So asking for my location
by jmadruga1 on 2019/05/21 22:54
I don't want to give access to my location at all times. Traffic times aren't with it. Unfortunately, every time I open the app it asks. Please stop asking.
Great Business Travel Tool!

You can name the trips to match expense reports. keeps flights, hotels, and rental cars in one convenient app. Let’s me know when there are delays and suggests alternatives when a flight is canceled. Simply an awesome app!
Great...so far

Just started using this app today(20190519). We are planning a trip to London & Paris and this seemed to be the best app. We’ve tried TripAdvisor and Google Trips and neither was up to par. I will do a more complete review at a later date.
Easy Trip Planning for Group Travel
by Jen-Told on 2019/05/18 01:16
When we have no pre-planned itinerary, the app keeps me from going crazy finding things to do and places to go. I have the addresses ready to use with Google maps or my car GPS. It easily connects with Open Table. However, the ability to text all information to guests is a bit unreliable. It’s the only reason that the app is 4 instead of 5 stars.
Convenient tool

I enjoy using TripIt because it makes it easy to consolidate my trip plans without having to rummage my inbox!
Great travel tool!

Great tool that gathers all your travels email info and organizes it into one easy to access place...
Freakishly frustrating and sometimes great.
by PreskitDave on 2019/05/16 21:20
User interface is inadequate from iPad and iPhone. No ability to copy(duplicate) an event. No drag and drop. No ability to have overlapping vacation schedules and keep the entries separated between two users. Unable to add some details for some events, for example, an end time not available for some activities. Notes not available to add in some events. Unclear interface caused me to accidentally merge two different vacations into one “trip”, losing duplicate records which had extensive comments added. Under a cruise ship port (e.g. The port for Athens) overwrites all port notes for other ports on the same cruise. Look, if you are going to another port, why would you want to a) loose your comments regarding transportation in Venice and b) what use would Athens transportation have on the day you are in Venice. I have loved this software. I’ve used it for a half dozen trips or more. The software successfully imports most airline tickets, train tickets, and hotel reservations, etc. via a simple forwarded email. This part is very elegant in creating a calendar of a trip. It is really useful. Just travel alone or have the exact same itinerary as anyone you travel with. With this combined trip, I want to pull out my hair.
I love TripIt

Indespensible for heavy travelers. Not just for business travelers, also for leisure travelers. Still requires manual entry for Airbnb reservations - hoping they will figure that out soon.

Invaluable for keeping travel plans
by Kori's Mom on 2019/05/11 13:09
Not sure how I kept track of details of travel plans before, but none were as clear, easy, and helpful as TripIt. Whether it’s air reservations (which automatically update with schedule changes), car rentals, hotel info, cruises with ports of call, or activities such as dining reservations, concerts, tours, etc. they are all tracked with all relevant information like times, locations, phone numbers, notes, and more. I would say this is in my top 3 phone apps.
Unbelievable

Stop the review spam already
by xfsrsf on 2019/05/08 00:24
Every time I go to use this app it asks for a review. So here’s your 1 star for spamming. iOS apps aren’t supposed to ask for reviews when the “in-app ratings and reviews” flag is off, so not only is this annoying, it’s also an App Store violation.
Great way to consolidate my info.
by T-Mesh on 2019/05/06 14:25
Love this app. Great way to keep all my info in one place. Only thing that keeps it from 5 stars is that I can no longer edit and add self planned events to the day within the app. It appears I have to go to the website if I want to add a note of a place I want to see, or a museum to visit. But as far as keeping all my reservation info in one place, it’s great.
Poor response time
by Happnsucks on 2019/05/06 00:48
3 days and counting without any response from customer support. Trip shows a conflicting flight but does not allow me to rectify it myself. So far I would not rely on this or their team to be the single source of information for my trip.

Amazing App, I can’t travel without it
by Tlidartth on 2019/05/05 02:15
I used TripIt when it came out many years ago and then just started using it again. No other app out there compares with it! This app is saved me many hassles my entire trip to Europe was saved here. I would like to get upcoming alerts but I don’t travel enough to pay for the pro version. You did an amazing job, TripIt guys, keep it up!
Can’t trust the information
by jascheu on 2019/05/03 23:48
This has been on my phone for several years and I’ve learned to be wary of the information it displays. I have a flight tomorrow and when I looked at the email the app sent today, it had the wrong airport listed for my flight. A couple of years ago I got a message from them that a flight was delayed and found that it wan’t delayed.
Outstanding App!
by Jeno33931 on 2019/05/02 15:25
We took a ten week trip and used Trip-It exclusively. Our printed out itinerary was 54 pages! We had nonstop activities, hotels, restaurant and other reservations. Trip-It kept track of them flawlessly. The printed out itinerary wasn’t necessary, but that was our backup. We had no trouble accessing Tripit on or offline whenever we needed it. Great job Trip-It!
Excellent tool
by qweweeerrggdgdg on 2019/05/02 01:31
I’ve been using it extensively and find it the most convenient part of my travels. Super easy to get flight / hotels etc into the tool and manage travels. Makes travelling a breeze.
Great app for tracking trips- Pro version
by Rdkreiss on 2019/05/01 17:48
This app is easy to use. They are responsive to problems and suggestions. The program will track your points with various affinity programs. Also it will remind you about getting your boarding pass also if there are any flight delays. They are sometimes faster then the airline.
It reads your and organizes your trips
by MPlann on 2019/05/01 09:58
TripIt does an amazing job of organizing all your trip information. It reads your confirmation emails and put things in order, so that what you have, with zero effort on your part, is a full itinerary ready to go when you open the app. Can’t live without this!

