I started to travel a few months ago and I booked a few trips through Priceline. My best friend she always uses it. Great app!

Many options or given prices are transparent, I almost always make my rental car reservations on here. I also use it many times during my cross country travel or hotels. Thank you Priceline

Express Deal Rip off
by David Meany on 2018/12/09 00:22
Make sure you read all the fine print on Express Deals. They will put you in no name roach motels saying it’s a 3.5 star hotel. SCAMMERS!!!
Where’s name your own price?
by NoNicknamexxxxxxxx on 2018/12/08 15:20
I guess it’s not the app’s fault, but I just don’t like Priceline since they got rid of name your own price. Shows they are more interested in serving the interests of the rental companies than the actual customers.
Continued Standard of Excellence
by Hotelsux on 2018/12/08 14:53
Priceline.com (really good) and then the Priceline.com App...(even better) have been my Hotel/ rental car booking choice for two years now. My work requires of me 150+ nights on the road in cars and hotels. Priceline.com quickly became the company I use exclusively and who I refer, if asked. The App is so well designed that an older guy like me can easily navigate it. It provides you three fun, unique ways to book and you can even tell them what you are willing to pay and no more...It’s on the App and it’s called Name Your Price. My favorite. On price, they consistently beat the competition (I tried all of them at least once)...and they absolutely crush direct booking prices with the hotel. And it’s not even close. Once your reservation is confirmed on the App, an email with your itinerary and hotel/car contact information instantly appears in your inbox. Regarding customer service...the best way for me to describe in my experience...is that the standard of customer service excellence is at such a level, that I’ve never really needed them to fix anything. Twice in my last 300 or so hotel/car bookings with Priceline has anything required the assistance of this professional competent group. And any issues are quickly resolved. This Priceline is a flexible, customer friendly bunch! Seriously though...before you keep booking with whoever the hell it is you’ve always used, try the Priceline App once or twice. The bargains, the easiness to use and the good customer service at the ready if need be...Priceline.com is by far the best at what they do and what they can do for you. Period.
It’s a terrible booking system AND phone service
by Ur face 2 on 2018/12/08 03:46
I was attempting to book a hotel reservation for a night in the future and when I was looking through the hotels the app booked me for a hotel room on the night I was booking it instead of the future date I selected. I called the hotel to change my reservation to the day I was attempted to book on and they said there was nothing they could, they told me to contact Priceline. So I called priceline to speak to someone over the phone, I was on hold for over 50mins without anyone answering, there wasn’t a message staying the lines were closed or how long I would be waiting. SO NOT ONLY did I have a problem with booking my reservation, I could even speak to someone over the phone. This is the worst hotel reservation and customer service I’ve ever received. There was an opinion to give no stars I would’ve done that, in my opinion this app/company doesn’t even deserve 1 Star.
Always an excellent choice
by JLW521 on 2018/12/07 23:44
Love it. I’ve used Priceline for at least a decade and been pleasantly surprised every time. Used it for flights, rooms, rental cars and even a cruise through PL and never been disappointed. Having an app makes it especially convenient.

Priceline app
by ezyapps on 2018/12/06 13:32
Quick and easy to use. But, should recommend all services to provide better details. Such as standard rooms for hotels vs double twin bed rooms. Some hotels advertise the same photo for different rooms.
Does mostly what I want/need.
by PeaceCheese on 2018/12/06 12:58
The app and service does a decent job of getting good deals on hotels. The only glitch that I’ve run into is when one of the promo codes they sent me didn’t work. I think the app interface could be better. I’d like to be able to filter results by price/user ratings/neighborhood. Also would be nice to link to a service that has safety by neighborhood. I have no idea what are good and bad areas in cities I am traveling to.

Prices Change when booking
by Maksikor on 2018/12/05 06:56
A massage appears after selecting the hotel indicating "sorry the price has changed for this hotels". Shows a lot of great options only to be let down at booking. Two stars because it's easy to navigate through the app, but if your advertising one price but charging another, that's dishonesty. I will never use them again.
Great Deals!

by ABW3another on 2018/11/30 04:41
I have used Priceline since 2011. I called to change my email talked to a customer service rep was told they would need to send me a link. Ask for a supervised. Got Reuben. He said I could use a competitor but he couldn’t change my email from Gmail to yahoo. Same name on both. I booked this booking as a guest. Please let me know if I can change my email address so I can login into my Priceline ap.

Bait and switch
by daviszo on 2018/11/27 16:45
This app/site is impossible to use. They promise you really cheap flights but you can never confirm or book a low price. They make you spend hours of your time to get a deal that doesn’t exist! I went to the site and through the app - they also don’t let you talk to a person unless you have a confirmed booking which you can’t get. The customer service number just hangs up on you. Very bad, unreliable app!
Crap App...Crap Company
by Redeemed1 on 2018/11/27 05:29
Zero pre-purchase support. Tried to book an Express Deal but it was not working. Had to "chat" with a cs rep who told me that as of 2015 they no longer provide pre-purchase support.
Always impressed

Because 0 stars is not an option!
by Dogberrytheconstable on 2018/11/26 05:22
I accidentally booked a reservation with a company that I wasn’t intending to book with noticed it right after I hit submit and got the confirmation. I immediately tried looking through the app how to cancel reservation and couldn’t find that as an option in the app or online or from the email. I called the helpline got through the whole answer robot process finally talk to a real person and when they went to transfer me they dropped the call. Then I found a little chat help box initiated the cancellation request found out after five or six interactions I’m talking to a robot and then I get transferred to Chad who says “sorry once you hit except your excepting our terms and conditions in that means no refund” I was standing in line with 50-100 people and he expected me to read the fine print on my phone. What an absolute joke! I should’ve read the reviews. After I post this one it’s probably going to get a robot response saying “sorry your experience wasn’t what you expected” or some other BS!
Easy app nice deal
by Jennpaul on 2018/11/26 02:44
The app is super easy to use, I wish it stored information like my credit card information in places I’ve already stayed. But it’s super easy I love the extra discount thank you so much Priceline
Mobile Booking price is not sticky.
by Jim O. from Dallas on 2018/11/25 23:51
I’ve tried several times to book a hotel that advertised a mobile booking rate of $35, but the price immediately rose to $59 each time we tried to book that deal.

