Broken on iPhone 12 Mini
by FloridaStateMan on 2021/01/15 23:42
I expect better from Adobe. App is very broken on the iPhone 12 mini. Buttons at the top are very hard to select and usually don't register. In addition using in landscape complete breaks the app.

Honestly i love this app and have recommended it to so many people. jumped on today, and tried to edit a photo and for the first time it bombarded me with “SORRY THIS IS A PREMIUM FEATURE, UNDO EDITS?” Why would y’all just now implement that after i’ve been using this app for literal years. i was so happy to find such an a amazing app that wasn’t money hungry, but y’all do you i guess 🙄

Updated version not really free
by Cortybear on 2021/01/15 01:11
I used to utilize this free app to touch up all my photos. But now what seem to be basic features are considered premium and require an expensive subscription (something that isn’t clearly specified until you try to save your photos). I won’t be using this app anymore. Quite disappointing.

by mdjcdnmslskc on 2021/01/14 15:04
Do not buy this app for editing/ps after a few images that I edited and saved I went back to make another and if you add more than 2 layers it instantly took me to a subscription that I almost payed for because of this stupids app software. They make you buy the subscription for multiple reasons I have found the following: more than two layers, can not custom cut out, or access some of the features that they say are free and INCLUDED. Only reason I’m righting this is because the app they created almost just costed me money because it instantly redirected me to a page with a subscription and it said confirm purchase.

Decent app
by Mrs. Swayze on 2021/01/13 04:14
I like the app and all, however, if I’m paying for a subscription I want to be able to use it on all my platforms. For example I have this on my phone obviously but if I want it on my laptop I have to pay for that too if not a different version of it. Makes editing a bit hard on a cell phone. Especially if you have giant man hands like me. Also, I wish there were more editing options on this app like background removal and different templates. Lately I’m having issues saving my work. It just freezes and I have to close the app and I can’t get the photo saved. I keep checking for an update and there isn’t one. It’s definitely not worth the 30 some bucks a year if you ask me. Maybe if you added Lightroom , and regular photoshop in with it , and allowing the option to some how get the app on my MacBook, I could fathom paying the price!
Don’t waste your time
by Auntiemariah on 2021/01/13 04:07
I had used and loved this free app for years. They have slowly removed the free features until it no longer is even worth opening up. Even editing your exposure is considered a premium feature now. And it’s not even clear what’s considered premium until you try to save your edits or use another feature. Suddenly they tell you that you have to upgrade or they’ll remove your edits. That’s when you find out what’s premium or not. I apologize to anyone to whom I recommended this app. If you’re looking for a free and easy editing app this one is not it. Don’t bother.

Pay walls ruined this app
by Ahvamaria on 2021/01/12 05:19
I have used this mobile app a decade on the fly as a photographer, now most features are all paid and expensive subscription needed rendering the app nearly unusable. Given there are so many alternative apps offering much more without so many restrictions I have moved on. Great way to treat loyal users of years. If your an Android user download an older version of this app to access all the now paid features. IOS users are out of luck unless your into expensive subscriptions.
Paradoxical: Powerfully Limited
by AvataroftheSun on 2021/01/12 03:24
A lot of the tools you get out of the box are great and can do a lot for altering a photo. Not sold on Premium, it’s hard for me to really tell what more I got once I started the trial, and it advertised layering and collaging features that I could not find. At this rate I’d rather use Procreate, which I’ve already paid for.

PHOTOSHOP EXPRESS.....NOT AS GREAT AS IT WAS!!!
by Aquitaine77 on 2021/01/10 20:10
UPDATED POST: This is NOT an UPDATE as the PREMIUM version is STILL embedded IN the regular PHOTOSHOP EXPRESS version!!!! MAKING IT VERY CONFUSING AND AWKWARD TO USE!!! WAY TOO easy to click on something ‘premium’ and then wind up being ‘hooked’ into the “PREMIUM” VERSION. It WAS a GREAT PROGRAM, and am sorry to say that unless you distinctly create two separate versions (FREE....Which you already had, & PREMIUM...The pay for version) I guess I will have to search for something comparable to what was the FREE version!!! SO SAD, as the ORIGINAL FREE version WAS TERRIFIC!!! ORIGINAL POST: You took a NICE simple editing program and are now PUSHING to get us to subscribe to your PREMIUM VERSION!!! SORRY, this is no longer easy or fun to use!!! The simpler version I would not have minded purchasing, but NOW.....NOPE....NOT THE WAY YOU SEEM TO BE PUSHING IT AT EVERY MOVE WHEN MOVING ABOUT WITHIN THE PROGRAM!!! TOO BAD......IT WAS A great program!!!
Price change
by fhrgrgefeg on 2021/01/10 18:36
They removed most of the free features to resell in a subscription. I used to love messing around with nature pictures but now all of the tools you care about cost money after 3 years of using it for free. ——UPDATE—— The developers response is a joke taking way stuff you give it back to the consumer for a markup is extremely anti consumer and is insanely greedy
Room for improvement
by CaliRya on 2021/01/10 18:16
This app seems to have some powerful features. Although, being brand new to it, I find there’s a noticeable learning curve. I expected each time I selected a new tool there’s be a little how-to blurb, animation or something, but I didn’t get any guidance. It took me a long time to figure out how to blur backgrounds, for example. Once I did, it worked pretty well. Also, after I saved my new image and went back in the app a few minutes later to make some additional tweaks, it had closed my photo. I put so much work into creating precise layers and now it seems I have to start over. Overall, a bit disappointing.
Unable to cancel premium subscription
by Sam Awk on 2021/01/10 07:12
Terrible product. Nothing a free app like PicsArt can do. I tried premium and now I can cancel it. It’s giving me run around - go to App Store then go through their settings to cancel but there is no option. Don’t install this malware.
Not worth your time
by kevins nefew joey on 2021/01/10 02:53
It’s really not worth your time anything interesting that you would want to put on your photo is locked because they want you to buy a stupid premium membership that they love to shove down your throat every ten seconds
Best app
by manjeno on 2021/01/10 01:55
I tried many editing apps, as a novice iPhone photographer. This is the best, easiest and simplest one. No unnecessary gimmicks, no weird stuff, but all the things you can imagine to need to make your pictures cool..
New update
by Craigalbertez on 2021/01/09 23:52
This new update is terrible. How did we have the option to view rearrange the layers we worked with before the update, now with the update there's no way to track what you're doing. The first rule in photoshop is to duplicate your first layer so you can always revert to the original. But now with this new update, there is no option for that. I am highly disappointed, especially since I pay for this app monthly, but now can't even use it properly. That is something major that needs to be updated immediately or I will be removing my service.
Paying premium for glitchy app not an option
by Roseyj100 on 2021/01/09 23:27
I too paid for this app a while back and am dismayed to discover Adobe has moved to a subscription model without compensating those who already purchased the app previously. Mixing in free and paid editing options without clearly stating what is free vs paid feels like an underhanded bait and switch tactic. Now to top it off it’s glitchy, freezing and crashing. I’ll look for something else.

All premium now?
by "JEP" on 2021/01/06 03:53
So when did everything in the app become premium? I’ve been using this app for a while now, took a break from editing, came back and now all of the decent edits are all premium. I didn’t mind paying for the edits, but when it’s been free for all of this time and then it’s all changed, it’s a little aggravating. Thanks.

