Waste of money
by Moe bk ny on 2019/04/25 03:25
Honestly this app it’s a waste of money all you get is automatic view wars and they ask you to pay for everything to boost your profile what a scam
Useless if you’re not willing to pay
by Adrean111 on 2019/04/25 02:34
If you aren’t paying for a subscription, you won’t be able to do anything on the app. Sure, you can “like” someone and they may “like” you back, but you can’t message each other unless you pay.
Hello love out there

I am a single female,Well was married once many years ago but free now. Looking for my other half. I’m woman of many talents, good mannerisms, professional, respectful, honest hard worker, ambitious, adventurous, generous, energetic, sophisticated I like to dress up, but comfortable dress down also. Like traveling, hiking bawling dancing.Im romantic compassionate with heart full of love to share with right partner. So if you out there come get me.
Fraud, fake messages, dishonesty.
by TriggerTX77 on 2019/04/23 07:27
I’ve read their guidelines, they don’t follow them themselves. Zoosk that is. Fake messages, manipulated and unconsented use of other accounts and photos to try and lure you into paying for their service just so you can read all these received emails from users that, didn’t actually send you any email. I’ve mentioned these facts in my profile and it’s gets declined during review every time. Zoosk states that the info you publish must be factual, and indeed it is. Yet, they decline to allow the truth to be told.

Poor app features and value for your money
Deeply troubled
by danno3432 on 2019/04/22 21:20
I’ve been a zoosk member 3 months. I’ve had so many females saying they are interested in me but when I accepted to meet them I got a message saying this cannot be performed at this time. Finally, I sent email after email to zoosk support and never got any return answers to my issues. Farewell to zoosk. I gave them my money and my patience and they took advantage of me. Wonder how many others are being duped ?
Zoosk will send you fake messages
by Lazypup69 on 2019/04/22 14:13
Zoosk is a huge scam and ripoff. You will get “messages”’from people who did not make the profile. I saw a friends profile so I liked her profile and then Zoosk says I recieved a message but I had to pay to read it. Instead I just DM’d my friend and low and behold it was not even her. I got 8 other mystery messages that were all sent at the same time of 4Am. I checked into 5 of the 8 and they were all fake as well. Avoid this app at all costs!!
Complete scam
by Jim98987d on 2019/04/22 12:38
This site is a complete scam. The vast majority of profiles are not now and have never been paying members and can’t be contacted. Expect to send fifty messages to get a single response,if your lucky.
Poor Data Security and Customer Service
by YnotBoondock on 2019/04/21 14:56
My account was recently hacked and the scammer was contacting a ton of people through my Zoosk account telling them to contact an email address. Zoosk detected the issue and disabled my account. The only problem is, they won't reinstate it and they will not refund any money claiming that "many financial institutions have a 60 day window for refunds". First, the excuse is BS as you can choose whether or not to refund money. Second, it wasn't even my fault that led to my account being disabled, and 3rd, I had active conversations and was planning dates that Zoosk just ruined.
Don’t bother
by CatJoanne on 2019/04/20 23:19
You can’t talk to anyone without paying a large sum of money - no free trial.
Pay to talk
by jimsiphone1011 on 2019/04/20 20:38
The site is a money pit. You can’t talk to people unless you pay a subscription fee. So anyone that dose not pay up won’t be able to see your message or if you don’t pay then you can’t see their messages.Basically making this a pointless money pit.
Horrible Service
by Dissaponited33 on 2019/04/20 18:26
Horrible App features, service, unable to deactivate. It’s like an app from the dinosaur era if there’s is such thing.
Worst app ever
by dont get played on 2019/04/20 05:32
Once you pay you realize that you pay just to realize that you have to pay more for it to actually work in your favor. They say you can message people but when you send a message it says I order for them to read the message you have to pay more for them to read it. Overall a waste of money and time, they send you messages that are encrypted and say once you become a member you can read the messages but once you become a member, those profiles are non existent , it’s actually better to go to a bar and pick up a date don’t waste your money or time on this .
Don’t bother
by Mochi Margarita on 2019/04/19 19:46
Unless you want to pay to even message somebody don’t bother with this app. I deactivated my account and deleted it from my phone immediately.
Money trap
by ksnddisnehsk on 2019/04/19 16:48
I don’t ever write reviews but this time I will. The only way to send or see messages is to pay (30$ for 1 month) so all you’re doing is looking at pictures of people. This app is garbage and would not recommend to anyone, you start getting messages and can’t even see them, for all you know it’s fake profiles sending messages to get you to pay.
Nothing is free

Renewal
by ashleymp1229 on 2019/04/15 18:28
I have tried to cancel my renewal of Zoosk multiple times and have been unsuccessful. They have made cancellation near impossible and of course have renewed me another 6 months for $75. I would never recommend this to a friend because of this!
Lies

Why are you claiming that your site is free? This is false advertisement.
Not for bisexuals
by KBCS on 2019/04/14 01:39
Got to step one and deleted the app because there is no option to be attracted to more than one sex, never mind gender options.

App’s advertising every 10 seconds
by Tamila Khayrullaeva on 2019/04/13 01:08
I didn’t yet get a taste of the success rate of getting hooked with a girl, and already annoyed with the apps functionality which advertises every 10 seconds.. uninstalled. Later found out that all the zoosk wants is money but won’t help find a better half to an end user. Don’t trust positive reviews... it’s possible to generate multiple accounts and post 5 star reviews for marketing purposes, I’ve personally seen it in action!
It’s ok, but...
by CarlosNJ74 on 2019/04/12 12:49
Zoosk is decent, but it needs needs a lot of work. The big thing: paying extra for what should be included in the service. Paying to see if your message was read is a turn off. Second: the map system stinks. I’ll get a profile of a woman who is supposedly 10 miles away, when in reality she’s 30 miles. And if she’s 20 miles away, a real map will say 50-60 miles—which is absurd. Third: the awful carousel. What’s the point of filing our profiles if the carousel matches you with exactly what one is not looking for?
Fraudulent
by MrS1000 on 2019/04/11 13:01
Zoosk engages in fraudulent methods to manipulate you to pay for its services. After using Zoosk for a period of time I received a notification that I had unread messages from people who were interested in me. Curious to see what potential matches I had missed out on, I agreed to the 3 month membership fee - only to see that Zoosk had LIED about the new messages. The app used a notification on OLD messages that I had already received. Last I checked fraud is illegal - Zoosk engages in illegal actions to swindle you out of your money. As for the features - garbage at best. No means of filtering the online search by age or distance. No means of filtering searches in any useful way for that matter.
Fraud! Warning
by JudyK45 on 2019/04/11 03:30
Zoosk is a fake! Users have no way to modify or refine the filters, the yes or no choices have no effect, there’s no way to limit geographic distance, age, education, etc etc. They keep saying they use your choices to make smarter decisions but obviously they don’t. Then it seems to be impossible, using the incredibly complicated instructions on their site and their video, to cancel. If you manage to do that, the cancellation occurs at the end of your prison sentence. Aaaaaaaaah!!
Do not use
by Flair6660 on 2019/04/11 02:10
Was on it for about a month, started getting some messages from people I found attractive that I could not see because I wasn’t paying for an account, so I spent the money to interact. Zero luck because the app is incredibly inconvenient and repetitive (shows you people that you have straight up said no to as your matches over and over again). About a month in of my subscription, I notice I have an unusual amount of messages, go in to look and my account was hacked. And not like my password was changed, hacked as in someone went in and messaged about 30 people, said very weird things, and gave a number to text after saying hi. I called CS, they told me “yes we see your account has been compromised” and just said they’d block it for a little while. After not getting any money back, the last thing I wanted to do was continue with an account that many people now thought I was a complete weirdo. Worst customer service and complete waste of money!

