Used to love this app, but now I’m absolutely disgusted.
by Basket Case 85 on 2019/05/19 04:15
This app used to be a no-frills, simple, lovely app to play solitaire. I originally paid for the update, which was a one-time purchase to remove the ads. I reinstall it on my iPad, only to find that if I want to remove the ads, I have to pay for a SUBSCRIPTION?! Continuously charging my credit card just to play solitaire? Are you kidding me? That is an appalling display of greed by the developers. Which is a shame because this was one of my favorite game apps. Not anymore. Subscription. For solitaire. Sheer greed and absolutely disgusting.
Subscription to remove ads
by Twilight23 on 2019/05/18 19:13
It looks like (haven’t bought it), they have another version without ads for $4.99 so why is this one $1.99/month instead of a one time $4.99? This reeks of trying for every cent of profit at users expense.
Beats the rest
by TR-Ada on 2019/05/18 16:17
This is the only solitaire game I’ve downloaded on iOS and it’s honestly fun. It’s design is simple and the design isnt as hectic as others like the ones on android or other solitaire apps on iOS. Im a simple person who loves simple functions and designs, but if you’d like the pretty ocean designed cards then have at it.

Tiny X’s
by Rosiedead60 on 2019/05/16 20:53
I am on level 141 so I must like the app. My complaint is the Ads hide the ‘X’ or so tiny hard to find. One Ad shows up on Zoom so no way to hit the X. Not mention which Ad. But makes me shut game down and reload it before I can continue playing. It be cool to have a quick set up ,other games have it, so not have to wait. Like when I win push a button and boom new game. Besides that it is my favorite game. Thanks guys!!

by The Original Bowl on 2019/05/16 13:22
The interface and graphics are great. Love the timing and moves counter. But... too much with the ads for other games. Stupid games! At least try to prequalify my interests. If I’ve chosen Solitaire, do you really think I’d be interested in bubble gum tower wall ?

Intrusive Ads
by dwamimok on 2019/05/14 11:58
Starbucks ad pops up in the middle of other ads, during gameplay and after another ad as run. The last time I couldn’t even close it out and had to force stop the game. Used to love this game but ever since the major changes it’s gone downhill for me. I’ve already deleted the game and don’t plan to download it again. Should have kept it simple.
Find another solitaire app.
by CrzyCountryGirl on 2019/05/14 06:45
I use to play this game all the time but the recent changes blow and now to top it off they finally released a daily challenge I can’t beat even hitting hint for every move. Grrrrrr Find an app that has only solitaire, no leveling up and apparently no daily challenges.
Very Slow
by peteidontcare on 2019/05/13 15:15
The game play is extremely slow and freezes periodically. I have updated to the latest version but still slooooooow. Playing on an iPhone 7 which is a bit outdated but no other games I have seem to have that problem. Don’t mind the adds in between games since it is free and has to be paid for somehow. However, I will look for another solitaire game that has better performance. Seems like the developers just do no care.
Love!

by Dhoovak on 2019/05/13 03:33
I sure like winding down with this game. I just enjoy winning as many as I can and I don’t stress over trying to beat any certain time or number of moves. But, when I have a good game result and it lets me know I have a new “best” it does feel good! So, just relax and enjoy!

by ZailawulF on 2019/05/12 14:21
Ever since you updated the platform and design my game does not work. I’ve reinstalled dozens of times and it continues to crash and freeze. Sadly going to look for a different app, been using this one for years but it’s time to move onto something that actually works and doesn’t stress me out. Big yikes.
Need to be more modern
by jpc-dbk on 2019/05/12 14:14
I have been playing this version for YEARS and you can earn points to reach levels AND you earn trophies. Why do we need two reward systems? And the levels are silly. I’m sure some people appreciate all the card themes. It ranks you against others using the Game Center but if you have to reinstall the app your history isn’t saved in the Game Center. At this point I only play the daily challenge out of habit. At least it isn’t full of annoying advertisements.

Level Names

Stupid
by remote z24 on 2019/05/09 16:26
I’ve been using/playing/enjoying this game for a number of years now. Unfortunately, I have just had to delete it due to how they have recently implemented their ads. I have been using the free version, which runs ads before each new game (no big deal, annoying, but that’s what you get with free). Now, the ad(s) launches during game play. Thanks for the entertainment, but this new advertisement implementation is stupid. Also, the level up feature is useless. It doesn’t add anything to the game, other than the player earning points for “winning”. If the player ‘wins’ the game in 30 second or in 5 minutes, the same amount of “level up” points are won. As the player increases his/her level, the difficulty level doesn’t go up. There’s no rhyme or reason for the level up feature.

I’m hoping this is a temporary glitch, because otherwise I love this app.

Ads interrupt games
by lkm805 on 2019/05/09 14:40
Really? Now ads pop up in the middle of games? I understand the ads before every game, but I draw the line at them interrupting the games. If this continues, I’ll delete this app and download a less annoying game. Developers, are you listening?
Was a great app until...
by Chris & Andrea on 2019/05/09 14:33
I really enjoyed this app. Play was good, it was challenging and graphics were great! You have to watch and advertisement before the deal, which is fine (devs have to make some money), but now a Starbucks ad starts randomly in the middle of the game! Frustrating! I guess greed got to the best of them. Like I said, it was a great app. Now the ad in the middle of the game kills it for me. Time to find another solitaire app. Sad.
Pop ups during gameplay - NO
by beenplayingthisgameawhile on 2019/05/09 14:07
An annoying auto play Starbucks add would pop up randomly during gameplay, prompting me to delete app. Stick to adds at beginning of new game please.
I know ads are necessary to make $, but in the middle of a game????