I am an evangelist for this app. There is no easier way to organize your travel and stay up to date in changes.
stopped working
by erieguy on 2019/04/29 20:47
This USED to be a great app. The auto import feature stopped working and when I try to reactivate it all I get is an error message: “oh oh, something went wrong.” I even deleted and reinstalled the app but still get the same error message.
I travel for work and this is a lifesaver
by Rocky713 on 2019/04/29 17:37
I use the free version, and it's amazing!! I love that you can put in flight and hotel information and schedule activities, and can even have it pulled from your email. I travel for work so this helps me keep all my meeting locations in one simple spot.
Two basic functions done well, the rest of the app is unimpressive
by AIM Fan for Years on 2019/04/29 00:48
This tool began as a master itinerary planner. You email them your itineraries from multiple sources (hotel, airline, restaurant, etc.) and it puts them together into a trip plan. This function is strong even if some small details (like sending a subsequent updated itinerary may lead to two of the same flight showing on the same date, which you then have to manually edit) can be trying. The other strong function is the points tracker, which is informative but not as critical as the trip planning tool. However, other functions sound good on paper but don’t have the usefulness a discerning traveler requires. Take the seat tracker for example. If you book a premium economy seat on BA and want to search for an outside aisle seat, you can search for aisle seats in front of the wing, behind the wing, or anywhere. This cabin can be both on and behind the wing so there’s no way to narrow the search appropriately. And if you want a premium economy cabin seat, you have to add the cabin to economy rather than say you want only premium economy. If you want an outside aisle seat (not a middle aisle), forget it - that’s not an option. So this app is the epitome of good intentions poorly delivered. But still worth using if you don’t expect too much.
Tremendous
by AjaxAz on 2019/04/28 17:24
Easy and intuitive, this is a great app.
Don’t see any value here
by Flyman_gm on 2019/04/28 12:48
A get TripIt pro for free from work. It bombards me with information I already know, but isn’t 100% correct - what it gets wrong is that flights that I booked and cancelled remain in the system so the APP puts me in multiple places at once. For example if I book a trip from the US to South Africa, then cancel that ticket because I prioritize a trip to Geneva instead I will check-in reminders etc for both trips. Since I sign-up for alerts from Delta, Lufthansa, BA, and Qatar I get the information for my flights first hand from them (before I get them from TripIt). I tend to believe the first hand information more than the second hand information from TripIt. So I’m left wondering - what is TripIts purpose? Adds no value or function to my travel experience.
Great way to keep it all together
by d4momma on 2019/04/28 04:13
Wow! How did I get along without this! Keeps all reservations together no matter where you booked. Fabulous!!!

Very simple to use; all your key travel arrangements in one place.
Missing key features supported by competitors
by Alexander S L on 2019/04/27 07:11
I want to like this app, because on the surface, it looks good. But there are several things that competitors like kayak do better 1. Parsing emails for reservation details. It fails to correctly read reservation details from the Norwegian train system, the Prague train system, and Norwegian airlines. I end up recreating/correcting several mistakes. 2. The flight arrival/departure information is near useless. Gate information isn’t shown, neither is the ability to directly open the airline’s tracking site to get better information. Again, this is something Kayak supports. 3. The watch app is missing information such as gate info and baggage carousel info. At this point, it only shows you the departure time, which is frequently out of date unless you open the app. Again, Kayak has this well-supported. I’ll be going back to Kayak, despite already getting TripIt pro through my corporate travel provider. Kayak is free, but still beats the pants off this paid service.
On Point
by The Chris on 2019/04/27 02:54
Best travel app, hands down. Not only can I keep track of my personal and company travel plans, but it’s a great early warning tool for late flights, gate changes, and so on. There have been several occasions when there was a gate change, and I knew about it long before it was posted to the airline website, or even the departure gate itself. Great tool!
Love it!
by Sami and Susu on 2019/04/26 15:02

by ShaeOlive on 2019/04/26 14:01

Time zone conflict ... really?
by djmurphy5 on 2019/04/24 23:09
Just went to create our first trip plan and it won’t accept the details of our flight because we’re crossing so many time zones we’re technically arriving in one country 5 min after we left the other. That’s a frequent thing for regular overseas travelers. I tried to fix it but there was no way to edit the time zones and it pulls it straight from our flight info. Guess this won’t work for us.
Unmatched for organizing travel details especially 3 weeks oversea
by Mimf17 on 2019/04/23 23:51
I began with a free trial on Tripit and after a month I was happy to buy Trip Pro at half price when offered. It takes a bit of practice to get to know your way around it but is very worthwhile. Every flight number, time etc, every day tour purchased is in there with confirmation number, restaurant reservations and on and on. Saves a forest because I don’t need to reprint with every change or addition. I now use it for even a weekend away as well as 3 week vacations.
instant delete - garbage
by graemeearly on 2019/04/23 20:40
tried because my employer uses concur and one would think concur and tripit were smoothly linked. for starters it treated all my trips as a single itinerary with a 300 day trip duration lol. i’ve used a few of these tools and travel a couple hundred nights a year — this is THE WORST app of this kind i’ve tried. off to delete my connection info/permission. terrible.
Great product!
by jpomn236u on 2019/04/23 18:55
Multiple trips since retirement. I love planning and organizing using this app. It is exciting finding day trips, places to eat, or local events, then adding to the calendar. Great to use prior to a trip, during the trip, and even after.

