Utterly useless app - A continual buggy mess
by Sprockethead1 on 2021/10/05 20:47
Absolute waste of time. The app barely refreshes the list of posts, still calls things blog posts, adds formatting to existing posts. Tired of the bugs. The latest updates made it worse (it used to sort-of work). Scheduled posts don’t show. Refresh is slow at best. The only thing it works for is approving comments.
Preview Pictures Now Don’t Display
by NickName541 on 2021/10/04 17:25
Nothing has changed, settings-wise, but now whenever we write on our blog and WordPress links it to our social media platforms, there is no picture or associated preview box as before this latest update. Disappointed at this and hopefully a fix will come quickly.
So buggy
by zenmoto on 2021/09/29 04:26
I just lost the blog post I’ve been working on for two days. Didn’t post. Not in drafts. Not saved in progress. This is not the first time, but it will be the last. iPhone app works. iPad app does not show any of my content in the my site area, just the name of the blog. But if I click on a comment, it links to the post. It’s inscrutable and incredibly frustrating.
I used to love this app. Not so much now.
by Little A's on 2021/09/22 15:01
I have used this app for years, blogging mostly from my phone. I have preferred it to the website, since it’s been so easy and user-friendly. However, recent updates are making me scream in frustration. 1). Why has the classic editor option been removed? WHY? Why not still give us an option to have the user-friendly way to edit? I hate the block format. For this reason alone, it looks like I’ll be forced to log onto the website every time I want to make a change, which is a real pain. 2). Why has the option been removed to link to existing content from my blog? This made it so easy to hyperlink back to posts that I’ve created. Now...just gone. Again, WHY?? It almost seems like the people making changes to the app never actually use the app in real life, because I see no reason to remove these features. This just creates more steps now. Open another page, search for archives blog posts, copy/paste, and come back to add the link in. Before it was one click. The purpose of an app is to make it easier. This app used to do that. Now...not really. Now I have to log onto the web version if I want to actually work without fiddling with the aggravating blocks. Seems like it’s just making it get harder. Wish I could go back to a previous version, honestly. ***edited 9/22/21*** I received feedback feom the developer and some of my frustrations have been addressed. The hyperlink issue has been explained and I can now use it. As has the archived posts issue. NOW my issue is still: I cannot upload photos into the app. It just never uploads them, and then it will not save the whole post. I lose all changes I make if I try to upload an image. It never gets around to uploading the images, so I have to go back online, where the post has not been saved/updated. Again—this is a real pain. I end up having to do everything twice. I like doing my typing in the app, but if it does not save the info, I’m sunk. It still leaves me working between the app and the web, not knowing when I’m going to lose info. Or I have to type the paragraphs, then go to the web to add photos. Just not cool. If this bug could be fixed this would be a great app.
Weak and cumbersome
by ThomasAlice on 2021/09/20 19:22
Just give it up and bring back the classic editor. It was powerful, it was simple, and contained formatting options not available in any of your "blocks." You have purposely degraded the “classic block“ to remove formatting options. Why would you do that? You have a system now that is more cumbersome and provides fewer formatting options than Tumblr— and that is something to be ashamed of.
Comments
by Irish4155 on 2021/09/10 21:49
Once there are approximately 100 comments on a site, no more comments are loaded. Why is there a limit on the comments I see in the app, but not on the website. I won’t be using the app until this is fixed

Photos take FOREVER to download
by nomishowgirl6440 on 2021/09/05 16:31

Good app but the widget is very problematic
by Matthew2442 on 2021/09/02 14:01
The app continues to improve and that’s great. But the iPhone widget is very glitchy & unreliable. It constantly duplicates itself and then it suddenly “can’t load” any data.

Needs better accessibility for the new block editor in widgets
by She'ssbbsnsnsnsnz on 2021/08/30 17:46
Hello! I was just messing around with the new update and, wish there was more accessibility in the new block editor on the widgets panel! Much like how it is when editing a block on blog posts. I can’t figure out how to get rid of a block on the widgets page. Voiceover user.
I'm finally a WP fan. 🙂

Website preview fails; html view not available
by fjpoblam on 2021/08/21 01:20
I place my posts in tidied html. This app untidies them and makes the html invisible (even in what they call “html mode”). Website or post preview yields a blank screen. Aside from that, the app is a nice shortcut from having to login to the website blog control panel for entering new posts. And that’s all it is. Pick yer *poison*.
This app is a winner!!
by thurlbred215 on 2021/08/14 00:15

Thank You for Making It What It Should have Been
by Fklgslandm on 2021/08/08 17:50
So glad you added editing tools! So much easier than the web builder for me. Although I have barely begun to use it, just browsing through the app I’m in awe. The old app was little more than an analytics tool and way to work with comments, which for me were few. It never solved my problems, but it looks like this will. I was literally about to jump ship to another builder with better mobile tools (ahem, Universe or Wix…) but I couldn’t justify the move when I already have so much content and widgets setup. It would have been a major process, and not likely to maintain all the features I’m using. I only work on my iPad—no desktop/laptop in my house—but find the web builder clunky and slow. I got used to it, but at the same time it drained my creative flow and I stopped wanting to work on my site… NOW I CAN GET BACK TO IT! Without the painful transfer out of Wordpress. Thank you! I hope you keep improving it. (Universe’s builder is beautiful visually, maybe take a cue. 😉)
I’m not getting notifications for my followed sites anymore.
by Breakingbay on 2021/08/05 15:04
I always have received notifications when a follower site posted an update. I haven’t changed any of my settings and just noticed that I haven’t been getting notifications for months. I thought my friend just stopped posting. But the posts are there. I have to go to my notifications in the ap and refresh them to see if something has been posted. All my notification settings are turned on and I am following the site. How can I fix this? I hate missing updates.
App beyond awful!!
by Kdkat2011 on 2021/08/05 10:56
The app and desktop versions don’t speak to each other, so updates aren’t often shared. If anything, the desktop is more likely to have the app version, but not vice versa. It’s also nearly impossible to upload images via the app. I hate the app!!
mostly unusable
by bobbi632 on 2021/08/03 03:12
I finally gave up and deleted this hot mess after drafting my 3rd blog post in as many weeks that couldn’t be uploaded, published, saved as a draft, or even previewed so I could copy-and-paste my thousand words of text into the dashboard in Firefox, which works just fine every time. Each paragraph had to be ported out individually. If there was a point to this app, I believe its been missed.

