Upset I have a coupon code from Priceline it wouldn’t accept it, I just got it emailed today. Tried calling never was able to speak to anyone and I been trying to chat but it was a 7 minute wait. They only had 3 rooms available so I went ahead and booked it without a waiting the 7 minutes to chat with anyone because I was scared they would book those 3 rooms. This was the only issue I had no biggie but if I can save I like to save really wish I could’ve used my coupon

Absolute disaster of a company. Butchered a reservations and then refused to fix. Customer service told us there was nothing we could. My wife is 6 months pregnant in Florida and was stuck with no rental car. Absolute garbage customer service on the phone. Have used them for years will never use them again.

I tried to book an advertised express deal this morning and after going through all the booking and payment screens, I discovered the deal was no longer available. I tried again a few minutes later and the deal was still advertised, but once again I was not able to purchase it because it wasn’t really available. I ended up paying more for he deal, which smacks of a bait and switch. I was in a bind today and had to book, but I won’t be so eager in the future. I will look to other booking sites.

For the most part I’ve had good experiences. The first bad experience was a 3 star hotel,per Priceline, in MN that was really a 1.5 star per the hotel. It was so rundown, but I should have researched through the hotel before booking. I thought it was probably a fluke and didn’t give it another thought until this past weekend. I booked a hotel...based not only on stars, price, but mainly the shuttle to the airport. Hotel was nice, price was good...shuttle nonexistent except on Friday and Saturday after 3 pm. My flight left at 10 am...so I had to get a cab. So, from now on I will research the hotel on the hotel website and I will never book a best deal since there is no way to verify any information, and I can not trust that Priceline is providing accurate information. The difference in the price after having to add the cab, could have gone somewhere closer and possibly nicer. Now I know.

So my daughter had a sleepover at this hotel I booked a room through Priceline once we get to the room I was shocked to find out nothing was as it said on the website at the holiday inn or on Priceline the staff were rude and kept lying to my family as if they didn’t want us at the hotel we felt as the staff were being very biased I am still waiting for Priceline to give my money back it was supposed to be in 24 hours it is now three days later I will never go out to that hotel again

The hotel wasn’t really the problem it was Priceline didn’t notify the hotel that I had already pre-paid. The guy at the Counter when I checked and didn’t want to look that the money had already been taken out of my account and insisted it was just pending. The following morning I went down and another lady fixed it for me and so far everything appears to be fine. The problem was when I tried to contact Priceline. I received no response back after leaving messages and I’m still waiting for that call.

We have used Priceline for years and always been happy. Until recently. Long story short I booked a room for one night in order to take advantage of the hotels pool as my 10yr old son’s mom had an unexpected neurological event the week prior and remains in ICU. I only mention this to quantify the importance of our one night vacation. We checked after dinner at 8 and were told the pool was not operational. Not had it been for months. My son was crushed. I was furious. Hotel said sorry but you have to get the refund from priceline. So after 3 attempts to get someone on the phone and bring out on hold for 10-15 minutes before being disconnected I FINALLY spoke to someone today. They refused to refund me the full amount even though they lied on the website about the pool AND we didn’t even stay the night!!! The agent I spoke with, Franco, said the best he could do was 15 bucks. When I asked to speak to his manager he said I was wasting my time and would only get the same response. I understand the fine print and know they legally don’t have to give me anything but I would think they might want to think about retaining customers instead of driving them as far away as possible. The best part is when I got the email saying I would see the 15 bucks in 5-10 business days there was no way to respond to the email. And when I tried to get an email address for customer service via the chat function I was told that was not available but I could write to the management team. Then I was disconnected!!! With no address given!! I do not recommend this app or this company at all.

My wife and I travel quite a bit, particularly to Florida where our daughter attended college and just recently just graduated. She now lives there. We also travel overseas. Wherever we go, I would not even consider not booking though Priceline. After using other apps and even using points accumulated though the hotels themselves you will never save as much money as you do with Priceline. We are very particular where we stay and if you read the reviews of the hotels and weed though as many reviews of each hotel you can, (there’s always someone who has a gripe with something) pick one. I almost always pick their special deals as long as there is 4 stars and the reviews are mostly positive. Have been super happy with this approach! Give it a try, you won’t be sorry!

We have had a few terrible experiences with Priceline. The most recent one was when they double charged us, sent us to the wrong hotel and then refused to refund event the double charge claiming that all sales at non refundable. Never will do business with them again.

I recently traveled 10 through the Pacific Northwest. I’ve always used Priceline for all my travel needs. Come to find out at one location I they charged my credit card for room payment and took the Priceline payment as well. Come to find out that the hotel normal rate was much less then the rate Priceline charged. Priceline 100% best price guarantee is only available up to 24 hours after you book. Well hell who stops to ck charges or rates until the vacation is over. I have used Priceline for years with the upmost confidence in the best price guarantee. I have been scammed by Priceline and I’m sure others have as well. To all you review readers out there on the web just know that Priceline is not the 100% best price as they claim.

Would rate this higher but if there are some errors when performing the actual purchase of airline tickets. You have to start the flight search over (at least on iPad mini iOS 12.1) if you encounter an error (The purchase button doesn’t submit after an error has been corrected). The expiration date that is stored on Priceline and what is displayed is different (at least when I used my Priceline credit card logged into my Priceline account), this caused the problem I refer to in my first issue with the app. Then when sending email of the travel plans from the confirmation screen did not have a send nor cancel button so I had to terminate the app then restart it to find my reservation to send an email of the details.

Priceline is asking for a lawsuit. The application is not accessible with screen readers, used by individuals who are blind. A violation of title three of the Americans with disabilities act. Sadly, this app used to be accessible one day. Try to explain that to a judge. That is your 30 day warning. After that, a complaint is forthcoming

Booked a hotel via Priceline app more than 24 hours before our trip and got a confirmation email. When we reached the hotel at night, the hotel employee told us that they have overbooked and canceled 10 reservations without even a courtesy call to the guests informing about cancellation. Called Priceline and rep offered 2 options: Option 1 was canceling our original booking for a refund and Option 2 being finding us a comparable stay at another location. We were traveling with an infant so we requested relocation to another place. Priceline Rep told us that he was transferring us to relocation expert and our call was transferred. I was on hold for another 1 hour and 10 mins before so called relocation expert picked up the phone. He looked at available listings for all DFW area for another 30 mins to tell us that he cannot find us a place to stay. My question is if you cannot offer a relocation please don’t even offer that service because you are adding inconvenience to a guest who already has a bad day because you cannot secure a reservation in the first place. Your relocation offer cost me another 2+ hours over the phone with Priceline. At the end I still was left alone to find my own hotel at 2 am. And what kind of steps do you guys take for hotel who overbooks and causes inconvenience to your clients. At least as a paying guest who has already paid in advance I expect a courtesy phone call from hotel or Priceline about cancellation. This experience caused me to think 10 times before using your Services again in the future and I will definitely warn my friends and family about such a downgrade customer service provided by Priceline. Poor customer service and careless attitude of Priceline, please be aware before you start your travel call the hotel directly to confirm you booking and don’t rely on Priceline’s booking confirmation.

We paid one of their Express Deals for a 2 1/2 star hotel. We got an absolute dump that wreaks of cigarette smoke, is filthy dirty, disgusting! Whole second floor room wiggles when my husband shook his foot up and down. Bed linens are dirty, bathroom has what looks like blood on the cabinets. I’m itching all over & have bites on my back. I’m not sure it’s due to mold or bug bites! Priceline stands behind their 2 1/2 star review for this hotel even though its 1 1/2 on Yelp. It’s super gross. The ceilings even in the halls show water damage. The emergency lights look like they've had a leak above as well. The ac unit makes all kinds of dying moaning noises all night. The bed feels like we’re lying on the floor. The floor is so gross that we won’t take off our shoes! I showered with flip flops on because everything is so gross. There’s hair on everything. Doesn’t look like this room has been cleaned out between guests. Pubic hair on bed sheets. The “breakfast” consists of breakfast bars & tiny muffins thrown in a basket. There’s never anyone manning the front desk. Priceline will do nothing about it. They keep saying that their standards are more strict than others & it’s a 2 1/2 star hotel. That’s absolutely bogus. Obviously this is an issue with Priceline because they’ve got a very detailed canned response for it! Don’t trust Priceline’s star ratings!

This company is absolutely horrible. The last booking I made, the hotel pictures on the website weren’t even the correct hotel. They sent us to a 3 story rundown hotel, but the pictures showed a tower of at lease 15 floors.

I flew, rented hotels and car with this app and I’m unhappy and regretting it because when searching through the app for accommodation I had ensured breakfast, parking were included, but when place was reserved, the hotel denied me those amenities. The hotel stated that they were a third party company issue and I had to contact priceline. When I contacted Priceline spoke with CSR and the lead, the lead in customer service promised that their manager will contact me and I have been waiting since mid April and No Call yet. They outright lied to me in Customer Service and did nothing to even follow up.

Priceline has great deals and their App, is great! I recently began my sign up with Priceline and had an awful experience with customer service from the moment I called, had to go through several personnel to speak with a Manager and then to GM who all said there is nothing we can do! Read on, while on the App and researching to fit my budget, with family aboard in truck, the book prompt was inadvertently hit and I immediately contacted Priceline, I was told there was nothing they could do! The one manager contacted the hotel and that hotel told them they would not refund money, then in an instant, the hotel now processed funds to draw off my account! The General management tells me he can not call the hotel to correct this, after wasted time with them, I contacted my bank to cancel my card and stop payment! Needless to say, I contacted the hotel in an effort to resolve, left info with staff for management to contact me, and of course they did not! I will do a review and name that hotel! As for Priceline, dealing with people like that, you should have standards for which you allow them to be part of your business! I would remove them from you postings! So, I booked a reservation for a car and received a confirmation from Priceline and the car rental company as well. Next day I get a call from the car rental company saying they don’t THINK they will have a car for me and will possibly not be able to tell me until I’m standing at the counter. Seriously? I’m driving out of town about 500 miles and have a deadline to meet. I then call Priceline “customer service” and through their agent and a supervisor they let me know they are not able (or interested by the sound of their voices) to help and just want to cancel the reservation. When I asked about why a reservation is not a REAL reservation, they blandly inform me that they do not have access to the car rental company’s inventory and have no idea whether a car is actually available when a reservation is made. Nor do they even make contact with the car rental companies EVER to coordinate. They just make reservations leaving the car rental companies to decide to honor the reservation or not. If the car rental company had not called me, I would have been out of luck; standing at the counter with my, uh, best intentions in my hand and no car. So I cancelled my reservation with Priceline, deleted the app and bought a plane ticket. Which was only a little more money than the car rental. Even on short notice. My summary: USELESS, RIDICULOUS, UNNECESSARY APP AND COMPANY! Caveat emptor!

