Endlessly disappointing
by Jentropy on 2020/08/12 21:32
For a very brief period, I was able to upload photos. But you broke it again in one of the recent updates. I honestly don’t do much worth Wordpress except make blog posts with pics. But now pics won’t upload. Two suggestions: 1. Allow users to resize at time of upload. iPhone pics are enormous and I don’t need to upload an 8mb pic. 2. Provide more detailed error messages when uploads fail.
Poor app

Its a poor app I uploaded a picture and it says complete but once I publish it it disappears! , I contacted there customer service several times but still no solution given , my work has been effected by this issue , so i give it 0 star
WOW - I’m starting to believe this is a SCAM
by Ashleyaaag87 on 2020/08/06 21:59
This site intentionally makes every step unnecessarily difficult. It’s incredible! Now, when I signed up, I was prepared to be “tricked” into paying for something and then finding out that there’s some dumb process in order to receive a refund ... usually the amount is so low, most people just don’t feel like going through the “hassle”. This company ALSO has had me log in multiple times, get routed to the wrong page after clicking on their link upon looking up how to change my Primary Domain page... the page was similar so it was obviously intended to frustrate the poor soul to click on the link through their “Support” tab. I’ve received error messages that my purchase didn’t go through...Thought that everything I saved was deleted... This is just Day 1!! Seriously though, are you guys just bored? Making a profit just ain’t what it used to be? Get your stuff together.
It's pretty much unusable
by Tania N. Arpa on 2020/08/06 13:11
I've had this app on my iPad pro (it's about a little over a year old) and I've never been able to upload a draft post or publish a post to any of my WordPress websites. I see stats, I see published posts, I see drafts I've saved from where I wrote them on a browser. But every time I try to publish a post or even save the draft it keeps giving me an error message. No matter how many times I delete and reinstall the app, it never works. it's pretty much just junk taking up space in my iPad. (Yes my os is always up to date)

Buggy and unreliable
by Steven Dempsey on 2020/08/01 06:35
While I certainly appreciate all the work the developers have done on this app, it still remains really buggy. With each update, something gets resolved but nearly every time, something else breaks. The latest bug is preventing me from approving comments. When I approve, it immediately returns to unapproved status. Same with spam. If I flag a comment as spam, it almost immediately returns to its original, unspam status. It’s quite frustrating. EDIT: In response to developer questions - I am logged in as the administrator and it is a personal blog using Jetpack, hosted by Bluehost.
Image/Media uploads are not working at all
by BrittinaSaurus on 2020/07/30 22:06
This feature used to work but it is no longer working. I tried adding media in a new blog, existing blog, and just adding media seperately and it does not work. I have read/write access on media. I’m not sure why this doesn’t work all the sudden.
Wow, 😮
by جمال ناصر الشحي on 2020/07/30 07:07

I’m being generous
by dsrtrosy1 on 2020/07/13 17:24
This app is practically useless. I am stuck without a computer, which apparently means I have no access to my website because the Wordpress app doesn’t give me access to any of the details I need.
It fully functional for iOS
by GRockyCouch on 2020/07/10 22:10
This is not a very intuitive app, and is not fully functional in the iOS version. If you have an iPad of use a iMac, log onto the web version for fully functionality and to follow the training videos. I can’t recommend for iOS devices.

Issues with media upload
by drainbead on 2020/07/02 14:49
For several months now, the media upload function has been spotty at best. The only thing I use this app for is to upload photos from my phone; I write posts on the desktop version. I have to make multiple attempts to upload photos without it timing out. The bulk upload NEVER works, and a single photo may require 4 or 5 attempts before miraculously uploading. It's frustrating because my blog is very much photo-based, and I can't get the images from my phone to my media library any other way.

It keeps crashing
by Suga👾 on 2020/06/21 16:23
I have been using this app for a week and it keeps crashing no matter how much I have reinstalled it. It’s still the same. On the other hand, I liked this app because it is quite interesting that we get to do blogging and share our interest with the rest.

The WordPress app is excellent for improving my productivity.
by vsatips on 2020/06/09 19:33
Updated Review on June 9, 2020 I just updated this app ran into a pretty big bug in the beta version involving the 'My Sites' tab. Typically I have 8 or 9 websites that I maintain using WordPress. What I found listed under the 'My Sites' tab were maybe 50-100 websites listed there...all of them were mine. But since I really only have 8 or 9 sites, all the others were merely duplicates. __________________________________________________________________ Original Review Entitled: I love the WordPress app because it's improved my productivity...a lot! __________________________________________________________________ WordPress has created the best mobile app for working on your website...bar none. I should qualify my statement to read (at least amongst all those that I tested) for website creation. Some of the WP ios app's best features include: • The WP app is generally fast and responsive • There's a great widget for checking stats • The WP app is robust enough to mange a lot of websites and blogs all at once. • The WP app is very easy to navigate and use. • You can use the Reader feature (which offers a simple RSS utility) from right within the app. As of June 9th 2020 almost everything involving the WP app works well now... (well almost everything...) There are only a few tiny things left that I need to use their web-based browser editor for now. Ideally, if those functions were added to the app, I'd never need to use a browser for editing or adding content to my sites again using an iPad. Some the missing features listed below might or might not be available to you...because it’s quite possible or even quite probable that I simply haven't found all of these features yet. 1. The ability to edit a post's excerpt prior to posting. 2. A fast and easy way to access the short URL for posts and pages 3. Menu management...each time I add a post I manually add it to the menus for my vsatips website too. A few tiny bugs currently exist...for rarely used things. One is if you try to use the Share extension when in Preview mode the app crashes.
It’s okay but not okay enough
by Blueridgeworkshops on 2020/06/08 17:55
I find that a lot of the functions I use on the desk top just don’t translate to the ipadpro app. Media is one area where I want to embed a video from youtube but there just is no way to do it. That is only one issue. I also have the app lock up on me. I have a fully loaded Ipad 11 Pro 2018 running the latest ios system. I have run into lockups when trying to refresh. I have to shut down the app and then reload it. It’s okay for what it it but does not come close to the desk top version.
App is useless for anything other than viewing