Complications dont update
by soundneedle on 2019/04/22 14:41
Watch fails to show updated gate info that the Tripit app shows hours ago. What's the point if I have to dig out my phone to confirm the watch is correct? Paying for this too.
Does not update when flight times are changed or cancelled
by tmernelson on 2019/04/22 14:28
I liked this app until I realized that it does not automatically change when flight times are changed by the airline or if I cancel the reservation. I can find no way to remove the reservation from the app. Super annoying as it can be quite confusing to use if outdated info is used with current info. Have to check email anyway to find out which one is current.
Great, but ...
by Avatar132613 on 2019/04/21 19:45
While I thoroughly enjoy the benefits of this app, the one shortfall is the inability to print a hard copy of my itinerary. There are times when I do not have connectivity and having a backup copy is very important. Otherwise, pretty good app.
Does what I need well
by navigatenet on 2019/04/20 14:47
I’m more of a casual traveler, but at least 4-5x/year. Been using TripIt for years, and it’s habit now and very nice to simply forward air, lodging, car, and other confirmations and have TripIt process for me and have ready for easy reference (versus endless searching in e-mail). I’m not a power user and can’t speak to those features, but I know I enjoy using the app and find it very helpful and that it helps relieve stresses of travel. Would strongly recommend.
Easy way to keep an organized itinerary
by malschen on 2019/04/19 15:32
What I enjoy the most is that this app allows a user to keep an organized itinerary without necessarily having a WIFI connection abroad. Also, it’s fairly easy to add them either manually or using their email method.
I just want to delete my account
by Fugehirdgsfjg on 2019/04/18 15:33
Please delete my account. I have been trying for 30 minutes. The website literally does not allow you to click the “close my account” button after one attempt, and makes a red “are you sure you want to delete this account” appear which just refreshes the page. I’ve tried to close my account through the app as well, and get a “oops” error message every time. This is extremely shady and concerning.
Actually works
by Beijing Sounds on 2019/04/18 15:02
Just forward emails with itineraries and then, voila, they’re all in the app. It really does fill in empty spot in my first world life.

Very disappointed...
by very disappointed user! on 2019/04/15 12:05
Firstly, it was very hard for me to put in my flight information. When I could in fact in put my flight information it was very confusing. I had my plane ticket on my phone and I would much rather have just put that into the app. I was hoping for actual maps or something like google maps rather than just pictures.

The Only Travel App I Need
by M - Team on 2019/04/10 22:16
This is seriously the best travel app ever. It doesn’t matter what website I Purchase travel through, it doesn’t matter what airline, hotel, etc. The only thing that matters is that trip it grabs it all and put it in one place for me. The ability to share my trip with others is remarkable, it makes it so easy to travel and share the details of a business trip with colleagues.

Terrible experience
by sotoseojo on 2019/04/09 16:38
The app uploaded the wrong returning flight. Costing me and my partner thousands of dollars and a nine hour wait at the airport. I want everyone to know my experience since I don't want this to happen to any future users.

The best automatic organiser- nuts not to have it
by old and simple on 2019/04/07 21:42
Hey all, once you have this all set up with an email address ( if worries about privacy, create a travel email), then have all your agencies that arrange your travel with the same address, game over. SO GOOD and seamless. Think about all the hotels, airlines, Expedia, car rentals etc have this one email, then TRIPIT does it magic pulling the itinerary together with all required detail. I am going to sign up to professional. Not because I am clear on the value but contributing to what they have available for free today- nuts.

I had been using World Mate until it was withdrawn from the market. Was at first reluctant to use TripIt pro but after a week I couldn't remember all the flights, rental cars and hotels booked by our travel department. So I enrolled and was pleasantly surprised. Timely push notifications. Timely reminders. Accurate notifications. What more could one ask? After all it's not supposed to travel for you. You still have to do your due diligence. I have now been using TripIt Pro for over a year. It is my fundamental go-to for all things related to travel. Want a gps-driven map? Press the address of the hotel you’re booked at. Want to be updated on gate changes? TripIt Pro sends you push notifications with latest information.
Add to wallet doesn't work
by DanJ210 on 2019/04/01 16:25
Adding itinerary or any kind of confirmation to Apple wallet doesn't work. You have to press the open from browser button, go through the entire process again, then you can add to wallet because it's doing it from the browser not the app.
Easy to use
by chgo buckeye on 2019/04/01 01:50
Love using the app and it’s easy to use. Would definitely recommend for use.
BEWARE PRIVACY PIRATES
by Anjayanasa on 2019/03/29 14:28
It doesn’t openly show you how to remove an email address or cancel your account. Huge privacy concern. Their help instructions on the app point to a nonexistent “remove email” button. Update your directions, stop hiding the opt out!
Very handy

Great way to keep track of a trip. Also good for going back to remember a trip and what a person did.