This is my second time I'm dealing with this website, I'm really disappointed and I'm not going back, I'm going to cancel my membership and I will never return, I'm paying $$$ for nothing, and they want to charge more for stupid coins 👎👎👎
Total Scam Artists!!!
by youknowyouarescammers on 2019/04/07 00:53
Zoosk allows you to sign up for free, but doesn’t give you an opportunity to communicate with anyone without paying upfront. I investigated this site and learned the “interested people (not even members that you could talk to) were random automated replies from Zoosk, not even real people. They claim to match you with potential mates which is ridiculous!!! Joining for free requires a few questions, yet Zoosk claimed to have matches for me. I did’t even give a profile and only one photo. So I guess being a living human being, and female, conjured up all these spectacular matches for me, and I just had to join ($$$$$$$$) to get the specifics of my love matches! Outrageous!!! Total scammers!
Subscribe to see messages
by Barbieriboys on 2019/04/05 07:46
Is this app deadass?? Even tinder lets you see messages. Not as user friendly as other dating apps.
Needs work tbh
by RandoPersonofDC on 2019/04/03 17:36
Well I’ve been on here for a while now and I can tell that this app needs some updates. Like for example when I get suggestions it’s usually for people way to far away from me. Definitely felt like I got scammed into getting the subscription too, I got a few messages and I got excited then I noticed the messages were real robotic, After that nothing. I gonna finish out the month then cancel tbh. Wouldn’t really recommend unless it gets better
Scam

Blocked for no reason
by screwedover13 on 2019/04/03 00:53
After my first three months the site charged me to renew for another three months. Which was fine, but about a week after I chose not to automatically renew after the second three months. A few days after I selected not to renew, my account was blocked by an administrator. No warning, no explanation, nothing. I was never rude, crude, or otherwise to any members. I’ve sent emails asking for an explanation or a refund for the services I am being denied of. I have yet to receive a response.
There’re better ones out there
by Pecks86 on 2019/04/02 15:15
You get a free week trial when you sign up. I canceled to subscription right away because I didn’t want to forget incase I didn’t like the app. Well I don’t really, anyway. It’s just not as fluid as other apps that are about as shallow as this one tends to be. Which would be fine if it did focus on asking you detailed questions about yourself and what you’re looking for, to find you better matches, but it doesn’t do that either. It’s like the worst of both worlds. Oh, and they canceled my free trial after I canceled my subscription. That felt spiteful. Lol.
Do not recommend
by DCKID357 on 2019/04/01 07:15
So first of all you can do anything unless you subscribe and pay. Then when you do you want to delete your account it’s a huge hassle to cancel the subscription and they still charge you if you pause the account. Which is kind of a scummy thing to do. Finally the interface just isn’t very good, and well the people are that are nice enough I don’t think the app and company give you much better results than if you just talk to people in person for free.
Total scam
by irina2606 on 2019/04/01 03:35
Many scam profiles - seems like the app pays people to keep you on-line:-( Not real people Bad, bad dating app!!!!! Not recommended!!!!
I would rather be incarcerated
by AnynomousEli on 2019/03/30 14:54
Have you ever been ticketed by police? Have you ever been fined $600 for a crime you didn’t commit? Well that’s how it feels to accidentally subscribe to Zoosk, but after receiving a fine from a policeman at least you have an interesting story to tell your friends at parties, not with Zoosk. After you find out that an app you deleted more than a year ago is charging you $30 every 30 days for services you haven’t even used you will NOT have a fun story to tell your friends at parties. Don’t even use the free trial of this app. I would have rather been arrested.
Misleading
by DimesFan on 2019/03/29 21:27
The app is free to view, but cannot reply to any messages unless you pay to subscribe... shouldn’t have to pay to talk to someone...
Connections on looks alone
by Endspace on 2019/03/28 23:14
For a site that claims to promote serious relationships, this site and app are seriously lacking. First off, all of the matching you do is based on wether you like someone’s looks. Then it blocks their profile unless you pay. Second it constantly matches you with people 100-180 miles away. The app is also hard to understand if you aren’t used to this type of thing. Lastly your criteria for a match is abysmal. You can’t even separate based on drinking habits (very important to me). Maybe folks who pay get something out of this- I doubt it, but I don’t know- but my suggestion is find another option. Big waste of time.
Terrible service!
by Deceptive website on 2019/03/28 11:24

Major Flaw, Up sells and one sided communication
by splurt on 2019/03/27 14:46
So you pay the $39.99 and you get a month on the app, but quickly realize you are being up-sold everywhere you turn! First trick they pull on you is that basically you can write anyone but unless they are subscribed they cannot write you back, but you do not know this!! This is a major flaw, because you may write someone a fantastic message but they cannot even read or respond, but you don’t even know who is and who isn’t. Up sells everywhere you turn, want a boost it’s “180 coins” and you can buy three hundred coins at a time so you get stuck with 120 coins. Is that nasty or what? This is a mean company and a mean app that wants to only drain you of both hope and cash. Shame on Apple for allowing this.
Prepare to pay a lot.
by Nsnc93 on 2019/03/26 12:49
Way overpriced for what you get. I subscribed for a month and I still felt like I had to pay for every little thing. Very few matches were in my area and the rest who were interested were miles and miles away. (A lot of scammers! More than I’ve ever experienced on a dating app ever) I only had one date via Zoosk. Pass on it for now, this app just seems like a rip off in my opinion.

by TNcountryGrl on 2019/03/24 20:23
I like the concept of this app, super easy to use but you have to have a membership to see anything people send you . Nope I won’t do it . Just make the app 2.99 and call it a day where people don’t have to spend hard earned money to see what a potential partner says ! NO!

Worst Dating App
by Savantx on 2019/03/23 19:26
This has to be one of the worst dating apps. You get a selection of “smart picks” that are all 30-60 miles away. How is that smart? When I get a “wants to meet” and try to see who it is you can’t read the profile, aren’t shown the distance, and just get to see 1 of their pictures. Once I’ve even had that one picture be oddly cropped so all you see is part of a dress. You have to pay to be able to message anyone. You can pay extra so that anyone you message can message you back but I wouldn’t be surprised if the app doesn’t inform the person. So as of now with this app I’ve had 5 people pick “want to meet” but I don’t even want to select wanting to meet them because I can’t really see them or their distance. Two of the accounts were fake, no one I have messaged has replied despite paying extra for them to have the option for free. Compare that to OkCupid where I’ve had about 7 or 8 mutual likes, and I’m pretty picky. Half of them I have been talking to. All in the same time frame.
Most ghetto app
by Ninjasteve1980 on 2019/03/23 18:21
I really don’t see how this app gets ANY decent reviews other than from predators. I cancelled my 3 month membership after like 1.5 months. I was ONLY hit on my people that were either legitimately nuts, WAY older than me, very large, or secretly married/ghosters. It keeps showing you the exact same profiles every time starts you with the same ones. You scroll down no swiping left to get them out of your queue. I’m an avg size girl, my pics are pretty, i’m into cool things and i look young for my age...on the FAR SUPERIOR AND MUCH CLASSIER apps, I am WAY more evenly matched and the people are real and genuine. This app, tinder and eharmony: stay away from them. The first two are just booty call apps with predators, nasty ppl and fake profiles. On Zoosk, a friend of mine actually got scammed by a fake profiler and they stole $1,000 from him. Another friend met up with a potential date, turned out his pics were 10 years old, all his teeth were rotted out from crack use, and he tried to assault her. I only met 2 guys I thought were cute & conpatible on Zoosk: one was insane and addicted to masturbating (ewww) the other ghosted me and I believe he was secretly married. The last is an all-out scam and the most expensive of all. I have found 3 apps that are affordable, classy, and all the people on there are real, and have made friends and dates on them. These are not it.
I’d rate lower if I could
by Sealsdeal on 2019/03/23 14:14
Customer service with Zoosk is horrible! It’s super expensive to talk to ppl. What they don’t tell you is even if you have a membership the other person most have a membership also for you to talk or you can pay 50% more on your membership to have people talk to you. What!? I canceled but they auto renewed me for 3 more months & won’t even cancel any of the months. Don’t do it to yourself! Much better apps out there! Zoosk is horrible.
Pay wall
by Shrubadubdub on 2019/03/21 12:38
Literally every feature is locked behind a paywall. This would be okay because they need to generate revenue somehow. But what makes it worse is that they have freaking ads running every other 30 seconds! Scummy app, you’d be better off with tinder or bumble.
Used to be my favorite app, now it’s almost horrible...
by Mattyggaga on 2019/03/21 05:03
Back 4-5 years ago, you could talk and message people without having a subscription. Now you can’t even look at most of the profiles without all of those annoying pop ups asking you to upgrade. It’s sad, I met my eventual wife on here. She messaged me first and we hit it off, so I have Zoosk to thank for that (she left me later for another guy, not sure if I have Zoosk to blame for that now) 🤨
Meh.
by c1k3 on 2019/03/21 02:26
Typical pay-to-play dating app. The SmartPick feature is good for one thing: finding people with whom I have absolutely nothing in common.