Glitches
by drchula9 on 2020/06/08 01:20
I love the wordpress app. I can write my thoughts from anywhere and continue on my laptop later. However since the last 2 updates I’ve noticed that my drafts dont update as posts from the app even though I’ve posted from my laptop. I cant also see scheduled posts because they still say drafts on the app. Please fix this asap. It makes it difficult to stay on track if i cant see what ive already done. Thank you!
Getting better all the time
by Rebecca Ruano on 2020/06/01 04:50
This app is leaps and bounds more useful than just 4 months ago when I uninstalled. I’m glad to see the leader in website creation is catching up in their app. My first complaint is that it is way too easy to accidentally delete what I’m writing by simply trying to scroll and I can’t find an undo option. My second complaint is that I can’t go to the next line, they call it ‘enter’ on PC. I can’t get the hang of ‘return’; it does not just go to the beginning of the next line. How do I do that, go to the beginning of the next line? It’s probably very simple. Thank you for the recent updates!
Distracting mess
by Anomalogue on 2020/05/31 13:01
This review is not about the app in whatever state is happens to be in at the moment, which is certain to change in a week or two. It is about the atrocious product management of this app, which prioritizes changing it as rapidly as possible over keeping it stable and reliable. Every single time I try to write something using the Wordpress app in iOS, some bug or usability error in the interface distracts me from what I am trying to write. Wordpress has been one of my core thinking tools for over a decade, but in the last two or three years it has totally fallen apart as a product. It now prevents me from thinking if I’m foolish enough to try to use it.
Ambitious but buggy app
by jeflebol on 2020/05/28 13:11
This is a very ambitious app in its scope— it is trying to replicate all of the features of WP web experience. Unfortunately, the feature set is so large and the scope footprint is very complicated for Wordpress. As a result, while this app has some great features and is easy to navigate, it is some extordinarily annoying bugs, especially when using it on my iPad with an external keyboard. The sections don’t expand as I type, puting my cursor into “invisible space.” It can be very difficult to touch-select my cursor to the right spot. It has strange glitches and gets into strange states where it needs to be restarted. If it didn’t have these bugs, I’d give it a 5. I’d really like to see it stay in the App store and improve but for the time being it is a sub-par experience to working on the WP web on my laptop, so this app is not for me for that reason.

Junky app - won’t upload
by JoyOmJoyOm on 2020/05/23 18:44
I spent an hour writing a post, only to find that it “failed to upload.” My first clue should have been when uploading a simple photo to my post also “failed to upload.” I was excited about using this app with my new iPad. That excitement is now disappointment. I tried “save as draft” — won’t work. I finally had to cut and paste and go to a different platform. Please don’t even bother responding to this review, as I am deleting this app and will never use it again.
Recent updates are amazing
by kailcleo on 2020/05/22 04:37
Thank you for the recent updates!!! I actually think it’s easier to use than the website- which is great but I hope the website also gets better and Wordpress doesn’t become an app only thing...for longer posts I love to use my laptop and the web version because it easier to type a long post, but right now id rather type it on a google doc or something and copy and paste on my phone using the app. It’s very user friendly and the interface has been updated so much- it’s finally worthy of using and enjoying it. Before, the app looked so outdated and had limited capabilities- it’s finally been updated so you can virtually do anything you can online using your phone. I had some trouble uploading images but I believe this was an issue with a plugin and it was fixed. Sometimes the publish button doesn’t work properly and I have to save as a draft and go to my computer to publish, but I’m confident that has been fixed with the newest update (just downloaded so fingers crossed). Thank you sooo much for finally giving the app the attention it deserves!! Especially for the many creatives who use Wordpress, it’s important to be able to create and update our pages and posts on the go when we are inspired. So many times I have ideas that get written down in my phone notes and they never get turned into posts like i planned to- now I can open it up and make sure it gets done the minute I’m inspired. Thanks again!
A Failure of an App
by B. C. Spines on 2020/05/21 18:48
I love Wordpress and I’ve used it every week for almost five years. However, the app is abysmal. It fails to even provide me with the most basic features of a blogging site. It lags. I hate the “blocks” set-up. I have no option to “center” text. One time, it deleted an entire draft I had saved. It’s often glitchy. Avoid using the app at all costs. Wordpress on desktop is far superior.
I Used To Love This App But.....
by SimsOwnAll on 2020/05/20 10:27
It has gotten so CONFUSING to try and edit a layout. Not to mention that the layout I chose doesn’t show up correctly on the computer but yet it’s perfect on cellphones. How do I know? I’ve tested my blog on multiple computers and cellphones. I am leaning toward deleting this app and either getting another app, just Justin’s my computer to blog or buying my own site to blog. Why do you have to be so confusing Wordpress???
Ehhh... Its ok but Needs more
by ddrdoc on 2020/05/17 11:40
I kinda agree with everyone else in that there's no features that couldn't have been put on a static HTML page and ported over as a "Mobile App". I mainly use Jetpack now to consolidate all my sites to login quickly back and forth. Also the downtime monitor is nice even though it sends me an alert every 10min, better too much than not at all right. Only thing bugs me is your company Automattic is like a founder or something of Wordpress. your domain is WordPress.com for God sakes. So maybe it would be cool to see you guys/gals on the cutting edge of the WP world. I'm sure anyone in the industry would be more than happy to help you in any sort of way. Make something Amazing please.... If not, I can buy your domain from you for $69 if you want lol JK...
Useless
by Annok1994 on 2020/05/15 02:43
There is no way I could recommend Wordpress as a solid CMS if users can’t even edit their site while away from a computer. I am on the verge of potentially losing a client because I am unable to remove a simple line of text. Yes I installed Jetpack and every time I pressed update, nothing actually updates. Unbelievable that we are in 2020 and Wordpress can’t even get their software up to speed. Disappointed!

Lists/bullet indentation
by Joooooooooa on 2020/05/13 14:24

Keeps crashing, won’t upload some pictures
by MusicCate on 2020/05/12 05:14
I really liked this app for my iPad Pro when I got it, but now, with my third generation iPad Pro, it is crashing constantly. I add pictures to my blog, and it either takes forever to load, or it doesn’t load them at all, or it loads them, and they disappear when the blog is published. I keep hoping for an upgrade that will fix these glitches, but not yet.

Local Changes? Bug
by Sprockethead1 on 2020/05/11 17:41
What’s with the ‘local changes’ note on some posts? How do you tell what has been committed and what hasn’t? Why doesn’t it update the post? Especially in a supposedly scheduled post. This bug just caused a post to go live at the wrong time. This is an app that one can not rely on.

Does not upload photos
by mybestwifelife.com on 2020/05/09 15:42
No matter what I do, I my photo uploads FAIL every time I create a post. Despite the rest of the app working, the fact that I am unable to upload photos to my blog post makes this app completely useless to me. The best I’m able to use it is to create the post and save as a draft and then log into my desktop later to add the photos and publish, which is a huge pain. If someone could post the solution to this, I will gladly update the rating to five star. Until then, this app is worthless to me.