Customer Service No. so hard to find
by Runningcontrail on 2018/11/24 22:36
Trying to book a hotel room and I have questions. There is no customer rep number only email and live chat that has generic questions and told me tovwait as I am being transferred to a live person. The Priceline no. online does not also have aive person option to speak with. So frustrating! Other hotel app has the phone icon to call for help! I have used Priceline for years and well...
Cheating... Highly Disappointed
by Koshti Ajit on 2018/11/24 18:37
It’s faking. You have given Quality Inn hotel which was not listed. In list you advertise 3 * like Holliday Inn, Best western but after booking got Quality Inn. Highly disappointing and it’s cheating. Lost trust on price line. If you are booking with Priceline then don’t trust on what they are advertising.
Can’t trust it
by WanderingMia on 2018/11/24 01:54
It’s just constantly flawed, I’ve used it several times and it’s more trouble than it’s worth. I always have to check the hotel’s website to verify the information and it’s almost always wrong. Something will say it has a pool and it doesn’t (didn’t figure that out until I was actually at the hotel) or hotels come up in my pet friendly search that are absolutely not pet friendly! I nearly booked a week for work with no back up plan at a hotel that would’ve turned me away for having my dog! That would’ve been a huge disaster for myself and the people traveling with me! With the fees Priceline’s not much if any cheaper and there’s always a problem with the booking that the hotel can’t take care of because it’s not booked through them.
Easy to use
by BigPiece42 on 2018/11/23 18:56
“It’s kinda like your mom.” Would be a tasteless joke to go after the headline, easy to use. But seriously, when traveling, I’m never disappointed with the quality and cost of Priceline.com’s offerings. It is easy to use. And like your mom, cheap. Hope that’s funny and not accurate.
Hoping to be pleased

Ap is Assessable using voiceover until you go to check out
by DexPen on 2018/11/22 21:40
Most of the application was fairly accessible using voiceover. However when you get to check out the payment stuff requires assistance of sighted people. Howard tells you is “button, button, button“… Obviously that doesn’t tell you anything as a blind person
Very convenient!
by MJ and Fam! on 2018/11/22 02:36
Very nice on road trips. Looking at the map and how many hours you want to drive and being able to pick a room on the road is very handy.
Their cancellation policies are not clear
by Kris097)1418 on 2018/11/22 01:43
I booked a Priceline non-refundable hotel booking but when I see my booking it says it is at no charge to Cancel the reservation. So I went ahead and cancelled it. But the hotel sent me an email that they are charging. So much confusion. Priceline app and website is designed poor. Because of their mistakes I lost my reservation money. Better use some other hotel booking website.
Bum deal
by first video camera on 2018/11/21 05:15
I updated a credit card on your site. The site kept going back to my old credit card. Very frustrating. I started trying to get a rental car at about 11:15 pm. I had to use a different credit card. I am cold in Cleveland an finally on the bus to the rental card place at 12:15 am about an HOUR LATER!!!!! And the price changed every time I tried to get a car!!!

Should have option NOT to upgrade
by TheRealBuffy888 on 2018/11/19 23:40
I specifically bid a star level because I didn’t want a certain hotel at a higher star level. There should be an option not to automatically “upgrade”. Based on past experience with the property, this is NOT an upgrade.
Bad customer service
by Colorado9813 on 2018/11/19 21:19
I made a reservation for a hotel through Priceline and when we arrived at the hotel nobody was there to check us in, long story short, we ended up staying at another hotel. After speaking with Priceline customer service, they informed us that they’re is nothing they can do because we were “a no show,” as stated by the hotel and the reservation is nonrefundable. I get that it was nonrefundable if we did not show or something along those lines, but at the end of the day it was the hotels fault, there was nobody there. Good deals, very bad customer service.

by Travel mind on 2018/11/18 17:53
While booking a hotel for same day arrival the app switched me to my home town and I booked a room where I obviously didn’t need one. This error was going to cost me the first nights charges! Within two minutes of realizing my error I contacted Priceline and they said too bad for you we will charge you one night in a hotel you don’t need!!!! Great policy and great customer service!!!!

Bad experience
by sukanegg on 2018/11/17 04:33
I just tried to reserve a hotel room for the express rates and Priceline said that the deal was available so I put my card in and pushed submit reservation or whatever and it tells me that it’s sold out but the deal just said that it’s available and it still says it’s available. Now I have two holds on my card for 160 or so dollars should’ve just went to the hotel website probably would’ve been less of headache than dealing with priceline .Probably shouldn’t advertise that the deal still available when it’s not. You’re not gonna keep your customers happy that way Priceline. It’s deceitful and I had to spend more money on a more expensive deal.

4 stars hotel, it was barely a 2 stars hotel
by Emipavi on 2018/11/16 20:25
They sold us a 4 stars hotel in Amsterdam, when we got there, dirty, stained , ripped carpets, old tv set, stools as bedside tables, NO outlets beside bed to plug cell phones, in the bathroom not even a hook to hang the towel. When we got in contact with PRICELINE, and informed them of the situation, the told us that, they do research on the properties they sell. And that we were wrong. I offer them pictures of the hotel, they werent interested. LAST TIME WE ARE USING PRICE LIYING LINE.

Terrible service
by Gunatt on 2018/11/13 03:53
Terrible experience booking a hotel from Priceline. Apparently they have no standard for hotels on the platform. Even if I choose an express deal I expect that a service provided by a company like Priceline to have vetted the hotels they partner with. Looking at yelp reviews of the hotel I was given for a last minute trip, almost all the reviews mentioned a pesticide problem with pictures of the bedbugs and mites. It’s a serious public health issue and also something this company doesn’t care about. On top of that the customer service is offshore and does not comprehend or ignore to comprehend any concerns of the customer. Takeaway: Avoid this service for hotels, better off using the HotelTonight App for booking hotels.

Rent car rip off
by Tamifaye7 on 2018/11/11 12:33
On 2 separate occasions I used the app for a rental car and on both occasions I specified airport pick up and was given a place offsite and had to wait on a shuttle. This last booking charged me 3x what I was quoted on the app when I booked the car! It took me 2 1/2 hours to get the car and it was a 11:00 at night so I took the car with Ace in Orlando and the car was 1/2 full of gas and the engine light cane on. I won’t book a car with Priceline again. Very deceiving.