Used car salesman of dating sites 🙄
by AB960007 on 2019/03/19 13:07
I’ve found this service to be less than useless. The site forces you to select matches with limited information, so it’s a total guess as to whether you might be a good match. If you upgrade the service you need to fight to get them to stop automatically billing you. Save yourself.
Don’t waste your time
by A dissappinted Zoosk Member on 2019/03/17 01:50
Pros -They verify your pictures -Not a lot of bots like the other sites. Cons -Not a lot of responses. -They make you pay for things that are free on other sites (sending messages). -it’s the same people over and over. -when I tried to remove connections it would reconnect somehow. I paid for a 3 month subscription just to be able to send messages. Not worth it for me.

1 good, 3 bad.
by Kim A1980 on 2019/03/16 19:27
While I like the feature letting you know people actually look like their pictures there are so many more things wrong with this app. 1. Every time you scroll past someone they are notified that you viewed them. Um, what??? 2. It will continue to show you the same profiles repeatedly even though you have said no, multiple times. 3. Only way to stop seeing a profile is to block the user completely which seems a bit extreme. All in all, not worth the money!!!
Not that great
by Steph0606 on 2019/03/15 19:38
I just signed up and it’s okay so far. It’s weird having guys from across the country messaging me. They also have a lot of extra charges to add even more to your membership. My biggest issue right now is that my notifications don’t work. I open up the app to some messages that I had no idea I’d received.
The worst dating app there is
by Julie booley on 2019/03/14 14:27
The functionality of this dating app is easily by far the worst one out there. I have no idea how it is ranked so high. They must pay for those high rankings. I signed up and paid for the 6 months trial and I couldn’t even make it 30 days. It’s very frustrating the way they have this app set up and I’m technology savvy. That’s probably the issue!! What’s worse, is canceling it is not easy either.
Tinder and $$$
by thehannahspear on 2019/03/14 12:44
Zoosk is basically Tinder and you pay a lot for it they. They hit you with services in addition to whatever subscription you select. It is not the same type or quality people as like an eHarmony. It’s a hookup culture on Zoosk.
Worthless if you don’t pay

I don’t believe in paying for an app when they get plenty in other ways from advertisers. It is absolutely shocking how well regarded this terrible app is. Basically they trick you into investing a lot of time and money into something that then blocks those messages from being sent or read unless you pay up. Zoosk is in no way legit. Horrible use of basic human psychology for nothing but their own profit. I’ll be sticking to other apps that are more up front and can work for the person without having to pay. Wasted so much time. Would NOT recommend!

Zoosk is all mirrors. They send people to you that live 100 miles away. And when you do start to find someone, the only way to keep communicating is to pay Zoosk more money. It doesn’t stop, total scam. Start a conversation and they have a wall built up and unless you’re going to pay more money, your communication with someone will END.
This site is a joke.

Guaranteed to get Catfished
by Beautifulnove on 2019/03/12 05:07
My first time online dating and I paid for a 3 months subscription and I make it clear I want a long term relationship/marriage. Do not use this app. I got two scams/catfish, got several in appropriate offers, got stood up. So if you are wanting something serious and real. This app is NOT it. I have yet to figure out how to delete my account and profile. It only allows me to pause.
Absolute rip off
by Aliberti on 2019/03/12 03:27
Do not use this site. The photos and messages and chats are all fake. All they try to do is sell you into other adult sex sites or sell you upgrades to connect with other (fake) members. After I stopped paying (after 3-day trial) and cancelled everything and deleted my account of every possible identifying bit of info I am still receiving bogus messages. How can people be interested in messaging me if I have no account info or public viewable face page anywhere? Run away!

Just another trashy dating sites
by reviewthisnickname on 2019/03/11 11:57
Idk why anyone pays for trash applications that charge lonely people to try and find a meaningful connection, can’t even read what someone sends you without spending money. The world already has trash dating sites Zoosk, way to not change a thing.
Beware! Terrible app. I’ll bet the high stars are also bots from zoosk
by JinF on 2019/03/10 19:45
They squeeze and squeeze money out of you. It has far less users (in north Florida at least) than any of the other popular dating apps I found. When you don’t pay you can send likes. When you do it appears zoosk has made automatic replies. They reply almost immediately saying something like “I see that you liked me please message me” (Which you can’t read until you subscribe) and then when I subscribed, even though all 5 (for me) replied within half an hour or so of me sending a like, none of them respond anymore. Great scam set up zoosk! Really pisses me off! Stay away!

Keep Looking
by FantasyChamp79 on 2019/03/10 17:33
If you’re looking for an app that works really well with helping you find that one special person, this isn’t the dating site for you. If you’re hoping to find someone that doesn’t match with you very well and lives 300 miles away, congrats, Zoosk is for you. The app has a horrible layout. They use something called “smart pick”, which ironically isn’t smart at all. Match is better. Way better. I haven’t tried eHarmony, but I bet it’s better, as well. You might as well just stick to Tinder before using Zoosk.
Look but can't chat?!
by DJ from VA on 2019/03/10 14:34
Who in their right mind who give this app a rating of 5 stars?! This interface is horrible. The only way to communicate is to pay the minimum $30 a month? Yeah, not-so-much.

This app is horrible they aren’t interested in finding you someone, you can’t even send someone a message , you have to pay or subscribe if you want to send someone a message. Going to try pof , you can send messages without having to pay with them. Only giving them a star cuz I have to in order to submit this.

App WithOut Good Search Criterial
by LQROC on 2019/03/09 02:18
In today’s world for dating app to be fully sufficient; it must be provided a search features option. As you can see from many of the constructive criticism; why can this not be implemented. Once this is added than I am sure many users would give this app a 4-5 Star rating

by andy8803 on 2019/03/06 18:25
I met a couple cool people on here and talked with a few more cool and attractive women, yet it’s slim pickings. Most of the women in their 40s as I am are way overweight. Stop eating what you see on TV advertisements and fast food! What i didn’t like is that on the day my subscription cancelled, suddenly my Smart Picks turned into beautiful fit women and I had 29 messages and had to subscribe again to read them. 😂. And Zoosk showed attractive women in my town 3 miles away. I live in a small town and know they don’t live here. Lol!
Save your time and money
by crichards08 on 2019/03/06 11:55
Not worth the time or money. Zoosk claims to become better at picking your matches the more you use it. The selections they showed were everything I picked NOT to be a match and the matches continuously became worse the more I tried to use it.
Money grab
by MMPGA on 2019/03/04 22:31
Why would I possibly be matched up with a person who lives 127 miles away. Not only that but to have this person not fit in my profile request as well. They totally got me though, sent me a connection from a woman in my area that actually looked like someone I might be interested in. So she "Messaged me" in response to me sending a smile. I sign up for 1 month, my last month as well, once I sign up I get absolutely no response from the person who sought me out. SCAM!!!!!!!!!! DON'T fall for their bait and switch tactics. One star is being generous.
Don’t think people are really messaging you!
by NotImpressed 🤨 on 2019/03/04 00:11
This app is a total rip-off!! If you have a connection with a person Zoosk sends you a message that you have a connection, it is NOT the other person messaging you! I thought I had a message from someone I was really interested in so I paid for a month subscription. It was not a message from that person, it was a message from Zoosk saying I had a connection. 🙄 well played I guess Zoosk but really freakin shady!!
Worst Dating App

Where do I start?! I submitted my criteria in the type of guy I would like to date. I only kept getting notifications from the total opposite. Total rejects!!! I’m thinking who the hell are they showing my profile to. I will never utilize this app again. The developers need to improve the logarithm of how matches are selected to make sure it matches the subscriber’s criteria.
What a waste of $30!!
by Mike '64 on 2019/03/03 20:17
I tried Zoosk after being divorced. In the past 1 month I’ve received “so and so” wants to meet you. I respond with a yes and that’s is far as it went. About 7 times that happened. I’ve contacted over 70 different woman and asked if they were even getting my message. I received one saying Happy Valentine’s Day. 2 out of 70 inquiries only answered. This site to me is a scam. I’ll get a few “she” likes you. I respond back on emails from Zoosk and it sends me to the Carousel section. The girl that supposedly likes you is not in their carousel selections. Then the same woman that you’re really not interested in keeps coming up over and over again. After deleting, it still comes back as a “new contact”. Really a crappy site. Any navigation you want to do will cost you too. You have to buy these virtual coins in their store to use if you want to know if someone read your message. I went through them fast and they’re not cheap just to check a message? I’ve canceled after the first month. I hope someone else has more luck than me.