We paid one of their Express Deals for a 2 1/2 star hotel. We got an absolute dump that wreaks of cigarette smoke, is filthy dirty, disgusting! Whole second floor room wiggles when my husband shook his foot up and down. Bed linens are dirty, bathroom has what looks like blood on the cabinets. I’m itching all over & have bites on my back. I’m not sure it’s due to mold or bug bites! Priceline stands behind their 2 1/2 star review for this hotel even though its 1 1/2 on Yelp. It’s super gross. The ceilings even in the halls show water damage. The emergency lights look like they've had a leak above as well. The ac unit makes all kinds of dying moaning noises all night. The bed feels like we’re lying on the floor. The floor is so gross that we won’t take off our shoes! I showered with flip flops on because everything is so gross. There’s hair on everything. Doesn’t look like this room has been cleaned out between guests. Pubic hair on bed sheets. The “breakfast” consists of breakfast bars & tiny muffins thrown in a basket. There’s never anyone manning the front desk. Priceline will do nothing about it. They keep saying that their standards are more strict than others & it’s a 2 1/2 star hotel. That’s absolutely bogus. Obviously this is an issue with Priceline because they’ve got a very detailed canned response for it! Don’t trust Priceline’s star ratings!

I have used Priceline regularly for the last few years, booking hotel rooms through them several times a month. When there are no issues, they’re great, but the times there are issues make it unbearable. I booked a hotel using the app based on it being in a specific location, and being able to get a suite with a kitchenette at a great price. Once I received the confirmation, I realized that the hotel was located approx 20 miles away from where they showed on the map, and I had a reservation for a standard room. I was told by hotel employees that they had contacted Priceline several times regarding the incorrect information, but they had made no effort to change it. So after my family drove nearly an hour out of our way to stay in a room smaller than I had intended, I let customer service know about the incorrect information and requested a refund based on it. After a few communications with different CS reps, they have yet to acknowledge that the information was inaccurate, accept responsibility, compensate me for my inconvenience or correct the info on their site. They are intentionally deceiving their customers. Priceline’s entire purpose is to curate travel information to simplify the process for users. If I have to use other sites and apps to verify that their info is correct before using them, then they are useless to me.

I booked a hotel and made a mistake in the date. Priceline refused to refund my reservation. I called in just a few minutes after my error, they beat around the bush saying they have to call the hotel, made me wait 5 days, no one called back. I had to follow up on my own just to be told they were not going to cancel it. I’ve used Priceline for many years and to extend that kind of garbage customer satisfaction is a slap in the face, especially considering this cancellation request was escalated a week prior to the reservation, this wasn’t a last minute cancellation request. I’ve always recommended Priceline to friends and family, now I’m going to tell people to go elsewhere for failing to meet expectations and refusing to help, they refused even after I told Priceline “I’m going to rebook right after cancellation, so you’ll still have my business” no they still refused, asked for a manager and refused. Priceline your incompetence and lack of customer care has now cost you a lifetime customer. You could’ve made tons more money on my lifetime loyalty and also gained even more customers through my recommendations, but you got greed and said you practically dgaf about customer satisfaction. I’d give you negative stars if I could. This industry is far too competitive for you to treat loyal customers that way.

Bid on a 3 star minimum hotel in Orlando, placed a $275 bid and was placed in a Holiday Inn that was seedy, dirty, old and outdated. The room was dirty, body hair in the bathtub, stains throughout the rooms carpet, mold in the shower/tub gout and the hair dryer was broken. I emailed Priceline immediately when we got in the room, they didn't reply until a few days later. They replied that the hotel gave us free breakfast so that was the compensation accepted for the dissatisfaction for the room. The hotel text me asking if we were happy and I told her we weren't and explained the problems in the room, she text that she couldn't refund some of the room charge because we booked through a third party/Priceline so all she could offer is a free meal which we didn't use because it was a breakfast buffet at TGIF, gross. We spent with tax and fees over $300 for one night in a maybe 1 Star Holiday Inn when we were "guaranteed" a 3 star minimum room before bidding. For that money we could have stayed at a nice Disney resort which was the level we were expecting because of the 3 star minimum we paid for. Customer service was not willing to do anything to make this right so we will never be using Priceline again and will continue to tell everyone we can about how we got ripped off by Priceline.

I can’t say enough good about PriceLine and the App. I have used the service numerous times, so my review is based on all of these experiences. I alway check other sources for deals and I always find the best deals on PriceLine. I have used it for business and personal vacations. But what made me actually write this review rather then just rate the app, was my recent experience with their customer service. In a rush to get a reservation done while sick and mildly medicated, I accidentally made the reservation for the wrong dates. I needed it for a week later. Once I realized my mistake, I called PriceLine directly from the app. The service rep (wish I could remember his name) was professional and friendly. He contacted the hotel for me and confirmed that they could cancel the reservation for me (it was a special deal that was supposed to be non-refundable). I received the cancellation notice seconds after getting off the phone. PriceLine went the extra mile for me, and that is why I am writing this review and gave them 5 stars. Thanks again PriceLine.

I’ve gotten a great hotel on this app, but every other hotel I’ve gotten has sucked. Don’t do the express deals if you’re going to use the app at all, they’re never what they say they are. Even the guest scores are unreliable because somehow it shows they rated it well when the review they’ve given is something along the lines of “horrible customer service” “my car was broken into” “bed bugs”. When I tried to contact Priceline about a problem with my card, they insisted that the hotel would accept a card with any name on it for incidentals. The card I booked the room with had been stolen and they were saying that I wouldn’t have to show them that card, or even a card with my name on it, just any card, even after telling them that I have seen many reviews in which people were turned away for just accidentally leaving out their middle initial for the reservation, they just repeated that any card would be fine. I then asked if I could be refunded the money I bought the hotel room with so I could put it onto another card I could show the hotel, they copy and pasted the hotels refund and cancellation policy and ended the chat.

Like others have said, issues aren’t resolved. This morning I booked a room but got the month wrong. The dates were correct. I contacted customer care chat within five minutes and asked if it was possible to change the reservation dates. They said there was a cancellation fee but would call the hotel asking them to waive their fee. No manager was available at the hotel to answer for 15 more minutes. I re-contacted PL chat 20 minutes later. The new agent read the info from the previous agent and made the call. While I waited fir an answer, I called the hotel directly and talked to the manager who had PL on hold. She stated that they had no problem waiving the fee but PL was unwilling to waive their commission. Mind you, this commission would’ve happened as soon as I made the new reservation. PL said there was nothing they could do, blaming the hotel. I asked what the cancellation fee was and the said it was the total I had paid for the room, which isn’t a fee of any sort. So, for $142, they lost any future business from me and every person I talk to. They could’ve simply allowed the change in dates, lost no money and been seen as caring about their customers. These people are greedy and stupid.

I bought a first class plane ticket, my credit card was charged and my flight status was booked. A month later (3 days to departure) the airline informa me that Priceline has cancelled my reservation and if I show up at the airport they won’t let me board. Called Priceline 13 times, I kept getting transferred and then their reps would just hang up on me while I waited. Then someone told me it was fixed, but on the return leg of my round trip, the airline tells me I was downgraded from first class to economy and made me pay for my bag. Again called Priceline and had to pay long distance rate and after 14 minutes on the phone the incompetent rep could not help me, I chose to pay for the bag so that I wouldn’t miss my flight because I had to show up for work the next day. Now I am giving Priceline another show, I tried booking a flight twice, the app gave me an error “unable to book but here are other amazing deals.” It didn’t book my trip (my flight does not show up in the My Trips section of the app) however I have two $1,200 charges on my credit card. Now I have to waste another 3 hours of being transferred with a dozen Priceline reps until someone is able to help me.

I have used this app a bit and mostly everything is great. The only problem I have had though was that when you filter for hotels that are pet friendly you shouldn’t get to the hotel and have to beg for them to let you stay. I took my dog on a road trip and the first stop was after 15 hours of driving. We were exhausted and ready to go to bed, but when we got there we had to beg them to let us stay which thankfully they made an exception since I was able to show them where the listing showed them as pet friendly. That was stressful, but I was willing to let it go and call it a fluke until it happened again the next evening on the next hotel stop. Fortunately the lady at the front desk also took pity on us and allowed us to stay, but we have to sneak her in and out to use the bathroom and leave the hotel so the other people who work here won’t know she’s here so again very stressful. Please make sure that if you are assigning a hotel to someone looking for pet friendly that it actually is pet friendly

Their customer service is less than helpful. -I booked a hotel using the Name Your Price feature in the app for what I thought was the following night because we were driving home from our trip the next day. It charges your card right away, so I assumed everything was alright. After hours of driving we got to our hotel (that I thought I booked for that night) and the less-than-friendly front desk attendant said our reservation was for the previous night. I double-checked my app, and sure enough, it was booked for the previous night. I was sure I entered the correct dates when I booked. I think there was a glitch in their app. When I called Priceline to see about a refund, they were sympathetic and said they thought it was funny that the app let me book the room after midnight. When the customer rep tried to call the hotel, the hotel wouldn’t answer. Priceline wouldn’t give me even a partial refund. How often does this happen? How much money is this company making off their app glitches? I wouldn’t use this app. I guess the old adage of talking to a person is best in this situation and I think that’s what I’ll be doing in the future.

I use often. Majority of the hotels have been great. Flights have been great! Car rentals have been several issues! In July 2017 car rental issue, I booked a car for Atlanta to pick up after my flight. The car rental place double booked cars out & there was no car... was on the phone with Priceline for over 3 hours of them trying to locate a rental car, why so long you ask - they kept putting me on hold for over 45 minutes at a time then switch me to different CS people. I was supposed to have been at my destination at 10:00pm and finally out of airport rentals at 10:30pm they placed in a 5x’s the amount I had originally booked a car for! They never reimbursed as they promised! I had a 3 hour drive to my destination, NO Priceline CS failed hugely! In May 2017, car rental issues in McAlester, OK. Car Rental issues in August 2016 in McAlester, OK. I don’t advise renting a car from Priceline.

I booked several times through them, and twice now they have failed to complete my reservations, I just had to pay twice at the same hotel, luckily the front desk ladies were nice enough to match the price, Priceline constantly gave me the run around after wasting an hour and a half, I finally just said enough, I’ll let my bank deal with you jokers, not worth the time or effort, if you find a good deal online 9 times out of 10, show the hotel they will match it or come close. Delete this app. To the developer who responded... It wasn’t a rejection, your systems failed to correctly place me even after I paid, front desk said there was a woman waiting in her car all night because of the same issue, take better care of people that’s all I can say pal, I don’t use fakebook or any social media, so I will respectfully decline...on a side note, when I disputed the charge through my bank(since your people gave me the run around) my claims department said they get more disputes from Priceline than she has ever seen, so I’m sure you are well aware of your shortcomings, I have nothing left to say on the matter, good day.

Priceline used to be a great place to get great deals until recently. The Express Deals they offer seem to be a decent deal until you select one. First off, the hotels that they say are comparable to the one you’ll be getting are actually nothing like the one you receive. I booked a 3 Star express deal that they said would be comparable to a Marriot, Hilton or Hyatt and instead got a motel that I wouldn’t even rate over 2 stars. In addition to that, when I checked in, I was told I must pay an additional $34. Priceline had informed me at the bottom of the booking conditions in tiny print that there would in fact be a mandatory fee I would have to pay. My problem with this is why did they have to put it all the way at the bottom like they were hiding it and not put it some where people could actually see it right away so you know the true cost of what your paying for. When looking at reviews for this hotel, no one had anything nice to say about it except that it was close to Universal. How it’s a 3 Star hotel is mystery to me. When calling customer service, they were unhelpful and made me even angrier.

