They “just alright”
by Timmy T. BOS -> SD on 2020/10/23 20:45
This app is awesome. Just read the fine print and if you book something, you book it. Make sure it’s the correct hotel and correct dates because you will be stuck with it! (Made that mistake 2 times, won’t be a 3rd) But I’ve used this app almost every day for the past 5 - 5.5 months and have received a room or found one that is either the cheapest or the best room for the price. 50-60% of what a room normally goes for. Not too shabby
False Information and unacceptable customer service
by ecffruhg on 2020/10/23 18:41
Filtered to dog friendly hotels and booked with Hampton. Late cold night, old dog, traveled all day. Was told upon arrival dogs not accepted by hotel manager. Had to book elsewhere. Called Priceline four or five times after being told each call they would reach out to hotel to get refund. After last call was told they tried Hampton twice without reaching the proper person, and it is Priceline policy to not refund after trying twice. Not sure how you can get away with providing false information that requires you cancel a reservation, give it minimal effort, and call it good with no refund. Also I am (will never use Priceline ever again) a Gold member - loyal for booking for years. I am curious - if it was some other amenity that was critical for a guest that they misrepresented, would they treat you the same? What if it was a safety issue that resulted? Seems like all sorts of serious issues and never mind terrible service by committing this misrepresentation and then taking no follow up by hotel as reason for calling it quits. Shame on Priceline.
Great to use and gets best deals

Fake prices

Always offer a discount price but never available. Then you start over and prices are double. Last time using Priceline after 20 years

DO NOT USE
by JGenson on 2020/10/20 04:15
Had issues on a recent trip at a hotel so I checked out early. Expected Priceline would stand by and take care of their customer. Customer service is TRASH. Do not waste your time with this company. 10-19-20 Jordan Genson.
I can’t believe it
by vanecars on 2020/10/20 00:58
I have used Priceline for many years to book any travel related accommodations. I have booked hotels stays, and air travel; never had an issue. Earlier this year before COVID-19 ruined our lives I had booked 2 plane tickets and now I will not be using them because I cannot travel and I have lost my job so I really need my full refund back and they just keep telling me due to airline policy they can only offer me a travel credit. Sadly I need bills to pay and I cannot pay them with travel credit! I have been trying to get a refund on this for over a month and nothing. I get toss around like a ping pong ball, call here call there let me transfer you. I understand that in “normal” times a credit is fine but we are in a world pandemic you would think they would be more helpful. So sad that after using Priceline for over 5 plus years I will never use them again.

Love Priceline!
by Msjenita08 on 2020/10/18 12:49
I’ve used Priceline after seeing their fun commercials throughout the years. I love the Express Deals. I can match up my ideal hotel with the Express Deal and get the hotel I want. I’ve used it for the same destination twice and each time I got the same great room.
Long time customer
by Robyn Falconbird on 2020/10/18 11:31
I have been a loyal customer and user of Priceline before there was ever a smart phone or an app and it was really only ‘name your own price.’ The service has always been fantastic and the hotels, cars, and flights we have reserved have been exactly as described and always discounted lower than any price I could find online. I trust the company and app fully that they will stay true to the business model: connect me to unused rooms/seats/cars for less money. Yes, this has restrictions, including no cancellation, but that is the model and when I need to be able to cancel or I have no flexibility in dates or times, I use other traditional services. I have used customer service on several occasions and have always received prompt, friendly, knowledgeable service, although we have been through the growing pains with them becoming a large corporate entity and noted that customer service is not as nimble as they once were. The app is easy to use and works flawlessly.

Will not let me use Apple Card
by BTurner0108 on 2020/10/17 22:20
After multiple times of trying to use the app to book different rooms in different locations, it never lets me use my Apple card check out for express pay. I have checked with Apple Pay and they do not see where a charge has tried to come through. I have chatted with customer Service from Priceline and they said it would have to go through their website. What’s the point in using the app when I can’t use express pay?

Worst/ Horrible
by gunshi2 on 2020/10/17 01:41
Can’t get a hold of anyone, won’t refund on a crappy motel they set you up for, to which had bed bugs. Deleting the app, and being a commercial driver will never recommend them to other drivers for use. Prices are actually cheaper at the motel then they are through Priceline.
Amazing I love the APP. My go to travel companion app.

Ugh
by Lo Lissette on 2020/10/16 19:54
I should just keep using Hotwire. Priceline isn’t what it used to be. I searched an area relentlessly (Brea, Ca) and it only showed 3 hotels to book with and without the express deals. Assuming - since I didn’t see any other hotels- that I would get one of the 3 as an express deal I bought a 3 1/2 star. It wasn’t any of the hotels they listed on their site. But it was one I had seen on Hotwire and was avoiding. Needless to say I’ll just stick with Hotwire.
Awesome deal . Nice hotel

I’ve stayed at this hotel a few times. Nice location, clean safe comfortable Thanks Priceline
Great for last minute travel
by LuvMisandry on 2020/10/16 13:51
Let it be known that the Express Deals ARE A GAMBLE, so only book when it truly doesn’t matter what you get. I’ve used Priceline for years and only had a few issues when it comes to when they accidentally overbook a hotel or send the information slowly. ALWAYS GET TRIP INSURANCE, if you can. Otherwise very budget friendly app. I will continue to use it faithfully!
Love it

by Sc4rPhace on 2020/10/16 00:26
Learn from me because i lost $80 booking the wrong day after i thought I selected the correct dates for the hotel and tried to get a refund from the hotel but they have a Non refundable policy non modification so now i spent $80 for nothing and spent another $90 for the correct date
Stop changing the prices at the last min!
by K.O.320 on 2020/10/16 00:07
I like the cheaper rates that Priceline has! The only issue is that quite a lot when I go to book a room the price will have increased which is frustrating! It is still cheaper then most other offers but it is still not right to change the price at the last min.

Express Deal Scam!
by NycVilla on 2020/10/14 12:32
When you get one of these Express Deals, they send you to a Broken Hotel. My experience has taught me that the deal hotel is always under construction, so they don’t offer all services. But I stupidly keep coming back for more of the idiot deals. E.g. I just got back from a 4* Hotel “Deal” in a Tired Marriott Hotel with No Bar, Food, Room Service or even an extractor in the bathroom. That is not a 4* Hotel! Use the Priceline app to find the hotels in the area and get a Price guide, then just go to that Hotel’s Website, they always price match. When you book through the Hotel directly you get a good room, breakfast and loyalty points, but with Priceline you get the worst overflow rooms in the hotel and the staff treat you as a second class.

Unable to change occupancy
by xxbboyerxx on 2020/10/13 14:31
I booked an all inclusive hotel deal for 4 people but realized this app does not allow you to change occupancy and is only allowed to do 2 per room, there's no way of changing this. Also you can't use the bundle feature which is wack. Made my experience extremely frustrating

Horrible Customer Service
by ralphazusa on 2020/10/13 01:25
Priceline found us a good rate on a standard size car in Las Vegas with Ace rental. I obviously booked since they were the best deal. Once I showed up in Vegas to pick up my car, the Ace rep couldn’t find my reservation, once he found it he only wanted to offer a SUV (for two passengers) since they were out of small vehicles, and my rate was going to be higher (he couldn’t even wave the up charge per the inconvenience). All this took about 25 mins!! I told them to just cancel and refund my card! It’s been 9 days and no refund! Priceline is not even available to speak over the phone and they take forever to text back! I would NOT recommend this app or service!! At least for car rentals! Not sure about their other services. Just be aware of how they do business and definitely check their 3rd party reviews before booking!! (Which I didn’t do) Priceline if you read this, I still want my refund of $102.00!!!!!!

by Rmee63 on 2020/10/11 00:32
We placed our reservation several days in advance. Came in to check in and we were told they do not rent to local people. It is 3:30 on a Saturday afternoon and we had no place to go. Tried contacting Priceline at least 20 times and as soon as I told them my situation I was hung up on. We spent 2 hours 45 minutes trying to resolve mess and get a price close to what we paid. We have waited for a call from the “supervisor “ and told him the situation and he hung up on us. I know I don’t travel all the time but I will not recommend Priceline in the future.