Not FREE
by Capitalist Kev on 2021/01/04 21:06
You can’t do much with the free version so you can go ahead and skip this one. There’s plenty of photo editing apps that are just as good if not better then what this is offering. I’m sure it’s great of you plan on paying for it but let’s be honest, you’re a cheapskate like the rest of us.
Information Grab
by @6g9 on 2021/01/04 19:17
This app just grabs all your personal information and then asks you to pay money. Wasted a full 15 minutes filling out page after page just to not be allowed to use it.
Took features away for money...
by billy_magnum on 2021/01/04 15:40
DEV responded but still doesn’t get my point. I had features and they put them away behind a pay wall along with a slew of other “premium” features that I have absolutely no interest in using. It was great app but they have suddenly taken away a good amount of features and put them behind a pay wall. I just don’t think those features alone merit a ridiculous subscription fee. Time to move on...
Used to love the app until...
by Prolib13 on 2021/01/04 12:53
...I upgraded to premium. Now I can’t even use the app like I did before. I’m using on my phone to edit and the upgrade has made me unable to even access my photo library anymore. There’s an awkward strip across the middle of the screen which seems to not even make sense for my phone’s setup. This must be fixed ASAP! I was using this to create my own cover art for music projects and now all of that is lost because the “upgrade” has pretty much rendered this app obsolete on my phone.

by mr baker boi on 2021/01/04 01:38
My older brother had a project for school, and he asked me to add an arrow pointing to him in a picture, so I found the arrow I wanted, added it easily, but when I tried to save the picture it said I have to subscribe. App itself is good, but it’s not cool that to make any edit to a picture you have to pay.😡 Should have at least put something telling you that you have to subscribe, instead of hitting you with the pay screen when you’ve already made some little tweaks to your pic and are wanting to save it.

Falsely advertised as free trial and 19.99 for first year
by Derrick RR on 2021/01/02 22:26
About 10 seconds after double clicking to confirm my purchase, which was advertised as a free trial, then 19.99 for first year and then $34.99 thereafter, I got a notification from my credit card company for my purchase of $34.99. Honestly I’d probably be willing to pay that but now it is very likely I will contest the payment.
Beware of “Free Trial”
by Wallaby35 on 2021/01/02 19:42
Their free trial is not actually free. I was immediately charged for a year long subscription upon signing up for their free trial, so there is no way to see beforehand if you want to upgrade to premium.

by manohak on 2021/01/02 06:57
Unable to open Fuji RAF lossless compressed file which I find really strange because the file will open in their Lightroom app. It is a RAF (extention) Fujifilm raw file for the Fujifilm X-S10 camera. It can be uncompressed, compressed or lossless compressed. I don’t know why it doesn’t open because it will open in Adobe’s Lightroom app.
Taken away from existing users
by happygeelucky on 2021/01/01 23:11
I’ve used this app for years and loved it! However recently it now charges exorbitant fees for the same features Photo Express has always offered. I already pay for Adobe CC and refuse to support another Adobe based product. The policy of renting apps & never owning them is ridiculous!
Overpriced Adobe Garbage
by Sh1tonmyboots on 2021/01/01 17:32
This product is just like everything with the Adobe name on it - OVERPRICED. There are other applications on the App Store that are cheaper or free. It’s a shame that Adobe has become the overly greedy company they have become. As a retired graphic artist I no longer can justify spending money on their bloated software.
What happened
by CMMoore.1 on 2021/01/01 04:39
This used to be a great app. It was free, easy to use and you could turn out great content. Now the app pushes you toward the premium content and it’s all about the $$. It’s too bad Adobe had to be so greedy because they took a great product and ruined it. The premium features are intermixed with the regular features so you think you’ve edited a picture only to find out your getting pushed to upgrade if you want to save it. So disappointing and the pricing is ridiculous.

by fischers3sons on 2020/12/31 04:49

Waste of my time
by trinandgoose on 2020/12/30 22:50
I have used this app to edit my Instagram photos since 2018 and I have never had an issue with it... until now. I just updated and apparently the HSL section is now a “premium” feature! Extremely disappointed in Adobe’s greediness, this used to be such a great app but now it’s virtually useless to me. Would not recommend that anyone else waste their time, only to have the years they spent perfecting how to use the app wasted by a money-grab.

Update lens profiles for iPhone 12 lineup?
by Ted E. Bear on 2020/12/30 11:05
They seem to be available in Lr, can we expect Ps Express to identify them soon? Especially now that the Pro models can save full depth DNG... (They share the ones provided by the Camera RAW plugin right? Not sure how that works in mobile though) As far as the app goes, “express” feels like an appropriate epithet, it is cut down even more than Ps Elements, Lr is sort of full featured in that it can do pretty much everything the desktop version of Lr can; comparisons could be made to Lr classic, but there’s no real equivalent for Photoshop, with parts of its functionality being scattered and sometimes overlapping across the several mobile Photoshop apps (mix, fix, express, etc)
App No Longer Works, Extremely Disappointed
by LLM2399 on 2020/12/30 02:37
My boyfriend and I are both photographers and I have been using this PS Express app on my iPhone for almost a year now. I paid for the app and for the past almost month, the app has not worked. It will allow me to open a photo and begin editing, but then it completely freezes and the wheel in the center just spins. Every single time. I have to close the app out every time and have not been able to successfully edit anything in a while now due to this issue. I am extremely frustrated and disappointed that this app is no longer working because I was using it on a daily basis and depended on it to get my work edited in a timely manner. I would really appreciate some help getting things back up and running!
Ripped off.
by Lola lohamod on 2020/12/29 15:50

When I originally started using this app there were quite a few free features and all of a sudden you have extremely limited options. No warning, nothing. You have two collage grids to choose from, that’s it. I’m disappointed and will be looking for another app. I didn’t use much on here so it’s definitely not worth the $19.99 yearly cost.
Recently moved features behind a pay wall
by Yashicamat on 2020/12/26 06:53
Longtime user of PS Express, but no longer. They recently started requiring $ to use features that have always been freely available. I’ve deleted this app and will find something else to use for iOS photo editing.

This new version is unusable TRASH
by Goodvivations on 2020/12/25 19:44
The old version was an amazing app. This new version has all of these new features but then tries to make you buy them, and when you don’t, you can’t just go back to what you were doing. It removes every single edit you’ve made. Unusable for profit TRASH.
It’s great... BUT
by twitchynitch on 2020/12/25 10:17
The app overall is really good. Tons of greats tools that anyone can use. However, the ability to only be able to edit a “raw image” behind a paywall is a problem. Not because you have to pay for it, but it tells you it’s a premium feature and then doesn’t work. I was fine using just the free version, but on day said I’d give the free trial a go. It gives you the option to open both the original image or a JPEG, each time telling me it was unable to open the file. Glad I only wasted a trial instead of actual money for a feature that doesn’t work.
Yeah, yea
by MrsKato on 2020/12/25 07:50
I wish there was a bit more to do, like add photos to the photo. But it is free so I can’t complain, but overall good app 8/10 👍
Must Pay; Not Free
by Smith the one and only 1902 on 2020/12/24 23:15
I would honestly rate this a 5 out of 5... if they weren't bold face liars. This app is labeled as free. This app is not free. You are able to edit one element of a photo and then you are redirected to a paywall without even the option to save your photo. This app is perhaps one of the best photo editing software on iPhone but it is not free despite the free label.
Charged for free trial
by parker18584 on 2020/12/24 16:00
I used a 3 day free trial of the app, but canceled before I was charged for a subscription. A few days later I saw that it gave me the option to do a 3 day free trial again. I selected this not realizing it was going to charge me $35 for a year subscription.