Top 3 of all apps. All time. Ever.
by ccmv12 on 2018/11/28 17:57
Since I started using this app, I have travelled 1,482,337 miles. I LOVE this app. I travel a lot for work (and holidays) and being able to email my booking confirmations, private and work and have them all in one place is fantastic. It changed my travel routine. Rather then show up with a folder of different printed confirmations, it’s all laid out in one place. My wife and I share our itineraries and it’s great for family trips where we book different parts. Its like I have a brilliant assistant with programming knowledge. Just bring a battery pack for your phone after a long flight :-) I try hundreds of apps each year but after many years using this app it is still the most useful thing on my phone after the calendar and mail app. Seriously, I have emailed booking confirmations as PDF’s, word docs, email etc from some really funky airlines and it’s rarely missed a beat. My only suggestion to the developers to improve on perfection might be to tie in with one of the flight map apps so I can see on the plane which country I am flying over. Those guys have nothing like the capability you do, so a tie in could be cool. Thanks again for all the travel hassle you guys saved!
Making Live Easier and Organized
by Johnnyd23 on 2018/11/29 22:26
This is a great app and it has worked for me 98% from the time I downloaded it for my iPhone. I travel 25 weeks a year and this has made me more organized and efficient. I email my air, hotel, train or car rental confirms to Tripit and with in minutes it's all on my iPhone. To have a single place to have ALL of my travel info is a dream. I use to be in the back of a cab and the driver would ask "What is the address of the hotel?" I would have to open my briefcase backpack find the file, find the hotel info and tell the guy, then get to the hotel and go through the process again at the hotel when they can't find my confirm number. Now I look at the specific trip on TripIt and it's all there. If you are a business traveler this is an awesome app. I was so impressed with the free version I upgrading to the paid version. Thanks TripIt, keep the updates coming, it just keeps getting better and better.
Good travel App but can be improved
by jciek on 2018/01/31 18:39
The app is good and practical. Since WorldMate's discontinuation (the best App that was available to manage trips in my view), TripIt Pro is the App that I find to be the closest to it. After trying many others that are available in the App Store, I found TripIt to be the best one out there. Well thought with good features. However, I would suggest two improvements to it: 1. To allow flight searches from within the app. No need to have the option to buy tickets from within the app but it would be very helpful to be able to search for flights independently from any saved trip (this option was available in WorldMate). 2. It would be very helpful to have the possibility to add trips' information on already existing calendars without having to subscribe to a new one (currently, one has to subscribe to a new TripIt calendar). This is particularly true when your calendar is accessible to your assistant and/or colleagues so they can check your availability.
Worth It!!
by Pierre V 007 on 2018/06/24 17:58
I love this app in Pro version! It works as a concierge, travel agent, reminder, and will even give alerts if you are elegible for a better fare. This feature alone has paid for the annual app multiple years. The app will even remind you when you should leave for the airport to allow time for traffic and check in. If the gate changes, you get a reminder. It will provide you with a layout of the airportI so you know where to go. The app will also let you know of available lounges within the airport. It also keeps track of your mileage reward program with airlines and hotels. You can share your trip itinerary with friends and/or coworkers. A new feature If traveling out of the country, it will provide you with vital information so you know what to expect exchange rate, type of electrical adapters you may need, etc. I have only touched on a few benefits, there are a lot more. Well worth it!!
Customer service is lacking. Many bugs
by CarolynBali on 2019/01/21 23:02
I used TripIt pro for two years very happily, and then somehow my ex partners email address became associated with the account, And it kept requesting his password which I did not have access to. It was impossible to purge his email address from the account, so I let my subscription run out so that I could start completely fresh. I even neglected the offer to renew at half price, and bought the full new subscription for $49, to avoid any association with my old account. When I went to begin syncing my new TripIt pro account with my iCal and other options offered, it informed me that the function could not be completed because there was already an identical account using my email. There is no way to get real-time assistance from a live chat or call anyone. If you have a problem you have to wait a couple of days for them to email you back, and even then there is no guidance to walk you through fixing the problem. I’ve wasted many hours of my valuable time trying to get the service that I have paid for. Very disappointed and frustrated! 😟
Disappointed
by Memphis Willie on 2018/04/20 19:02
I pay premium each year. It’s great that it syncs with concur. But, manual addition of trips is pathetic from an interface perspective. It also merges trips rather than creating new trips when bookings come over from concur. Mixing trips because the end date of one overlaps with beginning date of next. For example, tonight I had to manually separate two trips. I had to execute the move option three times. Each time it looked like the flight and car were moved to a new trip. I would then look but no new trip in my trip list. I would refresh. Still no trip. I would go back into the original trip and the mixed travel plans were still there. I moved them again. Eventually, two new trips showed in my trip list but were empty. The original trip which was mixed had all of the bookings still in one trip. One more move and it finally stuck. Mail in feature of adding flights, hotels, and car rentals does usually work. If it were not for that feature, I would cancel my subscription.
Most flexible trip organizer
by David_Dawson on 2019/03/17 12:36
I have used this for more than five years. I’ve tried a few other trip organizers and always go back to this. I am still amazed how quickly everything automatically, magically gets added to this app. That’s the most important thing, flight times, layover lengths, etc. The logistics of the flights should I mostly use it for. It even automatically imports paid shuttles on one end or the other of the flights. It really couldn’t be easier to use and a ton easier than searching for emails. There are a few notes and related things sometimes but I would like to add and it’s easy to add them manually. I add, for example, a restaurant in the airport to visit, or the first destination I need to hit after a flight, or location to pick up ski passes, related things like that. This app is so flexible.
Love this App!
by Tigerldy on 2018/03/09 00:10
I plan my own vacations, including transportation, rooms and tours. It’s so easy to keep it all organized with a TripIt. I just forward the confirmation emails (no explanation needed) to TripIt plans and they list it all in chronological order, with all the details, so I can view it on line or print out the list. I get an alert when it’s time to check in for my flights, along with a link to the airline’s sight. Recently on of my upcoming flights was delayed (after check-in). TripIt informed me that I couldn’t make my connecting flight, and gave me a list of alternate flights. It was sooo easy to change my flight, because I had all the information I needed. I even get a notice if I don’t have accommodations at a location for which I booked tours. And there’s so much more! I highly recommend this service!
Perfect way to organize travels!
by spnowels on 2018/12/02 08:38
I’ve been using this app for 2 years. My husband and I travel a few times a year and have found that this app is our “go to” way to organize ourselves. We can share the itinerary with each other and our friends and family super easy. It’s a perfect way to track as much or as little details as needed. I love how easy it is to reference and especially love the clean print out I can print!!! I do wish there was an easier way (cleaner way) to track expenses for reference or an option to include in the final summary. There is an area where you can add total cost under “Booking info” ... currently I’ve been adding under “Notes” so it will show up easier. We have not found anything better than this app to coordinate, track, record and share our trip info.
Easy Trip Planning
by Bbpromanage on 2018/06/26 09:53
Most all trips weather they be for work/aiding a need, educational/exploratory, or just leisurely/vacation. you can bet it will require a great deal of planning, coordination, and communication to pull it off without a hitch. That's why I am very glad I found trip planner, as a father of six amazing children, any trip can quickly escalate into a huge undertaking. Tripit makes the entire production of planning a successful journey seem easy, as a simple, and even fun, application to log every last contact, phone number, reservation, confirmation, to the last detail. it doesn't stop there! Once the trip begins Tripit is still there to help, not just as a reference tool, but provides safety reports for each event based on it's local crime stats, provides directions and maps one with simple push, gets you from here to the next activity on time. Now the icing on the cake, it even assists you in capturing, documenting, and organizing the amazing experience each event brings, by providing individual notes sections, ane even a place to store photos within each event. Tripit is definitely a must have app when planning any trip. Because it allows you to focus on the experience, while Tripit is handling all the plans! And MORE!!! You're my personal Tripit planning assistant!!!