Constant ads moments after game starts
by Rick20k on 2019/05/09 12:58
Some recent change has introduced playing ads only seconds after a new game starts. It interrupts a card swipe and shoves a very intrusive ad in its place. Don’t count on beating your personal best time with this new mess.
karatemom2019
by karatemom2019 on 2019/05/09 12:23
If I could rate it with negative stars, I would. I have been playing this game for years and years as a quick way to kill time, but I just deleted it. I get that they need to make money, but the ads have become increasingly ridiculous. The last straw was getting the same, long coffee video pop up during a game and another ad immediately after. I had to reboot the game, only to have the same video pop up again and again. I don’t even go to that well-known coffee place! Plus foreign language ads that I can’t read; what an utter waste of time. To top it off, they added ridiculous time-wasting levels that I couldn’t opt out of, and the game started lagging. The combination of all of this makes it no longer enjoyable. I am not going to reward all of this by paying for any of their games. Greedy, greedy, greedy!
Starbucks ads
by Sgrynd on 2019/05/09 12:12
I don’t mind the ads between games but the Starbucks ad that pops up after you are in a game and is obnoxious. If these ads stick around I won’t.
Outrageous ads
by buedypion on 2019/05/09 12:03
To start a game, you most often are forced to watch a 30 second or longer advertisement and now while you’re playing the game you’re interrupted multiple times forced to view multiple advertisements. Way over the top, time to look for a new platform for this game. It’s not a game site, it’s a forced advertising site.
Ads in the middle of gameplay?!

by while 1: on 2019/05/03 16:32
The game itself is fun. I’ve played consistently for 5 years. It’s all the extra stuff that’s become annoying. Ads have gotten longer and you can’t just close them out. There’s a deliberate attempt to TRICK YOU into clicking on it. The x icon moves around, is hidden or in some cases isn’t there. Some ads have the x icon but no close function. Several times I’ve had to close the app and reopen to get back to the game. These gimmicks have gotten increasingly annoying over the years. We should have the ability to disable the celebration after winning a game. And now this ridiculous gamification. Levels for what? If it’s meant to entice me to play I assure you it’s not. It’s actually doing the opposite. With all this extra, it now takes nearly as much time getting to the next game as it does to play it. The next release will most like determine whether or not I keep the app.
Love!

I’ve been playing this version of solitaire for years now, and I’ve never left a review even though I talk about what I like and don’t like with the app to myself often. The two main suggestions I have for feedback are in regards to the daily challenge calendar and the level up system. 1) I try to play daily with the challenges to get a jeweled crown, and have tried to commit to a full month. I was disappointed when the incentive for getting the jeweled crown is nothing more than satisfying a need for completeness that I desire for everything to match. My thought here is that 10, 20 or a full month of jeweled crowns would result in a jeweled trophy. To distinguish from a normal trophy or daily challenges played after the day has passed. 2) I think the daily challenge should be worth more points than a normal game - again for more incentive to play them. I’ve reached the point where the I try to get the most bang for my buck. I won’t typically play more than 10 games a day to maximize my point return. The only other feedback I have is that at times, no ad shows up. The screen goes black and there isn’t an option to “x” out of that screen. You have to exit the app and open it back up to get the game screen.

Good, fun, love the customization, but BIG issues with energy
by Magicmysticmojo on 2019/04/29 00:31
I don’t know why, but this app drains my phone (iPhone 6S Plus) battery like no other. It also causes my phone to overheat (I know, I tested it- I don’t have exact numbers on hand as I’m writing this, but it drops drastically in at least 5 minutes and starts to heat up almost immediately on start-up). I’m not sure why it drains the battery so bad and overheats my phone while my iPad 3 plays the app without the slightest problem... it doesn’t seem like an issue due to there not being enough space or memory (both of my devices have at least 15 GB free); this might just be a problem with the latest version then, considering the previous ones (at least as far as my iPad 3 could update) worked excellently. The app itself works fine and is rather fun, especially with the daily challenges and such, but the energy drainage and overheating makes it an issue for me. I do love the ability to customize as well as the challenges, so I’ll give this a 3.5/5; sorry, it is really fun for me and I do love this app, but it’s a no-go as far as keeping it on my phone. I’ll still play the version I have on my iPad, but, yeah, the overheating and battery killer is too much.

Changes are terrible...but (update)
by LivLou37 on 2019/01/25 17:52
UPDATE! The new changes are frustrating. I deleted this app and went in search of another. Tried several. Nothing. Not a single one even came close to this app. The features and customizable settings set this app a part from all others by far. I’ll just have to live with the terrible changes. This new layout has been out for several months now. I wanted to give it a real shot before writing a review. I HATE it. Where to start? The new Daily Challenge calendar is hard to see the crowns with or without jewels. The stupid bar at the bottom showing progress to the next ugly trophy is just a waste of time and is just another thing between seeing my stats for that deal. The level ups is fine but again another thing between me and the stats. If I miss a day on the daily challenge, there is no easy way to get to it if I view my stats from the game I just played. If I view the stats, I have to go to menu then wait for the calendar to load and then I get an ad to finally play the next game. It’s TOO much. That was my favorite part of this app before the whole revamp, it was simple. I can play my game without all the other hype. I’m seriously considering deleting this app for one of the hundreds of other solitaire apps. I’m so disappointed. I play this game daily and usually multiple times a day, but not anymore. Don't get me wrong, it needed updates, but not a complete revamp with unnecessary features.
The game itself is excellent. But....

.....I have a question about a ONE TIME OFFER-only offered now....it stated that I could have six months ad free for ONLY $2.99...Great says I....hen after I tap ok, up comes another screen stating this $2.99 is good for only 7 days and after will be charged every month for.......WHA.....? WHAT??? Huh?? Did I read something wrong here.....I am agreeing to Six months ad free for $2.99....so I canceled....Guess I lost that “one time offer on this screen”...I sort of have the habit of reading the fine print, but I cannot believe you would play games like this with your customers. Now, I would like an explanation, so I can get six months of no ads, but one of two thing ps will happen here...#1. You will answer this post. #2 No one in the world will ever see this reviews cause I just embarrassed you...so? I love this game, but marketing is gonna get in trouble......It seems as if my Mom forgot to teach me that I could move cards from the aces pile back into the stacks! Opening a way to move cards to get a win. I am learning that now, but my thick head keeps forgetting that...the golden glow helps remind me while no making me feel entirely stupid....I now have and SPIDER. THESE GAMES ARE SO PLEASANT TO PLAY. I curl up in my chair, sip my iced tea and just play. My Nana would have loved this....( when I am sure of what I am experiencin, I will cheerfully change this post....)😀😀😀
Addicting Solitaire!!!
by Coin collecter on 2017/09/25 13:25
I love this app for Solitaire! I have tried other apps but this one is my favorite by far. The automatic movement of a card for placing it to the Aces and also the board by just tapping it is a great feature! Other apps that I've tried make you hold onto the card and manually move it to the place you want. Some other apps are hard to see on an iPhone because the cards are too small. I like that you can change the card faces and backs because you can choose one that's easier to see. Also, changing the background boards makes it more interesting. Right now I am using the autumn scene, it's a nice change for the season. It's awesome how you can use your own picture from your phone to customize the card backs! Being able to choose between random and winning deals is a nice feature also, and the choice to replay the same game is great to see if you can win the second time! When I get stuck and think I should be able to play a card, the "Hint" button is available to use. I like the option that you can choose how many cards you want to flip and also the sounds. Being able to see your progress and trying to get a better score makes it more challenging. I like that. I highly recommend this app for anyone who likes to play Solitaire!!!
Addictive!