Always over charge and customer service is never a help. Always a foreign woman with zero understanding. I evacuated for a storm only to get to my hotel and be told my check in time was 10 hours later that day. I have 3 small children and due to a Priceline mix up I’m out of $120 because I had to rent a room somewhere else immediately. Don’t book through Priceline

Beware of the “Pay Later” option
by $&83'djdinsk on 2020/10/09 18:02
Beware of making a reservation with the “Pay Later” option. Priceline/ Booking.com will cancel the reservation and attempt to tell you that it’s your fault. Months in advance I made reservations for my wife and I’s first anniversary and found an amazing price for Country Inn & Suites In Gatlinburg, TN. 3 days before our trip I was sent an email itinerary for our trip, when I opened it the email it said that my trip had been cancelled. As a result I was forced to pay the premium price being charged for that weekend. Customer service was no help and told me that I must have cancelled the reservation and refused to honor the reservation. Thanks for nothing Priceline, Booking.com, whatever the hell your called.
Wonderful app with coupons that never work
by itsartbyjo on 2020/10/09 15:25
I love using Priceline, it’s much easier on the App than trying to book through google and decide which websites will and won’t steal my information. I regularly get great deals and it’s very easy to browse my options. My only complaint is that I regularly get emailed coupons that never seem to work. I try again and again to use these emailed coupons, and despite being within the time frame for them I never can get them to work. Not a dealbreaker, however, I will continue to use this app for all future hotel bookings.

Would not recommend this app unless you love long wait times just to speak to a customer service rep. Not only do you have to wait on their call they are never shorter than 40 minutes. The app offers no features for you to extend the room or call Priceline for help. No number will reach a person directly. Terrible app!

More expensive than going to hotel directly
by Eleusia on 2020/10/06 12:30
Priceline charges about $22 more than if you were to go to hotel directly ($22 in booking fees). I know this because when I made a booking through Priceline, both the hotel and Priceline bilked my credit card. Then you have to call and wait online 26 minutes to resolve double charge.

by Mamarelle on 2020/10/06 04:27
I searching through the site and chose aCar for $30 a day. Also I was supposed to be able to have free cancellation and refundable I think it was just free cancellation. However once the reservation was completed my trip was nonrefundable it was not the price that I was supposed to get and it was not the deal that I had clicked on. Will tell friends not to use priceline it’s a scam
Assigned room/ unwanted crawling guest in bathroom
by Adalynn19 on 2020/10/05 22:31
Since I am a VIP customer through priceline, we arrived at our most recent stay and we were given and ADA room. We went back to the front desk to advise that this was a room for persons with disabilities and they moved us to another room which was also an accommodation for persons with disabilities. The staff appeared to not know the term (ADA). We had driven 300 plus miles and were tired, so we stopped arguing the issue. Just to be clear, this is the second stay where we have booked thru Priceline and we have been assigned to ADA rooms. The hotel explains that they are not supposed to change our rooms, the Priceline rep advised the nonrefundable, nontransferable, nonchangable reservation. What has upset me is why do I have to be given a room for handicap accommodation? What if someone checks in and needs that room and you placed me in it? That is going to be a site trying to explain it to the patron as well as whoever they file their legitimate complaint with. I am not seeing the VIP side of the offers through Express deals if I have to keep telling hotel staff that we don’t want or need an ADA ROOM! Also, we were out through the day to return to a geico crawling around in the bathroom. I was sooooo outdone when I saw it!! The desk did not even have any spray to kill it. We had to waste our disinfectant spray to try to kill it. This was not a great experience and was rather a big letdown!
Do not book with Thrifty!!!!
by wongjuk on 2020/10/05 18:31
This company is very shady and sketchy. They canceled our non refundable car rental on the same day as our pickup date. We had booked 2 weeks ahead of time to make sure that we didn’t have to go through the trouble. But since they canceled on us last minute we had to change all of our plans. We booked through price line and they were of no help at all. The associate that we spoke with was rude and not accommodating at all. We had to book another car on the same day and it costs us a lot more when it was not even our fault that the reservation was canceled by thrifty. We have been booking with priceline for years but after that experience we would never consider priceline ever again! We had to call again and again for our refund which should’ve been automatically sent to us. And mind you our car rental was non refundable which means that we paid in full ahead of time!
Don’t rent a car from Easirent Jacksonville FL.
by easirent on 2020/10/05 15:58
Rude manager, Easirents computer got the rental days wrong, it was 1 day different than Pricelines confirmation to me (which was correct). Easirents manager attempted to change the rental terms at the counter by charging xtra fees for picking up the car. I refused to pay the extra fees, Easirents manager refused to back off the extra fees so I canceled my reservation. Easirent is an off airport pickup location so it was very difficult & time consuming to get back to the airport. This is probably why Easirent tried their shakedown for more fees. Easirent is horrible & not easy at all. I was lured by their lower rental car cost.. I’ll never go back..save yourself the time & trouble.
Buyer Beware
by grump McGrumpy on 2020/10/05 12:48
Booked a car reservation on Priceline app and had to cancel due to COVID-related health issue of my spouse. Priceline granted a”one-time exception” to their no cancellation policy but then hit me with a 50% cancellation penalty. Pretty heartless move considering the COVID crisis. I won’t be booking any future reservation with this company. One and done!

Our sewer line broke and I needed to find a place for my family fast. I gave this a shot and it was well worth it. $40 for a room that normally costs $78 plus tax was a god send! I would recommend this to anyone. Thank you

This is unfortunately the second time doing this same dumb move; booking for the day on which I’m actually using the app/website, instead of the date on which I need the room. Thankfully, Priceline has always been great and the hotel I booked with, through them, had available accommodations. Fortunately I learned to contact them both before booking the correct day, and avoided having to wait on a reimbursement. I miss the days of “top-secret hotel” deals. That was always a fun thing with some Amazing rooms for the $$!! Thank you Priceline!!!
Quarantine Issue
by Pmg4224 on 2020/10/02 23:43
I booked the reservation to stay at a Westin in Dallas, TX around 2pm. My son had a football game scheduled, and we were going to stay rather than drive home in the middle of the night. At 5:06pm, my son finds out his teammate is sick and COVID+, so my son has to isolate for 14 days. The game is canceled, and we are obviously not headed to Dallas. Priceline states that the hotel decides whether we can cancel. The hotel manager states that Priceline has the money, and they are the only company with authority to cancel. They state that they have nothing to do with it. I have tried using the app to message after my original attempt, and the app is no longer allowing me to enter my responses. I have tried the texting feature, but there has been no connection with anyone after I messaged. I have tried calling Priceline, and they put me in a callback queue. They called after about 15 minutes and it immediately disconnected before anyone spoke. Now, I am in another queue...awaiting someone to help me with this reservation.
Priceline is my best friend.