Love this App
by HM167 on 2018/10/28 20:56
This is arguably the best loved of all my apps. I’m a user since 2013, first free, then paid, and I call myself the “Tripit Evangelist.” The paid option will bring a smug smile to your face as you sleep past 3am get up and go time, just because Tripit let you know the night before the flight has been delayed by 5 hrs. Or you stand in the Frankfurt Airport - ALL systems down, total blackout (yes in Germany!) - and you’re the ONLY one in the whole place who knows their gate change!! You’re the one advising the Lufthansa desk!!! Love the new travel stats too. One feature that I would like to see, is a search function to find quickly how many times and when I’ve been to a particular place, city or country, Please, please, please you smart developers, work on this!
Pro paid for itself
by Skyray on 2017/12/20 06:39
I only travel a few times a year, so I’d made do with the free version of TripIt. However, I decided to try Pro during a promotional price offer. And I’m glad I did — within a couple of days of signing up, I was notified of a price change for an upcoming flight, along with a wonderfully detailed email explaining how to try to request a refund for the difference. One phone call and 5 minutes of my time and I have a $57 refund for the price drop. The other features are great as well. The one time I had trouble importing a car rental reservation, I sent them the problem file and they updated their software to account for the changes in the confirmation email within a few days. Really happy with the app so far!
Perfect way to store trip details
by terminal listmaker on 2018/05/20 18:11
Been using the free version for years after reading how much business travelers loved this app. Keeps track of every confirmation number, date, flight or train ticket that I forward to it for a trip. Allows me to look in ONE PLACE for any detail I need. Does this remarkably well by allowing me to forward e-mails from hotels, travel agents, transportation companies to the app. All details are then magically organized chronologically in an format that is intuitive for me to use. No more digging through emails to find my confirmation number or a check in time For something I booked months ago. All the info I could possibly need is stored in TripIt for as long as I need it. Can’t imagine how it could possibly be done better.
Did I ever live without this?
by Aonmmom on 2018/04/04 14:21
Been using TripIt for years, so excellent, essential travel app! Every complicated multistage trip organized everything in one place, can't tell you how great it is. Every time I head to the airport I'm thankful everything is in TripIt. You know what's funny? I didn't write the above review, it was suggested by TripIt when I finally, after YEARS of use, took the time to rate it. But it's so true. On my last trip, a 7 different airport, multi stage college tour with my teenager, I was raving to him about TripIt, how different it used to be to travel without it, all the flights, the rental cars, the hotels, the airbnbs, everything in order with all notes in one place. I would never want to give it up. This is the travel app you want - I promise!
My security blanket
by Virgo313 on 2018/11/15 02:29
I rarely take the time to review a product, but this is the best travel idea ever! I love planning our trips and spend hours browsing for the best flights and cruises, private excursions, and accommodations to suit our needs. Every step of my itineraries can be integrated, simply by forwarding the details to TripIt as I receive them. There is a free app, which does a good job, but Tripit Pro offers many extras, which add alerts, price drops, and many other perks. Everything I need to know to manage up to four trips a year is always available on my phone or iPad. And on a travel day, Tripit sends updates about on-time status, as well as gate changes or cancellations.. If you travel, take a minute and check it out.
So good--so Bad
by toluca phil on 2017/12/12 20:06
Upgrade one star to 5. Glad I gave it another go. I really believe it superior to TripCase. They’ve corrected my issues. It’s now good enough to drop all other similar apps. Previously have a 4 star review because anyone you sent your itinerary to had to sign up. Without that it would have been 5. In the meantime they have saved me money, with alerts, twice. NOW, however, they have gone too far. With the latest update you could NOT get to your info without first clicking that the new version was "brilliant". No other options and no info without clicking, It is a better app than tripcase, but I will no longer use it. They are disgusting and blatent in their business practices.
Best travel app by a good bit
by Mkematt on 2019/03/02 01:26
What makes this the best app? It's ability to ingest information. Quite simply it does it better than the rest. That and its ability to integrate. I love that I can use my trip it data in various apps. Like in my calendar or other travel apps or flight board. It's still the best. It has its issues, and some apps have cool features it doesn't. But it's still my go to travel app. I may tinker with others. But I rely on this one. I recently moved up to Tripit pro after using the regular version for years and years. I love it. I travel a lot so it’s worth it. When I didn’t travel as much it wasn’t as compelling but now that I’ve gone pro I don’t think I’d go back.
Great itinerary keeper
by Harry9643751 on 2018/02/12 15:34
After using TripCase for many, many years... I am really enjoying the move to TripIt! Integrates pretty seamlessly with Concur. One REALLY annoyed by thing about all these travel apps is too many alerts. “Your trip is starting soon...”. No it’s not. It’s 2 days away. When you travel all the time, that’s pretty far off. Between the airline notices, the hotel emails & alerts & now the TripIt alerts, I’m getting way too many alerts. I know I can switch them off, but now I’m worried I’ll miss something important. I need an option to only alert me about important changes to the trip (departure time or gate changes only). No need to alert me about upcoming hotel stays or car rentals!
Requires considerable fussing
by JenniferMBee on 2018/02/04 15:37
Traveling over time zones means the flight or what have you shows up incorrectly. This and other details of the way it process info mean that I constantly have to fuss with entries to get them to appear correctly (and I never really trust what does show up) in my iCal. I like that I can forward travel plans in emails to he site for automatic processing, but as ?I said, these never show up just right. Too little flexibility in editing an entry: I can add notes to an entry when I first edit it (e.g., adding all dep. and arrival times and flight numbers for a multi-leg flight to the “notes” in any one flight’s entry) but editing after that doesn’t give me the “notes” field (or much of anything else to edit or add, just the basics. Nice idea for an app; I’ve used it for a long time in lieu of better options, but this one could work better.
Organizes my personal travel
by nmex41 on 2018/06/25 01:37
I love to plan my personal travel, and like to keep it organized. I thought I was doing a fine job of noting flight information and confirmation numbers, along with hotel reservations, putting everything in my phone and on my calendars. But, I recently discovered Tripit, and, you know, it almost takes away the fun. Almost! Because, all of a sudden I only need to make a reservation, click Forward to Tripit and every detail is entered, in chronological order, in my Tripit account AND on my calendar! Wow! Amazing! Thanks, Tripit! (P.S. I haven’t found a way to insert information about lodging that is not in a hotel, but is a private stay, at say, my sister’s home.)