I've been using Priceline for 15 years. Express Deals are a great way to get into a moderate to fairly high end hotel for great prices! I had 1 issue a few months ago. I had driven with moving truck to move my daughter into her apartment. I was focused on moving her and didn't make hotel reservation for me. Finally, at 11:50 pm, I'm making reservation from my phone. By the time all was confirmed, it was after midnight and the reservation had automatically changed from the Friday night I existed in to Saturday night with no way to change it back. Done deal. I was exhausted from moving all day. I spent an hour and a half on the phone to the Philippines finally getting refunded but no place to stay Friday night. That sucked, but the hotel front desk gal (who got a raving review) offered me a blanket and pillow to stay on a couch in the lobby!! Beware scheduling a reservation around the midnight hour!
No Protection Against Bedbugs!!

My husband and I booked a hotel through Priceline so that we could attend my nephews graduation. When we arrived to the hotel, we found bedbugs on our room(some alive/ some dead). We notified the hotel staff and they refused to refund our money because we booked through Priceline. When I was waiting in the parking lot, another woman approached me and let me know that she had just found live bedbugs in her room and advised me not to stay. We knew it was not an isolated event. So, we called Priceline. They informed us that because the hotel management denied that they had bedbugs and they were not there to check that they could not refund our money ( it was a multi-night stay) I asked if they had any customer protections within their contact for live infestations and they said that they could not refund our money because the management denied the problem. We travel frequently (my husband is a pilot) and we will never use Priceline again. Thankfully, we found another hotel (not through Priceline) and they gave us a discount for our troubles. Priceline works for the hotels - not for the customers!!!

I have been a long time customer purchasing flights cars and hotels. I have always purchased the Trip cancellation insurance. Never needed it until today. Don’t do it folks it is a scam. The one time I finally need to change a flight and Priceline could not and would not help in any way. They sounded as if they were literally reading off a response card. I called several times hoping to get a customer service agent that would listen to the issue and try to help. Luckily I had insurance right??? One would think but wrong again. The only time the trip cancellation covers you is if you are on your death bed and in the hospital and even then you have to call them ASP in order to be covered. Very misleading. Don’t waste your money buy the better ticket if you think for a second you might have to make a change. Better yet purchase from the airline directly. Priceline told me yesterday they can’t help me they are only the middleman. Well time to cut out the middleman. Priceline you have lost a very good customer that purchases 10-20 flights a year, Hotels and rental cars.

I have been using Priceline and services similar since their inception. I am very grateful for the ease of use, the deals offered, and the constant improvements made. No, everything doesn’t always go the way I expect it should go but it always works out. Being a life long businessman and entrepreneur I can appreciate how much time, effort, and ingenuity go into the operations and service. I am also very appreciative of the helpful and patient customer service agents when things don’t go as planned, I could not do your job! For the people who post bad reviews for Priceline and other services like them, it might be worth lowering your expectations and look for the positive aspects of these tools and other conveniences available in our world. You might just start enjoying your life. Problems and complaints are always self generated.

Booked a hotel for Wednesday and another room for Thursday. My flight was cancelled Wednesday morning. I cancelled my rooms right away ON WEDNESDAY. They didn’t call to cancel until THURSDAY even though I called the hotel personally and got them to give the okay to cancel the room on Wednesday, but Priceline needed to make the call themselves...not me. I used that God awful chat system to give them the name of the account rep at the hotel on Wednesday, but again...they waited a day to call on my behalf...the hotel didn’t cancel my reservation...why would they? Priceline admitted it was messed up and they should have called that day, even though i did their job for them, but all they could do was just apologize while I ate the $100 for the room...oh...they did offer a 5% discount on my next booking. The customer service reps also didn’t really speak English well and I kept repeating myself. After over 5 hours on line and the phone all I have is a bunch of “sorry” statements, frustration, and $100 less in my pocket. They could care less about customer service.

I book the same hotel off the app every week. Every week I type in the location I want. Every time it shows hotels downtown Dallas when they are 3 times the price and require a $20 Uber ride. I ask for specifics in the filter ‘distance from location’ and the first time I booked, a hotel downtown popped up I thought great and booked it. Only to find out it was not close and did not provide an airport shuttle as promised. I know first world problems, but I now know I have to scroll thru to find the hotel I want. I wish when I put in the neighborhood ‘area’ it would put that area first. And the filter does not really work because you say distance closest to and it puts you 10-15 miles away I guess those hotels must pay a premium to pop up on the top. Just a warning if you are not familiar with the area check the map, the filter does not work.

This is by far by far the worst company I’ve ever dealt with online I asked for Google to give me alive customer service number they turn you over to a robot the same robot with the same voice I put in my name phone number email I totally registered and signed then I put everything I needed for a vacation the city I’m leaving from the city I’m going to how many days how many people age the ages of the people I put in I need our hotel and flights three different times I put it in very carefully and I pressed find it for me and they just sent me back the same page that I had never filled and over and over again and when I leftA written message that I was actually talking to a human being she didn’t understand anything I said didn’t register in my email or phone number which I had signed in with and said hello to RICHARD it had recognized me yet I’m trying here for 45 minutes to get a price on the flight and nothing works and there is no real human being to talk to goodbye Priceline you lost a customer before you even got one

My wife and I travel quite a bit, particularly to Florida where our daughter attended college and just recently just graduated. She now lives there. We also travel overseas. Wherever we go, I would not even consider not booking though Priceline. After using other apps and even using points accumulated though the hotels themselves you will never save as much money as you do with Priceline. We are very particular where we stay and if you read the reviews of the hotels and weed though as many reviews of each hotel you can, (there’s always someone who has a gripe with something) pick one. I almost always pick their special deals as long as there is 4 stars and the reviews are mostly positive. Have been super happy with this approach! Give it a try, you won’t be sorry!

I was using the app to find a hotel for a college visit for my daughter. I searched and found one on the date we needed for $90. I clicked book it and when the confirmation came through it had the current date, not the future date! Immediately called customer service. They told me that it was a no cancellation/no refund deal! (I know and I was ok with that when the app showed the right dates) she said There was nothing she could do! She said maybe call the hotel and see. So she “called the hotel” and said they would allow me to cancel and rebook for the correct date but the cost was $145! What?? Your app said $90 on the correct date now I either lose the 90 I have already paid or have to pay $145. Yes that was my only option. So because the app screwed up the date...I ended up have to pay an additional $55 for a room! I seriously will not use this app again! I could have gotten better rates through the hotel direct!!

I only use Priceline for booking hotels but I’ve scored every time! In fact I don’t know when the last time was that I didn’t get a hotel thru Priceline. If you don’t have any friends or family with connections to big hotels and you don’t like to pay double for a room and you don’t like to book days or weeks in advance in case your plans change and you’d like something better than a Motel 6 or Super 8 then go thru Priceline. I’ve booked the actual hotel I want or used Express Deals and have always been happy with the results... well ok there was that time in Kanab Utah where we got an awful room but what can I say, it was Kanab. We’ve never had problems checking in or getting help in getting 1st floor rooms or rooms near elevators for my handicapped hubby.
Emergency 2 days before Christmas

Booked a night at the GSR in Reno, NV. For my anniversary. When I got to Reno I couldn’t stay because of a death in the family. 2 days before Christmas, on my Anniversary and the hotel was 100% full with more people wanting a room. I figure if the hotel can rent my room then I should get a refund. The hotel manager tells me to call Agoda, who the reservation was made, if they agree to refund my money the hotel wouldn’t charge them to get a refund. I call the number the hotel gives me to explain the situation and ask that they agree to refund me my money when the room was re rented. Priceline says the hotel won’t agree and the hotel manager is saying they had a deal even before I booked a room and they will still charge Priceline even though the room was rented. Its a deal take your money and they split it with the hotel. Grand Sierra Resort blames Priceline and Priceline blames Grand Sierra Resort. The only reason I give them 1 star is because the app and review system make you select one to make a review.

I have been using Priceline for YEARS. I’m a hairdresser and I tell all my clients to use them as well. It had always been my go to. Not anymore. About three weeks ago I accidentally booked my hotel for the wrong weekend and called as soon as I clicked submit, realized it too late! So I called customer care. The lady was sweet. She said that she email the third party company to see if I could change the date or have my money be refunded. Mind you, I didn’t want to cancel or my money back, just to change the dates. I was willing to pay the difference. I called on a Saturday at 11ish pm. She said I would hear something back in 2-3 business days. I called back on Monday just check that my request wasn’t being forgotten. The gentleman told me that I should hear something by Wednesday or Thursday. Friday came (day before the accidental reservation) and nothing. I called and they said that the company had not replied to them. I called Saturday and the gentleman that answered took my number and went into action and said he was going to call that other company and get them on the ball right away. He calls back and tells me that I will get an email in two business days. It has been over a week. Nothing. I have email customer service. And nothing. After using them for my hotel stays for so many years, I am deleting the app and taking my business elsewhere. I feel ignored. I was patient and I was nice.

I travel a lot for work and I always use Priceline if I need to get a room. I watch my close associates struggle with finding a room and then the prices are always way higher. I open up my phone, type in the town and boom within 2 minutes I can find the perfect deal. The express deals 9/10 are better hotels than I would generally buy and are generally at I price I wouldn’t normally pay for a hotel...because they are just that cheap! Once I got a 4 star suite 10th floor for only $54! If you have a problem their support center is very good at making sure you’re happy. All around this is a must have service for anyone traveling who wants to save all the cash they can! In one year I saved $2,500 on express deals.

This company is “bush league” when it comes to customer service. I used Priceline for all my travel, 50-75 nights per year. When I needed them most, they did not come through. This is not the first time. This is a reoccurring issue. I’m done. They take your money for rooms that don’t exist, then blame the hotels when they can’t come through. They don’t understand how to handle the customer relationship, when there is a problem, they hide. They blame the hotels. Obviously, they carry no clout with the major hotels otherwise they would not hide. I’ll never trust that their bookings are solid. I am a business owner, and I hope they experience poor results to change their behavior. I also hope this review will help send customers elsewhere. There are better companies out there that “get it.” It’s unfortunate that marketing can cover for poor results. Long term, as a consumer, I hope we don’t reward companies like this. They should not survive.
Pricing errors, increases, &reservations given away

I used to book through Priceline for all my travels. However, now the app advertises one price and then increases it when you try to book. They prices shown are not the actual prices. Just “come in” prices. Obviously this is on purpose because they could program pricing like all the other sites/apps. Also, recently I tired to book a site even though the price went from $85 to $104 when I clicked book this rate. The app wouldn’t let me go further saying that they couldn’t find the information on this hotel deal. I had to go inside the hotel and got a rate of $93 which was better than Priceline anyway. I called Priceline and tried to book, but they won’t let you. I asked to talk to tech support and they “don’t have any”. The lady did apologize 1,000 times. I felt like they were smiling at me and saying too bad that’s the way it is and laughing. Did not get a good feeling about the company. I also booked awhile back and they gave my reservation away. I traveled hours only to find I had no place to stay. Lesson learned was that hotels can give 3rd party rooms away. Bottom line is that the company hides prices in the app, when you try to book it may or may not work. Customer service will apologize and say there’s nothing they can do. You can’t book through them on the phone nor report any issues with their app.
Express deals almost always awful

The app works great and I have used it a lot. Always useful to find hotels near me wherever I am. I can get past minute lodging unless it is very late at night. It would be nice to improve the ability to find something after midnight. Sometimes when you are on the road, you need that. I need to give myself a huge reminder that the express deals are almost always super crappy. The hotels are almost always a step down from what is advertised. I have had to cancel a booking in more than one occasion because the express deal hotel was run down or felt unsafe. So note to self: pay more, know what you are getting yourself into. In sum: the app works great but the express deal features tend not to deliver a quality experience.
Priceline has a horrible costumer service

I attempt to book a flight for my 93 years old father . There is no option on the app, or site to request for wheelchair services , which is very discriminatory to the elderly , and handicap . At to make the experience more unpleasant , I book the flight with my best friends credit card , he was right next to me when price line called to confirm his information the agent had a really bad ascent , we couldn’t understand her so she repeat her self, she said thank you and Hang up in our face . I got an email saying my flight was cancelled , when we attempt to all the costumer services , there is no one to answer . This is the first and last time I ever use this company . I purchase my dad’s flight with cheapoair for 120 more , no drama , we got the call from cheapoair to confirm the owner of the credit card used , and everything was successfully processed . Stay away from Priceline even if you have to pay more .

