option has been there on the final for a while but I didn’t realize it. This solves my issue.

U need to be able to extend parking on a 1hr parking spot. There should also be sometime of grace period. I keep getting tickets because of waiting for the meter to be expired to pay for the next hr. For example 1hr parking I have to extend it at least 1-2 mins before the 1 hr is up. Meaning I have to start a new session which in reality it causes me to over pay for parking. I end up paying 1hr for only 58mins of use. Also I’m always getting tickets because the parking agents have the ParkMobile app and wait until your parking is 1 sec expired to give u a ticket. The only way to prevent this from happening is to over pay your parking sessions over and over. Such a scam. You’ll end up paying from your house a few hrs of parking but than come to the car and realize you got a ticket because you didn’t extend it for 1 simple second. I’ve had to pay a couple thousand in parking tickets, fees and tolls because of this app. SCAMM SCAMMM SCAMMMMMMING YOUR MONEY WHEN YOU THOUGHT THIS APP WOULD MAKE YOUR LIFE EASIER AND CONVENIENT. FOOLS!!!

I used the app to pay for parking on 2 different zones in one day (let’s call them Zone A and B). Parking in Zone A I had no problem. When I parked for an appointment later in the afternoon, it was in Zone B. I vividly remember carefully inputting the Zone B’s number when I was paying for my second parking spot. After my appointment in the afternoon, to my dismay, there was a parking citation on my windshield. Upon investigating, it looked like the app copied the zone number from Zone A when I was inputting info for Zone B (even though I carefully put in the correct one, the app must have autofilled it, I cannot see any other way it could’ve happened). Therefore, the parking enforcement officer couldn’t see my payment for that zone. I appealed the $15 parking ticket but was eventually denied. I strongly believe that a glitch in the program caused me to receive this ticket and that your company should be responsible for its payment. I emailed customer support but has not had any reply as of yet.

I’ve used the app four times and I’m impressed. While others waited in line at the pay stations I pulled out my phone and paid while I was on my way to my appointment. Quick and painless. The reminder that the meter is expiring might be my favorite feature. Assuming I don’t have the glitches others have reported, this app is a huge leap in parking. Update: as i’ve continued to use the app, more glitches appear: forgets my profile, allows me to go through with processing, and just before payment it tells me that I need to add a vehicle. I have to cancel everything, go back to add a vehicle – but there are three vehicles already on my account! Numerous other such glitches have occurred (like telling me I needed to add a payment method – but there already two credit cards, and Apple Pay, on the account), making me spend time to redo the entire payment process. This app has potential, but not ready for prime time. And since it’s been in use for so long, there’s no excuse.

First of all, as a college student, I love this app. It’s really helped me out because I have classes and studios that last more than 2 hours and running out to fill the meter is a bit ridiculous. My one complaint about this app is that I don’t get notified about half the time that my meter has expired. With the way my school parking is, if I go more than 15 minutes without paying I have a very high chance of getting a ticket. I think it would be a great addition to the Parkmobile app if there was a feature to let you know once you’ve gotten a citation so you don’t keep paying all day long when you’ve already been ticketed. Or, come up with a way to have an all day parking choice so everyone doesn’t have to keep their phone on them at all times. Thanks!

Love the ease and convenience of being able to pay remotely with your phone and even extend your time remotely – probably one of the best perks. Disappointed that Apple Pay is not a default and that it is up to each municipality and or area to accept Apple Pay. I thought the app simply wasn’t working until I stumbled upon a list of cities that Apple Pay is accepted. It turns out only a tiny parking lot is all that takes Apple Pay in the City of St. Louis. All of their public street parking requires a credit card on file. Not awesome. Signage and zone numbers need to be tightened up quite a bit. I’m finding more often than not I still have to get out of the car to figure out where the hell I’m parked or what zone I’m in because you certainly can’t read the tiny little signs that are facing the wrong direction instead of angled toward the car.

First time using the app, looked on the map for a place I wanted to park it stated it would be $25. Set my time 6 PM to 1 AM. Paid my $25. I was driving oversize vehicle so I knew in New York they will charge extra for that. Arrived a half an hour early to pick up my vehicle. Was charged $32 extra. The complete bill was $57. The parking attendant informed me that he would be charging $10 more for oversize vehicle, which is what I expected. What I didn’t expect was to be pay more than $25 to park as per the app. I called customer support. The support person was not at all knowledgeable or understanding my situation. It’s took her 25 minutes to finally tell me that I did not pay $25 to park but just to reserve the spot. Not at all what I thought I was going to pay. Also if she just said that to me immediately I wouldn’t be waiting around for 25 minutes. It was a freaking nightmare at 1:30am in the morning. I will never use this app again and I suggest you do the same.