$60 for 3 months
by Shtupandtakemymoney on 2019/03/02 13:07
And that’s the cheapest plan you can get. You can’t send messages until you pony up the dough and you can even scroll through more than 3 people before getting hit with video ads. This site is digging for money and their not getting mine. If I wanted to pay $60 to get a man I would go somewhere where hookers are legal.
Very few real users
by woundwart on 2019/03/01 15:02
Most of the users you will see are fake accounts or extremely old accounts that haven’t been used in years. For the month I was a member I sent introductions to over 100 users. Received one or two replies that led nowhere. The most telling thing of how scammy this app is was that the day after my membership expired I “received” 9 messages of people who are interested. 30 days of nothing and today I am the belle of the ball? Of course I can’t see any of those messages unless I renew.
Zoosk is a horrible scam
by Dachozen on 2019/03/01 03:53
Zoosk won’t even let you message other members unless you pay and they aren’t even up front about it.
Garbage.
by enzy111111 on 2019/02/28 20:47
Subscribe and you still can’t send messages, you have to upgrade your inbox separately to send messages. Most of the people on the app can’t communicate with you. Whenever you’re sent to an upgrade page you have to quit the app altogether to go back. You have to mail a letter certified mail to cancel, this app is trash.

Zoosk-On the Take
by Octoset on 2018/08/11 17:52
You’ve heard about or even experienced yourself those kind of relationships that one side just takes while the other side gives. That’s how I would describe using the Zoosk app. It’s total relationship goal is to squeeze every dime from your pocket while it gives ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in return. Once they scam you out of a membership( that you willingly do) they proceed with a menu of other additional things they will allow you know- for an additional cost of course like ALLOW your messages to be read by anyone you send them to. WHAT?! So only certain people that you message can read what you sent unless I pay an additional fee ? Oh, and if you want to know if someone even read your message then, you guessed it, pay up for that too. Maybe it’s just me, but that’s not the way to invest into a better relationship. I will have to say that I did like the way they encouraged people to authenticate themselves with their photos, other social pages, their phone number and even military history. I’m glad they didn’t make you pay for that ( and I did use). Lastly, many of the males didn’t even bother putting any effort into their profiles. Their pics were unclear, didn’t bother to introduce themselves or even pick a more original user name than “Zoosk User”. I realize that isn’t Zoosk’s responsibility but, I did factor that in when deciding to remain , which I didn’t even before my paid membership was expired.
Complete rip.
by Erdill355 on 2018/07/02 22:09
I normally don't write reviews but I really haven't had much luck on this site. I have had more responses from dating sites like POF. I have a match membership as well. Getting back to zoosk. When I first signed up in 2013, you could browse and at least view members. Hey you even got to write a message. But come on man, paying to message? Let's be real here. St lest with a POF membership you know that you message was either read or deleted. Come on man, having to pay additional money to see if your message was read or not? Come one man, let's be real. If you don't get a reply, then either your message wasn't read or it got the ultimate delete. But how are you supposed to know if you don't pay? And not to mention that zoosk is one of the top money making dating sites? I would say so with all the additional crap that they sell. Buy coins, blah. Buy boost, blah. Buy hide, blah. And hardly anyone messages back on this site. So why bother spending your hard earned money here? Go to a strip bar at least there you'll get a nice rise out of something and not butthurt like this site. I really do like the layout, but previous versions were much nicer. End review. Oh and not to mention that I think either google or zoosk themselves created another account for me using my gmail. I only have one account using an aol email. I have never, ever wanted to create 2 zoosk profiles. I can only manage one account.
Dating app equivalent of a floating fly in your latte
by Nunyainct on 2018/08/11 12:35
This app is the internet equivalent of finding a floating fly in your latte. The carousel feature just sends you pictures where you have to make a split decision of yes no or maybe based on someone’s looks. You get a whopping zip as to interests or intellectual acumen. And, you cannot ignore the person and move onto the next. There is no way to search for someone based on their zoosk name. Equally awful is the encouragement of sending a heart or smile emoji. How on earth is that a message? Are we 12 years old? I’ve met a few people on the site who told me they figured out emojis or a short message were not sent by them but receive other people. The only good thing I can say about the app is that if you’re busy, it’s at least sticking your toe in the water to start going out on a few dates. And that being said, you need to meet the person right away the longer the texts drag out, the less likely you are to meet or the less likely the burger at the window looks anything like the burger on the display poster. Because of the awful carousel, inability to search people by name, I’d rate this app with zero stars if I could. I almost forgot the absurd coin options to hide your profile, see if a message was read and send a gift... zoosk should be renamed the internet dating site for socially awkward people who never matured past 12 years old....
Dollars and Cents is the apps MO
by Firstbiteoftheapple on 2019/01/18 17:27
This app is less interested in you meeting people to date and MORE interested in luring you into purchasing a membership (that many complain is difficult to cancel or stop the automatic subscription) then charging you to message anyone you might want to get to know! I did read warnings and reviews on the internet prior to using the app. I really thought about how the app developers make money and hoped others experiences wouldn’t be my experience. I was mistaken. I’m convinced that meeting people the old fashioned way is far cheaper and less frustrating. The app is not “user friendly.” You can message people after paying for message package and the app doesn’t allow you to see the messages of all members whether they have a paid membership or are on a free trial. The app uses internal data to prevent you from making contact with an intended. They dangle a carrot in front of you then they want you to pay for tokens, message packages and Zoosk emojis to “try” to get in touch with someone’s profile. I’ll allow my current membership to expire and my message package and will not be using this app again. Thanks to all the other people who wrote a review and expressed their disdain for the app. Beware of using this Zoosk app is all I can say. Anything that sounds too good to be true is in this case!!!
Never again
by Nick2theNameNaysay on 2018/03/08 01:46
So, after using an app like this for the first time here’s what I’ve learned. It’s all an illusion and scam to make money. Some of these people are paid to message you and some of them apparently are automated messages. If they’re not being paid then hats off. Immediately after I deleted the account, I get a an email talking about someone that wants to have a good time. Nothing is to the point. Also, I don’t understand how the people who pay for these services and are popular don’t feel like garbage humans. You’re asked to like 40 different people who may or may not have anything in common with your or each other. In the real world, opposites attract and there could be one thing they have in common which sets things off. The beauty about a real world situation is that you figure that out on your own, rather than knowing it first hand. It then becomes a game for you to get in someone’s pants and possibly ruin their life. Honestly, I think these apps should be illegal. I don’t care what good could or did come from these apps. That doesn’t mean they can do as they please charging a person just to talk with someone which you could do for free with other apps or by simply having their number. Anyway that’s my review and opinion about this and similar apps. You do you.
It’s an app and nothing is guaranteed in real life...
by samantha112369 on 2018/03/20 01:24
I read review where someone was complaining so much about what was wrong with this app. Everything you have to take with a grain of salt. There are millions of people who want to meet someone and there is a probability that you will meet someone that is close to what you’re looking for. With that said you may have to kiss a few frogs before you find your close to being a prince, no one is perfect. Being selective and being open are two things that go hand-in-hand when getting on any dating site they’re all an algorithm. And if you understand that then you know what you’re getting yourself into. I have had no issues I have met some wonderful people... have any of them then my match no and I’m OK with that it’s giving me an opportunity to find out what I can and cannot live with at this point my life. At the same time I have met some very nice people. I have no horror stories for anyone because nothing is guaranteed in life. I wish everyone well and don’t take this seriously until you meet someone you want to be serious with and remember it takes two people to commit.