Likewise, I have used this app for many years. And I consistently find the best rates and a wider assortment of property options here. HOWEVER, listings SHOULD include disclaimers for those properties that treat Priceline customers as “lesser” than their first-party guests. It has consistently been the case that, as a Priceline customer, I am VERY OFTEN assigned rooms in the nether regions of the hotel, given rooms that are substandard (smaller than the other rooms, rooms with known maintenance issues, rooms that are not what was advertised or specifically selected at purchase, or rooms that they would never offer their ”paying customers”). “paying customers” is the actual term that one manager used to refer to their first-party reservations! This, combined with misleading star ratings, often make Priceline shopping more of a hit-and-miss process. I highly recommend a general disclaimer stating that third-party customers may NOT receive the same options and treatment as those who directly book their rooms. It’s only fair and makes for more informed customers! More than once have I demanded refunds because of one or more of the issues listed in this review!!! I suggest that others do likewise!!!!

For the most part I’ve had good experiences. The first bad experience was a 3 star hotel,per Priceline, in MN that was really a 1.5 star per the hotel. It was so rundown, but I should have researched through the hotel before booking. I thought it was probably a fluke and didn’t give it another thought until this past weekend. I booked a hotel...based not only on stars, price, but mainly the shuttle to the airport. Hotel was nice, price was good...shuttle nonexistent except on Friday and Saturday after 3 pm. My flight left at 10 am...so I had to get a cab. So, from now on I will research the hotel on the hotel website and I will never book a best deal since there is no way to verify any information, and I can not trust that Priceline is providing accurate information. The difference in the price after having to add the cab, could have gone somewhere closer and possibly nicer. Now I know.

Buyer beware...even though you may select how many adults and children and search, the prices that come up and you pay is double occupancy only for most all-inclusives. Searched for an all-inclusive in Mexico for 2 adults and 1 child, 15. Found the place our group is going and booked a standard room with 1 double bed and a king bed. Turns out the room is for double occupancy and my daughter was not included even though the search came up with a selection that even said “recommended for your party”, my party being 3 people - or so I thought. So, the trip is in <3 weeks and Priceline tells me to contact hotel and hotel tells me to contact Priceline. Contact #3 and Priceline contacts the resort and the quote for my daughter is almost what I am paying for my husband and I for 6 nights. Still working through it but soo disappointed in what I consider to be a misleading and false site. Will be using a travel agent from now on.

I generally do not take time to write these reviews. This is probably my second one in ten years. That said... Priceline is the best way to secure quality hotels at the lowest prices. There is no other approximately or service that I know of that even comes close for value, ease of use and reliability. The “Express Deal” is a sure winner, especially for the 4- and 5-star hotels. For flights, the Priceline search and sort functions provide results far superior to Kayak and JustFly, while presenting equal or better prices, in my experience. For cars, Priceline also identifies some amazing rates, which can be especially indispensable if you’re not an elite member with the rental company(ies). Done.
Best App for travel always

The name your own price option for hotels always gets me a better deal than I can find anywhere else and on nice rooms. Priceline checks out the hotels for adequacy and they are usually big name chains, but you truly can’t get better deals anywhere. The name your own price for rental cars is easy too, but typically the prices are similar to the prices listed. As far as air, I wouldn’t risk it as the timing and connections are too unpredictable. I prefer to plan that and am willing to pay more to do so, so wouldn’t use this app for flights, but if you are more flexible than I, you will definitely get a deal... And the app itself is super easy to use... I’m a Priceline fan for sure...

I was attempting to book a hotel reservation for a night in the future and when I was looking through the hotels the app booked me for a hotel room on the night I was booking it instead of the future date I selected. I called the hotel to change my reservation to the day I was attempted to book on and they said there was nothing they could, they told me to contact Priceline. So I called priceline to speak to someone over the phone, I was on hold for over 50mins without anyone answering, there wasn’t a message staying the lines were closed or how long I would be waiting. SO NOT ONLY did I have a problem with booking my reservation, I could even speak to someone over the phone. This is the worst hotel reservation and customer service I’ve ever received. There was an opinion to give no stars I would’ve done that, in my opinion this app/company doesn’t even deserve 1 Star.

I am very disappointed with Priceline. When I was searching for hotels I put in my filters that I only wanted hotels with a pool. When I did the name your price, it did not consider my filter and gave me a hotel without a pool. I called customer service and they told me there was nothing they could do. Now I’m looking forward to a very disappointing vacation because all my three year old girls wanted was a pool. I have been using Priceline for years for almost all my vacations and never had a problem until today. I usually loved all the hotels I was sent to. Update: I’m updating to say that even with no pool, the hotel was very well located and we we close to everything. We had a good time. The hotel was very clean, and included breakfast.
Priceline changes the face of travel

I travel thousands of miles a year to see my son at work as a professional athlete. It’s not always predictable. I need to find the most efficient way to travel both expediently and financially. I use the Priceline app to quickly compare rates and routes, rental cars with different drop locations and hotels that are comfortable. Priceline has changed the face of travel bringing all these areas to one place for comparison, availability and last minute access to major brands. I can look at a particular brand and then head to Priceline to see what’s being offered and it’s typically a substantial savings. Thanks Priceline for helping me get to my son as much as possible!!
No customer service

Booked an EXPRESS DEAL on an area I had NEVER spent any time & The hotel was FORTY miles away, that is EIGHTY MILES WASTED JUST GETTING TO & FROM HOTEL. After finding hotel, there were zero handicapped parking places, no ramps, and lots of stairs without railings just to get to the registration desk. When I asked for a receipt, I was REFUSED, said I would get one emailed to me from Priceline (still waiting 4 hours later). Tried to ‘CHAT’ with Priceline, no response, was able to text, but all I was able to get from the rep (or robot-it was hard to tell the difference) was that there are no changes, of refunds. And I informed them that I was unable to use the 10% discount they sent me from a previous stay. They also acknowledged that I WAS RESPONSIBLE for knowing where the hotel was located, even if I had NEVER BEEN IN THE AREA. If it were possible to leave a negative number for my review of Priceline, I would. And I am not afraid to use my name:Jeffrey Zarit

We have booked hotels and cars numerous times through Priceline, and have saved tons of money over the years. The Express Deals are a favorite go-to for last-minute bookings, especially when staying for more than one night. And, we ALWAYS book our rental cars through Priceline because it sorts the available cars by total price, regardless of the rental company it’s with. So, it saves me a lot of time going from site to site, looking for the best deal. If you’re looking to “Name your own price,” you’ll want to use the full desktop site because the app doesn't let you bid as low. Beyond that one thing, it’s all good stuff!
Be very careful

Caveat emptor. If you make any little mistake, or miss any item that pops up during your booking process, do not expect to be able to resolve the issue after the fact with support. My experience, I bid $130 for a hotel for my upcoming trip. Got the screen saying that I should up my bid, so I upped to $140 and resubmitted. Another page popped up asking for my initials. I thought the initials were to acknowledge my new bid, I entered them and resent. I was confirmed for a hotel stay of $212+. Went through support. I know taxes and fees are extra, but 50% higher than my bid seems excessive. I was told that the initials page was advising me of an extra Extra hotel fee. I had missed it. Support was completely unhelpful and I’m stuck with it. I think Priceline acted in bad faith on this transaction. I don’t need parking, internet, or use of the pool, or anything else this fee includes. Priceline support should have offered a partial refund and given me the chance to choose a cheaper option. I don’t even need a full refund, if they would have worked in good faith I would have still given them a booking. Please don’t ask me to reach out via social media. You blew your chance. Review stands.
Worst Experience Ever

I tried booking a hotel in Del Rio and after I paid for the reservation I looked at the address and found it booked a room in Sonora, TX which is an hour and a half away. This app makes no sense in providing hotels that are extensively far away in the hotel selection process. Seconds after, I called the hotel to cancel the reservation and they said to call Priceline. I called Priceline and they said they couldn’t do any refund as only the hotel could authorize it. Long story short after spending over 45 minutes on hold trying to reach Priceline’s customer service and 5 times calling back to Priceline over 3 days, my refund request was denied. My advice to those trying to download this app. Just don’t do it. My advice to Priceline, fix your app, do a complete overhaul on your customer service department, and find a solution to get my refund on my hotel I didn’t even stay at.

We used Priceline last week to book a hotel room. I paid through the app and everything was good to go. When we got to the hotel, much to our surprise a friend of ours called and paid for the room with his own credit card as a gift to us. When we called Priceline to issue a refund, they refused to do so because it was after the cancellation date. I completely understand having a policy like that in place but I feel like given the circumstances, they would be generous enough to issue the refund. Instead, they just get to keep the money for a room that had already been paid for. Such robbery!
Stranded at the airport

I have used Priceline before for many rentals and hotel but this WILL BE MY LAST TIME! After a long 6 hr flight, I picked up my luggage to then stand in line for almost 2 hours to pick up my car rental. I know this is pet traveling and accept that. What I don’t accept is the fact that after such a long wait we find out that Priceline never paid for our reservation and almost no one else has cars available for us to just make a new reservation and if the do we will be paying more then double. I took out the time to plan and pay in advance for my rental thinking that I was saving time and money but now I have wasted precious vacation time and am now stranded at the airport struggling to find a rental for the rest of the week. It’s great that I will be refunded but I would have expected that Priceline would help find a new car for me since this was their goof.

I used the app to book a one night stay in Las Vegas. We have 2 people who don’t smoke so it was important to have 2 queen beds and a non smoking room. After clicking on the correct room selection, I paid like normal. I checked my reservation when it came through only to find that my room selection had been completely changed to a king smoking room. After calling customer service to have this glitch fixed, I was told I was in the wrong and ended up having to pay an additional charge to “upgrade” my room to the correct one. Customer service was not good and the woman was very eager to get me off the phone before my issues could be resolved. She could not answer any of my questions and would often cut me off to repeat irrelevant information. As someone who works in customer service, this is very frustrating.
Absolute Best App For Travel

There is absolutely no single time where I haven’t found the best deals (by a significant margin) on the Priceline app. I can check anywhere, and every single time Priceline beats it out. You have to sign up for free and become a member and then it’s time to travel. Every Vegas trip I take, Priceline crushes other sites. California... Priceline. Just planned a Jamaica trip, decided to search everywhere for the best deals and without exception, my Priceline app won the bookings. Lastly but very importantly, I really love the integrations with my calendar after booking as well as my Apple Wallet. It makes the whole process simpler and finishes it perfectly.