App is glitchy yet but somewhat functional
by SophomoreHS on 2020/05/06 00:13
Downloaded this because I have long commutes and figured I might as well be productive and work on some posts. At first glance, this app seems to have all the features of the web version. however, once you begin to use it you’ll find it’s very glitchy, with the keyboard jolting up and down, buttons becoming unpressable, the scroll zooming to different parts of the page, and even deleting paragraph blocks! I lost an entire 1000 words for no reason but I was able to recover it in the history. I have an iPhone 6, but I’ve never experienced glitches like this on other apps so I wouldn’t chalk it up to that. Also, it absolutely kills the battery life. Don’t open the app on 20% because you’ll only have a few minutes. I haven’t tried wordpress on safari but it might be better than this; I’ll have to see. however, the app is functional if you’re doing nothing for a long period of time and don’t have access to a computer. Use at your own risk!
Glitchy, crashing app

Super buggy
by evoskuil on 2020/04/26 10:49
Gets in to a mode where it fails to update a post and will then crash on every attempt until the app is deleted and restored. The new editor cannot view posts with either the old mobile editor or the desktop. Fails to recognize certain basic edits created on the desktop version. You can first create a paragraph on the mobile app and then edit it but don’t try creating paragraphs in the reverse order.

READ. Wordpress app is absolutely TERRIBLE.
by CarlosHathcock on 2020/04/23 16:31
Can’t even log in to the app. Sent a “log in link” to my email. Email states that the link logs me directly into the app. All it does it take me to the wordpress website to log in. Logging in through there does nothing for the app. Signing in by password instead prompts a verification code to be sent via text. No codes are sent, even after clicking the resend button COUNTLESS times. Restarted the app. Tried to log in by password once again, now it’s saying incorrect password. Password is not incorrect and works on the website. I reset my password. Still says incorrect when trying to sign in on the app. Deleting and never re-installing. Cancelling all of my subscriptions and never recommending anyone to use this app.

by LittleMaster on 2020/04/15 17:13
App is perfect to manage your WP website, just couple of issues which I am sure Devs can fix easily. 1- When a contributor log in to app the app show Publish button as well which is not possible for a contributor to publish, they can only save as a draft, so now I have to tell each of my contributors to not press publish (because when they do app show an error failed to publish, and no reason) and I have to guild them through how to Save. 2- Same when a contributor logs in and goes to pages the app keep on saying fetching pages. Please fix these issues and this app will be perfect 😊 thanks

Wordpress is amazing but the ipad app is terrible
by evadaa on 2020/04/12 17:49
Please, I beg you fix the issues with ipad version of Wordress. I prefer to write my blogs in cafes and I am not wiling to carry a laptop with me so I carry around my ipad with an attached keyboard to do all the typing. I have been unable to use it properly because I have 8 websites shown of which 1 is duplicated but long time deleted and the other 2 have been cloned. Sometimes I type something up and it won’t sync or post and then I just may forget where the draft was kept and it creates a mess. Please, just fix this already.
Bugs

Works fine without Jetpack
by zenpop on 2020/04/11 18:42
I was misinformed about this app needing Jetpack to function — thus I am updating my review. What threw me initially was my impatience the first time I launched the app — it took a long time for my posts (ten years worth) to show up. So be patient. This makes editing my site while away from my office much easier. Recommended!
👌🏻
by Kmrossi444 on 2020/04/05 15:46
I’ve been using the Wordpress app to run my blogs for 3 years now while out and about without access to a computer. My only complaint would be how hard it was to find the “customizer” feature on the app.
Really awful on iPad
by Eric Thomas Craven on 2020/04/04 13:49
Just got a new iPad Pro and couldn’t wait to start editing my site on this beast. Went to one of my pages with image galleries...Visual Mode only shows paper clip icons. Nothing like editing a website blindfolded. Found a workaround: checked out Wordpress on safari from the same iPad and you can actually see live previews as you edit (like I’m used to on the Mac wp app). So, this just boils down to lazy app development. Don’t waste your time on this one, folks. 👎👎

Oh god now these kind of posts are disappearing from reader's feed as well. As if making them unviewable on the app is not bad enough. Really, Wordpress?

Functionality is almost null
by oh.dani.gurl on 2020/04/01 13:40
I have been trying to start a blog and it’s as if it doesn’t want to recognize actions. It’s glitchy now, when it wasn’t. It freezes, restarts and at times doesn’t want to even update my own page.
Doesn't upload photos and deletes progress
by jenjencal on 2020/03/28 19:47
This app is not uploading any of my photos from my phone, plus it deletes my progress on writing even though I save as a draft and update the draft. It is completely useless if I can't write a blog on my phone without it deleting my words and won't let me upload photos from my phone. How is this not functioning? It's 2020 and it can't even upload photos and I'm tired of losing everything I wrote. It also doesn't have an option to auto-save either. Ridiculous.
Not impressed
by imabuissnessowner on 2020/03/22 19:47
This app is so limited, I can’t control any of the parts of my website I need to through this app therefore the app is pointless.
Have deleted
by DRavenloft on 2020/03/22 16:07
I’ve had the Wordpress app for *years* starting back when the 1st ipad was a hot new item. Today I’ve deleted the app. And while my star score for it has been declining it’s now a 1-star and I’d give less if I could. It’s fancier now than it was, but it’s all but useless. The block editor is distracting and confusing. I haven’t the slightest idea what it does to shortcodes but if I want to use them I have to go to the site instead. It’s lost functionality over time and got nothing to make up for that. I’m done. I’m sorry, sincerely, to the devs whose feelings this may have hurt. I’m sure you work hard, but maybe take a step back to the early days of this app, see what it could do, then look at it now. It’s very pretty but it’s just not the same in some very irksome ways. I wish you the best but I’ll just deal with SMS 2SA & browser editing. Thanks for the ride, it’s been weird
Awful Update
by Cutie_4_evs👸 on 2020/03/21 19:23
The update is not user friendly at all. I can not find basic functions that I could do before, making it difficult to write. Way more complicated than it needs to be. Miss the old version!
Says published but stays in drafts
by Newer Reviewer Tour on 2020/03/17 01:41
For self-hosted sites not using JetPack this app can be frustrating. Published posts never move from drafts to posts in the app.
What is going on with this app?

