I sometimes get Tweets on sporting events the day after. Needs to be cleaned up.
Timeline
by LMTID on 2019/04/24 23:03
The timeline isn’t in chronological order which is very annoying and the post I see are never the ones I’m very interested in I usually end up having to scroll for a while to see the ones I’m really interested in
Shadow banning
by john the bear on 2019/04/24 22:52
I find it very offensive how you ban conservatives and when President Trump tries to make America great again you guys hide all that.. MAGA2020 search is always reduced
Doesn’t let you listen to music while on the app
by aenand on 2019/04/24 22:49
The app is well designed and has a good UI but in the last update it won’t let me listen to Spotify while on the app regardless of if there’s a video playing.

Direct message request

Ap works ok
by vly56 on 2019/04/24 22:10
Company censorship is nonsensical. Life affirming tweets are considered mature content. So many normal people are kicked off Twitter because they don’t agree with unwritten “standards”. I was suspended for replying “learn to code?” in response to a comment about getting a job.

The Good The Bad and the Trump
by edrod on 2019/04/24 21:13
Twitter is good but the bad thing here is seeing how Trump bullies people on Twitter. He should be banned from Twitter.
Twitter feed from selected follows
by master red fox on 2019/04/24 20:57
I got the app to get information from following certain sites (like a news channel or travel conditions). The only thing I don’t like is, I have to maintain a privacy feed to avoid trolls who attack anyone who doesn’t agree with their views. The feeds I follow are good but because of the privacy wall I am not able to influence followers except those who I allow which is fine with me.
Good way to get info

Corrupt, Unfair Platform Beholden to US Government
by Peace and justice advocate on 2019/04/24 20:16
I use twitter often and find it connects me to a diverse and brilliant community, which I sincerely value. That is the one extra star. Twitter itself is a ridiculous corporation and so-called platform that regularly sanctions Nazism, white supremacy, fascism, expressions of violent terrorism (bombings, war crimes...). The occasional Nazi being taken off Twitter after a report is not a great achievement. It is a basic standard - an extremely low bar. White supremacy persists and in keeping with the leaders’ personal political beliefs, “controversial” figures such as the Saudi monarchy, Richard Spencer, and David Duke are allowed - even promoted through verification. Meanwhile, having cowardly caved to the demands of the US govt. following Russiagate, Twitter has shut down marginalized voices en masse that don’t toe the line of US imperialism. Global progressive sources arbitrarily (without due process) accused of association with the Russian govt. are shut down, and censored. It should not be the responsibility of Twitter to bend to any political, governmental, and corporate pressure, creating an unsafe, toxic, and increasingly biased atmosphere. Twitter should listen to its users and their feedback in addition to maintaining a fair environment. Jack would rather meet with Congresspeople and Pres. Trump than consider not censoring critics of US policy while sanctioning Nazis out of cowardice. This is the basis of the company and the app. Twitter could care less about people terrorizing the most oppressed, marginalized communities in society. Instead, it shuts those communities’ voices down if they cross the line of not bowing to the US federal government and corrupt politicians. Twitter lets warmongers who commit crimes against humanity - mass murder, terrorism, genocide - to have an open voice so they can spread their ideologies and further marginalized others. People threatening to bomb, drone, starve, and shoot civilians are off the hook because they are government-sanctioned. The relentless harassment and targeting of marginalized accounts is outrageous. Safety, security, and the rights of human beings be damned.

Allows abusive users to threaten the lives of others.
by Slevid on 2019/04/24 19:30
Twitter blatantly ignores its own policy and allows @realDonaldTrump to threaten the lives of others by allowing him to spout daily hate and abuse. They will be fully culpable when this gets out of hand and people get hurt.

Unfair forum
by time to leave? on 2019/04/24 19:14
Twitter is quick to censor conservatives. It’s too easy to be taken out of context. I have seen very violent offensive posts ignored by twitter censors. I am using twitter less and less.
More Options
by Tangodogfer on 2019/04/24 19:07
It would be great if the app allowed to express an opinion positive or negative with a simple icon.
Update issue
by Mpolland on 2019/04/24 19:02
Ever since the most recent update I am unable to scroll through my photos in the app. I have to go to my photo album, copy and then paste it into my tweet. I’m also getting “tweet is unavailable” errors when replying but when I back out, the original tweet is still on the other person’s timeline. This update has several bugs to work out.
Suspension of Account
by whitneydlw on 2019/04/24 18:22
I have seen very offensive tweets that when reported, their accounts are not suspended. Then, I see tweets that are not offensive at all and their accounts ARE suspended. Your reasons for suspending accounts are always vague and obtuse. Providing the exact tweet the account is being suspended for is paramount to ensure transparency. Currently, your process invites accusations of bias (if not out right discrimination).
It constantly freezes
by Ami25 on 2019/04/24 18:11
when trying to write a tweet. Highly annoying when you have to reboot all the time. Then there's the shadow banning of people who don't have the correct ideology. Too bad I've wasted 10 years on this cr@p!
Shameful Trump
by emmaandme on 2019/04/24 18:07
It’s truly shameful that Twitter does not set some standards of decency. Rather than allowing Trump to spread falsehoods, hate and divisiveness on a daily almost hourly basis, you choose to enable him to do so. I have closed my account and know many others who are doing the same.
Uh no
by Pictochat9 on 2019/04/24 18:02
So I made my twitter account a few years ago and at the time I put in the wrong year that I was born on accident, then I stopped using Twitter completely. About a week ago I downloaded it again, changed my password to log in again l, went to my profile page to update all of my stuff (including my DOB) and then the app crashed and when I tried opening it again it told me that my DOB was invalid. I’m 15 now and the twitter rules say 15 is the youngest age for an account, but what they don’t say is that you have to be 15 and the creation of your account. As of now I can’t make a new account because I can’t delete the old one, but I can’t delete the old one because it says I’m not 15, even though I actually am.

There is a continuous glitch that has yet to be fixed.
by Dcstrutter on 2019/04/24 17:41
The glitch is a direct message notification when there is no message. I have contacted support again and again asking them to fix the problem, and they STILL haven’t done so! Get your crap together, Twitter and start listening to the people who utilize your services!