Adobe photoshop editing app review
by anniemericle on 2020/06/18 15:51
I’ve only recently started using this app! It’s been on my phone for a while but i didn’t really have any interest in it. My phone used to be my mom’s and she had all the Adobe apps because she worked for the company! Anyways moving to the review part of this. I found it to be helpful to edit my photos that I took either of nature or myself or friends or find cool photos on the internet and kind of add on to their beauty. I then discovered the discovery page where people share their edits. I love it! I’ve always wanted people to see what I can do with photography as photography has a very special place in my heart. I love how people can like your photos. It’s like Instagram but it’s not like Instagram. What I mean by that is people share photos about their lives or what seems important to them and whether someone likes it or not you don’t have to worry about people thinking otherwise. The thing that separates this app from any other social media is there are no area for comments. I know comments are like the danger zones in social media! It’s scary to enter the comments not knowing what someone may think of what you post. This app makes me feel safe and comfortable about what i post. So over all I would recommend this app to anyone from 9 and up!
So much fun!
by YachtieM on 2020/08/22 16:23
I’m having a lot of fun designing my own inspirational posts from my own photos. Adobe PsX makes this very easy with the editing of each layer. There could be some minor improvements, eg in the stroke for fonts (I haven’t figured out to cancel out of that once it’s in place without deleting the text and starting over completely) and the choice background color of the message in combination with the font color (which I would like to be able to make my own combinations for), or the spot correction that doesn’t allow for spot darkening/lightening, as far as I can tell and the spot correction that takes a blob from not always the best next spot over & creating a layering of branches instead of a darker spot in the background kind of thing. Overall this app provides a lot of excellent features. There are also other Adobe apps that connect into it with ease, but I haven’t had the need to use them in conjunction with this one. My concern is that at some point Adobe will turn around and charge me for use of the whole thing or have a monthly subscription for it making an older version obsolete, as is my experience with another Adobe product I used for years and don’t use enough to get a monthly for. This trepidation and minor adjustment mentioned above (maybe I need to check out the help section on this) made me drop a star. In the end Adobe is amazing and does deliver with its photo development apps.
Is this the next Photobucket?
by 4knfast on 2017/11/15 17:15
Maybe the title has you scratching your head, but it’s what came to mind when I thought of the functionality that Adobe provides through Photoshop Express, Photo Fix, and Photo Mix — the thought that a poorly implemented monetization effort is not far behind. A backhanded compliment, to be sure, but I do have some genuinely positive things to say about Express. It has taken a lot of effort to become adroit at swapping among the three aforementioned apps, but in becoming so I have at my fingertips, literally, some very useful tools to improve, or simply create a different emphasis for, my pictures. I also have Adobe PS CS6 on my laptop, and I have to tell you that sometimes the quickest route to achieving my goal for a photo requires the use of all four applications. And that brings me back too my opening. The Adobe products are so scattered that they probably can’t persist in their current state amongst all the competition that is springing up, and to bring them together to remain competitive would be to cannibalize from PS CC. And PS CC is a ripoff. It’s closest competitor—that is getting closer every day—asks $20 to BUY their product. So, just as it appears Photobucket has signed it’s own death warrant with their pathetic monetization by hostage-taking, I fear Adobe could be heading in the same direction with its photo editing products. And they really have been The standard bearer.
Product Review With Request
by Westway72Tn on 2020/11/10 07:32
I've used Adobes photo apps for a long time and honestly think that their app layouts are Numero Uno. Lightroom, PS Express, and Photo Fix are used everyday and I couldn't do what I do without Adobe. Well I probably could, but it wouldn't be as easy as it is now. Now If I was able to design the final piece to my -Adobe Photo Maintenance Collection-, it would be an app that would allow the user to analyze any photograph to determine if that photo is actually the original image, or if it's been munipulated. An example of munipulation would be receiving an image that has possibly been overlayed with another image, maybe it's had parts removed by cutout, or something was erased. An app like that would be to cool. If possible the app would attempt to reconstruct the image to it's original glory. The user could just tap a fix photo button and the program would attempt to remove as much of the overlay / cover-up as possible, then it would attempt to rebuild the photo to it's original look. While your at it could you all throw in a simple -Focus My Blurred Photo button-. Just take a blurred photo that's recognizable and bring it into focus. I mean it's all 1's and 0's right? I'm sure you guys and girls at Adobe have got this wrapped up already. Cheers!
Honestly

Easily a 5 Star app if not for adobe’s constant angling for more money and more user data, updates that reduce functionality and unexpectedly lock you out of the app just so they can demand your email address in order to track and market to you. They already had the market cornered and had one of the most loyal customer bases of an software company that they’ve built up since the earliest days of Macintosh computers. They are ubiquitous in the desktop publishing industry world wide with zero competitors in sight (at least once quark dodo’ed out). Now that they’ve introduced their monthly leasing structure for their flagship products they are not only destroying what they’ve built up until now but more importantly they’ve stopped cultivating younger generations of loyal users who will choose other photo editing software packages that have a relatively minimal one price tag. No ones going to stop using photoshop who’s used it for years but students and other new users will be using other more affordable options. Basically I rant to say that adobe decided to bleed the goose that laid the golden egg for bigger quarterly gains. Suckers ruining a good thing. But this app for the iOS is on point and tight, if you know what your doing and not just interested in pre-fab filters there’s an impressive amount of photo editing options here. Get it together before that golden egg laying goose flys the coop.
Love being able to use Photoshop on my iPhone!
by LMCallais on 2020/10/01 21:16
I have been using Photoshop since I was assigned to PSYOP in the Army in 1992. I had received a minor in Studio Art with an emphasis in B&W Photography during the good old film days and Photoshop blew my mind! I was an Interrogator/Linguist/Interpreter and when I saw the Illustrators being able to manipulate the digital images I made sure to shadow them when I had finished my translations. Good thing I did because I was called upon to use the skills I had learned when we had no Illustrator available. After I finished my Army Career, I obtained a job which required me to use Photoshop in my daily duties. I loved how Adobe has continued to evolve and improve Photoshop over the the almost 2 decades that I have enjoyed using it. I now use Photoshop on a personal capacity. It amazes me that Photoshop is available on my phone and iPad. I am currently retired and Service Connected Disabled Veteran who also has Secondary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis, I have enjoyed learning compositing skills. I have done a series of self portraits showing my journey with Multiple Sclerosis. I have done other series, also. I share them with friends and the local Art guild. I believe that I will have a subscription to Photoshop - and the entire Suite, forever!
Best editing app ever!!!!
by sammi celi c. on 2018/10/26 03:57
I love this app! It’s also free and I am so thankful for that because I don’t have that much money but I love taking photos it’s one of my hobbies. On this app u can add filters that look awesome. You can also add blur which makes the photo look great! This app is rlly easy to use and I rlly like it. Btw don’t like ever write reviews for apps but this app is the best and a must have for photographers or anyone rlly. I have pics that I don’t rlly like and want to delete but before I delete them I edit them in this app the I rlly like how it turns out and ❤️ the pick. I also recommend huji which is not rllya editing app but it’s a camera app, but I like ps express more. I high recommend this app fr yo. Get it lol. (Sry for any grammar mistakes I didn’t reread it cuz rn I want to edit more of my photos) Anyways trust me get this app u won’t regret it. When I tell someone and tell them to trust me on this I mean it and I know it’s true and they may not believe then but in the future they thank me so much. So u may not believe but just try and then maybe like spiritually thank me. P.S. your welcome for recommending it (ik that at least 94% of the people who read this comment will be so thankful, I did my calculations)
A mixed bag...
by GGTriGeek on 2018/11/15 00:19
There are some things I really like about the app, and some things I really dislike. Positives: I really like the ability to create custom looks. This is a huge time saver... pull up a photo, apply your own personal style, and the photo is ready to save. I also like the adjustment tools as a whole. They are intuitive, easy to use, and cover my needs for post processing. Negatives: I hate the social part of the app. Every time I start the app, someone’s hoot pops up and I need to exit this to get to my photos. For social feeds, I use Instagram and I shouldn’t be force fed social media just to modify my pictures. This is a more recent update... you didn’t get that splash screen in the past. Ideally we should be able to disable this in settings. The other negative is the app can be slow or crash at times. This has happened for well over a year, and I originally thought it was my old iPhone. Nope... same issues when I got my iPhone X at the end of last year. It will freeze on a photo and take a couple of minutes to make one adjustment. This doesn’t happen in other photo processing apps I’ve used, just this one. Overall, it’s still the app I use most often for ease of use... I just wish the social splash could be turned off, and that the stability would improve... and I’d give it a 5.
Undeserving of the photoshop name

