Great App
by Rgib5420 on 2019/11/13 13:40
This app works great and loads fast. A very interesting way to see what an individual flight is doing, if you’re following a loved one.
Map colors
by bclm135 on 2019/11/10 03:02
Don’t like that planes were changed to yellow, much prefer blue, easier to see
Example of a truly wonderful app

This app is both beautiful and useful. The holy grail. The details you can see in the app are amazing. 5 stars!
Latest upgrade a step back
by conspiracy1998 on 2019/11/08 20:07
Latest Update: Ignores most of the small aircraft and helos flying over my house. This app used to show everything in the air except military. With the update, most small general aviation aircraft now don’t show up. Extremely frustrating. I’m sorry to say that the latest update has screwed up what was a really cool, easy to use app. Little stuff that has degraded its usefulness. Like: The location dot no longer has the pointer on it. Old version, you could point the phone at the plane in the sky, and the pointer would swivel to the plane icon on the screen, so you could confirm plane ID of what you saw in the sky. That pointer is now gone. The plane icons don’t match up right anymore. I just had a 172 fly over with a 737 icon on the screen. Other little stuff that I doubt was beta tested, not awful, but definitely going backwards. Update: Another problem with new version, it’s not picking up small general aviation aircraft. I’m about 8 miles from Person County, NC airport and 20 or so from RDU. There are always small aircraft flying over, and the local hospital life flight helos go over twice a week or so. The life flights no longer show up in the app, and 80 percent of the small fixed wing aircraft aren’t showing up either. I just use this to ID planes flying over and it’s now no good for much of anything except airliners. What were you guys thinking? This was a really slick app and now it looks like an unfinished bug-ridden beta.
2 weeks it takes to working well

Fun with Flights!
by St. Aug. Sky Watcher on 2019/11/05 15:10
After sitting on my deck just a block from the ocean I no longer have to wonder who’s flying overhead and how high they are in that highway in the sky. I’m having just “plane” ole fun enjoying this AP and watching the amazing sky traffic jams and appreciating even more how they keep it all flying so smoothly. Thanks to all for putting it together. A Florida Plane Finder Fan!
Beware! The app now filters out planes
by NYYankee42 on 2019/11/03 23:55
Beware! The app now filters out planes on the radar. Planes that are blocked are no longer being shown on the radar, alerts or filters. Very poor choice by the developers and will no longer use.
Beautifully designed

A really powerful example of the iOS 13 HIG. Stunning to look at and easy to use. Has replaced FlightRadar24 on my phone.

Much more than an app. It’s a tool. Use it almost daily. It’s fast, accurate and simple to use.

Latest update totally ruined app
by Ms may44 on 2019/10/25 22:50
I now see 1/4 of the planes as before the update. What a disappointment
Got Worse
by FlyMatt on 2019/10/24 03:24
I used to LOVE this app, but after the most recent update I’m ready for a break-up. The map used to show thousands of planes and for some reason not nearly as many are tracked anymore. The North Atlantic used to be full of aircraft on the map and now during the peak hours there are barely any aircraft bearing tracked. I wish they’d switch back to how they used to track aircraft, because this latest update was a huge disappointment!
No longer need FlightRadar24
by NetworkDude on 2019/10/23 23:09
I've used this app on and off for for years, and can finally drop my subscription to FlightRadar24. Awesome job to the developers! My wife has become an AvGeek too, and is now also using PlaneFinder! See you later FlightRadar24! iPhone 11 iOS 13.1.3

Great app, enjoy knowing what’s over my house
by Tanuki*** on 2019/10/14 21:29
I enjoy finding out where planes came from and where they are going when I see them flying over.
Doesn’t show my flight.
by Trebills on 2019/10/14 09:08
Says my flight can’t be found or is out of range. Pretty weak for a paid app. There are multiple free apps that can track it fine
Useage
by 1542Z on 2019/10/14 01:59
Difficult to pick out individual flights. Need to use filters which I have not found. Still have to figure the app out. Can’t make it work!

Forgot something small on the map
by planepsotter098 on 2019/10/12 16:43
There was a feature where you can see where you are facing on the map with the little arrow. But this feature isn’t here anymore so I don’t know exactly which direction a plane is coming from. Can you bring this feature back? Btw this app is just amazing.