Minor improvements need for iPad Pro
by kervenst on 2019/04/24 17:18
This app is awesome. There’s a few problems when using an iPad Pro, the tweets and images are very large, they took most of the space, maybe they could shrink down so I can see more without scrolling down

Short Form Pulse
by DGB289 on 2019/04/24 16:12
For business, tech, politics and news, Twitter let’s me scan the latest. The feed is great for discovery and occasionally there is real insight in tweet streams. It is amusing and maddening.
J-Critic
by Jgendelman3 on 2019/04/24 16:10
Twitter is a fun place to say your lines and be enthusiastic about other people’s beliefs. If you made one tweet, you finally get the chance to see the population of people who can like. That’s how it begins with fun.
Accidental doomsday device
by Mattkarl1992 on 2019/04/24 16:09
Connecting everybody on the planet via a web of quips, anecdotes, and one-off opinions sounds like a fun idea, but the outcome is more bad than good. This platform murders civil discourse. Not because the application itself is at fault, but because we, as a species, are not ready for the responsibility of flinging our thoughts into the breeze where any and all people can see them. Any good that happens here is drowned out by hate and bile. This is where civilization goes to die. Gatekeepers may be oppressive, but giving everybody a soap box is madness.
Silenced for not having a certain political view.
by Angel Parent in TX on 2019/04/24 15:49
Sent not positive tweets to a political person. Now no one following me know I am tweeting. None of my followers get notified. I’m one of those “shadow banned” so much for Free Speech. I even expect to be kicked off for this review.
Ignores iOS preference for disabling review prompts
by brian.mcgroarty on 2019/04/24 15:45
iOS has a preference for disabling in-app solicitations for App Store reviews. Twitter ignores this preference and pesters users anyway.
Awesome App
by Vince Ram on 2019/04/24 15:40
Love the app for keeping up with news, etc.
App functions flawlessly, user base can be questionable.
by Suedeonfilm on 2019/04/24 15:37
In terms of an app Twitter is positioned at the top for a reason. The ability to connect with people and share is never limited by the app itself. The one issue is policing fraudulent and bot accounts that permeate the platform. Twitter removes as many accounts as possible but they have quite a challenge. Not only are the spam accounts popping up fast, they are getting harder to detect, and have no reputation to tarnish. Whereas twitter does and has to answer for every action. It’s a cat and mouse game and ultimately you are the best defense against malicious activity. Long story short it’s a great app just be weary of accounts and do your due diligence before following someone.
Breaks if updated
by BSUGrad06 on 2019/04/24 15:31

My Twitter use
by Martyf325 on 2019/04/24 15:31
I read many posts daily. I post a couple of times per year when the subject escalates me to do so. Twitter allows me to view ‘the entire universe” of responses without a partisan summary. I find it a useful tool in helping me to maintain objectivity... in a world controlled by bias
Censorship
by Vhenom02126 on 2019/04/24 15:14

Twitter Review
by dante_042219 on 2019/04/24 15:02
Twitter asked for my review, so here it is: Twitter is an apocalyptic hell-scape of misdirected negative human emotion wherein a mob of emotionally crippled humans attack each other continually for a small dopamine hit. I used to not believe in Satan, but not so sure now as only a cosmic-level malevolence could have dreamed this place up.

by ShelleBells on 2019/04/24 14:36
I wish Twitter would not censor conservative commentary.
Yes that's what we looking for..
by Mum Muna on 2019/04/24 14:20
Twitter is the best in socials networking ,shearing your idea ,news ,thoughts..etc. but I hope that there will be strict censorship for some users in terms of their photos at their profile as Twitter inmates used also by the very young and this modesty and improper complacency in matters may be personal freedom but should not be imposed as the Twitter social network site and not restricted to only certain people class their purpose in sexual matters. Wish you all the best and thank you. God bless you all.
STOP CENSORING
by kmcdon1834 on 2019/04/24 14:13
while your app is ok, your censorship of views you don’t like are destructive to our republic and freedom of speech. I’ve seen hateful, threatening speech by liberals go unchecked but a simple opposing viewpoint or conservative POV banned...simply atrocious way to do business.
Why Twitter is becoming annoying !
by Chahta Woman on 2019/04/24 14:03
I get the Ads I really do. It’s putting people I follow LIKES on my timeline! I DO NOT CARE WHAT they LIKE. Ik 1,000s have asked @twitter to give us the option to opt out of this and you’re NOT listening!
The app keeps getting worse and worse
by bernji on 2019/04/24 13:56
The more “features” that get added, the more frustrating this app becomes to use. And because of Twitter’s imposed limitations on third-party apps, there are few viable alternatives. I would love to go back to the simple days of the old Tweetdeck app where I simply get my tweets in chronological order with newest tweets on top and the ability to swipe between my timeline, notifications, etc. Instead, we get this jumbled mess that forces us into a timeline curated by Twitter, and even when we select “latest,” that gets forced back to “home” every so often. And I can’t get rid of “in case you missed it” no matter how much I want to. I really enjoy using the service in spite of its problems, but the app is a dumpster fire.

The App is good BUT
by Tiki_86 on 2019/04/24 13:06
The app is good, but you are easily banned or suspended for general tweets, while people upload videos of killing, sex and even child abuse. I think they need to do a better job of reviewing disputes before banning or suspending someone.

Twitter toxicity
by dbd_director on 2019/04/24 12:56
I’m counting Twitter as another social media lost cause. It’s become a platform for people to slander each other and push political propaganda. It’s a toxic environment and I’m using it less and less. Very close to ditching it all together.
Twitter vs. Facebook
by Afshinnay on 2019/04/24 12:53

Enjoying Twitter
by Jalee1 on 2019/04/24 12:51
There is totally a learning curve with figuring out how to post and use the app. I don’t quite understand how the newsfeed wks, it seems to jump and not be consecutive in dates. While I respect people’s opinion on an open platform I don’t think it is ethical to censor for political gain! America first 🇺🇸

Safe or free
by Harwood95 on 2019/04/24 12:40
Those who want safe speech over free speech will get tyranny. Twitter isn’t bound by the Constitution but a platform grounded in communication should prize its free exercise over other considerations, IMHO.

Doesn't iOS have a built-in review dialog API?
by volleo6144 on 2019/04/24 12:22
Better than I will ever expect of Facebook or Instagram though FB: "One person reported you as not using your real name because they didn't like one of your posts. Now prove you are using your real name by giving us your ID card, passport, driver's license, or … or we're going to lock you out of your account with no warning so you're permanently estranged from your family."
Think for yourself
by Big Billy b on 2019/04/24 12:18
If you think for yourself and openly share your Conservative view points this app is not for you. But if you fully believe in what the MSM has to say and are only capable of regurgitating what they say then Twitter is for you. If you don’t think like the execs @Twitter they will shadow ban you or throw you in Twitter jail.

I’ve tried adjusting my settings multiple times and I still can get it to let me see their content... I primarily use twitter on my phone and I don’t understand why it won’t let me see posts that when I do see them, don’t seem anywhere near as “bad” as I’d expect for something that the app seems determined not to let me see

Too political and ignorant.
by FroJew on 2019/04/24 10:11
They cram left leaning media in your face. Which personally I don’t care what party you like. Politics are cancer so don’t shove one sided info in people’s faces. Also people on here are ridiculous and just a bunch of big babies. They go out of their way to promote ignorance and will try to legitimately ruin a persons life if they don’t agree with them on a topic. You pretty much get labeled a racist or a called hitler. It seems Twitter ONLY ENFORCES rules to an account that leans more right than left. This is just personal observation from other posts and people I know. Social media, YouTube and other platforms alike are spiraling downward. I don’t really know why I still have this app.
Far left bias
by LimeGreenYeti on 2019/04/24 09:50
Being suspended for telling fake news journalists to learn to code is terrifyingly stupid and this company is disgusting. I only use it to follow President Trump and even he is shadowbanned. I’ll celebrate when iOS allows GAB to have an app.

Been waiting 7 months for my twitter account to be unlocked but I haven’t had any support or help in how to get it back, let alone get any details on why it got locked in the first place. I can’t even contact twitter because it brings me right back to saying my account is locked before I can ask for help. Twitter doesn’t enforce its rules on people with a significant follower amount but couldn’t care less about anyone with less then 500 followers. Very disappointing.