I just love everything about Priceline and what they offer, except for “extreme deal” on discounts.
Once again Priceline. helps make my traveling easier and less expensive.

Maybe I should have given 4 stars for helping me find a good low priced hotel in Amsterdam because when I first started searching I found it very hard to sort through all the hotel choices and all the many locations and areas of the big complex city. Priceline gave me so many choices it was a bit overwhelming, and their map feature didn’t work very nicely or easily on my iPad. If you wanted to zoom out a little, suddenly you would have a map of all of Europe! So it took me some time to first figure out where roughly I wanted to be, and then used Google maps to see how far walking distances were to the train station and to museums or parks I wanted to see. But once I did that, Priceline helped me find a hotel with a nice big room with a big sliding door to a sunny patio balcony overlooking nice trees. Getting my second unexpected night here was very fast with Priceline and at same great deal as first night. Highly recommend PL to friends, and like any website you get better with it the more times you use it and know how to better use it.
Honestly Awful Customer Service
by youmanme on 2020/07/02 20:40
I am 19 years old. I’ve booked several hotels. Some I’ve been able to use others I was too young to use. Because some hotels require 21 years or older most apps will tell you this before booking. Well if you’ve ever used this app you know that using an express deal it doesn’t tell you the age requirements, the hotel at which you’re staying, or anything but the rating and a general location of the hotel. Well I am now out almost $300 because of this. I talked to the hotels and they told me that Priceline will refund me. It’s been a full week and I’ve yet to have anything close to a refund. Everytime I’ve called the customer service line it’s a two and a half hour wait. They give you the option to be called back and of course it’s either at an inconvenient time or they never call back. I’ve called over 30 times and yet have talked to anyone. You also can have a online chat with them, in which three different times they have ended the chat on me. Then the third and final option is to go through text message. That took two days to get back to me. Then guess what? They never answered me back and when I asked if they were still there I got the introduction message sent back. So basically they ended that too. Like I used Priceline because I thought it would be a good app. It looked great. But I’m highly disappointed. There are more than enough way for you to get a hotel room other then this app. Sorry Priceline, but you stink. :(
Usually cheaper to cut out the middle man
by SOG Irish on 2020/09/10 19:20
The first time that I used Priceline, I showed up to the hotel to discover that they did not have my room available. The computer system that they use doesn’t work well with that of the hotels so I was informed. Thankfully, the AMAZING people at the hotel (Red Lion Seaside) hooked me up with a better room and gave me a huge discount for the inconvenience of Priceline’s folly. They also informed me that they could give me a better deal than Priceline almost every time. So I took their advice the next time I took a trip. I checked the price that Priceline offered, and then checked with the hotel itself. Sure enough, going through the hotel itself I saved around $75, sometimes more. So I have started using Priceline just to find the hotels, then I book through the hotels themselves. Works great! More often than not, you can get a better deal through the hotels themselves. The only exception I have found is their price buster deals. But I always double check through the hotel before buying. Credit cards give the least hassle. Debit cards have funds held for awhile before getting squared away so just be aware of that. Also, any cancellations, Priceline takes their sweet time returning your money. But please, don’t take my word for it. Go check out a “deal” with Priceline and then check the price through the hotel and see what you find. I’d say you’ll thank me, but how in the world would you get ahold of me to do that?! ;)
Not to be trusted and does not honor sales
by Peter knuckles on 2020/04/30 12:06
When you purchase something online or by phone you have a trust that the purchase for good and services will be honored by the company taking your money. And when a company dishonors that trust by taking your money but then not providing the services or goods promised, most people would consider it fraud. Priceline took payment for airline tickets and then refused to refund that payment when the flights were cancelled. Seems like an easy response by a respectable company to send the money back, especially since it was no fault of the customer that the service wasn’t provided, but Priceline has chosen to keep the money. They claim it’s because of the Coronavirus and a lack of employees to provide the refund. There are literally tens of millions of newly unemployed people that could be accomplishing the job Priceline refuses to complete. You can use this app and pray things go well and you are provided the service you’ve paid for, but know that when things don’t go right, and sometimes they don’t, Priceline will not respect you and honor the trust you’ve placed in them by sending them your money. You’ll be gambling your money on a company with no honor. Priceline has since asked to “revisit my case for review,” standard response to make it look like it cares. I HAVE CALLED DOZENS OF TIMES TO REVISIT MY CASE! The only thing Priceline should be reviewing, is how it treats customers. Refund the money you owe.

I have been a loyal customer sense 2010, recommending their services to my friends and family. Over the past two years that has all changed . This is the 3rd time priceline has taken my money without giving me a service, leaving me with nothing. Priceline has pretty much screwed me over for lack of better words. On more than one occasion Priceline has had deals on there website and app that are not actually available, yet they they have charged my card leaving me with nothing now I have to wait 8-15 business days for my refund to be processed. Not only have they blamed me for not using a credit card next they blame the bank and I will be seeing my money back to me in enough time when all reality they need to take responsibility and update her apps they don’t have offers that are outdated. Not only will they Blame you for using a debit card but they will also blame your bank or the hotel before even beginning to take responsibility. When ever I have called there costumer service, they just blame blame blame, and do nothing to fix the situation or make it better, THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THERE CLIENTS. It’s not my fault I used a debit card it’s not my banks fault for having to refund MY MONEY it’s Priceline’s fault for having a deal that is outdated and still taking my money..I’ve given priceline so many chances but this is the last straw and stay away from Priceline. They have lost a loyal customer.
Horrible Customer Service
by DPhillips88 on 2018/01/10 17:00
I have used Priceline regularly for the last few years, booking hotel rooms through them several times a month. When there are no issues, they’re great, but the times there are issues make it unbearable. I booked a hotel using the app based on it being in a specific location, and being able to get a suite with a kitchenette at a great price. Once I received the confirmation, I realized that the hotel was located approx 20 miles away from where they showed on the map, and I had a reservation for a standard room. I was told by hotel employees that they had contacted Priceline several times regarding the incorrect information, but they had made no effort to change it. So after my family drove nearly an hour out of our way to stay in a room smaller than I had intended, I let customer service know about the incorrect information and requested a refund based on it. After a few communications with different CS reps, they have yet to acknowledge that the information was inaccurate, accept responsibility, compensate me for my inconvenience or correct the info on their site. They are intentionally deceiving their customers. Priceline’s entire purpose is to curate travel information to simplify the process for users. If I have to use other sites and apps to verify that their info is correct before using them, then they are useless to me.
Pretty good but room for improvement
by rabbit fox on 2019/04/01 12:00
I have used this app a bit and mostly everything is great. The only problem I have had though was that when you filter for hotels that are pet friendly you shouldn’t get to the hotel and have to beg for them to let you stay. I took my dog on a road trip and the first stop was after 15 hours of driving. We were exhausted and ready to go to bed, but when we got there we had to beg them to let us stay which thankfully they made an exception since I was able to show them where the listing showed them as pet friendly. That was stressful, but I was willing to let it go and call it a fluke until it happened again the next evening on the next hotel stop. Fortunately the lady at the front desk also took pity on us and allowed us to stay, but we have to sneak her in and out to use the bathroom and leave the hotel so the other people who work here won’t know she’s here so again very stressful. Please make sure that if you are assigning a hotel to someone looking for pet friendly that it actually is pet friendly
Don’t stand behind their service.