Ridiculous, useless service
by Rmann333 on 2018/08/01 22:58
So, I booked a reservation for a car and received a confirmation from Priceline and the car rental company as well. Next day I get a call from the car rental company saying they don’t THINK they will have a car for me and will possibly not be able to tell me until I’m standing at the counter. Seriously? I’m driving out of town about 500 miles and have a deadline to meet. I then call Priceline “customer service” and through their agent and a supervisor they let me know they are not able (or interested by the sound of their voices) to help and just want to cancel the reservation. When I asked about why a reservation is not a REAL reservation, they blandly inform me that they do not have access to the car rental company’s inventory and have no idea whether a car is actually available when a reservation is made. Nor do they even make contact with the car rental companies EVER to coordinate. They just make reservations leaving the car rental companies to decide to honor the reservation or not. If the car rental company had not called me, I would have been out of luck; standing at the counter with my, uh, best intentions in my hand and no car. So I cancelled my reservation with Priceline, deleted the app and bought a plane ticket. Which was only a little more money than the car rental. Even on short notice. My summary: USELESS, RIDICULOUS, UNNECESSARY APP AND COMPANY! Caveat emptor!
Horrible Customer Service
by sogolover on 2018/01/10 17:00
I have used Priceline regularly for the last few years, booking hotel rooms through them several times a month. When there are no issues, they’re great, but the times there are issues make it unbearable. I booked a hotel using the app based on it being in a specific location, and being able to get a suite with a kitchenette at a great price. Once I received the confirmation, I realized that the hotel was located approx 20 miles away from where they showed on the map, and I had a reservation for a standard room. I was told by hotel employees that they had contacted Priceline several times regarding the incorrect information, but they had made no effort to change it. So after my family drove nearly an hour out of our way to stay in a room smaller than I had intended, I let customer service know about the incorrect information and requested a refund based on it. After a few communications with different CS reps, they have yet to acknowledge that the information was inaccurate, accept responsibility, compensate me for my inconvenience or correct the info on their site. They are intentionally deceiving their customers. Priceline’s entire purpose is to curate travel information to simplify the process for users. If I have to use other sites and apps to verify that their info is correct before using them, then they are useless to me.
Worst customer service
by jpmaze23 on 2018/10/09 18:09
I booked a hotel and made a mistake in the date. Priceline refused to refund my reservation. I called in just a few minutes after my error, they beat around the bush saying they have to call the hotel, made me wait 5 days, no one called back. I had to follow up on my own just to be told they were not going to cancel it. I’ve used Priceline for many years and to extend that kind of garbage customer satisfaction is a slap in the face, especially considering this cancellation request was escalated a week prior to the reservation, this wasn’t a last minute cancellation request. I’ve always recommended Priceline to friends and family, now I’m going to tell people to go elsewhere for failing to meet expectations and refusing to help, they refused even after I told Priceline “I’m going to rebook right after cancellation, so you’ll still have my business” no they still refused, asked for a manager and refused. Priceline your incompetence and lack of customer care has now cost you a lifetime customer. You could’ve made tons more money on my lifetime loyalty and also gained even more customers through my recommendations, but you got greed and said you practically dgaf about customer satisfaction. I’d give you negative stars if I could. This industry is far too competitive for you to treat loyal customers that way.
Easy Interface - Great Prices - Great Customer Service

I can’t say enough good about PriceLine and the App. I have used the service numerous times, so my review is based on all of these experiences. I alway check other sources for deals and I always find the best deals on PriceLine. I have used it for business and personal vacations. But what made me actually write this review rather then just rate the app, was my recent experience with their customer service. In a rush to get a reservation done while sick and mildly medicated, I accidentally made the reservation for the wrong dates. I needed it for a week later. Once I realized my mistake, I called PriceLine directly from the app. The service rep (wish I could remember his name) was professional and friendly. He contacted the hotel for me and confirmed that they could cancel the reservation for me (it was a special deal that was supposed to be non-refundable). I received the cancellation notice seconds after getting off the phone. PriceLine went the extra mile for me, and that is why I am writing this review and gave them 5 stars. Thanks again PriceLine.
Horrible Customer Service
by 🤡🎃 on 2018/06/29 08:37
I’ve gotten a great hotel on this app, but every other hotel I’ve gotten has sucked. Don’t do the express deals if you’re going to use the app at all, they’re never what they say they are. Even the guest scores are unreliable because somehow it shows they rated it well when the review they’ve given is something along the lines of “horrible customer service” “my car was broken into” “bed bugs”. When I tried to contact Priceline about a problem with my card, they insisted that the hotel would accept a card with any name on it for incidentals. The card I booked the room with had been stolen and they were saying that I wouldn’t have to show them that card, or even a card with my name on it, just any card, even after telling them that I have seen many reviews in which people were turned away for just accidentally leaving out their middle initial for the reservation, they just repeated that any card would be fine. I then asked if I could be refunded the money I bought the hotel room with so I could put it onto another card I could show the hotel, they copy and pasted the hotels refund and cancellation policy and ended the chat.
Just another unhappy former customer.
by Mt10425 on 2018/01/20 21:07
Like others have said, issues aren’t resolved. This morning I booked a room but got the month wrong. The dates were correct. I contacted customer care chat within five minutes and asked if it was possible to change the reservation dates. They said there was a cancellation fee but would call the hotel asking them to waive their fee. No manager was available at the hotel to answer for 15 more minutes. I re-contacted PL chat 20 minutes later. The new agent read the info from the previous agent and made the call. While I waited fir an answer, I called the hotel directly and talked to the manager who had PL on hold. She stated that they had no problem waiving the fee but PL was unwilling to waive their commission. Mind you, this commission would’ve happened as soon as I made the new reservation. PL said there was nothing they could do, blaming the hotel. I asked what the cancellation fee was and the said it was the total I had paid for the room, which isn’t a fee of any sort. So, for $142, they lost any future business from me and every person I talk to. They could’ve simply allowed the change in dates, lost no money and been seen as caring about their customers. These people are greedy and stupid.
Horrible Service, Deceitful practices!