Great App!
by taywisc on 2018/07/06 16:02
This is a great App! It helps me organize my travel and the travel of my colleagues, friends and family. I can check on the status of their flights, and if it looks like they’re going to miss their connecting flight, I can call the airline and make alternate arrangements all while they’re in the air! One feature that I wish it had, and prevented me from giving this App 5 stars is the ability to toggle between my (user’s) local time and the local airport time. If the arrival time into Paris is 9am, what time is that here in Arizona? It would be nice to know what (my) time they land. I have to use a second App to find this out. If I had this feature all through the TripIt App, I would definitely rate this 5 stars!
The perfect app for type A personalities.
by yosemiteisthebest on 2018/06/08 14:57
I love this thing. As the family vacation planner, I’ve carried itineraries and spreadsheets to far too many places. Discovered this a year ago. We did a giant trip out west over three weeks, staying in 14 places with different family members flying in and out of various airports, getting car rentals, etc. TripIt kept it all organized and allowed me to add other events to the schedule. Then I just shared the trip info with whoever. One thing though, just because you organize it and share it, it doesn’t mean your family will look it up. They’ll probably still ask you, “what are we doing tomorrow?”
For All Flight Knights
by Ngraz on 2018/10/09 23:38
I enjoy TripIt it works great for keeping track of ALL of my travel. It has already paid for itself by alerting me to price changes that were lower than originally purchased. A simple call to the airline and you already paid for TripIt. My only complaint would be that there needs to be an Apple Watch complication. This is minor in the grand scheme. It tracks everything with TripIt Pro and 9 out of 10 times TripIt alerts me of gate changes or cancellations before the airline. You can even have it keep an eye out for a better seat if you don’t get the one you want when booking. A++++
Super organized, very helpful
by Happy Tripit'rs on 2019/01/12 05:24
Just email the itinerary pdf to their email address, and kaboom. My daily travel information is organized on a daily basis. Hotel policies are plainly explained, flight information and check in option are also available. The best experience we just had with TripIt was when they contacted us through their partner AirHelp to help us with monetary compensation when the airline cancelled one of the flight legs. A few clicks and document updates and two months later we had our flight cancellation compensation deposited in our checking account. Amazing service!
Itinerary import is not very good
by Bryan_T on 2017/09/08 19:25
If I forward the itinerary from my travel agent account with the option to show my personal email as the source, the app doesn't and understand replies to my personal email that i have an unfiled item in my account. I go to my account select the unfiled item and choose to add a trip and it still will not import the data, I have to create everything manually. The work around is to sent the email to myself and then forward it to tripit. Very frustrating since it's the exact same data and format and clearly it knows where the data comes from because in case 1. I get an email of unfiled items and in case 2, I get an email that a trip was added. Save yourself the frustration and just use tripcase. It actually works.
Mobile view difficult to use, import function rocks!
by ppiotrowski on 2018/10/06 05:21
First of all I love the import function of the itinerary. And the ability to see multiple itineraries for several trips. Still working out how to add items that don’t come in an itinerary such as Airbnb. The big downside for me was when you launch the app the mobile view was very difficult and very tiny. However when you look at the itinerary page it comes in a much better mobile format. Keep working on this, a great app for organizing multiple trips with more than 1 person Now if it could track expenses and allow you to add extraneous items like day passes etc.
Most useful travel app
by txh145 on 2018/09/13 07:55
TripIt is so handy on a complex trip like the one we are now on in Iceland. Many different hotels or B&B reservations, destinations, activities to keep track of. I don’t write many reviews but I recommend TripIt to everybody. It’s especially great when you get an email confirmation from a recognized chain or airline that will simply transfer to the app, but it’s even more useful with these kind of reservations that require me to put in all the complex info by hand ... but rather than sort through printouts in folders that get lost, it’s always right there on my phone or iPad. Thanks so much.
Great organizer!
by Panjo! on 2018/05/21 20:27
I love the TripIt app. We are planning 2 weeks in Germany and I can keep track of flights, hotel reservations, and tours in a format that is easy to manipulate. I've added a note for each location where I keep track of things to do in each town we are visiting. The one thing I wish it had is a calendar view so I could see the trip laid out like a calendar instead of the list format. also ometimes the days run together in the list format, it would be helpful if the different days had different color backgrounds so you could tell easily when something is on the next day.
Reliable, but a bit too viral (and needy)
by Prometheas on 2018/10/15 04:59
TripIt is a decent app and service. Neither the app nor the website is in any danger of winning UX or UI of The Year awards from… well, anyone, but it gets the job done. I have always been impressed with the service’s ability to parse and import flights, hotels, Airbnb bookings into your trip itineraries by forwarding confirmation emails, though there continue to be rough edges around some smaller carriers (and ferry bookings have never worked). I also appreciate that various other apps (like a number of packing list apps) integrate well with TripIt. It’s annoying that the app makes it difficult to share itinerary info without getting the email addresses of the recipients. I never liked the idea of feeding my friends’ and family’s email addresses to some company’s spam bots. But in this post-Facebook-shadow-contacts world, supporting a public share URL (like google docs or Evernote) is a no-brainer. I also wish someone would have a go at the data entry UX for itinerary items. It’s very functional, but outright cumbersome.
Lifesaver!
by Sweet Cupping Cakes on 2018/06/27 02:38
I love this app! We are going on a trip across Italy with flights, ferries, trains, and of course activities. This app visually shows how busy each day will be, and it’s nice and easy for even me to read. The really nice thing is that it logs flight numbers, seat numbers, confirmation numbers, train carriers, train numbers, port addresses, and so much more. Basically everything you need for travel all in one convenient app. I cannot say enough great things about this app, particularly for a long trip with multiple destinations and activities. So glad I found it!
One place for all trip info
by Sancapbel on 2018/10/18 20:23
Love this app because I can keep everything in one place. From planning three and four week vacations to one or two nights this app is my go-to organizer. Our grown family often travels to the same destination; arriving from multiple locations and with various schedules. This app is a one stop location where everyone can check in with each other and plan things together or apart, same hotel, etc. I’ve been using for several years and cannot imagine traveling without TripIt.