I love the simplicity. I love the app. However if you ever abandon your efforts to eliminate the propaganda bots that spread social and political ignorance, I will drop you like a bad habit. If you ever decide to program tweets for me that you think I would like to read, I will cut you off. You are a connivence, not my media curator. Fore warning is fair warning. Keep it simple. I have already excised Facebook from my life. And I will abandon you as well if you shrink from your responsibility to keep the content on the platform safe and unbiased.
Warning!!! Violation of rules not enforced!!!

Great way to reach a large audience for your business/ agenda/etc Though I believe that Twitter tries very hard to ensure their platform is a safe place for all voices to be heard the violations of the RULES here are not enforced nor is Twitter following the guideline that are in place by their company. There are easy options to report violations for example; a president threatening nuclear war. The reporting was easy, I was prompted to select the recent Tweet and promised a resolution. But there is never a follow up. So you’re left wondering what happened and if it will happen again. Not a safe place sometimes based on that. There is a great deal of bullying from powerful people and their accounts are still active in spite of reporting. But, some people may make statements others do not like BUT are within the margins of the Rules set in place yet are punished for the statement while others continue causing world wide mayhem. So just remember that rules seem to apply only to those who are average citizens, sometimes, depending on the day and time. However if you are rich and powerful you can do and say anything. This way you are prepared as to what your experience will be like.
BIG RANT! Locking people out of their accounts randomly
by V.bunny on 2018/04/16 04:17
I’m so frustrated I loved twitter but now it’s going out of hand with locking accounts. I have had my account for 8 years never had an issue with resetting a password til now. I was on twitter put my phone down after an hour I got lock out randomly and they told me to reset my password over the 8 years I forgot the original email and phone number I used for the account and back then it wouldn’t even be shown in the settings. Now that I am locked out they told me to reset my password with the email or phone with the account which I forgot they never told me to update my information before they just decided to lock me out. I decided to start a fresh account but wanted my old account deactivated since I couldn’t get into it I don’t want it to just stay online. I gave them all my personal information to deactivate my old account and emailed me saying they couldn’t get any proof that I made my account it was so obvious that I did I’m so annoyed. Now when I try to login to the new account it gets confused with the old account so basically I AM LOCKED OUT OF TWO ACCOUNTS INCLUDING THE ONE I JUST MADE 😠 I can’t get help because their emails are not helpful whatsoever I rather talk to someone who can understand what the problem is. I’m so disappointed with their customer service.
Shadow banning?
by old/user on 2019/04/21 14:54
Shadow banning By Twitter! Does freedom of speech exist on Twitter? In my opinion NO! The ideology of the people who run Twitter Will not allow freedom of speech if it varies from what they think! You may think that what you’re writing is being seen by everybody but in reality you’re the only one seeing it! This does not happen all the time to everybody who disagrees with Twitter’s ideology! In my opinion this is a lot like Nazi Germany! If your anti-God, country, republican and President. All the hate And lies can usually be twitted with Little or no consequences and no shadow banning! “Twitter loves socialist liberal Democrats and anybody who hates America and thinks it’s the problem with the world” if you’re a Democrat, Republican or other that loves God and country you better watch out they will come for you! Like the Nazis did in Germany to the jewish people! It is getting to that point! The proof, just watch ABC CBS NBC CNN for a month and of course Twitter has shadow banning. Google only shows you what they want you to see when you do a search. Use DuckDuckGo for political Or any other type of search if you want an honest search, with no tracking! Of course all of this is just my opinion. Hopefully there’s freedom speech here. P.S.You really need to try political searches on DuckDuckGo versus Google you will be amazed.
Urgent! Money scamming going on in twitter.
by lovingorca on 2018/03/17 16:14
I believe there is scamming going on. People are pretending to be celebrities and asking people to send them large amounts of money claiming it's for concert tickets. Twitter needs to make it so that we can copy our entire message so that we can report this suspicious activity. Facebook needs to do the same thing. Make it so we can copy the entire message that needs to be reported. Please do something about the scamming. The scammers are pretending to be celebrities. It's not fare to our real Celebrities. Please investigate and get to the bottom of of it. Thx. I need to be able to copy the entire content of the messages that I have. Question: Now I'm left with who is really who on twitter. Aka What caused the alarms to start going off was when they started asking for money. A real celebrity would not do that. Plus they wouldn't put pressure on someone and then block a fan because they didn't get what they were after. Please give us the ability to copy our messages in their entirety. Why am I getting so many true twit requests to verify that I’m really me? It’s very confusing when I’ve already done it. I’ve registered, what more is there? I’m not going to creat a payed account.
Better than Instabook
by Bigredrobot on 2018/06/03 14:40
Facebook organic reach has been dwindling as they convert to monetization. Instagram is well on its way with ads now showing up as every 5th or 6th post. Not to mention that both platforms are attention hacking to get you to use more of their services and invite more of your friends. Meanwhile Twitter, the second platform chugs away. Keeping posts short, points to the point and political discourse from spilling over into articles, sources, fights meh. I find Twitter to be useful at quickly finding and sharing what you like and easy to avoid/block what you don't. Unlike fb and instagram it is still chronological, you still see all the posts for those you follow, and the ads are tolerable. The only abuse of ads Ive seen are for companies I despise creating new accounts to get back into my feed. Microsoft, Google, and Dell seem to do this well. Microsoft has about 30 accounts that all need to be blocked if I don't want to see their BS Azure or Surface crapware that I don't care about. All in all, a fast platform.
could be better
by vproybal on 2019/02/06 07:15
i don’t know it just seems to have too much drama and it’s annoying i know this is the kind of issue of how it can get resolved for everyone to enjoy social media again maybe make rules about not posting certain things there’s inappropriate or unprofessional things people don’t want to see or read especially animals getting abused or kids or something like yes we know it happens but posting videos like that’s disgusting and it affects the mind of people we don’t need that on the internet I really think it should be illegal it’s just disgusting and how can humans actually like the videos I can’t it’s gross seeing that kind of inhuman behavior from others in the world like they could use that video for evidence to go the Authorities the Cops but don’t keep posting it on the internet. But I understand some officers actually refuse to do their jobs rights and even do something about it that’s why people do this if people can just do their jobs right I wouldn’t even be here discussing about making it illegal to post those kinds of videos. I hope our community can learn to grow and work together
Update Review 2018
by LanaIsPretty on 2018/06/19 03:01
I adore this app!! It’s my favorite social media app above everything else. I use Twitter daily on and off throughout the day. I will say I love how fast news updates and information appears making it #1 in news. This app is a place where anyone can be sociable everyday and engage in fun to controversial conversations and with 280 characters it’s so much better. Only cons I have and it’s minor is that certain followers I can’t see when they retweet something I have retweeted but I can see if they retweet my own tweet. Also I can’t see when I have new followers I have to see if the follower count has moved up or not. Other than that this app is awesome it doesn’t drain the battery while using or left open in the background. The timeline separates what you missed while you were away from the current tweets. Unlike some other apps that show 3 day old posts. But nevertheless I came back to Twitter back in 2016 from a long hiatus of 4 years and I’ve been on the app ever since.
It’s become very toxic
by Ggdggyufdgg on 2018/08/17 05:13
It’s now a lot of people trying to shut others down with one liners. Taking pictures of their bio to “expose” them. Trump hating, a ton, like unending... we get it, he’s bad, you don’t have to tweet every single thing he does. Too much politics. Segregation, there’s literally a thing called “black twitter” and everyone just seems to be okay with it.. okay (Ps I’m black, hate that now a days you have to clarify that unless it somehow invalidates everything you just said prior) The best way to experience this app is to pretty much, don’t read comment on news stories, if you do don’t reply, unless you want to get into an argument and possibly lose your job in 12 seconds. If you talk about politics, tread lightly, someone out there will get offended, stay away from political groups, it’s very easy to get swept up in radical believes and lastly follow your friends and not get swept up in trends... hey! That rhymed! 😃 Of course these are for the average user. Not company users or anything like that :^)
Tablet media tab changed its display after update?
by KingArthur123 on 2019/04/20 20:54
I’m on an iPad and I’m not sure if I accidentally changed some settings or if the newest iOS app updated and made this change, but the media tab for me used to pretty much look like google images’ or instagram’s layouts. It was just a bunch of small preview boxes, and when you clicked on a picture and made it full screen, it showed the tweet with the full picture. And then you were able to swipe and see more videos and pictures, but now the media tab is like the other tabs and I have to scroll and click on each picture/video to full screen it. The old display is helpful because I like to follow a lot of artists, and I was able to look at previews for 30+ media tweets at once with each page. I was wondering if there’s any way to change it back? I don’t know how more people aren’t complaining about this! It’s absolutely terrible. Especially because I don’t have media previews on for tweets because it saves a lot of data on my limited data plan, I hope it’s reversed. The old version was much better.
Locks me out for no reason
by HamletES on 2018/06/15 20:07
Twitter locks you out of your account for no reason. It’s very stressful. I’ve used twitter for years and in the past two years I’ve been locked out about over 10 times. I’ve done nothing for this to happen! When I made my account I was 13 (the required age) but it wouldn’t let me put my birth year (2000) so for the past 6 years I had to put 1995. Every now and then I would try to put in my real birth year but it still wouldn’t let me. I tried again today and surprisingly, it let me. Immediately after Twitter locked me out and removed my account from the site. They keep saying I’m under 13 or was younger when I made the account. They also said you have to send in a picture of your ID to get it back. Because of personal reasons, I don’t have any sort of ID. I sent in a picture of my birth certificate, hoping it works. I made a second account to message them but it kept on saying that Twitter Support wasn’t responsive at this moment. After a couple of hours they then locked me out of my new account. This experience made me not want to get on twitter anymore. I got on the app almost everyday. This is very stressful. Please fix this Twitter!
Deletes accounts for no reason
by skiidw3ll3r on 2018/05/26 01:26
Every single time i interact with someone via commenting back and forth, nothing aggressive or rude ever, like every single time they lock and suspend my account and if you create a new one eventually it just has the same thing happen to it. And they never respond to your tickets if you make one to get it fixed, I don’t understand how people actually use this app. Like if they stopped doing this to people they’d probably have less random profiles. I’ve been deleted 3 times so at this point I’m just over it and will not even waste my time again. It’s like right when I get some followers and follow all my favorite accounts they just suspend my account anyways so what’s the point. Update- I just checked my old account and it’s still suspended (3 weeks later) and I have NO response from the twitter team so I tried to just delete my account and it won’t let me even do that since it’s suspended. It removed all of my followers and all the people I was following from my account as well. It’s like they do this and then they make it so you can’t reach out and you can’t tell anybody or tweet about it because they block you from doing EVERYTHING.
Timeline updating and auto scrolling to the top
by jherimac! on 2018/12/22 14:37
I love Twitter. I really do. I have used it since 2011 and have never had an issue until this past June. I, along with every other person I know, scroll UP through the timeline reading all the older tweets up to the latest tweets. Sometime over the summer, Twitter updated and every time I opened the app, it would automatically be at the top of the timeline . So I would have to scroll all the way back to the bottom where I had left off. I stopped using Twitter for about 4 months because I was so frustrated by it. I tried changing settings to fix it. I tried never closing out of the app. I tried everything I could think of and it continued. Now this latest update keeps switching to top tweets, which is infuriating. And, I don’t know. I really enjoy using Twitter. But this gets old really fast. If there’s a setting I’m missing to change this, please let me know. Thank you.
Horrible lagging
by haagendoss on 2018/05/09 23:03
I’ve been using this app across various devices. I have an iPhone 7 Plus, software fully updated with an updated version of twitter as well. I’ve tried reaching out to twitter support and no response. My issue is that my timeline lags and freezes consistently every 10 seconds or so. The rest of my phone and it’s apps work fine. I can’t scroll, I can’t retweet, I can close the app and open it again only to have the issue still be there. It’s completely unresponsive for 10 seconds or so before the cycle continues. It’s absolutely infuriating. I’ve tried logging out, restarting my phone, deleting the cache on the twitter app, I’ve even uninstalled this app at least twice with no result. It does this when I’m connected to my home WiFi, or on data, or when I’m connected to public and work WiFi. It has nothing to do with my connection. I’ve tried to look up the issue and it seems like there are some people that have this same issue but no solutions are given. Please fix this twitter, I love using this app as a de-stressor
Solid official app, hope to see it grow further
by aCluelessDanny on 2017/10/01 21:41
As I'm starting to use Twitter once again, I just wanna say that this remains a well-made app for your Twitter needs. I've tried other apps such as Tweetbot and Twitterific, and while they may offer more functionalities like statistics or customization options, I don't really need all those. And things like the simple, modern UI and live updates helps me select this as my go-to app for Twitter. If there's something I really want this app to have is to be able sync your timeline position throughout other devices. It's a bit bothersome that I don't know where I left off as I check Twitter on my computer or the iPad, or worse, I'll be sent to the top of the timeline if enough time has passed. Other Twitter apps, like the ones mentioned above, have this feature (using Tweet Marker), but I really would like to have this feature here. All in all, solid app. Really hope to see it improve overtime.
Addicting in a Very Bad Way
by EvaFitts on 2019/01/30 11:46
Twitter isn’t functional because you can’t easily remove followers. Twitter doesn’t recognize that people have different needs over time. Many of us got on expressly to discuss politics. You follow and are followed by thousands of people. Now you want to switch to your real name and focus on people doing a particular workout challenge or use the account for some other, less toxic reason. You either have to delete the account, wait a period of time and start over (losing all your follows) or block every account you don’t want following you anymore, one at a time. Twitter is full of bots supporting the right wing, far left extremists and fake accounts. If you’re there for politics you can’t use your real name because you will be threatened and harassed. One person told me she could find out everything about me and ruin my life. Someone I follow used her real name and a harasser find out the name of the woman’s father’s business and filled yelp with negative reviews. It can at times be a place for “friendship” or learning and even uplifting but it can also be a vile, depressing place.
Twitter followers are infuriated about the new update
by Celestia22 on 2019/03/17 07:21
I can not stress this enough, NO ONE WANTS THAT NEW UPDATE YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT. We are fine with Twitter the way it is I don’t know what cry baby celebrity or political figure complained for that update but it is not wanted among the community. It’s already outrageous you’re taking away likes and retweets but now taking away the blocking feature and opening dms up to ANYONE? Ppl are harassed through dms constantly that’s why they have the option to block and now You’re gonna take that away? Completely unnecessary and ridiculously moronic. The community enjoys twitter the way it is and the new update looks like some government controlled futuristic simulation, it doesn’t look like twitter anymore at all. We will all be moving to Snapchat and Instagram now if this new update takes place, at this rate your app will lose everyone or almost anyone and you might as well just shut down like Facebook if you choose to do this. Just take that into consideration.