I bought a first class plane ticket, my credit card was charged and my flight status was booked. A month later (3 days to departure) the airline informa me that Priceline has cancelled my reservation and if I show up at the airport they won’t let me board. Called Priceline 13 times, I kept getting transferred and then their reps would just hang up on me while I waited. Then someone told me it was fixed, but on the return leg of my round trip, the airline tells me I was downgraded from first class to economy and made me pay for my bag. Again called Priceline and had to pay long distance rate and after 14 minutes on the phone the incompetent rep could not help me, I chose to pay for the bag so that I wouldn’t miss my flight because I had to show up for work the next day. Now I am giving Priceline another show, I tried booking a flight twice, the app gave me an error “unable to book but here are other amazing deals.” It didn’t book my trip (my flight does not show up in the My Trips section of the app) however I have two $1,200 charges on my credit card. Now I have to waste another 3 hours of being transferred with a dozen Priceline reps until someone is able to help me.
Some Bugs to Fix
by Spopish on 2018/03/10 18:51
Their customer service is less than helpful. -I booked a hotel using the Name Your Price feature in the app for what I thought was the following night because we were driving home from our trip the next day. It charges your card right away, so I assumed everything was alright. After hours of driving we got to our hotel (that I thought I booked for that night) and the less-than-friendly front desk attendant said our reservation was for the previous night. I double-checked my app, and sure enough, it was booked for the previous night. I was sure I entered the correct dates when I booked. I think there was a glitch in their app. When I called Priceline to see about a refund, they were sympathetic and said they thought it was funny that the app let me book the room after midnight. When the customer rep tried to call the hotel, the hotel wouldn’t answer. Priceline wouldn’t give me even a partial refund. How often does this happen? How much money is this company making off their app glitches? I wouldn’t use this app. I guess the old adage of talking to a person is best in this situation and I think that’s what I’ll be doing in the future.
Very misleading
by Promeg on 2018/02/13 13:04
Priceline used to be a great place to get great deals until recently. The Express Deals they offer seem to be a decent deal until you select one. First off, the hotels that they say are comparable to the one you’ll be getting are actually nothing like the one you receive. I booked a 3 Star express deal that they said would be comparable to a Marriot, Hilton or Hyatt and instead got a motel that I wouldn’t even rate over 2 stars. In addition to that, when I checked in, I was told I must pay an additional $34. Priceline had informed me at the bottom of the booking conditions in tiny print that there would in fact be a mandatory fee I would have to pay. My problem with this is why did they have to put it all the way at the bottom like they were hiding it and not put it some where people could actually see it right away so you know the true cost of what your paying for. When looking at reviews for this hotel, no one had anything nice to say about it except that it was close to Universal. How it’s a 3 Star hotel is mystery to me. When calling customer service, they were unhelpful and made me even angrier.
Flights -5; Hotels- 4 and Car Rentals - 1; CS- 1 in Car Rental Issues
by Ladyjktn on 2017/12/13 14:47
I use often. Majority of the hotels have been great. Flights have been great! Car rentals have been several issues! In July 2017 car rental issue, I booked a car for Atlanta to pick up after my flight. The car rental place double booked cars out & there was no car... was on the phone with Priceline for over 3 hours of them trying to locate a rental car, why so long you ask - they kept putting me on hold for over 45 minutes at a time then switch me to different CS people. I was supposed to have been at my destination at 10:00pm and finally out of airport rentals at 10:30pm they placed in a 5x’s the amount I had originally booked a car for! They never reimbursed as they promised! I had a 3 hour drive to my destination, NO Priceline CS failed hugely! In May 2017, car rental issues in McAlester, OK. Car Rental issues in August 2016 in McAlester, OK. I don’t advise renting a car from Priceline.
No Protection Against Bedbugs!!
by kridten on 2018/06/17 03:33
My husband and I booked a hotel through Priceline so that we could attend my nephews graduation. When we arrived to the hotel, we found bedbugs on our room(some alive/ some dead). We notified the hotel staff and they refused to refund our money because we booked through Priceline. When I was waiting in the parking lot, another woman approached me and let me know that she had just found live bedbugs in her room and advised me not to stay. We knew it was not an isolated event. So, we called Priceline. They informed us that because the hotel management denied that they had bedbugs and they were not there to check that they could not refund our money ( it was a multi-night stay) I asked if they had any customer protections within their contact for live infestations and they said that they could not refund our money because the management denied the problem. We travel frequently (my husband is a pilot) and we will never use Priceline again. Thankfully, we found another hotel (not through Priceline) and they gave us a discount for our troubles. Priceline works for the hotels - not for the customers!!!
Horrible Scam Artists
by Good Bye Priceline on 2018/11/08 16:38
I have been a long time customer purchasing flights cars and hotels. I have always purchased the Trip cancellation insurance. Never needed it until today. Don’t do it folks it is a scam. The one time I finally need to change a flight and Priceline could not and would not help in any way. They sounded as if they were literally reading off a response card. I called several times hoping to get a customer service agent that would listen to the issue and try to help. Luckily I had insurance right??? One would think but wrong again. The only time the trip cancellation covers you is if you are on your death bed and in the hospital and even then you have to call them ASP in order to be covered. Very misleading. Don’t waste your money buy the better ticket if you think for a second you might have to make a change. Better yet purchase from the airline directly. Priceline told me yesterday they can’t help me they are only the middleman. Well time to cut out the middleman. Priceline you have lost a very good customer that purchases 10-20 flights a year, Hotels and rental cars.
Great app could use a little tweak.
by What names aren't taken? on 2018/08/11 15:45
I book the same hotel off the app every week. Every week I type in the location I want. Every time it shows hotels downtown Dallas when they are 3 times the price and require a $20 Uber ride. I ask for specifics in the filter ‘distance from location’ and the first time I booked, a hotel downtown popped up I thought great and booked it. Only to find out it was not close and did not provide an airport shuttle as promised. I know first world problems, but I now know I have to scroll thru to find the hotel I want. I wish when I put in the neighborhood ‘area’ it would put that area first. And the filter does not really work because you say distance closest to and it puts you 10-15 miles away I guess those hotels must pay a premium to pop up on the top. Just a warning if you are not familiar with the area check the map, the filter does not work.
Getting better
by Nowimready2 on 2017/09/04 10:13
I've been using Priceline for 15 years. Express Deals are a great way to get into a moderate to fairly high end hotel for great prices! I had 1 issue a few months ago. I had driven with moving truck to move my daughter into her apartment. I was focused on moving her and didn't make hotel reservation for me. Finally, at 11:50 pm, I'm making reservation from my phone. By the time all was confirmed, it was after midnight and the reservation had automatically changed from the Friday night I existed in to Saturday night with no way to change it back. Done deal. I was exhausted from moving all day. I spent an hour and a half on the phone to the Philippines finally getting refunded but no place to stay Friday night. That sucked, but the hotel front desk gal (who got a raving review) offered me a blanket and pillow to stay on a couch in the lobby!! Beware scheduling a reservation around the midnight hour!
They don’t take ownership of their mistakes
by Kinzmom on 2018/09/11 13:07
I was using the app to find a hotel for a college visit for my daughter. I searched and found one on the date we needed for $90. I clicked book it and when the confirmation came through it had the current date, not the future date! Immediately called customer service. They told me that it was a no cancellation/no refund deal! (I know and I was ok with that when the app showed the right dates) she said There was nothing she could do! She said maybe call the hotel and see. So she “called the hotel” and said they would allow me to cancel and rebook for the correct date but the cost was $145! What?? Your app said $90 on the correct date now I either lose the 90 I have already paid or have to pay $145. Yes that was my only option. So because the app screwed up the date...I ended up have to pay an additional $55 for a room! I seriously will not use this app again! I could have gotten better rates through the hotel direct!!
Priceline comes thru again
by Older Dinosar on 2018/10/02 23:24
I only use Priceline for booking hotels but I’ve scored every time! In fact I don’t know when the last time was that I didn’t get a hotel thru Priceline. If you don’t have any friends or family with connections to big hotels and you don’t like to pay double for a room and you don’t like to book days or weeks in advance in case your plans change and you’d like something better than a Motel 6 or Super 8 then go thru Priceline. I’ve booked the actual hotel I want or used Express Deals and have always been happy with the results... well ok there was that time in Kanab Utah where we got an awful room but what can I say, it was Kanab. We’ve never had problems checking in or getting help in getting 1st floor rooms or rooms near elevators for my handicapped hubby.