With affinity photo and other zillions of this type of app out there, this is kind of an embarrassment. To each their own, and not knocking anyone for liking it, but as a professional, this app - and their others - are not what you’d expect from adobe if you’ve relied on them for desktop software in the past. I can see plenty of instagrammers and selfie takers loving this, and that’s great - it’s nice to go beyond what apple stock apps and Instagram filters have to offer. 👍 However - Their scatterings of iOS apps meant to ‘add up’ to a pseudo-desktop ‘suite’ of features and offerings is exactly that - scattered. And highly frustrating because of it. There should be a much more robust amalgam of these apps for the iPad. Which the competition has already completed, so one must assume that adobe was and is always going to consider their iOS apps as lightweight apps for your phone only. Too bad, really. I appreciate adobe sketch, and I know that some of these apps have some perks and are designed fairly well, so it’s not like incompetence, it’s a plain and metered decision by adobe. With their pricey subscription model on desktop, and this ‘strategy’ for iOS, I can’t see them being top dog for much longer. Affinity and others may swallow them up while they remain somewhat oblivious and/or too profit-minded to survive this mobile/new-school editing software revolution.
Please help🙏🏻

Hello, I know I probably won’t get a response but it’s worth a shot. I have downloaded more photo editing apps than you can imagine. I have tried so hard to figure this issue out and I can’t for the life of me. So I’m really desperate at this point. Can you please tell me how to resize an image without compromising the photo? PSexpress gives you the aspect ratio presets for different social media platforms to choose from. But, it doesn’t matter what I choose because it always cuts off my photo. I don’t want to do that. I want to be able to fit in the FULL size photo. If it means I could crop it into being a full sized photo, I would be willing to loose on the quality. And, I don’t want to put it on a white background so that the photo fits in that square because I would still be loosing on the photo. I want to be able to resize to whatever dimension I need to in order to fit the photo in different social media platforms. I know that a lot of these platforms automatically compress the photo for you but, I would like to resize it before I upload so I don’t compromise the photo, and it doesn’t get cut off. I have watch many videos yet, I can never get it. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could suggest what I can do to fix this frustrating problem. I would be so grateful!!
Has been my go-to for years now