New editor broken on iPhone SE v1
by SRC2011 on 2021/07/10 17:42
I’ve been using the Wordpress app for years. The flow to add new pictures to a new post is broken on the iPhone SE v1; after creating a new post and giving it a title, I click the “+” sign to add a new picture. Rather than coming up with the “what would you like to add” flyover, it instead shows a blank screen. The only workaround I’ve found is to save the post as a draft, open the draft, and then click the “+” sign in the bottom left before typing any words. It’s also buggy to edit a different paragraph. Please fix!
Devastatingly Awful
by Cattastick on 2021/06/27 02:19
Downloaded the app since an injury keeps me from comfortably using my laptop. Embedded widgets wouldn't work, and every time I tried to go to the settings page that popped up the app wouldn’t open anything. My app drafts would not sync to my browser draft at all and I lost two days of writing from the browser draft overriding my app one. I deleted the app, it was an absolute waste of time.
Options for pride?
by MissLaurenNicole on 2021/06/25 03:18
At the risk of being attacked, I’d like to say that I don’t appreciate the app logo being turned into a rainbow for pride. While it is great for some, it goes against religious/personal beliefs of others. If you’d like to show your support, please make it where app users can opt in rather than force everyone to have a rainbow. Forcing the issue is just as insensitive and offensive as doing the opposite. Rather than automatically updating the app face, again, just let people choose for themselves. I’m quite disappointed that, for a platform that is designed to be personalized to suit and encompass a person, this isn’t customizable in this regard. This is a big issue right now. Please be more aware that without giving options, we are recreating the same problems with a different spotlight on it. I hope you read and take this into consideration. 🕊

by Musl3 on 2021/06/16 17:01
Love the idea of using the app to write my blog, but it’s very, very glitchy. I posted and then went back to edit some things and I’m in edit mode and it quit letting me actually edit halfway through and now I can’t make changes. I’ve closed it out and restarted it and nothing. Annoying.

by leeboski on 2021/06/03 14:27
Why? This wasn’t broken. The ability to to just select a photo in iOS and to make a quick post made the app feel and work just like Twitter without the hassle. Now you have to open the app and do “Wordpress” stuff to post….come on man.

by SteelersCavs17 on 2021/05/25 13:13
What is going on developers?? Most of my audience doesn't see my posts? Other bloggers have had previously approved comments put into pending approval. The number of likes are down.. And it's not because people are out instead of sitting at the computer. This most recent update has really messed up the system. So discouraged!
Don’t use WordPress.
by BelayOn on 2021/05/20 01:39
I’m on WP for about 4 years now. It takes a lot of work to build a system and well into that process I discovered WP lost my footnotes in many pages. Of course they can’t fix what they break because WP.com is a “managed” environment which means someone is screwing with your site and you don’t know it. I’ve had them break fonts which again I have to hunt thru my system to fix everything. The help desk is good to help you build your desired design but after that your screwed. Again (now May 2021) I just discover my pages, some many months old, are missing embedded images. I’ve contacted their help desk 3 times. - no answer. I’ll have to go thru my whole system to find what broke. I’m proofing another page at the time of this writing and now it has cross linked footnotes from other pages. The last WP iOS app lost its Add button to add posts and pages! The ability to contact the help desk thru that interface is also missing. Bottom line WP is extremely proprietary and you cannot export your content to another platform at all from WP.com. If you are serious about your website consider very carefully whether you want to do business with WP. It’s a huge risk.

Have enjoyed the app for years; too many bots lately.
by Anonni Moss on 2021/05/18 16:19
I really enjoy the interface of Wordpress and have used it as my blogging platform for years. During that time, I've noticed an increase in what seem to be 'bot' profiles and activity. Over half the likes on a recent post of mine seem to be fake profiles... they don't even bother to change the photos! I would much prefer 0-3 comments or 'likes' from actual humans as opposed to a dozen bot reactions.

Be wary!
by BangSplat on 2021/05/01 05:58
Update April 2021. These days, I only use this app to upload photos to my self-hosted WP site from my phone. But it makes my site unavailable. The hosting service pulled the logs and the app opens so many connections that the server thinks it’s a DOS attack and blocks my IP address! I’ve gone to uploading just one photo at a time, but sometimes it still looks like an attack to the server! So frustrating! I deleted two old "local" drafts from the app and the app also deleted the more recent published versions!! Gone! Several hours of unrecoverable work lost forever. Super unhappy. Update, Jan. 2018. This app also has issues synchronizing properly. I edit an existing draft at work on a browser, later open my iPad app at home, write more, then notice that my "at work" writings were missing and are now—unfortunately—overwritten and lost since the draft saved from the app. It seems the app assumes whatever version of a draft it has in still memory is current—BAD ASSUMPTION! Proper synchronization is major issue with this app. I'd recommend only editing from a browser and not using this app. I think I may just delete it off my iPad, it causes more headaches than it solves.
Bring back classic editor or update the app
by WinterSonata on 2021/04/28 23:02
Please bring ALL of the functionality for the block editor to the iPad app or restore the classic editor. It is not possible to take a paragraph (text) and convert it to a header. However, you can do that in Safari. Also, where is the block type “classic”? Answer: it is missing from the app. Fixing the app or restoring the classic will result in 5 stars. Thanks!
I’m done
by thedongosatethebaby on 2021/04/27 22:18
Wordpress finally pulled the trigger and did away with the classic editor. I absolutely, positively HATE the block editor. So much, I refuse to use it. We should be given a choice to which one we want to use. Looking for a new blog site because I’m done with this site..bye-bye.

Love the new WP overall! Font color tool needs improvement.
by Silverhoof10 on 2021/04/17 01:40
My only criticism is that it’s very difficult to change the font color. If I click on the general color I want (i.e. click on red in the bottom strip so I can choose a specific shade of red in the larger box above), the tool immediately closes without letting me make the more specific choice. I have to highlight the word and open the tool all over again.

Why I love Wordpress
by sparks22285 on 2021/04/08 11:42
Ok so I’m new on the app but let me just say I love it, at first I was like what am I doing feeling a little frustrated, but it helped me to remember my college day courses of building my own website. I also like that I have freedom to write how I feel express myself freely and just knowing that there is a community out there that’s like me that’s amazing. Wordpress is not expensive and I hope in due time I will be able to start generating some value from from my website. The most important the tips that other bloggers share to be better at your craft are great and very helpful please take advantage if this is the path your trying to take.
Make The Classic Editor Plug-in Free
by Nickname7010 on 2021/04/07 06:51
I’d like to be able to write again on Wordpress without the very buggy block editor. But I can only do that by paying for a business plan to get the classic editor plugin. Please make this plugin free because I’m kinda not inclined to pay for the terrible job Wordpress did coding Guttenberg. Is management listening to people complain about the block editor? Or do you want everyone to stop using your platform ? There have been complaints for 2 years now and nobody in management seems to care.
Share card icon disappears
by blindseeker777 on 2021/04/01 03:18
The app is good, but after each update it seems like the Wordpress icon disappears from the iPhone photos app share sheet (what slides up from the bottom when you tap the share icon on a photo). Creating a post from a photo is much easier from this sheet than from the app itself, so please fix this behavior. Thanks!