Emergency 2 days before Christmas
by PenneeO on 2017/12/26 17:01
Booked a night at the GSR in Reno, NV. For my anniversary. When I got to Reno I couldn’t stay because of a death in the family. 2 days before Christmas, on my Anniversary and the hotel was 100% full with more people wanting a room. I figure if the hotel can rent my room then I should get a refund. The hotel manager tells me to call Agoda, who the reservation was made, if they agree to refund my money the hotel wouldn’t charge them to get a refund. I call the number the hotel gives me to explain the situation and ask that they agree to refund me my money when the room was re rented. Priceline says the hotel won’t agree and the hotel manager is saying they had a deal even before I booked a room and they will still charge Priceline even though the room was rented. Its a deal take your money and they split it with the hotel. Grand Sierra Resort blames Priceline and Priceline blames Grand Sierra Resort. The only reason I give them 1 star is because the app and review system make you select one to make a review.
Long time customer, very disappointed
by Hairilicious on 2018/10/28 23:30
I have been using Priceline for YEARS. I’m a hairdresser and I tell all my clients to use them as well. It had always been my go to. Not anymore. About three weeks ago I accidentally booked my hotel for the wrong weekend and called as soon as I clicked submit, realized it too late! So I called customer care. The lady was sweet. She said that she email the third party company to see if I could change the date or have my money be refunded. Mind you, I didn’t want to cancel or my money back, just to change the dates. I was willing to pay the difference. I called on a Saturday at 11ish pm. She said I would hear something back in 2-3 business days. I called back on Monday just check that my request wasn’t being forgotten. The gentleman told me that I should hear something by Wednesday or Thursday. Friday came (day before the accidental reservation) and nothing. I called and they said that the company had not replied to them. I called Saturday and the gentleman that answered took my number and went into action and said he was going to call that other company and get them on the ball right away. He calls back and tells me that I will get an email in two business days. It has been over a week. Nothing. I have email customer service. And nothing. After using them for my hotel stays for so many years, I am deleting the app and taking my business elsewhere. I feel ignored. I was patient and I was nice.
Shatner should rethink branding his name with Priceline
by Don't believe the "sk-hype" on 2018/07/22 02:01
This company is “bush league” when it comes to customer service. I used Priceline for all my travel, 50-75 nights per year. When I needed them most, they did not come through. This is not the first time. This is a reoccurring issue. I’m done. They take your money for rooms that don’t exist, then blame the hotels when they can’t come through. They don’t understand how to handle the customer relationship, when there is a problem, they hide. They blame the hotels. Obviously, they carry no clout with the major hotels otherwise they would not hide. I’ll never trust that their bookings are solid. I am a business owner, and I hope they experience poor results to change their behavior. I also hope this review will help send customers elsewhere. There are better companies out there that “get it.” It’s unfortunate that marketing can cover for poor results. Long term, as a consumer, I hope we don’t reward companies like this. They should not survive.
Pricing errors, increases, &reservations given away
by ShadowHawk1 on 2018/06/07 14:27
I used to book through Priceline for all my travels. However, now the app advertises one price and then increases it when you try to book. They prices shown are not the actual prices. Just “come in” prices. Obviously this is on purpose because they could program pricing like all the other sites/apps. Also, recently I tired to book a site even though the price went from $85 to $104 when I clicked book this rate. The app wouldn’t let me go further saying that they couldn’t find the information on this hotel deal. I had to go inside the hotel and got a rate of $93 which was better than Priceline anyway. I called Priceline and tried to book, but they won’t let you. I asked to talk to tech support and they “don’t have any”. The lady did apologize 1,000 times. I felt like they were smiling at me and saying too bad that’s the way it is and laughing. Did not get a good feeling about the company. I also booked awhile back and they gave my reservation away. I traveled hours only to find I had no place to stay. Lesson learned was that hotels can give 3rd party rooms away. Bottom line is that the company hides prices in the app, when you try to book it may or may not work. Customer service will apologize and say there’s nothing they can do. You can’t book through them on the phone nor report any issues with their app.
Priceline has a horrible costumer service
by DanielVa81 on 2018/02/13 22:07
I attempt to book a flight for my 93 years old father . There is no option on the app, or site to request for wheelchair services , which is very discriminatory to the elderly , and handicap . At to make the experience more unpleasant , I book the flight with my best friends credit card , he was right next to me when price line called to confirm his information the agent had a really bad ascent , we couldn’t understand her so she repeat her self, she said thank you and Hang up in our face . I got an email saying my flight was cancelled , when we attempt to all the costumer services , there is no one to answer . This is the first and last time I ever use this company . I purchase my dad’s flight with cheapoair for 120 more , no drama , we got the call from cheapoair to confirm the owner of the credit card used , and everything was successfully processed . Stay away from Priceline even if you have to pay more .
Disappointed
by Site v Agent ... agent wins on 2018/03/13 21:35
Buyer beware...even though you may select how many adults and children and search, the prices that come up and you pay is double occupancy only for most all-inclusives. Searched for an all-inclusive in Mexico for 2 adults and 1 child, 15. Found the place our group is going and booked a standard room with 1 double bed and a king bed. Turns out the room is for double occupancy and my daughter was not included even though the search came up with a selection that even said “recommended for your party”, my party being 3 people - or so I thought. So, the trip is in <3 weeks and Priceline tells me to contact hotel and hotel tells me to contact Priceline. Contact #3 and Priceline contacts the resort and the quote for my daughter is almost what I am paying for my husband and I for 6 nights. Still working through it but soo disappointed in what I consider to be a misleading and false site. Will be using a travel agent from now on.
Good...but....
by RalphThompson on 2017/12/24 00:16
Likewise, I have used this app for many years. And I consistently find the best rates and a wider assortment of property options here. HOWEVER, listings SHOULD include disclaimers for those properties that treat Priceline customers as “lesser” than their first-party guests. It has consistently been the case that, as a Priceline customer, I am VERY OFTEN assigned rooms in the nether regions of the hotel, given rooms that are substandard (smaller than the other rooms, rooms with known maintenance issues, rooms that are not what was advertised or specifically selected at purchase, or rooms that they would never offer their ”paying customers”). “paying customers” is the actual term that one manager used to refer to their first-party reservations! This, combined with misleading star ratings, often make Priceline shopping more of a hit-and-miss process. I highly recommend a general disclaimer stating that third-party customers may NOT receive the same options and treatment as those who directly book their rooms. It’s only fair and makes for more informed customers! More than once have I demanded refunds because of one or more of the issues listed in this review!!! I suggest that others do likewise!!!!
Best App for travel always
by Hypcounselor on 2018/04/08 03:38
The name your own price option for hotels always gets me a better deal than I can find anywhere else and on nice rooms. Priceline checks out the hotels for adequacy and they are usually big name chains, but you truly can’t get better deals anywhere. The name your own price for rental cars is easy too, but typically the prices are similar to the prices listed. As far as air, I wouldn’t risk it as the timing and connections are too unpredictable. I prefer to plan that and am willing to pay more to do so, so wouldn’t use this app for flights, but if you are more flexible than I, you will definitely get a deal... And the app itself is super easy to use... I’m a Priceline fan for sure...
Very disappointed
by jobet138 on 2018/05/15 04:01
I am very disappointed with Priceline. When I was searching for hotels I put in my filters that I only wanted hotels with a pool. When I did the name your price, it did not consider my filter and gave me a hotel without a pool. I called customer service and they told me there was nothing they could do. Now I’m looking forward to a very disappointing vacation because all my three year old girls wanted was a pool. I have been using Priceline for years for almost all my vacations and never had a problem until today. I usually loved all the hotels I was sent to. Update: I’m updating to say that even with no pool, the hotel was very well located and we we close to everything. We had a good time. The hotel was very clean, and included breakfast.
Priceline changes the face of travel
by Dollface95 on 2017/10/23 03:18
I travel thousands of miles a year to see my son at work as a professional athlete. It’s not always predictable. I need to find the most efficient way to travel both expediently and financially. I use the Priceline app to quickly compare rates and routes, rental cars with different drop locations and hotels that are comfortable. Priceline has changed the face of travel bringing all these areas to one place for comparison, availability and last minute access to major brands. I can look at a particular brand and then head to Priceline to see what’s being offered and it’s typically a substantial savings. Thanks Priceline for helping me get to my son as much as possible!!
Poor customer service