Imagine everything you can do with the power of Flex Tape!
Tech support is garbage, email support is garbage
by brandii_m on 2018/02/18 00:39
made my twitter account almost 10 years ago an was an avid user on that same account. i was using the app and then sat my phone down for about an hour. when i reopened the app they were asking me to log back in to verify my account. Seeing that I haven’t logged out of twitter i was confused as to why they started to ask me this.i’ve had this account for a long time and the email address i signed up with is one that i no longer had access to. because of this i was unable to reset my password. i tried emailing tech support but they gave me some excuse saying that they couldn’t verify the account and that there was no other way that they could do so. they’ve never asked me to do so before and i am very upset with tech support. i would’ve rather talk to an actual person to explain my problem than send an email that they took a long time to respond to. so now im stuck trying to figure out what my old password was because i don’t want to create a new account. its been 2 weeks since this happened and im very disappointed with their service and lack of communication.
App is great until you need support
by Tonkalynn on 2019/02/09 19:32
I’ve had twitter for about 8 years now and recently have been locked out of my account due to age restriction. I’m currently well over the age to have an account but due to EU regulation twitter combatted this by locking accounts made by people under the age of 13. Being from America, I don’t understand why that should affect my account yet here we are. However that’s not my biggest issue. I’ve never had to use twitter support until my account got locked out but because there is no email or account not on twitter for twitter support, there is no way for me to contact the support team for help. If I try to submit a form, it says my account is locked. I can’t send a message because my account is locked. I made a new account but it will direct me to send a message from my locked account, which then proceeds to tell me I can’t submit a form from my locked account. Twitter support needs a serious revamp considering it’s only useful for people with WORKING accounts; if my account worked then I wouldn’t need to contact twitter support in first place!
Liberal/progressive agenda
by gmoore01 on 2019/03/10 22:12
When I saw people saying that twitter was pushing a liberal/progressive agenda I did not believe them at first, that is until I got permanently locked out of my account. I got into an argument with someone claiming to be a “black trans queer autistic person” they are in fact a caucasian redhead. They slandered me on their page which resulted in their followers reporting me for my header picture for being “inappropriate” it was a mildly sexual animated picture that showed no nudity. After getting reported so many times twitter locked me out of my account, so far they’ve made it so that I can’t even try and fix the issue. Although even if they didn’t lock me out of my account I can only stand to be on this app for a max of maybe 10 minutes a day due to the fact that twitter is an online hangout for people that blatantly hate men and make assumptions about the gender as a whole without any backlash or anyone being able to speak against what they’re saying. Also since being locked out of twitter they took away the option for me to look at uncensored content, even on the new accounts that I made. Would not recommend.
Perhaps this is a better way to get through to YOU
by ackkevink on 2019/02/07 23:16
I have been on Twitter for almost 10 years now, and I love the app. However, two weeks ago you sent me an email saying I supposedly violated the rules and I would be locked out of my account for 72 hours. Well guess what, it’s been 312 hours later and I’m still locked out with absolutely no contact from you whatsoever as to when I can get back in to my account!! I have tried several times filing an appeal as to the suspension, yet ZERO contact or answers from you AT ALL!! Did I say something harsh to someone, yes I admit that I did. I did NOT however promote any violence or supposed hate, or threaten someone’s life. I consider myself a conservative, and if that’s the problem you have, then just admit that’s the problem to me and everyone else and we can all move on. However if you allow a liberal or left leaning person to say whatever they want with no repercussions, then I’m afraid you are going to have a much bigger problem on your hands. So please, for the sake of humanity, just respond to me and tell me how long I’m going to be locked out for so at least I can move on.
I’m really irritated at this point!!
by Nunu20026 on Twitter on 2018/10/30 05:21
Every time I try to takeoff the sensitive mode it doesn’t wanna take it off. I tried doing the instructions on Google I’ve tried even just going through all the settings and change and everything differently and that’s not the half of it, I’ve had my account blocked or suspended just for following people I’ve been suspended just for a re-tweeting a tweet I’ve had so many problems with it and I just got it this month and it’s really aggravating and I had a couple of accounts but they were so long ago that I didn’t even remember the password to them and it was so hard just for me to delete them like I had to have a phone number I had to have a PIN number or just something that was just dumb and stupid and wouldn’t just let me delete the accounts. But I successfully deleted them but I’m still having trouble with the sensitivity and I would really appreciated if you would fix it or something because I’ve tried literally everything.
Best thing in life. Hey Twitter,
by JJ11st on 2019/03/29 16:03
Hello to everyone at Twitter and god bless every employee. I hope everyone is having a good work week. God bless to your families too. So about Twitter, I have a personal problem that I really need to address to the company. It would be blessing in disguise if I could meet everyone over the company and have a sit down with developers and researchers and the CEO, board members. Everyone who has a say so in the way the app company so we can talk about first social media laws and also content, what’s permissible viewership in what country as far in entertainment because we all live on one planet, social media laws and kids. Depending where you live some people don’t understand different cultures and especially about putting false information in media that would disrupt what is going on in real life, social media laws, and more things but just two Basic talks to begin with. In God’s name we pray Amen 🙏🏽.
Filters Filters Filters
by TerriTerriQuiteContrary on 2019/01/11 17:21
Who’s the one in power with the aversion towards filters? It seems to me that it possibly may have been in the fundamental planning of Twitter but for reason (I use the word loosely) or most likely perhaps some planners shot for a timeframe rather than quality. I’m baffled. Still and all I do find enough satisfaction for a fixed amount of time and have a pattern solely due to the lack of much needed filters, of just turning of my notifications and I stay away for substantial periods of time. I stop denying the incompleteness and it’s effect of simply and without enough rewards to rationalize taking up way too much time. So I’m considering the odds of when filters do finally evolve in Twitter. Personally, I’m aware I am not alone so I’m going think about spreading the word to tweet or write merely the words filters necessary please provide in an occasional review. Other than that I have a personal reason I will always return and regard it as special. Thank you Twitter for your consideration!