I have used the free photoshop express app on several generations of iPhones. Before Apple had editing right there in your iPhone photos. But honestly, even since the Apple editing has been included I still prefer using this Photoshop app. I’m no professional by any means so I have no idea how to articulate what it is that’s better lol but. I feel it’s extremely user friendly and has great options and features/tools to use in the free version (I’ve never even considered the premium). And... if you have used any other photo editing apps then you KNOW what I mean about the apps just suddenly kicking you out. Seriously aggravating when they just suddenly shut down and close the app thereby losing your edits and whatnot. I have never had that issue with this photoshop express. There are no advertisements either like some apps have. Previously, I would have said that I wish it had a couple other features so that I didn’t have to go to another second or third app to doodle on the pics or add a text overlay etc. but it appears as if they have added these things now! So, before I start sounding like a paid advertisement lol I digress.
Must have for everyone of all ages and with beginner to advanced knowledge of photo “editing”
by K.C Morgan on 2018/12/19 17:55
It’s everything you can expect from Adobe! The favorite , to me anyway, is the collages variety! It’s not just squares beside each other, you got everything you can imagine including cool shapes like triangles or circles with as many photos as you can want( I don’t know that for sure , but so far I have used a collage with 12 photos and it looked awesome! The shapes also are aligned in many ways to make a huge impact and you can also size them each individually. It literally almost limitless what you can accomplish with these bold and exciting new look of collages! You can also add text with many options of the best fonts and can input them with “templates “ that are basically awesome quotes that you see on Pinterest or Facebook except you can edit the words, font, and color even the alignment ! Highly recommend !!!! I used it to sell things on offer up , eBay, or any site because it enables you to put everything on the first photo along with the price or info in a eye catching design that entices buyers to click to view your item(s)!!!
Easy to use
by Anne643152 on 2019/10/10 01:46
Great if you have an online store. My god this shaved about 40min per picture compared to what I was using before for stark white-flat-lays. Basically you only need basic understanding of... using apps... and you’ll be able to mess around with this and figure it out even if you’ve never used it before. Honestly. It’s user friendly IMO and way less “computer person” (lol) than the full photoshop computer program, yet you can edit pictures and make them look nearly as professional, or just as, depending on what you’re doing (like in my case to make the white backgrounds- this app lets me make pro-level ones). If you just want a picture to edit your selfies, this is probably a bit more advanced photoediting than say, FaceTune, and you probably need to know how to edit pix a bit more than you do on that app. But for anything professional, products, to make nature/scenic pix pop, to add text, etc- it’s fantastic. Also, it makes the best collages of any app I’ve ever used. Hands down. I really never review apps, but I love this one. And I love the sister apps that go with it. Fantastical. Seriously have no complaints that I can think of.
Best app for amateurs and professionals while on their phone
by Gregknowles22 on 2019/05/08 03:59
I started using Adobe Photoshop in 1992 while in College to become a photojournalist. I remember still the awe I felt going to Mrs. V’s class. What incredible things would I see today? I try to hold on to those feelings in a world now full of altered images. It’s exciting, yet sad, that we seem to have lost ourselves in the realm of the surreal. I believe this app is incredible. There is no competition for handheld devices. Constantly improving while keeping its roots steady. At this point, I use the remove flaws tool as I used the original clone tool with great precision. If you’re at all confused or frightened by all the options photoshop has to offer, my advice to you is the words Mrs. V once told me...Just play. If I could give you any advice for improvement, I’d say look to the filters on instagram. I still prefer their options to any others offered here. And the effects offered by Carbon are brilliant! I’d add a Leica effect for selective focus and unique background pixilation and a hasselblad effect for a medium format look. That’s all. And if I could have my old clone tool with the choice of brushes...I’d be in Heaven. Thank you!
Always the standard
by gdongusgold on 2019/05/01 08:13
Sure, I’ll get excited about a new app with a unique feature or one with the standard offerings packaged differently enough to qualify as a novelty or disguise itself as a convenience - but they always fail to perform for long (usually get sluggish or think annoying commercials are what I deserve for using the product) and my excitement gives way to rational thought, and rational thinking is the antidote to impulse buying. But I win because while I may be out a couple dollars I learned something and I end up where I was doing well and knew the team on the other side of the app represent the gold standard in their industry. The only less than stellar features I’ve found were in the collage mode where resizing is not as simple as I’d like. Turns out it’s easier to delete the cell or whole collage than it is to edit it or find the help menu in a hurry. Every other feature and function is top notch and you can count on the Adobe team to keep it running smoothly.
Bug with Recent updates (~2mo's ago)
by Bwa236 on 2019/04/09 05:21
I held off writing a review because I hoped Adobe would fix this problem. I enjoy this app very much and it's a robust, useful, full-featured app. BUT....accessing it via the Photos app (e.g., by clicking Edit and using PS Express to edit the photo in the Photos app interface) has become buggy all of a sudden. More than 75% of the time I edit a pic this way, when I go to save it the screen will go black and the little "working" animation will twirl around and around. And it never saves the changes. INFURIATING. Often I will close the Photos app, reopen it and try to edit it again only for the same result. Sometimes a third time is the charm and it will save the photo edits. Opening the PS Express app before doing this doesn't change the outcome. I prefer being able to quickly edit it via the Photos app as the workflow is easier than loading manually in PS Express directly (when I have many to go through). This only started about 2 months ago. I have iPhone 8, 256GB, latest iOS updates. Please please fix this, it's been a bug for long enough. Contact me if you'd like me to video record this happening or for help recreating the issue. Thanks!
My go-to app for quick edits
by Korubisutaa on 2017/12/11 20:13
I love all of the Adobe CC suite apps but this one probably gets the most day to day use. Unlike other editing apps, I've never had a crash and lost work, it is extremely stable, and doesn't lag when applying changes... Unlike some other apps that are badly optimized as far as ram usage. I like that you can make and save your own filters, in other apps I can achieve the same look I want but if I want to apply it to multiple images it's a pain in the neck of remembering the order of settings and their intensity. With PS Express that hassle is no more. It's so versatile too, I can use it to crop and adjust before importing (easily, I might add) into another image editing app, but I can ALSO do the reverse and use PS Express for the finishing touches. It all depends on the task at hand and what I want to achieve. I'd give it five stars if it had layers, though importing into Mix, among others, gives me that option so it's only a minor annoyance as some images could be done fully in Express if it gave the option for layers. But it's a really amazing app nonetheless and I highly recommend it.
I wish I could find a tutorial on using the app.
by colorflow on 2020/09/24 14:03