We used Priceline last week to book a hotel room. I paid through the app and everything was good to go. When we got to the hotel, much to our surprise a friend of ours called and paid for the room with his own credit card as a gift to us. When we called Priceline to issue a refund, they refused to do so because it was after the cancellation date. I completely understand having a policy like that in place but I feel like given the circumstances, they would be generous enough to issue the refund. Instead, they just get to keep the money for a room that had already been paid for. Such robbery!

I have used Priceline before for many rentals and hotel but this WILL BE MY LAST TIME! After a long 6 hr flight, I picked up my luggage to then stand in line for almost 2 hours to pick up my car rental. I know this is pet traveling and accept that. What I don’t accept is the fact that after such a long wait we find out that Priceline never paid for our reservation and almost no one else has cars available for us to just make a new reservation and if the do we will be paying more then double. I took out the time to plan and pay in advance for my rental thinking that I was saving time and money but now I have wasted precious vacation time and am now stranded at the airport struggling to find a rental for the rest of the week. It’s great that I will be refunded but I would have expected that Priceline would help find a new car for me since this was their goof.
Business of Personal Travel, Priceline finds the best hotels at the best rates!!!
by Barack O'Malley on 2017/11/17 02:47
Ive been using Priceline for over 10 years now, mostly for business travel. I heard about it once when flying into LA from Seattle, seated in First Class. The guy behind me was recommending it to the person next to him, and I checked it out as soon as I landed. I saved way more over the years than the cost of the first class ticket. Sometimes it pays to keep an ear to one’s fellow business people. This summer, my wife and I stayed in a 5-Star hotel in Seattle (The Fairmont) for about $125/night~ the standard price for that same room was $699! That is exemplary of the power of “Name Your Own Price.”
Absolute Best App For Travel
by iluvtofli on 2018/08/04 19:18
There is absolutely no single time where I haven’t found the best deals (by a significant margin) on the Priceline app. I can check anywhere, and every single time Priceline beats it out. You have to sign up for free and become a member and then it’s time to travel. Every Vegas trip I take, Priceline crushes other sites. California... Priceline. Just planned a Jamaica trip, decided to search everywhere for the best deals and without exception, my Priceline app won the bookings. Lastly but very importantly, I really love the integrations with my calendar after booking as well as my Apple Wallet. It makes the whole process simpler and finishes it perfectly.
Your flights
by archbald64 on 2018/03/15 16:11
For the past 8-10 days we have been struggling to book a flight. I found what I want but it wouldn’t book. Your telephonic volume was high so I got on line and was quickly able to chat with Alec. He said be flight was probably sold out and the Internet posting was lagging behind. Ok, jump forward to last evening and now, that flight is still listed...same date, route, price. I am thrilled. I book...not coming up...won’t reserve. So I thought ok, I pay more. Same destination, 12+ more hours and I now noticed that I am leaving at midnight Thursday instead of reasonable 1535 for a 2 hour flight!!! I’m annoyed. Paid more, wrong time, extra hours!!! Luckily I have 24 hours to rectify but that is now another call to you!!! Don’t tell me the flight I want is still listed with a mistake due to lag time!! It’s been 10 days! Thank you
Most horrible experience ever 😩
by Latonia H on 2018/03/13 18:31
I arrived at the hotel to check in. I prepaid for my hotel room through Priceline. There were no problems with my payment or on the hotel end but the card that Priceline used to pay best western declined!!! It declined several times. The Priceline representative told the front desk clerk that it would be 1 hour before I could check in that they had to straighten things out. The clerk told Priceline that I couldn’t check in until the payment was received from them. They had to make sure they get paid. I had to go to my sister birthday dinner and because they had to do whatever I ended up waiting like 45-50 minutes then it finally worked. Priceline had to give the hotel clerk a card over the phone. I was a hour and half late for my sister birthday dinner. Not good at all!! This was the worst experience ever!!!
Best, easiest travel app to use
by Cyhebert on 2018/03/03 03:14
Been using Priceline for over 10 years and have never had a problem and always gotten exactly what I expected. Their prices are consistently the lowest, especially when I wait until the last minute. I’ve never had a problem getting a room, car or flight at a great price. I always opt to pay ahead of time and have never had any additional charges or unexpected expenses. I have literally made hotel reservations sitting in the hotel parking lot and they had it by the time I walked in the door. Highly recommend it to all my friends and family.
Great app for getting the best price
by Lady Wanderluster on 2018/09/30 12:33
It’s easy to take your time and shop around and get a feel for various areas and amenities. I’m temporarily in a wheelchair for 2 weeks and need to stay in motels. Unfortunately, many motels say they are wheelchair accessible but really only have 1 or 2 rooms...which when you phone the motel to confirm accessibility, those rooms are actually already booked! I finally found an ‘all access’ single story motel, in a good location, with in room fridge & MW AND it was way cheaper than any other place. Just keep asking for what you want and need and the Priceline algorithms will dig up exactly that.
Trip ruined and budget smashed due to over booked hotel
by KoolieDMC on 2017/10/08 02:51
I made a reservation for the Mayflower Hotel in Washington DC but at the last minute, I was sent an email telling me to call Priceline that I did not see until I went to the hotel and was embarrassed to learn that I did not have a room. After about an hour on hold, being transferred to a Marriott in Canada on one call, and when finally getting someone in their relocation department, I was offered to pay a reservation at another hotel that I would have to pay for and try to get reimbursed later. My trip is ruined and I’m having to pay way more for parking and having to drive around and make accommodations. I am very disappointed, the few good experiences with Priceline are null and void knowing that reservations don’t mean anything to them and their customer service is horrible.
Wonderful customer service
by Cllester on 2018/03/29 02:12
After a huge delay and nightmare trying get a connecting flight rescheduled with the airline who didn’t seem to have a competent call center, my fears were set to rest by Priceline’s amazing customer service. After all the hassles with the airline, I received a pleasantly unexpected call from a customer service agent with Priceline updating to all of the changes to my travel itinerary and following up to make sure I was aware and confirming the changes. How nice to get a call from a person checking in to see that I was okay with everything and keeping me informed. Thank you Priceline!
Just switched to Expedia
by KD roach on 2018/03/04 18:49
Used Priceline on recent trip to London. Searched flights for another trip this fall. Thought I had booked flight (my bad I guess), because when I went to check less than 24 hours later-nothing was there. Tried to rebook and was sent to a page that said OUCH at the top, flight no longer available. Really?! Customer service worthless. I found that if you search for flights and do not book right away, then the next time you try to book flight, prices are jacked way up. I’ll never use them again. What a scam and horrible customer service. UPDATE on your response. Right after I searched several times on my phone I did the same with someone else’s phone. Guess what? The cheap price was available on their phone. Think your explanation is BS. I’m very happy with Expedia.