For the past 8-10 days we have been struggling to book a flight. I found what I want but it wouldn’t book. Your telephonic volume was high so I got on line and was quickly able to chat with Alec. He said be flight was probably sold out and the Internet posting was lagging behind. Ok, jump forward to last evening and now, that flight is still listed...same date, route, price. I am thrilled. I book...not coming up...won’t reserve. So I thought ok, I pay more. Same destination, 12+ more hours and I now noticed that I am leaving at midnight Thursday instead of reasonable 1535 for a 2 hour flight!!! I’m annoyed. Paid more, wrong time, extra hours!!! Luckily I have 24 hours to rectify but that is now another call to you!!! Don’t tell me the flight I want is still listed with a mistake due to lag time!! It’s been 10 days! Thank you

Upset I have a coupon code from Priceline it wouldn’t accept it, I just got it emailed today. Tried calling never was able to speak to anyone and I been trying to chat but it was a 7 minute wait. They only had 3 rooms available so I went ahead and booked it without a waiting the 7 minutes to chat with anyone because I was scared they would book those 3 rooms. This was the only issue I had no biggie but if I can save I like to save really wish I could’ve used my coupon

Absolute disaster of a company. Butchered a reservations and then refused to fix. Customer service told us there was nothing we could. My wife is 6 months pregnant in Florida and was stuck with no rental car. Absolute garbage customer service on the phone. Have used them for years will never use them again.

I tried to book an advertised express deal this morning and after going through all the booking and payment screens, I discovered the deal was no longer available. I tried again a few minutes later and the deal was still advertised, but once again I was not able to purchase it because it wasn’t really available. I ended up paying more for he deal, which smacks of a bait and switch. I was in a bind today and had to book, but I won’t be so eager in the future. I will look to other booking sites.

So my daughter had a sleepover at this hotel I booked a room through Priceline once we get to the room I was shocked to find out nothing was as it said on the website at the holiday inn or on Priceline the staff were rude and kept lying to my family as if they didn’t want us at the hotel we felt as the staff were being very biased I am still waiting for Priceline to give my money back it was supposed to be in 24 hours it is now three days later I will never go out to that hotel again

The hotel wasn’t really the problem it was Priceline didn’t notify the hotel that I had already pre-paid. The guy at the Counter when I checked and didn’t want to look that the money had already been taken out of my account and insisted it was just pending. The following morning I went down and another lady fixed it for me and so far everything appears to be fine. The problem was when I tried to contact Priceline. I received no response back after leaving messages and I’m still waiting for that call.

We have used Priceline for years and always been happy. Until recently. Long story short I booked a room for one night in order to take advantage of the hotels pool as my 10yr old son’s mom had an unexpected neurological event the week prior and remains in ICU. I only mention this to quantify the importance of our one night vacation. We checked after dinner at 8 and were told the pool was not operational. Not had it been for months. My son was crushed. I was furious. Hotel said sorry but you have to get the refund from priceline. So after 3 attempts to get someone on the phone and bring out on hold for 10-15 minutes before being disconnected I FINALLY spoke to someone today. They refused to refund me the full amount even though they lied on the website about the pool AND we didn’t even stay the night!!! The agent I spoke with, Franco, said the best he could do was 15 bucks. When I asked to speak to his manager he said I was wasting my time and would only get the same response. I understand the fine print and know they legally don’t have to give me anything but I would think they might want to think about retaining customers instead of driving them as far away as possible. The best part is when I got the email saying I would see the 15 bucks in 5-10 business days there was no way to respond to the email. And when I tried to get an email address for customer service via the chat function I was told that was not available but I could write to the management team. Then I was disconnected!!! With no address given!! I do not recommend this app or this company at all.

My wife and I travel quite a bit, particularly to Florida where our daughter attended college and just recently just graduated. She now lives there. We also travel overseas. Wherever we go, I would not even consider not booking though Priceline. After using other apps and even using points accumulated though the hotels themselves you will never save as much money as you do with Priceline. We are very particular where we stay and if you read the reviews of the hotels and weed though as many reviews of each hotel you can, (there’s always someone who has a gripe with something) pick one. I almost always pick their special deals as long as there is 4 stars and the reviews are mostly positive. Have been super happy with this approach! Give it a try, you won’t be sorry!

We have had a few terrible experiences with Priceline. The most recent one was when they double charged us, sent us to the wrong hotel and then refused to refund event the double charge claiming that all sales at non refundable. Never will do business with them again.

I recently traveled 10 through the Pacific Northwest. I’ve always used Priceline for all my travel needs. Come to find out at one location I they charged my credit card for room payment and took the Priceline payment as well. Come to find out that the hotel normal rate was much less then the rate Priceline charged. Priceline 100% best price guarantee is only available up to 24 hours after you book. Well hell who stops to ck charges or rates until the vacation is over. I have used Priceline for years with the upmost confidence in the best price guarantee. I have been scammed by Priceline and I’m sure others have as well. To all you review readers out there on the web just know that Priceline is not the 100% best price as they claim.

Would rate this higher but if there are some errors when performing the actual purchase of airline tickets. You have to start the flight search over (at least on iPad mini iOS 12.1) if you encounter an error (The purchase button doesn’t submit after an error has been corrected). The expiration date that is stored on Priceline and what is displayed is different (at least when I used my Priceline credit card logged into my Priceline account), this caused the problem I refer to in my first issue with the app. Then when sending email of the travel plans from the confirmation screen did not have a send nor cancel button so I had to terminate the app then restart it to find my reservation to send an email of the details.

Booked a hotel via Priceline app more than 24 hours before our trip and got a confirmation email. When we reached the hotel at night, the hotel employee told us that they have overbooked and canceled 10 reservations without even a courtesy call to the guests informing about cancellation. Called Priceline and rep offered 2 options: Option 1 was canceling our original booking for a refund and Option 2 being finding us a comparable stay at another location. We were traveling with an infant so we requested relocation to another place. Priceline Rep told us that he was transferring us to relocation expert and our call was transferred. I was on hold for another 1 hour and 10 mins before so called relocation expert picked up the phone. He looked at available listings for all DFW area for another 30 mins to tell us that he cannot find us a place to stay. My question is if you cannot offer a relocation please don’t even offer that service because you are adding inconvenience to a guest who already has a bad day because you cannot secure a reservation in the first place. Your relocation offer cost me another 2+ hours over the phone with Priceline. At the end I still was left alone to find my own hotel at 2 am. And what kind of steps do you guys take for hotel who overbooks and causes inconvenience to your clients. At least as a paying guest who has already paid in advance I expect a courtesy phone call from hotel or Priceline about cancellation. This experience caused me to think 10 times before using your Services again in the future and I will definitely warn my friends and family about such a downgrade customer service provided by Priceline. Poor customer service and careless attitude of Priceline, please be aware before you start your travel call the hotel directly to confirm you booking and don’t rely on Priceline’s booking confirmation.

We paid one of their Express Deals for a 2 1/2 star hotel. We got an absolute dump that wreaks of cigarette smoke, is filthy dirty, disgusting! Whole second floor room wiggles when my husband shook his foot up and down. Bed linens are dirty, bathroom has what looks like blood on the cabinets. I’m itching all over & have bites on my back. I’m not sure it’s due to mold or bug bites! Priceline stands behind their 2 1/2 star review for this hotel even though its 1 1/2 on Yelp. It’s super gross. The ceilings even in the halls show water damage. The emergency lights look like they've had a leak above as well. The ac unit makes all kinds of dying moaning noises all night. The bed feels like we’re lying on the floor. The floor is so gross that we won’t take off our shoes! I showered with flip flops on because everything is so gross. There’s hair on everything. Doesn’t look like this room has been cleaned out between guests. Pubic hair on bed sheets. The “breakfast” consists of breakfast bars & tiny muffins thrown in a basket. There’s never anyone manning the front desk. Priceline will do nothing about it. They keep saying that their standards are more strict than others & it’s a 2 1/2 star hotel. That’s absolutely bogus. Obviously this is an issue with Priceline because they’ve got a very detailed canned response for it! Don’t trust Priceline’s star ratings!

I flew, rented hotels and car with this app and I’m unhappy and regretting it because when searching through the app for accommodation I had ensured breakfast, parking were included, but when place was reserved, the hotel denied me those amenities. The hotel stated that they were a third party company issue and I had to contact priceline. When I contacted Priceline spoke with CSR and the lead, the lead in customer service promised that their manager will contact me and I have been waiting since mid April and No Call yet. They outright lied to me in Customer Service and did nothing to even follow up.

I recently began my sign up with Priceline and had an awful experience with customer service from the moment I called, had to go through several personnel to speak with a Manager and then to GM who all said there is nothing we can do! Read on, while on the App and researching to fit my budget, with family aboard in truck, the book prompt was inadvertently hit and I immediately contacted Priceline, I was told there was nothing they could do! The one manager contacted the hotel and that hotel told them they would not refund money, then in an instant, the hotel now processed funds to draw off my account! The General management tells me he can not call the hotel to correct this, after wasted time with them, I contacted my bank to cancel my card and stop payment! Needless to say, I contacted the hotel in an effort to resolve, left info with staff for management to contact me, and of course they did not! I will do a review and name that hotel! As for Priceline, dealing with people like that, you should have standards for which you allow them to be part of your business! I would remove them from you postings! So, I booked a reservation for a car and received a confirmation from Priceline and the car rental company as well. Next day I get a call from the car rental company saying they don’t THINK they will have a car for me and will possibly not be able to tell me until I’m standing at the counter. Seriously? I’m driving out of town about 500 miles and have a deadline to meet. I then call Priceline “customer service” and through their agent and a supervisor they let me know they are not able (or interested by the sound of their voices) to help and just want to cancel the reservation. When I asked about why a reservation is not a REAL reservation, they blandly inform me that they do not have access to the car rental company’s inventory and have no idea whether a car is actually available when a reservation is made. Nor do they even make contact with the car rental companies EVER to coordinate. They just make reservations leaving the car rental companies to decide to honor the reservation or not. If the car rental company had not called me, I would have been out of luck; standing at the counter with my, uh, best intentions in my hand and no car. So I cancelled my reservation with Priceline, deleted the app and bought a plane ticket. Which was only a little more money than the car rental. Even on short notice. My summary: USELESS, RIDICULOUS, UNNECESSARY APP AND COMPANY! Caveat emptor!

I have used Priceline regularly for the last few years, booking hotel rooms through them several times a month. When there are no issues, they’re great, but the times there are issues make it unbearable. I booked a hotel using the app based on it being in a specific location, and being able to get a suite with a kitchenette at a great price. Once I received the confirmation, I realized that the hotel was located approx 20 miles away from where they showed on the map, and I had a reservation for a standard room. I was told by hotel employees that they had contacted Priceline several times regarding the incorrect information, but they had made no effort to change it. So after my family drove nearly an hour out of our way to stay in a room smaller than I had intended, I let customer service know about the incorrect information and requested a refund based on it. After a few communications with different CS reps, they have yet to acknowledge that the information was inaccurate, accept responsibility, compensate me for my inconvenience or correct the info on their site. They are intentionally deceiving their customers. Priceline’s entire purpose is to curate travel information to simplify the process for users. If I have to use other sites and apps to verify that their info is correct before using them, then they are useless to me.