I like Photoshop as a way to enhance the CD 3-D quality of my images and to make sure that after cropping in Apple‘s photos that my pieces are sized in a way that becomes useful for other applications. I wish when enhancing the color went from blue to orange instead of green to purple. Photoshop is a good way to back up your photos where they’re not compressed like they are on the Apple cloud. This makes your files larger and clearer when you want to export them. As I mentioned in my title I feel I’m not getting the full benefit of the program and would deeply appreciate Photoshop making a updated tutorial for using it as an app. Also I’d like to take the opportunity to mention that for those of us who are older doing tutorials in a slower more deliberate way makes reading the visual information we’re given more obtainable. I should say that I do what can be called art photographed every day and appreciate Photoshop. I have ordered the 2020 iPad Pro in part because I understand that I get most of the tools that photo shop has to offer in the newest version. I am looking forward to exploring when I get my new iPad.
No longer works for iPhone!
by dancingheart67 on 2020/03/04 14:31
Ok I updated my phone app and very little is open, it says I need a subscription. How is it that it all continues to work on my iPad? I remember paying a one time fee (on my iPhone) that opened the adobe suite in the past. So I can only edit on my iPad only and all the adobe products seem very integrated on my iPad, but not on my iphone nothing works and pictures won’t open between any adobe apps. and I am logged in. I’ve hit restore purchases and nothing happens. There is nowhere in the app to buy any subscriptions or purchases, and nothing works correctly. So I give it three stars because it works (for now) on the iPad and all my purchases are there and open and apps still work, but not at all on the iPhone. And you can’t find any instructions on what to do to get purchases back or where to go to purchase again. There is no way to email the devs in any app. No instructions for iPhone at all and what works on my iPad does not handoff to iPhone! It was great and now is actually worthless (as I do most of my picture taking and editing on my iPhone) unless I airdrop my photos to my iPad.
I use PS more often than I thought I would
by jbiancalana on 2017/11/19 20:09
I am a hobby photographer, so had a hard time justifying the monthly subscription fee. However, I use the whole suite of Adobe photo manipulation tools more often than I thought I would. In addition, my photography also has significantly improved not just because of post editing, but because I am more thoughtful about what I can do post-editing. For example, I would often take tight photos and shoot jpegs only because I did not take the time to edit my photos. Since I know I will process my photos after a shoot, I don’t take super tight shots because I know I can do a far better job cropping with software than through a viewfinder. Also, I am almost never frustrated from overcropping when taking the photo anymore. I also always shoot raw giving me the additional flexibility to adjust exposure settings if I didn’t get it right the first time. Finally, I am far more selective about what photos I keep since editing is a little time consuming.
It’s ok
by L1zz1e P on 2020/07/28 06:30
Use it every day but that’s bc the other one isn’t showing up. the previous adobe all access version better for ipad. like fresco a lot tho - i think adobe needs to work on not only creating new products like fresco but empowering the community of creatives better. adobe bridge and lightroom now have many overlaps —- no one young uses bridge but it’s an imperative application!!! empower your community w knowledge. this isn’t about creating a super user friendly dumb down adobe bc you want regular people to use it... this should be focused on empowering designers of all breeds, whether graphic illustration photographer etc. LASTLY - YOU NEEED A LIVE WORK OR MOODBOARDING TOOL LIKE ENVISION FOR PHOTOSHOOTS and moodboards that can literally take the CD from an interactive call sheet where all members of the board can discuss the concepts before, during, and after the photoshoot, not to mention the features that automate create palettes.... adobe envision is the next frontier for you - it’s a creative lab that helps make big creative endeavors as painless as possible.
Excellent App; Two Suggestions...
by JustaRottenGirl on 2018/01/28 19:13
This will make your photos freaking sparkle! A sweet and free photo editing app that offers a lovely and helpful arrangement of filters, effects, and tools for your general and extra photo needs. It has a sleek design and I genuinely enjoy using it. It made my regular old photos pop within a few seconds- it looked like I’d taken professional photos- pretty impressive! I even edit HD wallpapers to my taste- super sweet. However, there are 2 suggestions I’d make: 1. The ability to save while you’re editing, I.e. ‘save progress’ instead of just saving once at the end. Sometimes I get stopped in the middle of editing to take another photo or just because I have to leave the app. 2. Allow users to apply more than one design effect per save. It’s laid out so that the editing process goes in order from filters/design effects, to cropping, lighting/color/clarity/contrast adjustments, to red eye etc. So you can’t apply more than one design effect per process- ex. If I wanted to add the design effect of ‘soft’ AND ‘spring’ I’d have to edit the first time with one, save it, and edit the new photo again to apply the second design effect- which is a tad annoying because often times I’d like to layer my effects. I usually just edit the new saved photo to curbside this feature. Overall an excellent introduction into photo editing apps- this is making me consider investing in more editing apps. I’m highly pleased with this :) solid 4/5!!
People should read descriptions
by DayWalkerDANI on 2020/12/19 17:41
This isn’t photoshop, it’s PS express and is strictly a very basic photo editor, primarily for editing photos for like social media and stuff. It’s pretty obvious based on recent reviews that people aren’t reading descriptions and then writing negative reviews because they failed to read and just hit download, and because they want products for free. This app is great for very basic photo adjustments and expression. It’s intuitive and easy to navigate, and provides all the basic photo editing one needs. It’s not Photoshop and isn’t for removing parts of images, if you want that, you’ll have to use PS on a desktop. Not sure why people expect everything to be free, it’s 2020 and people need to pay their bills and eat, to expect developers to just give you their hard work for free is plain silly and selfish. If you don’t want to pay for it, find another app full of ads instead of complaining on reviews that you have to pay for a product you’re using.
Not all exceptional things have to be complicated
by Blue Phoenix radio on 2020/08/26 04:09
I’ve been an Adobe product user for about 25 years, and I’ve seen the rise of different suites of programs but no program has defined Adobe more than Photoshop. This mobile version is a useful tool, it’s not complex it’s missing a lot of features you would think would be a part of Photoshop… But it is for the phone, and it is for the wider world of users. That being said it is an invaluable tool, and those who have Adobe software for other operating system should remember that you have extra feature of expanded features, easy login… And flawless saving across all your Adobe accounts through your login. The only question is why aren’t you already using it? My family stays enthusiastically engaged with Adobe products including my husband and my teenage children who are artists and filmmakers. Photoshop will give you a tool, where are you take it from there is entirely up to you.
All Functions Continuously Frozen
by Ironsidefan on 2019/03/19 06:44
I installed this app on my iPhone XS Max around four weeks back. It had a different design user interface that all made sense, and worked. I initially installed it to use its photo mirror reverse feature, but afterward began discovering what all else it was capable of. Several weeks passed which during I was notified and installed an update from the developer. At the end of that period I needed to utilize the mirror reverse feature again, and discovered the changes to the layout of the user interface. From that point until now nothing works. It is all frozen except for a function labeled “Collage”. I notified the developer, and they replied requesting screen captures of what was showing, as well as clarification of the situation. They replied three times altogether, but since have gone “silent”. I told them in my first message that if nothing changed after a week, that I would be permanently deleting their app as in its current state it is nothing more than completely useless when all of its icon controls remain in effect as an “oil painting”. As I have not received any further communication from them tonight I followed through, and permanently deleted their app.
Used to be amazing.. but keeps getting worse.