I have found if u like trying to make contact with people 900 miles away for a relationship... This site maybe exactly what u r looking for. Even when it states photos r verified, I have found this not to true. A lot of fake profiles too. I noticed more of the "attractive" people were either never married or widowers or had "just recently" relocated to the area. Kinda strange... The other review about this site constantly trying to upcharge u for different things that should be a given (knowing if someone has read ur message to them) is ridiculous! Plus when u try to filter the site to now it down to more of what u r looking for, the filter constantly changes back to no filter. The carousel search is another big waste of time with the site deciding who is ur best match without taking anything into consideration. BIG waste of money and time. I would recommend Match (one of my friends had great success with that site), or even Ourtime. Definitely not this site, unless u just need ur ego pumped up with fake pics, profiles, and responses. FaceTime or video chat with ur contact to find out if they r real. That is exactly how I learned this site is only about 35% real!
Worst dating site yet!!
by Raineygirl on 2018/05/23 12:52
I thought I’d take a chance and see how this site was like. I don’t like it at all. First of all, I think it’s deceiving because it’ll send you a notification that “someone” sent you a message. So, when you go to the site, you see that maybe it was just someone who viewed you...no message. The reason they probably viewed is because this site has a way of getting you to view people and then notifying them that “you” viewed them...which prompts them to go see who viewed them...which prompts another message to you that someone messaged you. Like a domino effect. Like someone else said, the carousel part of this site is just plain dumb. It asks you to either say Yes, No, or Maybe. The yes and maybe answer will definitely match you up with them. Now mind you, you don’t even have a clue as to where they live so they could be 100...or 1000 miles away!!! Plus, they could be midgets or gigantic! I think that part of this is so wrong. After all, a face is just a face! Before I say I like someone or not...I need to see or know a little more about them. So, that is very misleading to me. Hope they change some things or else, bad publicity will cause them to lose or not make any money.
Carousel BS

This Ap is set up more like a board game than a site offering information about possible matches. Why can’t you just show names/photos/ interests to all those who fit your age, location and brief description? I lost $7k to another site to an internet love scammer. Don’t think you could be fooled by these folks? These people are pros and know every angle to charm you into their trap. Make sure you can talk and see the person. Don’t fall for the “ due to high security crap” and as soon as the request for money comes up- RUN. Watch for grammatical errors as well. Another red flag there. UN ambassadors and chaplains have more important things to do then fly to Gahna and Nigeria. Western union and some Walmart’s won’t even deliver there. Don’t wind up like I did- a very gullable, foolish and now $5K debt. My family will not even speak to me. PS- military folk ready to retire have there accounts”sealed” so they can not access money until return to Us. True or not, I heard that deal twice. Second time I bowed out right before the $1K request came through. There were gold rewards for bravery and good deeds involved in both. Sad but there are many out there. They play you like a fiddle. Report to FBI but don’t count on anything!

I like many things about Zoosk. It’s one of the best dating sites. However, there are no line item questions about the miles I’m willing to travel nor the height of the female I seek, hence 80% of the choices I am sent are are a two hour drive or taller than I am comfortable with. I mentioned these preferences in my “story” but your staff does not have the time to read these many “stories” and adjust parameters accordingly. So obviously these variables need to be added to your line item questions. Next I am frustrated by your Smart Pick option. After being sent the results of my Smart Pick, I press the photo to find out the important information about my Pick, the picture disappears and a message pops up saying “no Smart Picks at this time, we will alert you when you have new Smart Picks”. I am sure I’m not the only person to be frustrated by this, and I would appreciate having the option to select information and potentially contact my new Smart Pick. Sincerely, Rancho Cowboy
Don’t bother! Skip this site!
by Alyssa-H93 on 2018/10/30 03:22
I honestly wish I could give zero stars because of how awful this site is. I initially didn’t pay for anything and wanted to see how it worked. Didn’t like how I couldn’t do much. So I paid for one month. Still hate it. I can do a little more but not much. Don’t get me started on the quality of picks. I get nothing but creepy men that are well in their 40’s and some in their 50’s asking to be my sugar daddy. I’ve had a few keep messaging me to give them a chance. So I had no other choice but to block them. If it’s not the age then they all live over 1,000 miles away! Not exaggerating! I have searched up and down to try and set a range like all other sites let you, and nothing. Can’t find where to do that. I’ve talked to a couple people on there but they can’t hold a conversation. I get views from profiles where I have to ask for a picture...pass! I can’t even view the profile pictures of the Smart Picks. It’s a tiny little box and I can’t see much. I would never recommend this site for anyone that wants to try online dating! I had better luck on Hinge and Bumble! Don’t waste your time and money!!😡🤬
Better than other apps, barely
by TCA151 on 2019/01/21 18:04
First dating app I’ve tried that actually had very few fake profiles, scammers & prostitutes. Be aware that developers review ALL profile stories and any edits you make - they will make changes if they don’t like what you write (removing not just profanity & any sexual comments, but also anything that remotely criticizes Zoosk or online dating in general. Don’t dare say that online dating is hard or frustrating). For a guy, the biggest problem is women who do not respond to messages. This app lets you see when anyone views you - even when they keep coming back to see you over and over. But, the lack of engagement from the women is much worse than many other apps. It’s like a lame middle school dance with everyone staring at each other from across the gym! The ladies’ stories all say that they are seeking a guy, but that’s hard to do if you don’t have the guts to exchange a few text messages in the app. I lasted about a month & finally gave up. Hope you have better luck!
Just give the people what they want!
by Disgusted with this baloney! on 2018/06/30 00:26
Don’t like the “game” playing of the carousel- how do I know if I like someone when I can’t refer to their profile? Then if you like various people and put yes/maybe - zoosk chooses the final one and you either accept or reject...then have to start all over again!!! Really don’t have time for these games... very busy and just want it to be clear cut, give me people ONLY within the radius I ask for, and if I delete them I don’t want them to surface again!! It’s the same people over and over...whoever thought of this tortuous system? Time waster! People want to meet real qualified matches. If they are on there to play games and waste time for fun, they need to be weeded out somehow. I pay for my subscription but can’t tell if someone else just popped on for the night and is going to scam me or waste time. It has happened over and over. I don’t like being scammed right before a subscription renewal either!!! Seems suspect to me...just sayin’!! I hope you get it straightened out - there’s got to be a technology that can figure this out! Disgusted!
Zoosk gets 2 thumbs up
by jLondon7 on 2019/02/08 12:27
I have to totally disagree with Zoosk on the take. You can view all messages and profiles with your paid subscription whichever you choose. I wanted to test the waters so I opted for one month. I believe the extra charge for everyone to see you and message you. Is more for the ppl who have not paid and they can’t see or message everyone. So that will allow the non subscribers to reach you. It’s a lot of good men with great work history and excellent retirement plans. Aka good jobs.... 😁 80 percent caucasians. 20 percent African Americans and one % Asians. A lot of construction workers on this site. It’s true a lot of people don’t take the time to pick a good name and fully commit to writing a story. That means they’re not looking for quality just quantity. So you just pass on certain profiles. I really enjoyed the site. I met a few special men on Zoosk. So I give it a thumbs up
Stalkerish App
by JMS06010 on 2018/07/04 17:55
The developers need to fix the “viewed me” component of this app! It portrays individuals to be what one would define as a stalker the amount of times the app identifies how many times a day someone views you! It has happened to myself and others have reported the same issue! Men or women then believe you are interested and have messaged me to the point I have to block them! It is completely inaccurate and only makes any individual using the app look bad! You are supposed to be helping people find compatible matches not scaring them away! Finally, the app uses an algorithm based on individuals you state you are interested in?! I even have stated in my settings the age range (36-46) I am looking for! With that being said MOST of the matches the app sends me are of men 50 plus who live 100 miles away! These are not men who have viewed me or messaged me, these are men this app has specifically matched me with. How about you use the algorithm the way it is intended to be used for not only age but by distance! Is 100 miles away really realistic for the average person looking to date? I think not!
Unhappy customer
by Scrap grandma on 2018/10/01 19:54
This is The second time I’ve used this app and I am still very disappointed in what is on this website. A lot of these men are looking for a fantasy woman! Not the real deal.. Rather looking for love or a relationship we all have responsibilities that won’t go away because of a new relationship.. drama? No “Reality”!! The man on here don’t seem to care at all about the truthfulness of their appearance and age they need to have Up dated pictures and be honest with what or whom they are looking for. Went on a date with a man that took pot every morning a date with a man still pining for his deceased wife an alcoholic and one that wanted a mother. I feel this website is a joke not one person I have talk to or went to coffee or dinner with were caring for anything more than themselves! Or they just wanted someone to talk to/sex. On my profile it said within 60 miles and men only !!! nearly every one of the men were hundreds of miles away and numerous pictures of women!! Seriously Zoosk - you need to really work on your app 😡😡😡very very disappointed . Will NOT recommend or renew😡
Such a scam
by Letmesubmitadamnreview on 2017/12/16 14:05
I was just going to uninstall and forget this app, but then I got charged for something I did not agree to. With every subscription based service, no mater what it is, I always instantly cancel, Zoosk was no exception. The reason I don’t do this is so I can see how a service is before I agree to pay for more than an initial period. Obviously, I was less than impressed with Zoosk. Being disappointed, I deleted the app and tried to forget it. I, however was not able to do that. Instead, Zoosk charged me for a second period that should not have even been possible. When I contacted customer support, I got someone who told me that it’s my fault they charged me a second time, but at least I can use the service for the remainder of the month. Oh, I can also resubscribe at any time! I had contacted them not even a day after my nonexistent renewal date, obviously I would have gotten zero usage out of it by the time it had happened. I discourage using this service very highly. They don’t like to take no for an answer when canceling their service.
Awful experience
by Jives123 on 2017/10/19 01:47
I’ve tried my fair share of apps, and this one has really stood out as awful. For one, you literally can’t even get a sense for the other people on the app without purchasing a ridiculously expensive subscription ($30 for one month... or you could commit to 6 months for a lower per month price). You can make a profile and log on and see profiles, but you can’t receive or send messages as a part of the trial at all. As mentioned by others, the app matches you with people that specifically don’t meet criteria you’ve pre-selected, it doesn’t allow you to arrange your photos in any way, it doesn’t allow you to expand these tiny thumbnails of photos in the profiles of others in the match list they give you, and if you do the random profile thing, it literally shows you one picture and asks you whether you like the person. I’m sorry, is this tinder??? The interface is annoying and the app in general does not seem to be concerned with user experience whatsoever. I am incredibly disappointed in this app.
Worse online dating site/ STAY WAY!!
by Ziggy puppy on 2018/04/04 03:56
I would never recommend Zoosk to anyone. Please stay away from this site. This is by far the worst online dating site. I want to say that about 90% of the men are disgusting. You start talking with them and within days they want to have sex. Seriously? Then you try canceling the subscription from your phone and the actual website, mind you, you have to cancel twice. I didn’t care that I lost money. I just wanted to put this behind me. Then a month goes by and you get charged for the month. I reached out to a customer service rep and they make you feel like you’re an idiot and don’t know how to cancel. Really? Come on. Fine, so after days of going back and forth, Zoosk said they will only reimburse me half of my money and they cancelled me out. Ok, I thought this nightmare was over but no, I received an email this morning that my account was unpaused. I reached out to customer service and haven’t heard back or received my half refund. This site is a joke. Please stay away from it. Do not get caught up in their web.
Zoosk is fun!
by mbbarch on 2018/05/08 02:37
I don’t take to heart the previous reviews because this app is far superior to others where profiles are continuously hacked and truly fake messages are created. I have found Zoosk members to be courteous and thoughtful in their posts. It’s true that every app throws out lots of options for you, but it is when you Search with your own criteria that you have the most success. I think Carousel is loads of fun, it’s a light hearted way to be exposed to lots of nice people you might not have come across. And I have never had a false profile message sent to me! Other sites seem to have far less members so I will keep getting sent anyone around my age from my town, but that doesn’t happen to me on Zoosk. They have sent me men who are less educated than I like, but I have never been sent a woman, or men with characteristics I reject. And I have met some wonderful men!
Can’t search by member name.
by Steve clock fan on 2018/03/17 12:45
Zoosk frustrates me in that if you see someone you want to contact, and unless you send a message immediately to establish contact, there is no way to find their profile later using their Zoosk name. Even tech support says they have no way of locating a member’s profile using their Zoosk alias! Using Zoosk is somewhat like being in a hurricane with profiles flying by. Grab any that interest you right then because you can’t go back. Their “Search” button does not allow you to search for someone you saw. It just puts you back in their hurricane of profiles. Another issue is that some of their search modes ignore my preference settings. I specified a maximum distance of 20 miles, and most of their “matches” are hundreds of miles away, 1,500, 1,700 miles, etc. Zoosk, both of these issues can be solved with software updates. Are you listening to your customers?
Carousel tells you nothing
by wondering to continue on 2018/05/08 06:53
I agree with the previous subscriber that carousel does not take into affect any thing other than looks. That feature live strictly on narcissistic tendencies and some people are very narcissistic and somewhat dangerous . Am I responding and saying yes to somebody 2000 miles away? Do I know their age? You don’t know anything about them so why waste your time swiping quote yes quote on dozens of people and they’re not even in your area geographically. Sure you might hit a homerun with the long-distance thing but really you don’t want to get involved somebody outside of your driving requirements why even play Carousel? Granted I have but it’s not very productive or realistic in most cases. On those grounds alone I can anyone leaving the site. Secondly if you know a subscriber by screen name you can’t find them unless they’re in your account section that you’ve messaged them before. There’s no way to look somebody up that you might’ve seen before but did not message. There is no real depth to this site but it is simple.
Fake algorithm ? Bad system for matches, carousel is the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen.??
by Fyouripoffpieceofshitapp on 2018/06/30 18:47
I as well got scammed into this app acouple times. The first time was because once the free ran out, Zoosk tricked me into staying by notifying me that I had messages. B.S., they were hearts and smiles... which mean nothing to anyone apparently ? The second was because Zoosk falsely says that someone is viewing you over and over again..( they are most Likely Not.. and if you try to Delete someone that is annoying or whatever, it notifies them that you viewed them and makes it worse when they think you’re interested, when you’re Not.. the App is Set up Very Poorly, it has not been amended at all. Zoosk has changed my profile statement, taking things out, adding from previous versions, outright changing it around so that I sound like some thing I am Not, it has happened numerous times until I threatened them with legal action... I simply want to me a nice woman that I’m attracted to is all. This app is a borderline scam !!
Do not use
by Flair6660 on 2019/04/11 02:10
Was on it for about a month, started getting some messages from people I found attractive that I could not see because I wasn’t paying for an account, so I spent the money to interact.