I booked a hotel and made a mistake in the date. Priceline refused to refund my reservation. I called in just a few minutes after my error, they beat around the bush saying they have to call the hotel, made me wait 5 days, no one called back. I had to follow up on my own just to be told they were not going to cancel it. I’ve used Priceline for many years and to extend that kind of garbage customer satisfaction is a slap in the face, especially considering this cancellation request was escalated a week prior to the reservation, this wasn’t a last minute cancellation request. I’ve always recommended Priceline to friends and family, now I’m going to tell people to go elsewhere for failing to meet expectations and refusing to help, they refused even after I told Priceline “I’m going to rebook right after cancellation, so you’ll still have my business” no they still refused, asked for a manager and refused. Priceline your incompetence and lack of customer care has now cost you a lifetime customer. You could’ve made tons more money on my lifetime loyalty and also gained even more customers through my recommendations, but you got greed and said you practically dgaf about customer satisfaction. I’d give you negative stars if I could. This industry is far too competitive for you to treat loyal customers that way.

Bid on a 3 star minimum hotel in Orlando, placed a $275 bid and was placed in a Holiday Inn that was seedy, dirty, old and outdated. The room was dirty, body hair in the bathtub, stains throughout the rooms carpet, mold in the shower/tub gout and the hair dryer was broken. I emailed Priceline immediately when we got in the room, they didn't reply until a few days later. They replied that the hotel gave us free breakfast so that was the compensation accepted for the dissatisfaction for the room. The hotel text me asking if we were happy and I told her we weren't and explained the problems in the room, she text that she couldn't refund some of the room charge because we booked through a third party/Priceline so all she could offer is a free meal which we didn't use because it was a breakfast buffet at TGIF, gross. We spent with tax and fees over $300 for one night in a maybe 1 Star Holiday Inn when we were "guaranteed" a 3 star minimum room before bidding. For that money we could have stayed at a nice Disney resort which was the level we were expecting because of the 3 star minimum we paid for. Customer service was not willing to do anything to make this right so we will never be using Priceline again and will continue to tell everyone we can about how we got ripped off by Priceline.

I can’t say enough good about PriceLine and the App. I have used the service numerous times, so my review is based on all of these experiences. I alway check other sources for deals and I always find the best deals on PriceLine. I have used it for business and personal vacations. But what made me actually write this review rather then just rate the app, was my recent experience with their customer service. In a rush to get a reservation done while sick and mildly medicated, I accidentally made the reservation for the wrong dates. I needed it for a week later. Once I realized my mistake, I called PriceLine directly from the app. The service rep (wish I could remember his name) was professional and friendly. He contacted the hotel for me and confirmed that they could cancel the reservation for me (it was a special deal that was supposed to be non-refundable). I received the cancellation notice seconds after getting off the phone. PriceLine went the extra mile for me, and that is why I am writing this review and gave them 5 stars. Thanks again PriceLine.

I’ve gotten a great hotel on this app, but every other hotel I’ve gotten has sucked. Don’t do the express deals if you’re going to use the app at all, they’re never what they say they are. Even the guest scores are unreliable because somehow it shows they rated it well when the review they’ve given is something along the lines of “horrible customer service” “my car was broken into” “bed bugs”. When I tried to contact Priceline about a problem with my card, they insisted that the hotel would accept a card with any name on it for incidentals. The card I booked the room with had been stolen and they were saying that I wouldn’t have to show them that card, or even a card with my name on it, just any card, even after telling them that I have seen many reviews in which people were turned away for just accidentally leaving out their middle initial for the reservation, they just repeated that any card would be fine. I then asked if I could be refunded the money I bought the hotel room with so I could put it onto another card I could show the hotel, they copy and pasted the hotels refund and cancellation policy and ended the chat.

Like others have said, issues aren’t resolved. This morning I booked a room but got the month wrong. The dates were correct. I contacted customer care chat within five minutes and asked if it was possible to change the reservation dates. They said there was a cancellation fee but would call the hotel asking them to waive their fee. No manager was available at the hotel to answer for 15 more minutes. I re-contacted PL chat 20 minutes later. The new agent read the info from the previous agent and made the call. While I waited fir an answer, I called the hotel directly and talked to the manager who had PL on hold. She stated that they had no problem waiving the fee but PL was unwilling to waive their commission. Mind you, this commission would’ve happened as soon as I made the new reservation. PL said there was nothing they could do, blaming the hotel. I asked what the cancellation fee was and the said it was the total I had paid for the room, which isn’t a fee of any sort. So, for $142, they lost any future business from me and every person I talk to. They could’ve simply allowed the change in dates, lost no money and been seen as caring about their customers. These people are greedy and stupid.

I bought a first class plane ticket, my credit card was charged and my flight status was booked. A month later (3 days to departure) the airline informa me that Priceline has cancelled my reservation and if I show up at the airport they won’t let me board. Called Priceline 13 times, I kept getting transferred and then their reps would just hang up on me while I waited. Then someone told me it was fixed, but on the return leg of my round trip, the airline tells me I was downgraded from first class to economy and made me pay for my bag. Again called Priceline and had to pay long distance rate and after 14 minutes on the phone the incompetent rep could not help me, I chose to pay for the bag so that I wouldn’t miss my flight because I had to show up for work the next day. Now I am giving Priceline another show, I tried booking a flight twice, the app gave me an error “unable to book but here are other amazing deals.” It didn’t book my trip (my flight does not show up in the My Trips section of the app) however I have two $1,200 charges on my credit card. Now I have to waste another 3 hours of being transferred with a dozen Priceline reps until someone is able to help me.
Pretty good but room for improvement

I have used this app a bit and mostly everything is great. The only problem I have had though was that when you filter for hotels that are pet friendly you shouldn’t get to the hotel and have to beg for them to let you stay. I took my dog on a road trip and the first stop was after 15 hours of driving. We were exhausted and ready to go to bed, but when we got there we had to beg them to let us stay which thankfully they made an exception since I was able to show them where the listing showed them as pet friendly. That was stressful, but I was willing to let it go and call it a fluke until it happened again the next evening on the next hotel stop. Fortunately the lady at the front desk also took pity on us and allowed us to stay, but we have to sneak her in and out to use the bathroom and leave the hotel so the other people who work here won’t know she’s here so again very stressful. Please make sure that if you are assigning a hotel to someone looking for pet friendly that it actually is pet friendly

Their customer service is less than helpful. -I booked a hotel using the Name Your Price feature in the app for what I thought was the following night because we were driving home from our trip the next day. It charges your card right away, so I assumed everything was alright. After hours of driving we got to our hotel (that I thought I booked for that night) and the less-than-friendly front desk attendant said our reservation was for the previous night. I double-checked my app, and sure enough, it was booked for the previous night. I was sure I entered the correct dates when I booked. I think there was a glitch in their app. When I called Priceline to see about a refund, they were sympathetic and said they thought it was funny that the app let me book the room after midnight. When the customer rep tried to call the hotel, the hotel wouldn’t answer. Priceline wouldn’t give me even a partial refund. How often does this happen? How much money is this company making off their app glitches? I wouldn’t use this app. I guess the old adage of talking to a person is best in this situation and I think that’s what I’ll be doing in the future.

I use often. Majority of the hotels have been great. Flights have been great! Car rentals have been several issues! In July 2017 car rental issue, I booked a car for Atlanta to pick up after my flight. The car rental place double booked cars out & there was no car... was on the phone with Priceline for over 3 hours of them trying to locate a rental car, why so long you ask - they kept putting me on hold for over 45 minutes at a time then switch me to different CS people. I was supposed to have been at my destination at 10:00pm and finally out of airport rentals at 10:30pm they placed in a 5x’s the amount I had originally booked a car for! They never reimbursed as they promised! I had a 3 hour drive to my destination, NO Priceline CS failed hugely! In May 2017, car rental issues in McAlester, OK. Car Rental issues in August 2016 in McAlester, OK. I don’t advise renting a car from Priceline.
Don’t waste your money or stress, this company is bogus.

I booked several times through them, and twice now they have failed to complete my reservations, I just had to pay twice at the same hotel, luckily the front desk ladies were nice enough to match the price, Priceline constantly gave me the run around after wasting an hour and a half, I finally just said enough, I’ll let my bank deal with you jokers, not worth the time or effort, if you find a good deal online 9 times out of 10, show the hotel they will match it or come close. Delete this app. To the developer who responded... It wasn’t a rejection, your systems failed to correctly place me even after I paid, front desk said there was a woman waiting in her car all night because of the same issue, take better care of people that’s all I can say pal, I don’t use fakebook or any social media, so I will respectfully decline...on a side note, when I disputed the charge through my bank(since your people gave me the run around) my claims department said they get more disputes from Priceline than she has ever seen, so I’m sure you are well aware of your shortcomings, I have nothing left to say on the matter, good day.
Very misleading

Priceline used to be a great place to get great deals until recently. The Express Deals they offer seem to be a decent deal until you select one. First off, the hotels that they say are comparable to the one you’ll be getting are actually nothing like the one you receive. I booked a 3 Star express deal that they said would be comparable to a Marriot, Hilton or Hyatt and instead got a motel that I wouldn’t even rate over 2 stars. In addition to that, when I checked in, I was told I must pay an additional $34. Priceline had informed me at the bottom of the booking conditions in tiny print that there would in fact be a mandatory fee I would have to pay. My problem with this is why did they have to put it all the way at the bottom like they were hiding it and not put it some where people could actually see it right away so you know the true cost of what your paying for. When looking at reviews for this hotel, no one had anything nice to say about it except that it was close to Universal. How it’s a 3 Star hotel is mystery to me. When calling customer service, they were unhelpful and made me even angrier.

I've been using Priceline for 15 years. Express Deals are a great way to get into a moderate to fairly high end hotel for great prices! I had 1 issue a few months ago. I had driven with moving truck to move my daughter into her apartment. I was focused on moving her and didn't make hotel reservation for me. Finally, at 11:50 pm, I'm making reservation from my phone. By the time all was confirmed, it was after midnight and the reservation had automatically changed from the Friday night I existed in to Saturday night with no way to change it back. Done deal. I was exhausted from moving all day. I spent an hour and a half on the phone to the Philippines finally getting refunded but no place to stay Friday night. That sucked, but the hotel front desk gal (who got a raving review) offered me a blanket and pillow to stay on a couch in the lobby!! Beware scheduling a reservation around the midnight hour!
No Protection Against Bedbugs!!

My husband and I booked a hotel through Priceline so that we could attend my nephews graduation. When we arrived to the hotel, we found bedbugs on our room(some alive/ some dead). We notified the hotel staff and they refused to refund our money because we booked through Priceline. When I was waiting in the parking lot, another woman approached me and let me know that she had just found live bedbugs in her room and advised me not to stay. We knew it was not an isolated event. So, we called Priceline. They informed us that because the hotel management denied that they had bedbugs and they were not there to check that they could not refund our money ( it was a multi-night stay) I asked if they had any customer protections within their contact for live infestations and they said that they could not refund our money because the management denied the problem. We travel frequently (my husband is a pilot) and we will never use Priceline again. Thankfully, we found another hotel (not through Priceline) and they gave us a discount for our troubles. Priceline works for the hotels - not for the customers!!!