I used to love this app and everything about it. I’m sure to most professional photographers it may not be much, but for me, it does all I need, plus some. I have used this app for quite some time. There were issues in the past that happened very rarely that I was able to just look past due to the updates and bug fixes. However, now it’s basically not even worth it anymore. Half of the filters don’t work! I’ll tap one (one of my favorites) only to see it puts it back to its original setting and doesn’t put a filter on the photo at all, even though it says I have applied it. Before it would just be a few filters and then like I said before, an app update with bug fixes would help. Not literally 50-60% of the filters don’t work. You tap them only to see they put your photo back to the original setting. And no, this isn’t due to a premium setting type filter either. It’s both premium and basic filters. This app is practically useless now, which is a real shame because it was me favorite for the longest time.
Better!
by Damagetwin2077 on 2018/01/06 20:13
Update 2: Kudos to the developers who actually read these comments and care about user experience. The recent update allows for solid color backgrounds for collages however, this doesn’t completely fix the issue because of a few issues. 1. The color pallets for borders and backgrounds are different. 2. The color sliders for the CMYK and RGB are difficult to get a specific number on and 3. Even if you pick the same color, which is easiest to do using the themes, there is still a hairline border between the edge of the border and the edge of the background. I miss when I could just add radius to the border and not have to mess with the background. Update 1:This app was recently updated but the issue with collages remains. When you apply a radius borders the app creates a white layer that makes your border look terrible. There isn’t a solid fill option to fill the White later just patterns and gradients. The new update is a step backwards. The collage maker is not completely functional because you can't get rid of edges with out Mix. The text editor is woefully under powered compared to Fontcandy.
Love this app
by Lofuel717 on 2019/07/20 02:49
It’s great! Even though I am still slowly learning the ends & outs of everything it has to offer, so far I am all about it! I don’t have a lot of time to sit and work on a photo for a long time very often & with ps express I don’t have to. It’s simple and speedy so I can see good results within a few minutes. You can have a great photo where your smile is perfect but possibly have a few blemishes (or in my case, wrinkles) & with this app you can smooth them away, essentially perfecting your photo. If you have a picture that just needs “something” but you don’t know what it is, you can always use the magic wand & see what this app can do for your picture. I am amazed at a few that I had just about decided to throw away but with one tap they were not only save worthy, they became frame worthy. I highly recommend this app for your photo fixes. There is not anything about it that deserves less than a five star review! All in all a great app!
Amazingly easy photo editing app
by Taxykab on 2020/07/18 03:17
This one of the easiest photo editing apps out there. I’ve tried a few and so far I click with this one, i like how the tools are organized and the tool capabilities match the users skill level: beginner, intermediate and advanced. I’ve even used this on the fly at work when I needed to meet a deadline. Photo was too dark so emailed photo to personal email, edited on phone, emailed back to work email. I would give this app 4 and 3/4 stars if I could because there are a few issues that annoy me. 1) I like the photo collage feature - but developers - LET ME PRINT A COLLAGE TO AN 8x10 photo paper size!!! Some of us old schoolers want to PRINT the collage, not see it online. 2) Developers - increase the # of photos I can add to a collage. 3) Developers - please please please - organize photos like Apple so it is searchable by All/Day/Month/Year. It is a pain to scroll through a year of photos, on my phone, to find/edit the one I want.
My “Go To” Photo Editing App
by OhDiedraDarling on 2019/07/29 21:45
PS Express by Adobe is my main “go to app.” Among the 4 or 5 photo apps I most use, PS Express: is my fav.’ I’d estimate I do 60 to 70% of my photo editing in PS Ex. I recall my incompetence w even basic level Adobe Photoshop those days. Photoshop Pro’s higher functions were so beyond my skill they nearly gave me nightmares. After smart phones w infinite apps came along, I found PS Ex’ a quick learn (suiting my habit of reading user manuals only as a last resort 😬). I see positives even in unpleasant changes when I can. In 2007, a repeat DUI offender forever altered my life by crashing into me head-on at high-speed. Till then, I’d enjoyed a familial gift at photography w little time to feed the skill. That awful crash forced me into a less physical lifestyle. I was thus able to pursue photography enough to be homespun into a photo editing junkie :-). Without PS express, I wouldn’t have developed the skills to feed my interest. I consider taking photo’ classes. Thanks PS Express & Adobe!
Needed a photo editor that did more than just add filters
by AmandaWaseskuk on 2019/01/06 15:49
This photo editor works great! And so far it is completely free, I have not run into anything that says “premium only” or anything like that. I had access to everything on the app. All you have to do is sign in via Facebook or Google and then you just get to work editing your photos. I had a picture that I took at Christmas that had some red eye, blemishes, and the sun light made a very weird line across my forehead in the picture. I was able to fix all of these things as well as add a great filter, which was hard to choose because they have so many! And it gives you the option to add a little bit of each one instead of just messing with how much of one filter like most ones do. You are completely creatively free in how you choose to edit your photos. I’m glad I downloaded this and will probably use it to fix up most of not all of my photos in the future!
My staple
by Hhxfjmcdh on 2018/12/12 01:57
I’ve been using these Photoshop Expresses for years. I’ve been through 4 progressively newer models of iPads, about to get my 5th, & Photoshop Express has always been my staple. I like to draw & dink around and I mess with photos a lot. I have more than a dozen different photo editors, collage makers, and artsy apps. But still, none have come even close to what Express can do. Enlight is good but not close. The best thing about The Adobe Expresses is that they constantly update and add new features and mini apps to go along with the others. I’ve been thinking for a few weeks now that I wish they had better filters to work pictures that’s available while in Express Fix. Low & behold what do I find as I opened the app, a page showing off all the new filters available. Now I gotta go look at the other new stuff. Wow its almost like Christmas! Oh wait, timings off. 🎄Merry Christmas and/or Happy Holidays. Now go get Express.
TERRIBLE BUGS
by KaitlynKaitlyn on 2020/09/14 13:17
I subscribed to Photoshop Express mobile and it’s garbage. It will not confirm my purchase even though I have paid for a month. It will say “Purchase Confirmed. Waiting for feature activation.” with a white background and loading wheel and will stay that way nonstop. I will click purchase again and it will say “Purchasing...” and nothing happens. I will click “Restore purchase” and it will have a “Restoring purchases” message with no change, same loading wheel. I have deleted the app and reinstalled it multiple times and nothing changes, same errors, always. It will ask if I want a 3 day trial even though I am subscribed, and even if I try to confirm that, I get the first “Purchase confirmed. Waiting for feature activation...” message AGAIN. There is nothing that will hey this app to work for me to export edits and use all tools EVEN THOUGH I HAVE PAID. Trying to get help for their “support” is ridiculous. I’ve just been out through the loop multiple times in that regard even. I don’t understand the high ratings because I can’t be the only one with this error. My phone is an XS Max and fully up to date on software. It’s literal GARBAGE for an app.
Text Feature
by AECOON on 2020/04/08 16:18
As per their request, I am reviewing the text feature. It’s the least I could do in return for this amazing app & those who develop it. The text feature is GREAT for making social media posts, memes, or just a funny photo to send to your best friend (yes!) The best part about the text feature is that it has templates; so that really helps make your finished product look polished and less amateur. But you don’t have to use a template; you can freestyle it. You can change the font, color, shadow, etc. It’s great for business use and personal use. If I had to ask for anything, it would be: 1)more font options 2)the ability to change the text opacity (I wish I had the app pulled up next to me, in some instances you CAN change the opacity but not always and I can’t remember which function provides this) Also, the text option itself isn’t available for desktop (most of the features aren’t available for the desktop app) Overall, the text feature is simple and straight forward. The template feature is awesome. Hollistically, this app is perfect and then some; and it’s free! Original Review: 5 stars Perfect. And then better. And then perfect. And then more features! It’s so great in functionality, it’s intuitive, the results...your photographs are AWESOME. AND ITS FUN TO USE! This app actually does feel like a true gift; I don’t ever find myself taking it for granted. (Did I mention that it was free?) THANK YOU ADOBE THANK YOU PHOTOSHOP LOVE ASH
Freelance to Professional
by Leandera Greenwood on 2017/09/20 13:25
This app is absolutely stunning! From allowing you to rotate and transform horizontal axis views ect. from the new update, to color blocking, lighting, and every possible filter and feature in between it is a high recommendation to both beginners and pros alike. I've used this app for about 4 years now and never once had it failed me. To think, I started off as a beginner finding random things to photograph and awkwardly squatting in the supermarket aisle so "the bottles hit the lights just right" to now having my hobby as a career! The biggest shocker is all I have ever used for my photography is a simple iPhone 6 camera.. My pro secret is any camera is the perfect camera with the right editor. The only thing I would like to recommend is layering, like having one filter on and being able to add another ontop of it. But until then, I'll manage by just saving one filter edit to my phone and simply re-editing it.
Great for all enthusiasts
by photosynthesislove on 2020/08/09 00:16
It’s pretty fantastic - I’m runnining it on N iPad Pro with raw files from a 5d mark III and it has no problems at all - I love the mirror effect but I wish it would allow for fuller frame or an option for a rectangular finish - either way it slays the other tablet and phone apps I’ve used in the past to be frank this is the first time I’ve been satisfied with the functionality and creative flexibility in any photo finishing app that I was able/willing to travel for 6 weeks with no computer - the save function “to camera roll” only was my number one complaint on the trip - ne ice to enjoy a batch function for us Lightroom lovers that just need a temp correction for a fbook post - would love to know if that is coming or already available in another app. Bravo any way - super functional easy to use easy to run on this iPad anyway - an imagine on the larger iPad Pro w the 6gb ram it would be starling fast - 3 Cheers =)
Great Achievements
by East Beth on 2020/06/22 01:24
I have nothing bad to say about this photo app because it’s a Great App . I belong to some photo restoration groups on Facebook , and have been given rave reviews on a lot of photos I’ve worked on . I’m always asked what program I use I recommend this app , and they too have great results with repairing and restoring photos for free . We don’t charge anything for the service that we give to our group members , some photos are beyond help but I give them a try to show the person I put time and effort in trying to achieve the results they expect from our group members . The app is easy to use and gives great results - it gives many options and filters to work with . I gave it a Five Star rating , because I really like it and you will not be disappointed in downloading and using it . And look into the new updated Versions of PhotoShop .
Glitchy
by MezzoMH on 2018/08/16 05:11