I’ve been playing this version of Solitaire for several years. I play it at least once a day so I can stay current on the daily challenge. I’ve always loved solitaire and this version is great to play whenever you have only a few minutes wait time anywhere. I like the “show me how to win” feature should I get stuck since all games are supposed to be winnable, which I love. Why would anyone want to play an unwinnable game?? I like that there are different card back options for a little change now and then. One thing that can frustrate, however, is when the “show me how to win” shows that you must skip valid plays. How would you ever know that you need to skip a play in order to win?? But that doesn’t happen too often. The other thing that is a bit frustrating, but almost all games have this problem, is that the high scorers on each hand are from players who have computerized the play. No one can play a hand of solitaire in 30 seconds or less. But I don’t know if there’s much the game support folks can do about these smart aleks that computerize game play for fun. So this isn’t a game you can try to get the high score on! But that isn’t what I’m going for. I enjoy it and it does what I need!
Love the game but not liking the changes
by Dog girl 50 on 2018/09/30 18:04
First of all I really do love this game. I’ve been playing it for years. I would highly recommend it. So why only three stars. The stars are for this version only. I use this game as my personal time reward. When I’ve accomplished what needs to get done in the morning I reward myself by playing the daily challenge. But I don’t like the new changes to the sound. I used to love to hear the click of the cards and the trumpet awards at the end of the daily challenge. It was inspiring. Now in order to get those little rewards I have to also listen to the drawn out harp blasts. Sorry but I just find those annoying, not inspiring. I will continue to play this game but I will turn off the sound for most days. Only to turn it on and endure the harp sound on the 10th, 20th and 30th play days. I’m sure this seems silly to many that I’m making a big deal about the sound but again this game is my personal reward for a job well done. If an added feature is interfering in what was once a pleasurable experience I think it should be brought to the creators attention. On your next update please consider creating an extra toggle setting so that one may remove new added sounds whilst still allowing the old sounds be on during play. Thank you.
Big fan

Since the update...

IN RESPONSE TO DEVELOPER: No, I have never had any other version of this App. The exact same no matter which device I have had (every single version of the iPhone except 5s). I go to "Purchased," scroll down to the very bottom, and there is the App. Never once have I ever noticed ads. If there were ads, it was out of the way. NOW they are FULL SCREEN and cannot be skipped. The first time it happened (after the update on my new iPad Pro 12.9) there was a streaming issue (I guess) because there was nothing except a never ending circle. I had to hard shut off the iPad to close it. Regardless, because of this (and that this has never once happened since the iPhone 3G) I have deleted the App and will not reinstall until this is fixed. I was with you guys since the very beginning, so this has been very disappointing for me. This was one of the few Apps that I first downloaded that are still around and still works (at least it DID work). No more. Unbelievable. I’ve had this App since the beginning, since the iPhone 3G, and it has ALWAYS been my go too App for passing the time. No more. Every update has been great, with many good and new features that has made this App stand the test of time. Now, though, the moment I start a new game, FULL SCREEN ADDS! Such a disappointment. Years and years of loyalty down the drain. DELETED...
Very enjoyable 🙂