UNDEFINED phrase deletes text in blog post
by Icosace1022 on 2020/03/16 21:58
After writing several sentences in a text box, if one taps update some of the text will always disappear and be replaced with an UNDEFINED phrase instead. Please fix this glitch or make the ussr exactly aware of what is happening, because it’s very frustrating to write everything again even though one has just saved by updating. Thanks
Recent versions unusable
by Summeryeah on 2020/03/11 02:42
I used to love this app and to use it for blog writing all the time. But with the last version (and today’s new updated version) as soon as I start writing a new post in the app, the connection to the sever is lost and I can’t upload media or the post unless I reconnect through a VPN. And this connection breakdown will last for maybe a few hours before I can access my blog (using web browser or use the built-in view site function in the app) again without a VPN. But if I try to write new post again in the app, I immediately lose connection to the blog again and have to use a VPN.
I want to cry
by Aupair1995 on 2020/03/08 18:43
I loved Wordpress.com so much. I went to start a new blog only to realize they stripped everything I loved about it and put it behind a pay wall. Now I don’t know which site to choose to host my new blog :( but it won’t be the confusing mess Wordpress.com has become.
Wordpress app
by MarthaMichael on 2020/03/06 16:48
A few years in, still love Wordpress. They make it better all the time. Now that I have a little bit of a hang of how Wordpress works, I'm in love. Thanks for asking. One year later, I'm still in love. Still in love with this app.
Nice try but hard fail
by Peeble24782 on 2020/03/06 16:18
When the content the user adds on the website, doesn’t match the content added to the app...that’s a fail. When iOS is not supported on the app, that’s a fail. iOS and Wordpress are not new...developers should have a handle on that by now. Not user friendly, it just doesn’t work.
Cant post

Works well except for dark mode bug
by ul on 2020/02/27 23:58
This app works pretty well, and is easy to use. Only problem I’ve noticed is when you’re typing a draft blog post in dark mode, you can’t see the text you’re writing until you turn off dark mode. Please fix! Update: Thanks for the developer response. To help you reproduce this (still happens on the latest version) - here is what you do: 1. Switch to dark mode. Start writing a new post in the WordPress app. Classic editor. 2. Go to your photos library and copy a photo. 3. Switch back to the WordPress app and paste the photo in. 4. Now start typing text below the photo and watch as you can’t see what you’re typing.

Only one missing feature
by joeleck on 2020/02/20 21:03
I’m a long time WordPress.com user. Love using it to build my websites and the iOS app is awesome! BUT the app is missing one pretty BIG feature... the ability to login with more than one (multiple) WordPress.com accounts and easily switch between them; much like the feature most social media platforms such as Twitter, Instagram, etc have. I would love to see this feature added to the iOS app as it’s long over due!

In general i dont like apps. It’s the icon god to a program. But forced into some things. I’d prefer if all companies took their time, made sure all changes through apps to iPads to software updates to those were all compatible. Why make tiny update to things to accidentally leave something off every few weeks? Then have to have a million bug fixes? So for ipad I cannot see some of my pics to edit them. But can see on the post. And i have looked at all things to turn off and on. I no longer have ability as of few months ago to edit or add other features. Like main picture. Add to my headings pages etc. They no longer exist in any menu?? In new blog or edit blog. The page itself has were these categories exist but now while creating or editing a blog. I am using a free version though. Oddly to get the “visual” view to show I also ave to turn it to http to force it to flip to visual by clicking it back. If I dont do that toggle off and on, all is shaded. It’s not a choice. It’s just gray until I got back and forth to get it to be not gray?? Thats dumb.
you call it a free app?
by zlovestny24 on 2020/02/17 21:11

Ver. 13.1 stats not showing for the current day
by dk94402 on 2019/08/27 13:59
I updated my iPhone and iPad to 13.1 (had to completely reinstall the app on my iPhone a few days ago when an earlier version 13.0? was released...). It is about 6:50 AM on August 27th. The Stats display still only shows stats up through 8/26 on the iOS app for both iPhone and iPad. If I use a web browser on a laptop and visit my site stats, I can see stats correctly up through 8/27, but not in the iOD version. I tried to open a chat session with you on my laptop to inform you of this, but it wasn’t connecting to anything, so, sorry, but I had to use this route for feedback. Hope you see this report!!! P.S. - My time zone is set correctly to Los Angeles in both the iOS and web versions. The latest iOS version history mentioned changes to the time zone setting, so I think this change was not thoroughly tested. PLEASE MOVE SLOWLY AND DO NOT BREAK THINGS!! Facebook’s software development philosophy is total crap!
Limited functionality
by honogica on 2019/10/16 16:29
Yes, it’s a mobile app, and ten years ago that would have justified its limited functionality and beta-like business, but not any more. The phone I use today has twice the computing power of the desktop computer I had when I first used WordPress. There’s simply no reason a Mobile app doesn’t have the same options I can get access to through a desktop computer. Add to that it’s inability to communicate properly with the desktop site (like how it almost never recognizes posts started, scheduled, or even published from the desktop) and it’s annoying built in bugs (it’s actually designed to pick up already used tags only after you type at least two letters (really? If I have to remember at least the first two letters then I’m actually forced to memorize them all... so what’s the point?). I suggest the top brass as WordPress use only this app for all their publishing needs for the next month. I’m certain we’d see some improvements. Until then I’ll just fumble through this as best I can going back and forth between app and desktop because, frankly, the website isn’t exactly mobile friendly. But then, neither is the mobile app.