No longer accesses Location Services
by Rosea1 on 2019/10/11 18:24
Great app which I’ve been using for years, but on my iPad Air2 it no longer accesses Location Services so doesn’t default to my current location. I’ve turned it off and on, etc. but can’t get that feature working. Otherwise, the new version is excellent.
Bad upgrade
by ercdy on 2019/10/11 12:59
Hate the small, yellow planes. Very hard to look at anything.
Information Missing
by Alex & Gracie on 2019/10/11 01:54
I have enjoyed your app but the flight origination and destination is missing now. To me this is important information and it would be good to add this information back. Thanks
Awesome
by 4x4Xtrm on 2019/10/10 17:56
Awesome app. A couple of requests though: Before the recent update, my location used to be displayed by default every time I loaded the app, but now I have to press the arrow each time to display my location. Not a huge deal, but it would be nice if this could work the way it used to in a future update. Also, would it be possible to add a button to open the highlighted plane in Plane Finder 3D, just as there is a button in Plane Finder 3D to open the plane in Plane Finder? Thanks, and keep up the good work. Update: the location dot bug is fixed with the latest update - thanks.

Awesome
Works great
by Gerry246 on 2019/10/09 03:48
I have used it twice for following plane’s from point A to point B. It was fun tracking the rout, and it helped me twice on departure to final destination, so I knew what time I had to leave my home, so I would be at the airport a head of time.
New graphics
by jtvr4 on 2019/10/08 22:24
The new graphics make it harder to identify the planes. Go back to the old days
Once again developers degrading a useful app.
by broadband00 on 2019/10/08 13:03
The new version offers considerably less visual information than the prior versions. Why was the carrier information eliminated? Also very poor choice of color scheme detracts from the visuals. I’m extremely disappointed with this version. Once again developers degrading a once very useful app.
Cargo flights
by FedEx pilot on 2019/10/08 00:48
The newest version dropped the origin/destination of cargo flights, so it’s not of much use to me now.

Useless
by AllthingsDubstep on 2019/10/07 00:18
It blows. This app used to work well but now it’s terrible. I got a new iPhone XS Max and wanted to track my girlfriend’s flights as a pilot at her new job, flying a jet. No dice. I want my money back.

The Best Airplane App Out There!
by An Actual Traveler on 2019/10/05 06:26
The update is terrible.
They really messed this thing up
by Elibibse on 2019/10/04 20:18
This was a great app for airplane buffs. Since they updated it to make it “better” even though there was nothing wrong with it they totally messed it up. In the past it tracked a flight right down to the ground, Now it tracks a flight for a few seconds then turns into a white dash line and stops giving information about the flight. It also used to give altitude and airspeed down to a thousand feet on approach to an airport. Now it stops giving info below 2,300 feet. Thanks for the crappy update.
Learning curve with updates
by Otic9000 on 2019/10/03 17:07
Yellow planes were a letdown. Much harder on the eyes than red. Once I switched my map to hybrid it really cleaned it up and made it MUCH easier to read. Should probably be default setting. Lots of cool tricks in settings. Thank you guys for an awesome app. Truly my favorite. Could never really get into the 3D version. Is there an update coming for that as well? Thank you!
Excellent app
by Xms3200 on 2019/10/01 11:55
Bring back Google maps and the older style logos for airline identification just like you had in iOS 12.4
Disappointing
by LaueaOguus on 2019/10/01 01:40
After the new update, the Google Maps feature is missing. and the planes do not look nice on the map - they are now a cartoon yellow? I wish I could go back.
Keeps bugging me for a rating
by lashepX on 2019/09/30 14:01
Keeps bugging me for a rating even though I’ve already rated it three times before. It’s as if they are just trying to goose their ratings.
Loved this app but...
by Blondiebachus on 2019/09/30 13:04
....I don’t like the changes. The maple is harder to see now. The planes are too small and aren’t animated as well as they used to be.
New update
by TheInFamousAP on 2019/09/28 18:15
The app in all is great, I use it for work most frequently but with the new update it’s harder for me to locate the aircrafts now since they’ve changed to color