This site may not be perfect but it excels at the one key attribute. There are LOTS and LOTS of PAYING members. This means there are more quality ladies to connect with and VOLUME is where success lies, not fancy algorithms or filters. It shuffles the deck over and over so you don’t miss out on a hidden opportunity. Yes. You have to hand-filter out girls that are too old, too young, smoke, are unattractive in some way. Also, girls show up as have viewed your profile even when they’ve only thumbed past it. Still, it’s VOLUME you want. Just block the ones you’re tired of seeing and keep your eyes on the prize. For the uninitiated, note that the site DOES bait you before you pay with hotties that are either non-existent, non-paying, or real, and filters out the physically undesirables and Stepford wives. Happy hunting.
2 Stars is a gift
by d-scusted on 2018/11/02 00:34
Why can’t you have a trial period even if it’s 2 weeks so people don’t get sucked in to having to buy a subscription to view one message worthy of viewing? I thought Zoosk would be different but it’s the same BS. It’s not hard to find quality people as it is. And what is up with the ridiculous carousel and the site in general. Make your site inviting and give a little if you expect people to buy from you which is giving back and DON’T advertise a free site when it’s not free if the only way you can communicate with someone is to buy a subscription. I personally don’t like to invest in something I don’t get a return on. Give a little, get a lot. Be the BETTER site and erase your competition. I’ll sign back up when I can view and communicate for free without having to enter my credit card info for 14 days! And, you’ll get a much better review.
The worst of the worst
by hereiznoy on 2019/01/17 00:04
This is probably the worst dating app I’ve used. They send a ton of emails. “So and so” is interested. Click the link. *Maybe* be linked to the stupid carousel and see a single pic of the interested party. Spend 15 minutes of your precious time swiping left/right/ middle through a HUNDRED profiles. Or maybe... you get linked to the carousel starting with a completely random person and think to self, how did I screw up clicking a link? See a profile you like? Good luck figuring out to actually “like” it. Oops! I just sent a message with a stupid heart emoji. Or if you’re lucky...a stupid smiley emoji. But then you get a reply! And you craft a super witty bit of repartee. Whoops! Turns out it was an auto reply. Look, if you held a Nerf to my head I could come up with some redeeming qualities of this here app. But there are much, much better options that are worth your time. These guys took $30 of my hard earned dollars. Don’t let them do the same to you.
Not what it Says
by EmmatheGeek on 2018/06/21 19:36
So this app says it’s the number 1 dating site and I find that incredibly hard to believe. First of all, I answered their questionnaire and am being routinely matched with people outside of not only my chosen preferences but with people I’ve never even seen before. I’ll receive a notification very rarely for this app though my notifications settings says I should be getting them. This app also allows people to continue sending you messages even after you have chosen the option to remove their chat permission. I also don’t like the fact that the carousel option gives you a picture a picture and an age and then you are supposed to say Yes, No, or Maybe. These matches are routinely outside of my set search parameters. I’m completely disappointed in this app and will probably be deleting it as soon as my set subscription runs out.