I have been a long time customer purchasing flights cars and hotels. I have always purchased the Trip cancellation insurance. Never needed it until today. Don’t do it folks it is a scam. The one time I finally need to change a flight and Priceline could not and would not help in any way. They sounded as if they were literally reading off a response card. I called several times hoping to get a customer service agent that would listen to the issue and try to help. Luckily I had insurance right??? One would think but wrong again. The only time the trip cancellation covers you is if you are on your death bed and in the hospital and even then you have to call them ASP in order to be covered. Very misleading. Don’t waste your money buy the better ticket if you think for a second you might have to make a change. Better yet purchase from the airline directly. Priceline told me yesterday they can’t help me they are only the middleman. Well time to cut out the middleman. Priceline you have lost a very good customer that purchases 10-20 flights a year, Hotels and rental cars.

I have been using Priceline and services similar since their inception. I am very grateful for the ease of use, the deals offered, and the constant improvements made. No, everything doesn’t always go the way I expect it should go but it always works out. Being a life long businessman and entrepreneur I can appreciate how much time, effort, and ingenuity go into the operations and service. I am also very appreciative of the helpful and patient customer service agents when things don’t go as planned, I could not do your job! For the people who post bad reviews for Priceline and other services like them, it might be worth lowering your expectations and look for the positive aspects of these tools and other conveniences available in our world. You might just start enjoying your life. Problems and complaints are always self generated.
Awful Customer Service

Booked a hotel for Wednesday and another room for Thursday. My flight was cancelled Wednesday morning. I cancelled my rooms right away ON WEDNESDAY. They didn’t call to cancel until THURSDAY even though I called the hotel personally and got them to give the okay to cancel the room on Wednesday, but Priceline needed to make the call themselves...not me. I used that God awful chat system to give them the name of the account rep at the hotel on Wednesday, but again...they waited a day to call on my behalf...the hotel didn’t cancel my reservation...why would they? Priceline admitted it was messed up and they should have called that day, even though i did their job for them, but all they could do was just apologize while I ate the $100 for the room...oh...they did offer a 5% discount on my next booking. The customer service reps also didn’t really speak English well and I kept repeating myself. After over 5 hours on line and the phone all I have is a bunch of “sorry” statements, frustration, and $100 less in my pocket. They could care less about customer service.

I book the same hotel off the app every week. Every week I type in the location I want. Every time it shows hotels downtown Dallas when they are 3 times the price and require a $20 Uber ride. I ask for specifics in the filter ‘distance from location’ and the first time I booked, a hotel downtown popped up I thought great and booked it. Only to find out it was not close and did not provide an airport shuttle as promised. I know first world problems, but I now know I have to scroll thru to find the hotel I want. I wish when I put in the neighborhood ‘area’ it would put that area first. And the filter does not really work because you say distance closest to and it puts you 10-15 miles away I guess those hotels must pay a premium to pop up on the top. Just a warning if you are not familiar with the area check the map, the filter does not work.

This is by far by far the worst company I’ve ever dealt with online I asked for Google to give me alive customer service number they turn you over to a robot the same robot with the same voice I put in my name phone number email I totally registered and signed then I put everything I needed for a vacation the city I’m leaving from the city I’m going to how many days how many people age the ages of the people I put in I need our hotel and flights three different times I put it in very carefully and I pressed find it for me and they just sent me back the same page that I had never filled and over and over again and when I leftA written message that I was actually talking to a human being she didn’t understand anything I said didn’t register in my email or phone number which I had signed in with and said hello to RICHARD it had recognized me yet I’m trying here for 45 minutes to get a price on the flight and nothing works and there is no real human being to talk to goodbye Priceline you lost a customer before you even got one

My wife and I travel quite a bit, particularly to Florida where our daughter attended college and just recently just graduated. She now lives there. We also travel overseas. Wherever we go, I would not even consider not booking though Priceline. After using other apps and even using points accumulated though the hotels themselves you will never save as much money as you do with Priceline. We are very particular where we stay and if you read the reviews of the hotels and weed though as many reviews of each hotel you can, (there’s always someone who has a gripe with something) pick one. I almost always pick their special deals as long as there is 4 stars and the reviews are mostly positive. Have been super happy with this approach! Give it a try, you won’t be sorry!

I was using the app to find a hotel for a college visit for my daughter. I searched and found one on the date we needed for $90. I clicked book it and when the confirmation came through it had the current date, not the future date! Immediately called customer service. They told me that it was a no cancellation/no refund deal! (I know and I was ok with that when the app showed the right dates) she said There was nothing she could do! She said maybe call the hotel and see. So she “called the hotel” and said they would allow me to cancel and rebook for the correct date but the cost was $145! What?? Your app said $90 on the correct date now I either lose the 90 I have already paid or have to pay $145. Yes that was my only option. So because the app screwed up the date...I ended up have to pay an additional $55 for a room! I seriously will not use this app again! I could have gotten better rates through the hotel direct!!

I only use Priceline for booking hotels but I’ve scored every time! In fact I don’t know when the last time was that I didn’t get a hotel thru Priceline. If you don’t have any friends or family with connections to big hotels and you don’t like to pay double for a room and you don’t like to book days or weeks in advance in case your plans change and you’d like something better than a Motel 6 or Super 8 then go thru Priceline. I’ve booked the actual hotel I want or used Express Deals and have always been happy with the results... well ok there was that time in Kanab Utah where we got an awful room but what can I say, it was Kanab. We’ve never had problems checking in or getting help in getting 1st floor rooms or rooms near elevators for my handicapped hubby.
Emergency 2 days before Christmas

Booked a night at the GSR in Reno, NV. For my anniversary. When I got to Reno I couldn’t stay because of a death in the family. 2 days before Christmas, on my Anniversary and the hotel was 100% full with more people wanting a room. I figure if the hotel can rent my room then I should get a refund. The hotel manager tells me to call Agoda, who the reservation was made, if they agree to refund my money the hotel wouldn’t charge them to get a refund. I call the number the hotel gives me to explain the situation and ask that they agree to refund me my money when the room was re rented. Priceline says the hotel won’t agree and the hotel manager is saying they had a deal even before I booked a room and they will still charge Priceline even though the room was rented. Its a deal take your money and they split it with the hotel. Grand Sierra Resort blames Priceline and Priceline blames Grand Sierra Resort. The only reason I give them 1 star is because the app and review system make you select one to make a review.

I have been using Priceline for YEARS. I’m a hairdresser and I tell all my clients to use them as well. It had always been my go to. Not anymore. About three weeks ago I accidentally booked my hotel for the wrong weekend and called as soon as I clicked submit, realized it too late! So I called customer care. The lady was sweet. She said that she email the third party company to see if I could change the date or have my money be refunded. Mind you, I didn’t want to cancel or my money back, just to change the dates. I was willing to pay the difference. I called on a Saturday at 11ish pm. She said I would hear something back in 2-3 business days. I called back on Monday just check that my request wasn’t being forgotten. The gentleman told me that I should hear something by Wednesday or Thursday. Friday came (day before the accidental reservation) and nothing. I called and they said that the company had not replied to them. I called Saturday and the gentleman that answered took my number and went into action and said he was going to call that other company and get them on the ball right away. He calls back and tells me that I will get an email in two business days. It has been over a week. Nothing. I have email customer service. And nothing. After using them for my hotel stays for so many years, I am deleting the app and taking my business elsewhere. I feel ignored. I was patient and I was nice.
Best On The Go Get Way To Find The Cheapest Deal!

I travel a lot for work and I always use Priceline if I need to get a room. I watch my close associates struggle with finding a room and then the prices are always way higher. I open up my phone, type in the town and boom within 2 minutes I can find the perfect deal. The express deals 9/10 are better hotels than I would generally buy and are generally at I price I wouldn’t normally pay for a hotel...because they are just that cheap! Once I got a 4 star suite 10th floor for only $54! If you have a problem their support center is very good at making sure you’re happy. All around this is a must have service for anyone traveling who wants to save all the cash they can! In one year I saved $2,500 on express deals.

This company is “bush league” when it comes to customer service. I used Priceline for all my travel, 50-75 nights per year. When I needed them most, they did not come through. This is not the first time. This is a reoccurring issue. I’m done. They take your money for rooms that don’t exist, then blame the hotels when they can’t come through. They don’t understand how to handle the customer relationship, when there is a problem, they hide. They blame the hotels. Obviously, they carry no clout with the major hotels otherwise they would not hide. I’ll never trust that their bookings are solid. I am a business owner, and I hope they experience poor results to change their behavior. I also hope this review will help send customers elsewhere. There are better companies out there that “get it.” It’s unfortunate that marketing can cover for poor results. Long term, as a consumer, I hope we don’t reward companies like this. They should not survive.
Pricing errors, increases, &reservations given away

I used to book through Priceline for all my travels. However, now the app advertises one price and then increases it when you try to book. They prices shown are not the actual prices. Just “come in” prices. Obviously this is on purpose because they could program pricing like all the other sites/apps. Also, recently I tired to book a site even though the price went from $85 to $104 when I clicked book this rate. The app wouldn’t let me go further saying that they couldn’t find the information on this hotel deal. I had to go inside the hotel and got a rate of $93 which was better than Priceline anyway. I called Priceline and tried to book, but they won’t let you. I asked to talk to tech support and they “don’t have any”. The lady did apologize 1,000 times. I felt like they were smiling at me and saying too bad that’s the way it is and laughing. Did not get a good feeling about the company. I also booked awhile back and they gave my reservation away. I traveled hours only to find I had no place to stay. Lesson learned was that hotels can give 3rd party rooms away. Bottom line is that the company hides prices in the app, when you try to book it may or may not work. Customer service will apologize and say there’s nothing they can do. You can’t book through them on the phone nor report any issues with their app.
Express deals almost always awful

The app works great and I have used it a lot. Always useful to find hotels near me wherever I am. I can get past minute lodging unless it is very late at night. It would be nice to improve the ability to find something after midnight. Sometimes when you are on the road, you need that. I need to give myself a huge reminder that the express deals are almost always super crappy. The hotels are almost always a step down from what is advertised. I have had to cancel a booking in more than one occasion because the express deal hotel was run down or felt unsafe. So note to self: pay more, know what you are getting yourself into. In sum: the app works great but the express deal features tend not to deliver a quality experience.
Priceline has a horrible costumer service

I attempt to book a flight for my 93 years old father . There is no option on the app, or site to request for wheelchair services , which is very discriminatory to the elderly , and handicap . At to make the experience more unpleasant , I book the flight with my best friends credit card , he was right next to me when price line called to confirm his information the agent had a really bad ascent , we couldn’t understand her so she repeat her self, she said thank you and Hang up in our face . I got an email saying my flight was cancelled , when we attempt to all the costumer services , there is no one to answer . This is the first and last time I ever use this company . I purchase my dad’s flight with cheapoair for 120 more , no drama , we got the call from cheapoair to confirm the owner of the credit card used , and everything was successfully processed . Stay away from Priceline even if you have to pay more .