We use it almost every summer night when we sit out here in eastern Iowa USA. Have gotten friends interested and they purchased also. Great fun and fascinating to see where planes going! Many good improvements. Recommend this app to everyone!
Bring back the old version!
by Rocky the Bull on 2019/09/25 20:30
I used to be able to launch app, quickly scan about where the plane would be and see the carrier logo, click on plane and find the flight. Now I have to create filters? For all the airlines I track for people? Go back please!
4 Stars Respectively
by Battlestar5 on 2019/09/24 21:20
Nice Fresh Coat of Paint with the newest update. However, one of the most prominent features disabled by the developer a while back was the Tilt to Horizontal View on both the Map & the AR. I really wish they’d bring that feature back. 4 Stars Respectively.
Not functional
by PaulInRealLife on 2019/09/20 22:57
Don’t spend your money on this one!! The real-time tracking is a cool feature, but otherwise this app is a complete useless. The search is appalling. I tried searching for Oakland airport. Typing in the call sign didn’t even pull up the right one. This is really basic stuff. Couldn’t find or get it to track a future flight at all. Not by flight number. Airline route. Nothing. I wish I could get my money back.
Version 13.0.0
by Comgear on 2019/09/20 01:35
I like most of the features and new look of the upgrade. I don’t like the fact that the My Location button no longer has a pointer on it that enables me to point at a certain plane which helps me visually locate the plane and I do not like the visual of My Location button having a circular burst effect which is annoying. Make it to where that effect can be turned off. Also I find nowhere in the settings where I can turn off the tracking trail behind the aircraft. When I click on a certain plane I don’t want the solid tracking line to appear. Make a way to turn it off please. I do like the new plane colors and this version seems to track faster and more accurate. Thank for the upgrade.
Mehhh 🤔
by JDRT on 2019/09/19 11:36
We have three aircraft with ADS-B and it rarely is able to track any of them even when I know they are flying. App is lacking to say the least.

What’sNot To Like?
by Elbow Aches on 2019/09/12 20:28
Living near a smallish commercial airport, a huge airplane plant and a multitude of military flight bases, this is really fun. Planes overhead galore and now I can ID them. Best case scenario: late afternoon as the sun sets, glass of wine, backyard and this app. What’s not to like?

by Never In. Millikn Years on 2019/08/31 06:44
An awesome app in a million ways. Tracking the big boys the A380’s all the way down to police helicopters in the city. A 17:00 flight, you got to be kidding. Amazing how they fly the same routes, stay away from storms, and how higher they go up instead of cutting across the planet. Shortest distance between two points, they find it. Real fun to watch. I track any family member traveling so the rest of us know where they are!
Love it
by Teacher Cheryl AKA "Gymmy on 2019/08/24 21:49
I LOVE IT Honestly the 3D one is cool to but not being able to see aircraft type and all that is crap I don’t like it to much but this one has definitely earned 5 star
Upgrade is a downgrade.
by CC hater on 2019/08/22 00:20
The only reason I use this is to identify random planes. And the paid version is worse than the free for that.

What is up with this app? I have used this app for some time now. I have had a time that it was 5star for me, But as of late most of the aircraft I tap on have no info. I click on the support icon and it just opens the app! Right now the app is not doing all it used to.
Unbelievably free - great app
by Frisky pigeon on 2019/06/17 21:30
We live under the take-off path of Charlotte Douglas airport (depending on the wind, of course) and the planes come over at a little bit over 1,000ft. It’s so cool to be able to identify them and see their destinations and origins. We don’t usually hear or notice them inside the house — unless it’s a 747, but we only get one or two of those a week. Even A380s are very quiet. Wish Concorde was still on the go.

Good but not seeing real time data like on ADS-B Exchange
by AggiEgyptian on 2019/04/17 22:15
Could be great if it were tapped into a real time database like ADS-B Exchange. There are certain aircraft I track that have incomplete or not history shown in plane finder but can be found easily in ADS-B Exchange. I need complete data for my purposes.