I despise the block editor!
by DC Dawg on 2021/03/28 19:14
If all you are doing is blogging, writing to convey information, adding an illustration or two, and not trying to make every page a heavy mess, the block editor grabs complication from the jaws of simplicity. In an effort to make WordPress more than some people need, they are leaving some of us behind. You are forgetting your roots and if you continue down this road you are going to turn long-time fans off. How about giving us choices?
Could Use A Few Tweaks
by theecw on 2021/03/23 00:38
I like the app but believe it could use a few tweaks. The main issue being the app and regular browser edition of Wordpress seem to not communicate with each other. There have been several instances where I would start or edit a blog post on one platform, save it and/or publish it, and the other platform wouldn’t reflect the edits. I would then have to redo whatever edits I made. Other than that, the WP app is pretty good overall.
Unresponsive
by TomB59 on 2021/03/12 16:33
I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled, but the app is unresponsive when I go to the Pages section, and am unable to select and edit pages.
Awful
by PishiDad on 2021/03/10 01:31
The app is primitive and awful. Pages and posts that I create using the desktop shows an error message saying that it is not compatible. The desktop is awfully slow. I have a fast internet connection and my device is pretty much new. When I load a page, a lot of time it get stuck. The software is full of bugs. It acts erratic with no explanation. It erases my codes. I have paid for premium, but spend hours every day trying to figure out what is wrong. The customer service is polite. The fact remains that their system has lots of glitches that they will need to fix. I am not happy.
Missing Functions
by quiltinmommy on 2021/03/05 19:13
I love the look and the feel of the app, but some of the functions I use like You tube links and the slide view images were not available. Even if I loaded the slide view images on the internet, the app removed them if I made an update on the app. The YouTube links showed not supported, but at least the app didn’t remove it. Liked the app a lot but found that frustrating.
What is it with everybody being psychos?
by Last time I try. on 2021/02/26 11:41
The oblivious response from the developer does not make Wordpress any less psychopathic bullies. In fact, it just makes me loathe Wordpress. Time to export my blogs and delete my accounts forever. I am constantly floored at the number of companies which completely get away with crapping on their customers. And the number of customers who worship them for it. Also, the developer response completely ignores the LIES LIES LIES in the update description. The update description describes the current update as THE LAST UPDATE THAT SUPPORTS iOS12. Wordpress are either psychopathic liars, or so incompetent they never should have found success, even accidentally. You LIED to your customers and somehow this is MY fault? I’ll add Wordpress to the list of companies I hope to see go bankrupt for their psychopathy and sociopathy. I’ll admit, this one took me completely by surprise. I had no idea Wordpress was run by psychopaths, sociopaths, tyrants and bullies. Though I’m not at all surprised. Companies who only care about SOME of their customers, but discriminate against their poorer customers don’t deserve success. I despise living in a world which worships psychopaths, bullies, and tyrants and allows overt discrimination like this to continue. Everybody CLAIMS to care about the poor and disabled, until it comes to not trying to bully the poor into buying hardware they neither need nor want, and can not afford. Elitist houres. *** The update says this is the last version that will support ios12 but when I try to download the update, it says 13 required. It’s disgusting enough when the phone company tries to bully me into a new phone when my old one still works perfectly fine, but it’s even worse — and completely baffling — that app makers would also try to bully me into having to buy a new, overpriced phone that has none of the features I want, and all the features I don’t want. To hades with you all. I’d rather live in a cave than be bullied by you tyrants.
Always duplicate posts!
by vaughness on 2021/02/25 14:17
We have been using word press for our blog for years now, but this app has been having the same issues for at least 2 years now. Every single day we post the app will double post our blog posts. To our website, Facebook, and Twitter. So then I have to go through and delete the duplicate posts on all the platforms. There have even been times that the app posts 3 and 4 times. This has been very frustrating that this hasn’t been fixed for 2 years.

If I share a link to my Wordpress, that doesn’t mean it’s ready to publish, but I would still like to save it as a draft for further editing. (Also it would be nice for the in-app editor to support custom fields.)
Restrictive and cannot connect my self-hosted site.

Times out when loading photos *every time*
by KelleyBelley23 on 2021/02/17 03:24
Recently the app started timing out every time I try to load a photo for a blog post. It still works on my laptop but since my photos are more accessible on my phone, I would rather use the app. Without that functionality, the app is basically useless for me.
Just deleted the app
by Sukithedawg on 2021/02/14 21:16
I was primarily using the desktop to write my blog, but would open the app occasionally to look at stats. This appears to send WP functionality into a tizzy. Twice I’ve found that it does things that I didn’t initiate, like posting my blog! I was VERY careful not to do so, so I know it wasn’t a matter of a mis-clicked button. Safest thing is just to get rid of the app.
Can’t connect to my website
by Nikonbrad on 2021/02/14 16:04
I was excited about being able to edit and manage my website remotely but the Wordpress app doesn’t even let me login! It continually comes up with a connection error. I’m so frustrated...why can’t they make an app that just works!
This app is rendering my site from 5yrs ago
by TheHLT on 2021/02/12 01:19
It works on my iphone, but for some reason when attempting use on tablets it doesn’t work. Had the same issue with tablet version on my old android tablet as well. Really disappointing and uninstalling immediately.
Terrible App - Not user friendly
by Ezefigi on 2021/02/10 00:47
Had to do a fresh install on my iPhone 11. Downloaded the app and I just go round and round trying to log in. Have to log out to log in. Check email for link that is always expired. Done these for three straight days. Deleting app and reinstalling, turning phone off and restarting. Nothing works. So frustrated that this is not a user friendly app to install and log in. Ughhhhhh. I am so done with trying.
Widgets Aren’t Working

Poor performance

Unable to upload products. Scrolling down accidentally closes the the page you are working on. No draft save option. No undo option if you have updated. You cannot go back. I shifted from wix to Wordpress but so far hating it
As a long time paid user. I’m out.

The block editor is awful. I have lost so much control over how my post looks. I have already started working on a Square Space site.

Seriously disappointed
by cortzleigh1990 on 2021/01/26 22:26
I was researching a rental and it said I had to download this app. So I did. And I looked up the website to the rental I was trying to research and it said that that company hasn’t posted in a while and there was nothing to see. Super frustrating and a big waste of my time 😡😤
Amazing app! Could be better...
by Danny_SanDiego on 2021/01/19 00:09
I love this app! Super useful. I really enjoy the new updates and features. I would definitely use this and will recommend it to friends. It is possibly the easiest and most convenient way to make a website. However, I do think that some improvements could be made. For example, I often get unwanted suggestions and remarks that are not necessary. Also, when I go onto my site, the recent changes that I have made don’t appear. I do refresh the page, but find it doesn’t show up until the next day. This was a huge problem, especially, when I posted a link that led nowhere. When I tried to update it, it didn’t show up until the next day. Please check this out, and if you can, update the site more often! Love the new changes, and overall think this app deserves a 4 star review.
Love the app
by dazzlelazzle on 2021/01/17 17:23
I like the app which is rare for me, I use the desktop version and the app for different things but they are both useful and work!
pain and suffering pls make it end
by Helkie on 2021/01/05 03:26
Desktop Wordpress is really great, but this app has many annoying issues. It will occasionally not update changes I made on desktop, delete text right as I’m typing it, glitch out the wazoo, and has a tendency to lag horribly. Of course, a couple of these things might be my borderline-elderly phone, but some of them just seem like they shouldn’t happen. It is very inconvenient.
Can’t publish
by Dr. BPW on 2021/01/05 02:37
I’m using an iPhone X with iOS 14.2. When I write a blog post and try to publish it, the publish slider menu comes up from the bottom of my screen. I can see ‘Visibility,’ ‘Publish Date,’ and 1/2 of ‘Tags.’ I’m unable to scroll down to the submit button. I can view my site, but can’t publish a blog post which is why I downloaded and set up the app. I’d give it a 4 or 5 star rating if I could publish.
Can’t upload images or else Crash
by Davidexmachina on 2021/01/04 17:00
It’s a good product, it’s just that anytime I try to upload even a single image, the entire system crashes and any data I had is completely lost. So don’t use images whatsoever unless you like to completely rewrite your content over.
I love this app but..
by BWw52 on 2021/01/04 16:12
I have reinstalled recently twice bc media failed to load- currently I posted a draft from my laptop- up until recently- regardless of where I posted the app reflected the status of the post. I love the convenience of using my iPad to load media and also to write a quick draft. Is there some issue with iPads ? The issue isn’t happening on my iPhone Thank you for any help you can give! Totally love Word Press!
Dropping to 3 stars