Likewise, I have used this app for many years. And I consistently find the best rates and a wider assortment of property options here. HOWEVER, listings SHOULD include disclaimers for those properties that treat Priceline customers as “lesser” than their first-party guests. It has consistently been the case that, as a Priceline customer, I am VERY OFTEN assigned rooms in the nether regions of the hotel, given rooms that are substandard (smaller than the other rooms, rooms with known maintenance issues, rooms that are not what was advertised or specifically selected at purchase, or rooms that they would never offer their ”paying customers”). “paying customers” is the actual term that one manager used to refer to their first-party reservations! This, combined with misleading star ratings, often make Priceline shopping more of a hit-and-miss process. I highly recommend a general disclaimer stating that third-party customers may NOT receive the same options and treatment as those who directly book their rooms. It’s only fair and makes for more informed customers! More than once have I demanded refunds because of one or more of the issues listed in this review!!! I suggest that others do likewise!!!!

For the most part I’ve had good experiences. The first bad experience was a 3 star hotel,per Priceline, in MN that was really a 1.5 star per the hotel. It was so rundown, but I should have researched through the hotel before booking. I thought it was probably a fluke and didn’t give it another thought until this past weekend. I booked a hotel...based not only on stars, price, but mainly the shuttle to the airport. Hotel was nice, price was good...shuttle nonexistent except on Friday and Saturday after 3 pm. My flight left at 10 am...so I had to get a cab. So, from now on I will research the hotel on the hotel website and I will never book a best deal since there is no way to verify any information, and I can not trust that Priceline is providing accurate information. The difference in the price after having to add the cab, could have gone somewhere closer and possibly nicer. Now I know.

Buyer beware...even though you may select how many adults and children and search, the prices that come up and you pay is double occupancy only for most all-inclusives. Searched for an all-inclusive in Mexico for 2 adults and 1 child, 15. Found the place our group is going and booked a standard room with 1 double bed and a king bed. Turns out the room is for double occupancy and my daughter was not included even though the search came up with a selection that even said “recommended for your party”, my party being 3 people - or so I thought. So, the trip is in <3 weeks and Priceline tells me to contact hotel and hotel tells me to contact Priceline. Contact #3 and Priceline contacts the resort and the quote for my daughter is almost what I am paying for my husband and I for 6 nights. Still working through it but soo disappointed in what I consider to be a misleading and false site. Will be using a travel agent from now on.
Priceline Indispensable for Business Travel

I generally do not take time to write these reviews. This is probably my second one in ten years. That said... Priceline is the best way to secure quality hotels at the lowest prices. There is no other approximately or service that I know of that even comes close for value, ease of use and reliability. The “Express Deal” is a sure winner, especially for the 4- and 5-star hotels. For flights, the Priceline search and sort functions provide results far superior to Kayak and JustFly, while presenting equal or better prices, in my experience. For cars, Priceline also identifies some amazing rates, which can be especially indispensable if you’re not an elite member with the rental company(ies). Done.

The name your own price option for hotels always gets me a better deal than I can find anywhere else and on nice rooms. Priceline checks out the hotels for adequacy and they are usually big name chains, but you truly can’t get better deals anywhere. The name your own price for rental cars is easy too, but typically the prices are similar to the prices listed. As far as air, I wouldn’t risk it as the timing and connections are too unpredictable. I prefer to plan that and am willing to pay more to do so, so wouldn’t use this app for flights, but if you are more flexible than I, you will definitely get a deal... And the app itself is super easy to use... I’m a Priceline fan for sure...

I was attempting to book a hotel reservation for a night in the future and when I was looking through the hotels the app booked me for a hotel room on the night I was booking it instead of the future date I selected. I called the hotel to change my reservation to the day I was attempted to book on and they said there was nothing they could, they told me to contact Priceline. So I called priceline to speak to someone over the phone, I was on hold for over 50mins without anyone answering, there wasn’t a message staying the lines were closed or how long I would be waiting. SO NOT ONLY did I have a problem with booking my reservation, I could even speak to someone over the phone. This is the worst hotel reservation and customer service I’ve ever received. There was an opinion to give no stars I would’ve done that, in my opinion this app/company doesn’t even deserve 1 Star.
Very disappointed

I am very disappointed with Priceline. When I was searching for hotels I put in my filters that I only wanted hotels with a pool. When I did the name your price, it did not consider my filter and gave me a hotel without a pool. I called customer service and they told me there was nothing they could do. Now I’m looking forward to a very disappointing vacation because all my three year old girls wanted was a pool. I have been using Priceline for years for almost all my vacations and never had a problem until today. I usually loved all the hotels I was sent to. Update: I’m updating to say that even with no pool, the hotel was very well located and we we close to everything. We had a good time. The hotel was very clean, and included breakfast.
Priceline changes the face of travel

I travel thousands of miles a year to see my son at work as a professional athlete. It’s not always predictable. I need to find the most efficient way to travel both expediently and financially. I use the Priceline app to quickly compare rates and routes, rental cars with different drop locations and hotels that are comfortable. Priceline has changed the face of travel bringing all these areas to one place for comparison, availability and last minute access to major brands. I can look at a particular brand and then head to Priceline to see what’s being offered and it’s typically a substantial savings. Thanks Priceline for helping me get to my son as much as possible!!
No customer service

Booked an EXPRESS DEAL on an area I had NEVER spent any time & The hotel was FORTY miles away, that is EIGHTY MILES WASTED JUST GETTING TO & FROM HOTEL. After finding hotel, there were zero handicapped parking places, no ramps, and lots of stairs without railings just to get to the registration desk. When I asked for a receipt, I was REFUSED, said I would get one emailed to me from Priceline (still waiting 4 hours later). Tried to ‘CHAT’ with Priceline, no response, was able to text, but all I was able to get from the rep (or robot-it was hard to tell the difference) was that there are no changes, of refunds. And I informed them that I was unable to use the 10% discount they sent me from a previous stay. They also acknowledged that I WAS RESPONSIBLE for knowing where the hotel was located, even if I had NEVER BEEN IN THE AREA. If it were possible to leave a negative number for my review of Priceline, I would. And I am not afraid to use my name:Jeffrey Zarit

We have booked hotels and cars numerous times through Priceline, and have saved tons of money over the years. The Express Deals are a favorite go-to for last-minute bookings, especially when staying for more than one night. And, we ALWAYS book our rental cars through Priceline because it sorts the available cars by total price, regardless of the rental company it’s with. So, it saves me a lot of time going from site to site, looking for the best deal. If you’re looking to “Name your own price,” you’ll want to use the full desktop site because the app doesn't let you bid as low. Beyond that one thing, it’s all good stuff!
Be very careful

Caveat emptor. If you make any little mistake, or miss any item that pops up during your booking process, do not expect to be able to resolve the issue after the fact with support. My experience, I bid $130 for a hotel for my upcoming trip. Got the screen saying that I should up my bid, so I upped to $140 and resubmitted. Another page popped up asking for my initials. I thought the initials were to acknowledge my new bid, I entered them and resent. I was confirmed for a hotel stay of $212+. Went through support. I know taxes and fees are extra, but 50% higher than my bid seems excessive. I was told that the initials page was advising me of an extra Extra hotel fee. I had missed it. Support was completely unhelpful and I’m stuck with it. I think Priceline acted in bad faith on this transaction. I don’t need parking, internet, or use of the pool, or anything else this fee includes. Priceline support should have offered a partial refund and given me the chance to choose a cheaper option. I don’t even need a full refund, if they would have worked in good faith I would have still given them a booking. Please don’t ask me to reach out via social media. You blew your chance. Review stands.
Worst Experience Ever

I tried booking a hotel in Del Rio and after I paid for the reservation I looked at the address and found it booked a room in Sonora, TX which is an hour and a half away. This app makes no sense in providing hotels that are extensively far away in the hotel selection process. Seconds after, I called the hotel to cancel the reservation and they said to call Priceline. I called Priceline and they said they couldn’t do any refund as only the hotel could authorize it. Long story short after spending over 45 minutes on hold trying to reach Priceline’s customer service and 5 times calling back to Priceline over 3 days, my refund request was denied. My advice to those trying to download this app. Just don’t do it. My advice to Priceline, fix your app, do a complete overhaul on your customer service department, and find a solution to get my refund on my hotel I didn’t even stay at.

We used Priceline last week to book a hotel room. I paid through the app and everything was good to go. When we got to the hotel, much to our surprise a friend of ours called and paid for the room with his own credit card as a gift to us. When we called Priceline to issue a refund, they refused to do so because it was after the cancellation date. I completely understand having a policy like that in place but I feel like given the circumstances, they would be generous enough to issue the refund. Instead, they just get to keep the money for a room that had already been paid for. Such robbery!
Stranded at the airport

I have used Priceline before for many rentals and hotel but this WILL BE MY LAST TIME! After a long 6 hr flight, I picked up my luggage to then stand in line for almost 2 hours to pick up my car rental. I know this is pet traveling and accept that. What I don’t accept is the fact that after such a long wait we find out that Priceline never paid for our reservation and almost no one else has cars available for us to just make a new reservation and if the do we will be paying more then double. I took out the time to plan and pay in advance for my rental thinking that I was saving time and money but now I have wasted precious vacation time and am now stranded at the airport struggling to find a rental for the rest of the week. It’s great that I will be refunded but I would have expected that Priceline would help find a new car for me since this was their goof.
Terrible experience

I used the app to book a one night stay in Las Vegas. We have 2 people who don’t smoke so it was important to have 2 queen beds and a non smoking room. After clicking on the correct room selection, I paid like normal. I checked my reservation when it came through only to find that my room selection had been completely changed to a king smoking room. After calling customer service to have this glitch fixed, I was told I was in the wrong and ended up having to pay an additional charge to “upgrade” my room to the correct one. Customer service was not good and the woman was very eager to get me off the phone before my issues could be resolved. She could not answer any of my questions and would often cut me off to repeat irrelevant information. As someone who works in customer service, this is very frustrating.
Absolute Best App For Travel

There is absolutely no single time where I haven’t found the best deals (by a significant margin) on the Priceline app. I can check anywhere, and every single time Priceline beats it out. You have to sign up for free and become a member and then it’s time to travel. Every Vegas trip I take, Priceline crushes other sites. California... Priceline. Just planned a Jamaica trip, decided to search everywhere for the best deals and without exception, my Priceline app won the bookings. Lastly but very importantly, I really love the integrations with my calendar after booking as well as my Apple Wallet. It makes the whole process simpler and finishes it perfectly.

For the past 8-10 days we have been struggling to book a flight. I found what I want but it wouldn’t book. Your telephonic volume was high so I got on line and was quickly able to chat with Alec. He said be flight was probably sold out and the Internet posting was lagging behind. Ok, jump forward to last evening and now, that flight is still listed...same date, route, price. I am thrilled. I book...not coming up...won’t reserve. So I thought ok, I pay more. Same destination, 12+ more hours and I now noticed that I am leaving at midnight Thursday instead of reasonable 1535 for a 2 hour flight!!! I’m annoyed. Paid more, wrong time, extra hours!!! Luckily I have 24 hours to rectify but that is now another call to you!!! Don’t tell me the flight I want is still listed with a mistake due to lag time!! It’s been 10 days! Thank you