Worst app on the plane..
by morel224 on 2019/03/27 00:17
Worst app I have ever installed in my life.. VEEERRRYYY slow and not at all worth a single penny. Don’t waist your money!!!! It won’t show you any flight tracking if your “out of range” Just go on flight aware.. can’t believe I waisted money on this. Not at all what it advertises You type in a flight number and it won’t show you where it is. WORST app available
Inaccurate info
by townland on 2019/03/13 06:19
I’ve used this at an airport and elsewhere multiple times and consistently the information displayed is incorrect. Planes are shown where non exist, and planes that are taking off, landing, or just flying nearby are rarely identified. Another app I tried had much more accurate (though definitely still flawed sometimes) information. Not really acceptable for an app that costs this much.
Not accurate
by Rayanr56 on 2019/03/12 17:30
Most of the tracking airplane data like speed, location and altitude are wrong!
Used to be a great app til they changed things
by Pej_really_angry_customer on 2019/03/06 15:23
Me and all my pilot colleagues I work with purchased the app because it once allowed us to filter the traffic between two specific airports. Being a private jet pilot it was very helpful to see what routes all the airlines are flying considering winds and weather. Especially for routes like New York - Los Angeles. Unfortunately the developer changed the filter setting a few updates ago and now this functionality is not available anymore. Now, when you set the filter to departing traffic New York and landing traffic Los Angeles, it won’t show you the traffic between those specific airport. Instead, it will show you all traffic departing New York to anywhere and all traffic landing Los Angeles from anywhere which makes the app useless for me and my colleagues who purchased it extra for that purpose. Unfortunately the support team was not interested in my request providing the previous filter functionality and wouldn’t change it back. I guess I’ll look for alternative apps and try to get a refund from AppStore since the functionalities that were there when the app was purchased were taken away later..... What a shame....
Just Awesome!!!

Nice with playback
by Nicholas Fenton on 2019/02/26 13:06
This app has a lot of useful information. I love how you can playback historical flights dating back a long time ago, which is really convenient. I love how you can find the information just about anywhere. You can also playback flights from a long time ago, which is really convenient for trying to find out tail numbers of old flights. However, there's only one thing I have to say: aircraft that were retired back prior to June 2015 or so we're deleted from the database and won't show up anymore on playback. Specifically, I am looking for some FedEx MD-10s retired prior to June 2015. Is there any way to be able to see them on playback again? I had wanted to see them, but if not, I understand.

I’d like to give it a review, on my time, when I’m ready. Based on my use so far, it might even have gotten a four star rating. Unfortunately, the persistent badgering for a review makes me give it a two star rating for now.
Love it!!

Very accurate and allowed me to watch as the love of my life came home to me.
Does not work
by VeryFrequentFlier on 2018/12/27 01:57
This app consistently does not find flights. Free apps do much better. The app searches, does not find flights, asks you to set an alert and then sometimes finds the flight an hour later. Very annoying.
Great app