Not “freedom of speech” friendly. Banning and/or promoting users based on their political views, or religious views. Double standards for individuals based on their ethnicity, skin color, Social Status, or Political affiliations. Not a very fair interface for the everyday individual; but I don’t mind a challenge. I just use it for laughs because other than that it’s absolutely unreliable. Sometimes, I find interesting information or informative news, but mostly it’s fake news and outrage. Every now and then the application can help me to get current events before anyone else however it is very subjective; you have to know how to efficiently and effectively employ discernment, AND you’ll need your since of humor. I guess a very high percentage of the user base is solely interested in the goings on of Celebrities, so that’s usually what you find trending, you have to really search and sift through the garbage to find anything useful. Twitter seems to have a very off balance TOS. One part of it seems to be “unspoken” while the other is the “actual EULA.” Good luck.
The struggle.
by Jacky2243 on 2018/09/29 01:04
I joined Twitter in 2011 and it has never given me trouble up until a few months ago. I decided to change my birthday to the actual date because when I created my Twitter I was just a couple of months away from turning 13; which was how old you needed to be to make a Twitter. A few months ago when I decided to change it my account was locked because it stated I wasn’t old enough at the time I created my account. It asked for an explanation and proof of age so in June I sent in a picture of my drivers license and explanation. It took about 4 weeks for the screen on my Twitter app to say that they were trying to figure out a solution to keep my tweet after I turned the age of 13 but I would get notified as soon as my Twitter was unlocked. It’s been almost 4 months since I should have been able to use twitter but my account is still locked. I’ve logged out a few times, re-downloaded the app. Nothing has worked. They don’t have a service hotline to call either and fix this, this screen that has appeared won’t even let me submit another form. Very annoyed.
Glitch in DMs
by Kyxelplays on 2019/04/13 15:31
I got this glitch where it tells me a notification that someone is direct messaging me but when I go there, no one has messaged me and there’s nothing at all. I found a person who messaged me in the request section from my email later on but when I got to my Twitter account, it wasn’t there. So I blocked the person who sent me a message. But the notification in DMs is still there. No one has ever DMed me in the past weeks by now. I logged out and logged in, notification is still there. I deleted the app and reinstalled the app, it didn’t work. I’ve had this glitch notification for over a month or two. This annoyed me so much. It’s only my account that has this glitch, I don’t know to fix it. Edit: Alright I fixed it. I somehow played around with my settings and turned off quality filter then I finally saw the person’s direct message. Now I gotta remembered how to do it if it happens again.
Needs to be tweaked