I’ve lost some of my posts since the iOS app doesn’t support some of the web app’s features. This really needs to be fixed. I’m deleting until it is.
Not so much
by Enthous on 2020/12/31 15:53
Not that useful for anything except the quickest of updates. If all you want to do is quickly add some text and a pic or two, with no control over layout, formatting, or other details, this is fairly handy. Or if you're an HTML guru that can spew code. There are too many things it can't do to make it my go-to access to Wordpress. Sort of like using notepad instead of a word processor. Can't control image size or alignment unless you do it in HTML.

No $ NO Video.
by Jboxer5 on 2020/11/29 08:45
Wordpress will advertise on your blog but will not give you any ability to add video unless YOU also pay them. The rest of the app is great, but having to deal with ads on top of not displaying videos... Why make it MORE difficult on your users? $$$$

Great App. Could Use One Huge Improvement
by jorgelara86 on 2020/11/26 00:15
It would really be nice to be able to login to multiple accounts in one app session. I would like to be able to manage my personal and business Wordpress without having to sign out and back in, since they’re on different accounts.
App doesn’t work anymore with IPhone
by ben12345321 on 2020/11/15 04:48
Wordpress worked amazing on my phone up until I updated. Can’t upload anything constantly fails to save my new edits. I edited website on computer and the app on my phone doesn’t show what I added on my computer to my website. It’s stuck.
Recent updates are amazing
by kailcleo on 2020/05/22 04:37
Thank you for the recent updates!!! I actually think it’s easier to use than the website- which is great but I hope the website also gets better and Wordpress doesn’t become an app only thing...for longer posts I love to use my laptop and the web version because it easier to type a long post, but right now id rather type it on a google doc or something and copy and paste on my phone using the app. It’s very user friendly and the interface has been updated so much- it’s finally worthy of using and enjoying it. Before, the app looked so outdated and had limited capabilities- it’s finally been updated so you can virtually do anything you can online using your phone. I had some trouble uploading images but I believe this was an issue with a plugin and it was fixed. Sometimes the publish button doesn’t work properly and I have to save as a draft and go to my computer to publish, but I’m confident that has been fixed with the newest update (just downloaded so fingers crossed). Thank you sooo much for finally giving the app the attention it deserves!! Especially for the many creatives who use Wordpress, it’s important to be able to create and update our pages and posts on the go when we are inspired. So many times I have ideas that get written down in my phone notes and they never get turned into posts like i planned to- now I can open it up and make sure it gets done the minute I’m inspired. Thanks again!
Perfect for blogging on the go, but...
by ThatDamnHoney on 2018/10/24 23:45
Being that I tend to work on my iPad and not a laptop like most bloggers I know of, having this app really makes it easy for me to do just that. I do have a couple of suggestions. While I realise not everything that can be done on the browser can be possible on an app, I’m still suggesting: 1) Please integrate Gutenberg into the app. It’s been a bit messy going back and forth from browser to app without the integration. 2) Please integrate a way to adjust the uploaded photo size. Not just the display size but the actual image size. Sometimes, it can only be downloaded into one giant resolution that isn’t necessary for the size of blog content and it could help with storage and bandwidth issues. Thanks! Truly enjoy WordPress.
Limited functionality
by honogica on 2019/10/16 16:29
Yes, it’s a mobile app, and ten years ago that would have justified its limited functionality and beta-like business, but not any more. The phone I use today has twice the computing power of the desktop computer I had when I first used WordPress. There’s simply no reason a Mobile app doesn’t have the same options I can get access to through a desktop computer. Add to that it’s inability to communicate properly with the desktop site (like how it almost never recognizes posts started, scheduled, or even published from the desktop) and it’s annoying built in bugs (it’s actually designed to pick up already used tags only after you type at least two letters (really? If I have to remember at least the first two letters then I’m actually forced to memorize them all... so what’s the point?). I suggest the top brass as WordPress use only this app for all their publishing needs for the next month. I’m certain we’d see some improvements. Until then I’ll just fumble through this as best I can going back and forth between app and desktop because, frankly, the website isn’t exactly mobile friendly. But then, neither is the mobile app.
New to blogging but wish things left alone
by Joslotplayer on 2020/02/18 06:09
In general i dont like apps. It’s the icon god to a program. But forced into some things. I’d prefer if all companies took their time, made sure all changes through apps to iPads to software updates to those were all compatible. Why make tiny update to things to accidentally leave something off every few weeks? Then have to have a million bug fixes? So for ipad I cannot see some of my pics to edit them. But can see on the post. And i have looked at all things to turn off and on. I no longer have ability as of few months ago to edit or add other features. Like main picture. Add to my headings pages etc. They no longer exist in any menu?? In new blog or edit blog. The page itself has were these categories exist but now while creating or editing a blog. I am using a free version though. Oddly to get the “visual” view to show I also ave to turn it to http to force it to flip to visual by clicking it back. If I dont do that toggle off and on, all is shaded. It’s not a choice. It’s just gray until I got back and forth to get it to be not gray?? Thats dumb.
Lacking features from the full site
by Fawfulfan on 2019/01/18 17:14
I use this app for work because I'm frequently on the go and away from a computer, and for whatever reason accessing the site from iOS Safari makes it impossible to save anything into the body text form. While this app is a lifesaver and easy to use for the most part, I'm continually frustrated by how many features from the main site are missing. For instance, there doesn't seem to be any way to assign authorship to a blog post in the app, and nor does there seem to be any way to edit metadata in the media library. I can live with the fact that embedded social media cards and iframes don't display properly in the text form while writing, but it would be nice if posting a raw url in the app's text form automatically converted it into an html embed. Another problem with the app is that it seems to have caching issues. Tons of drafts that have already been published stay visible in drafts, and keep accumulating the longer I use the app without deleting it. I hope solutions to these things are in the pipeline.
Erases progress, does not sync with desktop site, saves without prompting
by DNBoswell on 2019/06/16 02:54
I used this app yesterday to edit my blog. Later that evening I did more writing and a editing on my desktop as I have done reliably for years. I loaded the app today to pick up where I left off. Not only did this app NOT load the most recent version of this page as saved via my desktop and instead loaded only the page as last used on this app the previous day, but also immediately saved the page as this outdated version without prompting, thus erasing all progress made on my desktop the previous evening. When I looked up the page edit history to revert this app’s mistake, it loaded only the edit history up to the date and time when I first used this app. The desktop version was nowhere to be found. It did however show up in the edit history when I logged into the desktop again just now, proving that it did in fact save, so this error was entirely the fault of this app and thus rendering it entirely useless with no redeemable qualities whatsoever. Deleted.
Just another social media site
by Packerbacker_1977 on 2018/10/31 22:04
I’m making this brief (short memo, pun intended because it is a writing app) because if I had been asked to write a review 3 months ago I would have given it 3 stars. However, upon closing out and deleting my account over a week ago, now I’m receiving spam from one of their 3rd party partners or at least I hope it’s spam, otherwise, the alternative is Wordpress has a security breach and my data has been compromised. In case you are wondering, TrustPilot sent me an email to the email address in Wordpress’ possession thanking me for a recent purchase (good luck with the payment as the debit card used was prepaid and now has $0 value) and asking me to review Wordpress’ based on a ‘free’ gift they were mailing me. How could I receive a gift since I have deleted the account and if I hadn’t deleted the account why did it take 3 months before I was told of the free gift but if there an honest to god free gift, ever, then why is Wordpress partnering with a party just to solicit a response by offering a made up item. You can’t really trust any of these social media sites.