Always the best service!
by stushep02 on 2017/12/03 22:00
We have been using multiple app platforms for travel for years. But no matter what we always come back to Priceline. I travel a quarter of the year and my family are huge disney fans. Regardless if it’s just a car or hotel or flight, or mixed match between them Priceline always takes care of needs. Priceline always seems to have the best price in hotels with accommodations for our son who as ASD and are always seem to sink well with our primary traveling airline. We will forever be a Priceline family whether it be for work or vacation. Thank you priceline!!!!
Bring back name your own price
by Johnf862 on 2018/03/21 02:07
The app and company has always been great to use. A specially when they had the name your own price tool . A few years ago my wife that lives in Thailand had to have emergency surgery . And I was at home in the states. Money was short for me that month but because of the name your own price tool I was able to book a flight to be with my wife when she needed me the most. But now I find that they no longer have that tool. So if anyone from Priceline reads this please bring back the name your own price tool. You never know when someone will have an emergency and need to be with a family member or a loved one . 🙏
Sold a room that wasn’t available.
by MaxwellBur on 2018/05/06 19:28
I had never used Priceline before. I booked a room late at night, got to the hotel only to find that the hotel had no rooms. I was on the phone with Priceline for over 30 minutes at 2 am trying to get the whole thing sorted and into a new room only to be told that there were no other rooms available in the whole city. I called a few hotels after hanging up and found about a dozen rooms. I had already been billed and the person I talked to on the phone said that the charges would drop off tomorrow. It’s tomorrow, they’re still there. I will never book with Priceline again after this terrible experience. Terrible customer service, no effort to get us into a different room at the same rate. And now I’m doubting that I’ll ever get the original booking rate back.
Awesome
by John till death on 2017/11/15 01:07
I've used this app for years. It's been great up until they changed their “name your own price” policy. Say you see a 4 star rated place single rooms in express deals for $90....well if you choose to name your own price for 4 star hotels and the lowest you can bid is say $136... Now they sell you the express hotel but at the increased price. So instead of saving money on name your own price, you actually risk paying more for the same hotel. It took over an hour talking to customer service before they offered me 5% off my next express deal hotel... so yeah. I’m going to start using a new company. Priceline ripped me off. Instead of saving money through their “deals” it cost me an extra $40 and they didn’t help me at all. Been using this service over a decade. This is super disappointing. Your loss
Horrible costumer service
by Fitgal1 on 2018/07/17 13:53
I was mislead on the room I booked. It was supposed to be a king with queen and pull out and they had us down for a king for 4 people. (Didn’t even know that was legal) I spoke to 4 different people from Priceline one being a manager I was told by 2 that I would receive a refund and 2 that I wasn’t going to receive a refund. Clearly 4 people don’t fit in a king so we had to go to another hotel and pay for another room. After I spoke to the manager Gary I asked who his manager was and he told me Bret Keller and when asked for his contact he told me he wasn’t aloud to give that info so after I looked it up I’ve emailed him twice and NO response. Sad to say we had to pay for 2 hotels. They are not working with me or responding to me to those looking at reviews all I can say is I will NEVER use Priceline again.
Misleading for families
by MomIn1565 on 2018/07/22 14:01
My husband searched for a room on the website for 2 adults, 2 kids for our upcoming trip and found a room that looked like it would be a good fit, with 2 beds and at the right price. After getting the confirmation, we realized that it had switched to a 1 bed. We called the customer service line, but found out we would have to pay additional $$ to get the original 2 beds we searched for. Apparently, the app defaults to 1 bedroom (there’s not even a search option for beds). The website does ask for # of people (in this case 4) and still changed the reservation back to 1 bed, 2 adults. This is extremely confusing and misleading to customers with families or anyone who would need more than 1 bed.
False Advertising!
by Wrongful Company on 2018/07/14 13:41
We booked our room for 3 nights and when we got to the hotel after a 2.5 hour drive it was absolutely UNLIVABLE!! The beds were sunken in, the desk was rotting, the bathroom was filthy with black hair all over and the room was overall smelly and dirty. I called Priceline and explained the situation. They supposedly called the hotel and the hotel refused to give a refund. This is my complaint: my money was taken out of my account by Priceline. They should be the ones responsible for making things right for THEIR customers. If there is a hotel that is UNLIVABLE they should make an apology, give a refund and take that hotel OFF their list. Now I am out my money with nowhere to stay. I will NEVER use Priceline again and I will urge everyone I know not to use them as well. False advertising from a company is BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES!!
Our #1 hotel rental app.
by Pyyhons1 on 2018/02/12 17:45
My wife and I use this app several times a year, 99% of the time they have the lowest prices n hotels, where we usually travel. I have already booked with them once this year and will be using them again throughout the year. If I had any complaints at all, it would be that when booking in Florida at a lot of the beach locations, all of the fees are not included in your price. It’s annoying that when you arrive at your location, you have to shell out another hundred dollars or more for resort fees. I’d rather pay it all when I book, up front, not another fee when I show up.
The app vs. the service
by Al_folger on 2018/08/10 20:10
The app is reasonably easy to use and feature complete. But it’s data refresh is poor. When scrolling through a list of hotels, the price you see may NOT be accurate. You have to select a particular hotel AND click the button to start the booking process to force the rate information to update. At that point, it may be the same as displayed in the list—and it may not. And even after all that, you may get all the way to submitting payment before being rejected due to the deal being sold out. And God forbid you have a problem with a reservation you’ve already made and have to call Priceline on the phone. Be ready to be on hold interminably and get transferred around to the intermediaries they use to book your reservation.
Months now, Still haven't resolved my issues !
by AR Frustrated on 2017/09/28 14:27
Worse Customer Service and Follow Though!!!! I had to make several communications and follow ups as Priceline promised to respond with a resolution, yet they don't respond. 3 months later, still no response. I pursed a round trip eith multiple flights and purchased insurance. I was injured and had to miss one of my flights. I filed a claim. Found out that Priceline only sold me (acting as Agent) insurance for the first leg ad not the entire trip. I had to purchase a separate ticket to continue with my trip the next day. Priceline did not offer to compensate me for their error. They would find a solution and contact me within 30 days. Multiple follow up calls and requests for elevated management, still nothing months later...TERRIBLE!!!!