Perfect for blogging on the go, but...
by ThatDamnHoney on 2018/10/24 23:45
Being that I tend to work on my iPad and not a laptop like most bloggers I know of, having this app really makes it easy for me to do just that. I do have a couple of suggestions. While I realise not everything that can be done on the browser can be possible on an app, I’m still suggesting: 1) Please integrate Gutenberg into the app. It’s been a bit messy going back and forth from browser to app without the integration. 2) Please integrate a way to adjust the uploaded photo size. Not just the display size but the actual image size. Sometimes, it can only be downloaded into one giant resolution that isn’t necessary for the size of blog content and it could help with storage and bandwidth issues. Thanks! Truly enjoy WordPress.
Lacking features from the full site
by Fawfulfan on 2019/01/18 17:14
I use this app for work because I'm frequently on the go and away from a computer, and for whatever reason accessing the site from iOS Safari makes it impossible to save anything into the body text form. While this app is a lifesaver and easy to use for the most part, I'm continually frustrated by how many features from the main site are missing. For instance, there doesn't seem to be any way to assign authorship to a blog post in the app, and nor does there seem to be any way to edit metadata in the media library. I can live with the fact that embedded social media cards and iframes don't display properly in the text form while writing, but it would be nice if posting a raw url in the app's text form automatically converted it into an html embed. Another problem with the app is that it seems to have caching issues. Tons of drafts that have already been published stay visible in drafts, and keep accumulating the longer I use the app without deleting it. I hope solutions to these things are in the pipeline.
Just another social media site
by Packerbacker_1977 on 2018/10/31 22:04
I’m making this brief (short memo, pun intended because it is a writing app) because if I had been asked to write a review 3 months ago I would have given it 3 stars. However, upon closing out and deleting my account over a week ago, now I’m receiving spam from one of their 3rd party partners or at least I hope it’s spam, otherwise, the alternative is Wordpress has a security breach and my data has been compromised. In case you are wondering, TrustPilot sent me an email to the email address in Wordpress’ possession thanking me for a recent purchase (good luck with the payment as the debit card used was prepaid and now has $0 value) and asking me to review Wordpress’ based on a ‘free’ gift they were mailing me. How could I receive a gift since I have deleted the account and if I hadn’t deleted the account why did it take 3 months before I was told of the free gift but if there an honest to god free gift, ever, then why is Wordpress partnering with a party just to solicit a response by offering a made up item. You can’t really trust any of these social media sites.
Erases progress, does not sync with desktop site, saves without prompting
by DNBoswell on 2019/06/16 02:54
I used this app yesterday to edit my blog. Later that evening I did more writing and a editing on my desktop as I have done reliably for years. I loaded the app today to pick up where I left off. Not only did this app NOT load the most recent version of this page as saved via my desktop and instead loaded only the page as last used on this app the previous day, but also immediately saved the page as this outdated version without prompting, thus erasing all progress made on my desktop the previous evening. When I looked up the page edit history to revert this app’s mistake, it loaded only the edit history up to the date and time when I first used this app. The desktop version was nowhere to be found. It did however show up in the edit history when I logged into the desktop again just now, proving that it did in fact save, so this error was entirely the fault of this app and thus rendering it entirely useless with no redeemable qualities whatsoever. Deleted.
Loss of faith in the product
by @smaedli on 2019/10/18 00:29
Once again I’ve had an offline draft trashed by the app, which resulted in losing about 4 hours of writing and editing. I no longer trust the Wordpress app as it doesn’t fail safe — it fails with data loss. If you author posts offline (say on long flight without WiFi), AVOID using this app and compose in anything else. It is a shame, really, that the Wordpress app can’t function on the level of the most rudimentary iOS text editor. Loss of a star, loss of faith... — (Edit: It is great to hear that a number of the issues I’ve mentioned below are on the roadmap and that the app is not in maintenance mode. Thank you, Automattic, +1 for paying attention and raising hope for something better) — Aesthetics and ancient UI aside, I’m disappointed in its utter lack of any reasonable offline editing support (it kinda works, but one wrong tap and you’ve lost the draft you’ve been working on) as well as its inability to render basic HTML. Don’t believe me? It can’t render definition/description lists, a common staple of formatting for literally decades. Author a DL and it shows as simply “[DL]”. DLs aren’t exactly cutting edge and new... This app rises to the top only because the others out there only aspire to be as good as this product (which is a very low bar). I expect more from the top blogging platform on the planet, but it is what it is: an app for maintaining your Wordpress blog and little else.
Better Blogging and Content Distribution
by Berevetti on 2018/09/29 15:06
Whomever writes your update diaries: Kudos to you! Been an avid user for close to two years. Increased functionality of phone app is much appreciated. Start blogging on iPad and resume edits on phone, synchronized same in browser. It's efficient, it's enjoyable and is effective. Keep up the good work, WordPress gang. One request: make it this easy to integrate Anchor, Podbean or some other podcasting app. I have a content host, but being able to post to WordPress from a podcast app or vis. versa would be awesome. Partner with one of those app crews if you need to, maybe. That's my suggestion for improving WordPress.
Could be better.
by savagegenius on 2018/01/17 01:00
I think that the app has gotten a lot cleaner in recent months, and there are some features present that previously weren’t unless you were on the desktop site. Despite that, I still am experiencing some issues with the app. My first and main issue is that it’s EXTREMELY difficult or impossible to manipulate the HTML in the iPad app. For instance, resizing photos with HTML does not work in-app. If I try to do so, then publish my post, all the formatting I did will disappear. My other problem is with text formatting. There is some bug (for lack of a better word) that occurs when using bold or italics. If I change my text to bold, then enter for a new paragraph and am still using bold, it will publish in such a way that all of the bold text is mashed together into one giant bold paragraph. There are also some huge bugs with ordered and unordered lists. Typically, the first item in my list will “jump” to the previous paragraph after I publish the post or save it as a draft. There seems to be no way to fix this, (either in HTML or Rich Text mode), unless I’m in the desktop site. Besides bugs, another feature that would be nice to have in the app is the ability to mosaic multiple photos like you can in the desktop site.
Discouraged
by kelz's on 2019/05/28 11:46
When I Thought I was getting a good deal it was all good. But I see now it’s a trick. I signed up for the premium service. Which I thought it said, they would build the website and I would have help with the building of it, I thought it said that it would be like having them sitting next to me. But that wasn’t the case what so ever. When I went to the support site (after I was emailed a link to get right back to my account) I had to login Every time. That alone was a great big pain in the rear. And everything I wanted to add while I tried to build it? Which I don’t know how to use this program. Everyone says it’s so easy to use has experience in building websites. I do not have any experience. And now when I login to my account it says to upgrade to premium? WTH?? I have receipts to prove that is what I paid for to begin with!! Disappointed Discouraged!
Loving it but struggling...
by chandlerashley on 2018/06/11 05:56
I just joined a couple of weeks ago. I’m new to blogging completely. I’m trying to set my site up the way I want to do it. But there are so many posts out there that it’s hard to decipher through them to see what I’m trying to find. I wish finding help with setting it up were easier and free. The site is a little hard to use to me in that for me all settings should be together. But you have to go to different places to edit different things, which in a sense I understand but it makes it confusing for newbies!! I’m sure over time I’ll get the hang of it and will figure out how to set up my site. Trying to figure out how to make page look better and what the different things are right now.
Does not work! Seriously...DOES NOT WORK!
by GaryWD on 2017/11/29 13:01
This is the classic “I wish I could give it a zero star rating”- I am sorry, but this thing has always been very buggy and never syncs properly. Finally, I was given advice from a tech support friend at another company who was familiar with this problem: he agreed the app is no good and told me that it was easier to just bookmark your web page on your phone and go directly to it. He was right— I put an icon on my home screen that I hit when I want to use/edit/check up on comments etc., and it works so much better than this dumb app which has only resulted in me wasting an hour or two of my life trying to get it to work properly. Don’t like to give negative reviews but my irritation level is too high to just delete it and forget it, so a parting shot before I delete it is warranted to keep future potential users from wasting time on it. You have been warned!
Keep Safari and App seperate
by Sengoku_us on 2019/07/01 04:20