Loss of faith in the product
by @smaedli on 2019/10/18 00:29
Once again I’ve had an offline draft trashed by the app, which resulted in losing about 4 hours of writing and editing. I no longer trust the Wordpress app as it doesn’t fail safe — it fails with data loss. If you author posts offline (say on long flight without WiFi), AVOID using this app and compose in anything else. It is a shame, really, that the Wordpress app can’t function on the level of the most rudimentary iOS text editor. Loss of a star, loss of faith... — (Edit: It is great to hear that a number of the issues I’ve mentioned below are on the roadmap and that the app is not in maintenance mode. Thank you, Automattic, +1 for paying attention and raising hope for something better) — Aesthetics and ancient UI aside, I’m disappointed in its utter lack of any reasonable offline editing support (it kinda works, but one wrong tap and you’ve lost the draft you’ve been working on) as well as its inability to render basic HTML. Don’t believe me? It can’t render definition/description lists, a common staple of formatting for literally decades. Author a DL and it shows as simply “[DL]”. DLs aren’t exactly cutting edge and new... This app rises to the top only because the others out there only aspire to be as good as this product (which is a very low bar). I expect more from the top blogging platform on the planet, but it is what it is: an app for maintaining your Wordpress blog and little else.
WOW - I’m starting to believe this is a SCAM
by GA_A_8 on 2020/08/06 21:59
This site intentionally makes every step unnecessarily difficult. It’s incredible! Now, when I signed up, I was prepared to be “tricked” into paying for something and then finding out that there’s some dumb process in order to receive a refund ... usually the amount is so low, most people just don’t feel like going through the “hassle”. This company ALSO has had me log in multiple times, get routed to the wrong page after clicking on their link upon looking up how to change my Primary Domain page... the page was similar so it was obviously intended to frustrate the poor soul to click on the link through their “Support” tab. I’ve received error messages that my purchase didn’t go through...Thought that everything I saved was deleted... This is just Day 1!! Seriously though, are you guys just bored? Making a profit just ain’t what it used to be? Get your stuff together.
Could be better.
by savagegenius on 2018/01/17 01:00
I think that the app has gotten a lot cleaner in recent months, and there are some features present that previously weren’t unless you were on the desktop site. Despite that, I still am experiencing some issues with the app. My first and main issue is that it’s EXTREMELY difficult or impossible to manipulate the HTML in the iPad app. For instance, resizing photos with HTML does not work in-app. If I try to do so, then publish my post, all the formatting I did will disappear. My other problem is with text formatting. There is some bug (for lack of a better word) that occurs when using bold or italics. If I change my text to bold, then enter for a new paragraph and am still using bold, it will publish in such a way that all of the bold text is mashed together into one giant bold paragraph. There are also some huge bugs with ordered and unordered lists. Typically, the first item in my list will “jump” to the previous paragraph after I publish the post or save it as a draft. There seems to be no way to fix this, (either in HTML or Rich Text mode), unless I’m in the desktop site. Besides bugs, another feature that would be nice to have in the app is the ability to mosaic multiple photos like you can in the desktop site.
Discouraged
by kelz's on 2019/05/28 11:46
When I Thought I was getting a good deal it was all good. But I see now it’s a trick. I signed up for the premium service. Which I thought it said, they would build the website and I would have help with the building of it, I thought it said that it would be like having them sitting next to me. But that wasn’t the case what so ever. When I went to the support site (after I was emailed a link to get right back to my account) I had to login Every time. That alone was a great big pain in the rear. And everything I wanted to add while I tried to build it? Which I don’t know how to use this program. Everyone says it’s so easy to use has experience in building websites. I do not have any experience. And now when I login to my account it says to upgrade to premium? WTH?? I have receipts to prove that is what I paid for to begin with!! Disappointed Discouraged!
Loving it but struggling...
by chandlerashley on 2018/06/11 05:56
I just joined a couple of weeks ago. I’m new to blogging completely. I’m trying to set my site up the way I want to do it. But there are so many posts out there that it’s hard to decipher through them to see what I’m trying to find. I wish finding help with setting it up were easier and free. The site is a little hard to use to me in that for me all settings should be together. But you have to go to different places to edit different things, which in a sense I understand but it makes it confusing for newbies!! I’m sure over time I’ll get the hang of it and will figure out how to set up my site. Trying to figure out how to make page look better and what the different things are right now.
Does not work! Seriously...DOES NOT WORK!
by GaryWD on 2017/11/29 13:01
This is the classic “I wish I could give it a zero star rating”- I am sorry, but this thing has always been very buggy and never syncs properly. Finally, I was given advice from a tech support friend at another company who was familiar with this problem: he agreed the app is no good and told me that it was easier to just bookmark your web page on your phone and go directly to it. He was right— I put an icon on my home screen that I hit when I want to use/edit/check up on comments etc., and it works so much better than this dumb app which has only resulted in me wasting an hour or two of my life trying to get it to work properly. Don’t like to give negative reviews but my irritation level is too high to just delete it and forget it, so a parting shot before I delete it is warranted to keep future potential users from wasting time on it. You have been warned!
Ambitious but buggy app
by jeflebol on 2020/05/28 13:11
This is a very ambitious app in its scope— it is trying to replicate all of the features of WP web experience. Unfortunately, the feature set is so large and the scope footprint is very complicated for Wordpress. As a result, while this app has some great features and is easy to navigate, it is some extordinarily annoying bugs, especially when using it on my iPad with an external keyboard. The sections don’t expand as I type, puting my cursor into “invisible space.” It can be very difficult to touch-select my cursor to the right spot. It has strange glitches and gets into strange states where it needs to be restarted. If it didn’t have these bugs, I’d give it a 5. I’d really like to see it stay in the App store and improve but for the time being it is a sub-par experience to working on the WP web on my laptop, so this app is not for me for that reason.
Fashion Blogsite
by Honeybunnyxo on 2018/03/13 16:45
I enjoy the website. I just wish I had more freedom with the layout even though I am not good at coding. I also wish that placing pages within pages were made a little easier. Instead of grouping all blog post together for me that I had the option to choose which post goes under which menu item. I have the personal website which is nice for me for now but eventually I will upgrade to a business one. I also wish that the mobile app was updated to the same ability as the actual website. I cannot change the font color on the mobile app so when I update blogs it automatically changes my font color black even though on my laptop I have the font as pink.
Better Blogging and Content Distribution
by Berevetti on 2018/09/29 15:06
Whomever writes your update diaries: Kudos to you! Been an avid user for close to two years. Increased functionality of phone app is much appreciated. Start blogging on iPad and resume edits on phone, synchronized same in browser. It's efficient, it's enjoyable and is effective. Keep up the good work, WordPress gang. One request: make it this easy to integrate Anchor, Podbean or some other podcasting app. I have a content host, but being able to post to WordPress from a podcast app or vis. versa would be awesome. Partner with one of those app crews if you need to, maybe. That's my suggestion for improving WordPress.
Makes blogging feel natural
by 46makun on 2019/09/03 03:34
I love this app because it makes it so easy to compose blog posts as soon as they come to mind. The layout is pretty simple and there are some things you can do in-browser that can’t be done in the mobile app, but I actually prefer it that way to keep it streamlined. Some bugs come up now and then, but the development I’ve seen on the WordPress platform over time (I’ve been using WP for 5+ years) always trends to the positive. This app meets my needs perfectly by adding a mobile supplement to the more intense admin on the site—it’s perfect for blogging on the fly.
Inconsistent
by dodisview on 2019/10/16 15:42
I use this to upload photos from my phone and have discovered that it’s best to upload the photo but do not place it in your post from the app. Last week I uploaded 10 photos and put them straight into my blog then published it. It looked great from my phone. However, 2 days later I pulled it up on my desktop and ALL the photos were sideways. I ended up having to delete it all from the post and redo all the photos, descriptions, everything from my desktop. As others have also noted the app seems to keep draft posts. In fact I had a draft still showing up that I had published from my desktop. When I deleted the draft, guess what? My post was gone too ...so be careful.
Terribly designed, poor features
by @Magnuson on 2018/09/28 17:07
Want to post a couple photos with a bit of text to your Wordpress blog? Well too bad, you can’t do that with the Wordpress app. Any photos taken with your phone and uploaded using the Wordpress app appear with an incorrect rotation. If you took your photo in portrait, the Wordpress app uploads it in landscape. Additionally, the Wordpress app makes it extraordinarily difficult to make images link to their media file so that when readers click the image it shows them the full size image. Instead, you have to navigate through countless screens and pop up menus in order to copy the media’s URL from the media page and then go all the way back into the blog post to edit the image. I do not know how someone at Wordpress thought this app was going to be useful to people. This app is useless.
Pretty good
by Raisinet on 2018/01/13 15:11
At first I did not understand WordPress, I mainly posted from Go Daddy I think, but now since I am posting from WP I am learning more and how great WP is. People say it is expensive but I see that it offers a lot of potentials I am basically self taught. The plugin that I use would be the issue and I thought it was WordPress. I am a work in progress and I am still learning. I never really used WP that much because I was intimidated by it but I am getting better. I am still confused by Go Daddy. WordPress the function of each was explained but I know I will get even a better understanding of each role each play, but for now I think my recipes and blogging is coming along.