Twitter is not what it’s cracked up to be. While it is a good site and I enjoyed it as far as the making friends and the camaraderie and discussions. But after only being on the site for almost 3 months. Given her 24 hours Suspension then a one-week suspension for supposedly offensive tweets! Now I have been suspended for four months. Have no idea why. All attempts To get in touch with or communicate with Twitter have been in vain! All I get is the company line we will try to solve this within two or three days although it may take longer. And this is been for four months now! No courtesy of a reason why I was suspended no communication whatsoever! And anything I said on Twitter was not near as bad as some of the Liberals have put on there and still have their accounts. Would really like to have my Twitter account back but something needs to be done with some of the people who are letting their politics influence who is tweets they don’t like and suspend people for!
Locked out of my account
by rileysoccer1818 on 2018/07/11 22:53
I love twitter and I’ve had my account for 6 years now, but recently i’ve been locked out of my account. I’ve requested a review about my account 4 days ago which required me to send a photo of my ID, and I’ve yet to get an email back. I sent a request twice and I’m beginning to become really frustrated. I even tried to call Twitter’s number which told me to press 1 for customer support which then proceeded to tell me that they don’t offer customer support over the phone. I don’t understand why you would have the option listed if you don’t offer it? I’ve also tried to message Twitter support off a friend’s account, but it said the DM’s were unavailable. I had given up trying to salvage my old account, so I decided to make a new one with a brand new email address and I WAS LOCKED OUT OF IT for “suspicious activity”. I am extremely aggravated because I can’t even contact anyone to help sort out my problems or make a new account. Like I said, I love Twitter but they need SERIOUS improvement with their customer support. I want my account back!!!
SUGGESTION:
by Andielovee on 2019/04/14 22:37
I would REALLY like a feature that allows you to block your friends from viewing your posts, but still allows you to view THEIR posts. I want this feature because often times, people who have mental health issues, or issues in general, they usually want to express their problems or grievances on some type of platform, but they don’t always want their friends to know what they’re going thru (for various reasons). They just want the autonomy to express themselves authentically. While the private feature allows you to keep your posts private, it doesn’t foster an environment that allows for communication with strangers who might possibly relate or know what you’re going through, which in turn promotes a community of encouragement and understanding. Thank you for reading and I hope this gets implemented.
Overbanning, Censoring Speech, Where to Begin
by Jared75684 on 2018/05/02 19:14
So I used to LIVE for Twitter. I would literally be locked into a Twitter session sometimes for over 4-5 hours at a time, back when it was just celebs promoting movies, books, music, etc — the arts. NOW? It’s a Political Hyper-Echo Chamber that divides both sides even further, and dare I say, they’ve gone so far as to basically begin the censorship that Chinese citizens face on a day to day basis. Why is my tweet defending myself, my views and way of life, any worse than others defending theirs? After they started doing the hard bans for multiple days, I jumped ship for good and I’ll never go back. Twitter is a dying breed, as is most social media now. We now know, you guys just rake in money on ads and etc, while we sit around feeding your networks with content to keep it interesting, FOR FREE!! Where is the option to start monetizing my tweets? Overall, the app is suffering, the service is suffering, and it’s just not so great. They are VERY celebrity-protectionist, and they’re making the platform one that’s actually LESS inclusive for all, instead of more inclusive.
Great App
by SandraKris on 2018/01/05 05:41
I’ve been using Twitter since it first came out and I was so amazed at house much I could learn about what’s going on around the world in real time. It was a game changer back then and it still is now. Every social platform has bugs from time to time, ALL of them. That’s just how technology works. But I’ll say Twitter has the best response time in regards to anything, not limited to fixing bugs in such a quick manner. It’s also the only social media platform that TRULY allows you free speech. They don’t take down offensive posts nearly as often as Instagram and Facebook, only if they cross a verrrryyyyy big line. Not saying that’s the type of Tweeter I am, I am all for equality and Twitter also has one of the most diverse users. Long story short 😂😂😂 give this a try, it’s not what you’re used to, but it’s equally as awesome. 🤪🤓🙌
A feature I would love to see added...
by amamazing07 on 2019/01/13 18:45
Great application. I use it a lot for personal & also professional usage. As part of my work, I make extensive usage of the list features. I have few public, and servers curated private lists to keep up with different information flows. I would love to see the ability to with the click of a button or setting...turn on/off push notifications for a particular public or private list or lists of users. This would allow me to disable notifications from a number of accounts on my off days when I don’t need to be connected as much, but also give the ability to quickly turn on a list when I head back in to work or am working from home. I don’t know if anyone has ever requested this feature, but I sure would love to see it. Again, great application. Definitely my top social media choice.
Give me MY timeline back
by Bel69 on 2018/03/31 00:18
When you decide to let ME control MY timeline I'll start using your app again, until then I'll be using a different app. I hate the "In case you missed it", and I don't want too see what everyone else likes, if I want to see that, I'll look at their profile. The most important thing, stop automatically scrolling to the top of my timeline. You're trying to be too much like Facebook, I don't use it for all of these reason. Please give me control of my timeline. Why is it so hard to simply show me things in chronological order? Update: while they have stopped automatically scrolling my timeline to the top, I don’t want to see what everyone else likes in my timeline. I also would prefer it to just show everything in chronological order vs me seeing “in case you missed it” It really can’t be that hard to at least give us options for this stuff. Until all this is fixed, I’ll continue using an alternate app, and Twitter will loose its add money.
Account Suspensions / Locking
by Buttslover69 on 2019/04/15 10:48
I run a business on twitter that involves running multiple large accounts. I have rarely ever had an issue with locks and suspensions. Last week I lost multiple accounts to unexplained suspensions. I read through the twitter rules every few months to make sure I’m following them properly, because my business and livelihood depends on these accounts, and yet I still get suspended for no reason. Twitter support needs to fix this. I’m losing years of hard work and income for no reason. It’s extremely devastating On top of that, at least one of my accounts gets locked every day. I am constantly logging on to unlock accounts because otherwise my posts that have been scheduled will not go through. It’s become extremely frustrating. I pay for an approved scheduling service and it’s not even doing what it’s supposed to because of constant account locking. Why?! Twitter, I love you. I need you. But please stop attacking me. I’m doing nothing wrong.
Love it...though
by Shanlie on 2017/12/09 05:36
Update: I’ve always loved this app. Now. Few things....I want the profile button back at the bottom. I want access to my profile page as well as my lists with one hit of the button not five. Second. Trending. I don’t want things in my trending to be completely local. Or completely national. Why? Bc it’s not always relevant. A few tweets about something local... is neither trending news nor unusual...we know there's a hawks game....okay? Nor (I guess third and lastly) do I want meaningless fluff. Like moments of celebs. That’s not news either. First review: I'd like better filtering especially for all political words please ;) Also a big deal for me...is the hoops I’ve got to jump through just to get back to my profile. It’s my most used key. I’d like it back on the bottom dashboard. It’s ridiculous that it is so many back pages away to get to my main page. Definitely impedes my experience.
Locking out
by Gunner The Puppy on 2019/02/18 17:05
I have had the app for 7.5 years and never had one problem. Sure, it would crash from time to time, but, overall, it has been great. The reason I don’t like it contain the following; About 3 years ago I bought a 6 person tent. It was $250 Ozark Trails, and it said it would arrive in 6 business days. 3 weeks later, I’m still waiting, and 3 weeks turned to 3 months, which eventually turned to 3 years. Tent arrive? Not at all. Money back? Not a cent. And then, about 2 weeks ago it locked me out of my account saying, “Please sign in with the original e-mail and phone number. NEWS FLASH I got a new phone number and e-mail. What a shocker. I tried the password for my E-mail, but of course I forgot it. It than proceeded to tell me to do the security questions I had set up, but of course that didn’t work, and now I’m furious. Please help me, someone. Their customer service is terrible.
Immediate Source of Info
by MickeeG on 2018/10/11 16:20