Ver 12.6.1 review: Updated from 12.4.1 to this and regretted doing so. I preview the stats page from the earlier version. This one doesn’t look as good and also loads slower. I only use this app to view the stats page and nothing else. I do the rest in Safari. I’m thinking of just deleting this app and just stick with Safari on the iPad. Ver 12.5 review: Newest update now crashes opening opening. Tried removing and re-downloading the app, but it crashed just after signing in, and continues to quit back to the home screen after launching. Hopefully an update will be out pretty quickly to fix this issue (Rating one star in the meantime). Ver 12.4.1 Updated review: Spoke with Charlie, a happiness engineer, and although this is the direction the app is headed, I was provided with a workaround to let me keep the app installed and use Safari to create new blog posts. So updated my rating to 4 stars to reflect the help and support received. Original review below: I like to use the app to view wordpress stats and I like to use Safari to create and edit posts. However this latest update keeps directing me from Safari and into the app every time I try to create a new post, or edit an exisiting post. Please add an option to turn this “feature” off in the next update. Thank you
Fashion Blogsite
by Honeybunnyxo on 2018/03/13 16:45
I enjoy the website. I just wish I had more freedom with the layout even though I am not good at coding. I also wish that placing pages within pages were made a little easier. Instead of grouping all blog post together for me that I had the option to choose which post goes under which menu item. I have the personal website which is nice for me for now but eventually I will upgrade to a business one. I also wish that the mobile app was updated to the same ability as the actual website. I cannot change the font color on the mobile app so when I update blogs it automatically changes my font color black even though on my laptop I have the font as pink.
Makes blogging feel natural
by 46makun on 2019/09/03 03:34
I love this app because it makes it so easy to compose blog posts as soon as they come to mind. The layout is pretty simple and there are some things you can do in-browser that can’t be done in the mobile app, but I actually prefer it that way to keep it streamlined. Some bugs come up now and then, but the development I’ve seen on the WordPress platform over time (I’ve been using WP for 5+ years) always trends to the positive. This app meets my needs perfectly by adding a mobile supplement to the more intense admin on the site—it’s perfect for blogging on the fly.
Be wary!
by BangSplat on 2018/01/12 07:18
I deleted two old "local" drafts from the app and the app also deleted the more recent published versions!! Gone! Several hours of unrecoverable work lost forever. Super unhappy. Update, Jan. 2018. This app also has issues synchronizing properly. I edit an existing draft at work on a browser, later open my iPad app at home, write more, then notice that my "at work" writings were missing and are now—unfortunately—overwritten and lost since the draft saved from the app. It seems the app assumes whatever version of a draft it has in still memory is current—BAD ASSUMPTION! Proper synchronization is major issue with this app. I'd recommend only editing from a browser and not using this app. I think I may just delete it off my iPad, it causes more headaches than it solves.
Inconsistent
by dodisview on 2019/10/16 15:42
I use this to upload photos from my phone and have discovered that it’s best to upload the photo but do not place it in your post from the app. Last week I uploaded 10 photos and put them straight into my blog then published it. It looked great from my phone. However, 2 days later I pulled it up on my desktop and ALL the photos were sideways. I ended up having to delete it all from the post and redo all the photos, descriptions, everything from my desktop. As others have also noted the app seems to keep draft posts. In fact I had a draft still showing up that I had published from my desktop. When I deleted the draft, guess what? My post was gone too ...so be careful.
Terribly designed, poor features
by @Magnuson on 2018/09/28 17:07
Want to post a couple photos with a bit of text to your Wordpress blog? Well too bad, you can’t do that with the Wordpress app. Any photos taken with your phone and uploaded using the Wordpress app appear with an incorrect rotation. If you took your photo in portrait, the Wordpress app uploads it in landscape. Additionally, the Wordpress app makes it extraordinarily difficult to make images link to their media file so that when readers click the image it shows them the full size image. Instead, you have to navigate through countless screens and pop up menus in order to copy the media’s URL from the media page and then go all the way back into the blog post to edit the image. I do not know how someone at Wordpress thought this app was going to be useful to people. This app is useless.
I wish it worked better!
by Bduepancwiene s on 2018/05/02 13:40
I love the idea of the Wordpress app, and this one has the potential to be so amazing. I love being able to draft posts, reply to comments and check my stats. The app tends to be unreliable most of the time though. I have to copy my work often and save to my iPhone Notes because so many times I have drafted a post, hit ‘update’ and I’ll get an error and lose EVERYTHING. A lot of times it won’t let you upload pictures. There is an error stating the max allowed for a photo is “zero KB” which is pretty frustrating. In today’s world, people like to do everything from their phones, but this app DEFINITELY does not replace the computer experience. It’s unfortunate. 😔
Pretty good
by Raisinet on 2018/01/13 15:11
At first I did not understand WordPress, I mainly posted from Go Daddy I think, but now since I am posting from WP I am learning more and how great WP is. People say it is expensive but I see that it offers a lot of potentials I am basically self taught. The plugin that I use would be the issue and I thought it was WordPress. I am a work in progress and I am still learning. I never really used WP that much because I was intimidated by it but I am getting better. I am still confused by Go Daddy. WordPress the function of each was explained but I know I will get even a better understanding of each role each play, but for now I think my recipes and blogging is coming along.
Recent version not working well
by Jens_Happy on 2019/10/17 08:48
Over a month ago: The upgraded version started listing my sites in triplicate and crashing. Could not keep it open. Got even worse recently. Could not find any relevant support topics. Now threatens me with error messages as if my site is infected. I deleted the app and am reinstalling it now. I used to love this app for monitoring my sites. It was successful at easily looking up site visits by post, search terms, search engine, country, followed links, with valuable statistics. I could check on drafts of blogs and rewrite or post them on the fly; edit and post blogs, integrated with pics from my cell phone; and check on new posts from other sites I am following. I regret that I didn’t rate it before, because it would’ve been five stars then. If reinstalling the app doesn’t work, I will just go back to looking up my sites in a browser window.
Should be zero stars
by Primiumpoop on 2017/12/09 18:17
This app has locked itself from functioning. It’s so buggy and broken that it’s asking me to log in (had some sort of error so needs me to confirm my password) except! Won’t let me press next to actually submit my password for verification. If I try to press cancel to log back in fully the app warns me “you’ll lose all your data on this device” what the hell Wordpress. I even tried updating my password to see if the app would fix itself. No lock I’m just going to have to use my browser. The developer has contacted me, but showed they have little understanding of the issue. I can not access the app at all (only says enter in your password and won’t let me press next at all) and yet the developer wants me to use the help and support feature within the app.
Wasted my money when I can’t do anything!
by Ryerye81 on 2019/08/19 01:09
Ok I’m fed up with this and I’ve been patient! When I’m on my web page to view as I just started building it, I get an Error message when I click on Menus saying”The operation couldn’t be completed. ( NSURLError Domain error -999.)So every time I log in and go to Dashboard in red it tells me “Please configure your Google Analytics settings so I click the link and license key shows up under Monster insights and general. I scroll down to google Authentication and tap the connect Monster Insights and I get 403. Error: disallowed _useragent. When I click learn more I get anotherError: The password you entered for the email address is incorrect. I’m very new to this so I’m not savvy so I would have given a better review if I could get some help and maybe make a web page😡👈🏻
User Interface
by Proph.Chaos on 2019/03/26 00:06
This is a problematic app if it isn’t user friendly. I’m trying to create subpages for categories of my blog but once the parent page is established, the subpages just copy whatever is in the parent page. This is unacceptable. Subcategories are the foundation of organization. Without them, every subtopic is lost in the sea of excess main topics. They shouldn’t be main topics. Please fix this. If not, there is no reason to stay with this app. Am I missing something? Are there simple tutorials clearing this up and I’m an idiot? Can someone who has mastered this app show me how it works? I just deleted an important page just to put a link in that erased the content and luckily I took a screenshot before losing it all to the cyber graveyard...
Perfect but!
by LittleMaster on 2020/04/15 17:13
App is perfect to manage your WP website, just couple of issues which I am sure Devs can fix easily.
Drafts disappear without warning
by Uzique on 2017/12/22 13:31
Don’t ever write direct to your blog, at least on iPad. I’ve had two draft posts suddenly disappear as I was typing. That’s enough for me to want to never return. I don’t post frequently and had forgotten my last bad experience. Now I posted a short entry reminding myself about the problem. Both times I’d been writing for about 20 or 30 minutes. I know others have had the same issue and I learned that while searching for a fix. Be careful out there. AFTER I submitted the above review I received a response that I can’t use. Apple says “Automattic responded to your review of WordPress Automattic "Hi! So sorry to hear about the lost drafts. If you have a moment, please go to "Help & Support" in the app and tap on "Contact us" so we can note which editor you were using during the losses and any details that may help us locate the problem to fix it. BUT I can’t find Help & Support. According to the WP site it’s supposed to be a little ? question mark in the lower left corner but I don’t see that. If there is a Help & Support it would be better if it were findable. Very annoying app, at least on the iPad. Works great on a PC.