I 💜 this app!
by Michelle in PS on 2018/02/10 13:07
I use Tripit Pro for all my personal travel. I have no need for business travel so the only annoying thing about this app is that it keeps suggesting using Tripit for Teams. I added my son as a viewer so he can see where I am - it helps me feel safe that someone knows where I should be. Tripit has saved me $$ by finding a lower fare twice in the 6 years I’ve been using it. It syncs seamlessly to my iCal and the notifications of gate or time changes often come faster and more accurately than notifications from some airlines.
Awesome Sauce
by Surf City Homie on 2018/05/06 03:41
I love how this organizes all of my plans and things that I add to my trip. I just get up in the morning and I know what I’m going to do all day and it sends me alerts. But the best best best part is because I am the worst organized person in the world it seems to go into my email on its own and get the information it needs. Works for me. I couldn’t even find my own flight tickets until it alerted me that it already knew my flight plans. Thank goodness it’s more organized than me I couldn’t do this I think anymore without this app
Free version great/ Pro version only if your a frequent traveler
by Evol365 on 2019/01/08 14:33
So this is an awesome app first off just being the free version!! Emailing your plans to them and the system integrating them into your trip is awesome. Sometime it doesn’t work correctly and requires some manual input which is easy. However I looked into the yearly Pro version which seems appealing but if your already a really organized traveler and don’t have multiple points to keep track of or really only travel long distance a few times a year you should be able to get by with just the free version.
The app is very intuitive and useful
by Lenjax on 2018/11/02 14:31
I don’t travel for business or extensively. The app is super useful on my domestic and international trips. It actually trolls my email to find airline and other travel confirmation emails which is not always ideal and at times confusing. TripIt has errantly taken quotes that I’ve received and inserted them as a part of my plan. However 95% of the time TripIt has been the only itinerary tool I need and use when traveling. I tried TripIt Pro for their trial period and loved the additional functionality but again I don’t travel enough to justify the additional cost.
Good Travel App
by JJW1949 on 2018/11/29 22:16
This app combines several features in one which makes it very convenient. It remains a work in progress in a few areas. Once the travelers are set up it would be good for the app to populate new events so you do not have to re enter all the time. Some of the graphics could be a little more current. Other than that, it is a big help to have all of you travel info in one place. Recently we had to go from one terminal to another to catch the next flight. The terminal map with step by step instructions was a big help since we had no time to spare.
Great time saver
by jeffreydon11 on 2018/10/31 21:28
A must have app if you travel a lot. I travel often for work, and this app has eliminated my need to worry about which hotels, airlines, and rentals I have for which trip. Meaning I can save money and go with whatever service is least expensive. The only thing that would make it better for me is an integration with google calendar to automatically pull my meetings from google calendar the dates I am traveling and populate them in TripIt. Other than that, it does everything I need! Highly recommend!
Additional functionality is required
by Sal-QR on 2018/08/25 16:23
I can see big improvements since I started using TripIt 9 years ago but I’m still using it as intermediate App to bridge to my main travel App “TravelTraker Pro”. I really wish to switch to TripIt to become my only travel App and migrate all my previous data from TravelTrakerPro to TripIt. I can see now that most of the key functionalities are available like addicting an activity, dining, etc but still missing other like managing expenses for each item and overall event/trip. Also appreciate if you could provide a migration tool for data transfer. Thank you for keep developing and improving the App.
Great app
by Turkey Sandwiches on 2018/05/07 17:59
Love how organized everything is. Easy to use! I use this for work and personal travel. It makes travel hassle free since the app combines all your different rental agreements, hotel info, flights into one itinerary. I like how I only have to go to one place to see my full schedule. It’s also convenient that it will open up a navigation map for your destination and you don’t have to spend type typing individual addresses into your map app. I recommend this app to all my friends.
Information Hacked and Deleted
by LostTrip on 2018/07/16 03:30
I made a mistake to allow emails to be forwarded into an planned itinerary only to have my email address hacked where I lost all my information pertaining to an upcoming trip. I lost hundreds of emails (not just about the trip) and every confirmation number, tickets to events, you name it. My backups are also gone from my email. When I realized something was not right, I immediately looked at my schedule on this site, and my trip name had also been changed and the pin # I used for extra security suddenly won’t let me in. It says I have attached electronic tickets but there is nothing there in each entry. I attempted to contact the company and I’ve heard nothing back. If I could give it zero stars I would.
Invaluable for easily creating and sharing travel plans and itineraries
by Cyssf on 2019/02/04 16:00
I use Tripit to create my itinerary easily then print a hard copy to carry with me. This trip my daughter’s family shared with me so we could easily see and coordinate the hotels and flights. Recently I’ve noticed a few glitches (seat numbers not printing, bottom of itineraries cut off while printing) and contacted customer support. They answered the next day to say they had confirmed my issues and will refer them on to have them corrected.
Love it!
by AlexSolorz on 2018/01/17 00:52
I don’t usually write reviews but in this case I’ll make an exception. I was so frustrated trying to plan my European vacation until I found TripIt. It helps you map everything out from your flights, B & B’s, activities, trains, buses, etc. You can view it in a list or see it all on a map. I could even share my itinerary with family members in the area with contact names, numbers and addresses of where I would be staying. Easy to use and most importantly practical. Highly recommend for all travelers.
An amazing service that is ripe to be replaced
by David Vasquez on 2018/10/07 06:51
I’ve been a loyal TripIt member for years now, and I have a LOT of trips logged in their system. The service has been great, but it has largely languished over time. The service is in dire need of a complete makeover (UX, design, features, etc.). I’d love to see TripIt surprise me and come out swinging with a great new look and feel that brings it into the modern day as a service that tracks, manages, and records your trip seamlessly and easily. Sadly, I’m rapidly losing faith in the company putting forth the effort. I don’t know if it’s because they lack the capital, skill, are mired in legacy tech that’s holding them back, I don’t know, but I have started looking for alternative services that are easier to use and offer more features. I hope I’m wrong about TripIt, but I feel like I’m feeding a dying system and I’m looking for a way out. I hope you guys can prove me wrong! I don’t wanna move off your system, but I will if you don’t keep up with the times.