I've had this app on my iPad pro (it's about a little over a year old) and I've never been able to upload a draft post or publish a post to any of my WordPress websites. I see stats, I see published posts, I see drafts I've saved from where I wrote them on a browser. But every time I try to publish a post or even save the draft it keeps giving me an error message. No matter how many times I delete and reinstall the app, it never works. it's pretty much just junk taking up space in my iPad. (Yes my os is always up to date)
I wish it worked better!
by CSReinmiller on 2018/05/02 13:40
I love the idea of the Wordpress app, and this one has the potential to be so amazing. I love being able to draft posts, reply to comments and check my stats. The app tends to be unreliable most of the time though. I have to copy my work often and save to my iPhone Notes because so many times I have drafted a post, hit ‘update’ and I’ll get an error and lose EVERYTHING. A lot of times it won’t let you upload pictures. There is an error stating the max allowed for a photo is “zero KB” which is pretty frustrating. In today’s world, people like to do everything from their phones, but this app DEFINITELY does not replace the computer experience. It’s unfortunate. 😔
I can’t believe how bad it is
by Eglantine9 on 2020/09/22 04:28
For an website used by so many people, I honestly can’t believe how horrible this app is. I have an eye condition that makes using my laptop bothersome, so I thought I could try using the app. Boy, was I wrong! First, it didn’t recognize any of my drafts and acted like I had none. I thought I was logged into one of my beta sites for a moment (I wasn’t). I finally found the draft in a different location, but when I started editing the post it kept freezing and glitching. I sat there and watched my screen jump frantically from section to section like someone was remotely using the app and going crazy... then it wouldn’t save, and it keeps cutting my blocks off visually. I turned my phone to landscape to see it better but it’s cut off by the keyboard and won’t move. It’s... awful.
Should be zero stars
by Primiumpoop on 2017/12/09 18:17
This app has locked itself from functioning. It’s so buggy and broken that it’s asking me to log in (had some sort of error so needs me to confirm my password) except! Won’t let me press next to actually submit my password for verification. If I try to press cancel to log back in fully the app warns me “you’ll lose all your data on this device” what the hell Wordpress. I even tried updating my password to see if the app would fix itself. No lock I’m just going to have to use my browser. The developer has contacted me, but showed they have little understanding of the issue. I can not access the app at all (only says enter in your password and won’t let me press next at all) and yet the developer wants me to use the help and support feature within the app.
Be wary!
by BangSplat on 2021/05/01 05:58
Update April 2021.
Getting better all the time
by Rebecca Ruano on 2020/06/01 04:50
This app is leaps and bounds more useful than just 4 months ago when I uninstalled. I’m glad to see the leader in website creation is catching up in their app. My first complaint is that it is way too easy to accidentally delete what I’m writing by simply trying to scroll and I can’t find an undo option. My second complaint is that I can’t go to the next line, they call it ‘enter’ on PC. I can’t get the hang of ‘return’; it does not just go to the beginning of the next line. How do I do that, go to the beginning of the next line? It’s probably very simple. Thank you for the recent updates!
Was Freezing When Updating Now Works
by Frostylocks on 2020/08/14 19:29
I deleted the app, reloaded it and it’s working. I recommend updating/saving often in case the below happens to you. I’ve upgraded my rating from a 1 to a 3. *** It is frustrating when I spend a good amount of time editing a post only to have the app freeze while updating. This results in losing all my corrections. I did a final edit on ten blogs last night and the app worked wonderfully. I was excited to have an easy way to update my work. My final edits are light and mostly entail changes to text and links. However, today I spent a half hour editing a blog and it froze when I tried to update it. I tried a couple more times by restarting my phone. It still froze. I checked my internet and signal connection they were top notch. Like iMovie and other programs that I never use anymore that crash and cost me valuable time, I will need to find another way to edit my WP blogs on the go. It would be awesome if it worked as I am a traveling musician. I have an iPhone 6s Plus should this make a difference.
Wordpress Review
by spotlightofahighschooler on 2018/04/08 20:15
Hi! I’m a fairly new Wordpress user and I am absolutely in love with it! I am 14 and I have already had a fair amount of people view my posts off of a free plan on Wordpress. I love writing and Wordpress has allowed me to share that with everyone else, there is nothing you need to improve, any of my concerns are probably just things I have yet to discover. The only thing that could be I proved is the html section because unlike other sites, it makes you input all the coding and confusing information manually.
Wasted my money when I can’t do anything!
by Ryerye81 on 2019/08/19 01:09
Ok I’m fed up with this and I’ve been patient! When I’m on my web page to view as I just started building it, I get an Error message when I click on Menus saying”The operation couldn’t be completed. ( NSURLError Domain error -999.)So every time I log in and go to Dashboard in red it tells me “Please configure your Google Analytics settings so I click the link and license key shows up under Monster insights and general. I scroll down to google Authentication and tap the connect Monster Insights and I get 403. Error: disallowed _useragent. When I click learn more I get anotherError: The password you entered for the email address is incorrect. I’m very new to this so I’m not savvy so I would have given a better review if I could get some help and maybe make a web page😡👈🏻
User Interface
by Proph.Chaos on 2019/03/26 00:06
This is a problematic app if it isn’t user friendly. I’m trying to create subpages for categories of my blog but once the parent page is established, the subpages just copy whatever is in the parent page. This is unacceptable. Subcategories are the foundation of organization. Without them, every subtopic is lost in the sea of excess main topics. They shouldn’t be main topics. Please fix this. If not, there is no reason to stay with this app. Am I missing something? Are there simple tutorials clearing this up and I’m an idiot? Can someone who has mastered this app show me how it works? I just deleted an important page just to put a link in that erased the content and luckily I took a screenshot before losing it all to the cyber graveyard...
It just won't. Stop. FREEZING.
by Daveysprite on 2020/09/10 20:27
I rarely go to make a negative review but since this is an app I have to keep using I felt like I needed to say something. I usually have to switch between using my browser and the app because when typing a rather simple blog the app will continuously freeze and make me wait for it to load words. It'll let me type like 5 at a time and then freeze again and again. I would use only the browser version (on my phone) but it doesn't always want to function correctly when it comes to formatting. So I usually end up having to use the browser to type paragraphs and then format them in the app. It just seems like it should have better optimization than this.
App is glitchy yet but somewhat functional
by SophomoreHS on 2020/05/06 00:13
Downloaded this because I have long commutes and figured I might as well be productive and work on some posts. At first glance, this app seems to have all the features of the web version. however, once you begin to use it you’ll find it’s very glitchy, with the keyboard jolting up and down, buttons becoming unpressable, the scroll zooming to different parts of the page, and even deleting paragraph blocks! I lost an entire 1000 words for no reason but I was able to recover it in the history. I have an iPhone 6, but I’ve never experienced glitches like this on other apps so I wouldn’t chalk it up to that. Also, it absolutely kills the battery life. Don’t open the app on 20% because you’ll only have a few minutes. I haven’t tried wordpress on safari but it might be better than this; I’ll have to see. however, the app is functional if you’re doing nothing for a long period of time and don’t have access to a computer. Use at your own risk!
Perfect but!
by LittleMaster on 2020/04/15 17:13
App is perfect to manage your WP website, just couple of issues which I am sure Devs can fix easily. 1- When a contributor log in to app the app show Publish button as well which is not possible for a contributor to publish, they can only save as a draft, so now I have to tell each of my contributors to not press publish (because when they do app show an error failed to publish, and no reason) and I have to guild them through how to Save. 2- Same when a contributor logs in and goes to pages the app keep on saying fetching pages. Please fix these issues and this app will be perfect 😊 thanks
Drafts disappear without warning
by Uzique on 2017/12/22 13:31
Don’t ever write direct to your blog, at least on iPad. I’ve had two draft posts suddenly disappear as I was typing. That’s enough for me to want to never return. I don’t post frequently and had forgotten my last bad experience. Now I posted a short entry reminding myself about the problem. Both times I’d been writing for about 20 or 30 minutes. I know others have had the same issue and I learned that while searching for a fix. Be careful out there. AFTER I submitted the above review I received a response that I can’t use. Apple says “Automattic responded to your review of WordPress Automattic "Hi! So sorry to hear about the lost drafts. If you have a moment, please go to "Help & Support" in the app and tap on "Contact us" so we can note which editor you were using during the losses and any details that may help us locate the problem to fix it. BUT I can’t find Help & Support. According to the WP site it’s supposed to be a little ? question mark in the lower left corner but I don’t see that. If there is a Help & Support it would be better if it were findable. Very annoying app, at least on the iPad. Works great on a PC.
Great app—having trouble with edit features
by Revelation2134 on 2017/12/07 12:08
The app is user friendly and convenient. The only issue I have run into is that some of the features such as add a Portfoilo post don’t show up on my phone. Likewise, a friend I referred to Wordpress has similar issues. We logged onto her site from our phones and each saw different My Site options. She has deleted and reloaded the latest version of the app several times. It’s not a show stopper, so we haven’t called support, but it would be nice if desktop and mobile features were more consistent across devices.
Great App!
by TerBear128 on 2017/10/24 02:10
This app is extremely useful! I hadn’t thought about how easy it would be to use an app to blog. I had always thought I needed to type on the computer, thus never writing on my blog! Ha! With the app, I have written two posts. I love that I don’t have to keep sending myself pictures to add to my posts, I can just do that through the app! The only thing that is frustrating, is how many times it freezes. The good news is, it saves my posts without having to save it prior. It’s happened to me during both posts, just thankful it saved! Thank you for developing a great app!
Problems.
by Amyshore on 2019/10/09 02:30
I have had difficulty with this app. I wouldn’t rate it 5 stars for being user friendly. As outdated as Blogger was it still was easier to use than this. I’ve got a message in to help center, so let’s hope they can help. It created a clone site (or I inadvertently did—how could that happen?) that will not publish or preview. Now I realize why I had so much trouble posting. I’ve used it successfully for a while but recently I’ve realized that the info pages I’ve created show up instead of my current post. Anyway it works but I can’t say I’m thrilled, especially lately. Perhaps it got more sophisticated and I didn’t?
So Buggy
by Dani_EG on 2018/04/30 01:49
I've started writing to my blog exclusively on my computer, just because this app has gone so far down the drain. I can't add captions to photos and, despite selecting center alignment, they come out without alignment, which looks awful. It still messes up with lists, and headings often lose their formatting as well. If it weren't for wonderful 3rd party apps ending their support (Blogsy), I wouldn't even be using this. I'm on the search for a new third party app, because I don't trust Wordpress to ever come through on the iPad app. It's been years with this buggy mess, and it's gotten no better. I don't know how this app has above a 1 star rating. I can't imagine anyone using this app is updating their blogs with any sort of regularity, images, or formatting.
How is this app so highly rated?
by sarahhh63 on 2019/03/25 18:55
I love Wordpress but the iPhone app is trash. Trying to make a new post on it is rendered a chore. The tutorial pop-ups and messages telling me how to finish setting up my account are omnipresent every time I start a new post, no matter how many times I click through them they never go away. Clicking on them also seems to have the effect of making me no longer able to scroll down to work on my post when my phone is held vertically; I almost always have to turn my phone horizontally to complete a new post. It wasn’t like this when I first installed it, but a few updates later and now it’s in this sorry state, and I wait in vain hoping that each new update will fix it. Terrible.
Not user friendly
by Daniel Greene on 2018/05/27 01:43
It's so much easier to post to Facebook, Twitter, or Tumblr. With this WordPress app, if I want to post a photo, I have to go into a whole other area of settings to make it a photo post format; then if I want to add tags, it's another field in the post settings. With the aforementioned apps, post formats are automatically done for you, and with Tumblr you pick a post format at the beginning. Easy! Same with tags for all three: hashtags do the trick. I would like to post to my WordPress big and then syndicate to my social media, but it's so tedious I usual don't bother with WordPress and just pay to social media the easy way. 🙁
About Wordpress