I have been a very frequent user of parkmoblie, and had been happy with it. Not long ago I used it for the to reserve a parking garage for the first time, but the access road was closed due to emergency road work, preventing any access to the garage. I couldn't park as planned and was late for my work. I requested a refund from parkmoblie, knowing it wasn't their fault, and with some difficulty (was told to call the garage, which told me to call parkmobile, repeat three times) they granted a "one time" refund. The difficulty with which this was granted and the customer service, which made me feel like I was a perpetrator and the beneficiary of some grand gesture in form of a refund, makes me much less likely to ever use the app again. Instead of thanking me for my frequent use and apologizing for what happened, I now am fearful that should that happen again they will not even give me the courtesy of listening.

What would be one functionality of a parking app that would be just complete common sense? How to I extend my time. A simple button on the main screen where you see your time running out? Nope. Have to go through numerous articles in the help menu which still doesn’t address it. Tried this for the first and last time and still received a $25 citation from the city. Even showed them a picture of my car parked right under the sign with copies of my paid receipts. THIS APP DOES NOT WORK. I do respect the fact that you responded! Hats off to you! However, based on the majority of these reviews, there’s a ton of work to be done. The city took care of it for me and also mentioned they received numerous complaints about this App. I don’t honestly see how the reviews add up to 4.7. What you said sounds great but it’s impossible to see it on the App. Always room for improvement and I’m happy you are taking the steps to address these concerns.

It’s nice and easy to pull up the zone and spaces, plus pay. However, if you run into any issues, there’s no help for you and you basically are stuck. Like quickly selecting the wrong vehicle, my bad. I fat fingered, got it. However, there’s nothing they can do. Absolutely nothing and no way to forgive or help work with human error. Plus the transaction fee is fairly steep compared to other parking apps. You can’t modify the vehicle, stop the session, get the money back, nothing. This isn’t the first issue I’ve had, but it’s the first one I’m finally reporting. Much prefer MobileNow! Take note ParkMobile. Not that you’ll care because you’re making money whether or not people are happy, but if you want even more happy people using the app, try working with them a LITTLE bit. Obviously you’re doing something right with 4.4 stars, just not consistently enough for me.

This is the worst parking app I have ever used. There are a number of issues with this crap app. First, it does t seem to remember my log in info ever. Once I finally log into the stupid thing, it will tell me I have to input my card info (even though I have used it just the other day). Once I enter it, it takes forever to load and then tells me that card info is already on my account. Then when it comes to parking, I have received 2 parking tickets from my school. I take the shuttle from one campus to another. I would park, open the app, go through all the crap it makes you do to pay, walk to my bus and get on, it then would take forever to process a payment, just to tell me that the payment couldn’t be completed and would log me out of my account. This app has some serious issues and then need to be fixed. I would suggest just paying the ticket booth or parking machine cause this app is garbage.

I originally downloaded this app for using with parking meters in DC, and for that purpose ParkingMobile seemed reputable enough. I then made the mistake of trusting them for booking a space in a parking garage. I booked the space and was charged, but when I arrived at the garage, I was told that it was full and that the ParkMobile “reservation” was meaningless and would not be honored. When I called ParkMobile to complain, I was told that I would get a refund of the charge, since I was denied access, but apparently it was just a way to get me off the phone b/c I never, ever received a refund, even after a follow up call. So I ended up paying twice to park. Once to ParkMobile for a bogus “reservation”, and another to a garage which actually gave me what I paid for, namely, a place to park. And in the future I will give my business to ParkMobiles competitors, who seem as though they can handle this type of stuff.

I used to use this app with no problem. Now it does not work. 1) it friezes on a spinning logo for minutes at a time 2) it logs you out constantly 3) it only sometimes accepts your password when you try to log back in 4) it suggests zones that are close to you and then says those same zones are not available near you 5) it will not take a new credit card (the “add card button” sometimes just does not work) 6) similarly with the add PayPal button 7) the login screen often just erases what you have entered when you try to log in instead of logging you in 8) at some point they added a “feature” where “this zone does not allow back to back parking” which defeats the whole helpfulness of the app... the ability to re-up your parking without going back to your car. This app is now way more hassle than it is worth. Keep a roll of quarters in your car and don’t bother with this app!