I have used Priceline for years and all over the world. I use to be pretty happy with their service and trusted their company and ratings. I recently rented a 3 star hotel in Alabama. The hotel was rundown, the customer service was terrible and the shower in my room didn’t even work. I tried to tell someone at the hotel about the shower but there was no one at the desk. I waited 15 mins. There was only a sign that said they were gone. This is was at 10 am and their check time is 11 am. I called the hotel and Priceline about the situation seeking a refund, since a shower is a basic necessity at a 3 star hotel. The hotel lied and acted like there was no sign, even though the sign was a hard sign with a base, which means they use it all the time. Then they lied and said the shower wasn’t broken. It was a simple shower easy to figure out. It just didn’t work. Then Priceline said if the hotel wouldn’t refund me they wouldn’t. Even though my card is charged by Priceline not the hotel. Basically they are saying we will do nothing to protect our customers or stand by our service. I was saddened that after years of being a loyal customer with no complaints that they could do nothing for me. I don’t know that I can trust Priceline anymore.
Long time user
by Old Timer 1958 on 2020/06/22 02:42
I have been using Priceline for about 18 years. When I changed my email address I lost about 16 years of my history. Once you learn how to use the app and the difference between naming your own price and taking an express deal it is very easy to use. When your name your own price or using express deal you need to zoom in on the map to the area where you want to stay. I was a little unhappy with my history went away because some hotels would reveal their name in the express deal offering if I had stayed there before. In some cities a hotel will charge a resort fee when they really not a resort. Most of the time this is revealed before you make the final purchase in the express deal option. If you are naming your own price or selecting an express deal I consider the addition of a resort fee to be dishonest and deceptive business practice. Since the introduction of the express deal option I find it harder and harder to get a further discount by naming my own price. I work in the travel industry so I most often use priceline for hotels.

by Robyn Falconbird on 2020/10/18 11:31
I have been a loyal customer and user of Priceline before there was ever a smart phone or an app and it was really only ‘name your own price.’ The service has always been fantastic and the hotels, cars, and flights we have reserved have been exactly as described and always discounted lower than any price I could find online.
Ripped off on hotel bid
by Debrabully on 2019/02/21 16:53
Bid on a 3 star minimum hotel in Orlando, placed a $275 bid and was placed in a Holiday Inn that was seedy, dirty, old and outdated. The room was dirty, body hair in the bathtub, stains throughout the rooms carpet, mold in the shower/tub gout and the hair dryer was broken. I emailed Priceline immediately when we got in the room, they didn't reply until a few days later. They replied that the hotel gave us free breakfast so that was the compensation accepted for the dissatisfaction for the room. The hotel text me asking if we were happy and I told her we weren't and explained the problems in the room, she text that she couldn't refund some of the room charge because we booked through a third party/Priceline so all she could offer is a free meal which we didn't use because it was a breakfast buffet at TGIF, gross. We spent with tax and fees over $300 for one night in a maybe 1 Star Holiday Inn when we were "guaranteed" a 3 star minimum room before bidding. For that money we could have stayed at a nice Disney resort which was the level we were expecting because of the 3 star minimum we paid for. Customer service was not willing to do anything to make this right so we will never be using Priceline again and will continue to tell everyone we can about how we got ripped off by Priceline.
Easy Interface - Great Prices - Great Customer Service
by IllinoisCountryBoy on 2018/03/11 23:20
I can’t say enough good about PriceLine and the App. I have used the service numerous times, so my review is based on all of these experiences. I alway check other sources for deals and I always find the best deals on PriceLine. I have used it for business and personal vacations. But what made me actually write this review rather then just rate the app, was my recent experience with their customer service. In a rush to get a reservation done while sick and mildly medicated, I accidentally made the reservation for the wrong dates. I needed it for a week later. Once I realized my mistake, I called PriceLine directly from the app. The service rep (wish I could remember his name) was professional and friendly. He contacted the hotel for me and confirmed that they could cancel the reservation for me (it was a special deal that was supposed to be non-refundable). I received the cancellation notice seconds after getting off the phone. PriceLine went the extra mile for me, and that is why I am writing this review and gave them 5 stars. Thanks again PriceLine.
Horrible Customer Service
by 🤡🎃 on 2018/06/29 08:37
I’ve gotten a great hotel on this app, but every other hotel I’ve gotten has sucked. Don’t do the express deals if you’re going to use the app at all, they’re never what they say they are. Even the guest scores are unreliable because somehow it shows they rated it well when the review they’ve given is something along the lines of “horrible customer service” “my car was broken into” “bed bugs”. When I tried to contact Priceline about a problem with my card, they insisted that the hotel would accept a card with any name on it for incidentals. The card I booked the room with had been stolen and they were saying that I wouldn’t have to show them that card, or even a card with my name on it, just any card, even after telling them that I have seen many reviews in which people were turned away for just accidentally leaving out their middle initial for the reservation, they just repeated that any card would be fine. I then asked if I could be refunded the money I bought the hotel room with so I could put it onto another card I could show the hotel, they copy and pasted the hotels refund and cancellation policy and ended the chat.
The best service EVER !!!
by awfuladvertisement on 2019/06/20 22:34
So I tried to book with Kayak , I tried to book my flight with TripAdvisor, and a couple others. Those two gave me the biggest runaround. TripAdvisor especially. They called me after I tried to book and said there wasn’t any flights at that price but could put me on a spirit air flight for the same price. Now I’m an American Airlines guy myself , or if flying over seas like this time , I will fly Japan Airlines or Korean Air. I said no thank you , stick that spirit air and I hung up. One last try , just one last try. I downloaded Priceline App and booked my flight in under ten minutes with no hassles and the price was like a hundred dollars cheaper. Same schedule and same airlines from TripAdvisor. Oh yeah and the guy from TripAdvisor told me in order to fly American Airlines it would cost over twelve hundred dollars. Nope , it was around a hundred dollars cheaper. Priceline flights ... Best Service EVER !!! Thank you Priceline. My flight to the Philippines is all because of you.
Horrible Service, Deceitful practices!
by jvaldivi87 on 2018/07/07 18:55
I bought a first class plane ticket, my credit card was charged and my flight status was booked. A month later (3 days to departure) the airline informa me that Priceline has cancelled my reservation and if I show up at the airport they won’t let me board. Called Priceline 13 times, I kept getting transferred and then their reps would just hang up on me while I waited. Then someone told me it was fixed, but on the return leg of my round trip, the airline tells me I was downgraded from first class to economy and made me pay for my bag. Again called Priceline and had to pay long distance rate and after 14 minutes on the phone the incompetent rep could not help me, I chose to pay for the bag so that I wouldn’t miss my flight because I had to show up for work the next day. Now I am giving Priceline another show, I tried booking a flight twice, the app gave me an error “unable to book but here are other amazing deals.” It didn’t book my trip (my flight does not show up in the My Trips section of the app) however I have two $1,200 charges on my credit card. Now I have to waste another 3 hours of being transferred with a dozen Priceline reps until someone is able to help me.
Express Deal Disaster/Avis ATL
by JJay80 on 2020/06/08 10:20
Very bad experience with renting a car through the “express deal” which wasn’t express at all! The system selected Avis as the provider and it was a complete and utter inconvenience! The line was 2 miles long! I had an appointment to make of which I flew in from NYC for. I called Priceline and asked if I could cancel the reservation and book another one through them with another rental provider. I explained my situation and how important it was and they said that they could NOT cancel it because the deal I chose had no cancellation. So basically, it was either stay in line and miss my appointment, or go to another counter and take the loss with the express deal that I could not cancel. Let’s just say that I made my appointment and loss almost 60 bucks. That was my 2nd experience with Avis and they both were absolutely horrible. Not only do they pick your car for you, but they are slower than time itself. I NEVER want to see that counter again. Priceline was very unreasonable in this situation being that I only wanted to cancel...only to rebook through them. Instead they just took my money and said “your loss”. Not cool at all.
Flights -5; Hotels- 4 and Car Rentals - 1; CS- 1 in Car Rental Issues
by Ladyjktn on 2017/12/13 14:47
I use often. Majority of the hotels have been great. Flights have been great! Car rentals have been several issues! In July 2017 car rental issue, I booked a car for Atlanta to pick up after my flight. The car rental place double booked cars out & there was no car... was on the phone with Priceline for over 3 hours of them trying to locate a rental car, why so long you ask - they kept putting me on hold for over 45 minutes at a time then switch me to different CS people. I was supposed to have been at my destination at 10:00pm and finally out of airport rentals at 10:30pm they placed in a 5x’s the amount I had originally booked a car for! They never reimbursed as they promised! I had a 3 hour drive to my destination, NO Priceline CS failed hugely! In May 2017, car rental issues in McAlester, OK. Car Rental issues in August 2016 in McAlester, OK. I don’t advise renting a car from Priceline.
Don’t use Priceline! They are a fraud!
by everydaytraveler on 2019/06/26 16:41
I was using the app and it has a glitch. I selected the correct days at a hotel that I was already staying at. We wanted to extend the stay one extra day. I went through the process and selected the same hotel. Everything processed and a confirmation was sent. When I reviewed the confirmation it had the wrong date. The date booked was the same day that I was booking it instead of the next day. Also, I was booking this at 8 pm at the hotel. I called customer support instantly. They said they have to talk to the revenue manager at the hotel. Then I talked to the hotel and they said good luck Priceline screws everyone over period. I spent that evening and the entire next day trying to get it fixed. After hours and hours of frustration and talking to customer service that can barely speak English they said TOO BAD! Hmmm. So they are telling me because there is a glitch on their end that it is my problem. They said it was my fault because I used their website. This is unacceptable. After read all of the negative reviews I wish I read before use long this incompetent service that will rip you off. It was total BS! Do not use this app or website!
Some Bugs to Fix
by Spopish on 2018/03/10 18:51
Their customer service is less than helpful. -I booked a hotel using the Name Your Price feature in the app for what I thought was the following night because we were driving home from our trip the next day. It charges your card right away, so I assumed everything was alright. After hours of driving we got to our hotel (that I thought I booked for that night) and the less-than-friendly front desk attendant said our reservation was for the previous night. I double-checked my app, and sure enough, it was booked for the previous night. I was sure I entered the correct dates when I booked. I think there was a glitch in their app. When I called Priceline to see about a refund, they were sympathetic and said they thought it was funny that the app let me book the room after midnight. When the customer rep tried to call the hotel, the hotel wouldn’t answer. Priceline wouldn’t give me even a partial refund. How often does this happen? How much money is this company making off their app glitches? I wouldn’t use this app. I guess the old adage of talking to a person is best in this situation and I think that’s what I’ll be doing in the future.