Just like regular solitaire but without all the shuffling. I play on my phone, and the cards are clearly visible. I like auto complete. What I like best is that I can play while waiting for an appointment, and turn off my phone when I go in, without losing my game or starting over. Makes periods of waiting bearable, without getting aggravated! Also, once in a while, you run across a spot in your game that might have two choices. If you don't win with your first choice, you have the option to replay the game. Sometimes I will play the same game 4-6 times before I win or run out of options. If you place your cards at a steady pace, it can also be fun to play at a faster pace to challenge yourself. I have several games on my phone, and this is the only one I ever play. The only negative is that some ads come on at a high volume which isn't good if your playing where people are waiting or asleep. I mute and quickly close those, which means even if I would have liked to see the ad, I would just pass it over.
Ads and Freezing
by Bellayankee28 on 2019/04/16 08:42
The ads constantly repeat themselves which is unbelievably annoying. Its always an ad for the same thing and then on top of that some ads are much too long, unstoppable, and dont close properly. the last issue bothers me the most because i have to close the whole game to get rid of the ad. the game also freezes during gameplay which isnt as bad but is still inconvenient and very annoying and makes the game not even worth it to play. UPDATE: I see you accepted a greater variety of ads but neglected to remove ones that are FAR too long and unskippable (the subway ad in particular). you have also made the advertising for your no ad version of this game more annoying and consistent. you have blasted ads and then keep shoving the “no ad” option in out faces, and thats pretty scummy. you seem to have only taken suggestions that lead to you getting more money, even if it makes game play less enjoyable for us. UPDATE PT2: I greatly appreciate the fact that you actually read my complaints and wrote me a response. It shows you care as much as I do, which is really cool.
Annoying changes
by Tafgip on 2019/04/01 23:19
This app would be addictive if the app developers didn’t keep doing things they think are enhancements that in fact dumb down each successive version of the game. If that’s not enough, the length of the intrusive ads before EACH game keeps getting longer - now up to 40 seconds per ad. While ten second ads are endurable, 30 to 40 seconds is enough time to water down my enthusiasm for this otherwise fun and challenging game. Sure, I can pay almost $2 per month to NOT see the ads, and if I didn’t resent how little interest they seem to have in the user’s enjoyment of the game, I wouldn’t mind paying it. But such is not the case. There are also fewer and fewer extras by which to measure one’s progress, which devalues one’s continuing enjoyment of the app. And there are way too many malfunctions they promise to address and either don’t, or the fixes they make only create more quirks to annoy the user. I’ve never written a review of an app before. Six months ago I would have raved about this app. Sadly, I feel I’ve been taken advantage of enough by the app developer to voice my incredible disappointment. We deserve better and it’s clear they are capable of delivering it. It’s too bad they won’t.
Still addictive but new version is a mixed bag
by ktinkaty on 2018/09/30 05:08
Overall I really like the new version of the app. Accessing the daily puzzle is a snap. If you miss a few days, catching up is also simpler. Once you complete the daily puzzle, it offers you the chance to play the next puzzle. Accepting this option will automatically open the last daily puzzle you missed, saving you time. Additionally, you can now see a visual representation of your progress towards the monthly trophies every time you complete a daily puzzle. The old version was better in one respect.....you could access your trophies on a calendar going back to the first month you played the app. Unfortunately, the new version no longer lets you see all of your trophies. Both the number of games I had played and the trophies earned were a source of pride. I have had this app since December 2015 and I have completed every daily puzzle since I downloaded it. Now I only have access to two months of data. I miss being able to see the trophies I have earned.
Unrealistic times
by 747whaledriver on 2018/10/06 18:31
Upon completion a game, your score is posted in comparison to the highest score attained in the game. Impressive numbers, but has anyone ever looked at those scores? 120 moves in less than 30 seconds? That means the player was making an average of 4 moves a second (in many games 3-5 moves a second). These numbers are very impressive and completely unrealistic. In fact, those scores are impossible. If you have a problem solving one game, the solution may be a minimum of 160+ moves, but when you finally get a score for that game, you’ll see the highest score has fewer moves — which tells this detective that the highest scores are not at all possible. The ads are distracting and intended to be difficult to ignore. Pay for no advertising? Payment only removes the ads temporarily, as I’ve found out with this company: each time the game was revised, I’ve had to pay to remove the ads (three times now). Why not charge for the game once rather than being forced to pay to remove the ads? The cards move like they are flowing through honey in winter upon reaching using auto complete. My scores in this app are the lowest of any game I’ve played online due to card speeds.
BAIT AND SWITCH
by hockettranger on 2019/03/23 15:43
Last year I paid for the ad free version ($5.) it was great. Lately it started to slow down and be annoyingly unresponsive at each game start. I deleted it and reloaded the app from the cloud and all was well. It began to do that again today. Deleted the app went to the App Store found my iCloud download and now I have a game that I have to pay daily or monthly or annually for ad free solitaire what the hell. What a ripoff. Update! Within minutes of sending this rating I heard back from mobilityware explaining what may be occurring and provided a link to reinstall my original app. It worked. A few minutes later I received an email from Brian at mobilityware. He provided the same link but added that the source of the hiccup was possibly in IOS. Go to apps then purchases, and reinstall original app. So, from a knee jerk one star review regarding tactics, to a five star rating. I prefer this solitaire app over others and appreciated the speedy attention to my concern
Wonderful game, but disappointed, too
by Arlington Boy on 2017/12/14 18:44
I’ve been addicted to this game (and app) for several years and play for relaxation every day. I’ve been pleased with the developer’s updates and improvements to the app over time. I must say, though, that the advertisements have become decidedly more onerous over time. Interestingly, and sadly, immediately following my previous (and my first) more-positive review, of a couple years ago, the ads seemed to get quite a bit worse. That’s probably just an unfortunate coincidence bit, of course, I have no way to know. For that reason, I have until now avoided submitting a newer review. (And I really hope the game experience doesn’t worsen the very next time I play.) I’d be happy to pay-for this version of the game app, actually, if I could dispense with the time-consuming and increasingly tricky and complicated ads, because the game itself is really quite well done. As soon as I complete this review, I’ll check to see if that option is available to me, then update my impressions.
Good - just expect a lot of ads
by PhilNewby on 2018/11/27 13:11
This Solitaire game has been around since my very first iPhone. MobilityWare has been in this realm a long time, so their apps are very very good. Gameplay is smooth and has many customizable settings and options. My only complaint (albeit a small one) is the way these ad-supported games work. They just blast you with ads. Game completion, game restart, new game, etc....all trigger ads. I understand the model they have to work from to generate revenue, but it seems like there could be fewer and still show the appropriate number of ads to generate income from users. The problem is with so many options to pick from, and Solitaire being a game that's identical from one developer to another, is that the next game that has less or no ads will be the one people move to. That said, hopefully MW can tone it down some and make the overall gameplay experience less interrupted and distracting ....it's an otherwise great execution to a fun game.
Terrible update
by GoMingo on 2019/03/11 07:37
Not thrilled with the latest update. I don’t care about ‘levels’ and the length of some ads is ridiculous and can’t be closed before it’s over. I understand the need for ads but I don’t want to watch a 25 second ad that doesn’t have an option to close. Seems I spend more time watching ads than playing the game. I’ve had this app for many years but will probably delete it. Update: developer has now added an option to play with no ads, but they’re charging you $15 YEARLY to play. What?!? I can understand paying once for the app to eliminate ads, but charging $15 YEARLY for a simple solitaire game is ridiculous!! The developer’s response is always “the ads should be easy to close out” but most of them aren’t. You close the ad after several seconds only to have another ad for the same thing pop up immediately after closing the first. Multiple video ads cannot be closed until it has fully played and drain the battery. Even when sound is muted on either iPad or iPhone, some video ads still play with audio on. Very annoying. Why so money grubbing, MobilityWare?