Great app
Highly suggested
by Afh 2016 on 2017/12/27 16:54
I highly suggest this app because, it has live flight tracking, and I will be honest it was a debate between a few flight apps but, I narrowed it down to this one and found that it provided the most information on the route as well as the aircraft and for functional purposes has no ads, is very easy to find flights, easy to find airports and is easy filter. It’s also very good because you can use the camera to see what flights are around you. I would highly suggest this app to anyone who wanted an easy well working and full of information app. It may cost five dollars but I think it’s worth it.
Only missing weather radar
by K-9 Pilot on 2017/07/07 17:24
I enjoy this app, use it to watch friends flights, was able to track flight changes which altered arrival times. The replay function is nice but I sometimes have problems getting a pass flight to play. I'd like to see a history folder or pull down to replay flights. The weather radar overlay could be an in-app purchase. For the money this app is so powerful! Hard to go wrong for what it does. Additionally I like to see the airframe photos and inclusion. It would be nice to see the ability to expand the airframe or registration search ability to work with some of the aircraft photo-banks online again even if it's an additional add on r in app purchase. I look forward to a developer response. It appears this developer is VERY VERY responsive to reviews having gone through most reviews of apps in this space this apps owner is the owner
Awesome
by 4x4Xtrm on 2019/10/10 17:56
Awesome app.
Fun, helpful app
by Kititis on 2017/06/08 20:41
Great App! Usually spot on, but when it does glitch it's a royal pain, thank goodness that doesn't happen often. Fun to watch, and very helpful when you need to check the status of a flight. My husband is a cab driver, so when he has someone flying in, I will track the flight so he doesn't have to wait very long. Just recently I downloaded the Control Tower app, so now I can watch the flights come & go while listening to ATC & the Pilot/Co-Pilot talking back & forth. If you enjoy watching planes & are curious about a plane you see flying... Then this is the App for you!
Poor performance and kissing or erroneous info
by Fototico on 2016/12/23 05:21
In my option Plane Finder and Flightradar 24 are the two top apps of their kind in the app store. This app (Plane Finder) used to be my go to app, but I have noticed that this app often lacks information on the flights or the information is down right wrong. Just a few minutes ago I randomly compared the information of several A/C flying over So. California in both apps. For example, one FedEx flight from San Diego to Memphis showed the wrong information in Plane Finder. It show that the flight was from Indianapolis to Memphis, when in reality it was going from San Diego to Memphis. A lot of the other planes had very little information. A lot of "N/A's" every where. Some didn't showed the airport of origen and destination of the plane. Again, it said "N/A" on both ends. By comparison Flight Radar 24 was right on with every flight. I have no idea why this app has such a hard time populating the flight info fields or with giving the wrong information for some flights, but as long as they don't fix those problems FlightRadar 24 is my go to app. By the way, I have both Plane Finder and Plane Finder HD installed in my iPad and both do the exact some thing.
Really well done with a couple quirks
by Perf14 on 2018/06/05 02:25
I really like this app. The only major thing it is missing is a weather overlay. It does have a couple of minor quirks that really don't detract from the overall experience. For example on filters, if you filter on DFW late in the evening you will see DL 84 enroute from ATL to CDG. Turns out DL 84 originates in DFW as a Boeing 717 to ATL, where a change of equipment happens and the flight number then continues on to CDG. Also, if you click on a plane icon sometimes it will show an aircraft type that is incorrect. For example, the other night I clicked on AA 945 enroute DFW>SCL and the photo on the plane was an A321, not the 777 the plane data said it was supposed to be. Lastly, if you click on history, frequently there are gaps and it will show you that a given aircraft flew from A to B and then from C to D but not how it got from B to C. Nonetheless, it is a great app and I have spent quite a few hours enjoying it. Highly recommended.
Drinking Game!
by iATWS on 2017/08/05 19:18
Fantastic App. Always wanted to know what was flying overhead and now I know. My brother and I track each other's flights when we're traveling and it is spot on with departure and arrival times, as well as location and flight paths. You can even turn back the date to see your own previous flight path. Also, Great fun at our family picnic. See a plane, guess how far away or what altitude is. Most wrong guess drinks. Iced Tea of course 😇. Or we do $5 bucks a plane. Made $35 two Saturdays ago. Really enjoying this App.
Great User Interface, but data is lacking.
by WalterFresno on 2017/07/01 13:38
I currently use another flgiht radar app on my phone and Ipad, however they don't have any app for the Apple TV, which lead me to purchasing Plane Finder. The user interface on this app is nothing less than amazing, a lot of thought went into designing the app, my issue is with the information of each plane. A lot of the time the app will only have information on the planes tail number and altitude / speed, it will say Unknown for airline and orgin / destination, where is the other app on my phone will have all that information. Hopefully it is something the developer can work on and then this will be a 5 star + app!
High "wow" factor - doesn't deliver
by 195pilot on 2017/12/09 11:11