Great App!
by TerBear128 on 2017/10/24 02:10
This app is extremely useful! I hadn’t thought about how easy it would be to use an app to blog. I had always thought I needed to type on the computer, thus never writing on my blog! Ha! With the app, I have written two posts. I love that I don’t have to keep sending myself pictures to add to my posts, I can just do that through the app! The only thing that is frustrating, is how many times it freezes. The good news is, it saves my posts without having to save it prior. It’s happened to me during both posts, just thankful it saved! Thank you for developing a great app!
Problems.
by Amyshore on 2019/10/09 02:30
I have had difficulty with this app. I wouldn’t rate it 5 stars for being user friendly. As outdated as Blogger was it still was easier to use than this. I’ve got a message in to help center, so let’s hope they can help. It created a clone site (or I inadvertently did—how could that happen?) that will not publish or preview. Now I realize why I had so much trouble posting. I’ve used it successfully for a while but recently I’ve realized that the info pages I’ve created show up instead of my current post. Anyway it works but I can’t say I’m thrilled, especially lately. Perhaps it got more sophisticated and I didn’t?
Great app—having trouble with edit features
by Revelation2134 on 2017/12/07 12:08
The app is user friendly and convenient. The only issue I have run into is that some of the features such as add a Portfoilo post don’t show up on my phone. Likewise, a friend I referred to Wordpress has similar issues. We logged onto her site from our phones and each saw different My Site options. She has deleted and reloaded the latest version of the app several times. It’s not a show stopper, so we haven’t called support, but it would be nice if desktop and mobile features were more consistent across devices.
So Buggy
by Dani_EG on 2018/04/30 01:49
I've started writing to my blog exclusively on my computer, just because this app has gone so far down the drain. I can't add captions to photos and, despite selecting center alignment, they come out without alignment, which looks awful. It still messes up with lists, and headings often lose their formatting as well. If it weren't for wonderful 3rd party apps ending their support (Blogsy), I wouldn't even be using this. I'm on the search for a new third party app, because I don't trust Wordpress to ever come through on the iPad app. It's been years with this buggy mess, and it's gotten no better. I don't know how this app has above a 1 star rating. I can't imagine anyone using this app is updating their blogs with any sort of regularity, images, or formatting.
Wordpress Review
by spotlightofahighschooler on 2018/04/08 20:15
Hi! I’m a fairly new Wordpress user and I am absolutely in love with it! I am 14 and I have already had a fair amount of people view my posts off of a free plan on Wordpress. I love writing and Wordpress has allowed me to share that with everyone else, there is nothing you need to improve, any of my concerns are probably just things I have yet to discover. The only thing that could be I proved is the html section because unlike other sites, it makes you input all the coding and confusing information manually.
How is this app so highly rated?
by sarahhh63 on 2019/03/25 18:55
I love Wordpress but the iPhone app is trash. Trying to make a new post on it is rendered a chore. The tutorial pop-ups and messages telling me how to finish setting up my account are omnipresent every time I start a new post, no matter how many times I click through them they never go away. Clicking on them also seems to have the effect of making me no longer able to scroll down to work on my post when my phone is held vertically; I almost always have to turn my phone horizontally to complete a new post. It wasn’t like this when I first installed it, but a few updates later and now it’s in this sorry state, and I wait in vain hoping that each new update will fix it. Terrible.
Not user friendly
by Daniel Greene on 2018/05/27 01:43
It's so much easier to post to Facebook, Twitter, or Tumblr. With this WordPress app, if I want to post a photo, I have to go into a whole other area of settings to make it a photo post format; then if I want to add tags, it's another field in the post settings. With the aforementioned apps, post formats are automatically done for you, and with Tumblr you pick a post format at the beginning. Easy! Same with tags for all three: hashtags do the trick. I would like to post to my WordPress big and then syndicate to my social media, but it's so tedious I usual don't bother with WordPress and just pay to social media the easy way. 🙁
About Wordpress
by Detrans Phil on 2019/09/05 19:38
I’m old and Computer-TechIlliterate! Wordpress is such a great and easy tool to use-from the start I was able to set up and post my first blog! You give me a lot of options like sharing with click of one button to all social networks though I’m only on FB-gotta get familiar and signed up for Twitter, Instagram, etc. Till then and until I’m able to pay you’re nominal fee-you don’t penalize me! I KNOW people are reading all I write thus the pledge to write a monthly update here on out cause it’s kinda’ in a nice way “demanded” and I need this push sometimes! I’m not sure about other services like yours but-I would NOT switch! This Old Timer sticks to what he knows and-I’ve recommended Wordpress to others with my seal of approval. I’m an Amateur writer, I need services that are five-star but easy to use. Y’all are the Greatest! Sincerely, Phil
I love Wordpress
by Mimes1 on 2018/02/14 02:02
I’ve been blogging with Wordpress for years now: averaging 2 to 5 blogs a month. I love Year In Review summary with readers from different countries statistics. Easy to navigate. One complaint: I used to get mobile alerts for Likes. They disappeared. I only get email notifications now. Can’t figure how to change that back. UPDATE: I received an awesome unexpected response from the developer. However-the problem resolved somehow! Wordpress: 5 stars! I’m getting iPhone post alerts again.
What happened,an update and it becomes a struggle to write a blog post
by Ahstewie on 2018/05/24 03:08
It was so easy to write a blog post, could get a lengthy blog post written without an issue, the last update it is hit and miss, sometimes you can get a whole blog post written, other times it crashes. It forgets the setting for crash reports so it asks every time you restart the app even when you tell it to always send a report. One blog post it took me 12 restarts to get it written. Thankfully most of the work was in the drafts but it was exhausting and so easy to lose focus on what was being written. Thankfully what I blog is mostly inanity that for some reason people like to read. Used to be five stars but now it’s just a one star app.
Love the app except for the frequent crashes
by BominKids;) on 2019/05/14 14:29
I love this app ... every aspect of it is perfect for blogging on the go. I’ve written and edited and posted several times from this digital version. But the CRASHING. I’m kind of getting tired of it at this point and might uninstall because of the crashing. It happens in the reader, where the app crashes when I try to read a certain post, or even when I’m trying to update a draft of my own posts! Please fix WordPress.
Post upload fail
by Lisanich on 2019/09/17 14:34
I have been really happy with Wordpress until lately. W/ or w/out images included, my posts are failing to upload about half the time I attempt to post. My cache is cleared, I have space, WiFi is working? Sometimes switching between the classic and block editing will allow it to post—I have no idea why this would make a difference. Recently I’ve had no luck in getting my most recent post to publish. I’m very frustrated.
Powerful blogging system
by SootyFootyPut on 2018/06/09 21:17
Wordpress has more of a learning curve than Blogger out of the gate, but they make it fun to learn. Their tutorials are written in a fun, playful way; other internet companies should take note. Blogging University sets you up for blogging success. The app makes it easy to keep-up with your blogs even those not on WordPress. You can update your blog from your phone through the app. The reader makes it easy to be part of a blogging community.
Gets the job done but could be more mobile friendly
by The Marvelous Moose on 2018/01/07 15:11
I like what I have done with WordPress so far just some features are missing or difficult to use on a phone. I like to run my blog all from my phone so it would be nice to have full functionality. I also think it would be good to have a "are you sure?" When publishing. I've accidentally hit the button before on a incomplete post and had to go to all of my connections to remove. Overall I like it and will continue to use it.
Okay, but could be better
by Smuckitelly on 2017/10/07 13:16
My biggest problem with the app is that I can't figure out the line-spacing. It seems to single space and then double space at will. I don't know how to change this. It would also be nice to format some standard headers. I've also had problems with a post just completely disappearing, which is very frustrating and discouraging. I do like many of the features and I've been hoping these issues I have can be fixed. Or maybe I don't understand it. If so, I hope somebody will help me especially with the line spacing.
Great WP blogging app needs multiple account support
by Kiri Pawo on 2019/09/18 13:15
If you use WP, you need this app. It makes blogging on the go easy, accessible, and functional. I can write, post, and manage my posts easily and keep up with comments and maintenance when I’m not at home or the office. FEATURE REQUEST: Multiple account sign-on. Please, let users with more than one WP account sign-in and stay logged in without having to switch accounts by logging out of the app. That’s the only missing feature in your otherwise fine app.