I have been signing in with no problem until today when it randomly logged me out and won’t let me log back in saying that my login is invalid. When I try to select “forgot my password” it tells me the email I’m providing is invalid. Ive been using the same credentials for almost 6 months and have been parking in the same lot in the same space for almost 6 months. The app isn’t even picking up the closest zones and spots that are near my office (close to where I park). This isn’t the first time this has happened but it’s getting ridiculous now. EDIT: I was able to log in but now my payment info is erased and I cant use my apply pay now? This is so stupid. How do you offer you can use Apple Pay but no way to actually add it. Honestly if the app isn’t usable just don’t release it until the bugs are worked out. Now I have the privilege of getting a ticket.
Updates are infuriating

Every time the app is updated I go through a many minute process to start using the app again because for some reason my information has been dropped or needs updating. This always seems to happen just when I need to park quickly. Sitting in my vehicle fussing with the app when I need to get on to my destination is infuriating. Often the new interface pops up looking totally unfamiliar and only settles back into something like its former self after unpredictable delays. This has happened several times in the last six months!!! I want the app to work reliably and without delays. Are all of these updates really needed? I’d find another parking app except that my town and university only accept ParkMobile. I am a hostage - please make me feel better about the constant frustration updates.

In general, this app is pretty useful, but I’ve had problems with it freezing, logging me out, and not processing payment when I thought it had gone through. My biggest annoyance with it though, is when you have more than one car connected to the app. You chose which car you are parking later in the process and it is really easy to miss that. I *REALLY* wish it would ask you which car you are parking FIRST, then move forward with location, duration, etc. I just barely avoided a ticket today, because I had my husband’s car, not mine, and hadn’t checked to switch the cars. This isn’t the first time I’ve paid for parking for the wrong car. I realize the fault is mine, but the app could make it much more obvious.

In spite of paying more for the convenience, my husband and I have use the app for sometime now. However, they made unauthorized charges for 2 parking sessions when there was no charge at the lot those days. This was due to the holiday season. One of the times I completed the transaction but then reached out to them asking them to cancel the charges. The 2nd time I only began to enter a parking session, noticed the sign and never completed the process. Yet, we were charged both times. Emailed asking for an adjustment. Never heard back. When we got the AMEX bill I disputed the charges only to find the next time I tried to use the app I was blocked. For a company that charges a premium for parking, to block a customer who’s been using them for years now seems really stupid. And we try not to do business with stupid companies! Wake up!!

The idea of the app is very good and I have found it very useful. However, I have a major complaint that has really bothered me, the fact that you can not adjust anything once you have submitted for the parking space. Today, I had to pay twice for a parking spot because I paid for the wrong license plate the first time and they wouldn’t let me change it. Thus requiring for me to pay for a whole new spot for my correct license plate, while still being charged for a different car that wasn’t there. This is super frustrating, at least give like a 10 minute grace period to make adjustments (like for wrong license plate, or parking spot/zone, etc.). I understand that this is a business trying to make money, but understand that people are human and make mistakes and treat us like so.

I’ve used this a few times with success. BUT BEWARE!!!! There’s no option to choose what car you’re using when you park. I had added a rental car but did not select it as a default vehicle and got a $64 parking ticket as a result! Luckily the parking guy took pity on me and let me off with a warning and told me this happens to a lot of people Second, when you extend time there’s no way to prove when you extended it. It said that I had extended my time after the original time had expired, which was the first point I was trying to make when contesting my ticket. If there was a parking history option that would be better since your credit card doesn’t show the time of the transaction. If there is a way to pay manually with hard proof, do that instead of using this app

At first I loved this app - so easy to pull out the phone and enter the info. Lately though it has not been reliable. It has asked me to sign in and use my fingerprint ID, then just keeps buffering. If I enter my password then I don’t have a valid account. Then, the app does not recognize when I am in a zone, standing right in front of the machine! Twice in a week I have been stranded and had to pay with a credit card - totally negating the need for the app! Last week it charged me when I could not get on line and also used my car edit card to pay - double charged. I have updated the app and restarted my phone - nothing seems to work - very frustrating!
When it works, it’s great. Otherwise extremely aggravating.

Once again, app won’t allow me to park without adding a new payment method, and only gives me the option of adding Visa Checkout which I don’t use or want. Under payment methods, it shows my current MasterCard, PayPal, and a $9.30 credit in my ParkMobile Wallet. What is wrong with the payment methods already on file??? (Btw, the app is updated and so is my OS and phone.) This has happened to me many times over the years, and I see in your reviews that I’m not alone. If this were a free app I would be more understanding, but we pay a fee every time we use it, so I expect not to experience the same problem repeatedly. You know about this problem so why don’t you fix it once and for all?