When I first purchased this app, the "wow" factor was impressive. Plane Finder showed details on planes that were flying overhead, nearly real time. You could grab a snapshot of tracked raffia worldwide at any moment. It seemed amazingly accurate! After a bit of playing around with it, I really liked the app. Later, when I tried to actually use it to track flights I realized that it's shaky at best at that. Retrieving a flight's history is truly hit and miss. These comments apply to both Part 121 (commercial airliners) and Part 91 (general aviation, I.e., private aircraft). I've corresponded with customer support. Emails are returned and shortcomings acknowledged, but no commitments (yet) for fixes. I'd recommend waiting a bit to see if future releases improve the coverage and utility before paying for this app. It certainly has potential but falls short as of Oct, 2016. Update - December, 2017. No changes or improvements for the shortcomings noted above. An example of the poor architecture is that there’s no way to delete an aircraft you’ve searched for. Ever. Customer Support says that this is a recognized issue. No commitment to fix it.
I'm so disappointed
by Insanityboss on 2017/06/02 06:42
I really thought this app was going to be amazing but it's not honestly it gives you information you really don't care about like what days the plane gets used an where it has been all that crap but it doesn't tell you the gate it's going to an leaving from ,I search for flights all the time an it can't find it I have to create an alert just to wait for them to find it then when it finds the flight you click on it an then boom it losses it again this has happened to me so often I really regret buying this app I so wish I didn't you have free apps out there like flight view that's better an it even tells you the gate or you can use Google assistant to find it or Google now SMH don't buy this app you will regret it trust me
Excellent app
by BarbND on 2018/08/30 13:07
If you love flying like I do, then you might enjoy this app. Follow your favorite flight from conception to final approach. It might be time-consuming, but fun following different flights. Highly recommend this app. Excellent customer service. I had purchased the upgraded version on my iPhone because I like this app so much, but it wouldn’t download on my iPad. After several email exchanges with Mark, I was able to get the upgrade on my iPad. I want to thank him for his quick response.
Awesome Ap
by Never In.
Just Plane Awesome
by Ccc p on 2017/07/16 00:58
The radar on this app is freaky accurate. Sometimes it'll be a little bit behind but most of the time it's spot on. The app is jam packed with other features. Like where you can point the camera in the app at a plane and it tells you what it is, where it came from, where it's going, what the airline/aircraft type is, how many people are on board. This app is just plane fun and just a great app for aviation enthusiasts!
Not worth the money
by Useless 7755337 on 2017/09/21 20:49
I bought this app thinking it would be great, from reading all the great reviews. I especially like looking at the planes overhead that are landing at our local airport. The problem is, these planes do not show on this app. I have to go to a different, free app to see the planes. The other problem is that the Airports do not show up on this app either. The troubleshooting tells you to go to the settings and make sure the airports are turned on but the problem is there is no place under settings to turn airports on. You're better off downloading one of the free apps because you get more information than this particular app.
Thank you!
No data / wrong data
by 240Don on 2018/11/09 16:34
Information previously provided in Plane Finder has deteriorated significantly. Destination / departure info is frequently missing and sometimes non-sensical. Example: a plane departing Cleveland bound for Indianapolis should not be airborne over Middlebury, Vermont. A plane reported at 8,000 feet with an airspeed of zero? Currently more than 80% of the data for all single engine aircraft (as reported by the icon) will load no data at all. I used to refer to Plane Finder frequently, but rarely use it now. FlightAware tracks fewer aircraft but has more flight data that usually makes sense. What happened to Plane Finder to make it so unreliable / not believable?
Wife’s Flights
by strathoy_01 on 2018/07/12 18:18
My wife flies from our home in Beaumont, Texas to Tampa, Florida (vla DFW) twice in a year. I find interesting and reassuring to be able to track her flights in real time. I find the best tracker with plane details is ”Plane Finder”. Even as I'm writing this, I’m tracing her flight over the Gulf of Mexico. ”Plane Finder” has the best tracking maps and details of any other tracker I’ve found.
I can Fly
by Ima Flyboy on 2016/10/14 20:06
I'm a pilot and being one means that whenever a plane flys overhead, I can't help but to look up and wonder "What type plane is it and where are they going?" This app with a little imagination can put me in the cockpit. There are a few problems with tracking the international flights that cross the Atlantic once they come into the "Grey area" after passing the Moncton airspace. But still lots of fun especially sharing with non-pilot friends.
After a ton of research...
by I need to tell you... on 2016/10/17 04:03
Edit: I gave this four stars (reasons below) but after using it for a day, I have found no less than 6 flights that when looked up have completely incorrect departure and arrival cities. But when checking a free app by flight aware its right 100% of the time. For a paid app I'm disappointed in the lack of detail and quality. I downloaded and researched 4 flight tracking apps. All had their highlights, even some free ones that hold their own. But I chose this one because of all the current features of iOS, watchOS and tvOS they support. By far the best at that by a long shot. Feedback: I would like to ask 2 things. 1) when you click on the route icon it should show traveled and yet to be traveled. So the "complete line" from departure to destination. 2) add an option to overlay weather on the maps. But great job and keep supporting all the new and best features!
Amazing App!
by CaliforniaDreams2018 on 2018/11/28 04:48
This is an amazing app! We have a lot of air traffic and it’s so interesting to see where everyone is headed etc This App has never crashed once in the 6 months I’ve used it. The camera feature is amazing! I never buy APPs but made an exception for this one. So glad I did! Download this app you will be glad you did!