I love Photoshop, but recently it’s really glitchy when I am making collages. It stretches the picture when I try to save it to my camera roll, and any text becomes very distorted. I’ve been having to screenshot my collages and crop them from my camera roll. It’s also really glitchy when trying to add text to the collages. It keeps randomly switching the text/themes. It will also randomly undo things I’ve done, and it’s hard to get it back to the way I want it. It sometimes even freezes, and I can’t do anything with it and have to close the app, then go back in to start over. If I could find another app that makes edits as nice as Photoshop, I’d definitely use it instead. It’s just become so frustrating... It takes me at least three times as long to do a collage, just working around the glitches. I haven’t run into any issues while just editing photos, but there are definitely some problems with the collage portion of the app that need to be worked out.
Great but could easily be greater...
by Anarobotic on 2019/07/24 15:20
Currently has a few bugs and glitches, especially as it correlates with your photos library and it’s own saves etc. A few other little features would make this a stellar app, like being able to isolate (maybe by drawing a lasso tool) in order to perform edits on particular areas of the photo, dial in specific colors in HSL and to edit/composite a few layers would be super! Also, to simultaneously apply filters, like HDR & White Balance, and “Looks” etc. All in all, I’m very grateful for the app and find it really helps do what Photos simply cannot. Ps. Would love to subscribe, but being we’re a non-profit w/ limited resources for marketing and communications, adding 9.99 a month for something we’ll only publish or use a couple times a month (as we haven’t dedicated staff for it) is a tad steep. It’s not that 9.99 breaks the bank, but when added to the total tech & communications budget it adds up 😅
So close to being super useful...just misses the mark.
by badchicken987 on 2019/07/05 16:42
I downloaded this app with the expectation that it would be as useful both for my art business as a way to make quick composites of my stock and, personally to make cute collages of my son. The inability to manually manipulate the shape, placement, and size of each photo makes it extremely frustrating to use. Say nothing of the fact that you can’t adjust the image to fit in the window. Honestly, it’s faster and less frustrating for me to just get out the laptop when I want to make a collage. There are several (albeit less reputable) websites where it’s also easier. That said, the photo editor is fun and I appreciate the variety of formatting for the collage background, so that you can be sure your work will show correctly on Insta or Facebook. Just not what I expected from Photoshop🤷🏻‍♀️
Puts limits on files
by CleverNameGoesHere on 2019/09/03 20:53
Pictures I edit using this app and then save to my camera roll are unable to be seen by other apps. For example, I edit a picture & save to my camera roll, then open Snapchat to post it and the picture isn’t there. All other pictures appear except ones that I’ve edited using this app. (The problem isn’t limited to Snapchat, that’s just an example!) The pictures are visible in my camera roll in the built in iOS Photos but not if I’m viewing the iOS camera roll from a different app. There is absolutely no support for this app. None. I tried for hours to get someone to help me solve the problem of the disappearing photos and all they would tell me is to go to the forums... and if you’ve been to the forums you know how unhelpful they are. I know it’s a free app but if you’re going to put restrictions on photos you need to be upfront about it. I’ve paid for various things to be unlocked in the past but all of those are lost because everything is now free and yet I can no longer post or share the photos I’ve edited to the media I want. What a joke.
Awesome even for Amateur
by Mc12062011 on 2018/10/25 15:38
Unfortunately I don’t know much about photography, and I’m also a beginner artist. I needed to edit a photo for both clarity and color of a cat. I’m working with colored pencils which is especially challenging. This app has so many options! Even as an amateur, I was able to play around with the options to make my photo easier to use as my reference. I still have a lot to learn on taking photos that show detailed fur, but this app really gave me something I could work with. My cat is an orange tabby and I was able to get colors that closer matched her actual tint. I was also able to save it to my photo roll so I have both original (although this app does state that original is never lost) and the edited version. It will accomplish more than I will ever comprehend so I think both experienced and novices will find this app very helpful.
Applicable for entry level to more advanced users
by GreenBayGirl on 2018/12/22 20:03
The thing to note is that this is an “express” version of the well-known Photoshop program by Adobe. As an app that is not intrusive on my phone and does not demand high monthly subscription fees, I absolutely LOVE this app! I use it on my iPad Pro, but I also have more advanced editing apps there. I also have this on my iPhone 7 Plus and Note 8 and enjoy using it on all platforms. It is wonderful that a person without any knowledge of what a ‘layer’ is can easily navigate their photo edits. For those who are more advanced, you can still save edits as layers and export to other versions of Photoshop. I appreciate the versatility of this aspect allowing non experts to still take advantage of Adobe’s more basic uses while not preventing a pro from getting a quick start on edits on their phone or tablet. Thanks for this!!!
Great but not impressed
by TIKt0k2020 on 2020/10/03 19:33
This app is great, it’s Brush tool and everything is great but there’s one thing that is so annoying in all the apps. It randomly pops up a screen to buy subscription and if you cancel it, it will remove all edits. AND it asks you to pay for subscription every time your done with a progect and says if you don’t buy subscription it will remove all edits. So of course people can screenshot right? NO when you screen shot a loading sign appears to ruin the picture so you cant screenshot. It also automatically makes it really blurry on purpose and says if you buy subscription it will unblur it. I AM NOT AT ALL IMPRESSED WITH THIS FEATURE but it is worst in computer. I Had the crappy version on my computer so I was updating to the good version. When it was done after 2 hours of waiting I opened it and set all of the setting to what I want AND THEN WHEN I LAuNCH it, IT SAYs IF I DONt BUY Subscription IT WILL UNINSTALL the app. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS APP IF You DONt WANt TO pay THE EXPENSIVE subscription!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice to have but not the best
by CornBreadEarl&TheGang on 2019/01/16 14:48
PS for mobile devices should be combined with at least LR so bouncing between files isn’t a hassle and so there should still be an option to edit raw files within PS. Also, if it doesn’t now, I feel that PS should be able to sync with PS CC 2019 so further edits could be made. Overall though I feel PS for the iPad should be more in depth. Even the base model 2018 iPad could handle some tasks. Let’s make it happen. Make me want to invest I’m am iPad Pro for artistic purposes and be able to use the devices as such. Right now everything still solely relies on a MacBook and or laptop. Which is fine because it’s been that way, but for myself and for somebody who never gets stuck in the same type of office space, it would be nice if the iPad had more flexibility so it could be a more prosumer device compared to what it is now. Anyway, still love Adobe mobile apps, just hope to see them shine through as time progresses.
Works great on the go
by Bertactive on 2019/08/22 05:08
Works great on the go small issues with sending to PC and would be nice to have the ability to layer fonts when you’re feeling a little more artistic and everything else you need is in the app being its a simplified version multiple font layers is my only critique within the app interface possibly add the capability to use live icons like Bitmoji can be used in Snapchat with a live figure that’s Re-sizable doing different motions like. Playing air guitar, waiting tapping foot, thinking rubbing chin maybe a Looping pop up comment/thought bubble or rocking out would be a cool addition with seasonal or holiday themed additions you can keep but overall it gets the job done and communicates well enough to send the file to other apps or pc for greater edits in full PS. Two thumbs up from me in overall performance!,.. Rob Napier #Duuuuvaaalll!
Destroyed
by Zero7starz on 2018/12/16 18:17
Welp. Now I have to find a new editor. I never understand why companies think it’s a GOOD IDEA to take away features. This app used to be amazing and it auto adjust images perfectly. Well they took that feature away and left only the magic wand. So now, either I get way too much effect or it barely does anything to make the image look better. I’m frustrated and angry about this. Frankly I didn’t have time to go shop for another photo editor to use on my mobile but now I have to stop everything I’m working on because they took that away in the middle of me editing a month’s worth of photos. To keep the consistency, it also destroyed what work I had already done. Thank you adobe for being the absolute biggest pain in my side this holiday season. So to sum up: If you were looking for a photo editing app that works fantastically well with quick and easy edits you best look somewhere else. This app will no longer help you unless you want to sit and tweak dozens of sliders for hours on end. That’s the main reason I never use Snapseed!!
AMD
by AMDLP on 2018/04/13 04:31
Lots of really nice photo editing and collage features -for free! I’m not a photographer or into photography at all but I enjoy fixing up the images if I’m going to print them. Once you tinker around with a few pics and see what each tool does to correct/enhance the photo it becomes a breeze to use. I’m using it for the first time and found it user friendly and intuitive. The only criticism I’d give it is that when you undo an action it doesn’t tell you which action you’ve undone. For someone like me who doesn’t know what each feature does on regular photoshop on a desktop, it’d be nice to know each time what I’m “undoing”. Even without that feature, there are a lot of useful tools to enhance your phone pictures without making them look too filtered or overdone i.e. noise and color reduction, shadows, red eye and blemish correction, etc.
I wish we could do more.
by Anya S. 0607 on 2017/11/15 03:44
Thanks for responding. I’m sorry if I took too long to answer the email, but I emailed the photos. The first photo is the original, and the second one is the edited photo. Thank You so much! Original Review: When I first opened the app, I thought “What a fake app. It doesn’t even look real.”. Those first assumptions were wrong. I pulled up an image of the solar system. I wanted to change the image completely into something else. I have and always wanted to photoshop something, so I was ready for excitement. By the time I finished, the solar system was a fireball. Yet, I was still disappointed. I expected to be able to make it look like I was there, in the solar system. Everything I did on this app, I could do easily and quicker on InShot. If I could give this app 2 1/2 stars, I would. Isn’t Photoshop supposed to be editing yourself into it. I want to put myself in the photo badly, and I bet other people do too. I’ve seen people Photoshop people into Paris or Jupiter. It’s an amazing skill I wish this app could do. I will keep this app because it is semi useful, but I will wait for my request for an update. To be fair, adjusting Contrast and fixing mess-ups is Technically photoshop. Please respond back. I am hoping you can find a way to let people express themselves by photoshopping their self into places.

TOO BAD......IT WAS A great program!!!

by fhrgrgefeg on 2021/01/10 18:36
They removed most of the free features to resell in a subscription.

New update
by Craigalbertez on 2021/01/09 23:52
This new update is terrible.

Thanks.

by Capitalist Kev on 2021/01/04 21:06
You can’t do much with the free version so you can go ahead and skip this one. There’s plenty of photo editing apps that are just as good if not better then what this is offering. I’m sure it’s great of you plan on paying for it but let’s be honest, you’re a cheapskate like the rest of us.
Information Grab

Limited features
by GunnerNtito on 2020/12/26 14:39
When I originally started using this app there were quite a few free features and all of a sudden you have extremely limited options. No warning, nothing. You have two collage grids to choose from, that’s it. I’m disappointed and will be looking for another app. I didn’t use much on here so it’s definitely not worth the $19.99 yearly cost.

Used to be amazing.. but keeps getting worse.
by BrendanXC on 2020/08/02 03:34
I used to love this app and everything about it.