So asking for my location
by jmadruga1 on 2019/05/21 22:54
I don't want to give access to my location at all times. Traffic times aren't with it. Unfortunately, every time I open the app it asks. Please stop asking.

So far I would not rely on this or their team to be the single source of information for my trip.

by Tlidartth on 2019/05/05 02:15
I used TripIt when it came out many years ago and then just started using it again.

Tremendous

Great tool!
Love it!

I now use it for even a weekend away as well as 3 week vacations.
instant delete - garbage
by graemeearly on 2019/04/23 20:40
tried because my employer uses concur and one would think concur and tripit were smoothly linked. for starters it treated all my trips as a single itinerary with a 300 day trip duration lol. i’ve used a few of these tools and travel a couple hundred nights a year — this is THE WORST app of this kind i’ve tried. off to delete my connection info/permission. terrible.

Functional, useful, could be prettier
by hogmonkey123 on 2019/04/18 00:45
Love this app and service, been using it since I was a kid taking my first solo flights. It’s honestly indispensable at this point, but I wish the interface was a bit nicer to look at, and maybe had more info on the planes you’re flying.
Perfect App

I have contacted them multiple times and besides acknowledging the fact that the app failed they won’t reimburse me the money. I want everyone to know my experience since I don't want this to happen to any future users.

Cannot create an account
by Bomberpuke on 2019/04/08 15:26
I could not even create an account on the iPhone 8. It wanted a home airport and no matter what I did, it would stay empty. Seems to defeat the purpose of the app. I’m sure for those lucky ones who could get in it looks great.

A useful tool to keep you updated - Update
by CMD925 on 2019/04/01 17:32
I had been using World Mate until it was withdrawn from the market.

And MORE!!! You're my personal Tripit planning assistant!!!

by HM167 on 2018/10/28 20:56
This is arguably the best loved of all my apps.