Quick on X, international data useful
by drjz on 2018/06/30 18:14
Only used a few times but it is quick on an iPhone X and shows international flights. With an idea of where a flight should be, you can actually find it in the map with the carrier flag and an airplane icon that approximates the real thing (size and number of engines).
Annoying in-app promotions even if you pay
by BradGess on 2018/03/29 21:42
Great app excerpt every time I open it, I get this huge pop-over that says, “BUY 3D PLANE TRACKER!!!!!” which I already own. Please just remove this out of respect for people. If you insist on badgering people to buy more of your apps, let them hide this forever or detect if they have purchased other apps.
Horrible
by multipleangles on 2017/11/08 03:33
After this most recent update, I haven’t been able to track the planes I had saved before and rarely come up. Can’t actually search for certain airplanes as the search can’t find any type of plane. Save the money and just use the web page
Love it.
by omgsghsleepover on 2017/06/09 16:58
As a child I would always stare at planes and wonder, "Where are they going? Who is on that plane? I wonder what their life is like". Now I pull open this app, it tells me what kind of plane it is, where it's going, when it's going to land, how high it is, all kinds of other fun things. Endless entertainment for a kid obsessed with planes.
Fun Ap
by ShopperMo on 2016/12/17 02:32
I enjoy being able to identify and track planes I can see from my deck. Since there are three major airports nearby, I'm able to watch various routes and landing patterns for each. There are occasionally a few quirks (freezing) but it's not enough of a bother to lower the rating.
Love this
by Curiousnomad on 2017/11/09 03:40
I love this app! I bought while staying on Long Island near JFK. I was wondering what planes were flying overhead and where they came from. Oh- that was an Air Emirates Airbus coming from Doha, Qatar to JFK. I look at flights I’ve taken, track routes, etc. JFK to Bejing? Now over the Arctic Ocean in a Boeing 737 built 4 years ago, arriving in 8 hrs. Well worth it IMO.
ATC Approved!
by Uncle Pop @ ZOB on 2018/05/27 14:26
As a retired air traffic controller, I find this the best app available. Other than not depicting the altitudes of all the aircraft in a screen shot, or depicting the jet airways, you can’t beat it. Absolutely fantastic with all of the information this app provides, it‘s just as if I were behind the scope again.
Got Worse
by FlyMatt on 2019/10/24 03:24
I used to LOVE this app, but after the most recent update I’m ready for a break-up.
Lots if fun
by Asinine1929 on 2016/10/28 10:25
If you've e ever looked at a plane in the sky and wondered what kind of place that is our where it came from or where it's going, you can have fun with this app. I've seen some meaningful updates since I began using the app. I wish text was larger but a lot of fun.
This is a blast!
by zia17 on 2016/12/25 03:02
Now while I haven't verified the technical data of this app, I have to say that my family and I enjoy it very much. My 5 yr old son in particular. He has been absolutely tickled at the Santa tracker as the big guy makes his stops all over the world. Thanks!
Love it
by Icantuseit on 2018/08/28 04:00
Might be silly, but I love knowing what’s going over my head. Plane Finder is the best. Not only can I tell where it’s from and where it’s going, I also can tell what make and model the plane is. Did you know Fed Ex is really busy getting our order delivered after 10PM?
Can't find flights recently
by Wook'em on 2017/03/14 11:09
This was a very cool app when it worked but in the past couple of months, it was unable to find several flights that I wanted to track when family members were flying, specifically on Southwest and American Airlines. Not sure if it's a change in the way those two companies are numbering their flights or what. Hope it gets fixed soon.
Love the app
by mike3701 on 2019/09/27 15:05
We use it almost every summer night when we sit out here in eastern Iowa USA. Have gotten friends interested and they purchased also. Great fun and fascinating to see where planes going! Many good improvements. Recommend this app to everyone!
Love it, but...
by Trytotravel on 2018/01/11 09:13
This app works well generally and I can happily recommend it. However, they use the same symbols for arrival and departure - easier to track airline flights because you know where they’re going, but tracking by registration works without giving the direction.
Eyes on the sky everyone
by MegaMMC on 2019/01/31 06:41
Interesting to see what you hear in the sky - many inefficient and outdated jets cruising around the skies. Great way to test your sonic skills. How many cargo jets? How many private jets? Listen closely - for what you can’t hear - say check out this App.
Great app!
by greenfox on 2016/10/09 19:57
Very fun! We're right in the flight path to DFW so it's great to track planes going over head and now knowing where their coming from, and where their going ! My only complaint is it freezes up sometimes.
Would be 5 if they got rid of the irritating ad when you launch it
by Township75 on 2018/07/13 22:04
This is the only app I have ever paid money for I don’t regret buying it. It works almost all of the time and is fun and now I know the flight paths to the major airports that go over my house
Great! (though... )
by DRTN88 on 2016/10/13 21:16
Love this app. Well worth the money (and I don't buy apps lightly). I'm on a major flight path, and love knowing who/what is overhead. Yes, there is some lag, slight flight misplacement, non-reported craft, or other. But I chalk that up to the source data and not the app's interpretation. I don't use the VR (I carry a compass instead).
So much fun!
by firewalker2015 on 2018/08/16 12:14
When I bought the app, initially it didn’t show me any airplanes, but the next morning everything worked perfectly. I’m not sure why that happened but now that it works, I love this app!