Latest changes are not appealing
by Meiabear on 2019/02/20 21:16
I've had this game for years, but there is something in the most recent changes that is hurting my eyes, especially when looking through the deck... Also, the changes make it look and feel like every other solitaire game out there. I've kept this one for so long because it wasn't like the others... UPDATE Thankfully the deck flip that hurt my eyes seems to be fixed (or I got used to it). However, the game now takes an obnoxiously long time to load. In the past I could open it and play a game or two within just a few minutes. Now it takes that much time just to open. And once it opens I then have to wait longer for the deck to fully load. And sometimes I think it loaded, but nothing happens when I tap the cards, so I wait even longer until that first card moves. That’s when I know I can play... Unfortunately the look and feel of this game is still so much better than others out there that I feel stuck with it.
When does it stop!!!
by LYNRICKI on 2018/12/19 09:18
I grew up watching my mom play solitaire. Of course she used real cards. Computers were not around then. I think she played to release stress. I'm guessing I play for the same reason. BUT THE ADS DRIVE ME NUTS!! Just as I'm starting a new game an ad appears!! Why oh why do I have to watch the same ad over and over again?? Many of the ads go on and on and can't be Xed out or skipped till they're all done. Up to 5-6 seconds of my time. What a waste. I’m not going to pay for the ads not to play. There’s no guarantee that the ads won’t sneak through. I’d rather pay to play the game then pay not to see the ads. My question is why am I seeing ads for things I would never buy especially over the internet. A car? I’m sure there’s someone out there that will look at the ad and say ..... oh I didn’t think about buying a car!!?? If I was in the market to buy a car I sure as heck wouldn’t do it via internet. Show me things I’m interested in. I’m shown ads from Kohl’s a site I go on. So I know this site knows what sites I go on. I get so frustrated that I lose interest in playing.
Ads DURING a game!
by fullbird06 on 2019/03/24 10:23
3/24: Thanks for the response, but that doesn’t tell me “what/which” bugs were fixed “to improve my gameplay experience.” All the items you listed were all included in previous “updates,” by the way, which (the coding) served to slow gameplay DOWN! I already knew some ads were shorter and dismissible, although the “X” to delete the ad is much smaller and needs to be hit “precisely” or it leads to frequent redirection to the ad anyway taking “away” from my gameplay experience. Plus, after the redirect to the ad, the game completely reboots...didn’t do that previously. Finally, the ad isn’t broken (it’s not the same ad which breaks into a game), the game is broken because it allows ads to be play DURING my gameplay experience. So, what did you fix? 3/19: Before I even think about updating to the new version, after the last disaster, I want to know EXACTLY what bugs were fixed “to improve my gameplay experience.” 3/15: Even you people have to think this is too much! And paying a subscription to remove ads? Please! Way to ruin a game.
So many people are telling you they hate the revamp
by Pawn Chic on 2019/03/16 13:09
When will you listen to your users & make adjustments to the revamp? I haven’t read all the complaints but I echo many of them. I can’t figure out why requests for change haven’t been met. For years this app has been my “go-to” to decompress, I play several times a day, everyday! The revamp has been so frustrating to me that I’m considering deleting the app altogether. The most maddening thing to me is that the characters move slowly, dragging down my time & they move at an absolute snail’s pace in the auto complete phase. Another problem is that when I am clicking along pretty fast, the characters don’t respond to my touch, even passing by something as obvious as an ace! This is not a flaw in my device. And I have serious doubts about the times of the top scores. After all the practice I’ve had all these years, I use both hands & can’t come CLOSE to the scores in the amount of time those top scores claim, certainly not since the revamp which slowed down response time, significantly! Please fix your fixes!
Ok but updates may have ruined it
by jojomike74 on 2019/02/17 16:02
I have used this app for years but the updates have made it nearly impossible to enjoy. For one thing my phone (XSMax running on latest iOS) gets sooo hot after just a couple of games and it chews up the battery . No other app does this. I can run Pokémon for hours and it never gets hot like this app. The new leveling up system is ok but pointless. I play to relax and do the daily challenge so telling me I’ve hit a new level serves no purpose as far as I can tell. I used to play before bed but my phone gets so hot I quit. I know we have to sit through ads but it would be great if I could choose to mute them all. I listen to audiobook when I play and nothing like having my book cut off to hear a lame ad or worse when I’m in a waiting room playing and the sound starts blaring. I’m willing to sit through ads but I should be able to mute them all without having to worry about some ads ignoring my preference.
Slimy ad insertion
by Applispandu on 2018/05/29 10:15
I'll touch in just 2 issues - ads and improvement. 1. Sure, like all apps, Mobility must make money by pushing ads and I know I have to pay to avoid ads. However, the problem I have is with how they push ads in a slimy and often times they push the same unattractive game ads again and again - even after I watch it and hit the cross/exit, it surfaces again. Surely, it's easy to know if a user is interested in it? Guess not. They're too lazy to do that, it seems. The could surface a different game ad or more attractive ones? But no, they don't. I used to watch the ads. Because I thought it's fair to them because I play for free. Now, I just sip my coffee or do something else while the crap is playing out. I've been playing for close to 10 years and have never ever bought something based on the ads. 2. I'd pay for the game but have not been happy with the development of Solitaire. Except for cosmetic changes, the core has remained the same in more than a decade!
WHY?
by Elliotskid on 2017/10/23 01:27
Addiction is putting it mildly when it comes to this game. It has been a source of escape and challenges that has melted time for me, a necessity when watching over two highly active ADHD boys. Recently, however, the app has been the source of more frustration than Congress. Why? Because the BLOODY thing CHEATS! I have the latest iPads and all updated to the current IOS so there is no conflict with respect to hardware or OS. So why are cards disappearing from the deck upon the closing rounds of the game? This is not fiction or imagined. I have not only counted the number of remaining cards at the turn, but have placed by sight the card required to win the round only to have that card not show again. I haven’t seen card manipulation like this since I rewrote the Atari Basic Blackjack. By the way, nicely coded that placement of the last ace!
Solitare is a very enjoyable game to play, BUT!
by Pesty_Varmit on 2018/03/12 15:35
I deleted this app because their is just tooo many advertisements for me. Someone who doesn't mind all the advertisements will really like this app. AND I noticed all the apps that had excessive advertisements on my iPad were Mobilityware apps so I went through all my games and deleted all motilityware apps. I get enough advertisements on TV,radio, internet, mail and e-mails don't need them while trying to play a game. It's really too bad I had to do this because mobilityware has some very good games, very enjoyable aside from the adds. In response to developers reply: I don't mind adds if they are at beginning OR end of the game, I can't deal with adds in the middle of play. Right in the middle where it interrupts my play, not good! I understand the need to make money but why get your apps if I can't play them without interruption. If I paid for an app and this happened I would want all my money returned and the app would be deleted. Your apps remain deleted.
Disappointing ad malfunctions
by Qudelkedel on 2017/11/29 16:14
I have no problem with the developers putting out a free game and then making money on ads. However, I do have a problem when the quality of an app is sacrificed to jam-pack more ads into the app. This is the case with this solitaire app. There is an ad before every new game, which is completely fine, but the problem comes when the ads malfunction. Many of the ads’ close buttons are completely unresponsive. Since they are full-screen ads, this means the app gets stuck and I have to completely kill and re-open the app. I was recently trying to re-play the same game when this happened, meaning that deal was completely lost. If you’re going to have ads, at least make them close-able. I don’t care if there’s a timer. I don’t care if there’s an ad before every game. Just make the close button WORK. I will update my review to four stars if and when this issue is fixed, since it really is a good game. This is disappointing.
Does the job!