I somewhat like Twitter. It has its good and it’s bad. It serves as a source of news, entertainment and in general a place where you can get the opinions and feelings of tweeters. It’s a quick and easy way to reach thousands of people or follow trends however, Twitter can be addictive. On the ugly side, Twitter is like the devils playground. It’s a deceitful TRAP that can slowly pull you into a place of ugliness and evil. Twitter brings out the WORST in most tweeters and if you’re not careful, you can easily get caught up in blasting, cussing and defaming people. Satan lives on Twitter. However, as Christians we need to let our voice be heard on Twitter and other social media play. We need to spread the love of Jesus Christ, His forgiveness and hope, grace and mercy that can only be had through Christ. Let’s spread love on Twitter, not hate.
Could be a better app.
by Noahstitanic on 2019/02/20 23:02
I’ve been using the Twitter App for awhile now and have been using it as far back as when PFP were squares. The apps alright visually, compared to other social media apps it’s rather straightforward. The biggest problem with the app is their use of algorithmic timelines. It’s a real shame because unlike most apps twitter leaves you where you left off when you closed it which makes it a bigger shame that it often hides tweets behind a “See More” button. Twitter now finally has an option to turn on chronological timelines but for some absurd reason it’s only temporary? If you don’t check in on your account it will be automatically set back to the awful algorithmic timeline that displays tweets out of order. I have to give the app a low star rating because of that. Hopefully they decide to remove the timer and allow its users to use a timeline that actually functions in a expected and understandable way.
Great app!
by Cindyn33 on 2018/08/07 02:19
I don’t normally leave reviews. I have been using Twitter for several years now. It is SO MUCH better then FB and instagram as far as how the home page or feed is in order. I actually receive my notifications. I would give more then 5 stars for those alone. I just recently deleted my FB because the posts are not in order and I DO NOT receive notifications. I deleted my Instagram because the posts are not in order which makes it difficult for using. Twitter is my favorite app!! I really enjoy Twitter. Also, I do enjoy getting the notifications for highlights, things I’ve missed or recent posts on Twitter. For people that do not like that, maybe give the option to have that turned on or off for notifications and on the home page.
twitter my opinion
by wolfpka1 on 2018/05/30 10:59
This social network plaform is serving a great need to connect people all over the world allowing them to express their opinions to the public and each other. My biggest complaint is shadow banning people and stopping them from being part of the show. Once shadow banned,I felt a deep sense of concern about censorship and a feeling of helplessness no longer being able to post my opinions to twitter. As a conservative Im worried about liberals at twitter trying to slant the narrative by censoring conservative speakers and puttin algorithms on them to silence their free speech or shove them to the bottom of the list where they are unlikely to be seen. I see a lot of nasty tweets that should not be allowed esp. under president Trumps twitter account, people using vile gestures or the f-word. There should be no censorship on clean decent honest criticizm on either side liberal or conservative this is true freedom and would make twitter a great platform for the world.
Changes must be done in further updates!
by Kusayer on 2019/02/28 05:04
You need to let the user be comfortable to use this app, like the moments for example! I don't like any news accounts or any trend contents in twitter because I'm not using it for news or trends, the point is why you can't separate the trends & moments from the search and make it another section? The other thing is i feel embraced by showing to anyone who is entering my profile and goes to who's to follow the people i had a bad past with them and didn't want any of them to back in my life and you by (I don't know what it is) a kind of algorithm that clearly exposed all the old history even after i changed my life they are back and this thing bothering me so much!! Twitter needs to be a good place like the one in 2015, i need more privacy and more options i can make to be comfortable, i hope i explained everything and i hope Twitter will be improved in the further updates, consider this review nothing if you don't understand anything of it.
Twitter will be the End of our Civility in Society.
by Ashby Elbows on 2018/08/17 18:56
This app is made incredibly well - I never have any issues opening up the app nor and issues using the app. The UI is smooth and never choppy, and the features are constantly being tweaked. The ONLY real criticism I have for the app is the user base. People go on here and lose jobs. People get on here and go viral for simple mistakes. People will be harassed for the slightest reasons. People have their way of living CHANGED because of this app. Misinformation is out there and flourishing on Twitter, the speed of our communication is immeasurably fast - Twitter capitalizing on this only led us to faster misunderstandings and even faster judgement of others. End this madness and end Twitter. But to reiterate, the app is well made for a horrible company.
Updated Oct. 11, 2017: it's worse than last update.
by Snape on 2017/10/12 06:15
I can no longer move/reorder accounts, like I could, yesterday. Plus, there are huge lags, on some accounts. Yes, this is after uninstalling/installing, and then turning my phone off and back on. Is there any beta testing, before new versions are rolled out? It shouldn't be infested with bugs, and lag. Go back to one week ago, please, to version 7.7 or 7.8. Seriously, the last bad update we had, I used to go back to version 6.31.5 (courtesy of downloading it from my Mac), and it was a huge improvement in functionality, despite the giant step backward. It was worth it. Now I can’t even do that anymore, thanks to the bloody update on my Mac! Also, scrolling back to the top of a thread is a hugely bad idea. If you want to make it so we can toggle between seeing the first tweet or the last, great. Give us the option. *** Older review (though still applicable): Revert the app to one week ago, and don't touch it. Now, it lags, has fits and coughs, and quits... It's such a pain. I hate guinea-pigging updates. We shouldn't have to delete and reinstall to reset the app for better functionality. I chain tweets together, and it's aggravating to be typing along...and have a lag. My fingers keep moving in the hopes that the app will catch up. It does, seconds later, when I should be already on my next tweet.
a downward spiral
by Great app love photos on 2019/02/20 08:23
i love twitter. trust me, i really do. i’ve been on the app since 2014 and it’s extremely disheartening to see it start to go down hill. the most recent update is just tragic. why would the people of twitter feel the need to create a top tweets page and set it as my HOME PAGE ?? and if you switch it to ‘latest tweets”, you can see most retweets which is just absolutely amazing if the people you don’t want to see anything that the people you actually FOLLOW are retweeting. my home page is crowded with ADS and pointless top and trending tweets that the people i follow didn’t even retweet. this update is truly making me consider deleting the app. so yeah unless the mess of a home/latest tweets page gets fixed i can’t give it more than a one star review. if you even asked me a day ago to give a review i would have said 5 stars. it’s an honest shame that twitter is following the trashy path of other social media platforms by getting rid of a chronological timeline. r.i.p to a good app.
Account Is Still Locked And it’s been months
by Angie 😇 on 2019/02/23 15:38
My birthday was coming up so I decided I wanted to add my birthday to my twitter account. However when I did I was immediately locked out due to not meeting the minimum age requirement prior to when the account was created. I submitted a forum to unlock it and was told that I would be notified about progress and updates. I did not receive any notifications and it’s been over a month now. I finally found a link to submit an identification and am still locked out. Twitter said they would be deleting tweets from before I turned 13 but I didn’t tweet anything then so it really shouldn’t take long. My situation is that an older sibling made the account for me but I never used it until just last year. This has been happening since June to countless people and I too am just as frustrated. Twitter Support’s lack of effort and help is disappointing. Update: It’s been about 5 months now and my account is still locked? This is ridiculous.
Best social media app
by elidagodson on 2018/03/17 04:20
There is never a day where twitter does not cease to give me muscle spasmic laughter. The app's ability to unite people on a vast majority of topics on a regular basis on its own self regulating cycle continues to astound me. The simplicity of twitter continues to be its golden fountain that keeps users on their phones, not necessarily contributing to any particular topic, but looking on for comedic content or anything else that may catch their eye (most of the time it's comedic). Twitter is unique in the way users may use the app to release stress by using its interactive features to cope with anything they may be dealing with. Although there are many great things about the app, twitter is not for everyone, "but if it's not your type of meal don't eat it" -@queenblackwell (a twitter user that inspires and motivates me)
Best platform out there
by JustinMacri on 2019/04/21 03:20
Best platform best thing better then Facebook. Please keep Twitter alive change boot screen make it more nice then just a blue background with a white bird. Make it more easy for fans and better Facebook is so yesterday. Please also make better reply boxes do we don’t feel confused on were we need to reply a tweet also the gifs are a little crazy they need a better way at saying how they feel not cursing or stuff. Good app I wish they can say more what update is I wish also tgey updated the start up screen. Also please make twitter better and for tweet deck please fix the error of "user is suspended"