Over 7 years I have tried virtually every online dating service with marginal success. Suffice to say no lasting relationships as a factor of the amount of fees paid. I’ve been on this site for 2 weeks. I have seen some of the most attractive women that I have seen in my entire searching history. On the other sites they would feature attractive women as bait, but never reachable. On Zoosk I’ve contacted 6 women in 13 days. All returned interest and met 4 women. All real, accurate and ready with interest. I’ve met someone very special from this site and am stopping my subscription. I for one want to thank you. You did what you said you would do and provided more than adequate choices available.
Double Standard
by Firebrand2 on 2019/02/12 00:44
I’m sorry but I have to call this site out for something. I am a male user. The site (or one of its moderators) removed a photo of me with a firearm. I researched the policies to find out why. Turns out, Zoosk has a “no weapons” policy like so many other dating apps do. I’m like: “fine, you’re a private company and you can do what you want.” That was my thinking until... I see photos of female users with firearms. If I didn’t know any better, I’d say the rules aren’t being applied equally. Zoosk, you’re certainly not the only company to have this policy; but it really doesn’t make much sense. I don’t have access to your statistics, but I would bet that men spend more money on your site (or any dating site) than women do. If you’re not going to apply the rules even-handedly, could you at least — oh, I don’t know — throw a bone to the demographic that actually pays for your service?
SAVE YOUR MONEY AND YOUR DIGNITY
by Jratner214 on 2018/10/16 17:00
DO NOT JOIN ZOOSK!!! Once you’ve created a profile there’s NO WAY to permanently delete it. You can “pause” it. But you cannot DELETE it altogether. Really Zoosk?? Even archaic Facebook has a way to DELETE your account. Being on Zoosk was like hanging out at a sketchy bar. Some of the “matches” Zoosk suggested for me looked like men who are allergic to soap & water. AND Zoosk took it upon itself to send notifications to men that I wanted to meet them. The carousel idea?? LAUGHABLE. Clearly, it's for people who are just looking to hook up for a one nighter. Bc you have to make a split decision based on looks alone. This is a horrible site. Messaging: You can send a ❤️ or 🙂. Wow....Really? Why not just pass a note "Do you like me? Check yes or no." After two messaging conversations; 1) just whining about having to pay for the service 2) the other claiming to want “sincere conversation” but moved right into “send me a full body pic”. Both giving off a serious CREEP vibe. I knew this wasn’t the place for me (re-evaluating the friendship with the person who suggested it). Imagine my surprise when I discovered there’s NO WAY to permanently delete my information. Oh I was able to change some of it like my name to “NOPE” and remove my picture. I cannot say enough bad about this company. I will never be back & I will warn everyone away from Zoosk.
Billed me even though i Cancelled app 3 times!
by jessiemae89 on 2018/09/08 17:22
I finally decided to come on here and write a review. I had joined Zoosk at most, couple yrs ago. I didn’t truly “sign up” until maybe 6 mths later. Anyways it was fun for a bit just meeting new people. Then it just got weird and annoying with guys saying gross things which I understand Zoosk has ZERO control over. My point and frustration with Zoosk is that when I decided to just end my subscription, I noticed a couple or more mths later that I was still being charged! I sent Zoosk an email explaining what happened. NO REPLY! NO REFUND! So a couple more mths down the road what do I see? I am STILL BEING CHARGED!!! I finally was able to completely delete the app but am Very disappointed with this company! I am not poor but I am not rich and cannot just throw money out the window! So make sure you all DO NOT do this to someone else please. And yes, I never did get any bit of a refund. 👎👎😟
Ehhh.. make improvements
by SaytanBrown on 2018/06/08 15:33
First of all.. if you send someone a heart and or smile they should automatically get put on a list showing you sent them a heart or smile so you know and can find them easier.. Second.. you should be able to search members names or have a list of who you recently viewed not just a list of who viewed you.. It’s super inconvenient when you want to view that member again, but can’t unless they view you.. Third.. It’s hard to get matches.. so when you get a match (connection) you should be able to message them and only them (your connections) for free.. I get messages from my connections when they match or like me back and I can’t read them unless I subscribe.. or have a limit of messages you can send a person until you have to subscribe like 10 messages..

Worthless dating app
by Weather buggy....I mean buggy on 2019/01/23 22:49
Zero stars if I could. Don’t waste your time, money or effort on the Zoosk app. This is by far the most dysfunctional dating app that I’ve ever used. You can’t view a profile if someone wants to meet you. You simply have to choose yes or no based on their first photo (which may or may not be centered) and you don’t even get to see how far away they live. Useless. Things are only slightly better with Smartpick, you can barely see their pictures because they are now just part summary page and look more like a thumbnail (and of course you can’t zoom in.) What makes it completely useless is that support is pretty much nonexistent. After I asked my 2nd question, I felt like they either have software reading your questions and answering them or people who have only the slightest grasp of the English language. Either way, this app has proven to me that it is worthless.
Don’t work, please, app owners fix your product.
by exile 85 on 2017/10/24 22:05
Online dating works for some people not everybody, have used dozens of dating apps over the years in heaven frankly disappointed because all of them are pretty much the same BS. This dating app is no different. Set me up with matches that clearly don’t fit the profile I put. You think the owners of this app would actually take a look at people‘s profiles and actually set them up with people they are similar to. I have not gotten matches that was even close. Do yourselves a favor go out see people. These dating apps have a good concept but they have a lot of holes more than. Take this information as a grain of salt there are successes but they’re a lot more disappointments. The owners of this app if you really want to be successful please fix all these errors and problems with your search engine it’s really not that hard. Once you do that then we’ll talk.
Don’t Waste Your Time
by Blimbby on 2018/10/04 13:42
This app is a complete waste of time. I don’t want to make a story of details... but in short. You have to pay to do pretty much ANYTHING other than just swiping if you like the profile or not, oh yeah, and once you’ve swiped so many, it tells you you’ve done too much and won’t let you browse anymore! Pretty sure you have to pay to see just who likes you and if you do and you want to message them, YOU CAN’T! They make you pay to message people! Are you kidding me?! The worst part is if you try to put your contact info on your profile because no one can have a way to contact you, the site will recognize it and remove it immediately. Very disappointed. I hate this app. Waste of time and others. Don’t be fooled by them! They just want your money! Trust me, there’s more flaws. And so much for a short story... that’s what you get when you waste your time and energy I guess
Sexist Dating App
by Baltes778 on 2018/04/25 17:45
I’ve never written a review in the App Store before but due to my experience with Zoosk, I feel compelled to warn other women. I feel this company is very sexist in that they push much older men on younger women and there is no way to guard against it by setting controls. You can create a custom search for your age preference but the default is men 10+ years your age and only a couple years younger. The “carousel game” is the same and cannot be altered. I’m 45 years old and was regularly contacted by men in their mid 50s all the way to 70s! Shame on you Zoosk for not only encouraging outdated social norms but for not allowing women to set their own parameters. How about standard settings that balance age ranges for women, such as 5-10 years older AND younger! Women these days know what we want and what we don’t. I for one, don’t want men who could be my father contacting me all the time! Get with the times and be an advocate for women’s equality!
Not recommend
by Play gin on 2018/02/12 17:26
My 2 Star rating is adequate because Zoosk does not ask you what you are looking for in a partner. Plus the Zoosk Carousel constantly matches you with people that do not have written profiles or live much too far away and Zoosk says this person matches your profile. How can that be?? Another issue and bad structure of this site is... Browsing.. when browsing the actual profile appears and that person sees that you viewed them. Some think you are interested when you are not. There should just be a photo and if you are interested then you can click on the profile to view more. Also and very important... don’t even try to send an email to customer service. You will get an automated email saying they cannot answer all emails and you should check the FAQ’s.. a lot of help that is!!
App functions
by leslie23111 on 2018/04/12 05:01
I don’t understand the smart pick process at all. Honestly it seems like it is the closest me ever to me geographically, that my choice of religion or smoking preference or whatever is not taken into account at all. The carousel feature could use tweaking, like I am literally selecting yes or no on an imagine alone, I can at least look at the profiles on okcupid before saying yes or no. I have no idea where the person is located geographically, what their religion is, nothing. I also don’t understand why in the app I cannot remove people from connections once we establish there isn’t really a connection. I think the app could use some serious tweaking, but I think those on here are looking for something more than I fling and the conversations are overall better.
Don’t waste your time or money
by Sugarkat25 on 2018/05/09 10:22
Use the free apps like Bumble, Tinder or OKCupid. Zoosk is the biggest waste of money I have ever spent. You cannot easily change the distance of your matches , and you cannot control who matches with you, so you will get “A zoosk member messaged you!” And it’s a man who lives 500 miles away. What good is that doing me? Then you get these daily “smart pics’ where you are asked if you “like him”. You are only shown tiny thumbnail sized photos, and if you click yes, those “matches” don’t show up anywhere. He’s as good as lost forever. Zoosk offers premade questions so when someone does reach out they don’t even use original thought. I get a dozen smiley faces and 40 hearts a day, and 2-3 questions asking what’s the best quality about being a Leo, when I don’t even know the name of the man asking. Zoosk promotes no individuality and has no real matches - not in my area anyway. Go with bumble, men actually communicate there so long as you take the first step to reach out (Bumble’s rules, ladies first) Or weed through the creeps on Tinder. At least their are actual people on Tinder and it can cross reference with your social media. OkCupid was a great site for me back in NY. Not as many people use it on Florida but it’s free and way better than zoosk. Don’t waste your money on this crap.
Stay away for multiple reasons: privacy concerns
by Garnet2828! on 2019/01/21 19:38
I have attempted to give zoosk the benefit of the doubt based on the reviews however I can not advise more to stay away. First, customer support is brutal. I have been receiving numerous messages from men stating thank you for viewing them or contacting them in one way or another. I have not. I did not view these men, reach out, accidentally look at their profile etc. This occurred over and over. I sent an email to Zoosk with my concerns and spoke to Cesar without any regard. I was concerned in the function of this site and with my privacy as I never contacted or viewed these men. I was refused a refund both my Apple and Zoosk. The greater concern is that Zoosk had not care for how I was concerned about this functionality. I would never recommend this site and if you are concerned about your privacy in any way. Customer support is awful as well.
Not advised!
by Chertl on 2018/07/12 18:36
I found that this website does not actually match you with anybody. It was a nightmare of an experience. In addition, you cannot view someone’s profile when in carousel! I don’t want to answer whether or not I am interested until I can see what the person is like and where the heck they live! I am extremely disappointed that when you do cancel your account, your profile remains active for all of those to see! Talk about feeling vulnerable and violated! The best part... if you cannot get into a real computer to be able to access the desktop version, you CANNOT deactivate your account, you can only “pause” it for a set amount of time! That’s right people, your information remains with Zoosk and will AUTOMATICALLY reactivate after set amount of time! I feel that this is a try violation of my privacy! I would NEVER recommend this site to ANYBODY!
Fake profiles