Everyone knows that those of us who play solitaire play to pass time, assist in keeping our minds sharp and most importantly the thrill of shifting through card numbers.... this version of solitaire does all that plus rewards every 10 completed games with a trophy! In addition to the fact that they keep a great record of your playing time. I can see where I've increased my speed over the years. They also have levels of play. While I'm not crazy about the scoring system for this version....I'm not sure just HOW they've come up with this system of scoring.... I do like the other thoughtful ways that they've come up with to add to this age old card game to make it more interesting to play. I've had other versions of solitaire on my phone, I've always liked this one version best......
Best Solitaire for iPad Air!!
by JF&KDF on 2017/07/28 15:46
I've been using this solitaire game for years now & it's great! I like card sites where I can either set my own background & cards, like this one, or just use the plain, which I like too! Most games have automatic Ace piles build for you; I like having the choice, which you do with this game. It's all in The Settings! So if you like the simplicity of playing a good challenging game of Solitaire, this is your game. Best of all it's free; the only thing I don't like or appreciate ( and it's not only on this Site ) is to pay for Ad removal, which I don't do anyway but the Ads do get frustrating, especially before EACH game-some super short, some too long. But overall, I love this game of Solitaire!! And it's never gone crashing or crazy on me.........as of yet!!
Get rid of ridiculous long ads
by frustrated1986 on 2019/04/16 05:59
Been playing this game for years don’t mind latest update, little buggy but getting better. Issue I have is 30 second ads for cars I would never consider buying and less so now. I understand ad revenue funds development but 30 second ads are ridiculous!! I can typically tell a winning hand in less than 30 seconds and the multiple non-winning hands in between makes waiting for a new game unbearable. All seems like a scam to get your loyal users to pay the exorbitant price for no ads. Think it is time I kick mobilityware apps to the curb and look elsewhere. Tired of the covert blackmail to pay extra for a game many of us have enjoyed for years. You want to bombard us with intrusive long ads to increase your bottom line, see how it works out when a large population of your users migrate elsewhere, less users equals less revenue. And Acura I would never purchase one of your cars due to your ads interfering with my relaxation time, big fail!
Decent
by monchimanson on 2019/01/20 05:16
I love this app for the most part. I don’t like that the random deals are still counted towards your win statistics considering that some of them can’t be won. The ads are annoying because some of them come pre-muted and don’t pause my music and then some of them aren’t muted and interrupt my music or still play sound while my phone is on silent/vibrate or with the ringer otherwise off. And some of the apps are just annoying. My grandmother plays this app and it’s sometimes hard for her to see the X to close out of an ad or when she tries to it’s sometimes too small and ends up redirecting her to the App Store or a website and being an 80 year old woman she doesn’t want to nor know how to deal with that. We both have had the issue of tapping the X repeatedly and the ad still being there.
Honestly just crap at this point
by Jaquenn on 2018/09/02 06:33
I open the app. I start a game, but first I have to watch the usual pre-game ad. The “skip” button appears. I press the skip button. I am transported by the skip button to the App Store. I navigate back to the game. There is now an “x” button for the ad beneath the first ad. I press the x button. The game crashes. I am forced to reboot. And watch another add. One of the ads is a Dunkin Donuts ad which does not fill the whole screen. Therefore the “x” button is not reachable and you have to close the app. And then watch a whole new ad, despite the fact that I can see a game loading behind the DD ad. Many of the ads have an ad beneath them so I have to X out of that one which crashes the game half the time. Rinse and repeat. I know that none of the developers for this app will honestly care, but at least the “ad” experience for other free games is somewhat manageable. Your ad system is a complete virus. Please at least make it so they are reasonably skippable and don’t crash the game.
Great Fun People -Enjoy!