I booked my flight accidentally hitting the book flight key and then realized it was for the wrong month. Contacted Priceline and they were happy to assist me in calling both Frontier and Spirit Airlines and cancelling both round trip tickets while I was on hold. I was sweating it out but they came through for me cancelling both non-refundable tickets. I book through Priceline all the time and get the greatest deals after searching for a couple of days for flights that fit not only my budget, but also the times I want to go, plus non-stop. Furthermore, I just booked a full size vehicle through the express deal for the price of a compact. I checked out all other sites before and Priceline is the most reasonably priced, courteous customer care professionals, and most helpful of all the other sites. If you do go through Priceline, and listen to me, you’ll save time & money! “I can assure you, you won’t be disappointed!”
Getting better
by Nowimready2 on 2017/09/04 10:13
I've been using Priceline for 15 years. Express Deals are a great way to get into a moderate to fairly high end hotel for great prices! I had 1 issue a few months ago. I had driven with moving truck to move my daughter into her apartment. I was focused on moving her and didn't make hotel reservation for me. Finally, at 11:50 pm, I'm making reservation from my phone. By the time all was confirmed, it was after midnight and the reservation had automatically changed from the Friday night I existed in to Saturday night with no way to change it back. Done deal. I was exhausted from moving all day. I spent an hour and a half on the phone to the Philippines finally getting refunded but no place to stay Friday night. That sucked, but the hotel front desk gal (who got a raving review) offered me a blanket and pillow to stay on a couch in the lobby!! Beware scheduling a reservation around the midnight hour!
Don’t waste your money or stress, this company is bogus.
by J Rocko on 2019/04/01 11:20
I booked several times through them, and twice now they have failed to complete my reservations, I just had to pay twice at the same hotel, luckily the front desk ladies were nice enough to match the price, Priceline constantly gave me the run around after wasting an hour and a half, I finally just said enough, I’ll let my bank deal with you jokers, not worth the time or effort, if you find a good deal online 9 times out of 10, show the hotel they will match it or come close. Delete this app. To the developer who responded... It wasn’t a rejection, your systems failed to correctly place me even after I paid, front desk said there was a woman waiting in her car all night because of the same issue, take better care of people that’s all I can say pal, I don’t use fakebook or any social media, so I will respectfully decline...on a side note, when I disputed the charge through my bank(since your people gave me the run around) my claims department said they get more disputes from Priceline than she has ever seen, so I’m sure you are well aware of your shortcomings, I have nothing left to say on the matter, good day.
App woes
by Low Shoulder on 2019/07/06 14:13
Chose to use PL due to name recognition although other discount sites were priced about the same. Round trip Delta to destination Spirit from destination. The app failed to reserve our seats on delta and we assigned the last four seats on the back row. While in route the app does not indicate boarding gate, but emails changes which for this trip changed twice. Atlanta airport is spread out, and we just happened to check departures and noticed 30 minutes before boarding that our gate had moved from A19 to F9. No email from PL...... until we were boarding. Day before returning we received an email to check in on Spirit Air tried several times to check in, but never received confirmation. While checking in we noticed that if you wait until your flight Spirit will charge extra for checked luggage which is $40 per bag(x3), then we were charged $16 per seat (x 4). As of two hours after “checking in” still had not received our boarding passes and seat confirmations. Flying Delta, Southwest or United would have cost about the same plus the apps for delta and United seem to work very welll. Do not trust the PL app if you do not fly regularly.
Am in a Love/Hate relationship with Priceline
by KPI/CIB on 2019/07/13 14:09
I have been a loyal Priceline user for well over 10 years. I probably book from 50 - 75 rooms per year and every time I book, I fear that something about my trip might change. Priceline is super inflexible. Actually, they are kind of Bi-polar with a heavy bent toward inflexibility. On a rare occasion, I have been able to reschedule a room, or cancel a trip that has been changed, but for the most part, if something changes about your trip, just plan on no refund, no changes. It’s kind of like playing Russian roulette, but with four bullets in the gun. The other thing is that their prices used to beat anyone on the internet, and the bidding process worked wonderfully to get the best rate available. Recently, not so much. Prices are pretty much in line with almost every other company out there. So, if you like gambling with your money or if you are 100% sure nothing will change about your trip, then I would still use Priceline. But if there is even a small chance something might change, I would recommend someone else.
Worst app ever and hasn’t changed in years....
by sunpaw17 on 2019/08/16 00:32
Whenever you have stayed at a hotel, the app gives you deals to stay again and again, but it doesn’t let you do anything but accept whatever room they may have available for that deal and not any other room! “Room is guaranteed to accommodate 2 adults”. Ummm? So what about families? And WHY CAN’T I BOOK A DIFFERENT ROOM?! If you select the ‘choose’ button it takes you straight to a check out screen... great... I want to pick my room!! I need it to fit 5 and a lot of rooms don’t do that. I’m not just going to book. So I have to go to your website or better yet... NOT YOU. To book the room I want. Been like this for years... no one else complained?! I doubt it. Now your app is deleted, thank you for wasting my time yet again. Like the last time I paid for a whirlpool sweet and you just told the hotel I paid for a king and had to pay the hotel more money when I got there for it when I already paid you an extra fee over the regular king room for it. Sounds like it not uncommon and you are another apathetic business out there just waiting to scam others out of their money.
Nightmare