I’m old and Computer-TechIlliterate! Wordpress is such a great and easy tool to use-from the start I was able to set up and post my first blog! You give me a lot of options like sharing with click of one button to all social networks though I’m only on FB-gotta get familiar and signed up for Twitter, Instagram, etc. Till then and until I’m able to pay you’re nominal fee-you don’t penalize me! I KNOW people are reading all I write thus the pledge to write a monthly update here on out cause it’s kinda’ in a nice way “demanded” and I need this push sometimes! I’m not sure about other services like yours but-I would NOT switch! This Old Timer sticks to what he knows and-I’ve recommended Wordpress to others with my seal of approval. I’m an Amateur writer, I need services that are five-star but easy to use. Y’all are the Greatest! Sincerely, Phil
I love Wordpress
by Mimes1 on 2018/02/14 02:02
I’ve been blogging with Wordpress for years now: averaging 2 to 5 blogs a month. I love Year In Review summary with readers from different countries statistics. Easy to navigate. One complaint: I used to get mobile alerts for Likes. They disappeared. I only get email notifications now. Can’t figure how to change that back. UPDATE: I received an awesome unexpected response from the developer. However-the problem resolved somehow! Wordpress: 5 stars! I’m getting iPhone post alerts again.
Buggy and unreliable
by Steven Dempsey on 2020/08/01 06:35
While I certainly appreciate all the work the developers have done on this app, it still remains really buggy. With each update, something gets resolved but nearly every time, something else breaks. The latest bug is preventing me from approving comments. When I approve, it immediately returns to unapproved status. Same with spam. If I flag a comment as spam, it almost immediately returns to its original, unspam status. It’s quite frustrating. EDIT: In response to developer questions - I am logged in as the administrator and it is a personal blog using Jetpack, hosted by Bluehost.
What happened,an update and it becomes a struggle to write a blog post
by Ahstewie on 2018/05/24 03:08
It was so easy to write a blog post, could get a lengthy blog post written without an issue, the last update it is hit and miss, sometimes you can get a whole blog post written, other times it crashes. It forgets the setting for crash reports so it asks every time you restart the app even when you tell it to always send a report. One blog post it took me 12 restarts to get it written. Thankfully most of the work was in the drafts but it was exhausting and so easy to lose focus on what was being written. Thankfully what I blog is mostly inanity that for some reason people like to read. Used to be five stars but now it’s just a one star app.
Love the app except for the frequent crashes
by BominKids;) on 2019/05/14 14:29
I love this app ... every aspect of it is perfect for blogging on the go. I’ve written and edited and posted several times from this digital version. But the CRASHING. I’m kind of getting tired of it at this point and might uninstall because of the crashing. It happens in the reader, where the app crashes when I try to read a certain post, or even when I’m trying to update a draft of my own posts! Please fix WordPress.
Post upload fail
by Lisanich on 2019/09/17 14:34
I have been really happy with Wordpress until lately. W/ or w/out images included, my posts are failing to upload about half the time I attempt to post. My cache is cleared, I have space, WiFi is working? Sometimes switching between the classic and block editing will allow it to post—I have no idea why this would make a difference. Recently I’ve had no luck in getting my most recent post to publish. I’m very frustrated.