I have been Playing Mobility Ware Solitaire and 2 other games for several years and highly recommend them. The only complaint I have is that this Solitaire got “stuck” or frozen on my smart phone (not the other Mobility Ware games” & the only way I could get past the screen, was to go to the general screen & delete this app. Then I find the same app & download it back on my cell phone. My issue is (not that this is not a complaint but rather s request to the developers is that when we sign in again under the exact same name, that the 2 years of games I had completed be recognized & reloaded into this same account. Enjoy people one of the limited time watched & # completed games there is to be had (being played) for an game which I will always love & enjoy,

by Explanoite on 2018/01/08 05:19
Good game. Any problems I have are nitpicks or pet peeves (like monthly reminders I can change the background or card decorations: I got it the first 8 times, quit telling me). Nothing I'd take a star off for. One possible exception is the ads. Having to see an ad each time I start a game is fine. My problem is the trend towards “resistant” ads: ads where you have to wait and click close twice. A game demo loads up, making me wait the time of a normal ad just to see it start. Then I have to wait for the demo to play itself a bit. Then the X appears - but haha, just kidding, because this doesn’t close the ad, it just loads the next part of the same ad. When an ad knows I want to close it and goes “no wait, let me show you more about it” I will avoid clicking on it out of sheer spite at that point.
Good brain testing game
by Harshad patel, CT on 2018/11/05 04:36
Very interactive game for testing coordination between hand reflexes and application of brain. Game tests user's skill and intelligence. With practice efficiency, speed and accuracy increases. Considering human tendency, users should be cautious to become addictive. I have seen many of coworkers solving solitaire during lunch period. If played rationally, this is an excellent game. No doubt that this is very popular and evergreen game used by very large mass. After playing only one daily challenge game per day since last 15 years I rate this as my most favorite game. This game is very good for fast ‘Brain and Hand’ coordination. With practice, game completion time can reduce. People should try to finish this game in less than 2 minutes and should target to achieve minimum score of 4000.
FABULOUS
by IGTKAA on 2019/04/07 20:33
I ABSOLUTELY love playing Solitaire!! I survived a hemmoratic stroke four years ago and the game keeps my mind working. I’m apparently a miracle and shouldn’t have survived! Everyday that I’m granted a new day and I can open my eyes, I’m BEYOND excited!! My stroke was caused by undetected high blood pressure. I’ve changed my diet and I walk EVERY day!!! I used to be 230 pounds and a size 20. Now, I’m a size 6 and feel FANTASTIC!!!! My husband has been MY BIGGEST FAN!!!! I attend a TBI Day Program and was awarded “Survivor of the Year” in 2017 and my husband was awarded “Caregiver of the Year.” Everyday I wake up, I’m BEYOND stoked to jump into the day!! I was in a wheelchair, then a walker, and now I ambulate independently!! I know this is way too much to say about this game but I’ve been to hell and back and your game rocks! Thank you so much!!!!
Why the changes
by Axionphi on 2018/09/24 18:15
Update to iOS 12? Solitaire updates with it. Idk why the interface changes. I have played this game for a few years probably 20 times a day and it was the best. It probably still is the best but to change the where the menu is and remove a running card count is dumb. Now you cannot see your total moves as you play. Why not? Plus now the menu at the bottom is farther from your thumb in landscape mode causing more repetitive stress on the hand? Lastly when you complete the game the cards auto complete at about 1/3 the old speed so you have to wait much longer to start a new game. Why do app makers make changes just for the sale of change? Words with friends made their game not worth play by making stupid so called improvements that ruined the game. Usability is important to Mobil apps especially repetitive motion games.
Best solitaire game I have found
by swjw21299 on 2018/02/07 22:33
I have played this maybe 500x's (which I acknowledge isn't a lot). I have tried others and they don't compare. The ability to tap on a card for movement(as opposed to dragging and dropping) is great. You have the daily challenges which is really fun. I did have a glitch yesterday when I tried to move cards to a free space and I couldn't, but oh well, I worked around it and still won the game. The ability to change backgrounds, card backs, etc. is fun to change it up. Only comment, get rid of the advertisements between games. Overall very good game, the go to game for me. Sorry, one last thing. The top scores, and fastest times... that has to be a computer achieving those... right? Thanks for bringing a great old fashion game to our devices!
Level Up?
by GHnewbie on 2019/02/17 09:42
Are you kidding? What is the meaning? Where does it end up? Who cares? I’ve played this game for years and have really appreciated the relaxation it provides. Yes, I am addicted, but I certainly don’t need or want incredibly silly names for myself with meaningless levels. I am so sorry I upgraded; this version may break my habit. Additionally I’d like to comment on some mechanics. The app now takes a really long time to load. Some of the scores are laughable. 45k points in 27 seconds! I do not remember seeing scores like this in prior versions. The developers response to other reviews on this matter is questionable. No fantastically skilled player has fingers that can do that, especially when you consider that the card movement is often very stilted like the cards are being dragged through molasses. It seems obvious that people are playing with software to beat the system. Thanks for reading this.
Best Solitaire! My first game on my Apple Products!
by aleckalewis on 2018/01/07 18:32
MobilityWare Solitaire was my first game app I installed on my first iPod Touch in 2007 and then on my second iPhone (iPhone 3G) that I received in 2008 as a gift. It then continued on every generation of every app-running Apple product that Apple has made. It was the only app and game that I always kept installed on all of my devices (besides the preinstalled/undeletable apps they came with). It has always been one of my favourite apps I have ever used, and it helps pass the time and keep me occupied. I will always recommend it to anyone who likes phone games. It may not be as popular among my friends as most of the other iPhone games, but I think it’s a fantastic! Thanks MobilityWare! You rock!
Absolutely love!
by angelcake777 on 2019/04/20 08:22
There are so many different solitaire games, all with the same concept so why choose a specific one? I absolutely love MobilityWare’s! Very good customizable selection without being “prime” and the adds last about 3 seconds instead of having to wait a minute just to play another round,I’ve been playing this game whenever I have or feel an anxiety attack coming, this game has helped me calm myself and keep my mind occupied through tough times/situations,the short add period takes a toll on that as well so I can continue to play without being annoyed by endless adds that a lot of these games have. I’m not one to leave reviews but had to share my experience. Well done! Thank you!
Great game!!
by improving mario on 2017/10/02 02:25
I have played thousands of games and never get bored. There are some hands that are not winnable but that's the way the game is. The Daily Challenge hands are always winnable. If you can't get to win one of those you can ask the app to show you a winning approach. The app keeps great statistics, never freezes, gives you the opportunity of redoing a game, which is a learning tool. It gives helpful hints if you ask. There are ads popping up before each game which usually you can get rid of in less than 8 seconds. And the ads often enough are about a product you want. There is nothing annoying about this app for classic solitary. I can't think of anything I would change.
Statistics disappears
by idsc2001 on 2019/02/24 16:38
I have played Solitaire for years and have for the most part enjoyed this game. The occasional updates have been somewhat unappreciated but we all must adapt. One terrible issue came up when I recently upgraded my phone to an i10R, was after 4 years of accumulating history of play of over 38,000 games, my history is GONE! Every attempt was made to do all back up before the upgrade at the new service provider and my history is gone!! I and the store personnel tried everything to no avail... very disappointed! I was advised that Mobility-ware just does that. Extremely disappointing that there is not a way to recover the statistics that us addicted players have worked so hard at!
Ads are obnoxious
by 5teve5 on 2018/04/01 15:52
I understand ads pay for the game - but with this game there is an ad for every hand - even a replay of the same ad. That is not bad enough, but with most ads after you reject one ad a second pops up - this generally happens with games. Generally the non gaming ads are not to bad -one quick screen - then on to play. In response to the developer: The 5 second limit for ads is great - but some ads seem to beat your limit. An ad - typically for a game appears -as it approaches 5 seconds the little “x” appears allowing you to exit the ad - but a second ad appears which also has a delay before you can exit. And that second “x” appears somewhere else on the screen from the first one. These are the ads that I call obnoxious. I have no complaint about the ads that are truly 5 seconds and only require me to exit them with one action.
Ads...
by Crane watcher on 2019/02/25 05:54
I just received what I will term a totally inappropriate ad .. I have been getting more and more of these in my emails.... have been told it was because of online purchases. Well, now I’m thinking that the builders of the games I play have been selling my email address. Anyone else with this problem?? And this review better be posted...resending... not sure if ever went thru... adding on....Just received offer for paying for no ads. Way to much for me. I paid 2.99 for one game and it was forever.. not a recurring charge!!! Go back to the game and what do I get? A Walmart ad that will NOT GO AWAY!!! Had do delete the screen 2xs to get it to go away!! Payback for not buying out of ads??? I m just wondering.. very strange!
Game Great until update
by Cpdude on 2019/01/12 12:03
I’ve enjoyed playing this game for many years. I realized it had to be updated but they are a few things I don’t like. The pictures of the trophies look weird. One month they looked like a phallic symbol. Why not use the standard trophy symbol? Also not finding this level up thing to be enjoyable. Level up for what reason. How many levels are there? What is the point. I’ll continue to play the daily challenge, but I’ve stopped planning additional games for fun with this arbitrary level up gimmick. Also I agree with another reviewer. The game needs to be monitored and ridiculous times to complete a game removed. Why someone would feel the need to cheat with a computer to play a game says a lot about the person doing it.
Awesome but could be better
by Chittick9009 on 2017/11/05 19:03
I enjoy the sound effects, the customizable cards and backgrounds, and the fact that there are no banner ads just ads between games which is something other solitaire games have which is severely annoying and messes with concentration. Y’all easily earn 5 stars with me however I do have a recommendation that you add background music because I find that playing solitaire is a great way to wind down after a long day at work also a great way to kill time but with the added music it would also help the relaxation process and concentration. Just a suggestion a thought if you will, if not it’s cool I could always play music from Apple.
Why do "new games" keep repeating themselves?
by SOGOTR on 2018/09/08 01:25
I wanted to write a new review but apparently have to edit what I wrote a long time ago (so I deleted that review and am doing another one) and I'm just going to say what I wanted to say now: I'm finding this game very frustrating lately. It's been my go to game for a long time and all of a sudden when I click on "new game" I keep getting the same game over and over. Maybe I played it so long that I've run out of new games on this app. I do love the daily challenge and look forward to completing it every day but once I completed that and try to play a new game, I get games I've already played and they are recent, sometimes over and over. Why?
M M Guy
by MM Guy 42 on 2018/07/03 22:07
This is a fine game, better than most others. I would have given it 5 stars except for the aggravating ads. I don’t mind ads and I click on my fair share. That being said, other apps don’t show and ad after every game as this app does. Also I just played 5 consecutive games and watched the same add after every one. At the very least there should be some sort of variety. Update: I received a response from the developer telling me why they have ads etc. I still don’t mind ads and I still click on the ones that interest me. This has never been a problem. The response said if I was seeing the same ad over and over it was a fluke. They are random. I continued to see the same ad or 2 or 3 ads after every game. Nothing has changed except I deleted the app.
Played 10,000 games.
by The#1Winner on 2017/12/27 22:48
Just got a congratulations pop-up screen on this game, saying I played 10,000 games. I play the Vegas rules game and keep track of my winning's, which add's a new dimension to this game. Rating one(the lowest) through ten (the highest), It absolutely is a *10* My go-to game whenever I have any free time. It challenges you mentally. Best game I've found and only game on my I-Pad & phone that I play. P.S. The daily challenge is highly addictive. I have thought there is no way to win the game, only to discover after a few try's, you'll figure it out. It gives you a sense of satisfaction to win. December 27th, 2017. Everything I stated above is still true to this day. Only game I have and play.