Ive used this for several years in Santa Cruz, Ca now and have liked it for the most part. I have been burned by the meter too many times and 35 cents is worth it to avoid a parking ticket. However, when they updated to a new version a year or two ago, the app doesn’t seem to save my login info for very long (I only use it every month or two). I have to look up my password every time I park and by that time I could have made change at the change machine. I’ve marked the fingerprint and face recognition in both my phones but it doesn’t ever work either. Just a bit time consuming when you’re trying to be on time for an appointment, etc.

I’ve been using this app daily for 6 months to pay for my parking and I’ve only ever had one issue. Last week, there was a connectivity issue and my payment didn’t go through. The customer service team was super responsive on social media and walked me through a solution. In the case that you experience an issue with this app, just reach out to customer service. They’re incredible, responsive and very supportive. I will continue to use this app whenever I park anywhere. It makes parking (which can be stressful at my busy train station) easy and convenient. I use the app daily, sometimes more than once a day to park around Miami Beach. However, on a few occasions now, I’ve been given a ticket even when the parking has been correctly paid for. The problem being, the machines that the officers use to check on whether you’ve paid for your parking don’t always have the latest information. The machines are slow. I even tested this out the other day with a in a parking lot. I paid for my parking, then went over to the officer and asked him to make sure the payment had gone through. It had not gone through. I’ve just also had another parking citation dismissed. Back in June, I paid to park for one hour just off Lincoln Rd. Upon returning to my vehicle with almost 20mins still left to park, I was being issued a ticket. Of course, once the ticket is printed there is nothing the officer can do. He agreed with me that I had indeed paid for my parking and still had time left, but his machine hadn’t updated and showed, even after 40mins, that I had not paid. So even though I use this app daily, I’m not happy with how information is updated so slow.

I use this app at work and all over town all the time. It’s convenient, easy to use and fairly intuitive. My only gripe is that when I’m in a park-by-number lot I can never get it to work. So for example I’ll park in a lot with a park mobile number and numbers on each space. Park mobile will let me input the lot number as well as a space number but then when I hit “park” the app is like “no can do”. I’m not super tech savvy so it’s totally possible this would get fixed if I synced updates or something but I think apps like this should be usable for people in the “mildly skilled at tech but no maven” category like me. But other than that it’s awesome!!!

I was unfortunate to have been visiting during the time that Myrtle Beach still required paid parking in October. No matter which zone I entered into the app, it would automatically go to a no parking available page. This is the off-season with tons of parking spaces however not a single nearby zone had parking available. I’d check days later and it’s the same thing. I would’ve gone with an actual parking meter if this app was not the sole method to pay for parking in the area I was in. EDIT: If that’s the case, that the app turns off parking based off what Myrtle Beach told you. Maybe you should have the app tell the user. Because Myrtle Beach signs state otherwise. That paid parking is still required. Different people sat in their cars in several lots as if they were keeping watch. And I was not taking the risk of being towed.

What app doesn't have a stop time but have an "extend time" button. I called customer support and wasted my time when they couldn't fix the problem. When initially speaking to the representative who isn't even based in the US 🙄 she could have told me initially that the problem couldn't be fixed why go through the whole verification finding my location when you really couldn't stop my transaction spent over 10 mins on the phone to say "once it was started it can not be stopped" and when asked to speak to her supervisor she made me wait for one minute just to hear her voice again "acting" like the supervisor! Straight bull ! DO NOT USE THIS APP UNTIL THEY ADD A STOP BUTTON TO THE TIME! They will charge you even though you mistakenly put the wrong car on the meter even though the other car you wanted to add is on the account.

While this app has a lot going for it, unfortunately it has a serious design flaw which has cost me $$$ and forces me to go with a one star rating. The flaw is that if you park as I do at a New York State MTA lot, weekends are free. Thus if you leave your car over the weekend and want to say park for two days, Monday and Tuesday, you have to wait until Sunday eve to pay otherwise the app incorrectly charges you for the free weekend time. This means I have to set various reminders to alert me when I should start parking in the app. This flaw again cost me big time this weekend when I was distracted and failed to heed my reminders. The need to set reminders to use the app is a useless step which would be trivial to correct. However, although I've contacted the developers on multiple occasions to request a fix, they have ignored the request. This, one star.

Parkmobile is convenient, but if you make a mistake there is no way to get your money back. That said, their software once malfunctioned and they refunded my money for that. If you have multiple cars, You have to be very careful: it’s easy to put money on the wrong car, and you will get a ticket. That should be made clearer in the app. I was once ticketed in a rainstorm while sitting in the car trying to get the app to load. I fought the ticket but didn’t win. Another time it didn’t load quickly enough and I was ticketed while walking away from the car. Use this app carefully or you will pay plenty extra for the convenience.