Express Deal Rip off

The process of making any type of reservation is easy and then I love the fact that with a simple button I can add the reservation to my calendar. The reservation also goes into your suitcase icon is fantastic, great job for making the entire process simple.

Just booked using express deal for the first time. I choose a 4 star deal and will be staying at Hyatt Regency in Greenwich. Glad I did this. I saved a LOT of money. Staying 2 days 1 night for 240.98. Nope can't beat that price. Way to go Priceline.

Please let me know if I can change my email address so I can login into my Priceline ap.

by daviszo on 2018/11/27 16:45
This app/site is impossible to use. Very bad, unreliable app!

by Dogberrytheconstable on 2018/11/26 05:22
I accidentally booked a reservation with a company that I wasn’t intending to book with noticed it right after I hit submit and got the confirmation.

Easy Interface - Great Prices - Great Customer Service
by IllinoisCountryBoy on 2018/03/11 23:20
I can’t say enough good about PriceLine and the App.

Poor customer service
by Nicole Scruggs on 2017/11/09 20:33
We used Priceline last week to book a hotel room.
Stranded at the airport
by Roman140 on 2018/04/28 20:39
I have used Priceline before for many rentals and hotel but this WILL BE MY LAST TIME!

The app vs. the service
by Al_folger on 2018/08/10 20:10
The app is reasonably easy to use and feature complete.