Level Names
by N2MNTWINS on 2019/05/09 17:34
I don’t care for the “Royal Retiree” level name. It implies that I am some old person sitting around with nothing else to do. The other level names were pretty cheesy but this one should be changed.

Stupid
by remote z24 on 2019/05/09 16:26
I’ve been using/playing/enjoying this game for a number of years now.

I love this app and have been playing for years. I’ve tried other ones and have always come back to this one! I don’t even try others anymore.😊 I don’t mind the ads between games, but lately ads are popping up in the middle of the game! THAT is annoying.

Addictive!
by Dmh1955 on 2018/03/03 00:42
I’ve been playing this version of Solitaire for several years.
Thank you.

DELETED...

Does the job!
by Cea Music on 2017/09/30 09:57
Everyone knows that those of us who play solitaire play to pass time, assist in keeping our minds sharp and most importantly the thrill of shifting through card numbers.... this version of solitaire does all that plus rewards every 10 completed games with a trophy!
Great Fun People -Enjoy!
by Carrie77409 on 2017/12/04 05:02
I have been Playing Mobility Ware Solitaire and 2 other games for several years and highly recommend them. Enjoy people one of the limited time watched & # completed games there is to be had (being played) for an game which I will always love & enjoy,
Solitaire
by Explanoite on 2018/01/08 05:19

I enjoy the sound effects, the customizable cards and backgrounds, and the fact that there are no banner ads just ads between games which is something other solitaire games have which is severely annoying and messes with concentration. Y’all easily earn 5 stars with me however I do have a recommendation that you add background music because I find that playing solitaire is a great way to wind down after a long day at work also a great way to kill time but with the added music it would also help the relaxation process and concentration. Just a suggestion a thought if you will, if not it’s cool I could always play music from Apple.
Why do "new games" keep repeating themselves?

I wanted to write a new review but apparently have to edit what I wrote a long time ago (so I deleted that review and am doing another one) and I'm just going to say what I wanted to say now: I'm finding this game very frustrating lately. It's been my go to game for a long time and all of a sudden when I click on "new game" I keep getting the same game over and over. Maybe I played it so long that I've run out of new games on this app. I do love the daily challenge and look forward to completing it every day but once I completed that and try to play a new game, I get games I've already played and they are recent, sometimes over and over. Why?