There is no way in Creation, you have a girl / young lady / woman reach out to you, stating I would like to learn more, drop me a line. You sign up and all those ladies are then MIA, never responding even when you pay for the free replies upgrade. I was on for a month last year, never met anyone so I dropped it. Starting receiving multiple messages and after replying to over 20 of them not one word. Two weeks of signing up, after replying to some posts nothing. Now you may be thinking this dude must be ugly, gross, looser or something but I am not. Ladies want a funny guy, good personality, tall, w all their teeth, drama free, enjoy the outdoors, like to travel, some want you to have a car / home / financially stable (go figure right lol 🤣🤪) and I’m all that and then some. But really 2 weeks again and nothing? Even w free text replies just in case the ladies do not want to sign up yet. I am starting to notice, the posts w light green dots may be the fake profiles, there is no substance / descriptions and according to this site, 85% of the women are in the medical industry lol Nutshell, save your money and try another site. This site is poorly designed as well. And FYI, this may be only the 2nd time, in my life, I have rated a 1 star or less. I want you to save your money. Sincerely, Bo Krejci
False advertising

When you look at who has “viewed” you, it sends the other person a notification that you viewed them! Even if you don’t click on their profile. So now when I get a notification that someone has viewed me, I’m afraid to look at it because even if I’m just scrolling through without clicking on anyone’s name, it will tell them that I’ve been looking at them when I haven’t. I emailed them about this problem and got a generic response telling me how to tell who’s viewed me. I emailed again and got the same response. So now I’ve got all of these guys thinking I’m checking them out when I’m not. When someone is interested in me, they show his picture without telling me where he is or letting me look at his profile. I have to answer yes no or maybe about being interested in order to see who he is. Nine out of 10 times he is over 100 miles away.
Deceptive tactics and fake profiles
by IIH QMHP on 2019/01/15 00:37
1) Fake “you’ve been viewed” notifications. Have to sign up for paid subscription to see. When you look at your “viewed” tab, you’ll see that those profiles are not there. 2) Fake profiles to make you think there are potentials dates in your area to entice you to sign up for paid subscription. 3) As you “smile” or “heart” fake profile, the profile will send you a computer generated message and you will receive notification. To read the message you have to sign up for the paid subscription. 4) Fake messages. The messages all say: “Hi, if you want to chat with me send me a message.” “Hi, thanks for the greeting. What are you up to right now?” “Thanks for the greeting but I prefer messages.” And “If you location isn’t (it inserts your location) than I will not likely respond.” 5) If you ask for a refund, they will ignore your email.
Horrible site!
by Jsaxinnd on 2019/01/21 13:03
This is the second or even maybe the third time I have tried this site. I am really tired of the false viewing notifications it gives. I have had in one case one lady that lives locally and she seems to view my several times a day and yet never says boo to me in a message. I do not like the false profiles this site has. I feel this site does a whole lot to give someone false hopes. And their "security" screening is a joke. I have received SEVERAL "views" with pictures of women that say they are, for example, end of their late 50s or early 60s and there are pictures show a lady, or should I say a girl, there can't be any older than 30. And then on top of that the picture shows a telephone number and says text me at such and such a number. And I say something with a somewhat negative tone and they won't approve it. So don't waste your money here.
Nobody worth the most money!!!!
by zooskisscammingu on 2018/10/06 00:56
This site keeps all the women from your area on here to get you to spend your hard earned AMERICAN dollar!!! Guys don’t do it. Save your money and buy a Fifth of Crown Royal instead. The women want the exact same thing you do BUT won’t respond to any messages, oh wait they aren’t on line! Even their Chinese women that answer the phone can’t help!!!! She offered me $5.00 off my next subscription if I want stay, even though I had homosexuals posing as women when they have something for gay men!!! Stupid I ask the Chinese woman to give to me for free and she I can’t do and I said where do you get a 4.9 out 5 when your site is bogus!!!! And of course no answer!!! UNMM IT’S A SCAM GUYS!!! Don’t about the ladies how this site is for you girls.... but I read that the girls get a lot of pictures from trashy guys sending penis pictures....LOL ALL YOU DOUSHBAGS, that screw it up for the rest of us!!!!

Nothing is free
by jfroggi on 2019/04/19 13:02

Renewal
by ashleymp1229 on 2019/04/15 18:28
I have tried to cancel my renewal of Zoosk multiple times and have been unsuccessful.

The worst app ever

Terrible site, really really bad
Worthless if you don’t pay
by Nasmgirl on 2019/03/14 10:03
I don’t believe in paying for an app when they get plenty in other ways from advertisers.
Vote down this site
by bob bob lou on 2019/03/13 12:24
Zoosk is all mirrors. They send people to you that live 100 miles away. And when you do start to find someone, the only way to keep communicating is to pay Zoosk more money. It doesn’t stop, total scam. Start a conversation and they have a wall built up and unless you’re going to pay more money, your communication with someone will END.
This site is a joke.

by Beautifulnove on 2019/03/12 05:07
My first time online dating and I paid for a 3 months subscription and I make it clear I want a long term relationship/marriage.
Run away!

by reviewthisnickname on 2019/03/11 11:57

Horrible app
by agTeach87 on 2019/03/03 07:00

Fake profiles
by Meekone123 on 2018/03/24 19:11
There is no way in Creation, you have a girl / young lady / woman reach out to you, stating I would like to learn more, drop me a line.