Can’t Connect 403 Error Xmlrpc

Downloaded the app to try for the first time, but was unable to connect to my site. Received a 403 error due to XML-RPC. Word has it logging in with the app via mobile can result in a security breach.
Lo mejor de lo mejor.

Lists/bullet indentation
by Joooooooooa on 2020/05/13 14:24
Hello! Is there a way to indent bullet lists items? Can’t seem to find that option when creating a new list. Existing lists that I have created for a posts on the desktop gets messed up when I start to edit it on the app. Otherwise, great job guys!

Password-protected posts

Awful Update

by Icosace1022 on 2020/03/16 21:58

Recent versions unusable
by Summeryeah on 2020/03/11 02:42
I used to love this app and to use it for blog writing all the time. But with the last version (and today’s new updated version) as soon as I start writing a new post in the app, the connection to the sever is lost and I can’t upload media or the post unless I reconnect through a VPN. And this connection breakdown will last for maybe a few hours before I can access my blog (using web browser or use the built-in view site function in the app) again without a VPN. But if I try to write new post again in the app, I immediately lose connection to the blog again and have to use a VPN.

Can’t seem to publish or update posts anymore. Says device is offline, when it’s clearly not. Pretty useless at this point.
New to blogging but wish things left alone

Thats dumb.
you call it a free app?
by zlovestny24 on 2020/02/17 21:11
Think wordpress app is free but when it comes to creating a website, we may have to pay for our domain name through wordpress and its just for-profit! We don’t want ads!