Oh if I could only give this app zero stars. I had a terrible experience attempting to book my honeymoon, of all things, through the Priceline app. I was told time and time again the flight I chose was unavailable and sent back to choose another flight, when in actuality Priceline was attempting to charge my credit card. I received no confirmations, no emails telling me there was a problem, and I never even reached the final step of booking. It wasn’t until my credit card company contacted me that I was notified of any attempted card activity. Priceline customer service insisted that the generic error for the app is “flight unavailable, choose another.” That alert was completely false in my case. I was assured all of the attempted charges would be wiped clean, but Priceline customer service said they could send no kind of email to confirm this information. I am incredibly disappointed and sad, because what should have been a joyous celebration booking a trip turned into a catastrophe. I have emailed Priceline once again to explain the entire situation and hopefully prevent this from happening to anyone else in the future.
Very misleading
by Promeg on 2018/02/13 13:04
Priceline used to be a great place to get great deals until recently. The Express Deals they offer seem to be a decent deal until you select one. First off, the hotels that they say are comparable to the one you’ll be getting are actually nothing like the one you receive. I booked a 3 Star express deal that they said would be comparable to a Marriot, Hilton or Hyatt and instead got a motel that I wouldn’t even rate over 2 stars. In addition to that, when I checked in, I was told I must pay an additional $34. Priceline had informed me at the bottom of the booking conditions in tiny print that there would in fact be a mandatory fee I would have to pay. My problem with this is why did they have to put it all the way at the bottom like they were hiding it and not put it some where people could actually see it right away so you know the true cost of what your paying for. When looking at reviews for this hotel, no one had anything nice to say about it except that it was close to Universal. How it’s a 3 Star hotel is mystery to me. When calling customer service, they were unhelpful and made me even angrier.
Long time Priceline user