Great App
by Rgib5420 on 2019/11/13 13:40
This app works great and loads fast. A very interesting way to see what an individual flight is doing, if you’re following a loved one.

Don’t like that planes were changed to yellow, much prefer blue, easier to see

Latest update totally ruined app

See you later FlightRadar24! iPhone 11 iOS 13.1.3

by planepsotter098 on 2019/10/12 16:43
There was a feature where you can see where you are facing on the map with the little arrow. But this feature isn’t here anymore so I don’t know exactly which direction a plane is coming from. Can you bring this feature back? Btw this app is just amazing.

by Rosea1 on 2019/10/11 18:24
Great app which I’ve been using for years, but on my iPad Air2 it no longer accesses Location Services so doesn’t default to my current location. I’ve turned it off and on, etc. but can’t get that feature working. Otherwise, the new version is excellent.
Bad upgrade

Information Missing
by Alex & Gracie on 2019/10/11 01:54

Awesome
by 4x4Xtrm on 2019/10/10 17:56
Awesome app.

Works great
by Gerry246 on 2019/10/09 03:48
I have used it twice for following plane’s from point A to point B.

Thank you!
Excellent app

by Blondiebachus on 2019/09/30 13:04

Mehhh 🤔

by Elbow Aches on 2019/09/12 20:28
Living near a smallish commercial airport, a huge airplane plant and a multitude of military flight bases, this is really fun. Planes overhead galore and now I can ID them. Best case scenario: late afternoon as the sun sets, glass of wine, backyard and this app. What’s not to like?

An awesome app in a million ways. Tracking the big boys the A380’s all the way down to police helicopters in the city. A 17:00 flight, you got to be kidding. Amazing how they fly the same routes, stay away from storms, and how higher they go up instead of cutting across the planet. Shortest distance between two points, they find it. Real fun to watch. I track any family member traveling so the rest of us know where they are!

Wish Concorde was still on the go.

by morel224 on 2019/03/27 00:17
Worst app I have ever installed in my life..

Awesome
by 4x4Xtrm on 2019/10/10 17:56
Awesome app.
Fun Ap
by ShopperMo on 2016/12/17 02:32
I enjoy being able to identify and track planes I can see from my deck.
Lots if fun
by Asinine1929 on 2016/10/28 10:25
If you've e ever looked at a plane in the sky and wondered what kind of place that is our where it came from or where it's going, you can have fun with this app. I've seen some meaningful updates since I began using the app. I wish text was larger but a lot of fun.