When the custom HTML will be available?

Glitchy
by Musl3 on 2021/06/16 17:01
Love the idea of using the app to write my blog, but it’s very, very glitchy. I posted and then went back to edit some things and I’m in edit mode and it quit letting me actually edit halfway through and now I can’t make changes. I’ve closed it out and restarted it and nothing. Annoying.

The new update removes the quick post from photos
by leeboski on 2021/06/03 14:27

This has been very frustrating that this hasn’t been fixed for 2 years.

by scojjac on 2021/02/19 23:00

Just deleted the app
by Sukithedawg on 2021/02/14 21:16
I was primarily using the desktop to write my blog, but would open the app occasionally to look at stats. This appears to send WP functionality into a tizzy. Twice I’ve found that it does things that I didn’t initiate, like posting my blog! I was VERY careful not to do so, so I know it wasn’t a matter of a mis-clicked button. Safest thing is just to get rid of the app.

Love the new changes, and overall think this app deserves a 4 star review.

pain and suffering pls make it end
by Helkie on 2021/01/05 03:26
Desktop Wordpress is really great, but this app has many annoying issues.

I love the convenience of using my iPad to load media and also to write a quick draft. Is there some issue with iPads ? The issue isn’t happening on my iPhone Thank you for any help you can give! Totally love Word Press!

Not so much
by Enthous on 2020/12/31 15:53
Not that useful for anything except the quickest of updates.

It's pretty much unusable
by Tania N. Arpa on 2020/08/06 13:11
I've had this app on my iPad pro (it's about a little over a year old) and I've never been able to upload a draft post or publish a post to any of my WordPress websites.
The only thing that could be I proved is the html section because unlike other sites, it makes you input all the coding and confusing information manually.

by Ryerye81 on 2019/08/19 01:09
Ok I’m fed up with this and I’ve been patient!

About Wordpress
by Detrans Phil on 2019/09/05 19:38
I’m old and Computer-TechIlliterate!