I have been using Priceline and services similar since their inception. I am very grateful for the ease of use, the deals offered, and the constant improvements made. No, everything doesn’t always go the way I expect it should go but it always works out. Being a life long businessman and entrepreneur I can appreciate how much time, effort, and ingenuity go into the operations and service. I am also very appreciative of the helpful and patient customer service agents when things don’t go as planned, I could not do your job! For the people who post bad reviews for Priceline and other services like them, it might be worth lowering your expectations and look for the positive aspects of these tools and other conveniences available in our world. You might just start enjoying your life. Problems and complaints are always self generated.
No Protection Against Bedbugs!!
by kridten on 2018/06/17 03:33
My husband and I booked a hotel through Priceline so that we could attend my nephews graduation. When we arrived to the hotel, we found bedbugs on our room(some alive/ some dead). We notified the hotel staff and they refused to refund our money because we booked through Priceline. When I was waiting in the parking lot, another woman approached me and let me know that she had just found live bedbugs in her room and advised me not to stay. We knew it was not an isolated event. So, we called Priceline. They informed us that because the hotel management denied that they had bedbugs and they were not there to check that they could not refund our money ( it was a multi-night stay) I asked if they had any customer protections within their contact for live infestations and they said that they could not refund our money because the management denied the problem. We travel frequently (my husband is a pilot) and we will never use Priceline again. Thankfully, we found another hotel (not through Priceline) and they gave us a discount for our troubles. Priceline works for the hotels - not for the customers!!!
Horrible Scam Artists
by Good Bye Priceline on 2018/11/08 16:38
I have been a long time customer purchasing flights cars and hotels. I have always purchased the Trip cancellation insurance. Never needed it until today. Don’t do it folks it is a scam. The one time I finally need to change a flight and Priceline could not and would not help in any way. They sounded as if they were literally reading off a response card. I called several times hoping to get a customer service agent that would listen to the issue and try to help. Luckily I had insurance right??? One would think but wrong again. The only time the trip cancellation covers you is if you are on your death bed and in the hospital and even then you have to call them ASP in order to be covered. Very misleading. Don’t waste your money buy the better ticket if you think for a second you might have to make a change. Better yet purchase from the airline directly. Priceline told me yesterday they can’t help me they are only the middleman. Well time to cut out the middleman. Priceline you have lost a very good customer that purchases 10-20 flights a year, Hotels and rental cars.
Best hotel app
by Mark Napier on 2020/07/01 16:04
By far I love this app over the competitors I find that Priceline always has the better prices on hotels and the more you use it the better the prices and they have other features that lower your nightly rate by letting them pick the hotel but if you use it enough when using that feature you know what hotel your gonna get already because it’s usually the same one probably the only thing I dislike is when they say it will be one out of the four or five hotels we just listed and it’s always at least in my case always the same hotel no matter how many times I use the pick for me feature it’s never one of the higher end hotels at least in my experience but on the other hand I always know what I’m getting it isn’t a guessing game either lol so over all I love the app
Always “too late”
by powerpop25 on 2019/11/22 14:42
Lots of great deals advertised - but they don’t exist. There are some properties advertised that have been demolished. I clicked on them and they say “sold out” and I kept consistently getting that message regarding particular properties, no matter when or how far in advance I’d try to book. I tried to contact them, the numbers are out if service. When I finally booked with a different property (using a different service than Priceline - that frustrates me with their “sold out” and “too late” garbage) the other property told me those advertised on Priceline were no longer in business (for over a year and a half), and one was torn down and doesn’t exist! Another fakery: “let us choose and you’ll get a great deal.” LOL I entered various dates for up to two years. Nothing. If you don’t have it or can’t do it, DON’T ADVERTISE IT. The app does nothing, and is worthless. The one booking I made with Priceline I canceled. Why? Because they required payment up front (not problem) but I found a better deal that DID NOT require payment until the day before the stay. Priceline is a zero.
NEVER USE PRICELINE
by michele ford on 2020/05/27 06:47
They don’t even deserve the 1 star that I had to give to write the review. I had been using them for a month straight every night until 1 night I had made my reservation close to midnight right before I got there. It somehow got switched to the following day and they wouldn’t check me in until 3 pm. 15 hours later!! I had used all the money I had left on that reservation. So I guess they expected me to sit there and stare at the empty motel and room that I had already paid for until 3pm. A few weeks ago a hotel cancelled my reservation last minute and they were able to switch me to another hotel but fixing the date a few hours was out of the question. Finally after a round with the 3rd representative they gave me “Great news!” They decided to overlook the cancellation policy and give me a full refund that I should see in 7-10 business days. Yay me! I get to sleep a night In my car in the hotel parking lot! *BAD BUSINESS* They lost a customer that spent at least $60 a day for the last month and a half and ANYONE AND EVERYONE that I come into contact with.
Terrible!
by mcky12 on 2019/09/12 16:10
So I used toLove Priceline I use them to stay for two weeks in Atlanta had great service and great hotels everything was fantastic until I saw there was a charge on my card for a hotel in a whole different state so of course I called the hotel said there was nothing they could do had to call Priceline call Priceline customer care stayed on the phone with them for about 10 minutes arguing about the fact that I was having to pay for a hotel I didn’t even book and the woman kept saying she understood all she could do was send me an itinerary but couldn’t refund me my money or cancel the reservation when I kept telling her I did not book a reservation in a whole different state all she kept saying was I understand understand but obviously she didn’t because I’m somehow expecting to pay for a whole weekend in a whole different state that I didn’t even book so I just have to pay for a hotel I’m not saying and please tell me how that makes sense? So upset that this happened because I really liked Priceline but now obviously I can’t trust this company.
Great app could use a little tweak.
by What names aren't taken? on 2018/08/11 15:45
I book the same hotel off the app every week. Every week I type in the location I want. Every time it shows hotels downtown Dallas when they are 3 times the price and require a $20 Uber ride. I ask for specifics in the filter ‘distance from location’ and the first time I booked, a hotel downtown popped up I thought great and booked it. Only to find out it was not close and did not provide an airport shuttle as promised. I know first world problems, but I now know I have to scroll thru to find the hotel I want. I wish when I put in the neighborhood ‘area’ it would put that area first. And the filter does not really work because you say distance closest to and it puts you 10-15 miles away I guess those hotels must pay a premium to pop up on the top. Just a warning if you are not familiar with the area check the map, the filter does not work.
Not what was advertised
by Yomyname on 2020/01/07 01:58
I booked a hotel for seven days and I expected a hotel that was four stars with very good reviews but it when I arrived I was very disappointed. When I first entered the front desk was not welcoming at all. Then when I entered my room, it was not a room that is four-star worthy. It was very old-fashioned and seemed like a hospital. The bathroom didn’t even have a hood. The air conditioner was also very old. I assumed that all the hotels were like this around the beach since it was supposed to be a four star hotel, but my friend booked another hotel that was 3.5 stars and the hotel was completely different and of better quality than the one I stayed at and it was at a better price. I would also say that $80 would be too much for a night. Their room also had a beautiful view while mine didn’t have one. Their room was so much better and I’m absolutely disappointed as I trusted this app very much. I’m never going to use this app/website to book another trip from this app again and I was tricked into buying a hotel that was not accurately rated.
Don’t use this App - it will take your money.
by Master Lord202Boss on 2019/12/06 02:04
Booked a hotel quickly due to a deal I wanted. Realizes they allow pet (which I am very allergic even after a someone pet is long gone.) so I immediately tried to cancel that reservation and booked another flash deal for a pet free hotel. I couldn’t cancel via the app. I tried calling, they told me they would cancel and refund if they hotel was ok, I called the hotel, THEY SAID OK. I called Priceline back, they call the hotel and return to the call with me saying no they can’t cancel. Hotel says Priceline controls all reservations. Even though they could see the reservations were created back to back, they said no. The other scam is once you look at all the options you like and select a hotel, YOU CAN NOT MAKE A FINAL REVIEW OF ITEM:PURCHASE before you confirm like you do in online shopping. YOU CANNOT! GET A REFUND FOR TAP OF WRONG BUTTON 1 SECOND AFTER YOU PURCHASE NOR CHANGE TO A DIFFERENT DAY, NOR GET A CREDIT. Their customer service & supervisor have been trained to say no regardless of facts or issue. If you confirm a reservation, your money is gone no matter what.
Not the best deal/ will give you the deals that will ruin your vacation
by criscanbar on 2019/11/25 22:14
Second time i use this app & the last one. People!, this website offer you deals that once you sign up for them/ paid for them, the extra fees become a ripoff. A good example of this are the their alliance with FOX RENTAL CAR. This car rental company is a complete RIPOFF!!!!! Please do yourself a favor, and DO NOT rent a car with this company. You might think that you might be able to get a ‘’deal’’ through Priceline; however once you are in the counter, you won’t only have to wait in line for over 1 hour; they will also force you to add one insurance and hidden fees will come off , that you won't see until after you return the car. At the end of the day, you would end up paying 3-4 times more of what you were initially paying. Customer service is ok, people in the San Francisco airport location are rude to the point that they make you feel that they are doing you a favor. FOX RENTAL CAR= will ruin you vacation. Priceline and FOX rental car= conspiracy against them customer with fake deals
Priceline is horrible