I just received a parking ticket in Ocean City, Maryland after using your app to pay to park. Now the reason is my fault. Because I have multiple cars in my account on the Park Mobile app and I selected the wrong vehicle for the meter. However I think you should make selecting the proper car part of the transaction procedure when checking out. This way people who use your app to pay are able to make sure the correct car is selected before paying for the meter. *Update* after receiving a response from the app developer I now see where you can select the proper vehicle to set the meter for. Thank you for your help!

The app is good. I had loaded it some time ago but never used it. I park my car and the meter has the logo on the meter. Great try to set it up. I have a good WiFi signal but it took me twenty minutes to set up the app. Admittedly I am not a tech guru however the setup was not rocket science. For whatever reason, it just took forever as I watched the “p” reappear. Once the app was set up it seemed to work as expected. Similar to other parking apps that I use. This one makes 5. They are all about the same. Just different locations. Get it. Save it. Along with the others. Set them up before you need them. And save yourself time and grief.
One major flaw

The app works great and is very convenient. However, I can’t count the number of times I’ve been in a rush and inadvertently paid for parking for my default vehicle when I’m parking a different vehicle. No big deal right? Just update the “parked” car within the app, right? Wrong! That’s not an option. Meaning that you have to pay AGAIN in order to not get a parking citation on the car you’ve actually parked. The app should either allow you to switch vehicles (even if limited to switching within the first 5 minutes of having paid), or it should prompt you to select a vehicle each time you pay. Either of these solutions would easily resolve this major flaw.

The app itself is great. Very easy to use and is significantly better than navigating meters and parking attendants. That’s where the good part has ended for me though. Multiple times I have reserved spots ahead of time but received parking citations in return. I have not once heard back after disputing the citations online (if you call it just tells you to go online). I’ve made them aware of the issue, they offer to research and call back with resolution, but as you’d guess I never hear back and continue to get citations. I’ve also made reservations and arrive to a full or blocked off lot which defeats the whole point of a reservation. I’m sure the experience varies from lot to lot, just be aware that my experience is very possible.

My car was towed because I had made a next day reservation, a feature that I used the first time way back in August ‘18. I booked the reservation and Inputted a new vehicle. The app instead booked my old default vehicle and the confirmation didn’t show the license plate of which vehicle was booked. Later in the day my vehicle was towed and had to pay $175 to go pick it up. Called customer service multiple times but no one was able to help me. Finally, 3.5 months later today December 5 I got a email response that vehicle can’t be changed after booking, too bad. The thing is I added a new vehicle During the booking. The app was flawed back in August, and the customer service is a joke (3.5 month for response). Better to use ParkWhiz or SpotHero which usually have better deal anyways.

We volunteer evenings in a basement in downtown DC & find this app incredibly helpful - it saves us from running out every 2 hours to fill the meter. Do wish it was as fast as it was before you updated it (the old simple version was better for our purposes). Would love a couple of changes: 1. Understand dc blocks are short but it rarely offers us the right numbers for the block we’re parking on. 2. Wish the alert that time is running out wasn’t silent - I have to keep an eye on the clock just as if I were feeding the meter with quarters.

I’ve been using this app for so long but now it’s causing me more trouble. For whatever reason every time I activate a session it does not show in Newark Parking Authority’s system. I’ve received two tickets in less than a month because their app does not sync well with Parking Authority. It is super inconvenient to pay two $45 tickets as a college student. I loved the convenience but I’m going to have to go back to using the actually meter since the app does nothing but cause me issues. Update: Parkmobile has assisted me greatly in regards to my two tickets. They went to bat for me and even got me my money back for both tickets. I’ve still decided to no longer use the app and just park in a lot to avoid the possibility of a ticket. But A+ for their customer service team helping me and making me happy.

I work in the downtown Tampa, Florida area. I use this app for my parking needs. I can always add parking time without walking blocks from work in the heat or downpour of rain using the app. The only improvement I would like to see is 1- the ability to add 30 minutes. There are times I have to add and pay for a full hour when I only need 20 minutes. And the second thing that would be cool is ‘up to the minute’ updates on available parking spots. I would love to have ‘real’ time knowledge of what parking spots are available. Overall, it’s a great app. Thank you. 👍

I used this app to pay for parking and got a citation. Be careful to make sure the correct license plate is in the app. We parked my husbands car and I paid for parking and didn’t realize I had to update the plate number. They should place a warning on the confirmation page to alert you to the car you are driving. Now I’m out the money I paid for parking and my $45 citation. I tried to contest the citation and was told too bad, it was my fault I didn’t have the correct plate number. Too bad because I like this idea but it’s just not implemented correctly.