Been using this app for years and there’s one thing about it that grinds my gears. I have Video Autoplay turned on because some while scrolling through my feeds I just rather to watch a video auto play rather than tapping on it and hearing the sound. So I hate the fact that if I’m scrolling through my feeds and come across a video and I for some reason I put my phone down without exiting the app or locking the phone, that video will play a million times until my battery dies or I come back to the phone. And this happens very often because of my work and the fact that I fall asleep with my phone in my hand all the time. So how about you guys reduce the auto play on videos to about 5-10 times and they it stops so that it won’t kill my battery. The only other option is to turn auto play off and I don’t want to.

Company censorship is nonsensical. Life affirming tweets are considered mature content. So many normal people are kicked off Twitter because they don’t agree with unwritten “standards”. I was suspended for replying “learn to code?” in response to a comment about getting a job.

Safety, security, and the rights of human beings be damned.

by Mpolland on 2019/04/24 19:02
Ever since the most recent update I am unable to scroll through my photos in the app.

Awesome App

My Twitter use
by Martyf325 on 2019/04/24 15:31
I read many posts daily. I post a couple of times per year when the subject escalates me to do so. Twitter allows me to view ‘the entire universe” of responses without a partisan summary. I find it a useful tool in helping me to maintain objectivity... in a world controlled by bias

I really enjoy using the service in spite of its problems, but the app is a dumpster fire.

by Tiki_86 on 2019/04/24 13:06
The app is good, but you are easily banned or suspended for general tweets, while people upload videos of killing, sex and even child abuse.

There is totally a learning curve with figuring out how to post and use the app. I don’t quite understand how the newsfeed wks, it seems to jump and not be consecutive in dates. While I respect people’s opinion on an open platform I don’t think it is ethical to censor for political gain! America first 🇺🇸

Very disappointing.

by PJCI Guitar on 2019/04/24 05:03
I love the simplicity.
Warning!!! Violation of rules not enforced!!!
by Lorelaikaruza on 2018/01/06 10:57
The App overall is good. It does crash from time to time forcing me to delete it and reinstall.

Meh
by Woogieboogie_jeckel on 2019/02/24 05:54
Not “freedom of speech” friendly.
Needs to be tweaked
by cliffor26917473 on 2018/12/28 07:50
Twitter is not what it’s cracked up to be.

It does, seconds later, when I should be already on my next tweet.
a downward spiral

i love twitter. trust me, i really do. i’ve been on the app since 2014 and it’s extremely disheartening to see it start to go down hill. the most recent update is just tragic. why would the people of twitter feel the need to create a top tweets page and set it as my HOME PAGE ?? and if you switch it to ‘latest tweets”, you can see most retweets which is just absolutely amazing if the people you don’t want to see anything that the people you actually FOLLOW are retweeting. my home page is crowded with ADS and pointless top and trending tweets that the people i follow didn’t even retweet. this update is truly making me consider deleting the app. so yeah unless the mess of a home/latest tweets page gets fixed i can’t give it more than a one star review. if you even asked me a day ago to give a review i would have said 5 stars. it’s an honest shame that twitter is following the trashy path of other social media platforms by getting rid of a chronological timeline. r.i.p to a good app.

Please upgrade the twitter boot screen it needs a new bird logo the current one is getting kinda old we need twitter looking more refreshed.