This is by far by far the worst company I’ve ever dealt with online I asked for Google to give me alive customer service number they turn you over to a robot the same robot with the same voice I put in my name phone number email I totally registered and signed then I put everything I needed for a vacation the city I’m leaving from the city I’m going to how many days how many people age the ages of the people I put in I need our hotel and flights three different times I put it in very carefully and I pressed find it for me and they just sent me back the same page that I had never filled and over and over again and when I leftA written message that I was actually talking to a human being she didn’t understand anything I said didn’t register in my email or phone number which I had signed in with and said hello to RICHARD it had recognized me yet I’m trying here for 45 minutes to get a price on the flight and nothing works and there is no real human being to talk to goodbye Priceline you lost a customer before you even got one
Awful Customer Service
by Ryan Mack the cheap guy on 2019/01/26 01:40
Booked a hotel for Wednesday and another room for Thursday. My flight was cancelled Wednesday morning. I cancelled my rooms right away ON WEDNESDAY. They didn’t call to cancel until THURSDAY even though I called the hotel personally and got them to give the okay to cancel the room on Wednesday, but Priceline needed to make the call themselves...not me. I used that God awful chat system to give them the name of the account rep at the hotel on Wednesday, but again...they waited a day to call on my behalf...the hotel didn’t cancel my reservation...why would they? Priceline admitted it was messed up and they should have called that day, even though i did their job for them, but all they could do was just apologize while I ate the $100 for the room...oh...they did offer a 5% discount on my next booking. The customer service reps also didn’t really speak English well and I kept repeating myself. After over 5 hours on line and the phone all I have is a bunch of “sorry” statements, frustration, and $100 less in my pocket. They could care less about customer service.
Only a fool doesn’t use this app!
by Smith35387 on 2019/05/18 18:04
My wife and I travel quite a bit, particularly to Florida where our daughter attended college and just recently just graduated. She now lives there. We also travel overseas. Wherever we go, I would not even consider not booking though Priceline. After using other apps and even using points accumulated though the hotels themselves you will never save as much money as you do with Priceline. We are very particular where we stay and if you read the reviews of the hotels and weed though as many reviews of each hotel you can, (there’s always someone who has a gripe with something) pick one. I almost always pick their special deals as long as there is 4 stars and the reviews are mostly positive. Have been super happy with this approach! Give it a try, you won’t be sorry!
They don’t take ownership of their mistakes
by Kinzmom on 2018/09/11 13:07
I was using the app to find a hotel for a college visit for my daughter. I searched and found one on the date we needed for $90. I clicked book it and when the confirmation came through it had the current date, not the future date! Immediately called customer service. They told me that it was a no cancellation/no refund deal! (I know and I was ok with that when the app showed the right dates) she said There was nothing she could do! She said maybe call the hotel and see. So she “called the hotel” and said they would allow me to cancel and rebook for the correct date but the cost was $145! What?? Your app said $90 on the correct date now I either lose the 90 I have already paid or have to pay $145. Yes that was my only option. So because the app screwed up the date...I ended up have to pay an additional $55 for a room! I seriously will not use this app again! I could have gotten better rates through the hotel direct!!
Priceline comes thru again
by Older Dinosar on 2018/10/02 23:24
I only use Priceline for booking hotels but I’ve scored every time! In fact I don’t know when the last time was that I didn’t get a hotel thru Priceline. If you don’t have any friends or family with connections to big hotels and you don’t like to pay double for a room and you don’t like to book days or weeks in advance in case your plans change and you’d like something better than a Motel 6 or Super 8 then go thru Priceline. I’ve booked the actual hotel I want or used Express Deals and have always been happy with the results... well ok there was that time in Kanab Utah where we got an awful room but what can I say, it was Kanab. We’ve never had problems checking in or getting help in getting 1st floor rooms or rooms near elevators for my handicapped hubby.
Very Disappointing
by THillSix on 2019/10/23 20:08
I and my family have used Priceline and other booking sites in the past with no issue. This week I attempted to book an Express Deal through Priceline, upon the first attempted I was given an error message saying the site was having issues and to try again later. Over 12 hours later I go back to try and book again the same deal is still being listed and after a couple more attempts and multiple error messages, none of which said the deal was unavailable, I contacted customer service. They essentially told me that they couldn’t do anything about the issue and deals listed on their site will typically remain even when they are no longer available. Why would I continue to use a service that does not have correct or updated information, on top of that I was very disappointed in the service I received on this issue not once did the representative apologized for the inconvenience or wasting my time instead simply said this is just how their site is. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS EXPERIENCE.
Priceline Credit Card Rewards - ISSUE after ISSUE
by Bug28122 on 2019/09/18 20:32
I have had the Priceline credit card for 4+ years now and have booked hotels weekly for work trips and I am very disappointed in this company. I have booked so many times through the app/website and often times never received my rewards points because the payment wasn’t needed until the arrival at the hotel. When you don’t pay through the Priceline you don’t get the points. I then pay with my card at the hotel and still never get my points. I have made cases and have many case #’s but never get the points I deserve. I have trip #’s and proof that I booked through the app that should allow me to get the points. Well the lack of customer service never understands this issue and I am left with 0 rewards for using Priceline. I think the easiest solution is to make this an issue and have your IT dept. figure out this reoccurring issue or for me to never use Priceline again. What’s the point in having the Priceline credit card when I don’t get rewarded for using Priceline?
Long time user... I’m done with Priceline forever!!!
by flying fish 2008 on 2020/08/09 07:01
I booked my hotel & I received a confirmation from Priceline. I used Apple Pay to book it but when u I got to my hotel, they said they were sold out. We were in Santa Barbara and nearly everything was sold out. Priceline (Booking) blamed it on the hotel $ the hotel blamed it on Priceline / Booking. Strangely, the hotel had a completely different credit card than what I used to book the room. I called Priceline and it took nearly 30 minutes to get though. Then they said they would have to contact the hotel to make sure I was telling the truth and that they were truely sold out and that I would have to call back in 30 minutes to see what they said (which takes nearly 30 minutes to get through) ...my night is just ticking away because of their incompetence. DON’T USE PRICELINE!!!!!! I’ve used them for nearly 20 years and I’ve had several bad experiences with them lately. They’ve gone way downhilll!!!! Terrible execution and horrible service!!!!
Long time customer, very disappointed

I have been using Priceline for YEARS. I’m a hairdresser and I tell all my clients to use them as well. It had always been my go to. Not anymore. About three weeks ago I accidentally booked my hotel for the wrong weekend and called as soon as I clicked submit, realized it too late! So I called customer care. The lady was sweet. She said that she email the third party company to see if I could change the date or have my money be refunded. Mind you, I didn’t want to cancel or my money back, just to change the dates. I was willing to pay the difference. I called on a Saturday at 11ish pm. She said I would hear something back in 2-3 business days. I called back on Monday just check that my request wasn’t being forgotten. The gentleman told me that I should hear something by Wednesday or Thursday. Friday came (day before the accidental reservation) and nothing. I called and they said that the company had not replied to them. I called Saturday and the gentleman that answered took my number and went into action and said he was going to call that other company and get them on the ball right away. He calls back and tells me that I will get an email in two business days. It has been over a week. Nothing. I have email customer service. And nothing. After using them for my hotel stays for so many years, I am deleting the app and taking my business elsewhere. I feel ignored. I was patient and I was nice.
They can be great if they want to be.
by Tony Andrin on 2019/06/15 22:42
Priceline has for the most part treated me pretty good. They have had issues for when you need to call customer service to deal with a problem that you’re having or By accidentally double booked for triple booking to get a refund can be pretty hard. They can give you a real hard time about it. They usually make you call the hotel that you double booked and ask them if they could cancel the reservation for you because Priceline won’t. What I wish Priceline would or could add would be for us to be able to use our rewards numbers for the different hotels and car rental and air fare programs offered. If they were to do that I would not have any reason to use anyone else at that point and Priceline would be the only app I would have. Thank you More then 500 rooms booked

They “just alright”
by Timmy T. BOS -> SD on 2020/10/23 20:45
This app is awesome.

DO NOT USE
by JGenson on 2020/10/20 04:15
Had issues on a recent trip at a hotel so I checked out early.

What’s the point in using the app when I can’t use express pay?

by gunshi2 on 2020/10/17 01:41
Can’t get a hold of anyone, won’t refund on a crappy motel they set you up for, to which had bed bugs. Deleting the app, and being a commercial driver will never recommend them to other drivers for use. Prices are actually cheaper at the motel then they are through Priceline.

by Lo Lissette on 2020/10/16 19:54
I should just keep using Hotwire.
Nice hotel

I searching through the site and chose aCar for $30 a day. Also I was supposed to be able to have free cancellation and refundable I think it was just free cancellation.

Customer Service and their venues are A+

Priceline is horrible
by hdmkom on 2019/04/05 22:24
This is by far by far the worst company I’ve ever dealt with online I asked for Google to give me alive customer service number they turn you over to a robot the same robot with the same voice I put in my name phone number email I totally registered and signed then I put everything I needed for a vacation the city I’m leaving from the city I’m going to how many days how many people age the ages of the people I put in I need our hotel and flights three different times I put it in very carefully and I pressed find it for me and they just sent me back the same page that I had never filled and over and over again and when I leftA written message that I was actually talking to a human being she didn’t understand anything I said didn’t register in my email or phone number which I had signed in with and said hello to RICHARD it had recognized me yet I’m trying here for 45 minutes to get a price on the flight and nothing works and there is no real human being to talk to goodbye Priceline you lost a customer before you even got one
